the liver thing isn't like a disease or a disorder or anything it's just genetic variance and can go either way. it's that guy who needs 2 paracetamol instead of 1, or that absolute bastard who only has to take half a pill
it becomes a Fucking Annoyance when you're far enough away from the bell curve that shit just doesn't work, or doesn't work enough to warrant taking. it is extra a Fucking Annoyance because you will go your whole life wondering why things simply don't affect you whilst doctors repeatedly either accuse you of lying because they don't know it can be a thing, or go through drug after drug after drug all metabolised the same way and which naturally don't work before giving up.
the fact it's considerably more common in people with chronic pain conditions (for reasons), and people with chronic pain being labelled drug seekers, are probably related.
the fact that ultra-rapid metabolisation on typically the most annoying pathway is most common in people from the middle east and... i think north africa? but very rare in white people (without chronic pain) is also for sure something ain't it (actually it's way more common in painless white people to go the other way and need less drugs. 7-10%. if you were wondering. you weren't)

Family therapy: A promising future.
Tumblr media
-What do you think of “dad”? The first place medal again, aren't you proud of me?- After the flash of the photo I looked at his old and tired face, he barely made a small smile that seemed totally fake, I knew what was hidden behind his smile, only jealousy and bitterness, I was sure what was going through his mind right now:
“That should be me, you stole my youth, my life, my triumphs”
But I think deep down he knew that all of that was a lie, he wouldn't have been able to get to where his body is now if it wasn't for me his father, Before I took his life he was just a teenager slowly approaching failure.
-HEY! Let's take a picture with just the guy for the hall of fame
My Ex-wife Karol and my son Nathan walked away from me and The photographer started taking pictures of my perfect body, When I did a double bicep curl the camera flash focused completely on me, My son Nathan's face of defeat In my old body was just funny. Maybe at one point Nathan could have accomplished all of this on his own, but now he was just a sad, overweight old man.
-Congratulations… “Son”-
Tumblr media
Before I was a retired man, I used to be a teacher and had seen hundreds of kids like my son Nathan, he started skipping a few classes, failing most of the tests, going to the infirmary in PE and then getting caught smoking pot with his friends behind school. I knew if I didn't do something drastic, what would be the end of my son Nathan frying French fries at McDonald's and living in a tiny apartment with his teenage sweetheart who is pregnant.
His mom and I were so sick of Nathan we started fighting, and it led to a divorce, the only thing I had left in my life was Nathan and I couldn't let that last one slip through my hands.
Since there was someone who could help me and that was my old boss and friend, Principal Morris, we had done this trick so many times to deal with the Bullies in the school, just swapping their bodies for a week with their victims would make them turn model students.
I called him and I found out my problem with my son, without asking him, he gave me the recipe for his secret elixir, the body swapping potion, it was enough for two people to drink a bit of that potion, and they would immediately be in each other's bodies, and that I did I poured some into my coffee and into Nathan's breakfast juice, he didn't even notice the taste he drank every drop of that juice until he started to feel the effects of the potion.
Just a little dizziness, A little sleep and a blink later Our souls traded places occupying each other's bodies. Nathan was so confused by the identical person in front of him that he ran off to his room like a madman, he didn't even realize his huge belly was bouncing up and down as he ran his little feet around his old room where I sleep now.
Meanwhile, I was left alone in the dining room admiring my new youth In the kitchen mirror, It felt good to be a teenager again Although there was a lot of work to be done, I ran my hands over my soft and weak arms, but I already had everything planned, he had even bought a membership to the gym that was close to Nathan's school.
When everything seemed calmer in Nathan's room, pretending totally that you didn't know what hadn't happened, I spent hours pretending that I was on the computer looking for my information on body switching and things like that so that Nathan wouldn't suspect that I had something. What to do with this
I tried to calm him down by telling him that he wouldn't have to worry about anything in my body, he could sit his ass on the sulfate all day Watching TV or playing his video games and no one would notice that he was really just a 15-year-old, meanwhile I would go to the school and would pretend to do it.
As the years passed I improved Nathan's life, in just one year Nathan's life improved, his grades were perfect, and all the dedication I put into Nathan's diet and gym paid off, Nathan's adolescent muscles reacted very well to protein powder and weight lifting.
Tumblr media
I got rid of the good for nothing, my son's friends and started making new friends at the gym my Gym bros, It's great to be young again, making friends is so easy, especially when you look as big and handsome as me.
Tumblr media
And while I was living My second life they need, he didn't seem to get used to his new life, he avoided leaving the house as much as possible, and he became grumpy, all he does is clean the house, go to the supermarket and spend all day insulting kids his age while playing online video games, He hates when I walk shirtless around the house demanding my hard horny muscles or when I pose for the pictures I post on my new Instagram, he was so upset that his life has improved so much that he refused to give me his social media passwords, but it's okay there's nothing to make me proud of old Nathan.
Maybe in a couple of years when Nathan learns what it's like to be an adult responsible for getting back into his body In the meantime I'll enjoy myself a little more being a teenager, maybe I'm ready for dating now, I've always wanted to try something new, and I can't stop From looking at all the hot guys in the gym, and they keep staring at me, I don't think Nathan will mind if I fuck a guy or two while I'm in his body.
Tumblr media

I Don't Need to Break Down, You Still Found Me - Nikolai Lantsov Imagine [Shadow & Bone]
Tumblr media
Title: I Don't Need to Break Down, You Still Found Me
Pairing: Nikolai Lantsov X Reader
Word Count: 1,572 words
Warning(s): mention of unhealthy relationship (manipulation, burnout) and unhealthy family
Summary: [Inspired by "Slow Burn" by J. Maya] A new person joins Sturmhond's crew but refuses to talk about their history. One late night reveals secrets about the new member and the captain... and leads to a realization about whatever is between the two of them.
Author's Note: Y'all. This song is so beautiful.
------------------
I could still remember the nervousness that crawled around my stomach as I stood on the ship for the first time.
The entire crew had been standing there, staring at me as we waited for the captain to come out. It felt like a test. As if they were trying to see if I would crack and run for it. Sadly for them, my need to run from this place was far stronger than my fear.
The captain came out. He was introduced as Sturmhond. I had to bite back the urge to make a comment about how fake that name sounded.
I was asked why I wanted to be there.
I lied and said that I was curious about the world and this ship was my only chance to truly see it.
That seemed to impress him. I could see it in the smirk he offered me as he tilted his head for just a second.
He asked what I could offer.
I didn't lie about that. I didn't have any money to offer him. I had nights upon nights memorizing the layout of any map I could find. I could show them places that may have never considered before.
He raised an eyebrow at me. I felt his eyes tracing over me. Testing me much like the rest of his crew had.
"Come with me," he said simply. I readjusted my small bag on my shoulder and followed him. He ended up leading me to a bunk in the far corner. "This is where you'll stay. We'll assign you to a proper role soon enough."
"Alright," I nodded. He was walking away by the time I spoke up again. "Th-Thank you! Sturmhond, thank you."
"Just don't make me regret it."
I grinned at him, promising that I wouldn't.
I spent weeks trying to prove myself on that ship. Not that I truly needed to. The crew had warmed up to me far faster than I ever expected them to. Even their captain seemed to already be convinced that he wouldn't regret allowing me to join them.
Sturmhond.
He was an interesting man. Throughout my time on his ship, we grew close. It felt like we grew far closer than we should have in such a short period of time. But spending time with him was accompanied by this feeling of calmness that I couldn't make sense of yet felt like I couldn't without.
It wasn't fair that he could have such an effect on me so easily. But I still held onto it. It may have been the best part of being on that ship.
Truly, the only problem I encountered was at night.
Night watch had become the best thing for me. At least then, no one could question why I seemed to get almost no sleep.
But on the nights when I wasn't on watch, I had no excuse. I just had to hide in my little corner and hope that no one realized that I wasn't sleeping nearly as much as I needed to.
No one confronted me about it.
Not until one night.
I was standing near the railing. It was the first night that the corner that I had been hiding in finally felt too small. I needed the moment alone with the air. The night watch was too focused on whatever card game they were playing. To be completely honest, I don't think any of them even knew that I was there. I didn't think that anyone did.
"Trouble sleeping?"
I jumped at the sound of a voice. I looked over to see Sturmhond standing at the base of the steps next to me. He held up his hands up.
"Sorry," he said.
"It's alright," I grinned. "Night watch is over there playing cards."
"Well, I wasn't looking for them," he shrugged. "I saw that your bunk was empty, so I wanted to check on you."
"That's very kind of you," I replied. "Was this your normal nightly act of kindness or were you also struggling to sleep?"
He chuckled. "I would like to say both. Rarely sleep well."
I nodded, quietly agreeing with the sentiment. I had rarely slept well since I made it to the ship.
I moved to sit on the top of the steps.
"I'd be glad to keep you company," he offered. "Sit, talk, anything you wish."
"Okay," I nodded.
There was a long pause between us. I expected him to speak first and choose the course of the discussion. But he didn't.
"I don't know what you want me to say," I forced a chuckle.
"You could always start with the truth," he suggested.
I had to actively fight my smile from dropping at the statement. I knew what he was asking. I just didn't want to show him that in the hopes that I could still get out of talking about it. I tilted my head at him.
"I could go first," he added. "If it makes you feel better."
I raised an eyebrow at him.
He took a few steps up so our faces were level. He leaned over so he could whisper to me, "My name isn't Sturmhond."
"I knew it," I said. He shushed me quietly, laughing to himself. "What's your name?"
He took a deep breath as if he were embarrassed. "Nikolai."
I tried to hold my laugh back, but it didn't work very well. I ended up trying to stifle my laugh.
"Shush-"
"Nikolai," I muttered to him. "You were ashamed of the name Nikolai, so you landed on Sturmhond?
"I wasn't ashamed of my name."
"Then why change it?"
"Why did you lie about why you wanted on this ship?" he countered.
I froze. My smile dropped and I stared at him. I didn't want to talk about this. I didn't even want to think about it anymore. But here I was, left with no choice. I either told him the truth or tried to fight him. I would never win a fight against his crew.
"(Y/n)-"
"Why do you want to know about it," I asked. "Why does it matter?"
"I need to know about any risk to my crew."
I closed my eyes.
"I need to know what risk you're facing, so I can ensure that I- we can do the most to protect you."
I looked at him again and saw nothing but concern gracing his features. Eyebrows drawn up in the middle, a frown forming on his lips, his eyes dancing around my face for the answers that I wasn't saying out loud.
"It's... There was a guy," I managed to mutter out. "We were meant to be together forever. My parents were convinced of the fact. But he didn't want me. He wanted to be wanted. Needed. I didn't always make him feel that way. And I hated how I felt when I did."
"Did he hurt you-"
"Saints, no," I shook my head. "He just enjoyed thinking that I was fighting for him. When I didn't seem to be, he deemed that I didn't love him. That I was just selfish. I was just being... drained. Running was the only way for me to get out without him trying to guilt me into staying."
"Do you think he'll look for you?"
"No," I replied. "I think he'll find someone new. I just couldn't face my family. They'd just tell me to go back."
"Why didn't you tell me the truth?"
"I thought that you would turn me away," I shrugged. "That my situation wouldn't be serious enough for you."
I felt a hand reach out and touch mine.
"You deserve more," he said quietly. "So much more."
"I know... that's why I had to leave."
There was this moment.
This moment where the two of us locked eyes. Silence on both sides. I was suddenly hit with every moment where I had looked at him and felt that odd peace. That peace that hadn't quite made sense at the time. But now, nothing made more sense to me.
"(Y/n)-"
I cut Nikolai off by leaning over to press my lips to his. His hands landed on each side of me as he slowly kissed me back.
I felt the flames crawling along my skin. Slow enough for me to know it was there. Careful enough to warm my skin without scorching me. It merely crawled through my blood and laid in my veins like a comfortable blanket on a freezing day. I could feel how warm I had gotten during the kiss. And I didn't mind the feeling at all.
It was everything that I had ever craved. I had lost faith in ever finding this. All I needed now was for Nikolai to feel the same way that I did.
I pulled away first, grinning at him. "Was that okay?"
I watched the smile slowly stretch across his face before he spoke, "Yeah. It was... far more than okay."
I slowly nodded.
He slowly stepped back, reaching out a hand to help me up and lead me down the steps. "I think it's time for both of us to get some much-needed rest, don't you?"
"I couldn't agree more," I replied.
He leaned in and kissed me again. It was shorter this time, but that didn't stop him from offering me another smile.
This was a feeling that I could easily get used to.

SCHOOL WAS THE LAST PLACE I WANTED TO BE RIGHT NOW. Surrounded by people who I hated, who hated me. No one knew besides Kenny and Kyle, but somehow it felt like everyone was staring at me. Like everyone did actually know. I hated it. As if the perfect way to pull me out of my hatred, a was roughly knocked into by one of my fellow peers, watching as he let my book tumble to the ground, and break. Fantastic.
“Your book fell apart.” He teased, laughing as he and his friends walked away. I nodded, bending down to pick up my book, glaring at his chuckling face.“It must have looked at your face.” He said again, making his friends laugh even harder.
The funny thing is that Steve Rendazo secretly wants me. Jocks like him always want freaky girls. Girls with horn-rimmed glasses and vegan footwear and goth makeup. Girls who, like, play the cello and read McSweeney's…And wanna be children's librarians when they grow up. Oh, yeah, jocks totally eat that shit up. They won't admit it because they're supposed to be into cheerleaders. Like Wendy, who incidentally is into emo losers like my brother.
“All right, people. We're doing a chromatography lab today. So find your partners and break into groups of four.” Our science teacher announced, making me smile over at Kyle as he smiled nervously back. I couldn't tell if the nervous smile was due to my visit the other day or if it was just his normal awkward teenage boy smile, but he seemed a tad more nervous than usual. We moved to get with our lab groups, me and Kyle standing beside each other opposite Clyde and Bebe, our usual lab partners.
Beside my boys, I had always been rather close with the girls as well. Bebe included, which was what drew us to group together in the lab. I loved Bebe, and I loved Clyde just as much, but it was easy to say work was rather difficult to complete with the two lovebirds. And bless his poor little soul, but I have absolutely no idea how Clyde managed to get into this class in the first place. I'm almost positive he cheated on Kyle's placement test.
“Well, there's nothing like experimenting.” I said, extra cheerily making Kyle chuckle nervously, before handing me his notebook.
“I did the prep questions for this lab, so you can copy my answers…” He said, making me pout at him.
“Oh, I couldn't copy your work.” I said, smiling at him as he turned to me with furrowed eyebrows.
“You copy my work every week.”
“True.” I sighed, taking his notebook. “I'm kind of a deadbeat lab partner.” He pouted back at me, reciprocating the look I gave him earlier.
“I think you definitely bring something to the table.” He reassured me, picking up the small round paper for us to begin our lab.
“Charisma.” I said, both Kyle and I nodding with agreement, before I turned to the other two, clapping my hands with even more fake cheer than before. “So who's ready for some chromomagnificence?” I asked, and Bebe sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose and looking down at the ground.
“I have a menstrual migraine, so I can't look at bright lights.” Bebe said, rubbing her temples lightly. Clyde sighed, looking up at the ceiling with evident annoyance.
“Bebe, I told you to go to the infirmary and lie down. You never listen to me.” Clyde whined, making Bebe scoff, rage suddenly forming in her face as she turned to Clyde.
“No, Clyde, because I don't take orders. Not from you and not from any man.” Bebe hissed, glaring at Clyde, cousin the boy to shrink down slightly, looking at the other side of the room to avoid her eyes. Like I said, work was very difficult.
“You've been acting like this since I got back from my cousin's in Boulder. I told you, nothing happened.” Clyde groaned, and Kyle looked between the two nervously, before looking back at me.
“I'm gonna set up the apparatus. Juno, do you wanna plug in the Bunsen burner?” Kyle said, carefully placing my safety goggles on my face, leaving a red tint where his fingers gently brushed my skin. He didn't think anything of it, I'm sure he didn't…but I did.
“My pleasure.” I smiled, snapping myself out of my gaze, about the turn on the bunsen burner before Bebe spoke up again.
“I'm going to the infirmary.” She slowly stood, smiling softly at me about to walk away.
“Call when you get off the rag.” Clyde grumbled, making Bebe snap and turn to him angrily. I turned the bunsen burner on, and it was as if the fire on our table raged inside Bebe as well.
“Fine!” She shouted, her blonde curls whipping around to her back. “Call when you learn to love instead of cheating at your cousin's, and cry about it...Because you had four Smirnoff Ices and Snow Peak Peach Boones!” She quickly walked away before Clyde could anger her further, as both Kyle and I looked at Clyde awkwardly.
“I've actually heard that the Snow Peak Peach flavor...Is the best flavor of Boone's. Isn't that right, Ky?” I said softly, elbowing Kyle to catch his attention and save me from the awkwardness I ultimately walked right into. Kyle just looked at Clyde and nodded, before we all gulped silently in the awkward silence, finishing our science lab.
—✧
“Hey, yeah, I'm just calling to procure a hasty abortion.” I said into my phone, laying upside down on my bed as I struggled to hear the women on the other line. This phone call, maybe one of the most important phone calls of my life, ironically was being done over a Hamburger phone. Don't get me wrong, I loved my hamburger phone, but this is life or death we're talking about, and I mean literally death. Besides, you could barely hear anything through this phone without a proper throw against the wall first.
“What?” I shouted, the women taken-a-back, unaware of the brutality of my Burger phone.
“Can you just hold on for a second? I'm on my hamburger phone.” I chucked it against the wall, then shook vigorously, not caring about the dirty look and judgements I was most likely receiving. I was getting an abortion, this woman already knew more about me then most people.
“Okay, yeah, now I can...Yeah, it's just, like, really awkward to talk on.” I chuckled lightly, before stopping when I realized she didn't find it funny. “Yeah, yeah, I need an abortion.” God this was hell.
“I'm 16.”
There was a momentary pause on the other end, like the lady was shocked. I'm sure she got this call 10 times a day from people just as young as me, which made it even stranger that she paused. Why would she pause?
“I'm gonna say it's been about two months and four days since the sex. Mind you, that's just, like, a guesstimation. I'm sorry, how long have I been what?”
I hate it when adults use the term "sexually active." What does it even mean? Can I deactivate someday, or is this some sort of permanent state of being? Is it like a super power I gain or is it just another boring disadvantage in life, like getting your period of hitting puberty. I guess Kyle went live that night and that's why he got that look on his face.
—✧
“You should have seen this octopus furnace at work. I had to get on my HAZMAT suit just to get into the thing.” My dad explained, the family sitting together for dinner, not entirely listening to what my dad was saying. I knew it had to be some sort of bull crap because what the hell is my dad, the geologist, doing with an octopus and a hazmat suit?
My dad used to own a weed business. Though my whole family had their flaws, my dad was a special egg. Not as much the black sheep of the family, more so the multicolored glow in the dark sheep who performs at the strip club on weekends. Not that he does perform at a strip club, though that wouldn't be the craziest thing he's done. After we nearly lost our minds during the pandemic, and I nearly lost my life due to my father’s weed business (story is later to come), I think something must have clicked in his head that he could miss this. This domestic life he always yearned for when he was growing up. I don't think he ever really knew it was there til it was almost gone.
Moving back to our old home made for many more family dinner’s. Forcing me and stan to the dinner table all year long, and earning the occasional call from my older sister Shelley. She checked in quite often to make sure I was still alive having dealt with Dad and Stan, though I was always okay. Now we live the most normal family life we can, and my dad got his job back as a Geologist, and even still writes for songs under his LORDE alias, though Stan and I like to pretend that part isn't true.
It was really good for my mom though, to have her family back the way it should be. Sharon Marsh was the best mother a kid could ask for, and never failed to keep dad in line when needed. My dad going clean did good on fixing their marriage as well, bringing back a lot of care and love they didn't even realize was still there. She still work’s at the reception desk at Tom’ Rhinoplasty, business booming a much as ever these days…figures.
“So, Juno, how was your little maneuver the other night?” My mom asked, smiling over at me kindly. I puffed up slightly with pride, wiggling my eyebrows at her.
“The one where I moved an entire living-room set from one lawn to the other… Or the one where I downed a 64-ounce blue slushie in 10 minutes?” I said, shoving some more food down my face as my dad looked at me confused.
“Juno, did you by any chance barf in my urn? You know that nice urn by the door? The one I got up in Denver? There was some blue shit…” my dad looked over at my mom’s testing look, before clearing his throat and correcting himself. “I mean gunk... stuff in there this morning.” My dad rambled, referring to the urn that no one knew nor cared about. It was an ugly piece of crap that my dad claimed was ‘a cultural must have’ and that we would be wrong not to show it off. It was stupid, and ugly, and yes I did barf up almost all 64 ounces of that slushie in it.
“I would never barf in your urn, Dad.” I said, holding my chest with fake hurt, earning a smile from my dad. I had that poor man wrapped around my little finger for as long as I could remember. “I mean, maybe Stan did it.” I said, shrugging in Stan’s direction. My older counterpart glared up at me.
“Bite me sewer rat.” He said, making me look at him with fake hurt, neither of us being able to hold back the slight laughter that evaded our faces.
“Stanley! Don’t talk to your sister like that.” My mom said, making Stan scoff and roll his eyes. I nodded with agreement.
“Yeah Stanley, be nice.” I teased back, flinging a few peas at my brother, causing his to look up at me with a smirk, about to fling some right back at me.
—✧
I left early the next morning for Women now. I was scared, really, really scared. I had written paperwork printed out in my bedroom, that I had made 4 copies of after having messed up 3 times. The crumbled papers laid on my bed, while the other was folded neatly in my bag. I just wanted this to be done. I wanted to do it and I wanted it to be done and dealt with. But God, I was such a fucking idiot.
“Juno?” My brother called, knocking on my door to call me to come hang out with him and the guys. “Hey, June the guys are coming over, make sure you have some damn pants on this time for the..” he paused when he opened the door, noticing my absence in the room. He furrowed his eyebrows, knowing it was a Friday and we had off from school today, I should’ve been here.
He walked deeper into my room, softly calling my name again in case I was hiding in my closet or something, and that’s when he noticed the papers. He rolled his eyes at my mess, about to pick them up and throw them out before a certain word caught his eye.
“Abortion? Why the fuck…” he mumbled, unscrambling the paper as he read it. His hands seemed to go limp, and his heart beat increased. His throat went dry, and he stared at the paper with a colorless face.
‘Women Now Abortion Clinic’
His eyes scanned down further to the bottom.
‘By my signature I agree to and have read all of the conditions that come with the women now abortion procedure… Juno Sloane Marsh”

