brother to fushiguro tsumiki. (unofficially adopted) son to gojo satoru and you. nephew to a host of sorcerer uncles and aunts. (unwilling) assistant to the white-haired idiot. and, finally, ringbearer at your and gojo's still-undetermined wedding.
one teeny-tiny boy with one too many identity is what fushiguro megumi is - until he isn't. with lots and lots of sniffles and sniggers...

"yeah, yeah, i've got it all planned."
a discreet eye roll is all megumi gives as he goes through the menu card in his hands. a little distance away, he can spy tsumiki and you seated at a table, you tying his sister's long hair into braids while the latter laughs, probably at a joke you cracked.
a tiny smile rests on the little boy's face at the sight - which vanishes when he feels a large hand tousle his hair. you had spent hours and hours righting his hair into a proper shape; why must this idiot always mess everything up?
megumi looks up to find his guardian looking down at him with a shit-eating grin; though he can clearly see the nerves it's covering.
idiot.
phone wedged in between his ear and shoulder, gojo mutters a "one sec, suguru," and crouches down to the boy's eye level. the latter gives back an unimpressed stare.
"decided what you wanna have, 'gumi? remember mom and sis there asked you to choose for them today."
megumi feels an urge to say you two aren't his real parents - but stamps it down instantly. the both of you have been as good as real parents can be to their kids - or maybe even better. the boy has read books, watched movies and listened to his classmates talk about their families; the tiny urchin-head knows.
with a huff, he points at the double chicken fillet burger box - it's tsumiki's favourite and you too don't seem to dislike it. with a nod, gojo rises and placing his orders, returns to the call, beaming expression again directed at megumi.
"yeah, yeah, don't worry, man," he speaks into the phone, then drops his volume to a mere whisper, "'my little kiddo here is a born actor. he remembers the entire plan, step by step - don't you, buddy?"
megumi gives an imperceptible nod, itching back to get back to the table. he already would have - needless to say, the little munchkin prefers your company to gojo's, way way more - but their orders have not been delivered yet and the boy promised to be-
a little tap on the shoulder draws him from his musings and he cranes his neck up to find gojo frowning. "no, megumi didn't want to discuss the plan with me before leaving. no, he doesn't like you better- hey," the man looks at him, sunglasses sliding down the bridge of his nose revealing his indignant gaze, "you wanna discuss with uncle suguru one last time?"
an indifferent shrug is all the reply he gives.
while uncle suguru isn't the best uncle he has, he isn't the worst either. the others are- oh, wait. the others include uncle kento and uncle yu. they are literal angels compared to him. so... maybe... he is the worst... never mind. it's too late to back out anyways.
grumbling, gojo hands him the phone. "hello uncle," megumi greets just like you and tsumiki have taught him to. the man behind mutters something along the lines of ''traitor" or something; the boy pays him no mind.
"hey champ," the voice floats over the line, pleasant, kind and the way people talk to babbling babies. megumi's bored face turns irritated. "let's discuss the semantics one last time before boarding your flight, okay?"
"yeah, okay," megumi says, and casting a sideways glance at his bundle-of-nerves guardian, continues, "we're going to reykjavik," he looks at gojo, silently asking if he pronounced it correctly. the man sends him a thumbs-up with an encouraging grin.
the kid continues, "the plane will land at noon day after tomorrow, which is mom's birthday. first, we will go to the hotel. then, after resting, in the evening, we will head out in a car to watch the northern lights. and then-"
"-when it's the right moment, your dad will pop the question to your mom and you'll click the camera. got it, mr. future ringbearer?" finishing the rest of the sentence for him, the man at the other end asks, sounds of pans clacking and food sizzling in the background. nana-chan and mimi-chan must have woken up.
megumi nods. "yeah, got it, mr. future best man."
a chuckle comes in response to his comment. "you're a lot like your mom, y'know?"
"yeah," he mumbles, waving back to you and tsumiki, a little smile on his otherwise-impassive-but-always-adorable face, "i know."
"good," the man says, then pauses when a loud crash booms through the air and through the phone, a set of two wailing voices following it not soon after. megumi can quite literally picture the wincing frown his uncle is wearing as he says the next words in a hurry, "okay, 'gumi. talk to you later. bye, and best of luck! satoru's counting on his little assistant."
"yeah, thanks," he responds but is too late - the call is already cut by then.
giving the phone back to gojo, who's tapping his sneakers-clad feet on the floor, he looks back ahead, wondering when the hell heck their token number will be displayed and when they will get their food.
to the kid's great relief, it doesn't take a lot of time.
before long, the four of you are seated around the table, gojo stealing a sip from your drink and you stealing fries from him, all the while tsumiki giggles loudly at your antics. megumi smiles, before he hides it behind the burger which he takes a bite from.
the four of you really look like a family, don't you?
"hey, guys, can i have your attention for a sec, please?" your sudden question startles him from his mind. the boy turns to find you with your usual grin, albeit a smidgen of anxiety can be found in the way your fingers drum on the table.
megumi shares a look with tsumiki and gojo. they look as confused as he feels. "do i have your attention, people?" you ask again, manner growing a tad solemn unlike your usual, though the affection is still evident in your tone.
gojo and tsumiki nod immediately. you turn to him, gently smiling, "can i have your attention too, 'gumi? please?"
the boy nods his head instantly. "yeah, yeah. sure," he replies, scooting his chair closer to yours. you send him a relieved smile. "good, 'cause what i'm going to say next is very important. so, listen to me carefully, 'kay?"
all three of them are eager to nod in affirmation and anticipation.
scouring through your backpack, you retrieve a couple of pretty important-looking papers, and placing them back on the table, clasp your hands atop them. the kid spots gojo shoot you a worried look to which you respond with a reassuring smile.
the man's frown fades a little.
gaze now darting from one kid to another, you begin, "you two know, right, we love you very much?"
"yeah!" tsumiki exclaims, but is quick to fall silent when megumi shoots her a glare. you proceed, lips pressing into a thin line, "but we cannot adopt you two, in spite of how much all us want it to happen. we tried to, many, many times. but those higher-ups just won't let us do that."
a second passes - one wherein his young brain registers your words - before, lower lip wobbling, the boy casts his gaze down upon his light-up sneakers.
is this where you'll say he'll be sent to those zen'ins? away from his sister? away from you and gojo? away from all his uncles, aunts, nana-chan and mimi-chan?
megumi feels a hand card through his locks gently. looking up, he finds you with a soft smile. "but the thing is 'toru and i didn't let them defeat our purpose. we thought, you two can choose to be my clan's wards. not 'toru's, because of fucking - sorry, please forget i said that word - i meant, idiotic clan politics. so, what do you think?"
megumi turns to his sister, a pensive look plastered on her face the way it is on his. gojo adds, a tender smile in place of his usual stupid grin, "no pressure, kids. the both of us won't love you two any less and will be equally fine in case you choose not to."
"you guys can take how much ever time you need to think. there's no hurry," megumi hears you say, your warm hand rubbing circles on his back, as he turns back to his half-eaten burger.
a long moment passes.
passengers enter the cafeteria, they leave the cafeteria. the four of you remain seated, quietly munching on your food.
the boy finally removes his gaze from his now-empty tray and sends an inquiring, confused, hopeful look to his sister. tsumiki smiles back with a tiny nod. the little kid feels his heart burst with joy.
"we want to," the two of them answer in unison, and within a fraction of a second, megumi finds himself swept up in a warm hug alongside his sister, by you. "thank you for giving me, for giving us a chance," he hears you mutter quietly in a tear-choked voice. the boy simply pats your back the way you do to him. he soon feels another set of arms wrap around the three of you.
megumi thinks he has never felt happier or safer than in this moment.
a while passes with the four of you in this manner, enwrapped in an embrace, before you all finally pull away from each other.
the boy returns to his seat, rubbing his eyes. a minute passes in composing all of yourselves before you state, munching on another fry, "so, step one, including tsumiki and megumi into my legal family is done and successful. thank you, my loves."
tsumiki beams back at you; megumi returns a tiny smile. you grin at them - which, the kid watches, turns slyer as you switch your focus to your boyfriend.
the little boy stares at you, then stifles a snicker - he thinks he has a pretty good idea of what's gonna happen next. his gut instincts are rarely wrong, after all.
"but, 'toru..." you drawl, grin giving way to a smirk as gojo smiles back - perplexed but loving all the same. "for the step two, making you my legal family too, guess i need to wait to say 'yes' until the northern lights viewing two days later... don't i?"
a beat passes, then another, and another.
a loud gasp sounds from tsumiki. megumi turns to his dad - who's gaping wide-eyed at his mom now, the man's face whiter than his ugly hair - and smirks. just like the imp the goggles-wearing idiot always calls him at home, despite you repeatedly telling him not to.
gojo looks back at him, shock written on, engraved into his features.
"though i didn't really help you propose, i'm still the ringbearer, right?"

Opinions on platonic yandere bakugo with little sibling being a hero? (Kind of like Spider-Man type of vibe where they hid the fact that they were a hero)
I'm assuming you mean more of a vigilante, since if you were a hero, Bakugou would know.
You'd have to do your heroics while he was at school. Luckily, since he lives in the dorms and you do not (his fault, really), it's easy to don on your little costume and help out around the neighborhood.
And your neighborhood thinks it's so cute! Obviously the Bakugous live in some safe, gated community, so you mainly help get cats out of trees and help old ladies cross the street. It's a bit of an open secret on who you really are, but you aren't really breaking any laws because there have been no villains to engage.
Your parents really don't care, as long as you don't get hurt. They think it's sweet. You're jealous of your big brother, aren't you? He's saving the world, being a big and tough hero student and you're just the kid he left behind.
Well, until he incapacitated a general studies student, that is.
It was quick, simple really. All he did was injure enough to scar and bruise, hurt deep down so that they wouldn't dare speak up if they knew who did it and would want to leave absolutely immediately. Because he still finds it outrageous that you didn't get in and he's here to right that wrong.
Let's not mention that you never really wanted to go to U.A. Or be a government sanctioned hero. You just wanted to help your community any way you could while staying away from the brother that made you miserable.
But he sees you in the shitty spandex spider themed costume, saying you're webbing the community back together with a rudimentary support item he has no fucking clue how you got your hands on and instantly realizes how long you two have been apart. Because he would have never let you even attempt this shit.
And as he grabs you, wrapping his arm around your wait and holding on tight, he launches the two of you sky high. Higher and higher until the ground is nothing but a distant memory and you feel like your soaring, but not in the fun way you designed. No, this was freefalling stopped only by an explosion of energy catapulting you into another direction.
He lands onto his balcony of your parents home, mere kilometers away from where you were getting a child's cat out of a tree. And your breathing for your life. Heaving like the air could never be enough to satisfy the pit in your lungs.
"Playing pro hero, are you kiddo?" Katsuki grabs your wrist, squeezing it like a vice, "Want to save people like your big brother, don't you?"
You don't answer. You can barely process what he's saying.
"Quit it, you fucking idiot." He doesn't yell like he usually does. He's angry, but he's quiet. This is him at his most unstable, "I am not going to have some lowlife attack your ass thinking that they can get street points and only realize it's little ol' quirkless you."
Quirklessness. Katsuki's root cause for treating you like this. He's always seen himself as more, better than you and Izuku, all because he has a quirk and you two don't.
Didn't. You remind yourself. Deku's one of your brother's classmates. They were just interning at the same agency with the number one hero. Both of them, with magnificent quirks and you, trying to help the world any way you can.
"I'm taking you to U.A." Katsuki says, "We are going to talk to Nezu and you are going to reapply to U.A. Say that it was stupid of you to intentionally miss all of those questions and that all you want to do is go to school with your big brother, got it."
"How... How do you know about that?" Your breathing is rough. You're still trying to find your footing on solid ground, "Who told you that, Katsuki?"
"It's Kacchan," he says, "don't fucking forget it."
"Kacchan," you breathe, "don't do that again, please."
"I can say the same to you." He drags you into his bedroom, "C'mon. I have to make sure you don't have any injuries and help you study, since you pulled that stunt at the entrance exam."
"Alright, Kacchan." You are dragged behind him and sat carefully upon the edge of his bed, letting him do what he pleases. He always has your best interest at heart, even if you can't see it.
And besides, you'll be in two different courses. How much will you see him anyways?

Chapter 3
Determined not to let this staring contest that feels a little like a show of dominance go on any longer, I cast around for something to break the tension. And settle on a response to the only thing he’s actually said to me so far.
“Who’s got a nasty bite?”
So it went like this...
