You had found out Oliver’s secret. He was lying to Felix and everyone about his family.
One day you and Oliver were sun bathing, waiting for Felix to return from a discussion with Farleigh. Oliver was wondering what was taking so long so he went over to where they were. He’d left his phone on his chair and it started to ring.
It was his mother. Curious, you answered the call. That was when you found out everything. The lie about his Father, his financial status, everything. You were in shock and also angry. How dare Oliver take advantage of Felix like that. How dare he take advantage of your friendship.
You planned to confront him and that’s exactly what you went to do. Walking back into the castle, you saw Oliver walking up the stairs.
“Hey Ollie!” You shouted. He turned around and looked at you with confusion. You tossed him his flip phone.
“What the hell is wrong with you?” You asked, your protective side coming out.
“Y/n, you’re acting strange. I don’t know what you mean?” Oliver said, although on the inside he was nervous.
Oliver and you were both on the stair case, he was above you and you were closer to the ledge.
“I know you lied. I know everything! About your father and where you come from. You’re a fucking liar, Ollie,” you said, looking up at him defensively.
With him being on the stairs, he was taller than you. Oliver walked down a couple steps, to match your eyesight.
“How could you have possibly found out?” Oliver asked, his voice now lower and more intense. It wasn’t a denial and you took a step back.
“Your mother called. She wanted to send you a card for your birthday,” you snapped.
“You should be careful. You might trip,” Oliver said. He needed to get rid of you. Or else you would mess up his plans.
You stood your ground, “I’m going to tell Felix. In fact I’m going to tell everyone,” you said lowly, looking directly into Ollie’s eyes.
In an instant, Oliver’s hand went around your neck, choking you. “You are not going to tell a soul. Is that clear?” He asked, almost teasingly.
You panicked and tried to pull away from him, but when you did you fell down the bottom of the stairs. Everything went pitch black.
At that moment, Felix and Farleigh had walked into the room. Farleigh only saw you fall but Felix saw Oliver’s hand around your throat and then saw you collapse down the stairs.
Felix’s heart broke, seeing you unconscious at the bottom of the stairs.
“Oh my god! did you push you her?” Farleigh yelled in shock.
Oliver looked at Farleigh and Felix. “It was an accident. She was going to attack me,” Oliver said, trying to play the victim.
Felix didn’t care though, he knew what he saw. And he wanted answers. But first you need to go a hospital.
“Y/n, baby please wake up,” Felix said, hovering over you on his knees. He lifted your head up and some of your body but you were out cold.
“Felix I—,” Oliver began to say, but Felix looked up at him in pure anger.
“Go. Now. Before I do something I’ll have to cover up,” Felix threatened. If looks could kill then Oliver would be a dead man.
Farleigh called Elsbeth and Sir James and the family immediately called the fastest doctor they could find.
That was the thing about being rich, you could get anything delivered to you at any time.
One of the guest rooms was turned into a hospital room. You still hadn’t woken up and Felix wouldn’t leave your side. The doctor said you weren’t in grave danger. But just in a small coma because of the impact of your head hitting the stone floor and the loss of oxygen from being choked.
Felix was angry at Oliver. Oliver had went to his room after Felix threatened him. Duncan had locked the door.
Felix would get his answers soon. But he knew he wouldn’t believe Oliver in the slightest. He had no right to put his hands on you.
Felix stayed by your side the entire night. You still hadn’t woken up and he was worried you never would. He took your hand and squeezed it comfortingly, he needed you to know that he was by your side.
Then, as if you’d felt Felix’s touch, you slowly opened your eyes.
“Felix,” you said, your voice soft and hoarse.
Felix’s heart leaped and he smiled when you awoke. “Y/n, darling. I’m here,” he said, softly.
“Felix,” you said, beginning to cry. You thought you were going to die. You didn’t know Oliver could do those horrible things.
“Shh it’s okay, lovely girl. I got you. You are safe,” Felix comforted. “I’m not going to let anybody hurt you,” he insisted.
Your stomach filled with butterflies and a small wave of comfort washed over you.
“But Oliver—he, he’s not who you say he is,” You said, looking at Felix like you would need hours to convince him.
But Felix wanted him out of the house for just purely putting his hands on you. When hearing this though, Felix raised a brow.
“How do you mean?” He asked. And you explained. The call with his mother, the confused questions you asked when you heard that his father really wanted to see Oliver.
Felix’s face broke and grew in concern. He felt like an idiot. How could he have put his trust in such a person? How could he have let someone like him anywhere near you?
“I’m so sorry, Felix. I know you two are close,” you said, tears streaming delicately down your face.
Felix shook his head. “Don’t apologize. I should apologize to you. I’ll fix this. We’ll have Oliver out of the house by the end of the day,”
“And when we return to Oxford?” You asked, Felix wiped your tears away with the pads of his thumb.
“We won’t see him back at Oxford, I promise,” Felix replied. “Get some rest. I’ll be right here and I’ll protect you.”
You nodded and closed your eyes. As soon as you fell asleep, Felix called his father into the room. Felix never left your side but told his father that Oliver needed to be removed from the house and a restraining order needed to be placed on him.
Felix would never let anything like this happen again. Not to the people he loves—especially you.

Comfort
Tumblr media
Bucky x GN!Reader
Description: three instances of Bucky associating someone stroking his hair with comfort.
Warnings: fluff and angst, mentions of illness, period-accurate toxic masculinity, mentions of nightmares, no y/n used, only pronoun used is "you"
A/N: this is based on something I wrote for my self indulgent self-insert OC Juniper, where Bucky tells them the story of the first two memories and then decided I wanted to also do an x Reader with a similar idea.
-------------------------------------------------------
1930
One time, when Bucky was young, he was hit with an awful bout of illness. He felt like there was a hundred pound weight on his chest, and he couldn’t stop coughing. Steve kept trying to sneak in to go see his friend, but would be shooed away before he could actually see his friend. Rebecca, Bucky’s little sister, would slip notes from her and Steve under his door as often as she could, trying to remind him he wasn’t alone. One night, when his sickness got real bad, his mother came in to sit up with him. Since it was the Depression, she would be up pretty much every night working on sewing alterations until her fingers cramped and bled. But tonight, she was staying with her Baby Boy. She rubs Vick’s on his chest in hopes of soothing the cough, and sits by his bedside. When Bucky’s coughing gets so bad that he can’t fall asleep, she sits on the mattress next to him, running their fingers through his hair until he falls asleep. She saw how much it soothed him, and from then on whenever he was sick she would stay with him, running her fingers through her son’s hair to calm him.
1942
Bucky was an adult now, dressed in a soldier’s uniform and trying to pretend he was proud of that. He’d just gotten home from the Stark Expo, and found that his mother and sister had stayed up to wait for him. Rebecca hugs her brother goodbye before heading to bed, but Bucky and Winnefred stay up late talking. During the conversation everything hits him at once. He’d spent the entire day forcing a smile and pretending to be brave, being strong in front of his date, of Steve, of anyone who saw him and saw a young man ready to take on the world and fight for his country.
When in reality?
He’s been terrified ever since he learned he was drafted.
He broke down in front of his mother, telling her that he’s not ready, that he’s scared, and that he hates that he’s scared. That he’s a coward. But his mother shakes her head, and hugs her son tight. She doesn’t tell him to “man up” or that he needs to “get ahold of himself”, just held him and assured him that it’s okay, that he’s not a coward, that he’s not weak for being afraid. She took him back to his bedroom, getting him settled under the covers and sitting at his bedside, stroking his hair the same way she did when he was young.
“Rest now, James,” she whispered, brushing his hair out of his eyes, “you don’t have to be strong tonight…”
Now
Bucky woke up screaming, drenched in sweat. He tried to take deep breaths, to calm himself down, but the nightmares that had forced him awake still ravaged his subconscious.
“Bucky?” He whipped around to see you, eyes tired but still filled with concern, “are you alright, Baby?”
“Yeah,” he gasped out, running a hand through his hair, “yeah, yeah, I'm…I-I’m…”
“Oh,” you cooed, wrapping your arms around him and laying your head on his back, “oh Sweetheart…”
You hugged him close, and pressed a kiss to his shoulder.
“Can you feel my breath?” You asked, running your fingers along his stomach. Bucky nodded, “good, Buck. Can you follow my breathing?”
He matched your breaths as best he can, and you held him until he calmed down. Once his breathing evened out, you pressed another kiss to the crook of his neck and smiled softly.
“What do you need to feel better, Sweet Boy?” You asked, “what do you need to go back to sleep?”
Bucky chewed his lip for a moment, trying to decide. His mind drifted to his youth, to his mother carding her fingers through his hair and the feeling of serenity it brought him.
“M-my hair,” he murmured. You looked confused, “will you stroke my hair for a bit?”
He didn't give you a chance to respond.
“Sorry,” Bucky's blue eyes wouldn't meet theirs, “that sounds stupid, but my Ma used to do it when I was younger but–”
“Shhhh,” you slid in front of him, “it's not stupid. Of course I'll stroke your hair.”
His blue eyes met yours, relief flooding his gaze.
“Lay back down, Sweetheart,” he settled himself on top of you, laying his head on your chest and listening to your heartbeat. You cradled his head against your body, running your fingers through his dark hair. His eyes were already starting to feel heavy, and he nuzzled into your neck, a little hum escaping him.
“Get some rest, Bucky,” you pressed a kiss to the top of his head as he started to give in to sleep, “I love you.”
The same feeling of serenity overtook him, and Bucky drifted off in his partner's arms.

the first time james saw you he lost interest in any other girl, you just looked so soft, so adorable. he wanted to keep you all to himself, away from prying eyes. before you he would tell people he doesn't have a type because before you he didn't, now though, well it's a different story, he just wants to wrap his arms around your plush waist and never let you go. he would gladly die between your thick thighs, buried between them.
one day you came into class and he figures that you must have run out of clothes to wear so you had to wear some of your old ones and that may have been one of the happiest days in his life. your shirt too tight and your skirt too short. he could see how the fabric and buttons of the shirt was struggling to stay covering your chest and your skirt short enough that james could see light stretch marks covering your skin, but also long enough to not cause a scene. no one else took notice of your attire that day, but james did. he couldn't help it, and he swears he tried to look away but he just couldn't, you're just so beautiful. he felt like a creep but he couldn't pay attention to anything else, he wanted to delicately trace your stretch marks with his fingertips. he wanted to do things that he'd never say out loud.
james wants to pull you down into his lap while he see's you making your way to your own table in the great hall. he wants to feel your body pressed against his and smell your sweet perfume. he knows you'd complain about being too heavy, he's overheard you mention it before, about how you think you're too heavy to get picked up or be on top of someone. james wants to impress you, to show you that he can, because of course he can pick you up and of course you're not too heavy for him, you're perfect the way you are and he's strong enough to lift anything and everything. he'd carry you with one hand all the way up a mountain if it would impress you and get you to notice him.
he wants to pinch your chubby cheeks and wants to kiss your forehead. he wants you.
his friends obviously notice this new attraction james has towards this girl but chosen not to mention, that is until he started to constantly bring you up and gushes to them about how perfect and cute you are. this getting very mixed reviews from his friends, lily having pity for you, aware of how he gets when he likes someone, sirius constantly teasing him about you, mary saying how nice you sounded, remus seemed mostly indifferent to the whole thing, marlene telling him to make a move. if james was honest he didn't take much notice of the teasing or the annoyance that they had because he kept bringing you up, he just needed to tell everyone about how amazing you are.
james knows how to pine after a girl and god does he do exactly that and he makes that very known to you. at first you were wary and skeptical of this sudden attention the famous gryffindor quidditch captain bestowed on you, he was one of the most popular students in hogwarts but after a while james broke down your walls with his charming smile and his acts of kindness, walking you to classes and pulling pranks on anyone who says nasty comments about you weight.
soon enough you end up in wrapped in red and gold on your way to support him in a match, his scarf keeping you warm from the harsh weather. after his win you end up running into his arms, congratulating him as he spins you around, you complain that he's sweaty, causing him to chuckle.
cupping your cheek, he lowers his voice and whispers to you, "you're my good luck charm, 'course i won." your face heats up and you shyly smile up at him. "what would i do without my good luck charm. you wanna be m' good luck charm always doll? wanna be mine?" he tucks some of your hair behind your ear, leaning in even closer, " 'cause i'm already yours. no one else for me doll." soon enough you accept to be his girlfriend, on the condition that he takes a shower straight away.

