You can see the moment Fizz breaks and feels bad for Blitzo, realizing that he’s been hurting as well. The trauma is there but Fizz has worked passed it and living his life He’s realizing that this whole time Blitzo hasn’t and self hatred is consuming him.
Tumblr media
The face Fizz made- "You actually wanted to see me"... his anger wasn't at getting burned... but at the thought he was "abandoned" by Blitz. It was a misunderstanding all along, and that's what kills him.

betrayal (simon riley x f!reader)
in the same universe as this post (two lieutenants)
--
"what the fuck, simon."
you slammed down a stack of papers on his desk. he tilted his head up, eyes moving fast as they read what was in front of him. leaning back, he crossed his arms and spread his legs in his desk chair, the picture of composure. "use your words, lieutenant."
you scoffed, unbelieving. "i put in a transfer and you deny it? we're the same rank, you shouldn't even be able to do that." he shrugged, eyes darting away. guilty. "don't know what yer talkin' about. same rank, remember?" you rolled your eyes, feet starting to pace his office floor out of anger. "i thought we were friends, simon." you stopped, the hurt swelling into your words. all your emotions hit at once. betrayal. sadness. you thought he'd be different. "and- and then i see this?" you swiped a hand angrily at your eyes, wiping away the tears before they formed. "what, you just want to hold me back? i want to be a captain and i can't be one on this team. you know that."
he knew that because of late nights in his room over tea, sharing deep secrets. you on his bed, him in his extra chair, whispers exchanged in the dark of the night. the trust you put into your fellow lieutenant was unimaginable, the weight of it immeasurable. your foolish mistake had come to bite you in the ass.
"dove, 's not what you-"
"don't you dare call me that." your finger up against his chest, accusing. his nickname for you too hurtful for you to hear right now. "lovie, let me explain i-" you turned around, heading for the door. done with this bullshit.
and then suddenly you were up against the door, simon's masked hand covering your mouth. he wasn't even breathing hard, the exertion barely making a dent in his stamina. he towered over you, eyes shining through his eyeblack and his simple black balaclava. the thumb of his hand covering your mouth brushed your jaw, a soothing motion to calm you down. "gonna be a good girl and listen?" his thigh was wedged in between your legs, mostly to keep you from bolting, but he used it to emphasize his words. you felt wetness pool in your underwear, your body betraying your mind. you rolled your eyes, but after seeing his facial expression not change, you finally nodded. he took his hand off your mouth, brushing your cheek before leaving it, his thigh forgotten between your legs.
"i denied it 'cause i'm a selfish bastard." your eyes widened in shock. confusion. were you right? "i just-" he took a breath, hand reaching to run through his hair before realizing he had his mask on. he yanked it off, throwing it to the side.
"i just wanted you to myself, ok? heard the team you applied for was gonna go dark for years in russia in an undercover op. and i can't-" his eyes seared into yours, both sets of pupils dilating in the moment. you understood.
"you won't lose me, simon." you reached your hand to run it through his hair, dirty blond strands easily passing through. you both stood there for a moment, taking comfort in the fact that this thing you two had was finally being addressed.
"i can't. after everythin', it's jus- not you too. can't lose you, dove." his masked hands cradled your face, glad your physical friendship boundaries were finally being crossed. you gave him a sad smile.
"i know you want captain. i asked 'round and there's other teams open. closer. was gonna tell you this afternoon but got interrupted." by you, choosing to believe he was like all the men before, who wanted to make you small so they felt big. by you, choosing to protect yourself first, not in the wrong but not optimistic either.
"ugh, you're the worst." fuck, had he gotten in wrong? this whole thing wasn't what he'd planned. the whole confession wasn't in the cards, and now he was paying for it. except-
except you were pulling him in for a hug, standing on your tippy toes so you could wrap your arms around his broad shoulders. his hands immediately rested on your waist, the feel of it so foreign and yet so right. this was the first time you'd ever embraced him like this, so open and emotional. he memorized the feel of you in his arms, just in case, always just in case, then let himself live in the moment. he dug his face into the crook of your neck, sniffing the scent of your contraband shampoo, the scent that chased him in his dreams and nightmares. his thumbs caressed your skin, drawing circles into your waist.
"yer it for me, you know? you see it now? but if you need to choose between me and captain, i get it." he waited for your answer with bated breath, squeezing you tighter in case you turned him down. in case it was his last chance.
you answered with a peck to the side of his head, making simon all warm and fuzzy inside. "you're mine too, idiot. i can still make captain without going to russia." finally, he relaxed. the hug had gone on for longer than necessary at this point, but he didn't want to let you go. slowly, you pulled back, making eye contact. "so when are you taking me out on a real date?"
--
this is for the girlies guys and pals who have always had to feel like they had to choose between a man and a career. with the right man, you deserve both! (i wouldn't know i'm just a hopeless romantic trapped in a college town but i'm trusting what the books say.)

the first ball (aka luke goes a little insane)
pairing: knight!luke castellan x princess!reader
a/n: okay these two literally just like. possess me because i am already thinking about them always. thank you to those who sent in requests, they were already things i wanted to write for them in the future so it's perfect!! we're all on the same wavelength fr i just needed to get this out before i started on them
wc: 3.2k
warning(s): luke is a lil sad </3 knightly duties are rough
once again, a mix of hc's and traditional fic!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
okay so last time we left off luke had been knighted and you were kind of upset that he straight up promised to die for you.
since then, things have smoothed out a bit. The fire inside of you has cooled.
It was easy to get used to Luke’s constant presence. It was a bit more difficult to get used to what it truly meant for him to be a knight.
In private, he was mostly the same Luke you knew. When he would walk you back to your room at the end of the night and you would invite him in, and you’d sit on the floor and talk for much longer than you should. Go out to the balcony with him and stare at the stars, wondering aloud about your future. You would crack jokes in the hallway and he’d laugh like always—he’d actually talk with you, act the way you have for years.
In public, though, he had a different part to act. And that part was largely silent. During meetings he would stand with all the other knights, and the most you could get out of him was a slight smile or a glint in his eye when you looked over at him after something ridiculous was said.
More often than not, his role in your life was to trail quietly behind you or stand at attention.
Sometimes, when the knights would train in view of your balcony, you would stand there and watch, just so you could see Luke display some fierceness, some emotion other than the obedience that was required.
You had to get it into your head that you weren’t just you and Luke anymore.
You’re the Crown Princess, the sole heir to the throne, and Luke is the member of the crownsguard, a knight entrusted to your personal protection.
Things are different now, and you wonder how long it’ll take you to get that through your head.
and things are about to get a little more complicated for you both lol
It’s your first ball since Luke was knighted, which means that it’s the first ball he’s coming to with you.
When you were younger, you typically stayed home and you and Luke would mess around the entire night; stealing treats from the kitchens, giving your governess the runaround, and running out to the castle grounds to do whatever the hell you wanted.
Once you were old enough to accompany your parents, Luke would just have to be alone. His mother always went with your family, seeing as she was your father’s guard, but Luke only had servants and knights decades his elder for company.
He usually ended up training, roaming around the grounds himself, or thinking of you.
Actually, no matter what he was doing, he was typically thinking of you.
Luke would wait up until you came home and listen to you talk and talk and complain and talk about everything that happened. He could be seconds from falling asleep and then he would hear the horses and carriages and he would be back on his feet immediately, instantly going to find you.
You mostly complained—about how your feet hurt from the shoes, how you had to talk to so many stuffy nobles (he would remind you that by definition, you were the stuffiest noble), how you had to pretend like you cared about anything anyone was saying.
Luke doesn’t care, though. He’s always loved listening to you.
One thing is typically the same, though.
“I wish you were there, Luke.”
(So does he.)
Times seemed so simple then, when you were just there to be there—you didn’t have to think of the intricacies of politics, you were just a twelve-year-old who happened to be a princess.
And now you’re only two months from eighteen, and you’re already feeling all of the pressure.
Namely in the form of a marriage.
Relations with your neighboring kingdoms are shaky as hell but they’re a necessity if you want to keep any modicum of peace. No one likes it, but you’d like war a little bit less so you’ve gotta suck it up.
The easiest way to keep the peace is through alliances, and the easiest way to get an alliance is through marriage. Fortunately for Aurelda, the princess is eligible and seems to be the subject of many noble affections.
Unfortunately for you, that princess is in fact you.
And for like, the first time since Luke has been knighted, you’ve actually been separated from each other for the majority of the day
Luke had to get a lecture on knightly etiquette, this being the first ball he’ll have attended away from Aurelda. He’s gained a temper as he’s gotten older, and the last thing anyone needed was for him to lose it in the midst of peace talks.
And you were busy with all sorts of preparations. A meeting with your parents and their advisors ensuring you would know what to talk about, a meeting alone with your parents ensuring you knew how to act as the Crown Princess in times like these. A talk from your parents not as their daughter, but as their heir, on how to deal with the suitors you would meet.
Unlike the Aureldan nobles that would thrust their sons in front of you in the dim hopes of sparking your interest, the men you would meet at this ball would actually be potential husbands. Princes, sons of the richest dukes and earls—and you would be expected to entertain whatever advances they deemed appropriate, or worse—make the advances yourself.
The thought of it was a bit overwhelming.
And obviously, Luke is such a fan of it.
(He kind of wants to die just imagining it.)
(But he doesn’t tell you that.)
You leave Aurelda a few days before the ball to make sure you’ll make it in time (carriage rides go crazy)
unfortunately, Luke is on horseback alongside the rest of the cavalry and so you have nobody to save you from the continued lectures of your parents. They really just want everything to go perfectly, and you understand it, but you’re already tired of this.
You arrive the morning of the ball so you spend near the entire day accompanying your parents as they talk with the royal family—at one point you’re forced to go off on your own with their son who just happens to be your age.
He’s nice, at least—just dreadfully boring. You manage to slip away from him at one point after he gets distracted talking with a servant, and Luke follows you without complaint.
“Do not say a word,” you told him.
“As my princess decrees,” he said, amused.
At the end of it all, an hour before you’re meant to leave, you find yourself in your room with Luke. He’s standing guard at the door, and you’re making last minute adjustments to your appearance.
You should both probably be somewhere else—everything has to go perfect tonight, and you feel as if the entire staff has been in disarray trying to ensure that—but you had to get away.
And if you’re getting away, Luke is coming with you.
It doesn’t matter that it’s his duty—he would do it anyway. He thinks he’d do anything you ask.
You’re also very thankful that he doesn’t snitch on you—sometimes, you’re able to appeal to best friend Luke rather than Sir Luke.
You’re fixing up the last couple bits of your appearance, ensuring all your jewelry is shiny and your gown fits just right and your makeup is perfect.
The only sound is your sighs and hums and the clinking of your bracelets. You feel Luke’s eyes on you the entire time, and then he finally speaks up.
“I don’t like this, princess,” Luke said.
“Really?” you hummed. “I think I look quite dashing.”
“You always look beautiful,” he said, “but you know that’s not what I mean.”
“You don’t like much,” you mused, adjusting the position of your necklace.
“This ball is a bad idea,” he insisted. “You shouldn’t be here.”
“I don’t have a choice,” you said. “It’s enough that my mother is staying home—if I don’t go, especially now that I’m of marrying age, it’ll be taken as a huge insult.”
“Let them be insulted,” he said. “Your safety is more important than their feelings.”
A smile tugged at your lips as you turned around and cocked your head at him. “Everything is going to be okay, Luke. No one would be bold enough to…”
You trailed off, your smile fading as the memories fronted. It had been almost two years and it still felt so fresh.
Of course Luke would be thinking of it—this would be his first ball in a foreign kingdom as your knight. His mind was probably reeling thinking of all the ways you could be murdered.
You shook your head before the memories could fully surface, before you could entertain any possible disasters. “It’s going to be okay,” you repeated, more forcefully this time. “You’ll be by my side the entire time, right?”
“Of course,” he huffed. “I just hate the thought of you having to go through all of this.”
“It is what I was born to do,” you said wryly. “I’m going to lead this kingdom someday.”
“Queen is a good title for you,” he admitted. “It seems so far away, though.”
You huffed. “And may it remain that way.”
You moved closer to the mirror to check your makeup, which was when you realized you forgot the most important piece.
You picked up your most prized necklace from your jewelry box and undid the tie. You attempted to get it back together around your neck, but for some reason you couldn’t get the knot from this angle. After a few fruitless attempts, your shoulders sagged.
“Luke,” you grumbled, “can you help me with this?”
You could see his raised eyebrows in the mirror. “If you can’t do it, what makes you think I can?”
You didn’t give him an answer, instead turning around to face him as you batted your eyelashes. “Please.”
He shook his head. “I can’t.”
“Please,” you repeated, jutting your lip out. “You can swing a sword—you can do up a necklace.”
Luke sighed, but he was already removing his gauntlets, setting them on your bed. “You’re dangerous, princess.”
 You smiled inwardly, and once he was done and walking over to you, you held out the pendant.
Luke paused as he took it, and his eyes darted back up to yours with the slightest smile on his lips. “You still have this?”
“Of course I do,” you said. “It was from you.”
It was only five years ago, but it felt like a century. Luke had gone into town with his mother when your father was cooped up all day in meetings. He’d come back beaming brighter than the sun, proclaiming he’d gotten a gift for you.
Luke was paid a tiny sum per month at May’s request for the chores and work he did around the castle—she claimed it would keep him in order if he was rewarded for staying in order. It partially worked.
Luke saved for months under your nose, and used what meager gold he possessed to buy you a simple pendant from a merchant. Once again, your excited scream must have echoed through the entire castle.
You wore it every day for the next year and a half, but at some point after tragedy struck, it ended up out of rotation.
But you’d always had it, even when you weren’t wearing it.
Always.
“I just thought…” He glanced back down at it before looking back at you. “It’s not nearly as nice as your other jewelry.”
“It’s from you,” you repeated. “That means it’s my best piece.”
A small smile pulled at his lips, and he gestured for you to turn around. You did, and you watched his work through the reflection.
His callouses scratched your skin ever so slightly as he moved your hair out of the way, and a shiver ran up your spine both at his touch and the cool air hitting your bare skin. You were silent as he positioned the pendant, not daring to even breathe.
He tied it together with deft fingers, and you smiled as you felt the leather cord settle around your neck again.
“And you said you couldn’t do it,” you said wryly.
“Perfect,” he murmured, almost to himself. Almost as if he’d forgotten you could hear him.
For a moment, time froze. Luke’s hands just barely grazed the bare skin of your neck, and your breath caught in your chest at his proximity. He’d done what you asked, but he didn’t move. You didn’t ask him to—you didn’t think anything would come out if you tried.
You could see his lips part, but they opened and closed a few times before he managed words.
“Princess, I—”
And then there was a very loud knock on your door, jolting the two of you apart. Air finally returned to you as you tried your hardest to will the heat out of your entire body, and Luke was putting his gauntlets back on quicker than you’d ever seen.
“Come in!” you exclaimed, voice higher pitched than usual as you smoothed out your gown and fixed your hair and felt the blaze beneath your skin.
Your lady’s maid opened the door, not even paying Luke a second glance. “I was wondering where you were, Your Highness.”
You forced a smile, thankful for all your childhood training that it would be at least somewhat believable. “My apologies. I required some time alone after the chaos of today.”
She nodded. “You needn’t apologize, Your Highness, but it is necessary you get on your way. Your Majesty is nearly ready, and it is imperative you enter together.”
You swallowed thickly as you glanced over at Luke. He wouldn’t make eye contact with you.
“…Of course,” you said. “Lead the way.”
You followed your lady’s maid and Luke trailed after you. For some forsaken reason your skin still burned where he’d touched you.
and you’re expected to entertain other suitors tonight with Luke in the vicinity.
god help you.
but anyways. you manage to regain most of your bearings by the time you reach your father—Luke still won’t look at you, but you can’t deal with that problem right now, even if it’s clawing at your insides—and your father helps calm you down before you go in.
You enter the ballroom on the arm of your father as the two of you are announced, and your hold on him tightens as you see the sheer number of people here. It all feels much more overwhelming than it did when you were younger—maybe because you understand what this all means.
You continue to stand with your father, clapping politely as other royals are introduced, connecting faces to names and descriptions that you’ve been quizzed on for years.
It isn’t long after the king of the kingdom you’re visiting gives his speech that you’re pulled into a conversation with your father, and it takes five seconds for you to realize this is what the rest of the night is going to be like.
You search for Luke by the wall with all the other guards, but you can’t find him. You sigh and let your attention be drawn back to the conversation at hand.
Luke, meanwhile, can see everything. He sees you looking for him, he sees you talking with the prince of a nearby kingdom, he sees both your and his father casually moving away to leave the two of you to talk alone.
He says nothing.
Not that he can, anyways. Luke stands at attention with the other crownsguard, specifically stationed next to your father’s personal guard. He’s within view of every exit, and he can’t help but profile every person that walks past him.
He’s especially honing in on every person that talks to you throughout the night. His mind is working overdrive trying to remember all the names of foreign royalty—he feels like he’s already made up ten worst case scenarios for how this night could go.
It only takes another hour for the prince of the kingdom you’re in to find you and spark up a conversation, and a muscle works ever so slightly in Luke’s jaw.
He already had to deal with that dull prince for hours, showing you around the castle and trying to start conversation and just making everything so dreadfully boring Luke was surprised you could handle it.
That was why you were the princess, after all. You could take everything in stride with a pleasant smile—Luke fought his way through his problems.
He couldn’t exactly fight through this one.
But you sure as hell could smile through it—and gods, your smile was beautiful. No wonder you were talking with what seemed to be your fifth prince of the night.
Whatever he says makes you laugh. The prince places his hand on your arm, and Luke feels himself flinch.
He’s thankful that the guards are the same as background decorations for a majority of the people here. He’s gotten good at controlling his emotions when he has to, but none of his slipups will be noticed. Not by the crowd, not by your father, not by you.
It’s a torturous existence that Luke’s got going on here. It’s his job to look out for you, to watch the every move of you and those around you, because he has to be the first to act if anything goes wrong.
But it’s not all that great for him when he’s just watching royal after royal vie for your hand.
At least, that’s what he figures they’re doing. He can’t exactly hear everything through the revelry, but it’s the only thing that makes sense.
Luke keeps going back to the two of you alone, you asking—pleading, practically—for him to help with your necklace.
The necklace he got you in a childish declaration of love, that he thought you had forgotten about.
You hadn’t.
It looks out of place, he knows that much—a piece of himself among gold jewelry and shimmering gems. A leather cord holding onto a rough piece of turquoise, your initials carved into the back in the corner—his own work.
You had a part of him with you as noble sons tried to woo you, as you tried to take the next step into your future.
He doesn’t know if that makes it better or worse
Sometimes, Luke wonders if you know. Oftentimes, Luke wonders if you could feel the same.
He never lets himself entertain that train of thought for very long.
It doesn’t matter how he feels. It doesn’t matter if you went against all rationality and somehow felt the same.
Because you’re a princess—the heir to the Aureldan throne. Expected to marry and produce heirs and lead your kingdom into a golden age of peace.
Luke is just a knight.
Nothing will ever happen.
That’s the only thing he needs to remember.
But that doesn’t mean his lip doesn’t curl in disdain ever so slightly when the orchestra starts up, signifying the beginning of dances, and that tiresome prince offers you his hand.
You take it, smiling back at him as you walk onto the floor together with other pairs.
Remember your place, Castellan, he thinks.
It's a lot harder than it should be.

