dpxdc drossover not phantom planet complient, Jason attacks titans tower AU , good fenton parents - link to AO3 if you'ld rather read there https://archiveofourown.org/works/53359585
------------------------------------------------------------------
Danny was flying over the bay in Jump city. The Fentons were on a road trip - Jazz was in the process of picking what college she wanted to attend, and since Phantom was no longer a secret from his parents, and he had passed his portal making test from Wulf, rather than have to fly, or drive around the country, he was making portals and visiting each college.
The downside of this was that the portals were a little wibbly wobbly with time. Hey - he only just passed the test - So sometimes the portals would drop them off in a location a few days before the open day (Fortunately for Jazz’s remaining sanity, he hadn’t yet arrived too late for an open day, but with four left to go there was still a chance).
Since mom and dad now knew about Phantom, They were taking the opportunity to drag the whole family around the country, to every college Jazz was looking at (and with neither time or travel being a concern, she was looking at A LOT), and having a few days around the town afterwards, seeing the local sights as well. So they were in Jump City for a few days before Jazz went to see UC Berkeley: and Danny couldn’t sleep.
Or at least that's what he told mum after persuading her he would be fine to go for a quick invisible flight before bed.
Invisible of course, because Jump city was home to the teen titans - a local group of teenage superheroes - and the last thing he needed was to be noticed by them. Not that he had anything against superheroes - technically he was one - but Amity had been under media blackout since before the titans were formed. It was only after Tucker had managed to crack the media blackout - and get a quick message out to the justice league helpline about the GIW and the Anti-Ecto- Acts, that Danny had even realised there were other teen heroes.
That had been a very hectic few weeks. The GIW were quickly disbanded, and it turned out the AEA which Danny had been so afraid of, were a load of bull! They never existed! As the Justice League explained, with the Meta Protection Acts so much in the public view, there was no way any Acts that labelled those with unusual powers as not sentient - was ever going to pass. It was just a lie the GIW put about to prevent Amity Parkers from asking for help.
The Justice League had also told mom and dad they had to permanently close the portal, or at least have much, much more security to prevent ghosts coming and going as much. They eventually agreed to this, with a lot of grumbling, and it was one of the reasons that Danny needed to learn to make portals so quickly. Mom and dad told the justice league that, as Amity Park had so many natural portals anyway - that opened up from time to time - they would need to open it occasionally to send the ‘visitors’ who came through the portal back home. But the justice league argued that should be the only reason to open the portal.
Dad kept arguing that how were they supposed to research ghosts (no longer for ripping them apart molecule by molecule - as learning about their son being Phantom had changed their ideas massively) - and how they interact with each other and the world - with the portal only open for emergencies. Until Mom sidled up beside him and whispered that “Danny can still open portals if needed dear” which shut dad up so quickly that the justice league member - John somebody - looked at him suspiciously - and then went outside for another smoke. Eventually it was settled, with mom volunteering to supply the justice league with some anti-ecto technology - particularly specter deflectors, because no-one wants an overshadowed superman.
Anyway, after all the portals and GIW were sorted, the Justice league made some noise about this Phantom ghost - and they needed to meet him and assess what to do. The public of Amity Park were (as always) mixed in reviews, but Valarie, who had already met up with the League when they arrived, as Red Huntress, said very publicly that “As the local hero of Amity, I will make sure he doesn’t bother the public”. Then, more quietly, to the league “... besides Phantom really only stops the other ghosts from causing trouble, and with the portal shut there should be less of that.” And finally, lying through her teeth, “If there’s any trouble, I'll call you guys in”.
The Constantine guy hung around for a few more days, but since there was no sign of Phantom, and the only ghost that came through a natural portal, was an animal ghost, that was easily souped by Red Huntress. Constantine watched as it was yeeted back into the Ghost Zone - and eventually left with only mild complaining.
Now Danny, why did Phantom not appear? Well, since the beginning  of Phantom appearing, he really was only a hero to stop people getting hurt. He didn't want to be a hero. He just wanted to stop the ghosts coming through the portal. Since Val was there to deal with the Justice league, and they were now getting on fairly well because of Dani, she could be the ‘Hero of Amity Park’ and she had his number to give him a shout if needed. That way he could actually get his grade up high enough to have a chance of attending a decent college to be an astronaut.
So with that all sorted, and ghosts now more of an occasional thing than a day to day problem, he was able to leave Amity Park and actually go on holiday! Besides, if he got bored and wanted a fight, he could now portal to the GZ, grab a frenemy- and duke it out without any collateral damage. Frostbite and Clockwork had both said, one much more plainly than the other, that ghosts - particularly young ghosts like Danny, Dani, and even Vlad - who was young by ghost standards, would start to go a bit mad without regular enrichment. Apparently enrichment for ghosts was beating the stuffing out of each other.
This did explain why Vlad was so much of a fruitloop - being confined to a bed for many years, and then not having anyone he could brawl with - left him badly lopsided. It turned out that regularly punching him in the face was good for the both of them. Left him less mad, and was very, very cathartic for Danny. Vlad these days was still a fruitloop, but tended to leave humans out of it, and just kidnap Danny for various jigsaw-ish traps - with given that Danny could use his powers, was more like a fun escape room than anything more dangerous.
So, back to the evening flight in Jump City. Danny had carefully talked around Titans tower. He said he would make sure that the heroes wouldn’t see him - well he was invisible, so they wouldn’t. But he did want to see how the other side live, as it were. He wanted to see what these teen heroes were doing. If they were getting support from adult heroes, as Danny had desperately needed when he started, and now, thankfully had - but only after going through a ton of stuff alone. Well, not alone, but certainly without adult help.
But mainly to see what the inside of the tower looked like. And maybe take some pictures for Sam and Tucker - to prove he’d been there.
As Danny approached the tower, he didn't see anyone through the window in what he assumed was the common area, the lights were dim, it looked like the heroes were all in bed. Bit early for teens to be in bed, but maybe they had a big fight today, not like he follows the news or anything. Danny double checked he had a tight grip on his invisibility, and phased through the window.
He flew around the common room, poked his head into the kitchen, and started drifting down the corridor. He didn't really care for the common area, though it was quite big, and he took a snap to show Sam and Tucker, but what he was really looking for was a control room type thing. A briefing room? A round table? He wasn't quite sure, something Hero-y. He drifted down the hall, and stopped.
What was with that door?
It was an automatic sliding door, but it was stuck - open. It can't have detected him - he was still intangible. There was no movement to detect, the air was going through him. Like there was an electrical fault? Huh - broken door  - fair enough, rough housing superheroes could defo break a door. Probably hadn't been fixed yet. He drifted through.
This level looked like bedrooms, probably some degree of privacy violation to peek, and he’s already entered without permission. Best leave that alone just in case, don't want to get an eyeful of something. Snooping in communal areas is fine. Like technically trespassing, but no-one really cares - looking in the bedroom is a lot weirder.
He phased down a couple of floors - Sick, training room. Taking photos for Tucker, man this place would make Dash weep with envy. Pretty much every fitness machine Danny had heard of, then like a dozen more. Big flat area in the middle for sparring? Probably. Most people can't just spar mid air afterall.
Danny jumped so much he went up to the floor above - that was a shout. Had someone seen him? No, his invisibility was still on. Now that he had noticed it, he could still hear the shouts, a few floors below - someone was having an argument. Best avoid that then.
Next was a sound of pain, unmistakable that was the sound someone made after being punched. Surely if it was a spar, that would stop now right? Except, Danny was on the gym floor. With the sparring area. And there was no-one there.
Danny drifted slightly closer to the sounds of what was now quite obviously a fight. Down a few levels, and his ghost sense went off. But then didn't. Like it started then changed its mind. Danny flew down to the fight entirely now - how on earth was a ghost in Jump City! He didn't even have a thermos on him, it was back in the hotel room. He was going to have to make a portal and yeet the ghost through! There was no way the heroes wouldn't notice a portal appearing in titans tower! This was going to completely blow his cover. Damn it!
Some Guy was wailing on some other guy. What? Danny doesn't know who these people are, for all he knows these guys both could be villains that broke in and then got in a disagreement. But the larger guy was setting off his ghost sense, and had glowing green eyes. And the smaller guy was definitely still a teen, so by process of elimination was probably one of the teen titans. Without thinking Danny lifted the phone he was holding and took a photo - the flash on the camera started the two into stopping for a moment.
Danny dropped his visibility and swooped in.
“And, time out. Ring ring ring, back to your corner meathead, he’s already down” He pulled the bigger guy away and pushed him back a few feet.
He got snarled at for his trouble - green glowing eyes, and angry to the point of non verbal. Overshadowed human maybe? Well, time for a real estate battle then. Danny phased into the big guy - he was an expert at kicking other ghosts out by now.
Except he couldn’t - because there was no ghost to kick out. The anger was all coming from the human - so a human full of ecto, and really cross about it, and trying to deal with it the way ghosts do - with a big fight. Except he’s fighting humans, who are nowhere near as durable as ghosts, so he’s just beating up a kid.
Ok - Danny is going to have to take over. He leans part way out of the guys, who roars again, and high fives the teen who just stood up.
“Tag, I'm in. I'll bring him back when he’s no longer incoherent with rage. Bye for now”
Danny then flew with the guy out through the side of the building to find a nice empty bit of land for a fight. He’d be back to the hotel late tonight, he hoped mom wasn't waiting up.
—---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tim looked at the empty wall that Hood had just been kidnapped through.
“Did he just take a photo? That's My thing!”