“I hope we still dance like we're fallin' in love, Hope we still drink like we're back in the pub”
the noise inside the pub was so loud you could feel the floor shake beneath your feet, or maybe it was just your brain making it up. you were getting jostled and a man elbowed your shoulder, causing the cranberry juice in your cup to slosh over the edge. a sharp gasp escaped your lips that you were sure would get lost in the rowdy atmosphere but james quickly snapped his head to look back at you, eyes trailing down to the red liquid dripping down your hand.
“y’alright, sweetness?” big, brown eyes peering at you as the hustle and bustle of the crowd moved on around you both.
“i’m good,” you said back softly, squeezing his hand that had been tightly grasped in yours since the moment you both walked in. today was the final match of the rugby championship and everyone in town was together to watch in anticipation… and drink, no matter the outcome. james had sweetly invited you out with his friends a few nights ago and you of course said yes. the two of you had begun dating a few weeks ago, and you were eager to learn everything about him and spend as much time as possible with him, even if it meant trudging through sweaty, drunk bodies, resisting the urge to cover your ears.
“sirius got here early so he got a table for us already, we’re almost there,” james assured, squeezing your hand back. as you neared the large booth tucked away in the corner, the weight in your chest lifted at the sight of remus rolling his eyes at whatever sirius was saying, waving his hands expressively.
“they’re here! finally!” marlene squeaked and everyone’s eyes turned towards the two of you and they started making room for you both in the booth. you couldn’t stop the tingly feeling in your chest at how easily they accepted you in their tight-knit group.
“mate, where the fuck have you been?’ sirius exclaimed, slapping a hand on james back.
“if you couldn’t tell, he’s already had a bit to drink,” remus muttered in your ear as you leaned in for a half hug around him. when you first met, you were sure he didn’t like you despite james’ reassurances that he was just a quiet person naturally. you understood that, being quite shy yourself, but you still desperately wanted his friends to like you. so when you instinctually gave him a soft hug for the first time and he didn’t pull away, even initiating it the next time you saw him, you were sure you and remus were becoming good friends.
“oh, i’m sure,” you responded, eyes widening at the collection of empty pint glasses that littered the table.
“what’s the score?” james asked, cleaning his glasses against his sweater with one hand, squinting up at the screen, the other stayed wrapped around yours, even though you were both sitting comfortably.
“not good jamesie, why’d y’think i’ve been drinking so much already?” sirius said, taking another swig of his beer.
throughout the night james was intensely focused on the match, going between not even breathing as he stared at the screen to groaning or shouting with sirius whenever his team made a play. you were fine with the fact that he wasn’t paying much attention to you, knowing this game was so important to him, and you and marlene were catching up anyway.
“y’having a good time, honey bee?” james asked, looking down at you for the first time in a while, his large arm wrapping around your shoulders, warmth immediately overtaking you. you could tell he’s well past tipsy, eyes alight with bubbly frivolity.
“honey bee? that’s new”
“‘cus you’re so sweet,” his hand that wasn’t grabbing at your shoulder came up to stroke your cheek and you were sure he could feel it warming up under his touch. the subsequent smirk that crawled across his face affirmed your theory, all adoring if not a tad smug, but he was charming enough to get away with it.
“i am having a good time, yeah, i mean, i don’t really understand what’s going on but it’s cute seeing you so focused.”
james laughed and you felt his chest rumble against your cheek as he tugged you in closer, “mm, it’s probably good that you don’t anyway, we’re getting absolutely shitted on.”
“it’s only half time, it can still turn around!” sirius slurred emotionally with his head in his hands, a lot like the other patrons in the bar disappointed at the team's performance.
“keep telling yourself that, mate,” remus said, patting his back pitifully, still reading his book.
“you want another drink? i can go get you one,” james offered and you shook your head, preferring to stay relatively sober so james could have as much fun as he wanted. “you’ll let me know if you do though, right? anything you want, i’ll do it for you.”
for the umpteenth time tonight, and for the millionth time in your relationship so far, james made your heart stop as he looked down at you with his unwavering gaze. you knew he was only offering to navigate the crowded bar for you, knowing your aversion to crowds, but such a declaration paired with the tightness of his grip around your shoulders, how you could feel his heart beat against the soft of your arm if you focused enough. something about this moment, tucked away in a pub booth, felt like it was the beginning of forever.
“i know,” you breathed out softly and james lips quirked up in a small smile, as if instinctively, and with a single nod and press of his lips to your head before he turned back to the screen, you knew he felt the same way.
in a way that could only be described as a miracle, the team pulled through and as the reporters announced a home win, the crowd erupted in cheers. “praise be to god!” sirius cried, reaching for remus’ pint while remus tried to keep him away. he’d been cut off around thirty minutes ago when he attempted to throw marlene’s purse at the screen.
“sit down! you’re not even religious!” remus sighed, wrangling in his wild friend. you could only smile as remus tried to feign annoyance but couldn’t help but laugh when sirius started pressing congratulatory, sloppy kisses to his cheek.
“i can’t believe it!” james cried, wrapping his arms around your front, your back pressed to his chest as he towered over you. you were still sat in the booth but james had stood up five minutes before the match ended, pacing to get his nervous energy out.
you titled your head back to look up at him, genuine happiness radiating off his large form. “that was incredible!”
he looked down at you with a beaming grin, “it definitely was! did you see that last play? blimey, can’t believe we pulled it off!”
as he spoke you twisted on your butt to face him, and he caged you in between his spread thighs. “i know! i don’t know how they do it, i would get so tired- oh!”
you were no longer sitting, now fully upright with your feet dangling off the floor, arms tightly strewn around james’ neck as he lifted you in a hug. you could feel his hair tickle your cheek as he tucked his face into your neck. he spun you both around in staggering circles, having to stop when he felt the alcohol quickly begin to travel back up his stomach.
james couldn’t believe how perfect today was. his favorite team winning, surrounded by his friends, and at the center of it all was you. like a figurine from a snow globe come to life, so charming and sweet. so open to becoming friends with his friends, liking what he likes; he still doesn’t know how or why you agreed to a date with him, nonetheless put your trust in his rough hands, but he could only hope that soon he could carry your heart, and you his.
“this whole day is incredible,” he said, lips brushing against your ear as he set you down.
your guys’ bubble was popped when marlene shook your shoulders, not quite as gone as everyone else, but getting there as sangria glossed her lips “babes do you hear this?!” she let out loudly and you tuned back into reality, music now blasting through the speakers as the patrons danced and sung along happily.
“sorry to steal her from ya, but this is our song!” marlene slurred winking up at james who only shook his head and watched you get dragged to the middle of the makeshift dance floor and jump about with the other girls.
“to doing this all next year?” remus spoke, handing james a glass of water, with one for himself as well.
james chuckled and watched as sirius infiltrated your dance circle, horribly attempting to break dance, but you’d never guess based off of the encouraging woops! and wows! from you and the girls hyping him up.
james could do this again next year, and the year after that, he’d quite like it, he thinks.
“I think that we could be like that, every single Sunday in our Sunday best. Laughin' over nothin' with a full wine glass.”
“honey bee, i’m hopeless with this,” james grumbled, giving up on his tie and falling back against the bed. at your silence he rolled on his side to catch a glimpse of your face through the mirror. your lips twisted at the side, surely holding in a laugh you refused to grant him with, not wanting him to know he’s softening you up again.
“it might help if you button your shirt first,” you said, finally turning to face him. even with his face half squished against the mattress and hair sticking up in all directions he was still the most beautiful boy you’ve ever seen.
his eyes slowly grazed up your figure, body he was just ravaging now covered in soft, flowy blue fabric, and your hair was tied up neatly with a bow. James let out a low whistle, heat immediately rising to your cheeks, “well would y’look at you,” he mumbled as if he was speaking to himself, “s’ gorgeous.”
you took a minute to collect yourself, shaking your head at how he still made you this flustered this far into your relationship. “thank you, love. you could look beautiful too if you got dressed.” you now sat primly on the sheets beside him, stroking his cheek.
“too tired,” he said, voice low as he engulfed the hand of yours on his cheek in his and brought it to his lips, “you really wore me out, baby.”
“james!” you chastised, trying to pull your hand away fruitlessly. he smirked against it and pressed a final kiss to your palm.
“what? you did! absolutely mindblowing! that thing y’ did with your hips… oh baby!” he moaned and you slapped a hand against his chest, walking back over to the mirror.
“clearly i didn’t hold up my end of the bargain if you’re able to get dressed s’ fast, lemme make it up to you, honey.”
“no!” you squeaked, quickly gathering your make up and running to the bathroom, james’ laugh echoing behind you. any more talk like that and he actually would convince you to go back to bed with him for another round. but you promised you’d go to marlene’s birthday dinner and you were really looking forward to it. in the back of your mind, you knew it was a mistake to get tangled up in the sheets so close to when you had to leave, knowing james could be absolutely insatiable when he wanted to, but you couldn’t resist!
for the next few minutes, you both got ready in silence. you applying light mascara and blush, and james trying to manage his hair. “need a haircut soon,” he said breaking the silence as he reached over you in the bathroom.
“me too, i think. but i like your hair long.”
“i know you do,” james remarked back, a haughty smirk donning his features once again, falling into a pure smile as you playfully rolled your eyes. as he combed some product into his thick locks you took in his appearance, a plain white t-shirt that hugged his muscles and framed his arms in a way that made you question if he was really from this earth or a Greek god, and fitted slacks, you recognized as the one’s you bought him a few months earlier, after claiming he had no nice going out clothes aside from jeans and the one tuxedo he had for a friends wedding.
“you look really nice, james” you said and he cast his gaze down to you through the mirror.
“thank you, sweetness,” he said back and two sentences, as simple as that, caused the love in the room to blow up like a balloon. the sultry, teasing energy from before now a pure adoration that hung in the air.
“we’re a good looking couple, aren’t we,” james said as you both finished, now looking at the two of you in the mirror.
a startled laugh escaped you, “i suppose we are,”
“no wonder i always want us to be having sex, i mean who could blame me!” james exclaimed, walking to the door, keys jingling in his hand.
“please get it all out now before we get to marlene’s, this is supposed to be a classy party!”
“oh, alright! but i’ll remember this when you’re grabbing at me later,” he said, holding open the car door for you.
“we’ll see about that.”
the sun was beginning to set, casting marlene’s back garden in an orange glow. she set up tables and chairs, all holding delicious food and wine, and fairy lights were strung along the awning.
“marls this looks amazing! happy birthday!” you said, giving her a hug.
“thank you! i love your dress! potter… you cleaned up nicely,”
“it was hard to find a clean shirt, but this one passed the smell test, didn’t it, love?” he joked back, twin gags coming from you and marlene before the three of you erupted into laughter.
“i want you to come meet my best friend at work, she’s so nice!” marlene said and in a flash you both were gone, pastel skirts flowing in the wind.
“‘bout time you got here!” sirius called, hugging james, “was starting to thing you wouldn’t show,”
“sorry, got caught up at home…”
remus rolled his eyes, already knowing what was coming.
“…if you know what i mean,” james finished, wiggling his eyebrows, eating up sirius’ wolf whistles and high fives.
“you keep us oddly informed of your sex life, you know that mate?” remus asked, pushing off james’ hand that took purchase in his hair.
“what else are brothers for?”
“ugh!” remus groaned.
“are they bothering you, rem?” you asked, pulling up a chair at their table.
“aren’t they always?” james and sirius let out matching offended scoffs as you laughed.
“y’always take remus’ side, ‘s not fair!” james whined.
“i have to! it takes two of us to watch over the two of you!”
“exactly,” remus laughed, crossing his arms across his chest.
“well in that case, the two of you can stay here, while jamesie and i settle a bet,” sirius said, mischievously, lighting the adrenaline in your boyfriend’s eyes.
“do i want to know?” you asked james, who sent you a blinding smile.
“siri here thinks he’s faster than me. than me! can you believe him?” james said, stretching his calf. his thighs were hugged wonderfully in his trousers and you quickly darted a glance at marlene’s beautiful -yet muddy- garden.
“have to prove him wrong, don’t i?”
“yeah, you can’t be datin’ a loser, a slow one at that!” sirius retaliated and you knew there’s no way you could talk him out of it then.
“just make sure to be careful of your nice clothes, love,” you pleaded, “you look so handsome, the last thing you need is to be covered in grass stains.”
“promise, i’ll try my best honey bee,” james said back, cupping your cheeks so your lips squished together and pressing a kiss atop them.
“c’mon let’s get this race started! or are you scared, pretty boy?” sirius egged and james ran up besides him. as the boys took off you knew it was only a matter of time before it resulted in a friendly yet frantic wrestling match, as most of their competitions did. so you captured the image of your tall, broad-shouldered boyfriend, dressed like he just came out of a catalog, running under the setting sun in your head now to look back on fondly. his childish giggles carried throughout the air and you had a pathetic smile on your face despite yourself.
“you’ll just have to hose him off before you get in the car,” remus said, content with sitting with you, watching your loved one's mess about, truly happy.
“it’s my own fault for thinking he could keep a white shirt clean.”