Chapter 12
Tumblr media
Rain stayed silent as he watched Dewdrop fiddle with his guitar. His fingers were shaky and uncoordinated unlike his usual composed self. Playing his guitar always seemed to calm the Fire ghoul when he got upset but in this instance, it was not helping in the slightest causing his pack mate to worry more and the fire ghoul to get even more agitated as he couldn't get anything right - he was seconds from just throwing his guitar across the room. Rain hadn't seen Dewdrop so frazzled before. The disarray of his room still lay untouched on the floor by their feet but Dewdrop didn't pay any mind to the destruction he'd caused. Rain wanted to start cleaning up but he was too afraid to move from his spot on the bed by the jittery Fire Ghoul. He could practically feel the vibrations of his anger and rage that boiled just below the surface just simmering.
"Dew…" Rain's voice spoke through the agitating noise coming from Dew's guitar that he was having a hard time playing. The fact that he was messing up chords was starting to irritate the fire ghoul all over again.
"Don't." the other snapped much too harshly causing Rain to grit his teeth; he'd been trying for the past few hours to try and talk his friend down from his frenzy.
The news and inclination that Ari may be pregnant still not lost on the Water Ghoul and he worried for her stability. Not just that but for the struggle that she and Dew have to face now. What if she was actually pregnant? What would Dewdrop do when he was told the truth? What would Ari do? He didn't want to lose a friend and he knew if the truth was that their manager was pregnant by another man it would crush Dewdrop. So much that Rain couldn't be so confident that he'd return from his spiral.
"No, I won't stop talking about it Dew. You have to tell me-" Rain tried again a little more firmly.
"Tell you what Rain?" Dewdrop's head snapped up pinning his friend under a fiery gaze. "That the woman I love is pregnant by another man? That she lied about it? That she used me like a pawn?"
"Dewdrop stop it!" Rain's voice rose sharply; a contrast to his usual calm and quiet demeanor. "You listen to me spitfire." the water ghoul leaned forward and gripped the back of his friend's neck to force him from looking away from him.
"Ari isn't a fucking liar. She's not the type to lie about anything, least of all this if she had known. I know you know that deep inside. If she says she isn't pregnant and this is just a scheme then I fucking believe her because she's never let us down before or given us a reason not to trust her word." his blue eyes searched his friends.
"And I know you know this too. The least you can do is give her the benefit of not doubting her." his grip gentled as his voice softened. "I know you love her firebug. I've never seen you so crazy about anyone else before; that says something about the bond you two share. She's perfect for you and I know how fucking miserable you were when you thought she'd rejected you. You trusted her back then though; all we are asking is you to trust her still. Don't jump to conclusions until we know the facts. You've never been one for rational thinking my friend…but this time, it's important that you have an open mind." Rain pressed as he studied his friend's face.
"But the proof was evident Rain. You saw the test. You saw the pictures…" Dewdrop muttered shaking his friend's hand off of him as he leaned away.
"That doesn't mean anything. They could be fake. Do you honestly think she'd ever sleep with the man that made her miserable?" Rain sighed giving his friend a sympathetic look. "Our Ari isn't the woman you think she is. She's special…she's a breath of fresh air and she makes you so happy…Don't let this ruin the chance of finding your mate."
"She's not my mate." Dewdrop hissed
"But she is Dew. Sometimes, mates don't find each other with a zing of electricity no matter what people say…Sometimes, mates are found through the turmoil that surround them that brings them together." he sighed rising to his feet. "Just…hear her out and please…don't turn her back on her because of this." he said softly.
Rain headed for the door and opened it but he stopped cocking his head when he heard the sounds of sobbing coming down the hall and his tail stiffened as he gazed down the corridor. He could sense Dewdrop's attention zeroing in on it too as his smaller friend came to stand at his side. A movement at the other end of the corridor caused the pair to look over at Mountain who held an envelope in his hands. The gentle giant gazed at them and raised the slip of paper.
"Her results came in. She took the test at the nurse's office." he informed but from the looks of the envelope it hadn't been opened yet.
Mountain walked down to the end of the hall and knocked softly on the door. "Blossom. The results came in." he said through the door causing the crying within to dwindle into sniffled until at last the door opened to reveal Aurora standing there.
She gave a small smile to the giant before nodding and turning to the others within the bathroom. "Honey, you ready?" she asked softly.
Ari wiped at her face and nodded as she rose. Cumulus grabbed the test and the others left the bathroom heading down the hall but Ari stood a few steps within catching sight of Dewdrop standing with Rain in his bedroom door frame. Her lip wobbled but she didn't say a word as she tucked her head down and walked past following the trail of her friends to the common room. Copia, Swiss, and Phantom were still sitting there waiting as they talked in hushed whispers as the rest of them waited for the others to arrive.
Ari took her seat beside Phantom who grabbed her hand; giving her a few pulses of his quintessence to help calm her as her tired body leaned against his for support. Rain and Dewdrop were the last to enter; sitting across the room with tense apprehension as Mountain handed the paper over to their manager but she shook her head and handed it to Copia who sat on her other side.
"I can't read it." she mumbled
Copia took the papers from her. "Are you sure mi caro?" he asked softly and at her tired nod he sighed and tore open the envelope to fish out the papers within.
"Alright let's see…" Copia scanned the information slowly and then again to double check.
Ari's face scrunched up in a wince as she waited for the verdict; praying to whatever god or devil that the results would favor her. She didn't trust the pregnancy tests; not 100% so she waited for bated breath. A tenetive glance over across the room at Dewdrop revealed him leaning forward eyes glued to her as Rain held his hand. His stare was heavy and he didn't look away when she met his gaze.
"-pregnant."
Ari blinked when Copia's voice finally registered in her ears causing her to look over at him. "W-what?" she asked confused and dazed.
"You are pregnant, tesero." he repeated slowly while handing over the papers to her.
Ari could hardly breathe as she snatched the paper from him and read the results. Her breath came out on a shaky exhale that was near panicked as her hands trembled with nerves and she felt her eyes sting again with more tears as she stared at the bold words of results right under her nose.
"I'm…pregnant?" she repeated softly before a laugh escaped her. "It's impossible. Fuck I know I didn't sleep with him! I know I didn't I swear on my life I didn't!" she panicked as she stared at the paper; the room was so silent a pin dropping could have been heard and she slumped against Phantom with uncontrollable trembling as she covered her mouth with her hand stifling another sob that wanted to rip from her throat. "The test was wrong…It has to be.."
"You took two tests, Ari…just to be sure. What did the other one say?" Rain asked softly from across the room as his hand gripped Dewdrop's shoulder - he could feel his muscles quiver, whether from rage he didn't know but he kept his grip strong in case the other decided to fly off.
"It was positive…" Cumulus said softly as she extended her hand towards the Water Ghoul with the test in her hand showing him the two pink lines clearly visible against the white backdrop.
Ari shook her head "No…no…NO!" her voice came out as a despite scream as she threw the paper to the ground and gripped her head. "I know what I did…but I didn't sleep with him…I know I wouldn't do that…I wouldn't…" she babbled.
Warm hands suddenly gripped her knees and Ari turned her red tear-soaked face to look down at Dewdrop crouching in front of her. His eyes were searching hers; guarded and unsure as he watched her face. She stared back down at him and her lips parted to say something but instead, nothing came out. Instead of screaming at her or telling her 'I told you so' Dewdrop reached out and she flinched back a bit thinking perhaps he'd hit her but instead of a harsh blow to her face, his palm rested warm and almost comforting against her cheek as he cradled it and the gentle gesture cracked her heart even more; he shouldn't be looking at her like that. He shouldn't be so kind to her at this moment. He had a right to be angry - hell she was angry at herself and at the situation but his eyes held no anger in them.
"Dew…" her voice came out cracked as another tear rolled down her flushed cheek.
"I believe you." his voice was soft as he gauged her reaction. The orange glow of his irises scanned her features. "If you say you didn't sleep with him of your own volition, then I believe you, firecracker." he said solemnly and Ari closed her eyes as if wanting to hide from his words as if she was trying to hide from him - from the truth of the situation. He shouldn't be accepting of this; she sure as hell wasn't. She didn't understand how this could have happened.
A gentle nudge to her chin made her open her teary eyes to look at him again and his face was so serious as he stared at her. "I. Believe. You." he repeated slowly as if making sure that she understood him; that she'd believe his words. "But those results have to question…if you didn't know…if you didn't sleep with him knowingly then how are you pregnant?"
The question filled the silence of the room and Ari didn't have an answer for him but her tears had stopped falling as her mind slowly caught up with the conversation and the gears in her head were turning as she mulled it over. He made a good point. If she hadn't slept with Braydon…then how?
"We need answers to this…" Copia muttered bending down to grab the pregnancy results and staring down at the papers. "We'll need to see how far along you are, tesero. That means we need to make an appointment and go from there."
"I don't want this baby." Ari didn't break her gaze away from Dewdrop; her words meant not only for him but for the rest of them. "I want nothing to do with that man."
"Okay, then there's only one option honey. Are you okay with that decision?" Phantom asked softly from beside her.
Ari worried her lip between her teeth. Getting an abortion never sat right with her but she couldn't possibly raise this baby in a Satanic church. Not alone and certainly not with the knowledge of who their father was. She shrugged limply and shook her head.
"I don't know…" she confessed; the conflict in her voice was evident as she closed her eyes and slumped forward, resting her forehead against Dewdrop's shoulder as his arms snaked around her to hold her close.
"Let me call my friend. Let me see what we can do." Copia offered as he headed for the door and exited with a nod to the others.
Ari took a breath and clung to Dewdrop's neck. "I'm sorry…" she whispered closing her eyes tightly. "I'm sorry…this is all my fault…"
"You didn't know baby. You thought you knew the situation because you'd never do anything like this…but that doesn't mean it's your fault." Dewdrop soothed stroking her hair. "We'll figure it out." he added quietly as he pressed a kiss to her head. "We'll figure it out…"
Ari shook her head and pulled away; wiping angrily at her face. "You have the right to be mad at me Dew-"
The fire ghoul shook his head slowly and cupped her face as he forced her eyes back to him. "A friend of mine made something very clear earlier. At the end of the day it shouldn't matter…I love you." he said softly brushing her cheeks. "After everything that we've been through…it shouldn't matter if this baby's mine or not. I should have trusted you and had faith in your honor because I know what kind of person you are, firecracker. I love you so much and I'm not afraid to say it aloud." he said firmly.
her lip quivered as she nodded and rested her forehead against his. "I love you too…" she whispered.
A throat cleared causing the pair to break apart and look over towards Mountain who was standing by one of the couches. A look of unease on his face as he glanced around at everyone. He had something to say; it was clear by the look on his face but whatever it was was something he didn't even want to utter. Ari tilted her head and studied his face before she spoke up - her voice soft and coaxing.
"What is it Mountain? What's on your mind?" she asked.
Everyone's eyes were on the Earth Ghoul now who was beginning to fidget; shifting his weight between his legs as if uncomfortable to stand but when he didn't say anything at first; Aurora's small frame came to stand beside him and grabbed his larger hand in hers - looking up at him imploringly.
"What is it big guy?" she asked.
The giant cleared his throat again as if something was stuck there before his rumbling voice spoke up hesitantly. "I've been thinking Ari…about the situation and…" he trailed off looking away from the woman's inquisitive stare.
"And what?" she pressed as a frown tugged at her mouth as she searched his face.
"You said that you wouldn't sleep with him willingly…."
"Yeah…" she trailed off pointedly. "What are you trying to say Mount?"
"W-well…If it wasn't willingly and he claims you were drunk and you don't remember it…." his eyes finally turned towards her. with a pointed stare as if his gaze alone transferred his thoughts to her.
Ari stared across the room at him with a blank face as she tried to understand what he was trying to say; her slow mind caught up too slowly as the others seemed to be getting what the tall ghoul was trying to imply without actually saying it out loud. Dewdrop rose to his feet sharply; his eyes glowing with rage once more but this time wasn't directed towards Ari.
"I'm going to kill him." he snarled.
Phantom grabbed his packmate's arm quickly and rose to stop him. "Easy, fireball." he warned. "We don't know if that's true."
"What's not true? Guys, what the hell are you trying to say?" Ari demanded looking up between them as she sat rigid on the edge of the couch.
"Ari…if you didn't sleep with him and don't remember that night…" Rain picked up on Mountain's thoughts. "Then that leaves only one plausible conclusion," he said gripping his hands together in front of him as he stared at the floor at his feet. "You were drugged at that party and taken advantage of by your ex-husband."
Ari stared at him with mouth agape in disbelief. "No…Braydon is one thing but he…he wouldn't do that!" she tried to defend.
"Wouldn't he?" Swiss added lowly as he crossed his arms thoughtfully. "It would make sense, don't you think? He must have known one way or another you'd find out about him cheating. But he didn't want to lose the money you were bringing in. For whatever reason he wanted you under his thumb, honey." Swiss raised his gaze to the shell-shocked woman across the room.
"He's many things but I wouldn't ever imagine him doing something like that…What reason would he want to drug me and knock me up? It couldn't be just for the money! That wouldn't make sense Swiss! At the time those pictures were taken I wasn't working with you guys. That was months before I ever found out about the job! I was still working at the attorney's office." Ari stated shaking her head.
"Wouldn't it make more sense for him to divorce me and then go be with whatever woman he's been fucking?" she added looking around the room.
"Maybe he wanted to ruin your reputation. Break you down until you had to rely on him." Swiss offered.
"He hadn't thought that you'd get a new job though…And by the time you did and were making more money than him maybe he thought that he would be entitled to that because you were married. Perhaps that is why he was fighting back about the divorce?" Cumulus offered up her own thoughts.
"Oh, my god…" Ari shook her head slowly. "It does make sense…oh my god…we have to tell Copia!" she rose sharply from the couch but Dewdrop grabbed her arm.
"No, we will handle this." he stated sharply.
"No! This isn't just about fighting for my honor anymore Dew. This man fucked me over both figuratively and physically. He can't get away with that!" she stated harshly tugging her arm from his grasp. "We have to tell Copia and get his friend to dig deeper. I won't be made a fool and give my ex the satisfaction of getting any part of me!" she snapped.
The fire ghoul looked at her a long time until she swore he wouldn't say anything and she turned to leave but his grip remained on her arm as he tugged her back and cupped her face. "Okay baby." he searched her face. "We'll fight back, together. But promise me you won't do anything reckless, got it?"
Ari gave a grim smile and nodded. "He won't screw us over. Not again." she confirmed before Dew pressed a firm kiss to her lips.
"Atta girl."

꧁•⊹٭Lie to Me, Tell me you Love Me٭⊹•꧂ (Henry Creel/001 x GN! Experiment! Reader)
(Honestly, I think this was bound to happen. I mean, look at this man, or Jamie Campbell Bower in general and tell me that man isn't attractive. You can't. Because he is. Those eyes, that smile, a personality like that?! The things I'd do for just a smile from that man!) (But I digress! I recently got into Stranger Things and I decided I'll join in and write for it as my 'Welcome Back!' So here we go!) (Remember My lovelies! My request box is always open for things you'd love to see! So don't be afraid to send something my way! Love you all! <3)
Before I start! I would like to say that you, as the reader, are 21 years of age and have taken the place of 002. Making you the second oldest experiment (Besides Henry) In the lab! Okay! Now that that's out of the way! Onward!
Tumblr media
You acted sort of like a parent to the younger ones. Interacting with them and bonding them as a parent the children never really had. Despite many warnings you were given by Dr. Brenner, and his many points of 'concern' or 'advise', you never stopped loving and nurturing the others, even when times got tough for yourself.
And of course, this made you aware of 'Peter Ballard'. The orderly that kept an eye on the other children in the rainbow room and during classes. Though you knew him differently. He could be given a new name, but you never forgot a face.
You knew Henry from before he was ever an orderly. And he knew you. One of the few people in his life who stood out to him. Someone so true and honest with yourself and your feelings. Even as a scared child, you were always honest and genuine. Never told a lie, or gave a fake smile. It moved him. He'd even be brave enough to say he liked it.
Though, you both weren't those scared children anymore, but nothing really changed. In reality, you both just got older. You and Henry were still rather close, despite the shift in authority, it actually became a topic for you to tease him with when you both could spare a moment.
Henry always liked your teasing, it made him laugh ever so slightly, but you knew what that meant. And when you were in the rainbow room, interacting with the little ones, he couldn't help but turn his head to admire that genuine smile. It was his way of appreciating you.
Very few people knew this, but if he truly trusts and likes you, Henry was quite an affection man, in his own way. Whether it was reassuring you in your classes to calm your nerves, squeezing your hand in a time of need, or even fleeting little kisses behind closed doors, Henry was always so kind to you once you both warmed up to each other.
You would occasionally catch the glances though, making you both smile and look away to go back to what you both were doing. Though you couldn't help the little giggle escape from your lips, which only made him smile more as he was walking away.
In all honesty, your relationship was like a big game of stolen glances and hiding behind locked doors. Any moment you both could share in private was taken. In your room, in testing rooms, and even the rainbow room once after hours. It was risky, for sure, doing all this and leaving no suspicion so you both wouldn't be separated.
The danger and risk was always so much fun, it made your hearts race but that never killed the mood. You'd be resting on his chest and listening to Henry's heartbeat while he held you close, when suddenly you'd here footsteps approach. He'd hold you tighter and glare at the door until it disappeared, leaving you to giggle like a child while he just watched you with complete adoration.
Sometimes though, there would be times when you'd just forget you needed to be quiet. Which, to Henry's words, 'Was the hardest part'. Though he'd only say that to poke fun, and follow it with how he'd have to find ways just to shut you up. Always got a rise out of you though, which he loved.
But despite all that, he was still just a man who loved you. With all his heart, like there was no one else he could love more. You were his light, a little ray of colour in the world he believed to be grey and unforgiving. To him, you were nothing less than some kind of angel. And he'd burn this world to it's core, just to rebuild it with you.

