can I request jealous Wednesday x fem reader? Wednesday gets jealous of Xavier and the reader so she's more passive aggressive than usual and has the urge to pull pranks on Xavier. But when Wednesday sees reader and Xavier painting the reader chases after her
Tumblr media
Summary: Wednesday is reluctant to accept that she’s jealous of your friendship with Xavier until it all comes ahead.
A/n: Also due to the fact of how fucking long I made this fic, I had to relegate pranks (plural) to a singular prank. I rambled a little bit ngl.
Wednesday hated the gut feeling she’d get whenever she saw you and Xavier within extreme close proximity of one another; As though you were trying to fuse into one being with how pressed against one another you were. It felt like she had a stone stuck in her stomach that refused to dissolve and was starting to cause external as well as internal issues the longer it went unresolved. Normally Wednesday viewed herself above expressing emotions should they not provide beneficial results to her in the long run for the remainder of her stay at Nevermore, or everyday life in general.
However it seemed to Wednesday that you were the peculiar exception to this golden rule she had lived by since the passing of her pet scorpion. She felt fluttery in her chest whenever you laughed, her clothed skin burned with the remnants of your accidental touches and she felt most anticipating when she made plans with you after classes. You’ve managed to brought fourth emotions Wednesday long thought she had killed in order of bettering herself whether you were aware of your effect or not.
She hated it, she hated not being in control of her emotions and by that logic, Wednesday should hate you for being the reason for her lack of self control but she didn’t. Instead she directed all her hatred towards Xavier to the point that castration was a considered punishment but knowing how Nevermore operates; Wednesday knew that short of thing would’ve be allowed to fly without repercussions. ‘A pity really,’ she thought to herself as she maintained eye contact with the back of Xavier’s head as he playfully nudged you with his shoulder, ‘a shame even.’
Enid wished she could see the inner workings of Wednesday’s head but with how brutally she was stabbing the lunch table with her blunt knife, she quickly changed her mind in fear of that knife being directed at her next. “Wednesday, remember what we talked about when we get urge to stab something.” Enid spoke hesitantly as she tried to safely remove the knife away from Wednesday’s hand. When it was brought down harder then the previous times, blade lodged deeply within the table that once Wednesday lets go of the handle, the knife however remained standing straight up. Her eyes never departing from you nor Xavier as they blazed with silent fury. “Keep stabbing until it stops moving.” She replied blankly before standing up.
“Hey! Wednesday! Where are you going-“ Enid tried calling out to her friend when her words got caught up in her throat when her eyes followed the direction she was heading; You and Xavier. “Oh no.” Enid whispered as she rushed after Wednesday in hope of preventing someone’s (read: Xavier’s) death. “I do not want to be caught in the midst of a murder today, I just got these clothes recently and blood would not go well with them.” She rambled under her breath as nervousness got the better of her when she finally managed to catch up with Wednesday who was looking straight at you.
“Y/n.”
“Oh shit.” you almost jumped out of your chair at the sudden voice beside you had Xavier not caught you by the shoulders to stabilise you. Giving the boy your thanks you looked to your side of the table to see Wednesday and Enid standing there. “Hey Wednesday! Hey Enid, what’s up? Me and Xavier here were just-“ “I need you to come over to my-“ “our” Enid interrupted, flashing a smile when Wednesday looked at her with almost murderous intent before bringing her attention back to you. “Our dorm,” she shot enid a glare, “to look over some studies that were assigned to us last period.”
“We did?” You questioned as you, Xavier and Enid share a look of confusion as all four of you had last period together and to your recollection, there was no tasked assignment. So either you had shit memory or something else was at hand here that you were oblivious towards. Xavier shrugged his shoulders, “beats me and I tend to pay attention in my classes.” You shoved him by the shoulder as you laughed, “you fucking liar, no you don’t you always end up copying my notes or worse!” Xavier chuckled, extending his hand to pat your sympathetically on the shoulder.
“I make it up to you don’t I?” He asked innocently, making you scoff as you swat away his hand. before bringing his attention to Wednesday who by now has her jaw so tightly clenched behind a deadpan face that she swore she felt some teeth crack under the pressure she was putting them under. “Are you sure we got an assessment Wednesday? Me and y/n here have made plans to go beyond and explore the realms of possibilities of which through art later tonight.” Xavier iterated the last part in a tone he knew would get to you, in the end you couldn’t help but snort as you smacked his shoulder. “Stop talking like that, I’ll think I’ll piss myself.” You croaked through your laughter as you leant against Xavier for support.
“Too much information y/n,” Xavier grimaced but he sucked at keeping it up as his lips cracked into a bigger smile, “just too much information.” Whilst you both were distracted with your laughter, Enid could see that Wednesday was gesturing for something lurking under your table with her head and when she went to angled herself better to see what it was and to her surprise; Thing could be seen unlacing Xavier’s shoelaces before tying them back together again in a fashion that would have him take a personal greeting with the floor before scampering off back to where he came.
Now Enid never pegged Wednesday as the prankster type, considering the fact that she had told her time and time again that she was above such childish shenanigans. Yet here she was, having Thing pull pranks on her behalf all because she was jealous. “You’re right,” Wednesday uncharacteristically admitted, “must’ve got my dates incorrect, how foolish of me.” She then shrugs but before she leaves your table; Wednesday looked back over her shoulder, “Xavier.” She said. “Yeah?” He replied, albeit confused. “Watch your step.” Was all she said before walking away, leaving Enid to hastily bid you both goodbye as she rushed to catching up to her before mouthing something neither of you could decipher.
“What did she meant by that?” Xavier asked as he looked at you, watching the back of Wednesday’s head as she faded from view. “No idea but hearing that come from her? It’s probably not a good thing.” You admitted, sensing that something was off with Wednesday but you knew better then to openly confront a hostile animal. She wouldn’t budge an inch. So you decided that it would be best to let her work through whatever it was that she was going through in her own time. “Well that’s real reassuring.” Xavier said glumly before slinging his bag over his shoulder.
“We better get going before we’re late to herbology class.” He adds as he goes to stand up but as he attempts to move out from his seat; Xavier notices a little too late that his shoes were mysteriously tied together, causing him to trip over himself and fall flat on the floor with a yelp. “Oh my god, Xavier are you alright!” You exclaimed as you scrambled to help him up off of the floor, dusting him down of any dirt that might’ve lingered. “I understood what she meant by that now.” Xavier grimaced in pain. You both ended up being late for class by a couple of minutes due to Xavier stopping to unlace his shoes and tying them back up properly before practically sprinting across Nevermore towards your next lesson.
The next time Wednesday walked in on you and Xavier bonding, it wasn’t until nightfall that she came across the sound of laughter filling the air, growing louder and louder the closer she got to the abandoned shed Xavier had tricked out into an art studio. Her blood still boiled with how at ease Xavier seemed whenever he got physical with you and how you never seem to bask in his affection. She despised her Achilles heel which was you and the illogical thoughts you brought up within her head, causing her to loose rational train of thought and sleep as she now wandered the school grounds late at night in hopes for sleep to greet her. However Wednesday found herself stood outside the shed where she could hear yours and Xavier’s conversation loud and clear.
“You messy pup! Your getting paint on everything except the canvas!” Xavier exclaimed though it was in good nature considering how quick he was to laugh. “We’ll maybe if I had more to go on then the bullshit excuse of ‘painting with my heart.’ Then I wouldn’t be such a messy pup then would I?” You replied, reduced to a laughing fit of your own. It was obvious to Wednesday that you were both having fun, so much fun in fact that she believed that she was the last thing on your mind. You rarely visited her and Enid in their dorm anymore, too busy having Xavier occupying your time. Seemingly possessed by the betrayal she was feeling in that moment, Wednesday forcefully opened the door in time to see Xavier stand a breaths width away from you, holding your face in his hands as his thumb rubs away at some remnants of paint.
His gaze seemed a little too intense for Wednesday’s liking as she took into account of the way he looked at you that same exact way she caught herself looking at you; as though you’ve painted the night sky of which you hung the stars from. Your eyes darted to hers as they widened at the realisation of how this looked to other people but before you could open your mouth to say anything. Wednesday had already slammed the door shut behind her as she left. Xavier knew there was something between you and Wednesday and he wanted to help you in expressing your feelings in a way that didn’t suffocate Wednesday. However it seemed that she might’ve misunderstood this as him making a move on you which couldn’t be further from the truth. “Go after her.” Xavier said, stepping away from you.
“She won’t believe me-“ “well then try to make her believe you.” Xavier stopped you before you could admit defeat. “You like this girl don’t you?” He asked, “of course I do Xavier, I like her very, very much.” You admitted, feeling the tears of frustration well up in the corner of your eyes. Xavier smiled softly as he cross the room to open the door, “Then go get her, tiger.” He urges as he gestured towards the silhouette of Wednesday that was slowly fading away from view the further and further away she got. You smiled at Xander, “thank you.” You said to him before bolting out of the art studio and after Wednesday as fast as your legs could carry you.
“You got this!” You heard Xavier exclaim from behind which only pushed you even further forward as you darted past trees, bushes, the archery range until you could vaguely make out Wednesday making her way to the front of the building that lead up to her dorm in Ophelia Hall. “Wednesday!” You called, uncaring of who you woke up in the process, the only thing that mattered to you was setting things straight. “Wednesday wait, I need to talk to you!” You saw Wednesday stop at the doors and you almost felt like collapsing when you finally caught up to her, leaving heavily on the door as you struggled to filling your lungs with the sufficient amount of oxygen.
“What do you want.” Wednesday snapped. She hadn’t meant to stop but something within her told her that she’d be better off hearing you out. “I’m going to cut the bullshit and get to the point,” you said through gasps, coughing briefly before taking a deep breath, “I like you Wednesday Addams. I like you a lot, I’ve been meaning to find ways of telling you how I feel that wouldn’t overwhelm you or make you uncomfortable. So I’ve taken to asking Xavier for advice because he’s and artist and shit as you know.” Wednesday felt a familiar fluttering in her chest as you continued to explain yourself when all she really cared enough to hear was that you liked her and only did what you did as to not force her out of her comfort zone for you.
So instead of letting you continue your long winded explanation, Wednesday merely grabbed ahold of your shirt, pulling you into her lips as she gave you a chaste kiss before shoving you away slightly. Your wide eyed expression had a smile creep up on Wednesday’s face as she quickly composed herself. “I like you too,” she headed you silently cheer to yourself, “however you can start repaying me for sacrificing our time together by joining me on the astrology tower tomorrow night.” Your eyes widened and your smile stretched across your face. “Like a date, a date date?” Wednesday couldn’t help but scoff at your choice of words before replying, “yes, like a date date.”

Thoughts on DM3. Don’t hate me. 😂
DM3 was not a bad film, I have seen a lot worse and I even went to see it at the cinema a few times. I’d rate it a 6/7 out of ten.
The problem was with it, it felt outdated with an 80s obsessed villian. Don’t get me wrong, I think Bratt is a great idea and I get the concept of it but just maybe with his own film, not in DM.
Aswell, I felt they took a lot of things away from us that were just getting started.
- Agnes sold Fluffy the unicorn though in DM2 she would have screamed the house down if anything happened to him and he was such a big part of the merch. But no, gone, sold to some lil blonde.
- We didn’t see much of Grus freeze-ray nor his tank of a car. - not a big deal but these lil things make the film what it is.
-There was no Fred. - again like the point above. I would have also have liked to have seen Jillian, I thought she was a great and (annoying) addition to DM2.
-Gru didn’t really bother with the girls or interact with any of them, well a part from Agnes. He didn’t even put them to bed like he used to and just left Lucy to do it all. He didn’t really seem supportive of her with her trying to be a mum I thought. If that was my husband I would have kicked his arse lol!
- Margo got engaged to some weird kid and Gru was nowhere to be seen but in DM2 he was this overprotective dad that would have broke his nose or something lol! I know Lucy had it in hand but…..ya know. I wanted to see the overprotective dad mode.
- We didn’t see much of the house which we seen a lot of in DM1/2 and I thought that was such a shame. Why couldn’t Dru just come to Grus house or something lol
- I disliked how the writers wrote out Dr Nefario (we won’t mention the actors name and no one would of cared if someone else was voicing him) but what a lazy way to just freeze him in carbinite. Gru didn’t really seem that upset over it though the Dr had been like a dad to him. Like ?????
- Dru wasn’t bad, it was kinda nice seeing Gru have some male company as if he was down the pub with a mate but I also found it odd they had all of a sudden put on him the temptation to go back to villainy when in DM2 he had that temptation but he wasn’t interested in the slightest. He just wanted to be a father, get a job, get his girl and that was it. Every scene was perfect, the actors, writers etc put all there heart and soul into it and you couldn’t have put anymore into it really, even if you tried. Gru was really at his peak in DM2. Maybe I’ve got it wrong. Idkkkk.
- I didn’t mind the Minions and personally I never do, I think they just add to the film and I don’t find them annoying. I actually liked the prison scene, I thought that was a pretty good idea tbh.
It even felt like at times the animated characters didn’t want to even be doing the storyline in DM3. 😂
3 obviously made a lot of money because everyone was still hyped around DM2 but came out of the cinema or wherever they first watched it empty handed.
Yes it’s ok chucking in a scene here and there with a treehouse or an Agnes and Gru moment to put in some heart but it was almost forced. The writers said themselves they struggled and just wrote for themselves which I found really sad as there is so much you can do with this franchise I think.
I’m ngl, I am a bit nervous about DM4 as I think this will be its last chance to survive but the trailer looks amazing and I’m already won over by the baby Gru Jr. I wanted them to have a baby in DM3!!!!! Really DM4 should have been 3.
Should have rhey aged the girls up. Yes and no. Maybe a bit? Tbh personally, I don’t really care. It keeps there innocence but I would like to see Gru bonding with them again.
It wasn’t all bad though, I liked Lucy trying to be a mom and the animation has definitely stepped up a notch to the point that Gru is pale AF now and they all look a bit different. Aswell the actors, Carell, Kristin did a great job as always.
This is all my own opinion so don’t come at me 🤣.

