The Quiet Kind
Amidst the steady hum of the Polar Tang, your sanctuary lies—a haven of tranquil silence amidst the bustling chaos of pirate life. As a member of the Heart Pirates, you navigate the world with a quiet grace, your shy demeanor concealing a heart brimming with untold emotions.
Trafalgar Law, your captain, finds himself inexplicably drawn to your silent presence. His stoic facade belies a heart that quickens at the sight of your timid smile, each brush of your gentle hands.
He admires the way you carry yourself, despite your lack of words.
----
One day, as you find yourself in need of assistance with a task aboard the Polar Tang, you cast a shy glance towards Law, silently pleading for his help. With keen perception, Law understands your unspoken request, offering his assistance with a reassuring nod.
Amidst the subdued lighting of the sub's repair bay, you and Law stand side by side, focused on the task at hand. The metallic clang of tools against machinery reverberates through the chamber as you work together to repair a crucial component of the submarine's propulsion system.
Law's instructions are steady and sure, his hands deftly maneuvering the tools as he explains each step of the process with a calm patience.
He guides you with a patience born of his affection for you; quietly, carefully. Despite your lack of verbal communication, his words are clear and concise, aiding you through the intricate workings of the machinery with ease.
“That’s it,” he says softly as he watches you work. The dim lighting within the submarine casts a soft glow over the metallic corridors, creating an atmosphere of subdued tranquility as the Polar Tang glides gracefully through the underwater realm.
You follow his lead, your movements careful and precise as you assist in disassembling and repairing the damaged parts.
As you focus on the task at hand, Law's thoughts wander, his heart yearning to express the depth of his feelings. Outside the portholes, shafts of sunlight filter down from the surface, illuminating the underwater world with an otherworldly glow. Schools of fish dart past, their iridescent scales catching the light in a dazzling display of color.
"You're doing great," Law murmurs softly, his voice a mere whisper amidst the quiet of the room. Though his words are meant for your ears alone, they carry the weight of his unspoken longing, a silent confession hidden in the cadence of his voice.
With each fleeting glance exchanged, Law's heart sings with unspoken desires, his gaze lingering on your form with a tenderness he dare not voice aloud. He longs to tell you of the emotions that swirl within him, but the words remain trapped behind the cold walls of his stone-face.
As the task nears completion, Law steals another glance at you, "Thank you," he murmurs once more, his voice barely a whisper as he fights to contain the torrent of emotions threatening to spill from his lips.
As the final pieces fall into place, you steal a glance at Law, your eyes expressing not only undeniable gratitude but also a hint of something more — affection, perhaps?
“You did great,” Law smiles softly, "I barely helped," he chuckles, humility evident in his tone. "That was all you."
You blush at his praise, smiling softly and glancing down at the floor before shyly tucking a strand of hair behind your ear.
Unable to speak your feelings aloud, you summon your courage and swallow dryly before pressing a soft kiss to your captain’s cheek.
Law's heart skips a beat at the unexpected touch, his face flushing faintly as he gazes at you.
In that fleeting moment, amidst the quiet of the room and the enchanting underwater world outside, your unspoken bond deepens, intertwining like the intricate threads of the ocean's currents.
With a shy smile, you turn to leave the room, your heart fluttering with newfound courage.
And as Law watches you go, a smile tugs at his lips, his admiration blossoming into something deeper—a silent sort of love.

And I tried my best to be reasonable with the prices. Also, I'm not yet doing full chart readings as I am a student with two majors and I'm already struggling with balancing things. In time I will do them. Free one question culture requests are still open, but please don't request for things you see on the pricing catalogue like a big three reading...
I don't want to bore you all too much so here we go🧚🏾‍♀️🦋🌻✨
Astrology Notes...
~4th house Gemini makes for someone who develops family-like bonds in friendships.
~taurus risings tend to be possessive due to the influence of their scorpio 7th house.
~pluto at angular houses 1st, 7th, 4th and 10th is a huge indicator of someone who has had intense experiences in the respective key areas of life and there's spiritual lessons to be learnt regarding that area through transformation.
~libra venus placements may find it really hard to stay single
~7° and 19° venus or moon signs may struggle with the theme of physical perfection and wanting to attain it.
~virgo moons have a tendency of creating problems if they don't have any current ones to solve
~capricorn risings really do look older in their younger days and younger when they're older.
~moon and neptune in 1st house natives may give off the perception that they need saving and may attract people with a martyrdom complex.
~sagittarius, 9th house, 9° and 21° mercuries may have an affinity to music in foreign languages while cancer, 4th house, 4°,16°,28° may enjoy music in their mother tongue
~jupiter in 2nd house and 10th house is heavy lotto winner vibes. Literally and figuratively.
~mercury in 2nd house and at Taurean degrees(2°,14° and 26°) are the born singers
~the 22nd degree is an underrated fame degree...I have a bey's🐝 fame analysis I've been sitting on for a while. That's a conversation for another day.
~pisces venus and mars are the most romantic people in the world which makes me kind of believe the astrology theory of neptune being the higher frequency of venus.
~leo moons really take their hair seriously and may feel out of loop if their hair is not well done.
~want to easily impress a cancer mars man??? Sing praises to your mom. Be dotting around kids.
~girls with 9th house, 9° and 21° Venus are so magically beautiful. Abundance of beauty.
~To a decent degree, liberation of women in society came at the expense of gemini, sagittarius and aquarius venus women being slut-shamed(This is not at all saying other women did not contribute to the liberation of women 🌻✨ That's a conversation for another day)
~neptune plays a huge role in beauty trends and that's why neptune dominant women are usually the beauty influencers which explains why beauty standards are mutable and ever changing.
~jupiter in 7th house can go two ways... extreme luck in meaningful relationships or someone who never has serious relationships and is forever on the look...
~pisces/12th house mercuries and mercury afflicted by neptune are often under fire for being the liars when the real culprit is the sagittarius/9th house mercuries and mercury-jupiter hard aspects.
~I personally view the north node as a jupiter variant. While the general consensus is that it is the purpose we're working for, I do believe that it's also an indicator of our birthrights, innate gifts and where we're lucky.

Rating Hazbin Hotel characters by how long I think it took them to figure out their new forms
Charlie- was literally born in hell, developed her fine motor skills accordingly
Mimzy- no problems whatsoever
Cherri Bomb- little to no issues, but having only one eye was kinda weird
Niffty- her worst issue was being so much shorter than she was before, but got over that pretty quickly
Vaggie- took her a while to get used to having no depth perception
Alastor- his first 5 minutes in hell involved him fighting his own legs, anyone that saw him stumble/trip would be instantly killed
Angel Dust- didn’t realize his extra arms were retractable, was pissed that he didn’t figure it out sooner
Vox- whenever he updates his appearance, it takes him a day or so to get used to the changes, has overestimated his ability to fit his head through gaps on multiple occasions
Valentino- still in denial about his terrible eyesight, loved that he could use his wings like a big fancy coat/cape
Husk- understood that cat part pretty quickly, had no clue what he was doing with his wings and often hit them against people/objects
Sir Pentious- took forever for him to figure out how one moves when they don’t have any legs, face planted soooo many times

Aphrodite Intro Pages
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Let us delve into the realm of the Greek goddess Aphrodite, known as the Smile-Loving. She is a divine beauty, Her radiance rivaling that of the heavens, yet Her wrath can be as fierce as the sea She was born from. Emerging from the sea froth of Ouranos' castration, She is hailed as the daughter of Zeus. While She may be a minor deity of the sea, particularly associated with sea foam and creatures like tortoises, turtles, and clams, Her influence extends far beyond, shaping numerous myths and narratives as the Goddess of Passion.
These pages will give you a glimpse into my understanding and reverence of Aphrodite. The content, largely drawn from my grimoire, is a testament to my unique perception and worship of this goddess. However, it's important to note that the altar concept, while significant to me, is a conceptual representation and not a direct reflection of my daily worship. These visuals are crafted with the internet in mind and are highly aesthetic.
55. To Aphrodite (The Orphic Hymns, Athanassakis and Wolkow translation; excerpt)
Heavenly, smiling Aphrodite, praised in many hymns, sea-born revered goddess of generation, you like the night-long revel, you couple lovers at night, O scheming mother of Necessity. Everything comes from you: you have yoked the world, you control all three realms, you give birth to all, to everything in heaven, to everything upon the fruitful earth, to everything in the depths of the sea, O venerable companion of Bacchos. You delight in festivities, O bride-like mother of the Erotes, O Persuasion, whose joy is in the bed of love, secretive giver of grace, visible and invisible, lovely-tressed daughter of a noble father, bridal feast companion of the gods, sceptered, she-wolf, beloved and man-loving, giver of birth and life. Your maddening love-charms yoke mortals, they yoke the many races of beasts to unbridled passion. Come, O goddess born in Kypros: you may be on Olympos, O queen, exulting in the beauty of your face, you may be in Syria, country of fine frankincense you may be driving your golden chariot in the plain, you may lord it over Egypt's fertile river bed. Come, whether you ride your swan-drawn chariot over the sea's billows, joining the creatures of the deep, as they dance in circles, or on the land in the company of the dark-faced nymphs as light-footed they frisk over the sandy beaches, Come lady, even if you are in Kypros that cherishes you, where fair maidens and chaste brides throughout the year sing of you, O blessed one, as they sing of immortal, pure Adonis. Come, O beautiful, O comely goddess, I summon you with holy words, I summon you with a pious soul.

Hiya! Hope you’re doing well! Just found your acc and I love all your stuff!! ^^
Not sure how to rq so I’m hoping i do this right-but please tyt !!
Could you do a young reader telling their favorite slasher(s) they wanna be like them when they grow up? (Ex Danny, Michael, Bubba, Legion… but can be anybody :] )
Awww! You’re so sweet Anon. I’m glad you like my stuff. It makes me happy. Anyways, here is your request! Hope you enjoy!
Michael Myers
You, unaware of the true extent of Michael Myers’ dark tendencies, approaches him with wide-eyed innocence. You are completely perplexed by him, a shrouded mystery, and your fascination with him is born out of a childlike curiosity. From a distance, you have observed Michael’s determination and relentless pursuit of his murderous goals. You admire his seemingly unstoppable nature, viewing him as a figure of strength and power.
