Tumblr media Tumblr media
After a morning full of cuddles with your two favorite girls, you picked up your phone to see a text from Zoe, asking if you were both ready to come down.
It was mother's day for you too, but something about this should be extra special for Cordelia. She had never got to have a special mothers day, whether it was being celebrated for her mother or herself.
Motherhood had always been a sensitive topic for Cordelia, until eighteen months ago.
It was nine thirty by now, and you figured that there was enough cuddling going on -as if you could ever get enough of them two. You texted her back a simple yes, and descended off into the kitchen with your girls moments later.
"Why are you acting so suspicious, y/n?" Cordelia asked, walking beside you down the stairs. She had little Lily nestled against her chest as the child took in her surroundings -as if she hadn't been down the stairs a million times before.
"I'm not acting suspicious" you said, though continued to act the suspicious way you were. With sweaty hands, and a dry throat, you were extremely anxious.
You and Cordelia had been trying for another baby for awhile now. You knew she wouldn't be upset about it, but having two babies at once was definitely a challenge.
"I'm just excited" you pecked her cheek, to assure her that everything was in fact okay. Then you kissed your daughters forehead, because she was bound to get jealous at any moment.
"Excited about...?"
"Excited about our first mother's day, goof!"
Lily erupted into a fit of giggles in Cordelia's arms. Nothing was particularly funny, but at this age, everything was.
"Okay so let me see Lily because you have to close your eyes" you said, only a foot away from the kitchen entrance.
She raised and eyebrow in your direction. It wasn't her birthday, although mentally, Cordelia had to double check. It definitely wasn't, Cordelia finally decided.
What could you have possibly planned on mother's day?
This day was for the both of you.
But you were making it about Cordelia.
And she suddenly felt guilty that she hadn't done anything for you, besides the million kisses this morning.
But she does that every morning, she thought.
"I'm scared" Cordelia said, as she handed Lily off into your arms. Your daughter reached her arms out and made grabby-motion hands as she gently fell into you.
"Don't be scared. Be excited."
With the hand that didn't hold Lily, you grabbed Cordelia's hand tightly. Although she was used of getting around without seeing from previously being blind, you just wanted an excuse to hold her hand.
As you walked further into the kitchen to see Zoe and the rest of the girls with smiles on their face, presents, and breakfast on the table, Lily began another fit of giggles in response to seeing her aunts.
If she could talk, she would've been a dead giveaway, you figured.
"Lily help me out here!" Cordelia said "tell me what's going on, baby."
You laughed at your wife's whines and dramatics. "Okay, open your eyes, drama queen."
You took your hands off Cordelia's eyes, and for a moment, you thought you have done something wrong. She stood there with glassy eyes, staring at the Happy Mother's day, mommies! sign.
"Oh my god" the crack in her voice completely faults her usual strong demeanor. "You girls did this all for us?"
"Mostly for you, honey. This day is extremely special for you." But all of this wasn't even the most important part of today.
With your free hand, you grabbed hers and brought her over to the table. "So...I have a very special present for you and I think you should sit down, otherwise your knees are probably going to fail you."
The girls, some sitting at the table, and others standing around, smiled brightly at you both. They knew what was happening. They were in on it.
"Zoe can you hold Lily for this?" The brunette nodded, and grabbed your daughter. She jumped right into her aunts arms as if she had been waiting decades for that. One thing Lily could love more than her mothers could possibly be her aunt Zoe.
You handed Cordelia a small box, and told her to wait before she opened it. "Before you open this, I just want you to know that I love you so much and I wouldn't change this life for anything. You and Lily are my everything, and what's in this box is going to add to that."
Cordelia, who had already been suspicious since the moment you brought her downstairs, gave you a questioning look. But that was behind all the tears.
"I love you and Lily so much" Cordelia said, because that's all she could say. That's all she could think of right now. But it was the gods honest truth.
"Okay, you may open it now."
She unraveled the bow with shaky hands, and opened the box up to a onesie that had an 'I love my mommies" on it, which was completely Mallory's idea.
"Baby, this is way too small for Lily."
"I know. It's not for Lily, just keep looking."
And when she looked down into the box, she saw it. She sees it.
Two positive lines on a white and blue stick. You were pregnant. Lily was getting a sibling. Your family was growing.
"Y/n, please tell me your not just messing with me" she says, and lifts the test out of the box. Due to the tears building up in her eyes, she begins to see four lines.
"I wouldn't do that. We're having another baby, my love" you try to hold back you own tears, but in this moment it doesn't really matter. You let them roll down your face.
Cordelia's next words are all slurred together but they have something to with 'happy, love, and baby.' You couldn't really understand her through her sobs. But then she's hugging you, and her sniffles in your ear make everything suddenly seem so real.
"We're having a baby" she says, she whispers, as if you didn't already know. But you knew this feeling all too well. You knew, you have to say it to fully process it.
"We're having a baby" you confirm.
After a few more seconds, Cordelia is the first to pull away. You can feel all eyes on you two, the big smiles, and the babbles from Lily.
"How far along?" She asks, because finally, she composed herself. Although, she thought she never would be able to.
"Eight weeks. I found out two weeks ago but I wanted it to be special when you found out. It was really hard to keep the secret though."
You noticed, once you stopped talking, that Cordelia's hand was gently placed on your stomach. You smiled to yourself. She was a good mother. Already loving her baby.
"But tomorrow I have to go back to the doctors and I want you to come with me and see her so far. The girls said they are gonna watch Lily for us so don't even stress about that."
With this information, Cordelia's bottom lip began to tremble. Anyone else would've believed she was the pregnant one with all these flying emotions.
"I can't even believe this. We're gonna have another baby! Lily's going to be a big sister!" Cordelia exclaimed.
You turned to your daughter, who had somehow made her way into Mallory's arms, and grabbed her.
"You hear that, Lily bug? You're gonna be a big sister!"
She had no idea what information was being thrown at her, but she smiled and -attempted to- clap anyways.
-
"I can drive!"
"I don't want you to. You're going to relax for the next nine months" Cordelia said.
It was the following day, and you and Cordelia were on your way to the doctors office. You were about to get into the drivers seat, but Cordelia insisted that you shouldn't drive.
She had been like this when you were pregnant with Lily, too.
You appreciated it greatly, as hovering as she was.
She just wanted you and the child to be safe and healthy.
"I can relax while driving" you crossed your arms over your chest because, hell, you were angry that she wouldn't let you drive.
"Really? Every time you drive, you act like a nut whenever someone cuts you off or doesn't drive properly." She was right. Like always.
"Fine" you said, because you knew you couldn't win the argument. She was the supreme, of course you wouldn't.
Overtime, you forgot why you were mad in the first place. Partially because Cordelia promised ice cream after the doctors.
Normally, that wouldn't slide, but you had been really craving ice cream recently.
-
Cordelia held your hand tightly, and she didn't even realize it.
There was cold jelly on your stomach, and your doctor was rubbing the wand against you. Though Cordelia couldn't take her eyes off of the screen.
"There they are! They're as small as a little bean but they're definitely there!" Your doctor pointed to the baby on the screen. They were tiny, hardly visible, but your baby was there.
The doctor then took a few moments to look for herself before a loud thudding sound filled your ears. "Is that?" Cordelia asked, and you were grateful that you weren't the only one hearing that strange noise.
"That's their heartbeat!" The doctor confirmed, smiling.
"Is everything okay?" You asked, because the doctor had began to clean up the gel. "Everything's perfect! The baby looks nice and healthy as far as we can see."
With that being said, a big weight felt like it was lifted off your shoulders. With Lily, everything was fine, but this is a completely different baby. And considering that you both made this baby -and Lily- with magic so the DNA would be from just the both of you, you still always had worries, and you were certain that Cordelia did too.
You scheduled the next appointment for four weeks ahead, as instructed. Once you got in the car, that's when the excitement was released.
Mostly with tears, but happy tears at least.
"I just can't wait to met our baby. Our second baby! Can you believe this?" Cordelia said, taking a breath as she looked out the windshield.
"I can't. I can't believe it. It still doesn't seem real. Married to the most amazing woman, with the most amazing daughter, and another beautiful child on the way. It's not real, it can't be."
"It is though" Cordelia turned to you, grinning from ear to ear. "Because my amazing wife made it possible."
She leaned in, kissed you lips, and that's when the idea of ice cream popped back into your head. You hummed and then said against her mouth, "Couldn't do it without you though. But how about we make ice cream in my stomach possible too?"
She laughed, and rolled her eyes because only you would be the one to ruin the moment. Although, this moment in time, it felt like nothing could possibly be ruined.
"Let's get you and baby that ice cream!"
-
Twelve weeks hit and you were as sick as a dog. You couldn't remember if this was how you felt with Lily, everything was almost a blur when you had your head in the toilet.
But Cordelia was always there to hold back your hair, and whisper sweet nothings in your ear.
This time, it struck when you were laying in bed with Cordelia and Lily.
It was late in the evening, but just before Lily's bedtime.
The entire day, you had been feeling better. But as Lily's giggles got louder, your head began to spin and you could feel the acid coming up to your throat.
Cordelia asked if you were okay, although she knew from the past few weeks what exactly was happen. Though that didn't cure her worries for you.
She felt bad for you.
You put you hand over you mouth to prevent yourself from getting sick all over the nice wooden floors, but once you made it to the toilet, you threw up everything and nothing.
You don't know how long you were sitting there for, but after a minute, Cordelia was rubbing your back. Luckily, you hair was already pulled back into a ponytail.
"It's okay" Cordelia cooed into your ear, as quietly as she could to where you could still hear her over your gagging.
She tried to comfort you the best she could, but no words of love could cure the gut wrenching pain in your stomach.
She kissed your back, and you neck, and cleaned up your mouth once you had finished.
You began to sob into your knees. It was all too hard on you.
You wanted this. You wanted to be pregnant and go through every stage. You wanted to grow your little family and meet your new baby. But it was incredibly hard.
Then when Lily started to cry, it only caused you to sob even more. "I can't- I can't calm her right now. Cordelia please" you begged, as if you were pleading for your life "I'm so awful, I can't even deal with anything right now. I'm a t-terrible mother."
"Hey" Cordelia said, sternly. "Don't talk about yourself like that. You are an amazing mother. Sometimes i'm even jealous. You're going through a pregnancy, a hard one at that. But that's why i'm here, honey."
You sniffled into your knees, wanting to reach out and have her hold you, to praise you, and make you feel better, but you physically couldn't.
"I'll go calm her. Okay, my love? I think she's just tired, so i'll put her to bed and be right back."
It had been some time before she had quieted down. Only a few minutes, that felt like eternity.
Then she was back, with warm arms, and soft kisses. Gentle words of affectionate, and slow movements.
"You're so amazing" Cordelia whispered into the shell of your ear. You're entire body trembled as goosebumps arose. "And i'm so proud of you for everything. So let's get you settled in bed, you need the rest after that."
And after Cordelia had changed you into pajamas and brushed your teeth, you laid between her legs. Your head rested on her chest, you listened to her heartbeat as a lullaby.
"I love you" was all you said before your eyes started to droop. You held them open just so you could hear those three words before you rested.
"I love you too, darling. Now get some rest, beautiful."
-
Four weeks later and you were already at four months.
It was late at night when you were laying in bed with Cordelia. Neither of you could seem to sleep.
Your body was aching, and Cordelia couldn't get rest until she knew you felt okay.
"It's going to be a girl" Cordelia said, abruptly. You were laying in her arms as the older woman was stroking your back. Her fingertips ghosting against your bare skin had made goosebumps arise.
"How would you know that?" You looked up and grinned at her. She was right about Lily, but that was surely luck. She had a fifty-fifty chance to be correct.
"Because i'm the supreme, silly. I know everything. And I can feel her. She's going to be the most girliest girl ever."
"Yeah? And what if it's a boy and he's the most boyest boy ever? Or if she's the biggest tomboy there is? Now wouldn't that be funny that the supreme doesn't know it all" you teased, all jokes, and Cordelia knew that.
"Well I would love them either way. But I know for a fact that's she's going to be a girly girl."
"Well then, I guess we'll just have to wait and see."
-
You woke up early the next morning, and luckily, no morning sickness.
The sickness had been slowing down as the pregnancy progressed, but it still wasn't finished with it's torture.
Though, this morning you undressed to put your clothes on, and that's when you noticed it.
Only four months in had you see the bump on your stomach. It was nothing crazy, but it was definitely there. Finally, the sickness, dizziness, and mood swings, had felt like it had been worth something.
Cordelia was still sleeping, but you heard some groans and moans coming from the messy bed.
"What are doing up? I want morning cuddles." The blonde complained, and pouted at you.
"Baby, come here right now!" You said excitedly, too excitedly for nine in the morning.
She quickly got up and made her way over to you. Rubbing her tired eyes, she then wrapped her arms around your waist. "What's going on- Oh" she felt it. So it wasn't just your eyes messing with you. It was there.
Cordelia turned your body to face her, and got on her knees. "There baby is! They're already popping!"
The older woman leaned in and kissed your stomach that was starting to protrude. It brought you to tears. Or perhaps that was an understatement. It brought you to full on balling your eyes out.
"Oh my love, come here" she wrapped her arms around your waist, the feeling of your baby between you both only causing stronger water works.
The only thing missing was,...and as you thought of it, the baby monitor started to play the sound giggles. Lily!
"I'll get her!" You said, and then decided, "No we'll both get her! I want her to see this."
Cordelia laughed at you, and how it was possible from someone to cry a river and then recover like nothing had happened. However, she took your hand and brought you to Lily's room.
The sun peaked through the curtain and reflected onto soft baby skin. With a pacifier in her mouth, a stuffed bunny between her arms, it made you even more thrilled to soon see your little girl have a little friend in the house.
Because around here, she really didn't have friends besides all of her aunties.
"There's my sweet girl!" You said, in an utterly soft voice. You picked her up and spun her halfway around to erupt another giggle or two from her. Simply for her own enjoyment.
"Good morning angel!" Cordelia kissed her chubby cheek, and when Lily reached out for her face, the older woman kissed her palm with a dramatic 'mwah' sound.
"Lily bug" Cordelia addressed, and you noticed that Lily was much more aware of everything. As the four months had passed, Lily was already a year and one month. "Look at the little baby in mama's belly."
With Cordelia's hand over your stomach, the toddler knew exactly where to look. She smiled with her teeth showing, as in the only two bottom she had. "Bubba?" She said, trying her best to communicate.
Lily had already said her first word at twelve months, that being 'mommy.' Now she was trying to sound out all sorts of words that she would repeat after someone.
"Yes sweet pea! Good job!" you praised "that's your little sibling in there!"
-
"Okay ladies, we can already see what gender the baby is going to be. Would you like to know now or keep it as a surprise?"
It was later that day and you were at the doctors with cold jelly on your stomach, once again.
You looked up at Cordelia, she was already looking down at you. You were impatient, and really wanted to know. It would also help with decorating the nursery. Though you would only want to know if Cordelia did.
"What do you think?" You asked, and grabbed Cordelia's hand. She felt like home. "I want to know. But only if you want to too."
"I want to know" you turned your head back to your doctor "we would like to know now please."
"Okay well then congratulations Mrs and Mrs Goode, you're having a girl!" Your doctor exclaimed.
You looked over at Cordelia, when you heard her elicit a gasp. She was smiling, and you knew she so wanted to tell you that she was right...again.
"Honey! We're having a little girl" Cordelia said, because she wasn't entirely certain that you even heard what the doctor had said. You had, but from the way you stared at Cordelia with a smile, it had looked like you were frozen in time.