Tumblr media
Showing up to the event surprisingly wasn't your top priority- nor did you see your presence there as being mandatory- however, your boss made it sound like you didn't have much of a choice. He was gathering everyone together to celebrate his recent purchase of some company; typical rich people behavior; throwing lavish parties for no real reason. In spite of your reluctance, you did end up going.
He said the attire was black tie formal, which seemed extravagant, but that was Francis for you; always going the extra mile simply because he could afford to. The party was held at some event hall, which would be packed by dinner time. A large crowd of people fills the space, loud chatter and the sound of champagne glasses clinking flooding your ears as you walk in. Shiny chandeliers hang from the tall ceilings, their light reflecting off the tile floor beneath your feet.
Your eyes scan the room, searching for your superior; it'd only be polite to greet him before anyone else. He managed to pick you out of the crowd, catching your gaze with a charming smile. You make your way over to him through the surrounding people, returning the grin he threw your way. His eyes run over your figure, taking in the way your dress hugged your curves and flowed down to the floor. You blush softly, noticing his not-so-subtle admiration.
His voice was cheery when he spoke, "Y/n! So nice of you to come by, I was hoping you would."
He grabs your arm gently, leaning in and pecking your cheek as a formal greeting. You do the same, but he holds you in place before you could back away.
"You look stunning." he whispers in your ear.
Your cheeks flush as you step back, throwing him a kind smile and quiet "thank you." He would compliment or praise you frequently- all innocent comments of course- but something about his tone was different this time. It sounded more, amorous. Though maybe that was just your brain choosing to hear it that way.
You've always been fond of him, more than you'd like to admit, and definitely more than what was allowed. What a shame he was happily married... Speaking of which, you hadn't seen his wife since arriving. Normally she'd be glued to his hip at an event such at this one, but she was nowhere to be found.
"Where's the Misses?" you ask boldly.
Perhaps it was rude of you to impose- you were just making conversation. Fitzgerald rolls his eyes, sipping on the champagne he held.
"The States. Allegedly, she had better things to do."
You knew his wife had stayed in America while he was out here in Japan. That realization set in finally; he wasn't even here permanently. He's been here for quite some time though- his wife coming to visit on rare occasions- you nearly forgot that one day you'd be working under someone new.
Francis shrugs after his statement, brushing off the reality of the situation like it didn't bother him. With a finger, he gestures for you to walk with him, setting his now empty glass on the tray a passing by caterer held. He had led you to empty corridor, stating it'd be easier to speak to you here.
"I'm very glad you came here today, y/n. Your presence is refreshing." he says, leaning against the wall beside you.
"Refreshing?" you tilt your head in question. "How do you mean?"
He chuckles, "I simply enjoy being around you."
His statement was vague, yet you knew it held a deeper meaning. The way his eyes looked to be fixation on you- such an intense stare gave you chills.
You respond to his subtle compliment with a smile. "Well I'd have to say the same about you, Sir."
For whatever reason, your heart was beating a little faster than usual. You hated how nervous you'd get around him; it was unnecessary. The two of you had never been alone this long before, perhaps that's why you were nervous.
"I appreciate that, y/n."
His eyes glaze over your body again, landing on your own when they come back up, that familiar award-winning smile plastered across his face.
"You really are gorgeous, y'know that?"
"T-thank you Sir. You look nice as well."
For the first time this evening, you fully take in his appearance. You notice the way his arms flex under his shirt, and how nicely the material censors his toned body. You admire the way the dim light of this hallway makes his eyes shine, and how the shadows that cast across his face make his cheekbones appear even more defined. God he was attractive. Looks worth more than a million dollars, if you were to describe him in his terms. Suddenly realizing you had been staring, you divert your attention, cheeks heating up out of embarrassment.
Fitzgerald smirks, proud of the obvious affect he has on you. He moves to stand in front of you, taking your chin between his index finger and thumb. Your heart speeds and you get goosebumps from having him touch you. He turns your head to face him, keeping his voice at a low volume.
"Your mind always seems to wander when you look at me. Tell me what's on your mind."
The glare that he gave you as he awaited your response was telling enough; He knew what was on your mind, he didn't have to hear you say it, but he wanted to. Maybe he needed to. He yearned for your admiration, for your acknowledgement. But why? Why was he so infatuated with you? All those stolen glances, the frequent compliments that always sounded innocent yet never were- it was all genuine. He's always been aware of you; how you'd admire him from afar like he were a trophy locked in it's showcase, how you would praise him for his work, how pretty you looked whenever your lips would curl into a grin.
Right now, he needed you to be aware of him. To give him that attention face-to-face, he wanted you to spell it out for him; how much you genuinely liked him. It'd boost his ego for sure, to hear that his subordinate was less-than-professionally fond of him. His eyes seemed to flicker with something, you couldn't put your finger on it.
Your words came out as a whispered stammer, "I-I think you know, S-Sir."
That smirk of his was almost sinister, and that look in his eyes had to have been desire. It couldn't be, he was so loyal... Wasn't he? Fitzgerald's face was inches from yours, the scent of his expensive cologne was so strong, it was nearly intoxicating. His gaze would fall to your lips a moment before coming back up to your eyes.
"I think I know too, but how about you confirm it for me?"
You didn't know what to do. It wouldn't be smart to make a move on him, but you've never wanted anything more. You knew you'd feel guilty for it, it was so wrong of you to do such a thing, but he was provoking you. Maybe he was testing you; there was no way he'd actually ask you to give in to him. You bite your lip in thought, finding yourself to be stuck between a rock and a hard place.
"It drives me crazy when you do that." he murmurs- the lust practically seeping from his mouth when he speaks.
You sigh, "Lord Francis... You know I can't..."
He huffs, hand moving to cup your cheek, his thumb caressing your skin.
"And yet who came to support me tonight? You must care for me more than she does... I think you deserve a little kiss for that, no?"
His words were making your mind run laps. What to do, you wonder. Desperately you wanted to feel his lips on yours, yet you couldn't bring yourself to close the gap. He must've been able to see the gears turning in your head, because without any further dialogue, he kissed you. And even though you shouldn't have, you kissed him back, tilting your head up ever so slightly to deepen it just a tad. Though it felt right, a part of you knew it was wrong.
In spite of all that, you couldn't stop. His other hand had gripped the slope of your waist, bringing your body closer to his when his tongue slips into your mouth. You whimper, hands placing themselves on his chest. He pulls away, quickly observing his surroundings, then drags you to the closest bathroom. Conveniently, it was a private bathroom- only being able to occupy one- which meant anything that happened from this point forward wouldn't be interrupted.
Fitzgerald locks the door, then brings his attention back to you; grabbing your hips and pushing you against the counter as his lips collide with yours again. You fiddle with his tie, loosening it before unbuttoning his shirt. He takes a step back, removing his blazer, then his tie, and finally his shirt. You didn't even have time to stare, he had trapped you in a kiss before you were able to speak.
You let your hands run across his now bare torso, fingertips touching the rigid indents of his abs, moving up and cupping his firm pecs. His lips move along your jawline, lower and lower, until he reaches the base of your neck. You gasp when you feel him nipping at your skin. He'd definitely end up leaving a mark, but with the way your dress was cut, nothing would cover the bruise. Your hands move to his head, fingers lacing through his blonde locks.
Open-mouthed kisses are left all over your exposed skin, his large hands rubbing up and down your sides. They move to your back, unzipping your dress then sliding the straps off your shoulders. The silky fabric falls down your body, pooling at your ankles. You step out of it, removing your heels as well, and make yourself comfortable atop the counter.
"My god, you're beautiful." he says in complete awe.
You smirk, reaching forward and grabbing him by the wrists, placing his hands on your waist and bringing his body between your legs, connecting your lips. He groans at your eagerness, dragging his hands to your thighs and giving them a squeeze. You were both so lost within each other, that the dishonorable manner of your actions didn't matter. His lips felt so good on yours, moving in perfect time while his tongue explored every inch of your mouth. The feeling of his large hands groping your body made your breathes hitch.
You mess with his belt buckle, undoing it then unzipping his slacks. Your hand brushes against his bulge when his pants fall to the floor. He moans, lips latching onto your neck and fingers inching their way up to your heat. It was ridiculous how badly you wanted him to touch you; body already squirming with anticipation.
"Francis please." you beg, bucking your hips a bit.
He speaks close to your skin, fingers now rubbing you through your panties. "Use your words princess."
"Touch me. Please~"
Fitzgerald dips his fingers into your panties, humming with satisfaction at how wet you already were. His long digits toy with your clit, circling it and making you whine. His lips wrap around one of your breasts, taking your hard nipple between his teeth. He sucks the plump of your chest, letting his fingers slide through your slick folds. Your head falls back, mouth agape as a soft moan escapes you.
His mouth alternates between your breasts, left hand holding your waist while the other plays between your legs. You arch your back, pushing yourself into his mouth as if you wanted him closer. He inserts two fingers into your need and you gasp, gripping his shoulders as thick fingers pump in and out of your cunt. He kisses up your chest, mouth moving back to the crook of your neck and bruising your skin again.
You let out a breathy moan from his fingers curling in your warmth. He groans into your neck, digits moving quicker just so you squirm beneath him. His head rises to your ear, his hot breath kissing your skin and giving you goosebumps.
"God I can't wait to feel you clenching like this around me. I bet you feel so good."
You tighten your grip on his shoulders, moaning softly. "Fuck me then. Please. I want it so bad."
He smiles, kissing your temple and removing his fingers. Fitzgerald backs away, pulling you off the counter and turning you to face the mirror. Your arms rest atop the counter, eyes fixating on his reflection. You watch as he tugs your panties off, removing his briefs right after. You turn your head back to look at him, curious about his size and what you were getting yourself into. The angle didn't do it justice, but it was definitely bigger than you would've guessed. You smirk, facing the mirror again as he lines up his length with your entrance.
Fitzgerald slides in, both of you making a pleasured noise when his shaft fills you completely. He'd hold onto your hips, starting to thrust into you with precision. A hearty moan comes from the back of your throat, curses slipping your tongue every time he moves back in. His thrusts increase in speed, each one getting harder.
The reality of it all was starting to set in, yet that twinge of guilt you felt earlier was nowhere to be found now. The sound of his moans filled your stomach with butterflies, and the sloppy sound of his cock fucking into you bounced off the walls. It felt so much better than you should've admitted, but keeping it to yourself was difficult. You couldn't help but moan and whine for him, your gumminess convulsing around his length whenever the swollen tip hit your sweet spot.
"Ah, L-Lord Francis, it- fuck- it feels so g-good."
He'd hold onto your body so tightly- you wondered if there'd be bruises where his fingertips had been once this was all over. You could nearly feel his wedding ring pressing into your skin from how strong his grasp was. Fitzgerald would rut into you so roughly, as if he had been waiting for this. And honestly, with the way he had been looking at you as soon as you arrived, he probably was waiting for this.
You probably should've felt bad that that fact boosted your ego, but you didn't. He was making you feel so good, the feeling may as well have been indescribable. You didn't think he made you as crazy as he did, you've never given into your intrusive thoughts about him. To have him fuck you against the bathroom counter while a party happens outside was one of the last things you would've expected to happen tonight.
"Oh my god, y/n- shit- you're such a good girl~"
His body bends over yours, his chest almost touching your back and his cock sliding deeper into your heat. His hands drag up your sides to your chest, groping your breasts and using them for leverage for his movements. In a rasp voice he'd whisper praise to you, mumbling through his moans something about how good you felt. Whatever sweet-nothings he'd whisper were returned, you, whining about how much you were loving this and how long you've waited to feel him stretch you out.
Fitzgerald's thrusts were becoming unsteady, indicating he'd be finishing soon. You really didn't want this to end, honestly, you'd love to just have him fuck into you over and over until your body goes numb. He had wrapped his arms around your torso, lifting you up so your back was against his chest. Your hips repeatedly slam into the counter from the force of his body on yours. He places messy kisses on your shoulder, up to the slope of your neck, still bucking his hips quickly.
You hold on to the edge of the counter, trying to keep your legs from collapsing. He made your body weak, the pleasure being too much for you to keep your body upright. Your senses became clouded, you hadn't even hear him moan something about how he was gonna finish inside you. He knew that band in your stomach was seconds away from snapping; the way your cunt tightened around his shaft was telling enough.
In a loud, whiny tone, you moan his name, falling into a complete state of euphoria when you release all over him. He takes hold of your hips, holding you still when his cock jerks, hot cum spilling into your insides. Your thighs close on each other, and your body twitches, whimpered moans leaving you from being filled up.
Fitzgerald kisses your neck, praising you for being so good for him. He holds you for a second, letting you regain- or at least try to- your composure. Neither of you are breathing steadily and now you're both a little sweaty. He pulls out and lets you stand on your own, despite your legs feeling like they were about to give out on you.
You both clean up the best you can. Your lipstick was smudged and your mascara had become messy, but you managed to touch it up decently. You could feel his cum dripping from your cunt whenever you bent down to clean your thighs, and when you grabbed your clothes off the floor. Your hair was surprisingly in tact, though it'd be best that you try to fix it a little. He was fairly put together, aside from his disheveled hair and swollen pink lips.
It'd cause suspicion if you both stayed in here much longer, which would be the reason you'd recommend going back out. However, he told you stay. You were both dressed, and looked to be in presentable condition, but he said to wait a few more minutes.
"I just want to appreciate this first." he'd say, giving you a genuine, and passionate kiss before you both eventually walk out, minutes apart.
Tonight's events would most definitely complicate things between you, and yet neither of you seemed too bothered by that. You hoped it wouldn't get out of hand after this, but only time would tell if your scandalous affair would come back to bite you in the ass.

i know i’m not stating anything new here, but do ever think about the episode where ahsoka meets bariss for the first time and it’s preluded with an episode where anakin and ahsoka have a game of keeping count on how many droids they’ve gotten (which ngl, i believe anakin began bc 1) he’s a competitive bastard with a need to win aries energy ngl and 2) bc ahsoka is so young and war is so much of a burden that he doesn’t want it all to be on her shoulders) and him being dad-like and overly protective about her briefing.
anakin is the only jedi in his current century to have had an actual parent. he had shmi, who was a slave, raising a young boy and he knows what it is like to be loved in that way, to be cared of in situations where everything is out of your control, and ahsoka is annoyed that anakin isn’t letting her brief her troopers, and she’s felt so disrespected, but anakin doesn’t treat her the way luminara and quite possibly any jedi would treat a padawan. bariss takes a knee when meeting ahsoka, showing total submission to her teachings and the look anakin gives ahsoka comes off as smug, but also almost mocking, too. and at first glance, yeah, maybe he’s brotherly teasing her and being like “see how it should be?” but i see it as more of a  “see, it could be that bad. is that what you want?” bc anakin doesn’t want ahsoka to submit to him, or to anyone. he enjoys her spirit, he even calls her snips. he enjoys her spunk and her daringness and her arrogance because that makes her who she is. where luminara, and probably other jedi masters as well - ie: obi wan in atoc reprimanding anakin a few times like a child, embarrassing him in a way to get him to submit and back down (not that i’m shaming or shitting on obi wan for that bc i’m not, anakin was being arrogant and trying to impress padme bUT STILL.) - believe respect and submission go hand-in-hand. bariss is completely dedicated to the jedi prior to the ahsoka arc. she even coldly kills clones she calls friends because her and ahsoka are threatened.
it’s interesting because anakin did dominate his enemies. his lightsaber techniques is heavily centered on aggressive and dominating tactics to make the opponent to submit. anakin even preferred using force terror, and all of these little nuance things anakin does against his enemies and those who intend on harming him are definitely from his slave past. anakin learned from an early age that power and cruelty went hand-in-hand. anakin probably watched his mother be beaten, had himself beaten, and he was powerless to stop these things from happening and when he learned powers made unconscious choices to ensure not only his safety, but the safety of the ones he loved. i don’t think anakin could’ve ever “tamed” ahsoka. nor do i think he ever thought for a second of changing her, just making her grow. every time ahsoka defies him, or dismisses a direct order that leads to or potentially leads to her men and herself being killed he’s never harsh with her. he allows her to mourn and feel the guilt and shame of what she’s done and he allows her to try again and again, like a parent.
and not going to lie, one of the best anakin and ahsoka moments is when anakin tells plo koon he won’t leave her fate up to others, and then in said episode where ahsoka meets bariss, that luminara says she’s prepared to give up her padawan and questions if anakin could do the same. anakin cannot. anakin would never ever leave ahsoka behind if he thought there was a .00001 in five trillion chance she survived. anakin being ahsoka’s parent (or older brother figure) first is why ahsoka became wise. anakin’s teachings and gentleness allowed ahsoka to step into her greatness and walk away from an order that turned their back on her. anakin taught her how to be strong and resourceful and cunning and empathetic, and i 1000% credit this all to the fact that shmi raised him and that just makes me emotional as fuck because he would’ve been the best goddamn dad to luke and leia.
also bonus points if you know he’d have chased them around the lake with ahsoka being their aunt/big sister goddamnit!