Out of naivety, you express your desire to be like Michael when you grow up. You like how he embodies fearlessness and control, qualities you aspire to possess in your own life.
Michael doesn’t understand why you want to be like him. Seriously, he’s literally a murderer. Sometimes even he wishes he wasn’t who he was, but it is what it is. He just can’t comprehend the innocence behind your words; he takes it too seriously. Plus, at this point, his perception of human emotions and desires is skewed by his own desire to kill, leading him to believe you're just trying to flatter him so he doesn’t kill you. He’s not gonna kill you because you're just a kid if you're wondering though; he doesn’t kill kids.
In response, Michael remains eerily silent, his impassive mask betraying no hint of emotion. His lack of verbal response strikes you with greater fascination for the tall silent man. However, Michael may not communicate verbally, his mere presence serves as a silent warning of the possible dangers he could put you through. His cold, unyielding gaze conveys a sense of danger, hinting at the darkness that lurks beneath his outward facade. Despite your admiration, you start to feel uneasy under his presence. He just wants you to stop bothering him. It’s nothing personal; he’s just not really a fan of kids.
As you run off, you still remain blissfully unaware of the true depths of Michael’s wickedness. In your mind, he remains a symbol of strength and resilience, your admiration undiminished by the sinister reality of who Michael Myers truly is.
Jason Voorhees
You, unaware of Jason’s violent reputation around Camp Crystal Lake, approach him with an innocent admiration. To you, Jason is a larger-than-life type figure, shrouded in mere mystery and intrigue. Despite the fear Jason normally inflicts in others, you bravely approach him. Your innocent curiosity overrides any sense of any fear or anxiousness you feel.
You would bombard Jason with questions, eager to learn more about his life and experiences. You ask about the mask, his immense strength, and the stories surrounding Crystal Lake. You would express your desire to be like Jason when you grow up, marveling at his formidable strength and resilience. Jason represents the power and invincibility that you hope to possess one day.
Jason is taken aback by your desire to be like him. Despite his inability to communicate verbally, he silently contemplates the implications of your words, grappling with the notion that someone sees him as a role model.
Sensing the innocence behind your words, Jason subtly imparts a lesson on morality. Through his actions, he’ll demonstrate that violence and vengeance are not paths that should be emulated, even if you idolize his strength and resilience.
Before you depart from Jason, he offers you a small gift – a symbol of protection and guidance. He’d give you a teddy bear given to him by his mother when he was just a child like you, imbedded with his silent promise to watch over you from the shadows, guiding them down a path free from the darkness that consumes him.
Bubba Sawyer
You approach Bubba with wide-eyed innocence, unaware of the horror surrounding the infamous killer. To you, Bubba is akin to a hero from a storybook or comic, but looks much scarier.
Bubba is confused when he sees the genuine admiration in your eyes. He’s hesitant as he is not used to such innocent expressions directed towards him. Normally, it’s always fear and horror he sees in someone’s eyes when they spot him. Bubba will make confused squealing noises as he tilts his head slightly, studying you while his chainsaw is held loosely at his side.
Bubba would reach out to you tentatively, patting your head gently. His rough hands, stained with blood and grime from his gruesome work, offers a stark contrast to the tenderness of the gesture. Bubba’s emotions churn as he feels a sense of protectiveness towards you. You’re just so god damn cute that he can’t resist! He wants to shield you from the harsh realities of his existence. Yet, he knows all too well of how pointless it is to give into the aspirations of protecting you.
Not wanting to harm you, Bubba squeals and gestures to his chainsaw to convey to you a warning. He really doesn’t want to turn you into meat. If he gets caught not trying to kill you, his brothers, especially Drayton, will force him to and he’d be very sad. There’s a sadness in his eyes, a silent acknowledgement of the innocence he can never reclaim.
Before you escape the Sawyer property, Bubba will offer you his bracelet made out of bones that he always wears – a token of his affection. He’ll then give you a gruff nod of acknowledgement and lumbar away as if nothing happened as you live another day.

Nesta, Interrupted: gendered perceptions of alcoholism in ACOSF
CW: addiction, sexual assault, gendered violence.
Creds: I’m a licensed counselor with a degree specialization in treating addiction. I have career experience with multiple modes of mental health, trauma, and substance use treatment in women-specific carceral, institutional, and healthcare settings. And I know anyone can come on the internet and say that, but I pinky promise.
The short version:
ACOSF stigmatizes alcoholism in line with cultural standards.
Western culture feels differently about female and male alcoholics due to systemic sexism, and thus treats them differently.
Women’s experience of alcoholism is often compounded by or even a result of systemic factors and intersectional identity.
Nesta’s treatment in ACOSF, while repugnant, is in many ways very accurate of attitudes today.
(I’ll be using “women/men” and “male/female” to denote cis afab and amab people. Little research exists on the experiences of queer, nonbinary and gender expansive considerations in addiction and recovery, which is a fuckin’ shame. Studies are also largely conducted with white participants due to enormous barriers to treatment for Black, Indigenous, and people of color, so this convo is inherently incomplete where it neglects those intersections.)
Okay, first things first: ACOSF is a book that stigmatizes alcoholism. I will not be taking questions.
The number one thing to understand is that in America, land of Miss Sarah, we are very bad at addiction treatment (tx). Why? Because our culture hates addicts has as stigma around addiction. And female alcoholics bear a very specific set of stigmas based in their identity.
In Susanna Kaysen’s memoir Girl, Interrupted , Kaysen’s character is institutionalized following a non-fatal suicide attempt. When evaluated, she’s diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, that bastion of diagnoses perfect for people (75% of whom are female-identified) who don’t fit into our polite definition of functioning. As the book unfolds, she reflects on how (white) women are often pathologized when they buck against systems of oppression that create the dysfunction in them in the first place. That is not to say other women in the institution are not genuinely in need of help, nor that mental illness in women is always from a systemic wound. But it’s crucial in the treatment of female addiction and mental health disorders to considered the systemic factors of gendered violence and patriarchy, and the attitudes we hold about women who struggle with drinking.
Think about female alcoholics in media. If she’s young, she’s a loose, reckless sl*t looking for trouble and deserving of the reality check when she finds it (Amy Schumer in Trainwreck, Lindsay Lohan in general). Or if the woman are older, they are discarded, or gross, or pathetic, or evil like anyone Faye Dunaway played or Eminem’s mom in 8 Mile (deep cut lol). Men are afforded a much larger spectrum of experiences and struggles - Ernest Hemingway, Leaving Las Vegas, Sideways, the dude from A Star is Born, Frank from Shameless (brilliant), frat boys, blue collar workers, introspective tortured artists, fucking IRON MAN. I could go on forever, but I hope that illustrates the depth and diversity of male-centric stories of alcoholism not often afforded to women.
One of the most empathetic and accurate portrayals of female alcoholism, in my opinion, is in the show Sharp Objects (the book, too, but actually witnessing it makes a difference). We see Amy Adams’ Camille swig vodka from an Evian bottle while fending off vicious, veiled attacks from her verbally and emotionally abusive mother and experiencing flashbacks of teenage sexual assault. We watch her struggle to find emotional safety in her conservative hometown, both wanting to fit in and get out in order to survive. We GET why she drinks and I have trouble blaming her for it even as she wreaks havoc on herself and others. We can see her clawing just to make it out alive, and alcohol is the tool she’s using to do it, for better or worse.
Which is where Nesta enters the chat. When we get our first glimpse of her alcohol use is ACOFAS, it’s portrayed as something everyone knows about but that she’s still mostly keeping it together - her dress is clean, her hair is neatly braided, she doesn’t need a chaperone to show up to a family event. The deterioration between ACOFAS and ACOSF is alarming, and we know that alcoholism is a progressive condition so that tends to happen. Was there a particular trigger? That’s hard to say. Solstice certainly didn’t help, especially with the pressures to perform and conform to the standards of the Inner Circle aka the people in power. I imagine seeing her sisters bouncey and reveling in the world that stole them and killed their father was probably.. tough, to say the least. The barge party seems to be a turning point as well, though this one is more confusing to me. But given the child abuse, extreme poverty, sexual assault, kidnapping, bodily violation, witnessing her father’s murder, almost dying, WAR - and that’s not even to mention essentially becoming a refugee - it would be amazing if she DIDN’T drink. She 100% has complex trauma, and is looking for ways to cope.
No one with full capacity dreams of becoming an addict when they grow up. Addiction, in my professional and personal experience, is largely a strategy for coping with a deeper wound. People don’t drink to feel bad. They drink to feel good, and to survive. Nesta herself is drinking to survive, but it’s having the unfortunate side effect of killing her at the same time. As she slides into active addiction, the thought of her own death may even be comforting, and alcohol in that way is her friend. (There's some interesting research right now framing addiction as an attachment disorder, but I don't know enough to speak on it much.)
So she obviously needs help. That’s not a debate. What is a debate is how the IC should best go about intervening. A variation on the Johnson method is used in ACOSF (the one from the show Intervention) and appears to be successful only because they threaten her if she doesn’t comply. This method has mixed data to support it, and while it’s very good at getting people into tx, there is a higher relapse rate for those who receive it (1). The “family” gathers and tells her the ways she’s hurt them and tell her the consequences if she doesn’t seek the help they’re offering. And again, so many of their reason are the effects on THEM, how she’s making THEM look, not her pain.
The IC’s ignorance and dismissal of her alcoholism in ACOSF is frankly mystifying. Why do they intervene on all the drinking and sexing, anyway? It seems like they’ve been fine enough with it up to this point. But now it's gone too far, not because of her illness but because she is embarrassing them. And I don’t know about you, but between Cassian apparently fucking half of Velaris and Mor’s heavily documented emotional drinking, that’s hard to square. It makes it feel much more likely that they don’t like the way she is coping, that she is not fitting into their picture of who she’s supposed to be. This picture is inherently gendered, because Prythian society and those who live in it have explicit and implicit expectations of gender roles, whether they’ll admit it or not. Cassian and Mor are playing their roles well; Nesta is not.
