The party was so good!
Our loved ones came to support danny and I’s engagement and it was so wonderful. Everyone there just wanted to support us. Everyone brought something as a gift or some food for the party. I feel very seen and loved.
I have one regret from today. I wish I would have cooked our dinner differently. I know I won’t be so worried about this in the future, but the rice was hard to eat and the chicken wasn’t great. My teriyaki seemed watery and after adding cornstarch it didn’t get thicker. It wasn’t the best. But my family were nice and ate it anyway. They have had our cooking before so they know we aren’t bad cooks. We just had too much on our plates (not literally lol).
Pros:
Cheesecake was good (I hear, I still haven’t been able to eat it. I’m scared it won’t live up to what I am dreaming it to be).
Everyone got along. We had great conversations. We laughed together. We had our little jokes. My brothers and R got along so well. It was really a wonderful time.
My friends C and P brought over some food and gifts. They stayed a little bit longer and we got to debrief about the party.
Our pets are tuckered out from all the social interactions today. Fish, our dog, was so happy that everyone was there to give her attention. Our cats loved on everyone too.
Before family came over I had to clean the house hardcore. Danny and I were so so busy. Danny weeded the yard, I finished making a cheesecake, cleaned the whole house and hid the fact that we’re smokers pretty well even though they already know.
When I look back on our engagement party, I will remember the good conversations, the laughter and the warmth there. I will look at the picture we have together and remember how good it was to have mostly everyone I love there.
Danny’s family wasn’t able to make it to the party. His sister couldn’t make it, which I understand it’s out of her control. His parents are out of town. Even though the party was really great, my heart hurts for Danny. He cried a bit after the party was over because he wished his family would have prioritized him more. I want him to know he is loved and my family is his family. His family loves him and we will try to see them soon.
Now we are winding down for the night. We’re watching Howl’s Moving Castle and I’m cuddling with a new blanket. It’s been a good day.
Tomorrow is another social interaction day. A friend from out of town is visiting with her girlfriend. I’m looking forward to having fun with them and watching some movies.

scotland: edinburgh
The main event of the summer needs no introduction. Upscaling from last years trip to the south west, we ventured up North to sunny (mostly) Scotland! When the idea for this trip was in the oven, I was so excited as you and I had never really been despite how close it is. Once we'd planned it, I was even more excited as the activities we had lined up far surpassed anything we had done before. It brings me so much joy to recount this holiday, I hope I do it justice my dear.
The holiday itself kicked off with a very slow day at mine. This was such a sweet day filled with next to nothing apart from relaxing. It served a purpose; we got plenty of rest before a big day of travel. Speaking of, the travel day begun with an early rise and ride to the airport. We were horribly early having made it through secruity over two hours before our flight departed. Although we did manage to find a seat for two and snuggle up much to my enjoyment. Soon, our flight was announced and we trundled over to our gate for your first flight in over 3 years, which may have even been the highlight of your holiday judging by the way you reacted haha!
Once we'd landed in Edinburgh, we trammed our way to the city centre then set out in search for our apartment. The cozy flat would serve as our home base for the next 5 nights and, despite the terrible decor, it was perfect all things considered. A not-so-quick nap meant that we missed the sun, so out into the rain we headed with one umbrella between us. At this stage, our exploration was limited to the Royal Mile, Lidl (the 2 places we visited most often) and H&M. After Keith, out familial butler, had been purchased, we headed to Zizzi's for a 'free meal'. God those arrancini were so nice. On the way home for our first night, we had a very successful shop in Primark where a second umbrella and a new, more waterproof pair of shoes could be found. We then settled in for our first night.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On the second day, our adventure was ramped up a notch. We trekked to the outskirts of the city and climbed what may as well have been a mountain in Arthurs seat. A nourishment stop at the flat preceeded our guided tour of the eerie Edinburgh underground. Quite frankly, this tour was fantastic and genuinely creepy. I really enjoyed it and I'm so glad we did it. However, lest not forget what the real highlight of the day was. Oh. My. God. The food at Chaskaa was the best all holiday. In fact, it may well have been the best Indian I have ever had. I will never ever forget this meal, especially sine you looked so beautiful sat opposite me as well. On our way home, we made a brief stop in a bar for some (it pains to admit) really nice cocktails. Then onto bed it was for the fine young couple!

Thursday 8th September:
Dear Diary, today I woke up to an awful stench. My girlfriend's farts reeeeek and I simply cannot breathe. If someone, anyone finds this - get her, take her down. You know what she's done.
This would be my diary entry for this day if I kept a diary as your farts truly after the Indian.
Moving on though, Thursday was a day full of highs and lows. The Zenith of the day came in the form of our trip to the House of Illusions. Now I know this may sound uncultured, but this was actually so much fun and I'm not sure if anywhere else in Edinburgh could offer a similar experience. This was right up our street as everything they through at us we ate up completely. I have so many brilliant pictures of you all distorted or with funny filters that I can't even fit into this entry, so I hope the ones I've provided suffice. The categorical low of the day, maybe even my life, was the death of Her Majesty the Queen. We had joked about it for years but the day had finally come for one of us to receive the dreaded notification. In all seriousness this was super annoying as we did miss out on our trip to the castle. Although, that in itself is a reason to go back to Edinburgh. The news was received over a game of cards in a cafe. From there, we went home and had a chill night in with a pizza for a fiver.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm gonna go ahead and say that this next day was the 'Day of Surprises'. We didn't really have a lot planned and sort of just filled the itineray with any overhanging activities we felt we'd like to do. The first of these activities was paying our respects to poor Queenie at Hollyroodhouse palace - RIP. After a surprisingly delectable lunch at a Vietnamese place, we clambered up Carlton hill for some strange dino movie and some good views of the city. Then, we moped our way down into Deans village for some money shots along the river. I can tell you hated this experience thoroughly, but at least we got some good pics. Unfortunately, the surprise which came at dinner time was a bad one. The fajitas were so average but at least they were the exception to all the other delicious meals we had throughout the holiday. What followed our mexican disappointment was a jolly revitilisation of the night at a little underground bar in the New town. To be honest, I had no idea what to expect from this even though I had planned it without you, so it came as a surpise to the both of us. The drinks were really great and we even managed to grab ourselves some free alcoholic ice cream, what a deal!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Having missed the email letting us know that our tickets for the castle had been cancelled, the vast downside of the queen's passing was finally realised. The city was swarming with tourists and we had just woken up early for nothing? You were on edge, and I can't blame you. I do feel as if we made the most of this day despite this. In the morning, we visited the Natonal Museum of Scotland and wetted our appetite for natural history as per usual. For lunch, we tucked into a cheese, haggis, and red pepper pannani which was actually really good in my opinion. Having had some exra snacks at home, we then set off for the botanical gardens to the north of the city. Due to my out-of-character directinoal mishap, this was rather stressful, especially when we had to walk uphill to get back into the city. Now I know what you're thinking, hurry up and get to the good part. Ohhhhhhhhhh my was dinner superb on this day. We had tapas upon tapas upon tapas. Although it didn't surpass the food on the boat, it came close. With a battered mars bar in hand, me and my sweetheart returned home for the evening full of delicious grub.

I was very sad to say goodbye to Edinburgh, I had such an amazing time and I just didn't want to leave :( After we'd packed up and left the flat, most the day was spent loitering around a packed city. This included sitting in the National gallery, standing in the streets, missing out on a McDonald's, and all sorts of other miseries which lasted hours until the dreadful coffin sped down the Royal Mile. Even after that, we had to wait ages for ourdelayed train to Inverness which didn't ameleriote our situation. That being said, the day wasn't all doom and gloom. We had a fantastic lunch at the Pakora place which even superseded our high expectations! Also, once the train had finall arrived, the journey itself was easy and flew by. In Inverness, we stumbled to our apartment which was conveniently nearby, hence marking the end of the Edinburgh leg of the holiday.

Back on this dead but still very alive app
Tumblr media
So you’ve reached that point in life where things kinda went to crap the first half and now you just want to do anything to have a better time for the second half of the year? Then you decided to just go back to tumblr and write shit down like it’s a diary but you’re letting the world know everything and you’re kinda done hiding it too? Yup, that’s exactly how it might be for now since I’ve kinda got myself in a strange pickle of life.
I guess I’ll summarize it for now and share a longer post some other time. The first week of January, I got Covid (sometimes I just say I’m dying or just that I was covided), took two weeks to recover but I enjoyed that long break got to watch Encanto when it released and watched gamers play fnaf security breach. After that I had to work a lot to get back for all the time I missed and money I lost from being sick.
Sometime later my job wanted me to try the opportunity to be a supervisor for another department in our store and I put myself forward to try and did all that I could to get up but unfortunately I got rejected before getting interviewed. I was hoping this would help me financially for a while and also help me understand a whole new environment of work since I still don’t know much and very well suck at talking with older adults or at least anyone.
A week later from that, my girlfriend broke up with me and we still talked afterwards and stuff. In fact we were talking a lot still and just wanted to get better for ourselves. We broke up on good terms there. Then a month later she was considering to try again only for a month later, after a few days from my own birthday and a day after my mom left for a whole month, she broke my heart again but this time she was sure that we can’t go back cuz of her mistake. She had it easy, so easy because she knew I could forgive her. After that I stopped talking to her and things just weren’t so well for me but I couldn’t do anything because I have to do all the house shit with my sister because these adult men in the house don’t do shit and hate each other. Life was just a nightmare but I was full rage.
In the middle of that, I also lost my best friend due to her need to grow out of her friendship with me and many others because she’ll be going to college and she just was being an asshole about it all but basically I don’t and i don’t know if I have a best friend right now or any time soon. That’s another whole rant I could give.
Around mid June however, I was starting to do more things I haven’t done in so long. I went out with friends I haven’t seen in so long and miss dearly. I went two parties of my friend, it’s a family party so non of that wild adult parties. I drank for the first time at my boss’s house when he invited me along with supervisors and other higher ups to a cookout. I got to see someone I haven’t seen in a long time. I didn’t drink heavily since I’m still underage and never in my life have I drank anything that strong in my life since those strong medicines my parents used to give me. I made the famous Ratatouille dish and they loved it.
Some time after that I went out with another group of coworkers to a beach that was two hours away I think and it was fun. I almost died in the water but it was all good. This time I didn’t really hold back on drinking but I didn’t do much because everyone kinda knew I was going through it and drinking is not a good way to go for it. After the beach we went to some outlet stores and shopped (I spent $200 at hottopic and that is a crime). We ate at a Mexican themed restaurant but the food felt authentic enough (I may be Hispanic-American, but I know my foods). I got the best drink ever and it was a virgin drink too. It was a piña colada and my drink was in a pineapple and topped with whipped cream, it was heaven on earth. After that we went to another outlet, the girls convinced me to get panties at pink so I did. We took pics and then it was time to get back. When I arrived home, I took some snacks we didn’t eat and drinks too.
Recently I went to one more trip to see my friend who lives an hour away for her birthday and I got to see a city and area I think I fell in love with. I felt at peace there and it made me understand that I need a new change in my life, location-wise. I sleepover at her place, I got to see her friends who are super cool. We prepared food for a picnic and then went out to have a picnic in this hot ass weather. Then we went to her partner’s job and I ate this delicious Mac n cheese with tomato sauce and meatballs on it, it was amazing. The place looked cool but I assumed it be that way since it’s close by a university. We went back to her place and get ready for bed. Next day we went out and I got to see where she worked and I had an awesome smoothie bowl that I wish I can get everyday. She got her hair done but sadly it wasn’t done so well but she looked pretty regardless. She showed me the street nearby with all these cool shops around and it was beautiful. We went in a few of them and it was quite nice. Vintage and witchy stuff and more foods with water, all right up my alley. We then Uber back to her place to get ready for Korean bbq and karaoke. Food was yummy and the place looked cool. Karaoke was fun, although after they prematurely cut off me doing a perfect solo on Welcome to the Black Parade by MCR, I felt like I was put in my place of the corner real quick. I had an awkward ride home after that (had to get my stuff so it kinda made the ride more awkward that we had to go back) and then I was home. I miss it all ngl.
So what’s recent now? Well, I’m just working as of now but it seems like we might have found an apartment we’ll be willing to move it soon. I know it’s still in the same county I live but I want to move out do family first and then work my way to go somewhere better. I just hope everything goes well and then we can start life again. It’s been a summer and there’s still a bit of it left, so I’ll try to have more fun as this goes and hopefully my life will be new by autumn.
So I see you reached the bottom of this. Thanks for reading all of that if it interested you. There’ll be more of this I hope. I mean there’s more to write or type. I gotta go to bed now since it’s 1 AM and I do work so, I’ll be back when I can. Until then….

Do you ever just feel nostalgic for a life you never had? Or for the life you thought you’d live and didn’t?
Depression, anxiety, agoraphobia, adhd, autism... I’ve been struggling with these things for so long; even when I didn’t know that’s what they were. During my last therapy session, I realized that even as a child, I was having thoughts that no... *happy* kid should ever have.
I remember as a child having the revelation that... Oh. People don’t care about me the same way I do them. I realized that the way I cared about the people in my life was to bare my whole heart to them, to easily admit them into my circle as “family” rather than friends. To look at my friends and think to myself that the best, most perfect, idealized version of my future would be living side by side next to them forever.
And then realizing... they don’t think that way. None of them did. They would joke that they would be forced to stick close to me because otherwise I’d wind up dead from eating junk food. “We’d go to check on you and find your body under a mountain of ramen wrappers!” is how they’d put it (unbeknown to all of us at the time that chicken flavored ramen was my safe food, and therefor all I ate).
I used to be an incredibly shy person, painfully so, I would hide behind my mother, behind my friends, behind anyone if it meant I could make someone else talk for me. One of my friends made it her mission to force me to order for myself or talk to staff or any other time that usually had me hiding behind her. (I wasn’t shy. I was autistic, though neither of us knew that.)
She would also push my buttons constantly and on purpose. Any time she knew something would set me off, she’d do it, and she’d admitted this to me once. Times that come to mind where when we were splitting up candy, I think for Halloween, there was one I really wanted, she saw me take it before we decided how we were going to split it up and had to put it back into the pile. I told everyone I called dibs on it. She took it, knowing it would piss me off (send me into a meltdown). Another time, she purposefully keep pushing and pushing  and pushing until I finally snapped and shoved her  (another meltdown, the only time I had ever lashed out physically like that. I just wanted her to stop and get away from me). She admitted she had been provoking me, but I was still the one who got in trouble with our other friend who was there.
...They didn’t care about me. Not really. That’s not caring about someone.
It’s not caring to make fun of someone who’s desperately trying to talk to you about their favorite show ever (I was hyperfixated on anime at the time), and then when they start to give up admit that they actually did watch it and liked it, they just liked “messing” with you more. And then the whole group starts to get into it because she started to like it... And they forget you were the one to like it first.
None of these people liked me.
And I look back on that time and wonder, had I just been neurotypical, would they have treated me better? Would I have been better friends with them?
And I look at where I am right now in life and wonder... If I was normal, would I be happy? Would I have a job, not have to worry about money? Not feel like crying every single day because the weight of my inabilities and insecurities when it comes to working a real job is too much for me to bear anymore? Would I be able to have the friends I have now, have the girlfriend I have now, but just be *happy*? Would I have lived a completely different life?
I had so many expectations on me as the smart kid growing up.
Is it weird to mourn yourself? Is it weird to mourn the loss of this neurotypical person that you never got the chance to become? To mourn the loss of a neurotypical childhood you never had? To grieve over the fact that I will never be the person I wanted to be.
Every child growing up seems to have had an answer for “what do you want to be when youre older?” but I never did. Mom said I was good at writing, so I said writer. Made that my thing. But I never craved to be one, never strode towards that as a goal. I never had a goal. I still don’t, 27 years later.
What’s wrong with me? Why can’t I just be........
I suppose I’m not done mourning the person I wish I could have been.

