#be deadly fucking serious rn PLEASE whatttt. that post that's like 'parents will say something that shapes you as a person#but for them it was just another tuesday' like WHAT JUST HAPPENED#basically if you've been following me since i went to uni then you know first year was an... interesting time for me and my mum#we rowed all the time and it's the most unsettled our relationship has ever been and i do truly believe it was just some unfortunate#external factors like me leaving home would rock the boat enough it was always gonna rejig our dynamic#but on top of that i was her LAST child to fly the nest which she hated AND my sister was in germany being insanely dependent on my mum#so i got sidelined a lot which was shitty at the time but i get it now like im still a bit bitter bc being the eldest everything my sister#does is an exciting first and our age gap means typically our academic big moments tend to cross over#so my a-levels happened during her first year of uni so for me a-levels were the biggest thing ever but ofc her thing was bigger#but when she did HER a-levels it was the biggest thing ever and i was /just/ doing gcses etc and germany was the same#like it was JUST my first year of uni bc meanwhile my sister was living alone in a foreign country. so that sucks and my mum was#defo focused on my sister and i wasn't in a position to be like 'hey i know it doesn't seem like it now you've got one kid through it#but going to university and settling in for the first year is still an insanely stressful and lonely time so please pay attention to me'#and all in all me and my mum just STRUGGLED we fought A LOT and not petty rows either they were really emotionally heavy all the time#and basically what's caused this post is that she said about america 'it'll be the longest ive been away from you'#and i know what she meant like a month out of england is the biggest thing ive ever done and im not even in EUROPE so this is huge#but i kinda said like 'im pretty sure i went a month in first year a couple times without visiting?' AND I MEANT IT CASUAL#BC I AM PRETTY SURE IT'S TRUE LIKE I WASNT EAGER TO GO HOME I WENT SOME WEEKS NOT EVEN RINGING#which REALLY shows how strained it must have been at the time. and she responds with confusion so i pointed out that first year#wasn't a great time for us and again still being casual bc it's such a fundamental truth for me that first year was Bad for me and mum#and she just blinks at me like 'what are you talking about' what. WHAT. like i knew she wasn't paying much attention to me then#but it made me MISERABLE for an entire YEAR like boom can testify bc they had to deal with my bs over the phone the entire time#and my mum just. didn't even notice that we weren't doing well. what. what the fuck even..... baffled by this actually#like i am REELING from this i feel like she just tipped the fundamentals of my world with that#hella goes home

Your brand new album had recently dropped, and it was a major success. Of course, you were grateful for all the recognition you were receiving and even more for your most popular song on that album, Heavy Metal Lover.
The inspiration for the song came from your boyfriend who was more into the rock genre of music, a rough contrast to the pop music you make. You just wanted to make a song about him, not to say you don’t already have multiple about him, but one that was more about your music tastes.
Before your debut, you wondered if your boyfriend would have a problem with the kind of music you made, whether it’d put a strain on your relationship or not. You assumed that having a literal pop star for a girlfriend when all you listened to was rock and heavy metal would be somewhat challenging.
The question was if he’d still love you if you made pop music that attracted everyone in the world. I mean, your song was number one on multiple billboard digital sales charts across the globe. Yet, Spencer showed no signs of being uncomfortable with the amount of publicity he was receiving.
If anything, he enjoyed the publicity, especially the songs you made about him. He loved how you loved him so much that you’d make a song about it, it was honestly endearing.
As of now, you and a group of your friends are finishing up at a downtown bar, putting an end to your drinking and partying to celebrate the release of your album. To top it all off, your song just had to be blasting.
I could be your girl, girl, girl Girl, girl, girl But would you love me If I ruled the world, world, world?
“Girl, your man must be real loyal for staying with you while all these tours and interview shit going on!” your friend yells to you over the sound of your song playing.
“I mean of course! I love my boyfriend, this song is literally about him!” you boast, yelling back to her.
“I need to find a man like that! You got you a rough lil’ man that really loves you? Dare I say i’m fucking jealous!” she once again yells to you.
The thing was, Spencer was rough but in such a loving way. He had such an aggressive exterior, which honestly, wasn’t too far from the man he was. Behind closed doors, he wasn’t the sweetest man you’ve ever known even he if was ragged around the edges. Speaking of, inspired the next few lyrics of your song.
Whip me, slap me, punk funk New York clubbers, bump drunk Bud Lite, liquors, bar slam Move it, this is your jam
Now, in these lyrics, you were just talking about how your boyfriend fucks you. “Whip me, slap me, punk fuck” was you singing about how you expected something rough and adventurous from your lover. Though, that wasn’t exactly true.
You’d never expect Spencer to be aggressive while having sex unless you explicitly asked him to do so. Even then, being unruly with you was never in his ballpark. He was the most gentle and loving man you’d ever been with.
Especially when you two were drinking, he suddenly became 10 times more doting, sweet, and touchy than usual. Whether he’s trying to kiss you, or just have a hand on your body, his normal loving behavior skyrockets.
Now, it was definitely time for you and your girls to go home. You all had a time and enjoyed yourselves and now all you wanted to do was go home to your lovely boyfriend.
You said your farewells to all your girls and finally started to make the trip back home. As your Uber arrives, you start your way to your boyfriend.
Before you can step both feet into your and Spencer’s shared home, you feel arms encircling your waist and pulling you into a warm embrace.
“Hi, baby.” his husky voice greets you. “Had fun tonight?”
“Absolutely,” you respond, pulling back from his embrace and pressing a chaste kiss to his lips “was thinking about you the whole time.” you smile lazily at him.
Kissing your boyfriend is the only thing that matters in this moment. This moment. His lips. His strong body pressed against you and firm hands still on your hips, and you want all of him. You want to feel the beauty of this love with the tips of your fingers and the palms of your hands and every fiber and bone in your being.
No matter how tired to tipsy you could be, you’d always want your boyfriend. You’d always want to feel him, to feel the love he has for you. and for him to feel the love you have for him.
“Bet you were. Let’s get you ready for bed.” he says, pulling you along to the bathroom to get undressed for bed.
Coming home to your boyfriend never fails to make love blossom in your chest for him. Everything about it feels so domestic. Coming home to him to find him anticipating your arrival, as you couldn’t wait to see him either.
As you step into the bathroom, you begin to undress as Spencer gets you pajamas from your bedroom. The moment you step out of your skirt, he comes back with your comfy clothes. After stepping into your pajamas, brush your teeth, then wash your face all whilst your boyfriend has his arms on your waist and his chin on your shoulder.
Small moments like these with him make you appreciate the man you have. The man that supports you and your career no matter what you decide to do. The man who streams your music 24/7 despite the fact that he does not enjoy pop music. The man that stays with you during your extreme hangovers when you got too drunk the night before. The man that takes off days of work just because you want to stay in with him. Your dream man.
After everything, you climb into bed with your boyfriend for a not-so-long, yet peaceful night of rest.

MadWheeler ficlet! - hearing without listening
Mike perks up as the faint ringing of the phone carries up the stairs. Despite the fact that it only rarely rings for him, Mike keeps his ears strained as he waits for the sound to cut off, indicating his mom picking up the phone.
He knows they don’t have anything planned. Knows Will would have just talked to him when they were at school barely a half hour before. Still, two years of obsessing over the phone ringing is hard to simply unlearn.
He’d known then too, that Will was never on the other line. They’d called maybe eight times during all of that first year in Lenora, and most of those calls had been initiated by Mike. Will never called him - he tried not to read into it.
The second year had been better, when they’d always scheduled their calls. Even then, Mike had often been the first to jump up when the phone rang, even when he knew Will wouldn’t be on the other end.
Hope is a treacherous, addictive thing.
“Mike! Phone!”
She barely has to finish before Mike is already throwing open his bedroom door, dashing down the steps and flying through the bent of the stairs as he slides into the kitchen. His mom’s eyes watch him with a hint of amusement, but there’s an edge of sympathy when she holds out the phone and says. “It’s Max.”
Mike tries to hide his disappointment, which isn’t too hard as he’s immediately flooded with concern. A glance at the clock show it’s still late afternoon - Will must have dropped her off at home less than 20 minutes ago. He accepts the phone, watching as his mom steps away and disappears into the dining room. Once she’s gone he puts the phone to his ear. “Max? Everything okay?”
“I’m fine.” Comes Max’ immediate response, but by the tense snap of her voice he can tell she’s anything but. Never mind the fact she wouldn’t have called him if she were okay. Even now he wonders why she hadn’t just asked El to stay over, even if just to wait until Lucas gets off practice. Mike catches her taking a deep and shuddering breath, before her voice fills the speaker once more, softer this time. “I’m sorry - I just…”
She trails off, but Mike doesn’t break the silence, allowing it the linger like an invitation. Eventually, she speaks up again, attempting at casual and careless, but Mike doesn’t miss her undertone. “Gotten any better at guitar?”
Mike’s eyebrows hit his hairline in surprise. “Uh- Not really. Haven’t really practiced in a while.”
“You should.”
“I know,” Mike glances around his empty kitchen. He imagines the cabinets fading away into white-grey walls and the floor melt into dirty linoleum, imagines the kitchen island as the oversized hospital bed. “But there’s no one to insult me whenever I miss a single note.”
“How else will you learn?” Max’ voice already sounds a lot more at ease, a smile itching its way across the phone line. Mike knows what she’s asking, and though it’s a surprise, it’s not something he minds. He’d been itching for something to do, anyway, bored out of his mind cooped up in his bedroom. He doesn’t fault his friends for getting other hobbies - not anymore - but he misses middle school, misses a time where they didn’t just go their separate ways at the end of the school day. Who cares about ‘extracurriculars’ and ‘maintaining GPAs’?
“So can I come over? To practice?”
“If you must.” Max responds as if it’s not what she’d been asking this entire conversation.
“I’ll be there in twenty.”
There’s a shuddering inhale as Max gives him the okay, a sense of dread that has Mike move twice as fast as he runs upstairs to grab his guitar and pops back into the kitchen to grab some leftovers. Never say his mom didn’t raise him right.
No matter how hard he tries, there’s nothing he can do to change the length of the fifteen minute drive. Hawkins has too many stop signs and cross sections to just speed through, and at this hour even the long stretch of Cornwallis is filled with moms driving their kids to their after school activities and people getting off early from their nine-to-fives.
It’s not like he doesn’t know Max is perfectly capable of being on her own for twenty minutes. She spends most afternoons at her house waiting for her mom to get off at six. She even spends nights alone sometimes when her mom has a late shift for her second job. Mike knows she’s independent.
But he also knows that she wouldn’t have asked for his company if it isn’t a bad day. Despite their begrudging friendship, he’s still firmly the last on her speed-dial list. Well, maybe right above Dustin, but that’s because he knows Dustin can be downright unhelpful in emergencies. Steve is right when he complains about him having an attitude.
Even Will, who she’s never really been close with before, has the benefit of a,  living close by, b, being El’s brother - oh and c, not being Mike.
There’s one thing Mike knows only he can provide though.
She’s sitting on the steps leading up to her trailer as he parks his car. Her hair is down around her face, headphones thrown around her neck but not covering her ears, and she’s toying with her folded-up cane in her lap. The trailer park is quiet today, he notes as he grabs his guitar and slams the door after him, the sound echoing through the silence.
He takes a seat next to her as she turns off her Walkman, pulling his guitar into his lap. As he drums his fingers on the wood, his eyes scan Max quickly, making sure not to let her feel his gaze. She seems fine enough, like she’d looked all throughout the day, but with her sunglasses no longer perched on her face, he can tell she hasn’t been sleeping well. Worse, her eyes are slightly red in a way that definitely means she’d been crying not long ago.
But he can tell her shoulders are easing with every tap of his fingers on wood, and though he cringes when he strums his guitar, it makes a smile tug at Max’ lips.
“Great start, Elvis.”
“Thanks.” Mike deadpans. “I told you it’s been a while.”
Of course he left his tuner at home. Maybe if he actually knew how to play he could tune it by sound alone, as it is, he tries his best to twist the knobs until it sounds somewhat the way it’s supposed to. He’s by no means a musician - he can barely read sheet music, everything he’d learned about playing guitar coming from a 30 minute crash course from Eddie in Freshman year and a library book that’s most definitely written for elementary schoolers.
Still, Mike enjoys the routine - the mindless fidgeting with the strings and the repetitiveness of it. His thoughts cutting off as he simply tries to fix his stupid guitar.
“Jesus, Wheeler,” Max cringes after yet another awful attempt and fixing his D string. “Of course you’d manage to find a torture worse than Vecna’s.”
“Hey! I’m a delight to be around!” Mike whines.
“Keep telling yourself that.”
He lets the teasing linger in the air for a moment, before putting his guitar to the side and shifting to face her better. “Are you okay?”
Mike immediately regrets allowing his voice to be that soft as he watches her tense, crossing her arms in front of her chest as she leans further over her knees. “I told you - I’m fine.”
“Don’t bullshit me, Mayfield.” Her head snaps over to him, face hardening, but her posture immediately relaxes at his tone. “We haven’t done this since you were in the hospital.”
After another beat, he sighs. “It’s just me, right? Who cares what I think of you.”
Max scoffs and tilts her head back, but there’s humour to it, overshadowing some of the nerves and hesitation. “Fine. You caught me - I’m fucked up. Now what are you going to do about it?”
Mike shrugs, even though it’s obviously a useless gesture. “I can listen.”
“Look, it’s nothing new, okay?” There’s an edge of frustration to her tone, letting him know talking is the last thing she wants to do right now. “Just same old shit.”
“So just the silence?” Mike curses himself and curses his stupid guitar for being out of tune.
It had been easy enough to figure out the silence bugged her. That’s why he’d started bringing his guitar to the hospital - well that, and having just lost Eddie - allowing it to fill gaps of conversation that would otherwise have her twitching nervously in bed, asking questions to get an answer, losing part of herself just to find confirmation that someone was still in the room with her. He’s not sure the others know - Dustin was never known to allow silence to linger anyway, and El and Lucas probably had enough to talk to her about.
Mike knew talking got tired quickly. Sound is nice when it reminds you there’s people there, but he can’t imagine wanting someone jabbing in your ear the entire time either. It’s like how he can spend hours talking to Will, and never get tired of it, but only because there’s plenty of pauses in the conversation, plenty of moments to let the comfortable silence wash over you like a balm. Like how Will doesn’t even have to say anything at all to put him at ease - just his presence in the room enough to make him feel okay.
Jarring himself out of his thoughts, he mentally curses himself for staying quiet too long, worried he’d upset Max, but when he glances over he finds a smile tugging at her lips. He frowns at her in confusion, until he recognizes he’d been bouncing his leg nervously, the movement making his keys jangle in his pocket.
Huh.
He snorts, trying to cover his smile, causing her to glare at him. “What?”
“Nothing.”
“I’ll kill you.”
“I know.” Mike grins, pulling his guitar closer to him so he can mindlessly drum his fingers on the wood again. She doesn’t need to know he caught on. And even though it’s hardly confirmation that she likes his personality, it’s nice enough to know she likes having him around - even if just for the twitchiness that has his classmates glaring at him during tests.
He remembers the leftovers he’d left in the car, but figures they can get to them later. For now, they’ll continue sitting in almost silence.