in the relationship
• he literally fell for you the moment he first saw you, nobody can blame him; you were too incredibly beautiful, an elegance unlike any other, an just overall lovely so it was no surprise how quickly he grew an infatuation with you
• like he could still remember that day (of course he could, bloody sirius would always find a way to remind him) when he bumped into a wall and fell, crashing to the ground, the lens of his glasses cracking from the impact as he passed by you, and he was too enthralled to pay attention to where he was going
• remus would say to him, looking utterly fed up with him, “james, that's the tenth time you've broken your glasses, for merlin's sake watch where you're going.”
• james would argue, “the love of my life was just near me, you can't tell me that i should just ignore her.”
• remus doesn't bother saying anything and simply leaves him alone with peter and sirius, who were laughing hard
• so yes; he did fell for you, literally and figuratively
• at first you weren’t that pleased with him; he literally won’t leave you alone—flirts with you whenever he has the chance and you were simply annoyed by it
• “you have to stop it,” he would complain with a goofy grin
• “stop what?” you asked, confused
• “being so beautiful; it’s distracting me in class, i can’t pay attention to anything other than you, love.”
• even while you occasionally found his antics bothersome, somehow you grew fond of it to the point that you finally agreed to be his girlfriend
• he literally won’t. stop. smiling
• “you’re finally my girl, i mean you’ve always been but this is much better.”
• treats you so GOOD
• worships the ground you walk on (ever since the beginning)
• calls you “love”
• so clingy !!!!!!!!!!!!! but you love it though
• definitely pouts and sulks when you don’t pay attention to him
• needs affirmation all the time. he cherishes it when you kiss his cheeks and reassure him; it helps him feel worthy of you and you would constantly assure him that he is enough for you
• “godric, i bloody love you,” he would say pulling you to him and never having the intention of letting you go
• you’re his lucky charm in everything but most especially whenever he has a quidditch match
• would refuse to play until you arrive
• his eyes would light up once you finally arrived, and he would be immensely motivated to win
• blows you a kiss whenever he scores
nsfw
• “fuck me,” he would groan whenever he sees you wearing his quidditch jersey with nothing under it
• gets turned on so fucking fast
• so needy. literally begs for you, “please, love, i need you right now.”
• moans and whines for you to just fuck him as you grind your pussy against his throbbing dick
• a switch—sometimes he takes control when he’s fucking you but he doesn’t mind you being dominant over him, in fact, he likes it
• he is obsessed with eating you out; he would devour your pussy as if he were a starving man; you laying on the bed, bare before him just like he desires, especially after a long day and gripping your hips down anytime you would whine and beg for more
• you both are just desperate for each other
• “you gonna cum, love? fuck, i could cum just by looking at you all wet for me.”