So I see a lot of people complaining about how there's "too many" crossover fics with the Batfam. Especially Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir, Danny Phantom, and Spider-Man. Personally, I find them fun, but the point of this post isn't to share my opinion on those. I want to know what other fandoms could crossover.
Now, the biggest thing those listed above have in common is they provide the Protagonists with either family or a mentor(s). Here are some other fandoms I think could work.
1. Steven Universe
He already fits the mistaken for a Wayne trope. Also, imagine the Crystal Gems interacting with the Batfam. I think Steven could go to Gotham during a road trip, or the Batfam goes to investigate Beach City
2. Gravity Falls
Pacifica could bring the Dipper and Mabel to a gala in Gotham, or the Wayne's go to one in Gravity Falls and hear about the weird stuff. Imagine Tim going through the journals with Dipper or teaching Mabel how to use a grappling hook.
3. The Owl House
Eda commits a crime at night in Gotham. This catches the Batfamily's attention.
4. Ouran High School Host Club
The Wayne's are rich. Maybe they go to Ouran to investigate a random rich family. Maybe the Host Club goes to Gotham for a gala. Either way I think it could work.

2022 Fic Wrap-up
Happy New Year! Decided to make a list of all the fics I’ve written in the last year.
Family Secrets: Danny Phantom - The Fentons take a week during winter break to fix up the old family cabin. When Danny and Jazz stumble across a secret, an old artifact has a strange effect on Danny. (Complete)
Can’t Go Home Again: Danny Phantom - Three weeks ago Danny told his parents about him being Phantom. They didn't take it well. His friends haven't heard from him since then, so they summon him back to Earth. (On Hiatus)
Warped Mirror: Danny Phantom - A year and a half ago, Danny Fenton stepped into a portal. He tripped and hit the button inside... but it was unplugged, so nothing happened.
Today, Danny Fenton is a ghost hunter like his parents. A ghost sends him into another world where everything he knows is backwards. (On Hiatus)
Autumn Roads: Danny Phantom - Kitty and Johnny are having a good time, riding through the human world on an autumn night, when Phantom comes to ruin their fun. The encounter raises questions for the pair. Mainly, why doesn't this Phantom kid know anything about being a ghost? (Complete)
Quality Time: DPxDC - The life of a vigilante crime lord made it hard to schedule family time. When Jason wasn’t dealing with someone trying to muscle in on his turf or some supervillain nonsense, he was having to juggle the logistics of keeping his little criminal organization on track. He barely had a day to himself, let alone one to spend with anyone else.
The fact remained that Danny had asked to go to a water park months ago. (Complete)
Clean Up on Aisle Ninja: DPxDC - Danny was not expecting to see a whole posse (was that even the right term?) of ninjas when he popped out of the ectoplasm portal. To be honest, he wasn’t expecting to see anyone. Fright Knight had told him that there were pools of tainted ectoplasm spread around Earth that he would have to cleanse, but not where they were or who was around them.
“Uh. Avon calling?” Danny joked.
He instantly turned intangible as twelve knives, shuriken, and spears pierced his location. (Complete)
Tell Me More: DPxDC - Tim wakes up bound to a chair in a cold, white room. Not too unusual for him, until the kidnappers start calling him Phantom and acting like he's not human. (Complete)
A Little Trick: DPxDC - There's something spooky going on in the Watchtower. No one can figure out how to stop it, so they call on the King of Ghosts to sort things out. (Complete)
Found and Lost: DPxDC - The Justice League has been called up to help with the raid of a mysterious organization that was recently exposed for its inhumane experimentation on beings known as ghosts. Robin wasn't expecting to find a strange thermos in the middle of what looks like a torture chamber. He certainly wasn't expecting to find a boy inside of the thermos. (Complete)
Night Will Come but Not to Stay: DPxDC - Jazz is excited about going to Gotham University for college. It's halfway across the country from Amity Park and anyone who knows about her weird family or ghost nonsense. Finally, she can pretend to be a normal woman who just wants to go into psychiatry. She meets a cute guy named Jason, and they seem to be getting along great.
Jason finally decided to put aside his vigilante work long enough to get a degree. He's learning how to be a normal person again, with a family that cares for him. He's even made a few civilian friends, including a cute girl named Jazz.
Surely, nothing could come up that would reveal their other lives to each other. (WIP)
Anima, Animus: DPxDC - There is a darkness growing in Gotham. One that is far different from the comfortable shadows and familiar fiends that the Bat-family is used to. It is preying on their people and making life even more dangerous than usual. They need an expert to find out what is happening to their city.
Halfway across the country, ghostly hero Danny Fenton is having dreams that belong to someone else: his long-lost brother Jason Todd. (WIP)

Preliminary Poll Number 1
Hey gang! It's time for our first prelim!
So, in my submissions, I got several for some combination of Pines Twins + Some Other Character/Pair From Something Tangentially Similar. And! I even got one for a GROUP of those, just "Mystery Kids" as the submission with a broad list of possible members.
In the interest of not having five different entries that are not just the same basic concept over and over, we're going to do a mass Gravity Falls crossover. We'll pretend the other three are on a family road trip and happen to stop at the same time or something idk.
Anyway.
Tumblr media
Who's joining the Pines Twins for the poll?
Tumblr media
I realize that a four way crossover with multiple groups sort of goes against the spirit of the submission rule, but I have a few submissions that I think will be heavy enough hitters to compete with such a big group and I'm planning to team up ties so hopefully it won't get out of hand.

ugh. Of course I dreamt all night that I had to maintain this huge aquarium in a blizzard and pipes kept falling out of it spilling water everywhere and flooding the apartment to knee level. I think there was a revolution going on in the background, or maybe a prison escape or a religious war? I was dealing with the damn aquarium. Man I don’t even think there were any fish in it. Obviously everyone in the house started yelling at me every time a flood interrupted dinner or a war meeting and we had to wade around cleaning stuff up while I put the pipes back.

White for the Pure Joy I feel
by Silver_Melody
Danny, now a young man whose only goal was to pass his online college courses, was de-aged by an incident with the Guys in White and was forced to feel Amity with Tucker and Sam.
Maybe it should have alarmed him more that he could potentially and permanently stay as a seven-year-old but his child-like mind was so enraptured by the wool of his new lime green mittens to care.
Or De-aged Danny goes through the 5 +1 road trip of soft fluffy things that brought him comfort and the one time it gave someone else, a stranger, comfort.

Danny Phantom Family Road Trip
So I'm on holiday with my family (we're being safe) and it got me thinking about what it would be like for all of the Fenton's to be on a holiday together.
I mentioned this on the discord and @lucifer-is-a-bag-of-dicks and I brainstormed this chaotic mess. Also, Lula's sister hulled so much weight with god-tier with dialogue, honestly, it's fantastic.
On this fun family trip, we have everyone.
Jack, Maddie, Danny, Jazz, Dani (Ellie), Dan, Aunt Alica, Flynn, and Vlad.
The Fenton's are all travelling in the Fenton RV and the seating configuration is like a maxi-taxi.
So driver and passenger.
Three backwards facing seats,
Three forward-facing seats looking at the backwards seats.
And three seats at the back. However, since there are only nine people on this trip two of the seats in the last row are put down to make room for the luggage. Meaning there's one lonesome seat at the back.
Jack and Maddie take turns driving, and Aunt Alica puts her hat in the ring for that too. But Jack drives first. So the main seating configuration is. Jack (driver), Ellie (passenger), she wants to see the sights.
Danny, Maddie and Dan are in the backwards-facing seats with Maddie in the middle. As soon as it's known that Maddie isn't sitting in the passenger seat both Danny and Dan simultaneously say, "I'm sitting next to mom," then glare at each other for it. But then reluctantly agree to it when they both realise that the other is stopping Vlad from sitting next to Maddie.
Next in the front-facing seats, we have Jazz, Flynn and Aunt Alica. Aunt Alica insisted on sitting next to Flynn (partially for Flynn, partially for her sister so she could keep Vlad further away from Maddie).
Finally, in the lonely seat in the back, we have Vlad, in Lula's words, being a sad little meow meow. Vlad is trying desperately to make eye contact with Maddie during this trip. It's important to note that Alica keeps moving her hair to keep getting in the way of Vlad's sightline of Maddie, while opening up for Dan's glorious death stare. Alica is in front of Vlad and Dan is in front of her, and somehow they unknowingly (on Dan's part, Aunt Alica can clearly see the death stare directed at Vlad) work together to reduce Vlad's interactions with Maddie.
On the next driving shift, Maddie is the driver and Vlad manages to sneak into the passenger seat, and Alica declares that she wants to take the next driving shift.
Dan sits in the front-facing seat behind the passenger and Vlad can feel his unblinking gaze. Dan is giving a death stare through the review mirror.
Danny and Dan have one thing in common, and that's the desire to stare Vlad down. It's the only mutual ground they have.
"Shit's tense but at least we both hate Vlad," as Lula said.
Danny 🤝 Dan Hating Vlad
Flynn meanwhile is glad to be home and with his family, but Dan, a full ghost, feels more familiar to be around. Flynn and Dan are a bit awkward a first because socialising??? With other beings?? Positively???
But they start to hang out more, partially because they're both the older 'kids'. They probably become friends by the end of the trip. And it's good because they both need friends. Big bro energy!!
Jazz joins them whenever she wants to because they're adults but they're closer to her age. Together they are the BIG SIB SQUAD!!
Danny and Ellie are cool just chilling with each other, but they would be annoying little shits, especially to Jazz, who's still a kid and not an adult like Flynn and Dan.
The baby sibs would annoy the shit out of all of the big sibs, less so for Flynn, at least at the start. They don't want to scare him off.