S/O who gets into fights
Pair(s) : Sugawara Koushi x Reader, Yaku Morisuke x Reader, Akaashi Keiji x Reader, Iwaizumi Hajime x Reader, Semi Eita x Reader
Ohoh, boi good luck.
Summary:
It’s not uncommon for you to get into a fight, as you don’t look nor act the type. You don’t ask to get into a fight nor provoke, you simply attract trouble, (Oh, a problem child,,) But if this person (or people) are talking smack about you, you bet your bum that you’re gonna sit down and let them. Nah, you put’em up. Warning? You ARE the WARNING.
Tumblr media
Sugawara Koushi x Reader
((I love and pimp him. Pimp pimp pimp))
He hears it from Yachi. More like, the team does and Nishinoya and Tanaka are ready to throw some hands.
During practice, Yachi, the sweet girl, poor her; she sees you having an intense argument with two other third years when she comes to refill on water bottles.
She knows you, talking to you a couple of times. You were always a sweet upperclassman, kind and soft to her and the team, even Kageyama and Tsukishima showed you respect in your presence.
But when one of them swung the first punch to your face, you bet she dropped everything and hauled ass to the gym to call over your boyfriend.
Sugawara. Ah, yes, the duality of this man. I would say unpredictable, cause some say he’s the responsible type to stop the fight by finding a teacher and others say he’ll unleash Tanaka and Nishinoya.
I say, he’s the type to KNOW who you are and WHAT you are capable of. Yes, he can join in the fight, but last time he saw you fight someone he was unaware and baffled that you are able to land solid one punch (( WANNA BE SAIKYU HEROOO)) and knock’em out. Nah, he’s the type to collect the aftermath and try to bury the evidence ((What a sweet boyfie <3 ))
“Suga-san! (Y/N)-san i-is in a fight a-and I think they need help!” She screeches, catching the attention of the team members.
“Ah, I’ll be back. Gotta collect the corpses.”
Asahi, Hinata, and Yachi nearly pass out when he says that. “Corpses? (Y/N)-san killed them that quick? And Sugawara is the accessory???”
When he finally reaches you, though he knows you’re capable of standing your ground, he can’t help but worry the bruises and cuts on you. You may be able to keep standing, but that doesn’t mean you can avoid ALL their hits.
When he sees your figure, his fingers dig deep into his palms. “(Y/N)?” He calls out to you. You’re huffing and you straighten your back, turning to face him you smile lovingly to him. “Yes, Darling?”
He may simp for you but that doesn’t mean he can’t lecture you.
Sighing, he crouches to the two fools who decided to provoke you and talks to them in that tone where you can’t speak because you’re scared of what they’re capable of. He says that he’ll be watching them closely and that if they mention their S/O beating them up, not only will they all get suspended but Sugawara will make sure they’ll never face pride or regain their HONOR back. (ayye zuko wassup ?)
Standing up, he looks to you and holds your hands as gingerly as possibly, observing the irritated redness on your knuckles and the splotches of small red bloody dots. His nose scrunches cutely as one hand lets go of yours to cup your face carefully because of the now forming bruise on your pretty face.
Sighing, he smiles, brows furrowed, “Sugar, next time, go easy on them. I don’t want your pretty hands to be so messed up. I love you and I don’t mind bandaging them up and kissing them to make you feel better, but I feel the more you punch the more your hands’ll fall off. Then who am I supposed to hold hands with?”
You can’t help but crack a joke, “Ah yes, losing Daichi and me in the same year, my poor Darling~!” You coo to him.
“You’re lucky you’re cute.”
“Oi!”
Tumblr media
Yaku Morisuke x Reader
((Babie,, cat babie ,,, dangerous babiee,,))
While the fiery, third-year, libero of Nekoma dislikes Lev, you absolutely cherish the tall boy and found him cute.
Kuroo makes fun of Yaku saying you should date Lev instead
then you retorted to the rooster head saying that it’ll be weird cause Lev is basically a little brother you’ve always wanted.
One day, after school, while your boyfie was at practice, you were on cleaning duty and overheard some students talking about your two favorite people.
They made fun Lev and then Yaku. They absolutely insulted him for his height and his plays while they made fun of Lev’s intelligence and lack of plays.
And they chose D E A T H
“Hah? Whatcha say?!”
Commence a brawl
You could’ve used the broomstick by breaking it in half and shanking them but you wanted them to know not to die JUST yet.
You were able to leave satisfied yet still pissed. The other students didn’t speak a peep, as to know not to mess with your temper and if they were a snitch, well, snitches get popped.
for the ones who talked smack, you both came to the conclusion to say that you guys were playing too rough with the cleaning supplies
When practice was over, you waited by the gate for your boyfie
Seeing him, you smiled at him and he came up to you, flicking your jaw
“Ow! Love, what was that for? You’re not give your soldier a loving and tender hug for defending you and our child’s honor?” You pouted cutely to him.
His eyes widened a bit,  a pink blush on his face until he squinted his eyes at you. “You got into a fight, again.”
“All in good nature, babe!” You stuck out your tongue to him, surprisingly he stuck out his tongue, to lick you with his own.
“Wha-”
“As much as I love you, you’re lucky that I wasn’t there or I would’ve killed you too to get rid of the evidence.”
“...Aw! You love me so much that you’ll clean my messes, I love you too, Morisuke!”
“...I love you too, you frickin idiot.”
Tumblr media
Akaashi Keiji x Reader
(Ayyeee back at it again, Akaashi-kun, how ya doin?)
Akaashi may be a patient man, but this man can hold his patience with a sharp knife and cut it instantly
It was your movie date and while you waited for Akaashi to get popcorn and snacks, your saw one of your best friends.
You went up to say hi until you heard them talk bad about you, saying how Akaashi is only dating you to keep an eye on you or how you’re too naive that they obviously don’t want you cause you’re too clingy
with the cold, freezing, slushie, you ‘accidentally’ trip and spill it all over your now ex-bestie
like your bestie, that two-faced bih doesn’t go down without a fight
so basically this was your break-up fight
As he bandages your hands, you were too nervous to speak to him
You weren’t afraid of anything, not failing, not teachers or authority, nor suspencion
Though, you were very afraid of Akaashi’s silent temper
“Ah, Love-”
Pretty boy looks at you so quick you flinch for the upcoming lecture yet he says nothing which makes it even more scary for what he’ll say
“Are you mad at me?” You ask cutely, pouting and looking through your lashes while your head is down in shame
After a couple of minutes waiting for his answer, he sighs
“Blossom, you know how concerned I get when you get into fights. It...” He looks away, “hurts me to see you hurt...I love you a lot that I’m mad at myself that I wasn’t there to help you.” He confesses with a red tint spreading to the tips of his ears.
Oh dear LORD this man continues to speak heavenly got ME swooning-
“I should’ve known that friend of yours wasn’t true to you...I’m sorry I couldn’t see that. If you want, we can have Kenma pirate the movie and send us the link. Better than going out, right?”
((THIS MAN HAS THE AUDACITY TO SMILE LIKE A FRICKIN GOD AHW I HATE IT HERE))
Your eyes sparkle and you launch to hug him, he lets out s strangled yelp as he falls back onto the bed
Though easy to get into fights, you were easy to cry, as you were emotional to these kinds of things
“AGHAAHHSHI I LOVE YOU I FRICKIN HATE YOU CAUSE YOURE SO PERFECT UWAYWHH” ((omg me))
Chuckling, he buries his head into the crook of your neck, one hand on your side and the other petting your hair
“I love you too, blossom”
Tumblr media
Iwaizumi Hajime x Reader
((YEES YES YES YES I  STAN AND I PIMP ,, PIMP PIMP PIMMP)))
((LOOK AT HIM LOOK AT. HIM.))
What a cactus. Don’t we stan?
I stan. I totally stan.
When you get into a fight this man KNOWS he’s most likely gonna watch to see if there is any bih to try to hit you while you’re busy fUCKING UP WITH OTHERS WHO MESSED WITH YA
Iwaizumi is literally the chillest ngl
Will probably join if some CUNT ASS BIH  decides to pull ya hair or pick up some petty stick to beat you with it
((the more i write at 4:30 AM, the more my mind expands to more fight scenarios ohohhhh get ready my friends))
Literally the toughest couple
no cap, no one will mess with you unless they’re tryna get f’d in the a in the most unpleasurable way (omg that rhymes)
Oikawa makes funny and teasing jokes about how you both look so intimidating that you’ll get wrinkles on your faces
“Keep barking, Oikawa, cause I can make sure my kicks can knock off that bitchy attitude <3″
“Why are you and Iwa-chan like this.”
“Lmao get wrecked Trashykawa.”
Sometimes you act like Oikawa’s guard too, the fans know of your rep around school, so they don’t bother Oikawa as much which means Iwaizumi doesn’t have to spike volleyballs at his head so they can head to practice without any distractions ((Though Iwa still does it when Oikawa gets too flirty when thanking you))
Omg I can go forever with Iwa holleeeeemolleee
I feel,, that when he’s bandaging up your face, your cleaning the cuts on his....chest.... n’ biceps,,,oof to be you...
I feel like getting into fights can also count as a date
how fun would that be
talking about your fight date with him in front of other ppl who don’t really know you
I imagine you and iwa-babes talking and you’re like, staring so lovingly at his face and reach to touch the cut above his lip and you’re reminiscing
“Babes, remember when we fought those two losers at the parking lot of a Target?”
“Oh yeah, I remember that. That dickbag got his ass handed to you, nice right hook by the way.”
Then the strangers RUDELY overhearing are like ‘Wth??? is this?? real?? did they actually fight two people?’
You did.
Oikawa posted it.
Tumblr media
Semi Eita x Reader
((Grey haired babes hit different, y’know?))
he’ll just be >:|
I can’t say he’ll be mad at you, but more like, concerned that his face looks mad
The same with Akaashi, you’re waiting for him to lecture you, but he’s quiet when he’s...worried,,concerned
You got into a fight because some BIHS from another sports team talked shit about the volleyball team, SPECIFICALLY your boyfie (how convenient for the plot)
You may be smol but you have HELLFIRE
“AYE WANNA SAY IT TO MY FACE MUTHA-”
Long story short,,, you may have won the battle, but you are unsure if the war will reign supreme, by war I mean you’re preparing for Semi’s scolding
Waiting in his dorm room, you played the soundtrack he made for you and patiently waited until he came back from practice
When HE DOES come from practice, he opened the door to see you sleeping on the floor, back against his bed and when he was going to quietly coo at how cute you look, he gets a closer look at the split lip and bruised knuckles
...You have...a tampon shoved up your nose?
“Muse. Bubs.” He cups your cheek, then patting it gently.
When you wake up, you jump back
“BUBs, beh, listen, I, may have done something to someone out of provocation and insults whereas I also defended not only myself-” You wince at he narrows his lovely eyes at you, peering for you to go on (omg you frickin simp)
“I have protected you and your team from their,, falsehoods”
(Why are you talking like that lmao)
He blinks once. twice. going to his bathroom, he gets the first aid kid he ALWAYS had to restock because his babes CANT STOP GETTING INTO FIGHTS so he can patch you up
“I love you, but we can take their idiocy, it’s just your idiocy I’m worried about...” He continues on, then he starts to listen to the music you’re playing
you’re playing one of his playlists he made for you
specifically, “When I’m with You <3″
He becomes flustered and you wonder if HE’S okay
“Sh-Shut up, stupid! Stop getting into fights!”

Please No Kids!
Author: Drago Type: Rant Words: 696 Summary: Drago's thoughts on anti-childfree attitudes.
[Part of the Sol System's Alterhuman Writing Project for NaNoWriMo 2021. If you don't want to see these posts, block the tag #inkedpaws]
Do I want kids? I mean, the answer is yes. I want a clutch of eggs and a mate to share them with, like a lot of other dragons. I feel like that’s not exactly “astounding” or “amazing.” It’s the drive to procreate, which I, like almost every other animal, experience.
It’s when I tell people I don’t want or plan to have human kids that people tend to lose the trail. “Oh, why not?” For the same reason I don’t want a parrot: they’re a life-long commitment that I don’t feel the desire to have. And if I don’t feel the desire to have kids, or a parrot, then I should make sure not to get any. Otherwise, they might not get the care they’d deserve, I’d be miserable dealing with a crying, or squawking, and it’d just kind of be all-around irresponsible and incompatible with my life style.
And commentary usually continues something like this… “But how can you not want kids, they’re so cute!” I mean…so are the parrots I mentioned. Just because something is cute isn’t a good reason to take it under your care, or for its wellbeing to otherwise become entirely reliant on you. I’m not saying kids are bad, or that kids shouldn’t exist, mind you—I, personally, just don’t want any! Kids are fine and dandy for people who want them, and I support those people whole-heartedly.
“But who will take care of you when you’re old? Aren’t you being selfish by not having kids, your parents expect it!” Look, I just want to say: I hate the idea that kids are “responsible” for their parents when they’re old. Is it nice, the idea of being comfortable and yadda yadda when I’m older? I mean, fuck yeah it is. But the idea of putting that on another person, especially in the United States where that’s a financial burden that could arguably verge onto a death sentence depending on somebody’s income level and health…that’s just not right. I don’t care how normalized it is, or expected it is, it’s just not right. I could never do that to my hatchlings, put that on them like that. Couldn’t do it.
There’s also such a weird thing when it comes to “parents” and blood family, as a system-mate. I hate to be the devil figure that everybody portrays dragons as, but I really feel no bond to the body’s human family…and I imagine a lot of dragon systemmates in human bodies, especially those of us who rarely front, feel pretty similar. I don’t feel like I owe these fundamental strangers jack nor shit on any front, especially on access to anything I consider a child. Hell, I wouldn’t let the body’s blood family within a hundred miles of any hatchlings I had, no matter how much they and society might whine otherwise. Both on the principle of the matter and the fact that they’re terrible people. Why does human society think it’s okay to pressure individuals into allowing the most sensitive members of their nest to be exposed to great danger? I don’t get it. It’s so fucking counterintuitive.
And then you get the weird, uncomfortable, social-media-specific examples of things people say when you mention not wanting kids, in comparison to the weird biblical shit people will say IRL. “So you just hate minors?”, “If you’re old enough to have kids, you’re too old to still be on the internet lol”, “Not wanting kids just shows you’re an immature adult…kinda sus ngl, you pro-ship or anti-ship?”, and so on. What? What?? What??? What does any of this have to do with the topic of choice?!
Like, in terms of “I’m a childfree dragon,” you’d really think people would get more hung up on the ‘dragon’ bit, but I don’t think many even read after the ‘childfree’ part with how they act.
If I were in my own proper body, I would be having kid/I would have a family. But what’s with the weird shaming? And why do people care so much if I decide that kids would be a bad idea for both myself and the hypothetical children?

