I wouldn’t be surprised at all if they did have some romantic history/were exes because their rivalry seems very personal and I’ve sensed some sexual tension between them! I’m convinced too! Some of Jamie and Kate’s negative comments towards each other feel like flirtations/things you would say to a past romantic partner. Jamie is always teasing about Kate’s perfect face, and the scene of them exploring together made me ship them🥰

Every character (especially supermassive characters) is in my opinion, bisexual until proven otherwise, so I can totally see Kate and Jamie being attracted to each other, even if it was in the past.

Even if nothing happened and it was just a never acted upon crush, an obsession, a homoerotic rivalry, etc. I understand why people might ship them because they have such a fascinating dynamic that reminds me of many enemies to lovers dynamics❤️
