(why and how) The Heart of Naberius is Rhinedottir's plan to absolve herself

( a slight crack theory brought to you, by yours truly !!!!! )

I think that it’s sort of just a general fact that the amount of motives rhine could have to taking the heart of naberius are as plenty as there are theories on who and what paimon is ,,, but after a long and hard night of thinking (chugging three bottles of water and listening to the silver thread soundtrack) I came to the very indecisive conclusion that may or may not be using it for the purpose of absolving her sins.

As far as we know (and can assume) ; the Heart of Naberius is some adjacent to a gnosis, mostly due to the idea of ‘hearts’ and it holding some inordinate amount of power – whether that be because it IS a gnosis, or is some sort of primitive/alternate version for another level of power in celestia’s hierarchy is debatable, but it still stands that it more or less likely holds a similar purpose and power as the gnosis the archons have. In the Fontaine archon quest; it is very much drilled into us that a gnosis has a WHOLE lot of meaning besides just being a communication gateway between both archon and celestia. We find out not only that, hey!! those are actually the third descenders’ corpse!! lolsies!!! – but also that they have SOME association with the sovereign’s power, whether that be on their own or through their respective god/archon. Since, by Neuvillette acquiring it after Focalor’s death, he - for the most part- properly gains back his abilities and powers as the Hydro Sovereign

And obviously, that's all fine and dandy!!! Woohoo for gnosis lore!! But in the case of looking at Rhinedottir; that adds a WHOLE lot of weight onto her possible plan with the Heart of Naberius.

Beginning at just the cataclysm, there’s a clear connection between Rhinedottir and ‘Dragons’; > Two of her most prevalent creations are both Durin & Elynas ; and a common thread between the two is their CONTINUOUS description of being ‘otherworldly’ or ‘disfigured’ in some manner ^ This is incredibly important because it directly aligns with what would be expected of the Dragon Sovereign. They lived in a Teyvat which is noted to be much, much harsher and different from the modern-day; And so, that would imply that, evolutionary, they would’ve evolved to be built for far, far more rugged and tough landscape then what Teyvat is today– we even see this fact in comparing Apep to just Dvalin & Azdaha ; she’s notably larger, and far, far more intimidating and ‘otherworldly’ to put it simply. ^ This is important because, quite evidently, both Elynas and Durin in no way appear to be ‘made’ for Teyvat. Both, when compared to other draconic-creatures, are out of place; Being excessive in size, notably different physical appearances (think difference between how Durin is described “black skeletal dragon with glowing red eyes. His wings have long veins running along the folds.” VS Dvalin who’s described as “that bejeweled, lovely dragon”) Both of their appearances directly align with the line of thinking you’d have with the sovereign; and even more, it’s clear from comparing just Apep & Elynas– Both have serpentine like forms, which are excessive in size, which can also harbour life in them. Which, I REALLY doubt is a coincidence . ^ Plys, even more, Just their abilities alone clearly surpass some of the more powerful entities we’ve met. As is seen in Durin and Dvalin’s battle during the cataclysm; where Durin (to put it very very kindly) almost completely wiped the floor, and probably would have, if he hadn’t become aware of WHAT he was doing. This fact alone already establishes that all of the dragons Rhinedottir has created have in no way aligned with the standards of Teyvat as it is today, because even in fighting an archon and celestial dragon– these abilities are FAR excessive in strength and power. Meaning that, more or less likely; they were intended for survival in a far, far harsher environment– one akin to Teyvat prior to the primordial one. ^ Also, although it’s a bit more crude of an idea; this can explain why subject two was not killed after being essentially fed to Durin ; as it can imply that there was some trait in his anatomy that fostered his growth while in dvalin’s belly, rather than digesting and ACTUALLY killing him. And the only known dragons, and notable creatures, to have that ability IS Apep; one of the Dragon Sovereign. > All of this would imply that, as of that point, there’d already been an attempt to resurrect/recreate the sovereign for one reason or another.

And, even more, by just looking at the real mythological Naberius himself, he “restores lost dignities and honors,” ; which aligns terribly well with the narrative of Rhinedottir attempting to restore her dignity and honor as a scientist, and someone who was clearly working to provide food and resources to the people of Khaneriah, by erasing her title as a ‘sinner’, let alone The Great Sinner

// This is maybe where I go a little more off the rails by throwing Albedo into this mess. Everything beyond this point is babbling.

Albedo’s involvement;

We know that Albedo was, obviously, born after the cataclysm; and this isn’t all to consequential until you remember a certain Iudex who was brought into power 400~ years ago, meaning that, as of the point Albedo was created; Rhinedottir would’ve been be fully aware of Neuvillete’s existence ,, which implies a WHOLE lot of things.