Don't Belong part 2
Masterlist Natasha Masterlist
Part 1
Word Count: 5499
Relationship: Mother WandaNat x Daugher Reader
Summary: After Y/n's accident on her mission, her mother's are terrified that they might not get the chance to make things right with their daughter. That's assuming Y/n wants anything to do with them when she comes around.
Nat: Mama Wanda: Mom
Nat's POV:
It's been over 24 hours since Y/n came out of surgery and she's still unconscious with a machine helping her breathe. I thought she would have been awake by now and there'd be a relief that she was on the start of her long road to recovery.
Instead, Wanda and I are glued to our seats next to her bed. We've only gotten up to use the bathroom. Otherwise, we've remained by her side. Pepper kindly offered to take the boys for as long as it's needed. Though they are both very anxious to see Y/n themselves. They might be young, but they understand that she's hurt. They love their sister, and they want her to wake up just as much as we do.
I've not slept since we found out that she was hurt, and I don't plan to until she is awake. Though the longer it goes on, the more my body is fighting against that desire. I want to be there when she wakes up to show her that her moms are going to be there for her the whole way through her recovery.
Wanda and I have spoken a lot over the last day. We've shared our pain and sadness, whilst making sure we come up with a plan to help her with her recovery and to ultimately gain her forgiveness.
We both know that Y/n will not forgive us easily, if at all. But that doesn't mean that we're not going to try with everything in us. For too long we've allowed her to go about her life thinking that we don't love or care for her anymore. She has every right to feel that way after how we've treated her. But she will not ever question that again.
The both of us are sat in silence, both of us watching over our daughter. My eyes are trained on her chest, making sure that she is still breathing, gaining a lot of comfort from the rhythmic rise and fall of her chest. However, the silence doesn't last long until the door flies open.
Out of instinct, both Wanda and I shoot up from our seats and take a defensive stance in front of our daughter to protect her from any danger. However, we soon relax when we see Yelena's worried face. "I came as soon as I could." She tells us as she moves closer to the bed, her hand hesitant as it reaches out towards her niece.
Yelena has been away for most of the time over the last few years. She's been helping to find all the widows and has only come back for a couple of days at a time. Each time though, she has always made time for us. "How is she?" She asks, as I pull up another chair for my sister.
"It's not good. She's still in critical condition. They had to remove part of her liver, but Cho reckons that if she can get through these first few days, that she'll be on track for a full recovery." I fill her in as her eyes never leave Y/n. "Clint said that it was a double agent that set her up." She states and we nod in clarification. "I'll be paying a visit to Fury when I'm done here." She announces, an anger to her voice. "We've tried to see him, but Fury won't let us anywhere near him." Wanda warns her but Yelena just scoffs. "I'll get to him one way or another." She states and I believe her. She's incredibly protective of the people she loves, and she'll want to make sure that he pays. I actually hope that she does.
"Wait, you said you were with Clint?" I question her and she nods. "Yeah, he was with me on my last mission. He's waiting outside, he didn't want to intrude." She responds, pointing towards the window behind her where Clint is stood with a young girl next to him. "Who's with him?" I ask. "Kate Bishop. Clint's stray. He's going to see if she can join Shield." Yelena explains. "She was with us and had no where else to go so I said she could stay here for now." She adds on. If Clint thinks she's worthy of Shield, then I believe that she is. She must also be good if Yelena has been working with her. She wouldn't let anyone help who would slow her down.
"How long are you back for?" Wanda steps in with her own question, making my own ears prick up for her response. "As long as I need to be. I want to be around to help with her recovery." Yelena replies, making me smile. Y/n is going to need all the help she can get, and she adores Yelena, so I'm glad that she's not going anywhere any time soon.
After a while, we indicate for Clint and Kate to come in. We go through our introduction, and I can see how enthusiastic Kate is. She's very chatty and I'm surprise she's not pissed off Clint and Yelena yet though! "I read about Y/n in the Young Initiative files." Kate shares. "Did you know she is the only recruit to ever get a perfect score. She could have passed the exams two years ago and still topped the class." She tells us enthusiastically. "Sounds like you're a fan." Yelena teases her, making the young girl blush. "I guess when your parents are the Black Widow and the Scarlett Witch, you're going to be good." Kate chuckles.
It makes my gaze drop, something that Yelena clocks on to instantly. She's not been around so hasn't seen how we've treated Y/n. I'm actually worried for when I tell her. She's going to hate us for it and I'd be surprised if she even lets us stay around Y/n. "Y/n did it all on her own. With a little help from Steve. Her talent has come from her own ability and desire to be the best." Wanda corrects Kate, showing that we have no claim to how good Y/n is at being an agent. "Oh, that's even more impressive then. You must be really proud." She smiles at us and we both nod. "More than she'll ever know." I mutter.
__________
When Kate and Clint leave, Yelena is quick to question Wanda and I. We tell her of what's been going on and how ashamed we are and how much we want to be able to fix everything. "You don't deserve to fix it." She spits angrily at us. "It's no excuse to say that you got lost in the boys. Y/n is your daughter too and she needed you." She shouts, calling us both out on our actions. "We know Yelena. We can't take back how we've treated her. But I promise that we won't every do anything like that again!" I tell her sincerely. "No, you won't. I won't let you. If you are going to be back in her life as the parents you should have been, you have to be all in. You promised to be better than we had Natasha!" She tells me firmly with a finger jabbing into my chest.
"I know Yelena. I wish I had a valid excuse or reason for what we did. I will never forgive myself. I will always have a hatred towards myself for ever making her feel the way we did. But I'm not going to wallow and hide away from it. I want to own up to the mistake and try and fix it. I know that it's not going to be an easy fix, but I will stay here and face the brunt of the anger and pain that she's feeling because I will not give up on her. Not again." I tell her passionate. "Neither of us will. I promise you Yelena, we will do everything in our power to fix this." Wanda steps up and adds her own promise, taking my hand. At least we have each other through all of this.
Yelena doesn't speak, she just looks between the two of us, her chest heaving with anger. It's intimidating to be the one on the receiving end, but we deserve it. I'm glad that Yelena is here. She simple nods her head and that is the subject over with. For now.
That night, my body ultimately wins, and I end up getting a couple of hours sleep. Though it's full of nightmares that I can't seem to escape and then when I wake up, I'm terrified that Y/n will be awake already and I'll have missed it. But when my body wakes with a jolt, I'm met with my sleeping wife and still unconscious daughter.
I stretch out and move closer to the bed and take Y/n's bruised hand in my own. "I can't lose you. You are my daughter, blood or not and I love you so much. I know I haven't shown that to you and there is no excuse for that. I also know that you have every right to never forgive me. So, my only request, is please wake up. Please survive. I don't think I can live in a world without you in it." I plead with her. Hoping that somewhere in her subconscious she can hear me. I squeeze her hand, hoping for any response, but nothing comes.
The day goes by slower than usual. That is until Cho comes in to check on Y/n and gives us the good news that she should be able to breathe without the ventilator now. Wanda and I step outside as we watch through the window. We're holding on to each other tightly as we watch. "This is good. She's strong and this is the first step to her waking up." Wanda speaks. I can hear the hesitation in her voice, showing that she is trying to convince herself more than anything. "You're right. She is so strong. I know she's going to wake up soon." I add on, smiling at my wife.
Cho soon joins us with a smile. "She's doing well. She's now breathing easily on her own. I expect she'll wake up within a few hours. I'll be back to do a full examination then so we can assess her injuries." She informs us. I feel a sense of relief wash over me. Hopefully it won't be long until our daughter is back with us.
The next couple of hours seems to drag by. Clint, Yelena and Kate all paid another visit but left to try and sort a room out for Kate in the compound. Steve was then the next to join us, taking a seat at the end of Y/n's bed. It's a long wait until we finally see a twitch to Y/n's eye.
I'm the first to my feet, leaning over to see if I had imagined the small movement. "Y/n, honey. It's mama. Can you hear me?" I ask her, fighting off the tears threatening to fall. With a flutter, her blues eyes lock on to mine. "She squeezed my hand." Wanda says excitedly. "Baby, we're here." She tells Y/n, who's got a confused look in her eyes.
"You're in the medical wing sweetheart. You got shot on your mission." I explain to her. "S-t-Steve." She stutters out. "He's fine. He's here." I reassure her, waving for Steve to come closer. "Hey kiddo. Boy we're glad to see you awake." He tells her with a relived smile. One that she returns. "I'll got and get Dr Cho." Wanda states, quickly leaving the room. "T-the m-mission." Y/n starts but Steve is quick to stop her. "Is not to worry about right now. Just know it wasn't your fault. But we'll explain it when you're doing better." He tells her, earning a nod. She reaches out her hand to Steve and he instantly takes it. "You're not allowed to scare us like that again." He chuckles, his voice wavering.
"S-sorry." She replies, her eyes fluttering again. "It's ok sweetheart. Don't fight it if you want to sleep again." I tell her softly. She doesn't really acknowledge me, but she does seem to listen as her eyes flutter shut once again.
They don't stay closed for long though, soon woken up by Cho as she comes in with a wide smile. "There's my favourite patient." She smiles at Y/n, who grins in return. "I bet you s-say that to e-everyone." Y/n responds through a struggled chuckle. "But with you I actually mean it." Cho winks, before looking over Y/n's chart and obs.
She takes the time to explain Y/n's injuries to her and the plan for her recovery. I see her face drop when she realises she's going to be in the hospital for at least another week before being on strict bed rest when she's discharged. "I'll be around if you need anything or have any questions. So please get one of the nurses to get me if you need me. That goes for all of you." Dr Cho offers. "Thank you. For everything." I tell her sincerely. She gives me a tightly smile before turning on her heel and leaving the three of us too it.
With Cho gone, it's silent in the med bay as Wanda, Steve and I just watch over Y/n. She is struggling to keep her eyes open, but I can see a pain in them when they lock on to mine. "You should get some rest kiddo." Steve speaks up as Y/n nods in return. "W-will you s-stay?" She asks, making Steve smile widely. "Of course." He returns, moving to get another chair to sit with us. At that confirmation, Y/n seems comfortable enough to let her eyes close and for sleep to take back over.
It's almost agony to see her asleep once again. We've been waiting for so long for her to wake up, for her to be asleep so soon is tough. I almost want to start apologising and showing her that we're going to change and it's going to stick. But I don't want to overwhelm her. At the moment, her recovery is the most important thing. As much as I hate it, earning her forgiveness will have to wait.
"Now she's awake, you two should head to your apartment. See the twins, eat some proper food, and get some sleep. I can stay with her." Steve offers, but I'm quick to decline. "I don't want to leave her." I tell him, whilst gripping her hand tighter, my eyes not leaving her sleeping form. Steve lets out a sigh. "She'll be asleep for a while, and she needs you both on top form." He tells us.
I feel a hand on my shoulder and look up to see Wanda smiling warmly at me. I hadn't even noticed that she had moved from the other side of the bed. "Steve's right. We've been here for days. If we want to do what's right by Y/n, then we need to look after ourselves as well." She speaks sense.
With a huff I stand from my seat and lean forward to press a kiss to Y/n's head. "We'll be back later sweetheart. I love you so much." I tell her softly then move so that Wanda can say goodbye too. With one last look to our daughter, we both reluctantly leave. Though I smile when I see Steve move closer and take Y/n's hand in his own. Although I will forever regret how we have treated Y/n, I'm glad that she has had Steve there for her.
Y/n's POV:
Well, that was not how I wanted my first mission to go. I wanted to impress everyone, not end up in the med bay with part of my liver missing! Waking up was a weird experience. Seeing my parents' faces were the last thing I expected to see. They seem genuinely worried, but that was probably all a front for everyone else. They can't be seen to not care about the daughter they've ignored for the last few years.
When I wake up next, I see Steve smile down at me. "You're still here." I say and he nods. "Of course. I wanted to make sure that you're ok." He replies, making my own smile grow. I look around and my smile drops when I see that my moms aren't here. I can't hide that it hurts a little that they didn't stick around. But I shouldn't care about that. They haven't cared about me.
"Should have guessed they would go once I woke up." I complain, wincing as I try to adjust myself in bed. "Careful Y/n/n." Steve scolds me as he shoots to his feet to help adjust my pillows. "I told them to go." He admits and I look at him with a frown. "Not like that. But they have not left your side since you were brought in. They weren't looking after themselves and if they are going to help you through your recovery, they need to be at 100%" He explains but I just scoff.
"I don't need their help with my recovery. They didn't care before I was hurt, they don't get to care now." I groan. Steve takes his seat again and looks at me with his, "I know I'm right" look. "Y/n. I know you don't believe it, but they do care for you. They were cut up when you got hurt. They were devastated that they wouldn't have the chance to be able to make things up to you." He says. I roll my eyes, but he continues. "Look, I'm not saying you have to forgive them. But you can't question how much they have cared for you over the last few days."
"Fine, but I'm not going back to their place to recover." I huff, folding my arms. "Considering you've been shot and in a medically induced coma for the last few days, it's good to see it hasn't affected your attitude." Steve teases.
We sit in silence as I think about my parents. They surely can't think that just because they've been sat beside my bed whilst I've been hurt is going to make up for everything that they have done over the years? Who's to say that they won't go back to how they were once I'm healed? I have a place at Sheild now. Somewhere that I can make a name for myself and create my own family.
"I'm sorry I messed up the mission." I break the silence, my mind now moving on to the fact I failed at my first mission. "You didn't fail anything kiddo. We were set up. If anything, I should apologise to you. They were after me, but you were the one to get hurt. You did a great job of take on as many agents as you did." He explains, taking my hand in his. "You fought, and it's because of your skill and ability that you're alive. You impressed everyone." He assures me, running his thumb over my bruised knuckles.
Our moment is broken when my moms walk back in. "You're awake!" Mom says excitedly as both her and mama move into the room quickly. Steve moves back from my side, which I frown at as mama takes my hand in hers. I'm quick to pull it away. The hurt that flashes across her face doesn't go unnoticed, but I'm not in the mood to pretend like everything is ok right now.
"How are you feeling?" Mom asks, appearing to my left. "I'm fine." I respond shortly, receiving a warning raised eyebrow from Steve. "Are you in pain? I can get the nurse to come in and get you some pain killers." Mom fusses. "I'm fine." I repeat the same words. "That's not true, you've been wincing since you've woken up." Steve rats me out. Traitor. "If a 40 calibre bullet went through you, I'm sure you'd be wincing too." I snap. "Told you. Amazing how your attitude hasn't changed." Steve chuckles.
However, both my mom's look at me with worried looks. "I'm going to get Dr Cho. You look pale." Mom worries before rushing out the room.
Mama reaches forward and places her hand on my head, which I quickly try and move away from her touch. "You're hot. I hope you're not running a fever." She states. "Like you care." I mumble, but she hears it and that look of hurt appears on her face again. "Look Y/n. I know you believe that we don't care or love you. But that couldn't be further from the truth. I want nothing more than to talk to you about it and start to make up for everything. But right now, all that matters is your recovery. You can hate us and ignore us or yell at us, but we are not going anywhere." She states firmly, her eyes locked on to mine. I just roll my eyes and turn to look at Dr Cho who has walking into the room.
She checks me over and I notice the frown on her face. "What's up?" I question. "I'm worried about your temperature. I want to run some tests, but with the inflammation to your incision, I'm worried you've got an infection. It's nothing to worry about as we've caught it early. But we'll need to keep a close eye on you." She replies. "So, no discharge yet then." I huff.
Cho chuckles and looks up from my chart. "It's funny you think you were close even without this infection." She teases. "Aren't you meant to be nice to me? I'm a patient after all." I pout. "If I'm on good behaviour, can I get out early?" I plead. "Maybe in a week. But you'll be on strict bed rest and need to be cared for. You're still technically a minor." Cho breaks the news and I know exactly what she's getting at. "But I'm 18 in like 4 days! Besides, I literally got shot on a mission for Shield. Surely that's enough?" I argue.
"Y/n, you are going to struggle to walk, let alone be able to properly look after yourself. Even after you're 18, you'll need support during your recovery. It isn't a simple road ahead for you." Dr Cho returns. "So, what are you saying?" I get straight to the point. "I'm recommending that you are discharged to your family. You'll be in the compound so if anything goes wrong, you can get the right medical attention straight away." She explains. "Really? There are no other options. Can't I stay with Steve or something?" I ask but she shakes her head.
"Y/n, come on. It's what is best for you. Your moms will be there to help. I'll be away on missions so can't give you the care you need." Steve speaks up, but soon shrinks back as I glare at him. "Really, what makes you think that I'll get the care I need at home?" I growl, my anger building. "Y/n..." Mama starts but I cut her off. "No! You can't just stand there and act like the caring parents when you have done nothing to back that claim up. I've been the forgotten daughter for years! Slowly I have been pushed out this family and now you want me to just act like everything is ok and trust that you'll look after me?!" I yell, that frustration finally finding its way out.
"Y/n, you need to calm down. Your heartrate is getting too high." Dr Cho tries to calm me down. "Kiddo. You're ok. You need to give them a chance." Steve tries to reason. "A chance like I was given? I've practically raised myself these last few years!" I snap. Why is he suddenly defending them?!
"Please sweetheart. You're going to make yourself sicker. We want to be there for you. We're not denying how badly we've treated you. But I promise that it will never happen again. You'll be safe with us. We just want to be able to care for you and help you get to full health." Mama speaks, her eyes filled with tears. I look between her, and mom and I see that she's almost inconsolable. "Do I have a choice?" I sigh, turning to Cho. "Technically, yes. But physically, you won't be able to follow through with it." She breaks the bad news. Suddenly the sounds of my heart monitor becomes noticeable so I lie back and take a couple of deep breaths. I can feel all their eyes on me, and I let out a sigh. "Fine whatever." I respond. I just need to do everything that Cho tells me so I can heal as fast as possible and move back to Shield and start my life again.
__________
The next few days are not fun. My infection hit me pretty hard, and I spent a lot of time either sweating or freezing whilst fighting the urge to throw up. I hate being stuck in this bed and I just want to be healthy again and being able to go on missions. Before it went south, I was loving it. Even if it was just a small one.
I'm also finding it hard that my mothers are suddenly around all the time. Mama is much better at not smothering me. Mom on the other hand, she is always fussing. But that's her and I used to love it when I was younger, when she actually cared about my wellbeing. "Wands, she's already said she has enough pillows." Mama sighs, her own frustrations growing. "Yes, sorry you did." Mom apologises, slowly putting the pillow down she had in her hands.
"Can I get you anything else? Some food. Though the food here is pretty horrible. When you're back home, I'll make sure to cook you something tasty with the food you're allowed to eat." She starts to ramble. I'm not going to lie, that does sound amazing, and I'd kill for a bowl of paprikash right now. I remember when mom taught me how to cook it. It was one of the last memories I have of us spending quality time together.
I don't realise I'm smiling until I see both my parents looking at me warmly. I quickly shake it off, not wanting to let them think that I'm enjoying this in the slightest. "You know what. A sandwich would be good." I say, taking them both by surprise. I've not been very talkative, but I could do with a break right now. I know I won't be able to get rid of both of them, but I can at least take a break from mom fussing.
"Of course. I'll go and make you something up and bring it down. The bread is always dry here." She speaks, grabbing a couple of things and turning to leave. "Maybe I'll check with Cho if you could have a smoothy." She mumbles, making mama chuckle as she leaves.
I let out a breath of relief. I feel slightly less suffocated. But I am still very aware of mama's eyes boring into me. I'm used to her being quiet. She always observes, making her conclusions before talking when it's necessary. But seeing her now, it feels different. I'm pretty good at reading people and I can tell that she is lost in her own thoughts. I've only seen her like it a couple of times before and it's been after particularly difficult missions. Ones that bring up bad memories for her.
I grab the TV remote and try and find something to watch. I end up with Rizzoli and Isles on. I don't really watch it, but the sound is helping to break the awkward silence. Just after they break the case in the show, I notice mama sit more upright in her seat.
"When I found you in Hydra, I knew instantly that I wanted to help you. There was something about you that melted my heart. When we found out that you had no family to return you to, it wasn't even a question, I knew I was going to adopt you. In that short space of time, I had spent with you, I grew to love you." She starts. I don't look to her, my focus on the TV.
"Even though you had been through so much, you had this happiness around you. You were grateful for everything and found the joy in the smallest thing. I just wanted to give you a life that you deserved. When I married Wanda, I was so happy that I could give you two loving parents." From the corner of my eye, I can see her smile tearily as she picks at the skin around her fingers.
"I failed you Y/n. When I adopted you, I promised that I would be the best parent to you. That you would never want for anything. What's worse, is I never even noticed what I was doing. What we were both doing. I've always prided myself on being able to read people, but I couldn't see the damage I was doing to my own daughter." She continues, pain evident in her voice.
"I wish I could go back in time to change how we acted with you. To include you fully with the twins, to support you in your work in the Shield Programme. To show that even with the boys, you were loved and an integral part of this family. All I can do is apologise and promise that we are not going to let that happen again." She finishes, finally look up to me, a couple of tears falling down her cheeks.
"It's been years. We're not just talking about a couple of months here." I speak up, still not able to lock eyes with her. "Steve became more of a parent for me than the two of you." I admit, and that seems to make mama's heart break a little more. "Is it because I'm not biologically yours and moms?" I ask, my voice shaking.
Mama is quickly to her feet and takes my hand in between both of hers. "No. Of course not Detka, and I will forever hate myself that I've allowed you to think otherwise." She tries to reassure me, a panic in her eyes. "I wish I could give you a reason for why we acted like we did. Initially, it was because we were so focused on the boys, but after that, I have no idea. I wish I could pinpoint why, maybe it would make this all easier. I know you probably don't believe it, but I love you as much as those boys. Blood doesn't matter to me. You are my daughter as much as they are my sons. I know and feel that through every fibre of my body." She expresses. The sincerity is evident in both her voice and facial expressions. "Saying sorry isn't going to fix this. You only knew what you were doing because I called you out on it. Had I not gotten shot, would you have made any effort to rectify what was wrong?" I question her, my anger growing.
"We wanted to. We were planning on taking you to breakfast to talk and work out a way that we could make things right with you. But you had gone, and we couldn't get to you. You have a lot of people at Sheild that love you." She chuckles humourlessly. That is true. Maria is like an aunt to me and her and Fury happily kept my room allocation secret, "Look, I know that we don't deserve your forgiveness, but it doesn't mean that we are going to stop trying." She states firmly.
"It's not that simple mama. I have learnt to live without you now and I've got my own place with Shield. We can both move on with you getting your perfect biological family and I get the career I want." I say, but that only makes mama cry more. "No, our family is only perfect if you are in it too!" She almost shouts, but she's quick to calm herself down. "Look, we've got to live together through your recovery, let's just see how things go after that ok." She proposes. "Fine, but I can't promise anything will change." I respond and she nods. "I know. But I'm going to try everything to earn your forgiveness." She comes back with a newfound confidence.
We fall back into a silence, one that feels more comfortable. Mama looks less stressed, but her brow is still furrowed. When mom returns, the quiet is broken again, despite mama trying to get her to calm down. I try not to smile when she tucks a loose strand of hair behind my ear. I miss this caring side of my parents so much. But for me, it's too little, too late.

if you felt comfortable would you write the KBU au with steve and reader during/just after the birth of avery? 🥺
kisses before dinner —you and steve have a baby. mom!reader, 1.1k
Just like that, Steve's a dad.
He wonders if he's supposed to feel different, and he does in little ways. Exhausted, worried, and unbearably happy —the kind of happiness to make your ribs hurt— Steve is feeling a hundred layers of emotion right now, but it isn't his emotion that takes centre stage, it's yours.
You've been stiff with panic since your contractions started, and while that panic turned to happy tears the moment they laid her on your chest, you're looking at the baby like you're terrified of her, stiffness returned. Genuine fear.
"Come on," he says softly, leaning down to kiss your forehead. "She's not half as ugly as we worried."
She's beautiful. Steve's legs hurt after all these hours of standing by your side, and he can't bear to look away from the baby's face, her face, and it doesn't matter. You're his priority. He juggles these two things as he assumes he'll be juggling them for the rest of his life, happily if clumsily.
"Please smile, honey," he says.
You relax almost imperceptibly with his murmuring. "I am smiling."
"You're grimacing. Ten dollar word." He crouches and steps back enough for you to see his face clearly. "Are you happy? Like, truthfully?" he asks, knowing 'truthfully' isn't a word he says. Accusing the new mother of his child of lying feels a bit dick-ish, though.
"Of course I'm happy."
"It's okay if you're not happy. I'm not happy if you're not happy, I'm–"
"Steve." Your smile is sad in a way, but your eyes aren't half as scared as they were. "I am happy, I'm just worried. No more trial run… I'm a mom."
"You're a mom." He doesn't mean to say it with the world's cheesiest smile. "I didn't know they made 'em like you, I would've started chasing moms years ago."
You laugh. He's always loved your laugh because it's yours, and it couldn't come at a better time, not even when you were pushing. None of them sounded as happy as this one. "I'm a mom," you say, still laughing.
"I know." He leans in to dash a kiss against your cheek. You perk up at the attention, so he does it twice more.
“This is gonna be so fun,” you say.
His heart rears to explode. Steve puts one hand on yours under the weight of the baby and the other behind your shoulder. “Just don't let me drop her,” you say.
“My hand’s already there.”
“Okay. I love you. Are you sure?”
“Don't freak out.” He thinks so many things in that moment but the loudest is, aw, my girl. “You're good, babe, I love you. This is gonna be fun, just like you said. We're gonna love it.”
Steve sits on the side of the bed and holds you like that for a while. You relax at the support and watch the baby's little face in sleep. She has the most dainty face Steve has ever seen in person. She's so, so small. He kinda thought she'd be bigger considering the whole nine month gestation period and all your aches and pains, but she's perfect. He could fit her in two hands.
“Avery,” you say.
You picked it out together ages ago. Seeing her now cements it. “Avery,” he repeats happily, failing to resist the urge to touch her face again.
You need time to recover and thankfully, the nurses and doctors haven't rushed the process. You're clean but in pain, and Steve gets to hold the baby by himself while you change.
“Can I help?” he asks, watching you wince. You barely want to stand.
“No, just hold her.”
“She won't break if we put her down. She's safer in the bassinet anyways,” he says.
Your eyes spark with panic as he goes to stand, so he sits, and he chews his cheek raw while you struggle into fresh clothes.
A knock on the door startles you both. “Hello? Y/N? Steve?” Robin's scratchy voice echoes through the door. Her excitement is unmissable.
“Yeah, Rob!”
She opens the door carefully but enters the room less so. There's so much stuff hanging from the crooks of her elbows she can hardly carry it. “Hey! Oh my god, hey! Is that her? Of course it's her. Is she okay? She's okay, are you okay?” She turns her gaze on you. “Holy shit, do you need help?”
You've only got a couple of buttons to do and the waistband of your pants to cinch, but Robin immediately drops all of her things to help you finish.
Steve shares his first private smile with his very first daughter. “She's not always like this,” he murmurs.
“How are you feeling?” Robin asks. She sounds treacherously concerned and overwhelmingly happy.
“Maybe she is,” he adds.
“I'm okay, Robin,” you say, reaching for her hand. “It hurts worse than people say. But it's over now.”
“Thank Jesus!” Robin finishes her buttoning and ties a deft bow with your drawstrings. “Come on, mom, let's get you back to bed. Jesus, Steve, you couldn't have helped her?” She's mostly kidding.
Steve lifts Avery. “She put me on baby duty.”
Robin almost trips over her bags trying to get to him. “Steve,” she says, as though this one word should be enough for him, planting herself by his side. It's been a long time since he bothered trying to put boundaries between them, he doesn't even want them, he's proud as he can be as he lowers the baby to give his best friend ample view of her. While she looks, he lifts his gaze to you where you limp back to the bed.
“Oh,” he says, “Rob, are you ready to hold her? Meet your niece. Arms out.”
Robin stammers but holds her arms out. Steve transfers Avery in her swaddle carefully as careful can be. “Hold her head, okay? Lean back.”
“Wait, you made this look easy. Steve–”
Your eyes are wide as he stands and turns away from the bed. “Steve,” you say.
“No more saying my name in this room, it's banned,” he says, putting his hands under your arms to make sure you're steady where you stand. You stop walking, pain in the line of your mouth. “Come on, honey. Let's get you back to bed.”
Your eyes shine with tears, but you don't cry. You use his arms to push back up onto the bed and shuffle slowly into position before you put your arms out. He leans in for a hug.
“Oh, Steve,” you say with a laugh, all soft and warm, having found the only exception to his new rule, “I wanted the baby back, honey.”
“I know,” he sighs.

jack request :))
the reader and jack have been together since they were both 17 having grown up together being best friends so she’s been there for everything with him, i know jack had a bad hit early this season i don’t remember exactly what game it was but the reader was there and remembers the last time he had the bad when he was a rookie and is extremely worrierd and rushed right off down the medical where there taking jack and jack definitely noticed her looking anxious when she walked into the room where they were checking on him and he just holds his hand out towards her and she is quick yo walking across the room holding his hand feeling his pulse and slowly calming down especially with jack thumb softly brushing her hand back and forth, maybe just a soft moment once the doctor leaves as she is still really worrried especially jack is injured and will probably be out for a few games but jack is also really sad so he just hurried his head against her stomach where stands next to him and she brushes her hands through his curls calming him down
oh! i love a good best friends to lovers trope. it's my fav! and i added a fun little happy ending.
so yes. reader and jack have been together for 6 years, he's working on proposing bc there's no one else he can picture in his life. especially after she stuck by him during his rookie year.
and she's so good with luke and helping him adjust to life in big leagues and just being a good eprson for advice.
but with with reader being there since jack's rookie season, she's been there through all of the injuries. after 4 years, you'd think she'd be used to it but she's not. she knows that injury is apart of the game but she still hates seeing jack get hurt.
when he took that big hit, she was freaking out. like pacing the wag suite and everything. checking ehr phone every 5 seconds waiting until she could go down and see him. brett's wife (or girlfriend idk if they're married or not) and toffoli's wife are trying to help keep her calm but it's not working.
she get's word that she can come down and see him and so she sprints down there. she immediately goes over and hugs him the best she can. they both let out breaths that they didn't know they were holding in.
jack says a bunch of reassuing words to her to help calm her down knowing how she gets when he gets hurt. he takes her hand and rubs his thumb across her knuckles to help calm her down and it does. he rests his head against her stomach letting her run her fingers thorugh his hair since it's something that calms the both of them.
he mumbles against he stomach, "marry me?"
"what?"
"marry me? this is totally not how i wanted to do this but i love you and i want to spend the rest of my life with you. you've been there supporting me through everything and i am so hopelessly in love with you that it isn't even funny. i have the ring and had a whole thing planned out but i don't care, just marry me?"
"yes. a million times yes. of course i'll marry you j."
they share a soft kiss and some happy tears before getting jack up and ready to go home. reader does say, "i'm not marrying you until after you get healed. and we're having a wedding and not just doing it at a court house."
"deal. i love you."
"i love you too j."