The power of true love was life altering in your world. Literally. The world was painted in shades of blacks, whites, and grays. It always was for those who hadn’t met their true love, their soulmate, their one and only. It was said on the occasion that you had kissed your soulmate, the world before you would erupt into vibrant color. People spent their whole lives, searching for the person who brought color to them.
Living in a dull, colorless world was mundane to say the least, but it was all you knew. The idea of living in a world of color was an exciting thought to say the least, but in a way it scared you. Suddenly the world as you knew it changing abruptly before your eyes because you had met someone that destiny created for you? It was a scary thought. But in your head, you had nothing to worry about. You didn’t plan on meeting your soulmate any time soon.
Or so you thought.
Laying upside down on the common room couch, you flipped through the pages of a Quibbler, not really paying attention to the words on the page. You looked on either side of you, Katie painting her nails on your left and Alicia on the right making light chatter with Angelina. Needless to say, the four of you were bored out of your skull. It was a quiet Friday night, nothing happening in the common room. No parties, no quidditch match, no nothing.
With a groan, you pull yourself up from your inverted position and speak, “So are we all just going to sit around here like a bunch of bums and wait for something exciting to happen?”
Katie sighs, “That’s even if something exciting happens.” She blows on her nails, shaking her hands back and forth to expedite the drying process. “Does anyone have any ideas?”
The two of you look to Alicia and Angelina who just shrug as you throw your head back in annoyance. “Well, someone think of something because I refuse to let a perfectly good Friday night go to waste,” you flop the Quibbler on the table in front of you and hold your arms across your chest. “What can we do to entertain ourselves?”
Alicia stands up and starts pacing, trying to think of something. “We could...sneak some food out from the kitchens? Convince a house elf to sneak us some sweets from dinner two nights ago. Those biscuits were so good,” she thinks out loud.
Katie groans, “The thought of food makes me sick. I ate so much at dinner tonight after Ron challenged me to see how many dinner rolls I could fit into my mouth.”
The thought of Katie with bread rolls in her mouth makes the group chuckle. “Okay, so food is out of the picture,” Alicia speaks with a soft smile. “What about a movie? I can see if Hermione would let me borrow her projector and we could watch one of those movies I have tucked away in my trunk,” she suggests, surveying the group’s reaction.
Angelina makes a sour face. “We had a movie marathon last week, I’d like to do something different,” she tells Alicia who rolls her eyes.
Alicia huffs, plopping herself back onto the couch. “Well, then I’m out of ideas, so you come up with something, Johnson.”
The group sits in a bored silence for a few moments before Angie breaks the silence. “Should I go bother Fred and George? Surely they’ll find something to do. They always make things interesting,” she speaks, raising her brows, gaging her audience’s reaction.
Katie rolls her eyes, “Merlin, Angie, if you want an excuse to see your darling Georgie, you can just say so.” You laugh at her comment and give Katie a teasing high five as Alicia giggles along. Angelina rolls her eyes and leans back on the couch. Angelina and George had been dating ever since sixth year when they kissed after their first date and they had seen the world in color, confirming their soulmate status. Katie mockingly starts teasing Angie now, “Meh, meh, I’m Angie, I love George, I see the world in color. Meh, meh, my sweater is green and not black like you guys see it, blah, blah,” making you cackle, throwing your head back in laughter, clutching your stomach.
You lean into Katie as you laugh, making her laugh harder as Angelina stands up, “Oh, piss off you two! I can’t help it that he’s my soulmate and I found him so early!”
“We’re just teasing you, Angie,” you wipe the tears of laughter from your eyes. “Go on, go fetch the twins. I’m sure they’ll think of something to do. Tell ‘em to bring Jordan with them if he’s around. Lee is always a good time.” Alicia nods in agreement.
With a small smile, Angelina darts off up the stairs to the boys’ dormitory. Alicia shakes her head, “That girl is whipped for the Weasley. I can’t believe she found her soulmate already. We’re not even eighteen yet.”
It was true. It wasn’t unheard of people finding their soulmates at a young age, but it surely wasn’t common. Most people were friends or knew their soulmates for a while before they were aware that they were in fact soulmates. For example, your parents both went to Hogwarts and we friends for years. It wasn’t until after four years after graduation that they realized they were soulmates. You smiled to yourself at the thought of your parents. You wished that you could have a soulmate story like theirs.
Katie folds her arms across her chest, “Quite frankly I hope I don’t meet my soulmate anytime soon. I feel like after you meet your soulmate, you’re expected to drop everything and be with them. But you have your whole lives ahead of you to spend time with each other. I’d rather be single and have fun and live my life in black and white for a while before seeing color with a soulmate.”
In a way you did agree with Katie. Most people who met their soulmate at a young age tended to drop everything in order to be there for their soulmate. Coordinating their lives and schedules to their soulmates, moving cities for them, planning their days around the other. It just seemed so intense. You were seventeen, you couldn’t drop everything right now for another person.
Moments later, Angelina happily came down the stairs with a large smile on her face as George, Fred, and Lee all trailed behind her. “The entertainment has arrived, ladies,” George speaks with a big beaming smile on his face as you teasingly rolled your eyes.
You sit up and speak, “What entertainment did you bring, Georgie?”
He places a hand over his heart, pretending to be offended at your comment. “Are we not enough for you, (Y/N)? Is our presence not enough?” George mockingly stumbles back. “Freddie, I feel faint! Catch me!”
Dramatically, Fred scoops up his twin brother as George pretends to faint. “Merlin’s beard, (Y/N), look at what you’ve done!” he mockingly screeches as you roll your eyes and giggle. Katie huffs a here we go as she leans back into the couch. The twins always put on a show when they were around you guys. You never minded it; they were quite funny when they wanted to be. “Quick, Lee, we need to revive him!”
Lee, now in on the joke, runs over to the coffee table and clear it quickly. “Bring him here!” he exclaims as Fred lays a fake limp George on the table as you laugh and Alicia scoffs.
“Good Godric, you three are a bunch of idiots,” she huffs with a smile on her face. No matter how much she hated to admit it, this was much better than sitting around and doing nothing.
Fred speaks, “Alright, Lee, give me the reviving potion,” sticking out his hand.
Even more dramatic than before, Lee pulls out a large bottle of fire whiskey from his satchel as he improvises an operatic song as he places it in Fred’s hands. Lee opens George mouth as Fred uncorks the bottle and pours a glug into George’s mouth. George swallows it and dramatically inhales. “I’ve been revived!” he exclaims as the boys cheer.
Katie perks up at the sight of fire whiskey. “Where in the hell did you get a bottle of that?” she sits up and grabs the bottle from Fred’s hands. Lee pulls out a few cups from his satchel and places them on the table, Katie immediately pouring everyone a glass of fire whiskey.
Fred smiles, “It’s our emergency bottle. In case situations like this happen.”
Folding her arms across her chest, Alicia speaks up, “And exactly how many emergency bottles do you boys have?”
The trio looks at each other before sighing and speaking as a chorus, “Four.”
“Uh huh, that’s what I thought,” she laughs before taking a cup of fire whiskey from Katie, Katie then handing you one. “Well, it’s better than nothing I guess.”
You look at the whiskey in your cup before sighing and taking a sip, the liquid burning your throat, but warming your chest up in all the right ways. A familiar sensation. You hum in contentment. “Better than nothing is damn right,” you smile as the twins chuckle. “What were you lot doing upstairs?”
Lee takes a seat in the chair across from the couch, “Same thing as you gals. Bored out of our skulls. However, these two numbskulls were trying to conjure up a plan to go pull a prank on Filch.” George snickers as Lee flicks the back of his head, earning a small ow. “Good thing you all were bored too otherwise I would have been dragged into that mess.”
Fred scoffs, “Oh please, you wish you could pull off a prank at the caliber that Georgie and I do. Isn’t that right, brother?” He turns to George who is already cuddled up next to Angelina on the love seat, arm wrapped around her shoulders, pulling her close next to him. Fred rolls his eyes and makes a gagging sound. “You two make me sick.”
George just pulls Angie closer to his side as Angie blushes a deep crimson. “You’re just jealous, Freddie. I’ve got a hot girlfriend and I can see the world in color, making it quite obvious that you, dear brother, are green with envy.” Angie rolls her eyes, but still places a soft kiss to George’s cheek.
Fred shakes his head, “He’s gone soft, Lee. We’ve lost one of our bravest soldiers.”
“Piss off,” Angie speaks up, defending her boyfriend as Freddie chuckles, lips turning into a gorgeous smile. “Now that we’ve all got our drinks, let’s really get the party started...” she wiggles her eyebrows. “Katie Bell, truth or dare.”
Katie groans and sips her fire whiskey before deciding what she wants to do. As she ponders, you see Fred scoot over to you as you giggle, him dragging his bum on the floor, making his way to you. Fred smiles up at you, “This seat taken?” he refers to the spot on the floor right in front of your legs.
You shake your head with a smile, “It’s got your name written all over it, Weasley.”
Fred gives you a cheeky grin, “Brilliant.”
He turns around and leans his back up against your legs and rests one of his arms on your knees. You and Fred were close friends. In fifth year when Angelina confessed to you that she had a crush on George, you started spending more time with the twins and developed a close relationship with them and Lee. You, in particular, got along with Fred like a house on fire. The two of you loved to crack jokes on the sidelines, teasing George and Angie, giggling and stealing little glances here and there.
Angelina always told you that you and Fred would make a cute couple. She insisted she saw the way that Fred looked at you, but you always brushed it off as if it were nothing. You and Fred were friends, nothing more, nothing less. A partnership would just totally ruin the vibe between the two of you. There was no point to it. Even though you may have always admired Fred’s looks from a far and his charming personality, you had finally convinced yourself that you and Fred Weasley were platonic.
As Fred leaned up against your legs, sipping on his whiskey, your eyes found Angie’s as she lifted her brows, looking at you knowingly, sending you a look that said Oh? You rolled your eyes and shook your head, responding with your eyes, No way. She just shrugged and sipped her fire whiskey nonchalantly as if to say Whatever you say...You just brushed it off and leaned back as Katie challenged Lee to a dare.
----------
The night progressed and the drinking continued and the bottle got less and less full. Soon enough, the common room was full of your tipsy giggles as the lot of you cracked jokes with each other. You hugged your sides as you cackled as Fred did a spot on impression of Draco Malfoy as he mimicked him walking through the halls, yelling “Potter!” every now and then. Of course, the humor was amplified by the liquor in your hands, but it still was hilarious. The whole group was in a fit of giggles as Lee quite literally fell to the floor from laughter too hard.
Alicia laid her head in your lap as she laughed, wiping tears from her eyes as you all recovered from laughter. “Fred, that was brilliant. You’ll have to show Harry tomorrow morning,” she tells him as Fred plops down next to you on the couch, stealing Katie’s spot as she was now sat on the floor next to Lee.
Fred chuckles and rests his arm around the back of the couch, gently hovering behind you as you suddenly become very aware of his presence. You spot Angelina out of your periphery vision as she smirks to herself before leaning over and whispering something in George’s ear, making George look at you with a devilish smirk on his lips. Your gaze towards them hardens as you mouth, Knock it off. George just smiles and sips his drink quietly, pretending to mind his own business.
You turn to Fred and give him a soft smile as he drops his left eye in a wink, making your heart skip a beat. “Easy, Weasley,” you say in a cautious tone as he lifts his arms in defense. You shake your head and lean back into the couch, bumping into his arm that is draped across the back of the couch. Neither of you bother moving.
Alicia rises from your lap and reaches for the fire whiskey bottle, but groans in defeat when she realizes it’s empty. “Bloody hell,” she groans. She looks to Lee and begs, “Is it appropriate to call this an emergency and you can grab another one of your emergency fire whiskeys?”
Lee laughs, “I regret to inform you we have a one emergency bottle a night policy.” Alicia groans and flops back onto the couch. Suddenly, a light bulb goes off in Lee’s mind, making his eyes grow wide and a little smile dance on his lips. “However,” he wiggles his brows and surveys the group. “Now that we’ve got an empty bottle, I think we all know where we can take this party...”
Looking up from her cup, Katie says, “Where are we taking the party? Are we going to bed?” she asks with sadness in her voice. “But the night is so young!”
Shaking his head, Lee looks at Katie. “Are you daft, Bell?” he asks as she rolls her eyes, sipping her whiskey. “I meant we could play a cheeky game of spin the bottle,” Lee suggests.
Alicia huffs, “Really, Jordan? What are we? Fourth years?”
“Oh, come on, Spinnet, it’s just to add a little spice to the mix,” Lee shimmies his shoulders making you laugh. “Besides, it gives you an excuse to have the privilege of planting a sloppy one on me.”
Alicia fake gags. “I’d rather spend a whole day with Professor Snape,” she spits as Lee laughs.
George speaks up now, “Angie and I will sit this one out, but we will watch the show.” He pulls Angie impossibly closer to him as she cuddles into his chest. “For obvious reasons,” he smirks. Fred boos his brother and throws his now empty cup of fire whiskey at him. “What? I am not kissing someone other than my literal soulmate,” he rationalizes. “Besides, you’ve got five players. That’s enough. That is, if everyone is comfortable playing.”
The group all looks at each other, gaging everyone’s feelings of playing a cheeky game. You had to admit you’d rather not play a game as childish as spin the bottle, but for a weird reason, you were keen on playing at least one round. As you looked around, it seemed like everyone was on board to play.
Your eyes meet Fred’s for a moment as he looks at you, his eyes darting from your eyes to your lips for a split second, hoping you wouldn’t catch him. You quickly turn away, trying to hide the heat on your cheeks. “I don’t see the harm in one game,” you shrug as you see Fred smile from the corner of your eye. Lee claps his hands cheering as Alicia and Katie agree.
Fred speaks up, “Well, I can’t let Lee be the only bloke having all the fun, now can I?”
Everyone is on board with the game as Lee cheers, “Alright! Five for five!” He places the empty bottle of fire whiskey on its side in order to spin it. “Everyone knows the rules. You spin and kiss whomever it lands on, no matter who it is. I’m looking at you, Weasley. If you land on me, I expect the best snog of my life,” he teases as you all laugh wildly. “Whomever the bottle lands on gets the next spin. All good?” Everyone nods. Lee smiles, “Groovy. Welp, youngest goes first. Bell, you’re up.”
Katie giggles, “Put on your chapstick, you lucky sons of bitches.” Alicia laughs as Katie reaches and spins the bottle. The bottle does a series of spins, turning clockwise as she anticipates who she’ll be planting a kiss on. She nervously dances back and forth as you watch her with a small smile on your face.
Slowly the bottle stops spinning to land gently on Fred. Your heart stops for a second and your mouth runs dry. You blink a few times and swallow hard. The group all claps their hands and laughs as Katie rolls her eyes. You on the other couldn’t help but have a tight feeling in your chest. You force a smile on your face before you look at Angelina quickly. She raises her brows, monitoring your reaction as you just shake your head, letting her know you were fine.
Katie scoots over to Fred as Fred leans down. “Get ready for your mind to be blown,” Fred jokes as Katie slaps his arm.
You watch very intently as Fred ducks his head down to connect his lips with Katie. You stop breathing for a moment as you watch Fred kiss one of your closest friends. Your palms start sweating and you pull yourself away from looking at them kiss. Lee and Alicia oooh and giggle as you look at Angie, eyes screaming at her, Okay maybe I’m not fine.
She gives you a nervous smile and mouths, “It’s just a silly game.”
You nod your head and shake it off. It was a silly game. That’s all. A stupid, silly, childish game. It meant nothing. You knew Katie didn’t like Fred like that. She had fancied Adrian Pucey for a few months now. This kiss meant literally nothing.
It felt like the kiss had lasted for hours when it was a brief five seconds. Katie pulls away from the kiss and returns to her position on the floor. Fred just smirks and leans back in his seat, dragging his thumb across his bottom lip. You watch as he does so, the small gesture being surprisingly attractive to you as you gulp. But you quickly turn around so Fred doesn’t catch you watching.
Katie laughs, “Eh, you’re nothing to ride home about, Freddie. Hate to break it to you.”
Fred shrugs, “It’s alright, Bell. The first stage of grieving is denial. You’ll eventually accept that that kiss was the best one of your life.”
Lee cackles as Fred joins him in his laugher before leaning over and spinning the bottle for himself. The bottle spins round and round and round as you watch it, the bottle hypnotizing you. You secretly wished that the bottle would land on you, wanting to be able to kiss Fred Weasley and getting the confirmation that you didn’t like Fred in that way. But honestly, you just hoped it was anyone but Katie or Alicia.
The bottle slowly stopped spinning as it gently landed on Lee, making the group erupt in laughter. Lee’s lips drew up in a devilish smile as he rubbed his hands together, “Here I come, big boy!” he exclaims, making you laugh even harder.
Fred laughs and sits up in his seat. “Give it to me, Jordan,” he challenges.
Lee springs to his feet and grabs Fred’s face with both hands, squeezing his cheeks together before smashing his lips on Fred’s. Fred is laughing as Lee kisses him roughly, rocking him back and forth. George is absolutely dying of laughter, falling into his chair as the rest of the group squeals.
Alicia grabs onto your arms, squeezing you as she laughs, you doing the same. The kiss happens for a while as you cackle, “Good Godric, come up for some air why don’t you?”
With a smack, Lee pulls off of Fred as Fred falls back in his seat. Fred’s eyes are wide as Lee wipes his lips. “And that,” Lee points to Fred, “is how you kiss someone. Not that pathetic thing you gave Katie.”
The group comes down from laughing at Lee spins the bottle for himself. The cycle repeats for a while. Lee kisses Alicia, Alicia kisses you, you kiss Katie, Katie kisses Lee, and then the bottle spins again. Lee spins and the bottle gently lands on you as you giggle. “I’m expecting excellence, Lee Jordan,” you eye him as he laughs. “Not going to lie, Alicia might give you a run for your money.”
Lee rolls his eyes, “In her dreams.”
You giggle before the two of you close the gap between you two, kissing each other. The kiss is honestly not bad. Lee’s lips tasted of the fire whiskey along with vanilla and sugar. The kiss was gentle, but not bad at all. Your friends around you all cheer and oooh at you two in typical fashion as you both smile into the kiss. You pull away and Lee sends you a wink. “The reviews are in,” you speak. “Not bad, Jordan. Not bad at all. Actually, pretty damned good!”
Lee pumps his arm. “Hah! Take that, Spinnet!”
“Alright, my turn to spin,” you giggle and excitedly spin the bottle.
The bottle spins and spins and spins as everyone waits in anxious anticipation. Who could it be? Slowly, the bottle stops spinning and lands on the person right next to you, Mr. Fred Weasley.
Your heart stops as your mouth goes dry. Everyone immediately erupts into cheers, specifically George who springs onto his feet. “Oh, I’ve been waiting for this one!” he cheers as you gulp.
Kissing Fred Weasley? Maybe this game was a mistake.
You stare at the bottle, and then to Angie who wears the biggest grin on her face, and then back at the bottle and finally to Fred. His eyes stare back at you as you gulp. A smirk dances on Fred’s lips as you suck in a breath. The whole group stares at the pair of you, silent, waiting for something to happen.
The tension between you and Fred was so thick you could cut it with a knife. “Cat got your tongue, (Y/L/N)?” Fred teases you as he scoots a little closer to you. You suck in a shaky breath as he chuckles lowly.
You snap yourself out of this anxious gaze and speak, confidence now coursing through your veins. You were going to kiss your best friend and it was happening now. “Make your move, Weasley,” you challenge with flirtation laced in your voice.
Fred smiles, “No need to tell me twice,” he lowly whispers.
Immediately, Fred cups your cheek and brings your lips to his. Your lips connect and the whole group loudly cheers and screams. You hear Lee scream, “Oh shit! Oh shit! Oh shit!”
But you couldn’t care what was happening. You were kissing Fred. Your heart was beating a mile a minute. Fred’s lips were soft, but demanding as they pressed firmly onto yours. His lips tasted of sweet cinnamon and spice; his lips were like a personal drug that you couldn’t get enough of. You pressed your lips harder against his as you both sucked in a breath, your hand resting on his forearm. His lips moved gently against yours as you both enjoyed this kiss too much for a friendly game of spin the bottle.
You opened up your mouth enough for Fred to slide his tongue in, massaging his with yours as you moan just loudly enough for Fred to hear, making him smile into your kiss. As the group watched you two softly snog, they only cheer louder. You were too involved in relishing in the way Fred’s lips felt pressed against yours to care about how your friends were reacting.
The kiss was everything you wanted a first kiss with someone to be. It was gentle, but didn’t lack in passionate or desire. His lips moved in sync with yours as you followed his lead, his tongue dancing with yours. It was exactly how you imagined kissing Fred Weasley.
You are pulled from your thoughts when George cries out, “For Merlin’s sake Freddie, don’t eat the poor girl!”
Gently, you break the kiss as Fred’s lips follow yours for a moment, not wanting the kiss to end just yet. The two of you keep your eyes closed, relishing in the moment that you two shared.
Lee laughs, “Is it just me or is it hot in here?”
You giggle and gently pry your eyes open. But that’s when you gasp.
You look at Fred who sits in front of you in full color. His bright red hair contrasting against the light blue thermal shirt he wears. His brown eyes stare at you just as much in shock.
It happened.
“Merlin’s beard...” you whisper.
The room fall silent as your friends stare at the two of you in confusion, wondering what could have possibly happened that made the two of you stare at each other in shock.
“Is it...” you start.
“Yeah,” Fred answers. He lets out a light laugh. “Yeah, it is.”
You let out a light laugh with him and slowly, look around the room taking in your surroundings, the whole common room in beautiful colors of maroon and gold. Color dances everywhere as you let out an amazed chuckle.
Looking at Angie with amazement, she suddenly realizes exactly what’s going on. A smile erupts on her face as she lets out a sigh. “Good Godric,” she breathes. She looks at George. “It happened.”
The entire group registers what is happening as they stare at the two of you in awe as you two take in your surroundings gentle. “Oh shit,” Lee breathes out with a smile. “That’s bloody brilliant...”
You look back at Fred who just wears a gentle smile on his face as you look deeply into his chocolate brown eyes that swim with amazement and adoration. You could look into those eyes forever. And lucky for you, that’s what you were going to do.
Breaking the silence, Angelina says, “We’ll leave you two to it then. Guys...”
Your friends all start to leave the common room, running up the stairs to the dormitories, definitely to chat about what just happened.
You are now left with Fred in the common room, sitting on the couch together, staring at each other in technicolor. “Hi, Freddie,” you breathe out with a smile.
Fred smiles, “Hi, (Y/N),” he reciprocates. The two of you just take the other one in for a few moments as you gulp. What were you supposed to say? What were you supposed to do? Merlin’s sake, this was supposed to be a cheeky game of spin the bottle and all of a sudden. “We’re soulmates,” Fred speaks plainly.
“I guess so,” you laugh. You gently bite your lip. “I never thought it would be you, Fred.”
He inhales a long breath. “I had a feeling,” Fred admits as you teasingly smack his arm. “I’m glad I was right,” he confesses as you blush. “You have the most beautiful eyes I’ve ever seen. With and without color,” he tells you. “I didn’t think that you could get more gorgeous, but color has proved me wrong.”
You shake your head, “Freddie...” you trail off, blushing wildly, crimson appearing on your cheeks for the first time. Fred takes your hand in his and gently rubs his thumb over your knuckles. You give into his touch, nothing feeling more right. “I’m so glad it’s you.”
Fred lifts your hand up to his lips and presses a kiss to your knuckles. “We’re soulmates,” he repeats himself as you nod. “Wow...so, we get to spend forever with each other, huh? You’re going to get really tired of me, aren’t you?” he jokes as you laugh.
“I could never grow tired of you,” you confess, squeezing his hand. You run your hand through his red hair. The signature of the Weasleys that you could finally see now. “I do have to say though,” you start. “I was not expecting your hair to be this red.”
Fred laughs, “Get used to it, darling. You’ll be staring at it for the rest of your life. Not to mention, the Weasley genetics are strong. Sorry to say that if we decide to have kids, they’ll end up like this.”
You roll your eyes, “Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, Freddie.” He smiles and sends you a wink. “So,” you breathe out. “What do we do now?”
He inhales deeply and sighs. “Well,” he starts. “I think we ought to tell people, specifically our parents,” he says as you nod. “But other than that, we do what we want.” You gaze into Fred’s eyes and smile. “(Y/N), we have the rest of our lives together. There’s no rush. We can go at our own pace. We don’t have to pay attention to what people say we should be doing. I’m just happy that we’ve found each other that way we can start forever now.”
Your heart fills with joy and adoration at his words. You had always worried that you wouldn’t love soulmate, nevertheless like them, but loving Fred Weasley was going to be the easiest task of your life. Living your forever in color together.
“Sounds good to me, Weasley,” you smile.
Fred leans in and closes the gap between you two, kissing you again sweetly like he had done minutes ago for the first time. His lips are even gentler than before on yours as you smile into the kiss. Fred pull away and smiles, “Reckon we go upstairs and get the teasing out of the way from the lot?”
You take a moment. “Let’s wait a little while. We have forever for them to tease us. We’ll only have this moment for a short time.”
He shakes his head. “Merlin, you’re perfect.”
And there the two of you laid in each other’s arms, taking in the new colorful world before you, souls now connected forever. And you wouldn’t have it any other way.

