Ya know what, shoutout to bisexual sapphics that use she/they who were raised as women. This specific demographic of people gets picked on so much within queer spaces, because they’re seen skirting around the edges of both kinds of queerness.
Bi sapphics are seen as toeing the line of heterosexuality, and genderqueer people raised as women who use she/they are seen as toeing the line of of being cisgendered / gender-conforming.
But ya know, these types of people have such interesting experiences. All about exploring and labeling the gray areas of sexuality and gender, about seeing one’s identity as a whole instead of a fraction, and learning to cope with imposter syndrome. About invisibility, about hostility from both sides of the fence. They have so many interesting things to say, and lessons to learn from their life experiences, if folks would take a moment to listen.
So, yeah. She/they bi sapphics, you keep being you. You’re an invaluable part of the queer community, and I appreciate you.

hey! hey, you! yes! you! being les4les is fine! be les4les! go for it! i totally get it, i'm bi4bi! it's nice having partners that understand your experiences! lesbians and bisexuals can and do have different experiences! and it can be frustrating when people say you're biphobic for being les4les! but there's a difference between "i'm les4les bc i want to only be with people that understand almost all of my experiences and/or i want to avoid any opportunity for someone to see me as my agab" and "i'm les4les bc bi women will always cheat with men and aren't really into women and are only into trans women bc they think they're really just men" like, there's a HUGE difference there. the first one is so absolutely perfectly fine! the second one is biphobic! also, for people to say every and/or most bi people dating trans people see them as their agab not only is that a biphobic thing to say, but you're actively ignoring how many trans and enby people are somewhere on the bi spectrum! and yes, bisexuals and lesbians have different experiences, but guess what? that doesn't just mean bisexuals don't understand lesbian experiences firsthand, it means lesbians don't understand bisexual experiences first hand either!

i want to say that while important to talk about how underrepresented lesbians/wlw are in lgbt+ media, particularly compared to mlm, it should be noted that mlm rep is still often lackluster too. mlm rep usually lacks men of color, trans men, disabled men, etc. and storylines that aren’t the basic “coming out/coming to terms with being gay/high school drama” stuff
lgbt+ media in general is the vast majority of the time lackluster and i am SO sick of it. we deserve better.