⚝The Girl Next Door⚝ Vampire!Luke x Reader (Series)
Tumblr media
(Not My Gif)
Vampire!Luke x Reader (My Babysitter’s a Vampire AU)
Description: Set in Season One (After The Movie) Y/N decides to stay around for a little longer for a unknown reason to the gang. With that comes new problems, more supernaturals, and more uncoverings of the secrets that lay hidden beneath her facade, especially when a new girl enters the town.
Warnings: mentions of death, minor violence, and probably typo. Also cringy My Babysitter’s a Vampire talk. Tried to make it like the show in the way I write.
One more thing... It’s long. Because this is the first one of the series I wanted this one to be long, but the other ones will be shorter, unless it’s a thicker plot.
Enjoy!!!
“Look who decided to stay…”
Y/N freezes for a moment. His chilling voice sent her heart pounding against her ribcage. “Could say the same for you.” She turns on her heels rapidly to face him. “New found freedom and here you are in this same small town, at a school that’s quite boring if I’m being honest.”
Luke tilts this head. His eyes twitch, widening for a moment. “If it was boring there wouldn’t be witches and vampires roaming around. So, who knows what else is lurking around these corners…” He teasingly smiles at Y/N’s dumbfounded expression. “Am I wrong?”
“No…” she sighs.
“You’ve seemed to have caught quite a lot of people’s attention.” He side eyes the group of Freshmen boys gawking at her.
“It seems I have.” She doesn’t bother looking away from Luke. “Luke.” His now yellow eyes fixate on hers. “I hope our previous encounters don’t get to your head.”
“I wish I knew what you were talking about, so please enlighten me.” He crosses his arms, subconsciously leaning towards her.
“I mean… With me saving you.”
“You didn’t save me,” he argues.
A sarcastic laugh interrupts the confrontation between them. “Oh, is that right?” Sarah appears at Y/N’s side. “Because I think if she wasn’t there to rescue you, there would be a wooden stake in your chest right now.” She mimics Luke’s stance, Y/N awkwardly standing there witnessing this endeavorment.
Luke laughs, dryly. “Is that what you think? Well, I think if a pathetic girl--”
“Right here,” Y/N mumbles.
“--could take you on, I could’ve survived your weak throw.”
Sarah sucks on her two front teeth. “Come on Y/N, let’s get out of here.” She grabs ahold of Y/N’s arm tugging her away from the boy.
“Little strange that you’re buddying up with the girl who nearly killed you,” he shouts.
Weirded out glances are shot towards him.
“You just had to save him?” Sarah asks.
“What? Would you rather me save Jesse?” Y/N responds, raising an eyebrow.
“Or how about no one?”
Y/N huffs. “Think he’s going to be a problem?” She looks back at where Luke and her just were, only to find he’s disappeared.
“The biggest,” Sarah answers.
“Yeah… Me too.”
“Hey guys,” Ethan says, walking up to the pair. “What’s up?”
“Just another lovely conversation with Luke,” Sarah explains. “Would still really love a reason from Ms. Magic over here.”
Y/N puts her freehand up to mock surrender. “Don’t look at me,” she pauses. “Just doing my job,” she whispers to the point where no one else hears her. “Seen my cousin anywhere?”
Ethan shakes his head, but it goes distracted when something catches his attention. “Found him.”
They all turn to see Benny sweet talking to an unfamiliar girl. “Makes sense,” Y/N comments. “Who is that?” Her eyes narrow.
“No clue, never seen her around before,” Ethan informs.
“She’s pretty.”
They all jump, startled by Rory’s sudden appearance. “Where did you come from?” Y/N asks, harshly.
“Sorry, not as pretty as you Y/N,” Rory rushes, winking at her.
She rolls her eyes. Benny and the new girl stopping in front of them. “Guys I want you to meet Clarissa, she’s new, and she actually just moved in next door to us,” he remarks.
“Hello, Clarissa, I’m Sarah.”
“Ethan.”
“Rory.”
Y/N stares at the girl for a moment. Something didn’t fit right in Y/N’s stomach when staring into her pure green eyes. They were almost too green. “I’m Y/N.” She bounces on the balls of her feet. “Benny’s cousin,” she adds.
Clarissa grabs Y/N’s hand without warning. “I’ve heard so much about you!”
“You have?” Y/N chokes out a laugh. “All good things, I hope.” She grew heavily uncomfortable when Clarissa stared intensely at the purple gem that was snug in the center of Y/N’s ring.
Y/N pulls her hand away hastily, wiping it on her jeans. “Of course.” Clarissa’s sickly sweet smile almost gave her a headache.
“Benny,” she grits through her teeth. “Can I speak with you?”
Benny looks at her, confused. “What’s up?”
Y/N clears her throat. “Alone.”
With no verbal response she drags Benny to a corner where the rest of the group stared at the two. “What’s wrong? Is it Clarissa? Look, I know she’s coming off a little eager but--”
“That’s all you’re getting from her?” Y/N exasperates. “Don’t you see her eyes they’re pure green, I think they’re magical contacts--”
“Magical--what?!”
She gestures to where Clarissa was picking at Sarah’s hair. “And she’s wearing a headwrap-thing! And--” She aggressively points at her ring, “--she was analyzing it. I think she knows who I am, and people knowing what I am equals trouble.”
Benny stares at his cousin like he’s witnessing a crazy person. “Okay, someone’s been overworking her powers a little too much.” He grabs hold of her shoulders. “Clarissa is just a lonely new girl, who just happens to now live right next door to us. And maybe she likes jewelry, and green is good. Nice color. And… You do know there is something called culture, right?”
Y/N groans. “You’re not getting my point, I think she’s--”
The warning bell rings, cutting her off. “Gotta get to class, maybe you should go home--”
“But--”
“Get some rest.” Benny runs off, catching up with Clarissa.
“Okay, what’s got you all down?” Sarah asks, following the invisible lines Y/N’s making with her eyes, landing on Clarissa.
“Something is not--”
“I had a vision,” Ethan blurts. “When I shook Clarissa’s hand.”
“I knew it!” Y/N exclaims. “Snakes on her head, am I right?”
Ethan shudders. “H-How did you know?”
“Medusa, I can sense descendants wherever I go,” Y/N admits. “It’s my seventh sense.”
“You mean sixth sense,” Sarah corrects.
“No, I mean seventh sense.” Ethan and Sarah furrow their eyebrows. “Hard to explain. We need to warn Benny, but I think she already put her spell on him.”
“Spell?” Ethan questions. “What spell?”
The second bell rings. “Let’s talk later, during lunch!” Y/N jogs away rounding a corner.
“The thing is…”
“Ah!” Y/N screams when Clarissa slithers in front of her. “You…” She points an accusing finger at her. “Stay… Away.” Y/N makes a mental note of how her contacts were replaced with a dark pair of sunglasses.
“You have something I need. You think I want to be this way, snakes for beautiful long hair, turning people into stone. Do you know how lonely it is? I turned my best friend into stone, no way to reverse her back.” Clarissa takes a step closer to Y/N.
“Well, there is, it’s just--AH!” Y/N falls back onto the floor when Clarissa pushes her. “A little more complicated because of…” Her voice fades off.
Clarissa’s eyes didn’t dare to look away from Y/N’s ring. “Because I don’t have that.”
“So, you want my ring?” Y/N scoffs. “Well, you can’t have it. I’m not giving it to you.”
Clarissa chuckles. “Like you have a choice.”
“No, no, no, please don’t do this…. AH!” Y/N had no time to react before Clarissa’s headwrap fell, and she ripped her sunglasses off.
Grandma gasps, placing a hand on her heart. Not wasting any time she rustles off of the couch, getting to work.
RING!
“Where’s Y/N? She was supposed to tell us--”
“Tell you what?” Benny asks, cutting off Ethan. ‘
“That--Clarissa!” Ethan fakes a smile when she comes into view. “Tell us--”
“Tell us about her upcoming date,” Sarah finishes, nonchalantly.
“Date?” Luke stomps up to them. “Y/N? On a date? With who?”
“With…” Sarah’s eyes search the area. “Rory!”
The blonde boy stops, surprised. “What about me?” he asks.
“Your date with Y/N?” Ethan strains his voice, hoping Rory will be smart enough to follow along.
Rory frowns. “Date…?” Ethan and Sarah nod, pointedly. “Date! Yes! Date. Date with Y/N. I am going on a date with Y/N.” Rory stills. “Wait, I’m going on a date with Y/N?! Sweet!”
Luke’s jaw drops. “There must be a mistake,” he laughs. “She would never choose an idiot like you.”
“And who would she choose… You?” Sarah ridicules.
Luke’s eyes flash yellow. “Well, thanks for the compliment. You don’t think I’m an idiot,” he replies. “Where is she?” He changes the topic.
“I-I think I saw her go home,” Clarissa chimes in.
Ethan and Sarah both avert their eyes to the girl. “You did?” Sarah glances at Ethan who undoubtedly thinks the same thing.
“Yep!” Clarissa innocently smiles. “Why would I lie?”
“Yeah, why would she lie?” Benny, oblivious of the situation, puts on the same smile Clarissa is sporting. “She’s new.”
“Which means we know nothing about her,” Luke snarls.
“Luke’s right!” Ethan confirms.
“Is he?” Sarah’s voice goes a little higher, but on the inside she 100% agreed.
“I’m going to go check on her,” Luke announces.
“Why are you acting like you care about her?” Sarah snickers. “I’m coming with you.”
“Sarah,” Ethan hisses, grabbing her wrist. Gasping when he makes contact. “I had a vision,” he confesses, letting go of her. “It’s urgent.”
Sarah quickly glances at everyone before landing on Luke. “Just let us know if she’s there.”
“Or how about you guys check after school?” Clarissa suggests. “And then if she’s not we can all help look for her--if missing of course. You don’t really want to miss school, do you?”
Luke bursts into laughter. “You really are new.” And just like that he’s gone.
“Woah, where’d he go?” Clarissa scans the room. “What are you people? First we have witches, and wizards and now--”
“Wait, how do you know that?” Ethan interrogates.
“Guys! Chill out, I filled her in on Y/N and I being ‘magical’.” Benny does the quotations. “And how Y/N was a little freaked out by her, but it’s all good.”
“You told her what?!” Sarah feels her anger rise within her.
Luke opens the window of Y/N’s room, entering it. “Hello?” he calls out. “Y/N?”
The door swings open, exposing Grandma on the other side. “Thank God, you’re here.” She runs to grab his arm. “She doesn’t have much time.”
“What’s going on?”
She takes him to the basement where Y/N sat on the table, completely made of stone. “She appeared right here, like this, not too long ago, but long enough where we’re getting close to the effects being permanent.”
“What happened?” Luke walks up to Y/N.
“Medusa, or descendants. Has there been any odd behavior around the school? Or perhaps a new face?”
Luke perks up. “Yes, there’s a new girl. A little weird, and--”
“Tell me everything you know, and while you’re doing that, mix this up for me.” She hands him a bowl. “Hurry!”
Sarah and Ethan continue to sit where they’ve been sitting for the last ten minutes. “How are we going to fix this?” Ethan asks.
Sarah scrunches her face when she realizes Ethan was actually asking for an answer from her. “Don’t ask me, this is not my area of expertise.”
“If we don’t figure it out soon, you’ll turn to stone.”
“I’m a vampire, Ethan, I don’t think that’s even possible.”
“Well, you’re not a full vampire, maybe it’s different,” he disputes. “Look, I know what I saw, and I saw you turn to stone.”
“So, what do we do?”
Ethan stops again to think. “We… We need to use her own power against her,” he concludes. “But, we need Benny’s help.”
“Y/N said he’s under her spell, how are we going to take him out of it?” Sarah voices her concerns. “This would be so much easier if Y/N was here. Where is Luke? I knew we couldn’t trust him.”
“Forget him, we have to figure it out on our own.”
“I’m just--I’m worried. Y/N hasn’t just vanished like this before.”
Ethan chuckles. “You obviously haven’t known her for as long as I have.”
“What do you mean?”
Ethan inhales through his nose. “We were all best friends when we were kids, it was always me, Y/N, and Benny versus the world. We thought she was crazy when she spoke about her being a witch, and having magical powers. But, she was still our best friend.” He frowns. “Then she left, and never came back. We never got an explanation as to why. She was seven and we were five… And, yet, we remember those days like they were yesterday, and then of course she randomly pops up out of nowhere ten years later. Knowing all of this stuff about me, vampires, magic, it just doesn’t make any sense.”
“Well, she’s back now, you can get answers. Trust me, I’m just as curious as you for some things when it comes to her…”
“Have you guys seen Clarissa?” Benny asks. “I haven’t been able to find her.”
“What?” Ethan stands up. “She’s gone?” He looks at Sarah in alarm. “Benny, okay, I need you to understand this… Clarissa is Medusa, or descendant, or the same species..”
Benny doesn’t move at first. “Funny, but seriously can you guys help me?”
The lights flicker. “That’s not good,” Sarah thinks out loud.
“Benny we’re telling you the truth, I had a vision, and Y/N she--”
“She put you up to this. She was acting weird earlier. Where is she by the way?”
“You won’t be seeing a lot from her anymore,” Clarissa’s voice echoes through the halls.
“Is it just me… Or are we the only ones in the school right now?” Benny searches for any signs of life around them.
“That’s your question?!” Sarah hisses. “Didn’t you hear what she said about Y/N?”
“She’s probably just trying to scare us,” Ethan excuses. “We can’t make assumptions.”
“That’s what I’m trying to tell you guys, we don’t know if Clarissa is--Oh my God!” Benny makes direct contact with the lockers' reflection of Clarissa, snakes floating around her head. “Run!”
Clarissa apparates in front of them. “Don’t look her in the eyes,” Ethan advises.
“No duh, Ethan!” Benny shouts.
The locker doors slam open around them. “How is she doing this?” Sarah covers her eyes.
“I’m guessing Y/N’s ring,” Benny guesses.
“How do we stop her if we can’t see her?”
“Maybe I can help,” another voice declares.
“Y/N?!” Sarah calls out. “Where have you been?”
“I was stuck in a… Situation. But, Luke helped me.” Y/N smiles at Luke.
“Bring it, now!” Grandma orders. Luke hands it to her. “Stand back.”
“What do you need me to do?” Luke asks, taking a step away from Y/N and Grandma.
Grandma meets his concerned eyes. “Be there for her when she comes back… It won’t be pretty.” She holds up the potion pouring it all around Y/N’s body. “Here we go.” She internally prayed this would work, especially with Luke watching. She begins to mumble some words incoherently, a bright light coming from her hands.
“It’s working,” Luke blurts in relief, when the grey stone starts to break off exposing skin.
“AH!” Y/N screams when most of her upper body is free. She notices the way her hands were still stone, panic rising.
Luke doesn’t hesitate his arms around her neck, settling her head in the crook of his neck. “You’re okay, it’s okay, you’re alright,” he assures, softly into her ear. Y/N can feel her fingers break free, gripping onto his shirt. “Shhh…” He runs his fingers through her hair.
Grandma weakly smiles, slowly backing away from them, to leave them alone.
“What are you doing here?” Y/N asks when her cries settle down.
He pulls away, wiping the last fallen tears from her cheeks. “You went missing, and the rest were worried. I took it upon myself to… Find you. I also heard you were going on a date with Rory and I--”
“Wait! So, Clarissa is at the school with my friends… ALONE?!”
Y/N’s expression turns stern. “Now Clarissa, how about you do us all a favor and give me my ring back.” She moves close to Luke. “Take the rest, and hide.”
“What? No. I’m not gonna protect some losers, and that would include me touching them…”
Y/N takes a deep breath, breaking her stance to hold the bridge of her nose. “Luke, I swear to God I will go back in time and stab you in the heart myself if I have to if you don’t listen to me.” It goes silent. Yes, even Clarissa didn’t move a muscle. “Got it?”
Luke simply nods.
“Back to business now.”
“Magical contacts,” Clarissa states more than questions. “Smart.”
Y/N shrugs carelessly with a smirk. “Learn from the best.” In less than a minute it was just her and Clarissa alone in one of the many creepy hallways of the school. “Now my ring.” She holds out her hand. “It’s not going to give you what you want.”
“And how do you know exactly what I want?” Clarissa snaps.
“It’s dangerous for someone not trained to use it, I don’t want to hurt you.”
Clarissa scoffs. “How are you going to do anything without this?” She points to the ring that rightfully belongs to Y/N. “You’re nothing without it.”
Those words rang in Y/N’s mind. “That’s not true.”
“Oh, but I think it is.” With a wave of Clarissa’s hand, Y/N goes flying back. “And with this ring I’m everything.”
Y/N winces as she stands. “You’re just going to hurt yourself.”
“Not a chance.” Another lifeless throw of Clarissa’s fingers Y/N falls to the floor. “See? Can’t even dodge a simple spell. You’re useless, and pathetic. It’s a miracle you can even call yourself a witch.”
“See?” Y/N mocks Clarissa’s tone. “That’s where you’re wrong.” She stands up, strong. “I’m no witch.” She closes her eyes, the adrenaline coursing through her veins, a certain friction being felt at her fingertips. She elegantly moves as though she is a flower in the wind, building up a bundle of energy at the palm of her hands.
“I could’ve said that,” Clarissa laughs. “You know, I never thought someone like you could befriend so many vampires.” Y/N bites her lip to keep from distracting herself away from the task. “Who was that one… The one you arrived with. Seems quite special to you. With this ring, vampires will never be immune to my power, nor will any other supernatural when I learn how to get past your little spells. I will make you feel the pain I felt… Starting with that boy.”
When Y/N opens her eyes it sends a shock wave towards Clarissa. What used to be her dark brown eyes are now a violent shade of purple. “Oh… There is no spell,” Y/N’s voice comes out more deep and demonic. “This--” She gestures to herself, “--is all me.”
“Uhhh…” Clarissa stumbles back.
“Told you I’m no witch.” Y/N creeps up to her. “And I’d watch what you say very carefully.”
“It’s not poss--”
Y/N raises up her hand, Clarissa following as she leviates in the air. The lockers that were open around them began to crumple. “Oops… I meant that to be you.”
“AH!”
Sarah, Benny, Ethan, and Luke become startled by the sound of screaming. “What was that?” Sarah asks, slightly scared.
“Was that Y/N?” Benny starts to stroll towards the school. “We need to help her!”
Luke harshly grabs his shoulder. “If we’re going to go in there we’ll need these.” He presents the clear contacts to the group. “They’ll block out her magic.” Luke’s thoughts drift off to earlier.
“What do you need me to do?” Luke asks, taking a step away from Y/N and Grandma.
Grandma meets his concerned eyes. “Be there for her when she comes back… It won’t be pretty.”
“Let’s go,” Sarah says. “Luke?!”
Grandma takes his wrist before he follows Y/N out of the house. “Be there for her.”
“What?”
“Be there for her when she comes back from the fight,” Grandma guides, vaguely. “She can’t control it.”
“Control what?”
“Her emotions… Her powers… Her alter ego,” she explains. “The night she saved you, the night she almost killed Sarah, who do you think that was?”
Luke shakes the odd feeling off. Running after the rest.
“Please, help me!” Clarissa pleads.
“Who would ever help you? You’re a monster. You kill people with no remorse. What makes you more worth saving than anyone you’ve murdered?!” Y/N grabs a hold of the girl's wrist. “This belongs…” She plucks the ring off of her with magic. “To me.” Carefully sliding it down her own finger without touching it once. Y/N moves her grip to both Clarissa’s shoulders. “How about I show you the pain you caused?” Her eyes grow brighter as she clearfully shouts sinful spells at Clarissa. The snakes that make up her hair cower in fear as her body becomes more and more weak in Y/N’s hands.
“Y/N!” Ethan yelps. “What are you doing?”
“Dealing with the enemy,” she answers.
Clarissa allows the tears to fall from her eyes. “Don’t do this! I’m sorry.” Y/N ignores the girl’s cries, and wails.
“Y/N, you need to stop this.” Luke tries to get her attention.
Y/N lets out a dark chuckle. “That’s what they tell her, right? To stop this side of her, to hide, well not anymore, not while I’m around will allow her to bury me once more in her pureness,” she pauses. “They will all. Feel. My. WRATH!”
With a blinding flash of light everything went quiet.
Everyone opens their eyes to find Y/N lying limp on the ground. “Y/N!” Her friends rush to her aid, huddling around her.
“Wake up.” Luke cups her face, patting her cheek gently. “Wake up, wake up, wake up,” he repeats.
Y/N gasps, her eyes fluttering open. “Guys? Wh-What happened?”
“You don’t remember?” Ethan asks.
Y/N shakes her head. “No, I just remember Clarissa and--” She cuts herself off, looking around. “Where’s Clarissa?”
They hear a squeak behind them.
They turn their heads, Y/N lifting hers to see the damage she caused. “Oh my God!” she shrills when she sees a small snake on the floor. “What have I done?” She scrambles away from the group, going over to what she believed was Clarissa. “I have to fix this.” She picks up the snake.
“Y/N--”
“Please,” she sobs. “I’ll fix this. I promise I will.” She sets the snake down, taking a deep breath. “I can fix this,” she tells herself. Her arms lift up gracefully, as she moves them around, almost like a dance. A soft breeze brushes everyone coming around to where Y/N sat. “Mmm… Mmm…” She hums a melody. “Water, Earth… Fire, and Ice, I bring thee together to create a new light,” she sings angelically. “Water, Earth… Fire and Ice reverse what I’ve done… Take in the curse and disperse it with love. Reverse the curse and I’ll pay back for what I’ve done…” A warm light glows from Y/N’s hands illuminating the snake that transforms back into the shape of a human.
Clarissa opens her eyes, sitting up. A trail of long, golden blonde hair follows. “You did it.” She smiles. “You broke the curse.” She wraps her arms tightly around Y/N. “Thank you.”
Y/N hugs the girl back.
Hiss!
They pull away from each other. “Oh! I think you have…” Y/N points at the top of her head.
Clarissa reaches up to grab the small snake. “I guess someone had a curse to be broken too.” Her eyes meet Y/N’s. “Thank you, once again.” She giggles. “Sorry I stole your ring, and turned you to stone”
“What?!” Ethan, Benny, and Sarah exclaims.
“Old news,” Luke mutters.
“And sorry Benny about the spell I put on you.”
Benny blinks a few times. “A spell?!”
“I owe you my life,” Clarissa says.
Y/N waves it off. “You don’t owe us anything. You’re free now, so be free.”
Clarissa, and Y/N stand up. “Then I must go… Find my parents.”
Y/N’s eyes light up. “I might have something for that.” Y/N looks around, twirling her finger around to make--
“A compass?” Clarissa questions.
“This is an enchanted compass, think about what you’re trying to find and it’ll take you right to them,” Y/N explains, handing it to her.
“I was wrong about you,” Clarissa starts. “I thought the ring made you who you are, but… It turns out it’s your heart that makes you everything…” She vanishes.
“Wh-where’d she go?” Ethan looks at Y/N confused.
“To where her parents are.” Y/N smiles.
The sun shines through the windows, the bells of the school ringing as people walk out of the classrooms. “Where were you guys?” Rory asks. “You missed fifth period.”
Everyone glimpse at each other’s reactions. “Magic is seriously weird,” Sarah comments.
“You tell me,” Ethan agrees.
“I already knew,” Y/N admits.
“When will I get one of those rings?” Benny questions. “I mean… I am a warlock too, and yet why can’t I do all the cool stuff you can do?”
Y/N laughs. “I don’t know if I would call it cool, but…” She looks at Luke who hasn’t been able to look away from her since she woke up.
“Are you okay?”
Y/N is taken aback by his question. “I will be,” she answers, truthfully. “Thanks for being there for me.”
“Why are they looking at each other like that, when Y/N and I are supposed to be going out on a date?” Rory thinks out loud.
Hearing only the last part of it Y/N looks at him in alarm. “What did I hear about me going out on a date with you?” She gapes at Sarah and Ethan who appear guilty.
“Was that Erica?” Sarah dramatically points the opposite way of them. “I was wondering where that girl was… Gotta go!”
Ethan stands there awkwardly, as Sarah runs away. “Did Sarah just call for me to come with? I think she did, buh-bye!”
And so there were three. “So? When is that da--”
Rory gets cut off by Luke hissing at him. “It’s a no from her loverboy,” Luke bickers. “Leave it.”
Rory pouts, but genuinely frightened by Luke, paces away. “It’s been a long day, I think I’m gonna go home.” Y/N runs a hand through her hair. “See you later, ‘kay?” She walks off.
Benny was left confused when the direction of her words was towards Luke and not him.

Celestial Live-Reacts: STP 2.2, 'Penance'
Well I've already seen at least twenty very interesting gifs of this episode, let's fucking goooo
The red grid's everywhere?
"How 'Yesterday's Enterprise' of you." This man's been on the screen for three seconds and he's already breaking the fourth wall, I fucking adore him 😍
"You're the very board upon which this game is played." Q into roleplaying confirmed? Entities You Don't Want As Your DM include 😂
"Old, yes! How unfair time is... so many wrinkles. So many disappointments." Ah well, good to see that three decades hasn't harmed de Lancie's ability to sell the absolute shit out of a scene, my god. The bitterness is almost tangible 😭
That almost face-touch was him stopping himself because he doesn't want to actually confirm his own words and touch the wrinkles, I'm fucking done
"The chase is cut, Picard; the chase is bleeding, the chase is dying in your arms, and I am but a suture in the wound." Jesus H. Christ John, your acting sir? Honestly, you don't just come along and be a perfect foil to the brilliance that is Patrick Stewart, and this man's always managed it effortlessly ❤❤
This whole scene is so gay, I adore it to tiny pieces 😍😍
Today on 'Celestial Hazards a Guess': this situation is putting Q under considerable mental strain to amend because it's so widespread. I don't actually think it's a physical health issue? I'm going with PTSD. 🤔
... He didn't want to tell him that did he, oh dear
He's saving his fucking life and entire timeline because he loves him and Picard still won't look twice at him, I am dead my dudes 😣😭
We're in an AU fanfic boys, get hype
"You see, I thought to myself, I thought - I really must see Jean-Luc." This whole exchange is ice-cold, but this? Yeah no, this is the only honest thing here
"So I simply sought out the nearest explosion." 😂😂 Valid
"Oh I could tell you, but you're far too clever to listen." Very Tapestry...
"We're never too old to be students of our own behaviour, Jean-Luc..."
... And then he hits him? Actually fucking PHYSICALLY?! Brooo, there is DEFINITELY something wrong with this entity's psyche, as if he would ever 👀
"And I've had enough of your obstinance, your stubbornness, your insistence in changing in all ways but the one that matters!" You, erm... way to show a guy your heart there, good lords above ❤
'Penance'... a punishment laid upon oneself for their transgressions. This man has not done his homework and Mr Q is angry 😶
I'm kinda loving these clicks where nothing much seems to happen until it does - I'd say it was lazy, but I'm thinking it's indicative of the mental state now. No flashiness, all substance - his usual opposite 🤔
Mirrorverse? Are we really mirrorversing right now
"Through a mirror, darkly - and here, the man who holds the glass is darker still." I get that this is Picard's horror story, but the 'man who holds the glass' here is Q in showing him all this, and I love that dichotomy
... That's Gul Dukat? Oh shi -
Martok and Sarek? Mirror!Picard is pantomime levels of evil, damn sir
A girl needs to write a Qcard mirror fic, clearly
"This is the only life you understand"????? What
"But don't worry - I won't let you do this alone." My heart. 😍😍
"Do you wish for me to respond to the designation 'Q', sir?" Look what your nonsense has wrought Picard 😒
This really do be Tapestry 2 my dudes, fuck
This is still a James Bond intro sequence
The roses, though, murder me personally - rose-tinting, Tapestry roses, symbol of general love, and courage...
... Hang on, all of that was just the cold open? Fucking damn son, this series goes hard lmao
Picard is space Hitler now. Okey-doke 🙃
"Colombian roast, black." "... This really is the circle that Dante overlooked." 😂😂
... I mean this timeline's garbage, buuuut Picard also doesn't suddenly have a random romantic interest from nowhere, so...
'Eradication Day'. Oh fuck
Oh hello Seven, you beautiful lady you 😍😍
Is she married?
Where do I get me an electronic candle that realistic
If they had to give Seven a husband, it should have been Robert Beltrane for full and complete levels of sitcom nonsense
General Sisko, god fucking help us all 👀
Love this bloody friendship between Rios and Seven, it's so wholesome ❤
What did you do to my son's girlfriend
The matriarchal love 😍😍
"I want this one kept alive - for questioning!" "I don't know anything!" 😂 Precious child, bless him ❤
Even in the mirrorverse, Agnes is operating on -100% and I feel that spiritually
Spot-73 is an icon. He's giving me absolutely nothing and I love him 😍
... Are they about to finish exterminating the Borg? Oh, very good - I await Picard's split opinion with great interest 👀
Even the Queen thinks Agnes is too quirky, damn 🤣
'The Borg Queen has a kind of trans-temporal awareness' - ahhhhhh, intriguing
That is a spectacular villain HQ
These little interlinks to how they reconnect are wondrous
"Say what now?" Oh Raffi ❤
Ohhh, so she has 'commitment issues'? Well, that explains something in this show, for once
... It's not an AU?
'Mr Alphabet' 😂😂
"This morning, even for Q, he seemed... unstable. Not quite sane." Is that concern I detect Jean-Luc, good lord - a writer might think you care... 👁👄👁
Elnor completely missing sarcasm gives me life
"A friend, a foe, and now..." Now what exactly
Spirk mention, hurrah!
Jeri is on fire here, this Queen chemistry's glorious
Annika 'Seven Shots'? Up your game sweetie, you'd never have survived my university 😂
Noooo Elnor 😣
So many relationship issues in this show, so little build-up
YES ELNOR 😘
"Time travel is not a way to make me feel better, about anything" - me during 95% of Trek time travel storylines
I'm with Rios here, fuck connecting that to my ship
NOOO ELNOR 😭😭
"Killed whilst rescuing a Borg." I, Borg Picard would never
... Wow, guys.
Celestial Rating: 8/10.
Whatever the fuck the space husband's up to, it's hugely compelling - and this new, dystopian alternative future's beautifully realised. Even Agnes didn't irritate me this week. Very promising.

