I've been heartbroken for quite a few days, ever since the 3rd week of March. I did recover from that in between but again fell into that same unbearable pain today.
Healing a Broken Heart:
I started, initially, by cutting off contact with the person responsible for my pain.
I thought, eating one of my favourite foods might help. But, it only calms you only for the moment.
I immersed myself into studying, but when the hurt came back today, I couldn't focus a bit in the evening.
I spent most of my evening lying on the bed, crying inconsolably while trying to soothe myself. Crying is a part of healing. Feeling the pain surge through you, the regret of what could have been done instead and how the situation could have been taken care of is all a part of healing.
For dinner, I had a very wholesome cottage cheese curry with rice.
Late at night when I couldn't calm myself down, I went to the terrace. I was greeted with a sweet cool breeze. I did bring my binoculars with me, to gaze at the night sky. To my surprise, I found a kite, lying at the floor with it's string attached to a coconut tree, standing upright at a distance. Yes, I kept the kite.
I came down after sometime and decided to focus on studying. But it just wasn't happening, so, I decided to go through Tumblr

I've been in a slump for about 2 months. And, I've been hating that. After having done by best possible to get out of it, I haven't really made much progress. Now I am totally fed up with myself.
And, doing a productivity challenge is going to be my last-ditch effort to make things better.
The way things went today:
started my morning by making a brand new routine which will be tailored according to my needs these days I wake up in the morning not feeling fresh or energetic
spoke to a friend, things did not end well
did not get much studying done
What do you do to get out of a slump?

That is 100% true.
I believe one should study all round the year effectively for 5-6 hours so that you don't have to pay the price for not doing so, later on. And, definitely focus on the quality(i.e. the amount of work done) rather than the hours.

It's my final academic year of MBBS. I have 3 major exams knocking at my door. Two in January and one in March.
Tomorrow's Christmas. I don't feel much excited about it. I would have, if not for my exams.

Studied : nutritional anemia, Coronary Heart Disease.
My afternoon went terribly. Couldn't study more than this till 5:00pm.
I just have 2 days left for my 3rd Professional Part-I exams to begin.
I am worrying a lot about how big the syllabus is and I have 4 papers for 4 days straight with no gap days in between at all. Plus, the personal problems and past study mistakes are haunting me.
I just wish to get better and be able to utilize my full potential in studying more and finally finishing off 80% of my syllabus.

A postmenopausal woman in her 50s came in with tooth decay and breakage.
On examining, most of her teeth were broken and among the ones that were intact, many of them had cavities.
And this reminds me how important tooth care is, which I am sure a lot of people neglect in their early 20s and 30s.
Now here's the important part :
A lot of people unknowingly suffer from Vitamin D deficiency due to lifestyle and eating habits. Generally we see this in postmenopausal women and the elderly but nowadays it's also prevalent among children and adults.
Vitamin D deficiency can often have no symptoms until it becomes severe. Sometimes, it can present as fatigue and muscle weakness or bone/joint pains.
And when levels are unregulated and the deficiency is untreated for long it can lead to tooth decay. Vitamin D deficiency can also cause depression. And when we are depressed we tend to neglect our health.
Yes age does play a role. You are definitely going to have tooth problems in your late 70s & 80s.
But I can guarantee that no one wants that in their late 40s and mid 50s.
So here's what you can do :
Make sure you are taking a healthy, nutritious diet on a regular basis and your life is more or less organised.
If you feel easily tired/sleepy or muscle weakness or bone pains, definitely see a doctor and get a 25-hydroxy Vitamin D test. Monitoring Vitamin D levels yearly can help because sometimes it does not present with symptoms until it reaches a severe stage.
Maintain oral hygiene: brush teeth twice a day(a lot out there don't) ; rinse mouth with Chlorhexidine Mouthwash for 5mins after dinner ; floss regularly.
Do not delay visits to a dentist. Do get checked for cavities. Get hold of an honest dentist who will cater to your needs.
Take care of yourself(body+mind). Also, if you have diabetes, get it checked and under control.