That leads me to believe it is NOT all about her, but the systemic and internal factors influencing their perception of her and the ways she’s struggling. It’s distasteful to them for her, a female, to be deteriorating this publicly, despite the fact that her very identity makes it harder for her to function in the patriarchy of Prythian. We hear almost exclusively about sexual violence against women, aside from 2 male characters. Past or present assault of women is a major plot point on multiple occasions (Mor, Gwyn, Nesta, Emerie, Rhysands mom and sister, the lady of autumn, Cassians mom, Azriels mom, I could go on). But something about the way Nesta is contending with that is unacceptable, and I believe it’s because she’s not trying to cover up her dysfunction. In prythian, we keep these things hidden- Mor’s assault is never processed in full, Azriel’s mom seems to be alone at Rosehall, priestesses are literally hidden inside a mountain for centuries. Women process trauma alone and in the dark, but Nesta is in the light and she is loud. She is refusing to hide her problems, and the IC don’t like that, whether they realize it or not.
So why don’t the IC understand this? Like I said earlier, as a culture we hate addicts, or what they stand for, in very much the same way I think we hate people experiencing homelessness. We convince ourselves it was a series of bad choices that led someone where they are, choices we would never make because we are smart, smarter than them. We believe are more in control than that. We can prevent bad things from happening to us because we are good, because we are better than whoever it’s happening to. But the reality is almost ALL of us are one hospital stay away from homelessness, just as all of us are one trauma away from addiction. And with female addicts, we have another layer of expecting women to only struggle nicely and quietly, or to go away. Intersectional factors are at play here, too: white women are much more likely to have alcoholism attributed to mental health and trauma factors, where people of color often suffer the same addiction being more associated with crime. You can imagine how that plays out differently.
So what is the effect of all this? Gendered expectations lead to not only external stigma around addiction and tx, but also to internalized stigma which can limit willingness to seek tx. (2) Many social forces encourage women to drink and discourage them from telling anyone. Factors such as poverty, family planning, access to education, racial discrimination, and location can make services harder to access. Internally, women are more likely to enter treatment with less confidence in their ability to succeed, but report more strengths and more potential to grow recovery strengths during and following tx. For men, the pattern is reversed (3). And women have more successful tx episodes overall when gendered considerations are a part of the design and implementation of services (4). For Nesta, the effect is that she’s forced into treatment and copes by having hate sex with her ex and changing herself to conform to her family’s expectations while the House and the Valkyrie’s actually take care of her. I do not see how Sarah drew the line from there to recovery, I truly don’t. If anything, she recovers in spite of the ICs intervention, not because of it.
In summary, Nesta Archeron deserved better. Nesta deserved the same compassion the book gives to men who are struggling, and it’s a reflection of not just the book’s culture but the author’s culture that she doesn’t get it. Female alcoholics are worthy of treatment that integrates their identities, as those identities are often essential factors contributing to their addiction. What's shown in ACOSF is a reality many women live, and they shouldn't have to.

Hi, hope you're well.
What type of vehicle (non-motor options also welcome) would the gaang + others own/use? But also which vehicle would they like to have (so like a dream vehicle)
aang: one of those kids who bikes everywhere like he’s in an 80s movie. he’d probably get some kind of eco-friendly electric car. or he’d find a way to paraglide everywhere idk
katara: ideologically opposed to cars, exclusively takes public transport (or just straight up walks, or if she’s really desperate, makes sokka drive her), but it is a secret dream of hers to have a really cool badass motorcycle, even though she is fully aware of how dangerous they are (or at least, so she claims). fwiw jet and haru both ride motorcycles; jet’s is really loud fuckoff motorcycle, whereas haru’s is more like a cute little green moped
sokka: he can drive, but because it’s his family’s car, he only drives it when absolutely necessary, bc the thought of getting a single scratch on it and disappointing gran gran, his absent father, or even his mother’s ghost, is a thought too nerve-wracking to bear. his dream vehicle is an efficient nationwide high speed rail. his slightly more realistic dream vehicle is that car from james bond (yes i know it’s an aston martin im talking specifically about the aston martin from the bond films that q modifies in various ways don’t @ me)
toph: her family probably has a chauffeur. she obviously cannot drive, nor does she care about breeds of cars. she’d like driving in a fast convertible though for the feeling of the wind in her hair
zuko: also grew up with a chauffer. never learned how to drive bc he has no depth perception. which is a very good thing because his road rage would be atrocious. his dream vehicle is probably a beautiful dappled grey horse.
suki: she drives/lives in her pickup truck. she wishes she drove/lived in a slightly bigger pickup truck, or perhaps a red ferrari
mai: she was born to ride the new york city subway. she loves to hop the turnstile even though she can afford it, but it’s not about that. it’s about the principle ($2.90 is simply appalling), and most importantly, it’s about the thrill of it. however, i do think she’d enjoy driving too, if only because she loves fingerless leather gloves. she doesn’t really need a car to wear that though.
ty lee: she’s a very sensible driver. she’s never gotten a ticket but if she did she would get out of it masterfully. her dream car is that toy pink convertible barbie drives in the barbie movie.
azula: never learns how to drive because she never needs to learn: she does not drive, she is driven. she doesn’t care what kind of car she’s being driven in, as long as it’s noticeably expensive. one time mai makes her ride the subway with her and she is scared out of her mind. she expresses that fear through loud disgust

i have compassion for Fitz Vacker in the same way I have compassion for Child stars in Hollywood.
He is perceived as a living dream, while he exists in a nightmare that people have so little understanding and empathy for. There's a level to him that is fundamentally unrelatable to most. He has no perceived lacking. At least, not when you're taking in the situation at face-value.
And this^ way of seeing him is fundamentally isolating. It strips him of depth and realness, and it makes him into an image to ascribe ideas and false perceptions onto. A blank canvas to project all of your worst insecurities . After all, He's not real- it doesn't hurt him, right? In fact, it's trendy among the lower class to dislike him. If you aren't obsessed with him to the point of a parasocial relationship, then you resent him. He cannot struggle or have any issues whatsoever because the perception of what luxury is, is so powerful.
This is reflected in the way Dex saw the Vacker's in books 1 and 2. It's reflected in the fandom's inability to empathize with Fitz is any way shape or form (at least on Pinterest/YouTube/Instagram)
He's socialized more around adults than his peers, because of the idea of giftedness and notoriety. Which just puts him on a higher pedestal, and makes him a larger target to hate among kids his age.
He is known, but he is not known. If anyone pursues him as a friend, it is for the sake of making connections and being popular. It's disingenuous. It's to use him as a stepping stool on a rapid rise to fame. to exploit him for personal gain. His trust issues don't come from nowhere, after all.
He had one friend his entire childhood. and what do you know? It's a kid who is trying so hard to outrun the exploitation of his dad's dreams and wishes for him.
Sure, Fitz's parents are present in his life, but they can only mitigate so much of the outside world before it starts seeping right through the walls of their home.
I just think it would be so strange to have so many people barely know you and either obsess over you to the point that you are more fantasy than reality, or resent you so much that you can't say a word without hearing some snide comment in response. And to know that NONE of it is real. None of these people know you.
Fitz's family obviously represents a really big issue in society. Because Dex, Sophie etc... they are RIGHT, that the standards of their world aren't fair. They are right to call it out. They are right to have anger towards the 'upper class' who does nothing to help the lower class. It's understandable. and it's far more relatable than Fitz's situation. but the thing is, shame is shame. and scorn is scorn.
the upper class may whisper. But the lower class does too.
and that's just it. Therein lies the issue with the lost cities.
IT"S NO ONES CHOICE. It was not Dex's choice to born into a bad match marriage, it was not Keslar and Juline's choice to be born in a world where a system like mathmaking even exists. It wasn't their choice to have triplets. But it also wasn't their choice to raise them in a society that hates them.
But no more was it Fitz's choice to be born a Vacker. No more was it his choice that his parents happened to be a good match. It's not his choice to be born into a society where that stuff matters. He's a kid.
But because he represents something at face value that people tend to hate, he is undeserving of compassion when compared to a character like Dex. Fitz is dismissed and disliked because he represents something about their society, even though he's a child who has no real way to combat what generations older than him have enforced.
He is the vessel that is easy to target and to hate, because people need to find someone to blame. Even if that person technically has not contributed in any way to the thing that the people wish to destroy.
and it can only cause resentment to build between the two classes.
Idk man the perception of Fitz Vacker will forever have my head spinning.

I'm not gonna find this tweet because quite frankly I don't feel like going on Twitter
Tumblr media
Aside from the fact that this tweet is classist, not everyone can afford lasik, and lasik has been known to cause issues with your eyes, and it's a temporary solution (your eyes will worsen as you get older anyways).
This tweet really ignores how much the optometrist industry is just in general a really shitty and gaslighting industry for people that have issues beyond just astigmatism and vision issues.
And you're probably thinking "Like that's only a small fraction of people. What about everyone else?" That's kind of the fucking issue. I've had shit vision my ENTIRE life. Literally. Was so fucking blind when I was born that it caused long lasting damage in the nerves in my eyes.
Which means I've been to a lot of optometrists, and if you have any vision problems beyond what's seen as "common" (near sighted or near sighted with an astigmatism) they don't know shit.
And I could go into shit like how none of the optometrists thought to point out that I probably don't have depth perception until I was 23. But that's a niche issue regarding a disability I have due to my vision being so shit when I was so young.
Let's go into an issue that's less common. My prescription was +5.00 or worse my entire life. Plus I have an astigmatism. And a lot of contact companies don't make prescriptions for such severe farsightedness with an astigmatism. (They make prescriptions for -5.00, but not +5.00)
Every time I go to the doctor they're like OH MY GAWDS YOUR CONTACT BRAND IS SO BAD ITS LIKE YOUR EYES ARE SUFFOCATONG I MUST GET YOU A NEW ONE. And every single year I'm like "Trust me. You don't have any options in my prescription." And every time they're like OAH MAH GODS THEY MAKE ME EVERY YEAR LET MEH CHECK.
I'm like "Sure. Whatever."
Guess what? Last I actually checked 7 brands carry my prescription in monthly. A few carry my prescription in contacts that need to be changed every 2 weeks. But none of them carry my prescription in contacts that need to be changed every week or every day. (Which is apparently better or something. Idk.)
Why the fuck would I trust the doctors that gaslight me every year about what contacts I can use to suggest surgery for my eyes?