You're mine, Bunny The grabber x reader Chapter 3
Albert went upstairs to see max talking to a stranger on Albert's couch as he growled under his breath 'damn it max..."
Max looked up at his older brother and got up "Al.. this is michael the brother of the missing girl!" The guy named Michael got up "yeah.. I think the grabber got ahold of her." Michael let out fake tears, albert knew he was mean to his sister by the look of him. "What was her name?
"Y/n l/n... she is 18 years old, she's (Height) has (Short/long) (hair color)... it's not like her to just run away, the grabber had to get her. Me and Emily my girlfriend are worried." He let out more fake tears as max held onto the mans shoulders to comfort him.
Albert wanted to scoff at him but he stayed calm as max smiled "I'm trying to figure out who the grabber is man, we'll find out."
"Yeah, well I got to go to work. I'd like it if our guest goes home now until then." Albert told his brother as he nodded, michael got up and left, albert went on to work after the he left to make sure he was gone.
Shannon's point of view♡♡♡♡♡
Shannon woke up as she went down to have some breakfast with her family as she saw her mother crying as her father comforted her causing shannon to start to worry "mom what is wrong?"
Her mother looked at her daughter sadly "honey, sit down. We need to talk." Shannon slowly sit down,
"Y/n is missing, they think the grabber has got her." Her father told her with sadness in his eyes, Shannon couldn't believe it she just saw y/n last night, her eyes widened she must have ran away last night and the Grabber has got her. She begged her best friend to stay with her she wished that she would have stayed with y/n it is all her fault she thinks as she runs out of the house with tears in her eyes.
She walks for 20 minutes before she sees the black van as it stops "are you okay, young lady?" The man driving the van asks. She saw this man last night while walking home with y/n
"No, no I'm not." She cried "My best friend is missing we think the grabber has got her." The mans eyes widened "but the grabber hasn't kidnapped anyone in a year." Shannon nodded, she took a closer look at the man he had graying Brown shoulder length hair as he wore big sunglasses. "Well, I'm gonna look for her now."
The man nodded with a creepy smile "be careful young lady then." He replied as he drove away.
Weird man she thought as she went looking for her best friend
Y/n's point of view
Y/n got up from the mattress as she looked around for any way to escape as she failed to find anyway as she wanted to cry again but the tears didn't come out and she let out and angry sigh for about an hour she waited,
Soon she heard footsteps coming down to the basement as he walked in with a tray in his hands her mouth started to water as she hasn't eaten since yesterday morning "Are you hungry, little bunny?"
She nodded, as he put the tray down close to her it was eggs and a sprite, she looked at them for a second did he poison them before she could say anything he replied "I didn't poison them why should I poison them you're already down here."
She quickly ate the food as he watched her it creeped her out a little bit but she was too hungry to even care.
"What is your name?" he asked her
"Y/n..." She slowly replied
"Y/n, a beautiful name for a beautiful girl." He smiled under his mask. She didn't lie to him. Very good girl. He thought
"Thanks..." She awkwardly replied as she took a look at him he was kind of handsome she thought even though he was wearing that creepy mask but she shook the thought away he was a kidnapper and a child killer she shouldn't think of him that way
He got up as he walked to the basement door and left the room but he didn't lock it.
Her first thought was to run up the stairs and escape but it looked too suspicious she believed he was testing her to see if she'd run away so she just sat back down on the mattress and waited.
Wow, three chapters in one day I hope that you all like it. 💕

"I'm not gonna talk to him father!" I yelled at my dad.
"Why?! It's strictly about business anyway!" he yelled back at me. "I'm sorry father, but I'm not gonna talk to the devil in disguise" i said in a slightly calmer voice. "It's just for a few minutes and it's strictly about the mob, okay? He won't hurt you or something" my dad answerd. After a while of thinking about it, I agreed.
"Just for a few minutes and not more" i said quietly.
"yes, thank you y/n" i just nodded with my head before I made my way into the huge conference room where the devil should be.
I hate this man. I could kill him. The problem is… he could kill me too… in seconds.
Thomas Stanley motherfucking Holland.
And now I should go to him and try to make a deal with him, that's gonna be fun. Probably we can't even start to talk about the deal because we're just gonna argue. Like usual.
I opened the door and didn't even looked up to look if he was here yet-
"Well hello darling"
Fuck.
"Hello Thomas" I said with a fake smile.
"I already told that you can call me Tom babygirl" he said.
"And I already told you that you should stop calling me these nicknames because I don't like them" I told him. "Well guess what baby, I don't give a single shit about it" he said with a wide smile.
I just scoffed and shook my head before I sat down on one of the chairs in the room. Tom sat down on the chair at the exact opposite of me.
"So, let's talk about the deal, okay?"
"Okay" Tom nodded.
---
1 week later, after we finally finished the deal, I could relax and went into the library in our mansion. Most of the time I don't even have time to read, but when I got time then I use it and read a few pages of my favorite books. It's something that kinda brings me back into the real world and calms me down quickly. So I don't want to get disturbed.
But of course something- no, someone had to disturb me.
"Hello darling" thomas said as he entered the library with both of his hands in the pockets of his black coat.
"What do you want Holland" I spat back angrily.
"Honestly? You"
I was frozen for a second. It's not that I like him or anything, like i already said, I absolutely hate this man, but he is attractive, i can't deny that. No women can deny that.
"Cat caught your tongue babydoll?" he whispered quietly in my ear from behind. Of course I had to stay infront of the bookshelf with my back to him right now.
"Hmm?" he said in my ear again while I was still pretty frozen.
"get the fuck out of my way Tom" I said with a slightly nervous voice. Suddenly he put both of his arms on my shoulders and slowly traced his fingertips down my arms. I literally started to shiver as he said that,
"pretty little thing" he whisper right in my ear and left a gently peck on the side of my neck. Then he put both of his hands in mine and slowly rubbed this thumb over my hand.
And I let him. I fucking let him.
"I know that you like it baby, I know it" he whispered in the back of my neck before he started to leave kisses at the side of my neck. He was so gentle and soft. His lips were so warm and they felt so fucking good, wait what-
"Okay, stop" I said as I turned around and pushed him away.
"That's sad, it looked like you really enjoyed it darling" he said while he slowly approached me again. As he took the first step forward, I took one backwards but then I remembered that my back is already against the shelf.
Well fuck.
As he stood infront of me, he put both of his hands next to my head and leaned really close. Our noses were nearly touching.
"You don't have to lie to me princess, you know? And when you really wanna test me, then I dare you to do that, we both know that I'm gonna win babydoll" he whispered quietly while he looked me deep in the eyes.
"You may be a Holland, but don't forget that I'm a y/l/n honey" I told him while I held eye contact.
"Cause you exactly know what I'm capable of, you already saw me fighting and taking your men down easily" I added.
"And you exactly know what I'm capable of babygirl"
"Oh please, you are just as weak as your men are Holland" I said with a quick laugh.
"I'm not talking about fighting love" he said with a tiny smirk.
"About what then champ?" I said with a little smile on my face.
"You know what I'm the best at?" he said as he slowly leaned closer so his mouth was hovering over my ear.
"What" I asked before I rolled my eyes.
"Punishments" he whispered.
And as soon as he said that my smile faded and I was frozen… again.
"I knew you would be quiet as soon as I said that. Have you ever got punished before? You know like, did you ever got a few good spanks and a few edges-"
"shut up Thomas" I spat quietly at him.
"You get turned on from the thought of me spanking you and edging you until you beg me to stop, don't you?"
"I-I, n-no i-I don't" I stuttered.
"Don't lie to me princess" he said while he looked me in my eyes again.
"I don't" I said while I looked down at my feet. "Can you say that while you look me in the eyes?" he asked.
I looked him in the eyes, but I couldn't get a single word out.
"That's what I thought" he said before he put both of his hands back in his pockets again and went to the door.
"Where a-are you g-going?" Why did I asked that?!
"I'm gonna go back to work, if you need someone that makes you scream and cry at same time, and I don't mean that in a painful way, then you know where I am" he said before he opened the door and left.
"God please help me" I quietly prayed before I left the library too and went to the gym.
---
"Tom, let me through" I said in a pretty calm voice.
"No" he answered with a tiny smirk.
"Thomas please! I have to be in the meeting like, right now!" I raised my voice at him.
"And?" he asked while he looked down at me. Sadly I'm shorter than him. "And?! When my dad finds out that you are keeping me up here then you. are. dead, holland." he lightly chuckled before he spoke up,
"That would be a shame wouldn't it?" he said with a wide grin while slowly raced his hand and stroked my cheek with his knuckles. "Tom stop" I told him angrily. "You are so sweet when you're angry, you know?"
"Fuck. off" I whispered while I looked him deep in the eyes. That was the last thing i said to him before I pushed him angrily away and stormed through the door.
"Where the fuck where you y/n?" my dad asked with a slightly aggressive voice. I didn't knew which kind of lie I should tell him, so I told him the truth.
"Tom distracted me" I said while I took a seat. "Tom Holland?" he said while he looked at me. "Of course the holland boy dad, who else?" I spat. "Not in that tone young lady" he spat back angrily before he sat down in his own chair and scoffed before he started to talk about some mob business shit while I held back my tears.
It's not that I hate this life, or the mob, it's just that I would love when someone would give me some love.
---
"Thomas, I already told you that it was a mistake" I yelled at him. "But this mistake could have killed you" he yelled back at me. I looked him deep in the eyes before I quietly said,
"Why do you even care?"
He just stared at me with an open mouth and slightly wide eyes. He looked at me like he just got caught stealing something. "I-I don't care about you or anything, i-i could have been dead too, a-and w-when you would have been i-in trouble, t-then I wouldn't have hesitate to save MY ass"
Slowly, a smile made it's way to my face before I spoke up again,
"You're lying" I whispered.
"I d-don't lie'' he said quietly. "You do, because every time when you lie, you stutter thomas" he slowly approached me. Probably a habit of him. As he stood right infront of me, he looked me right into the eyes. He basically looked me right into the soul before he said,
"I didn't lied and I don't care about you. When you would get killed, then I would stand next to your corpse and would be sad that I didn't killed you" he slowly said.
And as he said that, I just thought one thing,
Don't fucking cry now y/n, you already know that nobody loves you.
I exactly knew that he hates me, just like I hate him, but I would have never said something that cruel to him. But of course I couldn't stop the tears they were threatening to spill. I looked down at my feet before I quickly wiped the tear away.
"Are you cryi-"
"I hate you" I said before he could finish his sentence. The last thing I saw before I stormed out of the big conference room, was a guilty look painted on Tom's face.
---
I sat silently in my bedroom and thought about a few things,
'I can't', 'I can't fucking like him', 'I can't fucking love him', 'It's impossible'. I thought the entire time. We are enemies since the second we saw each other. We hate each other. We have to, we don't have another option. Why am I even thinking about that? He hates me and I should hate him. But I can't. It's not that I adore this man and would do anything for him, I would just sacrifice my life for him-
Fuck.
I'm head over heels for him.
Suddenly someone knocked on my door.
"Come in" I said. Suddenly Tom came in, wearing a tight white button up shirt and dark blue dress pants. He looked so unbelievably hot but at the same time he was my enemy. I thought about his messy hair and rosy cheeks and red lips, they look so fucking soft, I would love to kiss them and touch his body-
"You good y/n?" he asked as he sat down next to me on the bed. And of course he had to spread his legs and fold his hands.
"Yeah, yeah I'm fine" I answered quickly. God I'm so done.
"I wanted to apologize for what I said earlier, so… I'm sorry"
Did he just seriously apologized? Wow.
"It's okay, you were right" I said with a tiny but sad laugh. "You were right" he suddenly said. "What do you mean?" I said while I looked at him. Tom got up and stood now infront me.
"I do care about you"
"What?"
"You were right, I lied. I really care about y/n, and I'm sorry that I treated you that way"
"Seriously?" I got up now too and stood right infront of him. He just nodded quickly before he said,
"yes, uhm, that's it, I'm gonna go now, by dollface" he said with a tiny smirk before he left the room.
"fuck off" I laughed while I made my way downstairs.
---
"I hate work" I quietly whispered to myself while I buried my head in my hands desperately. Suddenly the door opened and Tom walked in. "Get out of here" he said without any sign of kindness. "What?" I asked with a laugh. "I think you heard me princess, out. of. here" I stood up from my chair and scoffed before I walked over to him.
"No" I said with a tiny grin.
"No?, darling I'm in charge here, okay?, so you're gonna walk out of this room and let me do my work that I have to do, alright?" he said pretty seriously. I shaked my head with a smile painted on my face. "I don't wanna drag out of the room y/n, c'mon" he said with a hint of anger in his voice but I shaked my head and he scoffed. "Why can't you just listen for once." Out of nowhere he grabbed my throat and pressed me against the wall behind me. "You're gonna listen to me" he whispered before he went on,
"When I tell you to do something, then your gonna do it, don't you?" he asked while he looked at me. That went right to my pussy.
"And what are you gonna do when I don't want to do what you say?" of course y/n y/l/n tried to push his buttons. "Then it's gonna get a big big mess babygirl" he smiled. He fucking smiled.
"A bloody mess?" I asked with a grin. "No, no, not a bloody mess but a wet mess" he whispered.
"fuck you" I whispered. "oh yes, I'm gonna do that" he said before he crashed his lips on mine harshly. He put both of his hands on my cheeks while I opened his button up shirt and pulled it off of his body. Just a few seconds later he pulled my shirt off and threw it to the side. "You're eager, aren't you?" I asked while he put his pants off. God his body is a masterpiece.
"Shut up" he said while I put my pants and bra off. "Make me" I said. He looked me in the eyes with a tiny smirk before he picked me up and laid me down onto the table. He went down on his knees infront of me and pulled my panties down my legs before he started to give tiny kitten licks to my already wet pussy.
"Fuuuuck" I whispered before he started to really eat me out. "Fuck daddy" I cried out. "Say that again" Tom said before he sucked on my clit and flicked his tongue over it afterwards. "Oh my God, please daddy" I cried out even louder. He flicked my clit with the tip of his tongue so fast and good that I came quickly.
"FUCK, your gonna make me cum" I said quietly while I arched my back. But after he made me cum, he didn't stopped. He went on with flicking the tip of his tongue quickly over my sensitive clit. I started to wiggle away from him but he grabbed my legs and put me back in place again. "Shh, just a little bit more" he whispered. Suddenly he spit right on my pussy and collected the spit with two fingers before he shoved his wet fingers into my pussy. "Oh my g-god, please" I stuttered out.
He started to pump his finger faster and faster and after a few seconds he found the spot that made me go crazy. "Ahhh fuck daddy please, please, please" I screamed.
"Come for me doll, come for daddy" he said while he looked me in the eyes. You heard right. He looked me in the eyes while he ate. me. out.
"FUCK" I yelled as I came for the second time on his tongue and fingers. After he cleaned me up, he stood up and looked at me.
"You're gonna be a good girl and take my cock?" he asked. "Yes Daddy" I answered back quietly. "Good girl" he whispered in my ear before he pulled his boxer down and started to enter me. "oh fuck" I quickly cursed before he started to ram into me mercilessly.
"So fucking tight, such a good girl, just for me, right?" I just nodded with my head before my eyes rolled into the back of my head quickly. Suddenly he put his hand on my throat again and lightly choked me. And fuck was that good.
"Feels so good d-daddy" I whispered. He put the thumb of his other hand on my clit and started to rub it quickly.
"OH MY GOD" I cried out really loud. "Take it, take it, take it" tom spat quietly. "I'm gonna cum daddy" I told him. He went even faster, with his cock and his thumb. And then my orgasm washed me while I screamed as loud as I could while tears were running down my cheeks.Tom shut his eyes tightly and let out a tiny 'fuck' after he came. But I couldn't even notice more before I blacked out.
---
I woke up in my bed, but I could remember exactly what happened yesterday in the conference room. The worst thing is, I still like, no, love this man. How? I honestly don't know. He just makes me… weak.
I threw my work clothes on and went downstairs into the conference room to see if my father was there but the only person that was in the room was the one and only Tom of course.
"Oh, hello darling" he said politely.
"Hello?" I said but it kinda sounded more like a question. "Are you okay?" he asked me. I just nodded with my head before I made my way to the door again but Tom's hand on my wrist stopped me immediately. "Can we talk?" he suddenly said pretty shy. I just nodded again while I turned around to face him and leaned back against the door. "What's up" I said. What the fuck y/n?! Why would you say 'what's up'? You exactly know what happened yesterday and you can't change it. Neither of you can. What you two didn't knew is that neither of you too wanted to change it.
"Can we maybe talk about last night?" he suddenly said. "Yeah, yeah of course, what about last night?" I asked quietly. "I-I, fuck, I don't know how to say that-" but before he could finish his sentence, I interrupted him,
"You think it was a mistake and you asked me to forget it and to not mention it ever again because you hate me and that was just a stupid one night stand thing for you" I told him. He just stared at me for multiple seconds before he opened his mouth and spoke up,
"No"
"What do you mean with 'no'?"
"y/n, I know how I treated you and how rude and cruel I am to you, but that what we did last night wasn't a damn one night stand" he said calmly. "What was it then to you?" I asked him.
"What was it to you?" he asked me back. I had to swallow before I answered,
"I don't think that it meant the same to you as it meant to me" I said quietly while I looked at him. He let out a tiny laugh before he said,
"It meant a lot to me" hold on what did he just said?!
"What, s-seriously?" I asked with already glassy eyes. I just dreamed right?
"Y/n, when I told you that I would save my ass and that I would be happy when you would be dead, then I didn't meant that at all. I care about you, a lot actually and I would rather sacrifice my ass to save yours" he said with a tiny laugh.
I slowly approached him and asked,
"You are not lying?"
"I'm not lying"
As soon as he said I leaned forward gave him a tiny peck to test if he really wants that, and yes he does, he leaned forward and kissed me properly on the lips while he put of his hands softly on my waist and I put my hands on his shoulders. He slowly started to walk forward so that i had to walk backwards and backed me up against the wall, at first I thought that we are gonna the same thing like last night but he just put one of his hands on my cheek and looked me deep in the eyes.
"I really like you y/n"
"I really like you too"
He kissed my forehead gently before we went on with our little make out session.
---
"Tom, no!" I yelled at him. "Why not?!" he yelled back loudly. "Because, when my dad is gonna catch us in the conference room then we are both dead and you know that!" I screamed at my boyfriend.
Tom wanted to make out in the conference room, that my father is probably gonna enter soon. "Who gives a fuck about him" he yelled back at me. "Tom, how do you think my dad will look at us when he sees us not sliding each other's throats!, What do you think is he gonna do huh?!"
"But we are together y/n, we are in a relationship and we are fucking adults so we are allowed to do that! We love each other!"
"In this world is no place for love Thomas!"
Silent.
I instantly regret what I said. I looked at him and I could already see tears building up in his eyes.
"So you don't love me?" he asked quietly and unsure. "No! That not what I meant. Tom, it's just that this world wasn't made for love, okay? I know that we love each other, you love me and I love you, so so so much tommy but this world that we are living in is dangerous, okay?" I told him before I slowly approached him. I put my hands in his hands and gave him a small but gentle peck on the cheek.
"I love you" I whispered.
"I l-love you too darling" he said quietly.
"I'm so sorry for what I said, I hope you forgive me" I said while I laid my head on his chest. He is always so warm and caring and gentle with me.
"Yeah baby, I forgive you" he said with a tiny smile on his gorgeous face. "Thank you" I answered before I pecked his nose. "I'm gonna take a shower" I said quietly while I looked him deep in the eyes. "Mind if I join?" he asked with a smirk. "Not at all… " I slowly leaned forward to whisper in his ear and said,
"daddy"
Before I could even blink, he threw me over the shoulder and made his way to the bathroom.
---
"Fuuuuck babygirl, you take me so well" he whispered while I tried to take his entire member in my mouth. And fuck was that hard because he was so big. Suddenly he started to thrust his hips and I gagged loudly. "You can take it kitten, I know you can" he spat quitely. Tears were rolling down my cheeks as I gagged around him, but It was so fucking hot and rough Tom is the best thing you can get. "Fuck, I'm gonna cum, I'm gonna cum" he said while he shut his eyes. After he came, I swallowed everything and then I stood up and we got out of the shower. He grabbed the back of my neck tightly and turned me around. Our noses touched while he looked me deep in the eyes. "You're mine, understand?" I nodded with my head quickly before he spoke up again,
"That was a great shower don't you thing doll" he said with a huge grin on his face after he let my neck go slowly. I just rolled my eyes before I started to dry my body with my towel. But before I could take my brush to brush through my hair and get the knots out, tom took the brush from my hand and started to gently brush my hair while he stood behind me just in a Calvin klein boxer and grey sweatpants. He gently brushed through them while I watched him in the mirror infront of me. "Mhhmm" I moaned with a tiny smile written on my face. "Don't moan or I'm gonna take you right against the counter princess" he slowly whispered into my ear while he still brushed gently through my hair. "sorry… daddy" he just scoffed before he gave me the 'warning gaze'. I started to laugh and he put the brush aside to grab the lotion. "Are you laughing at me?" he asked with 'fake shook' on his face. "Sorry bubu, your just so sweet" I said between laughter. "You're even sweeter my love" he answered as he applied some lotion on my back and slowly rubbed it in. "That feels good baby, thank you" I said. "No, thank you" he told me while he looked in the mirror where our eyes met. "For what?" I asked with a tiny smile. "For being the best girlfriend ever" he whispered before he gave me a small peck on my temple. I smile before I answerd,
"I love you so damn much Tommy" he rubbed his hands slowly over my shoulders before he spoke up,
"I love you too princess" I used to hate this name, but now I love it.
---
I sat in my room, crying silently on my bed all alone. To have a dad that is just focused on the mob and basically didn't gives a single shit about his own daughter Is hard and it fucking hurts. But luckily i got a caring boyfriend that should be here any minute-
"Hey babygirl, what's wrong?" he asked as he came into the bedroom. "Is it your dad again?" he added after a while. I just nodded with my head before I started to let more sob's out. "No, no, no, you know that I don't like it when you cry princess" he said as he sat down next to me and pulled me into his chest. He hold me tightly in his arms before I spoke up,
"I'm s-sorry" he just looked at me before he said,
"For what?" I looked at him briefly before I looked down at my lap again. "For i-interrupting you t-tommy"
"No, no, there's nothing to be sorry about, okay? I love you and I'm gonna be here for you, you understand?" I nodded with my head quickly before I looked him deep in the eyes. Suddenly he pulled me on his lap so that I straddled him and laid both of his hands on my hips. We both looked at each other's lips briefly before I slowly leaned in and captured his soft lips in a gentle kiss. "I" kiss. "love" kiss. "you" kiss. "so" kiss. "much" kiss. I laughed at him before I kissed his forehead gently and said,
"I love you too so much"
"Can we cuddle?" I added. Tom laughed before he answered,
"Of course darling, anything for you"
I laid down while Tom laid behind me and he threw his hand around me and pulled me into him. "Good night Tommy" I whispered. "Good night baby" he whispered back before we both fell into a deep but wonderful sleep.
---
It was the worst day of your life. Tom was kneeling on the ground, I stood behind him and my father stood infront of us with his gun pointed at me while I had my gun against Tom's temple. Yes, you heard right. Tom's fucking temple.
"Kill him y/n, prove your father that you are strong enough to lead the mob, just like me princessa" my father told me while tears started to build up in my eyes. My father found out about Tom's and my relationship. He went crazy, he freaked out and yelled at us and went absolutely mad. I saw a lot sides from my father already, but not this one. And it kinda made me shit my pants. He demanded me to shoot Thomas so I could prove to him that Tom would be a bad influence for me and the mob. The things is that I would rather die that kill my own fucking boyfriend. Only problem, my father doesn't care.
"You k-know that i-i can't father" I whispered while tears were rolling down my cheeks. "Just do it y/n, it's okay, we had a great time didn't we?" Tom slightly laughed but then I could hear him sob. My father just laughed before he spoke up,
"That's no love that you little kids have, that's just some random bullshit, shoot him" he answered with a laugh. Tom swallowed and I couldn't stop the tears. We both couldn't. "I love you princess, so much" Tom whispered quietly. I just shaked my head while I let sob's out and looked at my dad again. "I don't give a-a fuck a-about the m-mob anymore, I love t-Tom and when you c-can't accept t-that then I'm really sorry" I quietly said. My dad laughed before he said,
"Wait, what do you mean with 'then I'm really sorry' y/n?" he asked.
"I love Thomas, and I fucking hate you" I said before I shot my father in his right shoulder. Tom closed his eyes tightly but when I put both of my hands in his cheeks he opened them again. "Are you okay?" Tom asked me quickly. I nodded with my head before I hugged him tightly. "I'm so sorry baby" I shaked my head quickly and answered,
"No, I'm sorry"
"No, you shouldn't be, I'm supposed to protect you, to protect you from situations like that doll, but I didn't and I'm so sorry" he said quietly. "It's okay Tommy, I love you" "I love you too" he said before we shared a loving kiss. After that, Tom and i got up and went to my father who was laying desperately on the ground.
"Fuck you daddy" I told him.
"Why p-princess, w-why" he weakly asked. Before I could response, Tom spoke up,
"By the way, your daughter calls me daddy too" he said with a wink. And those were the last words my father heard. The best last words even in my opinion. I laughed at my boyfriend before he picked me up and ran towards the bedroom.
"What are you doing?" I asked between laughter. "Oh, I'm just gonna make you beg, scream and cry, okay?" he asked. And as soon as I heard these words I was screwed.
"Yes daddy"
"Good girl"