But then they pull a prank on Dan and get Flynn in on it, after all, Flynn knows how to sneak around ghosts after living in the ghost zone for years.
All of the kids team up for an epic prank on Vlad and to ensure that none of them gets caught. Vlad is sure it's at least Danny and Ellie, but he has no proof, and he only slightly thinks it might have been all of them.
During this trip, Jazz has taken it on herself to update Flynn and Ellie's knowledge of the world. And during this Danny and Dan say dumb untrue shit like, "You forgot about the sinkhole that ate the Eiffel Tower," and "What about the alien invasion last year?"
And Jazz gets exasperated, "THOSE THINGS DID NOT HAPPEN!"
And Dan counters, "How do you know they didn't happen in my timeline?"
And sometimes Danny and Dan say the same wild thing at the same time, with almost the exact same wording.
"There was a dinosaur resurrected with DNA found in a mosquito," - Danny
"Don't forget the dinosaur resurrected with DNA found in a Mosquito," - Dan
And they end in sync.
When they do it, it pisses them both off to no end.
But Danny and Dan saying the exact same thing really throws off Flynn who thinks that it probably happened.
(Thank Lula's sister for this next part 😊)
During the trip, they try to pass time with games, so Maddie goes, "How about we play I Spy? Dan, what do you spy?"
Dan staring directly at Vlad, "A little bitch."
Danny wants to guess so bad, but can't say it in front of his parents. But he's dying from Dan's comment.
But Flynn the newbie to the situation and to this 'game' goes, "Vlad?"
Flynn has seen where Dan has been looking this whole time and just, genuinely thinks this is how the game is played. Socially oblivious Flynn Walker.
Dan turns to Flynn and goes, "Yes, you're right."
Maddie smiles but schools it quickly. Jack, is also a bit amused. But together Maddie and Jack start to scold their 24-year-old murderous ghost son. All while Ellie is giggling, Jazz is trying to hide her smile behind her book and Flynn is smiling. Aunt Alica is greatly amused, but has a resting bitch face so only Flynn and Maddie can tell that.
Through breathless laughs, Danny says, "You got it right Flynn so it's your go."
And Flynn now very confident with this incorrect idea of how this game works, stares down Jazz and goes, "I spy a nerd."
"Jazz!" says Ellie joining in. She also has a very confident and incorrect idea of how the game is played.
“Yes,” says Flynn.
Everyone gives a little chuckle and Jazz goes, "Ok your go Ellie,"
Ellie turns and stares Danny down, "I spy a prototype"
Seeing his chance to make a snide comment at Danny, Vlad goes, with fake innocence, "Is it, Daniel?"
Ellie confirms it is.
Then Vlad goes, "I spy utter perfection," as he looks at Maddie.
At the same time, three people speak,
"ME!" says Jack.
While simultaneously Ellie and Flynn go, "That's not how the game is played!"
Then Danny and Dan go, "Yeah Vlad that's not how you play the game," like the little shits they are.
Jack then goes, "Does this mean I'm not perfection?"
"Yes," says Vlad quietly.
Nobody liked that, but only the halfa's the ghost, and Flynn heard it.
At this point, they start all arguing about the rules of the game and the whole thing is completely unsalvageable.
Then Jack teaches Ellie the 'bottles of beer on the wall' song. There is much regret and torment in the RV after that.
Jazz takes this as an opportunity to teach Ellie the numbers over 20 that she doesn't know.
Dan immediately says that he'll fly and meet them there.
Maddie turns on the ghost shield and gives Dan a deep stare which shows she knows the horrors of this song, "If I suffer, so will you."
Aunt Alica is just enjoying the shit show and vibing. She lives off the grid where she has to entertain herself with her fellow rednecks. Incessant drunken singing is practically her every Saturday night.
Flynn is just disassociating.
Vlad hates this.
Danny joins in with the song, this was his whole jam when he was the youngest. He's having a great time.
Danny loves how it's tormenting Vlad and purposefully messes up the song, in the single digits.
"Damn it Danny you messed it up! Now I have to start over again," says Ellie.
"Oh no it's okay I remember where we're up to-" starts Jazz.
"No Jazz she has to start over it's the law," says Danny before then turning to Vlad with the biggest shit eating grin.
Maddie and Dan continue to die. However, Vlad is dying more. Not even Jack killed him this much.
We also get a beach episode, because why not.
Flynn and Ellie would be so weirded out by the ocean.
Aunt Alica, goes, well I haven't been to the beach in a while and proceeds to show everyone how buff she is. The only people who can compete with her is Dan and Jack.
Vlad's skinny arse is also outclassed by Maddie too.
Jazz would be insisting that everyone be sun safe.
Dan comes out from the change room in a sun shirt and board shorts.
"Jazz, why am I wearing this?" Dan gestures to the sun shirt.
"So you don’t get sunburnt of course," responds Jazz.
Dan looks Jazz dead in the eyes, "Jazz, I'm literally dead."
For the sleeping arrangements, everyone's in tents. The kids get split up into 'boys' and 'girls'.
Vlad brings his own luxury tent and invites Maddie to stay with him, but Aunt Alica declares that she wants to bunk with her sister. So Vlad ends up with Jack, the loud snorer. And he can't murder Jack in his sleep because everyone (at least the kids) would know it was him.
I also have art to go with this. Link.

are you satisfied?
word count: 2195
going angst week 2021 day three friends/family
Jazz had a plan.
It wasn’t a simple plan, no, she’d have to put in years of hard work. Becoming a world-renowned psychologist wasn’t an easy feat. But she knew where she was going and that’s what mattered. As long as she had her goal, she could create the life she wanted for herself. She could break away from the stigma of being a Fenton, she could finally put her ghost-hunting parents behind her. She couldn’t achieve anything in Amity Park, not with her family holding her back.
At least, that’s what she thought. Now she wasn’t so sure.
When she was sixteen, all she could talk about was college. She dreamt and fantasized about old universities, winding pathways cutting through campus. Autumn breeze blowing through her hair and the comfort of small coffee shops. Spending nights in the library, her bag sagging from the weight from all the books she hand-picked.
No more ectoweenies assailing her from the fridge. No more pitiful stares as she sat in the back of the school auditorium, Mom and Dad presenting another ghost awareness seminar. No more inventions exploding at the kitchen table, turning her homework to ash.
Her parents were supportive of her academic endeavors. They thought it was admirable that she sought to accomplish something with her life, to find her place in the world. Of course, Mom put a cap on how many colleges she was allowed to apply to—application fees did add up. She spent most of junior year researching, browsing college websites and calculating where she’d rack up the most financial aid. She’d have to get an academic merit scholarship since her inventor parents made too much to even qualify for federal aid. Not impossible. She could do it.
It was around then the ghosts started coming through the portal, and Jazz felt more than ever that she needed to leave. Sure it was selfish, but she needed to get out as fast as she could.
Jazz wasn’t going to die in Amity Park.
(Not like Danny.)
Much faster than she anticipated, senior year passed. Have it be her luck that the furthest school on her list gave her the most generous financial aid.
Mom cried when she opened the financial aid letter, beside her Dad beamed ear to ear. Danny hovered at the foot of the stairs, an unreadable look on his face. It was official now. She was leaving. Years of hard work were finally coming to fruition, and she should feel elated!
Instead, she felt hollow.
This was happening.
In less than six months she’d be sitting in a lecture, matriculated and eager to learn. Her room would be barren, posters and trinkets packed into the back of the Ghost Assault Vehicle—only because it had tricefold storage capacity as Mom’s station wagon.
“Aren’t you excited?” a neighbor asked one morning at the mailbox. “Boston is really far!”
“Home is one phone call away,” she forced a smile. “Besides, I have a cousin in Massachusetts.”
“Have you actually visited Boston, though?”
She bristled. “Well, with the ghost attacks lately Mom and Dad haven’t had time to take road trips. Can’t leave the town unattended.”
“Bull! There’s still Phantom here.” The neighbor froze. “Not that your parents don’t contribute to the town’s protection.”
Jazz nodded. “I know. It’ll be… refreshing to get away from the constant barrage of attacks, at least.”
The neighbor frowned. “You’re coming back after school, right? This town needs more bright young people like you.”
She shrugged. “I’ll see what happens.”
Graduation came and went. There was an article in the newspaper about her scholarship, which sparked a brief hour of fame. No wonder Danny was fed up with Phantom’s non-stop publicity; she couldn’t imagine dealing with that each week. Mom hung the article on the fridge, “Casper High Salutatorian Scores Full-Ride Scholarship.” Jazz developed a poor habit of eating out that summer, too abashed to admit that seeing her own senior photo on the fridge made her stomach ache.
The worst part about the summer was that Danny spent so little time in the house, always out at a friend’s house or exploring the infinite realms of the Ghost Zone. Not that she could hold that against him, she wasn’t too fond of FentonWorks either. She had a sneaking suspicion that he was avoiding her on purpose though, avoiding the fact that she was leaving at all.
She was no better.
She was getting everything she wanted! She’d worked on maintaining her 4.5 GPA for years! She took Algebra II in the eighth grade and finished high school with Advanced Calculus. She began her college thesis in the tenth grade and submitted it as one of her college application essays. She spent weeks racking up community service hours, volunteering to serve the homeless and later helped with ghost invasion clean-up efforts. She counseled her peers out of the goodness of her heart, won the Most Likely to Succeed superlative, and pitched a new state-wide mental health program under review by the Illinois Board of Education. She was top of her class, second only to valedictorian Samuel Ng who had more AP credits than his father had yachts.
Not to mention Jazz’s killer resume.