And that's not even getting into the very weird specific issues I have with my vision that eye doctors just.... shrug off... like they legit just ignore it. Like no matter what prescription they put me in I can always tell my vision doesn't match up to my peers even though I technically test 20/20.
(I know about the whole relax your eyes when you test thing. I literally tell my optometrist "Yo. Like this shit so blurry." And they just tell me that this is the best they can correct me to. Just try to focus my eyes more. This this isn't fucking normal.)
Idk. Ableds (derogatory) need to stop demanding disabled people get their shit fixed and instead ask "What the fuck is wrong with the system that these disabled people don't trust it to fix their shit?"
(Not everyone that wears glasses considers themselves disabled. If you don't consider yourself disabled, good for you. But my vision literally can't be fixed to match my peers, so... not to mention glasses can cost people hundreds of dollars and if your vision is shit enough the weight of the lenses can seriously wear and tear on your frames and your face.)

“The Archer” Angel Dust Analysis
Tumblr media
A/n: ALRIGHT YALL❣️ it’s been a hot minute (literally a whole month lol rip☠️) but I have FINALLY written this and am ready to share it with everyone!🤩 So I’m a huge Swiftie and I absolutely love Angel😭💕 so listening to this song: “The Archer” instantly made me think of him. I think the lyrics really highlight how his experiences with love have shaped the complexities of his true feelings and while we still have so much more to discover about his and Husk’s developing relationship in the show, I truly think that this song just “screams” them. If you haven’t listened to the song before, I definitely recommend to!😊 Anyway, lez get into it!😎
Note: For reference, I primarily used this article: https://gwtimes.org/1625/music-books-movies/the-archer-taylor-swift-lyric-analysis/ to organize all of my thoughts and opinions on why this song suits Angel so well. I think this author did an excellent job at explaining the real message of the song in regards to Taylor’s life, but this analysis is solely based on my OWN interpretation of how Angel’s character fits this song. Just wanted to clarify. THANK YOU AND ENJOY!!!❤️❤️❤️
Combat, I’m ready for combat
I say I don’t want that, but what if I do?
Cause cruelty wins in the movies
I’ve got a hundred thrown out speeches I almost said to you
Okay so, with these first few lines, we can think about how much Angel has been through, both in life and death. Like anyone else, he’s made mistakes and fought with many people he’s cared about before, whether that be with his birth family (ex: Arackniss, Molly) or his newfound family/friends he’s made at the hotel later on (ex: Charlie, Husk, Niffty, Sir Pentious, etc). But in terms of his actual familial background, Angel was born and raised in the mafia, meaning he’s used to seeing the indescribable horrors and violence associated with that lifestyle. He has no choice but to conjure up this metaphorical shield of “armor” in order to not only protect himself but also, survive. This ultimately makes it very difficult for Angel to form and develop good, healthy relationships, whether that’d be platonic or romantic, because as much as he craves genuine love and affection, isn’t that going against everything he’s known? To not care about what anyone thinks of him because at the end of the day, everyone leaves regardless? Angel Dust is a perfect example of being conditioned to this toxic, negative mindset he’s built for himself every day and we especially see more of this when it comes to his work with Valentino.
Now Angel is a celebrity, the most famous porn star in all of hell. Of course, due to his natural charisma and good looks, all eyes are drawn to him. He’s expected to essentially “put on a show” and show off what he’s “good for” because who could resist the seductive, charming Angel Dust? But that’s the cruel irony behind it all. Angel’s perception of his pornstar persona overshadows the reality of his true self, which makes it easy for him to push people away and not let anyone see the real him. He’s bred to allow people to chase after him, lust after him, because that’s the embodiment of who Angel Dust is, not who Anthony is. Angel Dust doesn’t care if people “leave” him because he knows that one way or another, there’s always someone else who will appreciate him for his “talents”, who will shower him with the desire and attention he so desperately seeks, despite it being superficial. But Anthony? No one knows who that is nor anyone would care to know who Anthony is in Angel’s mind, so rather than reveal his true thoughts, he decides to remain silent and keep them hidden from the public view as a way to protect himself.
Easy they come, easy they go
I jump from the train, I ride off alone
I never grew up, it’s getting so old
Help me hold on to you
Now, these second set of lyrics go a little more in-depth about Angel’s personal life and relationships. The first line expresses how easily he attracts people and yet still drives them away. The second one, however, can be explored through both a platonic and a romantic perspective. In a platonic lens, Angel struggles with making real, genuine friends (other than Cherri) because he’s afraid no one will be interested to get to know him. The same thing can be said in a romantic point of view. Angel loves to flirt, yes, but with his pornstar persona, he over-amplifies it and makes it seem like he’s “on board” in the beginning, but in the slightest sense of any seriousness or vulnerability, he “jumps off”, going his own way because he knows he’s unable to commit. This third line takes a look into how Angel is associated with being the “black sheep” of his family. Despite his somewhat childish nature, Angel’s always causing trouble and has never been the more focused, responsible type like his older brother: Arackniss. But due to these specific family dynamics, this shows how Angel feels like he’s never taken seriously with his true self. And because of that, he doesn’t understand how to grow and mature enough as a person to handle long-term relationships. The last line here can be portrayed as Angel’s inner thoughts and feelings towards his future love interest in the series: Husk. Angel is so used to giving up and running away from the idea of real love because of his own sexual abuse and trauma from Valentino. But throughout his whole afterlife, Husk is the only good man who respects and values Angel for who he truly is and despite how nice yet unfamiliar that feeling is, Angel’s terrified of losing it. Therefore, these lyrics can imply how he’s pleading for Husk to help him stay grounded and focus on exploring and pursuing this new relationship with him.
I’ve been the archer, I’ve been the prey
Who could ever leave me, darling? But who could stay?
In the chorus, we can start to see the lyrics become even more personified towards Angel’s life. He’s been hurt by so many people, yet he’s also his own worst enemy because he’s done the same thing to those who he cares about too, ultimately straining or damaging the relationships as a whole. He wonders why no one would want to stay in his life, but deep down, he knows that he doesn’t make it easy for people to love him either. So in order to change that, he needs to believe in himself and trust that he can make a positive effort towards becoming better.
Dark side, I search for your dark side
But what if I’m all right, right, right, right here?
And I cut off my nose just to spite my face
Then hate my reflection, for years and years
Within the next verse, we can connect back to how Angel’s toxic mindset has made a profound impact on himself and his relationships. There’s a big part of him that’s always subconsciously searching for the negative aspects of letting people into his life, and that in itself, is what overpowers his psyche into not recognizing and acknowledging the positive facets as well. These next few lines can be referenced to how he strives to maintain his pornstar persona. The whole concept of Angel Dust is for him to be as appealing and desirable to everyone no matter what because that’s what the public likes to see. But unfortunately, what Angel doesn’t comprehend is that he doesn’t need to overemphasize this “mask” of his because the real, genuine people in his life (such as Molly, Charlie, Cherri, Husk, etc.) love and accept him for who he is internally rather than externally. This lack of understanding can also drive him to act impulsive with his emotions and lash out towards the people he deeply cares about, thereby causing him to feel hatred towards himself and regret the decisions he’s made later on.
I wake in the night, I pace like a ghost
The room is on fire, invisible smoke
And all of my heroes die all alone
Help me hold on to you
The metaphorical meaning behind these next lyrics can connect to how empty and restless Angel feels when he’s by himself. We know that he suffers intense nightmares and drug hallucinations from Valentino, but in this next line: “The room is on fire, invisible smoke”, this allows us to dive deeper into his inner troubles and the emotional turmoil and chaos he’s experiencing from it. He’s known to “burn bridges” and “start fires” with others because like I stated previously, he believes everyone will leave him eventually, so as a result, he shuts people out as a way to cope with this depression and loneliness, knowing that it’s still his fault.
I’ve been the archer, I’ve been the prey
Screaming, who could ever leave me, darling? But who could stay?
Here we have the main chorus again, but what’s different is that the word “screaming” is used. This allows us to really see and feel the intensity behind Angel’s emotions. It can almost be viewed as if he’s “crying out for help” and begging for someone, ANYONE, to reach out and stay there with him.
Cause they see right through me
They see right through me
They see right through
Can you see right through me?
They see right through me (2x)
I see right through me (2x)
This next sequence of lyrics is pretty self-explanatory, especially regarding Angel’s famous reputation. Based upon his story arc so far, the internal struggles and hardships Angel has faced throughout life and death have definitely taken a toll on him. Even though he aims to portray this glamorous, charming pornstar personality, characters like Husk can see right through Angel pretty easily and have no issue in calling him out for how fake he’s being. This not only makes Angel very hyper-aware of his mask “slipping away”, but also adds on an extra layer of anxiety and panic he’s feeling from losing control of that facade.
All the king’s horses, all the king’s men
Couldn’t put me together again
‘Cause all of my enemies started out friends
Help me hold on to you
The first line here is a clear reference to the nursery rhyme, Humpty Dumpty, but the next few lines are what really emphasize Angel’s character even more. Angel is not an easy guy to get along with. He knows he can be an asshole and because of that, he’s made many enemies who could’ve potentially stayed as friends in his life if he didn’t push them away. But that doesn’t make him feel as if he’s alone right? After all, Angel Dust is fulfilled with receiving “love” from clients, fans, and Valentino all the time, so that has to mean something, right? This particular mindset is what fuels Angel to continue craving that form of infatuation and attention because it’s what he surrounds himself with every day. However, once that “high” dies down, who does he have waiting there for him at home? No one, because in reality, he IS alone and that terrifies him even more due to the fact that he’s the reason behind these self-destructive tendencies.
I’ve been the archer, I’ve been the prey
Who could ever leave me, darling? But who could stay?
(I see right through me, I see right through me)
Who could stay? (4x)
You could stay
Combat, I’m ready for combat
These final lines of the song play a significant role in how Angel’s perspective on love can change for the future. Like I’ve said prior, Angel has never had anyone show real, genuine interest in him before, that is, until he met Husk. Husk has made it very clear in the beginning that he doesn’t like putting up with anyone’s bullshit. While his gruff, no-nonsense exterior may be off-putting to others, Angel is very attracted to how real Husk is in expressing how he feels and that is exactly the kind of person Angel needs in his life right now. Over some time throughout the series so far, we start to see a closer relationship develop between the two as well, how fond and comfortable they are of each other. This scares Angel because like all of his other relationships and his current predicament with Valentino, he’s afraid that Husk will voluntarily leave or be taken away from him forever. So in order to avoid that, Angel is determined to do everything he can to keep Husk a permanent part of his life.