A single tear rolled down your face, and you didn't understand why you were crying. You were happy. Extremely excited. You had secretly been hoping for a girl, however you would've loved the child no matter the gender.
"Oh my god! Another little girl!" You finally said, and pulled your wife into a hug as well. "L-Lily's going to have a sister!"
-
"We could do one of those balloon pop reveal?" Cordelia had suggested.
"No that's basic and messy. We should do a cake. Cut it open and it'll be pink."
"And that's not basic?" Cordelia laughed. She rubbed her hand over the small bump on your stomach, while you laid in her arms. You were tired, or rather, exhausted. This little girl had taken so much energy from you, and she was hardly the size of a peanut.
"Well I mean, I guess it is. But why not have Lily and the girls get something out of it? Im sure baby will love some cake too."
"Are you speaking with your stomach right now?"
You wanted to roll your eyes at the older woman, but they would've fell shut. "Maybe...my stomach's growling at me right now."
"What you craving?" Cordelia asked, and she sat up. You shifted your body so your head was on her lap, but felt cold from the loss of contact.
"I feel like i'm getting so much bigger. I don't really want anything, and I already had dinner."
"Sweetheart, you are growing a whole little human in your stomach. You are eating for two now, and you and baby deserve food. If you're hungry, you need to eat, my love."
Cordelia runs her fingers through your hair that was wet from the shower you shared with her. The relaxing act wasn't helping with your sleepiness.
"I mean...baby and I really do want nachos."
Cordelia's smile grew bigger, and she was already getting up and throwing on her shoes. "Then mom will be right back with nachos!"
She leaned down and kissed your forehead. You would've cried at her gesture, but you were already worn out, so you held the tears in.
When she came back, about a half and hour later, she was almost out of breath from running so quickly to you.
You felt bad.
Making her run out in the middle of the night to deal with your cravings.
"I'm sorry" you said, as soon as she sat beside you with the box of nachos.
"What for?"
"For being annoying. You shouldn't have to do all this for me. I mean, I barely even have a bump yet and you're already being so amazing. I just- I don't know..."
One of your tear drops fell onto your lap, and seeing that only made you cry harder.
"Honey, please don't say that. You're growing and carrying our baby in your stomach. The least I can do is run out to get you nachos."
"Okay..."
She titled your head upward to look her in the eyes. "Okay, as in, you'll stop beating yourself up about everything?"
"Yes. I promise I'll try" you said.
A grin grew across her face, and you beamed back at her. You still felt upset about everything, but Cordelia had looked so sure of what she was saying. It made it hard to not trust her words.
"Good. Now you and baby eat up!"
-
"Who want's to cut it?" Cordelia asked the room full of the main witches. Some wore pink for a girl, and some blue for a boy. You and Cordelia both wore white since you already knew the gender, it wouldn't be fair.
"I'll do it!" Zoe offered. She already had the knife in her hands, you held Cordelia's hand tightly as you watched the knife lower towards the cake.
Lily in your free arm, tried to reach for the cake with a bunch of giggles coming out of her mouth. That's when Zoe stopped.
"Wait, how about Lily helps me? It's her sibling."
You looked over at your daughter, she really only cared about shoving a ton of frosting in her face, but the thought was sweet. "How about that Lily bug? You wanna help Auntie Zoe?" Cordelia asked the one year old in your arms.
She really didn't give a definite answer, but by the way she babbled Zoe's name, you knew she liked that idea.
"Zoe Benson, please be careful with that huge knife near my daughter" you warned, as you passed Lily into her arms. It was teasingly, but you were still serious.
"Of course" she said to you, and then turned to Lily "Auntie Zoe is very careful, isn't that right Lils?" she mostly said it to prove a point to you. And your daughter nodded to the brunette, always taking any of her aunties sides over her mothers.
"Can we just get on with it? I don't have all day," was grumbled from Madison. She decided to wear black because she 'didn't care' about any of this.
You knew that deep down she really did. She just didn't know how to show it. She loved Lily so much so, and you knew she would love this second baby just as much.
"Ready?" Zoe was using her baby voice, mostly directed towards Lily. You almost cringed at Lily's hand on the handle of the knife that the brunette held, but you knew she wouldn't let her get hurt. And when one of Lily's mothers was the supreme, nothing was possibly going to go wrong.
As Zoe -and Lily- cut into the cake, everyone saw the pink. Moments after, everyone cheered. The majority wore pink, because honestly, witches weren't really having sons at this rate.
"A girl!" Mallory said, her and Zoe looked most excited.
"See that Lily? You're gonna have a little sister!" Cordelia chimed in, and the toddler excitedly clapped and blabbered.
At the end of the day, it didn't matter if it was a girl or a boy. You had your full family right here, hugging and congratulating you and Cordelia. Your first born was overly excited even if she didn't know what was going on. And you knew the baby girl was cheering inside your stomach too!
-
Five months in and your stomach was already getting bigger by the day.
You didn't like the feeling of your clothes getting tighter and your back starting to hurt. You knew that it was for a good outcome, and that it would be worth it in the end, but that didn't stop you from breaking down every time your jeans refuse to button.
When you looked at yourself in the mirror, you noticed all the jeans that were piled around your feet.
None of them fit.
Definitely not the way you wanted them to.
You looked bigger than you did yesterday, you thought. You didn't know how you didn't realize this sooner. And you were angry that Cordelia didn't tell you how huge you looked either.
When you felt around wrap around your bare stomach, you wanted to gag. You didn't want Cordelia to see you without clothes anymore; without something to hide yourself.
"Please" you said, sounding aggravated. You didn't mean to be so rude, but your emotions got the best of you. And when you pulled away and threw on an oversized t-shirt, Cordelia could see the disgusted look on your face, yet with tears welling up in your eyes.
If she was being completely honest, she felt a little offended.
"What's wrong?" she sounded a little disgusted with your attitude herself. But she couldn't help but feel bad when you started to sob, for what could've been the millionth time that week.
"What do you mean what's wrong? You couldn't have told me how huge i've gotten?" Your voice was loud, and you worried that you woke Lily up from her nap.
"What do-"
"Save it. God, I don't even want to be around anyone right now."
You threw on leggings and left the room, leaving a bewildered Cordelia behind. She knew it was the goddamn hormones, nothing personal. So she let you calm down and come to her when you were ready.
-
After spending some hours in the greenhouse, you finally decided it was time to come out of your hiding.
You felt awful for getting so aggressive towards Cordelia. You both hardly ever argued. But you couldn't seem to control your emotions today.
So, you spent most of the time in the greenhouse crying above the plants. They needed to be watered anyways.
You knew when Cordelia was mad, she would be in her office to stay out of contact with everyone. It was the only place that was hers, seeing as she shared her bedroom with you.
So that's where you went.
When you knocked on her door, you got an immediate answer. Cordelia was always on top of things.
Your heart was aching for her.
"It's me" you said, while opening her door. Your voice still sounded upset, but the aggressiveness was out of the window by now.
Cordelia just sat there and smiled as you stood in front of her desk.
She wanted to hold you so badly.
But hours before, you got upset that she even wrapped her arms around you.
"Hi baby" Cordelia started to say, but was cut short "I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. I shouldn't have taken my emotions out on you, i'm just- i'm so upset with how I look. I'm huge, and you're so small. When you even touched me, I just- I don't know..." You're voice trailed off with sniffles and tear drops.
Cordelia pouted.
Her arms ached to hold you, and her lips to kiss your tears away.
"Oh honey, no no no. Come here" She tapped her lap for you to sit on. It was your favorite spot whenever Lily wasn't occupying it.
"Please" you scoffed, but the anger was directed towards yourself this time. "I'll crush you."
"Enough with that silly talk. Come sit" she patted her lap again, and your legs finally made a movement towards her. "You don't feel a pound heavier to me."
Once seated, you rested your head back and sighed contently.
There was no reason to feel so ashamed, especially around Cordelia. When you were carrying her baby, your baby. It really wasn't yourself getting heavier, it was the baby growing.
"Now the baby, she feels healthy and bigger" she breathed in your ear, and a shiver ran throughout your spine. "But you...you feel the same to me."
"Delia..." you sighed again. She made you feel an indescribably nice feeling. A unique feeling that only she can stimulate.
"You're so amazing, and beautiful. I don't care if you were three hundred pounds or fifty, you're always going to be my pretty girl."
Her lips that were ghosting over your ear had finally made and effort to move and kiss your neck. You gasped at the contact.
"Delia, Lily is...she's probably hungry for dinner" you said, though you really didn't want her to stop.
In the moment, you did feel pretty.
"Zoe and Madison took her out to get ice cream. She already ate dinner, baby."
"Oh."
"Yeah...Oh." she says.
You could feel her smirk against the back of your ear, and her hand snaking up behind the back of your shirt to trace your spine.
-
At six months, you randomly felt butterfly flutters in your stomach, late one evening.
"Honey! Come quick!"
Cordelia ran into the bedroom from the conjoined bathroom. The corner of her mouth still had toothpaste that she wiped off onto her sleeve. Maybe you should've have scared her like that.
"What's going on? Are you okay?" Cordelia asked frantically, eyeing you up and down to look for any injuries or signs of pain.
Nothing.
You were smiling brightly.
"Our little peanut is kicking, baby. I never felt her kick before" you said, as surprised as if you had just come face to face with a fairy, or a creature of some sort.
You, of course, felt Lily kick when you were pregnant with her, but this was your other daughter kicking, now. It was just as special.
"What?" Cordelia, surprised herself at the such sudden announcement, crawled up beside you on the bed.
"Here, feel" you grabbed Cordelia's wrist and placed her hand over the spot that she was kicking. Cordelia waited a moment, and then the tears started streaming down her face.
"That's our baby" Cordelia said through a teary smile.
"That's our baby."
A few moments of Cordelia feeling her baby through the skin of your stomach, she finally laid down and rested her head against your chest.
"Our babies. I love them. I love you. I- I never thought this is what my life would end up looking like."
"I love you and both my girls too, honey. The best things that have ever happened to me" you say, and kiss the top of your wife's blonde hair to show the true affection in your words.
"I always wanted to be a mother so badly. Back then, I thought my chances of having a baby were gone. I thought my chances of ever being in love again were gone. But now look at me." Cordelia sigh, reflecting back on her 'haunting' past. She then continued, "You know, I just- I never felt anything with Hank or the boyfriends that I had when I was young. I just thought I wasn't made to love, to be loved. But never did I think to marry a woman. A woman like you. I never thought of that I could have my wife have my babies. Our babies. But here I am, and i've never been happier."
"Jeez, Delia, tryna make me cry again?" You said, in light of the slightly sorrow mood. It got a laugh out of Cordelia. It made you realize, this must really be the happiest she's ever been. "I love you so much, baby. I would do anything for you and our girls. Anything to see you smile and make that bad past go away."
"You already have made it go away. You, Lily, and little peanut. Nothing can fully erase it, but there are things, like you girls, that make me forget about those bad memories in my life. When I see you smile, or hear Lily's giggling, and now feeling our second little girl move around in your stomach, it makes the past worth it, knowing that the ending was you three."
-
Seven months came quicker than you could even process. It made you and Cordelia realize that you both had to get going with things.
1. Talking to Lily about the new baby.
2. Decorating the nursery.
3. And buying necessities for the baby (and unnecessary things that your pregnant brain just has to buy).
But Lily was first. She had to be first. This had to be taken care of.
Neither you or Cordelia wanted Lily to think she had been throw to the side once the new baby comes. Especially at such a young age when it could ruin her view on her own family.
Lily was your first born, you love her endlessly. But a newborn was going to need a lot of attention.
Luckily, you had much help with all the girls in the house, but Lily still needed her mothers.
"Hey Lily Bug!" Cordelia said, overly excited just for the toddlers sake.
Lily, playing with blocks that eventually tumbled down as she became more interested in her mother, reached out for Cordelia's embrace.
She grabbed her, and placed her on her lap. That's when you sat beside the pair.
By the way you both sat down, she would've thought she had done something wrong if she were to be any older.
"We're gonna talk you you real quick, baby. Then you can go play with your blocks again. How does that sound?" Lily clapped her hands, dramatically, and started to babbling on to what she thought was 'yes.'
"You know Mama's got a baby in her belly right now. Your little sister that's going to come into the world in just a little while" the toddler smiled as she twirled Cordelia's golden locks through her tiny fingers. She was, for a one year old, a great listener.
She was Cordelia's daughter, of course she was a smart girl.
"We want you to know that even though there's going to be another little girl in the house, Mommy and I love you so very much, and that'll never change" you said.
"That's right. Your little sisters going to need a lot of attention because she's not a big girl like you yet" -even though Lily always felt she needed the most attention she could get- "but we will still be here for you, still play with you, and love you."
"Love...mommies" Lily said, extremely focused on trying to pull out a full sentence.
Cordelia gripped onto your arm, tighter than you did to her when you gave birth to Lily, and a gasp shot out of the both of your mouths.
"She just- oh my god. She just almost said a full sentence" You said, as if Cordelia wasn't already catching on.
"Oh baby, oh my goodness. That's right Lily, Mama and I love you."
That was the moment you knew that there wouldn't be a problem in lacking attention when the new baby arrives.
That moment, you knew that nothing could break the bond you both had with Lily.
-
"Pink."
"No. No. Definitely not."
"What? What do you mean no? Lily's bedroom is pink!" Cordelia said, clearly aggravated that you just wouldn't agree with her.
Although, Lily that sat in the shopping cart, found this very amusing.
"Exactly! Lily already has a pink bedroom so we need a new color. And on top of that, I think every single little girl has a pink bedroom."
Lily watched the tension grow between the two on you, pacifier in her mouth, little blonde pigtails poking out of her head, of course she would think this was funny.
"What do you have in mind then?" Cordelia
"Purple."
Cordelia really liked that idea. And she really hated arguing with her wife. Her pregnant wife in a supply store, to be precise. But she also strongly disliked losing.
"Fine. Purple it is. But, a light purple. Like a lavender. I don't want her having a dark room."
"Perfect, then it's settled." You turned to the little blonde in the cart and said, "Look at that bug, a score for mama, nothing for mommy."
You could feel Cordelia roll her eyes, but she really meant no anger towards you. She liked the idea of lavender.
Hours and a few thousand dollars later, you were leaving with the purple paint, and everything a baby could need for a nursery.
You and Cordelia possibly went overboard, but that's how you both were. How you both were with Lily too.
When you got home, Cordelia insisted that you relax with Lily while she brought up the bags.
But you didn't sit down without complaining first. You hated having Cordelia do all the work, but your back had already started killing from walking around the store all that time.
So, you grabbed your daughter and settled on watching a Disney movie with her.
-
Once the ending credits popped up on the screen, Lily still hadn't fallen asleep, and Cordelia had yet to come downstairs.
You figured she was working her ass off, and cursing at things that weren't cooperating. So, you decided to check on her.
"Hey, bugger, what do you say we go bother mommy?" Lily, who had her head rested against your bump, and a sippy cup in her mouth, began to laugh and say a bunch of yeah's.
You could smell the paint from all the way down the hall, and you knew Lily could too by the way her face grimaced.
It only intensified as you got closer.
"Jeez, honey, someone's been working hard I see" you said. Out of the four walls, two and a half were already painted purple. You were sure that Cordelia didn't even use her powers to speed it up either.
The top of the walls had flowered paper along it, after you and Cordelia settled on a floral themed room.
Cordelia turned around and had paint all over her face and clothes.
She wore an old distressed t-shirt and wide leg pants. Seeing her in this state made you want to have one of the girls babysit Lily while you-
"Yeah, only pulled out my arm and back a few times. Not to mention the headache I have from inhaling this chemical smell." There was no annoyance in her voice, it it was known by the way she smiled at you.