Mystery hot guy: She's got a nasty bite.
Grace: *staring at the hot guy for a sold five minutes and across 2 chapters*
Grace: Who?
“As long as you leave this school, it doesn’t matter to me if it hits you or not. I warned your uncle you wouldn’t be safe here, but he obviously doesn’t like you much.”
So what the hell is Uncle Finn supposed to do? “Sorry kiddo. I know that your parents died and orphaned you, but one of my students said 'no', so you're shit outta luck.”
The fact that I’m reacting so strongly to him when all he seems to feel for me is contempt is humiliating, so I take one trembling step back. Then I take another. And another. But he follows suit, moving one step forward for every step I take backward, until I’m caught between him and the chess table pressing into the back of my thighs.
You see, now I've been around the “fuck the feelings of men” team long enough that I'm screaming at her to pull out her canister of mace and spritz him in the face.
You don't walk up to a complete stranger, ONE THAT THIS GUY SEEMS TO KNOW HAS RECENTLY BEEN ORPHANED, and say shit like that to her.
“There’s not much to be afraid of when you’ve already lost everything that matters.”
He freezes at my words, his whole body tensing up so much that it feels like he might shatter. Even his eyes change, the wildness disappearing between one blink and the next until only stillness remains.
Stillness and an agony so deep I can barely see it behind the layers and layers of defenses he’s erected.
But I can see it. More, I can feel it calling to my own pain.
It’s an awful and awe-inspiring feeling at the same time. So awful I can barely stand it. So awe-inspiring that I can’t stop it.
So I don’t. And neither does he.
Instead, we stand there, frozen. Devasted. [sic] Connected in a way I can feel but can’t comprehend by our very separate horrors.
Okay, imagine this scene but the entire fucking chapter is like this.
“Keep your head down. Don’t look too closely at anyone or anything.” He leans forward, his voice dropping to a low rumble as he finishes. “And always, always watch your back.”
Chapter 3 summary: This still unnamed guy openly taunts Grace with thinly-veiled vampire threats. The entire thing is so laughably awful and goes on for way longer than it reasonably should. Eventually, Grace is so uneasy that she gets up to leave the room, but the guy decides to stalk her. Despite telling her to leave, he refuses to actually let her go.
He eventually asks what it is that she's afraid of. She thinks about the way her parents were killed in a car accident, and tells him that she's not afraid of much anymore. And something about the way she said it seemed to resonate with him, and he kind of stopped harassing her and was like “Mood.” She tells him that she can't leave the school, because she doesn't have anywhere else to go. He warns her to keep her head down and to not look closely at anything.
He's being so freaking obvious that if it takes Grace more than a week to figure out that her classmates are vampires (and witches? Are there supposed to be witches in this????), I'm going to scream.
Chapter 4
“Plus, I’ll introduce you to our counselor, Dr. Wainwright. I think you’ll like her.”
I'm not holding my breath that the therapy in this is going to be any good, but at least the narration understands that Grace needs therapy after the sudden deaths of her parents.
He’s tall—like, nearly as tall as Tall, Dark, and Surly—and just as muscular. But that’s where the resemblance ends, because everywhere that other guy was dark and cold, this one is light and fire.
And like that, the love triangle for the series is complete.
Because even though I’m sure I’m imagining things, it suddenly feels an awful lot like I’m being watched.
Chapter 4 summary: Uncle Finn finally shows up, and apologizes for having been unable to pick Grace up from the airport. They talk for a moment about getting Grace settled in. Not only for the night, but for the long-term as well. Finn tells her that he'll send some light dinner up, and tells Macy to keep an eye on her and make sure Grace gets plenty of water to help adjust to the altitude. He then runs off to go ask one of the boys to help the girls get Grace's luggage to Macy's room.
The boy is Flint, and he's the obligatory polar opposite of the mystery guy. He knows that Grace must be feeling the effects of altitude sickness, and offers to literally carry her on his back up the three flights of stairs. Grace is embarrassed with the thought and refuses. They reach a “compromise” where she'll lean against him, but in the end, she winds up mainly being carried up the stairs anyway. Grace is impressed that Flint is carrying her plus one of her bags, and leaving Macy to carry the other two bags and race to keep up with him.
As they go into the wing where Macy's room is, the mystery guy comes out with some of his friends. Grace wants to ask what his name is, but thinks that it would be too awkward. Now that they're in the hall where some of the dorms are, Grace sees that some of the doors are decorated. One of them has a bunch of bat stickers all over it and Grace... sweet sweet Grace is like “Wow, I think that they must really like Batman!” Ugh.
Chapter 5
Things Hot Pink and Harry Styles Have in Common
I don't understand these chapter titles. It's like the author legit thought that she was being clever, or at least funny, but she ended up being neither...
“Yes, that! Exactly that. Except Flint’s not quite that high on the list. Jaxon and his group have the top positions pretty much sewn up.”
“Jaxon?” I ask, trying to sound casual even as my whole body goes on high alert. I don’t know how I know she’s talking about him, but I do.
“Who’s Jaxon?”
“Jaxon Vega.”
I love how they're having this conversation like Grace has any idea who literally any other students are.
“Thanks so much for setting up the room for me. I appreciate it.”
“Oh, don’t worry about it.” She waves it away. “It was no big deal.”
“I’m pretty sure it was a big deal. I don’t know that many companies that deliver ninety minutes outside of Healy, Alaska.”
She blushes a little and looks away, like she doesn’t want me to know just how much trouble she’s gone through to make me feel at home. But then she shrugs and says, “Yeah, well, my dad knows all the ones that do. It wasn’t a problem.”
I'm pretty sure that you'd have to know all of the companies who do. Especially for the logistics of feeding like... what did they say earlier, 500 kids? Plus all of the teachers and support staff. That must be a giant headache.
...a Harry Styles T-shirt from his first solo tour...
The author does realize how dated that this makes the story, right? That happened in 2017. Which wasn't that long ago, all things considered, but the more time passes, the worse that's going to get.
The last thing I think about before drifting off to sleep is that—despite everything—tonight is the first time I’ve taken a shower without struggling not to cry since my parents died.
Chapter 5 summary: In Macy's room, Grace can tell that Macy had always intended for her cousin to room with her. After all, Macy's stuff is off to the side, and the other bed was set up with a “surfer girl” bedspread. Grace thinks that it's childish, but doesn't want to say so to Macy, because Macy clearly went to a lot of trouble to do this for her. Flint is also clearly holding back his opinion, and Grace thinks that she might have a new friend in him.
After establishing that the girls don't need anything else, Flint takes his leave. Once he's gone, Macy kind of teases Grace over having a crush on Flint. Grace says that she has a boyfriend (which I'm not going to touch without something more than a throw-away line), but Macy encourages Grace to go after Flint anyway. She then identifies the mystery guy as the most popular guy in school, Jaxon Vega. Yes, with a goddamned X in the middle of his name.
Macy shows Grace that they got her a bunch of cold-weather stuff, and Grace finally breaks down. Macy comforts her, and says she wishes that she could undo all of this. She also randomly says that her own mother walked away from her and her father, but that seems really random and irrelevant right now.
Grace goes to get a shower, and when she comes out, she decides that she's too tired to eat the soup that arrived while she was bathing. As she climbs into bed, she realizes that it was the first time she'd showered without crying since her parents died.

I've been thinking about these 3 alot...
Tumblr media
... and how much they seem to really respect Shino. I know it's a filler, but, like... Why does it seem like Shino has a knack for finding children who have wondered off away from school? Like, he's just taking a walk, making his way around the village or surrounding forest, and then there they are. Kids playing hooky or some shit. And Shino just takes it upon himself to approach them and steer them back to where they should be, while getting them attached to him somehow in the process??
But honestly. If this was just one of many times this had happened, I'd say Shino does this not out of his knack for teaching or having a way with kids. Rather, he developed a way with kids and easily applies that to his teaching because he has a strong desire to simply protect children. And it's not even from some paternal instinct as much as survival, because I think it stems from the developing trauma of losing Torune to Danzo. And I don't think it's all subconscious either.
Like I know the novel and anime frames his desicion to teach as a sort of a new goal in life as the war has ended for a couple years already and a noticable Peace has been achieved by the Blank Period and well... He's an Aburame.
Like, the Aburame are literal living, breathing, walking bioweapons. With no fight to utilize that, what else is there? Well, much like the Nara have the Nara forest and Pharmacology specifically, The Aburame most likely have a historical stake in the area of Konoha, perhaps it was simply in their Ancestral Home. Idk, but they're here to stay, they ain't budging. They're Clan Culture is very Martial and I'd argue Spartan in nature, but otherwise, they do other things too. I think they'd do well as major players in the conservation and research of native species of animals and plants, but definitely insects too. I bet they play a huge part in the general area's ecosystem, especially due to the fact that the Kamizuru clan attacked with a whole clan's worth of non-native Hymenoptera that could very well have become and still are an irritatingly and consistent problem as invasive species tend to be. And as a far as goods go, why not put some of them to use and handle an apiary? Honey is a great good to sell. All of this is great as a clan that no longer needs to fight. But, what about individual members in general, and so Shino?
Well Shino is the Heir of this clan. This Noble Clan. This "ready to throw hands at any moment" clan. It's future is in his hands, so to speak. So I doubt Shino would completely sever his connection to Shinobi life all together. And so, teaching at the Academy would be a great way to keep that connection. Teachers have to know their stuff, after all.
But what if in order to ensure teaching was his calling, Shino did his absolute best to make Jounin ASAP so he could take on a Genin Team. And. And by chance, it ended up being these three?? And they are absolutely STOKED!!! And they also pass Shino's genin test, which... would probably be a feat in it's own right. But they already know Shino, and Shino has bestowed upon them some wisdom they actually took to heart! Yeah, well, in reality they might be just a tad too old to be Shino's first official genin squad, but they were still his squad one point in a sense, right?
Tumblr media
Kon Nohara, Tano Ikemoto, and Aoki Kobayashi
I even gave them names help Imagine these three are already chuunin at least and decide they want to pay Shino a visit and even volunteer to help Shino during class time on a collective day off because they admire him so much (T~T)
But even then if not these three kiddos, maybe these three li'l shits lol
Tumblr media
Even in times of Peace, Shino's special set of skills seem too useful to waste, and being a Jounin teacher would definitely have been a way he could still go on missions, but also definitely commit to becoming a Sensei at the academy once he was 100% sure and got older. Kurenai became a Jounin/Genin Squad Leader in her late twenties, but in comparison I see Shino doing that more mid-20s. (He needs some time to travel and find his big bug friend and generally live a little?)
Tumblr media
Kurenai was a Genjutsu Specialist who manned a Tracker/Sensing based team. This sounds like it was a highly beneficial combination, even if she ended up being somewhat sadistic lol. Asuma was bound to Team 10 by Tradition as InoShikaCho and Sarutobi have that Pact together. Kakashi's team was literally Cherry Picked for him specifically by the 3rd Hokage. And Gai, a Taijutsu Specialist, had a team that Specialized in Taijutsu and Physical Offense.
Of all four teams, Kurenai and Gai were very suited to their teams, Gai in a complimentary way and Kurenai in a Challenging way. In that same vein, I think Shino would imitate Gai. Shino as a Shinobi himself has a general set of skills, but the way he goes about them are very niche. But, he was always very stealthy, and could sneak up on nearly anyone. Gags aside, he could go unnoticed as long as he wanted too, and by the time he was noticed or was ready to attack, he has you quite literally surrounded. Honestly I can see why Search and Destroy would be an Aburame's forte, but when there's no need, a person with a personal skill of high quality stealth could probably man a team with an emphasis on Reconnaissance and/or Surveillance, even Bodyguarding. I feel like Shino would probably put an emphasis on Stealth and Tracking too, utilizing his insects as sort of assistants that keep tabs on his students (Stealth Test) as well as to encourage just enough fear during too much down time in his students to inspire quality training opportunities, so maybe Kurenai rubbed off on Shino more than they all realized haha
(Plus I'm sure his students would be be smart and thoughtful enough to eventually understand what Shino and his bugs are: a complete unit. They realize just how strong and dedicated Sensei really is to be the way he is, and they all learn more in depth about Kikaichu and it's like WOW SENSEI YOU REALLY ARE RISKING BEING EATEN ALIVE EVERY SINGLE DAY, AREN'T YOU? But he's still here, because THAT'S how strong he's become over the years and the confidence to manipulate the Kikaichu while having to think of current chakra level, the most efficient use at any given time, how many he actually needs, how long usage will last, ect. They are high maintenance, man!)