Overall, Angel is well aware that he’s not an easy person to love, but with Husk, he feels as if he could be the one to truly understand and accept him for who he is. That maybe, and hopefully, Husk will be the one to stay for good❤️
A/n: yalll,, this is soo fucking long I’m so sorry😭 but I absolutely love these two with all my heart, literally on my hands and knees like this 🧎‍♀️🧎‍♀️🧎‍♀️ but anywaysss I really hoped you enjoyed it just as much as I loved writing it🥰 PLEASE give me all the feedback you have! Hermitclan Warriors- First Half!
I said I'd release them all at once, but there are a LOT of hermits, so take the first half of the Warriors!
Tumblr media
Rotblaze (A.K.A Cleo)
Rotblaze is a strong and confident senior warrior with a bit of a temper. She has a specific moral code and has at times deemed it to guide her despite any conflicts with Warrior code. Kind of a loner, but still fiercely protective of her own as long as she herself can still feasibly get out of trouble. She dabbles with the scrap tinkering but primarily uses it to make strange art pieces rather than being a tinkerer.
Tumblr media
Falsestrike (A.K.A False)
Fiercely protective, loyal and brave, Falsestrike is often on the front lines in battle. Known to be one of the best fighters in Hermitclan, a legacy she hopes to pass down to her apprentice, Deerpaw.
Tumblr media
Impdapple (A.K.A Impulse)
Impdapple is a kind warrior who tends to play by the code, as well as being fairly easy going, he's close friends with Flametuft and often uses his contraptions to help train his apprentice, Flutterpaw.
Tumblr media
Wrendog (A.K.A Ren, credit to @smoozie for the name!)
Strong, fierce and prideful, Wrendog often finds himself desiring places of power, to be in the front lines of battle and general fame. He's more traditional as far as his skill goes, however, focusing primarily on hunting or fighting rather than tinkering.
Tumblr media
Mossfur (A.K.A Bdubs, @smoozie thought of the same name as me this time lol)
A small, fluffy tom who seems rather child-like at times, a sweet heart with sudden explosions of anger all said in a voice that makes others often laugh it off or quote it. Often he doesn't let this get to him though. He's mentor to Peacepaw, and surprisingly good at it.
Tumblr media
Cubfur (A.K.A Cub)
A smart warrior who knows the ins and outs of the clan very well, usually very reliable.
Tumblr media
Silverfox (A.K.A Etho)
A smart senior warrior who used to be a great fighter before his depth perception was thrown off because of injury. Now he's known as a tinkerer for Hermitclan, often lending a paw to Flametuft's bizarre contraptions or helping out where he can.
Tumblr media
Sunfeather (A.K.A Grian)
Mischevious, and surprisingly smart in a way that is often seen as a double edged sword thanks to his pranks, Sunfeather is another more traditional warriors if only because he seems too often mess up tinkerers work if he tries. He has a rather good representation among his clan, with being trained by Voidstar and looking out for them all. Adopted older brother of Flutterpaw and mentor to Patchpaw.
Tumblr media
Burstscar (A.K.A Doc)
One of the examples of an expert tinkerer, Burstscar can often be seen working on something, usually it's insane but it doesn't often help the clan in any active way. he achieves all his other duties though, so nobody can complain. Got his scars from an explosion while he was working.
Tumblr media
Scarheart (A.K.A Scar)
A kind warrior who was born with lame hind legs, and thus got his training fairly late. At first he was training under Stressleaf to be a medicine cat but after the tinkers made him a mobility aid he exists in some weird in-between where he helps with both but isn't quite either. Surprisingly good at hunting and fighting despite the limitation.

Since I'm lore dumping, here's some secret lore from the Gothicverse that I never got to explore in depth.
What is a Misery? To the unknowledgable, they may seem like shape shifters, but they actually use psychic illusion! They're always in their monster form, and distort your perception to appear more human. Using their illusion is costly and exhausting to them, so they don't usually fully infiltrate human society and drop their illusion once it's time to attack.
Their reverberating voice is a result of their psychic powers invading your mind. When they eat you, they also eat your memories and use them to create better illusions to seem more human.
Miseries typically only live less than five years, but they reproduce quickly. They spawn from underground Mycelium networks when it's unusually damp or foggy in an area where the Mycelium has spread. When they're born, they come with a set of pre-developed langauge and identities, that's why they look like siblings and so many of them have the same first name.
All the Miseries named "Jack" originate from the same Mycelium, but aren't loyal to one another and will attack and decieve one another when competing for the same prey.
They're called Miseries because they lure their prey into isolation by crying. They also stream tears from their faces constantly when their true form is revealed. When attacking and killing they make vocalizations oddly similar to human weeping, even though they are thoroughly enjoying themselves.

Eve’s Curse ( part 2)
Aemond Targaryen/Reader/Jace Velaryon
Tumblr media
Summary: In paradise, you and Jace live peacefully until a fallen angel disturbs the peace.
Warnings: nsfw, fem!reader,
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Bringing Jace into partaking of the flesh of the hanging fruit, colored like the deepest crimson, was a task easily accomplished with your guiding presence. Despite being blessed with godlike attributes, his mortal nature meant that he knew the concept of surrender well. This was the mutual understanding shared between you and Jace. Submissive inclination seemed to flow within both of you.
And then there was Aemond, resplendent with flowing locks of ethereal silver and wings that towered above even his own form, was more than just a purveyor of pleasure–he offered enlightenment of the mind as well.
“The Gods desire you subservient, feeble. Have you forgotten Baela, Jace? She defied the act of submission, and thus she descended into the depths of darkness.”
Aemond's voice resonated with fervor as he cast his eyes downward, his expression tinged with sorrow.
“Thrown from divine favor, scorned as a demon, Baela's fate was cruelly born.”
Jace's brows furrowed as a wave of recollection washed over him, bringing back memories of his first companion, Beala. The gods held disdain for Beala's unwavering strength and authority, resulting in her sudden vanishing.
Perplexed, you peered at Aemond, searching for answers, before turning your gaze towards Jace, your confusion evident.
The fallen angel glided towards you, his face adorned with a sad but knowing smile. He conveyed a depth of understanding, as he spoke with a voice that carried both lament and compassion. His words cascaded from his lips like notes from a melancholic melody, and his eyes gleaming with wisdom borne of countless ages.
“You, woven with threads of vulnerability and humility, your very form shaped at an angle unfamiliar. But know this: the clay that birthed your being was diluted and diluted again, like vessels tainted with the weight of shame. They believed a woman should forever dwell in the shadow of a man, confined to a space predetermined. Can such a twisted perception ever be called love?”
Aemond knelt down before the two of you, his hair grazing the ground. He stared intently at you both, his sudden movement catching you off guard. However, without skipping a beat, he continued speaking.
“I, once the brightest star in the heavens, have fallen to the earth below. My flames flicker weakly, my radiance dimmed. Once favored like you, I am now banished to hell. And yet, I humbly bow to your will, ready to assist you as an equal.”
You and Jace exchanged empathetic glances as you observed him, filled with compassion.
“They unjustly ripped away my eye from me in a mere instant, a casualty of a thoughtless dispute.”
You lowered yourself to a kneeling position too, embracing Aemond's visage in your hands. Though a gentle burn danced upon your skin, there was an intoxicating, pleasurable quality to the sensation. It was a blissful torment, a pain that brought an exquisite sense of satisfaction.
His melodious hum filled the air, reverberating through your core as his fingertips caressed your forearms. Each stroke was a tender invitation, a delicate dance between touch and sound that conveyed a profound connection between you.
Aemond placed his fingers on your chin, drawing you closer until your lips met in a deep kiss. His tongue danced with yours, exploring the depths of your mouth in a passionate and intimate embrace.
When the angel's lips parted from yours, a gentle sigh escaped you. You kept your eyes closed, basking in the intoxicating feeling of his touch. Your lips, still pursed in a silent plea, yearned for the return of his soft caress.
Aemond smiled, his eyes meeting Jace's, an impish glint shining within them. With confident playfulness, he spoke, his voice carrying a delightful anticipation.
“Come, Jace. I want you to have a taste as well.”
The air crackled, bearing an enticing invitation that hinted at shared desires and intimate discoveries. In that instance, the world seemed to fade away, leaving only the three of you poised on the precipice of an exhilarating journey into uncharted territory.
Jace's heart raced as he watched the two of you, already feeling a surge of pleasure. Beads of sweat traced their way down his forehead, and he eagerly accepted the invitation to join in.
“Go ahead, Jace,” Aemond encouraged. “Kiss her and let her see just how much she means to you.”
You broke out into giggles, pulling Jace down to the ground. Your lips met his neck, trailing kisses along his skin and then down to his chest, indulging in a gentle bite on his hardened nipple. Jace's mouth parted, unable to contain the raw, guttural moan that erupted from deep within him. His eyes were squeezed shut, tightly clenched.
“What's happening to me, Aemond?” Jace rasped, his voice both vulnerable and filled with longing as he sought understanding.
With silent grace, the angel didn't utter a word, but extended a hand towards you, guiding your fingers to Jace's hard cock. The angel's touch was both gentle and commanding as they guided your hand in smooth, deliberate strokes, coaxing waves of bliss to wash over Jace.
Before Jace could finish, Aemond interjected, pulling your palm away from its place.
“Sweet thing,” Aemond murmured, his breath warm against your skin, “let him squirm. Don't let him take his satisfaction so easily, for he hasn't earned it. You deserve more, don't you?”
The tantalizing proposition hung in the air, inviting you to partake in a game of desire and control. Aemond's words ignited a primal instinct within you, prompting a delicious and exhilarating power shift, where you could tease and deny Jace's pleasure, ensuring every moment was savored to the fullest.
“Yes, you're right,” you murmured, your voice barely audible. Without hesitation, you took Jace in your mouth.
Aemond's voice carried a sinister edge as he said, “Indeed, like so… and when his trembling resumes, simply let it slip from your grasp.”