Tumblr media
Soojin wasn't sure what to do when she saw you standing there, only a few meters away from her and Sin-ae.
You obviously heard the secret she just spilled. This was why she didn't understand why you were keeping a neutral face. It was like the new information didn't shock you at all.
Soojin couldn't help but wonder if this was you being a martyr again. She was not a fool. She was aware how desperate you were to become a part of their family.
How could she not know? Soojin literally exploited this desperation of yours for many years.
She hoped she could still use it today. She hoped you were still the same naïve girl from before.
"Hey, sister..." Soojin tested the waters by calling you sister. It always worked. She saw how your eyes softened and sparkled every time she called you that.
Sometimes she found it endearing, but it pissed her off most of the time. You were such an idiot. She mused.
"Hi." You went near them, greeting them flatly that caused Soojin's heart to drop to her stomach. She didn't see it. This was the first time your eyes didn't light up at the sight of her and her kind smile.
Your face also remained impassive despite Sin-ae's hostility.
"What are you doing here?" Soojin's mother barked, her question was making her look dumb.
You were cradling flowers in your arms while inside a columbarium building. Of course you were here to visit the dead.
"I'm here for my father," and that's exactly what you did; you stated the obvious. Your voice sounded like a robot though. Just like your face, there's no emotion that could be traced. "You know, since I wasn't able to attend the funeral."
Soojin almost flinched at the sudden change of your tone. It's stone cold. She could almost taste your resentment in her tongue.
"Ah..." Your sister let out a breathy laugh. Her heart was in her throat. Soojin was never intimidated by you because she had always felt like she was better than you. In all aspects. You were an illegitimate child. You didn't have a loving mother. Your brothers didn't consider you family. Your father loved her more than he loved you.
The only one you had was Jungkook, but he wasn't yours anymore. He was hers.
"W-We thought you went back to New York." Soojin reasoned out sheepishly. She looked timid, exactly how you used to look when you were around the Kims.
It's uncanny actually. At this very moment, you could see yourself in her. Soojin looked so much like you. Was it because she's your sister? Or was it because just like you, she had done something shameful too?
Wrong.
You were wrong. Your very existence was shameful enough. Soojin had only done something that made her feel guilty. That's different. She's nothing like you. She was better—this was what she believed.
"I did not." You responded because what else could you say? It wouldn't change the fact that you didn't get to see your father for the last time.
They took him away from you.
"Well then we won't disturb you anymore." Soojin faked a smile, grabbing her mother's arm and tucking it into the crook of her elbow.
Sin-ae tried to pull her arm away from her daughter's grasp. Turning to you, she huffed and was about to say mean things when Soojin discreetly squeezed her mother's arm.
You saw how she leaned closer to the older woman to whisper something. Only a fool wouldn't know what that 'something' was. It's obvious she told Sin-ae that there's a big chance you heard about their secret.
It's the only logical explanation why the color drained out of the face of your half sister's mother. It also appeared like Sin-ae suddenly lost her ability to speak.
She couldn't even scorn at you. Truthfully, she was looking at you as if you were a ghost that's been haunting her for ages.
"I-It's getting late, Soojin-ah. Maybe we should go." Sin-ae turned to look at her daughter, smiling warmly at her.
Soojin released a deep breath, thankful that her mother understood the situation immediately.
"We should." Soojin directed her smile at you. "See you soon, sister..."
Her smile dropped when you didn't respond, but instead of pointing it out or getting mad, she just chose to walk away, dragging her mother with her.
You surprised them when you unexpectedly spoke right after they walked past you.
"Yeah." Your grip on the stem of the flowers tightened. "See you at the Board of Directors' Meeting."
Tumblr media
"She's bluffing." Sin-ae crossed her arms as she lifted her brows. She looked confident while standing still, her eyes were sharp which Soojin didn't fail to notice.
Her mother's aura gave her an illusion of power. Yeah. Sin-ae was right. You were most likely bluffing when you told them days ago that you would see them at the BOD's meeting.
Who cared if you knew about their secret? You didn't have evidence. As stated, Soojin destroyed it all. She also paid those employees who knew about the truth. They wouldn't dare spill.
That's the power of money. It could buy the silence of people.
Apart from this, no one would ever believe an illegitimate child like you. The board wouldn't even consider you as a prospective chairperson. You had the biggest share in the company but you weren't an architect in the firm. Only those who were working at Castle as an architect could be the next chairperson. Besides, why would they want an irresponsible person who suddenly quit her job? This was what you did when you abruptly decided to go to New York two years ago. You left Castle almost immediately, not caring that you still had commitments.
Jungkook, being your best friend, took over all your pending projects just so you could be free. He thought you simply wanted to leave the company. But regret washed over him upon realizing that you quit your job so you could go abroad.
Jungkook often wondered what would have happened if he didn't take over your pending projects. Would you still leave Seoul? Would you still leave him?
Probably.
You never stayed.
You left before.
You left him now too.
The last time Jungkook saw you was when he dropped you off at Castle so you could be present when Taemin's executor read the will. After that, he never saw you again.
Jungkook tried to go back to the motel but you weren't there anymore. He panicked, thinking that you went back to New York already.
But when he called your phone and you answered, he instantly felt relief engulfing his body.
"I'm still in Seoul." You informed him over the phone. You also told him you couldn't go back to his apartment anymore.
"At least tell me where you're staying..." He was begging you again. Jungkook didn't care if you thought he was pathetic. His main concern was your safety.
"I can't. But I'm safe. Promise." You assured him. He wanted to argue but then he was reminded by what you told him two years ago. You didn't want to be fixed. Maybe it's time he put his trust in you.
He should trust your words.
"Okay." He said, his heart was heavy.
You hummed.
"See you soon, Kook." And then you hung up.
You didn't lie though. Jungkook saw you after a few days. He got to know what happened through Soojin. Your sister was pissed because you inherited more than half of Taemin's assets. Jungkook also came to know that you wanted to be the next chairperson of Castle.
Soojin was trying to calm her nerves; however, everything was making her worry. She didn't only have to worry about you. Jungkook was also a threat to her position. The board probably wanted him to be the next chairperson.
Sin-ae assured her daughter there's nothing to worry about.
"Didn't I tell you I can handle Jungkook? He'll marry you so you don't need to worry if the board chooses him as your father's successor. Chin up. We got this. Like I said, the bastard is bluffing. She won't be at the meeting." Sin-ae reminded her daughter for the second time.
Soojin nodded. Her mother's words didn't give her the illusion of power. The confidence she felt right now was already real.
"Alright." Your sister held her head high as she heaved a deep sigh. "Let's go. This day is perfect. I'll either be the new chairperson or Jungkook's wife. I win regardless..."
"Yes." Sin-ae's lips twitched. "That's right. Now let's go and claim what belongs to you."
Tumblr media
Sin-ae was wrong. You weren't bluffing. You're determined to be the next chairperson of Castle Architectural Firm.
You wouldn't let Soojin taint the name of your father. She had to pay for her sins, not just for the sake of Taemin but also because she owed it to the family of those workers who had died because of the accident.
Soojin failed as an architect. The least thing she could do was to become a decent human being and face the consequences of her mistake.
You knew you could only make her pay if you had the power, but how were you supposed to be in power when you felt like everyone in this building hated you?
You couldn't get rid of the ugly feeling twisting in your gut. You were certain you weren't imagining the nasty stares everyone was giving you.
You also saw some of the employees whispering to one another while looking at you.
You inhaled sharply and went straight to the comfort room. You couldn't bear it. All your life, the people you loved looked at you like that.
It was happening again. This time, it was so much worse. Even those who knew nothing about your life were judging you. You had a feeling that they were already aware that you were an illegitimate child.
It was kind of a big deal here, especially now that you had inherited the assets bound for the legitimates. People probably saw you and your mother the same way: a leech.
But you just shook your head at this. Who cares about what people think? What's important was that you didn't lose yourself despite hearing rumors about you.
It was just a rumor. You knew the truth. The people who loved you knew the truth. Jungkook knew the truth.
"Tiger." And he loved you.
"Jungkook?" You flinched when you heard your best friend's voice. You saw his reflection in the mirror. He was leaning against the bathroom door.
"Why are you here?" Your eyes widened, jaw clenching. This was a woman's restroom. What if someone saw him here?
"I thought I saw you going here. Just wanna check..." He said this while you peeked through each cubicle. Thank Heavens no other women were here.
"You're not supposed to be here. Let's go." You made your way to the door, attempting to twist the doorknob but Jungkook stopped you.
"Kook." You sighed. "The meeting starts in ten minutes. We'll be late." You said sharply, reminding him this wasn't the time to play games.
"Five minutes." He let out a deep breath too. "Just give me five minutes, Tiger."
Your breathing hitched upon hearing the desperation in his voice. You made a mistake by meeting his gaze. The softness in his eyes never failed to make your knees go weak.
"I just wanna see you..." He drawled, lightly pushing you against the door and caging you in his arm.
Jungkook cupped your face while you pressed your cheek against his hand, instantly melting. Your stomach knotted with desire. It felt good to be touched like this.
"Kook..." Your teeth chattered though, the protest of your brain was hard to ignore. "W-We can't."
And as usual, you gave into what your mind thought was right. You were pushing him away. Again.
Stupid.
"Why can't we?" It was surprising to hear him ask this without the whiny tone. He was calm today, like an adult asking for a reasonable explanation. Jungkook knew he couldn't get what he wanted by whining.
"Make me understand, Tiger. Why can't we?" He was caressing your cheek. Your eyes fluttered shut because you didn't want to look at his doe eyes.
"Soojin."
"To hell with Soojin." You shuddered when he said this. His voice was rough, so different from the Jungkook you knew. You had to open your eyes to make sure it's still him who was caging you.
The Jungkook you knew would never say something like this.
"How many times do I have to repeat myself for you to understand?" He was looking at you through hooded eyes.
Your heart hammered through your chest.
"It's not Soojin who I want. It's you." You felt his finger tracing your bottom lip. The way he was staring at your lips made you shiver. "Nothing compares to you, baby."
Oh.
You realized you couldn't use Soojin as an excuse. It's not working anymore and frankly, it's just pissing Jungkook off. He swore he'd vomit if he heard you say your sister's name one more time.
"W-We still can't." You trained your eyes on the floor. He was about to ask why but you beat him by speaking at once.
"Because you're my rival."
You thought you'd hear him scoff or hiss, but Jungkook just clenched his jaw. Deep eyes boring into you. He grabbed your chin, forcing you to look at him.
"I'm not." He said seriously. "I quit. I'm not competing against you."
You were the one who scoffed.
"Why?" You looked at him like he was crazy. "This is your father's company too."
Jeon Jong-in worked hard to build Castle Architectural Firm. Why wouldn't his son continue his legacy?
"You never listen to me, do you?" Jungkook let out a small chuckle before booping your nose. It's amusing how fast his expression changed. "Didn't I just tell you? Nothing compares to you, Tiger..."
He was saying that he'd choose you whatever happened, even if it meant losing other things. Because really, what's the use of all these material things when you're not by his side?
"Kook..." You pressed your hand on his chest and then you're suddenly reminded by what you had tried to do when you got drunk days ago.
The last time you put your hand on his chest, you tried to kiss him.
"What excuse are you gonna give me this time, my Tiger?" The corner of his mouth quirked up. Amusement was written all over his face. "Don't tell me you're gonna say you don't think I'm in love with you?"
Jeon Jungkook was the only person you knew who was never scared to admit his true feelings. You just knew he would confess his love at any chance he got. It's like he didn't mind if he got his heart broken. Truthfully, it felt like he would get his heart broken if he didn't confess all the time.
He had always been like this. Always genuine, never scared. He acted based on what he felt and he's never sorry for it.
"Are you?" You weren't sure what took over you when you knitted your brows together and asked this.
Jungkook's eyes grew big and then he let out a dramatic gasp. It was as though he couldn't fathom the words that left your mouth.
"Where is this coming from?" He swallowed thickly, disbelief was still apparent in his eyes. "You don't think I—wait. What?"
Jungkook blinked. Once. Twice.
"Shit. You seriously think I'm not in..." He trailed off, "oh." It's like something clicked. Jungkook's disbelief turned into credence when he realized something.
He stared at you with pursed lips, like he was trying to figure you out. Your expression seemed like you were challenging him that Jungkook wasn't sure what to do.
He felt like you're not going to believe whatever he would say, so instead of blabbering how crazy he was for you, he just used his mouth into something that shocked you.
Jungkook leaned forward and without hesitating, he kissed you.
Hard.
It was as though you were waiting for him to do that because your response was instant. You kissed Jungkook back like a hungry person who hadn't eaten in days.
Jungkook pressed his chest against yours, like he wasn't content with your proximity. He wanted to be closer to you even more.
"You don't think I love you because—" He bit your lip, making you moan. Jungkook pushed your body weight against the wall with his own. You wrapped your legs around his waist, your dress hiking up in the process. "—I didn't kiss you when you were drunk?"
He got it now. You're sulking like a kid because of it? Huh. What did you want him to do? Kiss you and then have you hate him since he wasn't able to control himself?
"You're a fool if you think I didn't want to do it. I was literally on the verge of giving you my whole world right there and then." You parted your lips and allowed his tongue to explore the inside of your mouth.
Jungkook was the very definition of sweet. Everything about him tasted sweet, heavenly, and addicting. It was like he was an angel, but in reality, he made you weak. A devil meant to punish your heart for wanting to take more than you could handle.
Jungkook gave you so, so much more and you couldn't stop taking it all.
"But I don't want to take advantage of you. I want you to really want me, to really mean it when you kiss me." He cupped your ass as he hummed and groaned with desire.
You felt bolder when you asked him; "do you think I mean it now?" In between kisses.
Jungkook swiped his tongue along your teeth. "Yeah," he answered yet he groaned in dissatisfaction. "But I'm selfish, Tiger...I want more than this."
He stopped kissing you, opting to press his forehead against yours. He breathed you in. He was letting the selfish part of him consume him again.
Jungkook wanted you with all of his heart. He was disgustingly in love with you.
"Love is not my priority right now, Jungkook." You said since it was the truth. You had the opportunity to help people serve justice.
"I know.” And he understood it. Jungkook was nuzzling your nose. "Promise me you're not gonna hold back..."
He knew how much you loved Soojin. He was a little worried you're going to back down once you saw sadness in your sister's features.
"I won't." But you weren't that person anymore.
It's interesting, really. Some people swore they'd never change but there's always that one circumstance which would transform them either into a better or worse version of themselves. You hadn't realized yet if your metamorphosis was the former or the latter. All you knew was that you had reached your breaking point—your limit.
"Good." Jungkook smiled softly at you. His eyes were crinkling. "I know it. I called you Tiger for a reason."
He was finally telling you the reason why he crafted that nickname for you. He didn't elucidate any further but you felt like you already understood. Tigers represented courage. To some, it symbolized truth and justice.
"Thanks, Kook." You returned the smile. Jungkook helped straighten your dress. He kissed you one last time before opening the door so you two could face the challenge set for today.
Tumblr media
You arrived at the conference room just in time. Soojin and Sin-ae were already present. Your two brothers were here as well. They're shareholders too.
Once the quorum was recognized, the vice chairperson made a simple statement. The agenda for today was also discussed. The topic mostly revolved around the firm's responsibilities and liabilities—both civil and criminal—to the affected people.
There had been major changes with regard to ownership too. It had come to the attention of the board and other stockholders that the Kims were no longer the biggest investors in the firm.
"Quite the opposite actually." Jungkook leaned against the backrest of the chair as he crossed his arm over his chest.
He looked so relaxed, as if the matter being discussed didn't concern him.
Yes, that's actually the truth. Jungkook was just asked if he had the biggest share in Castle Architectural Firm.
"I sold all my shares. I'm just here to officially announce that I'm no longer tied to the company. I quit both as an investor and an architect."
There had been a protest after Jungkook said those words. It's clear that the majority of them couldn't accept this.
"This is ridiculous! Who will be the next chairperson now?" Mr. Han balled his hands into a fist.
Jungkook remembered this man. How could he forget? He's the same scum who disrespected Soojin and basically all women. He's a misogynistic piece of shit.
"It's not my fault you're not informed. All information is laid down for investors like you. I am not competing against the Kims."
It was revealed right there and then that Taemin's illegitimate child and Soojin were the candidates to be the next chairperson.
Of course Sin-ae lost her composure. It's expected. She's dramatic like that. She was shouting and demanding how this became possible.
The charter and the country's law stated that in order to become the company's chairperson of a professional corporation, one should be employed as an architect in the firm first.
Sin-ae talked to the Human Resources Manager before. The employee confirmed that you weren't hired. You didn't even apply.
"Oh I'm not talking about me, Mam." You smirked at your father's wife. "You see..."
For dramatic effect, you stood up and walked around the room. Everyone was either looking at you with anticipation or hatred.
Jungkook was the only one looking at you in awe. He liked seeing you like this, in control and confident. He pouted while watching you. He wished he could kiss you again.
"I know it's not a secret anymore that I'm Kim Taemin's child. But..."
But. There's this word again. More often than not, the word but followed something negative...or shocking.
In this case, it's the latter.
You saw surprise written in their faces as you revealed the truth:
"I'm not the only bastard of Kim Taemin." You stood behind the chair of one of the shareholders and architects here at Castle.
You tapped his back, causing him to sit straight.
"Everyone, meet Jung Hoseok—or should I say Kim Hoseok, the eldest son of Kim Taemin..."
Hoseok smirked too as he said “let the game begin,” under his breath.