Chapter 9: The Fairy Feller's Master-Stroкe
September 24, 1976 - Friday
Your race with Sirius, Marlene and a couple of other students who decided to tag along and prove their worth would be next week. The broom race was basically the talk of town. James had talked to the other Quidditch Team Captains, Lyonel Aldridge, Delilah Moss and of course Dmitri Volkov, and they all reached to the conclusion that it would be a great way to boost their team’s morale before the first match.
You woke up early like you had been doing the past couple of weeks, but you and Sirius had gotten a lot more competitive, so competitive you’d already gotten on James’ nerves. Which was something pretty hard to do when you were talking about quidditch. Every day you’d go on mini races, inventing new challenges to fulfill and you always pestered James regarding who’d gotten there first.
“My hand reached the line first,” Sirius said.
“Yeah, but it’s not about hands, it’s about brooms, my broom reached the halo first.” You argued back.
“It’s not about brooms, we said whoever gets there first, and clearly I did.”
“Sirius you can’t bend the rules so you win all the time! Besides, if I had stretched my hand I would’ve reached first so it doesn’t count.”
“It does because you didn’t!”
“James tell him!” You said.
“No James, tell her!”
James sighed exasperated and hit his head against the handle of his broom “Just fucк each other already,” he mumbled, not that either of you heard it.
“What?” You asked with a frown.
“You know what?" He snapped, sitting straight "Neither of you won! And your mini air races when practicing? They’re OVER! No more broom races until official race day and then you’ll admit the other is a faster flier and this bickering will be forgotten.”
“But James!” Both you and Sirius argued.
He gave you both a stern look, and you shot your mouth. “Fine then, till the race we’ll know.”
Sirius nodded “Truce?” He said offering you his hand. You took a deep breath and shook it.
Once you were back in the ground Sirius called you with a smirk “Hey (Y/N)! Bet I can get to the common room before you do.” He then started running.
“You wish,” you said running behind him.
James sighed again “We said no races!”
“You said no flying,” Sirius shouted back.
You then turned to James with a smile as you ran “He’s right, this is running.”
James rolled his eyes but took off running behind the two of you anyway. The only thing that sometimes shut the two of you up, was when someone else won, and he had the longest legs. In the end, he was indeed the first one to arrive, letting himself fall on the couch as you and Sirius fought your way inside.
“Prongs, you’re here?” You said out of breath when you saw him laying on the couch, regaining his own breath.
He frowned “Since when do you call me Prongs?” He asked amused.
“Oh… um… sorry, it must have slipped,” You said as you sat down “I blame Sirius for it.”
James laughed “No, it’s fine. You can call me Prongs.” He took a long breath, “But stop blaming Pads for everything.”
“In my defence. It really is ALWAYS Sirius’ fault.”
He made the face of a man that agreed with your statement. “James!” Sirius complained he noticed.
James grimaced in return “For fucкs sake, take me away from these two,” he said grabbing a pillow and placing it over his head dramatically.
You and Sirius exchanged a glance, yeah, you may be bickering all the time now, but it was all friendly banter, James was overreacting.
“Morning,” you heard Remus say as he came down the stairs “Just got here from practice?”
You nodded “And they’re getting on my nerves Moony,” James grumbled.
Remus raised an eyebrow at the two of you “We just asked him to decide who’d been the winner of our mini race,” you said innocently.
He nodded, understanding. “Leave poor James alone, he’s been doing so much to prepare your race that… he might actually be sick of quidditch by the end of it.”
James instantly reacted to Remus’ words, removing the pillow from his head “I would never!”
You were sweaty from so much running so you excused yourself and went for a short shower, Lily was preparing her backpack when you walked out of the bathroom, using your wand to dry your hair. “Today we’re picking the fluxweed together, right?” You asked her.
She nodded “Just wait for me, will you? We’ll walk to the greenhouse together, don’t think of going by yourself.”
“Of course, I’ll wait for you Lils, don’t worry about it,” you told her with a smile and finished both closing the buttons of your shirt, and shoving your stuff quickly in your bag "Ready for breakfast?"
Lily nodded and the two of you walked down to the common room together. The boys were secretly talking to each other on the corner close to the fire, looking all conspiratoriall as they did. "You coming for breakfast?" Lily asked them. Remus turned to look at her, his brown eyes seemed more golden than usual, you wondered if it was because of the lighting in the room.
"Yes, we’ll be down in a minute tho, we’re helping Peter finish his Divination essay.”
You raised an eyebrow at that statement. Since when did they help Peter with essays? Well, Remus definitely would help Peter, he’d probably help anyone that asked nicely. But the rest? Sirius? That was a bit sus, to say the least. But Lily was already walking out of the common room, so after giving them one more look, you followed her. Maybe they were planning another prank like the rain on the main hall.
Once you were downstairs, the two of you walked towards the great hall. Mary, Marlene, Beth and some others were already there, having breakfast. You greeted them all with a smile “Good morning!” You said as you sat down.
“Morning,” responded Mary as she looked up from her copy of The Daily Prophet.
“Anything new?” You asked her, nodding towards the paper.
She shook her head “Just the wаr,” she replied somberly “Apparently some deatheaters went on a кiling spree. They’re trying to get the muggle-borns.”
“An older lady was кiled,” Marlene continued “Marsha Allenty, she was a muggle-born auror.”
You shuddered at the thought. Muggle-borns first, half-borns next, it wouldn’t take them too long to destroy half the wizarding population if they kept going. Someone had to stop them. You were about to say something when the owls started coming in.
Your family owl, Barnaby, flew down, dropping a package in front of you. You looked at it. The (Y/LN) family seal was stamped over the elegant wrapping. It had to be from your mother. You opened the package, it contained several things. Some galleons, sweets from your favourite bakery back at home, which instantly told you they’d been travelling. A box filled with different potions, and some ingredients to brew shampoo and other beauty-related things. A special potions booklet and a small velvet box.
You opened it and there was a ring inside, a thin metal piece with some engravings on it and a gem at the top, held by 4 small pieces of metal, two shaped like a star and two shaped like a moon.
“What is it?” asked Beth, leaning into you from the side.
“A gift from my parents,” you responded, taking the reins out of the box to show it to her.
“It’s stunning,” she told you. “Do you know what that is?” She said pointing at the stone.
“Moonstone, isn’t it?” You asked, Beth nodded. “Mom cares a lot about the magical properties of stones,” you explained.
“And the metal is silver,” she said turning the ring around, taking a look at the little seal on the inside.
“Silver?” You frowned, taking a closer look “You’re right, that’s different. She’s never given me a silver piece before.”
“Maybe she thinks you’re old enough?” She asked with a shrug.
You nodded, but it wasn’t that. Your mom always gave you gold things. She said the protective value of it was a lot higher than any other metal. Even the necklace Sirius had given you in the vacation, made of brass, was turned into gold with a special spell she had, a spell that would leave all the magical properties of the item intact.
“Well, whatever the reason, she did pick a beautiful ring,” you said, finally sliding it through one of your fingers.
“Do you know what magic it’s got?”
You shook your head, looking through the box to see if your mom had written any kind of letter. You didn’t find any and shrugged it off “Maybe she just thought it was pretty…”
“What was pretty?” Asked Peter, who appeared almost out of nowhere along with the boys.
“(Y/N) was gifted a new ring,” said Mary before taking a bite from her eggs.
You raised your hand so Peter could see it “Got it on a package from my mom.”
“Moon and stars, eh?” He asked with a raised eyebrow “Interesting choice of symbolism, isn’t it?”
You looked at Peter and shrugged. He was right, it was an interesting choice of symbolism. Your mom, like you, had an affinity to divination. Maybe she knew something you didn’t “My mom loves that stuff,” you told him, and lowered your hand back to the table, taking your fork to dig into a sausage.
The boys sat further down on the table. Just close enough to still be able to talk to everyone already sitting there. You left early to go check on the fireworms. Remus and you had decided to split the days in which you had to feed them, and today was your turn. When you arrived at the tunnel entrance you looked around to make sure no one had followed you and entered as quickly as possible.
“Lumus,” You whispered, and your wand lit up, making the dark tunnel navigable. You looked through the pockets of your robe and found the scrap of parchment Remus had made for you. “Revelio,” you said as you moved your wand over it, revealing a tiny map of the tunnels. You were sure you’d learn the way soon enough, but for now, the little map was indispensable.
You used the map to navigate the tunnel until you arrived at the little nook in which you’d hidden your fireworms. You grabbed some of the food in your backpack and gently placed it on the food trays you’d created with a couple of pumpkin juice caps. You looked at the little fireworms satisfied when you noticed one of them was shining, like a firefly. But the light travelled from the end of the tail, all the way through his body and towards his head, then with a small little sound, almost like a fairy burp, the fireworm caused a small ball of fire to come from his mouth. You looked at it amazed, and quickly put the small fire out with your wand.
You grabbed your backpack and took out your charms book, trying to find a flames stopper or fire preventive spell as soon as possible. Soon enough you found something that could work and cast it all over the little fireworm habitat you and Remus had been building. After the spell was ready, you stayed for a couple of minutes to make sure they wouldn’t cause a fire that’d burn the entire castle down and once you were certain you let out a long sigh, not even realizing you’d been holding your breath.
You were thrilled, your fireworms were doing excellent, the way you and Remus had taken care of them allowed them to develop in less time than the standard, which would guarantee the two of you really good grades. You had to tell Remus about it. Maybe you could tell him in divination. Shiit, divination! You were supposed to be in divination. You ran out of the little nook and used the map to find a shortcut towards the divination tower. Once outside you knocked on the door a couple of times and waited. Professor Spellman opened the door, letting you inside with a displeased glance.
“I’m sorry for being late,” you mumbled as fast as possible. You walked inside and started walking towards Remus, who luckily, hadn’t been paired with anyone yet.
“Miss (Y/LN),” Professor Spellman called, you turned to him “You will be working with Sybil today,” he said, pointing towards the small Ravenclaw girl. You swallowed but nodded and walked towards her table. You knew who she was, Remus had told you about her, and her story, and you’d probably exchanged a couple of words with her in the past, but you’d never really talked to her.
“Hey,” you waved as you sat next to her, she waved back, with a small smile, and absentmindedly nudged her glasses back to their place. You looked at her for a minute, her hair might be messy, and you heard she wasn’t very popular, but she was very pretty non the less.
Professor Spellman started talking and with a flick of his wand opened some cabinets, floating a teapot in front of each table, Leaf reading. You and Sybil brew the tea together, using some of the herbs suggested by the book for more accurate readings. And started chatting to each other after you served your respective teas.
“Do you like divination?” She asked you.
“I… uh… not that much, I’ve had some experiences,” you stuttered.
“Sad readings?” She asked, with a sympathetic expression.
You nodded, taking a sip of your tea “It’s always negative stuff with me,” you explained “Accurate, but negative.” You shuddered, “What about you? With your legacy and all?”
“I don’t dislike it,” she told you with a smile, “I don’t like getting sad readings either but it’s fun to know bits of the future, for example, the other day I had these feeling that it was going to rain, so I put on some rain boots before going to Care for Magical Creatures, some Hufflepuffs and even other kids from my year were throwing looks at me, but when it started raining and everyone’s shoes got ruined, but mine didn’t, it was completely worth it.”
You smiled at her story “I don’t get those kinds of feelings,” you said “But it’s nice to meet someone that enjoys it, maybe you could help me enjoy it too.”
Eventually, you both finished your teas and exchanged teacups. You took a deep breath and eventually leaned over to look at her cup, hoping there would be something good in there. You exhaled when you saw a small little butterfly on the cup. Butterflies were good, they meant change, they meant personal growth, they meant… Images flashed through your eyes, and you breathed heavily a couple of times, trying to regain composure.
Sybil knew exactly what was going on, she’d been through it several times before too. So she looked at you with concern. “What did you see?” She asked in a steady tone.
“Nothing bad,” was the first thing you managed to muster, “just… you’ll give a prophecy soon. A very important one, I saw Professor Dumbledore, he seemed really interested in what you had to say.” She nodded at your words, writing everything you said down on a piece of paper, then you looked at her, placing a hand on her arm “Sybil, this prophecy… it looked like it was going to be dark,” you said “but it’s one of those that will change the world.”
She nodded, taking in all the information you’d given her. She did not doubt a single word you said. And you were glad she did, sometimes visions as such were hard to comprehend, and that’s if the person even cared for it.
“Are you ok?” She asked then.
You nodded “I– uh…” you looked at her tea “You will have a period of transformation and positive change, like the metamorphosis of a butterfly,” you told her, making an effort to read the rest of her tea leaves “You should, uh… embrace the opportunities that’ll come your way and also let yourself spread your wings.”
She laughed in response “That’s my fortune?” She asked motioning towards her tea cup.
“Yeah,” you nodded, sounding very certain about it “You must accept your uniqueness,” you added for good measure, after all, humor is one of the best ways to cope with such things “And me? What’s my destiny?”
She adjusted her glasses and took a peak at your cup “I see… stars, the moon, they’re surrounding something,” she said “A small animal, maybe a hare, or… a wildcat?”
You looked at her with a frown “Did you say the moon and stars?”
She nodded, tilting the cup towards you. And she was right, the moon was there, the stars too, and… the small animal? That was a fox. You took a deep breath and showed her the ring your mom had given you “My mom sent me this,” you told her “also moon and stars symbolism.”
Sybil raised an eyebrow “Does she have an affinity with divination?” She asked. You nodded in response “Then it must mean something…” she said, picking up her book and flipping through it “But I can’t find anything about the moon and stars in the book.”
“Interpret it,” Said Professor Spellman as he walked by, looking at Sybil with a stern face.
She nodded, sliding towards the back of the chair, Professor Spellman was imposing, to say the least. “I uh… I see the moon and the stars, they’re close, to a… it’s a–“
“It’s a fox,” you told her “The animal, it’s not a wild cat, it’s a fox.”
“A fox, right!” she agreed, “and I– are those flowers?” She asked looking deeper into the cup. By then your little interaction had piqued the attention of some other students from the class, they were watching the two of you intently. “I– I may be getting things twisted but… according to your cup, the moon and the star will find a blossoming love with…” she hesitated “with the fox.”
Everyone around the classroom laughed, but the professor raised a hand to quiet them, looking into the cup himself “Sybil’s reading is accurate.” He said, “Maybe (Y/N) has an idea what those symbols might mean?”
You sat straighter, looking at the professor “I seem to be surrounded by symbolism today,” you told him “But I’m sorry sir, I’ve got no idea what it may mean. Perhaps I’ll adopt a fox or something? Shower it with love and stuff,” You lied. While you may have not been able to understand the whole symbolism, there was one thing you knew for certain: you were the fox.
The Professor nodded, even if he didn’t look convinced, and moved towards someone else’s table. You exhaled, only then realizing you’d been holding your breath. “He can be very intimidating, right?” Sybil asked you.
You nodded “Definitely.” She looked like she wanted to tell you something else “What is it?” You asked her.
“Just.. be careful, yeah? The moon, it– it looks a little mennacing on your cup. Like… like it could be dangerous.”
You frowned “As in, maybe I shouldn’t go out tonight dangerous or…?”
“No, no,” she shook her head “I don’t know how to explain it, just… keep that in mind, will ya?”
You nodded, placing a hand on her arm to reassure her “And you’ll be a famous fortune teller soon,” you told her with a smile “How does that feel?”
She shrugged “I always expected to end up as one, I guess it’s nice to get a prediction of what you’ll be, makes it a little more certain.”
“And you trust my predictions?” You asked her with a shrug.
She nodded furiously “Of course I do! It’s not every day a fairy tells you your fortune.”
“I’m sorry?!” You asked her, shocked.
“I saw it in your cup,” she explained “I didn’t mean to pry, but it made sense… your divination affinity, your charm and magnetism, your talent while flying… You’re part fairy, aren’t you?”
You looked at her mortified, your parents had done so many things to keep that hidden and now Sybil just guessed it, “You can’t tell anyone,” you told her in a very serious tone.
She smiled at you “I wasn’t planning to, your secrets are safe with me.” You smiled at her after that, you trusted her.
Once the class was over you stood up, but she stayed in her seat “You don’t have another class?” You asked her politely.
She shook her head “I’ve got arithmancy next, I took it as an optative.”
You hummed in response “Have fun then,” You told her with a smile “I’ve got Magical Theory.”
“Good luck, I heard Professor Pendragon, can be very strict.”
“No worse than Spellman,” you whispered, so that the Professor in question, who was talking to some other students wouldn’t hear you. Sybil laughed and you finally pulled your backpack from your seat and started walking outside but you were stopped by Professor Spellman.
“Miss (Y/LN),” he said, and you walked closer to him “Be very careful tonight,” he warned, “there was something odd on your cup, and as you may know, today is Full Moon.”
You nodded “Thanks, Professor.” Clearly, he saw the same thing Sybil had seen, which was mildly disturbing, but alas, your day had to continue.
Once you were outside of the classroom you spotted the boys a few stairs down. Peter was walking with the girls, you assumed towards their Ancient Studies class, while James, Sirius and Remus walked together, they were walking towards the east wing, to Magical Theory, the class you shared. You had the intention to catch up with them, but they were looking as suspicious as they had looked earlier in the common room, talking in whispers to each other, heads so close they could easily bump together. You decided it was best to let them be, you’d been hanging out with them so much lately, they probably needed some space. So you slowed down your pace, just far enough so they could get their much-needed privacy.
Eventually, you reached the Magical Theory classroom, and when you arrived you found James waiting at the door, he quickly pulled you towards him and said “She’s gonna be my team.”
You looked at him with a shrug “Your team? for what?”
Remus, who was close by responded “The teacher said we’ll be working on a team project, Sirius and I are working together, so James was waiting to claim you as his team.”
“Besides, I really need your help,” James added.
You frowned, and asked, a little confused “With the project?”
“No, with Evans!” He whispered.
Realization down on you and you looked at Remus “He didn’t even ask you to be on his team, did he?”
He shook his head in response, mouthing a “nope.”
You laughed, “All right then, we’re a team,” you told James “You can ask me all you need when we–“ You cut yourself off “Wait, Remus! I’ve got to tell you something…”
“All right, if you gave your teams, please take a seat, class will start.” You heard the teacher say.
“Nevermind,” you  told him as you turned back since James was pulling you into a table near the back “You’re not planning to pay much attention then?”
“Don’t scorn me like that,” he complained “We’ll pay attention, I just– really need your advice.”
"In this project, you will embark on a captivating journey to craft your very own magical artifact. Channel your imagination, drawing inspiration from the likes of invisibility cloaks and rememberalls, as you fashion an extraordinary creation of your own making," the teacher commenced, igniting a spark of curiosity among the class, even James, who had been mortified about Lily just minutes earlier was paying attention.
"Each artifact should possess a distinct purpose, serving its intended function with finesse. You will delve into the depths of your creativity, meticulously designing a blueprint that brings your vision to life. Fear not, for guidance shall be provided, I will walk with you every step of the way“ the teacher reassured, yet a chorus of playful groans filled the air in response to the mention of project design papers.
"Ah, I understand your sentiment," the teacher chuckled, acknowledging the students' apprehension. "But worry not! The journey shall be as enchanting as the destination itself. These project design papers will serve as a canvas to weave together the threads of your imagination, showcasing the brilliance of your creation. Embrace the opportunity to bring your ideas to fruition, weaving magic into the tangible realm. Who knows, you may be the next creators to hold the rights to an incredibly useful device that will sell millions.“ With these words, a wave of anticipation and excitement rippled through the classroom, as students began envisioning the magical artifacts they would soon breathe life into.
“Well, that’s an interesting project,” you said as you started writing down some ideas in your notebook.
“It’s brilliant, we could ask him to help us with the map!”
“What map?” You asked while raising an eyebrow.
“Oh… sorry,” he said “I thought for a minute that you– nevermind. You need to help me with Lily.” James had gotten so used to hanging around you and the boys at the same time for a moment he thought you already knew about the Marauders Map.
You sighed “Of course James. Tell me what happened,” you said, turning to him “but please write some ideas down as you do.”
He nodded, and started scribbling on his piece of paper “You see, since we kissed back at Marlene’s party–“
“–James that was a game, you can’t be hung up on that.” You interrupted.
“No, you don’t understand, there was a connection.”
You rolled your eyes, while you did think Lily maybe had a little bit of a crush on James, you also knew she wasn’t anywhere ready to admit it. Especially with James’ incessant flirting since like 4th year. Marlene had told you about it. “James, it sounds ridiculous. I kissed Remus then too, and I’m not hung up on it.”
He narrowed his eyes at that “but you seemed to enjoy it.”
You shrugged “Can’t say he’s a bad kisser.” And Remus is handsome, you thought “But that’s not the point anyway. What happened?”
“Lily seems more willing to talk to me lately,” he explained.
“Well, that’s lovely, just give her enough space so you don’t make her feel pressured. Be kind and nice… and stuff.”
“I was thinking of making this very grand gesture on the quidditch–“
You shook your head “James Potter,” you warned “If you so much as try something like that you will scare her away. She’s barely realizing she might like you, don’t do THAT!”
“What did you just say?”
“Don’t do it!” You insisted.
“No,” he shook his head, “before that.”
“I said that she’s barely realizing she might have a c… fuck.”
“You think… You think she likes me?” He asked, in a very small high pitched tone.
“I– wouldn’t go as far as to say that…” he looked so sad, “…yet.”
“Yet?” He asked, perking up as a surge of excitement ran through his body.
You nodded “I… think she’s warming up to you,” you told him sincerely “Just don’t do anything that could scare her away, please.”
“Like what?”
“Like a scary grand gesture for example.”
The professor walked toward you “Any ideas so far?” He said looking at James’ messy writing.
James nodded “A confetti cannon that, after using it, leaves confetti wherever you go,” he said, and read another idea “a pair of shoes that make the wearer constantly trip, a teapot that won’t stop whistling, even without any tea on it, and a buble liquid that makes ticklish bubbles.” He said proudly.
You stared dagger at him and covered his notes with your some parchment “It’s still a work in progress,” you told the teacher with the most charming smile you could muster, “James and I are still looking for better ideas.”
The professor nodded and kept walking around the classroom.
“Tripping shoes?” You asked in desbeilif “an ever whistling teapot? Are you for real–“
“–In my defence, I’m not great at multitasking.”
“No shiit Sherlock,” you told him.
“The tripping shoes could be funny tho.”
“Yeah, and the tickling bubbles are useful, for pranks, but Professor Pendragon wants us to invent the next invisibility cloak, I don’t think he’d be too satisfied with any of those options.”
“What about a ring that’s also an invisibility cloak?”
You rose your eyebrow at him “You mean like in the Lord of the Rings?”
“What’s the Lord of the Rings?”
You gasped, offended, you too had grown on a pure-blood wizard family but at least you knew the Lord of the Rings, “The hobbit?! Does not ring any bells?” He shook his head “It’s a very popular muggle book, you should really brush up on your muggle literature. Perhaps you should have taken muggle studies instead.”
“Hey!” He complained, “Don’t bash me for not being a literature genius like you and Remus.”
“I bet even Sirius would know about The Lord of the Rings.”
“How much?”
“10 sickles?” You asked.
“Oh, I’m really, really sure Sirius won’t know either,” James said “Make it 20.”
You rose your eyebrow at his challenge and nodded “Deal,” you said raising your hand to shake his, successfully closing the deal.
“So… the magical ring’s off the table?”
“No, I… I don’t think it’s a bad idea, maybe we can make a magical ring, just, with different powers instead.”
“Like…?”
You shrugged in response “We could make two rings that always find each other.”
“Ohhh, and I could give one to Lily!” James said excitedly, you threw him a look “Like… not now... When we start dating… obviously.”
“Love the confidence of that statement,” you said with a smile, thinking of how James had used when instead of if.
He winked “What about a bracelet that lets you communicate with someone else, like a… muggle telephone.”
“Or a walkie talkie…” you agreed.
“A what?” He asked.
“You’re joking, right?”
“I- uh… yeah,” he replied, not confidently at all.
“Damn it, James, you urgently need some muggle classes.” You said and started drawing a pair of walkie-talkies on the notebook, trying to explain their use, and how they worked, even if you weren’t entirely certain of how they did. “Can’t believe none of you thought it’d be useful to have some of them around. Especially for your pranks.”
“Yeah, me neither,” he agreed “You know smoke signals aren’t really the most effective.”
“Surely you didn’t try that,” You said confidently, his expression gave him away “You did?!?”
He shook his head, letting out a long sigh “We were in detention for days.”
You chuckled  at that “At least you have the little paper planes now,” you said, remembering the day Remus had sent one to the boys, same day he took you to the lake because you were feeling upset.
“They’re useful, but they can be intercepted.” He explained, “Not very good for top secret plans.”
You laughed, of course, James would consider his prank plans worthy of the Top Secret title. “What about a bracelet?” You asked then.
“A magical bracelet? Sounds good, also with walkie-talkie abilities?”
“Could be more convenient than a ring…” you responded, “Not really sure about it tho."
“What about a pair of glasses that can help you see better in the dark?” He asked, “For those times where you can’t use lumos, maybe you lost your wand, or you wanna be inconspicuous.”
“Night vision googles, I dig it.”
“Exactly, but smaller, more practical to carry around.”
“Well, I guess we’ve got a few solid ideas then,” you said as you started picking up your things, you and James had stayed brainstorming together for a little longer than you realized “Class is over?”
James nodded “Moony and Pads left already,” he said as he looked towards the table your friends had been sitting on, “probably to the great hall, we said we’d eat together.”
“Peter too?” You asked him, he nodded.
“Wanna join us?”
You shrugged in response, though you were planning a prank or something,” you said as you walked towards the door with him by your side.
He frowned “Why?”
“All the secretive talks? You’ve been awfully suspicious today.”
“What? No- that’s… it’s not. We’re not suspicious.”
You gave him an incredulous look but nodded “No, not at all,” you added sarcastically.
Once you were in the hall you spotted Remus and Sirius walking ahead of you and remembered you had to tell him about your fireworms so you picked up the pace. You walked behind him, for a minute, but he was so entertained in his conversation with Sirius you decided it’d be funny to tease him, so you extended your arms, and standing in your toes –because Remus was actually pretty tall– you decided to cover his eyes with your palms “Guess who–“ you started, but didn’t even get enough time to finish since Remus practically jumped out of your grasp in seconds, hissing as the silver of your new ring came into contact with his skin. It didn’t leave a mark but it did hurt him like hell.
Sirius, being quick to figure the new ring you wore had silver on it, looked at you with panic, but you didn’t notice, you were too concerned over Remus’ reaction. “I– I’m sorry Rem, didn’t mean to scare you…” you stammered “I… I was just trying to tease.” James and Sirius finally relaxed when they noticed you’d thought Remus was just scared.
“It’s ok…” he said with a forced smile as he extended his hand, a safe distance between your ring and himself “I wasn’t expecting you to come up from behind like that.”
You didn’t seem convinced but nodded, concern still evident on your face. “I uhh… I was trying to catch up to actually,” You finally changed the subject. James had gotten in between you and Remus as you walked, so you leaned a little towards the front to see your friend better “It’s about our fireworms, they’re already breathing fire.”
“What? I thought they wouldn’t do it until they were like a month old,” said Sirius.
“Exactly!” You nodded excitedly “They weren’t, our caring must have been phenomenal. Our babies are overachievers.”
“You’re keeping them together?” James asked.
You nodded “Co-parenting,” you paused “We split tasks and that way we make sure we don’t burn down the school by accident.”
Remus nodded in agreement “It’s easy to remember to feed them when it’s only a couple times a week instead of every single day.”
“And we found an excellent spot to keep them too, away from stress and anything that could make them nervous.”
“Well, the overachievers are not the worms,” Sirius said giving you and Remus a look.
James agreed “We just gave ours to Peter, in exchange for some other homework.”
“By the way (Y/N), mind taking care of them tomorrow too?” Remus asked politely.
“Sure thing,” you said, not thinking much of it.
You had your lunch with the boys, the girls and Peter joined you a bit later and you all walked to Defense Against the Dark Arts together. Professor Nightshade was elegantly leaning on her desk when you arrived at her classroom. She looked a little tense. Like she wasn’t too excited about the class to come.
Once most students were inside she shut the door with a wave of her wand “Today we will be going through the unforgivable curses.” She said, looking rather dejected “and while is not of my favourite classes to teach, we must delve into the subject, especially in dark times like these in which you might need to defend yourselves from one of them.”
The entire class was silent, everyone was paying attention to every single one of her words. It wasn’t uncommon to hear about the war, it was on the paper every single day, but most students chose to avoid and ignore the subject, so even if the war was going on, it was outside, Hogwarts was safe. But being confronted with it, so upfront, felt, well, it felt eerie and scary.
“Can someone name the unforgivable curses?” She asked.
Lily raised her hand “The кilling course, Imperius curse and…”
“The cruciatus curse,” Finished Sirius with a heavy breath.
“Correct!” Seraphina said, “10 points for Gryffindor… Indeed those are the three unforgivable curses, and they are unforgivable because…”
“Because they violate the rights of whoever is being cursed by them,” you responded.
“Can any of them be avoided?”
You shook your head “Only very experienced wizards can resist Imperio.”
“And countered?”
“Physical barriers might block some of the curses, but there is no known spell that can do such a thing.” Said Remus.
“No one has ever survived a кilling course either,” Imogen Potts added.
“Seems like you’ve been doing all the readings accordingly,” the teacher said satisfied “Now, you know the theory, but today we will have a small demonstration.” The students gasped, but Seraphina nodded heavily “You must know what you’re up against,” she pulled out a box and opened it, a butterfly flew out of it, about the size of your palm. Seraphina let the small insect fly freely for a minute before pointing her wand straight at her and whispering “Imperio.”
The butterfly started flying around, making circles around the class before landing on Marlene’s nose. She was sitting beside you, so you looked at her in awe as the butterfly batted its wings softly near her face. But then Seraphina changed the course, whispering “Cruicio.” The butterfly fell from Marlene’s nose and onto your table, right next to your book as it batted its wings helplessly. You looked at it with concern, Seraphina herself looked mortified as she inflicted pain on the small creature.
You gave her an imploring look, and that was all it took for her to stop. The small butterfly was released from the pain and started flying all around the classroom, desperately looking to get away from the place. Once the butterfly was close enough to her, she whispered the last curse and after a green flash came from her wand, the butterfly stopped flying, slowly falling to the ground, like a leaf from a tree.
The whole classroom was quiet. You stood up and carefully picked up the small butterfly from the floor. Looking at it pitifully as you handed it over to Seraphina, who held the box out for you to place it inside. “As you’ve seen, these curses are not only lethal but terrifying as well. There is a reason why, whoever dares to infringe them, will never be forgiven.”
“They will go to Azkaban,” whispered Peter.
“What a pitiful destiny,” agreed Sirius.
Professor Nightshade sighed heavily “I think this is enough for today, you may go.”
Students nodded and started placing their things into their backpacks. When you stood up, you walked towards her “I want to be in the duelling club.” You told her “I… I don’t want to end up like the butterfly.”
Seraphina looked at you, a sorrowful look in her eyes, she understood the implications of what you’d said. She knew how heavy your statement was. And she nodded “Of course darling, you’ll be a brilliant addition to the club.”
You nodded, satisfied and finally caught up with your friends. You went straight to Lily “At what time must we go get the fluxweed?” You asked.
“It’s supposed to be when the moon it’s at its highest point,” she told you “I checked the astronomy section of the paper in the morning, apparently at around 11:30 pm.”
“All right, we can totally hang out together till then, right? Do you have any plans?”
She shook her head “We had study club, but we cancelled it today, I was thinking of maybe going to the library to get some stuff and then studying or just chilling back at the common room.”
“It’s settled then,” you told her with a smile, walking alongside her towards the library. Since you had already finished most of your assignments you decided to walk through the long bookshelf to see if you found anything that caught your eye, while Lily looked for some more specific books. And as you walked over the edge of one of the bookshelves you bumped into Nina, the small Ravenclaw girl from the study grup that had a crush on Remus. “Hey love,” you said politely.
“Hi,” she replied quietly. To be fair, Nina really wanted to dislike you when she first encountered you. She was jealous of how close you and Remus had gotten in such a short period of time, but you had always treated her with kindness, genuinely willing to help her, if she had any questions, or needed help with a particular spell; that, in the end, she couldn’t help but like you instead. In fact, she’d go as far as to say she admired you. She’d seen you practicing spells and she even went to one of the quidditch trainings, with the intention to ogle at Remus who had gone too, but she was far too entranced by you when you were flying that she almost completely forgot about her original reason for going.
“You looking for Rem?” You asked her politely.
She shook her head “He cancels study sessions at least once every couple of weeks,” she told you “Originally, only Lily held the sessions by herself but she got very stressed without him to help her with the younger students, so they decided it was best to cancel them altogether.” Remus cancelled them? You thought, that’s odd. “What about you? Are you looking for a book in particular?”
You shook your head “Just something to entertain me while I hang out with Lily.”
“Oh, I think I can help you with that,” she said with a smile, bringing her backpack in front of her and opening the zipper “I actually got my hands on this book out last week, I read it in days, it’s about a werewolf who falls in love with a wizard.” she explained “It’s not very accurate with the actual nature of werewolves, but the key points are there. It’s a very fun romantic novel If you’re into that kind of stuff.” She said taking a book out of her bag and placing it on the table. “Oh and this one,” she grabbed a smaller book “It’s filled with simple yet practical spells that we don’t have in the curriculum, such as ways to fix glasses and open locks. It’s fantastic if you want something a bit more educational.”
You looked at her with a smile “These are fantastic Nina, thank you!” You said with genuine excitement.
She smiled at you, blushing just a little at your reaction “It’s nothing. I’m– I really like books,” she told you with a smile “If you ever need new recommendations, I’m down.”
You smiled at her “You’re the best!” You told her picking the books up from where she left them “It was lovely seeing you.”
She nodded, and was about to say something when Lily showed up, looking for you “I’ve got the books, ready to go?” She asked, and then noticed you weren’t alone “Oh, hey Nina! What’s up?”
“She lent me a couple of books,” you said, raising the books you held in between your arms so Lily would notice.
Lily nodded “Oh, Nina is really good at picking out books, trust me.” Lily said, “Mind if I take (Y/N) with me now?”
Nina shook her head “We were just doing some small talk.” She said, with a bit of a blush as both you and Lily waved your goodbyes.
As you walked outside the library Lily gave you a look “So… you’re friends with Nina now?”
You shrugged “She’s pretty nice actually. I don’t know when it happened, but she stopped hating me over Remus, and now she’s really kind, she even recommended books!”
“You probably just charmed her with your personality and looks, like you did with pretty much everyone,” Lily teased with a smile.
“Oi, shut up Evans, you’re probably more charming than I am,” you said nudging her in a friendly manner. She nudged you back and the two of you walked together towards the common room, chatting about your due assignments, and your favourite books. Since Lily was a muggle-born, she knew even more about muggle books than you, and it was fun hearing about all of them, from her favourites to those she didn’t like all that much.
Once you arrived at the common room you both found a comfortable place, she sat on the small round table by the stairs and you went straight for one of the couches, letting yourself comfortably lay on it while opening your backpack to pick one of the books Nina had recommended, you grabbed each on one hand, staring at the covers, trying to decide which one to go for first. After weighing both of them in your head, you decided to read the spell book and leave the romance novel on the side table.
Nina hadn’t been lying, the book was indeed practical, and you tried casting some of the most complicated or useful spells as you read, practicing the wand movements and incantations as Lily focused on her homework.
At some point Mary and Marlene went in, they were giggling about something that happened so you decided to leave your book next to the others and join their conversation.
“Oh my god, (Y/N)! You won’t believe what happened.” Mary said.
You smiled “Oh, do tell”
“We were talking to Moaning Myrtle, she said she overheard Holden talk about Marlene with some other boys, that she was an incredible beater and stuff.”
“Really?” You said smiling wider “I mean, no doubt, she’s amazing!  But he said that?”
Mary nodded “According to Myrtle, that is… She also said some boys have been saying you’re part Veela because of your charm, be careful they may try and throw you into the water to see if you’re a good swimmer.”
You laughed at that, you were a good swimmer, but they couldn’t have been more off with their guesses. “So… what are you waiting for Mars? You have to make your move!”
“Make my move?” She gasped.
You nodded “Well, at the party you seemed pretty close, admit you like him or–”
“–Kiss him unexpectedly,” completed Mary.
“Yeah, that too.” You nodded.
“Well…” Marlene said taking a deep breath “I’m thinking I could– I wanted to invite him to Hogsmeade over the weekend, actually.”
“That’s brilliant!” You told her “Isn’t that tomorrow?”
She nodded in response “You coming too? I heard Sirius and James mention they wanted to show you around.”
“They haven’t told me anything about it, but I guess I’ll tag along with ya’ll anyway.”
At that point Lily stood up from her place and stretched, yawning softly “What time is it?”
“10:30,” answered Marlene after looking at her wrist watch “You done?”
She nodded “But we have to stay up for at least an hour,” Lily complained.
“Why?” Mary asked.
“We’re going to harvest some fluxweed,” you responded instead.
“Oh… because it’s full moon,” Marlene acknowledged.
You nodded “When are you getting yours?”
“Marlene ordered them from a fancy potion supply store.”
“That was allowed?” you asked, surprised.
Marlene shrugged “Not sure, but I highly doubt Slughorn will find out, if anything, we can say we picked them out with you.”
“Sure,” Lily said, sitting down on the sofa next to you, placing your feet on top offer lap to make some space. You made a move to bring your feet down but she shook her head “It’s alright, rest up, you’ve been awake since like 5 am, haven’t you?” You nodded, letting your feet on to lay over her lap “You should just tell James to screw off and sleep in, I can tell you’re not a morning person.”
You laughed “I wish, but I want to be in top shape for the game and… to be honest, I’m still getting used to my new broom, that’s why I’ve been flying every morning.” Out of nowhere, a pillow was thrown towards your face “Oi, what was that for?” You asked looking at Marlene, who’d been responsible for it.
“Show off,” she said “I need time to practice with my new broom,” she teased “and then she goes and flies like a professional every single damn time.” You opened your mouth to try to speak but closed it soon after, Marlene continued talking “James has been making the training even tougher so we keep up with her.”
“Sorry,” you said then “I guess I just really like flying.” After all, it’s in my blood, you thought. You wondered if you’d ever trust them enough to tell them about it, the answer was pretty simple, you already did, and you wanted to, but you knew how dangerous it was.
You stayed talking with the girls for a while, Marlene told you about the time she got on the quidditch team, Lily talked about being exceptionally good at potions and being invited to an exclusive party with Slughorn and Mary told you about the private classes she had been taking with Madam Pomfrey, about all the new potions and spells she had learned.
“It’s finally 11,” said Lily when Mars finished the story about the worst date she had gone on, she’d been invited to a magical restaurant, that had been jinxed by an angry customer the previous day, it had been absolute mayhem.
You stood up, stretching yourself “We should probably get going,” you said with a smile. She nodded and picked her backpack up, taking out a piece of paper and handing it over. You looked at her puzzled.
“It’s a nigh pass, I asked McGonagall for it,” she told you “We can go out and Filnch won’t say a thing.”
“Oh nice,” you said looking at the paper, boy, how easy would it be to make duplicates of it, with different dates. “Shall we?” You asked tilting your head towards the door. She nodded and the two of you walked towards the portrait of the fat lady.
“Good luck girls!” You heard Marlene shout from behind.
“Yeah, we’ll be back in the bedroom.”