"Delia, I feel bad. You should've let me help."
"Oh shush, you. You're pregnant. I'm fine, honey" she turned to Lily and took her from your hold "and how's my other girl?" Cordelia asked before kissing her soft cheek.
"It looks really good, Delia. I didn't know you were such a painter" she placed a kiss against your lips, and hummed into your mouth. "But please, take a break for today. We have a little over two months to get this done, love."
"I think I will" all it took to convince was the smile of her to favorite girls.
-
Once eight months struck, it was getting harder to function like a normal human being. Putting on shoes was nearly impossible. Walking up stairs had you gasping for air. And it also wasn't very pleasant that you had to excuse yourself multiple times during dinner every night because the little munkin in your stomach just loved to push on your bladder.
You couldn't even shower by yourself -not that you minded. Cordelia was too afraid that you would slip and fall. You couldn't blame her though, it was a valid concern.
Cordelia was very apprehensive about letting you do almost anything yourself.
"Babe, my arms aren't broken. I think i'm able to wash my hair" you teased. You did love when Cordelia washed your hair though. You loved getting swept away into the heavenly feeling of her slim fingers scratching through your scalp, as the lavender scent of the shampoo consumed you.
"Sorry" she whined, and dropped her arms to the side. The slap against her bare skin echoed through the obnoxiously big shower.
"Well I didn't say to stop."
You felt her laugh just against the sensitive skin on your neck. Her hands began to work their magic on your soapy hair again.
"I just- I don't want you to think that I don't think you're incapable of doing things. You're very strong, and very capable. I'm just afraid...I don't want anything to happen to our baby girl. Not that I think you would do anything to put her in danger I just-"
"Hey" you cut her babbling off and turned to face her. Her arms fell to her side once again, and her head was looking down at her feet. "I know, I know, baby. I know. I appreciate you and all you do for me very much. I think- I actually really like how much you hover because I can't get enough of you anyways."
"I'm not annoying you though, right? You would tell me."
You placed a finger beneath her chin and titled her head up, saying, "No. Not now, not ever."
"Okay good. It just scares me so much because- because I don't want to lose you, or the baby, or  Lily. I've lost too much in my life. But i'm scared that one day you might wake up, and just be so irritated with me because everywhere you look is just Cordelia, Cordelia, Cordelia."
"I only want to look at Cordelia though. I only ever want to look at Cordelia and our little girls that we made. And I love your, what you call, annoyance, because it's shows me that you really care about me."
She pulled you into a hug. It was somewhat awkward with the big bump between you both, but you made it work. "I do really care about you" she said, against your ear. Breathy, and quiet because it was only meant for you to hear.
Over a few moments, the water starts to get colder the longer you stand underneath it like that. "Okay I think we should get out before Madison starts fussing that all the hot waters gone."
Stepping out of the shower was a challenge. You could hardly lift you legs to the height that the side of the shower was. But that's why you had Cordelia with you. "Take it easy, honey" she reminded, and grabbed your hand to steady you. It didn't help that the floor was slick from the water.
When you got out, Cordelia wrapped one of the white cotton towels around your freezing body. It hardly covered you due to your protruding stomach.
"Here love, you sit down so I can brush your hair and then i'll rub some cocoa butter onto your belly."
She sat you on the bed, being as careful as if she were dealing with a baby. When she sat behind you, she started to brush through you hair, so delicately. Nobody had ever treated you so gently before, her tenderness had almost brought you to tears. But you told yourself you wouldn't. Not again. Don't cry again.
"You're such an angel." The brush running through your scalp had almost lulled you to sleep, but it was over before your eyes fully shut.
"Lay down, beautiful" she pulled out the cocoa butter that was in the bed side drawer. It helped with reducing the stretch marks, and it worked great with your first pregnancy.
Cordelia thought you were beautiful with or without stretch marks, and she let you know that. But, you insisted on the cocoa butter because you knew that your mind would fuck with you.
The butter was cold as she applied it to your stomach, but that was because your room was always freezing. You soon got used to the feeling, and just relaxed into the sensation.
"Thats feels really nice, Delia."
"I can tell by the way you're falling asleep" she said, and put the jar on the bedside table because she was unfortunately finished.
"Leave me alone! I had a long day of watching movies."
Cordelia laughed at you, and rolled her eyes, though you couldn't see it because yours were already closed. "We still have to get into our pajamas, my love."
"No no no. Not tonight please. I just want us to fall asleep like this. If you don't mind" you said, or asked, rather.
"I would love nothing more."
She flicked the light off with a flick of her wrists, and got under the covers with you. She put her a leg between yours and tangled them together. Her hand rested against your stomach, where yours rested atop of her hand.
"What about Luna?" You asked, your voice echoing through the quiet of the room.
"Hm?"
"For a baby name; Luna. Lily and Luna" you clarified.
"Going with an L theme, I see" she breathed in deeply "it's beautiful. Our little Luna. That's perfect."
Her other hand brushed over your damp hair, twisting and twirling some strands. "I love our little L girls" she added further.
"And I love our little L girls too. I love my C girl just as much."
-
"Honey" arms snaked around your waist, and you almost dropped the potted plant in your hand.
"Jesus Delia!" you panted, hand on your heart. "You cannot scare me like that" though there was no nuisance in your voice.
"Sorry baby. I just wanted to tell you that the nursery looks so beautiful."
You placed your hand over your bump. It was growing bigger day by day. "Oh is it?" she agreeingly hummed to you. "Well that's not very nice to tease. Telling me that but not showing me."
"Well..." She snuck around to the front of you, her arms still securely around your waist. "What if I told you that it was finished."
"Delia, your kidding" you said "there's no way you already finished all that within a month."
"Well I might've used a little bit of my magic, but it was mostly done by my hands themselves."
"Well come on then! I have to go see it." You were excessively excited to see what it looked like. Ever since she finished painting the walls, she wouldn't let you near the room. It was a surprise, she would tell you.
With Cordelia's hand over your eyes in the doorway of the nursery, you tried to conceal a grin. "Okay...3...2...1."
Her hands left your face and it took a moment for your eyes to adjust to the lavender walls.
It was better than you could've expected. The white crib and dresser, floral themes, she had even managed to make baby toys fit the aesthetic of the room.
"Oh my god."
It was really happening. You were standing in your baby's room, and she would be occupying that crib in only a month.
"It's so..." you trailed off because the lump in your throat took ahold of you. You even thought you would choke on your own tears.
"Oh baby, it's okay" she wrapped you up in a hug for what could've been the millionth time that week. "It's absolutely beautiful and- and everything just feels so real. Luna's going to be in here so soon, baby."
"She is. She's going to love it too. She's going to love us, and Lily, and the girls. It's just going to be amazing."
-
Once you hit nine months, the gut wrenching fear of pushing this baby out was starting to hit hard.
You've been terrified of childbirth your whole life. Scared of any type of surgery, or even doctors for that matter. It didn't matter that you've done this before; you had to do it all again and, hell, you were afraid.
Of course, you and Cordelia already had a plan for when it's time.
There was a filled hospital bag right by the front door. The car already had Luna's car seat set up in the back. The girls would watch Lily, and once the baby was in the world, they would all come to the hospital to meet her.
Surprisingly, you were the one that was starting to get nervous. Although you were the one with the baby inside of you, it was shocking considering Cordelia's skyrocketing anxiety when it came to you.
"You don't seem so nervous, i'm shocked." Cordelia said, mouth dry from sitting in complete silence for an hour.
"I'm terrified." Cordelia raised a hand to run her fingers through your hair. "I'm really, really scared, Delia" you reiterated, and your voice, within a moment, became shaky and high pitched due to the tears beginning to well in your eyes.
You didn't understand where this was coming from. The flying emotions, or the fact that if you lost this baby, you would 'ruin' everything. Or if you were to be lost as well, Cordelia and Lily would severely suffer.
"Baby, I know it's scary, but you've done it before and I believe you can again" The older woman assured.
"But how am I- I have to push a whole human out of me. Delia, how is that even possible?"
"Your body is made to do this, my love. You pushed Lily out, and it's getting ready for you to push Luna out too. I know it seems crazy, but you and your body can do it."
"It's just that when I had Lily, everything was a blur, so it's like the first time all over again."
She pulled you closer towards her, the sheets falling off to reveal your almost naked body. She pulled them back up before the shiver could fully hit you. "I know. But i'll be beside you the entire time, holding you hand. And, hell, i'm the supreme so you don't have to worry, I won't let anything happen to you or Luna."
-
You were in the greenhouse when it happened. On a simple Saturday afternoon, you were watering the plants. Cordelia insisted that you stayed it bed, however, you still snuck out because you just needed to breathe.
It might've not been the best idea, and you realized that when you felt a liquid run down your legs. You knew the feeling all too well from having Lily.
"Fuck" you cursed, because you could knew you could hardly walk back into the academy, and no one would hear if you were to yell from here.
You grabbed your phone and called Cordelia. She would always pick up, anxious that one of the girls, or you, would need her.
"pick up, pick up" you repeated under your breath.
When you finally heard Cordelia's breathing on the other line, you felt relieved. But not completely.
"Delia...don't panic but... my water just broke" you said, and grimaced in pain as a sudden contraction hit.
"Oh, baby! Oh my god, Are you in pain?" you heard a door open through the phone, and you cringed knowing the hell there would be that you weren't in bed. "Y/n! Where are you?" She was stern, and you could tell that she was trying to calm herself down.
"Greenhouse. Sorry."
You heard her sign and then the next second, she transmuted beside you. You would've been startled if it weren't for the unbearable pain making the fear seem like nothing.
"Okay let's get you into some fresh clothes, then we'll head to the hospital."
"Fuck that, Delia. I can't walk up all those stairs."
A grin was directed towards you and Cordelia said, "good thing I can transmute us, darling. Just hold on for me, you'll be okay."
Once Cordelia had helped you into loose clothing, you tightly grabbed onto your wife's arm, and leaned over due to the pain. "It hurts, Delia. I don't remember it being this bad!"
You could already see the bruising on Cordelia's arm from your tight grip. You felt awful, but you knew her hand would be killing even worse from you, once this baby was born.
"I know, I know. Every pregnancy's different, honey. Just try and relax okay?" You took a deep breath, and she guided you out the bedroom door.
In the hallway, you came across Zoe holding Lily. "Let's go see your mommies, it's almost time for dinn- oh hi!" The brunette said, and her face scrunched in worry when she saw you. "Jesus, are you okay? You look-"
"My just water broke!"
You were sure the sight Zoe was seeing had to be concerning. You were holding on to Cordelia for dear life, sweat was beginning to wet your face, and a fresh coat of tears were dripping down your chin.
"Mama!" Lily said excitedly, reaching her arms out with grabby hands. You couldn't even hold your own daughter at the moment, and you felt terrible about it.
"Mama and I have to go to the hospital, bug. We're gonna go get baby sister out of mama," was Cordelia's response. She kissed the top of her head, and while that was happening, you attempted to not scream out in pain. "You're going to stay here with your aunties and then you can come meet your sister!"
"Sister?" Lily had been getting much better at talking, but would only repeat words that she had recently heard. That's why, having Madison around, who curses like a truck driver, was risky, but she had honestly been doing well at keeping herself pg.
"Yeah, your little sister! We gotta go okay, sweet pea? I love you" Once last kiss on the cheek and Cordelia grabbed your hand again.
"Bye, Lily bug. Love you!"
"Bye guys, good luck. Text me with updates" Zoe said, and Cordelia put up a thumbs up. "Will do. Goodbye!"
"Bye mo...mommies!" You and Cordelia bursted out in giggles from down the hall, and you knew that if it was only a week ago, you would've start sobbing at that.
Cordelia grabbed the hospital bag from beside the door, and helped you into the car. The drive to the hospital felt like hours, but was really only a couple of minutes.
Once you finally got into that hospital bed, you and Cordelia, both, felt instant relief.
Though, not completely.
"Cordelia i'm so scared" you whined, head against the pillow, and hand against your bump.
Cordelia ran her hand over the top of your head, brushing away any stray pieces of your hair. "Honey, remember what I told you?"
"When you told me that pregnancy is beautiful but fucking terrifying, or that nothing will happen to me because my wife and my baby's mother is the supreme?"
The older woman bent over laughing, and you smiled brightly at her. For a moment, you forgot about the pain.
"Second option, honey" Cordelia said, and then continued, "but seriously, you're going to be okay. You don't have to worry about a thing."
After that, Cordelia was there for all the hours that had passed, wiping and kissing your sweaty forehead, whispering sweet nothings in your ear to make you feel more at ease. The nurses were in and out for checkups, yet Luna was never fully ready to be brought into the world. It was always too early.
Until it was finally time, and Cordelia was beside you like she promised. You squeezed her hand tight, and got ready to meet your second little girl.
-
"Isn't she so beautiful?" You said, in awe. Luna Goode, just born and all, rested against your chest and smiled up at her mommies. She had big brown eyes that matched Cordelia's, and she was the smallest little peanut.
After passing all of the tests, the doctors discovered that she was completely healthy. You couldn't be more grateful.
"She's absolutely precious."
You watched a tear fall down Cordelia's face, and it only caused you to start crying. "She's ours, Delia. We're a family of four now...with the addition of all the girls."
Cordelia let out a chuckle, and brushed her thumb against the soft flesh on Luna's cheek. "Wanna hold her?"
Cordelia nodded furiously. It brought back memories of having Lily. When Cordelia was terrified to hold her. You were too, but you helped each other through it.
Now you were both 'pros.'
You carefully slipped her into Cordelia's arms where your wife then sat on the edge of the bed. Everything around you became a blur. The doctors and nurses weren't in sight, you weren't in the hospital, it was just Cordelia holding the baby that you just brought into the world.
"Hi, angel" Cordelia said, smiling down at the newborn. "Welcome to the world, beautiful girl."
You started to silently cry, though still beaming. You mentally took a picture of this in your head, and would take it everywhere with you. This was your little family. But the only thing missing was-
"Mommies!" Lily ran into the room, over to her family. You've been so caught up in this view, that you haven't even realized the girls walking in with Lily.
You both happily said your hi's to Lily and the girls. Zoe, Mallory, and Misty, of course, gushing over how adorable Luna was, and Lily sitting beside her mothers on the hospital bed.
"Look honey, say hi to your little sister!" You said, and lifted Lily up the best you could. Your body still hurt, however, Lily wasn't all that heavy.
"Here Lily, you wanna hold her?"
She nodded, aggressively as Cordelia did when asked the question.
"You have to be really, really gentle, okay?" Cordelia held the newborn tightly as she put her into Lily's arms, guiding her to hold under Luna's head as well.
Lily held her for a few moments, until Luna bursted out into sobs. She became nervous and handed her back off into Cordelia's arms. "I think she might be hungry."
Luna was, now, handed off into your arms and Lily into Cordelia's.
When Luna was fed, each of the girls, as in Zoe, Mallory, Coco, Queenie, Misty, and Madison, got to hold her.
This was your family. This was all that mattered.
While the girls were holding Luna, and Lily was finally hanging around them as well, Cordelia snuck into the bed beside you.
She wrapped her arms around you, and from all the stress and energy lost, you just melted into her. Cordelia kissed the top of your head and said, "I'm so happy, and so proud of you."
-
The following day you were finally allowed to be discharged from the hospital. There was no need to stay anymore; you and Luna were completely healthy.
Although, you still could hardly walk.
The midwife had helped you walked around the room here and there since having the baby, but it was still difficult to get around on your own.