Shino would no doubt produce highly skilled Bodyguards and Masters of Stealth. Maybe the type that would end up being in high demand for the eventual Celebrities that start to pop up as times change, but still very much needed when it comes to Criminal Activity, like in Sora-Ku?
But as time passes and he decided to teach at the Academy, he'd feel very at ease to do so. He'd be happy to be put in charge of all these children, because he would be able to help teach them things they need to know to defend themselves and others in a world where adults like Danzo had and will continue to exist. Maybe while he's at it, he'd use his stance as a Noble Clan Heir and accomplished Shinobi to push for changes in government with Sai's help and with Naruto and Shikamaru's cooperation? Like, the truth does come out, everyone on the Council were actually horrible and had too much power. So HERE are some ideas and REASONS why these ideas should be implemented because Shino's not going to let his brother's life and death be in vain!? HELL no, we WILL make some changes around here. Shino sees his students and just wants a future where no kid ever has to live in fear of being completely taken advantage of by the very system that was supposed to keep them safe and they pledged allegiance to.
Tumblr media
I cannot help but think of the quiet but absolute fear little Shino was harboring for the years to come after Torune was taken by that strange man and Father Shibi didn't even attempt to stop him. His own father didn't dare beat the shit out of this strange man who came looking for him, and the only solution for Shino to stay was for Torune to make himself look more desirable as an asset and be taken instead. I bet there was a lot of misplaced resentment there for a while, and talks that just didn't happen. Maybe a classmate doesn't show up to class one day and Shino is IMMEDIATELY stressed out and just... takes it upon himself to look for them after class. And he's relieved when he see they're simply at home with a fever. Shit like that just fucks with Shino, because theres people taking kids and no one is doing anything about it?? And then as Shino grew older he realized exactly what happened and how slimy the machine of Konoha really is and it was never completely Shibi's fault that Torune had to leave. He grows mentally at a faster rate than most of his classmates, and knows more than a kid really needs to know.
Shino doesn't want that for any other child. Shino is the kind of person who hears kids screaming outside of his house and he can't tell if they're playing or being murdered and it's stressful to the point he'll check through his window and he sees them for himself. He get stressed out seeing a kid in public unattended and WANTS to approach them to help if need be but also maybe he's overthinking it and the parents are there somewhere and he'd just end up looking suspicious. Like, that's what I kind of figure for Shino. He's so hyperaware of the power dynamic between kids and adults and seeing a kid so ready to fall victim to that makes Shino feel ill the more he thinks of what could happen. And he wonders if watching the kid in the market until they finally reunite with their parent so he could move on with the rest of his day causes him even a fraction of the the utterly disgusting flurry of nerves and fear that Shibi must have felt all those years ago. It goes along with his desire to spare every single little insect's life he can. It goes a long with the fact he only gets violent unless absolutely necessary. Like he wants to be strong but he doesn't want to go mad with power either, less he becomes the very thing that hurt him and his family in the first place.
Tumblr media
Originally Shino wanted to become strong to be able to defend himself because at a very young age adults failed him and Torune. But then that changes to defend not only himself, but others as he grows on a team, and realizes trust is important. And then he figured if there must be adults out there that would hurt a child, it's only logical that he should become one that would only nurture and teach one to be strong as well.
Anyway, yeah. Had some feelings. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Pairing: Peter Parker x reader
Warning: mention of smoking and drinking, angst, fluff in the end, swearing, peer pressure,
People say being in high school is so fun. But it is not. It is total shit. You don't really see how it is fun getting stressed by the things you gotta study, your parents constantly nagging you to get good marks, worried you won't be able to meet everyone's expectations from you, a fear you would disappoint everyone, and finally peer pressure.
Parties. You hate it. Too many people and music playing too loud. You say that you aren't interested in parties to your classmates when they invite you to one, they start saying hurtful things. They pressure you until you give in and attend the party.
And when you attend it they pressure you into making you drink alcohol. And you drink because you don't wanna seem like a coward or something. And then they slowly pressure you into smoking. And you get hooked on it. you start using it as a coping mechanism.
Peter never fell into the trap of peer pressure. You admire that about him. You wished you were like him.
You didn't tell Peter that you started smoking. He would be so pissed if he knew about that. You would try to tell him but back away thinking of what he will think of you.
A month passed and you pretended like you don’t smoke and didn't have feelings for Peter while Peter pretended like he didn't know about you smoking. Of course Peter knows about it, he has seen you sitting on the avenger’s tower roof with a cigar in your hand while he went for a stroll at night as spiderman. He was truly deeply concerned about you.
Gathering up the courage Peter decided to confront you. Tapping his leg, leaning the side of the elevator, he waited for the elevator to reach your floor.
Tony was doing some work in the living room when Peter got out of the elevator.
“Hello Mr.Stark. Is y/n here?” he asked.
“Yeah in her room, underoos.”
“Thank you, Mr.Stark.”
“You are welcome, kiddo.” he said, carrying on with his work.
Peter knocked on your door and waited for your reply.
“Come in.” you shouted from inside. Peter entered the room. You were sitting on your bed with your laptop on your lap.
“Hi peter.” you greeted him, smiling cheerfully. He didn't say anything, he just started going through your things. The smile on your face turned to a frown.
“Hey what are you doing?” you said. You placed the laptop down , standing up. “Peter, what the fuck are you doing?”
He picked out a box of cigarettes from your bag and threw it in front of you. The blood in your face drained.
“You know what that is?”
You didn't reply to him, your stomach churned.
“That's the shit you have been smoking for a month and forgot to mention to me or are you using it for more than a month?.” he asked you angrily.
“Peter…” you tried to make words come out of your mouth but you couldn't. You felt like someone was choking.
“Do you have any idea how concerned I have been? I waited for you to tell me about it when you are comfortable. But you never did. You got addicted to that shit. That thing could kill you.” he ranted on and on.
"Hurts to you see like this, y/n." His voice was filled with worry.
Your nails dug into your palm.
“Are you even listening to me?”
"You're making me feel fucking stupid. Like I have gone crazy." you spoke up.
“I'm not.”
“But it feels like that.”
“I'm just trying to show you that I care about you and you should stop smoking.”
“I tried. Ii tried to stop but I couldn't. I really tried, peter.” you start to cry. All the emotion you bottled up exploded. “I feel so pressured. I promised myself I wouldn't smoke again when I tried it for the first time. But they pressured me again and kinda got addicted. I Started using it as a coping mechanism. But I wanna stop. I need help.” Peter held you in arms as you sobbed.
“It's okay. We will figure this out together, I will help you.” he said.
“You will?” you asked, staring into his eyes.
“Yes.”
You didn't know what got into you, you kissed him on his soft lips. To your surprise he kissed you back. When you pulled he had a small smile on his face. He wiped the tears off your face.
“It's alright, okay. Now you are going to sleep because you need rest.” he said.
“But peter…”
“No buts.”
He closed your laptop and placed it on your table.
He sat on the bed. You placed your head on his lap. He ran his hands through your hair. You fell asleep n. Admiring you, Peter smiled. Soon he drifted to sleep.
Tony knocked on your door to check on you two but didn't get any response from you two. He opened the door to find you sleeping on Peter who was also asleep in an awkward position.
Tony took your soft cotton sheet on top so you don't get cold. He took another sheet for Peter and put it on him. He turned off the lights and went out of the room leaving you to sleep peacefully.

{Peter Parker’s Field Trip to Stark Industries}
Ships: peppertony, wandanat, sambucky
Warnings: mild anxiety, swearing
Status: married or dating
Wc: 3,281
“-and so that wraps up this lesson. Your homework is to do this worksheet, please hand a sheet back to everyone. I have a quick announcement, and it is very exciting. Given that this is one of the most advanced classes we offer, the school has arranged for us to have a field trip!”
Peter refocused on the word field trip. He didn’t have a good track record for those.
“We will be going to Avenger’s Tower! This is a very exclusive opportunity and you all should be very excited-”
No, no, no, no, this couldn’t be happening to Peter. Not now. Oh god. He had a suspicion this was set up by his basically-father. He was going to kill Tony. His teacher went on to blabber about permission slips and NDAs.
“Class dismissed. Please hand your forms in tomorrow as the field trip is on Friday.”
FRIDAY? How could it be so soon. Peter wanted to die. He headed for the door, but was stopped in his tracks by Mr. Blaze calling his name.
“Yes?” he said, turning around. The class had mainly cleared out by now.
“Peter, you're a good kid, and I understand not being the most popular student in school, but we need to talk about the lie you made up about working at Stark Industries.”
“But the internship is re-”
“This field trip is a great opportunity, and I do not want your lies ruining it for yourself or your classmates. Please do not mention it whilst we are there, or there will be serious consequences.”
“It’s a real intern-”
“Please Peter. You should know better than this. See you tomorrow.”
He was tired and fed up of school when he headed into the hallways to see his best friend.
“Hey,” Ned said, meeting him in the hallway.
“Hey,” Peter replied weakly.
“What’s up? Something happened?”
“Nah, just that field trip.”
“Oh the one to Stark Tower! It’s going to be so fun!”
“Right..”
“You’re not excited? I know you work there and stuff, but still.”
“Hmn uh yeah. No it was more Mr. Blaze being a bitch,” he replied, half lying.
“Still thinks you're lying about the internship?”
“Unfortunately.”
“Wanna come over to mine? Build some lego?”
“Nah, got to be home. Too much work to catch up on with all the patrolling I’ve been doing.”
“Gotcha. Well, see you tomorrow.”
“Yeah, yeah see you.”
Peter walked to the carpark expecting to find Happy in his black SUV. He was, instead, met by Black Widow.
“Nat?”
“Hey spider boy.”
“What are you doing here?”
“Figured I’d pick ya up and bring you home. Had a second free.”
He jumped into the passenger seat of the jet black convertible.
“How was school паук?”
“Не очень хорошо,” he said easily slipping into Russian. (Not very good)
“Зачем? что-то случилось? (Why? Did something happen?”)
“Да. У нас есть производственная практиа в Stark Industries. Что было бы не так уж и плохо, но мой глупый учитель не думает, что я действительно проходил там стажировку, поэтому он отругал меня. Плюс мое паучье чутье сегодня сильно пошло на убыль.” (Yes. We have a field trip to Stark Industries. Which wouldn't be so bad, but my stupid teacher doesn't think I really have an internship there, so he told me off. Plus my spider sense were going off so much today.)
“бедный ребенок. Я могу чем-нибудь помочь?” (Poor kid. Anything I can do to help?)
“Убить Tony за это? (Kill Tony for setting this up?”)
“Нет, детка. Сожалею." (No can do kiddo. Sorry.)
“Разве ты не можешь рассказать другим Мстителям? Особенно папа.” (Can you not tell the other Avengers? ‘Specially Dad.)
“Я не обещаю.” (I won’t, promise.)
"Спасибо.” (Thanks.)
They’d arrived at the tower. There was more to it than he was telling. Ever since he’d moved into the tower, he’d been his safe space. It was his and his families. And he knew it was supid because so many people used it, but still. It felt awful for people from his school to come there. Peter pulled his security card out of his bag, scanning it.
“Peter Parker-Stark, clearance level Alpha 5, all access. Hi baby boss,” Friday, the building's AI called out, “Shall I tell Mr. Stark you’re home?”
“Yeah sure. I’m going straight to my lab, though.”
“Okay sir. Morgan would also like to inform you that she is looking for you.”
“Send her down to the lab.”
“As you wish.”
He hopped in the lift and allowed Friday to take him to floor 89. It was his personal lab. Oren, he’d reprogram Karen, allowed him entry through the glass door.
“Hello Peter, welcome back. What would you like to work on?”
“I’m going to do some work on my web shooters. Play my “workin after school” playlist on, please.”
“Yes, sir.”
He worked peacefully on his shooters design and mechanics for about 30 minutes before Oren alerted him that Morgan was coming up.
“Morgan Stark is requesting entry.”
“Granted.”
The door opened and revealed his basically little sister.
“Hey Mo,” he said, picking up the little girl, “Who let you roam around all on your own?”
“Mummy sent me up,” she smiled.
Peter nodded.
“What are you working on Petey.”
“I’ll show you,” he said, placing Morgan on his work table. He’d quickly made sure there was nothing that could hurt her.
“Web shooters?” she guessed.
“Yep. See I wanted to make them even more efficient so I changed the gears and trigger mechanism.”
She nodded knowingly. She was very smart for her age.
“Nice! Can we build our robot?”
“Sure thing. Oren, pull up the files for Petey-Pie and Morgana’s Robot.” He’d let Morgan handle the name for their creation.