If the gnosis truly does hold the power of the dragon sovereign; this could explain Albedo’s purpose. At that point in time; Rhinedottir would be formally aware that The Dragon Sovereign can, and are, as far as Neuvillette goes, reincarnated as humans. Meaning that she didn’t have to keep making dragon after dragon, to fulfill her goal; and instead, just had to make a human. // Just looking at them alone; both Neuvillete and Albedo hold PLENTY of similarities in their stories that can imply that, in some way, Albedo’s creation and story/fate may or may not take major inspiration from Neuvillette himself // Both feel as if, in some way, they’re ‘separate’ from the rest of humanity; They’re both notoriously unfamiliar with a plenty of things, which if you squint a bit at; have the same base concept and ideas. They’re both actively learning to understand humanity through another person, too > Neuvillette, through Furina and her continuous insistence, learns all about humanity; their sorrows, their ambitions, their sacrifice, etc… – and, it can very easily be assumed the one reason he’s not a total and complete recluse is DUE to her pushing and prodding for him to get out, and experience humanity as it is. > Albedo shares a similar point of learning through Klee,, with her acting as his line between his research, and the people of Mondstadt– and just as Furina does Neuvillete- she acts as his reason to connect and learn about humanity, as through her, he takes break from his continuous work and research in dragonspine, to come to Mondstadt!! (this probably isn’t a very good explanation of klee & albedo’s lore,, but one of my loveliest mutuals @haidengjiehas a ton of very very very amazing explanations on their blog that explains their relationship in a lot more depth and thought if you want to understand them more !!!!!!!! )

// They also both share a common theme of wanting to learn of, or acquiring some ‘truth’ – and even though this is a common plot device in most of the characters in genshin– i think it’s very important with these two especially; because, more often than not, this truth is derived from humanity itself; > Neuvillete, prior to coming to Fontaine, was likely horribly similar to Apep in thought and perspective. We even see so in his character stories, and lack of understanding around humanity as a whole; that he had no initial understanding of humans, or modern Teyvat, prior to being Iudex. However, it’s established that as of after Fontaine's archon quest; he has officially learned what's essentially the ‘truth’ to him; that humans aren’t what he has made them out to be, all this time; that, instead, they’re dynamic. They experience both joy and sorrow, selfishness and sacrifice– and that above all, they’re not in any way the seemingly despicable entities he likely initially thought them to be for many, many years ( think his “He would never admit that he himself had become quite fascinated with the joys and sorrows of humanity.” line in his 5th character story) > Albedo also shares this common thread of narrative !!! Albedo, prior to becoming chief alchemist of the KOF, likely had little to no understanding of humans outside of Rhinedottir, which would imply it definitely wasn’t the.. best of opinions, if she was all he was going based off of. But, in becoming Chief Alchemist; he was put into a position where he was now exposed to all sorts of people. He was exposed to warmth and love , ambition and determination, and the way many people cope with the adversities in their life. ^ And, even though we haven’t seen him come to his ‘truth’ yet, we can very well anticipate that this truth is meant to be obtained through this exact manner as Neuvillete’s. In his 5th character story, we see him note "I hope this isn't just wishful thinking, but... when parents speak to their children about 'the meaning of this world'... surely they just mean the pursuit of a happy life?" which, given his very, very clear intelligence and better understanding of the world and humanity now; it’s cleary implied that he’s likely already surmised in some way that Rhinedottir had this intention in sending him out into the world (Thinking back to my Rhinedottir knowing she could never provide Albedo a real example of humanity post,) ; similarly to how Neuvillette had– she wished for him to acquire this truth through understanding and experiencing humanity.

Roping this all back into this purpose; this could very well entail that, similarly to how Neuvillette is to the Fontanians and their sins, Albedo’s purpose is to act as salvation for Rhinedottir, (or even khaneri’ah as a whole, if you wanna get REALLY into it) The gnosis, after Neuvillete's acquisition of it, allowed for him to regain his authority; and forgive the ‘sins’ of the people of Fontaine. The event during which he forgives these sins, prior to what happens, is very, very much similarly referred to as whatever event albedo is to ‘lose control’ during.

// Both of these events have inherently negative connotations. Obviously, the flooding of Fontaine was implied to result in the death of every single Fontanian; However, it ended up being the opposite– As, after Neuvillete finally realized ‘truth’ he chose to save them, rather than fulfill his original intent to not do anything to save them, which would’ve had them all killed (Think the fact he came to fontaine with a similar mindset as Apep towards humanity and modern Teyvat.) ^ As of now; whatever Albedo has been referring to has had VERY similar treatment. In almost every instance of Albedo mentioning it, he almost always implies it isn’t gonna end well; and by law of assumption, that leaves us thinking Mondstadt going bye-bye. ^ The issue with this, though, is his acquisition of truth. He has, as of yet, not found out what ‘the truth of this world’ really is; mostly due to him not fully understanding where to begin with it. He has the idea, obviously; we see the budding of those thoughts in him thinking that maybe Rhinedottir really had just wanted him to live a happy life to achieve the truth– and, if that were the case- that would mean the exact mirroring of Neuvillete’s story; which could very well imply that whatever this event of him ‘losing control’ is, can be controlled and prevented in a roundabout way.