Hello! Can I request yandere chuuya with a fem reader he accidentally broke and now he’s trying so hard to un break her by letting her go outside and go shopping but little does he know she’s Been normal the whole time and it was all just an act so she tries escaping by chuuya catches her?
omg yes I love this idea. Tysm for the oneshot prompt btw!
Ok, this is kind of cringe but I had a lot of fun writing so fuck it
I hope you like it as much as I do
Warnings: Yandere, physical abuse, mentions of isolation, slight nsfw mention. I wanted to make it fluffy at the end, so you can read the end if you want or settle for when he beats you. let me know if I missed anything
Disclaimer: this fic is not romantisising Yandere behavior, it is fanfiction. If any of this is happening in real life, seek help, it's not romantic even if it's great in fanfiction.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
He didn't mean for this. He didn't mean for the punishment to go THAT far, and he certainly didn't mean to break you. Yet here you were, after all that screaming and crying you held an emotionless look on you're face, and he hated it.
He drags you outside, normally you're not allowed out of your room unless he's by your side, then you can wander the house, but you haven't been outside the penthouse for the last year! You were excited, but you had to maintain the façode of being broken.
When Chuuya sees that nothing has changed about the look on your face a wave of sadness washes over him. He missed how cheerful you used to be, how you would giggle over every dumb thing he did, how you were always so positive. Sure, sometimes his punishments were a little harsh, but you had a lot of fun together too! He racks his brain for anything he could do to get you back to your old self, then he comes up with what he hopes to be a good idea. He should take you shopping, girls like shopping don't they? Well he'll have to hope.
You both arrive at the mall, a fun place to spend your life savings. Lucky for you, Chuuya was rich, so you could spend as much as you wanted! The relief in Chuuyas eyes at the slight excitement in yours was adorable. Though, that excitement is gone as quick as it came, leaving him disappointed.
You almost slipped up! You were too excited at the thought of running around shopping you almost let your gaurd down! You desperately hope he didn't notice. As much as you would love to spend his money, running around like a little kid, but unfortunately (and fortunately) it was the perfect time to escape. You slip into the crowd while in the food court the second he looks away. Running to the nearest exit, strategically avoiding his gaze.
You guess you didn't do well enough, because when you bolt outside, you feel two strong arms wrap around you from behind. You look up in horror to see an angry chihuahua Chuuya glaring daggers at you, but... There is also a look of hurt in his eyes
"Why the hell did you try to escape huh?! To hurt me by pretending to be broken, only to hurt me more after I allowed you outside!! It'll be a long time before you ever go outside again. We're going home. Now." He tightly grabs your wrist, not caring about the amount of pain he's causing you, or how much you beg for him to forgive you. He throws you in the backseat of his car, slamming the door before driving the two of you home.
The night is certainly a long one, he's very rough despite you crying and begging, throwing you in the floor of the bedroom, fucking you and beating you til you pass out.
The next morning he felt bad about actions that night, and feels you've had enough punishment, so he'll cuddle you and pamper you. You get breakfast in bed and nothing but cuddles, apologies and words of praise, though, he still believes you deserved what came to you last night. He know you probably won't try to escape again after the hell he put you through, and even though he feels bad, he does not regret it...

Love's the Death of Peace of Mind | Bakugo Katsuki x Reader
Summary ~ For three years your life was great, then Katsuki said nine little words. Nine simple words. One singular sentence. And everything that happened after those nine fucking words were spoken? Absolute Hell.
Tags/Warnings ~ MDNI, some non-descript NSFW content, Fem!Reader, some fluff, on a scale we're lookin at mostly hurt accompanied by a little bit of comfort, heavy angst, angst w/a happy ending tho, potentionally triggering situations, mild description of injuries, !alternate ending- read note for info please!, idk what else to tag just comment if there's anything else <3
Note ~ Hey Lovelies, soo this fic is going to be long and it's going to be angstyyy. The word count is 16,667 words without the alternate ending, so buckle in, Lovelies! And just remember, I swear to you that this idea started out a lot smaller and a lot fluffier in my head. The plot just took over and churned out this monstrosity.
Now, onto addressing the alternate ending.. I think it's technically more of an extended ending that will crush your soul if you choose to read it. Do with that what you will, just know that I warned you. I put it below the second image divider, under the A/N..
Happy reading, My Lovelies! <3
Tumblr media
Maybe it was meant to be or maybe it wasn’t. You knew the parameters of his job, his still-budding career, his dream. You knew why your relationship was kept a secret from everyone. You had both agreed to keep it hidden and you were even happy about it. You enjoyed the privacy of it all.. No one butting in with opinions or teasing comments. No risks of having your daily life plastered all over various media. No threats upon your life from vengeful villains. It was just you and Katsuki living your best lives together, until..
“I’m goin’ on a mission out of the country.”
Those had been the first words out of Katsuki’s mouth when he had finally decided to break the brooding silence that he had been exercising since he stepped foot into your shared apartment.
He had gotten home from work, taken his shoes off, and went straight to your guys’ bedroom without uttering a single word to you. It had been mostly uncharacteristic of him, but you had just brushed it off as him having had a rough day and let it be. When he had finally chosen to speak, you were both halfway through the dinner you had made.
Your chopsticks had clattered to the table as something paralyzing and numbing had taken over your body. You had looked over at him, your eyes glassy and your hands shaking. Shock, fear, anger, and sadness had slammed into you like a brick wall and made everything heart-breakingly surreal. He was staring down at his plate, refusing to look at you, but his jaw was clenched and his hand had tightened around his chopsticks.
“Look, ya know that this-” he had begun to argue, begun to try to defend himself and his job, but you had cut him off.
“When do you leave?” You had asked in a voice that was far more calm and controlled than you had ever thought was possible in a moment like that.
It was then that his eyes had widened slightly and he met your gaze, his features softening a bit when he had noticed the barely contained tears that had built up on your lash lines.
“Two days.” He had stated in a quiet tone and a bit of guilt in his eyes.
“F-for ho-how long?” You had stuttered out as your poorly held together composure crumbled.
He was quiet for a moment, eyes roaming your face and taking you in, before he spoke again, “A year. Could be shorter, could be longer.”
You could tell that he was a bit surprised that neither of you were yelling or fighting about it, yet. But he also knew that you had always been someone who never let things get to that point, nor had you ever aided in his fuse blowing. You had always been his calm, his quiet, his serenity.
You had quietly nodded your head as you took in the information and attempted to process. You were mentally going over everything you both would have to do to prepare for his departure when he had spoken up, yet again.
“I,” he had started, albeit abnormally hesitantly, before continuing, “I don’t want you to wait for me.”
Your entire world had shattered, caught fire, fucking exploded, in that moment and you snapped.
“What the actual fuck are you talking about, Katsuki?” You questioned, your voice raised and harsh.
Katsuki had visibly winced before hardening his expression and body language. In the three years that you and him had been together you had never raised your voice at him let alone ever said his name like that. His face had shifted into a heated glare, something that he was very much familiar with.
“You fuckin’ heard me, Y/N! I don’t need you mopin’ around this place just fuckin’ waitin’ to see if I’ll message you or even return home! I- I’m cuttin’ you free! Free to do whatever the fuck you want! Free to party! Free to go out with whoever you want! Free to fuck whoever you want!” He had viciously spat out, his voice raised to a shout by the end of his explanation.
Your brain had stopped working as horrified shock had taken over your features and tears had flowed down your face. You were only knocked back into reality when Katsuki had slammed his fist down on the table as curses flew from his mouth.
“Do.. how.. You truly think so low of me?” You had asked, your voice quieted by immense hurt and disbelief. “You truly believe that I wouldn’t be able to handle you being away? That I would let myself just sit here in our apartment and rot?! You truly believe that I would want to be with or fuck anyone else?! Jesus fucking Christ, Katsuki! Do the last three fucking years not exist?! Do you not fucking know me at all?!” You had shouted back at him, your voice cracking and raw.
You had shattered completely after shouting, your face in your hands as gut-wrenching sobs tore from your mouth. A metallic tang on your tongue with every harsh exhale had told you just how much your vocal cords had suffered. It had felt like you were choking as you sat there trying to wrap your head around what the hell was going on.
“Kirishima and Mina will be here tomorrow to help get my stuff. They’re going to store it for me until I get back. I’ve already taken my name off of the lease, but paid for the next six months’ rent. I..” Katsuki had paused for a moment, his disconnected tone wavering ever-so-slightly before he cleared his throat. “This is what needs to happen, Y/N.” He had said with emotionless finality.
That had broken you even more, something you had thought impossible at the time, and overwhelming nausea had slammed into you. You had bolted from the table and barely made it to the bathroom before what little you had eaten at dinner made its reappearance. You had locked yourself in that bathroom for the rest of the night. Katsuki hadn’t knocked, hadn’t called out to you to see if you were okay. You had caught the few times he had lingered outside of the door, but he had just walked away silently each time.
That was four months ago.
Now, you do anything you can to not be in that godforsaken apartment that he had left you in.
Every time you’re there, memories of the day he left shred you into nothing. Flashbacks of numbly sitting on the couch watching him gather the small amount of items he had left in the apartment and placing them by the door. Flashbacks of watching him make his coffee and eat in silence. Flashbacks of shivering from the devastating cold that had settled into your bones, no matter the amount of layers you had thrown on. Flashbacks of him not looking at you once as he put his shoes on, picked up his bags, and left without uttering a single fucking word.
The click of the door shutting is an echo that haunts and breaks you every single time you step foot in that place.
So now you spend your nights at friends’ houses or in hotels. You throw yourself into working or meaningless tasks. You fill all of your freetime with hobby after hobby. You do absolutely anything and everything you can because if you stop for one fucking second, then all of your thoughts go back to him.
Is this what he wanted for you?
You know about and pointedly ignore worries thrown your way. You dismiss the questions from friends and family about your sudden change in pace and mental state.
“Are you alright, Y/N?”
“Why are you working yourself so hard?”
“What are you constantly rushing around for?”
“Are you sleeping okay? Those dark circles are a bit concerning..”
“Has something happened?”
“Y/N, are you doing okay?”
Are you doing okay?
You force your happy facade back into place as you look at your reflection in the doors of the elevator. Ignoring all of the physical signs of you not being okay, you paint a smile on your face when you hear the ding alerting you of your arrival to the requested floor. Freshly baked goodies in hand, you step out of the elevator, your eyes searching for the door number you want. Finally seeing and getting up to the aforementioned door, you take a deep breath and knock. It takes a moment or two, but eventually the door opens.
“Hey, Izuku! I had some time and thought I’d drop by to give you these!” You greet cheerfully, holding up the bags of baked goods. “There’s, uhm, there’s.. Shit, what did I make, again..” You fumble and look down into the bags to remember what all you had baked.
Your memory comes back to you and with a triumphant grin, you look back up at Izuku, “Right! There’s some mochi, chocolate chunk cookies, uhm, red bean-”
“Y/N,” Izuku says your name softly, but in a way that feels offending-ly like pity and your words come to a dead-stop.
“Please don’t speak to me like that.” You quietly grit out, your hands gripping the handles of the bags tightly as your eyes fall to the floor, your stare boring holes into Izuku’s socked feet.
A sigh is exhaled through Izuku’s nose before he reaches out and gently grabs your shoulder, bringing you into his apartment. You let him guide you inside, your facade cracking a bit and letting your heavier emotions through to slump your body language. The door clicks shut behind you and you unintentionally flinch at the soft noise. Scarred hands come into your vision and gently take the bags from your still clenched ones.
Izuku is one of the only people who knows about your.. situation, other than Kirishima and Mina. You hate that anyone knows, but you especially hate that Izuku knows. You hate it because the only reason he knows is due to the letter that Katsuki had delivered to him the day he left. The letter that Izuku refuses to let you read. The letter that your green-haired friend refuses to even talk about with you any more than it stated to look after you.
The day Katsuki had left, Izuku had shown up not long after the blonde had closed the door. Izuku had let himself in using the key, Katsuki’s key, that had been in the envelope with the letter. You hadn’t moved from your spot on the couch. The green-haired hero had found you just sitting there staring at the wall with tears dripping from your face.
It was Izuku who had cleaned up Katsuki’s mess. It was Izuku who had quietly found a washcloth and dampened it, then used it to gently wipe your face. It was Izuku who had forced you to eat buttered toast and drink some water. It was Izuku who had sat there in the blaring silence with you until you ultimately passed out from the exhaustion of it all.
“Y/N,” Izuku calls your name softly, once again, bringing you back to the present. You look up to see him holding the bags you have yet to let go of with a small, albeit sad, smile.
“You can let go of these now, thank you.” He says gently as he slowly pulls the bags further toward himself. With a small nod, you finally relinquish your grasp on the bags. A slightly stuttered breath leaves your lungs before you straighten up and paint a smile on your face.
“My bad, sorry about that!” You say with a huff of forced laughter.
“Have you eaten today?” Izuku asks with a knowing tone as he makes his way to his kitchen. Your jaw clenches out of irritation and it’s only made worse when a sharp pang from your stomach hits.
“I have.” You lie, kicking off your shoes and moving to follow him, ignoring the way your body trembles slightly and how the room spins a bit when you move too fast.
“Well, I was just about to make dinner. How about you join me?” Izuku says, his question coming out as more of a statement even with the cheery lilt of his voice.
“I would love to but I’ve got, ya know, some stuff to do still, so-” You ramble out as you back-track toward your shoes and the door. You cut yourself off when you feel a warm static wrapping around your wrist and you stop walking. Looking down, you see a tendril of Blackwhip gently pulling you back toward the kitchen and you let out an irritated huff.
“Sit down for a bit, Y/N. How does katsudon sound?” Izuku’s annoyingly kind voice asks as another tendril of Blackwhip pulls out a chair for you.
With a tired sigh, you plop yourself down into the chair and grumble out, “Sounds good.”
~~~
Izuku listens closely for a few moments, standing at his cracked bedroom door. When he doesn’t hear anything more than the electrical humming of the apartment, he closes the door as quietly as he can. He makes his way to his bed and grabs his phone off of the nightstand, turning it on and navigating through apps.
After going through the extensive security process of the HPSC Communications app, he pulls up Katsuki’s file. Getting to the call function, Izuku presses it with almost no hesitation, then brings the phone up to his ear.
“The fuck are ya risking a call for, Nerd?” Katsuki’s agitated tone demands when the call connects after a few rings.
“Hello to you too, Kacchan.” Izuku says quietly while rolling his eyes.
“Cut the fuckin’ pleasantries, Izuku. You already know these damn calls can’t be long. Also, why the fuck are you whispering?” Katsuki, once again, demands. Though, he sounds more tired now than anything else.
“Y/N came by today, ended up crashing here for the night. Hopefully, she’s sleeping but I don’t want to risk her hearing me talking to you..” Izuku quietly explains, wincing slightly at how bluntly it all came out. Silence fills the call at the mention of you and Izuku tries to suppress his frustrations with his childhood friend.
“She’s.. she’s not doing well, Kacchan. If her physical state is anything to go off of, she’s losing it. She’s lost more weight, the bags under her eyes could pass as bruises, her mental stability is practically nonexistent-” Izuku says, diving into his reason for calling when he’s cut off.
“Goddammit, Izuku! The fuck do you want me to do?! I can’t come home! Not that I think that it would help any! Every fucking ‘update’ you give me does nothing! I know what I did was shitty! I know that! But I can’t do anything to change or fix things right now, so what the hell do you want from me?!” Katsuki shouts from his end of the call making Izuku wince and hold the phone away from his ear.
Sighing heavily at Katsuki’s angered breathing coming through the speaker, Izuku defeatedly replies, “You told me to give you updates, Kacchan, and I’m doing that. I don’t know what you should do with the information I give you and I know how you feel about what you did. I.. I’m just worried about her.”
Izuku runs a hand through his hair, letting out another sigh before continuing, “If she keeps going like this.. she’s going to-”
“Don’t.” Katsuki speaks up, his voice quiet and shaking slightly. “Don’t finish that fucking sentence, please Izuku. I can’t.. If she.. Just, don’t.”
“I’m sorry, Kacchan.. Obviously, I’m going to keep doing my best to keep an eye on her, but.. I can only do so much.” Izuku says quietly, defeat and helplessness churning his mind.
“I know, Nerd.. thanks.” Katsuki grumbles out, but his gratitude is still felt by Izuku.
“So, how’s the mission going?” Izuku asks awkwardly, changing the subject.
~~~
You wake up the next morning, taking a few moments to gaze around the room you’re in and remember where you are. Rolling onto your back, you yawn as you take in the familiarity of the guest room of Izuku’s apartment. You’ve spent more than a few nights (and days) in this room within the last four months, so much so that some of your clothes take up space in the closet. You hate feeling like you’re imposing on Izuku every time you spend the night, but you are eternally grateful for his friendship.
Letting out a sigh, you stare blankly up at the ceiling as a cold, numbing feeling sinks into your body. You don’t want to move. You don’t want to exhaust yourself anymore by pretending to be okay. You just want to lay in bed and rot. But you can’t because that’s what Katsuki expected you to do and you can’t let him be right.
Ignoring the beginning ache of a headache from crying multiple times throughout the night, you heave your body out of the bed. Slowly, you shuffle your way to the bathroom and try, very desperately, to find the energy to put together your facade of happiness. The smell of food cooking floats through the air and a small, appreciative smile pulls at your lips.
Finishing up your business in the bathroom, you make your way to the kitchen. You find Izuku humming quietly as he scoops rice into two separate bowls. Also spotting two steaming bowls of miso soup, you feel your stomach rumble a bit.
“Good morning, Izuku!” You greet happily as you walk up next to him.
“Oh, good morning, Y/N! I was actually about to come see if you were awake yet! You have good timing!” Izuku says with a warm smile as he hands you a bowl of rice and a bowl of soup.
“Woke up a few minutes ago,” you lie, not wanting to talk about the thirty minutes you spent mentally rotting. “Thanks for breakfast!” You say with a smile as you seat yourself at the island.
“Of course!” Izuku says with his signature smile as he sits next to you. “Any plans for the day?” He asks after a few bites of food.
You internally sigh, trying to conjure up a list of to-do’s to keep your day off from work as busy as it can be, “Uhm, I have to stop by the grocery store since I used up a lot of ingredients making a bunch of baked goods.. Akari is in for quite a surprise when they open their fridge if they haven’t already..” You say with a bit of nervous laughter.
“Ah, you’ve been staying with them, lately? How are they doing?” Izuku asks politely, though underneath, he’s still concerned that you refuse to stay in your own apartment.
“They’re doing well.. but, I think that they’re getting a bit, uhm, overwhelmed by my various hobbies, haha..” You say with a tinge of guilt as you nervously stir your soup.
Izuku sends you a reassuring smile, “I’m sure they would let you know if they were feeling overwhelmed. You know.. You still have your own apartment-”
“Izuku. You know that I just can’t-”
“Just hear me out, Y/N. I know that it still causes you pain being back there, but maybe it’ll help heal you if you go back and take the place back as your own.” Izuku advises, his tone calm yet slightly pleading. “Buy yourself some plants, rearrange the furniture, paint the walls, do something to make it different than when Katsuki was there. I don’t mean to sound harsh, but you’ve barely been there over the last few months. Realistically, you either need to start living there again or break the lease before you have to start paying rent again.” He finishes with a look of worry on his face.
You go deathly quiet, just staring intensely down at your food as your hand grips your spoon. You know that he’s right and that he would never try to hurt you by bringing up Katsuki.. But that doesn’t keep the pain in your chest from spreading. You let out a shaky sigh, your appetite completely disappearing, and you stand to clear your place.
“I should really change and head out, but thank you, Izuku. I’ll message you later.” You say stoically as you rinse your dishes, then leave the kitchen.
Getting back to the guest room you change quickly and gather your stuff. You fix up the guest room, taking the time to bring the bedding to the laundry room and put it in the washing machine. Finally, you head for the door to put your shoes on and Izuku hovers near you, guilt written all over his face.
“You can stop acting like a kicked puppy, Izuku,” you sigh out as you straighten up from tying your shoes. “I know you meant well earlier and I.. I’ll think about what you said, okay? I appreciate you caring about me at all in the first place.” You finish softly and step forward to hug him.
Izuku lets out a relieved breath and wraps his arms around you, “I’m still sorry for being so.. blunt earlier. I just worry about you, that’s all. I don’t have any siblings but after getting to know you over the last four months, you’re like a sister to me. I’m here for you whenever you need, okay?” He says softly, then kisses the top of your head.
You nod against him, emotion clogging your throat, and give him one last squeeze before you both release each other. You shoot him a wobbly smile before you open the door and step out into the hall, making your way to the elevator.
A few hours later, you’ve restocked your friend’s fridge and pantry with all of the items you used up while manically baking. They told you that you didn’t have to, but there was no way you weren’t going to replace it all when they’ve been letting you live at their house for the last week and a half. Eventually, they ask if you’ll be staying again tonight but you shake your head and thank them for being so amazing to you. With that, you gather up all of your stuff and pack it into your car before getting into the driver’s seat.
‘Izuku was right. I need to do this. I need to do it tonight before I have the chance to overthink myself out of it.’ You state to yourself as you start your car. You drive in silence the whole way to your apartment, your grip on the steering wheel white-knuckled.
Once you get to your apartment complex, your white-knuckled grip transfers from your steering wheel to your bags as you grab them from the trunk of your car. Your body trembles and your mind goes distant as you ride the elevator up to your apartment. Your stomach sinks and your heart begins to race as the elevator ascends. Finally, it stops and the doors open to the floor that you are so painfully familiar with. Your keys nearly fall from your sweaty hand as your trembles increase with each step toward your door.
The sound of them hitting the floor doesn’t register in your brain as you walk up to your cracked-open apartment door. Your bags join your keys on the floor as you, admittedly stupidly, push open the door. Reality slams back into your blank mind when your eyes meet those of some stranger who's standing in your living room. Fear pours over you like a bucket of ice water and you just fucking freeze.
Suddenly, pain explodes from the back of your head, your thoughts of what you should fucking do disappearing before any sort of move could be made, and everything fades to black.
~~~
Izuku checks his phone for what feels like the millionth time today and frowns at the lack of notifications from you. With a frustrated and concerned huff, he stuffs his phone back into his pocket.
“You’ve been checking your phone all patrol, bro. Everything okay?” Kirishima asks from beside Izuku.
Izuku wasn’t supposed to work today, but a hero never truly has a day off and he was called in to cover Mina’s patrol slot with Kirishima.
Izuku runs a hand through his hair, “I haven’t heard from Y/N all day. She crashed at my place last night and left this morning after I had basically told her to go back home to her apartment and try moving on with her life. I had apologized before she left and she didn’t seem mad, but even if she was she would have messaged me by now. On top of all of that, I have this weird pit in my stomach and danger sense won’t leave me alone and I don’t know what to make of it-”
“Woah, bro, okay calm down. Tell you what, let’s finish up our patrol, then I’ll come with you to check up on her. Where’s she staying this time?” Kirishima calmly, and a bit concernedly, plans out after cutting off Izuku’s panicked ramble.
“She mentioned this morning that she’s been staying with Akari, lately. Hopefully, she’s still at their place.” Izuku mumbles out distractedly as he checks his phone, yet again.
“Okay, we’ll go straight to their apartment once we finish up at the agency.” Kirishima says with a pit of worry starting to churn in his own stomach.
The pair rush through their end-of-shift tasks once they get back to the agency and soon they are seated in Kirishima’s car heading for Akari’s apartment. While giving directions from the passenger seat, Izuku texts and calls your phone, getting met with no answers each time. His stress and worry levels only increase with each missed call and he can only pray that you’re sleeping.
They pull into the parking lot of your friend’s apartment complex, Kirishima barely locking his car before Izuku is rushing off. The pair of heroes get up to the door of Akari’s apartment, Izuku knocking as politely as he can in his increasing panic. When the door finally opens, it’s only a confused Akari standing there wondering where the hell the fire is.
Akari tells the two heroes that you had packed up all of your stuff and left hours ago. Izuku’s stomach drops at this new piece of information and his mind jumps to worst case scenarios. His biggest fear is that you returned to your apartment, decided that it was all too much, and did something to yourself. A rational fear given your severe mental instability the last few months, but still an overly terrifying thought. As Izuku and Kirishima get back into the red-heads car, Izuku mentally berates himself for not accompanying, or at the very least getting ahold of you, earlier.
Kirishima speeds through traffic, his grip on the steering wheel near crushing. He feels extremely guilty for not keeping up with you as much as he should have since Katsuki left. He just figured that you wouldn’t want to talk to him because of his part in the whole situation with him holding onto Katsuki’s things. He’s mostly been getting updates on your well-being from Izuku, an admittedly cowardly move from the man who loves to preach about “manliness.”
Kirishima shoves down his guilt and worry driven nausea as he weaves his car through traffic. He’s just as worried as Izuku over the thought that you’ve done something to yourself. He isn’t sure how he’d ever be able to look Izuku, or Katsuki, in the eye again if they find you injured or dead in that apartment. He would never be able to forgive himself for playing a part in your pain.
“Eijiro! Are you coming or not?!” Izuku’s frustrated voice breaks Kirishima from his clouded mind, the red-head just now registering that they’ve arrived at your apartment complex. The two rush through the lobby of the complex and anxiously wait for the elevator to bring them to the floor your apartment is on.
The doors open and they barrel out of the elevator, practically running for your door. Izuku gets to it first and stops dead in his tracks when he finds your door wide open. Barely stepping through the doorway the green-haired hero spots the small pool of blood on the floor and his emotions surge through him.
“Damn it!” He shouts in frustrated anguish as he steps over it to search the rest of the apartment.
Kirishima follows behind him, stomach acid burning at the back of his throat. Neither of them find any other trace of you beside your bags haphazardly tossed aside on the floor. It’s Kirishima that notices first that there is stuff missing from the apartment. He grabs Izuku by the shoulders and shakes him a bit to get him focused, Izuku growling and about to go off when he sees the look in Kirishima’s eyes.
“Don’t touch anything else.” Kirishima states ominously. “Izuku.. This.. this is a crime scene.” The red-head finishes with a sad look in his eyes and Izuku’s entire being goes numb.
~~~
When consciousness comes back to you it’s slow and everything is blurry. Your head aches badly, your body feels heavy in its forced sitting position, and there’s something in your mouth. Your vision clears for the most part, aside from the slight spinning of the room if you shift your eyes too fast, and what you see makes your panic spike up painfully.
Firstly, you’re tied to a chair in the middle of a dimly lit room, possibly in some sort of abandoned building. There’s a man off to your left sitting at what seems to be an old desk and another man, a bit further to the right of the room, at the doorway. The man at the desk is clicking through files of a laptop, seemingly searching for something. It’s only when the man briefly goes to the main desktop screen that you realize it’s your laptop, the background being a photo of you and Katsuki together. Your stomach lurches and your heart sinks as a whimper escapes you, muffled by the gag in your mouth.
Your whimper catches the attention of both men and both of them look at you with smiles filled with malicious intent. Tears of fear prick at your eyes as the one at the desk tells the other to “go get Boss” and takes a tablet from his hands. A tablet that you realize is also yours judging by the customized Dynamight themed case.
The throbbing coming from the back of your skull gets worse as your breaths increase and you cry harder. You aren’t sure what they could be looking for on your laptop and tablet, you’ve always been extremely careful in burying any information that pertains to Katsuki’s job. Files tucked away within the depths of technology, locked up with passwords you’ve long forgotten and encrypted.
“So the princess woke up, huh?” A taunting voice startles you out of your thoughts and you watch a tall man enter the room with the man who was guarding the door following behind him. You mask your fear by glaring at the man as he casually strides up to you with a smirk on his face.
“Come now, princess, don’t be like that. Such an ugly look on such a pretty face.” The man coos out, condescending and sickeningly sweet.
You curse him out but your voice is once again muffled by the gag in your mouth. The man simply laughs at you as he pulls up a chair, its metal legs scraping harshly against the old laminate flooring. You cringe at the noise but manage to maintain your glare as the man sits down in front of you. His elbows rest on his knees, his hands clasping together around a phone and he leans forward to rest his chin on the top edge of it. His eyes look over your form as a twisted smile sits on his face.
“So you’re the great Dynamight’s secret little bitch.” The man states, not questions, but states. Your heart rate picks up and your glare falters slightly, making the man’s smile widen.
“I can see why he kept you so well hidden! You’re a real looker, ain'tcha? Smile so sweet it’s nearly tooth-rotting,” he continues, but now he’s opened the phone and is scrolling through picture after picture of you and Katsuki. Your glare crumbles completely as tears begin flowing from your eyes from both fear and pain over your past. Your eyes fall to your lap and your jaw clenches against the thick fabric in your mouth as you cry.
“God, where are my manners? Here I am telling a lady about how pretty she is and I haven’t even introduced myself! I’m terribly sorry, Y/N! My name is Isamu, but you may know me as Shadow Step.” Isamu- Shadow Step says with a sinister smirk and your body goes shock-still. Memories hit your pounding brain and bile rises in the back of your throat.
Shadow Step was a notorious human trafficker that would get his victims by getting them alone then using his Quirk to take them away. Once he was captured, it was discovered that his Quirk was teleporting through shadows, which was why he only struck at night. Katsuki was the leader of the team that finally took down Shadow Step and his operation. That was only a year ago, so how the hell is he back out on the streets?
“You know, you really played your part well in making all of this come full circle, princess. We were already planning on hunting you down after what we discovered at your apartment, but then you just showed up! Served yourself up to us on a golden platter! It’s honestly laughable how well things played out!” Shadow Step says with maniacal cheer, a slightly deranged laugh falling from his lips.
“Anyway, princess, you’re gunna help us with a little project. Nothing too crazy, just a little video to help bring your favorite little hero out of the shadows. Keishi, Reiji, get the princess dolled up for her role while I get the camera set up.” Shadow Step says more seriously as he stands up before ordering his two lackeys around.
One of them pulls Shadow Step’s chair away as the other roughly tugs down the gag from your mouth. Your body begins trembling and you hate how useless your Quirk is at this moment. It’s a low-level, and admittedly weak, nature-type Quirk; Vine Manipulation. You can only use it if there are vine-type plants near you and even then you can’t do anything substantial with the vines.
The two men, Keishi and Reiji, stand in front of you wearing twin sinister and sick smiles. Looking up at their faces, you’ve never felt fear like this before. Never felt such an overwhelming sense of impending doom and dread.
“Ready for your makeover, bitch?” One of them asks right before slapping you, hard. You cry out in pain, the side of your face tingling and on fire, echoes of the slap and your cry ringing out in the room.
The two take turns delivering blow after blow, ignoring your pleas to stop and your depserate cries for help. By the time Shadow Step tells them to stop your cheek has swelled up as well as one of your eyes. Blood drips from your lips while more runs down your face from the split skin above one of your eyebrows. You’re pretty sure they broke at least a couple of your ribs if the sharp pains every time you breathe are anything to go by. Tears still spill from your eyes, mixing with your blood and creating pinks rivulets that trail down your cheeks, chin, and neck.
You’re on the verge of passing out from all of the pain when Shadow Step bends down and makes himself face level with you, “I gotta say, princess, you look a lot prettier like this. You ready for your time on the big screen?”
You let out a pained and pathetic whimper that he merely chuckles at, “Your job is to just sit here and be quiet. You fail to do that and you really won’t like what happens. Got it, princess?” He says, his tone threatening and deadly. You nod weakly, whimpering when he pats your cheek a bit harder than necessary.
Shadow Step turns toward the camera, stepping up to it so that his body blocks yours out in the viewfinder screen of the camera. He motions for one of his goons to hit record and his little show begins.
“This is a message for the Heroes of our society,” Shadow Step begins in a calm, even tone with an easy smile on his face.
“I am looking for Pro Hero Dynamight, he and I have a little score to settle. I’ve come to understand that he is on a mission out of the country right now, so I need the rest of you little Heroes to help get this message to him. If he isn’t back by the end of the week, then I’ll kill the little number sitting behind me.” He states as he steps back to reveal your tied up and beaten form in the viewfinder.
“Who knew Dynamight had himself a girlfriend, I’m sure none of you did! Poor thing has been so scared since I brought her here, but as you can see I’ve been treatin’ her real well! Anyway, enough theatrics,” Shadow Step says, his face turning serious and his tone dropping low and threatening.
He pulls a gun out from behind his back and points it at you while his face is turned to the camera, “If you don’t think I’m being serious about this, then you’re dead wrong. You have four days, Dynamight.” He states in a deadly tone before pulling the trigger.
A scream tears from your throat before you could stop it as white-hot flames of pain flood your body. Your left shoulder jerks as the bullet pierces through it and your vision nearly blackens out. You dry heave and choke on cries of immense pain as the camera zooms in on your form, unbeknownst to you. You barely hear the dark laughter falling from the mouths of the three men over the ringing of your ears and your consciousness, along with your body, gives out plunging you into cold darkness.