Peter went and grabbed the box that had all their pieces in it. Being careful around the young girl, they continued to work on building the robot, Peter teaching her little things on the way.
So he had a normal evening. Did some fun work, some homework, ate dinner with the lunatics called the avengers, and went to bed.
“If it isn’t my two favorite small children!” Tony said, entering his lab.
“Daddy!” Morgan said, running into her father’s arms.
“Oren, I thought I told you to lock Dad out.”
“Unfortunately your father runs the building, so I could not follow your wanted protocol.”
“Love you too kid.”
“You set up the field trip.”
“Field trip?”
“Yeah. My school’s coming here on Friday!” Peter said, looking up from his work.
“Really? Nope wasn’t me. It was likely someone from PR, kiddo. You do go to one of the best STEM schools in the country.”
Tony had a point.
“Right...sorry.”
“It’s good, kid. What’s got you so wound up about it?”
“Daddy, I’m going to Mummy.”
“Okay kiddo, Friday take little Potts to bigger Potts,” he said with a smile.
“Yes sir.”
Once Morgan left, Tony asked again, “So wanna talk about it?”
“Just, just this is home. My home. And I know that’s stupid because it’s a fuckin 100 floor tower, but I know it. I know it so well, and I just don’t really want kids from my school here. I know I can’t gatekeep a building bu-”
“Hey, hey, it’s not stupid. It makes sense. This place is home and you don’t want them messing with any part of it. I bet most kids in your class wouldn’t love it if people came into their home for a field trip.”
“Yeah. And i-its my safeplace. From everything.” Everything being all the people he lost. His parents and uncle and aunt.
“I get it. Want me to have Pep cancel the trip?”
“N-no, no. All the kids in my class were so excited.”
“Always so selfless,” Tony smiled, “When is it again?”
“Friday.”
“Kiddo, I promise it’ll be fine. If anything, anything happens just get Fri to call me or Pep. Most of the avengers will be around too so you can call ‘em too.”
“Yeah. Thanks. They’ll just try to embarrass me, though,” Peter laughed.
“They will. Do I need to sign something?”
“I’m just going to have Mum do it because her signature is less recognizable.”
“Yeah, okay. Your teachers still don’t believe you?”
“How did you know th-”
“Come on kid, I’m Tony Stark.”
Peter smiled, “Fair enough. Yeah they don’t. I mean they will after the trip.”
“Yeah, that’s the bright side.”
“Yeah.”
“Okay, I’ll leave you to it then. Don’t stay in here too late.”
The night before the field trip he was so nervous. He ended up eating dinner in his lab. Pepper complained but Tony just told her he’d had a long day and deserved a break.
He knew he should have gone to bed but as each hour passed, he got more and more anxious about the trip. He needed something to take his mind off it, so he just kept working and working. Suddenly it was seven in the morning and he needed a shower. Finishing his eighth coffee of the eve, he headed to the 91st floor where he stayed. Hoping that neither of his parents would notice his all nighter he crept into his room.
After getting ready for school, he made his way back out of his room.
“Morning,” Pepper greeted him, “How was last night?” She wore a knowing smile as she continued to tap on her computer, presumably doing work.
“Fine,” he smiled, “Don’t tell dad.”
“I won’t. You're turning into him, though.”
“What else was expected?”
Pepper just smiled, “Sam and Bucky had loads of pastry delivered to the main kitchen if you wanna pop in there.”
“Yeah, sounds good. Thanks.”
“By sweetie, have a good day at school.”
“Thanks. Love you.”
“Love you too, hun.”
Peter jumped in the lift taking him up two floores to the Avengers hang out space.
“Spiderling!” Sam and Bucky greeted
“Old Man, bird boy,” he smirked.
“You look like shit, паук,” Nat said from the sofa.
“Thanks,” he said, putting a few of the delicious looking treats onto his plate. He also grabbed himself another cup of coffee. He plops himself down next to Nat on the sofa.
“Did you not sleep again? You look like hell.” Tony said, entering the kitchen to get himself another cup of coffee.
“Right back at you dad.”
“Fair.”
Steve entered, coming back from his run.
“Hey,” he said, addressing the room, “God kid, you look like yo-”
“OKAY NEXT PERSON TO TELL ME I LOOK SHIT IS GETTING IT!”
“Oh sorry,” Steve said, rolling his eyes. Clint came in with Pietro at his side, “What’s this about Peter looking shit?”
“I hate you all,” he said, finishing his last bite. He laid down on the sofa.
“Oh ah kid, something I needed to tell you. Right, you can stay here. No need to go to school and back. Pepper wrote a note saying you’d meet at the school because you had a doctor's appointment or some shit.”
“Why is spider boy here?” Sam asked.
“School field trip.”
“Only you Parker,” the White Wolf laughed.
“No embarrassing me, please,” he begged.
“Hell no, this is a great opportunity,” Sam said, looking over to bucky.
“I won’t,” Nat said with her hands up.
“I’m in, team embarrass Peter,” Clint said, high fiving Bucky and Sam. At that moment, Wanda walked in heading straight for her girlfriend’s arms. Nat happily let her fall into her lap.”
“What’s wrong with you?” Nat asked with some level of concern.
“Everything,” Wanda said.
“Drama queen,” Pietro scoffed. Peter closed his eyes and let the conversation happen around him. At some point, Tony had left. Clint had gone off to train with the Dumb and Dumber, and Steve claimed he had a mission brief.
Friday’s voice startled him, “Peter, I recommend you head downstairs as your class is arriving in 5.”
“Five what?” Peter questioned.
“Four,” The AI continued.
“A LITTLE MORE WARNING WOULD BE NICE!”
Peter grabbed his shit and jumped into the private elevator as fast as he could. Luckily, he was in the lobby mere moments before the class entered. He pretended just to be standing around.
“Peter,” Mr. Blaze called, “Please come and join the class.”
Peter nodded, spotting his best friend amongst the crowd.
“Hey,” Ned greeted.
“‘Sup.”
“Good morning everyone,” said the tour guild, “My name is Tamiko Hiroki and I will be taking you on your tour today. To start, I will be giving you all badges. When I call your name please step up and collect it.”
She made her way through the basket and by the time she was done only one student had not received a badge.
“Hey, Peter didn’t get a badge,” Cindy Moon, a kind girl in his physics class, called.
“Apologies, there doesn’t seem to be one in here for a Peter.”
“Uh I-i, I have m-my own. Thanks Tamiko.”
“Oh okay, cool. Please follow me to security.” The class seemed shocked. Was the kid telling the truth about his internship?
“So, there are many different levels of pass here. Guests get Beta levels 1-5 depending on what they are doing. Then there’s Omega’s who are interns and such. Next is the scientist and important employees with Zeta. Finally there’s Alpha for major important roles such as department heads. The top level, Alpha 5, contains the most important people like the Avengers who live in the tower and CEO Pepper Pots.
“Tamiko Hiro, Clearance level Beta 5.”
“Don’t worry everyone, that's Friday, the AI who runs the building. Just keep passing through.”
“Philip Maiko, Clearance level Beta 1.”
“Michelle Jones, Clearance level Beta 1.”
Peter headed towards the back, allowing all the students to go in front of him. He prayed they didn’t hear his security protocol. The rest passed through with Beta 1. Then, Peter came up.
“Peter Parker-Stark, clearance level Alpha 5, all access. Hi baby boss,” Friday, the building's AI called out, “Shall I tell Mr. Stark you’re home early?”
“I’m on a field trip, Fri. No need to tell D-Mr. Stark. Thanks.”
The class, once again, looked shocked.
“Why does Penis Parker have all access?” Flash called to Tamiko.
“I do not believe I have clearance to disclose that information, but Peter here may answer,” Tamiko said, glaring at Flash.
“I mean I’ve said it before. I am a personal intern of-”
“PETEY!” Bucky yelled, giving him a hug from behind.
Deflated, he responded, “Hey Buck.”
“Is that all I get?
The two settled on one of the many sofas in the lab. Pete’s head in Tony’s lab.
“Sorry about that, Pepper explicitly told all tours to stay off this level, but it seems as though her assistant made an exception because she thought it was okay as you were on the tour. Pepper fired her.”
Only his mum, “She didn’t have to do that.”
“She was furious.”
“Oh I’m sure.”
“I know this is your safe space, so-”
“It’s okay. No one came in.”
“Yeah.”
“You feeling any better?”
“Just tired. Thanks.”
“Always kiddo. You wanna go upstairs? Take a nap?”
“Sure.”

aaron & the family he's found all by himself; vol. 2 // vol. 1
( ft. short jokes, a belated birthday shopping trip, & an ultra-chaotic winter break )
( for @criswisstuff & anyone who enjoyed the first one <3 )
savannah, who is 5'9, is constantly teasing aaron and cleo for being short. katelyn's good at 5'6, and also a bit impossible to tease bcs she's the actual best, so she gets to escape this
cleo ( 5'2 ) is perfectly delighted to have someone shorter than her for once in her life, even by only 2 inches
aaron: guys, just try and see this from my point of view
sav: [ collapses ]
katelyn: [ crouches down ]
cleo: [ sits cross-legged on floor ]
aaron: dude you're literally 2 inches taller than me
cleo: 2 and a quarter
sav is so smug about this but in a good-natured way, in that she and cleo call aaron "kid" or "kiddo" or "pipsqueak" and he doesn't mind bcs they always say it w such a huge smile and he likes to respond to sav with "how's the weather up there, tall-ass?"
and katelyn thinks it's ridiculously adorable how tiny aaron is and obviously she uses him as an armrest all the time
katelyn, petting aaron's hair: guys guys omg he's like an angsty mini blond kitten and i would kill for him <3
sav, popping up between them: mini-yard :))
before i get super distracted, i just wanna mention that aaron met sav and cleo towards the end of november, so they missed the twin's birthday
but sav still insists that she must take him shopping bcs sure his fashion sense is fine but there's always room for improvement, isn't there, aaron??
he relents, so long as she and cleo and katelyn ( who already gave him a birthday present?? why's she doing this??? ) don't spend too much money
sav drags him all around south carolina to the best thrift stores she can find and cleo and katelyn are amazed that she can get such fantastic deals on the supermodel clothes she wears
fr she's literally a fashion design major ( + minoring in business management ) and she shows up to class in skilfully done drugstore makeup and an absolutely killer outfit for like 15 bucks
she grew up poor, and she's still poor now, even if she ( thankfully ) managed to scrape a cheerleading scholarship
sav, flicking through a rack of dresses labelled $4 apiece: RIP to little miss rich bitch reynolds but i'm different ;)
no hate to allison she's awesome but she grew up in the lap of luxury surrounded by designer brands so she knows NOTHING about thrifting and rationing money in general
oh and sav and allison have kind of a frenemies thing going on bcs they're both fighting for the top spot of their fashion design course
they spend the whole day shopping and aaron ends up with a highly upgraded wardrobe that contains a lot of cute pastel stuff and sav's promise to do his makeup
aaron insists on paying for dinner at the really nice pizza place a short drive from campus even tho they all protest
and andrew knows he's found new friends, but has no idea that it's the vixens and he's dating one of them. nicky does tho, but he's sworn to secrecy
nicky thinks his new clothes are adorable and is stunned when aaron tells him the total cost
"oh my GOD that girl sounds like a genius."
"yeah, her name's sav. you guys,, would get along, i think."
okay now for the winter break part!!
i think that you can get permission to stay at dorms if you're an international student or something??
anyways since sav's super upset bcs her father straight-up told her not to come home bcs he has a new girlfriend ( god i hate sav's father )
katelyn would stay with her, but her dad can finally have her home in new york for christmas and she really doesn't want to miss it
cleo, the only one with a properly functional family, is going back to her big family house and loving parents and grandma and aunt and siblings and cousins. love that for her.
so aaron and sav are stuck at psu for 2 weeks and aaron's surprisingly cool with this. and sav's excited bcs for the first time since her mom died, she can spend her christmas with someone she actually wants around instead of her shitty-ass father and his constant stream of bitchy girlfriends
they spend a lot of time together, stealing food from the athlete's dining hall to make their own weird combos, which usually ends with aaron making something Cool and Interesting and sav gagging and spitting out whatever strange concoction she had previously insisted would taste good
i literally can't bring myself to give a shit about the twinyards' deal bcs andrew literally became best friends with renee?? and hooks up with guys at eden’s??? idk what's going on there but it's like andrew is trying to control aaron's life while he can do whatever he wants??? and honestly wtf????
also let me just make it clear that i ADORE andrew so so much he's one of my favourite comfort characters ever but i'm not gonna make excuses for his shitty behaviour. i fully believe he heals and puts away his pride to apologise to aaron, nicky, and kevin for his treatment of them
that's definitely not to say that aaron's internalised homophobia isn't eww, but with so many important people in his life gay, he makes a huge effort to get over it
so andrew just thinks that aaron is spending a lot of time in the library or out with nicky or something
and when aaron tells sav about this deal, she's kinda horrified, but it's pretty clear to her that aaron so desperately wants to fix his relationship with his brother, and she's not in any place to discourage him, is she?
the only thing she can do is hope that he won't come out all the worse for it
and stare at the boy curled up on the other end of the pale pink sofa cleo's parents had gotten, wonder just how much shit he'd been put through, and decide she was going to be his best friend
aaron's face has gone entirely impassive. sav nudges his fluffy-socked foot with her own, then reaches out to smooth the crease between his eyebrows. "careful, you'll wrinkle your pretty little face."
aaron is very caught off guard by this, and very promptly flushes bright red, which contrasts with the pale teal hoodie he stole from katelyn
"okay, enough talk about depressing crap. wanna go make christmas cookies now?"