What does he know?
You find yourself spacing out as you stand at the printer, waiting for Namjoon's schedule.
Just when you thought you had found some normalcy to your already chaotic life, you find yourself here. Biting your bottom lip, you groan, falling on top of the printer, the warmth as it sparks to life easing you even if it's for a little while.
"Why me?" you murmur, your brow furrowed and eyes glistening with helpless emotion. "Why now?"
What happened to the auditions you had sent before? In a time where you believed that you could achieve your dream without anything or anyone else holding you back. Were you not good enough then?
What makes you good enough now?
Groaning, you slide off the printer and run your hands through your hair. Your neat look has been thoroughly rumpled, just like your day, and you wonder if there will ever be a time where you're allowed to breathe.
Where you're welcome to let go.
With the small slip of paper sliding out of the printer, you grab it and turn swiftly around, ready to take it to Namjoon.
If only life were easier.
With a sharp cry, you bump into a couple of people walking by, and scalding hot liquid splatters between the two of you. A bitter, almost pitch black liquid soils your shirt and destroys the schedule you hold in your hands.
Coffee? Again?
Sighing, You wipe some of the drops off your face before glancing up to see if the pair is all right.
It's two girls and from the looks of it, they seem to be staff themselves, perhaps working on the publications team. You try to catch a glimpse of their badges, but they're moving too much and you can't get a good enough look.
However, you're able to catch a glimpse of their features perfectly fine. One of them is tall, with a soft tan to her smooth skin, and darker features. She has obsidian eyes that glitter when the light catches them and a square jawline that matches her demanding aura. Her hair is long and straight but looks soft to the touch. She doesn't wear many expressions on her face, however, and looks to be a bit standoffish. She would be hard to get close to.
The second one is the one who was carrying the coffee and though her face is pulled into one of disgust, you can tell that she's gorgeous. She has soft honeydew skin and almond butter eyes. Her face is perfectly symmetrical, and her lips full and glossy. Her eyes are large and wide, a deep brown color, with long dark eyelashes brushing against her cheek each time she blinks. They would otherwise be beautiful if they didn't sparkle with hatred and malice.
After a moment, you recognize what you've done; panic rising in your throat, you scramble to do something. You quickly reach for your emergency towels, but you've left your satchel in your small office. Cursing silently underneath your breath, you reach down to pick up the discarded cup and help her as best as you can.
"I'm sorry I--"
"Watch out will you?!"
Stunned, you step back, not sure what to do. It's been a while since you've been yelled at like that. A while since you've felt that shock. Swallowing hard, you shake it off and proceed to pick up the cup, keeping your distance.
Maybe it's better to just leave her alone.
"Wait..." at the sound of her voice, you look up, rather disinterested. "Who are you?"
Rolling your eyes, you turn to the trash can. You can't believe you expected an apology. Her friend, the one who was helping her clean up, peers at you before nudging her.
"She's who we were talking about, remember? Jaejin's replacement."
At the mention of your friend's name, your ears perk, and you drop the coffee cup in the trash can. Just what have they been saying about you two? Biting the inside of your cheek in annoyance, you turn around, facing them head-on.
"Oh!" The coffee girl's eyes widen. She looks you up and down as though inspecting a piece of meat. Her lip curls as she turns to her friends, eyes darkening with disgust. "Why didn't they ask one of us? She's hardly experienced."
You raise an eyebrow. Do they think you can't hear them? The dark beauty shrugs, her black eyes dull with disinterest.
"I heard she knows Jaejin. He gave her the post."
You try to be angry, you try to deny the accusations...but they aren't wrong.
Somehow, that makes it worse.
"Who is she, a colonizer?!" Ms. Coffee scoffs, tossing her hair over her shoulder. You try not to flinch, but you can't control it. You swallow hard, curling your hands into fists at your sides.
"Besides, isn't Jaejin dating Mijeong?"
Your breath stops as you hear the words, the same words Sunoh said when you met him. The same words which remind you of everything you have lost.
If they continue to speak, you don't listen, you can't hear them. The roar starts in your ears as your blood rushes to your head, and spots cloud your vision. You can't see, you can't think, you can't function.
Why is it still so hard?
Why can't you let go?
You feel yourself begin to sway as the room swirls into fragments of time and space, and you lose sight of where and who you are.
The only thing left is pain.
Always pain.
"Who says he isn't?" The hand wrapping itself securely around your shoulder, the soft calming voice at your ear, brings you back to reality and you're able to breathe again.
"Jojo?" The tall dark beauty's eyes widen and she steps back a bit. It seems as though she's started a fight she won't be able to finish. Jojo narrows her eyes, her hand tightening around your shoulder as she pulls you behind her in a protective gesture.
"What's going on here?"
"Nothing." Miss Coffee quickly intervenes, sending a wide smile your way. One that somehow comes across as menacing, matching the anger in her eyes. "Just a careless newbie is all."
Her voice is dripping with sarcasm and her friend beside her pinches her in her side, whispering something incomprehensible in her ear. The Coffee Girl shakes her off, growing furious by the second. You narrow your eyes her way. This has to be more than a stupid coffee spill, but what could she possibly have against you?
"Come on, Jojo. She's the one in the wrong. If it were any one of us, you wouldn't give a second look." She snarls before turning to you and reaching around Jojo to push you backward.
"Ya!" Jojo cries out in surprise, stepping in front of you, but not before the damage is done. Caught off guard, you stumble back into the printer. Her friend gasps, and steps back. You wonder if she's considering removing herself from the equation. Pulling yourself up, you glare at her before stepping forward.
"What's your problem?" you hiss, your hands clenching at your side to try and contain your anger. Jojo steps in front of you once more, just in case you decide to start swinging some punches. Frustrated, you push her aside. It's not like you're going to do anything. Jojo sends you a sideways glance, but you ignore her, focusing on the target in front of you. “What are you, a child?”
"Did you hear something?" The girl smirks, nudging her friend beside her who swallows nervously. You don't know why, but that only makes you angrier, and you consider stepping across Jojo to smack some sense into her. Instead, you deepen your glare and roll your eyes.
"Pathetic..."
Are you wrong? She's acting like a child. So naturally, your snide comment doesn't sit well with her. Eyes widening in anger, she raises her hand to slap you across the cheek, and you flinch.
But the strike never comes.
Opening your eyes slowly, you turn to find someone has come in between the two of you, hand wrapped tightly around the girls. You look to Jojo, half expecting the source to be her...but it's not. Her eyes are wide and she seems to have frozen.
So then who?
"Now now." Your eyes widen at the voice and your heart starts pounding hard in your ears as he steps in front of you, shielding you. The girl stares up at him with shameful fear, as though her entire world has just been shattered. "You should really watch your temper."
He drops her hand and she steps back, her friend catching her from behind.
"You never know who might be watching."
He gestures to the room, at the groups of people watching, whispering to each other. They don't hide their interest, nor their disgust as they send looks towards the girl.
Satisfied, he turns to you, a reassuring smile breaking out on his face. The same face known and cherished worldwide. Up close, it's even more unreal.
Kim Seokjin.
"As you said, Yen is new, and when you were first starting out, you made way more mistakes believe me." Jojo snaps, her eyes glittering with anger as she turns to Coffee. She steps forward, leaning beside her ear.
"I would be careful who you make an enemy, sweetheart." She whispers harshly, loud enough for anyone close to the two of them to hear. "Namjoon quite likes his assistant, wonder what he'd do if something happened to her."
Though the threat wasn't directly said, it's clear what Jojo meant and as she pulls back, smiling sweetly; the girl's pale face tells you that she clearly understood.
"Is that all then?" Jin says from beside you, causing you to jump. When did he get so close? The girl glances at the two of you and seems to grow furious at the sight. Her pale face quickly flushes with anger and she scowls before storming away, ramming her shoulder violently into yours before she goes; her friend scuttling after her.
"Ya!" Jojo calls, but the girl is already gone, and you don't mind. Scoffing, she shakes her head before turning to you. "So immature...what are we kids?"
You don't respond, instead, you turn away from the pair of them, finding your printed schedule discarded and drenched on the ground. Sighing, you pick it up, holding it gingerly in your hands.
Everything soiled.
"Now I have to start all over."
Behind you, Jojo and Jin give each other a look before Jojo kneels beside you and places her hand on your shoulder. When you don't look at her right away, she peers into your face and you turn to her, your face blank.
"Yen, are you alright?" you nod before pulling away, throwing the schedule in the trash can.
"I'm fine."
Jojo sighs before standing as well.
"Why didn't you stop them?" you pause at the question.
Why didn't you stop them? You're not sure you know yourself. You wanted to, you wanted to fight back...
But you have no fight left.
Sighing, you shake off the feeling of despondency before turning to her and smiling weakly.
"Were they wrong?" Jin furrows his brow in concern at the phrase. He tries to read your expression, understand what's wrong but it's near impossible. You've closed yourself off to everyone around you, and while you try to act tough, you're afraid. Sighing you turn away from them, unable to handle the pitying looks. "Besides, I don't have to answer to them."
I don't have to answer to anybody.
After a moment, Jin walks to your side and places his hand gently on your shoulder. Surprised, you flinch away from his grasp, but it doesn't phase him. He looks down at you with a somber expression before noticing your drenched shirt. You follow his gaze and the heat of embarrassment floods your cheeks. You quickly fold your arms across the stain, acting as though it doesn't exist. He smirks a little at the attempt.
Now she...she's interesting.
"Jojo?" He calls, still staring at you, and you narrow your eyes.
What is he expecting, a cookie?
"Would you mind printing out the schedule for Ms..." His eyes search for your badge before he locates it and takes it, reading your name. "...Lin today?"
Jojo nods but looks towards him a bit perplexed.
"Sure...but what are you planning to do?"
Smiling he twirls your ID in his hand before you snatch it away from him which only makes his smile grow wider. Taking your hand, he turns and pulls you behind him, Jojo staring at the two of you in shock.
"I'm going to help her change."

I got into a conversation on Reddit with someone about the less than stellar writing of the companions in Fallout 4 and how they could be improved. They described them as semi-mute donkeys, which I found both amusing and accurate.
The first thing I'd do is give them more conversations. Danse, for example, only actually has four conversations with Sole. For reference, I'm excluding plot-related conversations such as stuff he says in Call To Arms because it's mostly just him talking at the Sole Survivor (gotta love that tell not show lmao). You can listen to it all in 15 minutes. To compare, Cullen from Dragon Age Inquisition has 14 conversations, excluding plot related conversations. And that's just conversations that go into actual cutscenes, it's not including all the mini conversations you can have with him. To listen to all of Cullen's dialogue content it takes 1 hour and 38 minutes.
Related to the conversations I would not have the romance be the last conversation. For a lot of people the best part about companions is developing a relationship with them, whether or not it's romantic. For most companions the earliest you can flirt with them is the second to last conversation, with Danse it's the third to last (his second conversation, in other words). With no build up or any real cultivation of a relationship this feels extremely forced and disjointed. I generally disagree with people who complain about characters being "player-sexual" (people said the same thing about Dragon Age 2) because a lot of the time it's thinly veiled biphobia, but the obvious lack of care and effort (or perhaps lack of skill) makes it feel like the argument has more merit in FO4.
Have the characters actually interact with each other. The only times your companions interact with each other is when you're switching between companions, but they only ever say one line to each other and it's always the same line. The only time I can really think of any of the companions properly interacting is between Piper and Nick, but that's to further the plot. I think the best way to solve this issue would be to have two companions follow you at the same time. That way they could have banter akin to Dragon Age companions. Another way would be able to allow them to interact when at the same settlement.
On a similar note, I know that companions do comment on their environment and the quest at hand on occasion, but I think they need to increase that. Really helps with the semi-mute donkey problem.
Have more physical interactions with the characters. I know there's implied sex if you sleep while a romanced companion follows you, but the ability to hug them or kiss them would have been amazing. Also ngl, as horrifying as I'm sure the Bethesda sex animations would have been I still think it would have been a nice addition. Non-sexual interactions could be stuff like sharing a drink at a bar or something like that.
The companions need to have the appearance of a life outside of the Sole Survivor. Preston kinda shows this as he has random NPCs come up to him and thank him for his work with the Minutemen, but that's really it. In theory Piper should be chasing down stories, Nick should be working on new cases, Hancock should be managing Goodneighbour, Danse should be commanding other BoS members, etc. But they don't. I think part of the problem is that once recruited you have to send them to a settlement, whereas for the companions that have homes it would make much more sense for them to go back home. Piper is literally abandoning her 10 year old sister. It would also be kinda cool if Piper continued to publish stories, perhaps based on quests you've completed such as a story and interview with Vadim after Confidence Man. I know there are two cases (excluding DLC) that you can work on with Nick, but considering you don't even have to do those with him it doesn't really count. I'd really like a radiant quest with Nick to help him solve cases, though preferably offered less often than Preston's Minutemen quests. For companions that don't have homes I'd like to see them interact with settlements in their own way. For example, Curie could set up a little medical shop or could walk around doing scientific research (plus imagine how cute she'd be with a little clipboard).
The companions need actual arcs and this includes personal quests. Most of them have some semblance of an arc, but none of it is impactful or really changes the companion that much, the main exception being Cait. Danse doesn't even change his Brotherhood lines post-Blind Betrayal nor do his approval/disapproval triggers change, despite dialogue implying he's begun to at least question some of his personal beliefs. The personal quests help give the companions a motivation and a want that exists outside of the Sole Survivor. Plus it's just interesting and god knows Fallout 4 needed more interesting quests. Piper, Deacon, Hancock, and X6-88 don't even have personal quests.
Companions that aren't fully formed should have either been cut or made complete companions (I'm excluding Dogmeat here because, well, he's a dog). This is really just Codsworth and Strong. I would obviously have preferred to have all the companions be full companions, I think Strong is genuinely interesting and it's a shame he doesn't have proper conversations. But yeah, if it would have saved them time to put more effort into the fleshed out companions I would have preferred that, quality over quantity and all that.
Very interested to hear everyone's thoughts!