The video ends, the final frame being a zoomed-in image of you slumped over unconscious in the chair you’re tied to, blood already soaking the fabric of your shirt. The silence in the room is suffocating and Izuku has to consciously fight to rein in his rage. The fleeting thought of just how to tell Katsuki about this crosses his mind before his attention is brought back to the meeting.
“As was stated earlier, the video was posted a couple of hours ago. We don’t have any leads yet on where the location of filming was nor just how exactly Shadow Step managed to escape imprisonment. It has also not been confirmed as to whether or not the girl has any connection to Dynamight-” A HPSC representative explains before being cut off.
“Her name is Y/N L/N. She is Kacch- Dynamight’s girlfriend. They kept their relationship a secret because they feared something like this happening. Even if she was just a civilian without a connection to Kacch- Dynamight, she would still be just as much a priority rescue.” Izuku grits out, the rage-filled look on his face daring the HPSC rep to say anything countering his statement.
Instead, the rep just swallows nervously and nods their head, “Y-yes, of course. Thank you, Deku. A-alright, with that confirmation the HPSC will notify Dynamight of the event. The Directors will decide if they want to take him off of his mission or not-”
“Are you serious?!” Izuku’s head whips over to Kirishima at the red-head’s outburst. “You heard that psycho! If Bakugo doesn’t come home, then that bastard is going to kill her!” Kirishima rages, one of his clenched fists slamming down on the table.
“R-Red Riot, I-I assure you that the Directors already have a plan in the works. It’s why you all have been brought into this meeting. I’ve been told to tell you that you five have been tasked with capturing Shadow Step.” The rep anxiously explains.
Izuku doesn’t miss the way they said what the mission was, though. Of course all the Commission cares about is having the Heroes find and put a stop to Shadow Step. To the Commission, it would be easy enough to explain it away or cover it up if you were to die before being rescued. To the Commission, saving a singular civilian such as yourself doesn’t take priority over capturing an escaped villain. To the Commission, you are nothing but collateral damage.
Izuku seethes where he is seated, his mind already working on the details of your rescue and cursing the Commission that he works for. He shares looks with the other four Heroes seated at the meeting table; Kirishima, Shinso, Jiro, and Tokage. The four reflect the determined expression Izuku sends them even though Shinso, Jiro, and Tokage all still seem to be in shock by the situation. Nobody had even an inkling that Katsuki Bakugo had anyone precious in his life other than his parents, and now the entire country knows.
The HPSC rep finishes up the meeting, letting Izuku and the other four Heroes know that the Commission would contact them with anything they find. A heavy silence follows the sound of the meeting room door closing, Izuku’s guilt laden thoughts waging war within his mind with the part of him that knows he couldn’t have predicted this.
“Do you really think that the Commission wouldn’t let Bakugo come home for this? Would.. would he even want to come home?” Kirishima meekly asks, sending Izuku a saddened and worried look.
“Hold on, why wouldn’t he want to come home? His girlfriend was kidnapped.” Jiro asks with a look of confusion.
“I’m not sure if they would let him come home, but if I know anything about Kacchan, it’s that he would find a way to get back here.” Izuku says with a heavy sigh, leaning forward to rest his elbows on the table and his hands coming up to rub over his face.
“As for their current relationship status.. Kacchan broke up with her before he left for his mission. At the time, he thought that it would be better for her to be single rather than sitting around waiting for him to come back. His thought process was wrong but his heart was in the right place, and he regrets what he did. I can confirm that he very much still cares.. still loves her.” Izuku explains, cringing slightly at the harshly judgemental expressions on Shinso’s and Jiro’s faces.
“I’m just surprised that asshole could find anybody who wants to be with him, but that’s besides the point. So, what’s the plan here? Considering the injuries she had in the video on top of the gunshot wound, she may not have four days.” Shinso says stoically, his words like a bucket of ice water down Izuku’s back.
“They could be holding her anywhere. The room in the video looked like some sort of abandoned office space, but do you know how many abandoned business buildings there are in Japan? Not to mention, they could have moved locations since putting out the video.” Tokage says with solemn exasperation, rubbing a hand on her forehead.
Izuku pinches his bottom lip in thought for a moment before straightening up and tapping the table’s surface, awakening the technology beneath the glass. He pulls up a map of Japan, locates your apartment building, and highlights the point.
“Okay, so this is where her apartment is located. Let’s have Shinso, Jiro, and Tokage check the abandoned buildings within a five mile radius. You three have better stealth skills than Kirishima and I. While you three search buildings, I’ll further analyze the video for any possible clues.” Izuku says, taking charge of the situation. Shinso, Jiro, and Tokage simultaneously nod and send him looks of determination.
“Kirishima, I need you to look back through your files and give us as much information on Shadow Step as you can. You were the only one out of the five of us that was part of the team that took him down the first time. We’ll all keep in contact via our own closed Comms frequency.” Izuku directs, a look of agreement on everyone’s faces.
“One thing we all know for sure is that Shadow Step acts at night, so everybody should go rest up if you can because we’ll be officially starting this mission at sunset.” Izuku finishes with hardened determination coloring his tone and face.

You’re not sure how much time has passed with your consciousness phasing in and out. Everything hurts; your head, your face, your shoulder, your ribs. You feel weak in every sense of the word but more so physically, barely being able to keep yourself sitting up. You’re still tied up, your muscles stiff and your neck seemingly stuck in its hung down position.
When you’re awake the voices of Shadow Step and his lackeys blearily echo in your ears. Whether they’re talking to you or to each other you're not sure. They’ve done the bare minimum to keep you breathing; wrapping a cloth around your shoulder to stem the bleeding and sticking an IV in your arm to keep you hydrated.
The spinning room is far too dizzying when you’re awake and the feeling of hopelessness drapes over your mind. It’s easier being asleep, easier letting your mind fall into the loss of consciousness that your body yearns for. So you let go of the fear and escape to the depths of your mind, your dreams offering a reprieve from the suffering you’re enduring.
Katsuki fakes a gag as the characters on TV kiss, cliche romantic melodies playing in the background as their kiss becomes more heated.
“This shit is so fucking cheesy I might actually die from cringing so hard.” Katsuki annoyedly rasps out.
You’re cuddled up to each other on the couch two movies into your weekly “Saturday Night Movie Marathon” and your chosen movie playing on the TV screen.
“I won’t deny that it’s cringe-worthy, but it’s all so cute, too! They’re so in looooovvvve!!” You gush with a giggle over Katsuki’s disgusted face when you look at him.
“Can’t believe you make me watch this shit. They’re all the same story, I don’t understand the appeal of it all. The main characters go back and forth for fuckin’ ever until they finally admit they love each other, then it’s end credits. It’s so damn dumb.” He grumbles out, then lets out an irritated sigh as he leans his head back onto the couch cushion.
With a roll of your eyes and your own sigh you look back at the TV with a small pout on your lips, “If you really hate these kinds of movies so much, you can just tell me to pick something different. I like genres other than ‘sappy-mushy-lovey-dovey-crap’, you know.”
Katsuki lightly pinches your side, huffing a laugh at the yelp you let out and the glare you send him, “Don’t be like that, Sweetheart. Ya know that I’m just messin’ with ya.” He murmurs into your neck as he trails light kisses along the column of your throat.
“Such a bully,” you mumble out as you tilt your head to give him better access.
“Mhm, but you love it, dontcha Sweetheart?” He says into your skin as his kisses get a bit more passionate.
Feelings stirring up within you begin clouding your mind as your breaths become airy and panted. A soft moan slips from your mouth when he kisses and lightly sucks on a particularly sensitive spot of your neck. His arms circle around your body, his hands slipping under your shirt and coming up to play with your breasts.
He pinches your hardened nipples and the airy words slip out of your mouth before you can stop them, “Ah, yes, love you, Katsuki.”
Katsuki’s ministrations come to a dead halt and your mind sobers up as shock fills you. Did you really just say that?! It’s not that you don't mean it, but more so that you two have only been together for a few months! You’re not sure if this is something Katsuki is ready for! What did you just do?! What the hell did you just d-
“I love you, too.” Katsuki whispers, his face buried in the crook of your neck and his hands clammy against your skin.
Tears well up in your eyes and everything feels so surreal, “You.. you don’t have to say it back if you’re not ready..” You whisper out as your heart races. Lifting his head from his hiding place, he gently urges you to turn around to face him. Your eyes scan over his flushed features and you take in the soft look he’s giving you.
“I love you too, Y/N.” He repeats himself with more surety in his tone and gentle determination on his face as he manages to maintain eye contact with you.
A few tears of happiness drip down your face and you surge forward, connecting your lips with his. Your arms wrap around his shoulders and you readjust your position to straddle him. The kiss turns into a heated makeout session with teeth nipping at bottom lips and tongues fighting for dominance.
The movie is forgotten as the heated passion rises between you both and soon enough there’s a pile of clothes on the floor. Pants, groans, and moans fill the air as your connected bodies move against each other. This was love-making in its truest form and you were lost in the ecstasy of it all. Both of you lost in showering one another with as much physical affection as you could show as you both worked each other toward the edge.
Laying on the couch wrapped up in each other in the afterglow of sex, you couldn’t imagine a lifetime where you didn’t love this man.
You snap to consciousness when sharp, white-hot pain shoots through your body from your shoulder. You send a weak glare to Reiji as he just looks down at you with a sick smile on his face. His hand squeezes your injured shoulder harder, his fingers digging into the hole in your flesh. Fresh blood saturates the cloth wrapped around your shoulder and you weakly cry out, pleading for him to stop. Fresh tears stream down your face and wish so desperately to go back to the times when you were in the safety of Katsuki’s arms.

