Would a homoflexiable( romantically), bisexual count as vari orientation??
of course yes. unless one is both bisexual anisosexual and biromantic anisoromantic (aniso- = homoflexible).
variorientation of anisoromantic (homoflexibleromantic) and bisexual would mean that, even though you may be attracted to the same number of genders both romantically and sexually, it may work differently.
homoflexible has different interpretations. you could prefer people of your own gender, you could be mostly attracted to the same gender (predominant same-gender/sex attraction), you could pursue or feel more intense attraction when you're partnering or in relationship with folks of similar genders, that you choose only to date your own gender, you're bicurious or have a fluid orientation.
so, for example, you're mostly attracted to the same gender romantically but in sexuality you don't have a preference or it's regardless of gender (some bisexuals define it that way), it would mean that you can be attracted sexually to someone but not romantically, usually because they are differently gendered/sexed. so in that way you'd be varioriented, because you can be sexually attracted to people you're not romantically into.

“When she (lesbian) and (gay) I had our first (heterosexual) kiss In the doorway of her midtown apartment, we were cautioned by a cop (straight?) I wonder if she found it as funny as I did; is Manhattan so uptight that a (straight) kiss is frowned upon?” - Laurence W. Thomas

I am begging people to understand how this sentiment of "WELL MONOSEXUALS AREN'T FLUID" (gay/lesbian/straight/whatever) is SO GOD DAMN harmful to sexual wellness (how we feel about all aspects of our sexuality - kink, fetish, BDSM, sexual orientation, poly vs mono for partners, etc.).
EVERYONE ON THIS GOD DAMN EARTH has the POTENTIAL to have some "wiggle room" or fluidity when it comes to what we find attractive in other human beings. We are social by nature. Even Aros and/or aces have the potential to experience brief instances of attraction towards someone, this doesn't magically cancel out their own identity. If a lesbian finds a man "hey, you got a nice looking body" or a gay man "hey that girl looks physically attractive" or a straight person "hey, I can see the aesthetic beauty in this person" DOES NOT MAGICALLY CANCEL OUT THEIR IDENTITY. Holy mother of God and burritos.

Percy Jackson LGBT headcanons? Don’t mind if I do.
Percy: Heteroflexible. He had a moment where he realized ‘Oh shit, maybe I’m not as straight as I thought..!’ after doing a workout session with Jason. He felt so guilty about being attracted to someone else’s looks, he immediately told Annabeth, freaking out and not knowing what to do, but she put a hand on his shoulder and said “Percy.. hun.. I love you, but I think you should know I’m the exact same way with Piper. But you’re the only person I love. It’s ok to think someone else is attractive occasionally. But thank you for telling me. Also, I’m bi.”
Annabeth: Bisexual. How else would the charmspeak work so damn well on her?
Grover: straight ally, but he has bi-wife energy
Nico: He’s already canonically gay. So not much to say here.
Thalia: Aro spec lesbian. I take 0 criticism. (When I was first reading the series, I thought her and Zoë were salty exes lmfao)
Jason: Pansexual. He’s attracted to Piper, Leo, Percy, everyone and he doesn’t know what to do about it because all of his friends are so damn hot.
Piper: homoflexible. She thought she was straight because her first crush was Jason, but she realized that she is usually attracted to women. Her and Percy are heteroflexible-homoflexible solidarity.
Leo: Have you SEEN him? What a bi disaster.
Frank: Straight ally, but he is aesthetically attracted to men
Hazel: heteromantic asexual. Not much to say here, I just like the headcanon
I’m currently only on Son of Neptune and I’m only in ~150 pages right now, so these are the only characters I really know enough about to give them headcanons.

"Homoflexible is just bi with a preference!" It really isn't... its more like a type of abrosexual/abroromantic, where your orientation literally changes, bi people like two or more genders all of the time, their orientation doesn't change, they're always bi, but they might be more drawn to one gender over the others, homo/heteroflexible people like one gender all/most of the time, and then occasionally feel attraction to another gender that they normally don't feel attraction to in addition to or instead of the primary gender.
So to sum it up,
Bi=attracted to two or more genders constantly, may be more drawn to a specific gender over others but still experiences attraction to two or more genders all the time
Homo/heteroflexible=attracted to one gender all/most of the time, occasionally experiences attraction to a different gender in addition to or instead of the usual gender they're primarily attracted to
Another example
A bi person is attracted to 2 or more genders 100% of the time vs a lesbiflexible person who is attracted only to women 90% of the time and attracted to men 10% of the time
It's not about how much you experience the attraction, but how often
There are also things such as "biflexible" that are kind of the reverse! So someone who is attracted to two or more genders most of the time, but is sometimes only attracted to one gender!

I made a post about labels being as useful/important as you make them and I want to branch off of that to specifically talk about the m-spec umbrella.
A lot of discourse exists over this but aside from that, I know a lot of people have struggled with not knowing exactly where they sit on that spectrum, when they have imposter syndrome with the label(s) they have chosen, dealing with being invalidated, etc. so heres some validation:
You're not inherently transphobic/enbyphobic for identifying as bisexual. Maybe it's just the term that's felt comfortable for so long and that's chill. Maybe you like it because it's a bit more vague than some other labels, maybe you use one of the lesser "known" definitions of bi even if it's a long standing one (i.e. attraction to the same gender as yourself and other genders), or maybe it's just the label you vibe with and the specific reason doesn't really matter!
Pansexuality doesn't mean you can't occasionally crave interactions (romantic/sexual/sensual) with people of specific genders! If your version of pansexuality is attraction regardless of gender, that doesn't mean that occasional drifts from your norm/usual magically means you have to change your label.
Omnisexuality isn't the exact same as pansexual and I know a lot of y'all are tired of hearing that it is. Overlap certainly exists and many people could identify as one or the other, but that's true for so many labels on different spectrums.
To my polysexuals, I too am frustrated with the constant correlation to polyamory (people think they're the same thing). I don't even identify as polysexual and I feel that pain.
You're still homo/heteroflexible even if you're dating one of your exceptions/rare cases of attraction to someone of that gender. You don't have to drop this label if it makes you happy and brings you comfort. Your sexuality is not invalidated by the person(s) you are dating.
M-spec gays/lesbians are so valid and boiling sexuality down to 100% strict AF labels is harmful. There's so many reasons one may identify as such, and regardless of your reasons, it's not any stranger's business.
Abrosexuals (who consider themselves/their label mspec) aren't confused. You're not doing anything wrong by acknowledging your sexuality is fluid and embracing that.
The multisexual umbrella is such a diverse and expensive spectrum that trying to reduce people down to one strict definition of being attracted to multiple genders is silly. Sexuality as a whole is a very complicated thing and can be experienced in so many ways. Sometimes something is just too vague for you personally, or even too specific, and that's chill. Whatever label or lackthereof makes you happy is the right choice.