Cordelia got you a wheel chair, which must've been the first time she had actually left the room since you came here. You sat down in it with the help of your wife, and Cordelia placed the sleeping baby in your arms.
Surprisingly, Luna had been perfectly fine in the the car ride home. She didn't erupt a single cry.
"I'm not looking forward to walking up all those stairs. Jesus, Delia, who thought all those stairs would be a good idea?" Cordelia laughed at you, as she held around your waist to steady you.
She didn't want to transmute up the stairs, because she refused to use magic with the babies (besides actually making the baby.)
Though she held you tight, and let you take your time. You held onto sleeping Luna, and placed her into her crib once you had finally make it upstairs.
A rush of deja vu hit you. From when you stood in the doorway of the nursery, only months pregnant, and waiting for this baby to occupy it.
Now she did.
And the emotions that you felt was more overpowering than you thought it would be.
You had the perfect wife and adorable little baby. This was the life, and you wouldn't trade it for anything.
"How about we go rest, hm? You've had a hectic two days...or rather nine months." Cordelia asked, her arms snaking around your waist. You nuzzled your face into her neck and giggled. "That sound really nice."
And the best part was, you would get to wake up to Cordelia. Get to wake up again and be a mother to your girls. To start this new chapter of your life.

New Year’s Eve
On New Year’s Eve, Harry followed behind Lily into Sarah’s house. There were already quite a few people packed into it; luckily, most being within Lily’s closest friend group or others that Harry had met briefly before. Until he got warmed up, he let Lily greet her friends and that was easy enough once Sarah spotted them and let out a squeal, clearly already having had a few drinks in her.
“Lily! There you are!” she reached out with grabby hands for a hug, “Sooo glad you guys could make it!”
Lily kept her fingers interlaced with Harry’s as she stepped into the house, glancing around to see who she recognized. Of course, Sarah spotted them and Lily just laughed as she hugged her back. “Had to see what all the hub-bub was about,” she teased her. “Plus, you always throw great parties.”
Sarah couldn’t leave Harry hanging and eagerly gave him a hug as well. “Come in, come in. You can drop your coats off in my room and then there’s tons of snacks and drinks in the kitchen. Jenny made the most insane charcuterie board.”
Harry waited while Lily and Sarah talked, and then returned her hug with a smile once it was his turn. “Thanks so much for having us. I know I’m ready for some snacks,” he laughed a little. She went off eventually to talk to someone else and Harry followed Lily’s lead back to Sarah’s bedroom to store their coats, slipping his off on the way.
Lily guided Harry through to the bedroom, adding their coats to the pile that had already started on her bed. Then she turned to Harry. “Alright, shall we go get you your snacks, then?” she grinned at him, once again holding out her hand to him. “You look very handsome. I know I said it earlier, but…” She shrugged her shoulders. “Doesn’t hurt to tell you again.”
Harry joined Lily while she laid their coats on the bed and then smiled at her. He laced their fingers slowly and gently pulled her closer to him. “Thank you, my love. And you are gorgeous as always,” he grinned, leaning in for a kiss, even if it was only a quick one.
Lily grinned as she stepped towards him and tilted her chin up to return the kiss. “Thank you.” She stole one more kiss and then pulled away to head back out to the party, weaving her way through a couple of groups to get to the kitchen. “Oh wow. Sarah wasn’t kidding,” she laughed lightly once she saw the spread of snacks covering the counter.
Harry walked with Lily to the kitchen and his eyes got a bit wide seeing all the snacks. “Good thing we didn’t have dinner yet,” he laughed softly. There were plates nearby and they put one together with a few snacks, “Want a drink, darling?”
Lily grabbed a plate; having a hard time choosing what to eat when it all looked so good. But they could make multiple visits if needed. “Umm yes. I’ll just have soda for now if there’s any.”
“Sounds good, lovey. I got you one.” Harry grabbed a soda for each of them while Lily made up a plate before they were going out to where there were a few more people. Harry was more so watching while more people arrived and while Lily and Jenny talked, couldn’t have been mistaken when James finally walked through the door.
Lily found a place to set down her drink so she could eat while she talked with Jenny. Her food was gone in no time, so she set that down as well, reminding herself to pick it up and throw it away in a bit. She caught sight of James over Jenny’s shoulder and her stomach lurched for just a second. Hopefully her face didn’t give away anything to Jenny, but she subconsciously reached for Harry, sliding her hand around his waist to rest on the small of his back.
Harry tried his best to ignore James altogether, and that didn’t apply to just this situation. As far as their last meeting went, the issue was as resolved as it could be, and Harry didn’t care to think about him or the situation any more than he had to. He felt Lily’s touch and immediately rested his hand against her shoulder, nudging her closer into him as she talked to Jenny; them being close wasn’t something Jenny wasn’t used to, anyways.
Lily leaned closer until her hip was pressed to Harry’s, her thumb absently rubbing back and forth along his back. James disappeared into another room and Lily relaxed back into the conversation. They’d surely come into contact with him at some point that night, but it was avoided for now.
They were clearly experts in being able to read and comfort each other without even having to say anything. Jenny stuck with them for a while, asking Lily and Harry about wedding planning which was a great way to distract themselves from James.
Lily would never tire of talking about their upcoming wedding and it brought a smile to her face. “I sent you a picture of the dress, right?” she checked.
Jenny nodded fervently. “Not going to spoil anything for Harry, but Lil’s…you look like an absolute goddess.” That just made Lily’s cheeks burn and she was quick to wave off her friend.
Harry smiled at Jenny’s support and nodded. As excited as he was to see the dress, he didn’t have to in order to know Lily would look absolutely stunning. “I don’t have any doubts about that. She’s going to look gorgeous. Cannot wait to see her in her dress,” he smiled, squeezing her shoulder.
“Are you going to do a first look before the ceremony or just have the first time you see each other be when you walk down the aisle?” Jenny wondered.
Lily made a small face as she looked to Harry. “I don’t know…we haven’t talked about that,” she admitted. She honestly hadn’t even thought of it until now. “Don’t know if you could pull us away from each other if we did before the ceremony.”
Harry looked down at Lily, smiling as she answered. “That’s a good point, babe,” he let out a small chuckle and mindlessly brushed her hair behind her shoulder, “We could make it work if you wanted to, though.”
“Whenever I see first look pictures online, they’re just the cutest thing ever, but… I’m sure your reactions to seeing each other will be the best either way,” Jenny smiled, “I cannot wait for your big day.”
“We’ll think it over and talk about it,” Lily decided. They still had some time for little things like that. “Thank you. We’re excited, too, and I’m glad I get to have you there with me,” Lily smiled at Jenny.
  “Not long now,” Jenny grinned.
Harry waited until they each needed another drink to excuse himself from the conversation, taking the empty plate as well to throw it away. He made his way to the kitchen, too late and suspicious-looking to turn back around when he saw James in there too talking to someone, so Harry decided it would be best if he minded his own business while grabbing their refills.
“Thank you!” Lily called out to Harry when she realized he’d grabbed her empty plate. She then turned her attention back to Jenny as the topic switched to something else.
James had obviously been trying to avoid Lily and Harry after he noticed them in the living room, but it would be practically impossible to avoid them all night. So of course, he ran into Harry at some point, though he wasn’t happy about running into him alone. His frustration grew even more when the person he was talking to excused themselves, leaving him alone with Harry. He cleared his throat uncomfortably as he picked a cracker off of a nearby plate. “Happy New Year,” he managed. “Big year for you, yeah?”
The last thing Harry wanted that night was to have to talk to James, and it just so ended up being only the two of them in the kitchen. Lucky Harry. Usually, he was one for small talk and didn’t have any problem starting up conversation, but he wasn’t interested at all in either when it came to him. “We are both very excited, yeah,” he had a somewhat pointed expression when he looked up from pouring their drinks, not completely on purpose though; the disdain for James occurred naturally, “I believe she’s in the living room if you ever feel like you’d want to congratulate her.”
James glanced towards the living room. “Yeah, I’ll have to find her,” he nodded. He picked up a handful more snacks before nodding at Harry. “Enjoy your night.” And with that, he was off, disappearing to find someone else whose girlfriend (now fiancée) he hadn’t tried to make out with.
Lily glanced back at the kitchen for Harry, not expecting him to have taken so long.
Jenny noticed her lingering gaze and gave her a nudge. “Go find him. I’m gonna see if I can find Nick around here,” she smiled encouragingly.
Lily nodded and headed to the kitchen, furrowing her brows when she found Harry still by the drinks. “Are you trying to spike my drink?” she teased.
Harry didn’t say anything further, not fully believing that James had real intentions to seek out Lily. His words weren’t promising, and the fact that he hurried away from the conversation didn’t make him appear too comfortable to be talking to Harry or even Lily. Harry looked over when he heard Lily, having just picked up their drinks. “Secrets out,” he joked back and handed one of the drinks over to Lily. “No, I actually ran into James in here, so… that was really fun. Sorry you had to miss it,” he teased again.
Lily took the drink and was about to make a witty remark when she heard him mention James. “Seriously? Did he say anything to you?” she looked to Harry with concern, knowing that he did not like James one bit and never would. Understandably so.
Harry sipped his drink and gave a little shrug as a response. “Not really. He said one thing about how the wedding is coming up,” he spoke, “Then I suggested maybe he should congratulate you, but he awkwardly wandered away right before you came in.” Harry still didn’t know what to think of it all sometimes. He very much disliked James but would remain civil for Lily’s sake.
Lily pressed her lips together and absently tapped her finger against the side of her cup as she looked down at it. “I sent him a save the date, but he already told me he can’t come.” Lily wasn’t sure if he actually had something else or if he was doing it to keep their day from being awkward. Either way, if she was being honest with herself, she appreciated it because she knew it would affect Harry.
Harry nodded. “Yeah, I couldn’t remember if he already reached out or not.” They would’ve made it work if he came to the wedding, but Harry could admit it’d be a lot easier and much more comfortable with him not there. “Sorry, darling. I don’t intend to make things weird,” he smiled softly, stealing a cookie for each of them.
Lily frowned and shook her head a little. “No, you don’t. He…” she trailed off and just let out a sigh, glancing back towards the living room. It was sad to think their friend group wouldn’t be the same and for a reason such as that. It wasn’t fair to her or Harry. Or any of the others for that matter. It’d almost be easier if he didn’t regret it because then Lily could be mad and ice him out. But he did regret it and he’d made his apologies.
Harry looked down at Lily. He hated how James and this whole situation made her feel, and unfortunately, he was someone they had to keep running into. He wrapped his arm around her shoulder to pull her in close and kissed her forehead. “You know what?” he murmured and held a cookie up to her mouth, “Cookies always make me feel better.”
Lily looked at the cookie and laughed softly before leaning down to take a bite; crumbs totally falling down, but she didn’t care. “Fanks,” she mumbled around her mouthful.
Harry laughed softly as he watched Lily, holding the cookie in place until she took a bite. Then he was raising it to take a bite himself. “Are you gonna give me a kiss at midnight?” He questioned with a cheeky grin.
Lily pretended to purse her lips in thought as she leaned her head back to look at him. “But Sarah promised to give me a big smackaroo at midnight,” she joked horribly.
Harry’s face got the most surprised, and offended, look after hearing Lily. “Babe…you’re gonna leave me for Sarah?” he asked with a dramatic pout, “And on New Year’s. I can’t believe it.”
Lily dropped her head back against his arm with a laugh. “Out with the old, in with the new,” she shrugged with a giggle. All bad feelings from James had clearly disappeared.
“Lily!” he laughed looking down at her. “You’re not supposed to be so happy about leaving me,” he grinned and leaned in to leave quick kisses along her temple, moving his arm down to wrap around her waist instead.
Lily laughed some more before she was wrapping her arms around his waist in return. “You know I’d be devastated without you, love,” she assured him before kissing the corner of his lips.
“I don’t know…” he teased with a soft grin, his hand resting along her side. No one was with them in the kitchen so as much as Harry enjoyed Lily’s kiss near his mouth, he couldn’t resist giving her another fully on her lips.
Lily gave a small grumble into the kiss. “Babyyyyy,” she mumbled pitifully, subconsciously leaning her weight into him.
Harry smiled into the kiss at her short groan, his hands going to her hips then. “Hm?” he couldn’t help his grin, giving her another kiss.
“You know I would be devastated, yeah?” Lily managed to get out after the kiss. She tilted her head back enough that she could see his eyes.
Harry pulled away to look down at Lily. “I do. I would be too,” he gave a small nod and traced his thumbs along her sides. “Are you trying to make me sad?” he grinned.
“No. No more being sad,” Lily scolded. “We’re about to celebrate the new year, aka the year when we get married. There is zero reason to be sad.”
“No one is being sad,” Harry confirmed. He reached up to brush a couple strands of Lily’s hair behind her ear. “Do you want to go see your friends some more?”
“We should probably go be social,” Lily nodded with a laugh. “Jenny was gonna find Nick and I’m sure he wouldn’t mind having another guy around.” She leaned in to take one more bite of the cookie and then she was leading Harry back to the party.
Even when at a party full of people, Harry and Lily still preferred to find a space where they could go off on their own. “Sure thing, lovey.” He finished off the cookie before following her and sure enough, Jenny and Nick were standing and talking, with a few others there as well.
Lily took her drink with her, other hand interlaced with Harry’s, and found her friends, sliding in next to Nick who greeted Harry with a handshake and a pat on the shoulder. He was still figuring out his place in the friend group so Lily figured he liked having Harry at events with them. He was someone he could relate to.
Harry walked behind Lily and joined the group. Nick appeared a bit relieved to have another guy there, and Harry easily started up conversation with him while Lily talked with the rest of her friends, his hand slipping around her waist. Harry remembered when he first joined Lily’s friend group and how he always looked for those he was closest with to talk to.
Of course, the two of them had to be connected in some way even when talking to separate people, but Lily wouldn’t want it any other way. She was glad Harry felt comfortable around her friends and it clearly made Nick feel more comfortable as well.
They talked for a long time before Nick excused himself to get a drink, so Harry redirected his attention and began to listen in on Lily and her friends talk. Harry also couldn’t help but notice as he looked around the room that James was still there, but luckily, he still seemed to be actively avoiding them. It worked out for all of them at least.
The time to countdown for the new year approached and Sarah began to pass out champagne to everyone as they gathered in the living room. Everyone shouted out the countdown and then erupted in cheers and “Happy New Year’s” as it hit midnight. Lily clinked her glass against Harry’s and took a sip before pouting her lips out to him for a kiss.
Celebrating the new year was much better spent with their friends than packed tightly into a pub full of intoxicated people. Once it finally hit midnight, Harry sipped from his glass and then gave Lily a couple lingering kisses, cupping her chin between his fingers. “I love you,” he mumbled and smiled against her lips.
Lily smiled into the kiss when she got multiple long kisses. Best way to start the year. “I love you, too. Happy new year, babes,” she grinned.
“Happy new year, darling,” Harry smiled, brushing Lily’s hair back while he gave her another kiss before pulling away to look at her, “Can you believe we are in the year of marriage?”
Lily’s grin grew even wider if that was possible. “Seems so much closer now,” she beamed. Just a few more months and then she would be his wife.
“Crazy, isn’t it?” Harry grinned down at her. He slid his arm around her waist, managing to keep the champagne glass upright in that hand. “My soon-to-be Lily Styles.”
Lily nodded and carefully wrapped her arms around Harry’s neck, not wanting to spill what champagne was left down his back. “My soon to be husband,” she smiled back at him. “Does that mean I get to call you hubby?”