"Seonghwa I was kidnapped."
"What the fuck."
--------------------
There was more silence in the line. Seonghwa didn't know what to say, and the half bottle of wine he had just had was starting to kick in.
"Are you serious!? Y/N are you okay!?"
"Y-yes yes I think so, I'm not harmed. I know it's a bit much to ask but, can you come get me?"
"Yes, of course, share your location and I'll be there in a minute. Are you in danger!? How many people should I bring!? Do we need guns?"
"Just you should be fine, it's just one asshole and his friend..."
"What?"
Seonghwa was visibly confused, and rightfully so.
"I'll explain everything once you're here... I'm sorry."
"No, no don't be, I'm in my garage already, I'll be there in a second."
Once you hung up you felt a little unsafe, so you walked a little further to get away from the house, and, in a blink of an eye, Seonghwa's red SUV pulled up right beside you.
He came out of the car and held your shoulders, examining your body for any bruises, scratches, or blood. Fortunately, you had nothing but a couple bruises on your knees and hips, that he couldn't see.
"Are you okay?" He asked, looking into your eyes.
"I'm okay now."
You gave him a small smile, which he returned. He put his arm around your waist and helped you seat on the passenger seat of his car.
"So," he said, as he started the car once more "what the fuck happened?"
You sighed, there was a lot to unpack.
"I've kept some really close friends from high school, San, whom I'm sure you've heard of, Jongho, Mingi, and Yunho. We were always very close, and I was particularly close to Yunho. We grew a little apart after we graduated 'cause professionally we were looking for different things, but Yunho and I realized we couldn't be apart, so we started dating. Everything was going well but towards the end, we started having more fights, more arguments,... So I decided it would be better to break up while we could still be friends before it became more toxic and our group of friends would fall apart. But he started having some really shitty behavior... He would scare and push away anyone who tried to date me or to flirt with me, but I never mentioned anything and never made much of a fuss because I really cared about him still, after all, we had been such close friends for a long time, it was hard to let go. Once I applied to your company and learned about you I was a little... starstruck and amazed, by you."
You could see him blush slightly and smile (a smile he tried to hide) from the corner of your eye. But he kept quiet and listened.
"I talked about you to my friends, and Yunho hated it. But there was nothing he could do because unlike everybody else he didn't have direct contact with you, to try and scare you off. And once I announced I was hired, he hated it cause it meant I'd be closer to you. He straight-up called me a whore. A couple days after that he apologized in a very weird way, it was creepy, so San told me he'd pick me up after work 'cause it was dark and not very safe anyway, but today- yesterday" You reiterated, after noticing it was well past midnight "I told him not to pick me up because I'd be meeting you after work, so I'd just be riding an uber anyway. I don't know if Yunho found out about me going to your house, or if he just waited every day until San didn't pick me up, but a black van pulled up in front of me and someone pulled me inside. I had no idea what was going on, I passed out and when I woke up I was in a dark room alone. Yunho barged in some time after and came with the 'see, I'm here and Seonghwa isn't' type of conversation, and that's when I found out he had orchestrated the whole thing for me to notice how much better he supposedly is..."
Seonghwa sighed and rested his head on the car's seat.
"Shit... That's a lot to unpack."
You hummed in agreement.
"I'm sorry I know it's a lot to deal with, you can just... drop me off at home."
"No, no absolutely not. He knows where you live, doesn't he? If he's insane enough to fake kidnap you, he's crazy enough to pull up to your house and do God knows what. I'm taking you back to my house, you can take a shower and I'll lend you some clothes, I'm sure something of mine fits you."
You smiled at his kindness. You really didn't expect Seonghwa to be like that. Deep down you thought he would be the classic 'work above anything' type of CEO, one that really didn't care about others, but you were surprised.
"Seonghwa, I don't know what to say... We have known each other for no longer than a week."
"Well that's true but... How do I say this without seeming too forward, we seem like a nice match. Texting you is the most fun part of most of my days and I like the way you're able to separate personal life from professional life. I'm not going to lie after we exchanged some... texts, I was afraid you'd start sprawling on my desk naked and I really didn't want to have an awkward conversation with you about limits and boundaries."
It was hard to contain your laughter. Although he was a confident man, you could tell he was a little awkward when talking about certain issues just like that. You smiled and brushed his hair away from his eyes.
You got to his house quickly, but the engine going quiet didn't stop your conversation. He gently took a hold of your hand and guided you inside.
"I'm glad you think like that, after Yunho talked to me I was afraid you'd be using me just for sex."
Seonghwa chuckled.
"I guess that's the general idea..." He sighed before continuing his sentence "Maybe I shouldn't be telling you this, I have never told anyone, not even Wooyoung 'cause he would yell at me, but it's actually the other way around. Women come to me and I happily have sex with them, not gonna lie, and then they end up ghosting me or telling me to fuck off after I try to become closer to them. I guess it's my fault, I'm a little dense when it comes to understanding what women want."
You could tell he was a little embarrassed for admitting that. He was looking away as if the wall was the most interesting thing in the world, and his cheeks had a little pink tint to them. You grabbed his hands and looked into his eyes.
"It's okay, I'll make sure to send understandable messages."
You both smiled widely at the joke, but then everything was serious. You were staring deeply into each other's eyes and you were suddenly aware of the closeness of your bodies. You could tell Seonghwa was hesitant, and you wanted to follow through with your promise.
You got on your tiptoes and kissed the corner of his lips, signaling that you wanted the same he did.
He cupped your cheek, gently yet firmly, and brought your face closer to his. Seonghwa teased you for a second, not quite closing the gap between your lips. You groaned quietly, revealing your restlessness for him, and he finally connected your lips, in a soft, innocent, yet long kiss. It soon turned into something else, something rougher and full of meaning, His hands were stiff on your waist, gripping you tightly as if preventing themselves from roaming somewhere else.
"You know, you don't need to hold back, Sir..." You said when you broke apart.
He groaned at the little pet name you knew he loved.
"I know doll, but I promised no funny business, you need to rest, it's been a long day."
Seonghwa kissed your lips gently and rubbed his thumb on your waist. He then kissed your neck and approached his lips to your ear.
"Plus, I have plenty of time to test you out, don't I?"

Friends: Platonic Omega x Mechanic Reader
-sorry, I was supposed to write more, but idk what happened
-requested
-sorry I'm late to finishing this. Hope it's not too disappointing.
-i had MCAS and a lot of other stuff to do, so I got soooo busy
It started out as a one-tine thing. You had gotten hurt on a mission to the Outer Rim, and despite only being a simple mechanic, the 501st had an insane liking to your skills. They were nice boys, and you enjoyed hanging out with them. It wasn't like you minded.
Anything was better than an old, greasy hanger.
But then it wasn't. You had been caught in a stray volley of blasts, and somehow, ended up with a hole in your shoulder. The last thing you remembered was yelling at Kix, then Jesse, and finally a sea of darkness.
This one-time volley of stray shots became another incident. Then another. And another. Sometime during your visits to the med bay, you met a young girl with bright eyes and blonde hair. She had the toothy-est smile, the most enthusiastic words, and the best laugh that made you feel like life wasn't so bad.
"And then I walked past Nala Se. She told me to stay close, but you know me, I can't stay close because what else am I supposed to do?" Omega ranted with a dramatic sigh.
Three months ago, this little girl would have been all smiles and nervous laughs. Now, she talked like she had known you for years.
"The boys always give me these weird looks. I don't really care though. They're all Melanie's because I'm different...!"
Whenever Omega had nothing to do, she came to your room. The girl always said it was to run 'tests', but you knew better. She just needed someone to talk to.
"Hey, (Y/n)?"
You hummed in acknowledgement.
"We're...friends right?"
You raised a curious brow. Omega wasn't one to openly show doubt unless asked about it. Her enthusiasm and natural curiosity always kept that part of her in check. Yet the look in her eyes was different today.
Those orbs swirled with uncertainty, worry, and so much doubt you couldn't understand. You were a simple mechanic, not a top-tier psychologist. "Where is this coming from, Omega?" you inquired.
Omega fiddled with her thumbs. "Well...someone said to me today that I annoy you and that you'd prefer talking to a protocol Droid over me because we're fake friends." That was nonsense. Whoever said that to your dear Omega would have to watch their backs because...
...where in the Universe would you be without little Omega?
"Stop right there." you firmly stated. "Whoever said that is going to have a long talk with my trusty wrench over here. As soon as I can walked again, I'll be sure to make sure everyone knows we're the bestest friends."
A smile rose to your lips but Omega didn't return it. "If I hadn't met you, then I'd be so lonely here every single day. Who else am I supposed to make friendship bracelets for anyway?"
Omega blinked. "Friendship bracelets?" You dug a hand in your pocket and pulled out two braided bracelets. "I worked all night on these." One was a marvelous (colour) while the other a dazzling (colour). You helped put one on Omega's wrist before doing the same with yours.
The frown painted on Omega's lips disappeared in an instant. She beamed, and it was so bright it could have rivaled the sun. "Wow!" she exclaimed, jumping to her feet. "You made this? It's so pretty! I love it!" Omega opened her arms and tackled you in the tightest hug she could muster. "Thank you!"
You ruffled her hair with a grin. "Don't go doubting the power of our friendship because one measly kid says it's 'fake'." Omega pulled away and matched your grin. "You're right. I don't know why I listened to that kid anyway. He's always been known for being mean."
"Then why did you listen to him?"
Omega blinked and rubbed the back of her neck nervously. It was as if she debated between telling the truth or making up a white-lie. If there was anything you knew about clones, it was that they were all terrible liars. Omega was no different.
"I...I guess it's because I'm not used to talking to people much. I've never really been lied to, so it's sort of new to me." You nodded thoughtfully. "Because it's not something you'd think of doing."
"Yeah..."
You ruffled her hair again, watching as her eyes darkened and lightened like a passing patch of cloud. "For a mechanic," Omega scratched her cheek sheepishly, "you're really sharp." You shrugged. "Sometimes you have to be in order to guess the parts that need fixing in a pinch. You learn overtime."
"Oh, that makes sense."
A small chuckle left your lips. You planted both hands on Omega's shoulders firmly. "Listen here, no matter what anyone says, we're friends for as long as I'm breathing. Don't listen to the extras, because you're the main character of your own story."
Omega smiled, taking one of your hands and giving it a good squeeze.
It was funny to imagine how these talks remained a one-tine thing. After various other visits, you got to know Omega on a personal level, as well as how she was as a person.
If there was am author writing your book now, you hoped you were a main character too.