"yeah."
so they make christmas cookies. well, it was supposed to be christmas cookies, but it turns into double chocolate fudge cookies somewhere along the line. neither of them knows how
them baking together is the definition of chaos. they're still blasting songs, and sav is singing along terribly
"yOu'Re A mEaN oNe, Mr. GrInCh," while poking aaron's cheek as he tries to mix something. he throws a handful of flour at her. "yOu ReAlLy ArE A hEel."
anyways obviously sav retaliates and that ends in a flour fight. it only stops when aaron deadass cracks an egg on sav's head and she smears chocolate into his hair
she also tries to make him sing along to baby, it's cold outside
"i'Ve GoT tO Go `wAAyyy~" she holds a spatula up to his face
"go away."
they video call katelyn, who takes one look at the mess in the cramped dorm kitchen and sighs so loudly and dramatically that her dad pops in and asks if everything's okay
aaron freezes up at the sight of him and sav quickly turns off the camera, bcs they both want to make good impressions on him, and being covered in various cookie ingredients just won't cut it, ya know?
the cookies turn out delicious and sav sends all their group chat various photos of the process, most of which consist of selfies with her making goofy faces while aaron is simultaneously baking and flipping off the camera
plus a several videos of sav enthusiastically dancing and mouthing the lyrics of, as follows, all i want for christmas is you, let it snow, and santa claus is coming to town and aggressively pointing a spatula at aaron
"c'mon aari, just sing! please??? please???? please you can do it i believe in you!!"
finally he just. gives up. "okay, you know what? fine, i'll sing to ONE and then you will STOP bothering me you insolent dumbass."
sav beams. santa baby starts playing. aaron is very clearly going through five stages of grief in 0.5 seconds
"go on," sav says sweetly as she slides in next to a pouting aaron, "i'll sing with you."
sav slings an arm around his shoulder and sways with him, so it's just her doing that and him grumpily mumbling the lyrics
and when the cookies are cooling down, they start cleaning the kitchen up. aaron rubs some spilled egg yolk into sav's hair but it goes pretty okay otherwise, since they're just listening to more christmas songs and chatting about light stuff, like aaron's biochem course, sav's fashion course, and their dumb classmates
aaron mostly listens tho, and learns that sav kind of hates allison reynolds for giving up her inheritance when she would do ANYTHING for even the tiniest fraction of that money
but she still thinks allison's gorgeous bcs c'mon
and that sav's dream is to one day open her own boutique!!
aaron spends most of the actual christmas day with the monsters at eden's bcs nicky and andrew wanted to
he spent a lot of the time texting on their group chat
doessavvyisgay: so u just go to a nightclub every week??
unaliveme: i mean yeah, i literally worked here for a while. we needed money and nicky was already working 2 jobs night and day

A Love Letter to Parents At the End of The Most Difficult School Year EVER
WOW, that was really something, huh?
It’s the end of the most difficult year school for all of us: teachers, parents, students… Hell, probably even the neighbors of parents and students. I would say “at least we survived!” but this has been more than a year of illness and mental health crises… not all of us did. Some of you are mourning those loses. I am so sorry.
As my daughter celebrates her final day of Kindergarten, and I celebrate my final day of supervising hours of zooms and packets full of work, of being her mother, teacher, confidant, chef, maid, PE teacher, and playmate… I have a lot of emotions. I’m sure you do too.
It was hard for those of us who, like my family, spent the entire year in virtual school: never meeting teachers or classmates in person. Those of us who spent so much of the year trying not to worry about excessive screen time while going against our intuition to coax children to sit up and pay attention to their computers.
It was difficult for families who did hybrid and had their bits of in-person “normalcy” sporadicly and suddenly turned to quarantines every time there was an exposure so that there could never be a true routine.
It was complicated for parents navigating this with multiple children who all needed different things at the same time. I know in my daughter’s own little kindergarten class we over-heard older siblings’ music lessons, younger siblings’ infant-wails, and parents trying to deal with their work zooms while 6 year olds struggled to concentrate on learning to read.
My heart especially goes out to the parents of children who need extra attention or services, some of whom lost out on months or a year of in-person therapies. This is unfair and horrible. This has been infuriating, unfair, and horrible. You have been dealing with far more worries than you should have had to and I am so sorry.
And then there’s work… whew. As a working mother who went to work in person in full PPE, then worked from home with endless Zoom meetings while my daughter put Elsa stick-on earrings all over my face, and then who lost my job due to pandemic related situations. I know it was difficult to work and teach and parent and be a child’s only friend and entertainment.
For those of you who are essential, for those of you who work in healthcare and mental healthcare… I just, I can’t even begin to tell you how much I admire you and also know my admiration doesn’t do a fucking ounce of good to help alleviate all you’ve had to juggle and endure.
So much has fallen disproportionality on mothers. We can see it in hard data. This will have ramifications for years to come. Just as it will on our kids… in ways we don’t even fully understand yet. Just while trying to write this essay…. my daughter and our kitten have crawled into my lap. They are both here right now.
And yes, I know plenty of amazing Dads who have been struggling right there with us. My dad-friends and I have leaned on each other TREMENDOUSLY this year, so please don’t think I don’t see you out there struggling through this too.
As I look back over this past school year (and the end of the academic year before) I am feeling sad for the milestones my child didn’t get to have. The things we didn’t experience as planned. The fond farewell to her preschool of 3 years we never had. The kindergarten teacher she never met in person. The first year at an elementary school where we haven’t yet been inside the building. I have so much dread for the coming separation anxiety after more than a year of never being apart. Hers and mine. This was not how things were supposed to be. No matter how you’ve experienced the pandemic, because we’re all doing it differently… this was not what we “planned.” It’s also not something anyone else alive has ever had to deal with before.
I want to stress that again:
No parent alive has ever dealt with anything like this. No one alive has experienced anything like this as a child. Bad things? Yes. Worse thing? Yes, even. But not THIS.
So if your parents/elders are giving unhelpful “advice” about how you should/should have handled things please remember THEY HAVE NO IDEA. None. At all.
This is one area where you can laugh and laugh and be like… “YOU HAD OPEN PARKS AND SCHOOLS AND KIDS COULD GO RIDE THEIR BIKES UNRESTRICTED. YOU COULD GO SIT IN CHURCH AND THE KIDS WOULD BE IN SUNDAY SCHOOL. YOU CAN NOPE RIGHT OFF.” Love them. Love their advice, but they don’t actually know what it is like.
I hope they are offering love and support. I don’t have living parents, but my grandmother is the first to say that even as a stay at home mom whose husband was away fighting a war, she can’t imagine being unable to simply take her kids to school or to run errands, or to let them play with other children. Her situation was very difficult and complicated. I don’t have it worse. Not at all. It’s just that this school year has been one hell of a weird one.
There have been bright spots. I loved getting to watch and experience my daughter learning in real time. Seeing the day-to-day progress and truly knowing what is going on in her classes. Again, that isn’t the experience for parents who have children unable to access their child’s IEP help in the way they should.
I love the extra time we’ve gotten together as a family. The movie nights outside and snuggles and lack of rushing around from place to place. I enjoy as an Angeleno not being stuck in traffic for hours. Not everyone has been able to work from home like my wife and I have mostly been able to do for much of this and I am grateful for that too.
My hope is that when this is truly over, when we get back to whatever new life looks like in the next school year, that some of the good will stay. That I will be more involved in our child’s education than maybe I would have been before because I know what it looks like. That we will spend more time as a family together just us. That I won’t say “yes” to things out of obligation that don’t add value to our lives. That we won’t be too busy. That’s probably naive, but we can sure try.
I hope that you have some bright spots to look back on from this past school year. I hope you can share them with your children and they can share theirs with you. Whatever you had to do to get through this, I am so outrageously proud of you. I am proud of me too. And wow, our kids. They’ve been through some shit. I’m super proud of them.
Please, please take some time to celebrate what you have managed to get through. I got cupcakes for the kiddo and some cocktails for grownups. Please do whatever version of that sparks some happiness.
PUNT THAT SCHOOL-ISSUED LAPTOP INTO THE SUN.
I mean, yeah okay, we’ll all responsibly return it fully charged and be so grateful to the school system that we didn’t have to use Mommy’s work laptop for it but you know… metaphorically it’s that scene from Office Space. (Your kids wouldn’t get this joke but this isn’t for them. JUST LIKE THE COCKTAIL/CHOCOLATE/BUBBLEBATH/WHATEVER YOU ARE GONNA DO TO CELEBRATE YOU )
Anyway, you are amazing. Maybe you don’t feel like many people noticed. I see you. I’m toasting you from this weird half-teacher’s lounge we share.
If you’d like to share some of your brightest spots, or most amazing, brilliant parent hacks from all this madness, I would love to read about it in the comments. We’ve got to hold onto the good.

We’re All We Got
Request: I would like a Dean x Reader where the reader is their little sister, and Dean has been with her since she was a little girl, and so he is always very protective, and one day she almost dies and he despairs a lot, but everything is fine.
Pairing: Dean Winchester x Sister!Reader
A/N: Hope you enjoy this! :)
Word Count: 1820
❅ ❅ ❅
-flashback to 13yr old Dean-
“Shh, Y/N. It’s going to be ok. You’re fine, kiddo.” Dean whispered as he laid beside her on the motel bed, carding his fingers through her hair.
Y/N, was was running a high fever and it worried Dean and Sam to no end.
“De, my head hurts.” She whimpered, curling up into him.
“I know, kid. I’ll go to the store and get you some medicines ok?”
“No!” Cried Y/N clinging to him tighter. “Don’t go, please”
“Y/N we don’t have anything to make it better. I need to go get some stuff for you. Or it could get worse.” Said Dean trying to pry her hands off him, an action that immediately made her cry.
“D-don’t go!”
“No no please calm down! I’m right her ok? I’ll stay. I won’t go.” He soother her, panicking at her reaction. He had always had a special bond with the 7yr old, and he was extremely protective of her. Sam too, but Y/N was the youngest and was more prone to getting hurt than his brother.
Sam climbed in on the other side of the bed next to Y/N, “Y/N I’ll be right here with you. Dean won’t be long.” He tried convincing her.
“No! I only want De!”
“I’m right here, kid. Ain’t going anywhere.” Said Dean cuddling her more, making sure she was comfortable. He stayed with her till she feel asleep before he could go buy the stuff.
-Flashback end-
Dean was clutching onto Y/N’s hand in the hospital. She was severely hurt by a werewolf and had been quite close to death.
“I’m right here, kid.” He whispered to her unconscious form.
It pained him to see his baby sister like that. Especially when it was his fault. Y/N was no hunter. Her expertise lied in research. However, she did know how to fight almost as well as her brother but chose not to. This one particular hunt, he and Sam were outnumbered and needed an extra hand. So they had no choice but to take Y/N with them. Everything was going according to plan and the three of them fought like a well oiled machine. Unfortunately, right at the end when only one werewolf was remaining, the bastard got Y/N and hurt her badly before getting shot by Sam.
The car ride to the hospital was one of the worst moments of his life. He even made Sam drive them, opting to sit at the back making sure their little sister didn’t bleed to death. Once everything was taken care of, he had refused to leave her side and insisted on Sam getting the rest he needed.
And hour later Sam had arrived with two cups of coffee, startling Dean when he placed an hand on his shoulder.