As much as she should be elated, she couldn’t force herself to feel anything but dread. She’d hung on to the idea that she needed to escape Amity Park so long, she hadn’t realized what she’d be leaving behind.
She didn’t want to leave, but she didn’t want to stay in a town where she had no future. After all, no one with a pulse had a future here.
(So? Are you really going to leave your half-ghost brother with your ghost-hunting parents? Knowing full well what could happen if they learned the truth.)
That isn’t my problem.
(He’s your family.)
I should trust Mom and Dad.
(You don’t, though. He doesn’t either.)
What choice do I have!
Danny found her at her desk that night, tear stains streaked down her face. She must have fallen asleep at some point because there was a crick in her neck.
“Jazz.” He softly shook her shoulder. “Jazz, it’s four in the morning.”
“Huh.”
“You fell asleep at your desk, lights on and all. You good?”
“Mmhm.” She stretched her arms, and there was a soreness from where they’d been supporting her head.
Danny didn’t look convinced. “You were crying.”
“No, I wasn’t.”
“Explain your face.”
She scoffed. “There’s nothing up with my face.”
“Except that you were crying before you fell asleep. Not even in your bed. Usually, you’re the composed one in this house so you wanna explain what’s up?”
She shook her head. “Don’t worry about it, Danny. Everything’s just sinking in all at once. I’m processing it normally. It’s healthy to cry about changes in your life sometimes.”
“But sometimes it’s also healthy to talk about it, or so I’ve been told by an invasive older sister of mine.” His expression softened. “You haven’t been yourself lately, Jazz.”
“Like you’d know!” she snapped. “I can’t even remember the last time I’ve seen you here in the house. I’m going away and you’re doing your own thing—and that’s fine !”
“Jazz, if you wanted to hang out with me you just had to say the words. Being Phantom just keeps me occupied.”
“That’s not—” he pressed a hand to her head. “Thanks for offering, I appreciate it.”
He frowned. “It’s not what?”
“Nothing.”
“No, it’s something.” He released his hold on gravity and sat cross-legged midair. “Let me be your therapist tonight, Jazz.”
“I’m fine! Danny, we both need to go to bed.”
“Is it… do you feel like you’re going to miss home? Whenever you move?”
Well, it looked like he’d coerced her. Talking about it was probably a good thing, but she didn’t want to make him feel bad about it either. She worried about him, and she didn’t want to burden him with her problems.
“I doubt I’ll miss this place. Most of my memories in this house aren’t fond ones to begin with. Mom and Dad I’ll miss some, but I’m itching to get away from them and their baggage. It’s not like I’ll have close friends to miss either—not like your friends.” She looked up to the faded popcorn ceiling. “I can’t stand the idea of not being here for you. I feel like I’m abandoning you, and I think that’s how you feel.”
He was silent.
“Like, I know what you must think of me. Why do I have to be such a selfish overachiever, all the fucking time? You’re just trying to survive this nightmare household, and the one person that knows your secret and all the shit you go through, leaves you to the wolves?” She hiccupped. “I feel bad for not choosing a community college, like everyone else in my class. I feel bad for dreaming big.”
“Jazz, no—”
“Let me finish. I could have stayed home and gone to APCC for two years to get my associate’s degree. Then, once you’ve graduated high school I could transfer to any college I want for my bachelor’s degree. But instead, I decided that I couldn’t wait two years—I had to be the best and brightest! The golden child of Casper High School. I have to go to a big-name university right out of high school, lest I do anything else I’m a disappointment! I’m so full of shit, Danny. So full of shit…”
“Jazz,” he assured, “you don’t need to feel guilty about following your dreams. It’s not selfish. You’ve had this planned out for years.”
“But it’s not fair to you! I’m the only one who knows… what if they hurt you? I see it in their eyes when they talk about Phantom. If they catch you, they will not hold back. You will be strapped to a table and they’ll—they’ll—” she broke down into a fit of sobs. “It’ll be all my fault.”
“I will be fine here. I know how to handle Mom and Dad.” He pressed his hand into her palm. It was cool, but comforting. “You work harder than anyone else I know. If anyone deserves that scholarship, it’s you.”
She shook her head. “I’m selfish. I don’t.”
“Tell me, how have you been selfish? How are you any more selfish than me or Mom or Dad?”
“I’m putting my wants before your safety!”
“I’m not your responsibility!”
“You’re my little brother!”
“Just because we share the same parents doesn’t mean that you should be willing to not live your life for me.” His eyes flashed green. “Going to school is all you’ve ever wanted and I’m not going to let you throw it away because I was stupid enough to turn on that portal!”
“That’s not what this is about.”
“Isn’t it? I’m never going to be able to leave Amity Park because I’m dead! My obsession is bound to this town. If I’m fighting ghosts, I’ll be in danger regardless of whether or not I live in this house. So don’t you dare feel like you have to spend the rest of your life here.”
He… he made a good point.
Danny was going to be in danger no matter where she lived. She couldn’t protect him for the rest of her life, either. She shouldn’t feel bad about not throwing away her dreams for her brother, even if it felt like it was the right thing to do.
It wasn’t selfish because Danny wasn’t her reason for living.
She had her own reasons to live life, her own ambitions.
“I… I guess so,” she whispered. “That makes it a bit better.”
He planted his feet on the ground once again and gave her a side-hug. “Good. Now, what do you say you sleep on it? It is pretty late.”
She narrowed her eyes. “And are you going to bed?”
“Eh, don’t count on it.”
“Danny!”
“What? Ghost hunting keeps me on a bad sleep schedule. I really only sleep during the afternoons now.”
“That’s awful.”
“You bet! Now,” he switched her bedroom light off, “sleep well, Jazz.”
Jazz was doing well in her sophomore year of college. Admittedly, she had a few rough patches during her freshman year, earning her first D in her life. Eventually, she learned how to maintain good study habits and might have accidentally stumbled headfirst into a caffeine addiction, but it was good! She was on track to graduate with the rest of her class!
She called home less than she did freshman year. Her parents seemed eager to give her space, if not to work more on their experiments. That was fine with her.
That was why it was so alarming when she received a single text from her mother one night, the week before finals. It had to be past midnight back home, another red flag.
mom
jazz, we need to talk
asap
call me
Concerned, she unlocked her phone.
Sam and Tucker had called ten times each in the past four hours.
Heart racing, she dialed her mother’s phone number with a sinking suspicion of what tragic news awaited her.

Random Scenarios
May include pairings from this, self inserts or random, parental/sibling relationships between characters(not the sexual kind, bloody sickos), fluff, angst or shenanigans. Anyone can write these in any type of form or with any character.
Tony altering doorways, furniture, and etc to suit Corazon's ridiculous height. (The dude is 9' 7 1/2 in height.)
Eddie, and Venom being introduced to their s/o's Rapidash, Venom's amazed about touching fire that doesn't hurt.
Katakuri comforting a kid!Giorno after a horrible nightmare related to his parents.
Daxter ends up getting third wheel when Jak and Jolyne start talking about their awful prison experiences.
Kid!Josuke follows Macaque around asking to be taught how to fight.
Balan is concerned about Ichigo's questionable relationship between his friends, family and Soul Society's nature.
Luffy and MK go on a pranking spree much to everyone's distaste/misfortune
Kid! Ben realizes how much Haven City and some of Jak's associates suck. Plans to overthrow everyone else's plans for Jak and Daxter's sake.
Venom and Eddie end up crashing (literally) the Phantom Thieves road trip. Somehow ends up adopting a gaggle of super powered teens and hits on the cop following said group. Local cop questions his preferences in partners.
Sanji and Pigsy team up for a cooking contest. Zoro becomes a reluctant judge for said contest.
Terrorist group realizes their folly for kidnapping Tony Stark, Macaque wants his smartass 'Merchant of Death' back.
Sojiro somehow ends up adopting a gaggle of kids/teenagers with superpowers or aren't human. Ren ends up with Spyro, Sora, Yuuji, Giorno, Jak, Daxter, and Danny as siblings.
Balan teaches Ulquiorra about kindness. Goes better than expected.
Yusei wonders how he end up having a 10 ft eldritch entity of negativity attached to him. Lance is a possessive tsundere that refuses to leave local duelist alone.
Kid!Sanji befriends a Elecmon as a kid. Said Elecmon returns years later as a BanchoLeomon which proceeds to curbstomp Judge and the rest of Sanji's shitty family members.
Bayonetta encounters Kid! Rin. Son of Satan gets badass witch mother and tons of unconditional love.
Post-JTTW! Sun Wukong indulges in an urge to kidnap a lost stranger from nearby modern city. Said stranger being a Digimon Tamer who thinks kidnapper is a Digimon and not a godly entity.
Skylander Wallop adopts a Kid!MK. Everyone wonders why local delivery boy carries a crystal hammer on his back at all times.
Teen!Mei finds herself a sibling in the form of a confused Kid! Yuya.
Ichigo accidentally becomes a Portal Master instead of a Soul Reaper. His room ends up being filled with talking figurines that can come to life.
Phantom Thieves and their Personas explore Wonderworld. Balan happily watches as Costume, Tim, Persona and Human have fun positive interactions with each other.
Crazy Diamond restores Macaque's blind eye and vision. Shadow monkey cries while hugging his human son and Stand responsible.
Enjoy.

Hey, still existing here, thanks again for that, but I was just curious about when Mortified actually diverges from the canon material? Obviously in season 3, but I can't pin down where, lol
Everything but Phantom Planet happened, basically, but within two years.
Here, let me show you the timeline I use.  (Includes some references to Grandfather Clocks.  Copied straight from my writing notes.)