You watched amused as Atsumu slumped over the counter of his brother’s restaurant, arms pressed to his sides dejectedly and cheek smooshed against the hard surface. You couldn’t see his face from the angle you were at, but there was no doubt in your mind he had a pout on his face.
Osamu was standing behind the counter, clearly purposefully ignoring his brother’s sulking as he shaped onigiri in his hands, a thoroughly exasperated look on his face. His head lifted when he heard the bell overhead ring as you entered the shop, but a quick finger to your lips kept him from greeting you by name.
“Welcome to Onigiri Miya what can I get ya?” he chimed automatically, the usual bored drawl in his voice.
“How much for your twin?” you asked, your voice making Atsumu jerk a little in recognition, though he didn’t bother lifting his head, choosing instead to heave a sigh and pointedly ignore you, letting you know exactly what kind of mood your boyfriend was in.
“You can have that for free,” Osamu told you, face scrunched up in disgust, “In fact if yer haulin’ trash outta my restaurant I almost feel like I should be payin’ you instead.”
“Who you callin’ trash, ya scrub,” Atsumu sneered at his brother, finally raising his head to glare at his brother.
“Who else but you, ya trashy scrub!” Osamu retorted, not impressed in the slightest.
Luckily there was no one else in the restaurant at the moment to watch their antics, because while you found them entertaining you knew some found them more than a bit intimidating. Still you didn’t think either twin would be too happy if they actually started brawling in Osamu’s restaurant so you walked up behind your boyfriend, threading your fingers through his hair and gently tugging backwards until his head was resting against your chest.
He immediately quieted down a bit, though you could tell from the look on Osamu’s face that he was still glaring at his twin. Carefully you rested a hand on his shoulder and stroked your fingers through the soft golden waves, massaging his scalp in a way you knew he loved as you asked, “Rough day, Tsumu?”
He let out a huff, but didn’t bother to respond, clearly purposefully ignoring you, even if he didn’t actually pull away from your hands. You rolled your eyes at this childish behavior exchanging a look with Osamu.
“Don’t do that,” Atsumu hissed at the two of you.
“Do what?” Osamu demanded exasperated.
“Talk to each other like I ain’t sittin’ right here in front of ya,” your boyfriend retorted angrily.
“Ya really need to get yer ears cleaned out if ya thought we were talkin’ ya deaf scrub,” Osamu hissed, thoroughly fed up with your boyfriend who was clearly looking to pick a fight.
“Are you going to tell me why you’re ignoring me Tsumu?” you asked patiently, knowing that when he got in this kind of mood patience was the best way to deal with him. If you snapped back or got sarcastic it would only escalate the situation.
“It’s only fair,” he grumbled, still pointedly not looking at you, “Since you’ve been ignorin’ me all day.”
“Ignoring you?” you repeated completely and utterly baffled, “But weren’t you practicing with the rest of the Black Jackals today? And you know I was working too.”
“Ya didn’t let me kiss ya goodbye this mornin’ and ya ignored my texts all day,” Atsumu sulked, “I was startin’ to think ya weren’t even goin’ ta come fer our monthly dinner.”
“I was going to be late, and you were refusing to wake up,” you told your boyfriend reasonably, more amused than annoyed now that you knew what was bothering him, “But I still kissed you goodbye Tsumu and I even left a note for you.”
“Ya left a note?” he asked, voice perplexed though still sulky, “Where? I didn’t see it.”
“In the fridge on top of the bento I packed for you last night,” you told him puzzled that he hadn’t seen it, “Where I was sure you’d see it.”
“I forgot to bring my lunch,” he told you miserably, which definitely helped to explain his mood. Atsumu almost never ate if he didn’t bring his lunch with him insisting the food wasn’t good enough and didn’t match his diet plan. However, when he didn’t eat he tended to get hangry, which had no doubt contributed quite a bit to his foul mood.
“Sounds like a you problem,” Osamu jeered, clearly unimpressed. He of all people knew how nasty his brother could get when he didn’t eat. You gave him a look over his brother’s head again, trying to tell him not to rile him up again, and he raised his hands in surrender.
“Yer doin’ it again,” Atsumu whined, though he’d lost the slightly bitter edge from before.
“If you don’t like it, then maybe you should turn and look at me, so I can’t talk over your head anymore,” you pointed out mildly, feeling a bit like you were dealing with a sulking toddler, but willing to indulge him for now seeing as these kinds of moods were rare nowadays, something Ojirou had told you was clearly a long awaited sign of maturity from the former Inarizaki setter.
Your boyfriend huffed, but in the end swiveled his seat to look at you as you took the seat next to him. However you knew exactly what to do to coax him out of his bad mood. Gently you cupped his face in your palms and pressed a quick kiss to his lips, pulled back for a second, then pressed a longer lingering one to his willing mouth.
“There,” you assured him nuzzling your nose against his affectionately before pulling back, “The kiss goodbye I owed you from this morning, and a kiss to say I’m sorry.”
“Ya forgot to give me a kiss hello,” he pointed out, though you could see the corners of his lips pull upwards as you coaxed him out of his mood.
You grinned and leaned forward to press another kiss to his lips, enjoying the feel and the warmth of it as he cupped your face with one of his hands and held you close for a long moment both of you ignoring Osamu who was fake gagging in the background.
“But why didn’t ya text me?” Atsumu asked you when you parted again, his forehead resting on yours as he peered at you with anxious honey brown eyes, “I thought ya were mad at me.”
“My phone is dead,” you told him, with an affectionate huff, pulling it from your pocket and handing it over, “I must’ve forgotten to charge it last night.”
“Oh,” he told you, playing with the power button and refusing to meet your eyes clearly a little embarrassed at his overreaction, though he did quietly clarify, “So yer not mad?”
“I don’t think I have anything to be mad about,” you admitted, then teased, “Unless you’ve done something I should know about…?”
“No!” he protested immediately hands waving wildly in front of him as he declared his innocence looking entirely too alarmed, “I haven’t done anythin’ I swear!”
“I believe you,” you told him with an amused giggle, grabbing one of his flailing hands and interlacing your fingers together.
“Ya shouldn’t,” Osamu interjected with a huff, “If he hasn’t done somethin’ stupid recently I’ll eat my hat, and if he really hasn’t then he’s goin’ to be due fer it in the near future.”
“I’m not that bad,” Atsumu hissed at his twin, thoroughly offended.
“Ya are,” Osamu jeered, though it was more on the teasing end of things, “Otherwise ya wouldn’t have come in here and moped around, floppin’ all over my counter like an ugly fish and makin’ a nuisance of yerself because ya thought yer girl was mad at ya.”
“How can ya call me any sort of ugly when we have the same face!” Atsumu complained, exasperated. The argument was one you’d heard a thousand times now from both twins and somehow it never ceased to amuse you.
“It’s cuz I ain’t a whiney baby like you,” Osamu huffed.
“Princess, tell him I ain’t a whiney baby,” Atsumu whined, completely proving Osamu’s point and making you giggle helplessly as he pouted at you, informing you, “Yer my girlfriend, yer supposed to be on my side.”
“I am on your side,” you assured him, leaning forward to press a kiss to his pouting lips unable to help yourself, even as you told him, “But you are a bit of a brat Tsumu.”
“A what?” Atsumu asked, thrown by your use of English. He’d gotten better at speaking it a bit, picking up words here and there, though he did get thrown off sometimes when you threw out random words.
“A BrAtsumu?” Osamu repeated, his head cocked to the side in utter confusion.
You gaped at him for several seconds repeating the word over in your mind giggles beginning to spill from your mouth as both twins looked on with identical looks of confusion on their faces. The looks only made things worse and you began to howl with laughter, nearly falling out of your chair if not for Atsumu’s steadying hands.
“Brat – Tsumu, Bratsumu,” you managed to stutter out, wheezing as you tried to catch your breath, “It’s perfect, Osamu it’s perfect.”
“I don’t get it,” the onigiri chef informed you flatly, though you could see the corners of his lips curled upwards, amused at your amusement if nothing else.
“Brat means gaki,” you explained as you caught your breath, clutching Atsumu’s forearms for balance earning a snort of amusement from your boyfriend’s twin.
“Oy, oy, should ya really be callin’ yer boyfriend a brat,” Atsumu protested, though you could tell he wasn’t actually upset, just exasperated, “Especially when I just saved ya from either face plantin’ or crackin’ yer head open. What happens if I decide to drop ya huh?”
“Then I guess I’ll have to do this,” you told him lunging forward to wrap your arms around him instead to better brace yourself.
He caught you easily with a huff of amusement and cuddled you close pressing a tender kiss to your hair before he nuzzled his face into your neck with a warm chuckle as he asked, “So guess that means ya love me after all, even if ya are makin’ fun of me.”
“I always love you Tsumu,” you assured him affectionately, pulling back slightly so you could peer up into his eyes and hoping he could see how serious you were about this, “Even when you’re being a BrAtsumu.”
“Love ya too princess,” he told you fondly pressing a soft kiss to your hairline, “Gonna love ya fer ever, and m’sorry fer bein’ a pain today. Was just rough, cuz I thought ya were mad at me, an I woke up late, forgot my lunch, and didn’t do well in practice.”
“It’s okay Tsumu,” you assured him tenderly, “You weren’t that bad, though I’d appreciate if in the future you talked to me before getting angry.”
“I will,” he assured you nuzzling close.
You sighed in utter contentment, enjoying the feel of his arms, though you knew you probably shouldn’t stay too long. You were in public after all.
“Would the two of ya knock it off with the lovey dovey crap already, yer goin’ to scare away my customers,” sure enough, Osamu interrupted, though he looked more fond than annoyed, even if he was clearly giving it a go, “An where’s my apology huh? It was my counter ya were attemptin’ to merge with.”
“Thanks for putting up with us Osamu,” you told him sincerely, cutting in before your boyfriend could, meaning every word. The man really did put up with a lot at times and you really were grateful for it.
“Yeah well, the least I can do fer ya fer puttin’ up with my lump of a twin,” Osamu told you clearly a little embarrassed as he pulled off his cap and ruffled his hair, heaving a sigh, “Yer really good fer him ya know, too good if ya ask me, but thanks fer takin’ care of the scrub.”
“It’s my pleasure,” you told him honestly, “He may be a scrub, but he’s my scrub and I really do love him you know.”
“I know,” Osamu told you with a fond smile, “Of all people I’m glad it’s you that’s goin’ ta be my future sister-in-law.”
“Oy, what did I tell the two of ya about talkin’ like I ain’t here,” Atsumu protested, though there was a slightly wavering edge to his voice that told you he didn’t actually mind all that much, the pink flush on his cheeks letting you see how touched he was, even as he rushed to change the subject, “Besides we’re here fer food Samu so why aren’t ya feedin’ us?”
“Fine, fine,” Osamu told him, rolling his eyes and clearly deciding to concede just this once, “What do ya want ya big glutton.”
As the twins bickered a bit you couldn’t help but smile, enjoying the warmth of Atsumu’s arm around your waist and the way you could clearly see how both twins kept an eye on your comfort even as they argued, always sure to include you in the conversation and to let you know you were free to interject at any time.
Osamu had always made sure you felt like you were part of the family, and Atsumu, though he could be a brat at times, but he was your brat and he doted on you like nothing else. Looking at them you could almost see the future, with you solidly at Atsumu’s side coming to visit Osamu in his shop so you could all catch up together, hopefully someday with a spouse for Osamu too if he wanted one, and children that would argue the same way the twins did causing mayhem wherever they went.
It was a lovely dream for the future, one you hoped with all your heart would become reality, but for now you were content to simply enjoy the moment savoring every second of being loved by the biggest brat you knew.

nct ideal types 2021 :: dream
127 version | this has been on my mind for a bit and I wanted to write it down- these will consist of confirmed facts and then my own thoughts. the latter part is, as it sounds, strictly from my opinion and observation and may well not be accurate. this is just for fun! proceed~
mark lee:
Tumblr media
confirmed: likes someone with long black hair who is nice (on air nct show)
my thoughts:
he moved to korea to train when he was like 13 and has been busy as a bee ever since. I don’t know his life but I feel like he hasn’t really had the chance to date much if at all yet. this brings me to think he would prefer someone who can lead in the relationship
he grew up christian and seems to still hold those ideals. although if he really liked someone it wouldn’t be an issue, this makes me think he would be drawn to someone with similar ideals
he laughs a lot and gets along well with people who are funny (haechan, yuta, jungwoo). I think that he would like someone with a good sense of humor
he doesn’t spend money lavishly and prefers to use what he has (i.e. the jansport backpack, not having youtube premium, keeping all the gifts he receives in his bag). all of this points to him preferring someone modest and not wasteful
mark got jisung a bracelet that costs over $1000 for his birthday (what a good bro I’m cry). he likes songs like ‘I got you’ by Bazzi (mark superm quarantine playlist) which is about spoiling a girl. this all makes me think that although he is frugal for himself, he likes spoiling others and would like to spoil his significant other
From Japan official book vol 1, mark said he wasn’t sure what his ideal first date would be, but he answered that it would be to go to a restaurant and have a good meal because he likes eating. So someone who’s down for simple dates and perhaps also good at cooking (because our boy can’t even make an egg)
From the same magazine, he said he doesn’t care about fashion and would like his partner to “wear what she likes”. Doesn’t seem like he goes for style much!
huang renjun:
Tumblr media
confirmed: n/a
my thoughts:
I strongly feel like he would want to feel like the ‘man in the relationship’. he would want to feel protective over his partner and that’s why I think he would adore someone smaller than him
he’s full of chaotic rage energy (in the cutest way that would never actually hurt anybody). to balance out these vibes, renjun would match well with someone calm and sweet
looks-wise besides being a petite person, I can envision someone very cute, probably with shorter, un-dyed hair
renjun is into sci-fi movies and shows and confirmed he believes in aliens (weekly idol). I think he’d be drawn to someone with a big imagination who likes sci-fi as well
lee jeno:
Tumblr media
confirmed: n/a
my thoughts:
jeno is really really shy (when he met yeeun from clc to mc together, they said they couldn’t even talk at first because it was so awkward). I think jeno would like someone more outgoing but not overwhelming
I feel like his ideal type is literally like renjun- a little fiesty and literally, little. jeno has mentioned that he loves renjun’s voice too, so perhaps he would be interested in someone with a nice voice
he works out a lot and likes physical activities like biking and going to the gym. I think he’d like someone who values fitness and health too
he loves animals and has 3 cats of his own despite being allergic. because of this, I think he’d like a person who loves animals too
lee haechan:
Tumblr media
confirmed: someone with a nice voice/ singing voice. someone with shorter hair
my thoughts:
he’s so extroverted and craves attention from whoever he’s around, and that wouldn’t be an exception for the person he likes. he’d want someone who looks up to him and gives him attention
he’s still really young and even enjoys movies like the kissing booth (I’m sorry I had to bring it up because I think it’s important). ignoring the actual bad parts of that movie, I think he’s interested in that young love, dancing together at the arcade, kissing in the rain, come over to his house in secret, type relationship
haechan seems to be especially close friends with foreign swaggers line (mark, johnny, jaehyun) so I’m thinking that perhaps he likes the western vibe
during oshiete Japan, he and Yuta were the only ones who chose to give three roses to a hypothetical ‘lover’ (they had to choose between 4 types of roses to give). the psychologist said that this means haechan is “flirty and attention-seeking” which makes a lot of sense. this adds to my point that he would like someone who gives him a lot of attention and good reactions
during a recent fansign (1/23?) OP asked “what are things girls do that makes you flattered?” to which he answered “when I did something wrong and get scolded, that scary look makes me flattered”. although it’s a bit awkwardly translated, this insinuates that he likes it when he gets scolded by a girl. *jaemin voice* sexayyy. thus, I’m adding that haechan likes a someone strong headed and not afraid to scold him
na jaemin:
Tumblr media
confirmed: n/a
my thoughts:
he has a sort of 180 personality where he’s either really energetic or prefers to be in the background. jeno says that jaemin hardly talks at the dorms after schedules because his social battery is dead. this is classic introvert behavior so I think he would vibe well with someone patient and calm
he’s the sweetest boy and he volunteers often for unicef and was even cast to sm while he was volunteering. he’d appreciate someone who shares similar values and likes helping others
I think he often doesn’t think or worry about himself. he goes out of his way to please others and help others and often disregards what he actually wants because of it (i.e. taking his shirt off at the dream show even though he was uncomfortable I’m so sad poor baby). he needs someone who is thoughtful and who reminds him when it’s time to stop and think of himself
looks-wise, I’m gonna be completely honest when I say I think he doesn’t go for looks. personality and morals are key
his favorite member of snsd is tiffany. he never confirmed if she was his ideal type, but perhaps he’s attracted to her bubbly, girly personality
zhong chenle:
Tumblr media
confirmed: he’s only into girls (vlive)
my thoughts:
this may be a stretch, but in a live he was doing, chenle was talking about which member of wayv princesses was the prettiest. he said something along the lines of ‘ew they all looked weird’ but later admitted that kun was probably the only one who ‘looked okay’. kun was snow white which brings me to my first prediction which is that lele likes the classic chinese beauty (black hair, pale skin, elegant, gentle)
chenle loves winning and he loves to be praised. although his mbti shows that he’s an introvert, he would crave the full attention of his s/o. someone who looks only at him
during the from home live, he was asked to act out a scenario where he accidentally ate his girlfriend’s food. haechan (who was acting as the girlfriend) went “buy me 10 more” and chenle just went “okay :)”. ngl, kinda fell in love with him then but this makes me think he’d want someone to spoil
park jisung:
Tumblr media
confirmed: likes it when people call him 오빠 (oppa) - take this how you will
my thoughts:
debuting at 14, I’m quite sure he hasn’t had the opportunity to have a relationship yet. this being said, he also seems quite innocent and shy which is why I think he would prefer someone who knows what they’re doing and isn’t afraid to speak their opinion
just from vibes, I think he would wanna be with someone like a best friend to him. someone who’s down to just hang out and talk, play video games and watch movies etc.
he’s quite tall (the tallest in dream) so I think he’d actually be ok with a tall person maybe even around the same height as him
maybe not a definite need, but I feel like he’d be impressed by someone who can dance well since dancing is such a big part of his life

