The Campaign for Southern Equality, in partnership with state and local organizations, is providing rapid response support to the families of youth who are impacted by anti-transgender healthcare bans that are passing across the South. We are providing grants, navigation support, and resources to impacted families as they ensure their children can access the care they need and deserve. We are currently providing support to impacted families in Mississippi, Tennessee and South Carolina, and we are preparing to work in other states.

Been a minute since I posted on my tumblr but, this is a better time than ever; I have a few announcements.

First, I’ve just recently started my transition and am now, she/they. 🏳️‍⚧️✨

Second, Me and my partner started a gofundme in order help fund our escape from the south. We’re currently living in one of the more conservative and anti-bipoc/anti-trans part of the southern US and need assistance fleeing. Outside of how dangerous it is for us and the violence we’re facing, it’s also been very isolating living here as we have lost contact with our family..

We are moving to the PNW where we can have better gender affirming health care, more equitable healthcare in general and be in/find a new community. Hopefully one where a newly transitioned, black trans fem (myself) would be less likely to experience acts of violence and fatal hate crimes simply for existing.

We have to vacate where we currently live on Sept 28th so please help us crowdfund.

Getting top surgery has been a standing dream of mine for almost five years now. I knew this was something I wanted to do, but until recently it never felt like a possibility. Now, as an adult, I have that chance, but I do need help to do it.

All the money gained from this gofundme will go towards doctor visits, tests/scans, aftercare products for the procedure and the surgery itself. It will also cover my expenses for the time I will be unable to work following the surgery (including bills/food). Should there be any money left over it will go towards my testosterone supplies and my name/gender marker change. So all the money donated will go towards my gender transition!

I will also be saving up my own money (I feel like that's a given), but on my own it would take well over a year and I can't afford to wait that long.

I am writing to share some distressing news about a beloved member of my family, Catherine. She is my cousin , and she is currently facing a challenging health battle.

Catherine has been admitted to PIH Health Downey Hospital due to Flu(influenza). As you can imagine, this has been an incredibly difficult time for our family. However, we are doing everything in our power to support Catherine through this ordeal.

Hi, my chosen name is Arthur. As of Halloween 2023, I will officially have been on Testosterone HRT for one year. As many people know, it is strongly recommended to wait until one year has passed on HRT before getting gender affirming surgeries, such as top or bottom surgery whether you're MTF, or FTM like me.

I'm hoping to raise $10,000 dollars to pay for my own gender affirming top surgery, as research has shown that 10,000 is on the higher end of the average costs. My chest has always been a huge source of body dysphoria for me, since before I realized I was a trans man. The funds will be used to cover the cost of consultations, surgery, and surgery after care since I do not have any medical insurance. Because of the healing period required after surgery, I would be unable to work for a period of time and the leftover funds after surgery would be used to help support myself (food, toiletries, etc).

If you cannot donate for any reason, I take no offense and I don't want anyone donating if they financially cannot take it. I only ask that you share this and boost this to other people you know.

man it is seriously depressing remembering how excited i was when i first got my bottom surgery referral multiple years ago now like things were finally looking up i was so excited to finally get surgery after waiting my entire life i was constantly browsing bottom surgery forums to read other ppls account of their recovery etc. i really couldnt wait to feel comfortable in my own skin and be able to have sex the way i wanted and be able to shower with the lights on and all that. and then that was all taken away from me. and all that imagining post-op life that made me so excited is so painful now bc i know it is so far off and possibly i'll never be able to have it bc the nhs can just arbitrarily take it away from me again on the whim of one doctor.

cant stop thinking about emigrating cause i know i would literally get bottom surgery faster if i moved to another country and went through their processes despite the fact that my initial gic referral was in 2017 lol. even if i got my bottom surgery referral today (realistically i won't be re-referred for like another decade p much, and no they won't let me keep my old place in the bottom surgery waiting list, i checked many times with gdnrss lol) it still might be faster to emigrate. i know that a friend of mine who was recommended for bottom surgery in 2019 recently had surgery (she's a trans woman, im aware the waiting times are an order of magnitude longer for masculinising bottom surgery bc of the nhs fucking up the st peters contract too) and like i definitely know foreign surgeons with wayy faster turnaround than that, although im not sure how quickly i could become a citizen to become eligible for those countries' healthcare systems. maybe i could take advantage of my british passport privileges idk how much easier that would make it. but anyway i've been on and off thinking about moving to cuba since i was 16 anyway for anti-imperialist reasons, and ofc they have free bottom surgery there. ive have stayed put bc i think there needs to be communists in the imperial core too to sabotage imperialist efforts to crush revolutions abroad if nothing else bc the british people are so impotent lol, but like damn if britain doesnt keep giving me reason after reason to leave this shitty place