Marko’s boots stomped down the dirt steps that led into the hotel. The plastic utensils in the Coca-Cola box of Chinese takeout were heard clashing with each other when he jumped down that final ledge.
“Feeding time,” He loudly called, announcing his return with dinner. “Come and get it!” You grumbled as you sat up; you were this close to falling asleep during this small pocket of calm, but, of course, proper sleep continued to elude you. That Walkman you have been thinking about buying was starting to become all the more enticing. In your tired state, you stayed put at the far left side of the couch as Marko distributed the food with a pair of chopsticks in his mouth. Dwayne sat on the other side with Laddie sitting between you two. You put your elbow on the armrest, resting your chin on your palm.
“Tired of me already,” Paul jested, gesturing to the empty spot beside him where you usually sat during meal times. You rolled your eyes and lazily stuck your middle finger at him with the same hand that held your head. David placed himself in his shirt-covered wheelchair.
“I’m not getting up,” you flippantly grumbled, leaning in further into the armrest. Your strained eyes watered as you yawned.
“Your grace, the finest of meals,” Marko chirped. You gave Marko a sleepy amused look at his exaggerated bow and horrible attempt at a posh British accent as he handed you a carton with a pair of chopsticks. You propped yourself up and leaned comfortably against the backrest, bringing your legs up to lay on their sides. You opened the flaps, stomach tightened from hunger, mildly excited to see what he brought you. He, indeed, did know what you liked. You offered some to Star, which she declined as per usual, before you dug in, starved without the help of your usual early-evening snack.
David offered some food, a carton of rice, to Michael, which was refused at first. However, through the power of peer pressure, Michael accepted the carton and a clear, plastic fork. While you may not have approved David’s methods, you were glad to see Michael eating something. You chewed your food and swallowed it. You closed your eyes in complete bliss, finally being able to get your food intake for the night. There was a chance that Laddie may not finish all of his food, so you silently plotted to take it when he was full. It would be a pity for that delicious takeout to go to waste, after all. Plus, it would help decrease the amount of food waste amongst you.
“How are those maggots,” David asked quickly and nonchalantly, which had a very casual tone compared to the substance of his question. The boys laughed and you groaned. You leaned back against the backrest, watching, knowing the direction that this was taking. Of course, they were not going to let Michael enjoy his first meal with them without a little bit of hazing.
“What,” Michael inquired, not comprehending the bizarre statement he heard.
“Maggots, Michael. You’re eating maggots. How do they taste?” Paul had no shame in continuing to chuckle. You hid your growing smile behind your hand. Given the countless times that David had pulled this trick on you, it was strange seeing him do it to someone else.
Michael gave David an incredulous smile before looking down to come face to face with a carton of what you could assume were squirming maggots in his eyes. Almost immediately, Michael dropped the carton and spit out the rice in his mouth and the cave erupted in howling laughter. Even David was almost doubling over with how hard he was laughing. You, much to your shame, also quietly chuckled, trying to stay quiet as if you were not finding this a little entertaining. He was so unsuspecting unlike you. While you knew from the start that they were vampires—though, you did not realize their mind-based abilities at first—Michael was oblivious, so he did not catch on as quickly as you did. Well, he did not catch on at all.
Star did not find this heckling as enjoyable.
“Leave him alone,” she begged, unhappy with the boys’ treatment of Michael, not that anyone listened to what she had to say. Michael realized that the rice was not a pile of maggots, but just plain old white rice. He looked up before looking back down at the mess, really trying to process that it was just rice.
“Sorry ‘bout that,” David gave an empty apology and you rolled your eyes. “No hard feelings, huh?” Michael swallowed his pride and answered,
“No.” Wow, this guy really wants to get on David’s good side. Michael was, at least, tame enough to take it in stride, unlike you. While his initial reaction was worse than yours, at least he did not immediately yell out profanities. David stuck his chopsticks in his noodles.
“Why don’t you try some noodles?” The boys started laughing again. You waited patiently to see what trick David was pulling out of his sleeve.
“They’re worms,” Michael deadpanned and you exhaled. They had an obsession with squirmy bugs, it seemed.
“What do you mean they’re worms?” David dug through the carton, playing dumb to Michael’s concerns.
“You’re still doing this,” you uttered. You sighed, “the joke’s over, guys!” Michael tried to warn him to not eat the so-called worms, but David used the chopsticks to shove more noodles in his mouth. He chewed on them obnoxiously before grinning, content with how he got under Michael’s skin.
“They’re only noodles, Michael.” Michael snatched the carton and looked through it, only to find just noodles. He must have thought he was losing his mind! To your surprise, he did not ask any questions and took it all at face value. You were a little worried about how easily he was absorbing this.
“You’re an ass, David.” He ignored your insult, which was probably in your best interest.
“Nice worms,” Dwayne mocked amongst the snickering. You reached over Laddie and swatted Dwayne’s chest with the back of your right hand, which he hissed at, though he was not in any pain from your back-handed attack. “(Y/N) is being mean again,” he tattled on you to nobody in particular. You raised your hands, physically expressing your annoyance.
“Are you tattling on—what are you, a child?”
“That’s enough,” Star asserted, which Paul responded to with,
“Aw, chill out, girl,” While Star had not liked this from the start, you were drawing the line here. While the prank was harmless, they did not need to be ridiculing Michael this much.
And you were not a fan of Paul brushing Star off like that.
You picked a small pebble and aimed for him, landing on his neck. “Hey,” he whined, but you could not care less about it.
“You’re all a bunch of asswipes!” You complained, swallowing what you had been chewing. “I am so sorry, Michael.” Michael appreciated your apology, though he was still embarrassed and very confused by what just happened. “They did the same thing to me, you know. Made me think I was eating caterpillars instead of french fries. And then Paul ate the fries that I dropped.” You threw your head back to get more food in your mouth as Paul chuckled, still clearly proud of himself for getting that reaction out of you when he had picked up the soiled french fry and popped it in his mouth. “They still pull shit like this with me all the time.”
Your gaze had drifted to Paul, who had his hand in the carton. Your warm smile—which appeared from reminiscing—dropped and your expression morphed into a disgusted one. You knew for sure that he did not wash his hands before deciding to use one as an eating utensil. With a disappointed sigh, you pinched between your eyebrows, exasperated, and expressed,
“Are you kidding—are you eating Chinese takeout with your bare hands?” He put the carton to his mouth as if he was drinking out of a cup.
“Why am I in trouble?” He spoke with a mouth full of fried rice and gestured to Dwayne, who was sitting beside you. Dwayne, now the one being put on the spot, froze, caught red-handed with his hand in his carton, and picked up some noodles. You scrunched up your nose and furrowed your brow. How you did not notice that happening right beside you was a mystery.
“Really? I expected this from Paul—”
“This is bullying!”
“—but not you!” As if to spite you, Dwayne picked up some of his noodles and shoved it into his mouth with a cheeky smile. “Marko is using a pair of chopsticks! Marko! And he’s...” You vaguely gestured to him. “Marko!”
“What’s that supposed to mean,” Marko yapped. You pointed at him accusingly.
“You know exactly what that means.” You were alluding to how much of an instinctual person he was. You were surprised with how he did not immediately stick his hand in his food without taking off his gloves when he opened his carton. “Michael, you know what he did the first night I was here?” Michael shook his head, almost smiling at the sight of you putting them in their place. “He threw a pigeon at me. A pigeon!” Everyone, including you, laughed at the fond memory, Marko being the loudest as he caught himself by putting a hand on his knee. When David calmed down, recalling the shocked expression you had when the bird was tossed at the back of your skull, he gave you a seemingly genuine smile. Seemingly.
You intentionally tried to make him feel more comfortable with your story of the pigeon attack. There was a part of you that did not like how he was to become a vampire against his will. While you could not do anything to change that, you could at least be a friend and hold out an olive branch.
Besides Star, Michael noticed how you were showing legitimate consideration towards him while the boys were messing with him with no restraints. You, while taking part in all of this heckling, had the decency to apologize and had your limits. He was still intimidated by your presence but realized that you may not be as menacing as you may appear. In contrast to your piercing stare, your smile lit up the room and you were a fun person to be around.
Of course, he was unaware as to just how doomed to stay with this group of misfits he was. He may have to deal with this taunting for the rest of eternity.
You picked up another pebble. It hit Marko's left temple and somehow landed in his food.
“Get fucked, pigeon-thrower,” you slandered.
“Ow! Dwayne’s right, you are bein’ a bitch!”
“Oh, you’ll get over it.” You picked up a third small rock and leaned forward to get a clearer shot. You harshly threw it onto Dwayne's bare chest.
“What was that for,” he complained, mouth full of noodles.
“Talkin’ shit about me.”
“I never called you a bitch!” Okay, maybe it was fun just being a general nuisance towards them, but that was not going to be something you said out loud. To keep things even between them all, you picked up one more for David. As you aimed, he put up a finger to make you pause.
“Do you really want to do that,” he challenged. Unluckily for him, you found entertainment in doing things out of spite. However, Unluckily for you, he caught the rock with a gloved hand and threw it back at you with force. You laughed with a mild shriek as you tried to shield yourself, but it hit your left shoulder.
“Ow,” you exclaimed and rubbed the ambushed area of your arm.
“You’ll get over it,” he mocked, repeating what you had said to Marko.
“You see what I have to deal with, Michael,” you joked. Paul threw the remaining fried rice in his carton at you. “Don’t throw food, dipshit! You'll get it in the cushions!”
“It’s maggots, (Y/N),” Paul teased. You took hold of a small display pillow, one that you have been sleeping with, and threw it at Paul. Too bad you missed. Paul mockingly said,
“Try again!”
David was lost in thought before he called out to Marko and whispered something in his ear as the excitement died down, the tone of the night changing drastically as silence engulfed the cave. You could decipher what was said. Marko nodded enthusiastically, giving a quick once-over towards everyone, before leaving and coming back with an ornate wine bottle.
Star became visibly concerned, quickly making her way to Michael’s side. Her reaction was enough for you to mirror that worry. There was no way they were going to turn him tonight, right? Getting Michael drunk to make the process easier hardly seems like the best strategy, if that was what they were doing. Plus, he did not seem like a wine guy.
David, with as much flair as he could muster, popped the cork and drank from the bottle. He opened his eyes, his gaze on Michael intense. He’s dramatic; I’ll give him that. You thought.
“Drink some of this, Michael,” David pressured, offering him the bottle. He quieted and harshly whispered, “be one of us.” You could almost see the ellipses that appeared in Michael's head. You were glad you were not the only one who found the dramatic nature David was talking with anticlimactic. Michael stood from the fountain and gingerly took the bottle from David by the neck. As Dwayne and Paul began to chant Michael’s name, Laddie stood and ran away, granting you another reason to be concerned. Marko joined in. Star moved closer to Michael; you swear that she was just about ready to jump out of her skin with how skittish she was being.
“Michael,” David called, egging him on.
“Yeah, sure,” Michael responded before putting it up to his mouth and taking quite a few large gulps of it. The boys cheered with David yelling, “Bravo!” Star took a step back, shielding Laddie with her left hand. You could not understand why she was so nervous, so afraid. It was just a little bit of wine! Are they seriously trying to get him drunk? Maybe you have overestimated the boys’ planning skills.
Or, this was just a part of their initiation. They could be building up to the actual turning, but all you can do for now is speculate. Hopefully, you will remember to ask one of them about it later.
“Your turn, (Y/N).” You swiftly turned your head to face David, not expecting the spotlight to turn to you.
“Me?” Why did they want you to drink from the bottle? It was not as if you were the one who was going to start walking amongst the undead as one of them; Michael was the one who was joining the clique.
“It's like an initiation,” Paul explained. “Drink it and you're officially one of us, sugar!”
“And don’t think that you’re done, Michael,” David warned as he handed you the bottle. He made brief eye contact with you before returning to look at Michael. “(Y/N) has already gone through it all; you’ve still got to show us that you’ve got what it takes.” Michael took a glimpse at you.
“What it takes,” Michael pressed.
“To be one of us, Michael.”
“And I have what it takes,” you asked. No one denied the statement. You were not sure what specific qualities they saw in you and what they may have considered a test of your worth, but you apparently fit the bill.
“Why else would we be having such a special dinner, (Y/N),” David stated. You chortled. It was not as if they served you a five-star meal from some fancy restaurant that only takes patrons that are dressed to the nines. Well, it was in such a fancy hotel, though collapsed, so maybe you could let it slide.
“All this is for me,” you entertained his statement.
“It is if you drink from the bottle,” Marko answered, sitting on the armrest and leaning towards you, giving you a prying look with raised eyebrows. You let out a hefty chuckle before looking down at the bottle in your hand, swishing the liquid in a clockwise motion, feeling the weight of it as it moved. With it in your hand, you got a closer inspection.
Though tacky, it was a beautiful vessel. It was a clear, glass bottle that was covered in gold plating. Over that, red and white gems decorated it. The red drink inside of the bottle was a vibrant red, bright and alluring. It made sense that they would choose such a drink.
Beginning with Dwayne, the boys chanted, growing louder with each one,
“One of us! One of us! One of us!” An involuntary smile grew on your face. In a way, you guess that you were one of them and a part of their social circle. You had grown to care for them and it warmed your heart that they thought the same of you.
It was just some wine, right? In a fancy sunken hotel like this, it would make sense to find such a fancy bottle among the rubble. And it made sense that this group of vampires would have some weird initiation rituals.
You brought the bottle to your lips and took a sip; you did not drink as much as Michael did, but just enough to get a small taste. That sample was enough given how the boys cheered as you felt it go down your throat. You did a double-take, not expecting it to taste like that.
It did not taste like wine, but it was nothing like you had ever drank before. It was strong, but it was from something other than the alcohol content. It was sweet with a bit of a spicy kick to it as it went down. You made a face, still trying to decide if you liked it or not.
“What is that?” You brought the opening to your eye before taking another sip. “Wow, that does not taste like wine.” One more time, you brought the bottle to your lips before concluding that you enjoyed the flavor; they chose a good initiation drink.
You gave the bottle back to David as you licked your lips clean. You sat comfortably with a bashful smile that you tried to hide with the side of your hand. It was as if they were happier with you drinking the wine than they were with Michael drinking it with how they cheered. They clapped to a rhythm and excitedly chanted again,
“One of us! One of us!” You brought your tongue to the roof of your mouth.
"You guys are way too excited for a little bit of wine," you dismissed, a laugh escaping you as you tried to seem unmoved. Paul hopped onto the box he was sitting on and jumped off to the other side. He raised the volume on his stereo, which was playing some rock song you vaguely recognized.
"Now, we really celebrate," David instructed as Paul jogged back and pulled you up.
"You're one of us now, (Y/N)," Marko cheered as he patted you hard on the back, stepping in front of you and facing you with a wide smile, which you mirrored when you recovered. He took notice of how your eyes completely softened while you smiled at him. Your expression was so real, so sincere.
Those high walls of yours had crumbled down to mere dust, allowing them to step in with ease, which was what you were afraid of, but you could not bring yourself to care in the moment.
You felt a hand gently stroke your upper back and you turned to see Dwayne, who was grinning boyishly down at you. As they left you, you could not deny how good you felt when they chanted your name,
"(Y/N)! (Y/N)! (Y/N)!"

Second Chance at a First Date (Kris x Berdly)
(TW: unintentional Transphobia/Enbyphobia)
Kris and Berdly had been "together" for a couple weeks. Holding hands, hanging out, etc; but still haven't had a proper date.
It was Berdlys idea, a nice dinner date to make things "real." Kris agreed because Berdly said he would pay.
They both spent the week getting ready for their date. Kris picked out a nice outfit (Which was just their normal outfit but freshly washed and with a bowtie) and Berdly did some research and expanded his vocabulary of gender neutral terms... without asking Kris about any of them.
The date was a cool Sunday evening at the diner where Catti worked.
Things were going fine... until Berdly tried to show off his "enhanced vocabulary."
"I'm glad I get the opportunity to spend this evening with a beautiful gentlethem such as you" the bluebird squawked, just trying to make conversation.
"Don't call me that" mumbled Kris, through a pained expression and a mouthful of fries.
"I've got to be the luckiest bird in town to score a cute yet skilled theymer gf. Don't you agree my beloved?" Continued Berdly, not realizing his mistake(s)
"I'm NOT your GIRLfriend" growled Kris, clearly irritated.
People were starting to look.
"I'm sorry, I know it's rude to talk with my beak full, especially to a pretty theydy"
This was Kris's breaking point. They got up, and stormed out of the restaurant, flipping Berdly off on the way out.
"Where are you going?!? Kris? KRIS?!" shouted Berdly, following his partner out of the restaurant.
"AWAY FROM YOU!" yelled Kris, slamming the door behind them.
Berdly sighed and sat back down at the table. He tried asking Kris' friend Catti what went wrong
"You" was the only thing she said to him, slamming the bill onto the table.
When Kris got home, Toriel asked how it went. Only to get no answer but a slammed door as Kris collapsed onto their bed.
Kris could do nothing but cry into their pillow. Less than an hour ago they were so happy. A dinner date with their boyfriend! What could be better? But now Kris felt nothing but betrayed. Berdly was so nice for all the weeks they were together. Not disrespecting Kris' gender, not trying to ask gross questions like what was in Kris' pants, not calling them theydy or gentlethem.
Once the crying started to settle down, Toriel walked into the room; hoping to comfort her crying child.
"What's wrong Sweetie?"
Kris explained everything, how things were going well until that date, how Berdly kept calling them stupid things like "Theymer gf" and "gentlethem" and how Kris got so upset they couldn't do anything but just leave.
"I'm sure Berdly didn't mean to hurt you like this. Once you've calmed down you can talk with him about how being called these things makes you feel. In the meantime, I'll make some pie since things clearly fell apart before you two got to dessert."
"Thanks" mumbled Kris through a strained throat and tear soaked pillow.
Later that night, after the pie was baked and waiting to cool, Kris got a text. It was Berdly.
"Srry 4 earlier
Idk why youre upset but I didn't mean to hurt your feelings"
Kris didn't want to respond at first, but the way that Berdly "apologized" really rubbed them the wrong way.
"IDC WHAT YOU "MEANT" YOU MADE ME FEEL LIKE AN IDIOT IN FRONT OF EVERYBODY!!!
I THOUGHT YOU RESPECTED ME BUT THE NAMES YOU WERE CALLING ME PROVED OTHERWISE!!!1!"
Several minutes passed with Kris on read and no sign of a response. Kris wasn't sure if they wanted one or not. Then the (•••) appeared and stayed for quite a while. They knew that whatever pops up next would make or break their relationship for good.
"Let me rephrase.
I don't know or understand exactly why you're upset but I understand that the way I was treating you today upset you and I just want you to know it was an accident. I would never dream of hurting you like I did today and I want you're help so that I never make mistakes that stupid again.
*your"
Kris couldn't help but feel relieved. Berdly may be an idiot sometimes but at least he's owning up and asking for help.
"Thanks.
It's late, we will have to talk about tonight tomorrow."
Kris felt so emotionally and physically exhausted they fell asleep right then and there.
Berdly however was stressed beyond belief. He wanted to give Kris a nice surprise, only for it to backfire beyond his worst nightmares. He hardly slept.
That morning they both struggled to get out of bed, neither prepared for the type of conversation they knew were going to have.
Kris actually managed to get to school before Berdly, and decided to apologize to Catti for how awkward it must have made her shift.
"It's fine. Honestly it's the calmest breakup I've seen."
"it wasn't a breakup... I hope... And it's only Monday?"
"Sure seemed like one, and I've seen a guy get stabbed with a spoon after cheating on his girlfriend with her mom, so I KNOW breakups."
By that point Berdly had arrived. Disheveled, tired, and awkwardly looking at Kris. Because he was late they didn't have time to discuss things before class.
After class Kris waited for Berdly by the school doors so they could talk.
Kris spoke first: "I'm sorry about how I acted last night. You were just trying to be nice and I probably just overreacted. I-"
"-You didn't overreact. I wasn't being respectful and you reacted accordingly. I would have left in I was in your situation too." Berdly interrupted.
Kris sighed, "I appreciate that you were trying to give me a cute nickname or whatever, but maybe you could try and ask about me about that kind of stuff first instead of calling me that out loud and in public?"
Berdly nodded, "I really should have done that in the first place. Maybe we can give that whole dating thing another chance tomorrow? I-i-if you're comfortable with that of course"
Kris thought about it, "A second chance at a first date? Tomorrow? I don't want to go back into it so soon. Maybe in a week or two? Just to let things get back to "normal" between us?"
"Yeah. Let's settle down for a bit before trying something like that again hehe"
It took a few weeks, but eventually things went back to how they were. Kris started to feel truly comfortable around Berdly again and Berdly actually asked before giving Kris nicknames. Kris rejected most of them, but it felt much better discussing these things privately as a couple instead of in a crowded diner.
The "2nd First Date" went much smoother than the first, and so did every date after that.