Chapter Nineteen: A Psychotic Break
Tumblr media
Rated PG
Masterlist
~Oh, she's sweet but a psycho
A little bit psycho
At night she screamin'
"I'm-ma-ma-ma out my mind"
Oh, she's sweet but a Psycho~
"HOW DO YOU KNOW SAM AND DEAN?!" He shouted.
It took effort, but I didn't flinch. I blinked and, slowly, raised that eyebrow again. Though I couldn't see his eyes, I could feel the annoyance rising in his mind.
"Tell ya what," I said, putting on my best 'let's make a deal' face, "I'm a reasonable girl, so if you tell me just one thing, then I'll tell ya anything you want to know."
"Hmmm..." The guy studied me, walking in a circle around my chair and eating his lolli-pop.
Normally, I'd be scared out of my wits. This entity in front of me, whoever he was, was clearly immensely powerful; warping reality on that scale isn't exactly a party trick. Just by looking at the scene around me, I knew this guy wasn't Loki. Loki was never this powerful. The Norse god wasn't capable of a full-on reality shift. As long as you knew it was an illusion, Loki couldn't make his illusions solid. Whoever was talking to me now, however, had made four solid copies of himself. It would take an immense amount of raw power to do something like that. One would think that a being with this much power would scare me more than Loki just on principle.
But he didn't.
For some strange reason, he didn't. There was just something about this guy, quite opposite to the original owner of the face he was wearing, that told me he meant no real harm. I didn't want to mess with any more heads but a quick poke around his emotions told me that this guy was a friend to the Winchesters; he was fond of them actually. A part of him looked up to the Winchesters and another part felt like he owed them something. So, if I was their friend, then this entity wasn't going to harm me.
All mind reading and prior knowledge aside, I just wasn't intimidated by him. Maybe it was the cherry-flavored lolli-pop stuck in his mouth. Or maybe it was the height. I'm not one to talk about being vertically challenged but this guy was no Sam Winchester, that was for sure.
"It's up to you." I shrugged, spreading my hands. "But I want you to know, that I have literal days to sit here and not say a word."
The man chuckled and pulled the lolli-pop from his mouth.
"Well, I'd like you to know that I am very good at getting people to talk." He paused, tilting his head to the side as if thinking about something. "Not as good as Castiel o'course. Now, that guy could make em' sing. Wowie!"
The man didn't seem to be making a threat as much as an observation. I could feel my nose scrunch up with discomfort for thoughts of what Castiel might do to me if he ever found out my secret. Would he torture me?
I pushed the thought away and wiped the discomfort from my face, replacing it with a smirk. Now was not the time for grim thoughts.
"I think you'll find that I have an extraordinary talent for saying 'no'," I said, leaning forward and folding my hands together on top of the table.
"You think so?" He challenged, amused by the tiny child that thought she could beat him.
I shrugged.
"It's one of my charms. Besides, are you really gonna torture a kid?" I pointed out. I had to remember to use my physical age as the tool it was.
"Of course not!" The man scoffed, waving a hand, "That's low; even for me."
"Guess we're at a stalemate then!" I sighed.
"Hmm." The man twisted the stick of his Lolli-pop in between his fingers. "What if I were to ask really nicely?"
"I'd say 'no'."
"What if I said 'please'?"
"I'd say 'no'."
"What if I gave you candy?"
"I'd be tempted, then I'd be creeped out, then I'd say 'no'." I grinned at him. The man frowned and pointed his lolli-pop at me accusingly.
"You know, for an eight-year-old or whatever you are, you sure don't act like a kid," He said, I couldn't see past his stupid reflective glasses but I thought he was narrowing his eyes.
"Oh, sorry. Is this better?" I cleared my throat in a very mature way before giving him my best pouty frown and doe-eyed puppy look.
"Mommy tol' me nevur to take candwy fwum stwangurs," I said in an innocent baby voice.
"Hmmm. It's close, but you're still acting just a smidge too old. Maybe a 'goo-goo ga-ga' would help!" He smirked. He'd turned my own sass against me. This guy was good. I kinda wanted to punch him.
"Nah, I don't think it would work," I said, smiling thinly.
"Aw, that's a shame. So how old are you really?" He asked.
"No."
"C'mon!"
"No."
"Geez, kiddo. You are really good at saying that, aren't you?" He tried.
I didn't answer. I just smiled at him, pleasantly. The man rolled his eyes, cursing under his breath.
"I can't believe I'm doing this," He muttered. He turned to me. "Fine! What's your question, kid?"
I folded my hands in my lap and collected my thoughts. He couldn't read my mind, I knew. I felt like a sphinx of stone. Speaking as calmly as I could, I asked my question.
"Earlier, when I called you Loki, you said 'wrong religion' and you said you'd killed him; I'm guessing for a slice of revenge. So, my question for you is this: What's the name of the one that talks to you when you're all alone?"
The man shifted his weight and tugged at the collar of his stupid police outfit. The color drained from his face and all his muscles tightened. He clenched his lolli-pop in his teeth, pressing so hard that it shattered. Moving to grab another, he stuck quivering hands into his pockets, but he didn't remove them. The man raised an eyebrow at me and forced a laugh. He was uncomfortable, deeply so, and afraid of something. Afraid not of the thing itself, but the memory of it. Something was haunting him. I could see it in his eyes. All that time alone.
Using my power, I pulled on that fear.
"That's it?" He scoffed faking nonchalance. I shrugged, simply.
"That's it."
"Call me the Trickster." The man smirked. He ripped off those stupid sunglasses and leaned into a mocking sort of bow. "Pleasure to meet ya, kiddo! No, I don't answer fan-mail."
I tilted my head and kept smiling at him, raising an eyebrow expectantly. I didn't speak. The man's smirk shrank from his face as he slowly straightened back up, regarding me with a suspicious and cautious expression. His feet shifted him a little further away from me.
"What's that smile for?" He asked.
"You didn't answer my question, Mr. Trickster." I kept my voice that same unsettling calm and pulled harder on his fear, feeling it rise and crowd his mind. The guy calling himself the trickster pretended to think about my statement.
"Yeah, no; I'm pretty sure I did." He said, nodding. I smiled wider.
“No, you didn’t.”
“Your question doesn’t make sense, kid.” His voice was harsh and biting.
“Yes, it does.”
“Well, I sure as Hell don’t understand it.”
“Yes, you do.”
The man forced a laugh, but it only came off as nervous; he shook his finger at me.
“Are you a sphinx or something?”
"Only in the metaphorical sense, and you are not so clever as you think."
The man glared at me, his lip curling into a scowl. He leaned against the table and looked down at me. I'd made a wrong move; he was angry now, but I could still fix this.
"And you are way too clever for a kid."
"You're right." I nodded.
"Ya gonna tell me why?"
I leaned forward, looking him dead in the eyes. I grasped onto his fear and yanked on it as hard as I could without making it too suspicious.
"No."
The man scowled, glaring down at me. I kept my face impassive and stared back up at him. It was a battle of wills. Who would be the first to look away? Who would be the first to break?
Not me.
The man cast his eyes to the ceiling, throwing his hands into the air.
"GABRIEL!" He shouted. "My name is Gabriel!”
“You’re the angel?”
“Archangel and yes. Ya happy?!" He asked bitingly.
I smiled again, this time in a much more childish way.
"Yes."
I released my hold on Gabriel’s emotions and folded my hands in my lap. Gabriel nodded briskly. His stupid police getup disappeared, replaced by his outfit from earlier, a white t-shirt beneath a brown leather jacket, and a pair of standard jeans. Across the table from me, a second metal chair appeared out of nowhere and Gabriel pulled it out and sat. Folding his hands in front of him on the tabletop as I had previously done, he studied my face.
“My turn now, right?” He asked.
“That was the deal,” I replied with a shrug, returning to my usual sarcastic ways.
“Alrighty. You like games, kid?” He spoke the word as if he didn’t believe it was true. “Let’s play a game.”
“Ooh goodie! What game? Is it checkers? I’m great at checkers.” I rubbed my hands together in faux excitement.
“It’s easy,” Gabriel smirked. “You think you’re clever? Let’s see how clever. I ask you up to fifteen questions per topic, and you have to answer them. But, here’s the catch: You can only answer with one word. Got it?”
I was about to open my mouth to speak but, taking a look at the expression on the archangel’s face told me that this confirmation of my understanding was his little game’s first round. I pursed my lips, reforming my reply.
“Why?” I asked.
“Why only one word?” He clarified.
“Yeah.”
Gabriel’s eyes widened a bit and he nodded as if understanding something.
“Well, because I’m a professional liar and I know that it is much harder to tell a lie if you can’t provide details. You lie, you lose. And I don’t have to read your mind to know if you’re lying. So, one word,” He explained. I nodded.
“Ready to play?”
“Yes.”
Suddenly, we were sitting in the bunker’s library. Gabriel was smirking at me. The game was on.
It was time to see if I was smarter than a five-billion-year-old cosmic entity. My bets were on no.
***
“Let’s start out easy, shall we? How did you meet the Winchesters?” Gabriel asked.
He watched her face. This game was a test, it was all about the words she chose and the way she said them. The more abstract the child’s answers, the cleverer the kid was. Details of the story she was barely telling registered in the Archangel’s mind; one after the other, like lines on a page.
“Alleyway,” The child answered. Interesting already.
“What happened in the alleyway?”
“Salvaged.” Thinks herself lesser in value.
“From what?”
“Idiots.” Views some as beneath her. Strange.
“Why did the idiots attack you?”
“Inebriated.” Drunk. Why not say drunk? Why choose the word inebriated?
“Were the inebriated idiots all the Winchesters salvaged you from?”
“Abridged.” Another abstract answer. Yes!
“What else was in that alleyway?”
“Suffering.”
“Physical pain or otherwise? Elaborate.”
“All-encompassing.” Hyphenating, clever move.
“Cheater, cheater, pumpkin eater! Who said you could hyphenate?” Gabriel spoke accusingly. The girl shrugged with an innocent expression on her face.
“Unstipulated.” Exploiting loopholes; perfect.
“So why was this suffering of yours all-encompassing? What was causing it?” He asked, getting back to the point.
“Shiver.” Not shivering but shiver. Why only say shiver?
“Were you in danger of dying by hypothermia?”
“Agony.”
“But not death?” This question was more directed toward himself, but the girl answered anyway.
“Enduring.” Fierce pain but not death.
“Enduring for what?”
“Victorious.”
“Why do you want to win?”
“Obligation.”
“Obligation to what?”
“Brother.”
“Why?”
“Nevermore,” She said, coolly.
Edger Allen Poe: The Raven: Verse 14; Quoth the Raven “Nevermore”
Time to switch topics.
“Why did the Winchesters help you?”
She shrugged.
“Screamed.” Simple enough. Disappointingly simple.
“Why were you in the alleyway?”
The girl paused.
“Caution.” She said, slowly. Yet she had been attacked. That was an interesting answer.
“Caution for what?”
“Harm.”
Gabriel nodded, that was a little confusing, but he was sure he would figure it out eventually.
“So, were you looking for the Winchesters, or did they find you by chance?”
The girl thought about this for a bit before answering. Just the pause she had taken was interesting, that meant the answer was more complicated than a yes or a no.
“Watching,” She decided.
“Why were you watching?”
“Waiting.” This was getting better by the second.
“Waiting for what?”
She paused again.
“Seek.” There was a secret smile in her eyes when she answered this time. She thinks she has an advantage. Maybe she does…
“Where was this?”
“Michigan.”
“What town?”
It was a trick question; her answer would have to be two words; there was no avoiding it. Only a few minutes into his little game and he was already trying to trip the girl up. That wasn’t cheating or anything; if this kid thought that beating him was going to be a cakewalk then she had another thing coming.
“Two,” She replied.
“The town’s name is two words?” He asked her only to be sure of the context.
“Yes.”
“Okay, answer the question anyway. If I don’t know the town when you give me the word, then you lose.” He challenged. The girl took a second to think.
“Ferry.”
“Was the town Copper Harbor, Michigan?”
The girl grinned.
“Yep.”
Gabriel raised an eyebrow and nodded, the smirk on his face growing wider. This kid was clever. He was getting excited. For the first time in he didn’t know how many millennia, Gabriel had a decent game to play, and for the first time in just as many years, he finally had someone to play with. For as long as the archangel could remember, he had loved a good game. He had always relished the challenge of solving a brilliant puzzle or capturing an opponent’s king. When chess had been invented, he had become a master. Gabriel adored beating people at things. He loved to best them, yes, but not only that. He loved to teach them something too; to show them how they could be better. But for as long as he had lived, Gabriel had never been given a real challenge. His brothers could have given him one of course, but they were so predictable and they had always been fighting. They had never cared to really play with him; not the sort of game he had wanted. A game of wits. A game of minds.
For someone who had been stuck on Earth as long as he had, things just got so boring. It wasn’t as if he could leave the planet; despite how much he had desperately wanted to. He had to stay and honor the terms of his witness protection agreement with Loki. After a while, no game on the planet could capture his interest or cure his horrid boredom. The only minor distraction he’d had was the humans.
Gabriel thought humans were wonderful things. Though, for a much different reason than his little brother, Castiel, did. Castiel loved humans for their hearts; Gabriel loved them for their minds. Not all of them were entertaining of course; he wasn’t lucky enough for that. The fact of his life was that there was only a disappointing handful of interesting individuals out there to entertain him. The archangel had had a hay-day when he’d met Einstein! (And you wonder why everyone thought he was crazy.) Though it was somewhat fun for him to watch the boring majority of humanity stumble and fall whenever he tried to teach them a lesson, it wasn’t ever enough.
Gabriel had longed for someone, anyone, even a human, he could play a game with. Now, suddenly, here she was. Someone clever, someone who knew what clever meant, someone who actually wanted to play a real game. Gabriel had seen it in her eyes the moment he’d given her the chance to ask him her question. She was bored too. This was exhilarating for her too.
As if all that wasn’t good enough, Gabriel couldn’t read her mind. This fact probably should have concerned him more than it did, but he couldn’t focus on a tiny detail like that. No, this was too good of a chance to pass up. Not even his nephew had been able to give him a decent challenge. Gabriel was too excited to focus on something so seemingly trivial. He was excited, he was high on the thrill of the chase. No one ever said you couldn’t fool an archangel, and Gabriel didn’t know it, but he had been fooled. He had been fooled by a tiny girl with the face of a child.
Another entity as powerful as he was would most likely consider it beneath them to play a game of wits with a child, to be challenged by a child. But not Gabriel. He had been waiting for a chance like this for all of his existence; age simply didn’t matter to him anymore. That wasn’t to say he wasn’t curious, however.
This was his element. This was his obsession. This was his chance. It was time to have some fun.
“Now all that’s out of the way, let’s ask some things about you. What’s your name?”
“Marty.”
“Nice name. How old are you, Marty?”
“Enough.” The girl smirked. She was good. But he was just a little better.
“How many years have you been alive?”
“Fourteen.” That was her answer. There was darkness in his eyes this time. Interesting.
“How many years have you existed?”
A look of fear crossed her face, like a deer caught in headlights. But the look vanished as soon as it came and was replaced with a confident smirk.
“Conservation.” She answered.
Gabriel cursed internally. The law of conservation of energy; energy is neither created nor destroyed. Of course, she would say something like that.
“Okay, miss-smarty-pants. How many years have you been aware of your existence?”
Marty swallowed and looked down at her hands in her lap.
“Nineteen.” Now they were getting somewhere.
“Riddle me this, Batman. How can you be fourteen and nineteen at the same time?”
She glared at her folded hands.
“Trapped.” The way she stressed the word told Gabriel that she was more than resentful of her condition.
“Trapped how? Elaborate,” He demanded.
“Skin,” She said, nearly growling.
“Elaborate,” He repeated, nodding.
“Cage,” Her voice quivered.
“Why?” He leaned forward now, waiting. This would be the crucial response. Marty looked up, there were ghost tears in her eyes.
“Neverland.”
Very interesting. Time for a new line of questions.
“Why did you come with the Winchesters?”
“Invited.”
“Which one invited you?”
She smiled a little.
“Jack.”
“Why did he ask you to come here?”
“Protection.”
“What led him to offer you protection?”
“Mendicant.”
Mendicant. Definition: One who begs. So, did she ask to come or was she invited? And if she was begging, that begs the question of why.
“What were you begging for?”
“Life.”
“Why were you begging for your life.”
Marty tilted her head.
“Guillotine.”
Her use of the word guillotine could be a metaphor, or it could mean something very literal. Gabriel had the suspicion that it meant a little of both.
“What did Jack offer to protect you from?”
She shrugged.
“Monster,” She said as if it was obvious.
“Yours or someone else’s?”
“Everyone’s,” Marty whispered.
There it was. That was it. That was the clue.
Gabriel laughed; he was winning.
“Tell me, Marty, how long ago was your family massacred?” He asked. Marty looked like she’d been stabbed in the gut and Gabriel felt a pang of guilt, but he brushed it off. It was nothing compared to his excitement.
“Five,” She replied after a moment.
“Five what?”
“Years,” Her voice cracked. Gabriel nodded.
“How have you spent those five years?”
“Alone.”
“If you’ve been on your own for so long, why accept help now?” He prodded.
“Tired.”
“What are you tired of?”
“Running.”
“That’s the practical reason, what’s the other reason?”
Marty pursed her lips.
“Name.”
“Of what?”
“Character.”
“Say it.”
“Peter Pan.” Two references to the same story in one conversation. Definitely not a coincidence. She was comparing herself to something, but what was it? What was he missing?
“Okay pumpkin, just a few more questions; then we’re done ‘cause I don’t have all day.”
“Nice.” She smiled.
"Why should I believe a word you've said to me?"
The girl grinned in a way that was meant to be friendly, but fell critically short.
"Psycho."
That response unnerved the five billion year-old archangel. What was this kid?
“What do you think of Jack?” He continued, he didn't miss a beat.
“Viridity,” She replied. Viridity; noun: Naïve innocence.
“What do you think of his parentage?”
“Irrelevant.” Gabriel had heard many words used to describe his family. Irrelevant was definitely not one of them.
“What do you want more than anything in the world?”
Marty’s answer was unexpected.
“Back.” Her voice wasn’t desperate or wistful; it was cold and hard.
“Describe yourself. Who are you, Marty?”
She had to think about this one. When she had her answer, the genius girl grinned. It wasn’t in a happy way.
“Domino.”
“Alright, one last question, then you’re free to go.” Gabriel leaned forward, his face a grim mask. “Do you have a crush on my nephew?”
Surprised by his question, Marty blinked but before long a smirk split across her cheeks and mischief gleamed in her eyes.
“Talent.” That was all she said. Gabriel knew that meant; ‘The answer may be yes, but I will say no until the day I die.’ The archangel reached a hand across the table; Marty grasped and shook it.
“Good game, kiddo. Mind telling me where Sam and Dean are now?”
“They’re on their way to New-York. They’ll be there in a few hours,” Marty said.
“Cool beans. Now go get some breakfast and I’ll see ya later.”
With a nod of his head, Gabriel was gone. The reason why he had originally come to the bunker was completely forgotten. Now he had only one thought on his mind.
He needed to find Sam and Dean.
He needed to warn them about the girl they were protecting.
When it came to individuals, there had never been something that Gabriel couldn’t figure out.
Never. Not one thing. Until now.
Gabriel had no idea what that child was.
That thought―that question mark unnerved him. That notion shook him down to his very core.
That blank space child, that missing piece little girl.
She was more terrifying to him than anything he had known in five billion years.
~You're just like me, you're out your mind
I know it's strange, we're both the crazy kind
You're tellin' me that I'm insane
Boy, don't pretend that you ain't just the same
Oh, she's sweet but a psycho
A little bit psycho
At night she screamin'
"I'm-ma-ma-ma out my mind"
Oh, she's sweet...
But a Psycho~