Izuku can't get himself to relax, let alone get some rest. Flashes of your beaten form burn behind his eyelids and your pain-filled scream echoes around his mind. Guilt tears up his stomach and fear has bile sitting at the back of his throat. Sitting on his couch with the TV's low volume droning on in the background of his racing thoughts, he's suddenly brought back to the present when his phone starts ringing. Pulling it from his pocket his stomach drops when he sees the caller ID.. It's Katsuki.
Taking in a shaky breath, Izuku accepts the call and brings the phone up to his ear, “Kacchan.. I-I’m s-so sorry.. I.. I sh-should have d-” Izuku softly begins, stuttering as emotions clog his throat, but his apology is cut short.
“Izuku,” Katsuki whispers out and Izuku doesn’t recognize the hollow despondent tone his childhood friend has taken on.
“Kacchan?” Izuku’s voice cracks as he speaks, the sting of tears making him blink rapidly.
“The Commission sent me the video.. Wanted me to confirm that it was actually Shadow Step and not some imposter.. Like I’d actually know that somehow without fucking being there..” Katsuki pauses, a couple of labored breaths then a sniffle filling the silence before he speaks again.
“Th-they.. They didn’t even say anything about, Y/N.. I-I told them that I wanted to come home, that I need to come home, but they won’t take me off of this mission, Izuku.. They won’t let me COME HOME! Wha-what am I gunna do?! What sh-should I do?! I-I c-can’t let her- Wh-what if she- This can’t be- I-” Katsuki’s words descend into a muddled mess as his breathing picks up and even if they hadn't been friends for so long, Izuku could recognize a panic attack anywhere.
“K-Kacchan, you need to calm down. Slow your breathing, okay. Deep breaths, just copy me.” Izuku calmly coaches through the choked sobs wracking his chest.
“I.. can’t.. calm.. down..” Katsuki wheezes out, his anger and fear evident despite his inability to breathe properly.
It takes a while, but Izuku eventually gets Katsuki to even out his breaths, both of them left panting in the aftermath.
“She’s gunna die, Izuku, and it’s my fucking fault!” Katsuki openly sobs out, his voice breaking and full of anguish.
“We’re not going to let that happen, Kacchan. Listen to me! I will not let her die at the hands of that bastard! Just focus on getting back here, forget what the Commision wants.” Izuku says with steely, firm resolve.
“I won’t make it back in time, Izuku! It took me four fucking days to get out here! What if you guys can’t find her in time, huh?! The last fucking thing I ever said to her was that breaking up was best for both of us! She’ll die thinking I don’t fucking love her!” Katsuki shouts over the phone, his voice raw and breaking further as he crumbles down to nothing.
“I promise you that we will find her alive, Kacchan! Just get your ass back home as soon as you can, okay?” Izuku says firmly, trying desperately to reassure Katsuki.
An hour later, Izuku hangs up his phone with a long, exhausted sigh. It had taken him longer than expected to bring Katsuki back to more rational thinking. Coupled with the task of trying to get Katsuki to trust that Izuku and his team will find you, it’s safe to say that Izuku is beyond tired. But there isn’t any more time to rest because it’s time for Izuku to meet back up with the other four Heroes on his team.
Izuku arrives back at the meeting room from earlier in the day just after Kirishima. The two of them only have to wait a few minutes before the other three Heroes on their team walk in and Izuku is quick to get into the details of their tasks.
“This map has been linked with the ones on your phones. Pinpoints of all of the abandoned buildings within a five mile radius of Y/N’s apartment have already been marked. Just let us know over the Comms every time you clear a building and we’ll mark it off of the list.” Izuku says in a serious tone, his mind focussed on the tasks at hand.
“I’ve already called in the best stealth-based sidekicks I could find. Each of you will have two accompanying you to help clear buildings faster. Report any piece of potential evidence you find, anything and everything could be imperative to the mission. Alright, pick your zones and head out. Your sidekicks will be waiting for you in the lobby.” Izuku further explains before essentially dismissing Shinso, Jiro, and Tokage.
Given the extreme importance of the mission and the time constraints, the three choose their zones and quickly head out leaving Kirishima and Izuku alone in the room.
“You look rougher than you did earlier man.. Did you get any rest?” Kirishima gently asks as he takes in Izuku’s worn-out appearance.
“I’m fine. I couldn’t manage to sleep, then.. Kacchan called. He’s a mess, Kirishima.. I’ve never heard him so broken before even during all of the crap we all went through at UA.” Izuku quietly says as he watches through the video, his eyes searching the background for anything.
Izuku hears Kirishima swallow thickly as the red-head shuffles through the files he brought. “I really hope that we find her in time..” Kirishima whispers, seemingly more to himself, and Izuku’s fists clench.
“We will,” Izuku grits out as he replays the video, this time at a slower speed.
After what feels like years of replaying the video and looking over the information Kirishima dug up on Shadow Step, Izuku’s exhaustion catches up with him and he snaps a bit. “Fuck!” He exclaims frustratedly as he sits back in his chair and rubs his hands over his face.
“Nothing at this building either, Deku, it’s clear.” Jiro’s voice comes through Izuku’s earpiece. The green-haired Hero growls out an “okay” and marks the building off of the map in front of him.
“Listen, man, if you wanna take a brief break, then I can handle the Comms for a bit..” Kirishima tries to offer, face full of concern as he looks at his friend and fellow Hero.
“I don’t have time to take a break. We have to find her before time runs out. I don’t know what else to do, there’s nothing in the video that would point us any closer to finding her. All of the buildings that the stealth team have checked so far have brought up nothing. What else could we possibly che-” Izuku cuts himself off from his exasperation-filled rant as an idea hits his brain.
“God, why didn’t any of us think of this sooner? Damn it!” He growls out as he brings up another hologram screen from the table.
“Think of what, man?” Kirishima asks confusedly as he scoots closer to Izuku.
“Security cameras,” Izuku mutters as he pulls up mini screen after mini screen of camera footage.
“Fuck.. okay, tell me where you want me to pull camera footage from. We can divide up the search between us both.” Kirishima says as he moves to a different part of the table and pulls up a hologram screen.
Izuku tells him where to start, then the two are nearly silent as their eyes search through hours worth of traffic and security cam footage. Occasional muttering from both of them fills the room, as well as Izuku’s responses to the stealth team. None of the five Heroes come up with anything until Shinso’s shaken voice comes through the Comms.
“Mid- Deku.. I found the room the video was filmed in,” Shinso informs Izuku, and the rest of the team, gravely. Izuku’s whole body freezes up and his eyes whip to the map to see where Shinso’s location is pinged. The map shows Shinso in a building about two and half miles South from your apartment complex.
“Deku, there’s a lot of blood on the floor here..” Shinso says, his tone disheartened, and Izuku’s nausea comes back at full-force.
“Shinso, stay there and wait for the police to arrive. Jiro and Tokage, take your sidekicks and all of you start searching the abandoned buildings around Shinso’s pinned location. From what we’ve gathered on Shadow Step’s Quirk he can’t teleport very far and his teleportation may be made more difficult if he’s transporting Y/N around.” Izuku orders while trying his best to keep in his Hero mindset and not let his emotions take over.
Izuku looks over at Kirishima, about to tell him to start searching the camera footage from around Shinso’s location when he pauses, “Kirishima, do you need a moment to step out?” Izuku asks as he looks over Kirishima’s stock-still frame and pale face.
Kirishima’s eyes snap to him and he shakes his head, “N-no. I’m fine. What do you need me to do?”
~~~
You’re brought into a hazy and slightly delirious-feeling consciousness by the feeling of someone changing your IV. You don’t have the energy anymore to make anything other than a small, barely heard, and weak whimper. You’re not sure how long it’s been since the day the video was made, since the day you were fucking shot. With the state that your body is in and Shadow Step constantly transporting you through shadows to different abandoned buildings, everything is blurring together.
Being awake is becoming more and more unpleasant and surreal. Your entire body hurts. You feel sick; feverish but freezing, weak, trembling so much that your teeth chatter. The thought that your gunshot wound may be infected has crossed your dazed mind, but you can’t do anything about it. All they’ve done for it is change the wrapping a couple times only because the three of them keep agitating the wound, making it bleed more.
You don’t even know how you’re still alive, honestly. Between the blood loss and the possible infection, you really feel like you should be dead. Hell, you almost wish Shadow Step would kill you before his self-set timeline ends just so that you don’t have to endure this any longer. At the same time, you pray that Katsuki is out there trying his best to find you.. Because even if he doesn’t love you anymore he used to and that has to count for something, right?
But you also know Katsuki.. You know that he never half-asses anything. If the mission he’s on isn’t finished, if they still need him out there, then he’s not going to abandon it to save an ex.
Whatever ends up happening, whether he comes home or not, you know that you won’t resent or hate him. Even with being in the most emotional and mental pain in your life during the last four months, you’ve never once hated him. Sure, you were pissed as fuck in the beginning, but your love for him hasn’t faded. There’s always been that voice in the back of your mind telling you that he hadn’t meant it. That he hadn’t meant to hurt you. That his heart was in the right place despite his fucked up execution of the situation.
As your blurred sense of reality fades out and you slip back into memory-filled unconsciousness, you grasp tightly onto the hope that all of this ends soon one way or another, and a small smile weakly tugs at your lips at the memory your mind begins playing..
You’ve looked over your entire outfit five times in the mirror by now, making yourself run borderline late. It’s been a while since you’ve been on a first date, so the world can kiss your ass for stressing over every detail. With one more touch up of your already perfect makeup, you breathe out a shaky sigh, then grab your purse.
The drive to the restaurant goes fairly smoothly and you pull into the parking lot 5 minutes before you’re supposed to be there. A soft gasp of shock and awe leaves you when you turn your car off and finally take a good look at the place. It looks ridiculously fancy and much too expensive for you to even be parked in the parking lot. You re-read the message Bakugo had sent you a couple of days ago detailing how to enter the building and ask about the reservation while exercising as much privacy as possible.
Admittedly, you were a bit apprehensive about going on a date with him at all. The man is freaking Pro Hero Dynamight and you had always told yourself that you didn’t want to be with someone like him. Someone who not only puts his life on the line every day, but who also has eyes on his every move at any given point. But a few casual conversations with Bakugo at your part time job at a local (but somewhat fancy) coffee and tea shop later, he somehow managed to charm you into going on a date with him.
In the days leading up to this date Bakugo had assured you plenty of times that he would do everything he could to keep things relatively private and just between the two of you. You had learned that while he is a Limelight Pro, he very much values keeping his private life just that; private. So you decided to trust his word, ignore the thoughts begging to know why he would want to even go on a date with a random-nobody-part-time-barista, and now you’re here.
Here.
At a fancy ass restaurant.
Feeling severely out of your league and still wondering how you ever caught his eye.
With a racing heart and shaky hands you grab your purse and get out of your car. Making your way up to the front doors of the restaurant, one hand fidgets with your necklace as the other grips the strap of your purse just a little too tightly. Walking through the door your eyes immediately search the sea of faces for the server Bakugo had mentioned in the message. A small sigh of relief leaves your mouth when you spot them and you politely wave them down.
“Welcome, ma’am! Is there something I can help you with?” They politely ask with a warm smile and it makes you feel a bit more comfortable already.
“Yes, uhm, I’m the other party for the reservation under K. B.” You tell them with a nervous smile.
“Ah, I see! Let me just check something..” They say as they look down at the tablet in their hands for a moment.
Your eyes glance down at the tablet and you watch them pull up a photo of you. You recognize the selfie as the one you took the day prior and had sent to Bakugo when he had asked for it. You had found it a bit weird when he initially asked, but he had explained the purpose shortly after receiving the photo.
“Perfect! If you’ll just follow me this way, please! Also, if I may say, you are just as gorgeous in person!” The server says, their smile kind and still just as warm, and your cheeks flush.
“Thank you,” you say shyly as you step forward to follow them. The blush deepens a bit when you think back to yesterday when Bakugo had commented on the photo and called you beautiful, even though it was just a simple selfie.
The server and yourself weave through tables and groups of people until you both reach a door with a gold plate that reads “VIP Seating” on it. The server slides a keycard through the handle and it beeps, signifying that it’s unlocked. They push it open, holding the door so that you can walk through, then they let it swing shut and wait a moment for it to lock again before proceeding to lead you to your table.
Looking around as you walk you notice that there are significantly less tables in this section of the restaurant and it doesn’t take you long to spot Bakugo. Your breath catches in your throat when you see him seated at the table leisurely sipping on what you think is whiskey on the rocks. He’s wearing a deep green button up with a black tie and a black vest, black slacks, and expensive-looking, glossy dress shoes. He looks stunning and you feel underdressed despite wearing your most expensive dress and a pair of pricey, name brand stilettos Akari let you borrow.
As you get lead closer to the table, Bakugo’s eyes stray from the window he was looking out of to scan the room. His gaze immediately catches on you and you watch his eyes widen a bit as they look your form up and down. You feel self-conscious but stifle a giggle as you watch him tug his collar a bit before he quickly moves to stand.
“Your table, ma’am! I’ll give you both some time to look over the menu but in the meantime, would you like something to drink?” The server says and you give them your drink order, then they’re off.
“Hi,” you say shyly as you look at Bakugo, your blush returning a bit.
“Hey,” he gently rasps out, his eyes still slowly roaming over your body causing your feelings of self-consciousness to return in full.
You look down at your dress and begin to nervously ramble, “I-I hope I dressed up enough.. you said this place was fancy, but I didn’t know it was this fan-”
“You look amazing,” Bakugo rushes out, effectively cutting you off, and your face practically catches fire. “Ah, uhm, let me get your chair for you.” He says in what you interpret as shyness, which you find adorable. As he walks around you to your chair your eyes catch on the pink tips of his ears, also freaking adorable, and you stifle yet another giggle.
He pulls out your chair and you thank him as you sit, scooching the chair toward the table with his assistance. ‘The brash Pro Hero Dynamight is actually such a gentleman, who knew?’ You playfully think to yourself as you watch him make his way back to his chair.
“You look pretty amazing yourself,” you say as a random bout of confidence hits your system. Your confidence and comfort only rises as you watch his cheeks begin to pinken. He sputters a bit before grumbling out a “thank you” and you let your giggle slip out this time around. He sends you what’s supposed to be a glare but the corners of his mouth tick up and there’s a playfulness in his eyes. The night rolls on with easy getting-to-know-each-other conversation, amazing food, and a comfortable atmosphere.
Everything is going so well, flowing so easily and feeling so right, but you’re still unsure if this is something you want to pursue further. It’s only when you get back to your car with Bak- Katsuki’s suit jacket over your shoulders, Katsuki wearing a mask and beanie that don’t match the rest of his attire at all, and he lowers the mask on his face to kiss you goodbye that your heart seems to stop as your brain comes to a startling realization..
You’re starting to fall, really hard, for this man.
~~~
To say that Izuku is emotionally, mentally, and physically wrung out would be an understatement. He and the rest of the team have spent day and night the last three days trying to find you with minimal success. Every building checked has turned up with nothing except more blood along with bloody bandage wraps, empty IV bags, and increased frustration. Not to mention the very few camera sightings of Shadow Step and his two accomplices, the sightings only being slivers of the man in the corners of the frames or glimpses of him slipping into shadows.
It doesn’t help that Izuku’s phone has been getting inundated with notifications from Katsuki, his childhood friend messaging or calling him every chance he gets between flights. Izuku has stopped answering Katsuki’s calls, though, simply because that every call is full of frustration-fueled screaming matches that end with gritted out apologies. The green-haired Hero feels for his friend, he really does, but he can only take so much of his yelling and berating. They’re not in school anymore and they’re actually friends now.
“This building is clear, Deku. No sign of them passing through here.” Kirishima reports as he walks up to Izuku, his face and tone heavy with tired frustration and sadness.
Izuku can feel his hold on One For All slip and green lightning radiates from his body as he struggles to keep from punching a wall, “Fuck!” He yells, his voice echoing throughout the room he was searching.
Kirishima lets out a heavy sigh and turns to leave, “C’mon man, lets go check out the next on-”
“I found them.” Tokage’s hushed voice crackles through the Comms, but it feels as though she shouted it into Izuku’s ear as her words ring through his brain. He just stands there shocked for a moment, briefly thinking that his overly exhausted mind is playing a cruel trick on him, before he dashes into action.
“Copy that. Pulling up your location now. Keep them in your sights, but keep hidden. All other Heroes and sidekicks start heading for Lizardy’s location.” Izuku commands as he moves as fast as he can out of the building, Kirishima just barely keeping up behind him.
On their way to Tokage’s location, Izuku had told Shinso and Jiro to wait for himself and Kirishima near a building about a block away from the target building. Izuku had also taken to using Blackwhip and Float in order to move faster, unfortunately having to use one of his Blackwhip tendrils to carry Kirishima. The red-haired Hero didn’t seem to mind this form of travel except for maybe the slight look of fear when he was initially lifted off of the ground.
The two get to the established meeting spot just after Shinso and his sidekicks, and they don’t have to wait but a minute longer for Jiro and her sidekicks to arrive. Izuku immediately hashes out a plan of attack, making it a priority for someone to get you first if they can.
“Everyone ready?” Izuku asks with eager determination and receives nods of confirmation filled with just as much determination. “Lizardy, do you copy?”
“Yes, I copy.” Tokage answers quietly.
“We’re set to get into position. Are they all still there?” Izuku asks as he nods at those around him, a silent command to get moving.
“Yes. Shadow Step is on his phone and his two lackeys are sleeping.” Tokage quietly reports.
“What about Y/N?” Izuku asks as his fear tries to override his Hero Mode.
“She’s tied up and on the floor in the West corner of the room. She appears to be sleeping as well, but Deku.. I don’t think she’s doing very well..” Tokage informs and her voice takes on a somber tone.
It takes incredible effort for Iuzku to shove down his emotions as he tries to keep himself together to complete the mission, but he manages to do it, “We’re all here, she’ll be fine. Lizardy, once everybody has confirmed their positions, I want you to send your hands into the room with a pair of Quirk canceling cuffs. Try to get them onto either Shadow Step’s wrists or ankles, then report if you managed to do so or not.” Izuku tells her as he reaches his position.
“Everyone else, if Lizardy succeeds, rush in immediately. If she isn’t successful, hold your positions and be ready for a chase.” Izuku quietly directs the others, receiving confirmations from the whole group.
“Alright, sending the cuffs in now.” Tokage whispers, her concentration on the task heard in her voice.
Izuku feels like he waits against the wall of his position forever, the Comms quiet and his heart racing a millions miles a minute. He notes just how dim it has gotten out and for the first time in his life he curses a sunset. His biggest fear right now is missing this opportunity because he knows that once the sun has set, Shadow Step will move you to another building. If he and the team lets that happen, then it’s back to square one and the possibility of getting you back alive practically diminishes.
There wouldn’t be enough time to hunt down Shadow Step, not with it already taking the team three whole days to find him now. Add that to the fact that Katsuki is only about halfway through his second to last flight back to Japan. Even if more Heroes were brought onto the case there just wouldn’t be enough fucking time.
The seconds tick by agonizingly slowly and Izuku has to fight the panic trying to grasp at his lungs. They have to save you. He has to save you. He doesn’t think Katsuki would be able to move past it if you died. Izuku isn’t even sure if he would be able to get past it if you died and he’s only friends with you. Katsuki, though, Katsuki was your boyfriend. He was and still is very serious about you as Izuku has come to find out. So serious that a month before Katsuki had found out that he was being sent on a mission he had bought a ring. A ring that you never had any idea about. A ring that Izuku only knows about because Katsuki drunkenly told him everything about your guys’ secret relationship a few nights before he shattered your heart. A ring that sits securely tucked away in a safe with the letter Katsuki had given Izuku the day he left for the mission.
So yeah, it’s safe to say that Izuku is feeling every ounce of pressure of making sure this massive opportunity is not fucking wast-
“The cuffs are on, everybody move in now!” Tokage shouts into the Comms and Izuku doesn’t hesitate for even a second rushing up the final flight of stairs that lead toward the room you’re being held in.
It’s pure chaos when Izuku bursts into the room, Shinso and Jiro right behind him with Kirishima trailing not too far behind them. Izuku bypasses Shadow Step’s lackeys as they rush the door, their adrenaline seemingly knocking away their sleep. Shinso and Jiro quickly garner their attention, fighting them to keep their attention away from helping their boss or getting to you.
Izuku finds Shadow Step lying on the ground with his ankles cuffed together. He almost counts it as a victory until he watches one of Shadow Step’s arms reach behind him, mostly likely trying to grab his gun. But he doesn’t get the chance to even touch the weapon because Izuku quickly restrains him with expertly controlled tendrils of Blackwhip. He manuvers Shadow Step so that he can cuff his wrists and secure the bastard’s gun.
“Who’s available to come take this bastard outside to wait for the police?” Izuku calls out, his eyes focused on your slumped and still form in the corner of the room.
“I got him, man. Go see if she’s okay.” Kirishima says after he’s finished helping Jiro cuff one of the lackeys.
Izuku waits until Shadow Step is firmly within Kirishima’s grip before rushing over to you. His stomach churns just looking at the state you’re in and stomach acid burns at the back of his throat when he gently puts his hands on your heated and shivering body.
“Y/N? Y/N, can you hear me? Come on, Y/N, wake up.” Izuku gently urges as he pushes the hair away from your face.
You let out a weak whimper, a string of whispered pleas to stop and to not hurt you anymore leaving your dry, cracked lips. Izuku’s heart breaks and he gently hushes you, telling you that it’s okay and that you’re being rescued.
“K-Kats? Y-you fou-found m-me?” You stutter out weakly, your breaths labored and your eyes still closed as Izuku holds your head up for you.
“It’s Izuku, Y/N.. Kacchan isn’t back yet, but he’s on his way, I promise. He’s trying to get back as fast as possible.” Izuku quietly tells you through his tears as he cuts the ropes off of you.
You don’t register Iuzku’s words, your infection-induced delirium and barely conscious state not letting you grasp his words, “I-I st-ill love y-you, Kats.. Do yo-you..” You don’t get to finish your question before you pass out, but Izuku can guess what you were going to ask.
A strangled sob leaves his mouth before he reigns himself back in and gently wraps his arms around you, “He does, Y/N. He does still love you.” He whispers out as he carefully stands with your limp form in his arms.
~~~
It takes a few days of being in the hospital’s ICU being pumped full of meds before you wake up with any sort of clarity. You couldn’t have any visitors because of the risk of an exposure to anything that would worsen your condition. It’s not like you would have remembered anyone visiting you if they could have, you were unconscious practically the whole time between the meds and your body being so weak.
But today you wake up of your own volition and it’s the best you’ve felt in what feels like years. The world doesn’t have a delirious haze over it, the pain in your shoulder and head have reduced down to dull aches, and your appetite has returned if the pang in your stomach is anything to go off of. You slowly reach your good arm out to press the call nurse button when the door suddenly bursts open causing you to flinch back and pain radiates through your body.
Katsuki’s angry tone slams rather than floats into the room with the opening of the door, “I’m done fuckin’ waitin’! Doc said she would probably wake up feeling better today since her healin’ has been on track, so I’m fuckin’ seein’ my girlfrie- Holy shit, you’re already awake?” He asks in disbelief when he finally looks at you.
“Just woke up,” You say quietly, your voice hoarse from lack of use and you cough a bit. Apparently the nurse that had been trying to keep Katsuki out of your room is just as shocked that you’re awake and lucid because it takes Katsuki demanding that she go get some water to knock her from her trance. She glares at Katsuki for a moment before telling you that she’s going to go get you some water and tell the doctor that you’re awake.
The door closes and the room fills with heavy silence, the only sounds interrupting the silence being your heart monitor and breathing. Katsuki just stares at you and when you can’t stand meeting his gaze any longer you look down at your lap. The hand of your good arm fidgets with the thin hospital blanket pooled at your waist as too many emotions whirlwind around your brain and heart.
“Can I, uh, is it okay if I sit?” Katsuki asks hesitantly and you almost want to say no, but you’ve never been good at saying no to him.
“Sure,” you say quietly and nearly regret it because with every step he takes toward the chair next to your bed, you feel the dam you didn’t know you had up within you crack. Your hand grips the blanket tightly when he sits and your eyes start stinging. You can feel the heavy weight of Katsuki’s gaze on you but you know that if you meet it the dam will completely crumble and you’re already trying so hard not to cry.
The silence that has settled back over the two of you is broken when the nurse comes into the room with a cup and a pitcher of water, “Alright, hon, here’s some water. Sip slowly, okay? Also, the doctor should be by within the next hour to see if you’re ready to transfer out of the ICU.” She says sweetly as she sets the water and the cup down on the bedside table.
She looks between you and Katsuki for a moment before asking, “You sure you want him in here right now, hon?” Concern coloring her features when she sees the shine of tears in your eyes, both of you ignoring the irritated sigh that leaves Katsuki.
“Yes, I’m sure, thank you. I’ll hit the button if I need anything.” You say with a small smile and take a couple sips of water.
“Okay, hon. Remember, small sips.” She says before she’s out of the room, the door slowly shutting once more.
“Y/N, I..” Katsuki starts and your hand tightens around the cup at his soft, saddened tone. “I don’t know where to start.. I’m so fuckin’ sorry-”
“You weren’t there,” You whisper out before you can stop yourself, tears finally tipping over the edges of your lash lines.
“I-I know, Baby-” He tries to butt in, his voice already wrecked and guilt-ridden, but you cut him off again.
“N-no, you weren’t there, Katsuki. You left for that mission and you weren’t in the apartment anymore. Not you, not your stuff. You weren’t there.” You continue, crying as you speak. “S-so I couldn’t be there either. For four months I slept on Akari’s couch, or in Izuku’s guest room, or in a hotel room. I-I even fell asleep at my desk at work a few times. You weren’t home, so I wasn’t either. For four months that apartment sat empty, void of people, un-until I-I decided t-to-” Your sentence hangs in the air incomplete as your breathing picks up at the bits of memories of what had happened that day flash across your mind.
“Fuck.. Y/N, Sweetheart? Breathe, Sweetheart. C’mon, take some deep breaths for me Baby, please.” Katsuki tries verbally coaching you through your panic attack but, much to his overwhelming concern, it isn’t working.
“Dammit, c-can I touch you? Is that okay, Sweetheart?” He desperately asks and all you can do is nod your head. Katsuki is quick to rise from his chair to carefully slide himself onto the bed. Being hyper aware of your healing injuries, he gathers you up into his arms and takes your hand into his, gently squeezing it.
“Okay, Baby, remember how we used to do this? Listen for my breaths and focus your attention on our hands.” He rasps softly, then begins taking slow and even deep breaths as his hand gently squeezes yours to the rhythm.
A few long-feeling minutes go by before your breaths even out and you’re left crying into his chest. He stays quiet, soothingly rubbing your back and lightly resting his head against yours, as he waits for your crying to subside. An additional five minutes later, your cries are little more than quiet sniffles and stray tears rolling down your face.
There’s a long moment of not-quite-silence before you speak again, “Izuku had convinced me that I should go back-”
“Sweetheart, you don’t have to talk about it if you’re not rea-”
Cutting each other’s sentences off seemed to be the theme of today and while you would normally just let someone speak, you needed Katsuki to hear this. You needed to tell him what had happened the day you were taken and..
“But I don’t blame him for what happened. He hadn’t told me to go back that same day, he just said that I should do it soon. Suggested that I go back to the apartment and do whatever I wanted to reclaim the space as my own so that I would stop thinking of it as ours. I know that he didn’t have any ill-intent behind the suggestion. I wasn’t doing very well, Kats, and I know that he was worried. He was just trying to help me bounce back.” You say quietly and pause for a brief moment to just listen to the sound of Katsuki’s heartbeat.
Katsuki remained quiet, surprisingly enough, so you continued on, “So when I left his place that day, I went back to Akari’s and gathered my stuff, then drove home. I know that I should have messaged him. I know that I should have at least brought Akari with me, though I’m glad that I didn’t.. Wh-when I got there, Kats, the door was cracked open and..” You trail off as you mentally berate yourself for being so stupid.
“Sweethe-”
“..and I pushed it open because I’m that fucking stupid! I just walked inside like finding your apartment door broken open is fucking normal and that’s when I saw one of Sh-Shadow S-Step’s guys in the living room.. Do you know what I did next, Katsuki? I just fucking stood there! I didn’t scream, I didn’t run, I just stood there like a fucking moron! That’s when, either the other guy or Shadow Step himself, hit me in the back of my head and I blacked out.” You push on with your retelling of the events, Katsuki’s hold on you growing a bit tighter.
“Baby, just-”
Tears begin rapidly falling down your face again and a sob leaves your mouth, “I-I’m s-so s-sorry, Kats! I-I’m so f-fucking sorry! I-I-I di-dn’t mean t-to wor-ry eve-everyone! I-I j-just-”
“Y/N, stop.” Katsuki says firmly, his face pained as he gently forces you to look at him. “You are absolutely fucking not going to blame yourself for getting fucking taken by that guy, do you hear me?” His voice cracks as he speaks and you notice the glisten of tears in his eyes.
“If you want to pin blame on somebody, then pin it on that bastard, Shadow Step. Pin it on the dumbfucks who let him escape prison. Pin it on me.. Fucking pin it on me for leaving you the way that I did because maybe if I hadn’t.. Maybe you wouldn’t have ended up nearly dying! I’m the one who should be fucking sorry, Y/N, and I am! I am so fucking sorry and whatever I could possibly do to make it up to you, just tell me and I’ll do it! Please, Baby, I love you so much, I’m sorry.”
You’re both crying by the time Katsuki finishes, holding onto each other tightly as tidal waves of emotions slam into you both. Your heart breaks as you listen to the man you love sob into your shoulder and you pray to the universe that you never hear it again as you cling to him.
“I haven’t and I never will blame you for this, Katsuki. You couldn’t see it coming as much as I couldn’t.. But I’m okay now. I’m alive and safe and I love you too, Kats, so much.” You tearfully stutter over sobs, and Katsuki lifts his head to look at you.
He cradles your face in his hands, his thumbs wiping away your tears as best he can, “I know we’re both kind of gross from crying-” he softly starts and you can’t help the huff of wet laughter that leaves your lips.
He attempts to glare at you but his face is too soft, too loving, for it to pack any sort of heat, “-but, would it be okay if I kissed you?” He finishes, pink dusting his cheeks a bit and a small, wobbly smile on his lips.
“Have I ever made you ask for permission before?” You weakly tease as you lean in toward him. He meets you halfway, slotting his lips against yours without adding in any sassy comeback beforehand.
In that moment, it’s like you come alive again, like you’re home. It may have only been four months without him, but with everything else that happened stacked on top of those four months, you could have been convinced that it was a lifetime. Sure, you have some things that you’re going to have to work through, both with Katsuki and yourself. There’s definitely going to have to be some work put in by both of you to rebuild trust and you’re most definitely going to have to get some therapy to help work through the shit you went through getting kidnapped.
But for right now, you let yourself sink into the feelings of home, safety, and Katsuki’s love.
~~~
{A few months later}
“Izuku, I’m telling you right now that if I trip over something one more time because of this whole ‘put on this blind fold and I’ll guide you’ bullshit, I’m going to lose it and you will be the victim of that wrath.” You grit out half-jokingly when you stumble for the fifth time since this endeavor started.
Izuku laughs, obviously not taking your threat as seriously as he should, and helps to steady you, “I promise you that we’re almost there! Also, do you really think that I would let you get hurt? Kacchan would kill me- awff!”
Izuku lets out a weird noise as your elbow meets his stomach and now it’s your turn to laugh, “What the hell even was that? Oh my god, that was funny! Okay, back to business, we’re almost where, exactly?” You question in hopes that he’ll actually tell you this time.
“Nope. Elbows to the stomach aren’t as effective as you may think, but nice try! All you need to know is that we’re almost there!” Izuku answers all too cheerfully for your taste and a pout forms on your lips.
After an indeterminate amount of time continuing on this lovely nature walk, you’re assuming it’s lovely since you can’t freaking see, Izuku finally  lets you know that it’s coming to an end, “Alrighty, just around the bend here.. And look at that, there’s Kacchan!” He excitedly exclaims and you fight the urge to elbow him again.
“Izuku, I can’t see anything, I’m fucking blindfolded.” You state in the most unamused tone you can muster. You hear two huffs from two different directions, each depicting two different emotions. One of them is the little pouty huff Izuku does when someone gets snarky with him and the other is the huff of laughter you know so well to be Katsuki’s.
“Kats, Izuku made me put on this blindfold and then he tried to kill me multiple times on the way here.. Wherever ‘here’ is.” You whine at your boyfriend, your lips forming back into a pout to hide the playful smirk tugging at them.
“He wouldn’t let anything happen to you, Sweetheart. His whole career is based on keeping people from getting hurt, plus he knows that I would kill him.” Katsuki says matter of factly and you can hear the mirth in his voice.
Behind you, Izuku makes a triumphant noise like he won something, “See! I told you- awff! Dammit, stop doing that!” Izuku makes the hilariously weird noise again after you elbow him in the stomach, again, and you can’t help the evil little giggle that leaves your mouth.
“Alright Sweetheart, stop abusing the nerd,” Katsuki says after he’s done laughing. “And do me a favor, yeah? Step forward about six steps, and before you say anything, no you aren’t going to trip on anything.”
Taking a brief moment to flip Katsuki the bird for his teasing, you hesitantly begin to step forward. You count the steps in your head since Katsuki was weirdly specific about it, then stop when you’ve taken the sixth step. You are beyond confused about what the hell is going on here, but you trust Katsuki so don’t question anything aloud.
“Hmm.. actually, take one more step forward.” Katsuki says in a quieted and calculating tone, he sounds closer to you now and that supplies more questions in your mind. Regardless, you take one more step, then just stand in place, your hands fidgeting with the hem of your shirt.
“Now, turn around.” Katsuki says and you can hear a bit of nervousness enter his voice.
“Kats, what’s going on? Are you oka-” You ask concernedly and your hands come up to peel off the blindfold.
“Don’t! Ah, j-just, don’t take that off yet.. please.. And, could you just turn around? Please?” He asks and you can hear his nerves turning into slight irritation, so you mumble out a ‘sorry’ then turn around.
You hear a bit of shuffling behind you and you begin to feel genuine concern and anxiety about what situation you three could possibly be in. After about a minute of shuffling noises and small grunts from behind you, Izuku’s voice pipes up from a bit of a distance in front of you.
“Okay, Y/N, you can take off the blindfold now.” He calls out and you breathe a sigh of relief as you pull the cloth off of your face.
You blink a bit against the bright rays of sunlight and when your vision adjusts you see Izuku making a “turn around” motion with one of his hands. His other hand is holding up what looks to be Katsuki’s phone, the front pointed at you as if he’s taking a video. You send him a look of utter confusion as his hand motion gets more urgent and his smile grows wider.
Hesitantly, you turn around and what you see has you gasping with tears immediately spring to your eyes.
Katsuki is down on one knee with a maroon colored velvet box clasped in his hands looking nervous as hell but wearing a handsome, genuinely happy smile on his face. Behind him, just past the ledge you both are near, is a breathtaking view of a canyon full of lush greenery and a river running right down the middle of it. Bringing both of your hands up to your mouth, you try to wrap your head around what’s happening.
“Y/N L/N, you have been the most consistent thing on my mind since the very first time I saw you. The day we met in that little cafe there was something about you that wouldn’t shake itself from my thoughts. I don’t know if it was your smile, your cheesy charm, or the way you treated me like I was just a normal customer, but you’ve had me hooked since then.” He pauses for a moment when a tearful giggle leaves your lips from his teasing little dig and you melt at the adoration in his eyes.
“I tried my damndest not to fall for you, especially when you had mentioned you didn’t think you could handle a lifestyle like mine, but with every conversation we had, you had me wrapped around your small ass finger more and more. I know that I’m difficult and I’ve fucked up, but you keep loving me. It’s probably one of the most terrifying things I’ve ever encountered in my life, but it’s also the most incredible.” Katsuki’s emotional staring is so intense and you almost want to shy away. You're a blubbering mess by now, absolutely drowning in his affectionate speech, and he keeps going.
“What we have is something that I’m never going to try to get rid of.. again..” Guilt flashes across his features when he says this even though you both have worked through it you know that he still beats himself up over it. But his happiness comes back in the blink of an eye and he continues, “So this is me tying ya down, Sweetheart. I love you, Y/N, more than I ever thought possible for someone like myself.”
He pauses one more time, his eyes darting down to the box in his hands as he opens it and presents it to you, his loving gaze meeting yours, and what he says next is the most “Katsuki” thing you think he could say in a moment like this..
“Y/N L/N, my Sweetheart, will ya fuckin’ marry me or what?”
Your laughter mixes with your happy crying as you fall to your knees, every form of “yes” you can think of at this moment spilling from your lips as he slips the ring onto your finger. Cheering is heard from Izuku as you pull Katsuki in for a passionate kiss, your heart so incredibly full that it feels like it’ll burst.
Katsuki is the first one to pull away from the kiss and he faces toward Izuku, raising your left hand into the air triumphantly, “We’re gettin’ fuckin’ married!!” He shouts and it echoes down the canyon along with the cheers from Izuku and yourself. Joyous warmth fills your chest and all you can think about is how Y/N Bakugo has such a delicious ring to it.