Don’t you ever forget it - D.M x Weasley!Reader - (ODD ONE OUT)
Can’t believe we’re at part 5 already!! I hope everyone is enjoying this story :)
xx
part 1
part 2
part 3
part 4
“How was dark arts?” Y/N asked Draco the moment he, Pansy and Blaise sat down on one of the plush leather sofas “Fine why?” Pansy asked “Come on!” She wined “I want to know it all, you got to see a Boggart today” She grinned tugging at Draco’s sleeve in an attempt to make him talk
“You’ve got your lesson tomorrow” Blaise said with a chuckle
“Please Draco” She said looking up at him expectantly “I’ll help you with your homework for a week” She asked hoping to sway him
“You’re a year below me darling, not sure you could be much help” He laughed opening his book and shrugging off his robe and tucking it gently around Y/N
“I’ve read all the care for magical creature books already. I bet I know more than you” Y/N said shaking off his robe with a huff “Lovers tiff?” Blaise grinned
“Don’t be stupid” Draco and Y/N snapped at the same time, then bursting into a fit of laughter
“Please Draco” Y/N said leaning into his side so that she could read the page he was on without having to strain her eyes
“What do you want to know?” Draco asked turning the page once Y/N had nodded to say that she was finished with it
“What was everyone’s boggart? What did you do? Was it difficult? Was it really scary or just a little bit? How do you say the spell prop—”She began
“Okay darling, slow down a little. You’re going to give me a headache” Draco laughed, placing his bookmark in gently closing the book. “Well Pansy’s was herself but she had lost all her wealth and clothes and her name,” Draco paused for a second “Blaise’s was Voldemort, and you just hold up your wand and say the spell, no it wasn’t difficult. It wasn’t too scary and  it’s riddikulus” Draco answered his fingers finding a way into Y/N’s,
“What was your Boggart?” Y/N asked studying Draco’s face as it contorted into a small frown
“I think we should play some exploding snap?” Blaise suggested butting in
“But—” Y/N started
“Good idea” Draco said, Y/N knew the conversation was over.
Y/N played a few games with the others but then opted instead to curl up next to Draco reading his book, she flicked past the pages as they played on. Draco draped his robe back over Y/N, it had become a habit for him. Y/N knew he only did it because she constantly complained about being cold, yet she couldn’t help but wish there was another reason. Draco winced as his hand crashed down on the table jolting his other arm
“Maybe you should stop?” Y/N suggested “You look like you’re in pain” she said gently
“I’m alright” Draco insisted
“Do you have any of that stuff Madame Pomfrey gave you?” She asked
“Run out” Draco said gruffly
“Come on, it’s not curfew yet. I’ll come with you and get some more” Y/N suggested standing up, wrapping Draco’s robe around her shoulders.
“I can go alone” Draco suggested, looking down at the cozy looking girl
“No way! Who doesn’t love strolling around Hogwarts at night. Anyone would say this place is magical” She laughed heading towards the door as Draco said goodnight to his friends.
— — — —
There was barely anyone around a few older students laughing as they headed back to their dorms from the library, a few first years laughing loudly through the halls, but not many people at all.
“Can we walk the outside way? I know it’s longer but the stars are out tonight!” Y/N asked Draco excitedly
“Definitely” Draco agreed although it was only to see the way Y/N grinned up at the stars as she named all the constellations wrong, Draco had taught her a few but she swore that she knew all of them. She didn’t.
“That one looks like a fish” She laughed pointing up  at the sky
“Thats the Bootes constellation darling” Draco said
“I know that one” She exclaimed pointing up to another group of stars “That one is Draco, you showed me that” She said
“You are right about that one” Draco grinned, it was one of his favourite memories of the two of them, it had been one of Y/N’s last nights before christmas and Draco had dragged her up to the Astronomy tower and showed her all the constellations he knew.
Y/N continued walking, they settled into a silence.
“Draco” Y/N started quietly as they reached the end of the courtyard
“Yes Y/N” Draco asked, Y/N turned onto the hallway where the hospital wing was
“What was your Boggart?” She said gently, looking up to Draco with kind eyes “I know Blaise cut in because you didn’t want to tell anyone, and if you don’t want to tell me thats fine but—”
“Maybe another day darling” Draco said quietly “It isn’t something I’m proud of” he admitted
“You don’t have to be ashamed with me” Y/N assured him with a firm smile
“I know, I will tell you one day. But not just yet okay?” Draco said knocking on the hospital wing door “Okay” Y/N smiled
“Mister Malfoy? Is that arm giving you trouble?” Madame Pomfrey asked
“A little” He started
“It’s more than a little, he’s just being stupid” Y/N said giving Draco a warning look for his lie
“Understood Miss Weasley, give me a minute” She said with a chuckle
“You know you shouldn’t lie when it’s hurting you” Y/N Said firmly to Draco
“That’s why I brought you along, you always know what I need to say” Draco grinned
“Does it hurt really bad?” Y/N asked her fingers tracing the sling which had been signed by all his friends. Y/N’s name was in the middle, where Draco had requested it to be.
“I’ve had worse” Draco laughed, Y/N frowned her mouth opening then closing as if she had decided against saying anything. Draco draped his good arm over her shoulder, pulling her into a half hug. Madame Pomfrey appeared again, and placed a vial into Draco’s hand, with a curt nod she turned and Draco and Y/N were left alone again.
“We better get back, we don’t want to get caught past curfew” Y/N said gently.
— — — — — —
“Now as you all already know, today we will be meeting our Boggart’s” Lupin said with a smile, Taylor nudged her elbow, grinning with excitement. Y/N stood towards the back of the class listening intently as Lupin explained the spell and the proper wand movements. Y/N followed along with the tutorial excited to finally find out what her true Boggart really was. She had her suspicions but she wanted to know for sure. Ginny was first the Boggart twisted with a whirling sound and turned into a black diary which lay open with the gruelling face of Voldemort above it, with a shaky voice Ginny spoke the incantation as the Boggart turned into the grinning clown that Y/N recognised from their shared bedroom. Ginny’s friends clapped her on the back, and she smiled proudly as she skipped towards the back of the class. The Boggart turned into spiders, clowns, and voldemort more times than anyone dared to remember, then Y/N stood in front of the black whirling shape.
In an instant the sorting hat sat in front of Y/N.
“You really are a true Slytherin, I never thought I’d see the day a Weasley was a Slytherin. You’re parents must be so disappointed” The hat sneered
“Remember the incantation Y/N” Lupin instructed but the words fell flat inside Y/N’s head
“This is why you don’t go to any family events, they’re ashamed of you. They all hate you. You’re a true Slytherin, destined for evil”
“riddikulus” Y/N said her voice barely above a whisper
“You can do this Y/N” Lupin said gently “Once more”
“Riddikulus” Y/N said stronger this time and the hat spun and turned into the night sky filled with stars, the same one which Y/N and Draco saw last night.
“Well done” Lupin clapped as Y/N moved towards the back of the class, the Gryffindor girls giggled as she stepped towards her sister who turned her back on Y/N.
“Even her boggart knows exactly what she is” One girl snapped, Y/N picked up her books from the desks which had been pushed towards the back of the class and slipped out of the door. Professor Lupin decided against making a bigger deal of what he knew was a sensitive topic.
— — — —
Y/N hadn’t spoke to anyone, not even Draco. She sat picking at her food on the plate in front of her. Draco kept trying to pull conversation out of her but he wasn’t having any luck. Her Boggart had been the topic of conversation on all the house tables, it wasn’t often someone had to live with their worst fear everyday but of course Y/N Weasley was hardly normal.
“Y/N, do you have a minute?” Lupin asked tapping her gently on the shoulder, she nodded and followed him out of the Great Hall. The hallways were practically empty as Lupin lead Y/N down to his office, making small talk which Y/N didn’t feel the need to respond to. She wasn’t trying to be rude, she was just trying to hold her pieces together. Lupin’s office could only be described as comfy, he had two warn down armchairs which he sat himself down in, and gestured to the other one where Y/N sat tucking her legs underneath her and wrapping her arms around her knees.
“I’m sorry” Lupin said,
“What for? I don’t understand Professor” She said
“Having to live your fears every day. That takes some courage and extreme strength” He said with a warm smile, the kind of smile Y/N had seen on her mothers face when she spoke to Y/N’s siblings
“It’s fine, the Boggart got it wrong” Y/N said, she had half convinced herself it was true
“It’s okay, you don’t have to worry about playing part in here. Slytherin isn’t a bad house you know” “How can you say that?” Y/N asked
“You choose your own path, good or bad. A smelly, old hat doesn’t get to tell you whether you are evil or good,” Y/N let out a little laugh “I had a friend when I was at hogwarts, who’s entire family was in Slytherin and he was put into Gryffindor. He did everything he could to trick the teachers, his parents even his friends into thinking that the hat got it wrong, but it never worked. He was one of the greatest wizards I ever knew”
“But he was in Gryffindor, I’d rather it was that way round” She huffed “Everyone thinks I’m evil”
“Come on Y/N do you really think that of yourself? That you’re evil? That you’re destined to turn to voldemort”
“No” She said quietly,
“Then that’s all that matters.”
“How do you do it?” Y/N asked quietly
“do what?” Lupin asked blankly
“I know what you are, how do you cope with the prejudice” She said gently “I know it’s a little different with your condition and mine but how do you do it?” “You have to know exactly who you are and what you stand for” Lupin said with a smile “How did you find out?” He asked curiously
“Charlie gave me a book on werewolves when I was younger, I noticed it after the first full moon. I haven’t told anyone so don’t worry”
“You’re a very smart witch Y/N Weasley. Don’t you ever forget it”
Y/N stood up and left feeling a little bit taller than she had before.

Flash in the Eyes
(So, I like this thing y’all are doing to save Flynn from Hartman’s hands)
Danny knew very little about his Aunt Alicia.
In his memories, she was a gruff and bitter woman, tall like an obelisk, sturdy like his mother was, and unyieldingly cold like his mother wasn’t. She was calloused in the hands, and the elbow, and the heart, and carried an earthy stench like hay and rainfall that reminded Danny too much of the one time he got lost in the woods. It was her face he remembered best, because in every young memory of his, her face was cast into a scowl of disgust that she seemed to reserve solely for his company.
Danny knew very little about his aunt – except that she hated him.
He kept this almost exclusively to himself, and internalized it the way that young children do – with the paralyzing fear that his aunt knew something despicable about him that Danny did not. He had tried just once to ask his mom why Aunt Alicia hated him, and his mother had waved and laughed. ‘That’s silly!’, she’d said, and she’d said it with such wide probing eyes, such a waver in her smile, that Danny understood she too must know the Despicable Thing about him.
Danny was 8 when he’d last seen his Aunt Alicia. The years since then had left his memories to bury and rot and grow brittle, like autumn leaves long sogged under snow, then dried in the spring sun, left as spider-webbed skeletons that crumbled at the touch. By the time he was 14, these memories were little more than a wisp.
By the time he was 14, Danny had new Despicable Things about himself to learn, the kind which well-overshadowed any old and forgotten memories. He knew now that he was a Freak, and a Loser, and a Cheat, and a Menace, and the Bringer of the World’s End, were he not careful.
At 14, when Danny saw his Aunt again, he’d long since forgotten that she was a thing for him to fear.
He was only staying the night, after a convoluted stunt from Jack left him, Jazz, and his parents all but stranded at Alicia’s until daybreak would allow them to wander the roads back into town and catch a bus back to civilization.
So Danny passed the evening the best he could – seated in one of Aunt Alicia’s rocking chairs, breathing in the cool earthy late-spring air, listening to cicadas and the strain and squeak of the rocker as he pressed his toes into the porch. He fixed his eyes to the clear night sky. The stars were so much clearer out here.
To his left, Alicia occupied the other chair, fingers busied with a knife that she whittled meticulously along the splintered edges of a block of wood.
“How old are you now?”
Danny startled at the address, and found his eyes had slipped shut. When had his eyes slipped shut? He blinked them to the sky, and glanced to the left. Alicia was staring at him.
“Oh, uh. 14 now.”
“Mmm,” Alicia answered. Knife point dug deeper into wood. “…Maddie’s got that portal of hers working, I’ve heard. Is that so?”
“Yeah. Oh. Uh-huh. Yeah her and dad. Their ghost portal—probably like—four months now, maybe? I uh, I don’t really know. I don’t uh… interact with it much.”
“…Have they been inside it?”
“Uh, no? I don’t think so.”
“Do they plan to?”
“Maybe. Uh. Probably. The specter speeder – it’s like this RV… space ship… thing… for going in the ghost zone. It’s something they built. So yeah uh, I guess, they probably do.”
Alicia lapsed silent. Her hands had stilled.
“Have you been inside?”
Danny tipped a little too far back in the rocking chair, and he felt it bottom out behind him. He wasn’t sure if the bottoming-out in his stomach was the chair, or the question – not that it mattered – since Danny responded only with a yelp and a pinwheeling of his arms. He was saved only by Alicia’s quick reflex, springing up and seizing the arm of the chair with her left hand – whittled bit of wood dropped to the porch.
“Thanks,” Danny breathed. And he looked up at his aunt.
And he remembered with an icy rush every single reason his 8 year old self had to be terrified.
Face cast deep into shadow from the porch lights behind her, Alicia’s bright green eyes watched him. Pinning, thin and probing, aggressively predatory in a way that reminded Danny all too much of ghost beasts. Her lip was curled up, exposing a few missing teeth, set upon that scowl that flashed through a dozen memories racing back to his mind. It was an expression that seemed intimately aware of every Despicable Thing there was to Danny. And with the tiniest flicker of his eyes, Danny focused on the whittling knife in her hand. Brandished.
Panic doused him, lit his every nerve on fire, and Danny fumbled for escape. He crashed down to the porch with a yelp, and his head cracked hard on the wood. Danny hissed, hand pressed to his head, and looked back up.
Alicia had backed off, surprise overtaking her hardened features. None of that flash of malice showed. The light fell normally on her, painting a slight gauntness to her face, but the arched brows, the parted mouth, and the startled eyes contained not a hint of danger. She glanced to the whittling knife in her hand, and dropped it on the porch, and raised both her hands palm-up.
“S-sorry! I startled you, huh? Just trying to catch the—” Alicia lost her voice. She was staring back into Danny’s eyes, and confusion evolved into something caught between horror and revulsion.
Danny blinked, and realized his world was tinged in green. His fight-or-flight had activated, his body was pulsing with adrenaline and ectoplasm, and he felt it all too late in the shimmer of his eyes, doused green. The scary eyes. He blinked it away. The damage was done.
When the Fentons packed their things and left the next morning, very few words were exchanged between Danny and Alicia.
The Fentons set out to follow the single dirt road back to the center of town. Danny looked back, and watched Alicia grow small in the distance, her and the house both, left alone, sealed back into the nothing-ness and the no one-ness. Danny found himself shivering at the memory of the previous night, and wondering even why Alicia had chosen to join him on the porch in the first place.
Maddie and Jack chatted about idle nothings. Jazz had occupied herself in pocket-sized book she’d managed to stow along on the trip. Danny only stared forward, and said nothing, and walked.
Danny knew very little about his Aunt Alicia – except that she hated him.
Danny knew very little, except that now, she feared him too.
Danny sat on the memory, reshaping it, wondering how he must have looked from the other side. What did his glowing green eyes look like to those he pinned with his gaze? What did she know now? What did she suspect? What reason did she have to look so afraid?
The last question sat uneasily with him. Danny carried himself forward on legs all but numb, and wondered whether he was something worth being feared after all.

I’M NOT AFRAID
Tumblr media
“Sorry to ruin date night.” Penelope teases as you and Hotch walk into the conference room. You’re wearing a dress that is far too short to be work appropriate, attempting to hide it under your long coat and scowling at Penelope.
Morgan whistles and you roll your eyes, but Aaron only smirks as he settles into the seat next to you, resting a hand on your thigh under the table. It was nice to finally be able to be like this at work. You and Aaron had and would always continue to be professional at work, but since the team had found out, you didn’t have to hide the subtle touches or loaded glances.
“Good evening crime fighters, I’m so sorry to ruin your night, but we have some criminals afoot.” Images of women’s bodies illuminate the screen behind her. Immediately you notice small burns that decorate each of their bodies, consistent with the use of a taser. “You will be heading to North Bend, Washington where the bodies were found abandoned in alleyways behind dumpsters. In all cases, the bodies were discovered by homeless men.”
“What was the cause of death?” You ask.
Penelope sighs, “It looks like the person who did this tortured them for hours, submerged in salt water for long periods of time and tased at close range over and over, until,” She clicks the remote and pictures of the victims’ heads come across the screen.
“He tased them in the head?” Morgan asks.
“That would be correct, chocolate thunder. The ME reports that the girls all suffered incredible brain damage until their brains just… shut down.”
“The discarding of the bodies suggests he doesn’t have any remorse and he’s clearly sadistic since he tortures them for so long.” Prentiss says.
“Garcia, was there evidence of sexual assault?” Aaron asks.
“ME says since they were submerged in water for so long it’s impossible to tell.”
“Forensic countermeasure?” Reid muses.
“It’s possible.” Aaron says.
“Oh, and there’s one last thing.” A picture of another girl fills the screen, “Another girl was taken a few hours ago, her name is Tiffany Cole. Judging by how long he’s held the other girls--”
“We have less than 48 hours to find her.” Aaron finishes, “Let’s get going then, wheels up in thirty.”
You follow Aaron to his office, closing the door behind you, sighing as you lean against it, “We’re never gonna have a night to ourselves, are we?”
He brushes his thumb along your cheek, “I’m sorry, I’ll make it up to you when we get back.”
You smile and lean into his touch, “Shame this dress has to go to waste.”
“Can I at least take it off you?” He murmurs.
You raise your eyebrows, “Sure, my love, but don’t forget to close the shades.” You nod your head to the windows of his office.
You pull out your go bag while he closes the shades, pulling out some comfier, more professional clothing. He comes up behind you and wraps his arms around your waist and you lean back into him. Gently kissing your shoulders, he pulls down the zipper in the back revealing your bare back.
He groans into your skin, “I can’t believe we have a case.”
You hum and turn in his arms, placing your hands on his chest as the dress falls off you, “Well we better work quickly then so you can make it up to me.” You smirk and lightly push off from his chest, turning away from him to put on your work clothes.
Faster than you thought possible, Aaron immediately shifts back into unit chief, barely looking at you as he swipes through the case file on his tablet. Once dressed, you peer over his shoulder, “What’s bothering you?”
He shakes his head and stands, grabbing his go bag and handing you yours, “I don’t know yet.” He says and walks past you, leaving you to follow.
***
“There doesn’t seem to be any evidence of gagging or even tape over the mouth to keep the girls quiet,” Reid observes from the jet, “No trace glue on the mouth or fabric found inside. ME even reports that some of their vocal chords seemed strained, most likely from hours of screaming.”
“Which means he must have some remote place to keep them where nobody can hear them.” Rossi adds.
Aaron is quiet the entire time besides assigning the team tasks for when you land, “Aaron, what’s the matter?” You say softly, gently squeezing his leg.
He slowly shakes his head, “Something about this case… I feel like I’ve seen it before, but I can’t… I can’t remember.”
You frown, “We could ask Garcia--?”
“No.” He interjects immediately and then looks at you apologetically for cutting you off, “No, not yet. I don’t want anyone wasting their time when I’m not even sure myself.”
You nod, “Okay.”
The rest of the day went by as usual, Aaron asked you and JJ to go talk to the families. By the time you got back to the police station, the sun was beginning to set and the team had hit dead end after dead end. Frustrated, Hotch ended up dismissing the team for the night to come back with fresh eyes tomorrow.
In the hotel room the two of you shared, you kneeled on the bed behind Aaron who was still looking over case files and placed your hands on his shoulders, gently kneading them with your fingers, “Come to bed.” You said softly and kissed him just below his ear.
He shakes his head, “There’s a girl out there who might already be dead because of my incompetence.”
You frown and sit back on your legs, “That’s weird, I didn’t know you were working this case by yourself.”
He sighs, “I know I’ve seen this before.”
“Even if you had, it’s probably a copycat, it’s not the same guy.”
“But we don’t know that.” He says, exasperated, “I can’t even remember if we caught him, I can’t remember anything.”
“Okay, that’s it, we’re calling Garcia first thing in the morning.”
“Y/N--”
“We don’t have any other leads, it’s not a waste of time. Now come to bed, please. You’re no use to anyone when you’re tired, you just get more grumpy than usual.”
He finally offers you a small smile, “Are you saying that I’m normally grumpy?”
You smile in victory as you lay back into the pillows and Aaron crawls over you, “Your baseline grumpiness at work is pretty high, yes.” You mimic his frown and deepen your voice, “You always look like this, no matter who you’re speaking to or the scenario.”
He laughs and flattens his body against yours, head resting on your chest and you run your fingers through his hair, “We’ll find him, Aaron. I promise.”
He doesn’t respond, but you both quickly fall asleep like that, unaware of what horrors the next day would bring.
***
“Good morning sunshine, what can I do for you this early?” Penelope answers your phone call with a yawn.
“Hey, Garcia, sorry to call so early. Would it be possible to pull up a list of all the cases Hotch worked before he was unit chief and see if any of them are similar to this case? Maybe the victimology or the MO?”
“Might take a while, our favorite unit chief has been fighting crime for a very long time, but I’ll get back to you if I find anything.”
“Thanks Penelope.”
“Ciao bella!”
“Garcia’s looking.” You said as you hung up the phone, Aaron just finishing tying his tie. You stood and reached out to straighten it. “Try not to think about it, you work best when you’re calm and detached.”
He frowns, “Detached?”
You smile and go up on your tip toes to give him a kiss, “Yes, when you check your ego at the door.”
He cradles your face in his hands and gives you another kiss, “Okay, no more kisses until the end of the day, you’re too distracting.” And he turns away from you, walking out the door before he can even see the way you’re pouting. “Come on, let’s go. We’re running out of time.”
You nod and head after him.
***
“Garcia, you’re on speaker.” You say, pushing your phone into the middle of the conference table. The rest of the team had been brainstorming the last couple hours, but had gotten nothing. No evidence of anyone buying a taser recently, at least not locally. There was little that connected the victims, just that they were all young white women.
“You guys, I… I really hate when this happens, but it seems that the unsub is trying to contact me.”
“What do you mean?” Hotch asks.
“I mean,” You can hear her typing quickly on her keyboard and suddenly there’s another video feed on the screen, “He obviously wants to show us something.”
“Can you trace this?” Reid asks.
“No,” She sighs, “His IP address keeps changing automatically every thirty seconds.”
“Agent Hotchner,” A distorted voice comes from behind the camera. In front of it there’s a tank of water and a girl frantically trying to swim with her hands and legs tied. “Have you figured it out yet?” The voice continues as he walks in front of the camera, never allowing the camera to see his face. You look closer at the girl, Tiffany, and see she has the consistent taser burns all over her body. “I’m tired of waiting.” He walks over to the girl, pulling her up out of the water as she screams before putting the taser next to her temple and pulling the trigger. She spasms for close to a minute before he drops her back in the water, her now lifeless body floating to the top. “I thought you were smarter than this.” The voice says before the feed cuts out.
Everyone is silent for a moment, “The hell was that about?” Prentiss finally interjects, looking to Hotch.
“Garcia, do you have that list for me I asked for this morning?” You say, swallowing away the bile that rises in your throat from witnessing Tiffany’s murder.
“Yes.” Garcia’s normally bubbly voice is quiet and subdued, “Yes, I do. The closest thing I could find was a series of murders back in the 90s. A bunch of women were tortured for hours in a salt water tank before their throats were finally slit and they were dumped behind various dumpsters in town. ME reports showed significant brain damage from repeated lack of oxygen. A Mister Garret Hughes was arrested for the murder, tried, and put to death… Oh boy, three weeks ago, right before our first victim popped up.”
You look at Aaron, “Does that sound familiar now?”
He nods slowly, “It was one of my first cases as lead profiler.”
“Well it sounds like Hughes’ death was the trigger.” Morgan says, “Hotch, maybe he blames you for Hughes’ death.”
“Judging from the body type on camera, it has to be a male, maybe a friend? Brother?” JJ muses.
“Or a son…” Aaron says, “Garcia, did Hughes have any children?”
“Uhhh, yes sir, he has a son named Cameron Hughes who was about seven at the time of the murders and is now twenty five.”
“What do we know about him?” You ask.
“Well, after his father was arrested, Cameron was put into foster care, his mom had left his dad years ago and seemed to drop off the map which sounds a lot to me like she was afraid of Garret.”
“Rightfully so.” JJ murmurs.
“Yeah. After that, Cameron bounced from home to home, reports of abuse from nearly every one until he turned 18. He got a job as a prison guard not long after and he’s been there ever since. And that explains how he was able to get a taser.”
“Any run-ins with the law?” You ask.
“Yeah, several when he was a kid, but after he turned eighteen and got his prison job he was squeaky clean.”
“What were the arrests for, Garcia?”
“Well, we have some petty theft, some fires set and… Oh, no.”
“What is it?”
“His last arrest when he was sixteen was for torturing and killing a neighbor’s dog… via drowning.”
“Do we have an address, Garcia?”
“Already sent to your phones.”
Everyone starts grabbing things and running to the SUVs. “This can’t be where they’re holding them,” Spencer says as you all pile in and Aaron starts the car, “It’s too residential and it doesn’t match the geographical profile.”
“Well, let’s hope that we can bring him in or we find something in his house that tells us where he is holding them.” You say.
***
When you arrived, Aaron directed you, Morgan and JJ to the back. Aaron and Reid took the front while Emily and Rossi went around the side.
You were behind both Morgan and JJ, your guns raised when you spotted a shed behind the house. “You guys go in, I’ll check the shed out back.” You say. They both nod their heads and then head inside. You hear the distant sound of your team calling “Clear!” As you head to the shed, and you admit it, you let your guard down.
When you open the shed door, it’s dark and with your flashlight on, you turn to the right first, leaving your back exposed for Cameron to hit you over the head with a hammer. There’s no time to scream or fight back. A big guy, he picks you up and tosses you over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes and heads out a back door, into the woods where his truck is waiting for him to load you into.
***
At first, no one notices that you’re missing. To be truthful, JJ and Morgan had forgotten about the shed out back. But then Aaron looks up and around the house. There’s JJ and Morgan, carefully sorting through mail on the kitchen table. “Morgan, where’s Y/L/N?
There’s a moment of silence when it dawns on all of them what may have happened and suddenly everyone’s guns are drawn and Morgan is sprinting to the shed, JJ and Aaron on his heels. When they walk into the shed, they see your badge and gun on the ground along with little dots of blood. And then the start of an engine. Aaron wastes no time running out the back door and starts shooting at the truck, but he’s already too far down the wooded path.
He has you. He has you and Aaron is stuck here, useless, because there are no other leads. “Why was she out here by herself?” Hotch’s voice is deadly calm.
“I… she was behind us and then she said she was going to clear the shed and we just thought…” JJ trails off, “We thought she could handle it.”
It’s not their fault, he tries to remind himself. But the rage is boiling just beneath his skin. “Hotch, we’ll find her.” Reid says when he storms past, back into the house, “Something here will give him away.”
“There wasn’t a license plate on that truck.” Morgan says as they all follow Hotch back inside.
“What’s going on?” Rossi frowns as the rest of the team comes back in the house, “Was he out there?”
“He has Y/N.” Is all Hotch says before he starts ripping the house apart, trying to find some clue of where he would take you. He slams doors and curses to himself throughout and the rest of the team helps him look without a word.
“JJ?” Reid murmurs when he notices she’s crying as she looks through the house.
“I shouldn’t have let her go out there alone.” She says, her voice thick with tears, “It’s like when I left you alone all over again.”
“You know as well as I do she made that choice to go by herself. She wouldn’t want you blaming yourself.” JJ just shakes her head, “If we want to find her we need you to focus now. This unsub is arrogant, he won’t be expecting us to find him.”
They continue searching, seeing if Garcia can find any evidence of abandoned buildings nearby, but nothing. Until Cameron reached out to Garcia himself, again.
Garcia’s panicked voice fills Cameron’s home, “Guys, he’s here again and I can see Y/N.”
Emily quickly opens a laptop and the stream fills the screen. Aaron fills with temporary relief at seeing you sitting on the floor in front of the camera. “No blindfold or gag, just like the other victims, only her wrists and ankles are tied.” Emily observes.
“If he didn’t blindfold her at all, she might be able to tell us where she is.” Reid says, and everyone knows he’s thinking of the coded message he gave this same team years ago when he was taken.
You sit there and stare at the camera silently. You don’t appear to be injured or hurt in any way, besides the blood that drips from your temple. You most likely have a concussion from the blunt trauma. “You know, Agent Hotchner,” Cameron no longer bothers to disguise his voice, “I debated for a while who to take from this team to hurt you the most. I researched you for years while my father rotted in jail. It’s a shame Foyet got to pretty miss Haley before I had the chance. I thought about taking Jack, but I draw the line at children. Feels wrong somehow, even to a psychopath like me.”
He starts touching you and the chair beneath Hotch’s fingers creaks as he clenches his fists. You don’t show him any fear, no tears, you don’t even flinch away from his touch. “So I focused on the team, tried to see who you had the strongest relationship with. Who would hurt the most? Dr. Spencer Reid, boy genius who you treat like a son? Agent Morgan, the little brother you wished Sean had turned out to be? What about Agent Prentiss? She was so damn pretty and smart I thought you had to have been sleeping with her. But then,” He pulls your hair so hard, your head snaps back and you grunt. The closest thing to a reaction you’d given him so far, “I saw that you shared a hotel room with this one more than once when working cases together. I’ll give you props Hotchner,” He chuckles and lets out a whistle, “I didn’t even consider her because I thought she was so far out of your league. Nice work.” He produces a taser and pulls the trigger while pressing it to your ribcage and you convulse until he pulls his hand away.
“Oh, boy. This one’s going to be fun, aren’t you?”
“I have a name.” You grind out.
Cameron responds by ripping off your shirt and producing scissors to cut off your pants, “Yes, Y/N. I know your name. Time for a swim, I think.”
What Cameron doesn’t see as he undresses you is the way you close your eyes and take several deep breaths to calm yourself. Panicking leads to faster drownings. He picks you up and tosses you in his makeshift tank. Your body becomes perfectly still, everyone on the team looking at their screens in horror until you break the surface, taking in another breath.
“Garcia, do you have anything?” Aaron does his best to keep the impatience out of his voice, but you scream for the first time when Cameron holds the taser to your side for more than a few seconds and it shatters him.
“Sir, I’m trying everything, I can’t hack him. I’m so sorry.” She sniffles.
“Reid, give me something.” Hotch practically begs, but Reid looks back at him hopelessly and you’re screaming again.
“Oh, God.” JJ says, tears streaming down her cheeks.
Hotch kicks over his chair as you finally break and begin crying and then you’re under water again.
“We’re missing something, we have to be.” Rossi says.
Cameron pulls you up out of the water by your hair, “Are you listening, Agent Hotchner?” He screams as you cough the water out of your lungs, “Beg him to help you, baby, go on.”
You take some shuddering breaths and then you look at the camera, “Aaron,” You say breathlessly and Hotch feels like all the air has gotten sucked out of his lungs, “It’s beautiful here and I’m not afraid.” Cameron shoves you back under and tases you while you struggle.
“What the hell does that mean?” Morgan demands, looking at Hotch who’s staring at the laptop in awe.
“Garcia, how far is Mount Si from here?”
“Not far at all sir, maybe a couple of miles if that.”
“Are there any remote cabins or caves there that wouldn’t have come up on your initial search of Cameron?”
“Um, it’s possible that there is land there that is owned by a relative that wouldn’t have come up in his background, let me check and…” She sighs, “Yeah, there’s a small cabin right off of a hiking trail that looks like it used to belong to Cameron’s mother. She never sold it so it’s sat there empty since she left town.”
“Let’s go.” Hotch says, practically running out the door before anyone can follow, “Garcia, keep the audio of the stream on while we drive.”
“You got it, go get her, please.”
“How did you know?” Prentiss asks when they’re in the car.
“Y/N is afraid of heights. We went hiking once, early on, and I convinced her to climb a mountain with me. When she got to the top I asked her how she was feeling and she looked at me with this big smile on her face and said ‘It’s beautiful up here.’ And then she looked over the edge and I held her from behind and I asked her if she was scared and she said ‘No, I’m not afraid.’” Your screams ring out in the car and Hotch presses his foot down harder on the gas. They were almost there, you just needed to hold on a little longer.
“We’re gonna get her, Hotch.” Rossi says reassuringly from the back as your sobs ring through the car.
“Garcia, how does she look?” Hotch asks. He was just down the road now.
“As you would expect, sir.” She says quietly, “If you’re asking if I think he’s going to kill her anytime soon, no I don’t. He is having far too much fun with her. Please get that creepy man in cuffs.”
Aaron throws the car in park and everyone jumps out, pulling out their guns as they run in. “FBI, Cameron, drop the weapon.”
You’re dripping wet and shaking and out of the tank, barely able to stand. But you smile at Aaron as Cameron holds a knife to your abdomen. You thought when you had given him that hint that you’d be leading him to your body, you never expected to see him alive again. But here he was, your Aaron, prepared to rip the world apart to get you back alive.
“Thanks for the suggestion, Agent Hotchner, but it’d be so much more fun to see the look on your face when I do this--” Aaron fires the shot and it lands in Cameron’s forehead, killing him instantly, but not before he thrust the knife into your stomach.
“We need a medic, federal agent down.” He says quickly into his watch before running to your side.
Your eyes dart back and forth as he kneels next to you and warm blood starts pooling on your stomach. “Aaron?” You manage.
“It’s okay, I’m here, I’m here, it’s gonna be okay.”
“You remembered.” You say softly, your eyes losing focus, “You found me.”
“Of course I remembered,” Hotch says, tears filling his eyes, “You gotta stay with me, Y/N. Stay awake, okay?”
“I’m so… tired.”
“I know, I know, but you have to keep your eyes open. Please.” He shouts over his shoulder, “Where’s my medic?!”
“I’m glad I… got to see you again, Aaron.”
“Don’t talk like that.” He’s crying now as you’re bleeding out in his arms. He can vaguely hear Morgan yell again for a medic.
Hotch’s memories get all scrambled up after that. He remembers you passing out in his arms, thinking you were gone as the medics forcefully remove you from him. The way the team tried to take him with them as you rode to the hospital, but he insisted on going with you.
He remembers that it was touch and go for a while in the ambulance. That they had to have Derek pull him away from you when they wheeled you into trauma. His arms were covered in blood and he shoved Morgan off him.
“Hotch, relax.”
He eventually sat down in a waiting room seat, legs bouncing, “She was talking to me like she was about to die.”
“She’s not gonna be out of there anytime soon, why don’t you go wash the blood off your arms.” JJ says.
“Yeah.” He says and stands, “Yeah, right.”
When he’s gone down the hall the rest of the team look at each other, “I haven’t seen him like this since Haley.” Emily says.
“She’s gonna be okay, right?” Spencer’s voice is soft.
JJ puts an arm around him as Morgan’s phone rings, “Please tell me she’s okay.” Comes Penelope’s panicked voice on speaker.
“She’s in emergency surgery right now, we don’t know much.”
“And how’s Hotch?”
Morgan sighs, “She practically bled out in his arms, Garcia. He’s not good.”
She sighs, “I hate being across the country, call me when you hear something.”
Hotch walks back over, still looking dazed, but at least not covered in blood. They waited like that in silence for hours until the doctor came back over and Hotch stands immediately.
“We were able to stop the internal bleeding and stabilize her,” The doctor starts, “She’s in the recovery room now and should be waking up soon. She’ll have to stay in the hospital for at least a week to be monitored.”
The relief hits everyone in the room tenfold. Hotch feels like his legs might give out and there’s a collective sigh of relief from the rest of the team.
“Could we airlift her to DC?” Aaron asks. He doesn’t want you here by yourself.
“I’d like to at least monitor her overnight, but yes, that can be arranged.”
“Can we see her?” Spencer said from behind Aaron.
“Of course, follow me.”
Your eyes are still closed when they all file in, the doctor quietly exiting as they all crowd around your bed. Aaron is crying when your eyes begin to flutter open, a lazy smile forming on your face, “What happened?” You say slowly, your voice raspy.
“You just got out of surgery, you’re gonna be okay.” Aaron says.
“We were so worried about you.” Spencer’s voice cracks as he steps forward and gives you a hug.
“Oof.” You grimace a bit at the sudden weight, but manage to hug him back. “I’m fine, promise.”
The team all give you hugs and put Garcia on speaker so she can hear you alive and well before leaving Aaron alone with you. “Why are you crying, my love?” You ask, reaching out a hand to him.
He takes a deep, shuddering breath, “I thought you died in my arms.”
You shake your head, “But I didn’t.”
“I can still hear your screams from when he was torturing you. I didn’t do enough to protect you.”
You flinch a bit at the mention of the torture, but recover quickly, “Aaron, our jobs come with a certain amount of risk. You know that. You can’t always protect me.”
“I know, I know, I just…” He wipes his tears with the heel of his hand, “He took you because of me.”
You shake your head, “He just got lucky that I went off by myself. He would’ve taken anyone who walked in by themselves. He wasn’t as diligent or organized as Foyet. I’m sure he did stalk us, but he had no solid plan to target me specifically.” He looks down at his hands sniffling, “Aaron, even if he did take me because of our relationship, I don’t care.”
“How can you say that?”
“Our relationship is also what saved me, don’t you realize that?”
“You would’ve found another way to tip us off--”
“The whole time I was there, I just kept thinking about you. I’m not like Reid or Prentiss, I can’t think like that under pressure. I was only able to think of that because I was thinking of you, of us the whole time.” He still can’t look at you and you can see tears still falling to the floor.
“Aaron, look at me.” You say gently and he complies. You beckon him over to the bed until he sits on the edge and you can touch his face, “I love you.” It’s the first time either of you have said it. You were so nervous to before, but nearly dying without telling him had scared you badly.
He manages a smile, “I love you too.”
You smile back at him and reach up to cup the back of his neck, pulling his face down to meet yours. His kiss is gentle, as if he’s afraid of breaking you and then he rests his head just beneath your chin.
“They said you have to stay in the hospital for at least a few days.” You immediately groan and begin to protest, but he shushes you, “I’m going to arrange for you to be airlifted to DC tomorrow morning and I’ll stay with you until then. The rest of the team is flying home tonight.” You’re pouting at having to stay in the hospital and he cant help but laugh at you a bit, “Hey, it won’t be so bad. I’ll bring you all your favorite books and takeout and I’ll bring Jack, too when I can.”
“Will you bring me coffee in the morning before you go to work? Hospital coffee is terrible.”
He smiles, “Yes and I’ll even bring you a chocolate croissant from that bakery you love.”
You finally crack a smile, “You spoil me, Hotchner.”
He kisses your forehead, “I’ll probably spend the rest of my life making this up to you.”
You smirk, “Hey, at least now we can both say a serial killer almost stabbed us to death. We even have matching scars.”
Despite himself, Aaron laughs, “You’re ridiculous.”
You giggle, “Yes, ridiculously in love with you, Aaron Hotchner.”