“I’d say it does,” Harry’s soft grin easily remained on his lips. He was at his happiest with Lily, even more so when talking about their upcoming marriage. “Can just see it now… walking around the house calling each other hubby and wifey all day.”
Lily lifted her chin slightly. “Personally, I think hubby is cuter. Wifey is alright,” she scrunched up her nose as she shrugged her shoulder. There was just something about ‘wifey’ that she didn’t like as much. “You can just keep calling me darling and put wife after it. My darling wife,” she tried it out which made her smile.
“I can work with that,” he agreed with a few slow nods, “My darling wife, my beautiful wife, my absolutely perfect wife…” He smiled lightly, the tips of their noses brushing together. It always felt like they were the only two in the room.
Lily giggled softly and dropped one of her hands between them to lightly pat his chest. “Okay, okay. Don’t get too carried away,” she teased.
Harry pressed one more kiss to her cheek. “You’re asking me to not get carried away with my gorgeous fiancée right in front of me? Impossible,” he sighed but stepped away and let go of her to finish off his glass.
Lily playfully rolled her eyes and dropped her arms from around him so she could take a sip of her drink as well.
Sarah took that as her opportunity to nudge her. “You two finally done making googly eyes at each other?” she teased, making Lily blush. They had quite the habit of forgetting where they were sometimes; too caught up in each other.
Harry laughed softly when he heard Sarah, having finished off the champagne. “For now,” he answered honestly. “Sorry, didn’t mean to keep Lily from you,” he grinned and leaned his shoulder against the wall.
“Told him earlier you were going to give me a big smackaroo at midnight,” Lily smiled at Sarah.
“Well, I woulda if you hadn’t been snogging your fiancé over here. I mean, seriously!” Sarah threw her arm around Lily’s shoulders. “She was mine first, ya know.”
Harry smiled watching them and nodded. “I know, I know… and then I came in and stole her from you. How dare I?” He teased back. “You do make a cute couple, though.”
Sarah playfully huffed. “You really should be ashamed,” she joked before placing a kiss to Lily’s cheek and giving her arm a squeeze. “If you all get horny, go do it in my crappy roommates’ bed and not mine, okay?” She raised her brows and eyed the two of them before slipping away, leaving Lily with her jaw practically on the floor.
Harry was not expecting that to leave Sarah’s mouth so he watched her, jaw slightly open in surprise, as she walked away, before returning his attention to Lily. At least she had the same reaction as he did. “Well… now we know.”
Lily lifted her hand to stop him right there. “No, no. One, Sarah is super drunk. And two, we’re not doing anything with all my friends here. I don’t need someone walking in on us.” With their luck, it’d be James and that situation would become astronomically more awkward.
Harry couldn’t help but grin at Lily’s immediate objection, tilting his head so that it rested against the wall too. “You know… there is such a thing as locks…on doors,” he pointed out, if only to get more of a reaction out of her.
“You can’t tell me that Sarah wouldn’t see us run off and tell everyone and they’d be gathered around the door listening,” Lily raised her brows at him. With the state Sarah was in, it was actually pretty likely.
“Perhaps it’s a them problem if they’re desperate enough to stand outside a door to listen to people having sex,” Harry teased before standing up straight to head to the kitchen, “But fine. If I must wait until we get home.”
Lily rolled her eyes at him and gave his bum a light smack as he passed her. But she didn’t give in and follow him to the kitchen. She stayed where she was, turning to Cameron to wish him a happy new year and chat.
Harry’s intention was only to drop his empty glass off in the kitchen, but like earlier that night, he got stuck talking to someone; a girl, who he didn’t know, and didn’t think was anyone Lily knew either. And being the nicest and most oblivious person that Harry was, having eyes for no one but his Lily, he didn’t notice at all the heavy flirting that was coming from the girl who he currently shared the kitchen with.
After a few moments, Cameron nodded towards the kitchen. “Think someone is trying to move in on your man,” he joked lightly. Lily followed his gaze to the kitchen where she could just make out Harry and a girl through the doorway. There was nothing super serious about it, but even Lily could tell from the girl’s body language that she was flirting. “Can’t blame her, but she’s barking up the wrong tree with Harry,” Lily laughed.
It was actually Sarah who saved him from being in the kitchen any longer, taking him back to Lily and Cameron to share one of her drunk stories with all of them, and then walking away once she got distracted by something else. “Could you please tell me why I’m the only one getting stuck talking to these people tonight?” Harry turned to Lily with a soft chuckle.
Lily hooked a finger through Harry’s belt loop to tug him closer when him and Sarah joined them. She couldn’t help but smile amusedly at his question. “Maybe you just need to quit wandering off to the kitchen by yourself,” she teased. “If you had a ring on your finger like me, maybe she would’ve gotten the hint a lot sooner.” Lily found it amusing that he’d gotten stuck and hadn’t been able to get himself out, it had been Sarah who rescued him.
“Apparently the kitchen is a bad place for me tonight,” Harry said quietly with a laugh. “What?” he gave Lily a confused look at her comment until he slowly realized what she meant, “Oh! You think she was flirting?”
Lily really laughed at that. “Oh baby. There was no doubt in my mind that she was flirting. Even Cameron noticed her leaning in towards you and that silly smile on her face.” She wasn’t surprised, though, that Harry hadn’t noticed.
“Oh…” Harry glanced away for a moment. He didn’t know how he never recognized that sort of thing. “Sorry, I honestly didn’t realize, babe,” he laughed a little, looking back at her, “Wouldn’t have been in there if I did.”
Lily quirked her brows up a bit, that amused smile still on her face. “Think it’s a good thing I didn’t realize my feelings for you until later, because I would’ve gotten annoyed with how oblivious you are to flirting,” she teased.
“Hey… you were the oblivious one back then, darling,” Harry pointed out with a grin. His arm was soon back around her waist, not able to go long without being close to her. “I’m very oblivious except when it comes to youuu.”
“Oh, one hundred percent. So, bless you for being so patient,” she smiled at him. Her hand moved to rest on his upper arm and she gave it a squeeze. “Oh, I know. Your attention is all on me. Apparently always has been.”
“You got it, lovey.” He smiled. “I’m gonna use the bathroom quick. You’re still a no on the quickie in her friend’s room before we go? Or, how about the bathroom counter?” He teased with a grin, already knowing Lily’s answer so he turned to head towards the bathroom.
“Make sure nobody follows you in and traps you in a conversation again,” Lily called out to him with a teasing grin. It was apparently dangerous for Harry to walk around this party alone.
“I can’t make any promises, lovey… there seems to be a pattern,” Harry called back with a smile, closing the bathroom door after him. At least it was safe from people in there.
Lily finished off her glass of champagne and then went to the kitchen to get rid of the glass. Just before she stepped into the kitchen, someone caught her elbow and she turned to see James.
He quickly let go and shoved his hand back in his pocket. “Hey, just wanted to say happy new year and congratulations in person. I’m really happy for you, Lil.”
Lily gave him a small, but soft smile. “Thank you. I’m very excited.” She could’ve said she was bummed he wouldn’t be there, but really she meant the old James. Her friend that still lived in her memories. But before she could even say anything else, he was already turning back to the people he was talking to previously.
James was already turned back around talking to the group of friends when Harry finished up in the bathroom and went to find Lily. “Hey there, cutie,” Harry smiled, “Having fun? Did you want to stay longer?”
Lily continued into the kitchen and threw away her trash. Subconsciously she started to clean up some of the kitchen, knowing Sarah would be far too drunk to clean up after everyone left. She turned when she heard Harry and smiled softly at him. “I think I’m ready to head out. Party’s starting to die down and honestly, I’m pretty tired,” she laughed softly.
Harry saw Lily starting to clean up and helped her for a little. At least they could get rid of some of the trash that was set around. “I really don’t know how we managed to stay up this late even,” Harry teased with a smile.
“Good luck waking me up tomorrow,” Lily teased, grinning over at him. Then she moved to wash her hands and let out a sigh as she dried them off. “Alright. Ready to say our goodbyes?”
Harry laughed and did the same once Lily was done, drying his hands. “Ready. At least everyone left is quite drunk, makes goodbyes quick and easy,” he smiled, leading Lily out to the living room where everyone else was.
“Don’t jinx us,” Lily laughed, knowing how some of her friends could get. They made their rounds of giving hugs and saying goodbye before Lily was heading to get their coats from Sarah’s room.
They said their goodbyes to everyone and Harry followed her to the doorway of the room. He slid on his coat before helping Lily with hers and then got his keys out from his pocket. “Ready, darling?”
Lily was getting sleepier by the minute and the champagne didn’t help matters. She nodded and slipped her hand into his once her coat was on. “More than ready.” They gave one last wave as they headed out the door and Lily got more of a pep in her step when the cold nipped at her legs.
Harry laced their fingers and waved once more before walking out the door with her. He helped her into the car and got in himself, doing so as quick as possible to avoid the cold. “That was fun, yeah?” he smiled as he started the car, immediately turning up the heat.
Lily pulled her coat tighter around her and practically curled up in the seat after buckling up. She shifted sideways so she could look at Harry, giving him a tired smile “It was. Did you have fun? Even with all your awkward conversations?” she asked seriously.
Harry began to drive, making sure his hands were warmed up before he was placing one across Lily’s leg. “Yeah, those were a bit strange,” he laughed softly but gave a shrug, “Other than that, I had a lot of fun. I’m glad you did too. It was a very nice party.”
“Okay, good. I was worried it wasn’t fun for you,” Lily confessed. She fiddled with the rings on his fingers, twirling them back and forth. “I’m ready for bed, though. We rarely stay up this late.”
“Yeah? Or do you think we should just go for it and pull an all-nighter?” he teased with a smile. They wouldn’t make it even if they were to try; they were both clearly exhausted.
Lily just blinked slowly at Harry. “I would one hundred percent fall asleep on you.” Plus sleeping all day tomorrow would not be helpful for work the next day.
Harry laughed. “I’d be okay with that.” He was tired, but it seemed Lily had him beat in that aspect. She looked ready to fall asleep in the car. But soon, they returned home and Harry parked. “Okay, sleepyhead, let’s get you to bed.”
It didn’t help that the heat had kicked on and Lily was getting more comfy and sleepy. She pouted as she looked out the door at her home. “But I don’t wanna get out in the cold,” she mumbled pitifully.
Harry could only smile upon hearing her, seeing how impossible her request was going to be. Lily was being too adorable to not go along with it, though. “Okay, so… choices are... we sleep in the car, we make a run for it inside, or I can carry you inside.”
Lily just pouted even more dramatically. “I guess we can run. Even if I don’t want to.” She unbuckled her seatbelt and reached for the handle, but didn’t open the door yet.
Sleepy Lily was very dramatic and a little bit grumpy, but it kept Harry amused. He had to make a mental note to never let them stay out this late again. “I’m going,” Harry warned with a smile and pushed his door open before getting out, letting Lily go first so he could follow her up to the door.
Lily let out a whine when he left her but then she had no other choice but to follow him. She ran up to the door, her arms crossed tightly over her chest. Unfortunately, Harry was the one with the keys.
Harry followed quickly behind Lily and unlocked the front door, closing it and locking it again once they were inside. “Go do your stuff in the bathroom and I’ll get your pajamas out,” he smiled and slipped his shoes off, greeting Finn before going to their room. At least that would give Lily some time to warm up before having to get changed.
Lily scurried in and kicked off her boots, but she was hesitant to take off her coat. Thankfully they kept it fairly warm in their apartment; so, once the door was shut, she felt more comfortable. She smiled at Harry’s offer, loving when he took care of her. “Thank you, baby,” she grinned, pressing a quick kiss to his cheek. Then she was off to their bathroom to brush her teeth and wash the makeup off her face.
“My pleasure, darling.” Harry got Lily’s pajama bottoms out and one of his t-shirts for her to change into, laying them out on the bed for when she’d finish up in the bathroom. Then he was undressing, staying in his boxers. He usually got warm in his sleep and with all of their cuddles, and the temperature was already much better in their apartment than it was outside.
Lily was quick with her routine and more than happy to slip into the cozy pjs instead of her dress. Once she was changed, she climbed into bed with a happy hum, eyes closed before her head even hit the pillow. But she wouldn’t fall asleep until Harry joined her. Or she’d at least try not to.
Harry took over the bathroom once Lily was done, making sure to be quiet with everything he did in case she fell asleep before he joined her. He didn’t take long, though, and turned off all lights before he was slipping into bed next to her.
Lily was close to dozing off, but her eyes opened some whenever Harry climbed in. “Hi, lovey,” she murmured with a sleepy smile. Normally she’d slide closer to him, but her body was too tired.
“Hi, love,” Harry smiled. He had to lay more on Lily’s side of the bed than usual to get close to her, seeing how tired she was. “I love you, sleepy girl. Goodnight,” he draped his arm over her and laid his head down.
Lily just hummed in response at first, her eyes slipping closed. But then she managed a “G’night” before officially dozing off.
Harry thought she’d already fallen asleep when he didn’t get an immediate response, but her eventual tired mumble made him smile a bit. It didn’t take him long either to fall asleep, hoping Finn would hold off the next morning and they’d be able to sleep in. They needed it.

“Look Harry” you bob him up and down on your side as you show him the Christmas tree “Santa will be here soon” you nuzzle your nose into his causing him to let out the cutest giggle
Sirius walks in with a blanket for you both stopping at the door as he sees you and Harry, his heart exploding and aching all at once. As he watched you both he smiled, he always knew you’d make an amazing mother, he only wished you both became parents under better circumstances. He missed James and Lily more than anything, it killed him that they would never get to see these moments and Harry wouldn’t get to grow up with them. He shook away his thoughts before he started to tear up, moving to hug you from behind leaning to give you a kiss on the cheek
“Hi darling” he looks at Harry who pouts “You want one too” he leans forward kissing the boy’s cheek making him burst out in smiles
He turns to look at your face noticing you look a bit sad “You okay?”
“He hasn’t spoken since…” you couldn’t say it, still hurt so much “he makes the cutest noises but what if he saw it and never speaks again” you try to hold back your sniffles as you rock Harry whose attention has now been caught by one of the bobbles on the tree
Sirius tightens is grip on your waist, pressing a kiss to your temple “He’ll talk when he’s ready” he looks at Harry a bit of mischief appears in his smile “I bet he’ll say Pads or Sirius first”
You look at him “He won’t I’m his favourite he’ll say y/n” you gain Harry’s attention again “Won’t you Harry, can you say y/n for me” you try to coax the boy but he just giggles
“What about pads, can you say pads for your uncle Sirius” Sirius tries as well but Harry scrunches up his face making you giggle
“I think I’ve got better odds darling” you bite you lip looking at him “What are the stakes?”
“Dishes for a week” he poses raising an eyebrow at you
“Deal”

“When your auntie y/n gets back from the shops I need you to say pads for me okay, Sirius even just anything along those lines” Sirius tries to barging with Harry as he sits on the floor while Harry plays with some toys in front of him
The boy looks up at him almost as if to say ‘why are you interrupting my play time’ “Please Moonys coming to stay this week for his birthday and do you have any idea how much that man eats” Sirius half pleads with the kid, face softening at Harrys giggle at him
“Hey troubles” y/n comes into the room placing down the grocery bags on the floor
Harrys eyes light up, shakily standing up to run up to you “Mommy!” he makes grabby hands
Yours and Sirius’ eyes widen, you start tearing up “Did you just call me mommy?” you ask as you pick him up
Harry pouts in your arms trying to wipe the tears “mommy don cry”
“No honey these are happy tears” you hold him tight to your chest, Harry gripping your shirt tightly
You turn to Sirius who also had tears of joy in his eyes walking up to kiss your forehead whispering “I love you”
Smiling back, you lean up to kiss him properly “I love you too”
As you pull back you smirk “What” he tilts his head
“That counts” you raise your eyebrows
“Fuck” he curses shaking his head, starting to chuckle
“Fuck” your heads shoot down to Harry, Sirius puts his hand over his mouth to stop from laughing
“Siri!”

