Her favorite flowers were those she clipped from others’ gardens.
She would receive shock treatments and head straight to work at Shillitos.
Oot naboot today on the outskirts of Cincinnati, mashing Geocaching and Cemeteries again. Came out to see the Stone Dollhouse at New St. Joseph Cemetery. The Stone Dollhouse was a playable dollhouse grave marker for the stone carver John Keatings three children who died very young. You can find this and more on Roadside America .com to aid in your trekking for the weird and interesting.
Also managed to pick up a couple geocaches at the same time- win!
The last of the day surprised me and made me sad I was out of favorite points. It’s rare that a micro will turn my head, but this one was all in the description. Do yourself a favor and read the bottom picture (I know- and smell this sound). It weirdly made my day.
Happy Hunting….

You know, watching the anime made me realize something, so I went looking.
We (manga readers, anime-onlies beware spoilers later on) already know Senshi’s tragic backstory and that the reason why he stays in the dungeon is to take care of it.
Early on in the manga, Senshi behaved with a complete disregard to Chilchuck’s orders to keep them safe. It’s possible Senshi behaved this way because he didn’t respect Chilchuck’s skills, or he thought that none of the traps would be able to harm him (due to being a dwarf). When he offered up his life to the orcs (before his vegetables, even), maybe he was simply trusting that Zon wasn’t actually going to kill them (despite them brutally murdering an entire pub in front of their eyes). But what if he simply…doesn’t care whether he lives or dies?
Senshi shows no interest in returning to society, preferring to keep to himself. He lives only for tending to the dungeon and cooking his next meal. He behaves recklessly with his own safety, and he hasn’t moved on from the trauma he experienced almost eighty years prior. He also believes that resurrection is unnatural, and accepts his own death with relative ease.
I think his survivor’s guilt left him passively suicidal, just waiting for his inevitable death to come to him, and holds fiercely onto Gillin’s final wishes that Senshi lives on as a reason to not seek it out.

Love that Oda had to add a refresher about Dorry and Brogy since we last saw them more than twenty years ago.

➳ Bookshop/Book Club AU + The Big Damn Kiss
You could listen to him for hours, watch how his mouth moved when he rambled about the latest book you read, a glass of red wine swirling in one hand while the other flipped through the book in his lap–always dog-eared, various bookmarks (receipts from the bookshop and the farmer’s market mostly) between his favorite pages, occasionally some thoughts scribbled in elegant handwriting on the side. Yeah, it was a book club that you’re holding in your shop once a week, but honestly you were more occupied with pining on the most handsome man you’ve ever laid your eyes on than whatever plot was happening on the pages.
When you first met him, he didn’t strike you as an enjoyer of romance novels, but the way he got worked up over them was something else (and you couldn’t help but think that he also looked like straight from the cover of one). Still–talking with him was easy, and even though you lost your trail of thought every so often when he gazed deep in your eyes while you spoke, Mihawk always looked enamored with you and your thoughts on the books you read. Your energies bounced off each other in perfect harmony and week for week you’re falling a little harder for each other.
It only takes you two a little more than a year of mutual pining for him to stay back once the book club ended for the night, lingering between the shelves, pondering and second-guessing if he really should take this step… but then you appear in his field of vision and all jittery feelings and doubts get washed away in an instant. He swoops you quite literally off your feet and the kiss that follows was one they write whole books about; sensual and passionate, like a thousand suns setting something ablaze within you, with a tenderness like you’ve never felt before.

I think gardening is one of those naturally mindful activities. This is probably why so many people enjoy it. Not only are you present, living in the moment focused on working on the plants, but you're also doing something with your hands and being in touch with nature.
I wonder if they've done studies on the effects of gardening on mental well-being 🤔