The Sound of Silence - The Maze Runner Newt Imagine
Request from @ausblack: was wondering if you could write a newt x reader where she’s like the new greenie and the only girl. Everyone think she’s mute because she never talked and Newt decides to take care of her since he’s the only one she seems comfortable with. One day another glader attacks her making her scream and for some reason Newt recognizes that it’s her, he gets protective and helps her out. Eventually she speaks her first words to him and they both get together in the end
Masterlist
Warning: Some mature language
Author’s Note: Sorry I haven’t posted in...a while. If it helps, you can think of me as a turtle. I’m damn slow and it’s pretty frustrating to wait but I’ll get there in the end! I hope I did this idea some justice because I thought it was pretty cool. Thank you for the request, I’m always open! (just remember the turtle analogy.)
:)
Word Count: 3.6k
You stood in darkness. There was nothing in the darkness except for a quiet hum that rumbled the floor and the walls and the ceiling. It was power, some type of power that was running through this room and making it rise.
You stood in darkness. And you waited.
You weren’t alone, because your fear was so strong it had formed an icy hand, which wrapped around your throat, so tight it was hard to breathe. It took every ounce of your concentration to inhale, and exhale, and inhale again, and all the while the box hummed and rose, and you stood in darkness.
The hum cut off abruptly, the room halting with it. You strained your ears, and, through the loud beating of your heart, you could hear voices. Four heartbeats passed before the roof opened and the room was flooded with light.
You cringed away, raising a hand to block the brightness. Through squinted eyes, you saw boys encircling the room, level with where the roof would have been. Their voices floated down, gasps and shouts of “It’s a girl!”, and the sounds of shoving, bodies against bodies.
You took a step back, but there were boys above you there too. They were everywhere. One jumped down, making the whole box shake, and then you were turning around and around, looking for a break in the boys, a spot you could run through, someone to help, anything, anything, anything--
“It’s alright, love. We’re not going to hurt you.”
You whipped around to face the boy. He had his hands raised, and his eyebrows were knit together in sympathy. He had a kind face, with soft brown eyes.
Even so, any words you had were caught in your throat, caught by fear’s hand, trapped. Trapped, just like you. Your breaths came faster, your heartbeat quicker. Your hands trembled.
Across from you, the boy took a step back and looked up at the others. “Right, all you bloody slintheads need to back up!” He looked at one of the boys closest to the box. “Alby?”
The boy, Alby, nodded, then shouted, “Everyone, back to work!”
The crowd didn’t move. Your heart stopped. Your blood went cold.
Then, with a chorus of grumblings, the mob slowly dispersed. Boys peeled off this way and that, revealing grassy fields and large mountains in the distance. You peered closer. No, not mountains.
Walls.
“It’s a strange story, love, but we’ll tell you all of it,” the first boy said.
You couldn’t take your eyes off of the walls.
“I’m Newt. D’you remember your name?”
No. You’d realized in the darkness that you couldn’t remember anything. You felt strangely detached, like you were watching some other girl with no memories who was abducted and brought to a strange place. You felt pity for her. You felt sad for her. And you kept drifting along, only half-listening to the boy next to her, the one who said his name was Newt.
Newt stepped closer. You watched the girl watch him, watched his mouth move, watched the girl take light, careful steps to the edge of the box and climb out. You watched her stumble.
It was the feeling of Newt’s hand on your back, steadying you, that brought you back to reality.
“I’ll take you on the tour, love,” he said to you, pulling his hand back. In a soft voice, he added, “Don’t worry. You’re safe here.”
Your lips parted. Words sat on the tip of your tongue. Are you sure and How do you know and Please be right. And, also, lingering in the back, Thank you.
You swallowed and looked away from Newt.
He started walking. He kept a slow pace, both because of his limp and so he could intermittently point out buildings and people. “That’s Frypan, he’s the cook, and there’s the kitchen. Next to that’s the Homestead. You’ll be sleeping there.”
He spoke with such authority that you wanted to ask what his role in this little society was. If there was a cook, there must be a leader, and you hadn’t seen any adults around. But your tongue wouldn’t move, so all you could do was tilt your head to the side and look at Newt.
He scanned your face, then nodded. “I’m Second-in-Command. Alby’s in charge, but he won’t raise a fuss about you sleeping in the Homestead. We…” Newt ran a hand through his dirty blond hair before making eye contact again. “We haven’t…” He sighed. “You’re the only girl here. We don’t really know how the rest of those shanks will react.” Noticing your instinctive recoil, Newt hastened to say, “But you’ll be okay. Most of these lot are good guys. And the ones that aren’t...Well, they know the consequences. We won’t let anything bad happen to you.”
There was that fear again, running its hands along your arms, past your shoulders, to your neck. It squeezed painfully around your throat, so painfully that tears threatened to spring up in your eyes. You gave Newt a quick nod and looked away, into the fields he was leading you toward.
He read you like a book and quickly switched topics. “These are the Gardens. When I don’t have other duties, I like to come out here. It’s good work, but it’s also just a good place to be. It’s peaceful.”
A short, round boy darted out of a row of tomato plants, cackling madly. Lumbering behind him was a tall boy with a shock of curly blond hair, who shouted, “Come back here, Chuck!” The younger boy, Chuck, gave no indication that he’d heard. He disappeared back into the plants, with the tall boy following him.
Newt sighed. “It’s mostly bloody peaceful,” he grumbled.
The smallest of smiles twitched your lips up. You forced them back down, reminding yourself that you were scared, that you couldn’t trust anyone here, and that the way Newt grinned down at you did not make you feel safe.
“We’ll have you start working here tomorrow, all right, love?” Newt asked.
You chewed on your lip, staring over the plants. Your eyes landed on the tomatoes, right where the boisterous duo had gone through. Flutters of anxiety filled your stomach.
“I’ll be with you. There won’t be anything to worry about.”
You raised an eyebrow.
“Besides waking up with no memory, that is,” Newt added.
Your lips betrayed you again. Newt grinned, and the butterflies that had been flying inside your chest slowly started to settle down.
Newt led you through the rest of the Glade. You saw the Deadheads and the Blood House, learned about the various jobs and Keepers, and, through it all, you didn’t say a single word. Newt never pushed you. Instead, he watched for facial expressions. He responded to any tap on the arm or flick of your chin. He lingered in the comfortable silences.
As you sat in your room in the Homestead that night, knowing that Newt was asleep in the next room over, you felt your shoulders loosen, just a little. The fear was still there. It still held your throat tightly in its grasp. But you felt a trickle of hope springing in the cracks.
You woke the next morning to a knock on your door. Opening it, you saw Newt.
“Ready to get to work, love?”
You nodded. The smile you gave him was uneasy and weak, nervous and gone in a flash, but it made Newt’s eyes shine with happiness. He smiled the whole way to the Gardens. Under the shining sun, you weeded plants, hoed new rows, and picked vegetables.
Newt stuck by your side. He explained more about the Glade; all you had to do was point to a person or a place and he’d run through it, even if he’d already explained the other day. A few times, you found yourself picking out things you already knew, just so you could keep hearing his voice.
“And then Chuck convinced Minho and Thomas,” Newt said between laughs. Behind him, the sun sat heavy on the horizon, haloing him in gold. “He convinced Minho and Thomas to take the rest of Gally’s clothes and--” Newt broke off, devolving into laughter.
You hadn’t met Minho and Thomas yet -- they’d been busy in the Maze all day yesterday and in the Runner’s Hut all last night -- but you’d heard a lot about them from Newt by now. You’d also heard about “Captain” Gally, and you figured he probably deserved whatever ended up happening to his clothes.
Beneath the cover of Newt’s voice, you felt comfortable letting out a small laugh. It was the first noise you’d made in the Glade.
Slowly, Newt’s laughter stopped. He stared at you, eyes soft, his lips pulled up in a small, pleased smile. He didn’t say anything.
You looked down at the basket in your hands, trying to stop yourself from blushing.
After a second, Newt said, “Before we go to dinner, there’s one last place I want to show you.” He took the basket from you and handed it off to Zart, the Keeper of the Gardens.
The pair of you headed off towards the far wall, away from the buggy Gardens, the dark woods, and the noisy kitchen, where a hungry horde of Gladers clamored to get their dinner.
“It’s not one of the really important places,” Newt said as you walked, “so I didn’t show it to you yesterday.” His hands swung awkwardly at his sides, as though he wanted to reach one out, maybe to guide you, maybe to hold you, but couldn’t decide whether he should or not. You couldn’t decide whether you wanted him to or not.
All you did was nod.
Newt continued, “But I think, maybe, it could be good.”
As you neared the wall, you felt your stomach drop at the sheer size. You craned your head back and back and back, trying to see the top, trying to see if any ivy led all the way up. How could there ever be a way out of those walls?
A warm hand touched your arm.
Your head shot back down, eyes landing on Newt’s. The faintest pink burned on his cheeks, a glow from the sunset, maybe, or... You shook the thought out of your mind as he pointed to the wall.
Carved into the wall in front of you were names. Immediately, your gaze landed on Newt’s. Next to his, Alby’s name was done in blocky letters. Thomas and Minho had made their marks. Chuck’s name was squeezed between the two, as he often was in real life, when he’d inject himself into their days. You recognized enough names to figure out that every Glader had been here once and had left a permanent memento of themselves. Some of those mementos, like the ones with a single sharp line running through them, had already outlasted their creators.
“I thought, I don’t know...I thought maybe seeing other names would help you remember yours.” Newt rubbed the back of his neck, looking down at the ground.
Your heart felt warm in your chest. Yearning took over. You reached a hand out, tracing the closest names, looping through the letters, dotting the i’s, crossing the t’s. You wanted to remember.
Please remember. Remember for Newt. Remember for me.
You pulled your hand away and pointed to Newt’s side, where his knife was strapped. He unsheathed it out without a moment’s hesitation. When he handed it to you, his fingers brushed over yours and you could swear your heart stopped. You had to fight to keep your composure, especially with the feeling of his intense stare as he watched you carve the first letter of your name into the wall.
You felt, rather than saw, Newt step closer to you. Glancing at him out of the corner of your eye, his smile almost took the breath out of you. Your hand stilled as you finished the first letter.
Newt repeated it, sounding almost awed. “Keep going, love.”
Forcing your eyes away from him, you continued carving. Each letter of your name was done with precision, right below Newt’s. It felt fitting to do it there, like he was some guardian angel looking over you, keeping you safe. Being around him made you feel...the English language wasn’t sophisticated enough to describe it. You felt warm. And calm. And the kind of happiness that made your cheeks hurt and your jaw ache, even when you weren’t smiling.
When you finished, Newt said your name, his voice reverent. “Y/N.” He repeated it. He glanced down at you. “Am I saying it right, love?”
He’d gotten closer than you’d thought. His breath nearly hit the tips of your eyelashes. If you moved only a few inches you’d be touching him.
You nodded.
“Can I ask you something?”
You nodded again. He was so close you felt dizzy. You would’ve agreed to just about anything he said at that point.
“Are you able to speak?”
Your nod was more hesitant this time, slowed by dread for his next question.
“Why don’t you?”
You wanted to look away but his eyes had a hypnotic hold on you. You shrugged half-heartedly. How could you explain that every time you tried to speak your throat closed up? That your mouth went dry and you forgot every word you knew? That your heart started beating erratically, and your palms began to sweat, and it felt like walls were closing in, and you felt the fear again?
Newt nodded. He took a step back, the tension in the air dissolving. Jutting his chin at the wall, he said your name again. A smile crept onto his face. It was that soft, sweet smile that had gotten you through your first days in the Glade.
It got you through the next week, too. A week spent trying other jobs, where your lack of communication proved rage-inducing for a certain captain and ultimately landed you back in the Gardens.
It was rare that Newt wasn’t by your side. Today, though, he and Alby were caught up in meetings with the other Keepers, trying to figure out how to discipline a Glader who’d been making inappropriate comments and trying to instigate fights.
Newt had told you the basics the other day. You hadn’t wanted him to go into detail. He’d seen that on your face and quickly switched to telling you about the first crops they’d tried to plant, which had been such a disaster that the Creators sent up multiple books on farming the next month. The conversation was much lighter from then on.
Being with Newt was so easy. Most of the others pushed you too hard to talk, which only made your throat dry up and your tongue feel like lead. You wanted to talk with them, sometimes, but...you couldn’t get the words out. You couldn’t think of them when it came time to speak. You had a mental block, barricades set up to keep you from feeling too comfortable here. Part of you needed to feel the fear that came with trying to speak. If you stopped being afraid, you’d start getting complacent.
The sound of the Walls grating to a close struck the same feeling in you, even though you were safe in the Gardens, well away from the terrors of the Maze.
“Y/N.” Zart’s voice broke you out of your thoughts. “Good job today. Some of the other shanks left a bunch of tools out, could you bring them to the shed? I have to track down Chuck.” His normally placid expression morphed into a scowl as he shook his head, his blond mop of hair flopping over his forehead.
You nodded. The two of you split off among the rows, Zart’s cursing fading as you approached a scattering of trowels and rakes.
You pursed your lips in disappointment before stooping down and trying to gather everything. You ended up with two rakes and a hoe tucked under your right arm, a few trowels held close to your chest, and a sharp hand pruner held carefully in your left hand.
Boys.
You huffed as you headed for the shed. It was a crudely constructed building that was made in the first few weeks of the Glade’s existence. You’d heard some other boys say that the first Gladers originally slept here, but Newt hadn’t mentioned it so you weren’t sure how true that was. If they had slept there, you didn’t envy them. It was smaller than your room in the Homestead, which was a far cry from large. You supposed it was in a nice enough location, though; it stood on the edge of the Gardens, close enough to the woods to catch some shade, but not so deep that you were alone.
As you neared the shed, you saw that you actually weren’t alone. A figure paced next to it, head bent low, features hard to make out.
You purposely tried to walk louder as you came closer, hoping you wouldn’t scare him. At the sound of a twig crunching under your foot, his head shot up.
You’d definitely seen him before; he had thick, dark eyebrows and a strong jaw. The bruise forming under one of his eyes was new, as was his now crooked nose. You were pretty sure his name was Connor.
“Y/N,” he said, stilling in his tracks. He made no move to help you carry the tools.
You nodded, gave him a tight smile, and headed for the door. One of the rakes almost slipped from under your arm, but you squeezed it tightly and took a few hurried steps.
Connor crossed in front of you. You veered to the side. His arm shot out and grabbed your shoulder, hard enough to jostle it and send the rakes and hoe tumbling to the ground.
“You think you’re better than me or something?” He was speaking quickly, too quickly, you didn’t have a chance to respond or adjust the trowels that were slipping through your grasp or push him away. In one quick movement, he turned and slammed you into the shed wall. Two trowels dropped. You clutched the rest closer, your breaths turning into nervous pants.
“Is that why you don’t talk? You think you’re better than me? Than us?” Conor loomed over you. He glowered at you, his eyes afire with rage. “Answer me.” He slammed you back again. Your head cracked into the wall and you let out a soft whimper.
“So you can talk.” His grip was vice-like on your shoulders. His nails dug into your flesh like he wanted to tear you apart. “So why don’t you talk? Why don’t you fucking talk?” Again, he slammed you into the wall.
Were you crying? Were you talking? Were you making any noise at all?
Were you even breathing?
“You make this place even harder to be in. We don’t need some fucking mysterious mute bitch when we have to solve the Maze. Don’t you get it? You’re a distraction!” Every few words were punctuated with a slam. The air whooshed out of your lungs in a pathetic cry for help.
You’d never tried harder to talk.
But now there was so much fear in you. Not existential fear -- real, in-your-face danger.
One of Connor’s hands released your shoulder. It ached in relief until his fingers wrapped around your throat and he leaned in close to say, “Fine. Don’t talk.” And he squeezed.
Each second was an eon. Your lungs screamed for air. Blackness lingered on the edges of your vision, closing in, closing in, closing in, leaving only a pinprick of light. Your legs went numb, as if they’d just fallen asleep, and the feeling worked its way up your body, down your arms, to your hands, where the last trowel and the hand pruner were about to fall.
Hand pruner.
You had no more air, you had no more energy, and yet your body was moving and you were thrusting the sharp end of the hand pruner into Connor’s gut.
He let you go with a cry, curling over and holding his stomach. Air rushed into your lungs, only to leave a second later as you screamed, “Help!”
Connor groaned and straightened up enough to launch a clumsy fist at you. You twisted to the side. Your foot caught on a gardening tool, sending you sprawling to the ground, clambering away on hands and knees, still gasping for air.
A wet hand grabbed your ankle. You kicked, connecting with something solid, and yelled out, “Someone help!” The hand left your ankle for a second, then you heard something heavy moving in the grass, and the hand clamped down on your calf.
You tried to wriggle away. People were coming from the Gardens, you could see their black silhouettes as the sun set behind them. You heard your name, shouted by your rescuers and growled by Connor. You kicked at him again. His other hand caught your foot, using you to pull his body further onto your legs.
He was heavy. He slammed a fist into your back, knocking you flat.
“Get off of her!” Your rescuers closed in. They wrenched Connor off and surrounded him. Warm hands, soft hands, gentle hands, helped you stand. Connor’s blood rolled down the backs of your legs.
“Are you okay?” Newt asked, his voice frantic. He held you, his touch like feathers on your arms, as he scanned your body up and down, looking for any injuries. “Is that--” he started to ask, staring at your legs. Mid-sentence, Newt turned away, calling for a Med-jack.
“It’s not mine,” you interrupted him. The words were hoarse and quiet but audible, and Newt whipped back around to face you, eyebrows raised in surprise.
His touch slid down your arms, his hands enveloping your own. “I knew that was you yelling,” he said. His eyebrows lowered and his face grew serious. “I knew it was your voice. I knew it was you, love.”
Words hung on the tip of your tongue. Words you’d meant to say your first day in the Glade. Words you’d wanted to say every day since. Words that you could never get out. “Thank you,” you finally said.
Newt smiled, so wide and so bright that your heart started beating like you were sprinting. “I’ll always be here for you, love.”
The distance between the two of you was quickly fading. “I know you will,” you said, and then, again, “Thank you.” A second later, your lips met. And you felt like thanking him all over again.