“Siri you seen my shirt” you scrabble to get your clothes on knowing Remus would be back any minute with Harry
“Try near the desk in the bedroom I’m sure I threw it in that general direction” Sirius replies as he finishes getting his own clothes on, zipping up his trousers as he hears Remus come in
“Guys” you and can hear the tone in Remus’ voice warning you that you both better be dressed “We’re back”
Sirius comes into the room “Harry, you have a nice day with your uncle Moony” luckily the boys too excited to see his messy hair and flushed cheeks
Harry beams up at him “Yeah! We went to this park and this lady had these little pink bouncy creatures and she let me hold one, and then we got ice-cream!” he excitingly replies jumping up and down as Remus chuckles behind him
Sirius’ hair moves a bit revealing his neck causing Harry to furrow his eyebrows “Daddy what happened to your neck” he pouts thinking his dad got hurt
“Oh” he places his hand over his neck as Remus tries not to giggle as he shakes his head “Hit it on a…door” Remus facepalms at the terrible excuse
“Hey Harry you have a good time!” you finally walk in
“Mommy!” Harry runs up to you jumping into your arms
“There’s the door now” Remus smirks motioning to your shirt
You look down realising its not only inside out but also the wrong way around, Sirius starts chuckling as Remus just shakes his head at his friends
“Oops”

“I love it sweetie” you pull him into a hug

“Mum, Dad?” Harry walks into the kitchen with a thoughtful look
“What’s up?” Sirius pats the seat next to him as you move from the sink over to the table, leaning a hand on the back of your husband’s chair
“Well…” he looks at you both nervously “…I was wondering…” he smiles at you putting on his best puppy eyes
“Wondering what?” you extend the syllables
“If we could get a dog” he looks between you both leaning his head forward a bit as he gauged your reactions
You start giggling a little bit as Sirius smiles “What?” Harry sits up a bit completely confused
“I think it’s time we told him” you say as you squeeze Sirius’ shoulder
“Told me what?”
Sirius stands up moving away from the table as Harry turns into his seat to watch. His eyes widen as Sirius shifts into a dog, completely bewildered
“Harry meet snuffles” you and Harry start laughing as your husband huffs in hid dog form

You smile before it drops seeing Harry looking nervous, kneeling down to check something on the trolley “You okay?” you join him kneeling on the floor
He looks up at you, his eyes a wash of worries “Do you think I’ll be a Gryffindor like you and…and them?”
“Aww sweetie” you reach out to take his hands in yours “No matter what house you’re placed in we will love you. Your house doesn’t define the kind of person you are, so whether you are placed in Gryffindor or not we are so proud of you. And…” you look over towards Sirius who has gotten distracted with something the twins are showing him “Siri and your parents were Gryffindor but I was a Slytherin”
“You were” he looks shocked but smiles
“Yup, so when the time comes and that hat is placed on your head, remember to follow what’s in here and fuck everyone else” you point to his heart as he smiles “and don’t tell your dad I said fuck, although in my defence he taught you it first when you were one” you giggle together
Tumblr media
Sirius tugs you closer as you both watch Harry wave from the window alongside Ron. You start to sniffle a bit as the train disappears out of sight “He’s all grown up”
Your husband places a kiss to your temple “We did a good job”
“We did” you smile sadly “I wish they were here, they would be so proud of the man he’s becoming”
He moves to look at you cupping your cheek “They are, I promise prongs and red are somewhere out there smiling”
As you both walk off Sirius squeezes your hand “Months washing he’s Gryffindor”
“I wouldn’t be so sure but you’re on mister”

“We have to stop betting on Harry” Sirius comes with Harrys letter in his hand, fake annoyance on his head
“Why because you always lose” you smirk at him
He places down the letter, walking up to you scooping you up and onto the table behind you “Hey” you giggle at him as he captures your lips
“You are the only person I don’t mind losing too, although it would have been nice to win at least one” he says as he pulls back sighing as he runs his hands up and down your sides
“Maybe you will with the next one” his eyes light up one hand moving to your stomach
“Your?”
“Yup” you nod smiling
You sequel as he picks you up twirling you around “Siri!”

hey! i love your work so much and i had an idea. what about the whole team going to pride? or maybe just the cubs or coops, but i would love to see the whole team supporting and maybe breaking out flags of their own. :)))
Happy Pride, everyone!!! It has been such a wild year, but I hope you all find comfort and joy during this month <3 I'm sending you all love and hugs (or high-fives, if you prefer), as well as positive vibes for the summer. SW credit belongs to @lumosinlove as always!
Credit to @queercanoe for the the rainbow bracelet idea <3
“This is…this is really nice,” Sirius said as they stood in line for popsicles. His face glowed with happiness and Remus squeezed his hand where it laid over his shoulder.
“Better than last year?”
He hummed in thought. “I like being here without the Cup and all the cameras. It’s just us.”
“And half the team,” Remus added.
“True,” Sirius laughed, bending down to kiss his forehead. Some of the glitter Lily had managed to sprinkle over his head and smear on his cheeks fell onto Remus’ shirt, and he brushed it off with a laugh. “Love you.”
“Love you, too. The kids are still arguing.”
Sirius glanced behind them and snorted; on the other end of the block, Leo hitched Logan higher on his back as he held Finn’s baseball cap out of reach. Talker and James had started an impromptu game of volleyball with a stray balloon, and the sight of Regulus playing peekaboo with Harry using his pride flag cape sent a burst of happy butterflies through Remus’ stomach.
“D’you think they’ve even noticed we’re gone?”
“Doubt it.”
They tapped their popsicles together in a toast and meandered back to the group—the afternoon heat toned down some of the manic energy of the morning parade, and Remus was content to just wander hand-in-hand with his fiancé for a while.
Not your fiancé for long, he reminded himself as the ice cooled his mouth. Just five more days, and then you’ll have a ring, too.
He stood on his toes, still a little sore from dancing earlier in the day, and kissed Sirius’ cheek. “What was that for?”
“Nothing. Just ‘cause I love you.”
Sirius let out a slow breath and squeezed him a little tighter around the shoulders, catching a drip of syrupy red before it slid down to his elbow. “This is the perfect day.”
“It is, isn’t it? Ooo, blue raspberry.”
“Can I have a taste?”
“Of c—” Remus was cut off by warm lips against his own, shorting out every braincell in one fell swoop. You sly little shit, he thought, smiling into the kiss as Sirius dipped him back.
They straightened up after a moment and Sirius raised his eyebrows thoughtfully. “Yeah, that’s pretty good.”
“Your lips are purple.”
He licked his own half-melted popsicle before dragging Remus in for one more kiss, though both of them were almost laughing too hard for his plan to work. “There. Now we match.”
“Thanks, babes.”
“Hey!” Finn cupped his hands around his mouth, clearly giving up on retrieving his hat. “Are you done yet? I was promised popsicles!”
Remus flipped him off and pulled Sirius down by the collar of his shirt, suddenly uncaring of the stickiness making its chilly way down his forearm. It was their day to do that, after all; their day to be flamboyantly affectionate to anyone in sight, regardless of contracts and media and expectations. It was a day drenched in popsicle sugar where he could turn his soon-to-be-husband’s lips more purple than the dahlias he loved so much.
“You could’ve just said ‘no’,” Finn remarked as they rejoined the group, both a little flushed.
“As if you’ve kept your hands to yourself,” Remus teased, gesturing to the various smudges in Finn’s face paint.
He hesitated, then shrugged. “Good point.”
“I have them on occasion.” A burst of giggling caught both their attention and softness bloomed in Remus’ chest as Sirius tossed Harry a few inches into the air, making rocket ship noises. Next to him, Leo had set Logan down so he could lift Katie up and tickle her until she shrieked with joy.
“God, they’re cute,” Finn said around a mouthful of syrup-soaked ice. The look in his eyes was unmistakably fond, and Remus knew it was reflected on his own face.
“They are. The boyfriends aren’t bad, either.”
Finn snorted, then spluttered as he nearly spat out his popsicle, sending Remus into peals of laughter. “Stop it!” he complained, though the didn’t sound very upset at all. “I’m gonna get a brain freeze!”
“A brain freeze?” Sirius turned to Harry with exaggerated shock.
“Oh, no!” Harry gasped. Behind them, James stifled his smile in the side of Lily’s neck.
“It’s not lookin’ good, buddy,” Finn said with false gravity. “Popsicles are a dangerous food.”
Harry made grabby hands until Finn settled him on his hip, then took his face between two chubby hands and looked deep into his eyes. “Your lips are blue,” he proclaimed after a long moment.
“Are they?”
“Uh-huh. Tremzy’s got red lips, an’ Knutty’s got red lips, and Mama has pink lips, and Uncle Pads has purple lips.” Harry poked the side of his mouth. “You’ve gotta have purple lips, too.”
Finn raised his eyebrows at Remus over Harry’s shoulder. “Not a chance, Harzy.”
“We’re better kissers anyway,” Leo said with a grin as he sidled up and gave Finn a light peck. “Better, Pocket Pots?”
Harry stuck his tongue between his teeth in a comical imitation of Sirius’ concentration face; Remus shoulders shook as he held back his amusement. “Almonds.”
“What?”
“Almost,” Sirius corrected gently. “Not almonds. Close, though.”
“Tremzy!” Harry called. Logan looked up from Katie, who was quite happily upside down as he swung her like a clock pendulum. “You’ve gotta make Harzy’s lips purple!”
“Do I?” Logan glanced back down. “Can I set you down, ma princesse?”
“No!”
“Okay,” he laughed, hauling her over with careful steps. Finn leaned down to kiss him; over his shoulder, Leo and Harry made faces at each other.
“This is perfect,” Sirius murmured, resting his forehead against Remus’ (admittedly sweaty) hair. Remus closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and let the stress of wedding planning roll off his back. He could be surrounded by their family in a sea of color for just a little longer—they could be there together.
“I’m proud to be with you,” he said as Regulus clambered onto Leo’s back for ‘a better view’.
It was a cheesy sentiment, but they had never shied away from romcom moments before. He felt Sirius’ soft huff of breath on his temple. “Re…”
I’ll never get tired of the way you say my name. “That’s me.”
The sigh turned to quiet laughter and a kiss. “We are such a cliché.”
“But you love it.”
“Damn right I do.” His lips were sweet and a little sticky, still; Remus wanted to drown in the feeling. “I will always be proud to be with you.”
“Uncle Pads!”
“Yes?” Sirius lifted him out of Finn’s arms with a dramatic groan. “You’re growing up too fast!”
Harry squished his cheeks, then poked the tip of his nose. “Why don’t you wear rainbows?”
Sirius frowned slightly. “I’m wearing rainbows right now.”
“But you only wear them now.”
“You want me to wear rainbows every day?” He cast a look at Remus, who half-shrugged.
“You do look good.”
“Everybody should wear rainbows all the time,” Harry declared. Down the street, a series of party poppers went off, followed by loud cheering from another group.
“Excuse me?” a timid voice asked. Remus startled slightly and turned around; a small group of teenagers was huddled by the massive balloon arch. One young man held his phone up. “Could we—uh, could we get a picture with you guys?”
“Do you want me to take it for you?” Leo offered as Finn took Harry again.
The kid’s eyes went wide, and he nodded enthusiastically. “Sure, thanks!”
“Alright, on three!” Leo squinted in the sunshine as they gathered in a semicircle. “One, two, three, smile!”
“Could we get one with you, too?” one of the girls asked when he lowered the camera.
Sirius took the camera as they shuffled around and swapped positions, crowding close to the rainbow balloons while Harry played with Remus’ colorful suspenders. “Ready? Say cheese!”
“Cheese!” they chorused.
“I got a couple, just in case.” He handed the phone back to the first boy with a smile. “Are you guys having a good time?”
“Yeah, this is amazing,” he answered, a little breathless. “It’s—this is so cool. Thanks again.”
“Pas de problem.”
Remus glanced over just in time to see the girl bump her own rainbow bracelet with Leo’s; both of them were grinning broadly. “Have fun today, okay?” he said, giving the shortest of the group a high five. A jumble of goodbyes answered before they hurried back into the crowd, whispering among themselves while their pins flashed in the sun.
“They were cute,” Sirius said, watching them go with an indecipherable look. “Feels good to know it meant something, y’know?”
“It always does,” Remus agreed, snuggling against his side despite the heat. “I wish—”
Sirius looked down at him when he faltered; Harry yawned so wide his eyes closed. “What?”
“I wish we had this when we were kids.”
Regulus and Leo tumbled out of the rapidly-growing crowd, bickering over who got which part of the cotton candy, while Kasey stood as still as he could so Natalie could finish the small bi flag on his cheek. Sirius’ whole face lit up as he watched them. “It’s even better now.”
Remus watched the second wave of the parade build around them—people of every shape and size were decked out in a whole spectrum of colors, turning the street into a living rainbow in the afternoon sun. He tucked his hand into Sirius’ back pocket and laced their free hands together, listening to his heartbeat under his cheek. “This is the best thing we’ve ever done.”
“Coming to Pride?”
“No.” He held their hands up, and Sirius’ ring caught the light. “This.”

You know, people say that IronStrange is a sad ship because they're clearly "right person, wrong time". But I think our ship is sailing on tears because Tony and Stephen are "right person, not enough time".
Can you use this as a prompt? If you're not busy? Or if you feel like it? Thank you 🥺
Of course I can use it as a prompt! What I came up with is a little but sad though!
Warnings: Mention of a terminal illness. (Nothing specific)
***
Smoothing out the collar of his shirt, Stephen checked his reflection in the mirror, picking up the bouquet of flowers he’d placed down on his desk. Taking a deep breath and checking his reflection once again, he practiced his smile before he left his bedroom.
He’d done this walk thousands of times without thinking about it too much. The Sanctum corridors were part of the background of his life, the setting blending into all the other memories he had of it. Today was different though, today he took his time to look at everything as he walked.
One of the cabinets was missing a ceramic incense burner that Stephen had always secretly hated. It was meant to ward off evil spirits and the like, but it had always given Stephen the eerie feeling of being watched. Tony had bumped into the cabinet by accident, leaving an indent in the wall that Stephen now brushed his fingers over. The accident had destroyed the gruesome thing, and Tony had replaced it with a sculpture of his own, a miniature Iron Man figurine.
‘That will stop the evil spirits dead in their tracks.’
His clutch on his flowers faltered as he looked down at the figurine, a few petals fluttering down to the floor.
Stephen could feel his resolve wavering, and he bowed his head, gritting his teeth against the burning in his eyes. The onslaught of his emotions raged in the confines of his mind, scratching and biting at his barely held together resolve. Why was this happening?
No, this wasn’t about him, this was about Tony, and he wasn’t going to let his arrogance invade now, not today. Clearing his throat, he refused to allow himself to feel anything else but this cheerful façade he’d constructed for the day.
Tony was sat in his armchair among the artifacts, talking to the Cloak about something inane. The Cloak’s collar twitched up, indicating it had realized Stephen was nearby, but it didn’t move from beside Tony, still giving him its full attention.
He was having a good day, which was why he’d suggested to Stephen they do this. A simple date, just the two of them. Stephen allowed himself to watch Tony for a moment, just listening to the sound of his voice and not the meaning of his words.
