MY GUIDE TO A BREAKUP

BEFORE YOU READ ANYTHING: Here are things I wish I could have told myself after we broke up.

you’re healing a heart you didn’t break, treat it with kindness.

there was a you before them and there will be a you after them.

you don’t regret the time by yourself. you won’t realize until later how much you didn’t know about yourself.

it’s gonna suck for a while. like a long time. allow the pain and tears but don’t get comfortable with it.

how you love yourself teaches others how to love you.

don’t change how you love because he didn’t want it. don’t second guess or overthink the mistakes. they happened as a lesson and for a reason.

your friends will heal you. cherish your time with them.

the end of something can be the beginning of something amazing.

you don’t need him to make you feel whole.

letting go doesn’t mean forgetting. you can be at peace with yourself by accepting and forgiving. still hold the memories. you loved your time with him.

don’t destroy yourself over him. there will be someone who sees your beauty and will be thankful he walked away.

Reread this list whenever you get slightly upset over him. I promise it helps!

Get rid of everything about him. Give the clothes back and put everything in a bin or donate it or burn it haha. Buy a notebook im begging you. Dont reach out. You will regret it when you text him later because I PROMISE YOU will get over him. If you haven’t blocked or unfollowed eachother and are staying civil, hide their stories and posts so dont see it. When you open your phone you wont be reminded then. If you don’t delete the pictures hide them in a album. Get drunk with your friends. Go out and do things. Make a checklist for everyday so you dont mope. Get your shit together you’re better than that. You can talk to new guys. But don't get attached. Enjoy your time with people and have a nightstand or two for fun. But you are finding yourself right now. Not someone new. Not someone to replace what you had, a rebound. If you do get into a rebound just know after it you will still be upset. You were just hiding your feelings for personal gain. Refer back to things I wish I told myself. YOU WONT REGRET THE TIME BY YOURSELF. Start a new hobby. Here's some things I took up: bullet jorunaling, traveling, working out (i trained for a half marathon), starting listening to podcasts about actual important things and of course a little call her daddy or true crime. Not the point though. Some good podcasts to try if you dont know where to start is the podcast how to become “that girl”. Do something new for yourself. A job? If you dont have one. Or maybe that’s getting a piercing, cutting your hair, buying new makeup, or trying out a new style, it doesnt matter. Do something for you. You are finding yourself and you are working on you. It’s ok to be sad and you are going to be. But don’t let it consume you. Again, write out your feelings. Write him letters of what you would say. But don’t give it to them. Pretend it’s a text you would send, whatever you need. Remember, they broke up with you. They don't want you anymore! It’s a hard truth but it’s real. Let that reality set in. I promise it does get better. When I say I was convinced, I couldn’t be ok without him, I was wrong. I’m genuinely the happiest I’ve ever been after doing these things. You will be ok. The cliche, give it time. Life isn’t over, it’s just beginning. His fucking loss.

Prevedo due settimane di angoscioso dubbio... sto per finire il mio bullet journal, devo scegliere il prossimo e ho letteralmente TROPPA SCELTA! Quale uso successivamente? Quello con tante pagine ma un poì sottili, a rischio di ghosting con inchiostri troppo pesanti? ppure quello verdone che però non si apre bene, ma ha le pagine iniziali con i mesi già pronti da riempire, così non impazzisco a fare diagrammi per tutta una settimana per farci stare tutto? Quello azzurro con poche pagine ma spesse come carta da acquerello, così posso sbizzarrirmi a colorare, ma che rischio di finire troppo presto? Quello con la copertina rosa shocking perché, voglio dire, chi non vorrebbe scrivere in una roba così SGARGIANTE? Ragazzi, è bellerrimo! Oppure quello nero (non in foto, non ci stava) identico a quello che ho attualmente in corso, per non uscire dalla mia comfort zone, ma spaventosamente noioso?

NON LO SO! SONO IN CRISI! CI METTERO' EONI A DECIDERE! Perché colleziono diari, accidenti a me? Non posso averne solo uno e comprare il successivo senza tanti pensieri, come le persone normali?

Today focusing was a struggle. I don't know why my mind keeps jumping from one thought to another. I very much look forward to take a few days off studying before my new class starts in November. I do have a lot to get done, but I will prioritize at least two or three days of no work at all to recharge.