- Finally my results came out on 11th.
And, I definitely aced it. My scores got much better.
- But, I do feel, I need to study more now. It's a new semester. Things are going to be much tougher now.
- These days, I've been studying surgery. Mainly covered Testicular tumors and BPH. Even though it's a 4th year subject, I've been finding it really interesting and been studying in advance.
- Now, I definitely need to be focusing more on 3rd year subjects- Eye, ENT and Community Medicine. Need to finish my syllabus ASAP.

Just 11 days left for my 2nd Professional MBBS Examination to begin.
Recently, my days look like :
- Wake up
- Breakfast
- Study
- Lunch
- Study
- Shower
- Taking a nap + playing online games(break)
- Study
- Dinner
- Sleep
Repeat.
I'll cut out playing online games, today.
This month's been tough.
However, September's going to be tougher. And, I am prepared for it.

Last few months had been totally crazy.
Had three I.A. exams. Well, it was difficult to do attend classes and clinics whilst managing the two other subjects(Forensic and Pharmacology).
I was just going about my life haphazardly, attending Clincs on Eye, Medicine and at the same time, doing classes on ENT, Medicine and Eye. Then I would get home to study Forensic, and after Forensic Medicine exams were over, I started with Pharmacology.
I did take a break from classes and clinics as the I.A. exams were more important. Initially, these exams felt like a punishment. But later on, I realised that those exams gave me a chance to be better.
Also, I got to know on what parts I was lagging behind. I really needed that reality check since my 2nd Professional exams are just a month away. Now I know where to focus on.
For now, I would solely be focusing on my 2nd Professional subjects. But first I need to finish an assignment on Tuberculosis ASAP(date of submission: 30.07.22)

Attend Forensic Medicine offline class at college at 11am✅️
Revise and rewrite notes taken at college and the chapter that was taught✅️
Watch a 55min video on 'Immune Response' (partially done)
Solve 40 marks paper on 'Immune Response ' (not done)
Go out to play cricket at 5:30pm
Dinner by 9pm
Extra :
- In the evening, I was feeling very tired and my hands were hurting. And honestly I was distracted today.
- At round 9pm I was really feeling very sleepy. Somehow I forced myself to watch the video on "Immune Response" and take notes. At the end, I dozed off for some 15 mins, after which I decided I should stop for today.
- Overall, today was not a very great day. Honestly I am a little upset and I am going to consider this a faliure.
But , I am not a quitter.

- I felt a little happier today than I was yesterday. Going out and playing always makes me feel good. Also, spoke to a friend over call. It was refreshing.
- I feel, I am going slow when it comes to studying. I think, I should set more study tasks and increase my pace.
- had a small bowl of boiled corn as my evening snack. Absolutely loved it.

Extra : Guilty of listening to an audio story - "The Bandits of Bombay" by Satyajit Ray and napping in the afternoon for an extra 30 minutes. Also, ate some brown rice and fish after 9pm as I really was very hungry. Next time, I'll keep some peanuts to snack on, incase I feel hungry.

I don't know whether I should be relieved or a bit sad that my exams got postponed.
I mean, I did work hard and prepared well for it, so the thought of waiting for another 3 months and having to review my entire study material from the beginning feels tiring.
Nevertheless, after slacking off for solid two weeks, it's finally time to get back to work, since I have my Forensic Medicine exam coming soon.

1. had been studying microbiology. This year the theory paper is going to be really lengthy. Plus, the "laboratory diagnosis" questions are super-important.
2.gave most of my time to studying pharmacology today. And, I must say that I find it very engrossing.
3. have been trying to give most of my time and energy to exam prep and amidst that having to go to college has been killing some good amount of self-study time.
4. exams begin from 2nd week of May. And, these exams are of paramount importance. Even, more important and serious than the previous one.
5. would be giving my best to studying in the little time(19days approx.) that I have.