The four magic beans
Summery : Reader hates physical injuries and has very low pain tolerance.
Pairings : James Potter x Reader
One thing that James knew about you was that you absolutely hated getting injured because you have very low pain tolerance. You simply felt like you're being a burden with your whining and needy-ness while you're injured. So you avoided it all-together.
But your boyfriend had forced you to join the gryffindor quidditch team just because you were great at it. I mean as he put it in words,
"Sweetheart I've never seen anyone ride a broom as fast as you do! You fly like cheeta of birds. You're awesome!" And James being James, he had somehow convinced you to finally play as the seeker of gryffindor quidditch team.
But things don't usually go the way you want them to. You remember all the times that things go south-wards for you. Like the time when you tried to save the kitty from the tree and fell off of it or the time you went to pet your neighbour's tortoise and it bit you. Yeah, a tortoise bit you. Like how pathetic is that? A tortoise out of everything? You were even embarrassed to tell the story.
But like I said the life ain't fair. That's exactly what you thought while you were chasing down the snitch and the other team's beater sent a bludger towards you. Your arm stretched out to finally get a hold of the little flying golden ball and suddenly a big metal ball come at very fast pace hitting the middle of your forearm directly. You did get a hold of the golden snitch but with that you heard a sickening crack and your boyfriend shouting your name in high concern as you lost your balance on your broom and fell off it and landed straight on the ground.
James tried his best to catch you but he failed. And there you were laying still on the ground with your hand clutched to your chest, James could see you were trembling but he also knew that even if the whole world comes tumbling down you would never break the facade of bravery.
You slowly stood up, the silence in the stadium was deafening. Even after the foul play of the opposite team you held your non-injured arm up in the air and showed off the treasure that you caught. A loud cheer erupted in the quidditch field as gryffindor had won the match.
James was beyond proud of you but he also knew you were dying inside so he quickly got off his broom and came rushing towards you. Madame Huch came at a fast pace as well as she examined your arm and sent you immediately to Madam Pomfrey.
James was the one to accompany you.
"Come on darling, let's get you all patched up, yeah. And then we can cuddle in my dorm and eat the shittiest snacks that you love and I can read you your favourite book. Come on." James said as he noticed tears gathering in your beautiful eyes. James was absolutely amazing. He always knew what you needed before you did. It was one of his 'i am the mom of the group' traits.
You went inside the hospital wing, still in your quidditch apparell.
"Oh, dear! I was waiting for one to be truthful. Not a single quidditch match goes without an injury. Come here, dear. Mr. Potter assist Miss. L/N to take a proper seat on one of the beds." She ordered James and quickly left to get supplies.
James saw that your facade was still on. The mask never breaking even though your eyes were glistening.
Soon Madam Pomfrey came and patched your hand up. She said that it was easier to fix broken bones so she'd let you go for now but asked you to visit if the pain gets unbearable.
At that you looked back at James with a little pout. You were on verge of breaking down but made sure not to. You had to be brave! You're a gryffindor for godric's sake!
James took you back to his dorm like he promised.
"Jamie, I can't change on my own I need help!" You mumbled pathetically as you looked at the shirt he offered you with tears in your eyes. You had finally had enough of the pretence.
"I know sweetheart. I know. Now, come're. You can let go now. It's okay." He took you in his arms and you broke down. After a while he helped you change into his clothes. One of his shirts and his sweats that were too big on you but you felt safe and comfortable in them. You adored wearing his clothes. They smelled like him. Like cinnamon, smoke and a nice musky cologne. And James loves seeing you in his clothes. The way you looked adorable even in overly big clothes of his.
The pain in your arm was slowly increasing and you couldn't help the tears from spilling out of your eye lashes.
"oh, doe. What happened?" James cooed as he hugged you softly to his chest. Made sure not to hurt your arm.
"Hurts!" You whimpered.
"Awh, I know baby. I'm so sorry. What do you want me to do, hmm? I'd do anything to make you feel better. You just say the word." Once again you found yourself tucked in his arms, hiding your face in his warm chest as he ran his fingers through your soft hair.
"I jus' wanna cuddle." You sniffed lightly.
"If that's what you need then that's exactly what we'd do. Let me just change and set our bed up, yeah?" You nodded your head a little as you sat on the edge of Sirius' bed.
James was quick to change and quick with making sure that his bed was comfortable enough for you to rest properly. He set up fluffy pillows and your favourite fuzzy blanket that he owned. You got under the sheets and waited for James to join you. He was quick to. He hugged you around the waist so not to hurt your arm. You laid your head on his chest and put your injured arm on his chest and settled yourself in your boyfriend's warmth.
"You know you were great today. The way you flew after that Snitch! I was frozen at the spot just looking at you. Merlin, sweets you were amazing!" Your face redden at his compliments.
"You were amazing too, Jamie. That snatch from wood was amazing!" You looked up at him with a smirk.
"Yupp. You taught me that move. Ofcourse it was gonna be amazing." He winked down at you.
"Yes. Yes I did." You both let out a little giggle.
As you were both settled in. James was reading ' Great Gatsby ' out loud to you when the door to the dorm opened slowly to reveal the other three marauders.
"Hey, Bambi. You alright there?" Sirius asked as he came and sat on the edge of your bed to examine your arm from afar.
"Looks pretty banged up, doesn't it, Moony?" He said with a little pout on his lips.
" 'tis alright." You said, clearly lying.
"Mhm. Sure." Remus sassed.
"Here, it'll make you feel better." He tossed a bar of chocolate to you. James helped you open it up and you happily nibbled on it.
"Oh, I brought you some snacks, if you'd like?" Peter passed James some snacks seeing that he was the one feeding you with his hands.
"Thank you, Remus, Peter." You smiled gratefully at them.
"Where's my thank you?" Sirius raised his eyebrow at you.
"Thank you for what? What did you bring?"
"She's right, Pads." James smirked matching the one on your face.
"Oh, so now my presence isn't enough for you." He rolled his eyes at the two of you.
"Well I guess you don't want these then." He took out a Pack from his robe pocket.
It was a jumbo couldron cake. These taste even better than the normal sized ones.
"Can I please have it?" You looked at him with the best puppy eyes that you could make.
Say, 'Thank you, Sirius. I don't know what i'd do without you. Cause my tosser of a boyfriend doesn't even know to bring me snacks.' then you can have it." Sirius smirked.
"Thank you, Sirius. I don't know what i'd do without you. Cause my tosser of a boyfriend doesn't even know to bring me snacks."
"Hey! You're my girlfriend!" James whined.
"Yeah, but he has the jumbo couldron cake. And I really want one." You smiled feigning innocence.
"There you go, Prongs' girlfriend." Sirius handed you the couldron cake.
"You know I hate you, right?" James scowled at him as he winked at you.
"What did I even do?" Sirius asked in a mellow tone.
Their argument continued. You just looked at them. The four magic beans you had that made you forget about the pain of the presence and the fear of the future and the hurt of the past. You listened to their argument for bit more but soon fell asleep with your boyfriend caressing your hair and your neck and the laughs of your favourite people in the world.
The marauders.