“Dean, she’s alive. She’s going to wake up. The doctor said so himself.” Sam was very worried about both his siblings. One nearly died and the other is slowly running himself to an early grave.
“I’m fine, Sammy.” Dean mumbled.
“At least have some coffee.” Sam offered him the cup.
Dean took it absentmindedly and placed the thing on the table next to him, making Sam sigh. He barely noticed Sam take a seat beside him rubbing Y/N’s leg.
-flashback to 18 yr old Dean-
Y/N had been hanging out with a couple of her school friends when suddenly she barged into the motel room angry as hell and making a beeline to the bathroom. She slammed the door and locked it, startling her brothers. Dean shared a worried look with Sam and walked to the bathroom and knocked on the door.
“Y/N, what’s wrong?” He asked.
“Nothing is wrong! Go away!” She yelled, her voiced muffled by the door.
“I know something’s wrong, N/N! Don’t lie to me.”
“I said, GO. AWAY!”
“Did someone hurt you? You know I’ll beat the shit out of them!”
“Y/N, we just want to help.” Said Sam joining Dean.
“I just need 5 minutes ok?” Her voice broke at the end.
“You got 5 minutes, and then I’m coming in.” Said Dean, walking to the bed and sitting on the corner. He was still on alert, waiting for her to come out.
It had become little over 5 mins and just when Dean was about to pick the lock, the door opened a crack and Y/N’s tear stricken face came into view.
“De…” Her small voice came through.
“Y/N, what’s going on. Why are you crying?”
“I… I’m bleeding.” She whispered.
Both Dean and Sam were freaking out.
“What?!” They chorused.
“Y/N! Where? What was it? Why didn’t you say anything sooner?!” Dean was getting angry and trying to open the door more to get a look at her.
“Guys! Not like that! Nothing hurt me!” Her face was red with embarrassment.
They stopped for a second, “What do you mean, N/N?” Asked Sam.
That’s when it hit Dean. She got her first period. He looked at her with wide eyes.
“Oh…”
“Yeah.”
“What’s happening, guys?” A confused Sam asked.
“Sammy, just stay here ok? Keep an eye on her. Both of you just stay here. I’ll be back in 20mins.” With that he rushed out to get her what was needed.
An hour later Y/N was curled up on the bed under the blankets with embarrassment and a hot pack. While Dean was sitting beside her trying to tell her there was nothing to be embarrassed about.
“It’s a normal thing, N/N. It’s happens to every girl.”
“Not in public.” She mumbled.
“Not true, when I was your age, a classmate of mine started to.. you know.. in class. She was very embarrassed too and had her mom come get her. But eventually she forgot about it and so did everyone else.”
He was doing his best to assure her that she was fine, but what came out of her mouth next broke his heart.
“She had a mom to tell her about it. I don’t.”
“N/N…”
She was sniffling under the blankets, trying not to cry. He didn’t know what to say to comfort her.
“If mom were here, she’d be so proud of the way you’re handling it, kid. You’re a champ. I know I ain’t mom, but I’m here for you ok? I’ll always be here for you and Sammy.” He looked at Sam who was trying his best to help as much as he could.
“Thank you, De.” Y/N whispered. “You’re not mom, but you’re kinda cool.”
He ruffled her hair, making her laugh. “I’m more than cool, shortie!”
-flashback end-
Dean chuckled at that memory, kissing the back of her hand. He remembered how he had to explain to the shopkeeper what he was looking for. And he had to help Y/N figure out how to use it too because no one had taught her. They were both an embarrassed mess, but it all worked out in the end. It was hard for the three of them to not have any parental guidance. With a dead mother and an absent father, it fell on Dean’s shoulders to make sure Sam and Y/N were taken care of.
“I swear to god when you wake up I’m gonna kick you ass, kid.” He said softly. “You’re not making it easy on me. It’s my job to keep you safe and I failed. You’ve always been a trouble maker, you know? Sammy was easy compared to you and that’s saying a lot.” He chuckled.
“Hey! You’re one to talk.” Quipped Sam, smiling a little.
“Shush, Sam. It’s rude to interrupt.” He smirked at him. “Anyway, I’m just warning you. You enjoy the peace now. Caz when you open those eyes, I’m going to give you shit, Y/N.”
“Me too. Don’t think I’ll go easy on you, squirt.” Said Sam.
A few seconds later, Dean felt his hand get squeezed. A small groan came from Y/N.
“Y/N!” They called at the same time and sprung into action in a frenzy and called the nurse.
The doctor looked her up and gave her the clear to leave after 48 hours. He also gave them instructions on her diet and gave strict orders on bed rest until the wound healed a little more. When he left a silence set in the room until Y/N broke it.
“So you two think you could give me shit and get away with it?” She smirked tiredly at them.
“You don’t have a say in that, N/N. You nearly died! What were you thinking?!” Said Sam slightly angry.
“I’m sorry, Sammy. But I did what had to be done. It was unavoidable.” She smiled apologetically
“It was not unavoidable, Y/N! We could’ve handled it without you getting in its way!”
“Sam… it would’ve mauled you if I hadn’t. I couldn’t let my favourite Sasquatch get hurt now, can I?”
“Y/N I could’ve-“
“Sam, stop. I’m fine! I’m alive and kicking. So please let it go?” She gave him her puppy dog eyes which she learnt from him.
“Should not have taught you that.” He mumbled grumpily, making her giggle and wince.
Dean through it all was quiet. He was still trying to process everything.
“De…” Called Y/N.
He looked at her with tears in his eyes. He didn’t let them fall however.
“No. Don’t you dare say you’re fine caz you stopped breathing, Y/N!” He snapped at her.
She was taken aback.
“I never should’ve asked you to help us! This could’ve been avoided if I wasn’t such a dumbass.” He rubbed his face. “But at the same time, you saved Sammy. I can’t… I don’t know how to process this.”
“Dean. What was supposed to happen, happened. We’re Winchesters, we’re meant to get hurt, die and rise up again. It’s the way it has been.” Y/N said calmly.
“It doesn’t mean I have to like it.”
“No it doesn’t” She chuckled lightly. “But it does mean that you of all people need to take a break once in a while and let the young people do the protecting.”
Dean chuckled at that, “You calling me old, kid?”
“Damn right.” She smirked at him making Sam snort.
“She’s right, Dean. So go take a shower and eat something before your old man body kills you dead.” Sam grinned at him.
“You’re not so young yourself, Sammy” He gave him a bitch face.
“Still younger.” He grinned.
Dean rolled his eyes at Sam and looked at Y/N with a soft smile. He kissed her forehead and whispered, “Don’t run off. I’ll be back in no time.”
“I’ll try not to.” She smiled at him, squeezing his hand before he reluctantly left to fix himself.

Things Are Different Now.
Tumblr media
WARNINGS- this chapter depicts gun violence, shootings, & murder. Please do not reader if you are triggered by any of that!! And please reach out if I forgot to add something!(also, this is not edited so beware)
ONE
In the Rogers-Barnes household they had three simple and easy rules, and usually Maggie had no problem following them, until now.
No parties: they can lead to misunderstandings and are usually unsafe.
Be honest, nothing you’ve done will ever make us love you any less.
Always stand up for what you believe in and never back down from a challenge.
Her hands were entangled with her friend’s as they danced in somebody’s random kitchen filled sweaty, teenage bodies and alcohol. The haze of cannabis flavored clouds blurred the room adding to the vibe.
A loud laugh erupted from the both of them as they finally stopped the horrendous dancing and came back to their senses.
Maggie’s gut filled with shame the moment her phone buzzed and it was her father.
Daddio
having fun, kiddo??
10:37 pm
She huffed and groaned, “why did my parents have to make me such a guilt-filled child..?”
“Because Cap and Sarge are what you call helicopter parents, Maggs. You just gotta break the rules and not tell them, simple as that,” Emma snickered, watching the girl roll her eyes, “you know I’m true.”
Maggs-a-million
yes! love you and pops!
10:42 pm
Maggie and Emma had been best friends since they were in pre-school, and since then, they were practically inseparable. Either Emma was at the Rogers-Barnes household or Maggie was at the Anderson household. They spent vacations together, holidays, summer break, etc… If anything, Steve and Bucky felt as though they had adopted Emma too.
“C’mon! Let’s go get a drink, maybe that’ll loosen you up,” Emma suggested, winking.
She didn’t even want to be here. It didn’t feel right, something just didn’t settle right within her. Maggie didn’t break rules, there was always a reason rules were put into place so why break them.
Breaking the party rule and now Emma wanted her to drink, it overstepped way too many boundaries.
“Em, I don’t think that’s a good idea. Why don’t we just go back to your house and eat the rest of the cheesecake?” she furrowed her eyebrow, stumbling as the other girl practically dragged her throughout the house.
She moaned turning on her heels, “oh c’mon, Maggie. You’re sixteen and you’ve never been to a party or even kissed a boy! Let alone had sex! Let loose, have some fun! You’re always uptight, why can’t you just have fun?”
Immediately, it was a blow to the chest. Maggie’s face dropped at her words, they stung like a smack across the cheek.
Emma covered her mouth regretting the words the moment they left her tongue, “wait, maggs- holy shit…”
“What Emma? What?” Maggie muttered, trying to keep the spite in her voice low.
And the moment the first bullet rang through the air, Maggie dived towards Emma pushing both of them to the ground.
Chaos expelled from the crowd within the four walled house. Fear overrode logic as the two tried to exit. Another shot fired. More screams. Then another shot. Cries and begs of help emitted.
“Do you wanna fucking die?! Get the fuck down!” the shooter shouted, aiming the gun all around the room.
Maggie crawled behind the island in the kitchen, finding refuge from the man. Panic arised in her chest after noticing Emma was no longer beside her and left vulnerable to the psycho. Her knees were tucked to her chest, trying to conceal as much of her as she could. “Awe! Is someone scared? Guess what, I don’t give a fuck, bye-bye!” the armed man smirked underneath the mask and pulled the trigger.
Maggie flinched, covering her ears to avoid hearing the awful pain filled screams and cries. Everything felt nightmarish. It didn’t feel real, the whole event didn’t feel real. She didn’t want to actually want to think this could happen.
“You know who did this? You all did. This is all your fault, all your fucking fault!”
The voice grew closer and closer to her. Heavy footsteps vibrated the flooring around her, making her heartstop within her chest. Maggie’s lips parted saying her final prayer, this was the end or so she thought.
Her eyes opened to find black cargo pants and heavy military grade boots, mocking her every being.
He chuckled, crouching down to her height. Maggie flinched and clenched her glassy eyes shut. This is the end. This is the end. This is the end. This is the end. Like a mantra playing over and over again, she awaited for the pain, for the bullet, but nothing came.
Nothing, but a leather covered hand wiping the fallen tear off her face.
“You were always super nice to me and look, it saved your life,” he sneered, patting her flushed cheeks softly, “also, be careful in the living room. Wouldn’t want you to step in some blood. Now leave.”
Maggie didn’t need to be told twice, and she didn’t really feel like sticking around to find out. The living room was an absolute bloodbath. Teenagers, her classmates, friends, people she grew up with, were lying dead on the carpeted flooring. Lifeless. Gone.
Her stomach churned unpleasantly at the site, but nonetheless she exited the hellsite. Emma had found her way out of the house, and stood by a street sign trying to keep herself together.
“Maggie? Maggie! Holy shit! Are you okay?” Emma’s hands found her shoulders, shaking them softly, “Maggs? Hey, can you hear me?”
She pushed herself out of her hands, shaking her head, “I'm fine..”
Maggie couldn’t think straight. The amount of blood that stained the carpets and their lifeless eyes staring up at her as she exited the house. And the military grade boots thumping against the tiling flooring as he got closer to her.
“Where the fuck are you going, Maggie?” She shouted, throwing her hands up in an exasperated motion.
“I… uh, I’m going home. I need to be alone right now. Please be safe, I love you Em,” Maggie turned around, answering the girl.
“Are you crazy? Maggie! Maggie for fucksake! It’s midnight! You are so damn infuriating!”
She didn’t listen to her ramble on about how bad of a friend she was, instead, Maggie ran. She ran until her lungs burned and the cramp in her side became unbearable and eventually, she spilled all the contents in her stomach on the pavement a couple feet from her home.
As if, Maggie spewing chunks on the walkway wasn’t suspicious enough, now she was about to walk through the door at eleven thirty-six pm. Perfect. Her two super-soldier for dad’s totally wouldn’t think any of it..
Her hand twisted the knob of the door open and walked through the threshold. Steve and Bucky were both half asleep on the couch when she walked in. Bucky practically smothering Steve’s body from laying completely on top of it.