Note ~ Lovelies.. this fic definitely made me have.. feelings. Nothing even close to how emotional I was when I wrote One Life After Another, Forvermore but still, feeelliinngggsss lol. I really do hope that you enjoyed the read, though! And if there are any typos or errors please point them out because I finished and posted this fic to here on literally zero hours of sleep. I really do be just running off of nicotine and sheer fucking will lmao. Anyway, if you read past this note you will be entering "extended ending" territory, so just beware because it's sad. Big sad. I also may be overdramatizing it, but y'all can let me know. I love and appreciate you, Lovelies! <3
Alternate/Extended Ending
The image of you, Katsuki and Izuku fades out until the emptiness that surrounded you when you first ended up here comes back. You’re on your knees as gut-wrenching sobs rip themselves from your chest. If there is a god, just how cruel of a being is he if he’s willing to show you how your life would have played out if you didn’t die? Does he get some kind of sick joy out of making you watch a movie of everything you ever could have dreamed of obtaining if you had just survived.
If you would have lived, would have kept breathing for maybe five minutes longer, the day they found where Shadow Step was hiding you then you could have had all of that. But you didn’t live. You didn’t survive. You died slumped against that wall mere minutes before Izuku came bursting through that damn doorway. Your body had just given up, so fucking pathetically too.
You had stood near your body watching Izuku sob as he performed CPR and you had screamed for him to bring you back. You watched him nearly kill the paramedic as they tried to, respectfully, pull your lifeless body away from Izuku to put it into a bodybag. You watched as the “ever-smiling” Hero Deku held your cold, dead hand the entire way to the morgue with nothing more than a disconnected look on his face.
Later that night, you watched the love of your life stand next to your body with tears streaming down his face as he ran a finger down your cheek. You watched as his face contorted into horrified disbelief and he stumbled over to a trash can in the corner of the room just barely making it there before he threw up whatever was in his stomach. You watched as the man you loved with your entire being cursed, screamed, cried, and destroyed the room until he was on his knees beside where your body laid. You watched as Katsuki screamed at your body that he was sorry, that he loves you, and that he wishes that it was him that was dead. You watched as your Katsuki hoarsely begged you to come back to him even though within his ever-logical brain, he knew that it wasn’t possible for you to come back.
You had never known what happened after someone died.
And now that you do know?
You wouldn’t wish this upon your worst enemy.
Not even on the man that sent you here in the first place.

Okay WTF now I need a part 3 of Enemy Territory 😭 like bruh like who is finding out about the kid first? Toto? Christian? George? Other driver who snitches to one of them on on purpose or totally on accident?? THE POSSIBILITIES
Enemy Teritory Part Three
George Russell x Horner Reader,
Summary: and they all live mostly happily ever after
Warnings: Lestappen wedding?
Notes: The things I do for you people
Masterlist
Tumblr media
Christian knew he fucked up the moment she left the paddock that day. He knew it as he hadn't heard from her for weeks. He had to beg Max for any kind of update. Ones which the Dutch were reluctant to give.
He really should've stood up to Toto for his daughter. Showed her more support than he did.
It's the middle of 2024 when Max pulls him into his office and tells him to sit down. It's not often Max takes a serious tone with him. He knows it's something serious, and he can't help but let his mind travel to the worst about his daughter.
"She wants to meet for dinner the next time we're in Austria."
"Dinner?"
"You know? The meal you est in the evening?" Max snorts.
"Don't get sarcastic with me."
Sure enough, the next time they're in Austria, she drives up with Max to the Horner household for dinner. Max gets out and around to the other side of the car. It looks like she's struggling to move around.
Christians mouth falls open as he sees her. Probably around seven months pregnant. Of all the things he was prepared for, it wasn't this.
Turns out George is the father, but she has yet to tell him. Max has been helping her out when her can. To which he was shocked Charles has also come and help occasionally. Turns out both of the young adults decided to just tell him everything.
His daughter is pregnant and Max is dating Charles.
She’s been staying with them in Monaco since things have gotten harder to do on her own. Christian can tell she’s still hurting after a year of not seeing George. Well- less then that, but she still look like she just left that office.
It is a very happy time when the baby is born. Nobody knows why Christian and Max fly out directly after the race ends in early September. None of the reporters catch Charles sneaking out the back with them.
Christian is a very happy man that day. Yet, even through the smiles of his daughter, he cant help but notice the hint of sadness.
~
“Charles!” Max screams to get the attention of his now fiancé. It’s been over a year since baby George was born. His mother had been struggling immensely since his birth and Max and Charles were doing their best to help her out. Plus he started calling them ‘uncle Maxie and uncle Charlie’ which doesn’t help their growing adoration and incessant need to spoil the child.
Charles spins on his heels and puts his hands on his hips. “No need to shout at me!”
“But I come bearing gossip!”
Charles takes quick strides in his direction and they meet in the middle of the paddock alley. They are certainly closer then they need to be, but they couldn’t care less.
“Are you going to spill or not?”
“George has a new girlfriend.” They both sigh heavily in exasperation. The Brit had been complaining about his new PR contract that Toto is making him do.
They two drivers had been making so much progress with getting the mother of his child to come back to the paddock. This is going to set them back years. Maybe forever, at this rate.
George still asks about her. All the time. It's becoming a problem in some ways.
"Now she'll never come back!" Whines the Monegasque. He's not wrong, though. It's going to be a pain to get her to come back if George looks like he's moved on.
"We could tell her it's for PR?"
"She'll think we're lying."
They need to come up with a plan and fast. Both males know, without a shadow of a doubt, that this will break her even more than she already is.
~
The end of the 2026 season brings new things for everyone. George is walking on air after winning the championship. He didn’t think attending the wedding of two of his friends would bring such a tragedy with it.
He’s asked Max and Charles about her every chance he got. Christian had even approached him and apologized. As soon as he could, now that his contract with Mercedes and the stupid PR girlfriend are done, he was going to find her. Get her back and love her like she deserves.
George had assumed she’d be at the wedding. Found it to be the perfect opportunity to see if he can’t explain things. Maybe try to reconcile and see if she still wants to attempt a relationship now that Toto can’t get in the way.
She looks beautiful. Dressed in something that gives her a glow, standing and talking to the the two newly weds. George can’t help but smile when he lays eyes on her for the first time in years.
Then people move, and he gets a clear view of a little boy clinging to her leg. He can’t be older then two and is the spitting image of himself when he was a child.
Shock and realization passed through him. George has saved the last texts they’d sent that day before the dooming call to Toto’s office. She’s wanted to tell him something important. She had seemed excited, elated even.
She’s deep in conversation, enough to where she doesn’t notice George staring at the child and him looking right back. the boys face bursts into a grin and he launches himself through the crowd.
All three adults freeze and turn to look at where he’s run off to. George makes eye contact with the female. It’s like slow motion. Like they are they only two people in the room. She quickly exchanges words with Max and Charles before they come over.
“You’re George Russell!” Says the little boy.
“Indeed I am!”
“We have the same name! My maman says I have the same name as my dad.” He likes very prideful. George can’t help but smile.
Max scoops the boy, who he now knows is also George, up into his arms. “You know better then to run away, Junior.”
“But uncle Maxie look! I found him!”
“I see that. What do you say we go find something to snack on?”
“Only if uncle Charlie didn’t make it”
Charles looks offended and fakes a pain in his chest. Then the trio walks off, leaving the boys mother behind.
George is at a loss for words. He doesn’t know what to say or how to say it. Thankfully she takes the lead. “He loves you. Your his favorite driver. Completely obsessed enough to wake up at ridiculous hours just to watch you race.” She doesn’t look him in the eyes. Like she can’t bring herself to do it.
“Is he- Is he mine?” She confirms with a nod of her head. George smiles and tears up more then he had at the reason why he is even here in the first place. “Can we go somewhere more private? I have something I want to tell you.”
They find a garden to explore as they talk. George tries to ease into it, see where she’s at before he tries to ask her out.
“How’s your girlfriend?” She looks hurt but is tryin to smile and be polite nonetheless.
“She was never my girlfriend. I had to do it for PR after everything that happened. People were speculating. We were both on the same terms; she had someone else but they didn’t want her around them. I told her I was still in love with you.”
He didn’t realize they had stopped walking until he turns and sees her staring at him. tears in her eyes and love plastered all over her face. “I never stopped loving you either.”
And George doesn’t hesitate to do the one thing he’s been wanting to for years now. He’s waited patiently and it payed off because now she’s here in front of him. He crashes his lips onto hers. Something about years of pent up emotions makes this kiss the best thing he has ever felt.
“I think Junior may have a heart attack when he realizes your his dad.”
“That will make two of us today then.”
~
Up on the balcony the trio of boys watch the gardens below. George and Their favorite female walk out into their line of sight.
“Look! Maman is with George Russell!”
Max and Charles laugh at his excitement. Their fingers crossed that she takes his explanation and believes it because even with years apart, it looks like they were never apart.
The two walk and talk for a bit while the trio eats snacks and hides from other guests.
It’s peaceful, until the little boy in Charles’ lap screams.
“George Russell is kissing my Mummy! That’s my job!” He crosses his arms and turns away from the sight with a pout.
:oops like Georges new competition will be with George Jr. for his mothers attention.

From what we’ve seen so far it almost looks like Carlos has been trying to make it easier for Charles? Take the chili plushie clip, Carlos is clearly teary eyed but he still tries to make Charles laugh. He is the one who’s hurting but he puts his own hurt aside because he notices that Charles is sad too and he has to make him laugh, because if there’s something else I’ve noticed in the past years is that Carlos loves seeing Charles happy
Anon! Firstly, are you the same anon from the other day? Let me kiss your brain, because I love talking about these boys so so so much and for some reason people really enjoyed the conversation we had. Anyway!!!! Let's talk about this for a second. Carlos is definitely having a hard time. If we're going blindly on the timeline, we have to assume Carlos knows about his exit from Ferrari ever since before the Dakar finale, (this is just especulation, though, because we don't know for certain) and he sort of, kind of, blew off Ferrari and the Maranello trials to go celebrate with his dad. Pretty sure he wouldn't have done this if he didn't have enough leverage on Ferrari because the trials at Maranello are SUPER important, but first, his dad just won Dakar at his age, and then he's like: well, I mean, I'm getting kicked out of the team anyway and I won't be active during the development of the next car, so, whatever, let's just do this,-- and he went and did it. That's my idea. He needed to be with his father because they all knew. I'm pretty sure they even knew during the training camp at Madrid / Portugal because he's surrounded by friends and already doing the absolute most to get in an amazing shape because he needs to be his best version this year. But-- then when he meets up with Charles again, Charles even feels blindsided. Because like I said previously, Lewis is Lewis. And he comes with sponsors and 7 world titles and his experience and all of a sudden Charles isn't really Ferrari's most important figure inside the team. So they're both trying to soothe each other. Because for the first time ever, Charles doesn't feel like the golden boy, he probably even feels like Ferrari did him dirty (that's what I would've thought, anyway) because who pays two or three times your salary to your second driver? Not any team, that's for certain. Carlos was stability for Charles and it's like his world was thrown off its axis. They were equals, similar in status, genuinely a good team. Charles feels bad and Carlos sees it, because he's lost his teammate, they were supposed to beat Ferrari's record of the teammates that lasted longer and now, well.
And Carlos knows this, and sees Charles handling it just as bad as himself and goes: well. If I don't have to think about this, and make him laugh, then neither of us need to focus on this, right? And the first challenge rolls around and he's tired but Charles is doing his best so why not sing until Charles' annoyed so he doesn't have to see how bone-tired Carlos is? He's sort of protecting Charles' heart by protecting his own. And then there's the little chili and I can simply see Carlos' thought process: this is the last first race of the year with Ferrari, and someone gifted him a chili. And he's chili and he's smooth operator and he's supposed to be fine, but his throat closes up and his eyes fill with tears and he doesn't want Charles to see him like this but it's so much. So he tries to laugh it off. And when he sees that Charles is also thinking the same thing he says, well. At least we're in this together. So he makes Charles laugh by saying he was a chili, too. We don't know what he means, but Charles is so fond and so filled with nostalgia that he laughs, anyway, even though his throat is dry and his eyes are filled with tears. And he gets to keep the chili plushie after Carlos reminded him they're supposed to part ways.
Remember Monza 2022? When Carlos completely ignored the woman who was guiding him to the back of the track so he could follow protocol? And he broke protocol to ask Charles if he was okay? Yeah, that's Carlos, to me. And I no longer feel like he's the only one capable of doing that for Charles, I really have seen Charles fight british and italian press and tell them to respect Carlos' last year in Ferrari, and I see Charles perfectly capable to soothe Carlos as much as Carlos has tried to soothe him. Because he's mourning in front of all of us, basically. And Carlos did go to Jeddah not only to help Ollie, but for Charles' sake, too. Did you see the smile Charles had on his face when they asked him about Carlos and he said that he'd called Senior and he'd told him that it was all okay and that he might've been going to the track later that day? He's doing that in front of all of us, showing us how much Carlos means to him. This is the best and worst time for Charlos fans right now and we have to deal with these two behaving like that for the rest of the year. I don't know how we're going to cope. Again, thank you for sending me these, because I just love to type until I don't make any sense.

Do you think you could do one where jj and the gang gets home and finds his sister (12 or 13) all beaten up by Luke and they just take care of her? pls
The pogues are laughing as they walk into the chateau, JJ smoking a joint which he shares with John B and Kie.
Pope turns the lights on, his eyebrows furrowing at Y/N sitting on the couch, her face hidden in her arms. Pope hits JJ on the arm until he looks over at the couch, everybody quieting down when they notice the twelve year old.
"Y/N?" JJ calls.
She looks up at his voice, his eyes widening at the bruises on her face and her cut lip, some blood smeared on her nose. The others have similar reactions, sharing sad looks. Y/N gets up, beelining for JJ and immediately hug him. She just wants her big brother.
JJ stumbles from the force, but instantly wraps his arms around her.
"Hey, hey. Hey, munchkin. It's okay." JJ places a hand on her head holding her to his chest. John B takes the joint from him, JJ placing his other hand on his sister's back.
JJ feels her body shake as she sobs into his chest.
"Hey, hey, shh." JJ whispers, resting his head on top of hers. "Shh, shh, I got ya. I've got you." He reassures.
Y/N continues to cry, hiccupping when JJ gently pushes her back so he can see her face. JJ cups her face, his thumb lightly grazing over one of the bruises on her cheek making her wince. He immediately pulls his hand away, making sure not to touch any of the other injuries.
"What happened?" He asks, keeping the anger he feels restrained.
"I-- I was home and... and I was doing the dishes and I-I dropped a plate." Y/N sniffles, starting to cry more. "He got really mad and he wou-- wouldn't stop. I-I climbed out of your window since it works better than mine. I thought you would be here and you weren't and-and I didn't know what else to do or where to find you, I--"
"Hey, hey, hey, breathe." JJ pulls her back into a hug. "It's all right. You're safe now. You're safe." He promises, stroking her hair.
"I'm gonna get some disinfectant for your lip." Kie says, offering the younger girl a small smile, before going to the bathroom, looking for the first aid kit.
"Come on." JJ leads his sister over to the couch, making her sit down and he crouches in front of her.
"I don't wanna go home." Y/N sniffles, looking at her brother with a scared look.
"No, no, no, don't worry. Don't worry. We're staying here." JJ assures as he tucks her hair behind her ears.
"Have you eaten anything?" John B asks and Y/N shakes her head. "Um... instant ramen or day old pizza?"
"Both?" Y/N asks. "We don't... we don't have anything at our house."
"Yeah. Yeah, of course. Sure." John B nods. "Come on." He nudges Pope, the two walking over to the kitchen. John B gets the pizza out of the fridge while Pope starts to make the ramen.
"How long have you been here?" JJ asks.
"I don't know. The sun was up. Afternoon at some point." Y/N says.
"Here." Kie walks in with the first aid kit.
"Thanks, Kie." JJ mutters, reaching out for it.
"I got it." She assures. Kie sits next to Y/N, getting what she needs out. "This is gonna sting, but--"
"Don't worry. I'm used to it." Y/N says. They're simple words, yet they manage to break the five teenagers' hearts.
"You want something to drink? We have Pepsi." Sarah says and Y/N nods. "Okay." Sarah walks over to the kitchen. Kie works on Y/N's injuries. Despite being used to it, the tween still winces and tightly grips onto JJ's arm like she always does. JJ softly rubs her knee to comfort her.
After Kie's done, JJ drags Y/N to the bathroom, washing the blood off her face. He leads her into the bedroom and gets a pair of pajama pants and a t-shirt she keeps there.
"Here. Change and then after, the food should be ready, and we can-- I don't know. Watch movies?" JJ suggests. Y/N nods, managing a tiny smile. JJ kisses her on the head before starting to leave.
"Wait." Y/N calls getting him to turn back. "Um... ca-can, uh... can Sarah or-or Kie come in here? Or both? I... my-my arms hurt, I don't-- I can't lift them completely."
"Yeah. Yeah, okay." JJ nods, walking out. "Uh... she-she needs you two." He tells Kie and Sarah. "She-- the-the bruises and changing, it--"
"Yeah. Yeah, okay." Sarah nods, her and Kie going to the room. JJ huffs, running his hands over his face.
"J?" John B quietly calls.
"I'm gonna fucking kill him." JJ mutters.
"Well, kill him tomorrow. Be with her tonight." Pope says.
- - -
After Kie and Sarah help Y/N change, she also put one of the few hoodies JJ owns on. They went back out to the living room and Y/N had the pizza, ramen, and Pepsi. They watched movies all night, letting Y/N choose all of the options.
Now, Sarah, Pope, and Kie are all asleep while JJ is sitting on the couch and John B is sitting next to Sarah, her head resting on his shoulder. Y/N is lying on the couch, her head on JJ's lap.
After the movie ends, JJ looks down and sees his sister asleep.
"I'm gonna get her in bed." JJ says.
"Yeah. Yeah, cool." John B nods.
JJ carefully picks his sister up, carrying her to the bedroom. He puts her down on one side and pulls the other side of the covers back.
"C'mon." He mumbles, helping her get to the uncovered side of the bed. Y/N wakes up, whining in protest. "I know. I know. Just a few seconds, munchkin." He whispers, helping her into the bed. He pulls the blanket up, covering her up to her shoulders and then places a kiss to her head.
JJ quickly changes into pajamas before getting in the bed. Y/N rolls over and hugs his arm. JJ gets his arm free, hugging her.
"You're safe. I promise." JJ quietly says, kissing her on the head again.