Year 1
 August
•        Danny becomes a ghost at the beginning of the month, right after his birthday, which is in July.
•        Mystery Meat at the end of the month. (Casper High is one of those schools that starts in August because they hate Summer)
 September
•        'Brother's Keeper' runs throughout the month, and into October
•        Parental Bonding (Get to know each other dance)
•        One of a Kind (Danny's grades aren't that much of a problem at this point of the school year, but he's worried because of his family and being compared to Jazz)
•        Garage Sale
•        Splitting Images
•        Bitter Reunions
 October
•        Prisoners of Love
•        Brother's Keeper comes to a head during homecoming week
•        Shades of Gray (happens because Danny is still working out how to use his powers)
•        Fanning the Flames (But Ember had been 'touring' for several months)
•        Teacher of the Year
•        Fright Knight (lead up to Halloween)
•        Lots of tests in this month.  Guess that makes sense, a lot of schools end their first quarter or semester in October/November.
 November
•        13
•        Public Enemies
•        Life Lessons
•        What You Want (The carnival is a Holiday Bazaar, would make sense for people to get sick at this time of year)
 December
•        Maternal Instincts
•        Million Dollar Ghost
•        Everything here has human or half-human enemies, because the (sapient!) ghosts are doing the Christmas truce.  Danny winds up too stressed to notice because of the ghost hunters and Vlad's shenanigans.
 January
•        Control Freaks (school has started again)
•        Doctor's Disorders
 February
•        Pirate Radio
 March
•        Reign Storm
•        Fenton Menace (during spring break, so they can take that road trip)
•        Identity Crisis (has to happen before TUE, because Danny wouldn't risk it otherwise)
 April
•        The Ultimate Enemy (some schools do state testing around this time)
•        Secret Weapons
•        Micro-Management
 May
•        (school starts wrapping up, doing fun end-of-year stuff like contests and field trips)
•        Beauty Marked
•        King Tuck
•        Memory Blank (movies would start coming out around now, right?)
June
•        School is over, so shenanigans can start.  Maybe Casper High has Summer programs?  Danny would need them.  Would explain school scenes.
•        Lucky in Love (time of year is okay for a water park)
•        Flirting With Disaster (fair makes sense)
•        Kindred Spirits
•        Reality Trip is happening at the same time and continues all month.  Reality Trip's timeline gets erased with the Reality Gauntlet.  The trio's road trip was an imaginary fantasy road trip that they knew they wouldn't be allowed to go on.
 July
•        Infinite Realms
•        Girls' Night Out (end of Summer fishing trip)
•        Eye for an Eye. Continues until midway through November (since that's when elections are- unless Amity Park does things differently).
 Year 2
 August
•        First Deathday (see Grandfather Clocks)
•        Forever Phantom
 September
•        Double-Cross My Heart (exchange student would make sense)
 October
•        Living Large? (I'd like to pretend this one didn't exist, to be honest)
•        The wisps that live in Amity come around this time (see ectober fics).
 November
•        Eye for an Eye ends with election
•        Torrent of Terror (drought would be very concerning if it had been going on since the Summer)
•        Urban Jungle (construction/repairs after all of Vortex's storms)
 December
•        Fright Before Christmas  (part of the reason he's so stressed is because he doesn't know where Dani is, and he feels bad leaving her alone on her first Christmas)
 January
•        Boxed Up Fury
 February
•        Frightmare
 March
•        Claw of the Wild (during spring break)
 April
 May
 June
•        D-Stabilized (might be earlier, in the spring)
July
  Year 3
•        Mortified starts somewhere in here, not sure where.

Blog Updates: New Patreon Stretch Goals, Patreon Exclusive Reviews, New Story Arcs and Other Stuff
MHello everyone. For those of you seeing this through other tags my name is Jake. I do reviews on here that are usually full sumaries of an episode of a tv show or comic, with jokes and analsyis throughout. I’m doing this post as i’ve recently revamped by patreon a bit, check out VIA THIS LINK if your curious. I also have some other stuff going on with the blog that I thought might intrest the general public and especially you lovely followers. Thank you guys so much. Your support means a lot and feel free to interact with this post and any of the reviews. it’s always a pleasure. Leave your comments whatever. So let’s start with the patreon stuff
You Decide the Next Patreon Exclusive Review!:
Yes YOU will decide the Patreon Exclusive review for May. How? It’s simple: i’m currently reviewing the Lilo and Stitch crossover episodes, the first two this week with the American Dragon Jake Long crossover “Morpholomew” done yesterday, the Proud Family episode “Spats” coming later this week, and “Rufus” (Kim Possible) and “Lax” (Recess) coming next week and the week after that respectively.
As a way to gage intrest in the shows crossed over, and if I should review some of them on their own, i’m going to be watching the notes, and after the first week i’ll record how many a review got. This way the first review dosen’t get an advantage over the last and so on. Whichever episode gets the most votes wins and it’s show will get two reviews: One exclusive to Patreon in may you can check out for just a buck, and one for all of ya in June. So if you want to dragon up, get louder and prouder, check out what the sitch is, or have some recess, keep an eye on my blog and check out the review. Like it reblog, it, both. This is all in your hands. And if this little contest works out I may do another one like it in the future.
New Patreon Stretch Goals!:
For those unfamiliar with Patreon it’s a site that helps creators like me get paid for their work, used by such luminaries as Linkara, Pushing Up Roses and greatest of all Rifftrax.
Stretch Goals are an amount of money I get a month from patreons, that’s readers like you paying me. Even a buck a month would help a lot and help me put out a reviews and LIVE off doing this. But it’s a two way street so in order to entice you lovely people into paying me for doing my job and my passion with these reviews, i’ve updated the tiers, adding a wider and better range of rewards. I’m currenntly up to 15 dollars a month, or close enough that i’ve acitivated those rewards. And if you help me hit these tiers EVEYRONE gets PUBLIC, on here, for free reviews. Thanks to my lovely patreons Emma and Kevin you all are getting reviews of the first 5 Ducktales episode, aka Legend of the Golden Suns, with the second coming as soon as I finish this post. Even a buck helps us reach closer and for your dollar you get access to the discord, exclusive reviews, and to pick a short any time I review a bunch of shorts. And with Goofy’s birthday coming up next montha nd Donald’s after that, now is the best time for that. 5 dollar patreons also get one review as month, with 10 dollar ones getting two. You’ve already probably seen some of these: Kev has used one of his a month to have me review a house of mouse episode every month, and newest patreon and longtime friend Emma is using them to have me review the netflix dr. seuss adaptation “Green Eggs and Ham”. So whatever YOU want me to review I will and you’l lhelp unlock even MORE great reviews. So what do you get if you hit the goals? I’m glad you asked.
We’re up to 15 so next is...
20 Dollar Tier:  Ducktales 87 Season 2 Mini Series!: Yes indeedy. Already on the Docket was the Super Ducktales Arc, which introducices the OG GIZMODUCCCKKKKK. But since that apparenlty wasn’t enough i’ve also added the OTHER mini series. While i’ll do super first since that’s the one with higher fan intrest once tha’ts done i’ll also review Time is Money, the time travel arc bringing in everyone’s faviroite scrappy Bubba. So if you want a buncha cruncha retro Ducktales pony up. But that’s not all the disney afternoon I got for this tier.
A Darkwing Duck Episode A MOnth: This one has also been promoted every time I could and still stands. If you like that mind behind the shadow disguise, that daring duck of mystery, that champion of right, then you’ll get one review a month about him, as voted on by you patreons.
Danny Phantom: The Ultimate Enemy: And since neither of these have helped me so far and stepping back into Amity Park made me realize how much I love the series, even if it’s creator is a 80 tons of smug asshole packed into a t-shirt he thinks is cooler than it is. So it only felt right to add  the ghost boy to the tier and the best way to kick that off is with it’s second best, and only barely second behind Reign Storm, episode: The Ultimate Enemy! Danny finds his future is imperfect and must battle his own evil self! If you want my thoughts on one of the series finest hours, then help me hit 20 bucks a month to keep making content.
25 Dollar Tier:
I removed the Tail Spin content, though rest assured I will be covering Plunder and Lightning sometime this year. But what I replaced it with is even better.
One Danny Phantom Review a Month: YOu like teen superheros? you like ghosts? you like me slagigng off about butch hartman and trying to make it crystal clear his creation dosen’t wholly belong to him? Then you’ll like me reviewing Danny Phantom. And while i’m already doing that, this goal gaurantees one episode a month, and said episode will be voted on by my patreons. So if you pay for this you’ll not only get your monthly dose of going ghost.. but you’ll get a chance to PICK what it is.
Disney Shows To Movies Trilogy : I’ve decided to make it a tradition for my 15 dollar stretch goals to do a bunch of disney movies. And like with my last batch, which you’ll be seeing in may, i’m doing tv shows that got their own movies, theatrical or otherwise. And this time we’re doing MY generatoin: Kim Possible: So The Drama, the best story in the show’s histroy and the best movie in the Disney Channels! Recess: Schools Out! The suprisingly bonkers unsurprisingly awesome finale to an awesome show! and The Proud Family Movie, another UTTERLY BATSHIT finish to a great show.  Lost at Sea and Seconds: This one’s for my scottaholics, fourth part of my Scott Pilgrim retrospective coming this week!. If you like me taking a look at Scott’s quest to punch the fuck out of his girlfriends exes while growing up a little, then if you help me get to the 30 dollar tier, i’ll also take a look at O’Malley’s other graphic novels Lost at Sea, which follows a girl who lost her soul and her boyfriend on a trip with what may be Young Neil’s older sister, and Seconds, the story of a woman with issues growing up who finds the ablitlity to travel through time.. or is it space? And some of you savvier readers my know he has nother comic. Where’s that one? wellllll
30 Dollar Tier:
Snotgirl: I’m saving this one for this tier. Reviews of each collected volume of snotgirl, Bryan’s first ongoing series, all three so far and any more to come about, unsuprisingly, a  hot mess of a person, this time who might’ve done a murder. You know instead of defintely did a murder but in self defnese and with a longsword.