/// We can also very well assume that, similar to Neuvillette, in Albedo ‘losing control’ ; he’s bound to gain some abilities which would shoot his power scaling up. T > This power is very likely going to come from the Heart of Naberius; as it’s a recurring theme in almost every one of rhine’s creations, that there power and entire being is derived from their heart (hence why they’re such important elements in their stories) and being as right now, out of all her “miraculous creations” , he has yet to gain a real and monumental demonstration of a physical heart ; and there’s no other painstakingly obvious source for this newfound power THEN the Heart of Naberius. ^ Upon obtaining this power, he would be made to make the choice between fulfilling what he believes was his intent to gaining that power; or the opposite, and saving Mondstadt instead– which is more or less likely to be the case; which if you wanted to get symbolistic with it, could really show him obtaining a ‘heart’– as hearts are mostly commonly utilized to represent love and compassion.

// > And, if we’re still assuming that some portion of the dragon sovereign’s authority is held within the gnosis, and the Heart of Naberius IS a gnosis of some kind; this would then align him in under the same logic of how Neuvillete describes himself, “he is one strong enough to equal and rival "the human realm," and logic would dictate that he need not subscribe to this system known as "fate."” This explanation would also explain Mona’s lack of note on his constellation in her voiceline around him. ^ The importance of Mona's voiceline is that it’s the EXACT same thing that happened in Fontaine. The Traveler & Paimon were at a point of understanding that Fontaine was destined to be destroyed, with everyone being bound to turning back into oceanids ^ However, Nicole (and what we can assume is the rest of Hexenzirkel) are aware this is not the case. And although Nicole does not fully disclose it to us, she in no way insinuates that what we know is the full truth. // This aligns with Mona’s reaction, as it shows her neither confirming or denying Albedo’s fate in discussing his constellation; she instead steers around the topic, and merely spends her voiceline about him talking about him as whole– not his constellation, or anything pertaining to it and his fate– only who he is. She would know we’re aware of what we believe is bound to happen to Albedo; because we’re REPEATEDLY established as being some of those closest to him, so it’s not as if she’s hiding it for his safety, or privacy – instead she’s vehemently avoiding the topic, implying she knows something we don't; and that she can’t tell us, as if we were to know– it’s very likely we could in some way throw off fate; Think how we, as a descender, have the power to change Teyvat’s fate. And in us knowing what is fated to happen, we could in some way act abnormally due to that knowledge, and change what was originally bound to happen– which would alter the course of destiny, which could very well then lead to all hell for Albedo. // ^ this can also explain what we assume is her ignorance towards Rhinedottir. In knowing Albedo’s fate is not what it really is, and stated to be– and is instead far, far better than it; she would be aware Rhinedottir does not have wholly bad intentions, and neither is a monster sending her son to slaughter, hence her not lambasting her at any point– and even indirectly saying she’d wish would’ve rather not had Barbeloth as her master, while discussing the way Albedo had turned out, while RAISED by Rhinedottir ; which very, very much implies she finds some good qualities in her, to warrant that opinion (Because, as much as Mona may not like Barbeloth; I’d doubt she’d prefer a supposed homicidal maniac who has fated literally every one of her children to death, had that been the case.)

// Obviously; there’s also the point and situation that the gnosese themselves don’t hold the Sovereign's power; but even then, there’s a very clear way to escape that paradox of a problem. If we follow the alternative theory that the archon/god in relation to a gnosis needs to be killed, resulting in the destruction of their ‘throne’ and release of the sovereign authority; then Rhinedottir’s obviously capable of making that happen. We see VERY clearly that Rhinedottir has knowledge and ability that can kill god, as if Durin was able to do all that to Venti & Dvalin; it’s been over 500 years since she created him, and if there’s anything to be established about Rhinedottir– it’s that she’s HIGHLY ambitious. So it’s right of assumption that at some point over the past few centuries, she’s definitely acquired enough of the knowledge/ability and power required to create an entity, or strategy, to dispose of whatever god is directly connected to the heart of Naberius. ^ This is even established by her following the Shade Of Life’s steps; She would, and does, clearly have the plan to gain some authority/power in equivalence to celestia, and it can be a possibility that she’s mirroring the Shade Of Life as her example to achieve such status. (Since shades are direct fragments of the primordial one; it can be assumed they’re some of the most powerful entities in Teyvat; which would explain why Rhinedottir would mirror one.) ^ This would then explain her absence. Similarly to both Focalors and Neuvillette; Neuvillete functions just as he does with no idea of Focalors’ plan, and Focalors works behind the scenes to orchestrate everything so that it all plays out as she intends it.