"That was a good one!" Connie congratulates you when you're again on the floor. The Titan wood figure is now divided in two parts.
"Next time, be a bit more careful." Jean says, looking to the boys that are trying to fix the figure. "I think they will have a hard time fixing it." You blushed when you looked at the boys, both with their hands in their heads. You bowed at them, saying sorry, when they looked at you.
"But that was a-ma-zing." Sasha says. They all agree and Connie looks to the sky.
"I think it's time to eat. You coming?" you moved your head from one side to other.
"No. Jurian is waiting for me to eat." Connie moved his eyebrows and Jean looked with interest.
You usually don't like to talk about your relationship, but this three were your best friends, and you basically threatened them, telling them that if they opened their mouth you would crack them.
"Oooh, then have fun." Jean says. He and Connie smile to each other.
"And try to eat something more than the other’s mouth." Connie laughed right after saying that, and your ears blushed while you walked to the other exit. They waved their hands at you and you waved yours back. You could see Jurian's hair from where you were. But a hand on your shoulder stopped you.
"Oi, wait."
You recognized that voice. When you turned back, Captain Levi was there, looking at you.
"Yes, Captain?"
You were clueless, but Levi's brain was trying his best to form a coherent phrase.
"You're good at it. But next time, try not to break our training models, got it?" You blushed again, remembering the accident. He looked at you, and you thought he was disappointed, but he was totally hypnotized by the way your ears started to get a red color, along with your cheeks. He cleared his throat and looked away. "Try to be more careful next time, but just in the training."
"Yes, Captain Levi." He turned around and went back to the control point, were Hange was waiting for him.
"Wow Levi, that was by far the longest interaction between you two in years."
"Shut up, four eyes"
"I have never seen you so focused on someone."
Levi clicked his tongue, but Hange was right. He had a damn crush on you since you entered the Survey Corps. But, what really caught his attention, was your innocent appearance, that later did not agree with your fierceness in battle. He fell by the grace of your body as it moved through the trees, and your sweet smile every time you come across him. Your voice is driving him crazy and just thinking of all the times you cared for him makes his heart shake. He looks behind him before leaving the control station, making sure you’re gone.
Jurian was playing with a flower when you arrive. He kisses you cheek before holding your hand.
"Did you wait too much?" he moved his head, saying no.
"It's fine, don't worry."
You two walked in silence towards the cantine, but you never ate there. Jur knows a little field apart from the training camp where you can't be seen. He brought a bag with some food, so you sit on the field and start eating.
"How was the practice?" he asks. You swallow the tea and answer.
"It was fine. Levi came to notify me for breaking a figure." he laughs quietly.
You met Jurian on your second year on the Survey Corps. You were being examinated, they were about to decide in which squad they were going to assign you. Your amazing skills on titan elimination and the control of ODMG assured you a place in the best squads: Levi's, Hange's and Erwin's. If you could have chosen, you would choose Levi's, the Special Operations Squad, but the three captains decided to put you on Hange's squad. You're happy to be there, they are really good as captain and you feel comfortable, but you're not into capture titans and experiment with them.
Jurian was also a soldier trying to enter on one of the highest squads, but he didn't pass the test. He was assigned to a little squad on charge of the food and the carts. You started talking later that day, when he told you that you were lucky to join a squad, and somehow both of you started to see each other everyday, which ended in a relationship of four years and a half. You kept this in secret, because
a) the Survey Corps members are really gossip
b) you're not a fan of showing your private life to everybody.
But, that was your error.
Once you two finished eating, Jur said he had to do some training with his squad.
"Now?" he nods "I thought all the trainings were finished for today"
"It's a special one. You know, carts and that things." You nod. He kisses you fast before leaving. You start to walk towards your room. Not surprisingly, Connie is yelling at Sasha, and she's eating something that looks like an onigiri.
You shared a room with Sasha and Historia, but now that Historia left the Corps, Sasha and you sleep alone. Connie and Jean are always on your room, paassing time, and the four of you became a group.
"Sasha just open your mouth, I want to eat too!" she shakes her head. You sigh before unpacking the bag Jurian gave you, telling that he couldn't bring it with him to the training. At the end of the bag, you saw his belt, where the ODMG has to be fastened. You think that probably the training hasn't started yet. You make your way out of your room, almost colliding with Jean, who was about to enter.
"You're going somewhere?"
"I'll be right back, wait a bit!" You started to run towards the training camp. The captains advise not to go out at night, but without that belt, Jurian was unable to train.
"Where are you going?" Levi's voice scared you. You looked around, but you couldn't see him. "Up here." Your gaze runs to a tree. He's is perched on a large branch of the tree, leaning against the trunk. his Maneuvering gear still on. He goes down fast.
"I... I have to give this to somebody, Captain."
"Interesting... May I accompany you?"
If Levi goes with you, he will discover your relationship with Jurian, but if you say no, he probably distrust and lose all esteem he has for you. So you start telling him when you two start walking.
"It's for my boyfriend." his face freezes.
Right now, on Levi Ackerman's head, the remote possibility of you dating someone has gained weight.
"Boyfriend, huh?" he says. He's about to turn back, run and hit something, but he pressures himself to stay calmly. He knows he has now zero opportunities with you, but he keeps in mind the fact that maybe you two have just started and maybe that relationship is going nowhere.
“Yes. We’ve been together for four years.” Levi almost chokes on his saliva, but he hid it well.
“Tch, I’m just accompanying you, you don’t have to explain to me.” He said. The truth is that hear you talking about your boyfriend hurts him, hurts a lot. But he has to know who is he. You two keep walking. “Wait, where is he? The boy dorms are on the other side.”
“He said he had a training now.” Levi frowned.
“In which squad is he?” He asked. You explained him the position of Jurian, and his eyes where serious. “There aren’t trainings now, and less of that squad. What the hell is he doing?” You looked at him, confused. Jurian is a good and honest guy, it’s impossible that he is lying. “Are you armed?” you shake your head. “Stay behind me and be quiet, got it?”. You nod and Levi starts walking in silence, followed by you. You could see the doors of the training zone from behind him, and two low voices could be heard. You frowned, trying to recognize any of them. One was laughing. It sounded like a woman.
Levi entered the training zone with silent steps, making sure you two aren’t exposed. He pulls a blade out of its sheath, silently, and makes his way to the control station, where a lamp is on. He walks until he’s in front of the door, the voices now can be heard.
“Is it okay, Rian? I mean, your girlfriend...”
“I told you a hundred times she’s so obsessed with being a good soldier and enter Levi’s squad that she’s useless for me. At least she’s pretty and it’s on a good squad.” That voice... That was Jurian. Your boyfriend. The boy you have been dating for the past four years and a half.
And the boy that is cheating on you.
You started crying. You didn’t care about Levi being in front of you our the people inside the cabin. Levi looked over his shoulder to make sure you’re okay. His gaze went a little bit more sweet when he saw you were crying.
He opened the door with one kick, making the two of them yell. Jurian hugged the girl, and you recognized her. She was also in the cart squad.
“What the heck?”
“Tch, I see now.” Levi takes the belt from your hands, and he trows it in front of Jurian. “For this type of training, you don’t need a belt, you bastard.” Levi put his blade again on its sheath. “Do you have something to say?”
“We... wait, why is she here?” He looks at you. Your anger starts to rise at lightning speed.
“You’re a disgrace, Jurian”
“Oh, wait, she’s your girlfriend? I thought it was the girl you were kissing a year ago.” The girl says. You look at her.
“What?” A year ago? So this is not new? You feel your tears running. Levi clicks his tongue once again.
“Look, bastard. You’ll  be cleaning horse shit from now on, and I’ll put in your position someone who takes his job seriously and does not dedicate himself to being unfaithful and flirting with all the women of the regiment”
Jurian opened his mouth before starting to yell.
“You’re no one to give me orders! and I will not tolerate disrespect towards my person withou...”
“I’m tired of hearing you.” Levi kicked Jurian’s knee with strength, making him fall. He growled. “Now, do what I said, because I’ll remind you in case you have forgotten: I’m your Captain. I can give you orders and beat your ass up if you’re being disrespectful towards a comrade.” he says. Jurian tries to get up, failing a couple times, and the girl he was with runs before being scolded by Levi. “Now go.”
“But I’m taking my girlfriend with me.” he says.
“I’m not your girlfriend.”
“We haven’t broke up yet.”
“Huh?” Levi asks. “Do you think she wants to see your face again? Let's go." He says to you. You nod.
"You're really going with him without hearing an explanation?" Jurian says from the floor. You stop, looking at him, but Levi reaches your hand.
It's well-known that Captain Levi avoids all type of contact, so his hand holding yours surprised you. You followed him, letting Jurian behind. Once you have walked a while, Levi stops.
"Are you okay?" he asks. You have your eyes wet, almost crying again. Levi remembers his hand on yours and lets it go. "Well, I'm sorry you saw that."
"Better for me watching it. At least now i know he wasn't a good guy."
"He's a bastard and he doesn't deserve a girl that cares that much." he says. You look at him but he starts to walk again. You follow him. "Go straight to your room, talk with your friends and rest a bit." he says. "I'll go notice Erwin about the use of the training camp on free hours." You nod and Levi scans your face. "You're okay?" he asks again. You nod and show him a little smile. He turns back.
That smile was about to kill him. You returned to you room, the three voices yelling could be heard from outside.
"We should go and search her!" Sasha says.
"But she's with her boyfriend, let her have fun" This time is Connie
"But don't you think she has been outside for a while?" Jean agrees with Sasha. You open the door and the three of them sigh. "How was it?" Jean asks. Your eyes are still wet and your breath isn't rhythmic.
"He was cheating on me. For years." They all looked at you. Connie and Sasha shared a gaze before hugging you. "Did you said something to he?"
"Fortunately, Captains Levi was with me... I'll have to thank him tomorrow." Jean moved his enormous body to yours, and covered you with a hug after Sasha and Connie ended. Your friends, well, you four had a special friendship, and you couldn't be more thankful for having them by your side.
The next day, when you knocked on the official's room searching for Levi, Hange smiled at you.
"He went today on a little expedition with Erwin. He's going to return on a couple hours. Do you want to help me cleaning the titan's place while you wait?"
You didn't want, but Hange looked so happy you couldn't say no. After a couple hours, nobody told you two that the expedition came back. An hour later, there was no sign of return. Another hour later, you two were about to lose your nerves when a cadet entered running.
"Only fifteen from the twenty that went are back, and all of them are injuried, we need help!"
Hange and you ran from the titan's experiment zone to the improvised hospital. There, a lot of soldiers where laying on beds, with several injuries. Levi was leaning against the wall. You walked towards him and he looked at you.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
"Are you okay?" you asked at the same time. You had that natural impulse to worry about everybody, but now that Levi helped you, you felt a debt to him.
"I'm okay." he says, but he has a long cut in the abdomen, it even tore his shirt from the deep.
"Would you let me help, Captain? I have a little knowledge of injuries, and the one on your abdomen looks bad." He looked at it and clicked his tonge.
"If it is okay for you..." He walks to a empty room and sits on the bed. You look at him, examinating the cut. "Do you need me to undress?" he asks. You nod silently and he starts to unbotton his shirt. His head was a mess. He's not working with normality since he's about to have your hands on his nude body. "Just the shirt, no?" you look at the cut now that it is discovered. A little bit of it is hidden under his pants, but nothing to die for. You nod again while threading the needle. "Have you stitched a wound before?"
"Yes, I helped Connie and Jean a couple times." Levi looks at you, but when you turn around and your eyes meet, he looks through the window. You clean his wound with a little bit of water before start stitching it. You work on silence and Levi is really quiet, not like the other two boys. You let your eyes look his skin. It isn't smooth or soft, full of scars and poorly healed wounds. You kept working on the cut, Levi's face showing pain. His skin was hot against your fingers. Captain Levi has been always a role model for you.
His abilities on battle and the way he speaks to you make you think of him as a true captain. Connie is lowkey scared of him and Sasha says that he's superior to all the army together. Levi could be distant sometimes, but you never experienced that before. The way he always assists your kills and helps you when you're in danger says a lot about him. His grey eyes were fixed on your face, concentrated on making a good work on his skin.
"Does it hurt?" you ask, your voice lowered because of the concentration.
"No." he simply answers. You where about to end stitching. Once you're finished, you cut the restant thread and clean it a bit with water. "Thanks."
"Thanks to you, Levi." his heart shaked. You didn't use Captain before his name. You where treating him like a person, not like a superior. "For helping me yesterday."
"It was nothing." he says, simply. He pulls a shirt out of a nearby ark and dresses carefully. "So you wanted to enter my squad?" he asks, trying to lighten the mood. You look at him, surprised. It's the first time Levi tries to hold a conversation and he remembers what Jurian said yesterday night.
"Yes, that's why I worked so hard." you explain. Jean, Connie and Sasha are part of it, and with Levi as the Captain, they were recognized everywhere. "I really admire the way you fight and help the soldiers. I really wanted to be part of the Special Operation Squad." His face is serious, but he's regretting telling Hange inside. They were who told Erwin, and Erwin decided to put you on a squad where Levi has no business, to avoid him from get distracted or give his life for yours. Damn.
"Actually, I need someone with your strength on battle." he says. He's lying, with him and Mikasa in the same squad... "Move to our squad with your friends." he sounds indifferent, but he's so nervous his soul is about to leave his body. You looked directly at him, happy.
"For real?" That expresion, oh man. You have destroyed the Captain with it. You are so beautiful, looking at him with your eyes sparkling from happiness. "She's so close" he thinks, but then he retracts himself. "No, Levi, no." He just wanted to hug you and tell you he was going to reach you no matter what, and be there for you every time you needed him. He (surprisingly) wanted to kiss you softly to feel you melt against his body and look at your eyes sparkling for the rest of his life.
But he nods. He just nods. You smile at him and bow in signal of respect. "Thanks, Captain!"
"I'll talk to Hange, don't worry about it. Oh, and you can call me Levi. Formalisms are only for threathening." You let out a quite laugh. He kind of smiles, and you tell him how he should take care of the stitches ("I had my wounds stitched before, y/n") before leaving to tell your friends you four are going to train together starting next week.
Hange was sad because you left their team, but they were also happy because a boy who really likes titans entered on your place. In any way, you promised Hange to keep in touch with them.
The trainings with Levi's Squad were hard, but they where worth it. The first day, Levi told you to watch their training, and you were amazed by the way they train. Connie and Sasha making double surprise attacks; Jean and his superior ODMG control and leadership; Eren learning to use his titan form with Mikasa having his back, and Armin making strategic plans on a second. And Levi. The grace of his body, the speed and the strenght, the precision of his cuts. The first day you trained, Levi destined you to Jean's sub-captaincy, but, when he was observing you, he thought maybe you where the one with whom he could make the most effective double maneuvers. So you two started to train together, as a team of two. At first it was difficult for you, Levi is just a born soldier, and your abilities have been born of effort. But, you learned from him, and you quickly joined his movements. He was surprised by the way you understood his next movements without telling you. Months later, you two are on complete sync. He's comfortable with you, but the fact that now he talks with you every day, spend every single minute with you and also works with you is making him go insane. All this months of couple training and couple missions made you understood that Levi really cares for all of you, from Eren to Sasha, and he's having your back on every kill, on every assistance, on everything. All the times you ran out of gas or your blades weren't working well. When a titan tryied to kill you or the times you cried because of the death of your comrades. All those times, he was there for you, holding your hand, letting you cry on his neck or smiling to you after a good mission. The fact that, for the first time, you had someone who understands you and who really cares for you by your side, make your heart flutter.
"You're not going to ask her out?" Hange asked Levi. He clicked his tongue but stayed on silence. On the other hand, Jean was following you to your room.
"You like Levi." he said. You blushed and looked at your friend.
"N-No! Jean, the fuck?!" He laughed but raised an eyebrow in your direction.
"Oh, come on! I'm your best friend, you're obviously falling for the Captain. And I bet he's attracted to you." Your blush increased. But, maybe you liked Levi? You thought. It wasn't impossible. He always treated you so good, and his attractive face and his perfect body... Maybe you were falling slowly for the Captain... For the way you feel protected, important and adored when he fights with you, or the intimacy when you heal each other after a mission. The way he talks to you, and he listens all your ideas. You feel somehow important when he's areound you. Jean smiled slowly. "Go and tell him." You looked at your best friend with surprise. "You like him, for godness sake, you should tell him!" All this months, a little love flame has been increasing on your heart, little by little, but Jean's words made you realice you're about to burn.
You like Levi. You like your Captain.
"And if he rejects me?" Jean laughed before hugging you.
"Then he's a dork. But then keep things profesional. But I'm 100% sure he feels the same. Now go!" You follow Jean's advice and search Levi on the trees, were he was standing guard four months ago. You found him on the same tree, in the exact same position. He laughs when he sees you.
"You're going to return a belt?" he asks. You laugh while he goes down the tree. You shake your head.
"Actually I was searching you." Your hands were sweating and you couldn't make eye contact. He noticed that.
"It's everything okay?" He asked. You nod.
"It's just... What do you think of Captain-Subordinated relationships?"
"They have to be respectful to each other, I guess... Wait, did I made something wrong" You shake your head. Damn, this was hard. Killing a titan was a hundred times easier. "Then?" he was running out of patience.
"Maybe I started liking you, Captain Levi."
He had to blink twice. All the little Levi's working on his head were about to start a fire on his brain. "What?" he asked. His hands were about to tremble, but he hid it while asking you again. "What did you said?" You looked at him, but his face was unreadable, as usual.
"That I like you. Romantically talking. I just wanted to tell you, but now we can keep things profesional and this never happened, but I wanted to be honest with you and with myself." You stretch your hand towards him, and he keeps looking at you, but then he starts laughing. You don't understand anything. Like why the hell is he laughing? Does he think a love declaration is funny? But he looks at you.
"For years, I liked you for five fucking years. I still like you. Hange told me to forget you but I was unable. So I guess all my effort has been rewarded with a caring and pretty girl?" You laugh nervous, is he pranking you? But he's serious. His hand takes yours, but he pulls you towards him. "I cared for you and tried to call your attention, and then discovered you where with that boy. But you didn't deserve what he dis to you. I wanted to kick his soul out so bad. Why he, that had you, was looking for others and make you feel bad? Tch, he was lucky you were there." His hands searched yours. "I'm not a huge fan of physical contact, but every time you healed me I just could think of your hands in all my body. And sorry, but I really like you."
You both stayed in silence for a bit. So it was corresponding? And now? You're dating? You're going to keep things distant?
"So you think we should keep things like we have been doing?" He frowned.
"The hell, y/n? No. If we both like each other, isn't that how relationships start?" he was right. "Unless you don't want to."
"I was the one telling you first, of course I want."
"Cool. Should we discuss this drinking a cup of tea?" He asks. You nod before taking his hand, and looking for his reaction, you tangled your fingers with his. He smiled and took you hand to his lips.
"Let's go, Levi."

Finding Love (Part 1)
POV: You're part of a co-ed K-pop group called Boyz and Girlz aka BGZ, which consists of 11 boys and 3 girls. The 3 girls are Hyeri (97 liner), Eli (98 liner), and Y/N, maknae of the whole group. The girls dorm is a small apartment slightly apart from the boys for privacy, but it is connected to the boys dorm by a common living room, and there's also a shared kitchen to promote good team-work.
The whole dorm was quiet when you got home from your morning walk with Sunwoo and Eric. Haknyeon was in the kitchen half eating, half asleep. Everyone else was probably at the gym. It was a free day for you guys but no one ever really slept in on off days except for Eric who you had forced to wake up, that boy is one hell of a heavy sleeper.
"I'm gonna go back to sleep," Eric muttered.
"Ew, take a shower first." You told him, "And don't fall asleep in there."
"No promises."
You head back to your room to wash up, then headed back to get something to eat. Haknyeon was face-down on the table when you went to the kitchen, you gently wake him up to tell him to head back to his room. He complies easily and you giggle at the way he walks like a zombie.
"I'm gonna play some games today, wanna join?" Sunwoo asked.
"Maybe later, I wanted to do a V-Live today."
Sunwoo and Eric were your bestfriends, you were in the same class and went to the same school before you all graduated together. It was because of them that you didn't have much girlfriends, because you always hung out with either them or their guy friends.
"I'm home!" You heard Juyeon shout as he slammed the door.
"No one cares!" Sunwoo shouted back as he headed back to his room with two juice pouches.
"Wanna do a live with me?" You asked Juyeon as he comes into the kitchen.
"Sure," He replied immediately.
Your oppas and unnies rarely said no to you, and you had to admit you were a brat sometimes but they loved you anyway. You loved them just the same.
"Where is everybody?" He asked you surprised at the quietness of the dorm.
"I don't know, probably at the gym. Sunwoo's playing games, and Eric and Haknyeon are sleeping."
"So everything's still the same."
"You were gone for a week oppa, not a whole year."
He smiled that little smile that the fans loved so much. It really did make him look like a little cat boy, well not so little. Juyeon had gone home for a week for his cousin's marriage, and you had to admit that even though it was just a week as you mentioned, you had really missed him. Juyeon was the type of person who paid attention to the people around him, he adored all of you and always showed it even though he himself might not be aware.
"I'll go wash up, come when you wanna do it."
"Aren't you hungry?"
"I'll just order some food later."
"Order for me too."
"I thought you already ate."
"Yeah, but I wanna eat again. Chicken okay?"
He laughed, "Okay, aegi."
It was a nickname that Sunwoo had started for you because you were the maknae, regardless of the fact that he was only a few months older than you. They all babied you so you couldn't help feeling like their baby sometimes.
The members all arrived home as you were about to head to Juyeon's room for the live, and the chaos that ensues when all the members were home immediately started. Chanhee and Changmin were bickering about which one of them was supposed to buy milk while Sunwoo was shouting at Kevin in the room not to disturb him, Kevin was also a brat sometimes.
"Y/N, is Juyeon home?" Hyeri asked you amidst the chaos.
"Yeah, we're gonna do a live."
"Okay, you guys can have this."
She hands you two big slices of cake. Apparently they all went shopping for food after going to the gym. You stand there, plate in your hand, confused.
"What's this for?" You asked, they rarely bought cake unless it was for someone's birthday.
"Just a special treat, no reason." Sangyeon answered.
"Okay," You shrugged as you head to Juyeon's room. "They're so loud, but I can't even complain."
Juyeon laughs at you knowing what you mean. You were one of the noisiest members so you couldn't even really complain about the chaos. However, there were times you wished for some peace.
"Are you ready?"
"Yeah."
He starts the live and the viewers tune in little by little. You could see a lot of ship comments but of course you had to pretend not to see some of them. Shippers were inevitable, especially being a co-ed group. All of you were constantly paired together, but you had noticed lately how many comments there were about you and Juyeon.
"Everyone, should we do a question and answer round today?"
Juyeon and you took turns to read and answer questions. Most of them were about new songs or our current favourite dramas or songs, and even asking you to sing. Then there were the ones asking about other members, and then the shippers, the ones who made you most nervous. Juyeon had always been surprisingly good at handling these, he was natural. The things he's good at he was really good, but if there's something he was bad at, the boy was utter chaos.
"Pose for screenshots," You read a comment that had popped up several times.
Juyeon immediately leaned over to do a heart with you, and you complied. You did little winks and acted cute, of course the fans loved that and it made Juyeon smile, which warmed your heart. If it was any other member they would've playfully cringed at you but Juyeon was just too sweet.
You end the live after about an hour, now a little hungry so you both order some chicken and coke. You lie down on his bed as he pulls you into a tight hug that had you gasping for air. The whole group was pretty cuddly and free with skinship, but Juyeon had these moments where he would just pull someone into a tight bear hug and wouldn't let go until the latter struggled hard against him. He really enjoyed it and the boy was strong so it was close to impossible to break away sometimes.
"Oppa!" You whine as he tightened the hug around you.
He smiles cheekily as you struggled to pull out. Hyunjae comes in to see your struggle.
"Ah not again," He says as he slaps Juyeon's butt.
"Hyung!"
"What?"
"This is fun."
"Yah!"
You protest as they both laugh at you struggling and he finally lets you go.
"Ah so annoying," You mutter as they both smile at you.
"Your chicken is here, we're not paying!" Kevin calls out to you.
"Let me eat too." Hyunjae immediately says as he hears the words chicken.
"Pay for half." You retort back.
"What? That's not fair."
"Yes it is, because you'll probably eat half for yourself." Juyeon replies as he comes in with the chicken.
Hyunjae just laughs not bothering to deny it.
"Eat up aegi, you have to grow more." Juyeon teases you.
In addition to being the youngest, you were also the smallest and shortest. You weren't that short though, the rest of your other members were just too tall, that included Hyeri and Eli who were taller than the average female K-pop idol.
"I always eat well."
Hyunjae cleans up in exchange for not paying, but you let it go since neither you and Juyeon now felt like moving. You both lay down on his bed looking up at the wall, then he takes your hand. Your heart skips a beat catching you off-guard.
Its not like you haven't held hands before, you did it all the time with him and all the other members too and never felt any different. Maybe its just because we're being close and intimate like this, you try to reason with yourself. You almost stop breathing when Juyeon suddenly turns his head to look at you.
"You feel that too don't you?" He asks as he clasps his fingers with yours.
Your heart starts beating faster as he waits for you to answer. Your thoughts are all jumbled up as you stare back at him, your eyes widening and blinking a few times, flustered.
"If you look at me like that I can't think," You finally tell him.
He lays his head back down on the pillow, one hand behind his head and closing his eyes. He holds your hand with your palm against his face as he lets out a sigh.
"I've been feeling it for a while." He tells you. "I confirmed it when I went home, I missed you so much."
You stay quiet at his confession, still in shock. You tried to process everything all at once but it was impossible. The two of you stay like that in silence for a while, the sound of Juyeon slowly breathing in and out helped you calm down. After some time, you muster up enough courage to get up and rest yourself on his chest, and he opens his eyes.
"I think I like you too," You barely manage to whisper.
He gives you a soft smile as he tucks your hair behind your ear, and caresses your cheeks. You put your hand over his hand as you look into his eyes. The same feeling of warmth spread all over you as it always did when you looked at him smile.
How did you not notice it before, this kind of warmth wasn't something you felt with the other members. It was exclusively a feeling associated with Juyeon. He was always there for you, especially during the time when Hwall, a close friend, had to leave the group. You remembered how hard it was for you when he decided to leave due to his injuries, those sleepless nights you spent in front of the T.V. trying to accept reality. Times when even Sunwoo and Eric were at a loss for words, it was always Juyeon who stayed right beside you and lent you a shoulder to cry on.
"Y/N," The door opens then quickly closes with Hyeri exclaiming, "Oh sh*t sorry-"
You both quickly sit up on the bed as she closes the door and disappears, she probably thought you were kissing or something. The atmosphere was tense as you sheepishly turn to look at Juyeon who was running his hand through his hair in slight confusion. As he sees you looking at him he gives you his signature smile, assuring you that you had nothing to be worried about.
Kinda lame and unrealistic cause it was something that suddenly popped into my head but oh well, a girl can dream right?
Thank you for taking time to read it. <3

