Regulus rolls his eyes. “Thought it would be fun to freeze my arse off in the cold today.”

James scoffs disbelievingly. “It’s 5 in the morning!”

Regulus just raises his eyebrow. “And?”

“Why aren’t you asleep?”

“I could ask the same thing.”

James groans out loud in frustration. “This is such a waste of time.”

“Glad we could finally agree on something. Now get out, I have to get back to training.”

“Shouldn’t you be focusing on how to kill muggles instead with your death eater friends?”

Regulus stiffens at that, anger coursing through him. “Not everyone has the luxury of choices like the gryffindor golden boy.” Regulus glared at Potter. “Some of us have to work for it.”

James goes to argue but there’s something off about the sentence. “Slytherin has beaten everyone else by miles since you became a seeker.”

Regulus looks at him like he’s the slow one. “That’s not going to cut it. I need to be signed on full time by a professional team this time next year.”

And suddenly - it clicks. James looks at the boy in front of him, really looks at him for the first time, finally understanding the desperation with which regulus plays, the ruthless efficiency combined with skill and hours of training.

This isn’t a game to him. It’s his way out.

Darnold talking about Gordon's gun hand is beginning to fuck with me. Bc. He emphasizes "Oh everything's fine its just like your old arm it's ok my potion totally worked." It's just like his old arm. Its like his old arm. Darnold isn't even AWARE of the sheer amount of killing Gordon has been forced to do but somehow convinces Gordon it shouldn't feel any different from his old arm. Gordon didn't want to kill in the first place but he's been forced to murder like hundreds of people because of the shit he's going through, and when he gets to the point of getting the minigun arm he's accepted the fact he's a murderer. His hand literally became a gun because he's accepted to go fuck it guns blazing kill everything because he got just so tired of trying. Look at me dead in the eyes. Gordo Feetmans development is so much to me.

Not to even MENTION the SOLUTION for his whole "dead weight" situation after losing a hand was to just have his hand become a gun. Look at me. Gordon wanted literally anything else than to just be useless and if that meant mystery potion and minigun arm he was going to do whatever it took to be useful and survive. I'm going crazy insane. I'm crying.

Man is not even slightly offended by the "just like ur old arm" comments but I AM and im choosing to beleive this has way more meaning than was probably intended.

Something something been having brainrot about how MK is a manifestation of the relationship between Wukong and Macaque and a representation of history repeated and learned from. He’s all of Wukong’s traits and all of Macaque’s fears reimagined in a new being, and because of who he is as a person, he walked the same path as them and didn’t lose himself in the process

It’s fascinating to me to look at the three of them because the show makes an excellent point of constantly comparing and contrasting them. MK is like Wukong but he’s something more light and a little less confident. He’s living in Wukong’s shadow with every move he makes even if Wukong himself isn’t aware. Macaque doesn’t notice this at first though and constantly hammers in that to him, MK is Wukong’s worst traits potentially repeated— and while it looks like he’s just taunting MK in Shadowplay, I think it was a little more than that. He’s trying to warn MK in his own way— “don’t become like Wukong”. He clearly thinks MK is a good kid, he goes out of his way to say it multiple times. And MK continuously proves him wrong, trying to convince him to join their side in season three even while Macaque is actively harming them, and then again when he refuses to leave Mei behind in the season 3 finale. Everything he does contrasts Wukong spectacularly even though (or rather, BECAUSE) he has the same characteristics

And by the end of season 3’s special, MK has earned Macaque’s support for it

(I’m so looking forward to the idea of Wukong and Macaque truly reconciling because Wukong’s gone through a lot of the smacks on the head that he needs to tell him he needs to take a different approach to the way he interacts with Macaque after all the mistakes he’s made)
