to whoever reads this I NEED you to know that last night I had this incredibly vivid dream where I was on this super peaceful soft, squishy carousel eating a fun sort of weird lollipop adjacent snack and I said to myself “hey I think this is a dream” and replied to myself “yeah this is totally a dream” and then said to myself again “wouldn’t it be sick as hell if I was wolverine” which didn’t totally work because I became wolverines stunt double. Like I knew through dream logic that I was wolverines stunt double. Like in real life. The Actual Wolverine was sick and I had to fill in for the superhero stuff. I had to traverse this three layered labyrinth (first layer library, second layer hedge maze, third layer rural new jersey) and survive being hunted by homicidal robots and tear a dude in half with my bare hands, all while knowing that I wasn’t wolverine I was his stunt double. I had to do all that shit. There’s so much I’m leaving out but that’s the general gist of it. I met so many interesting people that sadly don’t exist.

anyway that was why I watched a couple xmen films today, so I guess there’s that.

Did you know btw that jfk in the xmen film universe was a mutant.

I think the real thing that upsets me, as someone who fell in love with the Avengers and the X-Men before I even realized it was an option for them to exist in the same place at the same time, is that "Two superhero groups that hate each other because of a history of writers contriving conflicts between them in the hope of Being Deep and/or creating drama" is way less fun that "Two superhero groups that do nearly the same thing but actually have two very specific specializations and have to balance working with each other in something between 'professional esteem' and 'disdainful rivalry'," which is one of the funniest ideas on the freaking planet.

Like, yes, it's frustrating that it creates a fandom space where liking one group implies disliking the other group. It's frustrating that it results in my favorite characters being mischaracterized over and over again to force a conflict. But it's even worse that we could still be having dorky super hero banter between two teams instead of just one and we keep getting robbed of that in favor of threatening the X-Men's existence.

What I'm trying to say is that Wolverine being an Avenger should be a scandal because Scott is offended and shocked that the Avengers think Logan would be more useful in a world-ending conflict than he is, not because one of the Avengers said that mutants don't deserve rights and another one of the Avengers is heading up a government initiative that forcibly discloses the identities of people with superpowers to the world.

He says this but Yuuko said the Dream still remained a Dream, and I believe Yuuko over him literally every single time.

Yuuko also mentioned that it has to end by the people who started it, naming Evil Wolverine and Clow. But if Clow isn’t here I suppose the equivalent of the two Reeds would be Sakura and Yuuko? Who are the products of both attempts at Resurrection?

So maybe together they can "End it" and break his plan? That would be nice!

Idea: The child of a scientist Laura assassinated as X-23 is now out to get her, all grown up. For all she’s learned to accept herself as a person deserving of things like peace and happiness, the revelation that this is the culmination of her past sins, let alone someone she left motherless threatens to set Laura back and make her contemplate simply letting this person kill her as retribution for all the suffering she’s caused, brainwashed or not.

#And it wasn’t an evil scientist either #More like a lab professor or something. Someone innocent who’s only crime was opposing someone wealthy enough to afford X23 #Innocence Lost makes a point to emphasize that Laura killed people like warlords politicians and drug kingpins #And I think challenging the idea that she only killed people who deserved it would add more weight to her past #More importantly her present #laura kinney #wolverine #x23