Hide and Seek
For Gruvia Week 2021: Day 3 - Discovery
Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 4
Pairing: Gruvia (Gray Fullbuster & Juvia Lockser) Fandom: Fairy Tail Genre: Romance/Humor Word Count: 4,424 words Summary: It was safe to say that this wasn't the way Gray envisioned revealing their relationship to anyone. You may also read it on FanFiction.net and AO3! Check out my master list for other Gruvia fics.
The smell of curry wafted through his bedroom before he heard her call his name.
"Gray-sama! Lunch is ready!"
Really, he would have been happy with a couple of caramade franks delivered to his doorstep. But Juvia would hear none of it, saying he ought to eat healthier homecooked meals whenever he could—an indirect way of telling him that she would cook for him every chance she got. And even though Gray protested that Juvia was unnecessarily tiring herself out, she was the type of person who would go through all the trouble to make him happy. Even if that meant cooking a full meal of his favorite food the day after she just got back from a week-long mission.
Clad only in his boxers, Gray got up from his bed and made his way to his apartment's dining area. It wasn't much, just a square wooden table large enough to seat two people (or four, if you cramp them in). He watched as Juvia—wearing only his shirt that looked too large on her delicate frame—prepared the table, making sure to put extra curry sauce over his rice like she knew he loved.
Juvia moved her chair to the corner of the table so that she was sitting next to him, their arms and knees touching.
"Tsk! Why are you sitting so far from me?" Gray grumbled, pretending to be annoyed.
Juvia glanced at him, confusion evident on her face. "What is Gray-sama talking about? Juvia is almost on your lap." Even so, she moved closer to him so that they were almost squished together.
"But you're not."
With a mischievous smile playing on his lips, Gray picked Juvia up like a plushie and sat her on his lap. She shrieked and instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck.
"Now that's better," he grinned, one arm around her waist and another across her lap, his fingers palming her exposed guild mark.
"Gray-sama!" Juvia scolded him, a healthy shade of pink blooming on her pale cheeks. "Juvia and Gray-sama should be eating. We already skipped breakfast!"
"So?" He ignored her weak protests as he tightened his hold on her waist and buried his head at the crook of her neck, leaving a wet kiss just below her ear. He could feel her fingers gripping the hair on his nape as he trailed kisses down her neck.
"Gray-sama..."
It was supposed to be a plea to let her go, but it came out huskier than Juvia intended, causing a tightness in Gray's boxers. With all the energy she could muster, Juvia pushed him away and cradled his head between her hands so that she could look him in the eyes.
"Gray-sama needs to eat so he can have more energy—" she kissed him on the lips—"to satisfy Juvia." She sported a sweet, innocent smile, but there was an unmistakably playful glint in her eyes.
Gray smirked. "Am I not satisfying you, huh?" He kissed her hard before she could even answer, and Juvia tried her best not to melt into a puddle right then and there.
"You are," Juvia said between kisses. "But Gray-sama and Juvia need to eat. Our last meal was last night."
"But I only want to eat you," Gray whispered as he nibbled at her ear, his hand sliding dangerously between her legs. Juvia tried to protest, but her voice came out so weak as Gray trailed kisses on her cheek and covered her mouth with his.
A couple of knocks made both of them jump.
"Are you expecting someone, Gray-sama?" Juvia asked, finally getting a chance to pull away, but not enough to completely escape.
"No," Gray mumbled. He couldn't care less as he continued planting wet kisses on Juvia's cheeks, down to her jaws and neck. If he ignored whoever was at the door, that person would surely go away.
A louder set of knocks pounded on his door.
Collecting as much willpower as she could possibly get (given that Gray was practically lapping her up like a cold popsicle on a blazing hot day), Juvia hopped off Gray's lap and straightened herself.
"Gray-sama should answer that."
"C'mon, Juvs," Gray whined, hating how she was suddenly out of his reach. He tried grabbing her wrist, but she quickly pulled her hands to her chest and pointed towards the door. He felt the urge to punch whoever was on the other side.
That bastard won't even know what's coming.
Sighing, Gray started to make his way towards the door when a barrage of knocks once again threatened to take his door off the hinges. It was followed by a voice that sent a chill down his spine.
"Open up, Fullbuster!"
It only took a second for Juvia to recognize the familiar voice and cover her mouth with her hands.
"Erza-san? What's she doing here?"
"How would I know? I told her I was sick!" Gray said, careful not to raise his voice. Not only did he lie to Erza and his whole team so that he could skip their mission—he did it so he could spend time with Juvia, his secret girlfriend for about a month now. After all, she just got back from a mission herself, and they had barely spent three full days with each other since they got together as they were whisked away to mission after mission—he with Team Natsu and she with Gajeel and Lily.
For goodness' sake, they deserved their 'alone time' together. And by that, he meant getting away from the prying eyes of his guildmates.
It wasn't like anyone would be disappointed to learn that he and Juvia were going out. In fact, he was quite sure he would have to endure merciless teasing from pretty much everyone in the guild for at least a couple of weeks when they found out about them.
It was just that with Juvia right here—in his home, wearing only his shirt and her skimpy lacy panties that barely covered her bum—it was safe to say that this wasn't the way he envisioned revealing their relationship to anyone.
"Gray! We brought food." It was Lucy this time.
He took a deep breath. Okay, you just have to show them you're fine and they'll leave you alone. Turning to Juvia, he said, "Hide. In my room. Now."
Juvia nodded and noiselessly scurried off to Gray's room. Though hiding their relationship for the meantime was more of Gray's idea than hers, she definitely didn't want to reveal it by getting caught half-naked in his apartment.
Another series of pounding brought Gray's attention back to his front door. "Gray, I swear if you don't open this right now, I will—"
Gray opened the door and came face to face with a worried Lucy and a frowning Erza, both carrying huge brown paper bags brimming with snacks and fruits.
"Thanks for visiting, but I'm fine. You can go," Gray said in a flat tone. Well, if he wanted to continue his make-out session with his girlfriend, he better get down to business right away and cut his friends' visit as short as possible.
"Hello to you, too," Erza answered the cranky ice mage. Without being invited in, she sidestepped Gray and walked straight to the kitchen, setting down the paper bag she was carrying. Lucy followed, muttering, "Geez, thanks for the warm welcome," and started taking out the food they brought with them.
"Seriously, what are you two doing here?" he asked as he followed them into the kitchen.
"We're being good friends, dummy," Lucy answered him. "You're sick, so we thought we'd make sure you're okay."
"Well, I'm okay. You didn't have to go out of your way for this."
"And just let you starve to death?" Erza asked. Everyone knew Gray couldn't cook an egg to save his life. She found a box of medicines in the grocery bag and tossed it to Gray.
"That doesn't seem to be the case, though," Lucy quipped, her hand holding a barely eaten bowl of curry. "Someone must have already stopped over to cook for Gray."
Gray gulped and tried his best to keep a straight face.
"You know, this tastes like the curry Juvia cooks for us in Fairy Hills," Erza remarked after tasting the dish, a crease forming on her brows.
Oh no, Gray thought. How did Juvia's name come up all of a sudden? And how the hell would he steer the conversation around? His mind drew up a blank, fixated on the fact that Juvia was just a few feet away from being found and he couldn't do a single thing about it.
"Did Juvia drop by this morning to bring you food, Gray?" Lucy asked in a teasing tone, a naughty glint in her eyes.
"Y-yes! Yes, that's what she did!" Gray answered, a little too eagerly. "And then she left right away. For a mission. For three days. Yeah, that's it. She won't be back for three days." Mentally, he thanked Lucy for giving him that perfectly plausible scenario.
"Really? I'm surprised she didn't insist on taking care of you," Erza said. Gray smirked as he remembered all the ways Juvia took care of him since last night.
"Yeah, that's so unlike Juvia, isn't it?" Lucy said, her hand cradling her chin like she was deep in thought. Her eyes shot up to Gray, making beads of sweat form on his forehead. "Are you sure you're not hiding her in your apartment?"
"W-what?!" A furious blush adorned Gray's cheeks. "Why would you think that?!"
He must have looked so exasperated as both girls broke into a fit of laughs.
"I'm just kidding, Gray. You're so fun to tease," Lucy said, while Erza placed her hand on his forehead and said, "I think your fever shot up again."
"Sh-shut up," Gray said, swatting Erza's hand and reverting to his usual poker face. He took a seat and grabbed one of the plates, taking a mouthful of rice in his mouth. Now that Juvia wasn't within arm's reach, he was starting to feel hungry. After all, it had been more than 12 hours since he last ate.
And Juvia, too.
"Look, I'm grateful for all your help, but I'd really like to be alone and rest," he said, trying to sound as convincing as possible. "I can totally handle myself."
"Aww, don't be like that! We were just teasing you," Lucy said as she sat next to him. She took the other plate of curry and started eating. "This is really good! I haven't tasted Juvia's curry before."
Noticing that Lucy was eating Juvia's share, Gray blurted, "Don't eat that!"
Lucy just rolled her eyes. "Chill lover boy, there's more than enough here for everyone."
"Can't believe you're not just overprotective of Juvia. You're also super protective of her food," Erza taunted as she got her own plate and started putting food on it.
Gray sighed. What should I do to make these two leave?
"Yeah, you're all protective but you're not doing anything about it. Juvia is a patient girl, but you never know when she'd get tired of waiting for you."
"Might be soon." Gray glowered at Erza, but she ignored him and added, "Mira saw her giggling and blushing at her lacrima several times while we were on a mission."
"Come to think of it, you're sick, yet she left on a three-day mission?" Lucy surmised and Erza nodded. "Perhaps she already found someone who would actually appreciate her."
Gray balled his fists under the table. Even though his friends had no idea that he was actually the one Juvia was talking to via lacrima during their mission, he couldn't help but feel a bit mad that they would think Juvia's affections would sway that easily.
"Juvia would never betray me," he snapped before he could even think.
"Betray you?" Lucy raised her eyebrows.
"Why would you call it betrayal? Is she your girlfriend?" Erza narrowed her eyes at him.
"Juvia's not my girlfriend! I don't care about her!" Gray blurted.
It was really more out of impulse than anything else, but he immediately regretted his words when he heard a loud crash from his bedroom.
"What was that?" Erza asked, a sword suddenly materializing in her hand. Lucy grabbed her keys, and both girls stood up and went to the direction of Gray's bedroom.
Oh, fuck.
Gray jumped in front of the two girls with outstretched arms, blocking their way. "Calm down! I'll go check it."
"No, you stay here," Erza said in that no-nonsense tone that would have normally made Gray freeze on the spot, if Juvia's life (and their secret relationship) weren't on the line. He grabbed her arm.
"That's my bedroom, okay? I'll check and you'll both stay here."
It all happened so fast. One moment he was holding onto Erza's arm, and the next thing he knew, she had escaped from his grasp and was heading towards his bedroom just as Lucy turned the knob...
"Stop!"
"Gotcha!" Lucy yelled as she barged into Gray's bedroom, the requip mage right behind her. Erza's eyes darted from the bed to the closet to the tightly shut windows, like a predator looking for its prey. Lucy pulled back his messy sheets and opened his cabinet with a vigor that he seldom saw in the woman. Why does she look so excited?
There was no trace of any living creature anywhere.
A wave of relief washed over Gray when the two women stopped rummaging around his room. Still, he couldn't shake off his worry as he thought of his girlfriend. Did she just manage to hide so well? Or was she attacked? Just the thought of someone laying a hand on Juvia made his stomach turn to knots.
"How could this fall for no reason?" Lucy wondered aloud as she picked up the intact plastic lamp on the floor right beside the bed. She also sneaked a peek under the bed, making Gray's heart thump loudly. But the frown on her face as she got up made it clear that she didn't find anyone there, either.
Sighing loudly, Gray said, "Alright, show's over. No one's here, so get out of my room and let me fix some stuff here." Erza and Lucy exchanged quick glances but didn't resist when Gray pushed them out of his room and slammed the door.
Alone at last, his eyes swept across his disheveled room. "Juvia, where are you?"
"In here, Gray-sama."
A small puddle leaked from under his bed, materializing into Juvia's body. She's safe. He pulled her up towards him.
"Great thinking. I really thought they're gonna catch us. Are you hurt?" Gray asked as he inspected her body. She didn't seem hurt or anything.
"Juvia's okay. She was just caught off guard so she accidentally toppled your bedside lamp." She smiled, but one look at her despondent eyes showed that it wasn't as simple as that. Something was bothering her.
"Was it... because of what I said?"
Honestly, Gray didn't mean anything by it. Saying that Juvia wasn't his girlfriend and that he didn't care for her that way had always been his default defense whenever he was being teased about her. And now it became a habit that wasn't easy to shake off.
When she didn't answer, he sighed. "Come on, you know what I said wasn't true. I just said those things to get them off my back." He captured her hands in his. "I'm sorry."
Smiling at him, she replied, "Juvia understands. Gray-sama should go outside, or Erza-san and Lucy-san would get suspicious."
She still had that forlorn look on her face, which reminded him of how much convincing he had to do when he first bared his feelings for her.
"Juvia's sorry for doubting you, Gray-sama. It's just that he has denied Juvia's love for so long that she finds this all hard to believe. What if she wakes up one day and realizes this isn't real?"
That was when he realized that even though Juvia took his rejections in stride, his words still cut her. He then promised himself to treat her better, not just in actions but also in words.
Even if she was the only one who heard it. She was the only one that mattered, anyway.
Gray moved his hands to her cheeks, cradling her face as they locked eyes. "Hey, you know me, right? You know how I really feel about you?"
Juvia nodded, but he knew the doubts still lingered.
"I love you, Juvia."
And even though he had lost count of how many times he already told her that, her eyes still shone with the same sparkle they had back when she heard those words for the first time.
"Juvia loves you too, Gray-sama."
He gave her a gentle kiss, which would have been perfect and magical were it not for a low grumble coming from Juvia's stomach. She giggled. "Sorry. Juvia's starving."
Gray opened his drawer and handed her a couple of candies. "It's the only edible thing I have here now, but I promise I'll make them leave right away so we can eat together, alright? Just stay quiet." He stole another quick kiss from his girl before he left, careful not to open the door too much.
He found Erza and Lucy huddled together on his couch, keeping their voices low as they talked. When the celestial mage noticed him approaching, she cleared her throat and said, "Hey Gray, are you feeling better already?" She walked towards him and caught his face between her hands, turning his head whichever way and inspecting his body as if looking for some wound or scratch or something.
That was weird alright, but he decided to shrug it off and just focus on the task at hand: kick his annoying friends out of his house.
"I'm good. Get off me," he answered, swatting her hands away. Moving right between the two girls, he draped his arms over their shoulders. "You know, I really appreciate your concern over me, but I can handle myself." He started pushing them towards the door. "I really, really, really want to rest a bit more though—" just a few more steps and he could already reach his front door—"so please leave."
Just when he was about to open the door, the redhead spun around and glared at him. "Hold it. Why are you so anxious to kick us out of your house?"
He froze. "W-well, I told you I'm okay already..."
"Are you sure?" Lucy said, facing him as well. She placed her hand on his forehead and pulled back immediately. "You're burning up!"
"No, I'm not."
He couldn't understand why they kept walking closer and closer to him with an excited look in their eyes. Taking huge steps back until he was almost right outside his bedroom door, he felt like a small kitty getting cornered by two hyenas.
Two crazy, vicious hyenas.
"Perhaps we could give you a sponge bath?" Lucy purred.
"Oh yes, just like when we were kids. I'm sure it'll make you feel all better," Erza added.
"What the hell is wrong with you two?!"
Before Gray could make a run for it, his bedroom door slammed open and a furious Juvia swooshed past him, pinning the two women to the opposite wall.
"LOVE RIVALS!"
But instead of getting scared by the dark aura coming from the water mage, Lucy clapped her hands and let out a delighted squeal. Erza, on the other hand, looked like she had saucers for eyes as she stared right back at the girl glaring daggers at them.
"I knew it!" Lucy yelled. She pointed to Juvia, then Gray. "You two..."
"So, the rumors are true..." Erza muttered to herself, still not believing what she was seeing.
Gray sighed. There was no use hiding things now. And he better do something before his girlfriend water slices two of his best friends.
"Alright, fine." He walked towards them and pried Juvia away from the two girls. "Juvia and I, we're together. Happy?"
That seemed to snap Juvia out of her jealous rage as her head whipped towards Gray. "Gray-sama?"
Lucy let out another squeal, cheeks pink with giddiness. "It's about time! But—" She punched Gray's bare arm.
"Ow! What was that for?"
"Why didn't you tell us?"
"You didn't ask! It's not like I can just blurt it out in the middle of a conversation!"
"Of course you can!" Another punch. "How can you hide this huge thing from us? If Natsu hadn't told us, we wouldn't even know!"
"Natsu-san?" Juvia asked. "Did Gray-sama tell Natsu-san about us? Gray-sama told Juvia not to tell Gajeel-kun," she pouted.
"I didn't tell him, I swear! Why the hell would I tell that idiot about us?"
"Natsu overheard you talking to Juvia on your lacrima," Erza explained as she straightened her blouse and skirt. "Believe it or not, he was able to put two and two together and figure out that you two were dating."
She then narrowed her eyes at Gray. "And of course, it helped that he heard everything, Gray."
Juvia turned a bright tomato red, her hands flying to cover her mouth. Gray blushed, remembering the nights he spent during their last mission sneaking out of his and Natsu's tent, calling Juvia in secret just to ask her how she was doing. His flush deepened as he also remembered the not-so-innocent conversations he shared with Juvia when he thought everyone was asleep.
Damn that dragon slayer's hearing!
"There's just one thing I want to know," Erza said in her serious tone, which made both Gray and Juvia straighten. She cleared her throat. "Juvia... Gray didn't... forcefully take your flower, right?"
Gray, Juvia, and Lucy all turned as red as Erza's hair. Even Erza looked like she wanted to withdraw her very suggestive question as she couldn't stop the blood rushing to her face.
"Do you really have to ask, Erza?" Lucy whispered, her eyes fixed intently on the floor, finding it interesting all of a sudden. "I mean, just look at them..."
Gray gave out an indignant "Hey!" while Juvia literally had steam come out of her ears as she tried to cover her burning face with her hands. Thankfully, she had the presence of mind to wear Gray's boxers before storming out of his room, although Gray wasn't sure that the sight of them—him wearing only his boxers and Juvia wearing his clothes and not hers—could salvage their situation.
"W-well, o-of course I had to ask!" Erza reasoned amid her embarrassment. "I know I taught Gray how to respect women, but if he took advantage of Juvia in any way, I would—"
"Calm down, Erza-san," Juvia said, regaining her composure as she touched the requip mage's arm to try to diffuse the sinister aura starting to emanate from her. "Juvia swears that Gray-sama has been nothing but a gentleman to Juvia."
"Yeah, how could you even think I would take advantage of Juvia?" Gray asked, slightly offended. "We're both consenting adults and we know what we're doing!"
"And I am glad to know that." Erza firmly patted Gray's back, and he thought he was going to cough up blood from the impact.
"So..." Lucy teased, poking Juvia's cheek and smirking. "You two are doing it, huh? You owe us details on our next sleepover, Juvia!"
"Lucy-san!" an embarrassed Juvia exclaimed, once again burying her scarlet face in her hands. Lucy laughed, mumbling something about finally not being falsely accused of being a love rival anymore.
Now that everything was out in the open, Gray cleared his throat and hollered, "Okay, now that we're all good, can you leave us alone now?" He escorted the two girls towards the door once again, and this time, they complied without any protests, finally leaving the couple to their much-awaited alone time.
Gray slumped on his couch. "I'm sorry about all that, Juvia."
"It's not your fault, Gray-sama," Juvia said as she sat beside him and rested her head on his outstretched arms, Gray instinctively pulling her closer. "The whole guild would most likely know about Gray-sama and Juvia before this day ends."
"Yeah."
Juvia sneaked a peek at Gray. "Is Gray-sama okay with that?"
"Well, it's bound to come out sooner or later, right?" Gray answered nonchalantly.
"Juvia is sorry."
Gray looked at his girlfriend, surprised to see her looking a bit down, fiddling with the hem of her shirt. "Why?"
He barely caught what she whispered. "Juvia knows Gray-sama doesn't want anyone to know."
And then, it hit him.
Taking her hand in his, he lifted her chin with his other hand so that she could look at him. "Did you seriously think I'd keep you a secret forever?"
When she didn't reply, he continued. "It's not that I didn't want anyone to know. I just didn't want to make a big deal out of it, announcing it and everything. I thought it would come out naturally, like people would just notice. And I certainly didn't want them to find out this way," he said as he gestured towards their half-naked forms.
Juvia giggled. "Gray-sama probably should not have called Juvia during his mission."
"As if you won't call me," he smirked.
"Juvia just didn't want Gray-sama to miss her too much," Juvia said as she nuzzled closer to him.
"Is that so? But I clearly remember a certain someone jumping into my arms the moment she saw me and telling me how much she missed me."
"And she definitely heard a certain someone say that he missed her, too," Juvia retorted, eyes gleaming at him. "He couldn't even get his hands off Juvia..."
"Hey—"
Juvia shut him up by pressing her lips on his for a long, loving kiss. When they finally went up for air, Gray whispered, "How about we continue where we left off earlier?"
"You mean our late lunch?" Juvia asked innocently.
"Not hungry." But just as Gray said that, his stomach grumbled.
"Oh, really?" Juvia cocked her eyebrows. "Come on, Juvia's hungry, too." With that, she dragged him towards the kitchen, leaving no room for complaints.
Gray let Juvia lead the way, watching her hair flowing down her back like soft ocean waves, all the way down to her long, flawless legs. He smiled.
"Alright. But I'm having you for dessert."
A/N: This came out WAY later than I expected. It was one of those stories that started out really good in my head, but the actual writing process turned out to be a pain in the neck. Now I'm just embarrassed to tag this as Gruvia Week 2021 because I'm more than a month late, lol. But I still would because I'm shameless like that, haha.