Jace's face was obscured by the weight of his sweat-soaked brown curls. While he was desperate for any kind of relief, he found it difficult to listen to the both of you. Unbeknownst to him, the plans to subject him to torture went unheard, leaving him oblivious to the impending ordeal.
The relentless torment went on unabated, pushing Jace to the limits of endurance. His cock turned a fiery red, its skin worn and raw from the ceaseless friction and pressure, throbbing with a mixture of anticipation and pain. As Jace's tormented mumbling and desperate struggles persisted, Aemond, compelled to restrain him for his safety, resorted to a forceful yet strategic measure. Aemond secured both of Jace's hands, rendering them helpless, pressed against the unyielding ground. Despite the restriction, Jace's body stayed to writhe and contort.
“Please, I implore you, put an end to this,” he cried out, his voice filled with desperation.
Aemond reached out, his fingers brushing against his cheek, and whispered in his ear,
“Yes, I think we ought to do that, Jace. I think it's your turn now. How do you need her? On all fours? Or would you rather taste her?”
Jace's eyes narrowed with a smoldering intensity.
“I want her on all fours,” he asserted, his voice filled with possession.

Wavell Bios!
Note: mild spoilers in the post for events that happen throughout the Wavell storyline. This post is subject to changes and updates in the future so I’ll try and keep you all informed if it happens. That may simply be extra details I want to add in most of the time however I’m also planning on adding a full Mr Wavell Timeline in the near future to make it easy to read all the Wavell stories in chronological order. I’ll probably make a post about that when I get around to it but for now enjoy the extra info I’ve given here on the different forms of Mr Wavell!
———
Name - Mr Wavell
Also know as - Wavell, Christopher, Chris, Kyle, Oliver, The Warlock
Origins
Mr Wavell is a being who originated from a universe where magic is the foundation. There are Wizards and Warlock’s all around and he’s one of them. Only he’s a little different. Unlike most magic users he was born with magic capabilities that were god-like. Light years ahead of any other warlock. Because of this he was feared greatly as a child and teen by all that knew of his power. After 18 years worth attempts to keep him locked up, he escaped to another universe by using his immense power to open a dimensional hole. Despite that his original body was still decaying due to not being able to handle his overwhelming magic. It would’ve only been a matter of time before his own power consumed him whether he liked it or not. That is until he stumbled across a body that was perfectly synced with his magic...
Wavell goes slightly more in depth about his past and where he comes from in ‘Mr Wavell - Origin’ and ‘Transforming the Teacher’
Tumblr media
Oliver Wavell - Former Body
A body that originally belonged to an middle aged man working as a teacher at a local high school. After feeling a certain connection his magic had to the teacher’s body, the young warlock took the first opportunity he and stole Oliver’s body after absorbing the older man’s soul. After that he decided to let go of his former life and take on the name of Oliver Wavell instead. Now with this new healthy and stable body, Wavell is capable of using his powers to their fullest extent and in theory could even now be immortal. After this Wavell would go on to create a separate pocket dimension for himself which at first was an empty void until he created a huge mansion to sit in said void. A place he would hence forth call his home.
This is the very first version of Mr Wavell readers are introduced to. His existence is first eluded to in the story ‘Toby Wished’ and is formally introduced with a much bigger spotlight in ‘Adam and Mr Wavell’. It’s here you’ll get your first glimpse into who Oliver Wavell is. He’s an incredibly powerful entity who loves inserting himself into the lives of unsuspecting men for the sake of his own entertainment. He tends to seek out men who have some sort of deep seated desire to change in some way and Wavell is happy to bring those desires to life (usually) free of charge. He demonstrates to abilities to effortless transform the bodies and minds of those around while also being able to alter their perceptions of reality. He can even freely move souls from one body to another and so much more. Why? Well when he took the body of Oliver Wavell he adored the sensation of becoming someone totally new. So much so he became obsessed with the idea and would soon find an endless thrill in doing the same to other men.
In this form Wavell can be see wearing business casual attire and tends to come off as polite and somewhat charismatic, traits he absorbed from the original Oliver. He’s very generous towards those he uses his magic on, often giving them a body they’ve always desired. However on the odd occasion his actions of helping on individual may leave another in peril. Once again the first example of this being ‘Adam and Mr Wavell’. This fact doesn’t seem to bother Wavell all that much as he’s more focused and bringing joy and pleasure to his initial chosen target. It is unspecified how much time Wavell spends in this form. One can assume years but given the absorption of Oliver’s mental age and maturity, it’s hard to say for sure.
Sexually this version of Wavell is very versatile. After taking Oliver’s body, Wavell slightly enhanced his cock by making it incredibly fat and girthy while also increasing this size of his ass slightly to make it nice and pert. He thoroughly enjoys gay sex of any kind whether he’s getting fucked or doing the fucking. He just loves cock and ass at the end of the day.
Later down the line however, without spoiling too much, Wavell is convinced by his new boyfriend (who first appears in ‘Transforming the Teacher’) to consider looking for a new body that’s just as in tune with his magic and soul as Oliver’s is. Just in case there may be something out there that’s even more his taste than the beautiful Oliver. Wavell accepts this and eventually finds himself not just one but two new bodies. Chris and Kyle.
Find out more about this in ‘Wavell’s Birthday Surprise’ and ‘A Warlock’s Duality’
Tumblr media
Chris Wavell - Current Body (main)
Also known as Christopher. A body that belonged to a man of a similar age to Oliver whose original name was Christopher Malroy. He’s adorns short silver hair that’s always immaculately styled as well as salt and pepper designer stubble. He was the owner of a large and well renowned art museum and was known for both his incredible taste in art and fashion. After it was discovered that he was a match for Wavell, the warlock wasted no time kidnapping Chris and taking him back to the mansion where he, alongside Kyle (more info below) were both absorbed by Wavell in a splendid display. After this, Wavell has access to both bodies. He could effortlessly transform into either Chris or Kyle at will.
As Chris he almost completely adopts the attitude of the man whose body he’d taken. This comes with many of the traits he had as Oliver only further amplified. He speaks and thinks in a very intelligent and calculated manner the majority of the time while also exuding an almost irresistible level of charisma that could charm almost anybody. This goes well with his exceptional patience and willingness to do things in very meticulous fashion. He’s confident and driven but also has begun to develop a bit of a superiority complex due to how air headed the original Chris could be. This frequently leads this version of Wavell to believe that he’s simply above those around him and doesn’t often think of the people he experiments on as anything besides his playthings. He will however try his best to come off as humble and caring to hide his true nature a little and will fake caring about his subjects more than his actually does. All that said however he does still have a very real and genuine love for his boyfriend that isn’t dampened by his feelings superiority even if he does occasionally think of his boyfriend to be lucky for having him.
It also becomes very apparent that Wavell seems to adopt Chris’ sense of style whenever he’s using this form. Chris was a man of very expensive taste so in turn Wavell became the same. Always wanting to wear most designer looking clothes that are perfectly tailored to his body shape no matter the occasion. Either that or gorgeous looking and perfectly fitted suits that make him stand out in a crowd. When he’s not out changing unsuspecting men for fun he can frequently be found roaming the streets in some of his most fancy clothings just so people can admire him. His newfound sense of narcissism that came with the body seems to enjoy it when strangers on the street check him out and compliment him on his looks and fashion sense. He deserved it after all. It’s also worth noting that Wavell decided to grow out Chris’ stubble in this form in favour of a short and well groomed beard that he takes a lot of pride in.
As a lover this version of Wavell can be far more dominant than his previous self. When having sex with his boyfriend Dane he insists on being the top about 80% of the time because he loves to be in control and to feel as though he’s superior sexually as he shoves his cock inside the other man. However it isn’t too uncommon for Dane to convince this version of Wavell to bottom for him from time to time. The two do also have sex outside their relationship with other men and in these cases Wavell almost never bottoms. In almost every case outside of Dane, Chris Wavell is the one getting his dick sucked or slamming it into another guy. However there may be an extremely rare occasion here and there where he might consider bottoming for the right guy.
Between the two forms that Wavell gains from Chris and Kyle, he tends to be seen more often using Chris as his main body. He feels as though Chris is a slightly closer representation of who he truly is.
Tumblr media
Kyle Wavell - Current Body (casual)
Unlike the other bodies Wavell has taken host to, this body is much younger. Only being around 27 years old as opposed to Chris and Oliver who were both in their 40’s before being taken over by Wavell. The original owner was Kyle Malroy, a passionate IFBB Pro who spent half his life in the gym trying to get as huge as possible. A goal he was certainly achieving with how gigantic he’d gotten over the years. Just like Chris however it was soon discovered that Kyle was in fact another match for the powerful warlock. And just like Chris he too was kidnapped by Wavell where he was taken back to the mansion and absorbed alongside Chris.
As previously mentioned Wavell can switch freely between looking like Chris or Kyle but when he does so his personality changes dramatically to fit whichever form he’s deciding to use. When he becomes Kyle, Wavell adopts more of a bro-like attitude that’s far less formal than his previously mentioned forms. Even though deep down he’s still very intelligent, he can’t help acting like a total meathead half the time. Despite this he doesn’t lose an inch of his charisma and is able to charm people just as easily as Chris. However, partly due to his more youthful personality, Kyle Wavell can often be very impulsive, brash and impatient. This can sometimes lead to him going a little overboard with his experiments or making small mistakes when casting spells that can leave unintended results. This is demonstrated very clearly for the first time in ‘The Homo Bomb’ series. He is however just as confident as ever in this form but doesn’t have quite as much of a superiority complex as Chris does and frequently enjoys being seen as a normal dude when he’s out and about. He may also come off as a little more playful and/or immature than Chris at times.
It’s most common to find this version of Wavell wearing some kind of gym attire such as shorts, joggers, a tank top, a tight fitted t-shirt or anything else perfect for working out in. This is partially for comfort as unlike his other forms he does like to wear fancy or formal clothing and partially due to him spending a ridiculous amount of time working out in this body. It isn’t even something he has to do as his magic can prevent his muscle from getting any smaller but he still gets this burning desire to lift that he just can’t ignore whether it be in the home gym he contrasted in the mansion or out in a real world gym. He enjoys going to real world gyms a lot of the time however because he just can’t help showing off his massive bulging muscles in this form. He’s just as much of a narcissist for his good looks in this form as he is when he’s Chris only he’s a lot less subtle about it when he’s Kyle. Always flexing his gargantuan biceps in the gym for all to see. Taking off his tank top mid workout so those around him could admire his perfect physique. Bouncing his pecs with giving a wink to anyone that stops to look. Total fucking meathead.
