Stay at home girlfriends is an important and promising new trend.

The piece I've just linked to is a lib-feminist attack on it, but provides and overview and interesting links for more information. This trend reported here seems to be about young women being supported very comfortably by partners on high salaries. But it also touches on couples who want to let the woman SAH through a simple lifestyle, even if his salary is more ordinary. One valid concern it raises however is that the women have no security until they get married. There is simply nothing wrong with a young woman living with her parents until her man is able to support her financially, without her doing a day's paid work in her life.

Today we went to another study for babies at USC in Los Angeles Ca, what we did today with Daisy was play with her and see if she can sit up and where her eyes focused on while we played on the mat. stay at home mom:

being a stay at home mom is one of the most rewarding experiences ever. who wouldn’t want to stay home with their baby/babies all day every day?!

but there is always that one group of people.

the ones who think we do nothing.

boy are they in for a ride of a lifetime. 🥴

my job isn’t just to wake up, drink iced coffee and go to the zoo.

my job is so much more. especially with a disabled baby.

my days are filled with tantrums, sleepy babes, appointments, and endless cleaning.

my job is 24/7. i don’t have the option to not be a parent. while my partner is out working, i’m at home working.

i’m waking the kids up, feeding them breakfast.

i’m changing their diapers, and dressing them.

i’m taking them to appointments, or myself (after finding a babysitter).

i’m entertaining them, and putting them down for bed.

all while taking care of them, my partner comes home to ‘relax after a long day of work’. which means he has a hot meal after his long day of work, and he doesn’t have to cook, clean, take care of the kids. all he has to worry about is unwinding after his work day.

my work day never. ends.

even throughout the night, i don’t sleep through. if my babies need me, i’m there for them.

i am a mom 24/7

i don’t get sick days or rest days.

hell, i don’t even get breaks!

but i do it all because i love my family, and wouldn’t trade it for anything.

New Beginnings

Life is always going to have its ups and downs, good days and bad days, happy changes and sad changes. We are the ones to take charge of which way life and its changes will go. 

  These past few days, I have decided to go through some mental and physical changes; especially now that my life is very quickly transitioning to a new stage and into a brand new adventure that YHVH is taking me through. I’ve been running very hard away from this new stage, but now that I am accepting it, He is showing me how wonderful it is and how it’s going to be.

Introduction

I’m just another mom try her best. No, really. I am a mom to two beautiful children, one girl (4) and one boy (3). My daughter is Autistic, and my son is... at this point; not diagnosed but could be either Autistic or have ADHD. 

I consider myself a “working stay at home mom”. I only work part time, and work the graveyard shift; so when I get home from work, I mom all day. 

I’ve reached a point in my life, in my 30s, where I see how I could have made better decisions in the past to have made my present day life more successful. There’s no sense in focusing on the past though, so I’m doing what I can to move forward now. 

I’ve decided to return to school in the fall. It has been over a decade since I attended school; and school definitely presents with more challenges and juggling in my life. But I recognize that this is what I need to make the most of myself, and provide the best life for my children in my family.

I’ve lived a very interesting life. I’ve grown up with a sibling with special needs, parents with addictions, and spent some time as a foster child. I’m now a 30-something year old mom with weight issues, financial struggles, and depression battles who is just trying to take one step at time, yet all at once, to improve my self quality and life.

Anyways, I’m just on here to blog the moments on this journey, and maybe this can reach someone who can relate. If you can relate to me at all; WE GOT THIS.

Something I hear a lot about is how, in the modern economy, it's financially difficult to be a housewife with three kids.

How do you manage it? Is it possible because your husband has a high-earning job? Or do you do what my parents do, and make a lot of financial compromises because you love this lifestyle? Or is it just more affordable in Germany than in the Anglosphere?

P. S. I've been reblogging a lot of your stuff for my blog. I may have a lot of religious differences with you, but I'm not going to try and evangelise to you, and I've always loved learning about other religions.

I think, with the uprising of prices it is really becoming more difficult and I know a lot of people who struggle and don't can stay home with there kids, like they want. How do I manage? Good question. I don't really know. I was staying home with our oldest when she was born, then the second came and then the third. We recieved quiet the amount from a helping fund when I find myself pregnant in the start of corona (in 2020, when we would take this really really serious) and with a husband, that job wasn't stable and a living situation, that wasn't fitting us. I don't feel, like we make compromises to keep this going. We don't become state aid (other then child money) - so maybe my husband is just high earning enough? Maybe we just lucky? *laugh* Yeah, we don't go on vacation. But we could, if we wanted? I making my driving lisence at the moment; we had to move, because our landlords son want our house - so that's this. We buy, what we can. We have a big enough car and so on. It's not like we wish for everything, but I grow up reather poor. So maybe I'm a bit more content with things than people, who grow up middle class and "know another way of living"? Sorry, that I don't have quiet an answer to this! I just do it. *laugh* P.S: Thank you for not pressing your religious outlook to me. I'm quiet happy with how it is and that is, what should matter. Hope you find yourself well and in good health.