Shine {Tom Cruise x Reader One Shot}
Requested by: @beatlebabe1996 Wordcount: 2236 Summary: Great food, great dancing, and a bit of jealousy - what more could a date need?
As early 2000s as this was about the sound - the club was popping. It wasn’t the usual sort of club filled with twenty years grinding on one another with barely distinguishable beats playing in the background. It was a Latin club, with food and dancing and drink. The spice of the food was rivaled by the spice of the band that was playing tonight. This was where you felt the most in your element, this was your place. And that was why you had brought your date here tonight. It was also relatively low-key, where most of the people were focused on the band and the chef rather than the patrons. Something that your date for the night, a Mr. Tom Cruise, appreciated. You recommended a dish for him and that was what he had ordered - a definitely win in your books. You liked a man who was adventurous and yet trusting. He knew that you knew what you were doing.
Tumblr media
“So you come here often then?” Tom asked, leaning back in his chair. He had shed his leather jacket to show the red button up shirt that he was wearing. It was tight on the arms, showing off the muscles that his constant work-out routine had produced. The color was great too, it added a little Latin flair to him. Your own outfit matched almost perfectly.
“I’m a regular,” You admitted, leaning in, playing with the straw of your drink. “The staff all know me by name here. It’s how I knew that we would be safe. They don’t care about celebrities so they won’t be posting anything on social media about your visit.”
“Our visit,” Tom laughed, taking a drink of his beer. “You seem more like the celebrity here. Even the band has been looking at you.”
“It’s rare that I  sit down this long,” You admitted. Your eyes caught that of the waitress coming around, your food on her platter. You straightened up and licked your lips, more than ready for the meal.
“What do you mean?” Tom asked, straightening himself up as well. There was a smile, and then thank yous to the waitress, and forks were picked up.
“Oh, I hit the dance floor,” You grinned, a sparkle in your eye. “That’s one of the best reasons to come here. The music, the dancing, the atmosphere. You get a good coupe of people on that floor, the whole place will be moving. Are you up for the challenge after we eat?”
“I don’t know if I’m going to be able to stand after all of this,” Tom laughed, digging into the food on his plate. You chuckled along with him, but remained hopeful. Dancing was one of your absolute favorite things to do, and not to toot your own horn, but you were good at it. No matter how handsome or famous this man was, he wasn’t going to be able to get into your heart without taking a few steps.
“Is that so?” He asked. You nodded, and watched as he took his first bite. You were waiting with bated breath to find out if he enjoyed it as much as you hoped that he would. He chewed thoughtfully, swallowed, then took a sip of water. “Spicy,” He explained. You nodded again, and continued to look, waiting for an opinion and not a fact. “It’s really good.”
“I knew you would think so!” You stabbed your fork into your own food, cutting off a piece for your consumption. “The food here is the best too. It’s the most underrated restaurant in the city, but it’s kind of great that way. No lines to get in. Plenty of room for dancing. And the food never takes too long to get to the table.”
“My kinda place,” Tom said with a grin. You two ate in relative silence, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. It was just two people enjoying a meal, and each others company. Every time that his foot bumped against yours under the table, though, you felt like you were going to start blushing. You thought about saying something about it but decided to just let the moment be that - a moment, without you ruining it. “Should we get dessert?” He asked after you two finished eating, picking up the small dessert menu that was on the table. You were about to recommend one of the items when you were interrupted.
“Y/N!” One of the waiters, Antonio said, coming up to your table. “I just noticed you were here. I got assigned to the left section tonight. How are you doing? You look amazing tonight.”
“Oh hey, thank you. I tried my best. Date and all,” You said with a grin, looking over at Tom. He chuckled, and looked back at the dessert menu. “How are you doing, Antonio?”
“Same old, same old. Just got on my break.” He said, looking between you and Tom with a grin. He raised his eyebrow at you as if to say, ‘Really? You bagged Tom Cruise?’ To which you just replied with a confident nod and a smirk in return. “I was going to ask if you wanted to dance, but since you’re busy, I’ll go and find Gabriella-”
“And get your toes trod on?” You asked in horror. You loved the bartender, she was a complete sweetheart and always full of laughs, but she was a horrible dancer. “Do you mind, Tom? At the very least, let me help save this guys feet.”
“Not at all,” Tom said, still perusing the menu, though it was rather short. He must be reading through the ingredients or something. “I’m excited to see your moves.”
Tumblr media
“Better watch then,” You winked daringly at him, before allowing yourself to be lead to the dance floor. Normally you wouldn’t let even wild horses drag you from a date, especially from someone as good looking, kind and charming as Tom. But this was also a chance to show off for him.
Dancing had been an outlet for you all of your life. It gave you a sense of control over your body that you could feel good about, especially when you had been a teenager and it felt like you didn’t have control over anything. It brought on a confidence that you needed to get to where you were in life. And that confidence landed you a date with one of the best men that the city, perhaps even the world, had to offer. The fame wasn’t a bonus to you, the attention wasn’t something that you craved. It was just him as a person, and you felt so completely lucky that he even looked at you twice. You didn’t even know that he felt the same way about you.
The band started up a beat with a strong rhythm and a quick tempo. It was perfect for Salsa dancing, which was exactly what you wanted. You and Antonio both knew the moves like the back of your hand, which meant you didn’t have to waste time worrying about getting everything right. You could just relax and have some fun.
Your heels clicked against the hardwood floors of the restaurant as you danced with Antonio. You started apart, and then slowly came together, a familiarity between the two of you because you had been friends for so long. You had been dancing together since you started coming here as a teenager, when he had just been a bus boy. You shimmied your hips as you two spun around one another, under each other’s arms, him dipping you, back and forth. It was a very sexy way of dancing. A very sensual and fiery dance. But you kept things under control, making sure not to get too close. You did have your date watching after all.
Your eyes kept flickering over to him to see that he was watching very intently. In fact, there was a look on his face that was almost jealousy. He couldn’t stop looking at you. Even as you and Antonio separated for a small part of the song, he was following you, and not Antoni, who was probably a better dancer than even you. You shot him a smile, then got right back into it, ending it with a couple more twirls and then the song came to a finish. You were a little breathless but also exhilarated, a high that only exercise could bring.
“Always a pleasure,” Antonio said with a little bow. “And my toes thank you.”
“You’ve really got to get yourself a girlfriend,” You chuckled. You turned to go back to your table, only to find that it was empty because Tom was approaching you on the dance floor.
“Mind if I cut in?” He asked to Antonio, though his voice wasn’t nearly as pleasant as it was when you had been taking earlier. “Considering we’re on a date and all, I would think not.”
Ouch.
“All yours,” Antonio said, bowing his head towards Tom as well. He raised his eyebrows at you as he walked away backwards, holding his hands up in surrender. You just shook your head subtly then looked at Tom. He had his hand out to you, and you took it, feeling the warmth of his body heat against yours. You haven’t been this close to him before. You had to admit, it was pretty nice. He looked even more handsome up close than he did from across the table.
“Were you a little jealous?” You asked, as the next song started. “If you were, that’s actually kind of cute.”
“Maybe a little,” Tom admitted. The song was a slower one, so you tended to stay close. He spun you beneath his arm and you twirled expertly, then ended right back against his chest. “Was it that obvious?”
“Perhaps you’re not the amazing actor that you think you are,” You challenged.
“I don’t think that matters much to you, does it?” He asked. He had a point there, and you lightly shook your head. His arm dropped a little lower below your waist, going towards dangerous territory. He had a bit of a smug face, which was pretty adorable.
You did a quick spin out of his arms on that one, to make his face change. He had to know now that you had the upper hand - and that you had a sense of humor. And that you could throw in a little bit of spice into everything. When you went back into him, his arm was a little higher this time.
“A little handsy for a first date, Mr Cruise,” You said, amused.
“What can I say,” He grinned. “I perform my own stunts.”
You laughed at that, and swayed along with him to the music - up until the band started to heat it up, bringing back in the fun. You stayed on the dance floor, waiting to see what Tom was going to do. He went along with it, rather than drag you off. Slow dancing was easy, but many men were intimidated by the faster steps. Tom wasn’t the same way. He actually managed to keep up with you, his steps quick, his eyes on you, his smile on his face nonstop. Those hips didn’t lie.
Tumblr media
“What a daredevil,” You teased. “What other stunts do you intend to do tonight?”
“Well, it all depends,” Tom said, looking into your eyes as you spun side by side.
“On?”
“Where this night is leading. I might dare to kiss you on your doorstep...”
“How bold,” You smirked, dancing around him, looking over your shoulder to keep up the eye contact.
“Or I can show you a couple of moves if you’re feeling this as much as I am.”
“Ballsy,” You laughed. The song came to a close and you and Tom clapped for the band. You leaned against him, back to his chest, and his arms went around you, holding you close. You liked that feeling. You liked him a lot. And you usually weren’t this sort of person but ... but you were interested in what sort of moves that Tom had off of the dance floor. “I like it. I suppose I could let you take me home - if you really think that your moves are that good.”
He seemed a little off-guard that you had agreed with the idea so quickly. But he covered it up by bringing you back to the table and quickly throwing down some money and putting his jacket back on. The dancing, the food - all of this was an amazing aphrodisiac, and you were feeling the mood with Tom right now. You hurried with your own jacket, and finished off your drink which you had left behind when you had gotten up to dance. You left together hand in hand, and he showed off his gentlemanly he could be by opening the passenger door for you, and waiting until you were settled in with your seatbelt on to close it.
If  he kept up this perfect combination of sweet and spicy, you were very excited to see what moves he was going to show you in the bedroom tonight.

Fool for you {Part Two}
a/n: i was gonna write sum here but i forgot, dm me if you wanna be notified (i’m notifying in dms) for the next part besties x
warnings: highly unprofessional interviewer,
word count: 2.8k
Tumblr media
“So, Calum,” The interviewer started, looking up at the boy who had been pretty silent throughout the whole interview. Y/n sat away to the side, out of view from the cameras that were recording the boys. She watched with a smile on her face, fondness showing clearly on her face; she loved watching the boys talk about their music, they were all so passionate about it.
“I’ve gotta ask,” The interviewer shuffled a little bit on his seat, muddling with the headphones planted on his head. His eyes briefly cast over to y/n but she barely even noticed, her eyes glued on Calum, who waited intently for the question the interviewer was intending towards him. It was clear what it was going to be about, but he still waited anyway, “This lovely lady over to my right is your girlfriend?”
Calum dipped his head into a nod, “That would be true, yes.”
“So tell me more, how did you guys spark this romance? The people are dying to know,”
Calum licked his lips absentmindedly, leaning closer to the microphone, “Well y/n caught our eye a while back and we finally got her on tour with us. We met her and we just all hit it off right away. It’s been a while we’ve been keeping it a secret, we thought we wanted that, but actually, we’re really glad just to finally be able to do our thing in public now.”
“That’s really cool mate, I’m glad you both are happy,” The interviewer flashed Calum a quick smile before turning back to his mic properly, “Right guys, we’ll be back with 5 Seconds of Summer in a minute, but for now here’s one of their singles from their album Youngblood, Valentine!”
Soon enough, they were off air for a quick break, Ashton and Michael talking amidst themselves and Luke getting a bottle of water. Calum, who locked eyes with y/n, who smiled at him. Just as he was about to stand up, the interviewer caught him by the arm, a smirk on his face as his eyes flashed at the girl, talking to Calum.
Her eyes were trained on Calum and she certainly didn’t miss the way his smile fell off of his face and his eyebrows furrowed in anger once he heard the words that came out of the interviewer's mouth. Before long, he was grabbing his jacket and rushing over to the highly confused girl, storming almost, ignoring the calls from his bandmate and management
He grabbed her arm and dragging her behind him, giving her no explanation as to why, all of a sudden, they were leaving. The pulling wasn’t forceful as such and didn’t seem malicious in any way whatsoever, but it didn’t stop y/n from being confused as to why she was suddenly being dragged away from the room, “C’mon y/n, we’re leaving.”
“Cal, what are you doing? You’re only halfway through the interview-”
“Now,” With that, he tugged her once more and before anyone could even rush out to stop Calum from leaving, Calum had already pulled her out of the exit and away to some random diner for food.
It was clear he was mad as her eyes glanced up at him for the third time in the past few seconds. Her face held hesitance, but without even looking up at her, he knew that she wanted answers; why she was dragged out of there, what the interviewer could have possibly said to make him that angry. Calum hardly ever lost composure, even before y/n knew him so to see him storm out of an interview was a strange feeling.
She knew that he would be in trouble with management once they got back for causing a scene but at that moment she couldn’t care. She only noticed the way Calum’s eyebrows were still furrowed in anger as he ate his fries, hyperaware of the glances that y/n was giving him.
“What?” He finally asked, sighing when his brown eyes finally met hers, hand reaching for another handful of fries.
She hesitated on her answer, not sure if she wanted to press at all on Calum. He was closed off at the best of times, and he was angry. Sure, they had gotten closer over the past few weeks, even though they wouldn’t admit that, but she wasn’t at a level where Calum could trust her enough to vent to her. They tolerated each other, sure, but Calum was a closed-off guy. However, she couldn’t help herself, “W-Why did you storm out? And why did you take me with you?”
Well, the questions were certainly straight to the point. She almost winced when they came out of her mouth. His gaze was still locked on hers for a moment, almost like he was lost in time before he leaned back in his seat, head-turning around to look outside the diner window. Without looking, he picked up a tissue and wiped his hands, putting it back down on his plate and sighing.
Y/n felt nervous as she awaited his answer and after a minute or so, she felt like it wasn’t even coming. Her eyes awkwardly shifted to her lap, “He asked me if you were good in bed.”
“What?” Her head snapped up at the sound of Calum’s voice, eyes wide.
“He asked me how you were in bed, and how kinky you were,” Y/n didn’t know what to say. What could she even say? That was beyond incredibly inappropriate, and the fact that the interviewer thought that was okay sickened her to her stomach.
Was that all people thought of her as? Calum’s little sex toy that he could flaunt about? They weren’t even in a real relationship and people were thinking about how kinky their sex must be. It was disgusting and made y/n’s skin crawl, “Oh.”
Calum rolled his eyes, “Yeah, oh.”
Calum directly mimicked her awkward and uncomfortable words, shaking his head lightly, making y/n’s skin flush. She knew Calum wasn’t annoyed at her and that she shouldn’t take the way he was acting personally, but she couldn’t help b but be slightly embarrassed at his mimic.
“You know, management isn’t going to be happy about this,”
“You really think I care if management is annoyed at me? He should have kept his fucking mouth shut. Creepy bastard,” Calum spat out, anger spread thickly in his words, eyes blazing into hers. She knew that the anger he felt wasn’t directed towards her, in fact, it was for her. He was angry because someone was being inappropriate towards her, but she couldn’t help but feel slightly uncomfortable with how angry he was.
“Thank you for defending me, Cal,” Y/n spoke sincerely, her voice quiet but she knew that Calum could hear her. He looked at her with brown eyes which had softened at the sound of her appreciation.
However, he simply shrugged it off, kicking his leg down from its comfortable position over the top of his other leg and standing up, “You ready to go?”
After that, Calum and y/n got closer. A lot closer. It was strange to see the two of them getting along so well for the boys, but they relished in the lack of arguing and screaming on the tour buses. Instead,  they were hanging out, and she even started to go out with the boys; like she was doing right now.
It was dark in the room, the strobing lights from the dancefloor providing practically the only light in the room. People were dancing around, and thankfully no one even recognized the boys so the night was going rather smoothly. Calum had opted out of shots, as did y/n but the boys were surely having a good time. Luke was drunk, trying to pull y/n up onto the dancefloor after all of the boys refused.
“Luke I can’t dance-”
“Yes, you can y/n/n! I’ve seen you,” He whined, giving the girl a small, pleading pout before feverishly letting go of her hand, eyes casting over the boys too, “You guys are no fun!”
With that, he retreated to the dance floor. It was strange to see a 6′4 man dance around so freely, he looked a bit like one of those inflatable tube men with his hands up in the air. Hesitantly, she sighed, going to stand up and join the man before she felt a hand clamp around her arm.
“Where are you goin’?” Calum asked, brown eyes looking up at her figure in confusion.
“Gonna go dance with Luke so he isn’t alone,” However, even after she replied, Calum was hesitant to let go of y/n. She waited a few moments for him to let go but it seemed he didn’t plan on doing so, so she softly yanked her arm out of his hold and didn’t spare a glance back before she made her way to the dance floor.
While y/n wasn’t drunk, she wouldn’t exactly say she was sober either. The alcohol in her system made things blur, and made her do stuff that she wouldn’t normally do if she was sober. It also made her a lot more confident.
So, when a man’s hand snaked around her waist, pulling her back to his stomach she simply smirked. The alcohol certainly wasn’t doing her any favors when she was grinding against the man either. Her mischievous nature definitely didn’t blow over when her eyes caught onto the brown of his.
He was stood over at their booth, paying no attention to his friends talking behind him, and instead was staring straight at her figure pressed up against a man that wasn’t him. His eyebrows were pinched together, a frown on his face: he looked angry. He didn’t miss the way that she pressed further against the man behind her, letting his hands travel up to her waist from her hips and suddenly he was making his way over to her.
It isn’t long before he’s standing right in front of her, his hand making its way around her wrist, speaking gruffly, “Let's go.”
Yet, it wasn’t a request or question that the bassist was asking. In fact, he didn’t even let her speak before he is dragging her out of the club, but she barely protests. Somehow, he managed to hail a cab almost as soon as they’re out of the club, taking her in the car too before giving the driver the address to the hotel that the group is staying at.
She looked over at him with a small sigh, watching the back of his head as he looked out at the buildings flying by as they drove. The silence was suffocating for y/n, “Aren’t you going to say something, Cal?”
All she was met with was radio silence and it got worse with each breath. She expected Calum to reprimand her, scold her, shout at her even, just give her something other than ignoring her. She could only imagine that Calum was angry at her for possibly breaking the stunt, and if she got caught she knew that she was going to be in serious trouble but she hadn’t thought about that at the time.
And now she’s facing something that she thought is worse than shouting. Silence.
“Really, Cal? Nothing?”
There is nothing. Not a word was spoken in the whole taxi ride back, there wasn’t a word spoken between the two when Calum paid the taxi driver, there wasn’t a word spoken when they were in the hotel lobby nor the elevator. They’re simply stood beside one another, Calum with his eyes set straight forward, jaw clenched and stony expression covering his face and y/n with careful and discrete glances over to the boy, fidgeting awkwardly just wishing he’d say something, or just acknowledge her existence.
It seemed, however, that she got her wish when Calum’s vice-like grip caught onto her hand against when the elevators opened up on their floor. The corridor is deserted, not that they would have noticed otherwise as he quickly puts his hand out, his voice assertive and leaving no room for protests, “Hotel room card. Now.”
She fumbled with her purse, pulling out the small card and putting it in his hand. He didn’t bother to say thank you and instead turned towards the door and unlocks it, pushing it open and bringing the woman in behind him.
The door is shut swiftly behind them and spun her around, back pressing against the heavy wood that he had just slammed shut. Her hands were up, pressed against the door above her head, his own hands clasped around them holding them in place, leaving her no room to move them. His breath fanned over her neck where that other man’s had been all but twenty minutes ago as he spoke lowly, “You think you can get away with that, princess? Ruining the PR stunt?”
Her breath is caught in her throat and the room fell into silence but Calum doesn’t move. His face is still tucked into her neck, hands holding her own above her head. Her heart is thudding dangerously in her chest, hyperaware of the soft breaths the bassist is letting out hitting her neck.
Her eyes cast over the dark curls on top of his head and she can’t help the feeling but want to run her hands through them. The room is dark, the only light provided is the propitious moonlight filtering softly through the window, highlighting certain parts of the silk button-up that Calum is wearing.
“This isn’t about the PR stunt, is it?”
A dry chuckle escaped his lips, his breath coming closer and closer to her neck. Suddenly, his lips are on her neck, bringing the skin between his teeth as he sucked on it, making her take a sharp intake of breath. She tried to bring her hand down to make contact with his brown curls but he still had her arms held against the door and seems that he doesn't plan on letting them go anytime soon. Soon enough, his lips were leaving her neck and he brings his head back up, brown eyes looked at her through his eyelashes. However, before he had any time to retreat any further away from her, her head is jerking forward and towards him, her lips meeting his in a kiss. The kiss was eager; need almost.
It didn’t even take him a second before he is responding to her kiss, lips moving against her with the same amount of passion; maybe even more. He almost instantly took back all control of the kiss, smashing her off of the large wooden door once more. Both of their heads are clouded and they barely even register what they are doing.
Once her back collided with the door, her mouth opened in surprise and Calum took full advantage of this, his tongue diving into her mouth. He can taste the faint smell of alcohol mixed with gum on her breath as he deepened the kiss, moaning into it. Y/n doesn’t stop him either, and she doesn’t do anything to try and hide the moan that escaped her lips.
He let go of her hands, and instead, they make their way to cup the sides of her face softly; tenderly. Her hands, now freed of their trapped position, making their way down his shoulders, tugging on the silk lightly. They continue to kiss until her hands reached the top buttons of his shirt. His hands cover hers.
“What?” Her voice is soft, eyes looking up at his brown with heavy eyelids.
“We can’t do this,” He sighed, shaking his head. Y/n’s mouth parted slightly, but before she can get a word out Calum is speaking again, “You’ve been drinking y/n, we can’t. I’m not going to take advantage of you like that.”
It seemed that whatever was clouding Calum’s head those moments before where he had been kissing y/n, acting as if their relationship was real and not a PR stunt was over. Now, he’s returning to his closed-off self that y/n had managed to crack through in the past few weeks and y/n could feel almost as if he was slipping away.
“Cal, I’m not even drunk-”
However, he didn’t even let her finish as he stepped away, letting go of her hand and letting it fall. He stood in front of her still, head ducked but far enough that he was out of reach from her, meeting her frowning face with a frown of his own, “Goodnight, y/n/n.”
Then, Calum is gone and y/n wallowed painfully in the rejection.