I came from a country where being gay is not illegal but still very badly seen so what Eric did to me came off as spoiled and privileged. Nigerian men risk their lives every time they try to live and he just comes on a holiday risk for nothing and get a high out of it like... I get he is a poc in uk so racism but he is still privileged in respect to Nigerian living there and it felt like when tourists do all they want and use foreign countries as a eat pray love playground for adrenaline and Deep Moments
thanks for having partially confirmed to me one thing i didn’t quite know how to articulate and again i don’t… right with the premise that ofc not being poc and/or lgbt myself so my opinion is worth what it’s worth i felt like not only it made eric come off as privileged and not quite realizing it - or if it was the target then it wasn’t well written nor did it come across well - the points that imvho are not well put in this entire narrative are the following
let’s say one target was ‘we want eric to reconnect with the nigerian part of his heritage and realize that being gay in the uk is a privileged position in comparison to being gay in nigeria’: there is a single moment where he feels unsafe on the car but then he goes into the bar and it was played as… like THRILLING WILL WE GET CAUGHT OR NOT but i didn’t perceive that he felt in danger or like he realized exactly what he was facing
the whole family reconnection part was like… his mom lied about her husband bc family peace and kind of forces him to not be out bc she fears for his safety so like now unless i remember wrong eric has been out/never felt like he didn’t have to be since the show started so it should have a) given him insight re how it feels to NOT being able to be out b) let his mom connect with him on having to lie abt your significant other part c) concluded with at least a hint he could come out to nigerian family and like… point b) was more or less explored, c) was hinted bc he talked to his grandma abt adam but a) felt ABSOLUTELY missing because he comes back and everything he seems to gather from it is I WANT TO GO TO BARS BECAUSE I CAN? and most of all……. going through a) should have made him more sympathetic to adam’s struggles and instead it seemed like he deduced ‘oh since in nigeria it’s illegal then it makes no sense he’s taking so much time’ like…? it’s… a pretty self centered take to get out of this entire experience and if it was a check your privilege storyline then good but… it didn’t feel like that was how they framed honestly and why talking abt adam to the grandma if he’s gonna dump him????
now the eat pray love thing you mentioned is… i mean i felt like it was along those lines but as stated couldn’t be sure re my take but again my issue is with how they went at it, bc you CAN do that narrative if you clearly frame it as ‘we like eric and he’s a swell guy but he’s not free from that kinda behavior in light of the fact that living in the uk gives him automatic privilege wrt being out so we’re going to explore how he deals with it and it might be badly but then he learns from it and checks his privilege’ like it’s smth that can happen and everyone in this show has been shitty wrt smth at some point which is good bc it means everyone is written realistically… i’m not sure the narrative said THAT but it didn’t look like even the writers knew bc it was all over the place?? and i mean… i get that this show has realistic teenagers which means they can behave like petty assholes but like it was rushed, badly explained, not overt re wtf they wanted to do with this storyline and it’s not clear if eric even cares at the end?? and thats ooc anyway bc the eric we saw until this point isn’t… that callous or dismissive? and it never seemed to me like they wanted to write him as positive char that progressively gets less sympayhetic so honestly this entire plotline looks stupid
like the thing is at the end of it: - has eric reconnected to his nigerian heritage/found a way to balance it with his uk background? doesn’t seem to me like he did - has eric concluded anything re telling the nigerian side of his family that he’s out? no - has eric gained some actual insight from his experience that’s not ‘I want to go to bars because I can and I have no patience for someone who needs to take it slower’? doesn’t seem to me like he did - has eric realized that adam not being ready to tell his own mom stuff was a sort of parallel situation to his own mother not being ready to tell her mom stuff and like... if eric’s own mom lied about her partner to her family for years and still wasn’t ready to do it then why is giving adam a bit more time to tell his own mom especially given his less than stellar background re accepting himself and coming out such a hardship? no and we just don’t know basically this entire plotline could have gone a bunch of different places that were interesting/could have caused strong conflict/interesting storytelling but it didn’t do any of these things and fell back on like... cheap drama for the sake of it and honestly idt it was very sensitive wrt anything included in it which honestly strikes me as odd bc if sex ed ever did one thing right was treating sensitive subjects well without dancing around it or making things sugarcoated and still letting the characters not be cardboards so I’m very very perplexed about it and I just hope they plan to reveal wtf they wanted it to be next year because honestly I don’t know what it wanted to be and if they didn’t make it clear it’s not good writing - which until now they had in spades, therefore....
like, there’s nothing... narratively wrong in ‘I want to show that character X who faces racism and homophobia in the UK would have privilege wrt being able to be out/live his sexuality without shame in the UK and not in the country his family comes from and he has no idea because he hasn’t entertained that thought and he might come off as unpleasant or incapable of immediately getting it while that happens’, but the thing is that in this specific narrative it’s not clear whether eric got it or if he didn’t bc teenagers are shallow and don’t get it (which..... I mean the teens in this show aren’t exactly shallow like that so that doesn’t really hold up) or if he’s having trouble processing it or if the trip shook his entire world (didn’t seem like it) so like... I should hope next season it’s addressed what they want this thing to be because honestly idk and I don’t particularly like the direction it took
this adding that anyway again the way they broke eric and adam off like that makes the whole S2 finale look sour and eric come off like an asshole also wrt rahim because I mean, one thing is ‘eric has been in love with adam/has liked adam best all along but adam wasn’t around and he liked rahim so he gave it a shot but rahim wasn’t it for him so when adam does the great love gesture for him in front of everyone he decides to leave rahim for him’ because like that sucked for rahim anyway but it also wouldn’t have been fair to him to not break it off if eric had stronger feelings for someone else (and that was clear from the get-go) and then when they get together eric puts effort in it and they go places, one thing is ‘all of that happens but then the moment they aren’t on the exact same page and/or eric realizes he doesn’t want to put the necessary effort into respecting the time adam needs to handle his things even when adam forgives him and says he’ll try to get on track with him’ and so the solution is nah let’s break up instead of putting some work into it when ngl adam has been doing 85% of that this season................. it makes him look like the moment there’s an obstacle to a relationship he’s in or his partner isn’t on the same wavelength he’d just rather break it off first instead of giving it a go and that’s not a really great look on him and as stated it makes the thing with rahim look really bad because again one thing is leaving someone you like for someone who feels like is the love of your life and another thing is leaving someone you like for someone who loves you that much but then you’ll leave them too because..... he needs time to talk to his mother and he’s not ready to be fully out when he comes from repressingyourfeelingsinternalizedhomobiphobia central? like........ dunno but it just feels sour and like nothing one would expect out of eric as he was written/developed until now so I’mma just wait to see what they do next season but it’s just not good writing all around

I just wanna enable you to talk more about Katsuki so. top 5 (or 10, or however many you feel like) Bakugou romantic ships? not like number 1 will be a surprise but hey ;p
ah, shipping. the perfect topic with which to take a breather from leg puns and the quirkless!Bakugou debate. nothing controversial about ships lmao.
disclaimer: these are literally just my favorite Bakugou ships, as asked. I have few to no NOTPs, and I’m not anti-anything, nor do I have any opinions on whether or not any of these will or should become canon (as it really makes no difference to me, since I ship them all platonically as well). basically I have no skin in the “shipping somehow has winners and losers” game. I’m just here for the emotional energy and the lulz and the character development.
anyways this is a top six because I couldn’t bear to leave either of my two favorite rarepairs out whoops.
BakuDeku - like you said anon, not a surprise lol. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; for me, these two are the core of the series. honestly it sometimes strikes me as ironic that this ship is so often written off as abusive or unhealthy or toxic, because I often find myself thinking that roughly 90% of all of Bakugou and Deku’s problems could be sorted out just by them communicating with each other. and I don’t mean just their own specific relationship problems -- I mean all of their problems. Bakugou is having an emotional crisis about something? have him talk to Deku. Deku’s overwhelmed by a problem and way overthinking it? have him talk to Bakugou! they balance each other out, is the thing. when one of them veers off course, the other is the compass to steer them back on track. that’s the power of rivals!! and aside from that, this relationship is just so complex, and I am weak for absolutely all of it. it’s just this perfect blend of push and pull and friction and trust. it’s the type of ship where the two of them have such a strong connection that it’s like gravity; they can’t help but orbit the other, even when that orbit is sometimes unsteady. it’s just such a powerful bond and just... guh. I have way too many emotions about it so I am just going to STOP NOW and move on to the next ship.
TodoBaku - so by now we have reached a point where pretty much everyone in class 1-A is an expert on handling Bakugou, and ngl, it’s my favorite thing ever. but what makes the TodoBaku relationship so especially appealing is that Shouto is completely unafraid to just step right up and declare his friendship to the entire world. Todoroki “I’m calling it like it is” Shouto, who, after giving the matter careful consideration, correctly judged himself and Bakugou to be the closest of friends, and thus decided that they should intern together and he should introduce him to his family and get his sister to cook his favorite foods. and the entire time, Bakugou is all “please no one listen to this delusional freak, we are not friends at all,” even as he proceeds to get himself involved in all of the Todoroki family drama, and saves Shouto’s brother’s life, and learns all of his sister’s recipes, and presumably cries himself to sleep at night wondering how he could have let this happen.
Kacchako - what I like about Ochako’s relationship with Katsuki is that she’s one of the few people who’s not afraid to call him out on his shit. she’s not just warmly tolerant of him like some of the others; she has expectations of him, and will unabashedly express her sound disappointment if he fails to be the person she knows he’s capable of being. I feel like Ochako has no patience for him taking his sweet time with his character development, and is just “goddammit young man, just sort your shit out with Deku already and go back to being best friends like you both so clearly want, and while you’re at it please try to treat other people less like garbage”, and various other things that are all true but that he of course hates to hear, but TOO BAD lol. anyway so I love that, and I love that she’s just as stubborn as he is. and I also love that there’s genuine, mutual respect between the two of them as well. never forget that Katsuki is the one who first brought out Ochako’s homicidal badass side. anyway so they basically complement each other very well, and I have my fingers crossed that one of these days Horikoshi will decide to actually have them interact with each other again because damn.
KiriBaku - Kirishima, on the other hand, is warmly tolerant of Bakugou, and openly admiring of him even, but it tends to be in a way that brings out Bakugou’s best qualities. Kiri just has this way of bringing out Bakugou’s confidence in himself. like, he’s very good at saying precisely the right words to make Bakugou grin that smirky little grin of his, the one that’s all “oh yeah, that’s right, I’m a badass.” and seeing as Bakugou, for all his pride and bluster, is surprisingly prone to having mini crises of confidence, this is a valued skill that I’m very grateful to Kiri for having! and what’s nice is that Bakugou is very good at returning the favor, since Kiri is prone to crises of confidence as well. the little flashback right before Kiri unveils Unbreakable for the first time is one of my favorite moments in the series. when this ship is firing on all cylinders they really bring out the best in each other. and also they are both dumb bros which is an extremely undervalued dynamic. I love it when Bakugou is all “HEY KIRISHIMA LET ME BLOW YOU UP A BIT” and Kiri is just like “YEAHHHH!” heh.
KamiBaku - and now for the first of the two rarepairs! first of all I would just like to state that I absolutely cannot fathom why KamiBaku is a rarepair to begin with, unless it’s simply because everyone is already too obsessed with the previously mentioned ships. but at any rate it’s a damn shame, because the cuteness of this ship is off the fucking charts, and right now it’s all just going to waste. what I adore more than anything about this ship is the way Bakugou tolerates every single fucking thing Kaminari does and LETS HIM GET AWAY WITH IT. he lets him call him “Kacchan.” he lets Kaminari manhandle him into various getups (the A Band shirt; the Santa outfit) on multiple occasions while putting up absolutely no fight. he basically allows him an almost unprecedented level of closeness, which Kaminari proceeds to BLATANTLY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF at every turn seemingly unchecked! and he is the all time champ at tricking Bakugou into participating in social interactions (tying the ribbon to his foot during the Christmas gift exchange, telling him he won’t get any food at the New Year’s feast if he doesn’t help cook, etc.). he just loves him and wants him to be included. honestly this one of the most adorable relationships in the entire goddamn series and I am tired of it being slept on. the people deserve more KamiBaku dammit.
IidaBaku - last but not least, a relationship between two people who I’m pretty sure have only actually interacted with each other a handful of times, and most of those times involved them shouting at each other! ah, yes. the stick in the mud and the delinquent. god’s natural enemies. except that in this case the “delinquent” is a star student who tutors other kids and goes to bed every night at 8:30, and the stick in the mud once hatched a legitimate plot to kill a man. what I am trying to say is that these two are actually WAY more alike than they would ever care to admit, and I’m kind of obsessed with it?? this is one of those ships where all it would take is one well-applied trope and the possibilities are endless. you could literally just pick one out of a hat. fake dating, roommates, only one bed, undercover as lovers, WHATEVER. and not only does this have the potential to be the most hilarious ship in the history of time, but it also has potential to be disarmingly, shockingly sweet, I shit you not. there are a couple of little moments in the light novels that I absolutely adore, where they’re each taking care of the other with the other having absolutely no idea. Iida makes about four attempts to tuck Bakugou in during the forest training camp arc because his covers have fallen off and he doesn’t want him to catch a chill, and Bakugou unknowingly returns the favor by preventing Iida from stumbling across the preparations for his own surprise birthday party before the others are finished getting ready. by shoving Iida into an elevator and ordering him to go back to his room with absolutely no explanation given lmao. anyway, but the point is the potential is definitely there for cuteness and chemistry and mutual respect while arguing nonstop like an old married couple.
so there you go! honestly Bakugou somehow has chemistry with just about everyone in his class, which is super impressive for someone with the personality of a rabid wolf spider. god bless him.

ngl random thought but i hope people cheirsh and see my passion for peace and equality at times. not trying to come off as a 'oh I'm the best u should listen to me cuz ik what's wrong and right' no. I'm not a saint. I'm 16 and i still don't know shit about the world but i still want what's best for everyone even if it hurts some. by 'hurts some' i mean privileged people who only want goods for themselves and other privileged people. I'm not racist nor ableist nor do i hate people who belive in religion. still, I'm not a saint because i have shamed people in the past and sometimes it manages to get the best of me even to this day and i end up shaming and making fun of people. i still want to keep being better and uplift people for whatever the world rejected them for yk? and shit i have said sm shit about christianity and nothing justifies it. i can't make up the excuse that i used to be forced into religion blah blah christians did this christians did that. nah it can't be excused at this point but that's what I'm fighting for now. i want every race, every gender, every religion, every sex, every everything to be equal in their own pace. truly, we can't be equal on the same pages because some things work different ways but i hope that every judgement and bad thought and bad doing be erased from our lil ol planet. i mean yea I'm white and atheist and i have a wealthy and normal family who i get along with but shit once i grow up and can control the wealth i make on my own, i want to use it for goods. i hope I'll get rid of the internal homophobia, racism, ableism and whatevers left in me and point out the right even if it 'embarasses' me. shit i don't really care about social standards anymore nor what people have to say about me. if i did something wrong, i made sure to teach myself to forgive and forget and apologize. i finally put my pride away and honestly it changes a person so much. I'm no better than anyone and nor do i ever want anyone to call me that or compare me to anyone but shit the only thing i admit is a better character in me is that I've stopped judging everything and everyone around. if i don't like a person, it's my personal problem like shit i don't have to make an announcement to everyone about it. i truly hope that some people notice that in me bc i actually did work for it to get out of me. I'm glad i found my own style and my own thoughts and that I've stopped caring what others want me to be. idk why am i even typing this all out but from the bottom of my heart i can truly say that i love the new me, i WILL keep improving but I'm so proud of myself for even getting here and setting a new state of mind for the future. I'm not better than anyone yet again but i am me. and that's what makes me stand out. I'm happy with myself and i hope one day people will sit down for a week straight and teach themselves good. I've yet only noticed how much it not only changes a person, but eventually everyone around them and then the world. i hope i can lead people to be better internally and outerly (if that's even a word but yk what i mean) there's so much positivity in the world we've yet to use and spread. it gets better.
EDIT: this was from my notes not a while ago and i just wanted to share it in general even if i don't have a big following platform on here. i hope anyone takes at least 2 mins to read it and that they, as mentioned, give themself a week or just a few days to reflect on themselves to become better for themselves and for the world :)
Thank you for your attention.