Does this imply Rhinedottir may or may not self sacrifice? Maybe. Can this also imply another Focalors & Furina parallel being established between Rhinedottir and a new “Miraculous Creation” she may have made over the past 400-ish years since albedo? Maybe. Does this also maybe-possibly mean that Rhinedottir smoked multiple pipes using the leaves of irminsul tree to obtain this absurd amount of knowledge? Perhaps. Am I gonna elaborate? (I'm about to kill you here Mushie) I just realized, no one has ever written about this position. Let's use snf as an example (for Sap's thunder thighs)

Sapnap chilling on the couch until George decides to be annoying and sits between his legs on the floor, constantly jostling his comfortable position, talking through the whole movie, tugging his leg hair. Sapnap eventually just leans forward and snatches George’s tiny wrists, pulls them out so he's T posing in a way and sets his legs over his biceps. When he releases George’s wrists, the weight of his legs pressing his keeps his arms pinned out, he can't even reach past his thighs with his bent elbows. Sapnap just takes out his annoyance slowly and methodically, working all of George’s tickle spots in just the way he knows how, to drive George crazy, even worse for him is he's so close to grabbing him but he can only brush his fingers against his wrists

first off. i am so so sooooo sorry im so late on this (i know you dont care but IM SORRY ANYWAY)

second. i adore the trope of a lee almost being able to stop the ler, but stopping just short of it. it's so incredibly cruel for absolutely no reason. its perfect

….anyway, lets get into it

we all know how much of a little shit george is - he's a natural brat, he just cant help it! its not his fault he was born like this! but regardless, there are people who take it better than others. dream and sapnap being the perfect example. i mean, dont get me wrong; dream absolutely gets annoyed by george, but hes just so fond of him that he normally just lets it slide

but sapnap? absolutely not.

the day he learns how ticklish george is is the best day of sapnap's life. he uses it for everything; to get george to give in to whatever sapnap wants, to cheer george up when hes grumpy, to punish george when hes annoying. and boy is george annoying

so its no surprise (even though it always is to george somehow) when sapnap suddenly growls out a quiet "that's it" from between his clenched teeth before grabbing george's wrists, pulling them quickly out to the sides against the couch cushions behind him. sapnap throws his thighs quickly over george's arms, successfully trapping his arms and his body in place from where hes sat between sapnap's legs on the floor

george is immediately pleading, never having been in this vulnerable of a position before and finding it incredibly flustering. sapnap can tell, and he plays it up. he pokes his pointer fingers under each of george's arms once, making him yelp and try to yank his arms down. but sapnap's weight keeps him practically immobile from his waist up, trapped between and under the strong thighs of his friend

sapnap would coo at him, reaching a hand up to ruffle his hair as george let's his head fall back into sapnap's lap to look up to him. his boba eyes are glassy and wide, clearly full of nerves and excitement at the compromising position hes found himself in. sapnap would laugh, loving how much of a mess george was already before slowly drawing circles in the middle of his underarms, sending him into hysterics

he digs into each and every rib, making sure to take his time to really dig between them. he makes sure that george feels every single tiny spark of ticklish energy as intensely as he can, and george swears fireworks are exploding under his skin. his eyes are wet, and whenever george flings his head back to laugh sapnap can see the trails of wetness down his cheeks from the tears. sapnap flutters his fingers over george's stomach, making sure to press gently at the lower tummy a couple of times to make george buck his hips up into the air....it's much easier for sapnap to latch onto them this way :D

eventually sapnap makes his way back up under george's arms, and it's then he remembers just how sensitive his triceps are. so he drags his nails there experimentally. just a tiny scratch on the soft skin of george's right tricep. the reaction is insane. george screams like someone is killing him before breaking out into the most ridiculous high pitched cackles sapnap has ever heard. his cheeks are bright red and he’s pleading every chance he can.

unfortunately, it goes without being acknowledged

sapnap switches to lightly dragging his fingers over both triceps, and george enters a whole different level of hysteria. george is frantic, bending his arms as much as he can. his fingers are outstretched and lightly brushing against sapnap's knuckles, but never reaching far enough to grab them to stop the tickling. it's a never ending loop of torture, and being so close to successfully putting an end to it makes everything ten times worse. sapnap uses both hands on one of george's triceps and his laugh goes silent, signaling to sapnap that it's time to stop

of course sapnap slides down onto the floor with george, cuddling into him and hugging him tight. george continues giggling deliriously, still feeling an overflow of ghost tickles all throughout his body. he whines and complains to sapnap that it's not fair, that he hates him, but george stays glued to sapnap's side the rest of the night, just absolutely floaty and giggly and completely satisfied

Thinking about the first time Michael starts to question his identity.