Gravity Falls Season 1!: One of Disney’s finest finally on this blog. All season 1 episodes reviewed in some way in some shape in some form.  Star Vs Finale Arc!: You’ve heard me bitch about the problems in Tom’s story, and wil lcontinue to. Now see the terrible way everyone elses ends! From an amazing build up to an awful finish, see reviews of Every story relevant season 4 episode from Butterfly Follies to Cleaved that won’t already be covered in my tom retrospective. It’s a road to crushing disapointment, come on inside!
35 Dollar Tier:  More Disney TV Adaptations!: Doug’s First Movie! See Doug get really fucking weird in his sea monster based movie with a punch line of a name! Teachers Pet, a great movie out of a show I barely saw! Kim Possible Live action! it’s suprisingly okay! and Recess Taking the Fifth: a compliation movie for a season we sadly never got.
Gravity Falls Season 2: Buillding on the first reward Gravity Falls Reviews will go beyond the first season and finish the job. From zombies, to dipcifica, to ford to weirdmageddon, I’m doin it all.
40 Dollar Tier:
Two HUGE Disney Focused Comics Retrospectives!
Darkwing Duck: In addition to the show, i’ll start reviewing the awesome follow up comic that got me into it. From the start to both finishes: the unathorized crossover finale and the sadly short lived sequel series from joe books, the worst mistake disney ever made that wasn’t racist, before Artemis Fowl said hold my beer. Also the short lived Ducktlaes series because why not.
The Incredibles!: The Family Dynamic! A comprehensive retrospective featuring reviews of the movie, the Mark Waid followup, the sequel that ignores said followup and the incomparable Christos Gage’s followup to THAT movie. Also that wonderfuly awful failed tv pilot bob made that he and lucius did a mst3k of.
45 Dollar Tier:
Disney Flims Lilo and Stitch a Thon: All four lilo and stitch movies, Lilo and Stitch, Lilo and Sitch 2, Stitch and Leroy and Stitch! All the hawaii, aliens and sequels you can handle!
Amphibia Season 1: I’ve done Season 2 as it comes out, i’ll be doing the same for season 3, so help me get here to see the start at least once a month, but two at a time!
50 Dollar Tier: The last one for now. I’ll probably go to 10 dollar tiers after this.
The Owl House Season 1: While I wait for the second season to start so I can cover it, have me do the rest of season 1! The only exceptions are the already covered Enchanted Grom Fright and the earmarked for pride month wing it like witches!
The Two Loves and 87 Mistakes of Mordecai: A regular show romancetrospective, as we go through the downs, ups, higher ups and crushing lows of Modercai’s romantic arcs from regular show. His crush on margert, making his move, moving on, moving on to cj, and then the horrible cluster fuck I’ve talked about nonstop and will again and again as one of the worst romantic arcs in memory as they shot the relationship in the foot head and groin! Force me to relive it all!
So yeah I’ll add more tiers, again probably 10 dollars apart if I get to 50, but given I barely got to 15 i’m not optimistic. PROVE ME WRONG. HELP ME HIT 50.
Other Stuff:
Finally outisde of Patreon, that was the main reason for this, I have news on my various arcs. For one thing i’ll be trying to keep the pace better, so expect at least one entry a month for ones i’m doing on my own time like the tom retrospective, life and times and Scott pilgrims. Ones kev does will be done weekly to keep my wallet afloat.
I also have two more retrospectives incoming! The first is paid for by Kev: I’l lbe tackling ALL THREE SEASON 2 ARCS OF DUCKTALES 2017. After the headache of trying to cram the della arc into three weeks to keep up with the lena one, I decided i’td be better for pacing if I did all three at once and kev agreed to it, if using his patreon reviews to cushion the blows. So starting next month i’ll be covering the Louie, Della and Glomgold/Owlson arcs, swapping between them in episode order. With that I should be FAR closer to having covered every ducktales episode. Granted i’ll still have 17 to cover, but it’ll make that much more managable.
The second comes in June specifically timed for Pride Month. With Scott Pilgrim Wrapping up in August just in time for the movie’s anniversary, I decided to start covering another one of my faviorite comics of all time. It’s time to transform, roll out and make this precoius it’s Transformers More than Meets the Eye! For those of you unfamiliar it’s an idw comic that follows a rag tag group of transformers, about half of them gay or gay coded, on a mission to find the lost knights of cybertron and bring ballance to a post war cybertron.. which quickly devloves into hyjinnks with a side order of heartrending deaths and charcter development... and references to dexy’s midnight runners.
So that’s all for now. thank you for reading, please support my patreon as the next pay term is at the start of next month, so if you want me to start on any of those stretch goals, nows the time. Please help me earn a living and until all are one, i’ll see you at the next rainbow.

Prompt or musing for TAZ:A x DP crossover?
I went with a musing, Anon, but feel free to drop me a three sentence fic prompt if you like. For this crossover, I’d go one of two ways: Danny or Dani.
Dani’s already off exploring on her own. It’s perfectly feasible she’d stop in at Amnesty Lodge at one point, with or without hearing anything coming out of the supposedly sleepy town of Kepler, and somehow find herself in the middle of things with people who are fast becoming like family to her. (I love the found family trope with Dani, okay? She needs it.) No one judges her for who she is now, and they’re not trying to pry into her past by asking a billion questions about her parents, and she doesn’t have to hide her ghost half from them, because they’re all like she is. Kinda. She might not be from Sylvain (she’s heard them talking and doesn’t think it’s part of the Ghost Zone, getting there through a portal or no, though she might be wrong as she certainly hasn’t explored every place within the Ghost Zone), but the questionable stability of her molecular structure means she can relate to their problems more than they know.
For Danny, well, Fenton family road trip to Kepler, of course. There have been stories coming out of that area for ages, and it’s ramped up recently. The kids are old enough that they can handle themselves in the field, even if they hate ghost hunting, so it’ll be all right to bring them along. Besides, they might be more eager to actually do ghost hunting with their parents if they aren’t in Amity Park, too.
With the Fentons being on (a working) vacation, they rent rooms in Amnesty Lodge. It’s, uh, no secret what the Fentons are, which makes some residents uncomfortable, but they keep their disguises on and steer clear of the ghost hunters, which is incredibly easy because of how loud Jack is. They’re used to keeping an extra guard up around the FBI; these new guests aren’t terribly different. In both cases, they can’t afford to be found out.
(Said FBI agents aren’t impressed that stories are spreading enough that some amateur investigators are showing up, since that’s what they figure the Fentons are--though one of them may or may not know someone in the Guys in White and suggests that, if the Fentons really are experts in their field and someone’s playing ghost to murder other people, well, maybe it wouldn’t be completely unethical to let them find out what they can find out...and then go in and do a proper investigation before they mess anything up.)
Danny’s trying to come to terms with the fact that his ghost sense went off the moment they got near this place, meaning his parents were right about there actually being ghosts here. He’s on his guard because of that, knowing he has to find said ghost(s) as soon as possible, because if they’re friendly, he and Jazz need to convince them to leave town for a bit or figure out how to sabotage all the Fenton equipment without their parents realizing that’s what they’re up to and that any sabotage actually happened.
Jack and Maddie go off into town to investigate leads at the earliest opportunity, the kids pleading the excuse of settling in to stay behind, but when they hear about the Cryptonomica, they must all go. There’s no hope of arguing. Danny and Jazz get dragged along even though Danny would rather try to find the ghosts before his parents do. It’s clear enough to Danny and Jazz that the Cryptonomica is a giant tourist trap, but....
There’s an edge of truth in some of it that Danny finds distinctly unsettling.
For instance, there’s a stuffed yeti that looks like the ghosts of the Far Frozen, and with the Ghost Zone being a mirror of the Real World, being connected....
Things start to spiral out of Danny’s control fairly quickly after that. His parents are trying to show them how to do some actual investigating to track down ghosts in case equipment fails, which involves questioning essentially everyone who will talk to them, and it becomes very clear very fast that weird near death brushes and attacks and murder are a current thing, not a happened at some point in the last fifty years thing, which makes it harder to convince their parents that it’s perfectly okay for the two of them to go off alone. They manage it, mostly thanks to the fact that Jack and Maddie trust Jazz’s judgement.
Naturally, Danny and Jazz aren’t acting like normal children, and Ned heard every word they were whispering to each other in the Cryptonomica, which immediately put them on the radar of the Pine Guard. (And, let’s face it, if Momma’s around, she pegs Danny very quickly.) A quick side investigation into the Fenton family is done to assess how much of a threat they are, and they connection between Danny Fenton and Danny Phantom is made almost before he shows up--but, really, Phantom making an appearance just clinched it.
A botched investigation attempt on Danny and Jazz’s part ends with them realizing this place isn’t just haunted, that there are more than just ghosts lurking here, and if Danny hadn’t been able to turn the two of them intangible, they would probably both be ghosts. They get rescued and confronted, and contrary to how I usually draw out confrontations with ample misconceptions, there would be frank conversations. Danny and Jazz are kids, and the others are adults. If the kids are not going to sit this out as they should, they at least need to know enough about what’s going on to not get themselves killed--and, frankly, working together might prevent all of them getting killed, as that remains a very distinct possibility.