------------------------------------------------------------------
Seeing Sonya like this, been totally ignored by Freya about their feelings towards her, it was enough to make me realize that Freya changed an lot in years, that she was almost...mostly obsessed with me like if I was needed in her life to exist. I don't love her anymore but I'm still feeling that sister links in me. That's the only thing I have positively about her and unfortunately, it wasn't big enough today. She was acting only for me and it was making me bad about Sonya, about everything...it must stop before it goes too far, I need an plan.
After that little altercation where Freya gave me back my mother's ring, I was forced to follow her to get back to the same spot we used to sit in hidden sight today as she wanted me to think freely and for me, having to try to talk about my memories I've been thinking and I told her only memories that were talking about her or only the two of us. Sometimes bad, sometimes good, it is what she was feeling when I was talking of these memories, I didn't know if she was feeling regrets for the bad ones, I couldn't know about it.
We only left that spot when the evening came to eat something, going to an other hidden spot for that and like before, it was like before : wanting to know more about my memories but I was out of ideas, having told everything all day with her and that was almost bothering me when she was asking about something else other than me or her. She was pleading each time but still, I had to play an act of an woman who couldn't remember everything right. We then go back to her quarters, preparing to go to sleep for my first 'recovery test'.
"Freya." I called her out when we arrived in the room, her already removing her top along the way to get to the bed.
"Yes, love ?" She whispered, throwing the shirt aside and turning around to look at me, curious.
"These recovery tests...how are they going to work ?"  I asked her, staying near the front door of her room.
"Yiri, you don't need to worry about it, it's all going to go fine." She replied in an sure voice, knowing the lie behind it.
"Listen, I will not worry if you tell me what will happen." I objected, faking to know more about that situation even if I was not stupid and fully aware. "Just, tell me about everything and I will be better."
"I don't think that...."
"Freya, tell me now !" I cut her out, staying friendly to her, not wanting to raise my voice as I moved to face her.
"I....fine, I will tell you." She resigned her, taking my hands in hers as she sit on the edge of the bed with me along it. "We....I mean, Dedov.....he find an process to get your memories back rapidly & surely." She started, looking away from me, probably to hide the fact she was lying.
"How does it go ?" I demanded in an low voice.
"It's hard to say but we will give you injections." She stated, causing me to remove my hands from hers.
"Injections ? What for ?" I raised up my voice, going up from the bed in fear from that word, fainting to be scared of the subject. "Why would you give me injections ?" I added.
"It's to help you." She responded, hearing her to get up from the bed. "We're going to put you to sleep but like I said, it's an difficult & painful moment." She continued, approaching behind me at listening to her footsteps.
"Difficult & painful ? And it's used to help me ?" I muttered, shaking my head away.
"I didn't talk about the process but about me, Yiri." She corrected herself, making me to turn around to face her again. "It's hard to see you like that, having lost the most precious part of you." She said, putting her left hand on my cheeks, feeling her fingers on my skin. "Don't you see the work we're doing to save you ?"
"I don't know." I whispered, an tear coming out of my right eye...an tear that was quickly cleaned up by her hand. "It is all really necessary ? We can just let the time pass and my memories will come back like that." I proclaimed but she shook her head.
"No, we can't." She chuckled, not even removing her hand off me. "Stitch said that he want you to be useful."
"Stitch ? That hooded one-eyed guy ?" She nodded to my remark.
"I know at my part that you & him aren't real friends but he said that...." She then stopped herself in her words, making some good eyes to me. "Listen, better that we don't talk about this." She moved to make me an kiss on the cheek before withdrawing off me to go back to the bed. "Right now, you need to...." She was going to continue until knocks at the front door was heard, getting her attention.
"Do you want me to open ?" I asked her, gesturing to the door and she nodded, allowing me to walk back to the front door and opening it, discovering Sonya Kuzmin, looking an bit sad & apologizing on their face.
"Sonya, what do you want ?" Freya questioned first, seeing them from the bed.
"Uhm...I wanted to say that I'm sorry about earlier that day." They answered, hands behind the back and looking down at their feets. "I did overreact an little to you."
"You almost raised your hands on me, Sonya." Freya spoke up, going up again from the bed. "Now, get lost." She ordered in an clear voice, gesturing to me to close the door like that.
"Wait, I need something from your room....something that's belongs to me." Sonya stopped the door, putting their hands on it as I intentionally started to close it slowly.
"And what exactly ?" Freya was sounding annoyed, looking at her rolling eyes.
"An little box that was under your bed, I believe." They told her, pointing at the bed. "An box with pictures of me." They explained, pleading to have it back according to their voice.
"Alright, just don't move." Freya complied, kneeling to search under the bed and as I was watching Freya in her moves, I was suddenly tapped on my shoulder by Sonya, causing me to turn around and to see them with an note in their hands, saying 'Find me in the restrooms at midnight, trust me !'.
"Trust me." They whispered in an very low voice before moving the note away as Freya was coming back with an little brown box in her hands.
"Here's your little box." Freya mumbled, putting the box in their hands before moving back to the bed. "Now, like I said, get lost." She repeated her order, causing me to close the door slowly again.
"Be there." Sonya told me silently before the door was completely closed, making me curious about their intentions....what do they want ?....
"Come on, Yirina, let's go to sleep." Freya suggested, tapping over the place I use on the bed as she was already under the blankets and I complied, moving to get to the bed, closing the lights before 'sleeping'....
I couldn't sleeping because I wasn't able to find an good plan to escape all day, the spots I was weren't so useful to help me got an better sight on the layout of the base and on any escape points but also now because of that little note that Sonya showed to me, asking me to join them in the restrooms of the buildings at midnight and it was seeming interesting but also dangerous. Could it be an trap against me ? Or could Sonya help me as they know that I wasn't lying to them ?
We were at 9PM and waiting 3 hours on that bed while getting hold by Freya around my chest wasn't so pleasant. Struggling to not close my eyes any second was like an exploit and I was able to hold on....for 3 long hours. When the time came at midnight, I started to got up from the bed, managing to remove Freya's arms around me and putting on the shoes I've been using for days, ready to go see Sonya.
"Where are you going ?" Freya said, her voice low as I could see narrow her eyes as I was putting my boots on.
"Don't worry, I need to go to the restroom." I replied, trying to reassure her at the best I could do. "I will not be too long." I claimed, moving back next to her.
"Don't be too long." She whispered as I acted to pull out an kiss on her forehead.
"I will come back very quick." I affirmed again after that kiss, seeing an smile on her face until I fully got up and leaves the room, going into the restroom direction that was just an floor below.
I didn't cross paths with any guards during my way down and that place was very silent, maybe thinking that Perseus was believing that none of his enemies could actually infiltrate this place. I put that thought away, reconcentrating myself to go meet with Sonya in that restroom and when I entered it, I had to verify that they weren't hidden in the toilets by checking under every door until I stopped myself near the multiple sinks and then, hearing the room door getting opened.
"Are you there ?" I asked in an curious tone as I wasn't in sight of the door, staying near the sinks.
"Of course, it's me." It was Sonya's voice that answered to me, arriving in front of me with an backpack in their hands. "You have to be this loud, it could have been anyone except me." They said, sounding annoyed that I almost blew up everything.
"I'm sorry." I apologized, joining my hands together.
"Don't need to be." They muttered, putting the backpack on the ground and moving to lock the front door of the restroom. "Listen, you maybe wondering why I asked you here ?"
"Honestly no but I have some ideas in my head." I answered honestly to them as they were coming back to the backpack.
"I know that it must be strange for you but...somehow, I knew that you were acting when you stepped in during that moment with Freya." They started, my eyes going wide at hearing this, stunned that they were able to see through me.
"How ?" I breathed.
"Even after what happened to you, what they're trying to do, I knew that you were acting." They repeated, sure of themselves on that and by these words, my acting wasn't needed anymore.
"So....what are we doing here exactly ?" I demanded in an serious tone.
"I wanted to see you to share some details." They replied, taking out some files from the backpack and putting them . "I'm going to help you and the british...well, Park...to escape." They revealed to me, surprising me at my highest point, my jaw dropping from that fact.
"Uh....that's...why ?" I murmured, leaning against the sink behind me
"Because I realized that you don't deserve all of this." They responded, stopping in their moves and putting their hands on the sink next to the one I was leaned on. "When you told me that our talks weren't fake, I had an change of heart." They added, looking at me with saddened eyes. "I won't defect but I will help you."
"You don't have to do this, you know ?" I said, still surprised by their gesture.
"I know but there's no other choices for me, I can't let you & Park suffer that fate." They told me, taking their hands on one of the file they put out. "That's why you need to escape tonight." They handed me the file and I could discover that it was an report on Park's situation.
"Extensive brainwashing needed, awaiting for transfert." I muttered the notes that was marked on the file. "They're going to move her away ?" They nodded to me sadly.
"I'm not for this shit, it's sick." They exclaimed, talking about the brainwashing. "They said that the normal way of brainwashing weren't going to work because of her loyalties so they're getting her away deeper in the USSR." They revealed as I snorted in sadness to see the shitty situation we were now.
"And...and what about Dedov ?" I asked them, maybe thinking that they know about the links I had with him before.
"Stitch...he was curious and he had him left the base earlier this night." They announced, realizing that my attempt to make Dedov doubt his life wasn't so discreet to Stitch's ears for me. "He told me that since you were knowing Dedov before and he, Dedov, was having doubts, he moved him away to follow Park's procedure."
"That's means that Stitch & Freya is staying here to brainwash me while Dedov will be going away to make some extensive brainwashing on Park ?" I suggested, holding the file in my hands before giving it back to them. "We have to do something."
"I know and that's why I'm helping you." They affirmed again, putting the file in the backpack until taking out an gun from it.
"I think that it's belongs to you." They proclaimed, handing me an M1911....my own M1911 that I took in hands....it didn't change. "I don't know why but Freya insisted that your M1911 was kept for you, she said that you were having this gun before."
"Really ?" I whispered, checking out the M1911, surprised to see it back in my hands before taking it with me.
"Yes but....I found also something else in my brother's office." They told me and then, I could see an sort of diary in their hands.
"What's this ?" I demanded when they handed me the book in my hands and when I opened the first page to check it out, I was....shocked to see....who was the person that wrote in it....Eleazar....Azoulay. "Lazar ?" I was trembling by seeing his name on that book but what does it means ?
"There were an description on it : it was stolen along with some CIA files about your brainwashing, it said to have been recovered in an complex in Cuba by the CIA 3 years ago if I remember." They explained to me and I nodded, meaning that I was already aware of what happened that day 3 years ago
"It belonged to an friend." I revealed, holding the book in my hands until Sonya put their hands on the backpack to give it to me.
"I know that it's maybe hard for you to see it but you need it more than us." They proclaimed as I put the book gently in the bag and then, took it behind me. "Listen, at this moment, there's some doctors doing some drugging to Park at the same room they experimented on you." They told me, peaking their head to see if no one was trying to enter the room. "Follow me and we'll save her."
"I'm following you, Sonya." I nodded to them fully as they started to walk to reopen the door.
I couldn't believe that Sonya was the one that was going to help me to get out of this hell but....they're an good person despite everything, the only good person in this base along with Dedov and the fact they, somehow, managed to get their hands on an diary that was to Lazar....it bring an tear to my eyes....this...I wanted to thanks them an hundred times but this wasn't the tome.
They were opening the lead, stopping at each hallway we were going to engage ourselves and by luck, the hallways of the building were all empty as explained by them that Stitch had almost all the men getting involved in his operations in Verdansk, giving us both an chance to move freely around the building to get to the other one where Park was keeping for drugs tests, encountering no Perseus soldiers on the way to the room she was hold.
"Okay, ready to play an act again ?" Sonya demanded in an serious voice as we were arriving near the medical room, stopping near the door of it.
"What do you want me to do ?" I asked them, my M1911 in hands as I could do anything to save Park from Perseus's hands.
"Make them believe that you got me in hostage, I will try to help if it goes wrong." They replied, standing still, causing me to take them as an 'human shield'...ready to play an act. "Stay true to your role and be threatening." They adviced, knowing that I have to be rude and ruthless in that room.
"I'm not going to be gently but okay." I thanked for the advice, preparing myself before opening slowly the door of the room, holding Sonya at gunpoint with my M1911 with safety on. When we entered, we could see Park on that stretcher, half-unconscious as two doctors were making tests. "Put your hands up and free her !" I ordered, stepping in the moment, carefully closing the door behind me violently to get their attention.
"What ? How ?" One of the doctors chuckled, seeing me holding one of their owns with my pistol.
"You're deaf ? Free her or I'll blow their head off." I spoke up, getting my M1911 right on Sonya's head as an act, walking slowly towards the doctors.
"Do what she said, for fuck sake !" Sonya pleaded in an almost scared voice, causing one of the doctor to comply while the second that didn't talk, wasn't moving, near an little trolley.
As the first doctor was removing Park's links to get her free and me watching him, the second doctor decided to act, pushing with his feets the trolley towards me & Sonya. I reacted quickly by throwing Sonya away to the direction we came in to stop the trolley before it hit me violently. On it, there were some scalpels and as my M1911 wasn't silenced and that it couldn bring too attention on us, I took the choice to take one of the scalpel in my hand to throw it like that at the second doctor.
It hit him right in the left eye, causing him to fall on his back, seemingly killing him but then, the first doctor that was removing Park's links also acted by throwing him on me, losing my M1911 in the process and finding himself on top of me, starting to strangle me with his hands at my neck, trying to reach my gun that wasn't afar from my right hand until he put his hand on my arm to avoid me to move.
"Clear !" I heard Sonya almost shout in the room until suddenly, I saw them arriving behind the first doctor with an defibrilator in hands and then, shocked him to death by activating it right between his head in an second. "Bastard !" They spit on him after he was away from me as I got up, catching back my breath.
"Thanks." I said in an low voice, grabbing back my pistol before moving to get to Park.
"No need to." Sonya stated, walking with me to remove the rest of the links that was holding Park on that stretcher.
"Yiri..." Park's voice was audible to me, sounding very low and drugged.
"Park, I'm here, we're getting out of here." I reassured her as we were finished with the links before I hugged her, so happy to find her again after all these times despite that she wasn't so reactive because of her state. "Thank you, Sonya."
"I did what needs to be done, Yirina." Sonya affirmed to me, offering their hands to me. "You & her....I'm not the best on this subject but you're really made for each other." They said as we both shook hands, bringing an smile on my face before I move to hold Park's body in my arms.
"And now ?" I questioned them as they were the one with the plan.
"There's an car in an hangar that you can use." They replied as they took my M1911, knowing that I can't use it while holding Park. "Once we got here, you drove away without looking back from this base and back to your friends."
"And you ?" I whispered but they shook their head.
"I'll be fine, let's go." They ordered, moving back to the door as I start to follow her slowly.
It was true....we were getting out of this hell and it was Sonya that was doing this....you will have your help from the inside....Bell's words to me in those dreams....it was meaning my inside fight but also Sonya's help for us. They were now an friend to me. They were still leading the way to get outside of the building, still cautious of any potentials guards that we can badly cross paths with but that wasn't the case.
We got out of the building and we moved away to get to the place that they talked about to me : an hangar where they prepared an vehicle for us at the other side of the base...of the airstrip but thankfully, there were almost no soldiers around to stop us and when we arrived in that hanger, discovering the military jeep in it, our escape car, I was already feeling the freedom, knowing that me & Park were escaping thanks to Sonya.
"Don't worry, Park, we're leaving." I recomforted Park as I was installing her on the front passenger seat of the jeep.
"Here's the keys." Sonya said, giving me the jeep's keys after I was done with Park, quickly moving to get on the driver seat. "Once you start the engine, drive at full speed through the portal base and be fast." They adviced me as I was getting on my seat.
"I know you said that I don't need to worry but...what if they knew about you ?" I demanded, worried about what could happen to them if their role were discovered in that escape.
"We'll see but I hope for the best." They responded, raising their shoulders, unsure about it. "I don't think that they can accuse me of anything." They scoffed with an grin that I could reciprocate for once.
"Of course, you're an good person, Sonya." I admitted with the smile I had.
"Oh, fuck off." They told me in an funny tone, making me laugh about it. "I'm not used to have that but...thanks, anyway." They added, going away from the car as I was starting the jeep's engine, getting it work until.....
"Don't fucking move !" I heard someone shouted in front of the jeep, passing through an open door.....it was Freya, full dressed in military clothes and holding an pistol towards me.
"What the fuck are you doing here ?" Sonya spoke up, raising their hands as I was frozed in place, my hands still on the keys, trying to move them slowly towards the steering wheel.
"I start to think that she was very long to go to the toilets so I decided to check up." Freya replied, angered about the situation....not this close...."You....you played your stupid act again, Yirina ?" She demanded and I sadly nodded.
"You gave me no choices !" I stated, also angry about her. "You became obsessed by having me back, even forgetting that Sonya was loving you for real." I defended, giving my thoughts as Sonya looked at me, surprised.
"And you ? You became too obsessed with the woman that did fucked up your life ?" She attacked me back on the subject, not paying attention to Sonya.
"Maybe but you....you tried to brainwash me too....the person that was your sister." I exclaimed, managing to get my hands on the steering wheel. "You stole my mother's ring in that airstrip and you also gave me Adler's sunglasses." I added, wondering why I talked about those glasses, still in my pants pocket along with my ring.
"Come on, Freya, put the gun down and let them go." Sonya ordered, wanting to defuse the situation and to put some goods senses in Freya.
"You betrayed me and you expect me to let you go ?" Freya protested, still pointing her gun to me & Park, still half-unconscious.
"Park....we will do this..." I whispered in an very low voice, putting my right hand on her left arm, taking the occasion to make the car ready to go backwards with the gear box.
"Freya, trust me, it's for your good, put your gun down." Sonya spoke up, still moving towards Freya who wasn't moving at all.
"Stop the car and get out !" Freya ordered in an enraged tone, seeing the darkness in her eyes. "You're belonging to me, Yirina....to me !" She exclaimed loudly. "You're my property, he told me that." She added, feeling so offusqued by the words she was using to describe me, giving no choices that I couldn't back down.
"I'm taking my choices, Freya !" I expressed my thoughts to her before closing my eyes and taking an deep breath. "I'm doing this for me and for Park."  I affirmed before opening my eyes....starting to drive away as my move caused Freya to shot 2 bullets in our direction before Sonya jumped on her to stop her.
I couldn't look back as Sonya told me. I was now focused on getting us away from here, looking behind us to make an drift to drive forwards to the portal of the base as the alarm was getting rang at the moment I could use the accelerator to drive at full speed. I passed through the few soldiers that were trying to do something before I managed to smash the little fence that was serving as an portal, feeling the real freedom after passing through it.
We were now free as I was now driving at full speed away from the base we were kept, going south as Freya unadvertantly gave me the place we were earlier that day and remembering the CIA hideout from an few kilometers from Verdansk....ready to be angry about Hudson giving us up to Perseus when we will arrive but as I was engaging myself on the freeway and arriving near the airport, still at full speed, I realized in horror only now that the windshield was having an bullet hole in it....discovering at the same time that I was wounded at my left shoulder.
"Shit..." I whispered, seeing the blood on my shirt, having not been able to feel the gunshot because of the excitment I had when leaving this base, causing me to press the accelerator like never before.
"You...you're wounded." I could hear Park's voice slowly panicking in an low tone.
"I'm okay, Park." I insisted despite starting to feel weird, knowing that I could pass out at any moment from now. "Don't look...I'm alright." I said, keeping my eyes on the road as I was turning around to drive on the same road that we took to arrive in Verdansk.
"Yirina...you...you...you saved me." Park told me, looking to keep it up.
"I told you that we will escape." I snorted, sounding sad as tears were coming out of my eyes, thinking about the whole situation but starting to cry because I could die of that gunshot...I was struggling to not die in front of her.
"No....don't cry, we made it." She adviced me, trying to recomfort me but I couldn't....no...I couldn't.
"Yes but I'm dying." I chuckled, trying to clean up the tears on my wound but only putting some blood of my wound on it. "I'm trying my best." I added.
"Like you always do." She smiled before she closed her eyes....falling back unconscious.
"Park, stay...stay with me." I ordered, panicked, taking an second to take her pulse at her neck, she was still alive but the drugs must have knocked her out again...."Shit....Park, stay strong !" I continued, still panicking as I was refocused back on driving the jeep to our destination.
It took me....more than 5 minutes to arrive at the CIA hideout, remembering it quickly in my hands and....I was still panicked when I stopped the car, seeing Park unconscious and since that nobody was coming out, I moved with my wound to get Park out of the car, holding with the rest of the strengh remaining that I got in me that was focused on keeping me alive. I was holding her....to save her.
"Help !" I shouted, opening the front door of the safehouse with my right feet violently and then, I could discover inside....Woods...Sims....& Song...all talking together....
"My god....Yirina ?" Woods was the first to spoke up, shocked to see me here, holding Park.
"Grigoriev ?" Song followed up.
"Help us....help her !" I shouted to them, causing them to move quickly towards us. "Get her quick....heal her quick !" I ordered in an clear and loud voice to them.
"I'm taking her !" Sims said, opening his arms to take Park off me, to bring her to the medical room to get her well....to save her....as Woods & Song were getting next to me.
"What happened, Yirina ?" Woods demanded, checking up my state and seeing my wound.
"Woods, she's wounded !" Song stated, moving her hands to hold me too but like that, I refused her help.
"I know but.....where is this fucking traitor ?" I yelled, all angry and forgetting that my wound was more important than to beat the shit out of Hudson.
"Who is fuck is yelli-...." I was surprised when I saw Hudson arriving inside the room in the direction that Sims took with Park and he stopped himself when our eyes met, feeling the whole rage inside of me going up.
"You sold us up to Perseus !" I started, getting Woods & Song hands off me before starting to walk slowly towards him, clenching my left fist and my right hand above my wound "You sold...." I wanted to say until....I couldn't move, having no more strenght to hold on, feeling myself going away....before I fall back hardly on the ground, on my back.
My vision was getting blurred, my whole body wasn't responding anymore at the moves I was thinking about as I could see Woods & Song coming towards me, the light of the ceilling slowly blinding me before I closed my eyes, thinking it was maybe the end of everything for me....feeling that Freya shot me because I was 'her property'.....that I was maybe lost for good....that I lost what I want to keep with me....
We escaped this hell....but at what cost ?

Summary: "If we can go one week with no lies, then we will go on a field trip, only the winners, of course."
That was Charles' idea...to be completely honest, Charles only made this bet so Erik would flirt with him...Charles' plan was working out to be spectacularly terrible.
There had been a bet going around the school, among the staff, mainly. Charles had been preaching the importance of honesty and transparency, but he quickly realized that his colleagues needed more incentive.
"If we can go one week with no lies, then we will go on a field trip, only the winners, of course."
That was Charles' idea and so far, it was quite fun. To be completely honest, Charles only made this bet so Erik would flirt with him -unintentionally, mind you. Two days in, and Charles' plan was working out to be spectacularly terrible. Erik was seemingly avoiding Charles, which was a valid strategy, but still.
Charles had walked into the lounge room, hoping to catch Erik and a cup of coffee. Erik was indeed there, likely on his way out of the lounge. Erik wore that borderline sinful black turtleneck along with a tight pair of pants.
"Erik, fancy a game of chess during our 30 minute break?"
Erik had finally taken note of Charles' presence and became extremely nervous for some godforesaken reason. Erik knew the reason: he likes Charles, it's as simple as that. He loves those piercing blue eyes, the kind smile, the soft, untouched hands of Charles Xavier. He won't deny it... okay, well, maybe he will. Everyone seems to know this fact besides Charles.
" I would love to Charles but I have tests to grade," he said with an obviously fake smile. Technically, that wasn't a lie; Erik would love to play a game with Charles and he did have tests to grade. Charles sighed, "oh, I see...well, perhaps next time then." Erik gave a genuine smile this time.
"Perhaps." On the way out, he brushed past Charles, both of their faces reddening madly. Oh, if only they could see each other from an outsider's perspective. They are so obviously in love even a blind man could see it and a deaf girl could hear it.
***
Charles was walking down one of the school's many corridors, in search of one Erik Lehnsherr.
"Charles," Raven spoke from behind him. "Yes?" He queried, turning to see her. "Have you seen Hank?" So Raven had the same idea as Charles it seems.
"That depends, have you seen Erik?"
"Ooh, are you trying to seduce him or something?"
"I won't tell if you won't."
"Deal, Erik is by the fountain reading."
"Lovely, Hank is in the tennis court."
Charles immediately turned around and began pacing to his destination. 'Of course Erik was reading' Charles thought to himself. He strolled over to one of the many exits of the building.  Charles wandered lost in thought . Maybe I'll have a romantic moment with Erik by the fountain, like in all of those Rom-coms that Raven keeps telling me about. Maybe we could be like Bella and Edward—less cliche of course... Unbeknownst to Charles, he was about to walk face first into his Edward. This realization came with the audible thud of Charles' face colliding with the muscly chest of Erik, Erik's book now on the floor as a result.   Charles looked up to find a very flustered Erik—not that Erik looked flustered, but the bar of flustered for the (usually stoic) Erik is very low.
"Erik, hello again.  Sorry, let me-"
Charles bent down at the exact same time Erik did.  Their foreheads met with a (less audible, but still) very painful thud, sending both men backwards on their asses.
"Fuck" Erik muttered.  Erik looked up to see Charles: his legs bent upward and nearly sprawled out with his hand against his forehead.  For some reason (again, Erik knew the reason), Charles seemed to be the most captivating creature on earth, far more interesting than Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere.  Charles had looked up about four seconds before Erik realized he was staring.  Erik's eyes quickly darted away from Charles' strikingly blue ones.  "Well, I had been meaning to run into you, but this was not what I had in mind." Erik chuckled at this.
"I would hope." Charles smiled at Erik.  On the outside, Erik simply sat in nearly the exact position of Charles, mouth slightly open but still with a calm demeanor.  On the inside it sounded more like this:
Holy shit, Charles' eyes are piercing through my fucking soul.  If we were back in about 400 b.c I would think this man is Jesus and confess my sins to him...
"Well, Jesus was actually brown—likely with dark eyes. He was born in Nazareth, which was in the Middle East.  The only reason we think Jesus is white is because DaVinci was commissioned to paint a picture of Jesus.  He, of course, modeled it after his boyfriend at the time." Erik was hit with an abrupt sense of confusion.
"Hey-"
"I can't help if your thoughts are loud, Erik!"
"Right..."
Erik and Charles sat in the same spot, simply staring into each other's eyes for an unreasonable amount of time.
"Would you like to go back to the fountain?" Charles propositioned with a tint of uneasiness.
"S-Sure, Charles" Erik babbled.  Charles' own name falling off of Erik's lips hit him like a freight train.
Fuck, I wish I could hear that more... "Need a hand, Schatz?" Charles looked up to see Erik standing above him, hand outstretched.  Charles grasped Erik's hand and found that Erik pulled him up much harder than Charles pulled Erik down. This resulted in both men's faces being much closer than platonic allowed.  Erik quickly turned to the side, a very subtle blush dusting his cheeks.  For a split second, Charles could feel Erik's breath on his lips, Erik's slight stubble scraping against his chin, Erik's cologne filling his nostrils. Charles was going to ride this high for months.
"C'mon, let's go" Erik spoke with a hint of nervousness. Charles, still spaced out and on cloud nine, mindlessly followed Erik to the fountain.
***
"And then he sees door..." Charles was sitting on the fountain next to Erik, listening to him go on a passionate tangent about the book he had been reading.  Listening is a bit generous though, rather, Erik's words were hitting Charles like water across a creek floor.  "And then-"
"Erik?" Charles asked, creating an abrupt end to Erik's sentence.
"Charles?" he mimicked.
"What do you think about my eyes?"
"What?" Erik panicked internally.
"You keep thinking about them."
"I-" Erik took a moment to compose himself, trying to calculate the weight of his words.
"Your eyes are...beautiful" Vorefreud his mind was screaming.
"What does that mean Erik? 'vorefreud'?" Erik's cheeks reddened.
"Uhm...it uh, it means..." Erik closed his eyes, and took a deep breath, his eyes now meeting Charles'.
"Vorefreud pretty much means the pleasure of waiting for something pleasurable."
"And why do my eyes bring that word to mind?" Charles said with a grin that he simply couldn't hide. Erik was silent, his eyes never leaving Charles'.  Erik slowly lurched closer to Charles, his left hand coming up to Charles clean-shaven jawline and his right coming to rest atop Charles' hand on the smooth stone of the fountain.
And just like that, Erik was kissing Charles and Charles was kissing Erik. Both men felt this heavy weight suddenly lift off of their shoulders.  The pining, the sexual tension, the unspoken feelings, all of that was paying off.  Erik noted that Charles' lips were unreasonably soft, and Charles found that Erik's lips were slightly chapped.  The kiss was not ravenous, rather a soft, passionate, admission of love.  Charles brought his hands up to Erik's sides, his thumbs slowly moving up and down against Erik's sweater.  Erik pulled away, but not before hitting Charles' bottom lip and dragging his teeth across it.  At this, Charles let out a sharp gasp, his eyes pointedly meeting Charles.
Erik looked passionately exasperated, eyes boring into Charles.  Charles brought one of his hands up to touch his lips, rubbing across the part Erik had just bit.  Erik smiled at this, the widest smile Charles has ever seen from him. A slight chuckle escaped his lips. The urge to, once again, kiss Erik washed over Charles, who decided to listen to it.  He lunged forward, one hand clasped itself against the underside of Erik's chin and the other flew to the back of Erik's head, roughly gripping his hair.
Erik cursed against Charles' mouth and kissed back, this time ravenously. Erik's hands found Charles' back, his arms looping underneath Charles'.  Erik nibbled on Charles' bottom lip, this time, making him groan.  Erik took this as an opening and gracefully slid his tongue into Charles' mouth.  This kiss was no longer an admission of their feelings, but now a declaration, an announcement.  Charles now pulled away, his forehead resting against Eriks'.
"Erik," Charles softly spoke.
"Charles," Erik said with an audible smile.
"I'm glad you think so loudly."
"Me too."