Like his other variations, Kyle Wavell loves sex and he can be a total muscle slut when it comes down to it. He’s more like Oliver in the sense that he’s completely versatile. A big hunky himbo that just loves to fuck. His narcissism does seep through a little however when he’s constantly showing off during sex and telling whoever he’s fucking to grope and admire his muscles both before, during and after sex. Being told he’s a hulking muscle god gets him going like nothing else. He loves slamming his thick cock into any hot hole he can find, especially Dane’s, just as much as he loves tempting another cock into jackhammering his own big muscle butt. Because he knows they can’t resist him.
As mentioned Wavell doesn’t use Kyle as frequently as he does Chris. He views Kyle as being more of an escape to his usual self. A way to break free and be something a little different. To really enjoy embodying the idea of being young, dumb and full of cum. Especially considering his Chris form is so much more mature. It’s just nice for Wavell to switch to a more youthful and much beefier body from time to time where he can let himself be a little more relaxed.

Izuku Midoriya and confronting a complicated past— an analysis
With the upcoming arc in the anime about to come after next week’s episode, I think that it’s important to talk about Izuku as a character, and everything that has led him to this moment and this particular arc in the series. While there is a lot going on in that Kid’s head, most of the things that directly cause Deku to act the way he does during his vigilante time has been left unsaid and up to the reader to pick up on. This could be seen as sloppy writing, but it could also be seen as a great use of subtlety to create a slow downward spiral for our protagonist that can be incredibly rewarding for readers who take the time to do some extra sleuthing. So before the arc begins, and before the inevitable controversy on whether or not the arc was rushed or came out of nowhere, how about we take a close look at Izuku Midoriya as a character and his depth that is often ignored. Let’s take a peek at how his entire arc is filled with tragedy, hope, and the importance of confronting one’s past. Sit back, grab a snack, and enjoy my first in depth BNHA analysis where I hope to give manga readers who are currently watching the anime some added perspective. Also disclaimer: I love all the characters in this series and will not be bashing on any of them, as I feel as though it would be undermining the messages of the story and the depth of the characters. Nothing I say is meant to be putting down any characters and I am not blaming any single character for Izuku’s struggles. All fans of any characters are safe and welcome to enjoy this.
At the beginning of the series during the very first line from our protagonist, which is something that is supposed to help the audience understand the type of story they are about to read— Izuku says “people are not born equal”. He also states that he learned that fact at the young age of four years old. From the very beginning, Deku was made to believe that he is less than everyone else. Less than those with quirks, and therefore less of a human. Quirks, literally translated from Japanese, mean individuality. To be quirkless, in the eyes of MHA’s society, is to be without a soul. Or at least, that is what can be understood by a small child who simply wants to belong. Therefore, deku internalizes form a young age that he inherently has less value as a quirkless boy, and such internalizing severely damages his perception of himself for the rest of the series. He’s a useless deku that does not have much to contribute. However, during the very same first scene we also see Izuku fighting back against the kids trying to beat him up. Despite the odds stacked against him, Izuku midoriya is determined to prove himself. He’s determined to prove to others, and to himself, that he has value. He is also determined to keep moving forward despite society seemingly turning him away. But children need time to process their emotions. They need time to learn and talk through the issues they’re facing. Izuku does not do that. He keeps fighting, he keeps wanting to be a hero, but he doesn’t talk to any adult around him about how he feels. He doesn’t get told that he is perfect the way he is, or that he doesn’t have to prove anything. What happens when such insecurities and trauma are not given the space to heal at an early age? Well let’s move forward a few years…
Tumblr media
When Deku meets all might, and demonstrates his innate and pure heroism when he runs to save Bakugo from the sludge villain, he is offered a once an a lifetime chance: One For All. He is told that he can become a hero, and is aided in training to use the quirk and get into UA. By this point, Izuku’s self esteem issues that stemmed from his childhood and the the perception of quirklessness that was placed upon him by the world around him have only grown. He wants to be a hero, but he also has become quiet and reserved, as he thinks of himself more as an afterthought. He wants to help people, because he cares and he is a kind hearted individual, but also because he want to be useful. He has to be a useful hero, but how? The quirk of One For All thus represents a way to be useful in the way that Izuku thinks is correct, which is by being a quirked individual. So what happens when you give a kid with extreme self esteem issues, and who views himself as flawed for simply being himself, a very powerful quirk along side the opportunity to become a hero? That child latched onto the quirk like a lifeline. They have to make good use of their new quirk; they have to utilize the blessing granted to them or else they will remain useless and will be left behind. Izuku will work hard to earn his quirk because he feels as though he is unworthy, even though he already proved himself the second that his body moved on its own. Therefore, the second Izuku is given his quirk, he begins the cycle of using it as an unhealthy coping mechanism and source of validation. He is more hopeful than ever when given the quirk, but his unhealthy mindset is also given the power to run rampant. This is the story of a boy becoming the greatest hero he says, so early on in the series, but it also of a boy desperately trying to become more than he currently is, for better and for worse.
This then leads to the beginning of his time at UA, where Izuku, in addition to clinging onto his quirk as a replacement for his self esteem, begins reclaiming the meaning of his nickname Deku. “Deku is the name of a hero” he declares, and while taking back the power from his former bully and standing up for himself is an incredibly uplifting moment or Izuku in the beginning of the manga, there is another side of the coin that is the reclamation of Deku. Izuku Midoriya feels as though he has to be the new, hero Deku, or else there is nothing else worthwhile about him. He has to prove himself as a true hero or else he’ll have to go back to the old, useless Deku…He’ll forever be left behind. So, he breaks himself. Over, and over, and over again. The hero named Deku breaks his limbs time and time again, because if he doesn’t push himself to the brink, then he hasn’t done enough, and therefore he has failed the quirk that he was blessed with and failed the people who have helped him. The sentiment that he needs to hurt himself, or even nearly get himself killed, is incredibly concerning and could even be seen as suicidal ideology. Furthermore, this ideology creates an intense fear that follows Izuku wherever he goes, and even causes him to blame himself in scenarios where it’s not his fault at all, such as the summer camp arc where he was nearly killed by muscular, yet still beats himself up over Bakugo’s capture.
Tumblr media
Another development that occurs at the beginning of Izuku’s time at UA is the start of an insurmountable amount of pressure being placed on his shoulders. When Izuku first received One For All, he was told that he could use the quirk to achieve his dreams of being a hero. He knew nothing of its past, and was given no indication that he had to live up to it. Yet, during the tournament arc Allmight begins mentioning the idea of Izuku becoming the next symbol of peace. While an honor to have, being the number one hero and an international symbol was not what Izuku, a fourteen year old kid at the time of the sludge villian attack, signed up for. Yet, he takes on the responsibility with a nervous smile on his face, and the shadow of all might begins following him. Next, he learned about the horrifying figure that is All For One, and Izuku is told that he may have to fight him one day; He may have to fight someone that he had previously thought to be nothing more than an urban legend. The child who wanted to become a hero now has to be prepared to fight the demon lord. Moreover, these revelations begin the process of Izuku placing more and more pressure on himself to be the best hero possible. He cannot afford to make a mistake. He cannot afford to be useless, because the legacy of One For All demands that he be exceptional. Afterall, he’s the ninth user. Do the wants of Izuku Midoriya really matter more than the fate of the world?
During all of this, Izuku slowly becomes more comfortable with his quirk, and grows in confidence. He truly becomes equals with Bakugo and works with him to mend their relationship, and he also develops his shoot style in an effort to move away from imitating All might. These things are all possible development for Izuku’s character and also gradually take place as the series goes on. After so many years of being quiet, he finally opens himself up again; He opens himself up to love from his peers, and opens himself up to new experiences. He also becomes more willing to talk back to others, as demonstrated by his attitude towards Endeavor, and later his more frequent and friendly banter with Bakugo. However, the self esteem issues and insecurities never go away, and Deku still breaks himself every chance he gets. The pressure also still continues to build as Allmight retires, and Izuku becomes truly trapped in his role as the successor. He accepts his role, and is happy to be serving others, but Allmight’s retirement leaves a void that Izuku feels as though there is no one else left to fill but himself. There’s no backing out now, and Izuku’s quirk development now has to speed up or else he will never be able to fill that void. He also witnesses the might of All For One in person, and the nightmare of him having to face the demon lord becomes even more of a reality. Through all of this, Izuku still refuses to talk about his feelings with his peers or the adults around him, and instead he decides to keep marching forward without taking any time to let himself, or his mind, rest. The only sliver of hope for Izuku’s mental well-being is the fact that he still allows himself to cry. Therefore, the shadow of responsibility that followed Izuku morphs into a massive weight on his shoulders that helps to steer his development backwards and into character regression.
Tumblr media
Izuku’s mental health then takes a turn for the worst after the Overhaul arc, which was also a turning point for the series with its dark tone. As Izuku sees for himself the real horrors of the criminal underground, he once again blames himself for Eri’s circumstances and his inability to save someone. Through this experience, Izuku becomes so entrenched in the idea of becoming the perfect hero that he even begins denying himself the right to cry. He says that “heroes don’t cry”, and other characters such as Todoroki are shocked at the statement by their friend. Crying was one of Deku’s last healthy coping mechanisms, and he loses that too. Nighteye’s death cements this fact, as it is actually the last time that Deku sincerely cries in series, before the end of vigilante arc. All other times that he cries moving forward form this point are played off as gags, and thus Izuku represses his emotions to an extent that is even foreign to him, as someone who has been suppressing his emotions since he was a small child. It should also be noted that this arc highlight’s Deku’s uncertainty as a holder of One For All. This shows that no matter how much Deku’s confidence improves, he will continuously view himself as not good enough and fear the return of the former “useless” Deku. In addition, the overhaul arc also highlights Izuku’s loss of innocence. As I said before, Izuku is exposed to the true cruelties & horrors of the villian underground, but this development is not new. Dating back to the Stain arc, Izuku has been gradually losing more and more of his innocence. Even when he endured a very difficult childhood, Deku was at least able to told onto hope and be optimistic for the future, but being thrusted into the world of heroes takes the bright eyes boy and chips away at his soul. He keeps going, because as always he refuses to give himself time to heal, but the Izuku at the end of the Overhaul arc is not the same person as we was when he first enrolled in UA, and he never will be again. The fear, responsibility, and loss of innocence all culminate to send the mental health of Izuku Midoriya into a free fall, but he would never admit it. Instead, he keeps on smiling.