Welp. There went my plans for today.
Until now, I’ve deliberately avoided bringing any negativity here because it’s not the energy I want to contribute to this space. It’s not good for anyone or my mental health. However, it brings me no pleasure to say that it’s one of those days where I have to make an exception to this rule.
News of Cursed’s cancellation doesn’t come as a surprise after months of radio silence, but the disappointment still stings nevertheless. Announcing it a week before the anniversary of the show’s premiere feels like a deliberate punch to the gut. Even worse, they haven’t the spine nor the decency to break it to us directly, using third-party news outlets as their mouthpiece.
Shows get canceled all the time for a variety of reasons. What gets me, though, is the utter lack of professionalism on Netflix’s side with the fate of Cursed. Instead of leaving everyone in the dark for a year, they should have been more transparent about their intentions from the outset and managing fan expectations. Even a bare-minimum, generically-worded statement would have been more acceptable than this. It shouldn’t be this hard.
Cursed had a rocky start, NGL. Around this time last year, the show met mixed reception between critics and viewers alike. I, too, was a bit underwhelmed with its execution until the latter half of its runtime. For all its apparent flaws, those who could look past Cursed’s initial detractors could see its potential. Myself included.
But barring premature knee-jerk reactions, its promising numbers in terms of viewership as well as fan engagement only make this whole situation all the more baffling. If I didn’t know better, I would say it was all one elaborate marketing scam.
It’s a shame that Netflix cannot understand the value of one of its properties beyond superficial statistics. This PR mess reflects badly on them as a brand because it shows a complete disregard for creatives and their audience by breaking our trust. The creators, the cast & crew, and the fans who invested so much into the show deserve better than this.
In the end, we ask ourselves, what was it all for Netflix???
Honestly, the only reason why I’m not saying that this was a complete waste of our time is the fandom. The fan-created/fan-related content that’s come from this community alone has made this journey worthwhile. I intend to help continue that precedent.
^That’s not even including how the show has led me to discover (and sometimes rediscover) things outside of it.
I may not cancel my subscription today, but Netflix shouldn’t be surprised when subscribers move on to a better streaming platform in the future.

Fave 2021 national finals songs
Since I don't have anything better to do with my life at the moment I decided to ramble about stuff. Okay, here are my thoughts about my fave songs from the national finals of 2021, in no particular order!
Norsk Melodi Grand Prix
• Monument was my absolute favourite and I still can't believe to this day that it didn't win :( Keiino are fking fantastic and they killed the stage (though I kind of preffered the black outfits from the 1st heat over the final ones, they suited the song's athmosphere better). I cried real tears when I saw they lost, for real. Heartbreak 💔
• Hero was such a nice throwback to 80s music style, the staging was also really neat. Would love to see Raylee come back next year in the selection, she has a cool stage presence
• Okay but Vi er Norge was a banger and I'm still listening to this one, a real shame it didn't even qualify nor win the 2nd chance round. As you already knew before, I have a weakness for violins because yes. The performance was so energetic and fun, should have def qualified. Underrated.
• Ut av mørket/Fallen angel was really good too. I wanted it to be kept in norwegian for esc but oh well. The stage show was just a tad messy but memorable.
• I can't escape was something I'd hear from Roxen ngl, the style matches her perfectly, even her cursive singing, everything. Either way I loved this one too, this song feels like a hug.
• Pages was so magical, I'm glad we got another joik song, sadly this didn't qualify 😥
• World on fire was kind of generic but puts me in a good mood everytime I listen to it, it's really catchy.
• Let loose is so g r o o v y and cool, it was my fave from the 1st heat when I got to listen to the songs. I'm lowkey happy it advanced to the final instead of Elevate, I'm sorry but I saw everyone praising that one in youtube comments, I never saw the hype, it was too regular and plain for me.
• Own yourself was so cute and funky, loved how it showed her ethnic background a lil with that disco sound.
• Witch woods...ehhh...While it's funny and unique, I think it's suited more for a witch Disney musical than Eurovision. But I like it anyway.
• Faith Bloody Faith oh yes I needed a rock song in this nf. Relieved it won the 2nd chance. Oh and I just realized, the superfinalists in mgp were literally the ones from the 1st heat. Crazy huh?
• Nordlyset is something I'd listen to near a fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate in hands watching the snow fall in my cottage located in a forest far away from civillization. So soothing and beautiful <3
• Eyes wide open was epic just like his 2020 viking schlager song (i prefer his 2020 song over this one but that's another story)
Melodifestivalen
• Little tot was amazing but def not as good as Bulletproof. It's still catchy asf and one of my favs from this selection.
• Dandi Dansa aka a banger, again another catchy song.
• Every minute sounds like a summer hit, it's awesome. It's also the spawner of all those haha eric on a kitchen tile memes I've seen around during that time.
• The world and especially Sweden wasn't ready for the masterpiece called Rena Rama Ding Dong. They should tone down their preference for safe pop songs and choose meme worthy songs like this one in the future tbh. They didn't even qualify, Sweden = coward.
• One Touch is a fun club track, I can see this as a summer hit as well. But her stage show...go girl give us nothing
• In the middle, once again The Mamas delivered.
• And finally Voices, which its nf staging was superior to the esc one. We are so sorry Tusse 😔
Festivali i Këngës
• Zjarri Im a total banger, it wasn't even in the top 5 ffs Era Rusi queen.
• Njësoj has such a nice party vibe, should have qualified.
• Haven't paid any attention to Karma until it won, then I said hey this isn't so bad, it's traditional and ethnic, I can actually see Albania in the final with this.
Dora
• Rijeka was the only one I thought it will win by a landslide and I was surprised it didn't. The staging was a bit too over the top, though
• Tick Tock grew on me after it won and quickly became one of my faves of this year's esc. I'm still sad it didn't qualify 😔
• She's like a dream is super uplifting and also sounds like an 80s song.
• Colors is something I heard a million times before but for some reason I'm jamming to this? Also I heard she's blind, is it true?
Eesti Laul
• Took me a while to have a fave from this nf but after some listens Magus Melanhoolia stole my heart 🧡 it's so different from the others and the staging looked so proffesional.
• Lost in a dance had me d a n c i n, I noticed we had a lot of 80s throwbacks in this nf season, this included. The live was so dissapointing though 😔
• Not so keen on 6 at first but now I absolutely love it, she has such a nice style and the song's athmosphere is so magical.
• Time was amazing, surprised it came 2nd!
• I actually liked The lucky one lmao, I found it much better than his previous entry.
• Heaven's not that far tonight was the party 80s bop we didn't knew we needed
Dansk Melodi Grand Prix
• Probably my biggest letdown of this nf season but I actually managed to like Står lige her, digging the electro 80s (again) sound
• I also liked Øve os på hinanden as well, this one really feels like a legit 80s track rather than a throwback.
• Silver Bullet was interesting as well, it was the early frontrunner when the songs first came out from what I remember.
Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu
• I love you is so wacky and catchy, and in finnish! I'd hear this as a soundtrack in an old video game.
• Dark Side was the definite winner ever since I heard it, and they even got a top 10 finish for Finland for the first time in years! Couldn't be more proud 😭
• Hurt was also one of my favs, Aksel needs to come back to esc, maybe in 2022 methinks 🤔
• Wait what is Laura Põldvere, an estonian singer tm doing in finnish nf? While I liked Play, I knew it wasn't strong enough to win, and she even came last. Do you get any flashbacks from another estonian entry with the same name that came last? 👀
C'est vous qui decidez
• Voila was the clear winner and that's about it, she deserved the win, it's just too beautiful for this world 😭
• Alleluia was an interesting sound of afrobeat, too bad their chances were killed because of messy staging :(
• Amour fou was so catchy and I loved the horse head thing lmao
Pabandom iš naujo
• Discoteque all day any day. The Roop world domination 💛
• Where'd you wanna go is so calming. I listen to this when I'm stressed and it works wonders, this was really beautiful.
• Open is so unique and soothing, a total contrast from her 2014 entry.
• Never fall for you again is a total earworm, even now as I'm writing this...even if I haven't listened to it since February.
Sanremo
• Zitti e Buoni was my instant fave, it simply stood out from the others by a lot.
Festival da Canção
• Por um triz is a beautiful ballad, was my fave.
• Saudade was the early favourite, reminds me of Telemoveis with its weird but artsy style.
Israel NF
• ...I really only liked Set me free tbh.
• La la love had a good potential but I can't not cringe at the corona reference like...ugh. Such a fun party song killed by one lyric, such a shame.
Russia's NF
• Just Russian Woman was the only one who deserved to win.
Spain's NF
• Yeah, they were both good but I liked Voy a Quedarme more.

is there a ship that you used to ship, but don’t anymore?
what’s a ship you like that most people don’t?
what’s a ship you hate that most people like?
(For any ygo ship i’m curious .-.)
@genlirema
ship asks [Accepting, thank you for the ask!]
is there a ship that you used to ship, but don’t anymore?
I’m answering these with Duel monsters’ serie, since I have yeat to watch the others c’:
Puzzleshipping - Yugi/Atem is the first thing that comes to my mind, tbh! When I first got into the ygo scene last year, I liked a lot the idea of this ship. Nowadays, I’m very indifferent towards it. I just prefer the picture of these two as very good friends c’: I feel like romance here, cheapens out their experiences/stories. I also found other ships that just, please me a lot more for them.
Mizushipping - Priest Seto/Kisara. Let me reiterate, I still haven’t read the manga and I’m well aware how different the memory world arcs can be. And I’m also aware how the poor author was pushed into a time crush, to hurry up and finish the series (thanks KonAmI). But may I ask, what the fuck is up with priest Seto’s creepy ass obsession with pooR KISARA?? NGL the few things I’ve seen with him from the manga, kinda of stained a ship that I’m mostly neutral about (in fact, I still enjoy some bits of these two). It hasn’t ruined the whole ship to me, but c’‘‘: Let’s look away from the manga.
what’s a ship you like that most people don’t?
Hi welcome to Vani’s rareship hellhoLES, you’ll never leave them c’:. I feel like they aren’t exactly disliked... Rather, they simply go unnoticed- pushed aside for the big and popular ones. Which is a shame because, I feel like there are some hidden gems there. So here are a handful that I got:
Headdresshipping - priest Seto/Mahad Mastershipping - Seto Kaiba/Ryuji Otogi Trustshipping - Ishizu Ishtar/Seto Kaiba. Although, I heard somewhere this is surprisingly very popular in Japan. Moneyshipping - Seto Kaiba selfcest ?shipping - Critias/priest Seto Historychannelshipping - Seto C Rosenkreuz/priest Seto (can u tell how I kickstartedthisoneplzsupPORT) Cubeshipping - Diva(or Aigami)/Seto Kaiba
what’s a ship you hate that most people like?
oH bOY HERE WE GO, unleash the salt c’:
Puppy/violetshipping - Jounouchi/Seto Kaiba. I really tried to be open-minded about this ship but... Man, it just ended up falling flat in my eyes TBH. I don’t see their chemistry... At all. I get it, they have a lot of similarities between them and also there are so many metas talking about how Jou is a great foil to Kaiba’s character. But IMO, it doesn’t contribute nor serves to add up to anything. I just feel like, there are so many better options for both of them. Corruptshipping - Thief king Bakura/priest Seto. Okay so firstly, I never cared about or even liked Bakura within DM. In season 0 he is fine, and IDK about the manga. So I was already going in skeptical about it, then I had some bad experiences with shippers which essentially killed this for me. Any and all versions of Bakura (Ryou, Yami and thief King) with Atem or Yugi. - So about these ones. It is a combination of my lack of interest on the Bakuras, on top of some content for these ships that pretty made it clear to me how they just wouldn’t be my cup of tea. I’m not here to virtue signal, judge or even tell people how they should or shouldn’t like their ships. But I’d rather avoid content that glorifies, fetishizes and romanticizes serious subjects such as kidnapping/rape/etc. I’m not saying that’s all these ships have going for them, and maybe I was just unlucky but that’s pretty much the only things I could find for them. So, yknow- kinda of killed those ships for me bruh.