Jazz ultimately gets benched for her safety, which means it’s her job to find ways to distract her parents and the FBI and cover for Danny. Danny gets to help because, well, he was the reason he and Jazz survived their first encounter, and he can do things the rest of them can’t. He doesn’t meet the Mothman, but he can’t help but think of Clockwork when he hears stories. And the archway in the woods, well.... He’s got some experience with portals. Not good experience, and not necessarily useful experience, but maybe it wasn’t a total fluke that his parents picked this haunted town for their hunting trip.

College Blues - Chapter 2
Here it is. Grammar checked 4 times but probably still hiding some errors <3 This chapter turned out longer than the first, so I’m glad.
Themes: Tired Student Vibes - Uni is hard ok? - Angst - Family
Synopsis: With only 3 months left of their first year attending University, Danny and Sam decided to take a trip back down to Amity Park to visit family for a week to take the edge off. It soon becomes clear that visiting home was something Danny desperately needed.
Word Count: 1482
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
06:00 << Guess who brought a load of snacks for the trip 🍫🍿 >>
06:15 << Remember the train leaves at eight >>
06:30 << U alive? And if u reply with no I swear… 😂 >>
07:30 << Danny? >>
Sam sat there, thinking of what to type next. She didn’t like to pester but considering Danny hadn’t even looked at his phone for this long, giving him another poke seemed more than reasonable. Sam knew how assertive she could be towards both Danny and Tucker at times. It was normal for both of them to leave things until the last minute. But after checking in with Tucker to see if he’d received any replies, Sam was half-tempted to head round to Danny’s dorm and spam the buzzer until he responded. No, that’s too far. They weren’t kids anymore. She should’ve tried to call him instead. Why didn’t she think to do that earlier? Ping. A new message.
07:35 << Sorry, yeah dw im on my way >>
Typical, she thought. It was a little rude that Danny didn’t even think to give a reply sooner than 25 minutes before their train was due to arrive. At the thought of this, Sam began jabbing at her phone, crafting he perfect response to convey her annoyance. What happened next caught her completely off guard. It was silent, but the action of Danny swiftly phasing through the wall behind her was enough to cause Sam to jump up from the bench.
“Shit Danny, do you even use doors anymore?”
“Sorry I was… I was in a bit of a rush. Didn’t have time to, you know, take the long way here.”
Furrowing her brows, Sam opened her mouth, ready to lecture Danny that if he had only gotten up earlier then he wouldn’t need to rush. But she paused, taking in her friend’s face. Danny looked… awful. His normally brightly lit blue eyes were dull with fatigue. It was almost as if he had just rolled out of bed. Considering the chances of a late-night ghost encounter, she chose to let it slide.
“You look...” She begun.
“-Like crap? Yeah I know.” He’d moved to slide off his backpack and sit down on the bench. “Was it a ghost? You could’ve woken me up you know. I don’t mind.” He shook his head, slumping forwards to rest his elbows on his knees. “No, just got distracted with other things.” Probably playing the new video game that he and Tucker had been raving about for the past week, Sam had figured. Now that Danny had eventually turned up, they had around 20 minutes to spare. After grabbing some coffees from the platform over, they returned to the bench and continued conversation. As they spoke, Sam continued to take in the state of her friend. His hair was slightly unkempt, and she was surprised to see that he had only brought a small singular backpack along. Though this made sense due to how much time he had given himself to pack. “I really am sorry by the way, I completely lost track of the clock.” He repeated for what must have been the third time. Finishing what was left of her drink, Sam gave a small laugh and looked back up. “Nah it’s fine. You wouldn’t be you if you didn’t lose track this often, right? I’m just glad you’re alive.”
“Debatable.” He smirked. She practically walked into that one. Ghost jokes were their only source of humour at this point, and the boys would take any chance they got to use them. After a few more minutes of back and forth banter the train finally arrived and the journey commenced. Amity park was a good two hours and thirty minutes away. This made food a must, and as promised, Sam had brought a selection of treats for them both to snack on. “Oh, I actually already ate.” Danny shrugged sheepishly looking down at the pile of treats that had been laid out between them. “But you said you didn’t have time to get anything this morning?” Did he say that? He played back their previous conversation from the platform. He must have done because Sam was right. He took a second to think of an appropriate response “Oh, I meant that I had something on the way over. Good thing I had time, right?”
Things were not adding up at this point. Sam wasn’t stupid and she could tell when she was being lied to. But what he was lying about was still unclear. Was it that he disliked what she had brought? No, that couldn’t be it. Sam had made sure to include things that he liked as well as the usual vegan variations for herself. Maybe he felt unwell? She looked over at Danny, who was gently resting against the train’s window, staring unfocused at the passing scenery. He didn’t look much better than he had around 10 minutes ago. Danny never really liked to let his guard down, especially since being outed as Phantom. While this made sense, it irked Sam when Danny refused to come forward about anything. “Hey, you alright? We could crack open the window if you want.” She motioned, giving him a light nudge. Jolted back into reality, Danny wearily lifted his head. “Huh? Yeah that’d be nice. Could do with some fresh air in here.” That was good, she hadn’t expected him to comply so easily. Getting up, Sam reached overhead and pushed the window latch open. “What do you think is up? Could it be your ice core?”
Danny shook his head. “I doubt it. I haven’t had issues with my ice core in years now. It’s probably just a lack of sleep. It’ll be fine.” There it was. It was this kind of dismissiveness that became so irritating to put up with. It made Sam want to retort back in defiance, but that wouldn’t be fair. It was best to assert herself without causing any more stress than there likely already was. But what else would work other than to push a little further? “Come on, at least drink some water.” She’d insist, offering him one of the many water-bottles she brought. After slight hesitation, Danny accepted the bottle and moved away from the window. He didn’t drink much from it, but it was something.
While most of the snacks remained untouched, the rest of the journey was well spent as the two continued to reminisce over the new ghosts they encountered over the course of the year, and how less manageable they were compared to the ghosts of Amity, which was saying a lot. They discussed what they would do once they got back. While meeting with Tucker at the Nasty Burger was on the agenda for tomorrow, today would be spent settling into their homes and catching up with family. When Danny had notified Jazz that he would be visiting for the week, she was more than happy to travel back down herself. While small, the Fenton family were close. To their parents, it wouldn’t feel the same if only one of them visited at a time. With this in mind, Jazz had insisted that her little brother mention if he were to come down so they could plan accordingly. Familiar buildings could now be seen through the window, indicating that they had reached Amity Park. The two gathered their bags and prepared to leave the train.
“Let me know when you touch base.” Sam said, giving him a quick hug as her parents pulled over to the side of the road. Danny gave an affirmative nod, returning the hug and stepping back. The two waved to each other as the vehicle turned a corner and out of sight. Now it was just him. Five minutes or so had gone by when the phone in his pocket began to buzz. Once again being brought back into the land of the living, Danny hastily grabbed the phone and slid it right to answer. “Hello?”
“Danny-o! Just calling to let you know we’re almost there! Did you arrive safely?” The screeching of car tyres through the other end of the phone were grating to listen to. “Uh, y-yeah, Dad. I’m waiting outside…” The blaring of a passing car horn caused Danny to move the phone away from his ear. “Remember to watch the road, Jack.” Maddie chimed in from the passenger seat. They were definitely close, as the same sound of the car horn was heard from a few blocks down. As if on cue, the all too familiar Fenton Family Ghost Assault Vehicle slide into view. It was a miracle that the tires were able to withstand the backlash as the vehicle came to a sudden halt. Rolling down the window, Jack beamed at his son.
“There he is. Our favourite ghost boy!”

Chapter 3
“You heard me. They’re saying he’s dead,” Dash clarified as he watched Danny for his reaction. “And from what Kwan said, his body was really messed up.”
Danny rolled his eyes as Tucker stuttered in fear. Dash was known for trying to scare his ‘victims,’ so most likely he was just trying to get a rise out of them. “Yeah, yeah, and what’s your proof?” he asked as he sat down on his bed.
That caused the jock to back track. “Well… Kwan said…”
“Dash, I get we’re in the middle of the woods, and you’re in a prime position to tell ghost stories, but unless you have proof, this is not something you should joke about,” Danny scolded which drew a few surprised looks.
“What? It goes against your morals?”
The teen’s sneer was enough to cause uncharacteristic anger to flood through him. After taking a deep breath to calm himself, Danny glowered at him. “I’m only going to explain this once,” he warned as he tried to sound deadly serious, “I’ve seen the aftermath of what happens in a family who has someone go missing, especially when there’s no explanation as to what happened. It’s not pretty, and when it comes to people who get out here all sorts of terrible things can happen, so you shouldn’t be spreading rumors that could reach the family.”
“Wait, hold on. Fenton, you had someone in your family go missing?” one of the other jocks, Zach, asked. Danny was actually surprised he caught on to that. “Did they at least find them?”
“Luckily, they did, but that’s the reason my parents were so vocal against me going, and while I think they’re way too extreme about it, I, at least, understand their concerns.”
“But, no offense, your parents go on and on about weird creatures, ghosts, and other weird crap.”
“Well, yeah, that’s what happens when you try to rationalize what happened when nothing else makes sense. They were already involved in fringe metaphysics and stuff before that happened, so it was a logical jump for them to consider time slips and other dimensions with how bizarre everything was.”
A silence fell between them as they let Danny’s words sink in. It seemed that Zach wanted to say something else, but decided against it. Dash did eventually mumble something about how he’d drop it for now. That by itself was enough validation for Danny.
