This is the haunted Rensow Manor in Rensow, Germany. It's not for sale, it's owned by a Danish Countess, and you can stay in the "library apartment" as a short term rental.

The Library Apt. is on the ground floor and was built in the part of the manor that was constructed in 1690.

The Countess has furnished the manor in 17th century furniture and a lot of the rooms are lit only by candlelight.

She has made a great effort to carefully preserve the Baroque era feel of the home and it exudes the dark academia style.

Dusty books line the shelves and heavy paintings decorate the walls. Globes and candelabras sit on tables.

The Countess actually lives here and guests have the apt. that includes a library/living room, bedroom, kitchenette and bath. A small wood burning stove heats the apt.

Carefully arranged tableaus are meant to be creepy.

Even sunlight doesn't brighten the space.

Quick announcement

My horror trilogy's first entry starring Tsuyuno Kurotani, Shadow Gazer: Rainy Twilight, is near ready to be uploaded.

This is my first time writing, and the story is just whatever the hell popped inside my head at the moment.

I'm about to start writing the summary for myself for the final chapter. The actual 8 chapters will be written as soon as possible.

Also I got some friends wanting to draw Tsuyuno herself AND OH MY GOD YOU GUYS ARE TOO SWEET I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE MY FIRST GAL POP OFF IN EVERYONE'S GORGEOUS ART

Prompt is: Using this picture, write a short story.

She sits, a cup of tea in her hand. Staring out of the window in the early morning. The sun is shining in, making the wobbly glass look like rainbows on the wall.

She calmly sips her tea, enjoying the morning when suddenly she feels like shes being watched.

She turns around, seeing nothing yet still skeptical.

She feels something creep closer, inch by inch.

She turns around to find a gigantic beast. It's drool pooling on the floor, sharp teeth, sharp bloodied claws, large body, white fur with black spots scattered all over, ruined with blood. Dried and fresh blood. It stares down at her, then growls.

"good morning Jerry" She says calmly, unfazed by the creature.

The creature gives a disappointed expression then suddenly transforms into a young ghost, looking about 23 years of age at most.

"Bah! I almost got ya Marie!" Jerry says smirking. "Next time for sure!

"Next time for sure" She agrees, knowing it wouldn't be next time.

But what's a little encouragement?

Welcome to the Haunted Manor in St. Paul, Minnesota. It was built in 1883, belonged to the same family for generations, and was once voted the most mysterious house in St. Paul by the local paper. (The Doberman is a friendly guy named Scorch.)

The current owners reno’d it and it’s not really haunted, just decorated with oddities and antiquities like the big old organ. 

Actually, it’s nice and doesn’t look creepy at all.

It now has an open floor plan living room/kitchen combo and a new spiral staircase that was actually made from an ash tree in the yard.

The spacious main bedroom is decorated very nicely and the nook in the turret is a great place to grow plants.

If anything, that sunken tub is pretty scary.

They call this space in the garden, “serenity.”

The part of the garden, they call the grotto.

Progress on the first entry of my horror series will begin writing process soon, I've figured out a lot of things. I think it should be out by January!

A 23 year old woman who is mainly going to be inspired by Isuzu Sohma from Fruits Basket!

I look forward to the completion of my first story, I regrettably still don't have a name for this series.

I added a few elders to my household and named them all Cow (Cow 1, Cow 2, Cow 3) with the last name Livestock. They are blood bags for my vampire while she works and makes money for the manor, and survives the haunt.

What's better is that whenever one dies, I replace them, and their ghosts hang around the manor and make the place even more haunted.

I love it here.