How Redacted Characters Wrap Gifts Pt 2
Here's how I envision various Redacted bois would wrap their gifts...
Demons
Avior: So neat. Matching ribbon and gift tag. If he can't find a matching gift tag, there won't be one. He'll remember who it's for. Doesn't have huge amounts of patience for wrapping, so although he prefers to hand wrap, if it's a difficult shape, has no qualms at all about finger snapping the wrapping!
Regulus: He knows his precious human enjoys unwrapping gifts at this time of year. Unfortunately they're unavailable to do so at the moment. When they're in a better position, however, there's a lot - and I do mean a lot - of gifts waiting for them, hidden away. All perfectly wrapped as they deserve, in sparkly paper. Ready to make them smile as much as they make him smile. Eventually...
Camelopardalis: Uses seed paper. It's colourful and has wildflower seeds in so you can plant it. I nearly gave this one to Huxley, but this kind of felt like Cam would like it too.
Vega: Given that gifts aren't a human concept, he could be persuaded to give someone a token gift perhaps? If they needed something, like a human to feed on maybe. Wrapping might be a step too far.
EMPOWERED HUMANS
Elliott: Uses fabric! Brightly colored scarves, fabric squares, anything he thinks the reciever would enjoy.
Blake: Gets that cheap shit that tears the second you try and use it. Tapes over the holes badly. Pathetic.
Morgan: Tired of this shit already. Uses gift bags. So much easier!
James: Gives gift cards inside greetings cards, written really nicely in fountain pen.
UNEMPOWERED HUMANS
Geordi: Passable. Not quite as bad as Asher, but this is not really a skill Geordi has. Likes to use bio-degradable paper.
Guy: WRAPPING! Oh yes! Will absolutely try to find funny or offensive paper. Be warned. Probably as bad as the contents. Saw a YouTube Short about wrapping a gift in several layers of duct tape, zip ties, paper, staples, rubber bands and thought it was HYSTERICAL! Honey did not.
Aaron: Very civilised. Sits down with everything he needs, some music on and a drink, and spends a whole evening wrapping up in nice normal paper.
Marcus: Tells people he's "donating to a good cause this year" instead of giving gifts and cards. He's a lying sack of shit.
Ollie: Very careful, and you can generally see where he's peeled back the tape to re-stick it because he dropped the tape on the paper in the wrong place.
SPECIAL MENTIONS
Hush: Wasn't sure what was going on, but after Doc showed him and explained the whole thing, turned out to be really good at wrapping. Doc made him wrap all of theirs too.
Adam: He would roll the paper around the gift and roll the tape around it several times, but he can't, because he's FUCKING DEAD IN EVERY UNIVERSE.
Marie: You don't wrap Tupperware. She gives food. She's perfect like that.
Did I miss anyone? Want me to do someone? Let me know!
Happy holidays!