“Hey,” Tucker hesitantly spoke up after several minutes as all of them began to lay down, “do you think that kind of thing is real? I mean like falling into other dimensions and stuff.”
Danny didn’t answer him immediately. “To be honest with you, I really don’t know. I know there are a lot of legends regarding things like this, and my parents’ research at least suggests the concept of other dimensions is possible. I know the concept of wormholes are mathematically supported, and that some astronomers think wormholes could possibly bridge dimensions, but we don’t have the technology to get close to one or survive it. But random rips appearing in the woods? It sounds more like sci-fi horror movie stuff, but sometimes, as stupid as it sounds, that’s the only thing that makes sense.”
…..
“Maybe Kwan was right,” Tucker mused when he and Danny exited their cabin the next morning.
There were police officers present, and an ambulance with closed doors was on the far side of the camp. Danny briefly caught sight of an officer speaking to the driver of the ambulance until he noticed the markings on the ambulance were off. After a moment, he realized it belonged to the local Coroner. If that was the case, then there was a body retrieved.
“Well, I don’t know if it was that missing camper, but something definitely happened to someone,” Danny agreed as they made their way to the mess hall for breakfast.
The worst was confirmed as breakfast was finished. Rusty once again stood in front of them. His face was somehow bleaker than the previous day as he confirmed that the missing camper had been found deceased. After the murmurs of the teenagers quieted, he continued, “I know you’re supposed to be out here for fun, but unfortunately, this circumstance happened. We are going to do our best, after the police finish their investigation, to make sure you enjoy yourself here. However, the police have requested to interview each of you to see if anyone you may have seen or heard anything while you were out yesterday. They have also requested that no one go off by themselves while they were under investigation. Please go in groups of at least two. We rangers will also try to be with you when you’re outside of camp, but we may be stretched a little thin during the investigation.”
“I’m surprised they aren’t sending us home,” Tucker mentioned once Rusty was finished speaking and the roar of the students overtook the mess hall.
“I don’t think they can. I mean, the police need to talk to us, and since it’s an open investigation, they won’t want anyone to leave the area until they’ve determined there’s nothing else they can do here,” Sam pointed out as she checked her phone.
“Hey, are you able to get any service?” Danny asked her. “I couldn’t reach my parents yesterday.”
“It’s weird. Yesterday, I could, but I’m having trouble getting service this morning.”
“Now that you mention it, I noticed that too,” Tucker added as he brought out his PDA. “And that’s the thing, with how I modified this, that shouldn’t be the case. I wonder if there’s a disrupter somewhere nearby.”
“You mean a cell phone disrupter?”
He nodded as he leaned towards them. His voice lowered as he glanced around the room. “I’m not sure if anyone else noticed it. I think most of our classmates think it’s just because we’re in the woods, but that’s not really how it works anymore. This is something that should be brought up to the police.”
“I think you’re right,” Danny agreed as he checked his phone again. “And with everything happening, I think I won’t be able to use the ranger’s phone today either.”
….
About an hour after breakfast finished, the police began their interviews of the students. While Danny and his friends waited for their turn, they hung out near the front of the mess hall. They didn’t say much, but instead, they decided to watch the area.
A while later, a long black limousine approached from the only road fit for normal vehicles and came into the camp. A few minutes after it parked, a well-dressed man with silver hair exited. As one of the officers approached the man, Danny finally realized why he recognized him.
“Oh, that’s Vlad. I wonder why he’s here,” he mused as he watched. After a moment, he noticed his friends were gaping at him. “What’s wrong?”
“You know the Vladimir Masters?” Tucker nearly choked. “He’s one of the most influential billionaires in the world!”
“He is? I knew he had money, since he helps fund some of my parents’ experiments, but I didn’t realize it was that much. Anyways, apparently he and my parents went to college together. With how often he visited when we were younger, Jazz and I kind of view him as an uncle.”
“That’s actually pretty impressive. My parents know him due to some of the business galas they’ve attended,” Sam mentioned as a devious smirk crossed her face. “Oh, I can’t wait to tell them that Vlad is your parents’ benefactor. Mother dearest will have a conniption.”
Their conversation turned to what Danny knew of the man, and he answered the best he could. As he thought about it, he realized he didn’t know a lot of personal details about the man. Vlad tended to focus on the people around him and avoid talking about himself. He just figured Vlad was a very private person.
When Vlad finished speaking with the officer, he approached the trio. “Oh, Daniel! What a surprise! I never expected to run into you in a place like this with how protective Maddie is.” His tone was pleasant, but his exaggerated gestures almost made it seem like he was acting.
“We’re here on a school trip. I guess the PTA and teachers managed to convince her and Dad we’d be protected. But why are you here? No offense, but seeing you in the middle of the woods in a suit is weird,” Danny replied nonchalantly. He was used to Vlad’s over the top behavior.
“It’s unfortunate, really,” he explained as he glanced over his shoulder towards the officers. “The gentleman who they found dead works for one of my companies. I came out to see if the police officers required any assistance with resources, funds or otherwise, and offer my services.” As he turned back to face Danny, his eyes widened as he seemingly noticed Sam and Tucker for the first time. “Ah, you must be Daniel’s friends. Where are my manners? I’m Vladimir Masters, but you may call me Vlad.” He extended his hand towards them.
Tucker eagerly took his hand, but Sam was a little more hesitant. “I’m surprised that a big name like yourself personally looks in on their workers,” she told him.
A pleasant hum escaped the man. “I do try to keep tabs on those I employ. This particular incident, however, is extremely tragic and unusual, so I felt it was prudent to personally show my support for those investigating.”
“Yeah? I’ve also heard that killers like to inject themselves into investigations.”
“Sam!?”
“It’s quite alright, Daniel,” Vlad told him as he flashed a pleasant smile. “She does bring up a valid point, and it’s likely I will be asked a few more questions at a later time as a result. However, I can assure you that I was in my office a few states away when Mr. Aiden Jones was reported missing. Hmm, I also think I may have a word with your teacher. With a tragic event like this, it’s unwise to have you remain here when it is unclear if it is safe or not. Now, if you excuse me.”
As Vlad began to turn, Danny took a step closer as a thought crossed his mind. “Oh, Vlad, I hate to ask, but would you happen to have a phone I can use to call my parents? Mom left me a frantic message, but my phone’s not working, and I can’t use the Rangers’ phone right now…”
The man appraised him for a moment. “I don’t have a phone on me right now, but I do have one in my car. While I don’t think your teacher or the police would find it appropriate to let you in my car at the moment, I can at least give them a call for you.”
“Thank you!”
Vlad flashed him a large grin. “Anything for you, dear boy. But, I really must be off. Ta!” With that, he walked away, approached one of the nearby rangers, and struck up a conversation.
“So that’s Vlad Masters,” Tucker mentioned once he was certain the man was out of earshot. “I can’t figure out if I like him or not.”
“I don’t. It felt like everything he said and did was an act,” Sam told them as she crossed her arms. Her eyes never left the billionaire.
Danny just shrugged as he put his hands in his pockets. “He’s always been like that. I don’t really know if it’s because being involved in business, or because he lives alone.”
“He lives alone? No family or anything?”
“Nope,” he replied as he popped the ‘p’. “He’s never had anyone as long as I’ve known him. Both Dad and Mom like to ask him about whether or not he’s dating anyone whenever he’s stopped by, but he’s always answered that he’s too busy. I think Mom’s tried to hook him up with a few dates, but it never panned out.”
A frown crossed Tucker’s features as he glanced at the man. “You’d think he’d have people throwing themselves at him because of his wealth.”
“That might be why he isn’t seeing anyone. Anyways, any thoughts on what happened?”
“Not really,” Sam replied as she glanced towards some of the rangers and police. “If they thought it was just an accident, you’d think they’d come right out and tell us. I’m going to assume they aren’t sure, so they need to try to rule out a few things before they tell us anything.”
“Looks like we’ll have a chance to ask one of the officers. I guess it’s our turn to be interviewed,” Danny mentioned as one of the officers caught their attention and beckoned them.
A few minutes later, the officer took them into the mess hall. It was fairly routine. The officer, Malik, assured them they weren’t in any trouble or suspects. He just wanted to know if they had seen or heard anything while they were out on the trails the previous day. They explained that everything seemed normal, and they couldn’t recall seeing anything out of the norm. Tucker did mention that the three of them were having trouble with their cell phones.
Officer Malik made a strange expression at the new information, but did say anything regarding it. He just thanked them for their time, and sent them on their way.
Before he left the room, Danny spoke up, “Sir, do you know what happened? Should we be worried?”
He was silent for a few moments before replying. “We’re pretty sure he just had a bad accident, but, since we don’t have an official answer yet, we do have to investigate and take statements. Sorry this had to happen while you kids are on a trip.”
Danny thanked him and hurried out the door with his friends. “So, what do you think?” he asked as he checked behind him to make sure no one was paying attention to them as they walked behind one of the cabins.
“That’s pretty cut and dry, isn’t it?” Tucker asked as he scratched his head. “Accidents do happen.”
“Yeah, but the officer didn’t reassure us it was safe. Danny, you noticed it too?” When he nodded, Sam continued, “I think they’re trying to downplay what might have happened which worries me. And since our cell phones still aren’t working properly, it makes me more anxious. I guess Vlad was right. We shouldn’t be here right now.”
“Sam! Don’t say things like that!” The scared whine in Tucker’s voice almost made Danny laugh. “You’ll see, Dash and his jerk friends will use it to tell ghost stories tonight. I not going to be happy if I lose sleep.”
“And here I thought you liked scary stories.”
“Not when we’re smack dab in the middle of the beginning of a real life horror movie!”