He's sitting with one of his cabin mates and a couple other campers who are talking about TV crushes. When they ask him what his were he just answers in confusion. He thought they were joking. Surely you can't feel all that about someone you don't even know?

The second time is listening to head counselors telling some of the myths around the campfire. Michael pays a bit more attention to the lover stories then before, again confused why so many gods go after someone the way they do.

The third time is about a year into his friendship with Jake. He noticed he'd been feeling different but he didn't think much of it. He figured it was anxiety given the poisoning of their tree and border.

But then Jake hugs him out of excitement one night after they won why on the same side in capture the flag. The other apologizes immediately for doing so suddenly, but Michael's too busy feeling like he's gonna melt into a puddle.

He immediately goes to Lee. Confused as he was absolutely certain he didn't have fever nor was sick.

Lee just can't help but laugh. Playfully teasing his brother about "having his first crush"

Michael has to stop and process that one for the next few days.

It doesn't help that Jake is such a clutz and always seems to be in the infirmary over some dumb thing, Michael can't avoid him.

He can't help but notice small details about Jake now then he had before, suddenly the feeling he's been having making somewhat more sense.

Lee finally convinces him to brave up and confess to Jake one night away from ears and eyes.

Jake nearly falls on the spot.

Apparently Jake's like Michael for awhile.

Michael explains his conflicted feelings to Jake, who tells him there's no problem in taking things by ear.

So, they start dating in secret why both are trying figure themselves out and ●♡●

Jake getting comfortable with being Unlabeled/Queer and Michael getting comfortable with being Demi.

Lee and Beckendorf are two the few that are aware of the relationship, both brothers 100% take any chance to tease the love birds.

Will's told for no other reason then he is attached to Michael's hip. Jake sees him as another younger sibling-

Though Will did threaten to send him to the infirmary if he hurts Michael- Jake's not sure how to feel about that.

BANG CHAN . . . is the type of boyfriend who'd love late night drives. life in the dorm could be hectic, adding on his work load too. . . ? so much stress. there are times when he needs quiet time, resulting to you receiving a text from him — saying something along the lines of: "pick you up in ten, feeling like going on a late night drive right now." the air-conditioner would be at the right temperature, music at the right volume. in case it gets a little too cold for you, do not fret, he always has an extra jacket hung on the seat for you. he has a playlist specially for late night drives with you, filled with sensual songs that remind him of you. lots of the neighbourhood and cigarettes after sex in the playlist. as chan drives, you could hear the tapping of his pointer against the steering. he'd go for a drive-thru at mcdonalds as well, for nuggets and ice cream. you don't have to worry about a thing, just sit still and pretty beside him and sing along with him. on nights when the stars are exceptionally bright, he'd park at a field and drag you to lay down on grass. stargazing with him is always nice — simply laying in silence as cicadas sing, basking in the warmth of his body beside yours. he's a sucker for holding hands as well, so you'll never feel your hands get cold.

LEE KNOW. . . would take you cafe-hunting. it's a known fact that minho's the kind to be eager to visit famous cafes. he's not a fan of tiktok but ever since you mentioned the abundance of cafe content on tiktok, he downloaded it solely to look at cafe reviews. he'd even go to the lengths of reading articles too. if you ever look at his google bookmarks, it's filled with articles of cafes he'd love to take you someday. while you're at it, check his notes app too — there's a folder entitled "y/n," full of places to visit with you and even your interests. if he wants to visit a particular place with you, he'd have to check if the place fulfills your likes and dislikes, wouldn't he? he wouldn't just take you to any trendy place, he'd double-check to ensure that the cafe serves the types of food you like, the scenery you enjoy. a lot of the cafes he takes you to have pretty backgrounds so he could snap beautiful pictures of you. minho's also the type of boyfriend to hold your doors and drag a chair out for you. a total gentleman. you wouldn't have to lift a finger with him — he'll plan the date, he'll do the reserving, he'll open the doors, hell, he's the one to swipe his credit card against the merchant. one of the cafes he'd take you to would definitely be a cat cafe. you and cats? heaven in earth for him. minho has special places he never shows anyone but you're an exception. he'd happily show you the spots he'd go to everytime life gets a little tough.

CHANGBIN. . . is a family person. the moment your relationship gets serious, don't be shocked to find out that he constantly talks about you to his family. changbin's family is everything to him, so he'd definitely let them know about the person he's currently dating. just three months in, and he's already inviting you to his family gatherings. (only if you're comfortable, of course!) if you get nervous, he'd gladly give you tips to win over his family's heart. when you help his mother out in the kitchen, he'd lean against the door frame in awe, watching his two favourite people work together. extra points if you bring a fruits basket for his family — you could visibly see him swoon even more for you. on the dinner table, you'll be shocked to hear his mother ask you questions about work, saying things like, "so i heard you just started a new job, how's it going?" it really shows that he truly talks about you to his family a lot. his mother even has a couple pictures of you two together in her phone, for her to show it off to other relatives.