Jake is careful to open up the door of the bodega, which is all bordered up with tape as the shattered glass has yet to be replaced. The inside looks better at least, no longer sectioned off with police tape, and business seems to be going on as usual, with customers in between the aisles and some at the counter. Jake resists the urge to grab a snack for himself, and he glances around the room, frowning as he realises there’s no sight of you.
Jake finally approaches a young man manning the cash register. “Hey man, is y/n in?”
He shakes his head. “Sorry dude, they don’t work Tuesdays.”
Jake smacks the side of his head, remembering how you mentioned it to him. He moves to exit the store when he notices the live security footage playing on the screen behind the counter. Pointing it out, Jake says, “Hey, looks like you got your cameras working again.”
The man looks over his shoulder, before turning back to Jake with furrowed eyebrows. “What?”
Jake frowns slightly, his hand falling to his side. “y/n told me that your cameras were down last week.”
The man remains confused, staring at Jake as if he’s speaking another language. Slowly, he finally responds, “Nah, they’ve been working fine. I don’t know what y/n’s talking about.”
Something inside of Jake’s stomach twists, and he frowns. Despite how hard he’s been trying to defend you, he can’t help but admit to himself that you’re not making it easy. He digs through his pockets, pulling out an old receipt, and he grins to himself as he flips it over and finds your number on the other side. Pulling out his phone, he cringes slightly at his 6% battery level, and he hopes he has enough to make a call.
Dialling in your number, he raises the phone to his ear. It rings a few times before someone finally picks up the phone. Taking in a deep breath, Jake says, “y/n? It’s Jake, the detective from last week. We… we need to talk.”
Jake paces around the briefing room, shaking his head as he tries to piece everything together. After coming back to the precinct following his failed attempt to find you at the bodega, Jake had filled up a corkboard with pictures and other small pieces of evidence he and Rosa were able to gather, although it was looking rather sparse. Your lie about the security cameras definitely presents as an obstacle, but he tries not to think the worst of it. He hasn’t told Rosa yet, who had gone out to meet with the forensics team again, fearing what her reaction would be towards you. Maybe you were mistaken, maybe the robbers managed to figure out a way to wipe the footage. But something about the situation doesn’t sit right with Jake, and he lets out a defeated sigh.
“Hey, Jake,” Amy peeks her head inside, knocking at the door, and Jake looks up. She gestures back to the bullpen as she continues, “You’ve got someone here to see you. Sounds like they’ve got some information on the bodega robberies.”
Jake perks up, rushing past Amy out of the room. His eyes widen as he sees you linger by his desk, nervously glancing around the room. He nods as a thank you to Amy before making his way over to you, and he greets, “Hey, y/n, thanks for coming in. How have you been doing?”
You meet Jake’s gaze, and you can’t help but soften at his tone. He seems to genuinely care, and you can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of guilt. Nodding, you reassure him, “I’m okay. I’m… I’m glad you reached out, actually. There are some things that I need to tell you about. Can we go for a walk?”
Jake hesitates. He knows that he should probably bring you to the interrogation room instead, but he finds himself nodding. He grabs his leather jacket hanging on the back of his chair, and he nods towards the elevator as he remarks, “Sure. Let’s go.”
You and Jake make your way through the streets of Brooklyn, finding yourself at a nearby local park. You can’t help but smile at the sight of children running around, squealing at one another as they chase each other in some sort of game, but you can’t ignore the pit in your stomach, the gnawing guilt that has plagued you ever since your first interaction with Jake.
You finally happen upon an empty bench in a quiet corner of the park and you silently take a seat. Jake sits beside you, and your breath begins to tremble. Jake patiently waits for you, eyes wide with concern as he finds himself shifting closer to you, subconsciously wanting to comfort you despite not knowing what’s to come.
“I… I haven’t told you everything that I know about the bodega.” you finally confess, and Jake takes in a deep breath. He nods slowly, silently urging you to continue, and you look up to meet his gaze as you continue, “I know who did it. And the other robberies, too.”
Jake stares at you, and you can tell it’s clearly a lot of information to take in. He presses his lips together, trying to process all this, before he quietly asks, “You’re trying to protect someone, aren’t you?”
Your expression crumples, and your shoulders slump as you bury your face in your hands. You swore to yourself you wouldn’t cry, but as the overwhelming reality of the situation begins to sink in, you’re suddenly finding it hard to breathe. Jake’s expression falls, and despite knowing that the two of you are practically strangers, he wraps an arm around you, gently rubbing his hand up and down your arm as he tries to soothe you.
“It feels like I’ve been trying to protect him all my life, but I- I feel like I can’t, anymore.” you manage to say through sobs, and Jake frowns, eyebrows furrowing in concern. Gulping, you finally reveal, “My brother.”
Jake sucks in a sharp breath. He’s all too familiar himself with broken homes, with strained familial relationships. You’re almost afraid to look at him, but Jake’s expression is one of understanding, of sympathy. He gently reassures you, “Take all the time you need, alright?”
You nod, trying to compose yourself the best you can. You fold your hands into your lap, perhaps a poor attempt at stopping them from shaking, and you manage to hold your tears back long enough for you to begin explaining, “It was always just me and my brother, you know? My single mom had to raise us, but we barely saw her because she was always working. But my brother and I always had each other’s backs, and I thought it would be that way forever.”
You’re distracted as a pair of kids dart past you, and Jake notices the bittersweet smile that appears on your face as you watch them. Quietly, he prompts, “When did you feel like things started to go wrong?”
“I mean, my brother was always a rowdy kid, always getting into trouble, but it just kept getting worse and worse. I’d try to bail him out, but there was only so much I could do.” you continue. “As we got older, I started seeing him less and less. He’d show up whenever he needed help, but that was it. Until he showed up the night before the bodega robbery.”
“He came to see you?” Jake’s eyes widen in alarm, and you nod. You can feel a pit forming in the bottom of your stomach as you think back to that night, and you uneasily run your hands through your hair.
“I didn’t know he had robbed those other bodegas. But he came around asking for me to let him and his friend in, basically. Asked me for the key. I told him no, that I could just lend him money, and he… he got angry.” your voice shakes slightly as you stare off at some point in the distance. “We’ve had our fights, obviously, but this was different. I was almost scared of him.”
You screw your eyes shut as you remember seeing the smashed in front door, the fear swallowing you whole as you worried what might happen next. Jake doesn’t try to prompt you further, knowing how difficult this must be for you, and he lets out a soft sigh as he wishes that you didn’t have to go through such a thing.
“I don’t want him to go to jail. I just want him to be okay.” you can feel your words getting caught in your throat as you struggle to continue speaking. “But he doesn’t even feel like my brother anymore. That night was just… I- I don’t know what to do anymore.”
“What about the cameras?” Jake quietly asks.
“That was me.” you sigh, nervously wringing your hands together. “I couldn’t sleep that night, so eventually, I… I just got up and went to see if he had really done it. Part of me still had hope that maybe he didn’t. When I saw the door broken in it just… crushed me. I almost feel like he did it on purpose, to scare me. But I still wanted to protect him, so I… I went in to delete the security footage, and rushed out before anyone could see me.”
Jake leans back onto the bench. This is it, he realises. With your revelations, it seems as though the case is solved. But seeing the heartbreak on your face doesn’t make the solved case as satisfying as it usually is.
“I just feel like I’ve failed him.” your shoulders slump, your voice barely audible. “He’s my family I have, and I just… I just wish it didn’t have to be like this.”
“Hey, you didn’t fail him, y/n,” Jake gently insists, and to your surprise, he reaches out to take your hand, giving it a squeeze. “You’ve been an awesome sibling, better than he deserves, really. But he chose to do this, and that’s not on you.”
You nod, trying your best to believe him, and from the earnest expression on Jake’s face, you feel like you could. You manage to muster up a smile, and Jake smiles back at you. Nodding back in the direction of the precinct, Jake tells you, “I do need you to need you to come back to the precinct to make a statement. But you’ve really helped us, y/n, and you did the right thing.”
A part of you has doubts, but you try your best to take comfort in Jake’s words. Jake gets to his feet, and you stand up with him, and Jake offers you a small smile that reassures you that everything will be okay.
You bump the cash machine closed with your elbow as you count out some change. Sliding it over to the customer alongside their bag of snacks, you politely smile at them before they step aside to leave. You wave the next customer in line forward, only to realise it’s Jake standing before you, and your eyes widen as he offers you a sheepish grin. He steps up to the counter, placing down a bag of chips and a bottle of orange soda, and you exchange a knowing smile as you lean forward, “Hey, Jake. Did… did everything go alright?”
“We got him and his buddy.” Jake confirms, and you let out a breath you didn’t realise you were holding. “They tried to give us the slip, but I chased after them.”
You narrow your eyes slightly, and Jake quickly corrects himself, “Okay, Rosa chased after them, but that doesn’t matter.”
You laugh, and Jake snorts with you before continuing, “There’ll be a trial, obviously. I’ll give you more updates when I hear them.”
You nod, before sliding Jake’s stuff back to him. You don’t even bother ringing his purchase up as you tell him, “It’s on the house.”
“What? No.” Jake hurriedly searches through his pockets for some change. “You don’t have to do that.”
“It’s the least I can do.” you insist. Jake offers you some cash, but you shake your head. “Seriously, Jake, thank you, for everything.”
You reach out, closing Jake’s hand, and your gaze lingers on one another as your hand remains on his. He smiles, and Jake feels like his heart might beat out of his chest as you smile back at him. Before he can stop himself, he blurts, “Do you want to get dinner with me sometime?”
You blink at him in surprise, and Jake winces as he worries he might’ve blown it. Stammering, he continues, “It’s, uh, my way of saying thank you. For helping us solve the case. And for the snacks.”
Jake watches as a smile spreads across your face, and you chew on your lip as if trying to contain your happiness. “Is this a date?”
Jake grins at you. “It can be.”
“Just tell me when and where.” you nod excitedly, and Jake beams at you. “I’d love to go out with you, Jake.”
“Sounds like a plan.” Jake claps his hands together. He scoops up his snacks, backing away as he continues, “Hey, I’ve got to run back to the precinct, but I’ll text you, okay?”
“Got it.” you nod, grinning from ear to ear. You can’t help but chuckle as you watch Jake clumsily try to open the door, but he stops himself.
“Oh! By the way,” Jake spins around on his heel. “Do you guys sell batteries?”
“Um,” you glance over your shoulder at the inventory behind you. “We’ve got some. What kind do you need?”
“It’s for a clock.” Jake sighs, and you raise an eyebrow at his reaction. “It’s… a long story.”

My Ghost, My Son
After taking literally forever to write this, it’s done!!  A few people have asked me to tag them when I finished it so here @horrendoushag @narwhalsarefalling @amabsis @imdeadtiredtm
This is posted to AO3 and FFN! I’ll post the first part here under a readmore but please follow the links to read the full thing! Thank you
One
Maddie thought he looked so familiar.
She hunted ghosts for a living, her inventions paying for her work - her and her husband Jack’s work - and she made a point of keeping her town safe. Jack was never the best at it, but that was okay. For you to love someone, they don’t have to be good at anything except loving you back. Loving meant working together, to her. And so they worked together. They were the Fentons, after all.
There’d been this ghost that they’d been hunting - Jack called him the “Ghost Kid” - just a young boy, with white hair and a black jumpsuit. When he got angry, his eyes flashed green, and you knew you were in for trouble. He’d caused so much damage and distress over fights he’d pick with other, always larger ghosts. Maddie and Jack had both assessed it as just petty ghost squabbles. The kid was very argumentative. Jack wanted to study the ghost, take it apart. Maddie wasn’t sure exactly why. She meant to ask, but didn’t want to know.
The thing about ghosts is that no matter how much time passes, they don’t age the same way that humans do. Most of the ghosts they’d come across that appeared to be children had crossed over decades ago, sometimes longer. And they were stronger for it. Any ghost was a threat. Too many times, they’d let their guard down around a child ghost, and came away sorry.
But in this moment, Maddie questioned their assessment of the Ghost Boy for the first time. Maddie had responded to a ghost fight - the ecto-signatures were off the charts, the little screens beeping nonstop. A ghost that called himself Plasmius had started a battle with the Ghost Boy, or maybe it was the other way around. They were yelling at each other in front of the Nasty Burger restaurant, throwing punches and mostly just arguing, with more than a little showing off. Maddie got out of the car, watching the battle, waiting for a moment to act. It seemed like a fistfight now, but at any moment it could escalate... And just like that, almost on cue, Plasmius shot an ecto-blast at the Ghost Boy - and missed. The shot continued on, hitting the Fenton family car, and bouncing off, heading right towards Maddie.
In a split second, Maddie heard the Ghost Boy yell “NO!!” and suddenly, there he was, in front of her. She watched the blast head towards him. She watched him throw his hands into the air, trying to cover as much as possible. His head was twisted towards her to make sure she was alright as he fell, and a realization struck her. His face up close was so familiar...
The Ghost Boy hit the ground, groaning. “Plasmius, you idiot!” shouted the kid, voice strained by pain and anger. He was curled up - it was safe to bet he was hit somewhere in the stomach. Shocked, Maddie stood there, unsure of what to do. If this were a normal human kid, she’d know how to act - she was properly certified in the appropriate emergency procedures. But she’d never thought to help an injured ghost before.
She looked up to the sky, to see what the ghost Plasmius was doing. But she couldn’t see him anywhere. “What a jerk,” she mumbled. Shooting and running.
“Coward, more like it,” groaned the Ghost Boy. He coughed. “Hope you’re okay.” She nodded, searching for words. Before she could say anything, he said, “Bye,” and with that, he phased into the ground, disappearing.
Maddie stood there, wondering how to process this. It all happened so fast. She got in the car, ready to head back to the house. Jack was still at home. They’d already started making dinner and it couldn’t go unsupervised, so he’d stayed behind. She wondered if she should even tell him what happened.
Maddie walked through her front door, opening directly into the living room. Against the far wall was the couch, which her son Danny was lying on, holding his stomach. He was facing the wall, back to Maddie. In the kitchen, she heard Jack and their daughter Jazz laughing about something.
Maddie went and knelt next to the couch, trying to examine Danny. “What’s wrong?” she asked.
“Got hit in the stomach,” he said, strained.
“You got into another fight at school? How many times-”
“I wasn’t fighting any kids!” interrupted Danny, rolling over to face Maddie. His face was full of anger, with a sharp glint in his eyes. They reminded Maddie of someone…
Danny sighed. “It was a stupid move, but I jumped in front of someone else that was going to get hurt.” Maddie was surprised - her son was angry, everyone knew that, and he got into fights often. But she’d never heard of him breaking one up before. “I couldn’t stand to see… someone else get hurt,” he said. He rolled back over.
“Well… I suppose that’s okay, then.” She leaned forward and kissed the back of his head. “Don’t tell your father.” She got up to get him an ice pack.
After dinner she and Jack were cleaning up, alone in the kitchen. Lost in thought, she scrubbed a plate in the sink, for a little too long. “He reminds me of Danny…” she said, quietly. The anger, the short fuse - but actions that show a good heart, deep inside. She looked up at Jack, who hadn't heard her.
Maddie thought of the ice pack she’d given her son. She thought about the ghost who'd helped her that night, and how he would most likely be alone in recovering. Why would he risk himself like that for her? After all, she'd spent months already hunting the ghost. Why would he protect her after fighting for so long? She wondered if he was playing some kind of game.
She realized the risk must have been huge, for him. She'd only ever seen him alone, fighting someone or some ghost. Never with anyone else.
“Do you think he has parents?” she asked. Jack looked up from packaging leftovers. “The ghost boy, I mean.”
Jack spoke without thinking, screwing a lid onto some Tupperware. “No, he's a ghost, of course not.” But as Maddie continued to scrub, he pondered the question a little longer. Maddie wondered what he was thinking - of course his initial reaction was no, he'd been hunting this ghost alongside her. But after a moment of pause… “I guess I’ve never really thought about a question like that before,” he said. “Maybe… but he's a ghost that wrecks havoc, Maddie! Why would that even matter?”
“I don't know,” she said. “I guess… sometimes, there's moments when he reminds me of Danny. The way his eyes get so angry. But there's kindness, too…” she trailed off. “Does he have parents to go home to when he's hurt? Is there anyone caring for him, at all?” She kept imagining that ghost, alone, floating around the Ghost Zone… healing from his fights on his own.
Jack put down the Tupperware. “What happened at the ghost fight tonight? You said it was routine,” he said, and then sighed. “But, I guess… no ghost is ‘routine,’ is it?” He sat back down at the table, looking at his wife expectantly. “Tell me.”
Maddie didn't turn away from her dishes. “It's just -- he saved me, Jack. Plasmius shot at me with a blast, and the Ghost Boy just jumped in front of me without thinking. He took the hit. I worry that he's alone out there… but why did he do it, Jack? What could he possibly gain from all this?” Maddie dropped her sponge and plate into the sink with a splash. “Why am I here scrubbing dishes instead of investigating?”
“And why didn't you tell me sooner?” asked Jack with a pointed eyebrow. “Listen, honey, maybe it doesn't mean anything…”
“That just doesn't feel like the right answer, though,” sighed Maddie, sitting at the table across from her husband. She rested her face in her palms. “Maybe there isn't a right answer. But I want to learn the truth. We've never bothered to learn about the Ghost Boy as a person, really. Who is he? Why does he fight all these ghosts anyway? Where does he go to rest at night?”
“That's a lot of questions,” said Jack. “We can't answer all of them right away.” He paused, thinking. Maddie knew he'd be resistant to research like this. “But we can take some time to study… see what he's really about.” It was a middle ground argument, on unsure footing. But she decided she’d take it.
“Great,” said Maddie. “Let's start tomorrow night.”