Just a few more hours.
You hurriedly gathered your things and packed them into the trunk of your car, speeding off to Taehyung's apartment. It had been a very, very long two weeks, spent all by your lonesome. Taehyung had gone off to Japan with Jimin and Namjoon, another one of their plans that they had solidified awhile ago. The time difference wasn't so bad, but you were honestly so tired of waiting up just to hear from him, or pulling yourself together so you wouldn't go to sleep too early. Part of you really wanted him to enjoy his trip, away from his phone and other distractions since you knew he had been looking forward to it for a really long time. But, you couldn't help it. You just missed the fuck out of him and you needed him to come back asap.
And for the record, Taehyung did enjoy his trip. He had a lot of fucking fun, roaming around and meeting new people. He's even had his fair share of women trying to get up on him at the night clubs/bars, but he wasn't having it whatsoever. He'd easily block himself or shove his friends in the way because they weren't you and those moments made him miss your presence even more. He always wanted you around him, and it's times like that that made him wish he could touch you, hug you, kiss you, show you off. Bask in these moments with you. But, he knew he had time - you both had forever to go, and he was only looking forward to the days where he could travel with you and bring you everywhere with him.
With that being said, he couldn't wait to fucking see you and just hug you. Feel you against his body. He really, really missed you. But he hates knowing he has to wait another day or so because you had told him you left the city to attend some culinary & food convention with Jin. The specific details, he had no idea. He just knew you weren't around and it bummed him the hell out. He didn't press on for more details, moreso because he was just tired from the flight and from the trip itself.
[start flashback of phone call]
"You're finally coming home!"
"I know." He chuckles. "But you're leaving? What time will you be back?"
"I'm sorry, baby. I totally forgot about the convention. I'll be back tomorrow evening."
"Tomorrow evening?" He sighs and pouts over the phone. "But, I really miss you."
"Aw." You chuckle. "I really miss you, too. I told Jin I'd go since his friend bailed out."
"It's alright, you should accompany hyung." He says softly.
"Cheer up, okay? Have fun for the rest of your time there, I promise it won't be long before we see each other."
[end flashback of phone call]
Tae, Jimin and Namjoon all get picked up by one of their other friends and they head straight to dinner before heading home.
"Taehyungie, where's Y/N?"
"She's with Jin hyung at some culinary convention in the next town over." He pokes his food.
"Aw, look who misses her." Namjoon teased.
"Fuck off, it's been two weeks." Taehyung pouts, not even giving one damn about how he looks in front of his friends right now.
"Taehyungie is in looooove." His other friend teased. "Isn't that some shit? Never thought I'd be saying that any time soon."
"Yeah, yeah, whatever." Tae shakes his head and rolls his eyes. They can call it whatever the fuck they want, but you were his baby and he was the happiest he had ever been. Of course he loved you. Of course he missed you. Seeing you and feeling your touch is the one thing that pushes him through his days.
Taehyung isn't really in a rush to get home knowing he'd come home to an empty, lonely space, but he was also yearning for his bed. As he's making his way up to his apartment, he digs out his phone to give you a call, hoping maybe you would have came back early. But, he gets no response and the loneliness further kicks in.
Damn, he just wanted his girlfriend. Was that too much to ask for?!
He unlocks the door, sighing heavily at the dark, cold, empty living room. He rolls his luggage in, gently pushing it aside against the wall before throwing off his long puffer jacket and grabbing a cold water bottle. He takes a few gulps before he's just standing there, admiring your photo as his lock screen. Lord, was he in love.
When he slowly opens the door to his room, his eyes widen and his jaw drops. You, in the flesh, were sitting on his bed all cutely, legs criss-crossed applesauce with your arms up in a V shape. A small "Welcome Home" banner draped the headboard, with a few balloons scattered across the ceiling and plastic tea lights scattered around you on the bed.
"Ohhhhh, shit." He says, chuckling to himself since he doesn't know how to act with how surprised he is.
"Welcome home, love!" You giggle as you hop off the bed, straight into his arms. He hugged you tightly, the scent of your hair filling his nose. He's so fucking happy right now, he could honestly cry. He holds you close to swing you around once, causing you to squeal into his chest before he puts you down.
"Baby." Is all he says when you pull away to look at him. He gently caresses your cheek, smiling from ear to ear before kissing you on the lips. "I missed you."
"I missed you, too."
"I thought you were gonna be gone."
"No. I tricked ya." You pull away to walk towards the bed, but he gently grabs your wrist to pull you back to him. His hands are feeling up your entire body before they rest on your cheeks to cup them as he's planting a kiss on your forehead and nose. "Why don't you get into comfier clothes so we can cuddle?" You giggle. He silently nods and makes his way to his closet to grab some clothes he can change into, but before he could make his way to the bathroom, he's back to holding you close and kissing your cheek. "Babe." You softly squeal.
"I'm sorry, I just haven't gotten to do this for awhile." He chuckles before running off to the bathroom to get changed and washed up.  Next thing you know, he's waddling over to the bed and tossing his arms around you, tightly holding you. He smells of baby powder, which honestly is the cutest thing. Every move you make, he tries to be right there - needing to touch you, hold you, play with your fingers, anything.
"You're a baby." You playfully joked. "What is up with you?"
"Mmmm." He whines as he sits up against the headboard and pulls you close by throwing his arm around your shoulder. He gently lifts your chin to meet your lips, slowly kissing you and taking you in. You wrap your arm around his torso, your leg draped over his to be as close as possible. "My pretty girl." He smiles down at you, completely smitten and in love with all your unique features. "I had fun on the trip but I really wished you were there."
"Yeah? Tell me all about it."
"We walked so fucking much. Ate so much." He tapped his tummy. "The food was so good though."
"Sounds like." You poked his tummy, feeling him flex his abs every time your finger made contact.
"I think I came home with more things for you than myself." You smiled. You didn't even ask him to buy you anything. The fact that he was still thinking about you and buying things for you on a trip he had been excited to experience for himself - what did you do to deserve Taehyung? You had no idea. It hadn't been an easy ride but you wouldn't have it any other way.
"Seriously?" You chuckled.
"Yeah. I found a lot of things I thought you'd like. I even got you a reusable bag with Shiba Inu's printed all over it." He wiggled his eyebrows, knowing how much you bag on him for not buying reusable bags to use for groceries or other things.
"You're so cute." His hands are caressing your arm, laying another gentle kiss on the side of your mouth.
"We took the train everywhere, visited Namjoon's friends off in the countryside and stayed there for two days. Got really fucking wasted, Jimin was outside yacking."
"Poor guy."
"He's alive, right?" You laugh, playfully hitting him on the chest. "Went to the club and bars with Namjoon's friends. It was a good time."
"Lots of ladies flocking you, ey?"
"Yeah but what does that matter if it isn't my lady right here?" He gently boops your nose. You follow suit and boop the mole on his nose, one of your favorite things to do since it became one of the many features you loved about Taehyung. "We did a lot of shopping. Took a lot of pictures. Jimin will probably upload our pics and videos to a drive and I can share it with you once it's up." You nod. "I wanna share these things with you if you can't be there physically with me."
"It sounds like you had a really good time though, and I'm happy you did."
"I did. But," He looks down at you, his finger tracing your jawline. "I wanna do these things with you."
"We will. Once school is over." You chuckle.
"I really mean it." He says, ever so seriously [sweetly]. "I wanna take you to places you've never been to before, or places we've never been to before. I wanna be the person that takes you there." His plump lips softly press against your forehead. "I can't wait to be able to do that. I can't wait to wake up in a new place with you, have good fucking sex in a hotel room, roam around, take pictures of you, videos of you." You giggled. "I just.. can't wait to do everything with you, love."
"Sounds just like my type of trip."
"I couldn't agree more." He chuckled before swooping you into his arms to bring you out into the living room. "K, come on. I need to show you what I got you." He says happily.

Author’s Note: I am super super happy with how this whole season turned out. I think this stuff is some of the stuff that I was most proud of. And y’all...I love will graham (and hannibal lecter which is gonna show more hopefully in season 2!)
I took lines directly from the script so some may seem familiar. Those sentences are not mine.
Official Episode Summary : The BAU team finds evidence linking Abigail to the Minnesota Shrike victims; Will checks Abigail out of the hospital; Hannibal convinces Jack that Will is capable of murder.
I don’t own these characters. They belong to author/director

You stepped into your home. You had spent the whole afternoon, much into the night trying to contact Will who hadn’t picked up his phone. You had been dragged along by Hannibal Lecter as you continued to complain about how Will had not done the things he had said. You dragged your feet and faced the wall as you kicked off your shoes. You would have no sleep tonight. You would be forced to sit at home, think about where Will had gone.
Will hadn’t ever gone anywhere without telling you if he knew it was going to worry you. He would leave a note, a call, a text. You were forced to wonder where he had gone. Why he hadn’t told you where he had gone. You let out a shaky sigh and held back tears as you turned to the dogs who gathered at your feet. You turned around and pet them. You finally let a few tears escape your eyes as you sat down on the ground and let the dogs run you over.
“Where’s dad?” you whispered to Winston. He licked your face and you laughed lightly nodding. “I don’t know where either.”
You stood up and walked through the house, ready to get in bed and not go to sleep.
You entered the bedroom and almost didn’t even notice Will in bed, fast asleep. You actually walked past him at first and then stopped, turning to the bed and staring down at him. You let out a gasp and a small sob escaped your lips.
Safe.
He was safe.
You walked to the bed and sat on the ground beside him, not on the bed but instead the ground where you could stare at Will’s face. Peaceful. You wondered when the last time you saw him look peaceful was.
You stared at him and had a decision to make. You could call Jack or Hannibal, tell them that he was at home and without blood stains from the looks of it. You could sit here a moment more and think. Or you could simply get in bed and go to sleep beside the man you loved. You could go pretend nothing was wrong.
Tears were soundlessly streaming down your face. You wanted to play with his curls and laugh at him and make fun of each other as you attempt to make food carelessly. You didn’t want to make this decision.
Will shook and you wiped your eyes quickly. He looked up at the ceiling and his eyes locked on yours. The peace was broken into panic and the moment was gone.
You stared at each other and he stood up, running into the kitchen. You stayed on the ground for a moment, wishing you could have savored the moment a second longer. Then you got up and walked over to the kitchen where Will was leaning over the sink. Your bare feet patted over to the sink.
In it was a bloody ear that Will had just thrown up. You let out a shaky breath and Will looked over at you, fear in his eyes.
Will had never once seen you afraid of him. He had seen you afraid for him but never afraid of him. For a second he saw the fear in your eyes and he wasn’t sure if it was for him or of him.
“Where did you go?” you whispered. He shook his head and you met his eyes again. Terror in his eyes. You had asked the wrong question. “I was scared.”
“I am too.”
You hugged him tightly and he held you closer than he ever had before.
“I don’t know if this is going to be okay,” you whispered. He whimpered very quietly.
“I love you,” he promised. “I’ve always and always will love you.” You nodded and shut your eyes tightly.
“I’ll always love you too,” you whispered. “Always.”
You pulled away.
“Let’s call Hannibal.”
-
When Jack arrived at your home you didn’t recognize it. Jack was such a separate entity from your home. The comforting place, the dogs, Will, a home. That wasn’t what Jack was to you.
You stared at the house. Crime scene tape over the porch you and Will would drink beer and swap stories on. Strangers in the bedroom you slept in. You looked over at Jack who was holding Will hostage with words.
“They’re going to take him away,” you whispered numbly. Hannibal nodded.
“Yes.”
You walked over as Will got into the back of a cop car. You smiled very weakly at him, stopping the door from being shut. One of the dogs sat at your foot and looked at him.
“I’m not going to tell you it’s going to be okay,” you whispered.
“Just be here. With the dogs.” Someone shut the door harshly and the car was gone way before you were prepared for it to be gone. Hannibal stood behind you and you turned, throwing your arms around him so that Jack wouldn’t see you sob. Hannibal held you tightly, watching Will leave his home.
After a moment you pulled away from him and turned to Jack.
“You swore to me he wouldn’t get too close!” you yelled, so loud that people could likely hear you in the house. You pointed a finger at him and Hannibal grabbed your arms before you could fight Jack. “You swore!”
“I told him-”
“Stop talking. You could see he was breaking!” you screamed.
“Yes, I could,” Jack said simply. “And I kept pushing him because he was saving lives.” You broke free of Hannibal’s grasp and poked him in the chest, staring at him directly in the eyes. Your eyes were crazed and sad and heartbroken and above all, dangerous.
“I told you he was breaking. Now Abigail Hobbs is dead,” you sneered. Your heart wasn’t able to comprehend that just yet.
“You think he did it?” Jack asked.
“I know he didn’t,” you promised. “But for the sake of proving you wrong, as I have constantly, Abigail Hobbs is dead because someone messed up. And that someone is not Will or Freddie Lounds or Hannibal or Alana. That someone, Jack, is you.”
Hannibal pulled you away. You turned to him.
“You,” you whispered, weak now. “I sent Will to you for help and he seemed to simply get worse.”
“I thought I was helping him. I don’t know yet where I went wrong,” he whispered. “This is going to be a long process if he is arrested. You have to realize, perhaps not now but eventually that Will killed people even if he didn’t mean to.” You shook your head.
“I know he didn’t.”
“Either way,” he started and held you by your upper arms, “you’re going to need support through this. You said yourself Will was all you had before.” You stared at him, holding it together the best you could. He was right. You hated it. But he was right.
You didn’t say anything. Instead you just hugged him again.
-
The next day you walked into the headquarters of the BAU. Hannibal walked with you. You had managed to keep yourself together as you walked in. Hannibal stood closely beside you as you walked into his office.
“I’m going to talk to Will,” you stated.
“After the last time we spoke you think I’m going to allow you-”
“I am going to talk to Will,” you said again. Jack looked to Hannibal who somehow was still a valid perspective in his mind.
“Will it help or harm?” Jack asked Hannibal as though you weren’t there. Hannibal shrugged.
“I will be seeing him. Alana, you, presumably Chilton,” Hannibal said. “It seems unreasonably cruel to not allow her to see him especially before you’ve arrested him simply because you dislike her,” he said. Jack stared at you and you stared back, adjusting your posture to not seem nervous when you in fact were. You hated that the viewing of your boyfriend was going to be held in the hands of a man who you hated vocally.
“Five minutes,” Jack said. “No more.” You nodded stiffly and Jack led you to the room where Will was being held. You stared through the two way mirror as he stared at the wall. The wrongness of it made you shiver. Jack opened the door and Will turned around. He let out a gasp of almost relief at the sight of you. You walked over to him and hugged him tightly.
Someone hit the two way mirror. You moved back.
You sat down carefully at the chair across from him.
“This seems much too formal for us,” he said quietly.
“I don’t think we ever ate dinner at a table this formal,” you said quietly and you both shared a sad smile at what might have been and what had been. “I will be showing the dogs a picture of you every day for...however long,” you whispered.
“However long could be a long time from now.” You pursed your lips at the realization.
“I’ll do it until then,” you promised. Will stared at you.
“Do you...think I did it?” he asked. You shook your head quickly. There was no part of Will Graham that made you feel unsafe.
“No. You couldn’t have. I know that.”
“Ted Bundy’s girlfriend didn’t think he was a murderer until he was,” he told you.
“Actually she suspected. I have never suspected,” you promised.
“Has Jack tried to convince you otherwise?” he asked. You laughed dryly.
“Jack could show me a dead body in our crawl space and I would think he was making it up. That man has never been someone I trusted,” you promised. “Plus, I might get to join you if I decide to go through my plan of killing Jack.” Will raised an eyebrow.
“What about the dogs?”
“You’re right,” you whispered. “I’m going to try and see you as soon as I can.” He nodded.
“I don’t want you to be particular about it. I want you to live your life,” he whispered. You shook your head.
“You’re my life.”
The door opened and you looked over, fighting tears again.
“Be safe,” he whispered. You stood up and walked to the door, holding yourself together by only a string. “And Y/N?” You turned around and Will looked at you, up and down, taking you in.
“Yes?”
“Don’t forget to turn off my work alarm,” he whispered. You nodded stiffly and Hannibal helped you out of the room. You were okay until you got in the car where you immediately broke down crying.
-
You didn’t go home, it was still a crime scene. You went to Hannibal’s home, sitting on his couch and staring out the window. He walked up to you and sat down beside you.
“Jack has just called me,” he said.
“Oh yeah?” Your voice held no emotion. It was odd for Hannibal to hear. He was so used to emotion to lace your voice. Sometimes excitement, fear, happiness, worry, boredom. You were such an outward emotional person. Even when he walked into the office you would tell him the day's appointments with a smile and chirp.
“They have found victims' hair and teeth in the fish hooks,” he said. You shook your head. “And Jack has just arrested him.”
Your mouth opened and for a moment no words came out. Hannibal waited patiently.
“I passed those fish hooks every single day,” you whispered. “Going to work. Coming home. Going on a date, stumbling inside drunk and happy.” You turned to face Hannibal. “And I watched him work. I would sit on one of the chairs and pretend to read when Will and I both knew I was watching his fingers move.” Hannibal watched your eyes rewatch that memory. “There was no hair or teeth in those fish hooks when Will worked on it.”
“The evidence speaks otherwise,” he told you quietly.
“And yet I will refuse to believe it,” you said. Your smile was almost eerie. Hannibal was so curious about this part of you. Almost a numb anger.
“Go home,” he whispered.
“It’ll only make it worse,” you muttered.
You hugged him and he hugged you and for a moment Hannibal was the only anchor you had to the world. You felt like without him you could fly away immediately and die somewhere. Hannibal held you like he knew that was what you were thinking.
You pulled away and for a moment, as you felt numb, you stared at Hannibal’s face differently.
“Thank you,” you whispered. He put his hand on your face and you let him. Before he could do anything further you stood up. Home. Go home.
-
The house was empty. Despite the dogs it was empty.
You sat on the bed and stared at the pillow you never touched. Do you wash it? Will used to sweat on it so you had to wash it often but now did you have to? Should you?
The blanket that you had bought for Christmas for his nightmares seemed so useless now.
You turned around and grabbed the pillow and held it tightly, gasping.
The front door clicked open. You turned your head and your emotions went back to static as you stood up, putting the pillow on the bed. You walked into the main room and then there was Will, in orange, but there. You walked over to him quickly and sobbed into his shoulder.
“What are you doing here?” you asked, sobbing loudly.
“I’m going to Minnesota with Hannibal,” he whispered. “But I had to come to you first.” You pulled away and he wiped your eyes for you. He pet the dogs one by one as you continued to cry. “I don’t know when I’ll be back.”
“Soon,” you told him. “I’ll get you back soon,” you promised.
“How are you going to do that?” he asked.
“I have no idea. Somehow.” He got up from petting the dogs and turned to you, tear stained face.
“Someone is framing me. I don’t know who. I think maybe Hannibal,” he whispered. “But I want you to know that outside of that prison. The copycat killer.”
“You think Hobbs copycat is Hannibal?”
“I don’t know yet. Minnesota will tell me,” he promised. You walked over to him, hugging him again.
“I’ll never stop trying to get you out,” you whispered. He nodded, laughing dryly a bit.
“I know.” He kissed your forehead shakily and you grabbed his hand.
“Stop shaking,” you whispered. “I always wanted to tell you that. You shake a lot when you’re not sure what’s going to happen and I always wanted to tell you to stop shaking.” For a moment, very brief, he was still.
“I’ll try.”
-
You held your phone tightly to your ear as you sat on the porch, alone once again. Alana picked up after two rings.
“Hi.” Her voice seemed wrong, hesitant. You took a shaky breath in and released a laugh.
“You think he did it.” She let out a sigh herself.
“I don’t know what I think. The evidence is all there Y/N.” You shook your head.
“And you know Will,” you whispered. “And you have to know that there is no way in hell that he did this.” You were pleading now. She was silent and that was answer enough.
“I’m sorry.”
You hung up the phone and stared at the barren land of the house that you alone were going to brave. You and the only ally you had left. Unfortunately that was Hannibal Lecter.
-
The next time you saw Will Graham he was in an induced sleep in the hospital. Hannibal  sat at the side of his bed and you stood at the edge. Jack had yet to come and kick you out so you just sat with Hannibal and Will. Jack had also shot Will in the shoulder which he would surely get an earful about later.
“Hannibal?” you whispered. He nodded.
“Yes?”
“The last time I talked to Abigail she told me you loved me and Will,” you said very quietly. Your voice went out for a moment while you spoke. He smiled a tad.
“Abigail was always eccentric.”
“No, she was a teenager. Although I suppose she was wrong.” Hannibal raised an eyebrow.
“She wasn’t. I truly care a lot about you and Will. I wouldn't’ go as far as saying that I was in love with you two,” he told you. You looked down at Will and thought about his words.
“What happened in Minnesota?”
“Will had a breakdown,” he said simply. You wondered what Will had found out. You wondered if he would ever be able to tell you.
“I’m not going to let him stay in there,” you said quietly.
“No?”
“And I would like your help but if I don’t get it then that’s simply how we’re going to have to split ways,” you whispered. Hannibal smiled very subtly. That was ruthless of you. You, while caring about him, were willing to do anything to get Will back.
You and Hannibal stared at each other. He realized that you and him were not all that different. There was a piece of you that perhaps was capable of murder. You were not just his secretary who took calls and made appointments.
Your eyes stared at Hannibal’s and his stared back. Will laid between you. That was when Hannibal Lecter noticed that you were not an obstacle to get to Will Graham or an obstacle at all.
You were a piece of Hannibal Lecter and Will Graham.