HYUNJIN. . . thinks picnics is the most intimate activity ever. the thought and the care you'd have to put into having a picnic is a lot. he loves the process of having a picnic — from choosing a spot, preparing the food down to having it itself. he'd happily drive around to look for spots to have a picnic at, would save the location in his phone. usually, hyunjin would choose a spot with colorful flowers scattered across green grass. he's not one to wake up early in the morning but if you suggest a picnic at dawn then he's totally down. would be glad to be waken up early solely to help you prepare the food for the picnic. he's half-asleep on the kitchen counter seat while you make sandwiches but hey, the little snores he lets out is adorable. he thinks it's cheesy that you cut the sandwiches into heart shapes but you know he secretly adores it. if he hates it so much, he wouldn't take pictures of them to upload on bubble, would he? on days when hyunjin feels particularly fancy, he'd help you make a charcuterie board. he'd wake up early in the morning to take you grocery shopping, an airpod in his ear and the other in yours as you stroll down the aisles hand in hand in search of ingredients. he'd look for seedless grapes and the best tasting cheese. i can see him being excited to organize the ingredients onto a wooden platter, would even request you to pop the grapes into his mouth like he's some sort of king. hyunjin would also pack his sketch book and art supplies. he'd make you pose and paint a portrait of you. the reward you'll get is kisses in between the painting session. if you're the artsy type, he'd definitely ask you to paint him too, wants to see how you perceive him. he finds you so pretty when he slips a flower in your hair (or your hijab!) homeboy would take a gazillion pictures of you on his camera. when neither of you feel like painting, he'd write love poems. he'd write the most endearing verses about you — how he thinks you're the most enchanting person he's ever met. sometimes, he'd take kkami along too! you'd end up laughing while watching him and his beloved puppy play fetch, it's like your own little family. picnics with hyunjin are always intimate, you could lay down on the blanket with him for hours.

HAN. . . is a homebody. lounging around in his room with you is sufficient for him. jisung doesn't mind repetitive routine, so much that it has become an unspoken routine for you to pop up by his door every wednesday only in his sweatshirt and his sweatpants which you stole ages ago. despite expecting your visit, he always has the biggest grin ever at the sight of your darling face. the automatic question you'll get everytime you show up is: "wanna order takeout?" the two of you already have your favourite restaurants' numbers in favourites. even the servers would already remember your names and usual orders. he loves holding you on the couch, bodies entangled while watching a tv show or a movie. jisung would totally try to get you into anime — would make you watch his favourite ones. i feel like he'd enjoy animes like jujutsu kaisen and attack on titan — you can't tell me his favourite character wouldn't be itadori yuji. don't fret, he'd take into account your suggestions as well. he had written the shows you and him plan to watch somewhere in his notes app. days when felix happen to be baking would be the best, he'd steal brownies from the younger, earning groans. oh! and if he finds out you watched a latest episode of a show without him, he'd turn all whiny. series of "you don't love me anymore," "you're a traitor!" would slip past his lips.

FELIX. . . is a baker through and through! everybody knows this boy unwinds by baking, and he'd happily bake with you! you never not have a good time with this boy, he's so passionate when it comes to baking. would send you recipes he wants to try, is even generous enough to share his brownies recipe with you. he'd stand behind you, one hand on your waist and the other on your hand as you mix the ingredients in a bowl. occasional flour fights, no doubt about it — so much fun that sometimes seungmin and jeongin would join in. you can send a recipe video on tiktok and he'd immediately reply by saying, "let's go!" the next thing you know, he sends you a picture of a grocery cart full of the ingredients required. loves baking cookies with you, to the point where he'd make ones with fun shapes. on days when you're stressed at work, you'll find a container of heart-shaped cookies along with a note on your office desk. isn't he the most precious angel? he'd suggest to bake extra too, to send to your family and friends :(( near the holidays, you two would have a gingerbread house competition. loser has to do the winner's laundry for a week! he'd get so competitive. expect him to be so focused, tongue poking out at the side of his mouth, piping bag tightly held in hand. so focused that even when you swipe some batter onto his cheek, he wouldn't notice. he'd decorate his gingerbread house so prettily, full of m&ms as festive lights and icing sugar as snow. he claims that it's your future house with him. felix would be such a darling boyfriend.