“Voodoo doll” - Billy russo x reader
A/n: and here’s another one for Billy. I got the idea from a request I got for another character and I thought it perfectly fit Billy. As if Ben Barnes could ever be considered anything but beautiful, *scoff* please.
Warnings: a bit angsty, fluff though, jigsaw!billy, season 2 billy
Prompts(loosely): “Please don’t say that about yourself. Please don’t believe that. You’re so much more than that. You’re so…”
(let me know if you want to be tagged to any of my writings)
Tumblr media
“Oh, hi you’re up.” You let yourself inside Billy’s hospital room smiling when you saw that the back of his bed was pushed up. He was sitting instead of lying down and that usually meant that he was awake.
“How are you feeling today? The nurse outside told me that she gave you something for the pain but that everything is healing nicely.” Billy recovery looked like it was going to be long but after the impossibly long surgery you were just happy to see him alive and breathing. He didn’t look like he shared your optimism though. Granted, he was bound on a hospital bed, his body probably ached him all over and above all, his face was completely covered in bandages. It was the part that had taken most of the hits and Billy was one lucky bastard to even be in a hospital bed instead of being underground. That’s what the doctors had told you, at least.
Still, you could see how hard it was for him to see this whole situation in a positive way. It was taking its toll on him and you knew that no matter how many bruises and broken bones he had, his psychological health was the one which was in the worst shape.
You tried to offer him all the support you could. Sometimes that meant cheering him up with jokes and terrible puns, others simply required you to be next to him.
Seems like it was one of those days because Billy stayed silent.
“Billy?” you tried again, setting your bag on the ground and taking your usual place by the side of his bed.
“What are you doing here, y/n?” His voice was hoarse from how little he used it these days but hadn’t lost that gruff edge that you loved so much.
“Visiting his majesty of course.”
“You shouldn’t be here. It’s a waste of time anyway.”
“Waiting for the bus for 20 minutes before they tell you that the run has been cancelled, now that is what I call a waste of time.” You complained recalling what had happened that morning.
Since you had entered his room, Billy hadn’t moved. Not that he could manage any big movement given the restraints they had put on him but at least he could move his head. It had been laying on his pillow up until now. He lifted it to try and look you into your eyes.
“I’m not your Billy anymore.”
“Why? Has anyone made their claim on you? Is that what this awful smell is? Your new playmate’s piss?”
Billy made a noise, it sounded a halfway between a laugh or a sob but since his head was covered in bandages, you couldn’t really tell. You hoped for the first, Billy had always loved your sense of humour- he had told you it was one of the reasons why he had noticed you- even if it consisted of terrible jokes. You thought they were hilarious, Billy thought you were adorable. Whatever.
“Listen, I can see how hard you’re taking this whole reversed beauty and the beast plot. But just so you know, I’m willing to let my facial hair grow if that makes you feel like a princess again.” You added on a more serious note, kinda, hoping to convince him that his face wasn’t the only thing you loved about him.
This time, the sound that left him was most definitely a sob. Startled, you didn’t know what to do.
Could he even cry? Wouldn’t it mess up with his bandages? Why was he crying though?
Still unsure on how to go about this, you reached for one of his bound hands only to see that it was tightly close in a fist. Your hand wrapped around his anyway, hoping that this small contact could soothe him in some way.
Fuck, you must be really worse at this than you thought. You were trying to make him laugh and here he was crying.
“Billy?” you tried again in a whisper.
All jokes aside, something must have happened this morning to make him feel this on edge. Had someone been rude to him? Well, he was a wanted person of course people weren’t going to respond to him like they did before. Billy couldn’t even count on his charm and good looks and you knew how good he was at using them to get what he wanted.
Wait, could that be the problem?
You thought about the best way to word the question when Billy spoke again, saving you from the embarrassment.
“I don’t think this is going to work.” Uh, what? Oh no no, he doesn’t get to do that.
“I agree, I’m not a fan of facial hair myself. We could buy you a tiara though. That is definitely going to do the trick.” Completely refusing to acknowledge his words, you kept going along with your previous joke.
“I’m serious y/n.” He insisted, his voice straightening to highlight his intent but still to no avail. Still clueless to it, he had laid on a silver platter your next pun.
“I thought your name was Billy, not Sirius. Wicked name though.” His hand tensed in your hold and you knew that he was getting angry.
“Would you stop joking around for one second? I’m trying to tell you that you shouldn’t waste your time around me.” His voice grew rougher, not exactly the high and strict tone he used to use at Anvil, but you could see he had strained his vocal cord to even attempt a stern voice.
“I’m going to look like a butchered voodoo doll, forget the beast.” He added in a quieter voice. A confession laced with guilt.
“Oh Billy, don’t say that. You’re so much more than your looks, you know that. Besides, I’m sure you’re still going to be the one with the dashing looks of the relationship.” Your voice came out all wobbly and squeaky but you couldn’t help it, hearing Billy’s words, a far cry from the man he used to be made you emotional. You wanted nothing more than to help him but you didn’t know how. And here he was, trying to push you away.
“There’s no relationship, y/n.”
“I know that you’ve taken a big hit on your head, the doctor told me about your memory loss. It’s okay, they told me that some things are going to come back and you remembered my name when you woke up so that’s a good sign.”
Billy contemplated the idea of making up a story about him not remembering about you and come up with someway for how he knew you name when he first saw you after the incident but even though he wanted you to see his point, he couldn’t do that to you.
He did remember you and he knew that the first part of your relationship had been based on lies. About his work, about his past, about his whereabouts when you asked him where he was going to late at night.
He also remembered how that almost had cost him your relationship entirely.
Billy wasn’t one to make promises but he had made one to you. To at least try to be open and honest with you. There were still things that Billy didn’t talk to you about but this time around, instead of coming up with an excuse, he openly said that he couldn’t tell where or what he was doing . That, in the long run, had gained your trust back. You knew it was for your safety and that every time he told you you couldn’t know something, it was work-related.
And despite the fact that Billy was trying to self sabotage himself and your relationship, there was a part of him that didn’t want to see you go.
Yes, he still thought that you deserved more. Not only for his looks but for the things he knew he had done but couldn’t remember. If half the things he was accused of were true, then that didn’t make him a good person, did it?
“I do remember you. There is nothing more vibrant in my mind than my time with you. That’s not the problem.”
“Then I wholeheartedly refuse your attempt at breaking up. You can say whatever you want but I assure you it isn’t going to work.”
“I wish I could say that I did not remember you being this stubborn but we both know it would be a lie.”
“Oh, honey we both know that you enjoy it quite a bit when you want to.” You wriggled your eyebrows, trying and completely failing at making a suggestive face. You were successful, however, in making him laugh.
“Fuck don’t do that y/n, I can’t laugh.” he groaned, his head resting back on his bed.
“Well that is going to be a problem, ‘cause all I’m good at is being a huge cosmic joke.” You smiled at him, happy that he was finally done with all that nonsense he had just tried to pull. Instead, you dived into your back to show him what you had brought him.
It was his favorite comic book.
Apparently, a successful CEO of a security firm had an extensive collection of comic books which was also his most priced possession. The first time he had come around after the surgery, he had asked about them. He was worried that in searching his place for clues and whatnot the police had ruined it or something. You couldn’t see his face but the long sigh he let out when you told him that you had taken care of it personally looked a lot like relief.
What were hundreds of expensive tailored suits in comparison?
You started reading one of his favorite ones, including a very poor but very engaging representation of every sound of action in the story which made Billy smile under all those bandages. He felt like the luckiest voodoo doll in the world.

→ pairing: basketball player!eunwoo x athletic trainer!reader
→ genre: fluff, lil angst
→ word count: 5.1k ________________________________________________
Your POV
One thing you didn’t expect when you applied to be a student athletic trainer for the university basketball team was to end up dating one of their star players, but here you were: holding hands with Cha Eunwoo–the starting shooting guard–as you two walked into the basketball court.
He gave you a smile and a kiss to the cheek before going off to join his teammates in stretching. You let out a content sigh, watching as he happily greeted the other basketball players, and then went over to the other student trainers.
Usually, you wouldn’t have much to do since the boys were just practicing, but there was someone new joining today, so you and the other trainers had to give her a little rundown on what she signed up for.
“-mostly we just tape up and ice the guys if they have an injury or a muscle strain, but yeah that should be about it. Simple, right?”
The new girl nodded, eyes trained on the court as the team just started their warmups. “Who’s that? Number 97 is hot–”
“And dating y/n.” One of the male trainers, and yours and Eunwoo’s close friend, Rocky said, narrowing his eyes at the new girl as he rested his elbow on your shoulder. “So don’t even think of any ideas to–”
“Rocky,” You scolded hitting his stomach, “Don’t be rude.”
The girl gave you a once over, an uncomfortable smile on your face, as her eyes met yours. “Ah...well, you must have an amazing personality, y/n!”
You were taken aback, did she just call you ugly? You forced a laugh, trying your best not to quip back at her. Rocky, though, had no restraints, “Clearly a better one than yours.”
Before the new girl could respond, the head trainer called her over, a huge sigh of relief coming from you. Rocky clicked his tongue as he stared at her back, “She’s not going to last long with us. I don’t get why you’re so timid when others are clearly insulting you, y/n.”
You rolled your eyes at him. When it came to your friends, it was definitely Rocky and Myungjun who were not afraid to be bold about what they were thinking. “Eunwoo and I have been dating for more than a year now, you don’t think I’m used to people always saying that my boyfriend is out of my league? I just try to ignore it now Rocky c’mon, I know how Eunwoo feels about me and that’s enough.”
“Damn hyung’s handsome face.” The younger male shook his head. You chuckled, the two of you taking a seat on the bench and conversing as the basketball practice went on. During water breaks, Eunwoo would come over to where you and Rocky were sitting, chatting it up with you two in brief increments before resuming practice. He would always pucker his lips up for a peck before leaving, which you would definitely grant and Rocky would pretend to be disgusted.
By the end of their practice, you managed to successfully avoid the new girl, waiting outside the locker room like you always do after bidding Rocky goodbye. Eunwoo smiled once he saw you, immediately draping his arm around your shoulders as he kissed your temple in greeting. “Baby, I’m hungry.”
“Mmm, you want to eat out or order in?” You asked looking up at him.
“Order in, I’m tired.” He said, the two of you already making your way to his car.
--
As soon as you two arrived back at Eunwoo’s apartment, he immediately plopped down on the couch. You chuckled, lightly smacking his butt, “Baby, go take a shower first, you’re sweaty.”
“Wanna take one with me?” He asked blinking his big beautiful eyes at you. You grinned, the offer was tempting, but you already took a shower earlier today and you wanted to order this food as soon as possible. Eunwoo pouted as you shook your head in rejection, getting up to go the bathroom looking like a kicked puppy.
You turned on the television to whatever variety show was on at the moment, barely paying attention as you were looking through the food delivery app on your phone. You turned your head as Bin walked out of his bedroom, no doubt having just woken up from a nap.
“Oh? You guys are back.” He said sleepily, waving to you.
“Binnie, we’re ordering for dinner, do you want something?” You asked offering him your phone, a laugh leaving you at the boost of energy he received from the word ‘dinner’
“You know a way to man’s heart, y/n.” Bin said jokingly as he started looking through the menu. “By the way, Rocky texted me about that new trainer–rude ass bitch.”
“God you guys spread gossip faster than girls.” You said amused, “I told him earlier, I’m used to people saying stuff like that. It’s whatever.”
“I guess, but you know how sad Eunwoo will be if he finds out this is still going on?” Bin said handing you your phone back. “We’ve been telling you this since the beginning, don’t let other people’s opinions get to you. You’re attractive, y/n! And to Eunwoo, you’re the most beautiful person in the world.”
You smiled, touched by his words of comfort, “Thanks Binnie, ah where would me and Eunwoo be without all of your guys’ support?”
“Nowhere because he wouldn’t have had the balls to confess to you if it wasn’t for us.” He scoffed heading to the bathroom.
“Change your mind, baby?”
“You better stay in the shower! I don’t wanna see your dick while I’m peeing.”
You laughed at their interaction, your attention shifting to the television as you patiently waited for your food and company. Within 30 minutes, the three of you were happily stuffing yourselves full with the takeout, talking up a storm while watching tv. You leaned back against the couch when you felt your stomach capacity maxed out, hands perched on your belly as you groaned, “I can’t eat anymore.”
They looked at you in amusement, Bin laughing while Eunwoo rested his hand on your knee, a fond smile on his face as he told you he’ll finish up your leftovers. The two boys then got engrossed in their own conversation of sorts, you listening quietly to the side as the food coma started to kick in. Somewhere in the midst of their conversation, you settled behind Eunwoo, legs draped next to his body as you snaked your arms around his waist, resting your head on his back. He hummed, still chewing on his food as he took one of your hands and squeezed it.
You started to zone out, their dialogue beginning to sound like a bunch of nonsensical noise. Bin looked over to where you were laying, “I think y/n’s about to knock out.”
Your boyfriend turned his body to get a glimpse of you, grinning as you whined from the shift in movement. He changed your positions so that you were leaning next to his side, his arm around your waist as you rested your head on his shoulder. “Food coma?”
You nodded, snuggling into his side to get comfortable. Bin watched the two of you with a smile, scooping up the last of his food before clapping his hands, “Well! you guys being all cuddly is making me miss my bub...so see you lovebirds tomorrow!”
You snort, eyes still closed as you respond to him, “Aren’t they hanging out with Eunbi right now? I saw it earlier on their Instagram story.”
He shrugs, gathering up the trash, “I’m going to crash their hangout because I want to cuddle too. Have fun you two, good night sweet dreams, use protection...or not, be a little spicy!”
Eunwoo rolls his eyes as he picks up a throw pillow and chucks it at his roommate, “Alright bye Binnie.”
It takes all but five minutes before Bin leaves the apartment. The moment you two were alone, Eunwoo immediately tightened his hold, practically pulling you onto his lap as he laid you both down on the couch, spooning you from behind. You let out a smile, hands on top of his as he kissed your shoulder, “You ran a lot today baby, are your legs okay?”
He cutely nods his head, his chin lightly digging into your skin, “My calves are a bit tight, but I’ll probably just roll them out at the gym tomorrow.”
You hummed, rubbing his arm, “Do you want me to massage your legs?”
“It’s okay baby, we’re both tired. I’ll just do it tomorrow.” He said, not wanting to move from the couch any time soon. You chuckled, turning around so that you faced him, your eyes finally blinking open, “If you wait until tomorrow, your calves are gonna be stiff and sore, you might get a muscle cramp. C’mon baby.”
He kissed your nose in response, “You were literally about to knock out from a food coma five minutes ago.”
“The feeling comes and goes,” You grinned, moving to stand up from the couch. Eunwoo pouted at your absence, but followed your movement anyway, taking your hand as you led him to his bedroom. He obediently laid face down on his bed, waiting as you searched his room for the roller stick. “Can we cuddle after?”
“Yes,” You laughed, giving him a kiss before you sat down next to his legs. “Baby, this is your perk for dating an athletic trainer. I need to make sure you’re in tip top shape.”
“But rolling calves always hurt.” Eunwoo whined, already wincing as you started to apply pressure under the back of his knee. You tried to be gentle at first before really going in with stretching his calf muscles, “that’s because your calves are the tensest muscles in the body, they’re put under a lot of strain and pressure from walking and running so it hurts when you try to relax them.”
“I love when you talk medical to me,” He sighs dreamily. You roll your eyes, pressing down hard on the meat of his calves. You felt bad when Eunwoo started letting out complaints of pain, trying to talk him through it and distract him from the pressure on his legs. “Ow ow baby! It hurts!”
“I know I know, almost done baby, I promise.” You said gently, rolling the stick thoroughly over both calves a couple more times, trying to get rid of all the deep knots that accumulated in his muscles. After deciding that he’s suffered through enough with the stick, you put it to the side and began kneading the heels of your palms through his skin, stimulating his muscles gently after the harsh rolling session. Your hands slowly moved north until they landed on his shoulders, briefly massaging the knots out in his neck as well. You ended up laying next to him, cooing cutely as you pressed a kiss to his cheek, “all done.”
Your boyfriend smiled, pulling you into his chest as he kissed your forehead, “thank you baby.”
“You better not ask any of the other trainers to do this for you,” You pouted, a little bubble of jealousy coming up from the earlier situation at the gym. “Except Rocky, maybe.”
Eunwoo scoffed, running his hands through your hair as he met your eyes, “I would much rather have you give me a massage than Rocky. And hey, you better not offer this treatment to the other guys too or I’ll get jealous. You’re my trainer.”
“Deal.” You grinned hugging him tightly, all feelings of jealousy quenched.
--
Game days always had a specific schedule to be followed. In the morning, you two were free to do whatever you pleased, but it always ended up with the two of you procrastinating in bed until 11 am. Eunwoo always ate a high-protein high-calorie meal whenever he had games and today’s lunch was no different. After eating, the two of you began to get ready, which included showering and getting dressed.
Today you wore a simple set of jeans a black crop top, finishing your look with the university sports quarter zip, which you were required to wear for every game. After tying your hair up, you turned to your boyfriend who was just starting to dress himself. You took a seat on his bed, marveling at how attractive he looked as he slipped on his jersey and shorts. “I’ll never get over seeing you in your uniform, baby.”
He grinned, placing his arms on either side of your body as he hovered over you, leaning down for a kiss. You expected it to be short and sweet, but Eunwoo had different ideas, lips still working against yours as your back gave in, laying down on the bed. You whined as one of his hands took place on your waist, rubbing at the exposed skin, “Mm, baby, we have to leave soon.”
“I know,” he said moving his lips down your jaw, “I just wanted to kiss you.”
“You can kiss me all you want after your game.” You lightly chuckled, wrapping your arms around his torso in a hug. He nodded, face buried in your neck as he dug his hands under your body, hugging you tightly. You hummed, caressing his hair soothingly, “Are you nervous?”
“A little, I’m always nervous before a game, baby.” Eunwoo said pressing a kiss to your collarbone, “You’ll cheer me on, right?”
“Always,” You said patting his back, “C’mon, we should start heading out soon.”
He nodded, reluctantly getting off of you and pulling your body up with him. You offered your boyfriend a cheerful smile, reaching up to fix the bangs out of his eyes before cupping his cheeks, shaking his face in between your hands, “You’re going to do amazing today baby, as always.”
Eunwoo smiled at your action, pecking your lips again before the two of you did a last-minute search around his room for your belongings. After getting all that you needed, the two of you bid Bin goodbye, telling the swimmer that you’ll see him at the court later. You took your place in the driver’s seat, wanting Eunwoo to just relax for the short drive to the gymnasium. You dropped him off at the entrance first before going to find parking, having Eunwoo arrive early was more important than your arrival anyway.
As soon as you walked into the court, the players were already doing their stretches, your boyfriend in the midst of them all. You glanced at him briefly before greeting the other trainers, the group of you having a quick pre-game discussion of roles before being dismissed to do your own things.
You actively try to avoid the new girl as the time draws closer to the start of the game, not wanting your energy to get dampered. By now, the other team has already arrived and the stands were slowly starting to fill up. You were seated calmly behind the bench, trying to pass the time on your phone, before your boyfriend took the space next to you, hand automatically going on top of your knee. “You ready?”
“As much as I can be,” He grinned rubbing your kneecap, “Wanna come with me to fill up my water bottle?”
You nod, you weren’t doing anything anyway. The male immediately drapes his arm over your shoulders as the two of you walk to the water station, the two of you already getting excited about your dinner plans after the game. The rest of your friends would be joining you, no doubt, as you already spotted them near the front of the student seating.
You were in such a good mood, anticipating the start of what was going to be a good game. Your university was going against their rivals, so expectations for both teams were high. You and Eunwoo were leisurely walking back to the court, he still had a couple more minutes before he needed to join his team.
“Hey, you’re Eunwoo, right? I don’t think we’ve met before. I’m Hana, the new student trainer. You’re really good at playing!” The girl said walking up to the two of you. You immediately felt your body stiffen at her appearance, trying not to let it show to your boyfriend. He gives the new girl a polite smile, “Ah thank you.”
“If you need anything, I’ll be more than happy to help you.” She said batting her eyelashes sweetly at him. You pursed your lips tightly, jealousy easily building up inside of you. Eunwoo only laughed awkwardly, “I appreciate it, but y/n’s got everything handled when it comes to me, right baby?”
You nod, trying your hardest not to punch Hana in the face at her blatant attempt to flirt with your boyfriend right in front of you. Eunwoo noticed your discomfort immediately, removing his hand from where it was interlocked with yours before slipping it around your waist, squeezing the skin gently. “Well, it was nice meeting you Hana, but I should go back to the team...I’ll look at you when I need good luck, baby, hm?”
You manage to crack a smile, a little laugh leaving you when he puckered his lips out for a kiss. You step on your tiptoes, granting his wish quickly, before pushing him out towards the court. You turn towards Hana and give her a forced smile before searching for Rocky.
You weren’t surprised to find him in the bleachers, sitting and chatting amongst your group of friends. You go and join them with a light feeling in your chest, greeting the other four of them with hugs.
“How are you doing y/n? You excited?” Jinjin asked as you take a seat next to him.
“Yeah! I mean the guys have a really good chance of winning this one, it’s gonna be a good game.” You smiled clasping your hands together. Rocky only scoffed as he pointed at you, “Bitch, I saw Hana approaching you and Eunwoo hyung, spill.”
You throw the younger male a joking glare, “Nothing gets past you, huh?”
Bin immediately cringed at her name, hand palming his forehead, “Oh God, what did she do?”
You shrugged passively, “She just introduced herself to him and said that if he needed anything, she’ll gladly help him or whatever.”
The boys groaned in response, Sanha reaching over Jinjin to tap your leg, “And? What did hyung say?”
“He let her down gently and said that he goes to me if he needs anything–”
“As he should!” Myungjun said indignantly, crossing his arms in annoyance. Jinjin only nodded, “Good boy.”
“If she even tries to homewreck y/n, just say the word and I’ll scream at her!” Myungjun said in all seriousness. You laugh at his claim, “thanks guys, but I think Eunwoo made it pretty obvious to her so it’s fine.”
The youngest sighed giving you a pout, “You’re too nice, y/n.”
“That’s what I’m saying,” Rocky said agreeing with Sanha, “If I was you and someone was flirting with my partner, I’d clock them right in the face.”
“Hey, I wanted to–”
“You should have,” Bin sighed, “What a shame, maybe next time.”
“I usually don’t advocate for violence, but I’d turn a blind eye for this, y/n.” Jinjin agreed. You rolled your eyes at them, “You know, as much as I love to sit here and get lectured, Rocky and I have to go down to the trainer section.”
“We’ll see you guys later!” Rocky said as the two of you stand to go to the bench, taking your seats with the other trainers–and as far away from Hana as you could.
The game was already intense from the tip-off, both sides in a tight match to get a starting lead. The cheers from the stands were just as heightened, giving energy to both sides during baskets or free throws. Their plays started to get rougher from the beginning of the second half, more and more fouls getting called on both teams.
You and the trainers were busy as well, assessing each player during substitutions and icing whenever they came back to the bench. By the third quarter, your team established a good six-point lead, the energy of your section high from Eunwoo’s back-to-back 3 pointers.
You could distinctly hear Myungjun’s scream as he shouted Eunwoo’s name, a laugh coming from the bench at his volume. You hid your face in Rocky’s back, second hand embarrassment coming from the two of you at your friends’ loud cheering tactics.
You even spotted Eunwoo letting out a smile as both sides prepared for a free throw, your boyfriend giving a thumbs up to the guys in acknowledgement. His gaze then shifted onto you, your cheeks flushing as he shot you a heart-fluttering wink, a smile gluing itself onto your face.
You watched with pride as his concentration zeroed back in on the game, his team playing impeccable defense as they raced to your side of the court. After a couple back and forth relays, your team was on offense, trying to calm down the tensions as they strategized their next play.
It all happened so fast. The opponents stole the ball from your point guard, commencing a fast break. Eunwoo sped across court, the defense of your team depending on him and another player.
“Eunwoo–screen!”
He followed the instructions of his teammate well, placing his body in front of the opponent as he tried to defend your team’s basket. Unfortunately, the momentum of the other player was too much, both players roughly colliding and falling on the court.
You gasped in horror, immediately standing up from your seat as the referee blew the whistle to stop the play. Your teeth dug into your lower lip in worry as Eunwoo remained on the floor, clutching his waist in pain as some players and the referees surrounded him. The head trainer jogged onto the court, kneeling in front of Eunwoo to ask if he was okay.
The gymnasium was quiet, looking on to the scene that was unfolding in the center of the floor. Slowly, the trainer helped Eunwoo stand up, your boyfriend leaning his weight on the male as he limped off to the side, the coach substituting in the other shooting guard in place of Eunwoo. Both sides started clapping in respect, as they always do when someone gets injured during a play.
The head trainer looked to the group of you, “someone help me with Eunwoo.”
Before you could even respond, Hana beat you to the chase raising her hand, “I can help.”
“y/n,” Eunwoo said, eyes only on you. The head trainer looks between you and Hana, sighing, “Decide amongst yourselves, and fast.”
“It’ll give me more experience-”
“No, I want y/n.” Eunwoo said seriously, not even giving her a chance. The head trainer ushers you over, your feet finally taking a step with the help of Rocky pushing you forward. You accidentally shove Hana out of your way as you approach Eunwoo and the trainer, taking some of your boyfriend’s weight as the three of you walk to the locker room.
Once in the locker room, the head trainer immediately started assessing Eunwoo’s waist, trying to determine whether he needed to be sent to the hospital for a scan. Quickly and quietly, you follow the trainer’s lead, offering your assistance when he needed it. All the while, you hold Eunwoo’s hand as your boyfriend was trying not to think of the pain in his lower back.
“Do you think you can walk, Eunwoo?”
“I don’t know, there’s a sharp pain in my waist if I try to turn my body.” Eunwoo said attempting to rotate his upper half.
“No no no, don’t move. Let’s get you to the hospital to make sure there isn’t anything broken.” He sighed taking out his phone to call the medical team, “y/n, I’m sure you’ll be accompanying your boyfriend. Text me Eunwoo’s updates, okay?”
You nodded, briefly leaving Eunwoo’s side to gather both his and your things. Within the next five minutes, a group of EMTs entered the locker room, lifting Eunwoo onto a stretcher and rolling him to an ambulance, you following closely behind.
You didn’t say much on the way too the hospital, your mind too preoccupied with worry and thinking about the worst-possible scenario for your boyfriend. Even when you arrived at the hospital, Eunwoo was immediately whisked away to get some scans and X-rays done, you being escorted to the waiting room in the meantime. It seemed like forever until a nurse approached you, leading you to the room where Eunwoo was being held.
You let out a sigh upon seeing him, almost being moved to tears as he offered you a smile, “You’re smiling? Cha Eunwoo, I oughta–”
“Baby, I’m okay.” He chuckled lightly, hand outstretched to meet yours. You frowned, putting both of your bags down to the side as you took a seat by his bedside, “Are you okay? What did the doctor say? I need to update the trainer and your coach too.”
“Nothing’s broken,” He said first, attempting to ease some of your anxiety. “The doctor said I had a nasty fall that bruised my coccyx so there’s a lot of inflammation to the area. They gave me some pain medication so I don’t really feel anything right now, but I should be discharged tomorrow. And then he gave me a referral to a chiropractor who I’ll see in about two days. But baby, I’m okay, promise.”
“You can’t play though,” You said softly, hands fiddling with his fingers, “I feel like I’m more upset than you.”
“I played hard today so I don’t regret anything.” He said simply, “it sucks that I couldn’t finish the game, but injuries are a part of being an athlete, you know that baby. Besides, from what the doctor said, I shouldn’t be out for too long, maybe just a game or two. I told him I’m in especially good hands because you’re gonna take care of me.”
You said nothing, still not fully believing that he’s taking this situation so well. “Baby...give me a smile, hm? I’ll feel much better if I see you smiling.”
Mustering up the brightest smile that you could, you finally looked up at his face. His features only softened, knowing that you were trying your best to stay strong for him, “Are you still worried?”
“Baby, you’re in the hospital.” You said as if stating the obvious, “How could I not be worried?”
“You’re so cute being all worried about me,” He teased squeezing your hand. You scoffed, finally easing up a little at his flirting. “You laughed! I heard you laugh just now!”
“You’re annoying,” You said as you took out your phone to give the head trainer updates on Eunwoo’s condition. After you pressed send, you immediately received a call from Sanha, “Hello?”
“Is Eunwoo hyung okay?!” “Is he dying?!” “Eunwoo no he’s too young to die!”
You flinched at their loud volume, turning your phone on speaker so that you and Eunwoo could both respond to their chatter. “Guys, he’s not dying.”
“I’m okay,” He laughed taking your phone. “Hold on, did we win?”
“Are you fucking serious? That’s what you wanna know?!” Myungjun scolded into the phone. You chuckled, the guys talking over each other again as they announced they were on the way to the hospital. “They never said if we won or not.”
“I guess you’ll find out when they arrive.” You said, patting his cheek as you stood, removing your sweater. “Do you want some water, baby? I could go get some.”
He shook his head, puckering up his lips for something else. “Please? I’m injured.”
“You’re going to use this to your advantage, aren’t you?” You asked leaning down to grant him a quick kiss. “Maybe.”
After handing Eunwoo his phone, you went to the bathroom for a little bit before coming back and taking a seat on the hospital bed that he so highly encouraged. “If we get scolded by the nurse, I’m blaming it on you.”
“It’s not like you’re laying in bed with me, baby. We’ll be fine.” He said putting his hand on your thigh. He rubbed your cloth of your jeans gently, thinking to himself as you responded to messages on your phone. “Baby, you know I love you, right?”
You made a sound of confusion, looking up from your phone and meeting his eyes, “Hm? Of course I do. I love you too. Why, all of a sudden?”
“Just, when Hana was talking to us earlier and when she volunteered to try and help, I could see that you were uncomfortable.” Eunwoo said gently, “It annoyed me too, to be honest. Like what else did I need to do to show that I’m dating you.”
“Don’t worry about it,” You said stroking his hair, “I’m used to people thinking that they can steal you away just because they’re prettier than me or more handsome than me or whatever. It doesn’t bother me that much anymore, baby––and it shouldn’t bother you too.”
“That’s so fucked up, y/n, how can that not bother me?” He frowned. “You are the most attractive person in my eyes, baby. If anyone pulls this shit again, I swear I won’t let it slide.”
“I know,” You said quietly, kissing his cheek. “I love you.”
“And I love you,” Eunwoo said, “I don’t want you to ever forget that y/n, you’re mine and no one can do anything to change that.”
“Mmm, I’m lucky that you and the guys always defend me, aren’t I?” You lightly smiled, “God, you have no idea how many times Rocky cursed Hana out in the past week.”
“As he should,” Eunwoo nodded kissing the back of your hand, “see, this is why they’re my friends.”
“Speaking of our friends.” You said looking at the door, “I can hear them coming.”
Your boyfriend chuckled, both of your attentions at the door, which shortly was opened by five boisterous guys. The sound in the hospital room suddenly increasing tenfold at their appearance, all five of them crowding and fussing around the bed. You giggled, sharing a look with Eunwoo as the guys started talking all at once. He grinned, listening until the end of their rambles. Although he was injured, Eunwoo noticed that he couldn’t be feeling any happier. He had no doubt that he would have a speedy recovery, especially if you and his best friends were right by his side. _______________________________________