“Come on, Seb. Christmas is next week. Are you coming home or not?” Sebastian listened to his mom whine on the phone while we rushed around his room & packed.
“Fine. I’ll be there in 4 days.” he rolled his eyes as his mom continued to talk.
“Good. Your great-aunt Maggie says she has a pleasant surprise for you when you get here.”
His great-aunt Maggie. His eyes widened when he heard her name and his stomach dropped. It’s not that he didn’t love her. He did. Everyone did. She was the type of lovely old lady who would go out of her way to make everyone happy.
Sebastian just didn’t like the fact that every time he saw her, she would ask him about his love life.
“I think she’s bringing the granddaughter of one of her old bingo friends.”
“Mom-”
“You’ve met Judy, right?”
“Mom, I-” Sebastian could not get a word in when his mother got to talking about his life.
“She’s such a sweet girl. I’m sure you two will hit it off.”
“Mom!” he raised his voice slightly, managing to get her attention. “I’ve actually got someone I want you guys to meet. I’m sure you’ll love her. She’s awesome.”
“Oh. Sweetie, I didn’t know you had a girlfriend. You didn’t mention her the last time we talked. How long have you been together?”
“It’s coming up on 8 months right now.” he chuckled when his mom gasped, knowing that it was her happy gasp. “Christmas will be the 8th month mark.”
“Oh. I’m so excited to meet her now.” he knew his mom was smiling. “I gotta call Maggie and tell her to just forget about Judy. I’ll talk to you later, honey. Goodbye.”
Before Sebastian could say goodbye, the call had ended. He slowly sat on the edge of his bed and looked at his phone.
Although, he had lied about his girlfriend, he knew there was only one person who would be willing to go along with the whole thing. So, he hit the call button on her contact.
Y/n was at work, becoming increasingly bored when her phone lit up & Sebastian’s picture flashed on the screen. Not wanting to be too eager, she waited until the 4th ring before she picked up.
“Hey, Seb. What’s up?”
“You’re coming with me to New York for Christmas.”
“Do I get an option?”
“Yes, of course. But I would really love it if you came with me. My mom really wants to meet you.”
“What did you tell her about me that would make her want to meet me so bad?”
“Mhm. What did you really say to her?”
“Not much. Just that you’re awesome & I may have mentioned something else.”
“What did you say?” by now, Y/n was sitting up straight in her chair.
“She told me that my great aunt was gonna bring me a girl to set me up with so i told her that I was bringing a girl. Naturally, she assumed that it was my girlfriend so I went along with it.”
“Okay. Well, I gotta go. The boss is coming but I’ll be home in 2 hours so we can talk about this more. Goodbye.”
Once again, the call was over before he could say bye.
2 hours later, y/n walked into the loft apartment she shared with Sebastian, and was greeted with a lovely aroma. She set her bag down on the table and followed the smell into the kitchen.
Sebastian was standing with his back to her as he moved from pan to pan, trying to cook up something good.
“That smells delicious.” y/n walked over to him and touched his arm. He nearly attacked her with the spatula that he was holding.
“You can’t just sneak up on a man when he’s cooking dinner. It’s mean.”
“I apologize.” she giggled and looked at the pans. “It looks delicious. What is it?”
“I don’t know for sure, but I think it’s some kind of beef meal.”
“Alright. I’ll take your word for it.” she smiled and began the get plates and cups out of the cabinet. “So, tell me more about what you and your mom talked about.”
“There’s not a whole lot left to tell.” he shrugged and looked at her. “But if anyone asks you, we’ve been together for 8 months.”
“So when we get to New York, we’re supposed to act like we’re in love & that we have been for 8 months? Should we create a story to the relationship?”
“Yeah. I think it’ll make it more believable.”
That night, as they ate, their story started coming together piece by piece and the next 2 days were spent memorizing every little detail.
The plane ride to New York was shorter than either of them had expected but it was fun.
When it came time to walk into his old home, y/n looked at Sebastian skeptically.
“What if I mess it all up? What if I forget a detail or something? What happens if they don’t like me?”
“Will you relax? They’re going to love you so much.” he held her hand for reassurance as they knocked on the door. His mom quickly opened the door and smiled.
“I’m so glad you’re here.” she pulled her son in for a hug and looked over at y/n with a smile. “You must be, y/n. Sebby, she’s so beautiful. Where have you been hiding her?”
“You know how I am with my relationships. I try to stay as private as possible to protect her from the spotlight.”
“Yes. I do remember you telling me that.” she smiled again. “Come on in. Everyone is already here and they’re all dying to meet her, especially your aunt Maggie.”
Y/n began to follow Sebastian’s mom but she was stopped when he pulled her back.
“Aunt Maggie can be very critical but I wouldn’t be worried. She’ll love you, I guarantee it.”
The pair continued into the living room where the rest of his family was gathered. They all stopped talking when they saw Sebastian, quickly erupting into cheers and running to hug him. Y/n stepped back to give them all some room and she stood there quietly as they surrounded him.
When Aunt Maggie came into view, y/n visibly tensed up as she approached her. Everyone sent silent as Maggie looked her over.
“Sebastian, you idiot. You lied to us.” everyone froze as the woman turned towards all of them. “She’s way more beautiful than an angel.”
The family exchanged looks of relief as Sebastian joined his aunt and y/n.
“Yeah, she really is, isn’t she?” he smiled and held her hand, causing her heartbeat to quicken unexpectedly. “She keeps getting more beautiful with every passing day.”
“Oh, stop it.” y/n blushed and looked around the room. “8 months later & he’s still as charming as the day we started dating.”
“Aren’t you two just the cutest couple?” Sebastian’s mom smiled and went back to the kitchen.
“Come on, love. Let’s go up to our room.” he pulled her towards the stairs and up to his old room. “Told you they’d love you.”
“Your family is wonderful, Seb. I can’t wait to get to know them better later.”
“You’re going to love our family traditions that last all week, I guarantee it.”
“Well, you’ve been right every time so far, so I see no reason to not believe you.” she put her bag on the bed and let his hand go. “What’s the first one?”
“Since there’s a bunch of snow, we split up into 2 teams and go out to the backyard, where an arena has been assembled, and we have a snowball fight. It’s so much fun.”
“I hope so.” she smiled and looked up at him. “What else do you guys do?”
“We decorate the tree, bake cookies, go caroling. Sometimes we go ice skating on the pond in the park. We also go to the annual Christmas parade & watch the kids in the neighborhood show off their talents at the talent show.”
“Wow. That’s a lot of stuff. When I was growing up, all my family did was go caroling on Christmas Eve. Then we’d come home, get into our matching pjs and drink cocoa while watching Christmas movies.”
“We do that too. And we also stay in our pjs all day on Christmas day.”
“I do that still.”
“I know.” he smiled. “I remember when we got snowed in the first year we lived together and when I woke up that morning, you were drinking your cocoa and you gave me those pjs that matched yours and when you told me what you did during the day, I thought you were insane. But I’ve enjoyed it every year since then.” he smiled.
“Every year? You’re telling me that you wear your pjs ALL day on Christmas?”
“Yeah. It makes me feel a little safer because I know you do it too when you’re with your family at Christmas. It feels like we’re together at Christmas.”
“Awe, Seb. That’s adorable.”
“Okay, you two. It’s time for the snowball fight. I’ve already put all the names on the board downstairs. Let’s go.” his mom squealed giddily before disappearing down the stairs. Sebastian and y/n followed quickly, curious to see what team they were on. They ended up being on opposite teams and the final two in the fight. And since, Sebastian went easy on her, it was easy for her to bring her team to victory.
As the week progressed quickly, but in a good way, all kinds of traditions were celebrated.
It was now Christmas Eve and the family members who weren’t getting food ready for tomorrow, were out caroling. Y/n, Sebastian, his mom, his aunt Maggie, and his cousins travelled from house to house in the neighborhood and sang their hearts out. Y/n had heard Sebastian sing before but there was something different about him when he was belting out Christmas tunes. It was mesmerizing. When they were done caroling, Sebastian and his mom exchanged a look.
“What’s going on?”
“Well, we thought that since you didn’t go to Tulsa for Christmas this year, we’d bring a little bit of Oklahoma here for you.” Sebastian smiled.
“What’s that mean?”
“Well, darling, it means that we’re taking you to see our homemade version of the  Chickasha Festival of Light. We got a bunch of people from the neighborhood to help us set it up in the park. It may not be Oklahoma but we hope you’ll appreciate it just as much.”
“I’m sure I will.” y/n smiled and walked alongside Sebastian as they talked with his mom. “How did you guys know about that?”
“Seb told us last week. He told us that he wanted to do something special for you this year since you’re always doing wonderful things for him.”
“You raised quite the gentleman.”
“Thank you.”
The group continued their walk to the park. In the middle of the walk, one of Sebastian’s cousins approached y/n & asked her for a piggy back ride, which she gave him. One of his other cousins asked him the same thing & jumped on his back. When they got to the park, the lights turned on.
“Wow. This looks really great.” Y/n smiled and looked around. “Thanks for doing this.”
“Anyone who’s important to our little Sebastian is important to us. You’re family now, dear.” Aunt Maggie spoke kindly.
“I know it’s only been a week but I love you guys so much.”
They all continued to walk through the park. Y/n couldn’t help but shed a few tears as they continued their journey. Sebastian noticed this and held her hand tighter. When they got to the end of the light festival, they obviously stopped to take a picture.
Back at the house that night, after the younger kids and older family members were in bed, the adults were hanging out in the living room, drinking cocoa and talking about the events of Christmas day.
“I hear that Seb has something big planned for tomorrow.” his mom smirked as she nudged her sons arm.
“Mom, you’re making it out to be bigger than it is. It’s just a present for y/n that I know she’ll love.”
“I don’t think anything can top that light show. Honestly, being able to see it this year was amazing. I clearly have the best boyfriend ever and the best family here. I can’t thank you guys enough for everything this week.”
“No need to thank us, dear.” Aunt Maggie smiled. “We’re more than happy to do it.”
Y/n offered a smile in return and rested her head on Sebastian’s shoulder. When she yawned, he knew it was time to say goodnight to everyone.
“It’s been a fun night everyone but I’m afraid my sweet little baby here, is tired so I think we’re gonna call it a night.” He stood up and helped y/n to her feet. “We’ll see you in the morning.”
After the goodnights were exchanged, Sebastian nearly carried y/n up the stairs and set her on the bed.
“Do you want to change into your Christmas pjs?”
“I didn’t bring them.”
“I know. But, you see,” he paused and reached into his bag. “I did.” He held up the pair of matching pjs that she had gifted him the first year they lived together. When her eyes landed on them, she sat up.
“Have I ever told you that you’re the best?” she smiled and grabbed hers from his hand.
“I don’t recall.” He smiled and began to change.
“I’m gonna go change then I’ll be right back to tell you.” She smiled and went into the bathroom to change quickly before heading back to the room. “Okay. You’re the best.”
“I know.” He winked at her and moved over to give her some room. She laid down and faced him.
“Thank you for inviting me here. I’ve had the best week pretending to be your girlfriend, Seb. And it’s all thanks to you.”
“You’re my best friend & if I hadn’t invited you, you would’ve stayed at home all by yourself. I didn’t want you to be alone on Christmas. Plus, my mom was starting to get tired of hearing me talk about you & she wanted a face to match the stories.”
“It’s so cute that you talk about me with your mom.” She smiled. “What do you tell her about me?”
“I tell her about everything. I told her how funny you are & how smart you are. I also told her that you’re super successful at work.”
“I work a crappy office job that pays less than it should.”
“Yeah but you’ve only been there for a few months & you’ve already been promoted twice. That’s incredible.”
“Yeah. I guess you’re right.” She smiled and began to play with the strings on her pants. “You know, I owe a lot of my good luck & fortune on you.”
“How’s that?”
“You push me to work hard & you’re a solid support system when I feel like everything is falling apart. I can’t count the times you were there for me when I needed someone. You drop everything whenever I call & I know I’ve pulled you away from a lot of dates with those calls.”
“I’m always going to be there for you. No matter what.” He smiled and pulled the blanket over them. A brief moment passed between them where there was no line between platonic and romantic. “We should probably get some sleep. The kids like to wake up early & wake everyone else up with their excitement so we should be well rested when that happens.”
“Yeah. Goodnight, Seb.”
“Goodnight.” He kissed her head and faced away from her.
Morning came faster than expected and y/n woke up before anyone else did. Or so she thought. When she made her way down to the kitchen, Sebastian’s mom was already awake, preparing breakfast for the entire family.
“Good morning & Merry Christmas.”
“Oh, good morning dear. You’re awake early. Did you sleep well last night?”
“Yeah. I slept fantastic. Thank you for asking.” y/n walked over to the woman. “Do you need any help?”
“No, sweetie. You’re a guest in this house. You don’t have to help with anything.”
“I know but I want to. Besides, cooking breakfast for 15 people is probably exhausting. And I want to thank you for inviting me int your home with open arms. I’d be more than happy to help.”
“You are just the best. Thank you.” She looked around the kitchen. “There’s not a whole lot left to do, actually. Maybe you can help me with these dishes.”
“Okay. That works for me.” She grabbed a dish rag from the counter and followed her over to the sink.
When Sebastian woke up, he was surprised to find y/n’s side of the bed empty. He knew how much she loved sleeping in when she had an opportunity. He climbed out of bed and checked the bathroom first. When he didn’t find her in there, he went to the kitchen, figuring she probably got hungry and went to find food. He was not expecting her to be helping his mom with the dishes.
“Merry Christmas, lovely ladies.”
“Merry Christmas.”
“What’s going on here?”
“Your lovely girlfriend offered to help with breakfast, but I had everything done so we decided to do the dishes that I dirtied. She is a freaking saint, Seb.”
“She really, really is.” He smiled and kissed both of their heads. “Babe, when you’re done here, I got something for you upstairs.”
“Okay. I’ll be back up there shortly.” She returned to helping with the dishes while Sebastian went upstairs to look for the present he got y/n.
A few minutes later, she was in the room with him.
“What did you get me?”
“The first present is something I didn’t want to give to you in front of everyone else because they would’ve made a bigger deal out of it than it is.” He handed her a box and watched as she opened it.
“Okay,” she flipped the lid of the box and an evermee necklace was sitting inside. “Seb, this is amazing. I love it so much.”
“I already loaded it with a couple of our best photos together.” He helped her put it around her neck. “There. It looks beautiful.”
“This is the most amazing thing anyone has ever given me. Thank you.” She smiled and looked into his eyes. Before their lips would’ve met, Sebastian’s cousins came running into the room, ruining the moment they were having.
“It’s Christmas. Santa came. Come on. There’s presents.” They both shouted and  ran back out of the room.
“We should follow.”
“Yeah, let’s go.” y/n followed Sebastian down to the living room where everyone was gathered around the pile of presents. The kids went first and got toys, the adults went last and got stuff they wouldn’t break easily.
“Alright, I have an announcement to make you guys. And it’s a big one.” Sebastian stood up and looked over at y/n. “I’m sorry but I’ve been fooling you all. Y/n isn’t actually my girlfriend.”
“Are you sure? I know what love looks like & there’s no way that what you two have been doing all week, isn’t real love.”
“Well, she’s been my roommate and best friend for 8 years. I brought her here to see if you guys liked her and I didn’t want to be set up with a random girl. Especially not when I know exactly who I want to be with.” He walked towards y/n and pulled out another box. “The day you showed up to the apartment, I knew the connection we had would last forever. You are my best friend in every situation & I couldn’t ask for anybody else. I love you & want you to know that I will never ever let you go, if you give me the chance to try.”
“I love you too, Sebastian. Nobody knows me better than you do & there’s nobody I’d rather have by my side through all the troubles. You’ve helped me grow and become a better person. And I am definitely willing to put in the time with you so we can be together for the rest of our lives.”
“Wait, are you guys getting engaged or something? Because that’s what it’s starting to sound like & there’s a ring. Tell me I’m wrong.”
“We’re not getting engaged, but I do have a ring for her. It’s nothing fancy. Just a simple birthstone ring with the date we met engraved on the band.”
Y/n opened the box and smiled. “It’s beautiful, Sebby. I love it.”
“Do you love me?”
“Yes, you idiot. Weren’t you listening before?” y/n giggled and looked at the ceiling. “How convenient.”
“What?” Sebastian followed her gaze and grinned when he noticed the mistletoe. “So, does that mean-“
“Oh, just kiss her, you idiot.” His mom smiled while gently shoving them towards each other. Sebastian stabled them & looked into her eyes before finally pulling her close and making sure that this time, their lips actually met in a kiss filled with electricity.