I tried rewriting the Afterlost/Shoumetsu Toshi anime
Background: Madhouse made an anime from a mobile game with the best story out of any gacha game I have ever played, and fucking botched it. So I tried to see if I could do it better.
Tumblr media
You don’t need to have seen Shoumetsu Toshi to read this post.  However I do recommend reading this article concurrently with my summary of episodes on twitter.
So, the Shoumetsu Toshi anime was announced during the game’s fifth anniversary, and aired in April 2019. It was both exciting and terrifying because Shoumetsu Toshi is a seriously underrated game with a mindblowing story, but given the track record of game-to-anime adaptations, everyone was sceptical about it. And that scepticism ended up being justified.
In summary (my opinion): the anime itself started out half-decent, shot itself in the foot three episodes in, staggered back up for another two or three episodes, fell flat on its face directly after, and then just kept on falling from episode 8 onwards.
While watching said anime, I realised there were very minor things I could do to improve the flow, such as changing the order of episodes, or introducing certain characters later. After a while I came up with a new alternate anime structure (see tldr on twitter). This post will be the accompanying commentary explaining the decisions I made.
My aim for this exercise was to stick as close as possible to the main message and tone of the original anime. Honestly though, if I were rewriting the anime from scratch, I would have taken a different approach entirely (because I don’t agree with the message or the tone of what we got, but that’s a story for another post).
I have tried to make sure you don’t need to watch the anime to understand this post (it would be my last wish to force anyone to watch it). That said, I may make reference to the (far superior) source material, the Shoumetsu Toshi game. I have tried to keep the general commentary in the main body, with more specific detail in the side notes at the end of each episode break-down.
Ok, here goes.
Episode 1 Lost/Lost
The role of the first episode is to establish the characters and setting. The main idea of this episode should be to introduce Lost as mysterious and frightening, and why the main characters need to go there.
As a whole, I think the original anime does do this. It starts off with an overview of the situation (courtesy of Yuki’s monologue), and then gives us some action. Characters are introduced, the mystery starts to reveal itself, and then we end on a cliffhanger. I personally don’t feel a need to change that structurally.
I do however feel the need to switch up the order and amount of introduced characters in this episode. Our brains can only hold so much information in one episode and this episode probably exceeded that capacity and then some.
Instead of Eiji and Kikyou saving them, I suggest having Takuya take Yuki to Geek’s first. Geek can provide a simple man’s explanation of the tragedy of Lost, using his favourite idol group SPR5 as an illustrative example.
This means we will not be met with completely new information when the much heavier exposition from Kikyou and Eiji comes later. Because instead of brand new information, most of it will be filling in the gaps from what Geek told us. And that is much less headache-inducing than the chaos of the original episode 1.
This also means the cliffhanger of the first episode becomes Yuki finding out her father is possibly alive (instead of us wondering if Takuya is still alive…). This is admittedly not as dramatic nor as shocking as the cliffhanger of the original anime. However I went with this because I don’t think an audience going in blind would have been able to handle any more new information right after what Kikyou and Eiji did to us. Also, I don’t think many people would fall for the main character dying in the very first episode...
Side notes:
The original episode 1 started with Yuki’s monologue. I liked that it invoked interest while telling a story succinctly. So I would keep it. I would also keep the scene where Takuya busts Yuki out by throwing a fire extinguisher and jumping out the window because ngl, that was badass.
Tumblr media
I think the original anime built up too much goodwill in Takuya in the first two episodes. By episode 2, Yuki basically completely trusts him, but I think it would be more fitting if Takuya had to ‘earn’ that goodwill gradually. Note that in my version of episode 1, none of the conflicts between Takuya and Yuki are resolved. For example, in the original anime, Takuya tells Yuki even if she doesn’t trust him, she has to trust her dad. What a good-guy thing to say. That doesn’t happen in my version. The aim of that is to create a constant feeling of unease and tension. Because this early on, none of us should be sure if Yuki can really trust anyone around her. She’s just forced to follow them to find her father.
You may have noticed I’ve removed Rou (flying monk dude) entirely from my version of the anime. I’m not hating on Rou, but I really don’t think he was useful. In fact, he just made people more confused. I would much rather prefer Suzumebachi appear in both episodes, with the fight not even happening until the second. I made this decision with three reasons in mind: 1. It sets up the expectation in the audience for more action in later episodes, encouraging them to keep watching to see the resolution; 2. It makes Suzumebachi seem like a more threatening opponent, thereby upping the tension; and 3. There is one less character we have to introduce (Akira), meaning he’ll really shine and leave an impact when we do the big reveal
Honestly, I would also remove fortune teller Kazuko. That’s a cameo nobody asked for, and it felt kind of forced. Though there’s also no harm in keeping her in.
On the other hand I have deliberately chosen to delay introducing Yumiko and Kouta. Like I said, there are already too many characters in this first episode. The result of this, though, is that my ending deviates quite a lot from the original episode 1 ending. But I think that’s fine. This is only episode 1, we don’t have to end with drama. I think it’s more important to get the main themes across (the episode is titled ‘Lost’, so let’s make that the focus until the very end ok).
Episode 2: Sacrifice/Sacrifice
Episode 1 should be somewhat dramatic and action-packed to hook our audience in. But then episode 2 should provide them with more information about the setting. I think the anime made a bad move by pulling a plot twist at the end of episode 1 and then immediately rectifying it in episode 2. It feels cheap and undermining. And a waste of time.
So I chose to avoid the whole thing with Yumiko and Kouta saving Takuya. Instead I get Eiji and Kikyou to send them straight into hiding. I think it is more fitting if, directly following from episode 1, this episode starts off focusing on Yuki’s feelings about her family. This provides some much-needed context, and makes her values clear from the beginning, as she starts thinking about whether it is worth going to Lost to find her father.
Now we can start introducing some new characters. Honestly though, in the grand scheme of things, Yumiko and Kouta serve the exact same purpose as Eiji and Kikyou in the narrative. Which is a shame, because I think just their connection to the organisation opens up a whole heap of possibilities. Therefore, if I am going to include them I should take advantage of that connection. In my version of the anime I make them privy to certain information about Lost. This would make sense because the organisation they used to work for was all about getting Taiyou to Lost to complete the Noah Plan. By making that special information only Yumiko and Kouta know, I make them important to the plot.
I can further leverage their connection to the enemy to arouse suspicion in them, because Takuya and Yuki wound up in an ambush with Suzumebachi following their instructions. But that’s a minor conflict that can easily be resolved and is honestly not that important.
What is important, is that being ambushed by Suzumebachi means I can finally show off  tamashii Akira! The fight will basically play out like the original episode 1, only with Suzumebachi instead of Rou. After the fight, I envision the scene to play out similar to the end of the original episode 3, with Souma appearing before them.
Side notes:
In the original anime episode 2, Yuki talks to Takuya when he shares bread with her on the roof. They talk about Akira, which is fair enough. However in my version they don’t even know about Akira at this point. They have nothing in common to bond over. Also, Yuki is still distrustful of him. This more closely mirrors the game, where both of them were more closed off. But I think it makes sense to be wary of a stranger you just met, let alone one who just called you a fucking package.
That said, we can hint at some development through symbolism. Yuki starts off thinking about her family all by herself. But then Takuya comes. And even if they get nowhere in their conversation, physically at least, Yuki is no longer alone.
The true reason Yumiko betrays the organisation is simply that she likes Takuya. But she can’t just tell him that directly. That’s one of the reasons the anime uses Suzuna in episode 2. I have Kouta take that role here. I also wanted Yumiko’s attraction to Takuya to be more subtle than her straight up telling Suzuna she likes him. There’s a bit of dramatic irony there because Takuya would still be suspicious of her, but the audience should be able to tell her true reason for helping is actually quite pure.
Akira is actually a symbol of hope for Yuki. He is a remnant of her old life. But as is the case in the tragic storyline of Shoumetsu Toshi, whenever we see hope, we must destroy it in the most ironic way possible. Here, it is the appearance of the other person from her old life, her brother Souma.
Episode 3: Memory/Suspicion
The original anime pulled a really, really bad move here, by throwing in a monster of the week-style episode while its setting was still developing. This is confusing and distracting. But the biggest reason I chose to delay the SPR5 episode to episode 4 is because Yuki’s character development in the original episode 3 was too great, as to almost make no sense.
Therefore, I use episode 3 instead as a stepping stone to get Yuki to learn to trust the people around her. Once she can resolve her own insecurities, then it makes more sense for her to be able to fix other people’s problems.
My version of episode 3 is more similar to the anime’s original episode 4, which introduced Ryouko. After being betrayed by her remaining family member, a traumatised Yuki is finally introduced to somebody she thinks she can actually trust. But Eiji and the others warn Yuki she must not tell Ryouko anything. That said, Ryouko proves to be a good person, who even helps with some of Yuki’s troubles.
Tumblr media
Introducing Ryouko also introduces the investigative element of the anime, which emphasises the Lost mystery, but is also honestly a breath of fresh air from the doom and gloom on Yuki’s side. A benefit of seeing the police’s perspective is that they are just as clueless as the audience. So it is much easier to follow their train of thought (compared to the other group led by Eiji and Kikyou).
So, with three episodes done, the audience should now have a good idea of what they are getting themselves into. We’ve got the characters, the setting, and a couple of mysteries set up. All that’s left is to deliver on them (which is easier said than done).
Side notes:
Honestly, writing up this first encounter with Suzuna and Souma was harder than I expected. The problem is that Souma is too powerful to be deterred by anyone, especially not the police. I have to come up with some reason to force him out of the picture. I decided to use Suzuna for a couple of reasons. It gives the audience a good sense of her foresight powers. But also, maybe it could indicate Suzuna has another motive? I had thought as far as using Taiyou as Suzuna’s excuse: Souma did not inform Taiyou he was going off on his own. If he does anything unnecessary he could get into trouble. This also effortlessly allows me to foreshadow the final boss.
Yuki is a very introspective character, meaning she thinks to herself a lot but rarely shows it. Which is why having a character like Ryouko spell out things for the audience can be helpful.
Importantly, Yuki does not reveal everything to Ryouko just yet, even though she really wants to. This ups the tension, but importantly, it also means Ryouko can stick around a little longer! So we (and Yuki) get some time to get attached to her.
Ryouko’s thought process right now would be: she thinks the group is suspicious, but needs more evidence to back her gut feeling. So she does the background check, leading to Kaibara where we can hint at Takuya’s connection to Yoshiaki and start setting up the Kaitodan arc.
Episode 4: Suspicion/Memory
With the main plot finally set up, I am now comfortable to slip in the SPR5 episode. Surprisingly, I actually did not mind the episode as much as I thought I would.
My biggest recommendation for this episode would be to drop the entire Seiji/Shoumetsu subplot altogether. It is just too confusing with all the other information in the episode. And with Seiji dying eventually, in the grand scheme of things it means nothing. The main aim of this episode should be to focus on what tamashii really are and what they can do. Dropping Seiji also means Takuya doesn’t have to disappear during Yuki’s character development (?) during her moment with Yua. I would really like to use this episode to hint more at Takuya’s regret, and do some more solid foreshadowing of the orphanage arc. This then leads in nicely to the sudden phone call from Yumiko I have inserted at the end of this episode to set up the next.
Episode 5: Affection/Affection
Just like the anime, my versions of episodes 5 and 6 focus on the Kaitodan. However, I make some pretty big changes. While I did really enjoy the execution of the original episode 5 (which was my favourite episode of the whole series), the whole ‘heist’ made no sense to me. Kaitodan didn’t even enter the building past the roof. The only real merit of the original setting is the clock tower, which is an Easter egg referencing Tsubasa and Yoshiaki’s reunion in the actual game.
So I decided to switch up the tone entirely, by having Takuya and Yuki meet Yoshiaki in a family restaurant (family being the key word). Again, admittedly not as dramatic as the original, but this saves a lot more time.
Something I think the anime really should have done was foreshadow Tsubasa better. He has deep ties to Takuya, but episode 5 is the first time we hear about him. I opted to foreshadow him in episode 3 (through Yumiko’s memories), and episode 2 (being used by Souma). This should make it easier for the audience to piece the puzzle together with Yuki.
My drama for this scene comes in the form of an actual kidnapping. By separating Takuya and Yuki, we get a glimpse into how each thinks of the other. It’s also great that Rui canonically flirts with Yuki so I want to see that. I also really want to show the family dynamic of the Kaitodan, for three reasons. 1. As a contrast with Yuki to emphasise the loss she feels in losing her own family; 2. The irony that Yoshiaki will join this family as a result of losing his own, and to know he will be in good hands; and 3. Kaitodan’s quirky personalities are the most lovable thing about them and we need to see more of it.
Side notes:
Yoshiaki’s power reveal having a purpose to the plot would be so much cooler than him just randomly making an owl feather disappear. I decided to show said power in the midst of a dramatic car chase scene. Because why not.
I gave quite a lot of thought into how Kaitodan could secretly track down Takuya and Yuki, and it goes like this: Kana bugged Yumiko, because Kaitodan know the organisation had something to do with Tsubasa disappearing. I envision it happening the night Yumiko left the organisation. Once Yumiko escapes far enough to be safe, she would feel a sense of relief. But her guard would also lower. Kana has been tracking Yumiko ever since, waiting for a clue. This means the Kaitodan heard Yumiko’s call with Kaibara and know Tsubasa is involved. But they couldn’t make a move on Yoshiaki directly because they were aware he was being surveilled. So they followed Takuya and Yuki via Yumiko, and waited for their chance. Also, because it was Yumiko they bugged, they don’t get to know the contents of Takuya and Yuki’s meeting with Yoshiaki. This is all implied in my version of the anime, but none of it is important. It is just a check I did to make sure everything made logical sense.
I went as far as making up a scene to show some Kaitodan interaction. But including that in the episode summary is probably too much detail, so I will indulge myself in these side notes:
The Kaitodan notice Takuya chasing them. Jack tells Yuki that her “lover boy” is here. Yuki gets flustered and says he’s only coming after her because of their contract.
Rui doesn’t understand what Yuki sees in an uncouth guy like Takuya. He talks about a time Takuya used some pretty underhanded methods to catch them. They managed to escape by the skin of their necks by Jack throwing an up-close bomb. Kana laughs remembering how the bomb totally ruined Rui’s clothes. Rui then gets angry at Jack because that was a new suit. Sumire tries to break (i.e. cut) them apart with her chainsaw, causing chaos as Kana continues laughing hysterically.
Yuki looks on this with a small smile, thinking the Kaitodan aren’t such a bad bunch.
Tumblr media
Episode 6: Parting Ways/Choice
The anime concludes the Kaitodan arc in this episode, but I’d like to keep them for a little longer. I reserve the fighting for a later episode, and instead, I make this episode quite information heavy. The aim of all this is to lead into the orphanage arc. I did not like that Takuya went off to resolve his own regrets without Yuki in the original anime. However it makes no sense to have him make Yuki tag along with him to something unrelated to their contract. My solution to this is to give Yuki more agency, and the mind to make her own decision.
I intend for a couple of truth bombs to come out here: the organisation does human experimentation; Daichi works for the organisation; the organisation has a base in Lacuna; and Yuki and Takuya will die if they go to Lost. The anime left a lot of these reveals until the end, but I don’t think they are truly that important to warrant that. Having Yuki know these things now, and make a decision despite that, helps build her character more (so we can pull all her confidence down later).
Side notes:
Having Eiji reveal the truth puts both suspicion and trust in him. If he was working for Daichi, that means he was also working for the organisation. However, if what he says is the truth, the reason he reveals this information is because of his guilty conscience. To make sure he comes off as sincere, his guilt should be foreshadowed in earlier episodes.
I wonder, if Lacuna really did end up being the final boss, would that mean Yuki would not need to go to Lost anymore? If Yuki were able to save Souma and return him to ‘normal’ would she be satisfied with never seeing her father again? Or was she hoping Souma could join them on their journey to Lost as well? Honestly, not even I know what Yuki was thinking. All I know is that the anime built up Lacuna as a fake ‘last boss’ (spoiler: it’s not), so I will too.
Episode 7: Regret/Regret
Like the anime again, I make episode 7 the orphanage arc. Unlike the anime, I also combine it with Tsubasa’s arc. The key to making this work is to progress both, but put the focus on only one of the storylines. For episode 7, the orphanage will be the focus, while I leave Tsubasa for episode 8.
The anime originally put the focus of this episode on solving the mystery and finding the link between Lacuna and the orphanage. However, because of how I set things up in episode 6, our characters’ main goal is actually to find clues to the Iink between Souma and Tsubasa. I want the focus on the orphanage side to be entirely about Takuya’s character development, and how Yuki looks over that development. The real plot actually happens on the Kaitodan side. Naturally, Takuya and Yuki will eventually join the fray but I think, for the purpose of the final message of the anime, it is important to show that things can still happen without Takuya and Yuki.
Side notes:
I want Ayano to have more screentime, so I am making her lead them to Hinako. Ayano thus acts as a facilitator, rather than an observer. Also, I plan to make her shuumeigiku an AF (because AF were built up as some really important thing in the original but were not even used in the final battle).
Having the episode end on a cliffhanger means the main characters (and hopefully the audience too) won’t have time to ponder the shuumeigiku, nor the birdhouse for now. This is intentional.
Episode 8: Choice/Parting Ways
In the original anime, episode 8 is the Lacuna break-in episode. But it’s still too early for that. My episode 8 wraps up the Kaitodan arc.
We've had some time to get to know the Kaitodan members so I want this episode to be their moment to shine. First off, putting the Kaitodan flashback at the start of the episode, instead of in the middle of a fight (like what episode 6 of the original did) makes it feel less hasty. I also use this opportunity to insert some more Kaitodan shenanigans through flashback. This episode focuses on the bonds they have with Tsubasa, and the pain of losing that bond. So to make that emotional impact really hit, I have to utilise the flashback effectively.
Tumblr media
Other than that, I guess the fight will progress similarly to episode 6 of the original, just in a different setting.
Side notes:
Having Yoshiaki and Tsubasa’s confrontation in the middle of what was once the lab both were experimented on as children has symbolic significance, especially because AF are the key to the battle.
I avoided the whole flashback around Tsubasa slashing Tsuki/the organisation hacking Yoshiaki’s twitter to lure Tsubasa into a trap. Because I think this episode already has more than enough flashbacks. I want to try to avoid overuse of flashbacks because they tend to ruin the immersion and pacing of an episode. If I really had to insert it somewhere though, it would be during an exposition by Souma when he calls Tsubasa weak.
I tried to make Sumire and Kana’s roles more relevant. I am not sure if it worked.
Tumblr media
You think the title of this episode refers to Yoshiaki and Tsubasa parting ways, but did you expect Ryouko would also actually die? This is (I hope), an unexpected death, and I want the audience to feel almost just as devastated as Yuki does. Ryouko’s stuck around for a while now, so killing her off should have some sort of impact.
The ending of my version of this episode is a direct copy of the Tsuki Taiyou scene from episode 10 of the original. Placing it here is a set up for what I have planned in my version of the Lacuna break-in. But alternatively, it could also be placed at the end of my version of episode 6, because that is the episode we learn more about the heads of the organisation.
Episode 9: Fate/Fate
The original anime made this entire episode a flashback. And I hate that. Because I hate flashbacks. And using one for an entire episode just seems like lazy writing. I will address the whole thing with Daichi in my own way in a later episode, but for now I’ve got to do the break-in.
So, in a nutshell, I was very unsatisfied with how the anime handled the break-in. It was anticlimactic, and the real conflict (with Souma) happened nowhere near Lacuna. I understand the need for futility, but having nothing accomplished at all in the grand scheme of things is also doing a disservice to your audience. Because it’s wasting time if it’s not progressing the story or characters.
Essentially, I want my version of this episode to deliver the same information as the original anime episode 9 (flashback), but with about 70% more action and 99% less flashback.
As I mentioned before, Lacuna was built up like a climactic boss battle so I am going to treat it like one. This is also a chance to foreshadow Taiyou’s powers that exhibit symptoms of Lost. and a chance for Suzuna to show off more of how formidable her powers can be.
I’ve put Tsuki as the miniboss because mate, she’s perfect. Why wouldn’t I? The anime seriously missed a golden opportunity. Tsuki is actually a really good character to fight against because she stands for a lot. She is obviously on Taiyou’s side, but in a tragic way. Despite being betrayed by him, she still stands by him, and will sacrifice herself even after he turned her into a monster. This is exactly what makes her fascinating. She brings moral greyness to an otherwise black and white fight against Taiyou. It’s also a chance to show that Akira is becoming more powerful, and Yuki feels more confident in herself.
That said, the end of this episode is a direct test of Yuki’s character development, because she’s been put in the exact same situation she was in at the start of the anime. This is her chance to fix that regret that’s been haunting her the whole time. And now she has Akira by her side, she can be brave enough to move forward. Little does she know, what lies beyond the door is really going to test her limits…
Side notes:
Yuki being a product of two worlds was surprising, but i feel the impact is stronger if she gets told that directly by Taiyou, rather than the audience seeing it through a flashback. It adds more tension, especially as Taiyou gets away.
In my version of the anime, it is entirely possible for Takuya and Yuki to not even be aware Tsuki was once human (but the audience does know). I can play up the dramatic irony, by having Tsuki voice her thoughts. Yuki might get the feeling: this monster is completely loyal to Taiyou. Is she his pet?