SEUNGMIN. . . is your typical english major. his love for books would infect you as well. an ideal date for him would be to bask in each other's company, a book in each one's hands. at times you'd read in his room, at a cafe or at a library. . . any peaceful place you can find. you'd be seated on his lap, head buried in his chest. he would be holding the book over your head, legs wrapped around your waist. reading dates become so often that you'd have a designated spot at your local library. it's a spot by a window sill, overlooking a lake, with two bean bags (though you usually share one) and a marble coffee table. even the librarian knows the two of you! coos everytime you walk in with him, hand wrapped around his pinky. after your reading sessions you'd walk to a cafe nearby to get donuts and coffees. i believe seungmin is one to dog-ear his pages and open the book as wide as he could. you can lecture him and get him bookmarks yet he wouldn't listen — in his opinion, how destroyed a book gets mirror how much he enjoyed reading it. this boy annotates his book too — thoughts scribbled onto pages, some words circled. the cutest thing is when you find certain scenes underlined, with "reminds me of y/n" written at the side. seungmin pretends to be unbothered but he's actually such a pining boyfriend at heart. he remembers your favourite genres, so it's not a shocker if he gifts you a book out of nowhere, without any special occasion. i also think that he would want to annotate one book together with you! your annotations would be in blue, his in black. it's nice to reread and see the annotations, they make him smile.

I.N. . . is a sucker for matching outfits! so much that he literally plans to match an outfit with you three days ahead of the planned date. some of the matching outfits you'd do is him in a green sweatshirt, while your skirt is the same colour. it's not the exact same outfit, it matches in a subtle yet obvious way. he gets so into matching outfits with you that he has a whole pinterest board dedicated to matching outfits inspiration. the name of the pinterest board would be some corny shit he would never admit to you. this man would quite literally lay out the clothes for you on your bed. all you'd have to do is to put them on. would want to do your make-up as well! you'd sit in front of him on the floor, legs criss-crossed as he dabs blusher onto your cheeks. puckers up his lips in order to make you pucker up yours, then would put on lipstick carefully. after you're done, be ready to twirl in front of him about a billion times. he just can't get enough of you! can't get enough of how beautiful you look in an outfit matching his, can't get over the pretty smile youd have plastered on your face. he's also the type to take mirror selfies with you. it's a must for him to have at least one mirror selfie with you everytime you coordinate clothes. would change his lockscreen to a different mirror selfie every week too. it's to the point where the boys would notice — jeongin gets teased for being damn whipped but he doesn't care. he enjoys doing it with you, anyway. also! sneaky pictures! jeongin would 100% sneakily take candid photos of you, for the times when he misses you. he'd adoringly stare at those photos. everytime he comes home from tour, he'd buy you clothes or souveniers that he thinks you'd like. he never takes off the matching rings he has with you either — it's embedded on his skin like a tattoo. jeongin's big on matching things and giving gifts — and he's not shy to let it be known.

-Mostly he likes taunting them about being at his mercy or being helpless, or runs little ticklish experiments on them

-Breakdown the one he tickled the most until….. yeah, and then it’s Starscream who has to deal with it the most

-Usually tickles Starscream for being a brat and is generally pretty playful about it

-Has “accidentally” tickled Megatron at least once before

Lee:

-“WATCH THE PAINT”

-He will run away. Very quickly

-Hard to catch

-Lots of nervous laughter, if not for being chased than for getting scraped up

-Most ticklish on his belly/sides

-His audios are a little ticklish as well. He gets very giggly, particularly if they’re nibbled on

-Sensitive palms. He gets twitchy when people’s trace patterns on them

-His laughter is either silky and nice to listen to or extremely goofy. There is no in between

-He’ll flail a lot if he’s pinned down, but he’ll curl up to try and protect himself if he gets the opportunity

-Doesn’t really mind being tickled, as long as it’s gentle on his plating. He is a little embarrassed by it though

-He’s usually too busy laughing and trying to defend himself to talk all that much, so when he does speak it’s usually when it’s getting a little too much for him

-Again, he used to have tickle fights with Breakdown. After Breakdown died, he wasn’t tickled nearly as much anymore, but occasionally Starscream will prod him in the side

-The definition of a bastard

-He loves using anticipation as a weapon. Wiggling his claws, scraping them gently on plating that isn’t ticklish, things like that

-Also the taunting!!

-He’ll probably talk to whoever he catches for like a minute before doing anything to them, just to brag about catching them and then threaten with what he’s going to do to them

-Unless they’re bigger than him and then he has to save that for when he’s weakened them because otherwise he’s screwed lmao

-Has tickled Megatron once

-Regretted it immediately

-Sometimes he does like to chase people, but he’d prefer to stalk after them and pontificate instead of run

-More open to tickling than most other Decepticons, but he still thinks it’s a bit silly and below him

-But he likes that he can get tough bots to crack with something so playful and “childish”

-If whoever he’s tickling is smaller than him, he’ll usually pick them up or pin them somewhere so they can’t escape

-But if they’re bigger he has to kinda just wrap himself around them and hold on until they collapse