Car wash
♡ Pairing: Draco Malfoy x Y/N
♡ Summary: Draco buys a new car and has other plans on how to enjoy it with his girlfriend Y/N
♡ Warning(s): Pure smut, 18+ only, degradation, car sex, minors DNI
Tumblr media
Everyone knew that Draco Malfoy was a show off. He enjoyed— no, he relished in flaunting his wealth. From the jewels he owned, the houses, the land and most importantly, his cars.
It was an addiction to him, whenever a new car was made, he had to get it. He loved cars of course, but the true thrill he had from purchasing them, was that fact that he could show them off.
Whether he drove to the supermarket, down the motor way. The faces muggles made when he drifted past them fuelled his ego even further.
So when he found himself parked outside Y/N's apartment, he became excited to show her his latest car.
They were due to have their weekly date, but Draco wasn't on time, which was unlike him. But when he was informed three hours ago that his car had been delivered to the showroom. He had to go, surely Y/N would understand, he assumed.
He honked his car horn a few times, receiving frowns from random onlookers. His response? Throwing up his middle finger at them and rolling his eyes.
Draco waited for his girlfriend to step out of her building, he noted that there was a bit of dust on his dashboard so quickly wiped it off using his jumper sleeve.
"For fucks sake Draco— must you always cause a scene," the sweet, melodic voice came from beside him.
He had his front window wound down, as it were a cool, summers evening— there was no need for air conditioning on these types of days.
Draco turned his gaze towards his lover, taking in her features. He loved how she looked all the time, but the summer made her glow differently.
"Darling," he smiled, opening the car door and stepping out.
He wrapped his arms around her waist, inhaling the fresh scent of her hair. She was an angel to him, so pure, not an ounce of darkness ran through her. Her white summer dress confirmed his thoughts on her.
"You're late," she huffed, leaning her head back at a tilt to glare into his grey eyes.
He kissed her forehead and sent her an apologetic expression, "I know, and I'm sorry— I ran over time," he explained.
Draco unwrapped his hands around her waist, and leaned back onto his car, "well?" He smirked.
Y/N scanned the all black vehicle in front of her, it was larger than what he would usually go for. But nevertheless, still screamed Draco Malfoy.
Y/N hummed, crossing her arms, "it's definitely you alright,"
This caused Draco to frown, even if he bought it for himself, he still liked having her approval, "what's that supposed to mean,"
"It's a little big for you— not what I was expecting," Y/N admitted.
"Shut up, anyway— get in we're going on a date," Draco rolled his eyes, slightly disheartened from Y/N's opinion on his new car.
He'd spent quiet a lot of pounds on it, not that he cared but, the more expensive the item, the better— right?
"Let me drive it?" Y/N chirped, raising an eyebrow up at him.
"Very funny," he dismissed, turning to get back into the car.
"I'm being serious, can I drive it?" She asked again, still standing in the same spot she was in. Draco knew there was not winning this battle, but he needed to stand his ground.
"No,"
"Please?" This time her voice came out more whiny, almost child-like.
"No,"
"Please Draco, don't be so boring," she stepped towards him, raising her head so she could plead with not only her words but her eyes too.
"No Y/N, you almost crashed my last car," he shook his head, reaching for the car door handle.
"That bus nearly went into me, it wasn't my fault— and it was a year ago Draco," she mumbled, the truth was, she hadn't looked in the side view mirror so didn't see the double decker bus pull out beside her.
"Y/N," Draco said sternly.
But when he looked down, the doe eyes she had put on, and the fake pout she had forced her plump lips into. He knew the battle had been won, by her— again.
"Fine," he muttered moving out of the way, "I swear, if you even think about fucking around— you'll sit in the backseat every time after this,"
"We will see," she smirked, pushing him out of the way.
She hopped into the drivers seat, inhaling the fresh leather. Draco's cologne had already filled the car, marking it with his signature scent.
Y/N ran her hands down the steering wheel, not a single scratch on it or thread out of place. She adjusted her seat to sit closer to the steering wheel.
Draco had a tall frame, but also enjoyed driving with his seat tilted at an angle. So adjustments were necessary.
The door slammed from beside her, "for someone who spent quite a lot on this car— you don't seem to have any care for it already," she laughed.
Draco's arms were crossed, as he stared outside the car, ignoring Y/N's comment.
"Such a child," she muttered, fixing the rear view mirror.
"Shut the fuck up," he spat, turning his body so he faced the passenger window directly.
"Put your seatbelt on," Y/N requested, waiting for him to do so, before she could drive off.
Draco cursed under his breath and flung the material over his shoulder, "how could I forget— I don't want to die this early,"
She checked all mirrors before pulling off the curb, the car was smooth, she couldn't feel the uneven roads of London through the car.
Even though Draco was sulking, he had to watch her, he had to make sure she didn't mess around. So he did, and he did intensely.
Despite him hating being in the passenger seat, he was always in awe the way Y/N drove, with such delicate movements— and always relaxed.
She was tiny compared to this car, which made Draco want to watch her further. The way her fingertips clasped around the steering wheel, the way her eyes flicked to each mirror every now and then.
He could watch her all day— but he'd never tell her that.
"So where to?" She spoke, pulling him out of his trance.
Draco cleared his throat, turning on the radio, "I— just keep driving," he mumbled.
"Really? Fine," she responded, she turned towards an empty road, no speed cameras, no on coming vehicles, just a straight road— to go as fast as she pleased.
"Don't you dare," Draco's eyes widened, but it was too late.
She had already pressed her foot down on the accelerator, both her hands were on the wheel as she sped down the road. Draco was forced to hold onto the handle above him.
The wind pushed her hair out of her face, flowing behind her. Her smile bright as ever, as she felt the adrenaline rush through her veins.
Draco had just fallen in love with her all over again.
The road came to an end, which forced Y/N to slow down. She let out a puff of air, and a breathy laugh, "that was fun," she smiled.
Draco nodded, shifting in his seat, he directed her down a few roads. But his mind was distracted, he didn't expect to be turned on by this— but he was.
She drove effortlessly, gliding the large car through small gaps with ease.
He placed his hand on her bare knee, feeling the sudden urge to touch her. But Y/N didn't think much of it, she looked at it as a sign of comfort. So she continued driving, listening to Draco's simple directions.
Draco's hand slid further, he silently thanked her for her choice of attire. He sprawled his finger tips around her upper thigh, flicking the dress out of the way beforehand.
He gave it a squeeze, and noticed how Y/N had suddenly stilled beneath his touch. He held in his laugh, and every now and then continued to flex his grip on her thigh.
Y/N let out a gasp, the rings that decorated his fingers digging into her skin deliciously. The cold metal, contrasting against her thighs that were warm from the summers air.
"Relax my love," Draco whispered, his finger tips pushed her thighs open, giving him ability to run them along the sensitive area.
"Draco," Y/N frowned, trying to close her thighs, but his hands were too strong, and she knew she needed to concentrate on driving otherwise they'd both be in a problem.
She heard his seatbelt click, and shuffling from beside her. She quickly glanced over to his side, to see he had turned fully to face her, his hand still wedged between her thighs.
He kissed her jaw, and then moved down to her naked neck. He used his left hand to keep her legs open, and the right to draw circles close to her pussy.
"You look so beautiful driving this big car," he whispered against her cheek.
His mouth continued to kiss along her neck and down to her collarbone, leaving purple marks on the way.
"You're so small and fragile— my innocent angel, you'll be a good girl for me won't you?" He asked, moving his head back an inch to wait for her answer.
She nodded quickly, "yes," she breathed.
"Perfect," he smirked, he ran the tip of his tongue along her jawline, and nipped at the skin.
He removed his right hand, Y/N let out a noise which he laughed at. She quickly looked at him and saw him dip his middle finger into his mouth. He went all the way up to his knuckle before pulling it out.
His hand found the area again, and wasted no time pushing her underwear to the side. The moistened finger now brushed her clit lightly, the shockwaves shooting through Y/N's spine.
"Draco," Y/N tried to force out a stern voice but it ended up coming out weak.
He ignored her, and resumed circling her clit with his finger. He watched her reactions, the way her fingers tensed, the blush pink shade that now covered her cheeks, he loved it.
"Concentrate on the road darling, can you do that for me," he breathed. His dick was hard, painful and straining against his boxers.
But Draco liked to tease, and would rather do this, then receive his own gratification.
Y/N nodded again, catching her bottom lip between her teeth to stop the light moans that threatened to escape.
His middle finger was replaced by his thumb, the pad of it now stroked it smoothly. The middle one ran down her slit, coating itself in all her arousal. He teased her entrance, before dipping his finger in halfway.
"One foot out of place and I promise, I won't let you cum, do you understand?"
"Yes,"
His lips pressed onto her cheek before he moved his finger. Y/N unknowingly accelerated faster as she felt his finger slip into her, but Draco noticed. He also noticed how she clenched around his slender finger, a sign of eagerness— just as he liked.
He moved his finger slow, missing her g-spot every time on purpose. He knew and so did she, that he could make her cum within minutes, but Draco wasn't in any rush today.
"Fuck," Draco rasped, each light thrust he gave her, forced more arousal to surround his finger.
"You like that don't you Y/N, you like getting off, knowing anyone can see us— fucking whore,"
"Please— Draco," her moan came out strained, her knuckles were white from gripping the steering wheel so tightly.
He brushed her g-spot, curling his finger inside her to give her what she wanted, his thumb never stopped pleasuring her clit.
Draco pushed in his ring finger, the angle was awkward but Draco could make anything work.
He used a scissoring motion, stretching her— almost preparing her for what he had in store.
The wet sounds could be heard over the light music in the background, the ongoing traffic was muffled. Both Draco and Y/N could only concentrate on what he was doing to her.
"So fucking wet, you're making a mess on my seats darling," he laughed, usually Y/N would feel embarrassed about the noises and how wet she became so easily— but she was currently too turned on for any sort of embarrassment.
Draco thrusted his fingers quicker, the wetness of her cunt almost forcing him out of it, resulting in him having to push them in deeper.
Y/N was nearing her orgasm, the sensation too much to concentrate on the road. Her vision became dotted, everything was too much.
Draco's silent praises mixed with the relentless pleasure he gave her, drove her to the edge.
Her mouth opened, the palms of her hand becoming clammy. Her mouth was dry and her throat had closed, she licked her lips quickly, trying to bring back a sense of normality.
But it didn't work, she could hear Draco's heavy breaths, and in the corner of her eye, she could see him palming himself through his jeans.
The motion all came at once, she felt herself about to cum, but noticed the amber light switch to red first. She slammed her foot on the breaks, Draco's hand reached out to prevent himself from falling.
All movements stopped, the coil in her stomach slowly unwinding as Draco removed his fingers from her cunt. She sent him a scowl, however her eyes pleaded with him.
He tutted, raising his fingers towards her mouth. His middle one, smothered her arousal across her lips. The ring finger slid into her mouth, which she welcomed automatically.
Draco glanced at the current road, seeing if he had enough time to kiss her. Which he did, he took his fingers from her mouth and tangled them into her hair.
He dragged her head closer to him, and darted the tip of his pink tongue out, running it along the curves of her mouth.
Tasting her, he hummed, her arousal mixed with the peach chapstick she had on made her taste even better than she already did.
She stuck her tongue out, and opened her mouth. Draco raised an eyebrow and smirked, gathering the saliva in his mouth before spitting directly onto her tongue.
Y/N swallowed quickly, her eyes still begging him to finish her off. A silent beg, but ever so loud to Draco, he nodded, looking at the area they were in again.
It had become noticeably darker, he guided her towards an empty side road, filled with dirt and gravel.
The tension between the pair was thick, Y/N's breathing was laboured, each hump she went over making her sensitive cunt even more wet.
"Pull over here," Draco ordered, the windows had closed. He switched the car off, making his way first, into the back seat.
Y/N watched as he climbed into the middle back seat, his large frame almost covering the centre of the back window. He patted his lap, gesturing for her to join him.
She let out a shaky breath, reaching over to him as he helped her join him. Draco leaned forward, forcing both of the front seats forward— well as far as they could go.
Y/N adjusted herself in his lap, his erection pressing directly in alignment with her soaked thong.
Draco's hand grabbed her throat, pulling her mouth into his. His kiss was wet, and sloppy, tongues dancing with the other. She couldn't help but roll her hips against his.
His grip only tightened, the rings digging into the side of her neck, pinching and scraping against the skin below it. Draco pulled back, his thumb pulling down Y/N's bottom lip and letting it go with a pop.
"Draco," she whined, forcing herself further onto him, he held her hips in place.
"You almost crashed my new car angel," he taunted, brushing the loose strands of her hair out of her face.
"I— I'm sorry," she whispered, trying to lean forward and kiss him, but he pulled away and raised his eyebrow.
"You're sorry?"
"Yes, I— I lost control," she admitted, her chest rising and falling heavily. Draco's hands snaked around to her ass and squeezed harshly.
"Are you sure," he asked, a playful tone now laced in his deep voice.
Y/N nodded, "yes, I'll make it up to you,"
"Good— then make me cum," he ordered.
Her mouth fell open, but her eyes filled with determination. She cupped his cheeks, pulling him into a kiss, she controlled it, as he let her.
But it wouldn't take long before he took over again.
She reached between the two, fumbling with his belt and button. Once she had them both undone, she tugged on his jeans, signalling him that she wanted to push them down.
Her mouth was still attached to his, Draco raised his hips, and pulled his jeans and boxers down.
His cock slapped against his stomach, the tip leaking with pre cum. Y/N wiped her thumb across it, the pad of her thumb now covered in his own arousal.
She tasted him, swirling her tongue around her thumb— the slightly salty taste made her want more.
Draco sucked in a breath as he watched her with heavy eyes, now darker and filled with lust.
Draco grabbed her hand, cupping it in his before spitting on the palm of it. Y/N used his saliva to lubricate his dick, running her hand up and down until it became easier to fist.
"Stop playing with me, Y/N," Draco growled. His hands clenched beside him. He was forcing himself not to take control, she had to make it up to him herself.
Y/N raised herself on her knees, pushing her underwear aside and lining his tip with her entrance.
But she decided to tease them both, running his tip up and down her slit. She mixed her own arousal with his, the small sensation made the ache more apparent.
Draco's hand slapped harshly against her ass, "don't make me tell you again,"
"Or what?" She knew she shouldn't of replied that, but she couldn't help but get under his skin.
But her bold move, infuriated Draco, he grabbed her hip, and forced her harshly onto his cock. The two lovers both letting out strangled groans.
Draco didn't give her any time to adjust, before he started thrusting into her deeply— mercilessly, he didn't care at all.
Y/N held onto his shoulders, the pain shooting through her as she was given little to no time to adjust to his size. But she knew it would subside quickly.
The stretch was unmatched, although it didn't feel as bad due to Draco already preparing her.
Draco's heavy grunts filled the car, perspiration covering his forehead as he pounded into her, the sound of their skin slapping together was music to his ears.
She struggled to breathe, Draco had now put his hand back around her neck, his thumb pressing against her pulse point. She was in a state of bliss, and Draco loved watched her get to that stage.
Her head was flung back, as she clawed at his shoulders, he could feel her fingernails scratching through the cotton jumper.
"Touch yourself," he choked.
Y/N did as he asked, reaching her clit with her index finger and rubbing it quickly.
"Oh— fuck," Draco moaned, his fingertips digging into her ass, which would leave bruises the following morning.
"Your cunt, is perfect," his thrusts grew sloppier, showing he was close.
"I'm— I— shit," her orgasm flooded through without any warning. She knew Draco would be mad, but she couldn't help it. The pleasure was too much— too intense for her to hold it.
Her pussy squeezed around him, which led to him reaching his release. His cum flowed inside of her, just as he liked, he thrusted a few more times before stilling completely.
The windows had fogged up, by their heavy breathing and heated bodies, any onlookers couldn't see through. But that didn't matter as the windows had been tinted to the darkest shade of black anyway.
Draco's eyes were squeezed shut, he gulped heavily and fluttered them open, "you like my new car then," he chuckled deeply.
The vibrations of his laugh, made her tense inside, "yes," she smiled.
"Well it's filthy now," Draco noted, looking at the their cum mixing between them and leaking onto the base his dick.
Y/N hummed, "car wash," she laughed.
"Car wash," Draco agreed, pulling her into a kiss.