They were only awakened because the AI system let them know that Maggie walked through the door. “Captain Rogers, Sergeant Barnes, Miss. Maggie has arrived home,” JARVIS announced making her cringe.
Steve and Bucky flinched from the volume of the system, but turned their attention to their daughter who stood in the doorway as white as a sheet of paper.
“Maggie, sweetheart, what are you doing here? And how did you even get home?” Steve yawned, stretching, “I’m not upset with you, but a text would’ve been nice, doll. That way we could’ve come and gotcha’.”
Bucky furrowed his eyebrow, “why are you so pale? You look like you’ve seen a ghost..”
Glancing down at the dirtied sneakers, Maggie struggled to come up with an excuse, “I got sick.. And Emma drove me here, sorry dad.”
Steve and Bucky’s faces fell and they rounded the couch to meet her in the doorway. “Awe, Maggs, what happened? Do you need something? I think we have theraflu in the cabinet?” Steve rambled, placing the back of his hand on the top of her head.
“No, no, no, just a little bug. Nothing too extreme, promise. I’m going to head to bed, okay?” she muttered, sighing.
“Okay, doll, goodnight and sweetest dreams,” Bucky gave a small smile before kissing the top of her head.
She nodded, hugging both of them bidding her goodnites and she ascended up the staircase. “Maggie, if something happened, please don’t be afraid to talk to us, angel. Nothing is too severe to stop us loving you, okay?” Steve reminded, lifting an eyebrow.
“I know dad, I know,” she nodded, almost whispering.
Tears pricked in her eyes when the door to her room finally shut. Violent sobs wracked her body, spilling down her cheeks and onto the pillow.
The worst part was knowing the fact she couldn’t even tell the people she loved the most, what had happened. If only she hadn’t gone, if only Emma settled for the night in instead of the night out, things would be different.
Maggie Rogers-Barnes learned that sometimes nightmares are actually people..

BNHA Ship to Finish the Year
KotEri (Izumi Kota x Eri Aizawa)
Canon
I like to think that Kota and Eri meet during October. Eri never went trick or treating, and since Kota is a kid her age and Ragdoll is available for taking the door to door, Shota deems it okay.
They met before Halloween night, and it goes okay. Mostly they talk about costumes.
They dress up as LeMillion and Deku. Ragdoll sends a lot of pictures, It's too cute.
From there on out, the two are inseparable. I feel like Kota would be Eri's first friends, and he teaches her the beauty of pranks. Once, they put cooking oil on the floor and watched as Iida went flying into the TV. There is a no running rule now.
I don't think they would go to school together until they go to UA.
I feel like until then Kota only sees her as a friend until they start high school. Suddenly, the guys of class 1a are talking about who the cutest girl and they all think it's Eri.
He knows he shouldn't, but he is mad about it... Oh no!
I feel that for Eri, it happens later and more slowly. She knows she can trust Kota. Whenever she has a problem or needs someone to talk to, she knows she can trust in him.
By the second year, when I imagine he suddenly hits a growth spurt and enters his emo phase, she realizes he is handsome.
The two don't say anything until they go to a hero-convention (Deku Merch!) and one of the ex-Hassaikai attacks as a villain and recognizes Eri.
Kota helps her by taking her around the city, and when they get to a Sakura tree, Eri leans in and kisses him. He obviously returns it, and they start dating.
They keep it a secret for as long as they can, since Aizawa is the principal and very protective of his daughter. However, once he finds out, his trust in Kota is completely broken. He is not welcome in their home anymore.
However, Shinsou is weaker against Eri's puppy eyes.
I don't know why, but I would love a fic about them like this:
"Hey Izu-kun, you know how to drive right? And your aunt's and uncle let you take their car whenever?"
"Yeah, why?" "I need you to drive me somewhere?" "Sure, where?" "Tartarous," "... alright."
"So, why am I driving you to Tartarous?" "Oh, I want to talk with Chisaki," "*stops abruptly* WHAT!? You want to talk with the man that tortured you since you can remember and made your life a living hell!? WHY!?!?"
"I need closure. I know I might never be able to forget him and what he did, but I can't freeze every time somebody mentions him. I need to do this, I need to move on,"
He goes with her, as moral support. It kind of helps seeing him armless, behind bars and defeated, but Eri simply tells him she is moving on with her life and he should too.
After it, they go for ice-cream and a walk in the beach (I like to think this is a favourite date for them). I think it's a very romantic moment until Shinsou interrupt them.
Her family was made aware that she visited Chisaki and have been looking for her like crazy.
Family
Aizawa is not happy when he finds out. This is what happens:
*Eri comes in with Kota. The two have smoothies, Kota a blue one and Eri a red one* "Hi dad! We are going to be in my room studying! Don't interrupt us!" "Alright!"
*An hour later* "Eri, Mic is going to be home in a few minutes, we'll have dinner when he arrives. Is Kota staying?" "No, his aunt is picking him up in a bit," "...Why is your tongue purple?" "Oh... um... maybe it was the smoothie," "You had a red smoothie... and Kota had a blue... one..."
*He realizes what happened and starts stomping up the stair, Eri behind him, telling him to calm down. He slams the door open and sees Kota, with his hair messed and his lips covered in lip gloss, throwing himself off the window.* "Come here, you traitor!"
Aizawa calls a family meeting, and even Shinsou who has his own home has to come. He is ready to expel him, he feels betrayed. He trusted that kid in his home, and he takes advantage of his daughter? I don't think so! He is going to die.
Hizashi cries, his baby girl is replacing him. (I headcanon that she would die her hair to look like a rainbow, and Kota helps her, instead of Hizashi)
Shinsou is the one who sides with Eri, reminding his parents that she is old enough to make a decision like this, and they should trust her. "Besides, I was her age when Kaminari and I started doing stuff," "What?" "What?" "I don't live here anymore, I don't have to keep secrets,"
Shinsou lets her come to his home to get ready for her dates, so that Koda doesn't have to fear for his life in their living room. However, he still threatens him.
"For some reason, you make Eri happy. But if that changes, and you make her sad, you are going to wish, Midoriya never saved you from Muscular," "H-how do you know that?" "I know everything. Have fun on your date!"
The WWP are embarrassing. They have a photo album ready, they tell Eri how much he talks about her.
They also have an open-door policy, but Koda is a rebel and doesn't follow the rule. However, they found a way around it.
*comes in without knocking* "Hey kiddos, want some cookies?" "No, Aunt. We are fine," "Alright, just keep the door open!"
*comes in without knocking* "Hey lovebirds, are you thirsty? I made some lemonade!" "We are fine, Pixie-bob," "Alright, just keep the door open!"
*comes in without knocking* "Have you seen the cat?" "We don't have a cat, Ragdoll!" "Oh, right! Keep the door open!"
But when he locks the door:
*BANG!* "Aaaaahhhh!" "Aaaaaaaahhhhhhh!" "Tiger! Did you just kick the door open!?" "Yes! Remember to keep the door open!"
Also, when they found out, the WWD follows them on their date. They need pictures.
The problem is that Kota and Eri are not on a date. They are helping Katsumo give a tour of the city to his sister. They all notice the four pros following them, Kota tells them to ignore them.
I feel like Deku would be happy for them. His first fans are so cute together.
AU - Band AU
This is a modern setting au.
So, Eri was adopted into music. After she was rescued from Chisaki, she was adopted by Present Mic and his husband, Aizawa.
Present Mic is a famous radio host, and before that, he and Aizawa and Oboro played in a band together. Now, Aizawa is a music manager for young artist, in between those there is 1A band.
As she grows up, she is introduced to music, and it becomes one of the best things in her life. She is a great singer, and she also learns how to play the piano.
She want to have a career in music, so when she is a teen, at UA school, she joins the music club.
She is trying to form a band, and along the way she finds Katsuma, who becomes the bassist, Tamashiro on the drums, and they only need a guitarist and vocalist.
Enter Bad boy Kota. His parents were musicians that died in a boat accident, and so Kota now lives his aunt and their dancing group, The Wild Wild Pussycats.
He used to love music, but now it's only a reminder of who he lost.
But one day, Eri hears him sing. She asks if he would want to join their band. He refuses and leaves, but that is not the last he sees of Eri.
The two are paired for some school work, and while working on it, Eri starts singing, and it wakes something in him.
Kota doesn't know what it was, but suddenly, he felt as if he was with his parents again.
He tells her that he'll join her band temporarily, at least so he has enough time to figure out what was that feeling.
They are all ecstatic, and they start playing together.
Eri and Kota are the ones who most clash since he is really into rock and edgy stuff, and she is more cute and pop style.
However, the two spend a lot of time together.
Kota wants to understand how Eri makes him feel stuff, and Eri doesn't really mind his company, so she lets him stay. She was always very shy, so it's hard for her to make friends without recurring to music.
At some point, Eri tells Kota about her life as Chisaki's toy, and it makes him realize why Eri is so special.
She is real, she suffered and survived, and now she can keep smiling. Which Kota never got to, he never moved on from his parents death, and still hold on to the rage and sadness.
Kota also opens up to Eri, and he tells her about his parents death and his departure from music.
Eri asks him to sing with her, and when they do, Kota feels like he has his parents back. It brings him to tears, but Eri hold him.
The band present themselves to the talent show of the school and somehow end up winning.
During the celebration party, Kota and Eri kiss.
Fanon Opinion
I'm sorry, but I don't feel comfortable writing NSFW stuff about Kota or Eri.
I know that I age up everybody, and I did so with these two, too, but I can't.
I can't picture them as nothing, but children and I am not going to write PWP about that.
I don't they would do it until their third year, but I do think that they make out.
I think this is a very cute couple. They have that puppy-love thing going for them.
Also, I love this because it would be a good thing for Eri. We just want good things for Eri.
And I know that Eri is older than Kota, and supposedly she should be his senpai. But with all the emotional baggage she has, I think it makes sense that she would start school a little later.
I think that they would be a beach and parks couple. In summer, they go to the beach, while in the winter they hang around the park.
I feel like they would love to go camping.
Also, they match. They are horn buddies.
Also, Tik-Tok has a lot of stuff about them, so I recommend seeing them. I got the Band AU idea from it.
I imagine that they would become heroes when they are older. Eri would be like a new recovery girl, but scarier, and Kota would torture the children when they go to the training camp.
In my mind, Eri uses Aizawa's capture weapon, but she has it wrapped around her arms, covering her scars.
Also, while they are at the dorms, they are the Parent Couple. The two take care of their classmates with Kota stopping them from doing stupid shit and lecturing them, and Eri comforting them and healing their bruises.
Also, if Katsuma goes with them to class, he would be the baby.
"Oh, No! This is Bad! This is Bad! Stress is bad for the baby!"
"What baby?"
"ME! I'm the baby!"

@lobiita     |     unprompted.
Bellamy bursts into the room, as per usual, but this time he’s greeted by an unfamiliar face. It takes him back a little, but never once does his warm smile falter. “My darling baby girl, papa has arrived!” “— D-da! Stop saying weird shit there’s someone else here!” Although she hadn’t been on Ash’s lap or anything a sudden heat over takes her face and she pushes at his chest in order to place some distance between them. “Uh- um... Ash this is my dad. Dad this is Ash.” The man makes his way over, but freezes about seven feet away. Gut tells him he should give this guy space, picking up on a familiar sensation he used to get from Loni when she was younger. Outstretching a hand he cants his head, “is a hand shake okay, kiddo?”
❛     your dad?    ❜    silence takes over him at the introduction, bewilderment  turning into silent amusement,     dramatically pretending to stagger from the  push still. it’d caught him off guard,  but he might as well have his fun before he tilts his head, an owlish blink given at the offered hand.    he’s ... certainly thankful for the kindness  and  even  if he tenses for a second he glances at loni as if to ask for permission to reach out.       or to ask for encouragement. the other man was her father, plus their little exchange clearly showed that a lot of trust and bonding was existing.    if she cared for this man the least he can do is trust him. he’s still somewhat tense, it shows in the three steps it’s taking him to reach the other and in the little tremble of his hand.    but he is doing his best, offering a somewhat sincere smile. he tries to make sure his grip isn’t too strong but it’s hard, so instead he worries it may have been too lax.                                               socializing sure was ... something, at least.