Second Chance (2/4)
Warning: Hurt/Comfort?
Words: 1.4K
Summary: Thanksgiving at the Avengers compound.
AN: Part 2 is finally here!! Natasha redemption just had to happen, no explanation needed! While writing this I had an idea for a Part 3 --> friends to lovers??
Tumblr media
[Part 1: Silence ; Part 3: Surprise]
Friendship breakups hurt but best friend breakups hurt even more, it hurt like nothing else in the world. And that pain os hard to get rid off.
It had been months before you could trust people again, to open yourself up and let new people in. A long and hard road was behind you and a longer one was still in front of you. Thanksgiving was coming up and you knew you couldn't say no to the avengers. They were still your family.
Your heart pounded loud as you walked into the compound for the first time in months. The welcome for you was warm, it made you tear up in happiness and sadness. You missed this, you missed them so much.
After greeting everyone and getting hugged by so many, you sat down next to Yelena. She instantly told you how much she missed you and then continued by talking about her new knives that were made out of vibranium. Out of the corner of your eye you saw Natasha sitting in a corner extremely quiet. She starred into nothing, as if she was in another world but you knew she was aware what happened around her by her hard body language.
The hurtful words Natasha once said to you silenced her. She did not utter a single word besides a hello when she is in the compound. Hurting people with words was something she did not want to happen ever again so she chose to say nothing anymore.
It pained you to see her so out of herself. Even tough she hurt you deeply, you wanted nothing more but for the ex-assassin to be happy. Yelena saw your expression and explained that the red head rarely talked anymore. You've never imagined Natasha being so quiet. She was always this outgoing and open person with you, maybe because you both came from a similar background, but seeing her there not even muttering curse words at the avengers who did something stupid was you did not wanna see ever again.
Wanda came into the room to announce the food being almost ready. Pietro then suggested to start listing things we were thankful for. Tony started by saying he's thankful for his Wife Pepper and his daughter Morgan. Kate was thankful for the opportunity to train with Clint all year long. Yelena was thankful for a life-long Mac & Cheese sponsorship she recently got. The others were mostly thankful for their family and friends.
Pietro came into the room while carrying a lot of food, Wanda was close behind him doing things with her hands that the magic carried the food to us. She asked of we're all done with our list of being thankful. As everyone was about to say yes or even nod, Natasha spoke up.
"I'm thankful for Y/N coming tonight" Nobody thought she would speak but your presence changed everything for her. Before anybody could start teasing Nat, the witch said she was thankful for Pietro's health after his almost fatal accident. He of course agreed to it and spoke out a toast. Which only consisted of a Didn’t see that one coming.
You couldn't tear your eyes from the black widow. Figuring her out was like a one color puzzle, very difficult and seemingly impossible but still very possible. Your staring must have been long since Natasha suddenly looked into your direction and caught your gaze. She too couldn't tear her eyes away from you. The facade she held up, started to crumble down and for the first time in forever you could see her vulnerability. You could also see brokenness, regret, apologies, her insecurities and the hate she has for herself. As much as you hated her for what she did, your heart couldn't bear/endure seeing her like this. It's time for both of you to talk.
______________________________________________________________
Tony somehow organized a small thanksgiving after party with like 50 people you didn't know. You got yourself a drink and went to the floor above the party. In times like these, you craved the tower with its height. You loved to look over the city whenever you had the chance to. It gave you a calming effect but also gave you a lot of intrusive thoughts.
Natasha noticed how you danced around her all night, you did not really avoid her but tried to put off a conversation. When she saw you going upstair she followed you with a good amount of distance until she figured out a perfect moment to join. That moment would never cone so she pushed herself towards you. The Avenger put extra weight in her steps to alert you of her coming.
As you felt her presence next to you, all the words you wanted to say were gone. It was weird that even with the awkwardness and dread you both felt, the familiarity between you felt like home.
"I really am grateful for you coning today." Natasha was the first one who spoke. "They're as much your family as they are for me. I don't want you to lose that."
"Well technically I already lost a part of it." She turned her gaze on you but you refused to meet her eyes with the following words. "You. You have always been a part of that family."
Only after you looked at her she started to apologize properly. "What I said to you was cruel and wrong. I apologies for hurting you and Agent Shaw." Natasha wished her apology would fix everything but even if it would fix things, she knew nothing will ever be the same. "I also apologize for my silence, I should have explained what was bothering me instead of pushing you away. And I know that there's nothing I can say or do to fix us. Just know that I'm deeply sorry."
"You don't want forgiveness?" You wondered aloud. She shrugged before telling you she didn't deserve forgiveness so she won't ask for it.
Her words broke your heart in a way it didn't before. "Nat." You whispered with tears in your eyes. "Don't do this to yourself, please. People make mistakes and even though yours was hurtful, you still deserve all the good. You're not that monster anymore, you never were."
"I see you still got that big heart." Leaning onto the railing, Natasha finally started to relax. "Told you years ago that your big heart is gonna be your death. You can't just hand it out to people who did you wrong."
"In a way it was my fault." She stopped you. "Your sexuality was non of my business. You don't owe me insight of your love life. I should've realized that the moment you came out but I felt too betrayed. Thought you didn't trust me enough."
"I think the incident had to happen." You smiled to yourself as the fuzzy feelings came back to you. "It opened my eyes and I realized something."
"Why am I even surprised that you saw something good in pain?"
"You don’t want to know what I realized?" You furrowed your eyebrows together, kinda eager to tell her but were still very anxious about it.
"You were always better at figuring me out then I do myself so you tell me, am I ready for what you wanna tell me?"
"You're like a one colored puzzled right now!!" You grunted in frustration.
"I'm the Black Widow after all." She smirked teasingly. You smiled and shook your head. "I still love you Nat, I hope you know that. And I stop you right now before you say I shouldn't. Humans make mistakes, that's what makes us humans. You're worthy of love."
"But how am I supposed to fix this mess? Is there even a way to fix us?" The hopelessness in her voice was clear. It was  strange to see Natasha not realizing minor things.
"Your apology was a first step. Learn from your mistakes and don't repeat them. It's all I want from you right now. This is a second chance and I hope you take it." Natasha turned towards you. "Can I hug you?"
You opened your arms for her before she happily embraced you. Natasha was shorter than you so she was able to snuggle her face in your neck. Both of you felt such a relief to have each other back.
There was no better feeling than this, she was home for you.
Home.
There is no place like home.

AITA for choosing my family over my friend?
(Sry for the weird English :0)
Ok weird story but here we go
I have been friends with this dude since forever (let's call him Crow) and like, we're super close and a really appreciate him for being in my life, but recently we had a big fight and I don't really know what to do or if I was the asshole in this situation.
Basically, me and crow had different upbringings and different styles of life but we both left our homes because of similar reasons so we clicked instantly.
So we started living nearby and became super close and trusted friends.
But different from Crow, I never stopped trying to mend my relationship with my family, which Crow disapproves.
(Don't want to say a lot about it cuz I'm a bit paranoid, but because of some (justified) choices that I made, I had a falling out with my siblings)
But I know that my brothers and sisters are good people so I always had confidence that we could fix the bad things that happened and move on.
Also, I miss them and love them very much but after leaving it was hard to go back (they live very far away)
Not until recently tho.
After a big conversation, my family chose to accept me back at home (while also paying for my expenses to get there) and even let crow come with me when I asked (hes been living alone for a long time so I thought it was a nice idea to have good company once again after all these years )
So here's where the fight happened
When I told the news to Crow, that my family had accepted me back and even wanted to bring him with me, Crow got really mad at me.
He said that he would rather live alone with me than with my family (who he doesn't really like for the way they hurt me in the past. But like, in the past.) and said that I was mad for wanting to go back to that place
I was appalled but his reaction, like I honestly thought he would be happy that we could live together surrounded by good people.
As the fight escalated it kinda ended on a stressful game where he wanted me to pick a side : Crow or my family.
(Pls don't be mad at crow, he just really had a lot of issues with his and my family and I know that he was thinking of me and my relationship with them when it got to this point.)
Crow really is my best friend in the whole world, but I think it's kinda of unfair of his part to make me choose when I told him that we could have both and be next to each other while I was close to my family.
When I told him that rebuttal, he said that my family was toxic and after spilling some real feelings to me (he's not really a feelings person so it was surprising) he got sad that I still didn't choose what he wanted in the end.
I really don't want to lose my best friend over this argument when it could be resolved really simply (him coming with me) but I can't force him to do that.
So yeah, Am I the asshole for choosing to go back to my family after we had a big falling out (but things got better), instead of staying here with my best friend (Whom I like very much)?
What are these acronyms?

Hello and good morning/afternoon/evening!!! I'm unsure if you write for Lo'ak or do angst but can I request a Lo'ak angst where reader has to watch Lo'ak and Tsireya fall in love from a distance and everyone but Lo'ak and Tsireya know about reader's gigantic crush please? I'd prefer a sad ending where Lo'ak never finds out and she has to fake a smile whenever she's around him but maybe someone *cough* Aonung *cough* sweeps her off her feet ;))). But ofc, you can skip over this request if you want to <333
Tumblr media
◗ pairings :: lo'ak x fem!reader.
◗ warning's :: tiniest bit of atwow spoilers. slight angst. slight jealousy if you squint. slight fluff. comfort if you squint.
◗ author's note :: i tried turning this one into a less toxic ones, because from the past ff that I've read, these kinds of situations end up being toxic/unhealthy. new format also<3.
Tumblr media
You loved that boy ever since.
He was someone who you could always count on. Someone you can always trust, and look forward to waking up just to see them every single day.
He was the light of your life. He treated you so well to the point you even thought he was reciprocating your feelings for him. But now, you watched him drift apart from you as he laughed with another girl.
Were you mad? No, you weren't. We're you upset? Yes, you were.
Upset of what?
Upset of a simple admiration ending up to disappoint you. It hurt to see him so happy with the Tsahìk's daughter than he was with you, they looked so good together, too. It hurts so bad.
Everyday, was all he thought about you was a friend? Someone who he can trust with his troubles? Someone who he can just hang out everyday to entertain his boredom?
You truly can't bare to see Lo'ak and Tsireya so happy with eachother. Their laughters and giggles bubbling in the air reaching up to your drooping ears.
You only can muster a strained smile when he comes to hang out with you after Tsireya leaves. We're you just some 'another person' he can go to once the one he truly likes to be with goes? You didn't want to think badly of him, really.
You weren't together in the first place, and neither can you control who he likes, but you wish he hadn't just threw you aside after he found someone new.
Sighing deeply, your ears drooped down to the sides on your head, the strands of your hair brushing against your ears at the actions. You were with Tuktirey, taking a rest from the water as you were both tired from the learning.
Tuk pouts at you, walking towards you as she stops in front of your seated position. "(nickname), why are you so sad?" She questions softly upon hearing your tired sighs.
Your eyes snapped towards her, removing its gaze on the sand as you looked at her sympathetically. Were you seriously so acting pathetic to the point a seven year old noticed? How embarrassing..
"I'm not sad, Tuk. Im just tired.." You let out softly, smiling at the girl as she looked at you unconvinced.
"I know you're sad, (nickname). I know what your sad face looks like." She says stubbornly, standing her point until you tell her the truth. You slightly laughed at her words, amused. "I have a signature sad face? What does it look like?" You attempted to stray her away from her point.
She tried to mimick your facial expressions, watching as her face scrunched. "I don't think I'm doing your sad face right.." she hums, looking down at her nose as if she was trying to see her expressions. You giggled, your hands caressing her hair.
"But you still look pretty when you're sad, yknow? So pretty! You never have a time where your prettiness goes away, (nickname)." She states adorably, smiling cutely.
"Really? I'm sure my sleeping face is pretty ugly."
Tuktirey hums at your words. "Well you wouldn't know.. you can't see yourself when you're asleep!" She exclaims as a matter of fact. "But I wouldn't know either.. I haven't seen you asleep. Plus, it'd be kind of weird to look at your friend while they're sleeping." She pouts.
You laughed, arms wrapping around her form as you pulled her into an embrace. "You're so cute, reyrey~" You pressed a peck on her cheeks, watching as she giggled.
Tumblr media
"You look so miserable right now.." Neteyam looked at you, slightly concerned. You slightly glare at him for stating that right in front of his friends. Ao'nung also turns to you, as if wanting to see you pathetic.
"Gee, thanks Neteyam. As if I hadn't known that already." You waved him off, tucing out for your ilu as you, Neteyam and few of his friends were getting ready for hunting.
"Awhh. You poor thing, are you homesick?" Rotxo perks up, frowning at you sympathetically. You looked at him for a slight second, dumbfounded.
"Are you.. awhing me? Skxawng." You turned away, huffing under your breath.
"If you're not gonna tell us, we're not leaving this place." Neteyam voiced out, watching as you paused. You turned to him, blankly.
"You boys wouldn't know. It's girl things, you'd find it hilarious if I told you." You commented. Ao'nung crosses his arms, feeling challenged at your words; "Oh really? Try me."
"Try US." Neteyam glances at him, correcting Ao'nung.
You blew raspberries, rolling your eyes. "It's not important."
"Yes it is. My sister only acts like this if something reaaally got on her nerves. So if you won't tell us, we'll force the information out of you." Neteyam perked up immediately after your statement.
"Come on, (nickname). We won't laugh at you, i promise." Rotxo smiles, encouraging you to speak up. You let out a frustrated sigh, your nonexistent brows furrowing as your nose scrunched. "Fine. But if one of you laughs, im setting an appointment for you in hell."
The three boys immediately stops whatever would distract them. Their ears perked up, listening to whatever you're gonna say.
"There's this boy," You eyes their reactions, creeper out by their weird stares. "I like him. But—"
"He likes someone else?!" Rotxo cuts you off, and you looked at him with a dumbfounded expression. The two remaining boys looked at you for confirmation, and you sighed as you nodded your head.
"Oh..." Neteyam pursed his lips, knowing who exactly you were talking about.
"..So? There's lots of boys here just practically waiting to get your attention in the village." Ao'nung breaks in, looking confused still.
"You don't get it, Ao'nung. This boy is someone I've spent practically my whole life with— and he just throws me away." You hissed slightly at the thought, distaste filling your tongue.
Rotxo makes a face as you revealed way too much, now feeling guilty for encouraging you to say why you're acting so miserable.
Neteyam looks at you sympathetically as you let go of your Ilu, looking done. "I can't believe I'm even talking to you boys about it right now." You whispered, looking down into the water as you hugged yourself.
"Look, I'm sure what you're feeling would eventually pass. It would be hard, but I promise you, it'll hurt less just as you slowly lose your feelings for him." Neteyam slightly touches your arm, smiling in comfort. You bit your tongue, wanting to say something but just let's it go.
"Let's just go hunting." You finally looked at them, grabbing the hunting gear from Ao'nung without a second thought. The boys looked at eachother as you swam away with your Ilu, wincing at the damage they just made.
"I take the blame." Rotxo raises his hand, making the two look at him blankly.
Tumblr media
"I'm getting good, y'know?"
You hummed at his words, listening intently as he told you about his day. Lo'ak claps his hands, continuing to boast about his progress with a smug smile.
"Lo'ak?"
He stopped talking at your words, looking at you expectantly when you called out to him. He raised a brow, watching as you tried to form tour words carefully. "..do you like that girl? Tsireya?"
Lo'ak's eats drooped at your question, his lips pursing nervously. You eyed his reactions, and smiled reassuringly. "You can trust me, Lo'ak." You patted his hand, waiting patiently at his answer.
"Truthfully. I don't know yet?" You hummed, understand where he was getting at. You ignored the stinging sensation in your chest as you forced yourself to listen to him about Tsireya.
If you were gonna move on from him, you're gonna have to confirm of he really likes Tsireya. It wouldn't be healthy if you continued to like the boy while he liked another one, your mama taught you better than that.
"She's nice, really caring as well. But I've only known her for a few days, but then again there's some kind if connection." He looks at you, observing as you were following his words.
"So you're unsure?" He nods at your question.
"..maybe I can help..? Help you figure out your feelings for her, I mean."
He looked hesitant by your words. But he eventually nods his head again, appreciating your offer. You slightly grinned, happy how he can trust you like how he did back at home.
"First, tell me how you feel about her."
Lo'ak clears his throat, humming in thought. "I think she's really sweet, friendly, and just over all likable. She's really cute too, y'know? Her encouragement and praises are so simple, but it just motivates me to keep learning." He smiles as he talks about her.
You notice his way of speaking about the girl, and that was when you finally accepted his feelings for her.
"Sounds like you like her.." You voice out, watching him snap to look at you in surprise.
"Seriously? But doesn't it seem.. weird? It's only been a few days." He shrugged, still finding it oddly weird that he can develop such feelings for Tsireya in just a few days. You slightly laughs at him, shaking your head.
"Lo'ak. If your feelings for her are genuine, pure, and just overall real, then there's no point in denying you like her. Loving and liking are two different things, liking can develop in just a few weeks or so, but loving is a different step." You grinned in amusement as he still remained unsure.
"You sure..?" He looks at you suspiciously. You put up a tight smile, nodding.
"I'm sure."
He let's out an exhale, his hand coming down from his face in literal disbelief. "Wow.. you girls are definitely a whole different breed when it comes to emotions." He awes, slightly grinning at the roll of your eyes.
"Oh please, it's not just us girls."
"No, seriously! Just think about it. You could tell I liked Tsireya just by listening me talk about her? Like, that's practically magic." He teases you. You scoffed playfully, shoving him slightly to the side.
You decide to humor him, and you nodded smugly. "Yknow what. Maybe it is magic?" He gasps, and you chuckled.
"Okay, stop that now." You scolded him, watching as he continues to gasp at you, looking at you as if you were some kind of wizard.
Tumblr media
Ao'nung sits beside you out of nowhere, following your line of gaze. He looks at Tsireya and Lo'ak playing in the water, watching as they splashed water on eachother while their cackles filled the air.
The boy turns to you, intently watching your side profile as the sunset perfectly lightened your face, the light complimenting your skin.
"You're smiling at them..? I thought you'd be sad." You grunted at the sound of his voice, turning to him, displeased that your mood got ruined.
"I'm smiling, because I'm happy." You gritted out, slouching your back as you huffed. "But now, I am sad because you ruined my mood."
"You're.. happy? Why?" He stupidly questioned. Just yesterday, you were acting so stiff and miserable to the point even his idiotic friend Rotxo noticed. But now you were happy for the cause of your miserableness yesterday? Man, girls do have weird moodswings.
"Because he's happy, Ao'nung. I took your stupid words yesterday, and also Neteyam's. I'm gonna move on." You spoke up, turning away from him.
He looks at you in realization. "Oh.. well good for you." He smiles. You glanced at him, your nose srunching in amusement. "If you're here to talk to me, you're doing a bad job." You perked up, your ears twitching as it caught the sound of Ao'nung's disappointed sound.
"You're words absolutely hurt, you know that? Be more nicer to me." Her pouts. You hide your amused grin from your hand, but your chuckles managed to reach his ears.
"I helped him realize his feelings for your sister earlier. We had a talk, and when I heard him talk about her so genuinely, I finally accepted that he wasn't the one for me." You suddenly said amongst the silence. Ao'nung straightens his posture upon hearing your words.
"Well, what's it for you then?"
"..what's what? I don't get what you mean." You turned to him with furrowed brows, confused by his point.
"Don't you want to feel loved, too?" His eyes flicked around your face, observing the perfect lighting that bounced off your smooth skin. You contemplated for a while. "I do want to feel loved. But I'm not gonna seek that from someone who's happy with someone else. I'm gonna eventually find someone who truly loves me, as do I with them, but now isn't the time for me." You state, watching as the boy awed at you words.
"That's pretty smart. I'm happy for you, (name)."
You grinned, "That's the first time you called me by my real name. usually you call me idiot." Ao'nung looks at you in faux surprise, a hand coming to his chest as he gasped. "I do not."
"You do!" You chuckled. Ao'nung shakes his head in disbelief, frowning at you. "You always make me sound like a bad guy."
"I do not."
"You do!"
"Now you're just imitating me." You crossed your arms across your chest, pouting as Ao'nung opened his mouth to say something idiotic again.
"I am not."
Lo'ak watches as you smiled at Ao'nung. He knew about your admiration for him, but he was too scared to tell you he doesn't feel the same way. Every day, he had to face you casually as if he wasn't guilty of what he felt about you.
It was equally as painful for him to watch you fall for him, back when you were both still at the forest. It hurt more when he saw you hurting when you see him with Tsireya.
He only saw you as a friend. Someone who he trusts, and always look forward to spending his day with. His feelings for you were never romantically, and he felt bad for leading you to thinking he felt the same just for treating you well.
He noticed your move when you talked to him about Tsireya. He was worried for a moment, but then you started to talk to him into helping him realize he has romantic feelings for the girl. He was slightly happy you were moving on from him. You deserve so much more than him, you deserve someone who wouldn't hurt you like how he did.
He wants to see you happy. That's all he wanted for you.