On the other hand, if I choose to have Tsuki present herself as human-turned-monster, this gives an opportunity for her to explain there is good in following the Noah plan: it will save a lot of people. Going with this version should involve suggesting that Tsuki at least genuinely does want to save the people on her side. Maybe she has a child?
The Noah plan is important for understanding Taiyou’s motives. But honestly it is not that important for the audience to know all the details. Which is why I want Takuya to be the one to see it. He’ll trivialise it, because he knows what’s really important is what’s happening for him now. And really, Noah is just trivia/fan service for the audience in this anime, seeing as there is barely any moral ambiguity in Taiyou anyway.
Episode 10: Decision/Decision
This is the Souma episode. Despite the very different build up, the events in my version aren’t that different from the anime.
I thought the lab would be an appropriate final confrontation setting. It symbolises Souma’s desire for power which ultimately led to his current downfall. But he wanted that power to protect Yuki. Which should resonate with Akira. And that is why he is also there.
Akira needed more screen time in the anime. He is not just a weapon; tamashii are not tools. He is Yuki’s protector, and his very presence as a tamashii implies his regret and desire around that.
This is simultaneously the grieving episode (original episode 10), which I’ve merged into the seaside scene. To really heighten the emotion, Yuki should have an outburst. Think about it, she’s been keeping everything bottled up inside her: her lab PTSD, the tragic fate of the orphans, and Ryouko. Losing her brother was the last straw. Showing vulnerability to Takuya is a sign she trusts him.
At the same moment Yuki loses one of the most important people in her life, Takuya gives her hope for the future. A bittersweet moment like this is really what the message of the anime should be about. Additionally the timing of this ray of hope means it is so much more important to Yuki to hold onto that image of happiness (and more impactful for the audience).
Takuya showing willingness to give up his contract is the ultimate sign this man cares for Yuki.
Side notes:
I feel like I packed a lot into this episode, but that’s because Souma’s death scene actually goes by very quickly, because neither side are putting up much of a fight? Both the original anime and my version have to rely on flashbacks to pad it out.
I foreshadowed Souma’s fate using Tsuki (both morphed into monsters).
Akira should also feel emotionally impacted by Souma’s death. Why does the anime make it seem like both Daichi and Akira show favouritism towards Yuki? Souma is also Daichi’s child, and he also saw Akira as a big brother.
I also think the flashbacks should show more of the three interacting together, instead of solely Yuki and Souma.
Souma gets some final character development by apologising to Akira before he dies.
At the seaside, Akira is also grieving. But he is full of guilt. He does not have the right to comfort Yuki.
Putting ourselves in Yuki’s shoes for a moment: the only two people left as a reminder of her previous ordinary life were her brother and her father. Now that Souma is gone, she is left with no choice but to go to Lost. Even if we ignore all the saving the world rhetoric, Yuki would still go just for personal reasons alone. Because what Yuki wants more than ever right now is the comfort of family. It’s an incredibly tragic situation. That’s why it is so important that Takuya shows a willingness to break his contract. He’s not just comforting her because he wants her to get over it and go to Lost so he can do his job. Knowing this allows Yuki to trust him, and show her vulnerable side.
This is the moment Yuki wishes things were different. If Takuya wasn’t here with her, she really might have reset the world like Daichi wanted her to.

Episode 11: Trust/Trust
My version of episode 11 is quite similar to the anime’s episode 11. Except I cut some NPC moments and massively extend the parallel world moment.
Suzuna and Taiyou’s scene plays out like in the anime. If possible, I’d like them to have some conversation in the sedan hinting that Taiyou has lost his way to his original altruistic goal.
I make the crux of this episode the parallel worlds within Lost. I thought that part was very cool in the original anime, but it just wasn’t impactful enough.
I want to use this as an opportunity for Yuki to see Daichi’s memory. Essentially, I want to condense the flashback episode (episode 9) in the original anime to its bare essentials. This is probably going to be challenging, but with a combination of visuals paired with efficient narration by Daichi, I think it is possible to make things move quicker.
Basically, I want Yuki to see the whole picture, to understand her father’s perspective, and despite that make her final decision. Yuki realises her father is from a parallel world and is trying to save a lot of people from another world. But even so she is conflicted about whether what she is doing is right.
I like that this allows a clear link to happiness at the end. Yuki resonates with Daichi’s own desire for happiness, causing her to remember the happy future she painted together with Takuya. This is a much clearer way of explaining how Takuya and Yuki managed to free themselves from the effects of Lost, while also emphasising their bond.
Side note:
I’d like to believe that even with a clear image of happiness in mind, a normal human like Takuya should not be able to escape Lost unscathed. I’d like to hint that the fact he is even able to function in this space is because of his bond with Yuki, a girl intricately connected to parallel worlds and thus more immune to their effects?

Episode 12: Future/Future
The last episode’s boss battle with Taiyou plays out largely like the original anime. But I think there is scope to have a lot more satisfying pay-offs.
Lost is how the tamashii came to be, so first off I would recommend there be more of them. Even Tsubasa, who disappeared, could possibly exist as a parallel world version of himself. That’s what Lost is about, after all.
It would be fitting if Taiyou also gets taken down by these other tamashii, including the orphans. This would be an appropriate approach to highlight the contrast between Taiyou (who is alone), and Takuya and Yuki (who are not). Additionally, I bring back the shuumeigiku, which means ‘to endure’, in order to emphasise the justice that was eventually served.
I wanted there to be less spotlight on Suzuna and more on Akira. After all, he is the one with the real meaningful connection to protecting Yuki. Therefore I have him deal the final blow after evolving. On top of being epic fanservice, the fact he is the only tamashii who evolves in the entire anime means there is narrative significance to it. It is the culmination of his bond with Yuki, and it is fitting that he can finally wield that power to protect her properly.

After the fight in the original anime, Daichi shows Yuki an alternate world without tragedy, an ideal world. However, importantly, this is a world where Yuki never interacts with Takuya, Geek, or any of the other people she’s met on her journey, and I think the anime could have done better to show that.
So my alternative is to have Yuki see those happy versions of Ryouko, Yoshiaki etc in the previous episode, while showing her own alternative life in this one. I really want to juxtapose the happiness she feels living an ordinary life with her family, against the missed opportunities to meet people like Ryouko and Takuya. This provides a lot more ambiguity to her choice, and we get to see the conflict playing out in her head in real time. By actually making it possible to follow her train of thought, the audience will be more likely to understand why she makes the decision she makes.
Finally, I choose to end my version of the anime with a monologue from Daichi as a homage to the game. But also, it seems appropriate because he is an observer, just like us. And as observers, who are we to judge the choices people make? I contrast Daichi’s message of hope to the somewhat less than ideal futures everyone leads in order to show the ambiguous ending I think the original anime was going for. Regardless of whether you end up better or worse, life moves on.
Side notes:
Yuki needs to show more emotion when she sees Daichi. Seriously.
I referenced the ending of the original anime (Yuki’s ideal house) in the ‘ideal’ world Daichi shows Yuki. I think the message the anime wanted to convey with that scene is that what we perceive to be true happiness may not really be that. And that’s kind of the vibe I’m going for in my ideal world scene, which is why I put it there instead of at the end.
Daichi should thank Akira. Holy fuck the poor guy’s been through so much with absolutely zero gratitude. He kept your daughter alive gdi
Ultimately the problem of Lost was never properly resolved? But the anime left it equally open-ended so I’m cool with that.
Finally, some overall points
I removed Keigo and Shunpei entirely from my version of the anime. Because they weren't needed. Keigo I can put back in (because he and Yuuji serve the same narrative purpose), but I don't want Shunpei. He was an original character created purely to betray Ryouko and then die. I have no need for a character like that. He could be Ryouko's assassinator I guess, but I would rather the sniper be a tamashii cameo like Wolf or something. Or nobody at all. Because the sniper as a character is not  important at all.
I removed all the deliberate food scenes because there was no scope to include them. It is one thing to claim you want to put more emphasis on food, but that should be second to creating an actually viable product.
And with that, this project is finally complete.
I admit I had high hopes for the anime, and it frustrates me that it turned out the way it did when there were so many simple things they could have done to make it less confusing.
That said, fixing something that has already been done is much easier than creating something entirely from scratch. And while everything may work on paper, translating that into practice with the actual production is a very different story. Therefore, despite how everything turned out, I still commend the production team for being able to make the anime a reality at all.
As I've mentioned before, it is not easy to make an engaging story fit in the span of just twelve episodes, let alone one adapted from an epic game featuring time travel and parallel worlds. But I wish they could have tried just a little bit harder, to be just a little bit more risky, to deliver a product we could actually enjoy.
Some of you may like my version of the anime better, some of you may not. A lot of my personal biases definitely showed through, and it was more challenging than I thought translating my ideas into writing. If I’ve confused you about anything, feel free to drop me a message.