| Feb 1st - Shower. | @jegulus-microfic | 718 words | CW- mention of past suicide attempt, minor panic attack
Regulus was confused when he walked into the house. It was quiet, which was unusual. There was typically music playing or the telly or James and Sirius arguing about something unimportant. He toed off his boots and hung up his coat before walking further into the house. Regulus pulled out his phone to check his messages. Sometimes, he got so busy with work that he would miss a message from James telling him that he would be out. No new messages. Did James tell him that he was going to be late today? Regulus couldn't remember, but then again, it had been a hectic day at the bookshop with the book signing and all. Regulus was surprised that he remembered to grab all of his belongings on the way home. "James?" Regulus called out, but there was no answer. He went to the kitchen first. No, James. Regulus walked around the ground floor of the house and found no sign of James. It was like he hadn't been there all day. Everything was still in the same place as when Regulus went to work that morning. That was strange. He started to make his way upstairs to their bedroom when he heard the shower running. Okay. James was in the shower. Regulus knocked on the door gently before calling James' name again. There was no answer. Why wasn't James answering him? Regulus tried the handle, and it was unlocked. That was a relief. They never locked the bathroom door in the house. Not after Regulus found James passed out on the floor with blood dripping on the floor from his wrists. Regulus opened the door slowly, still preparing himself for the worst. He didn't like that that was where his mind went first, but that was the scariest day of his life. Not knowing if James was going to wake up. Not knowing if he had lost the love of his life and knowing that he wasn't there for him when James needed him most. "Jamie?" Regulus called out tentatively again as he walked into the bathroom. He pulled back the curtain, and there was no James. Instead, he saw red-tinted water running down the drain, and Regulus' heart dropped in his stomach. Regulus frantically turned around, prepared to run around the house until he found James, but as soon as he turned around, James was standing there with red water droplets running down his naked body. "JAMES!" Regulus exclaimed frantically as he looked for any sign of injury. "Oh, hey, love. I didn't know you were home already." James smiled as he grabbed a towel off of the rack and wrapped it around his waist. Regulus couldn't comprehend what was going on. Red water in the bath. Red water droplets on James. There was no visible injury, but he still couldn't get the image of James passed out on the bathroom floor out of his brain as his heartbeat sped up. "Whoa, whoa. Breathe for me, love. I'm here. I just need you to breathe," James said soothingly as he grabbed Regulus' hand and put it on his own heart. "Come on. I know you can do it. Match mine." It took a minute, but Regulus was able to match James' breathing, and the wet skin under his hand helped to ground him. Regulus took a deep breath and looked into James' concerned hazel eyes. "There you are, love." Regulus took another deep breath. "What happened?" "Red water," Regulus replied quietly, and James seemed to understand instantly. "Oh, I'm sorry, baby. I didn't mean to scare you." James let out a huff of a laugh as he pulled Regulus in for a tight hug. "I wanted to surprise you," he said sheepishly. "Surprise me?" "Yeah. I didn't think you would be home yet." "But the shower and the red." Regulus stared uncomprehendingly. "Why was the shower on and the water red?" "Oh, that. I forgot something, so I jumped out and ran to get it." James pointed to the bottle on the counter. "But why was the water red?" Regulus asked, frustrated now that he knew James was okay. "I dyed my hair," James said with a shy smile. It was then that Regulus finally looked up at James' dripping wet locks and noticed the red tint to them.

Brave
Neither Remus or Sirius had been sure what to expect that first full moon after they left Hogwarts. There was no more shack, no more forest… but then Remus was no longer at home, and there was no more cage in Lyall’s cellar either. James was already out on a mission for the order, Pete was … they weren’t sure where Pete was, but it was just the two of them and with nowhere to go.
They had ended up staying at Sirius’s place. Sirius had put an undetectable extension charm on his little flat and enchanted the magically enhanced space so it looked and felt like the forest at night. Remus had felt quite overwhelmed when he saw it, and his eyes had brimmed with tears which he was quick to hide.
Then it was just a matter of casting all the protection charms they could muster, so Remus could not get out and no one else could get in and they were ready to go.
It was not a bad night, all told. Moony was wild as always, but Padfoot was more than a match for him - he wrestled with him, played with him and soothed him and then, just as the night was dying, they curled up together and fell asleep.
But when they woke up, Remus still bore the marks of the night before - the deep red scratches and purple bruises which always marred his skin after a night as the wolf.
‘I suppose it’s up to me to take care of you now we don’t have Madam Pomfrey,’ Sirius said, getting to his feet and trying not to feel awkward at having woken up embracing his friend. He waved his wand and put his flat back to normal, and helped Remus into bed. ‘I’ve - er - I’ve got the paste she used to put on your scratches to help them heal. I’ll - I’ll go get it, shall I?’
He returned to find Remus sitting up in bed, but with the covers pulled right up to his chin. ‘Thanks -’ Remus muttered, not quite meeting Sirius’s eye, ‘you can - can just leave it on the side. I’ll put in on myself.’
Sirius tried to quash the stab of disappointment he felt. ‘But how will you reach the ones on your back?’
‘I’ll manage.’
‘Don’t be soft - let me help you. You don’t have to do everything by yourself.’
‘I know - I’m not trying to, but…’ Remus looked miserable and squinted down at his knees. He was now definitely avoiding Sirius’s eye. ‘I don’t want you to have to touch me,’ he mumbled
Panic and dread and shame and guilt flooded through Sirius at once, a bolt of heat which left him flushed and sweating. ‘What? Why?’ If Remus knew how he felt … this would be the end of everything…
But Remus was still not looking at Sirius and did not notice his friend’s discomfort in the face of his own. ‘Because…’ tears seemed to fill his eyes. ‘Because I know you don’t want to. I wouldn’t want to. I know what I look like - all these scars… I know how ugly I am. I don’t blame you…’
Sirius stared at him, ‘but I never said…’ He sat down on the bed. ‘Look at me,’ he said, ‘and he waited until Remus looked up. ‘I don’t think your scars are ugly, I’m - I’m not afraid of touching them. They’re a part of you - they’re the part of you that shows how brave you are, that tells the story of how much you suffer and how you keep on going. I love your scars - they’re what make you Moony. And I am going to help you heal, whether you like it or not - so stop being silly and take off those covers.’
Remus was hesitant, but in the end he did as he was told. And, although they never admitted it to each other, those few moments - where Sirius’s fingertips brushed over Remus’s rough skin, soft and feather light, were some of the best minutes of their whole lives.

Game Day
For @goodboylupin 's Candy Hearts Challenge. My prompt was U R #1
1977
The first quidditch match of seventh year was set to be a tense one. As always, Slytherin and Gryffindor were the first teams that would face off. It was James's last season as captain and he was determined to go out on a win. The opposing captain was Regulus Black. It was his first year as captain and he wanted to start on a high.
And then there was Sirius, who had been welcomed back to the team after a year's suspension and would be facing his brother for the first time since leaving Grimmauld Place. He had been practising with James all summer, trying to get back to where he was before he took the time off. He was looking good, possibly better than he'd ever been, but it wasn't enough for him.
Sirius had spent every night on the Quidditch pitch for weeks. Remus had followed him out, braving the cold evenings to sit on the stands and watch his boyfriend hit bludgers back and forth with startling accuracy. Remus had practically had to drag him back to the dorms the closer it got to the game.
Sirius was exhausted leading up to the game. He was overworking himself and still wasn't happy with his performance. He didn't just want to be good. He wanted to be perfect. For James. For himself. Even for Regulus, at least a little. Remus was worried. He had to do something.
He started with gentle encouragement, watching Sirius's every move at practice and telling Sirius everything he did well as they walked to the dorms together. Sirius would blush and smile at the ground bashfully. When that stopped working, when Sirius stopped taking him seriously and began talking down on himself, Remus switched tactics. He'd head down to the pitch with a thermos of herbal tea for Sirius and walk to the castle with his boyfriend in silence. When they got to the dorms, Remus would massage Sirius's sore muscles and put salve on any bruises he'd acquired that day before they lay down to sleep.
The night before the game, James had physically withheld Sirius from going to the pitch and carried him back to the dorm, insisting that he get a full night's sleep to be at his best. Remus waited until he was snoring gently before extracting himself from Sirius's grasp and sneaking back to the common room to meet Lily. He felt bad leaving Sirius alone, but he would be back soon, and it would be worth it when Sirius saw what they had been doing.
The next morning, the quidditch team was first at the breakfast table, meaning Remus, Lily and Peter were also present, if much more sleepy. Sirius pressed a kiss to Remus's head before he left for warmup, muttering something about a good luck charm that made Remus smile into his second cup of coffee.
The game started a while later, and it was tight from the beginning. The Slytherin team was ruthless, breaking a few rules and attempting to shove Gryffindor players off their brooms, but the Gryffindors were good flyers and held their own. It took a long time for a point to be scored, James finally breaking through Slytherin's defence and putting the quaffle through the middle hoop as Sirius hit a bludger at the Keeper, distracting him from blocking the point.
The crowd cheered for the two marauders and Sirius grinned, searching the crowd for his boyfriend. He finally spotted him and his eyes widened slightly in surprise.
Remus Lupin, who always brought a book to quidditch matches, who barely bothered to wear a Gryffindor scarf to the games, was decked out in Gryffindor colours, wearing Sirius's old quidditch jersey that he had charmed to fit him. Next to him was Lily Evans, also dressed up with her boyfriend's jersey. They were hiding a sign between them, a beautifully drawn lion at the bottom - likely Lily's work - with words in gold spanning the length of the sign.
POTTER AND BLACK
U R #1
Sirius was nearly hit by a bludger as he stared at the sign, snapping back to attention as Marlene flew up next to him and slapped him upside the head. He blew a kiss to Remus before refocusing on the game.
Sirius didn't miss a single hit for the rest of the game, managing to defend the chasers in perfect sync with Marlene. He eventually hit a bludger towards his brother, blocking the seeker's path and allowing Gryffindor to catch the snitch. He flew straight to Remus when the game ended, ignoring the team's celebration on the ground. Remus caught him easily and wrapped him in a tight hug.
"Brilliant," he whispered into Sirius's hair. "You're bsolutely brilliant."

Hey Val, how are you doing?
I was just wondering if you would be able to give us a little taster of anything you've written but not yet posted? I'm almost done binging all your writing 😢😢
🩷🩷🩷🩷
First of all, thank you for your support!!
Here is what I’ll do, I’ll post a few sneak peeks of Wips for either chapters or one shots I’m writing!
My Little Love:
“What do you say, Henry, should you have matching braids like your sister?” You joke as you comb through his hair.
“Mama.” He giggles. “No. I want my hair down.”
“Oh, ok. If you change your mind though, I can totally braid it.”
He laughs but pulls away while Lottie begs him to get braids.
“We’ll get him next time, sweet Angel.”
“Next time, mama.”
“Alright, time for shoes.”
You grab Lottie and head toward her room when you bump into Bucky who was dressed and ready to go.
“What is this about braiding Henry’s hair?” He was already giving you a suspicious look but the corners of his mouth were upturned.
“You next dada.”
Life, love and dancing with death
Civil War!Bucky Barnes x reader
A few hours later, in the middle of the night while you’re watching the world pass by your window you hear screaming. It’s muffled but you hear it. It dawns on you that it’s from the apartment below yours. Bucky was in trouble. Or so you thought, so you rush down stairs and knock on his door until it swings open. The sight before you is devastating. Bucky’s eyes were wide and distant, like he was lost in his memories. Sweat kept some of his hair clinging to his forehead and overall he looked terrified.
“James?” You called softly. “Is everything ok?”
He shook his head, eyes filled with unshed tears.
“What can I do?”
“Can- can I f-feel you?” He stuttered through the question.
“I’m here.” You reached your hand out and he took it before pulling you into his apartment.
Bucky doesn’t just hold you, no he clings to you. Desperate to wake up from his nightmares, to realize that he isn’t strapped to that chair anymore. You don’t know any of that of course and he isn’t going to tell you either. Instead he does something he hasn’t done in 70 years.
He kisses a pretty girl.
This is how it feels
Modern Prince!Ransom Drysdale x Reader
It was like breathing for the first time. Like seeing color in its true vibrant form. Hugh Ransom Drysdale, disgraced Prince, came to life the moment he saw you across the ballroom.
Ethereal and the picture of grace. A beauty beyond compare. As all royals there was an air of sadness that you masked poorly but no one seemed to notice or care. But Ransom saw it, he felt it in his soul. He had learned a long time ago that no one cared, especially when you screwed up and tore the family’s reputation to shreds.
If no one cared why should he? That was a lesson Ransom took to heart. It’s how he became the black sheep of the royal family and was practically a pariah. He was tolerated because his grandfather was King. He used his status as Prince to bed any woman he chose including the wives of foreign noblemen. At one point a war was almost started and even then Ransom didn’t seem to care.
Ransom watched as you were paraded around the ballroom by different eligible bachelors. It was clear that your father was using you as a bargaining chip and you knew it.
Love in times of war part 2
“I knew it was a bad idea to let her go out so soon.” Steve’s voice reached you but it was so hard to open your eyes.
“Too soon? Steve, she's been here for two months. You can’t keep her locked up.”
That was Bucky. They were having a whispered argument.
“It’s not about keeping her locked up. It’s about keeping her safe. She’s still the only person that knows the formula for the serum. Every agency and country in the world is going to come after her.”
“Steve?” You asked. Everything was blurry, all you could make out was shapes moving around and that caused you to panic. “Steve?”
“I’m right here. It’s ok.”
“I can’t see.”
“I know, it’s a side effect from the smoke grenades and the hit you took but it will clear up.” He reassured you while taking your hand. You breathed a sigh of relief at having him close.
“What happened?”
Oh Baby (might turn this into a 2part or mini series)
Single dad! Bucky x Single mom!Reader
Flustered, unsure and overwhelmed did not begin to cover the emotions Bucky was feeling as he walked into the room full of moms. A newborn strapped into the stroller and a backpack full of supplies strapped to his back. His long hair was pulled into a messy bun which allowed everyone to see how exhausted he looked.
“May I help you?” The instructor asked as she got closer to him.
“This is the class for parents with newborns, right?”
“Yes it is. Is your wife or girlfriend joining us?” The smile the instructor had plastered on her face was fake.
“No. I saw online that anyone could join. I have a newborn and I don’t really know what I’m doing. Thought I could give the class a try.” He scratched the back of his neck nervously as he looked around the room.
Almost everyone had a look of disapproval on their face which only served to make Bucky feel worse. He was out of his depth having to care for a newborn.
“Well it says that but this is really a mommy and me class.”
“Well the ad said anyone can join so where can I sit?” Bucky said with more confidence.
The instructor gave an exasperated sigh and opened her mouth to ask him to leave.
“There’s a free spot here.”