There were things he took for granted in his life, things that were constant, never faltering, his reality built upon them. Perched in his chair and talking to the Cloak, that was a fundamental part of Stephen’s life, not just a person he spent time with. He was as integral to Stephen as the air he breathed, the halls he walked down, the tea he drank.
There wasn’t a Stephen Strange without Tony Stark.
He couldn’t fathom a reality where Tony wasn’t in it.
Who else could he call douchebag and mean it as a form of endearment? Who would understand behind the snark and the sarcasm was genuine concern when Stephen spoke? No one else spoke the language they used with each other, their lexicon developed from their love and time spent together.
Shoving the feelings down, he ignored them, imagining stamping them into submission. He wasn’t going to do this now, not now, later, he would break later, now he would be there for Tony, give him the day he wanted.
‘Afternoon sweetheart, sorry I couldn’t get here sooner, but Wong would just not shut up about some trivial illness he thinks he has now,’ Stephen said as he strode over to Tony, offering him the flowers.
‘I thought it was common knowledge that if you have a friend who used to be a doctor, you’re supposed to ask them to look at everything,’ Tony answered, leaning up to accept Stephen’s kiss.
‘I brought you some lilies-’
‘Hot rod red, just the way I like them!’ Tony burst out, reaching with grabby hands. Making sure his touch was delicate, Stephen helped guide his hands to the bouquet, ignoring how skeletal they were, the paper thinness of skin and how he could see the spiderweb of indigo veins beneath.
One of the strongest men in the universe, Earth’s defender was now reduced to this.
‘Peter told me they symbolize passion and romantic love, but I looked it up and they can also symbolize hard work.’
‘You trying to imply I’m not working hard enough or something, asshole?’ Tony mock growled, inhaling the scent of the flowers.
This was one of life’s crueler twists of fate, a final screw you to Stephen.
You still think there will be no consequences, Strange? No price to pay? We broke our rules. Just like her. The bill comes due. Always! The words ricocheted around his brain, plastering themselves over and over inside his skull, branding themselves on the back of Stephen’s eyelids, motes of red against the darkness.
He’d thought by saving Tony when he defeated Thanos he’d been doing the right thing. He’d forced his magic to comply, warping the very fabric of space and time to save Tony, to heal his charred body, his damaged brain. At the time he told himself that he was doing it not because he himself had fallen for the man in the millions of lifetimes he’d glimpsed of Tony, but because of Pepper and Morgan, the family he deserved to have.
Stephen had tried to stay away from Tony after that, hadn’t wanted to destroy a happy family, but Tony had been drawn to him, just as he had been to Tony. His relationship with Pepper had come to an end, an amicable end, there was too much love and memories between them for it not to be. Even then, Stephen had waited months, held Tony at arm’s length to make sure he was ready for this relationship.
Months they could’ve had together.
As a doctor, he knew what Tony’s diagnosis meant, knew that no matter what miracles the hospital performed that this was always going to be terminal. He wanted to fix this, dear God how he wanted to fix it. He didn’t want Morgan growing up without a father, didn’t…couldn’t imagine life without Tony, how he was meant to go on without him.
This had been the price of his arrogance. He had saved Tony’s life by breaking the natural law, and this was how it had demanded payment.
He brought Tony’s hand to his mouth, brushing a kiss against the delicate skin.
Love stories were not always about the everlasting love, the stretching of years before you. Sometimes it was as short as finding the right person and not having enough time.
‘I know, Stephen, I feel it too,’ Tony said, leaning his forehead against Stephen’s. ‘You promised me one day. One day without treatments, hospital appointments, being prodded.’
‘I did, and I meant it, sweetheart. What did you have in mind? We’ll do anything you want to do. I could portal us to the beach? Or another country?’ Stephen asked, offering his arm to help Tony up, and passing the flowers over to the Cloak.
‘Let’s go for a walk in Central Park, take an aimless meander,’ Tony told him.
‘An aimless meander? Since when don’t you have a plan in mind? A thousand different things that you want to do?’ Stephen teased as they walked down the Sanctum stairs, the Cloak waiting at the bottom for them both, attaching itself to Tony’s shoulders to help carry some of his weight.
‘Maybe I just want to spend time with you without any of life’s complications getting in the way,’ Tony countered.
Opening the front door for him, Stephen bowed at his waist, extending his hand in an exaggerated gesture. ‘Your wish is my command, douchebag.’ He hesitated for a moment, looking at the sky, the brilliance of the blue, the cotton candy spun clouds.
A perfect day for meandering.

champagne problems (s.b one shot)
“What’s wrong, sweetheart?” Sirius whispered, scared of the situation in front of him. You’d been distant all day, as if something was bothering you. With Sirius, you were always so carefree and at ease because he knew exactly how to make you feel better, but this time, it seemed Sirius was at a loss.
You refused to look at him. He felt his heart shattering every time he called for you and he got no response. He tried to be patient and not push you, knowing your stubbornness rivaled his. So he sat quietly and let your mind wander off into new places as he watched you slip away from him— until finally, he could bear it no longer.
“Sirius,” you sighed, using all your power to push yourself further away from him. You held a hand up, keeping him at an arm’s distance as he tried to get closer, “I have to leave.”
His eyebrows furrowed, a look of genuine confusion etched on his face, “What?”
“I have to go,” your voice betrayed you, cracking in mid sentence as you tried to explain why you had to leave. “I’m muggleborn. After the McKinnons…. They’ll try to take my family next, I know it. Sirius, you have to understand.”
“I can help protect them,” he rebutted, eyes darting everywhere, as if trying to figure out how he would do that. “We can do this together, you know? I’m getting better and better everyday since Hogwarts, Y/N. We’ll put up protective charms a-and we can fight. Yeah, we’ll fight—”
“This isn’t your fight, Sirius,” you explained, wiping your tears, “You have your own family to protect. Moony, Peter, The Potters! James and Lily and young Harry! The Order needs you, Sirius. I can’t take you away from your duties.”
He shook his head, hair already messy from his constant tugging, “You’re my family, too! I don’t understand why I can’t help you.”
“I could never forgive myself if something happened to you because you were trying to protect me and my family.”
“And I could never forgive myself if something happened to you! Especially knowing I could’ve helped!” Sirius exclaimed, his calm demeanor long gone. He wasn’t yelling at you, but his voice significantly picked up volume as the conversation progressed. His eyes were red, lips severely bitten as he pleaded his case. “I don’t understand why you have to go! They’re okay, I’ll make sure of it.”
“Sirius, you’re not listening to me!”
“No, you’re not listening to me!” he replied, marching over to you. He held you by your shoulders, looking at you straight in the eyes, “You… You can’t leave, Y/N. Not right now, not ever. We already lost Marlene and the Prewetts and Godric, if I lost you— If I lost you, I wouldn’t know what to do. We’ll put your family under protective custody and we’ll make sure they don’t touch them, you hear me? But you are not going off by yourself.”
“Sirius, I can’t have you pulling strings for me. The Order needs people here. They need people to fight. I’m expendable, Sirius, don’t you understand? Nobody is going out there to protect muggles. No one.” You held his face in your hands, leaving soft kisses on his skin. He closed his eyes, crying brokenly. You continued, “I have to go, Sirius. You need to stay here. They need you, Sirius Black.”
“What about what I need?” he whispered, gripping your waist. He showed no signs of letting you go. In fact, his grip on your waist tightened, afraid that one falter in his movements, you’d walk away. He wasn’t ready. “I need you.”
You knew then that Sirius understood why you had to go. If the Potters were ever in danger, he’d drop everything to make sure they were safe. Although he wasn’t Euphemia’s and Fleamont’s son by blood, they treated him like he was. You grew up with a loving family— one that Sirius longed for and finally got after meeting young James Potter on the train in their first year, and Sirius knew you had to go. But it didn’t make it any easier on him.
He opened his heart to you, and there was not a day since that he regretted doing so. He was broken and bruised and for a while, he thought he was incapable of accepting love that didn’t come from the Marauders or the Potters. You came along in his fourth year, trailing behind Lily Evans who was asking Remus for some help on Transfigurations, and you beamed at him with that sunshine smile and he was done for.
Sirius fell for you, hard and quick. He was in love with you before you even entertained the idea of Sirius Black in your life. Growing up, he yearned to be loved by someone and he never thought that the mere idea of falling in love with someone like you would feel just as good as feeling that love he craved. You had such a big heart, Sirius knew that but a part of him still thought there was no space in there for him. As pathetic as it sounded (Remus’ words— though he said it with a small smile tugging on his lips), Sirius would’ve been okay with that because to him, it was an honor all on its own to love you, even if it wasn’t reciprocated.
The day you told him you loved him, all the heartache and pain that young Sirius Black endured all his years suddenly felt like nothing. Sure, the trauma and the hurt will always leave their mark on him, but now, once those words left your lips, Sirius Black knew that he would be okay. He had you.
Sirius spoke again, “Y/N, this is probably the worst time to do this but I never had good timing, did I?”
“Siri,” you whispered, gasping into your palms as he kneeled down on one knee.
“I don’t have a ring. Uh, the Black family has a ring we pass down every generation but obviously, I was not blessed with such,” he chuckled, playing with your fingers. “I may not have a ring but I have my love and I’m hoping that will suffice for now. Y/N Y/L/N, will you marry me?”
Nodding your head furiously, you mumbled a shaky, “Yes.”
Sirius laughed, getting up on his feet to twirl you around your living room. He buried his head in your hair, wanting to memorize your scent. He kissed your neck softly, muttering his undying love and affection. He spun you around until you were both too dizzy to stand and you collapsed on top of him on your couch.
You giggled, tucking a piece of his hair behind his ear. You rubbed your thumb across his cheekbone, kissing the tip of his nose, “I love you.”
“I love you,” he replied, “I promise when you get back, I will put a ring on your finger.”
When you get back.
“When I get back,” you confirmed.
-
James whistled, inspecting the ring in the box, “Blimey, Padfoot. This is beautiful!”
Sirius smiled proudly, eyes gleaming with excitement as his friend examined the ring he picked out for you. Since you left four months ago, he went on a hunt for the perfect ring, “Thanks, Prongs.”
“She’ll love it,” Remus added, putting down the newspaper that he was reading, “When is she coming back?”
“When it’s safe enough, I suppose. That’s why we have to win this war, gentlemen. I would like to see my fiance as soon as possible.”
Lily laughed, holding Harry by her heart, “I would also like to see my best friend soon. Harry also does miss his Godmother.”
“He babbles her name whenever he sees the stuffed lion she got him,” James added, getting up to wrap his arms around Lily. The picture perfect family looked so happy to be with each other. It almost made the other two boys in the room forget what was going on outside the doors of their home.
Sirius got up to take Harry from Lily, rocking the baby back and forth as he smiled fondly at his Godfather, “I miss her too, Bambi. We’ll see her soon, yeah?”
Harry made some baby noises, laughing with his chest as Sirius pulled funny faces. He couldn’t help but think about how nice it would be to have one with you. Remus popped his head over Sirius’ shoulder to watch the baby and Harry immediately made grabby hands at Remus. Sirius passed him over to his best friend and sat back down on the Potters’ couch. He picked up the box that James left on the table and stared at it lovingly.
Then, a bright light entered the room, startling all its occupants. A patronus.
It was a black dog, one that mirrored Padfoot, and it ran around the room before stopping right in front of Sirius. Lily ran to Remus and grabbed a hold of Harry, who buried his head into the crook of his mother’s neck. James rushed over to his family, wrapping a protective arm around the two. Remus stood there, stunned.
Sirius knew it was your patronus.
Before anyone could make another move, your voice rang in the room.
“Sirius,” you gasped, sounding out of breath. There was chaos in the background, he could hear it. His heart dropped to his stomach. No.
“Sirius,” your patronus said again. “They’re here. There’s too many of them and— Sirius…”
“No,” his eyes were wide. Remus placed a hand on his shoulder but he couldn’t feel it. Lily looked away, hiding into James’ chest. Harry began to hiccup.
“Sirius, I love you. I love you so much. So so much.”
Then the black dog disappeared. The silence was eerie, even young Harry stopped his noises. Sirius dropped the ring, falling to the ground right after it.
Remus kneeled down, holding him up, “Padfoot…”
“We have to go,” he breathed out, not looking at anyone in the eye. He faced straight ahead, his mind spinning too quickly for him to make sense of his thoughts. Sirius began to breathe unevenly, clutching his chest like it might burst.
“Okay, Pads,” James nodded. He looked at Lily for confirmation. She tipped her head, holding Harry even closer than before. She knew.
Without another word, the three boys apparated straight to your old home. Sirius promised to you that he would never try to visit you or check up on you until the war was finished, afraid for his safety and yours. But he had to break his promise.
When they arrived, the house seemed empty. Nothing seemed out of place until he walked into the kitchen and saw your parents on the floor, unmoving. Sirius paled as he looked up at the ceiling and saw the symbol of the Dark Lord and his followers etched upon it. He ran up the stairs, tripping over the steps and his feet, bracing himself for what he already knew.
The door to your bedroom was opened a tiny bit. It was large enough for Sirius to slide his foot in and open completely. He stood still.
Sirius could hear the rushed footsteps of his two best friends chasing after him up the stairs. When they reached the final one, they stood behind Sirius, a gasp leaving their lips. The two boys began to cry quietly.
James placed a hand on Sirius' shoulder, “I’m so sorry, Padfoot.”
Sirius knew his friends were crying. After years of living with them, he knew the tone of their voice when they cried. He learned that. He knew that he should’ve been crying too because it hurt so bad. It felt like his heart was ripped out of his body and discarded but Sirius decided that not even that would hurt as much as the image of you lying lifelessly on the floor in front of him. He couldn’t cry. He couldn’t feel anything.
He walked closer to you, ignoring the howling of the wind coming from the broken window to his left. He stepped over the items knocked down by the fight. He was walking so slowly, afraid that if he were to come any closer, it would suddenly become too real. As much as he dreaded to get too close to you, he finally did.
Sirius clenched his jaw, a rush of cold air washing over his body. He stared at your face, remembering the color of your eyes and the happiness that once occupied it. He leaned over to shut your eyelids, not wanting the gray clouds in your irises to overtake the happy memories he had saved in his mind. His eyes trailed down to your left hand that rested on your chest, black, veiny lines growing on your skin. You used it to try to block the curse from hitting your heart. Sirius stared at your unmoving, bare ring finger.
It wasn’t until Sirius looked down at your stomach did he finally fall to his knees. He sobbed over your body, still warm from the impact, with a loving hand on top of your once growing belly.

Asher goes to practice
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Finally, an actual update! I sorta combined the two of these, hope you guys don’t mind! Here’s Asher’s first time at the rink for practice! Hope you all enjoy :)
If you haven’t read the rest of the series, here is the Asher masterlist!
Edit: Coops and the SW world belongs to the always amazing @lumosinlove ✨
________________________________
It was an exciting day in the Black-Lupin household. Everyone had been awake for at least two hours, and it was only 6am.
Normally, they’d be heading to the Potters’ to drop off Asher while they were at practice. Lily kept an eye on him during their time at the rink, and Harry and Asher had become quick friends.
But today. Today, Asher got to go to the rink with his dads. They had gotten permission from Coach Weasley beforehand, and he was going to watch them from the bench. He had started walking recently, not steady steps but he was definitely on the move.
“Asher, c’mere! We gotta get your jacket on.” Remus yelled from the front door, grabbing the small jacket from the hook.
A small figure peeked through the railing at him, gripping onto the bannister. Sirius had gotten him dressed, so of course he was wearing one of his little Lion jerseys that the team had gotten him.