-He’s more than capable of being rough or gentle, depending on what works better. He has to be really careful he doesn’t cut anyone with his claws though

-Usually considers himself above things like nibbling or raspberries but if he’s close to whoever he’s wrecking, good luck to them

-Absolutely taunts people for playing tough and then breaking immediately

-Doesn’t usually start tickle fights because of how easy it is to overpower him but he will engage in them if attacked. He’s also started one or two

Lee:

-So you know how he loves making people squirm with anticipation? If someone does it back he will die

-Rambles nervously when he knows he’s doomed

-Easily one of the most ticklish ‘Cons

-He will scream even if someone is being gentle. It’s a defense mechanism

-Actually doesn’t mind being wrecked as much as he pretends to. It bruises his ego a bit but he desperately needs more positive touch

-Occasionally provokes people into wrecking him, usually Knock Out and maybe Breakdown because they’re relatively nice to him

-Almost always runs away when he knows it’s inevitable. He’s either really hard to catch or really easy, no in between

-He either loudly pleads for mercy or continues to be smug and make things worse - sometimes both depending on where he’s being tickled

-Watch the claws, he will try to scratch whether it’s by accident or not

-His voice pitches up and he squeaks and squeals a lot

-Gentle tickles make him super giggly and squirmy while rough tickles make him shriek at the tops of his lungs and thrash

-Used to get into tickle fights with Skywarp and Thundercracker all the time (see: got ganged up on and destroyed)

-His worst spots are wings and belly, but he’s ticklish in a lot of different places as well

-Neck, audios, sides, etc.

-All that screaming usually means his laughter is super wheezy and breathless, but if he can barely talk it usually means he’s had enough

-He will swear revenge once it’s over but it varies if he actually takes it or not and how long it takes him to get around to it

-Not too keen on retaliating against people who can overpower him easily. Until he thinks he has an opportune moment at least

-Mostly wrecked by Knock Out and occasionally Breakdown, but he’s also been tickled by Soundwave on occasion. Megatron’s also gotten him once

-If he gets grabbed he will flail and screech and that’s when you have the watch for the claws and legs

-Completely helpless if he gets picked up. He has no idea what to do in that situation

Hc that sometimes aubrey doesnt feel like actually bullying basil so she just tickles him instead. Or alternatively post game she develops kind of a soft spot for basil (and sunny) after a bit and sometimes will get bored and just randomly tickle him bc hes cute (will usually lead in one or more friends joining the attack, tho more often than not its sunny or kel)

Look, look, I am going to be honest. I have a HUGE soft spot for Basil, and the idea of him being friends again with the whole gang after the game is one of my fav hcs. I don't even care, da flower boi deserves some tickles and giggles and blushes as well 💛💛💛

And that scenario!!!! Yesh yesh yesh!!! Picture with me: everyone decides to meet on their old spot by the lake and Aubrey and Basil get there sooner so, as Kel&Sunny&Hero are getting closer they just hear a high pitched scream and LKel immediately gets defensive because "That sounded like Basil" and nyooom the rest of the way to the lake and when everyone gets there they all freeze because there is, indeed, Basil: laying on the floor and becoming a mess of giggles and laughter as Aubrey tickles his ribs with a gigantic smile and a "So you thought that you could sneak upon me, huh? That I wouldn't see you hiding in that bush and do something about it? You may love plants, but you did not become one yet, flower boy."

And Basil is just shaking his head and blushing and trying to protest but keep failing because of all the giggles that keep escaping because!!! That was not his intention! He just arrived and saw that only Aubrey was there and even tho they all were in good terms now he didn't want to make things awkward by forcing her to interact with him so he just tried to hide until the rest of the group appeared and he could pretend that he was late.

But of course Aubrey realized that he was there, and got the gist of why he was hiding and she wasn't really the most perfect person for reassuring speeches or soft comforting, but she remembered very well a game they used to play as kids to make Basil's anxious thoughts go away.

(She may not be the best at comforting but she knows how to make her tickles soft and gentle. She may not be the best at breaking the ice but she is good at perceiving which spots makes Basil's laughter more bouncy and excited and *focus* there. They may not be the best at apologies but Aubrey is good at actions, at doing her best to make up for what she did and Basil is good at giving her discreet gifts and not making a big deal of it and letting himself squirm and laugh his heart content without calling her out)

Anyway! It's indeed very hard to see a giggly, smiley Basil and NOT want to partake of the activity that is making him so happy so in a blink Kel is already by Aubrey's side, worming his hands on the boy's scrunched shoulders to attack his ticklish collarbone while Hero is letting out a good humored chuckle and Sunny is considering in getting into the tickle fight or just enjoy the moment (if he takes too long to answer Hero may let his Tickle Konster Side shine thro and get him. Rip our bois ♡♡)