DO NOT ENGAGE IF YOU AREN’T 18+
You were currently on tour with Jack and Urban who happen to be your two best friends since elementary school. As long as you could remember it had always been the three of you.
Usually the three of you together normally equaled trouble.
Recently your boyfriend broke up with you because he had been cheating on you with a close friend of yours for close to a year.
Jack and Urban rightfully kicked his ass when they found out.
Since then you've been sad and a little depressed and Jack and Urban would do anything and everything to cheer you up and see you smile.
Jack decided that you needed a little distance in between you and your ex and asked if you wanted to spend a few weeks with him.
Of course you said yes.
The three of you were now in Paris enjoying the views from your hotel suite.
You were taking it all in since it was your first time being in Paris and you were loving every minute of it.
You were sitting on the couch in your own little world when Urban caught your attention by saying your name.
"Y/N, what's the most public place you've had sex?"
"How did we even get on this topic? We were literally just talking about shoes two minutes ago."
"Answer the question mamas."
"Yall nosey."
"We're your best friends so that's a given. Spill it."
"Grocery store parking lot at 9 am without tinted windows."
"Damn. I forgot you freaky as shit. Just begging to get caught."
"Oh, there was also a time in Cherokee Park. Then I can't forget the time on the airplane to Puerto Rico."
"What!? With who!?"
"You know better than to ask me that. A lady never kisses and tells."
"Well when I want to join the mile high club I know who to come to." Jack replied while taking a sip out of his water bottle and winking at you.
“Name the flight, baby. But... it was the captain.” You jokingly said while enjoying the view out of the window and seeing the lights across the city.
“WHAT?!”
"There is hardly any space but I still managed to ride him."
"Okay so you were on some contortionist ass shit."
"Jack Jack you don't know the half of it. But that was awhile ago." You replied while shrugging your shoulders and stealing chips from Urban.
"How long?"
"I don't want to say."
"Why? It's just us.”
“So?”
“We tell each other everything anyways.”
"Six months."
"WHAT?" They both collectively said before looking over at you.
"Yall need to shut the hell up. Stop making a big deal about it."
"Damn. No dick in six months?"
"You don't have to remind me Jackman."
"But.. wait.. I have an idea."
"I don't like when you get that look on your face but go on. Always some shit when the two of you get an idea and drag me along for the ride."
"What if me and Urban help you with your little situation?"
"Wait, what?" You now had a puzzled look on your face and was thoroughly confused as to what exactly he was getting at.
"You trust us, don't you?"
"Well yeah, but..."
"But what mamas?"
"Won't that make it awkward after the fact?"
"It's not weird unless one of us makes it weird."
"What do you say baby girl?"
"Both of you?"
They nodded.
"At the same time?"
"You have multiple holes for a reason. Let us take care of you. That's what friends are for right? The way your freaky ass be talking this is right up your alley.”
You contemplated for a few minutes before finally answering.
I mean you trusted the both of them with your life and knew that they wouldn’t do anything to hurt you in any way.
“Just one request.” You calmly said while looking between the both of them.
“Anything.”
“If either of you get cum in my hair, I am beating the absolute shit out of you. This weave was fucking expensive.”
“Hmm, that won’t be a problem as long as you swallow it.”
“Who said that I swallowed, Urby?”
“You, mamas. Multiple times. So don’t act like you don’t.”
Jack stifled a laugh before looking at you and smiling.
“Jackman, watch yourself.” You warned and he only smiled at you.
“Just wait on it mamas, you’re about to be begging us for mercy.”
“Hhmp. We’ll just have to see about that now won’t we?”
---
“Don’t be nervous. It’s just us.” Jack said while locking the door behind the three of you. Even though it was only the three of you in the suite, you weren’t going to take any chances of someone walking in.
“What is this? Luv is Dro? And easier said than done."
“Baby girl, stop playing.”
“I just want to see if you can back up all that shit you talk mamas. Going all those rounds and doing tricks on the dick.” Urban added while taking his shirt off and tossing it to the other side of the room.
Damn. You couldn’t wait to have his mouth on your pussy and Jack’s dick in your mouth and vice versa.
“Hmm... looks like it’s your lucky night then isn’t it?”
“Then get your ass over here and kiss me.”
He didn’t have to tell you twice.
You were now on all fours with Urban in front of you and Jack behind you and you were simply just trying to get your mind right and prepare yourself.
This was going to be a long night.
"Damn this a pretty ass pussy. You've been hiding this from us?" Jack said while sliding his fingers in you to get you ready to take him.
"You never asked to see it."
“Well now that I have, I want to see it more often.”
While Urban guided your face down wards so that you would be able to take him in your mouth, Jack slid in you from behind making a loud moan erupt from you.
“Damn, this shit is tight. You gonna be a good girl for us tonight and do what we say?”
You nodded your head as best you could while deep throating Urban as he pulled you closer by your hair that was now in a makeshift ponytail to take more of him in your mouth if that was even possible.
“Fuck, baby girl you look so pretty with my dick in your mouth.”
There were now tears flowing at a steady pace coming down your cheeks and you released him from your mouth with a pop in order to come up for air.
“Nuh uh, mamas. That dick better not come out of your mouth again until my cum is sliding down your throat. You understand? We can't get it in your pretty hair remember?"
You nodded your head, but Urban was not taking that as an answer.
“I think baby girl needs to use her words, Jack otherwise we’re not going to let her cum.”
When Jack heard this, he stopped his movement in and out of you immediately as they both waited for you to answer.
“Okay.”
“Much better.”
You took Urban back into your mouth as Jack continued his movements and he began pounding into you so hard that you were literally almost choking on Urban. It didn’t help that now Urban was holding you in place so that you didn’t even have the option to move if you wanted to.
"Such a good girl taking all of me at one time."
“Fuckkkkk.” Your words were muffled because of the current task that you were engaging in, but it still made Jack smirk none the less.
Without warning, you felt warm liquid shoot down the back of your throat. You were attempting to come up for air, but Urban had other plans.
“What did I tell you? Swallow it. Be a good girl and swallow it for me.”
Even though your mouth was full and had Urban’s cum leaking out of both sides of your mouth, you did your best to oblige.
“Damn, mamas.”
Jack was still behind you and he increased the pace of his movements before reaching around you to massage your clit.
“Oh shit, oh shiiiit!”
“Come on baby girl, cum all over my dick.”
It only took him four more thrusts into you before you released all over him.
“Urban, switch with me.”
They kept you in the middle as they switched positions and you were now face to face with Jack.
“Be a good girl and taste yourself.”
You immediately took him into your mouth as you felt Urban slide underneath you and began to eat you out.
“OOHH SHIT.”
“Stop moving or I won’t let you cum. You better take this shit.”
It hadn’t even been a good thirty minutes, but neither of them were letting up. You were touched starved after not having been in a situation like this for six months and you honestly were loving every minute of it.
You just knew you wouldn’t be able to walk tomorrow.
You did as you were told by Urban to stay still and your legs began to shake and you started to get that familiar feeling in your lower stomach.
You released yourself from off of Jack screaming out Urban’s name.
“Fuckkkk, Urban.”
“Come on pretty girl, cum in my mouth.”
And that was all it took.
However, you still had Jack in your mouth when he suddenly got a bright idea.
“Hold on mamas.”
He pushed you upwards before sending his cum all over your chest and down your stomach.
You simply looked at him and rolled your eyes.
“Had to make sure, I didn’t get it in your hair, remember?”
“Hmm, I guess I can give you a free pass.” You answered before gliding your finger along your chest filled with Jack’s cum and placing it into your mouth to suck on.
“Hmm, who knew you both would taste so sweet.”
“Open your mouth.” You did as you were told as Jack eagerly spit into it before kissing you.
Damn, you instantly got wet all over again.
“There’s a lot more where that came from now flip your ass over.”
It had been at least ten minutes and Jack would not let you cum making you grow frustrated. He would insert his fingers into you and as soon as he felt you getting close, he would immediately pull away from you.
"Let me cum got dammit!"
"You haven't cum this much in like 6 months, you can wait a little longer."
"Jackkkk!"
"Stop squirming. I'll stop right now."
“But...”
Urban was currently giving your breasts his undivided attention and you just knew you were about to cum just from his movements alone from them being so sensitive. However, when Jack would stop his movements, he would stop too.
“I cannot fucking stand either one of you.”
“Hmm, is that how you treat your best friends? We’ve already made you cum multiple times and I mean, we can stop right now.”
“Jackman, I swear if you stop right now I’m going to kill you.”
“Then be patient, baby.”
“I didn’t sign up for you to be edging me all night!”
“Hmm, mamas I’m just getting started. Be careful who you catch an attitude with because I can do this shit for as long as I please and not make you cum anymore. Is that what you want?”
“No!”
“Then tell me what you want.” Jack asked as he increased the number of fingers into you as well as increasing the pace at the same time.
He was met with silence and looked up at you.
“Y/N, come on baby, use your words.”
“I want to cum!”
“How bad, baby? How bad do you want it?”
“EHHH JACK!”
Your orgasm hit you like a ton of bricks and resulted in you screaming at the top of your lungs.
You also didn’t notice how you squirted all over Jack’s face.
“Got damn! You didn’t tell us you were a squirter.”
It took you a few seconds to compose yourself to be able to answer him.
“Because I didn’t know.” You said between heavy breaths and all Jack did was smile at you.
“Hmm, who would’ve thought it would take you fucking your best friends to find out.”
Suddenly Jack flipped you over so that you were on top of him.
“Alright mamas, you talk so much shit about how your dick riding game is amazing so, get to it.”
“You have got to give me a second.” You were still trying to catch your breath and attempting to compose yourself.
“No, I don’t think so.”
You rolled your eyes before easing your way down onto Jack as Urban inserted himself from behind.
The new sensation you were feeling was insane and you couldn’t get enough of it.
“Shit, babe.” Jack exclaimed while holding onto your hips steadying your pace which you quickly got annoyed with, but you needed for him to guide you because you felt like your legs were about to give out at any second.
“Damn it! Shit... faster Urban.”
“Your wish is my command, baby girl.”
With the increase in pace from both of them, you knew that you weren’t about to last much longer.”
“Is baby girl going to cum all over my dick again?”
“OOOHHH FUCK!”
“Come on, you’re been such a good girl for us. You can cum once more. You can take it.”
Jack then reached up to rub small circles along your clit with all of you then cumming at the same time.
Urban removed himself from you while Jack followed soon after.
You collapsed on top of Jack trying to catch your breath and all he did was bring you into a hug while letting out a laugh.
“You alright over there mamas?”
“Hmm...”
“Well she’s making noise so at least we know she’s alive.” Urban replied while taking in the scene in front of him.
“Sooooo.”
“I definitely want to see that pretty pussy more often.”
“I bet you do.”
“Oh, and mission accomplished. Your hair is cum free.”
“Yeah, even though you got mighty close for a second.” You replied while rolling your eyes.
“Look, don’t start. You know you liked that shit.”
You simply rolled your eyes as you took your place on the bed between the both of them.
“Get some sleep, mamas. We’re not done with you yet.”
“Wait, what?!”
“Don’t tell me that you thought we were finished....”
“You better rest up now, we got a long night ahead of us.”

This was requested but the ask disappeared but I took a screenshot of it so @fungifanart this is for you. I also split it in two because of how long they are. I had trouble writing this prompt for some reason? I hope it doesn't affect the quality and didn't stray too far.
Content: Scenarios, Unamicable break ups: EX-boyfriends described as controlling, disrespectful, jealous, violent and mentioned to have cheated. Not all in one scenario. Songs aren't written down in scenarios, characters are friends with the reader. established friendships, platonic leaning, hurt/comfort(?), angst/fluff. I'm not that good at angst.
Nicknames:
Kalim calls reader: Habibi
Leona calls reader: Little Mouse/Squeaks
Reader info: masc reader(terms like boyfriend will be used), he/him pronouns(maybe a slip up of they/them), reader written to be part of their dorm. Reader's band is like a niche popular. Whether it was made before or after NRC changes on scenario, No bodily mentions(shape, hair, ECT.). Is good at singing.
Reader is characterized as:
Kalim- Disliking talking about themselves and things that upset them. Avoids being even a minor inconvenience. Doesn't like upsetting others, Athletic?(a one-off joke)
Leona- Easily emotionally overwhelmed/burned out(?). Knows Jack and is on friendly terms.
Kalim Al Asim:
CW:food mentions(none consumed), Sad Kalim. A partner who controlling, jealous and verbally abusive is mentioned but not in-depth.
As soon as Kalim heard that his dormmate's band was having their first concert since the beginning of the NRC academic year, he bought tickets for Jamil, his Light Music Club co-members and himself. It was a bit away but Kalim didn't want to risk it.
Jamil raised his eyebrow at Kalim as his phone alerted him of the receipt for his concert ticket. Kalim didn't notice right away as he typed messages to Cater and Lilia to ask if they got the tickets.
Finally catching his look Kalim smiled sheepishly.
"We have to go support him! As both his friends and dormmates," Kalim attempts to plead for his case. Jamil sighed. Kalim acted like he had any say in this. Jamil just continued sorting through balances writing down the tickets Kalim just bought. Someone had to keep track.
Kalim was very excited about the concert. It was the only thing he could think about during his time in class. Upon returning to his dorm he went to his room to plan out his outfit for the concert. Jamil had excused himself to do prep for dinner and start his assignments.
Kalim idly hummed shifting through his wardrobe. The jacket I wanted wasn't in this one. Maybe Jamil knows where it is. Kalim begins the trek to the kitchen. He's focused on the question, repeating it in his head. Sadly this was no use as upon seeing another in the corridor the question escaped his brain.
"Heeey! I'm so excited for the concert. I ordered tickets as soon as they became available," Kalim gave a big smile full of teeth. Gold jewelry clanking against each other as he waved.
Short of acting spontaneously deaf he couldn't pretend to have not heard Kalim. Turning around to see his Dormleader fast approaching tensing when Kalim almost crashed straight into him but caught himself right before.
"It's very sweet of you. You caught me at an inopportune time. I just received bad news and I wouldn't want to burden you with it."
Kalim blinked watching his friend speed walk away. His friend is upset and he doesn't know why!
"It's not a burden! We're friends and friends help each other. Why are you running?!?"
---
Kalim walked into the kitchen with a pout. Jamil spying him stashed all the dangerous utensils away from him.
"Something the matter?" Jamil asks brows furrowing concerned Kalim got hurt in his absence. Jamil scanned over Kalim's visage. Other than being a little disheveled, Kalim was looking fine. Kalim watched Jamil cook as he explained why he's upset.
"Then they ran from me. I ran after trying to see if I could help but they shook me off. Slid down one of the curtains from the second story."
Kalim said it so casually Jamil had to pause his actions to look at him. One, two seconds pass before Jamil returns to his task.
"Maybe they just didn't want to talk about it right now and didn't want to upset you by saying it." Jamil says while giving the contents of the pan a stir.
"Why would it upset me," Kalim asks. Jamil's various memories flash through his head like a slide projector.
"It's just a thought. Let them come to you," Jamil turned to Kalim, hoping it'll distract him enough to leave their poor dormmate alone. Empty air greeted him. Jamil let out a full-bodied sigh laying his upper body on the counter. He stayed there until he's reminded of consequences as the smell of burning fills his nose.
-
Kalim pouted working on his homework with Jamil. The later was kind of envious. Their dormmate had successfully avoided Kalim for an entire week.
"Jamil, do you know what happened to him?" Kalim looked up from his history work.
"I won't confirmed or deny," is the only response Jamil gives.
"Am I the one that upset them? Did I do something that's taboo in their culture, did I-" Jamil cut Kalim off.
"It's not you who hurt him. Let him work this out on their own. Give him time. What if you ask him at the concert?" Jamil fakes a thinking face. Kalim nods tucking the advice away for now to focus on his homework. He passed off the distressed furrow of his brow as stress from the work.
-
Kalim forgot to ask Jamil about the jacket.
Lilia had promptly tossed his jacket at him within microseconds of Kalim having a hint of a chill.
"I've survived subzero temperatures in only my delicates, I can survive a slight chill." Lilia said when Kalim expressed worry. Everyone hopes that it's a joke. Cater occupied in his phone is then wacked with the parasol Lilia carried. Forcing him to have to step aside to use is phone camera to readjust it.
Jamil searched in his bag for sunscreen he'd already applied some but knows Kalim nor Lilia has even glanced at a bottle today. He'd seen Cater zealously put some on earlier. After Kalim sheepishly applied his share. Jamil handed it to Lilia
"Why thank you. How kind of you to care for my porcelain complexion," Lilia teases accepting Jamil's offer. Kalim took Lilia's umbrella holding it up to keep the sun off him. Jamil judged the application before shoving the sunscreen back in the bag.
"We should get in before someone steals our seats!" Cater says waving the hand holding his phone to gather their attention.
"Yes, We should." Jamil guides them down the aisles.
"Thanks for getting us tickets. It was a pleasant surprise," Lilia says. Cater makes an affirmative hum in agreement.
"I hope they have cute merch," Cater comments as they reach their row.
"They probably will. They have an Octavinelle band member after all."
"Do you think The Monstro Lounge get a cut of profits?" "Probably."
Kalim scanned the stage then, slumped in his seat as he didn't see them. Cater spies this; constraining his expression he smiled continuing his conversation with Lilia.
Kalim perked up in his seat. "There they are!"
The group turns to the stage. Jamil places his hand on Kalim's shoulder to keep him in his seat.
"Am I allowed to record?" Carter's question is left unanswered as the band starts their introduction.
-
Some of the crowd was leaving, others talking amongst themselves, and the rest lingering around the merch trying to decide if they should buy some. Jamil turned his focus for a moment together the group's supplies.
I should have Kalim reapply his sunscreen, Jamil thought slipping the bottle out of his bag.
"Kalim,.. " Jamil makes eye contact with Lilia. Looking around it was just them. Did Cater take Kalim to get Merch? Jamil hoped at least. Scanning the tables where the merch is sold be didn't see them. Of course.
"Excuse me, Lilia, I need to find Kalim." Jamil slips the bottle of sunscreen back into the bag. Lilia pouts.
"Yes, yes, abandon the old man to the wastes." Lilia laments. Jamil turns to deny that intention before realizing.
"You're in on it. You don't know Kalim like I do. Kalim will never forgive himself." Jamil felt a little silly scolding Lilia. He just didn't like his work to be wasted along with unappreciated.
"Oh? Is that so? Would Kalim be happier not knowing? Yes, maybe. But is it right to deny him growth in relationships and his self?" Jamil squints at Lilia. Lilia is just stalling, he affirms.
"Have fun!" Lilia calls as Jamil storms off. He turns to a stranger, "Youngins and their emotional turmoil am I right." They just went along not knowing how to respond to that.
It was just them, Cater saying he'd hold the fort. Kalim wasn't fully sure what he meant by that but gave a nod. The air was stuffy in the backstage room, the silence awkward.
"I'm sorry for avoiding you, Kalim."
"No, no, no it's okay. I shouldn't have tried to get you to open up when you weren't ready. Do you feel better know. Singing emotional songs help me feel better so I hope you feel better." Kalim smiled. Immediately dropping it when he didn't get one in response.
"I did something wrong didn't I?" Kalim asks.
"No. That's why I didn't want to talk to you about it. You'd blame yourself."
"I don't understand. Please-"
"I broke up with my boyfriend."
Kalim was slack jawed and wide eyed. Shock slowly turns to understanding. He'd been the one to introduce them.
"Can I ask, why?"
"He was fine at first. Nice even. He waited few months then started being controlling, when I didn't listen to him he started saying things. Both about me and others. I wasn't going to take that and dumped him."
"I didn't want you to blame yourself for what happened because we wouldn't have gotten together because of you."
"I understand, Habibi. I do feel a little guilty but appreciate you telling me.."
"It's okay. People hide the worst parts of themselves until they can no longer. It happens." They give eachother knowing looks.
Awkwardly, Jamil cleared his throat. Cater, in the doorway behind Jamil, looked apologetically.
"We should eat!" Kalim chirped. Cater catches on promoting them going to a nearby restaurant. "It only uses local ingredients and has bomb presentation." Cater hooks his arm around Jamil guiding him back out. Kalim paused trailing off them to pull his friend into a hug. Gently holding his arms Kalim gives them a soft squeeze.
"Invite your band mates to join us!"
-
Kalim listened attentively to the explanation to how the song was written. How some lyrics were actual things he said. The Ignihyde student straight out pulled up some texts he sent. Though this earned some concerned and worried stares. Where did he get these?
Lilia gives Jamil a smug look. Jamil refused to give him the satisfaction of emotion.
"Do you feel silly? Perchance a little goofy?"
Jamil ignored the prodding. Maybe Lilia would get tired. Lilia didn't get tired. Cater documented it.
Leona Kingscholar
CW: food mentions, cheating partner,
Leona knew this scenario was bound to happen but had it have to be during his siesta? He opened one bright green eye and a swivel of his ear to signal his attention was being given. His ear returned to its resting state after hearing the info he already knew. Rolling to his side he lazily waved to the space next to him.
"Sit down or I'm going back to sleep," thinking about it Leona's tempted. Shifting of cloth and the thud of weight hitting the ground. Taking a breath pushing down an 'I told you so.'
"Tell me about it. I need to know how bad I should beat them," Leona said. It was a joke but the silence started to prompt a reconsideration of its validity as a joke.
"He cheated on me." A monotone voice filled Leona's ears. Too emotionally tired to express his emotions. Leona lets a few moments pass before trying to change the topic.
"The herbivore's herd came tromping through the botanical garden the other day. Real interesting conversation about your band. Playing a concert soon. Surely not true, a Little Mouse would have told me if it was. I'm not going to make fun of your bad music," Leona voice was even with a little amused lilt conveying he wasn't truly upset .
"Didn't think you'd be interested."
"I'm offended. An excuse to leave Night Raven College without having to see my family. There's an after party right?"
"We usually do."
"Good. I also get food. The trinity. No school. No family. Yes, food. Speaking of food," Leona says, standing up with a stretch. "Let's get food right now. Don't worry this time is on me."
-
Leona was surprised that the invite allowed a plus one. He figured might as well bring someone. That someone ended up being Jack Howl. Who was trying to stay stoic as he looked around.
Jack could take care of himself so Leona wandered the venue avoiding the large groupings of people.
He made his way towards the stage. Any objections we're silenced by a sharp glare. He probably could get a quick rest.
-
Leona groaned as he is semi-violently shook awake. Jack had found him and starts explaining why he woke him up. Leona stopped him.
"Ssh. Squeaks is about to address the crowd." Jack looked confused ear turning towards the stage hearing his dorm mate being to explain that they'll be debuting new songs during this show. At least he started to before the crowds enthusiasm drowned it out. Jack relented nonetheless.
Leona glanced at Jack's bag of merch.
"You got something for yourself?" Leona halfheartedly pointed at a shirt peaking out of the bag.
"I can support whomever I like." Folding the bag to hid the evidence. Jack doesn't remove his gaze from the stage. Leona now amused moved his attention to the stage.
Oh. He's singing now. Has he actually heard him sing before? Jack seemed enraptured. He must have never heard him sing either. The scrunch of Jack's face scrunched as he digested the lyrics.
"Leona, did something happen?"
"Yeah, their ex cheated on them."
Jack balked.
"I asked if I could tell you. He said if it came up I could."
Jack nodded. Leona could see some gears turning. He's going to have to compete to get to him first.
-
Leona invited himself backstage. The band members looked startled exchanging glances with one another. Most shrugged. The drummer made sure to shake his head and make it clear that he did not invite another groupie backstage. Again.
"He's a friend of mine," the members looked at their lead singer before continuing their tasks. Most packing equipment into their cases.
"Got the voice of an angel. Brought tears to my eyes. Hypnotized me to get a shirt," Leona teased hoisting the article up for him to see.
"It's too small for you though."
"Maybe I wanted a crop top?..." Leona sighs catching the unbelieving expression from both his friend and their eavesdropping band members.
"You got me. It's for Ruggie. I was going to bring him along but something came up that one of us had to stay behind. I brought that goodie two shoes Jack instead. Apparently his younger siblings like your music and he wanted to get merch for their birthdays."
"That's-" Leona interrupted, "Don't finish that thought." He let him finish packing up.
After parsing that the other band members were gone Leona leaned into his eat.
"You can still let me get the guy if you want," Leona withdrew at the look he was given holding his hands up. Ruggie's shirt laid over his shoulder. "Please say yes or Jack is going to beat me to it."
Leona followed, being invited to ride back to NRC on the bus. Jack had already been joinked but the Diasomnia band member.
"Oh, I got an album. Gonna play that one song outside you-know-who's room." Leona pulled the cd case from his back pocket.
"There's others that sleep there as well."
Leona mumbled a 'right.' He fanned himself with the case. Free arm pulling himself onto the van. Sitting in a vacant spot he used his nails to tear the plastic and pry open the case.
"Would ya sign it, maybe get the others to sign it as well for Ruggie," Leona asks, letting him take it from him. "Maybe sign some of Jack's stuff. It's for his siblings. Big fans." Jack jumped at being addressed and went to deny the need even as he was halfway done already. Signature practiced under the guidance of their Octavinelle member. Jack let it go.
-
It was re-entering the dorm when Leona started attempting to convince him to fight their ex. Usually Leona would let it be but now it's more to make them laugh.
"Just a scratch. I'll make it count. A
I'll aim for the eyes."
"I'll think about it." Leona scanned for reaction. Jack just left for his room perplexed.