Imagine: Having a crush on James Potter, but thinking he doesn't love you back, but he does
Anonymous request:Hello! 🧡 first I want to tell you I really love your christmas theme!!! It is amazing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Can I request something with james potter, please? The main idea: reader has a huge crush on james, but she thinks she doesn't have a chance with him (because she is very shy and not popular as him). Then at the end of a quidditch match james is so happy and excited for his victory team, so he approaches reader to ask her out on a date. (You can decide what happens next)Thank you sweet writer! 🧡P.s Happy holidays too! Enjoy them! <333
You had a crush on James Potter you were shy telling him that because you knew he wouldn't like you back since he's popular, but little did you know that James is in love with you
"What is your hurried prongs"? Remus asks, looking at James getting ready quickly.
"So he can go talk to his girlfriend." Sirius tease
"You have a girlfriend?" Peter asked
"Well, she's not my girlfriend yet. " James smiles
"Who are we talking about?" Remus asked
"Y/n." James blushes
"Y/N's really shy and she's really beautiful, but I heard Snivellus has a crush on her." Sirius says
"Snivellus can't like her, I liked her first." James says in jealousy
"Well, if I were you I would ask her out before Snivellus does. " Sirius laughed but stopped when James left angrily
"Hey!! Watch where your go-. " James cut himself when he noticed that he had bumped into you "I'm sorry. " You said, trying not to blush in front of James
"Love don't be it's my fault I wasn't watching where I was going." James tries so hard to not blush, but he couldn't help it since he was in front of his crush
You blush "I need to tell you something."
"Well, I also need to tell you something."
"You can go first."
"Y/N i"-.
"Y/N." Severus stopped smiling when he saw James with you
"Stupid Snivellus." James angrily whispers
"Y/n is he bothering you?" Severus glares at James
"He's not, we're just talking." You smiled
"About?" Severus asked, curious
James angrily crossed his arm "none of your business."
You grabbed Severus' arm so he wouldn't pick a fight with James "Let's go Severus and James you can tell me later on what you wanted to tell me."
James storms off as his jealousy was going through his body
"James, are you ok?" Sirius asked worry as he noticed James was crying
James let his tears fall down to his cheeks "I was going to tell her that I like her, but Snivellus had it to ruin everything."
Sirius gives James a hug "don't give up on her fight for her don't let Snivellus take your girl away from You"
"I won't and that's a promise."
"Why don't you invite her to your Quidditch match and once it's over you run to her and ask her on a date and also ask her to be your girlfriend so Snivellus won't ever try to steal your girl ever again."
James smiles, "Thank you for your help Padfoot."
"Prongs that's what best friends are for." Sirius smiles as he sees James leaving happily
Lily and you were watching James play Quidditch matching since he invited you, but you decided to bring Lily with you instead of Severus
"Why don't you tell him already?"
"Lily, he doesn't feel the same, he's going to end up rejecting me." You smiled sadly
"How do you know that?" Lily asked
"Because he's popular and I'm not."
Lily rolled her eyes, "he doesn't care if you're popular or not and I bet he feels the same way."
You shake your head "I know he doesn't so stop trying to get my hopes up."
"Y/N I wish you knew that James actually does have feelings for you." Lily whispers
You look over at Lily, "did you say something?"
"No."
Everyone, including Lily and you clapped as James's team wins you looked at Lily confused as James runs over to you and Lily gives you a smiled knowing that James is going to confess his love for you
"Y/n love I want to tell you how I feel about you before Stupid Snivellus comes over and ruins it."
"James, what are you saying?"
"Love, I have feelings for you so I'm asking you if you want to go on a date with me and also if you want to be my girlfriend."
"You like me?" You asked, shocked
James blushes "who wouldn't like a beautiful girl like you so what do you say?"
You smile "Yes, I would love to go on that date with you and of course I would love to be your girlfriend."
James smiles as he pulled you into a deep kiss as everyone watched and cheered and a glaring Severus
Harry had tears in his eyes. "Wow, that was lovely, so that's how my parents began dating?"
Sirius nodded "Yes, I even cried and cheered for them."
Harry cried "I wish I'd met my parents, their love story always makes me sad but happy."
"James and Y/N were really great people, they always loved you, they were overprotective of you Harry."
Harry smiled "I sometimes feel alone without my parents but I don't anymore because I have great people who always look out for me and I'm grateful for it."
"We will always be with you." Lily pulled Harry into a hug
"Always and forever." Remus pulled everyone into a big group hug

Hello, sunshine! Can I request how mtp men (mainly Moriarty and Co, maybe Holmes brothers?) will react to finding out what their s/o, who they are rather smitten about, doesn't see that they find so appealing in them? Like, they really don't see anything outstanding in their own self, saying that they're boring and mediocre at best, despite them actually being a talented and reliable person. I hope I managed to explain my request coherently enough ^^" English is not my first language, so I apologize for any mistakes.
Omg idk why but I got scared when I saw 'sunshine' thank you tho that was really sweet of you :)
Dw your request is great and dw about your English it's great! Thank you for the request! But idk who Co is. Like I know that Co. Stands for county but I don't think there's a character who is a county

Feat. William, Louis, Albert, Sherlock, Mycroft
Enjoy!
Tumblr media
William James Moriarty:
Honestly he'll be like huh????
When when you asked him why he liked you so much since you would never match his intelligence and your ideas always seemed so bland next to his he was confused.
Like he wouldn't really show it tho, he'll just smile and say that you are very smart and talented and would give examples when you surpassed his intelligence or when he was inspired by you.
Or if you're really good at something then he'll mention it and say how he doesn't know anyone who can do that as well as you do.
He'll also say something like 'I feel in love with you for a reason.' Or something along those lines.
Louis James Moriarty:
Man could talk about about you for hours and I mean HOURS.
Like if you make things e.g. paint or drawing then he'll show you everything you painted/drawn and gave to him and he'll say it belongs in a gallery and constantly compliment you on how talented you are, not only in art but in many other things.
If there's something that he can't do but you can then he'll definitely mention it like you're talented and he can write a whole ass essay saying how talented you are.
Albert James Moriarty:
He's surprised, he asked you to do things for him or simply asked you questions because he knew you had extensive on certain topics, so why were you asking why he was in love with you and were you saying you're boring?
Like you helped him in many ways and you think you're boring??!?!?!
He will give you a whole fucking list on why aren't boring at all and how talented you are and reliable not 100% not boring.
Sherlock Holmes:
He thought it was a joke and started laughing.
When he realised you were being serious it amused him even more, you boring? Really? If you were so boring Sherlock wouldn't be all over you.
If he still didn't convince you, he will tell you how many skill you have in which other people lack.
Mycroft Holmes:
He is confused, how can you be boring?
Especially if you work with him in MI6 cuz tell me one boring person from there, see you can't .
He will explain how you aren't boring at all and will list all your skills and/or talents as a result.

James
Part 8! :D
Masterlist
First Chapter/ Previous Chapter/ Next Chapter
Content under the cut!
“PINKY!”
The lesser fairy shouted loudly. The poor girl had enough of everything. She was trying to still come to grips with the fact that they had messed up as badly as they did in terms of having their “guests”. She was not happy. “WHAT?!”
“We need things!!”
“What kind of things?!”
“Supplies, materials, the like.” The lesser fairy kept shouting.
Twilight saw the poor girl sag before she looked up. Her eyebrow twitched. “Very helpful.”
“Um-” Twilight spoke up.
She turned to him, with a mildly nasty look. Twilight couldn’t help but shrink back slightly. She huffed and moved her hair away from face, drawing it back into a tight hold with her hands at the back of her head. “Yes?
Twilight coughed, trying to keep his gaze low. It landed on her legs. No bad. Back up. “I can go with you?”
She didn’t look impressed.
Twilight coughed again, feeling a slight warmth to his cheeks. “Really! I’m a great tracker!”
She stared at him for a moment longer before she groaned and adjusted her hair once more. “Alright. I suppose there’s nothing wrong with it. Let me get the list from the Tweedles and then we can head out.”
Twilight tilted his head. Tweedles? Is that their name?.... What’s a Tweedle? And why are there more than one?
The girl left for a moment, Twilight fell into a moment of weakness as he watched her leave, paying a little more attention to her than he should have. He snapped his head away when he realized what he was doing. He felt so dumb. Why is he like this? Why didn’t he go get the others? Why did he offer to go with her? Alone?
She came back faster than he expected and pocket a small piece of paper in her top. Another thing Twilight felt bad for noticing. “Alright. Let’s get this over-”
She paused and looked him up and down, her annoyance morphed into a sweet concerned face- directed at him. “Hey. You ok? You look sick.”
She walked up to him, putting a soft hand on his cheek and his forehead. She was… smaller than he thought she would be now that she’s this close. He could do something. But what was it? What was his brain telling him to do? It was all action but no direction. What was happening? Man, she is so cute!
“Are you sick?” She asked him, putting a hand on his shoulder. He half wanted her to lower her hand to his arm, then maybe he could flex and then she would feel his muscles. No, that’s dumb. That’s really dumb. What is he thinking?
“I’m fine.” He smiles. “I’m.. umm… I was coughing. It’ll go down.”
She raised an eyebrow, seemingly seeing right through his fib. “Uh-huh… quiet cougher, aren’t cha?”
Twilight clears his throat. “...It was on my own spit…”
He’s an idiot. What’s wrong with him? Twilight scratched the back of his head, smiling as brightly as he could to get out of the grave he’s digging for himself. “It’s fine! Really! Let’s go get that list your friend asked for!”
She shook her head and grabbed her staff. “I hope you’re good at identifying trees and catching animals.”
Twilight’s face dropped. “What?”
“We need three different types of bark and some fur. Apparently that sword the chosen one has isn’t strong enough for what we have planned and we need to fortify it before the end of the month.”
Twilight tried to keep up, she was no longer waiting for him. “Why? The Master Sword is capable of a lot of things. It even dispels dark magic.”
“While true, we also need it to close the rifts in the space-time continuum. That being said, they’re still being made faster than we can take out. So! We better make this quick. Then the Lesser One can fix up the sword and the fairy can get off of our backs for a little bit since the plan would be in motion faster than we anticipated.”
Twilight manages to catch up to her and match her stride in an instant… Was she always a fast walker? He’s having to actually need to put effort into keeping up with her.
She walks through the hideout with startling confidence before she moves through some boxes, disappearing for a moment. Two seconds pass before her arm shows up again and Twilight is pulled through. He ends up in the middle of a forest, but he’s disoriented and lost. He doesn’t know where he is.
He’s spinning on his feet, making it worse as he tries to figure out where both of them are. “Where are- How did-”
“You can thank the Lesser One for that.” She says proudly. “It didn’t take them too long to figure out how to get through Hyrule through portals instead of going from dimension to dimension. This way. Bark number one should grow on the west side if I remember correctly.”
Twilight follows blindly. He’s thoroughly impressed. And it wasn’t even her doing.
“How long do you think this would take us?” He asks her quietly, following her as she leads the way.
“Why?” She looks at him softly. Twilight finds his heart reaching out to the look. “Are you worried about your friends? They should be fine. The Lesser One likes your friend- Sky- Right? And the fairy seems to fly circles around Mr. Traveler. They’ll be taken care of. We don't have them to hurt them.”
“I know.”
“You know?” She turned to him shocked. “...How? I thought that-”
“I’ve been around earlier, remember? As Wolfie?” Twilight adds sheepishly. “I saw most of everything.”
Now it’s her turn to blush and Twilight is taken aback about how it blends into her hair. She covers her face with her hand. “....I forgot about how I treated you for a minute.”
Twilight grins like a doofus. “I didn’t~!”
She sends him a defeated look. “You should.”