Chapter 2: A different perspective
Words: 2317
Tumblr media
"Alright settle down. Class is starting." A pair of sleepy eyes looked to to the class in front of him. A deep sigh escaped his lips as he continued.
"As a reminder, mid next week you have a quiz in both English and Hero History." The class groaned. Murmurs were heard throughout the class.
"Aww man I forgot."
"I'm gonna fail."
"Psst, Iida, can we study after school today? I'll ask-"
"Quiet." Aizawa looked to class 1A with red a eyes and floating hair. Instantly the the class quieted down. Aizawa sighed again.
"If you don't pass your Hero History test you won't be allowed to go to the Hero History Museum that you'll be going to here in a couple weeks." Aizawa bent down to the floor and pulled up his yellow sleeping bag cocooning himself. "That's it for announcements for today. I'm going to take a nap till your first class starts so don't be too loud." With that he laid down on the floor and took his nap like he does about every morning.
Kirishima let gravity take his head to his desk. A loud thunk came in the process. He groaned. He had a quiz in both classes he struggled with the most. If only he had someone to stu-
The boys head shot up and looked across the classroom. His eyes locked on his grumpy ash blonde friend, who had his usual scowl on his face as looked to the front of the class.
Bingo!
Kirishima quickly stood up and walked over to the scowling blonde. Sitting in the now vacant seat in front of him, Kirishima turned to look at Bakugou. Barely opening his mouth, Bakugou interrupted him.
"What ever it is, no. So buzz off." Bakugou interjected with his usual grump expression. Kirishima's lip jutted out and his eyebrows scrunched together.
"Aw come on man!  You didn't even know what I was going to say!" Kirishima said with a pleading look hoping his friend will hear him out. The ash blonde looked at him with a slightly annoyed look. Knowing Kirishima, he wasn't going to give up till hopefully Bakugou gave in.
Bakugou let out a small grumble. "What do you want?" He asked obviously still annoyed. Relieved, a hopeful smile spread on Kirishima's face.
"I want you to help me study."
"No." Bakugou deadpanned. The red heads face dropped.
"Please?" Kirishima whined.
Bakugou raised an eyebrow. "What makes you think I want to help you weird hair?"
"Please Bakugou? You helped me with midterms last time and it really helped." Kirishima pleaded. "And plus, your like the smartest person I know." He added hoping it would help convince him. It did. It got into his head, causing a cocky smirk to replace his annoyed one. Leaning back he put his hands behind his head.
"Darn right I am."
"Does that mean you'll help me study?" Kirishima asked excitedly. A glint of hope still in his eyes. Bakugou face reverted back to it's original state.
"Meet me at the front gate when's schools over. We'll go to the same place as last time."
Kirishima's eyes sparkled. "Thank you so much Bakubro!"
~Time-skip~
Stepping out to the chill air, Kirishima let out a content sigh. Fall had to to be his favorite season. Not because of the colors, or cool temperature, but because of the few memories he could remember. Before moving, him and Y/n would bury one another in leaf piles and rescue each other.
"I'll help you Ejirou!" Y/n said with a giggle as she ran towards the large pile of leaves in the yard.
"Ahhh! Help! The leaf villain got me!" Kirishima's faked cried for help as he 'struggled' against the leaves that covered his body. The sound of feet hitting the ground got closer and louder as the small h/c came closer. Letting out a battle cry, she jumped in the pile.
"Aaaaghhh! Let go of my cousin you mean villain!" Y/n struggled through the leaves as she made her way to Ejirou. Pushing off the leaves, she grabbed the boy's wrist and began he pull him to safety. Both fell to the ground once away from the so-called villain.
Looking at each other from on the ground, they both got into a fit of giggles. Crawling over to Y/n, Kirishima plopped on top of her to give her a hug. This only caused the giggles to grow.
As their giggles died down, Kirishima spoke up. "We are going to be the best hero's ever!" His head laid on Y/n's  belly and arms wrapped around her sides as he gave her a small squeeze. Y/n gave him a squeeze in return, tightening the hug.
" Yeah we are!"
Kirishima smiled softly at the memory. He looked up to the sky and let out a chuckle.
"Heck yeah we are." Putting his hand in his pocket he pulled out his phone and unlocked it.
I wonder what she's doing right know. We do end school about the same time.
Pulling up the his texting, he tapped on his cousins name, opening their conversations. Typing on the small keyboard of his phone, he typed the usual when ever he wanted to talk.
Favorite Cousin❤️🪨:
Hiiiii
As he pushed the send button, a gruff voice came from behind him.
"Oi, weird hair lets go!" Bakugou quickly stomped ahead of Kirishima. Phone still in hand, he quickly caught up with Bakugou. Once he caught up and was now walking beside the blonde, he felt his hand vibrate. His head snapped to look at his phone, as his arm snapped up to rase the mobile device.
Quirkless wonder:
Hiiiiii👋
His face lit up once again. Bringing his other hand to his phone he typed away at the keypad. Kirishima did his best to text Y/n everyday ever since he got her number. Let's just say if Y/n never moved, the two would be impossible to separate. From video calls to text messages, they kept in contact the best they could when ever they could.
Favorite Cousin❤️🪨:
Whatcha doin?
After pressing send, three little dots in a bubble showed up on screen, indicating that Y/n saw the text and was now responding. Ejirou had a skip in his step as walked. Texting his cousin always brightened his day. It's sometimes got him a little too distracted and caught up in his own little world. Every now and then he would end up running into furniture, walls, or sometimes almost walking into busy streets.
Like now for instance.
But as always he never made one foot on the road. A hand grabbed his the hood of his jacket and pulled him back, slightly chocking him in the process.
"Hrrk!"
"Watch were you're going you moron!" Bakugou yelled as he yanked Kirishima's hood. Kirishima fell on the ground landing in his bum. Landing, he fell to his back from the momentum of falling and being pulled. Instinctively, Krishima brought his empty hand to his throat and rubbed it. Turing his head up and to the side, he looked at the boy next to him.
"Ow man, that hurt. You could've-" before he was able to finish, the fiery blonde interrupted him.
"If you nose wasn't glued to your stupid phone and didn't almost nearly walked into traffic, it wouldn't have hurt!" Bakugou yelled once again down at the red head on the ground.  The veins on his forehead popped and steam was practically fuming from his ears.
It drove him crazy when people didn't pay attention to their surroundings. It wasn't even that hard. You had two eyes, you might as well use them. I mean what else are they for.
Kirishima let out a nervous chuckle. He stood up and dusted himself off. Looking over to the blonde, Kirishima rubbed the back of his neck and let out a meek thank you.
"Thanks man."
Bakugou let out a low grumble. "Yeah well don't expect me to do it again."
That's was a lie.
He would. As much as he hated to admit it, he cares about red head. He cares about the rest of his class as well. He pride and ego get to much in the way that he would never admit it. He's not completely heartless. He's still human after all.
Standing at the cross walk of where he almost met his demise if it weren't for his friend, the red head reopened his phone. During the whole fiasco, Y/n responded back.
                                                                                                 Quirkless Wonder:
 Walking home with Kenji
Kirishima's facial features softened to a smile. He loved knowing that Y/n had someone there for her in person since he couldn't. He wishes that he could be there with her every step of the way like how they promised.
Favorite Cousin❤️🪨:
Ooo romantic
Feeling some bump his shoulder, Kirishima looked up. Bakugou walked past him to walk across the street.
"Let's go." huffed the blonde. Catching up to him, he felt a familiar buzz in his hand. Just as he crossed the street, he looked down to
Quirkless Wonder:
How's this?
[1 attachment]
He snorted. This earned an upturned eyebrow and a confused look from Bakugou.
"What are you laughing at?"
Kirishima slightly turned his head towards his friend with a small laugh. "My cousin sent me a goofy picture of her and her boyfriend." Turing the phone to give Bakugou a look, he smiled. "See."
"They look like idiots." Bakugou deadpanned as he kept walking. Kirishima sweat dropped.
"Harsh much?"
Bakugou just grunted in reply. Turing back to his phone, he gave a sarcastic reply.
Favorite Cousin❤️🪨:
Ahh yes, very romantic👍
Quirkless wonder:
What are you doing?🤔
Kirishima gave a side glance to his friend and contemplated on sending a picture back. But a quick scenario ran through his head. A drop of sweat ran down the side of his face.
‘Yeah, I really don't feel like dying today.’
Favorite Cousin❤️🪨:
Going to do some studying with Bakubro
Quirkless wonder:
Didn't he hit you on the head with a newspaper last time???
Kirishima let out a nervous chuckle. Taking his empty hand he rubbed the top of his head and gave a side glance to his friend. He sweat dropped. He just about forgot that.
Favorite Cousin❤️🪨:
Yeah
Even though he wasn't there, he could vividly visualize her facepalming in his head.
Quirkless Wonder:
Then.....why are are you studying with him????
Favorite Cousin❤️🪨:
It help surprisingly helped
Ejirou let out a short chuckle. Bakugou wasn't the brightest person on the planet or most calm, but he was his friend. Since the beginning of the school year, Kirishima has done his best to befriend the aggressive boy the best he can. He doesn't know why he wanted to be friends with him, he just did. As their relationship has slowly grown, Kirishima doesn't find him all that bad as people think.
Favorite Cousin❤️🪨:
Plus, the rest of the squad aren't much for studying and he ranked 3rd in midterms. So I don't have very many options.
"Oi, come on." Bakugou’s gruff voice brought the red head out his texting spree. “We’re here.”
Bakugou opened the door to the small cafe they stood in front of and walked in. Before Kirishima could follow him in, the door closed in his face. An annoyed look painted over his smile.
“Thanks man.” He grumbled quietly. Grabbing the handle, he opened the door. Barely taking a step in a wave of countless smells flooded his nose. Fresh brewed coffee, fluffy sweet pastries, and dozens of flavors of tea hit him all at once like a truck. The smell was calming and peaceful. He took a deep breath through his nose and let a breath out with a sigh. Yeah, it smell amazing.
Breaking his trance, he scanned the tables for spiky ash blonde hair. At the other end of the building, he saw his friend take out his books and paper from his bad with his usual scowl. Kirishima maneuvered through the maze of tables and people walking to their seats.
‘Dang it’s busy today’
Upon arriving at the booth Bakugou was sitting at, he felt another familiar buzz from his phone. Setting his bag on the seat, he sat down and reopened his phone for the millionth time today.
Quirkless wonder:
Well then, I wish you the best of luck with your study session with the grumpy explosive boy
Don't  die
He chuckled at the response. Looking at the boy in front of him, he told him what Y/n called him.
“My cousin called you a grumpy explosive boy.” He told him with a snicker. A vein popped on Bakugou’s forehead. Kirishima avoided his eye contact and start to type back a response.
“The heck?! I ain’t explosive!” Bakugou argued.
Kirishima let out another snicker. “I mean yeah you kinda are. Both with your quirk and your atti- uh, personality.”
Bakugou just grumbled and crossed his arms as he slouched in his seat.
Favorite cousin ❤️🪨:
I won't lol
We just got to where we're going to study so I'll talk to you later
Love u
Three dots in a bubble piped up.
Quirkless wonder:
Love you too
A faint smile spread to Kirishima’s face. He missed her. Some days he wish he had a quirk that would allow him to teleport to her. But he didn’t. He was stuck with calling and texting. He didn’t mind as long as he got to keep in touch. His thoughts were interrupted with snaking against his head.
“Quit smiling like an idiot and let’s get this over with already.”
Looking up, he saw Bakugou with a packet of papers rolled in his hand. He face scrunched with a scowl. Kirishima groaned and rubbed the top of his head.
‘And so it begins’

"[Y/N]! How are you?," May smiled brightly that night, opening her door for the young girl on her doorstep.
May absolutely loved it when Peter's girlfriend came by to visit. Her smile was always so bright it could light up a room. She was the only thing that was keeping Peter sane. She was sweet and loyal and May could tell by how Peter acted around her that [Y/N] was the highlight of his days.
Which was why the unexpected image at the door bothered her. "[Y/N], dear, what's wrong?"
[Y/N] was wiping away tears, holding herself and struggling to keep a fake smile on her face. "N-nothing... g-good eve-ning, ma'am," she whispered, walking into the living room. "Is Peter h-here?"
May's eyes filled with concern. "On patrol."
"Oh..." [Y/N] paused momentarily before finding herself on the couch. She narrowed her eyes as more tears fell.
Peter's aunt tilted her head with sympathy. "Do you want me to fix you anything?," she asked, deciding it better to not approach the problem directly. "I was just about to make dinner."
[Y/N] nodded. "That'd be nice. I could help you.. if you want." She wiped her eyes.
"That's alright, hon," she said, making her way into the kitchen. "You just sit there and relax." She smiled, opening the pantry. "And wipe those tears, they'll do you no good."
May looked around the cabinet. "How does mac & cheese with ham sound, [Y/N]?"
"Great!," [Y/N] yelled back. It sounded as if she was seconds away from crying. May tried to ignore it. 'I swear if that clueless boy hurt her...'
She looked through the fridge to find more ingredients.
As she took things out, she racked her mind for anything she could be forgetting. [Y/N]'s sniffles were getting louder by the minute. 'Oh, that poor girl.'
What could have happened? Peter couldn't've broken up with her. He loved her. That much May was certain.
But there she sat, slouching over and nearly trembling.
Maybe the young girl was just at the Parker home for comfort from her boyfriend. A failed test having shook up her spirit or so.
"[Y/N], can you come over here?," May asked. I can't find the cheese."
"Y-yes ma'am!," she yelled back, taking a few seconds to compose herself.
Right as [Y/N]'s footsteps became closer, Aunt May yelled, "Oh, sorry! That's alright, I've found it!"
She closed the door to see [Y/N] right next to her, a small, polite smile on her tear-stained face. Her eyes were completely sunken.
May lifted her head, opening her mouth to speak, but before she could, her eyes fell on the calendar in front of her.
There were big underlined red letters in marker on the date.
*[Y/N]'S B-DAY!!! DON'T FORGET!!!!*
May gasped and stared at it for a while as she heard [Y/N] walking away to sit back on the couch. 'Peter forgot [Y/N]'s birthday.'
No wonder she looked so distraught. Anybody would be when someone close to them forgot something so important to them.
May went back into the living room. She sat on the couch beside [Y/N] and immediately reached for her. "Come here, hon. I've got you.."
[Y/N] looked down at her feet, as she felt fresh tears building up, and shook her head. She hated crying in front of May, especially when her nephew was the cause of it.
But the second May pulled her in for a hug, [Y/N] let go. She cried. Wept. "H-he forg-got-"
"I know, [Y/N]. I know," May mumbled. "He'd forget his own head if it weren't attached..." She tried to make her feel better, but there's only so much she could say.
Peter needed to come home.
"I-I kn-know he has responsi-b-bilities.. and I get that, and he tries and h-he does really good, but.. it still hurts," [Y/N] whimpered. "The little things, y'know?"
"Yeah," May whispered. "I know, kiddo..."
When May finally let go, [Y/N] cried a bit more. It was evident that this probably wasn't the first time Peter had forgotten something important. Ooh, the things May would say to him when he got home.
Which was 2 hours from then.
"I think it's about time for me to go home, Miss. Parker," [Y/N] said with a lopsided smile. "Thank you for the meal by the way."
"You're welcome, sweetie," May replied. "And hey, don't yell at him too much. My nephew is smart as a lick, but also an idiot at times."
"Sure thing," [Y/N] laughed. Lies. She wasn't gonna let Peter forget this.
"By the way, did you have a party or something?"
"Haha no," [Y/N] giggled. "Birthday parties are lame."
She walked to the door. As she turned the knob, both she and May heard a voice coming from upstairs.
"Aunt May, I'm home!"
They looked up, then to each other.
Peter energetically walked down the stairs, still with his suit on, to see his aunt and his girlfriend staring at him. "Oh my gosh, hey [Y/N]!" He sped over the give her a quick kiss on the cheek. He looked down with a smile. "New dress? What's the occasion?"
May rolled her eyes. [Y/N] furrowed her eyebrows. "So...you really did forget?," she asked, her eyes becoming glossy again. "You weren't too busy, you actually forgot?"
May looked over at [Y/N]. It was clear that she was in denial. She'd been telling herself that he was too busy. She been hoping that that's what it was.
Peter narrowed his eyes, a clueless smile still on his face. "Forgot what? The only thing I had set for today was patrol- which was incredibly boring by the way!" He gave an over-exaggerated yawn. "It's like all the criminals forgot to come out tonight! -Which I guess is pretty good once you think about it, but still!," he joked.
Well, that was even more of a slap in the face for [Y/N].
Not only had he completely forgotten her birthday. On top of that, he spent the entire afternoon probably sitting on the edge of a building. Doing absolutely nothing productive.
There was no city in danger. No drug run that needed busting. Not even a snot-nosed kid that fell off his bike.
It was just [Y/N] and her forgotten birthday.
"Jesus, Peter," May sighed. "Go check the calendar."
Peter, completely confused, walked into the kitchen.
Why were they acting so weird? What had he forgotten?
Walking further into the kitchen, his eyes fell on the calendar. He sped over to it. His jaw dropped at the sight.
*[Y/N]'S B-DAY!!! DON'T FORGET!!!!*
*DON'T FORGET*
*DON'T*
'Oh crap, I forgot!'
And just like that, Peter felt the weight of the world crash onto his shoulders. He slowly trudged back into the room after cursing himself out twelve thousand times.
"S-so, um.." He suddenly couldn't look anyone in the eye anymore. "May can w-we have the room for a quick second?"
Aunt May chuckled. "Oh, Peter. I think you're going to be in for a long second." She patted his shoulder. "You two go up to his room for this."
The walk to Peter's room was short and quiet. Neither teen looked at the other. The only sound was of their footsteps and [Y/N]'s quiet sniffling.
When they got there, Peter stood by his bed and [Y/N] stood my the door after closing it shut.
"So..um.... happy birthday?"
[Y/N] rolled her eyes. "Thanks," she said bitterly.
"Did you have a party?," he mumbled.
"No," she barely whispered. "Parties are lame..."
They stared in silence.
"I should probably go. My mom will call me if I'm not home in a few..."
"I really am sorry [Y/N-"
"-I let you lie to me," she cut him off sharply, causing him to finally look her in the eyes. "Over and over again I continue to let you lie to me." She pinched the bridge of her nose before she began to pace the room.
"-When you say you're with Ned but I just know you're actually doing some crap with Stark or something. When you need to get home early because May is worried when really you're actually just being obsessive again with your patrol- as if New York can't possibly survive without Spiderman for two seconds even though it has for hundreds of years!"
Peter watched as tears flowed freely down the sides of her face.
"-But the thing is, I don't even care when you lie!," she laughed angrily. "No harm no foul, right?!-No, the problem is...," she trailed off before pointing to herself and looking right into his eyes.
"-I get to dates on time...I find out from Aunt May when you might finally be getting home so that I can facetime you and make sure you're not stressed before you go to bed every night...I try to do everything for you."
Peter looked to the ground.
"- And the one time!," she sobbed out, pointing to him. "...the one time that I need you to be there you aren't, Peter." She stared off.
Peter finally found his voice. "I'm so sorry, [Y/N].."
"God, you're just so-!" She froze, pressing her lips together. "O-oh gosh..."
Peter watched with concern as she stopped telling and finally broke down completely. His heart broke as he led her to sit on his bed.
Immediately, as if snapping out of some sort of trance, she put up a hand and looked away, ashamed. "N-no, I'm sorry. T-that was just me ranting," she rushed out her words. "I-I know you have responsibilities a-and stuff and it's selfish for me to- You don't have to do anything, okay?!," she cried, looking away from him.
At that, Peter began to cry too. "No, [Y/N]. I'm the selfish one, alright? A-and I'll do whatever I can to fix it.."
"You can't, Peter."
"I'll try-"
"You.. can't, Pete!," she yelled, sitting on his bed, bringing him with her. "Because you already do!- You make sure I get to classes on time. You find ways to fit me in your crazy schedule from time to time..You let me know you love me.. t-that's all I need... You do everything that you can to make sure you're there with me.. I'm even amazed sometimes..."
She stared at the ground for a while before speaking again. "During the b-blip.. I was the only one in my family that didn't go..."
Peter gasped. He'd known she didn't blip, but he hadn't known that before.
"During that time, I aged... I learned... my life kept going on," she said quietly, almost sounding guilty. ".. while nobody I loved could see it." She put her head in her hands, shaking against Peter's side as he pulled her close. "And I was miserable..." Hiccups disturbed her talking. She wiped away her tears pitifully.
"-This was my first birthday after the blip... everyone I loved before, and now you... finally had an actual chance to see it with me." She looked up at him. "So when y-you didn't remember. I-I freaked...I-I'm sorry."
The two sat in silence for several minutes. Just crying. Staring.
And after a while, slowly, smiling.
"I made a big fool of myself, didn't I?," she giggled, finally actually calming down from the night she had.
"No," Peter replied, with an intense stare, standing up. "[Y/N], you know you have absolutely nothing to feel sorry for, right?," he smiled. "I'll work on me. But just know that I love you, okay?"
She smiled back, getting closer. "I do, Pete." She sat up, reaching for his neck. "Now come down here and gimme a big kiss..."
"Glad to see you two have made up, with the door closed." Aunt May stood at the -now open- door with her eyebrow raised.
The two teens quickly broke away. "Heh, sorry Aunt May," Peter chuckled.
"I'll allow it this time," she laughed. "Just don't forget her birthday again, you hear me Peter? Or next time, you deal with me."
"Loud and clear," he playfully saluted, hoping that May would just leave already. "Now... can you just, please?," he asked, politely gesturing for her to leave.
"Fine," she said. "Just don't go having any babies you two."
"Yes ma'am," [Y/N] smiled before crashing her lips into Peter's the second the door shut.