Tumblr media
We are getting close to the vigilante arc (I hope you’ve been enjoying this so far!), but one final significant development in Izuku’s mental state occurs during the Class 1-A and Class 2-A training session, where he is once again given responsibilities that he never asked for. At this point, Izuku’s confidence has grown exponentially, but on further inspection much of that confidence seems to be misplaced. You see, while Izuku becomes extremely confident in his use of One For All, he still remains insecure about himself as an individual. He still lives in fear of being useless, and constantly needs to prove himself. This is because Izuku Midoriya the individual is being slowly left behind, while the Deku the hero becomes comfortable with his quirk because if he can’t master his quirk then he has nothing. He is nothing… Then Blackwhip appears, and Izuku has to relearn his quirk even though he had already been working fro months to get to to the place he’s currently at. It feels like a slap to the face, but now that Izuku has now more formally met the vestiges, he’s given no choice but to accept his new quirks in addition to his role in “completing One For All,” as The 1st user puts it. Izuku Midoriya fades even more, the incredible amount of responsibility grows even more, and the hero Deku sees himself as nothing else but the ninth holder. Most of this understanding of Izuku’s mental state is not actually spoken of out loud in the manga/anime, but the context clues of the events leading up to this moment (as shown by all the writing before this), Izuku’s facial expressions, and the events afterward help strip away the smile that Izuku is so determined to keep on his face almost the entire arc and show high Izuku’s walls have grown around his internal anguish. Therefore, the metaphorical vault shown that Izuku uses to lock away his quirks is also used to lock away his emotions once and for all. The only leak in this facade that we have until the end of the vigilante arc is…
Tumblr media
Izuku’s character regression has already been set in stone by the time the war arc comes around, but what is important to note is how his repressed emotions manifest in the form of his intense rage. We’ve seen this before, with how Izuku becomes incredibly intimidating and unhinged during his fights with villains such as Muscular and Stain. All For One’s theme even plays in the anime as Izuku fights Overhaul to represent how monstrous he is int eh eyes of villains during battle. The difference during this arc is that other characters are finally catching on to just how toxic Izuku’s ideology has become. Bakugo in particular takes takes note of just how not ok it is for Izuku to not take himself into account, and shows visible concern while Izuku fights with Shigaraki in the air. Not only is Izuku being destructive to himself, but he also lashes out so harshly that is seems though he intends to kill Shigaraki in the moment. But to Izuku, he has no other choice. He is Deku, a hero, and the Deku who always does his best. Deku himself veery clearly states during this arc that he will no longer be the useless deku, and with that statement he resolves to kill the remnants of Izuku Midoriya, the quirkiness kid with bright eyes, himself. He cannot afford to be useless. He refuses. He will kill himself during this fight with Shigaraki if that’s what it takes to be a hero who saves everyone and a hero who is worthy of being the ninth holder of one for all. Finally, everything has come full circle, and the name Deku starts as something negative, then is given hope to become something positive, but then once again becomes a toxic image within Izuku’s life. That is why it is so important when Izuku is called by his first name in the vigilante arc— because Izuku Midoriya, both the quirkiness child and the current person, are deserving of love and have value beyond their quirk. Izuku is more than One For All, but unfortunately all of his repressed emotions that have been highlighted throughout this entire analysis have to explode out of him in order for him to heal. In addition, Deku and the repression of his emotions has led him to push everyone else away, even back when he was smiling nonstop. The war arc simply showcases ho bad that seclusion has gotten, and that when it comes down to it Deku will purposely exclude his peers in order to suffer alone.
Tumblr media
Izuku, in the vigilante arc, will simply be the ninth holder of One For All, whose only purpose and value lies in defeating All For One himself. Furthermore, at the center of this entire discussion, is the fact that Izuku is afraid of his past. All of his self esteem issues come from such a young age, and yet he does not know what else to do besides run from it. Izuku Midoriya is a character that is so defined by his past, yet is so desperate to escape it. Therefore, he will need to be reminded by his loved ones that the cycle of trauma that he has endured throughout his life does not have to continue. He can choose his own way. He is not shackled by his past, and thus healing is possible. It’s not too late, and all he needs is his friends to remind him of why he is loved for his heart, and not his quirk. Therefore there is no singular character that got through to Deku. All of 1-A saved the boy who was so desperate to save anyone but himself.
With that said…
Deku’s entire arc throughout the series leading up to the vigilante arc has been filled with regression, in the sense that the heros around him place more and more pressure on him to the point that he does not consider himself human, but rather a tool that has no value outside of One For All. This is the story of a boy that becomes the greatest hero, but also of a boy that was stripped of his innocence and beaten down by a system that rejected him since the beginning, yet he still dreamed of being a part of. The entire vigilante/villain hunt arc brings together all of the pent up pain and self-loathing that has been following him since the beginning of the series, and shows how everything that he’s been hiding has finally caught up to him. The pain and trauma that we see from Izuku in this arc was always there, and all it took was the war arc to trigger it to come forward. In conclusion, Izuku Midoriya is an extremely complicated character who has been on a fascinating downward spiral since the beginning of the series, and if readers can take the time to see how he got to where he is, then maybe we can at least better understand the context behind the vigilante/villain hunt arc, and the complexity behind My Hero Academia’s protagonist.

There's one thing I wanna ask Hori about the narrative that I'm surprised isn't talked about more.
Why weren't any of the characters allowed to question their society and heroes function as a whole?
Because when kids start off with hating heroes (Kota and those brats from the second movie), they're treated to be in the wrong and has to see how great heroes can be.
Which given the context that this is a society that turns a blind eye to it's corruption and how the minority suffers, it just comes across as putting rose tinted glasses on them to keep them away from the truly bad stuff.
Like, I get it with Kota, because his hatred of heroes stems from watching his parents die and believing they chose work over him, and that this hatred could grow into a problem later to where he might end up as a villain.
But at the same time, how come this didn't let Izuku to think about the society that shunned and berated him for being born different from everyone? How come no one else stop and think that this society is on the path to collapsing on itself if nothing is done?
In a story like this, characters should be allowed to question things around them and wonder if there's anything they can do make it more bearable for others, to seek out the change they wanna see so others wouldn't have to suffer like they did.
Kota is a great example, but I raise you Stain and the LOV.
Stain made sense. He went about it in entirely the wrong way, but he was right about false heroes and how much of a problem they were. But he's a murderous psychopath so we're supposed to take his words as out of touch rambling because he attacked Ingenium who was one of the good heroes.
(We're also given no proof. He says heroes are corrupt but we aren't shown why he thinks that and we don't see it beyond Endeavor. Even more reason not to take what he's saying seriously)
Hori could have really sold this by making Tensei perhaps not so virtuous. Maybe he had or started with good intentions but ended up contributing to toxic hero society in some way and Iida was blind to it because he was the big brother he admired. That would have made Tenya's character development hit harder in my opinion. Having Tensei confess this to Tenya would have made the Stain arc even better.
Which brings us to the LOV.
I feel like Hori forgot that Dabi and Toga also joined the LOV because of Stain, not just Spinner. They, on some level, absorbed his words and wanted what he did even if they were also fueled by other motives.
That's why a lot of Dabi's later character doesn't make a whole lot of sense. For those who knew he was Touya, it was implied that he was abused similarly to Shoto and was angry at Endeavor's treatment of his children. And then was inspired by Stain to call out his father as a false hero and take down the system that (indirectly) destroyed his family.
But no, he wants to kill Shoto, doesn't give a shit about Rei or Fuyumi, and almost got Natsu (the brother he was close to and presumably cared about) killed. And all to get back at Endeavor and make him suffer. Dabi's motives were a major let down and it reduces him to a one-dimensional villain, one who only wants to hurt people for the sake of hurting them. There's no hint of the influence Stain apparently had on him.
Toga is the same. She, presumably, admired Stain because of the similarities in their quirks. It's implied she joined the LOV to be with people like her (which is why she- as Camie- asks Izuku what kind of hero he wants to be, she's trying to see if he's one of those people). Who were outcasts and wanted to be able to do what they wanted with no persecution from others. She wanted to be free, even if she had a warped perception about what that meant. But over time, Horikoshi made her a creepy, predatory yandere type (seriously, what the fuck was the point of having her grope Uraraka??) with no depth to her actions.
Both Dabi and Toga never mention Stain or his ideals again. They're just psychopaths who need to be stopped. It dehumanizes them and uses mental illness for further antagonize them.
Spinner is the only one who still attempts to embody Stain's ideals. But of course, he never gets any focus. He's a "coward" who never stands up the the LOV (except when he stopped Magne from killing Izuku) even though he feels guilty about what they do. So most of the time, he isn't portrayed in a way that makes us stop and think. It's all too easy for the audience to dismiss or forget about him.
Anyone who (rightfully) questions or criticizes or openly despises the corrupt society in this universe is portrayed in a negative light. Even if what they're saying is technically right, we throw it away because they're doing something bad.
Really, there's only one character who's the exception. I'm, of course, talking about Lady Nagant.
Listen, me and Hori got beef all day everyday. BUT Nagant is one of the most exceptional characters I've ever seen in anime.
What I love about her is that she's someone who genuinely started out with good intentions and wanted to do the right thing but was torn down by society. It destroyed her from the inside out. The actions she took aren't even that extreme, they make sense considering everything she went through. Her problems with society aren't inane or hypocritical ramblings, she's 100% correct in her assessments because she was an unwilling participant in the corruption.
The problem with Nagant, however, is that she's with us for such a short amount of time that we don't get to take a deep dive here. We don't get to dissect why, exactly, society is so corrupt or find a solution to it.
It sucks because Hori was SO CLOSE to hitting the mark with Nagant. I think introducing her- or someone similar to her (missed opportunity with Hawks)- a lot sooner would have really improved the story