❛     it is, thank you, sir.    ❜     he replies with a soft chuckle; an odd feeling washing over him.      it was as though some long forgotten part of him had been awakened again; like meeting a classmates parents, or making a new friend in elementary school.  and for a moment it stings that he can’t have a better comparison for the situation, but he shakes it off and offers a crooked, sheepish grin.                             ❛    it’s, uh, a pleasure to meet you, sir.   ❜ it takes a moment but at least his shoulders relax and he eases into a some -what comfortable stance.    to everyone experienced in reading him he was still clearly ready to flee,         but at least it wasn’t a downright ‘ i’m running ‘ posture anymore. it’s the best he can do for now. though it still feels a little awkward; what even was he supposed to say anymore?  loni already said his name so would it be weird if he introduced himself?  was he supposed to say he was a fan of his work ( / parenting )? was he supposed to say it was good to finally meet him? wait, no, he already kind of said that, didn’t he? oh heavens , he really was clumsy when it came to being social, huh?

She’s too loud.
She’s too needy.
She screams and cries all the time.
Isn’t there a medication you can put her on to make her behave??
Why does she act like this??
I just don’t understand why she’s such a problem child. She has everything she could possibly want and need.
There’s a bruise on her forehead from where she hit her head when she threw herself on the floor and a bruise around her wrist from where her mother grabbed her and she tried to pull away. She barrels around the pediatrician’s office like a little wrecking ball. Her mother is annoyed. Her father is worried. Darlene’s parents ignore her again to speak to the pediatrician, and when they don’t respond to her screams, she throws a doll at her father. The doctor’s expression is masked with concern. She asks the Aldersons if they’re responding before Darlene starts screaming. This warrants a, “There’s absolutely no excuse for her behavior. She’s impossible to deal with. Can you help us or not??” from her mother.
The pediatrician cannot help Darlene because the change needs to start with the Alderson parents. They don’t receive this well.
When they leave the office, her father hoists her up under one arm and says, “Should we stop for ice cream, kiddo??” But her mother shoots him a fevered look and exclaims, “After she behaved like that in the office?? Absolutely not. This is why she acts this way. You coddle her too much. We’re picking Elliot up and we’re going straight home.”
She sits sullen and silent in the backseat on the ride home, her arms crossed tightly across her chest. Her parents don’t acknowledge her silence. Her father asks Elliot how school was when he gets in the car. “Good,” Elliot says before falling back into his own silence. Their parents try to get more out of him--what was good?? What was the best part of the day?? What was the worst part of the day?? Darlene leans over and pinches Elliot’s arm. He tells her to stop it, but then he opens his backpack and pulls out a piece of paper with a crude drawing on it.
“We can hang that up when we get home,” he says. Darlene doesn’t remember what the drawing was but she remembers it made her happy.
-
She becomes more withdrawn when her father dies. Her mother doesn’t seem to notice, or perhaps she’s relieved that Darlene is finally leaving her be. She yells at Darlene for spilling orange juice on the floor. It wouldn’t have happened if her mother would have helped her when she asked, and Darlene did ask, she did tell her mom that she was hungry and thirsty and her mother responded by lighting up another cigarette and turning her head the other way. She grabs Darlene roughly by the wrist and drags her from the kitchen. Darlene kicks and screams and there are tears in her eyes when she says she’s still hungry. Her mother says, “You shouldn’t have made that mess in the kitchen then.” Darlene sits in her room and kicks the wall and hugs a pillow to her stomach. Her eyes burn from crying.
-
“I have ballet practice today.”
“Can’t you get a ride from the Mosses??”
“Angela’s in the older group now. She goes at four o’ clock instead of five.”
“You should have gone with her at 3 then. I’m not giving you a ride.”
She goes to Elliot’s room. He’s tinkering around with some old game system, tools strewn out in front of him.
“Walk with me to ballet.” He looks up, annoyance clear on his face. And why shouldn’t he be annoyed?? He’s not Darlene’s parent.
“Now??”
“Mom says you have to.” He sighs, and he rolls his eyes, but he stands up and walks with Darlene out of his room, out the front door, down the street. He tells her to hold his hand while they’re crossing the street. She’s always nervous that he won’t show up to pick her up, but he’s always there waiting for her. He always has a few dollars pocketed so they can stop at the diner and buy milkshakes and French fries. Darlene looks forward to this more than she looks forward to ballet sometimes.
Eventually, Elliot stops telling Darlene to hold his hand. Eventually, Elliot stops walking Darlene to her ballet recitals.
-
Elliot’s not here right now. She holds his hand until he comes back.
Elliot’s not here right now. She holds his hand until he comes back.
Elliot’s not here right now. She holds his hand until he comes back.
-
Their mother leaves for her first job well before Darlene and Elliot need to be up for school. Elliot doesn’t always get up, though. Darlene pours him a bowl of cereal. When they’re older, she pours him cups of coffee as well. She creeps into his room and leaves them on his desk. When it’s almost time to go to school, she goes into his room and tells him it’s time for them to leave. Sometimes he gets up. Sometimes he doesn’t. Sometimes Darlene stays home with him. Sometimes she doesn’t. When they’re younger, on some of the days where he gets up, they steal money from one of their mother’s various hiding places and play hooky to go watch movies or play games at the arcade all day long. They usually invite Angela along. She tags along some days, other days she doesn’t.
-
She chases the school bus when her brother and their best friend leave for school. She chases the train when her brother and their best friend leave for college.
-
She rides the train out of Washington Township when she is eighteen years old and she won’t be back until she receives a frantic phone call from her best friend childhood friend this girl she used to know, Angela, saying your brother disappeared again and we need to check his spots in Washington Township.
-
Darlene is not eighteen years old. She is eight years old and it is the first time she runs away from home. Her mother drives her to a lake and hands her a bag with the squirming kitten Darlene’s been hiding in their yard for the last few weeks.
“It’s just a fucking cat. It’s not capable of complex thought and it isn’t capable of loving you. You shouldn’t have kept the thing in our yard. They’re full of fleas and diseases.”
She’s choking on her sobs and shaking her head back and forth.
“I don’t want to. I don’t want to.” Her hands tremble and through tear blurred eyes, she can see her little cat peering out at her from inside the plastic bag. Moonpie’s eyes are wide, light green, innocent. This little kitten has shown Darlene more love and attention in the last few weeks than anyone has shown Darlene in her eight years in life. When Darlene goes outside, Moonpie runs to her, stands in her lap, headbutts Darlene’s chin. Adults are supposed to know more than kids. She thinks her mother is wrong about Moonpie. She thinks her mother is wrong about a lot of things.
Darlene is eight years old, and she is still quite small, but she shoves her mother with all the force in her tiny body and starts running in the opposite direction. She doesn’t look back to see if her mother fell over. She only hears her mother screaming her name and obscenities. She hears the car door open and a second set of footsteps and her brother’s voice joining her mother’s. Darlene clutches the kitten to her chest. The cold air stings her wet eyes.
When the police leave, Magda digs her nails into Darlene’s arm and drags her up to her room. Darlene screams and kicks her legs, screams, “I hate you!! I hate you!! I hate you!! I wish you were dead!!” Her mother slaps her hard and Darlene feels the familiar sting of open cuts on her face. Her mother hisses, “You stay in your goddamn room until I say you can come out,” and slams the door. When Darlene turns the knob, she’s met with resistance. Magda must have installed a lock on the outside of the door at some point over the last three days. Darlene kicks at the door until she’s too tired to kick anymore, and then she curls up by the door and sniffles until she falls asleep.
She wakes up to Elliot gently shaking her shoulder.
Magda locks Darlene in her room a few weeks later, when Darlene starts screaming again. She couldn’t tell you why she’s screaming, only that she’s sad and angry and by God, why won’t someone listen to her?? She remembers Magda screaming back, “I can’t deal with you anymore!!” Darlene picks her lock open with a bobby pin she finds tucked in her desk. Magda is sitting in her recliner smoking a cigarette and doesn’t pay any mind to Darlene when she comes stomping down the stairs and storms into the kitchen.
-
Magda doesn’t pay much mind to Darlene when she’s a teenager, visibly high or drunk and stumbling home in the middle of the night. Darlene will walk out the front door well after whatever established curfew Magda has for her with Magda sitting in that recliner, smoking a cigarette, and watching one of her shows, and Magda won’t say a word.
Darlene leaves a glass on the counter instead of putting it in the dishwasher. She’s asleep in her bed when Magda wakes her by throwing the glass against Darlene’s wall and starts yelling. You lazy, ungrateful piece of shit. You come and go as you please and leave messes everywhere you go. You never help out around the house. You expect me to do everything around here. Darlene’s still hungover from the night before so she squints at Magda through only partially opened eyes, waiting for Magda to finish her rampage and slam her bedroom door shut. She picks up the larger shards of glass that fell on her bed and rolls over. She finds little shards of glass in her sheets throughout the day.
-
Darlene is a teenager dancing on the table of a classmate’s dining room table. Darlene is a young adult dancing on the tabletop at a club. Her vision is blurry and her head is foggy. She smiles, she laughs, she takes another hit off the joint that’s passed to her. She leans against the bathroom door with her legs tucked tightly to her chest as she screams into her knees.
-
She rides the subways all day because there’s nowhere else for her to go. She sits with her headphones over her ears and her head lolled to one side. She closes her eyes and abruptly snaps awake a few minutes later. She dozes off again. Wakes up. Dozes off. Wakes up. Dozes off.
-
Her partner grabs Darlene by the wrist and tries to spin her around for the last time. Darlene balls her hands up into fists and starts pounding on their chest. She screams at them and tells them she doesn’t want to hear from them ever again. She hopes the next time she sees them they’re dead in a fucking ditch. They’d be doing the world a fucking favor. She bursts out of the apartment door and starts running.
-
She creeps out of Elliot her brother a stranger’s apartment in the middle of the night. He pays her little mind when they’re both in the same space. She feels panic in her chest when they’re in the same room now. She struggles to find words to say to him when they’re in the same space. It’s easier to leave, it will be better for both of them if she leaves. Living with a stranger is hard.

Time for some ~~~personal feelings~~~ bc boy oh boy we are full of them these days.
As part of the *class of 2020* going through any extraordinarily transitional time of our lives, this shit sucks, man. I mean the college class of 2020, which a lot of the media seems to be ignoring for the most part right now. Idk about you guys, but I haven't seen nearly as much stuff about graduating university students as I've seen about the high schoolers.
And don't get me wrong, this shit sucks for everyone. I'm sorry you kiddos are being deprived of your graduations, your goodbyes to high school, and having a wrench thrown in your plans for the future, whether it was college, jumping straight into work, or traveling to chase down your dreams.
But boy are we screwed over, too. And the more I see these sappy stories about all the heartwarming things that are being done for the graduates, the angrier I get. I've gotten past being sad about it, because you can only be sad for so long before you have to cope and your feelings change.
Now, I'm mad. I'm straight up pissed. I'm thousands of dollars in debt and can't qualify for the stimulus because I'm still dependant on my parents since I've been a full time student. But I'm also over 18, so they don't qualify for the extra money per child. I have an apartment at school that's been sitting empty since early March, yet I still pay for my refrigerator to run every month.
Just about every other person I've graduated with across the country is in the same boat, and I recognize that and I'm mad for us, because we're going to be job hunting with little to no experience in the worst market we've probably lived through. Idk about you, but I sure as hell wasn't working in 2008.
How do we get our lives off the ground now that practically the entire world has been grounded in place for their safety?
I'm mad this whole thing is happening, that millions of people across the world are dying, and self-righteous idiots can't get it through their thick skulls that wearing a mask isn't oppression and it isn't about them or their rights. It's about living and dying. It's that simple. But they can't get past their small-minded problems to understand the true suffering and hardships and sacrifices other people are making and dealing with, without throwing a tantrum, for the sake of everyone's health.
Oh, you can't get your roots touched up? I'm so sorry for you, but I don't know if or when I'll see my friends from college again. I don't know if I'll have a job to even be able to start repaying my loans in the next year.
I'm not normally the type to say "be grateful, others have it worse." But in this case...well. I don't even feel right about being upset about my problems. I know I'm not alone in this and I know that people are struggling to scrape by right now.
The point is, everyone has their problems to face, it just takes maturity and integrity to realize when the solution to your problem could mean causing greater hardship for others.
All I want right now for myself is real closure on my college experience. The job and the rest will come later, but I'm mad and still sad that I don't get to have the chance for my goodbyes to some of the best friends that I've made in my entire life. I love them and I miss them so much. I envy the high schoolers, because the ones that do go on to college will have a second opportunity at graduation. Not to mention they live in the same towns and cities as their classmates and friends.
I just feel like, as college and university graduates, we are the forgotten class. I hope employers realize what we're going through and consider it when hiring.
Stay safe out there. Love each other. Be there for each other.