Glancing up the stairs, Remus watched as Asher sat on the top of the steps, slow butt-scooting his way down. As he got to the bottom, he stood carefully and looked up at his dad, “No.”
Remus sighed, holding up the jacket, “Yes.” That was another thing. Asher was starting to talk. Not full sentences, just a couple words here and there. Dad. Daddy. Okay. Please. Juice. And his favorite.
“No.” He said, even though he held out his arms for Remus. Before he could resist again, the jacket was on and zipped.
Picking Asher up, Remus rested him on his hip with his hockey bag on the other before glancing back up the stairs, “Pads, c’mon. We’re gonna be late. Don’t tell me I’ve gotta help you get zipped up too.”
A huff came from the second floor before Sirius came around the corner, “I am coming, no I don’t need help with my zipper. I can’t find my practice jersey, I thought I left it in the closet.” He muttered as he came down the stairs, grabbing his jacket.
“Didn’t you put it in your bag last night? So you wouldn’t forget it?” Remus asked as Sirius looked in his own bag.
Sirius dug through his bag before pulling the jersey out, “Got it, I got it. Knew it was there, didn’t I, mon chou?” He said, leaning in to tickle Asher under his chin. Pushing his daddy’s hands away, Asher squealed, “Daddy, no!” He shouted happily, hiding his face in Remus’s neck.
Remus couldn’t help the fond smile that spread as he watched SIrius with their son. For all the worrying Sirius had done before Asher was born, he couldn’t be a better dad. Just seeing them together made Remus’s heart swell.
“Alright let’s get moving. Coach might be okay with Asher being late, but not us.” Remus said as he led the way to the car. He got Asher buckled in his seat, and then they were off.
Sirius drove to the rink, his free hand resting on Remus’s knee, “So… you think we could get him in a pair of skates?” He asked.
Letting out a laugh, Remus shook his head, “Baby. No. He’s just starting to walk, we are not putting literal blades on his feet! Right, Ash?” He asked, glancing at Asher through the rearview mirror.
“Yes!” Asher shouted, kicking his tiny legs against the seat as they pulled into the rink.
Sirius smiled as he got out, “I’ll grab bags if you wanna grab him and his bag.” He said as he opened the trunk. Remus grabbed Asher’s bag before pulling him out of his carrier.
Asher babbled happily in Remus’s arms, as they made their way into the rink. “You ready to see all your uncles? And your grandpa?” Remus asked and his small little face lit up. The boys had all come to visit them so often and honestly they were all so incredible with him. There was nothing cuter than a bunch of big tough hockey guys playing dolls with a child.
The little family made their way to the locker room, Asher wiggling in Remus’s arms as he heard the team’s voices echoing. Sirius pushed the door open, letting them Remus and Asher go past him into the room.
Shouts of “Little Loops!” echoed across the locker room as the guys saw them come in.
Asher grinned, his cheeks flushing at all the attention, “Hi.” He drawled out in his tiny voice. He was quickly stolen from Remus’s arms by James, who spun him happily.
“Hi, little man!” James said, resting him on his hip.
Asher rested his head on James’ shoulder, “Jam.” He said with a small smile. Most words were still hard for him to say, so James became Jam. Small eyes looked around the room happily as he watched everyone get ready before his eyes fell on his favorite person.
“Le! Le Le Le!” Asher quickly reached out, making grabby hands as soon as he saw Leo. He loved all the boys on the team, but had completely latched onto Leo. The others teased him a bit, saying it was because they were so close in age.
Leo couldn’t help the grin that spread across his face as he heard the shouts for him, taking him carefully from James who gave him an indignant look, “Stealing my godson, Nutty?”
As soon as Leo had him in his arms, Asher nuzzled into his chest happily, “Le.” He hummed happily, tiny fingers gripping onto the taller boy’s practice jersey. Leo may have said he wasn’t ready for a kid but Asher really had him catching baby fever. They definitely weren’t ready though. He’d just have to steal Asher more. Maybe they could babysit?
Nodding along as Asher babbled to him, Leo carried him over to his stall, “I know, bub. It’s all so exciting.” He murmured, setting him on his lap as he waited for the rest of the team to be ready.
Finn knew that he looked smitten. He was. How could he not when one of his boys was sitting there, being all cute with a baby?
“Harzy, dude, you’re literally looking like the human embodiment of heart eyes right now. Take a breath.” Talker said with a laugh, clapping him on the shoulder as he walked past.
An offended noise came from Finn but he was cut off as Coach made his way into the locker room, “C’mon boys, it’s scrimmage day. Let’s get a move on. Knut, gimme my assistant coach.”
They all made their way out the door, Sirius holding the door as the team made their way to the ice.
Remus smiled, watching as Asher was passed to Arthur, “Coach, put him down a sec, yeah? Let him show you his new party trick. Pads, be ready just in case.”
Arthur raised an eyebrow, setting Asher down. He wobbled on unsteady legs before he saw his daddy waiting for him, and then he was off.
“Look at him go!” Arthur said with a laugh, following Asher as he toddled out, following after Sirius and the rest of the team. Remus grinned, quickly snapping a picture of Asher grabbing his dad’s hand before tucking his phone into his bag.
When they got to the bench, Arthur lifted Asher next to him as the Lions all made their way onto the ice. Asher stood carefully next to the coach as the team picked their groups for the scrimmage. His eyes were wide as he watched the team practice. He had watched his dads play in their basement many times, but nothing beat them with a whole team.
As the game went on, Arthur explained to Asher what was happening, pointing out plays as well as pointing out where his dads were, because that was a frequent question as well.
Just as they skated past the bench, Nado hit Remus into the boards and they both slid onto the ice. Asher was quickly trying to peer over the side of the boards, “Daddy? Daddy, okay? You ‘kay?” He yelled, green eyes filled with concern.
Nado chuckled softly, pulling Remus up with him, “He’s alright, Little Loops.”
Pointing a finger at him, Asher gave him a serious look, “Careful, you careful.” Sirius couldn’t help but laugh as he skated over.
“You tell him, mon chou.” He said, pressing a kiss to Asher’s head before he skated back.
They finished their scrimmage, messing around on the ice when Sirius lifted Asher over the boards, “We’ll get you some skates soon, Ash. Just gotta convince your daddy.”
Humming happily as he held onto his dad, Asher nodded, “I skate too.” He said seriously, watching Sirius’s feet as they glided across the ice. “Down. Daddy, down.”
Sirius set him down but held onto his hands, wary of the other guys on the ice as Asher wobbled onto the ice. He was trying to glide across the ice, giggling to himself, “I skate.” He whispered quietly.
Unbeknownst to them, Marlene was taking pictures from the stands. She sent them all to Remus afterwards, who posted them to his Instagram along with the picture he took earlier.
“A Lion in the making.”

Warning: Tooth-rotting fluff, Jungkook being a cutie, ok the real warning tags are Daddy kink, birthday sex, innocent reader being trained (???), lots of hicks and marking, cunt slapping, oral sex, uhh and jk being a competitive baby.
Genre: Fluff, Smut, if you squint and look closely, a little bit of humour.
Word Count: 5.6k
Pairing: Jungkook x Reader
Tumblr media
It had been a week since Jungkook had, ahem, dicked you down. And it has been the best week of your life so far – he showed you things you had never seen before, the most beautiful scenes that your eyes feasted upon. You both had gone to the Neon Valley, it was a vast blue-purple lake that lit up at night due to the minerals on the sand bed below, and the lilies residing there would dance every night.
They fluttered, swung and swayed – and simultaneously, Jungkook and you too, had danced – he took you in his arms and as you both slow danced to the humming of the diva-crackers, you couldn’t help but look at his gorgeous face, adorned with a smile that you’d never replace for anything in this universe. You could feel yourself falling for him, he twirled you with ease, and as you stumbled back into his arms, he lost his balance trying to save you from falling and splash!
You both had ended up in the hot water, and despite the current situation, you both had burst into boisterous laughter which echoed across the plain field around. In the shining moonlight, Jungkook’s face was more lit up than the neon water they were in, his long hair sprawled across his forehead, as he pushed it back with his left hand, while holding your waist with his right arm.
Jungkook looked at you with such intensity, you didn’t really know how to react. both of you knew you wanted more than just cuddles on your couch that was too small for Jungkook, more than grocery shop romances, and trekking on the artificial mountain, and more than watching movies together,, more than cuddling under the tree at the main park, more than making fun of each other, you wanted each other so much more badly.
“Kiss me,” Jungkook whispered, his face getting dangerously close.
“I’m scared,” Of course you were, but you didn’t move away from me.
“Of what?” Jungkook’s eyebrows bunched up like they always do when he’s confused.
“Of falling. Of drowning,” you answered as you looked into his eyes, how could someone not fall for him?
“Well, I’m already drowning, so don’t be scared, silly,” Jungkook’s eyes formed from his usual doe eyes to half-moon crescents and, you were no longer afraid to fall.
Because he was there, he will always be there, right beside you.
Tumblr media
Fuck. You couldn’t help but curse as you saw the red spot on your lavender sheets, they were my favorite sheets. You had really bad mood swings when you were on your period, and you were basically uncontrollable. You saw Jungkook’s figure on the left side of the bed, sleeping peacefully, his chest heaving up and down as he breathes consistently.
“Baby,” you whined, as you almost pushed him off the bed. There was no way that you were going to the pharmacy to get the goods, so he was your only choice possible.
He stumbled as he got up, sleep still swimming in his eyes, as his hands went up to rub them, trying to get rid of the slumber that had taken over him.
“Yes, princess?” he asked in his hoarse voice – which turned you on (especially a lot now, since your uterus was sad, lonely and angry). His eyes travelled to the blood on the sheets, and it would be an understatement to say that he had a heart attack.
He immediately engulfed you in his arms, “Are you hurt anywhere?” he said, unable to breathe, because fuck, if anything ever happened to you, he wouldn’t know what to do with himself.
The worry in his eyes was making you feel guilty; did he even know what was happening?
“Jungkook, chill,” you laughed a little before directing him to the side of the bed, telling him to sit.
“Humans – well, only females – have to go through a period of time where they bleed. From down there,” you explain, and watch him go into a slight state of shock.
The poor baby just woke up 2 minutes ago, so this was probably hard to digest.
“You… you’re bleeding… and you don’t go to the hospital?”
“Does it hurt?” he asks in the timidest voice ever, careful not to offend you. He remembers once he asked you about body hair and since it was your biggest insecurity (cue Middle School flashbacks when you were the only girl with a slight unibrow and mustache), you couldn’t help but lash out on him.
“Yeah, it hurts a lot in my tummy,” you said on your way to the bathroom, “I need my supplies though, could you get them for me?”
Half an hour later, Jungkook returned with five bags of chocolates, chips and snacks – enough to feed a small village. The entire week, he kept studying you (you swear you saw him looking at you and writing notes in his small notebook, like a detective. Sigh) and your mood swings and tendency to eat the weirdest food combinations – he couldn’t help but gag when he saw you dip a whole cucumber in peanut butter.
“Kookie, cuddle with me,” during the day you would make grabby hands at him, and get him to massage your back, but at night you’d be the complete opposite – wanting to sleep as far away from him as possible. He also noted that you were more sensitive to jokes during the week, so he kept them at a minimum, and his praises at a maximum.
“Baby, you know, you look so cute in my arms,” he cooed, as he kissed your cheek while cuddling. He didn’t miss the blush that crept on your cheeks either.
Also, despite all the bleeding, you were ready to jump his bones anytime. He hasn’t had this much sex with anyone in one week. Not that he minded it.
Tumblr media
You were more than ecstatic when you saw your favourite-est food in the world stocked in the human section of the grocery store. Spicy Hot Korean Ramen! You still remember when eating this used to be a challenge, back on Earth.
As you stacked the basket with half the stock, Jungkook couldn’t help but look at the ingredients – what was it that made you love them so much?
He was well, more than shocked to see all the different kinds of spices that humans could barely tolerate, chili flakes, red pepper oil, habanero flavored seasoning… he couldn’t let you eat this!
“Baby, this is too spicy for you, maybe we should buy this,” he pointed to the boring chicken and cheese flavored ramen. No! You were going to buy the spicy one and that’s finalized. Of course, Jungkook looked at you, and couldn’t argue. He doesn’t think he could argue with you even if he tried to.
Back at the apartment, Jungkook bit his tongue, trying not to say “I told you so,” as you fought your tears while eating the horrendous noodles. You were positive you could never feel your numb tongue as you chugged down the glass of strawberry milk that Jungkook handed you.
As expected, Jungkook was prepared for the stomach ache you experienced throughout the night, and gave you medicine to recover.
Before sleeping, you heard him sigh before saying, “I told you so,”
Tumblr media
Jungkook had noticed you a lot, ever since you moved in with him. You didn’t have much belongings anyways, because you were only allowed to carry 100 pounds of baggage on the space craft, so you only carried the essentials. (Yes, you brought an oven. Yes, it was 77 pounds heavy. No regrets.)
While getting accustomed to his cozy, but huge apartment, you couldn’t help but trip over furniture. At first, it was his coffee table in the kitchen, next to the refrigerator. Every time you would get something to eat, your pinky would hit the leg of the table, causing you to splutter nonsense and then cry about it.
His bed was also higher than you expected it to be, so every day, for an entire month, after waking up you would underestimate the height – and always, always fall down from it.
He was extremely shocked by your ability to ignore pain, and to continue suffering every day because of the same cause at the same place. It’s okay, because now he’d hold you as you stepped out of the bed, and moved the coffee table to the other side of the kitchen.
He also noticed that humans don’t always have a thought out sleep schedule, they did as they pleased. Last night, you were pretty much half asleep at 4 AM, as you tried to finish the last episode of the new Netflix series.
“You were so sleepy, yet you continued to watch it without even understanding what’s happening?” he asked as soon as you woke up, to which you shrugged.
Again, next week, you forced yourself to get up at 5AM in the morning, so you could go for a jog. After all, you were thinking of getting more fit, all you did was lay on the couch. But as you headed in the bathroom for a shower after the run, he couldn’t help but think that humans are weird.
The first time Jungkook heard you crunch your bones, he was so scared, you almost though he would faint. He threw his game controller on the floor, as he ran towards you – thinking you had dislocated a limb, or something.
“Kookie, I was j-just stretching,” you could barely make out the words, trying to hold in your laughter as he tried to make sure you were okay.
With a sigh, he ran his hand through his fluffy – much longer – hair now, as he headed back to continue his game, “Baby, you’re so weird,”
“But you still love me?” you asked as you joined him on the couch, laying your head on his lap.
“I will always love you. Even if your bones crack,”
Bonus: When you got up at night for a midnight snack, you were surprised to see that Kookie wasn’t in bed with you. You later found him in his office, studying about how a human’s joint makes loud popping or cracking sounds because of the gas gathered there. He was finally content to ensure that you were safe.
Of course, you smothered him in hugs and kisses, because he always looked out for you. Always.
Tumblr media
After a few weeks of being in Corellia, you had started to well… miss Earth. It was natural to do so; you’d lived your entire life there.
“I miss the sunsets, they were so pretty,” you spoke as you showed him a polaroid of you and your sister with the sunset behind you both. You pointed towards the one sun you had, and the purple, pink and orange hues of the clouds.
In an attempt to make you happy, Jungkook gave you a chocolate, they always made you happier, and he’d read somewhere something about chemicals in it making humans happier. But he was surprised to see you dancing (terribly) to a pop song, that seemed a little annoying, but he could deal with it.
The song had seemed to lighten your mood a lot, as you danced along with him happily, and as you looked at him, you felt happier. His long, wavy hair bounced as he danced with you. His eyes were smiling, and it was so pure that you laughed along. You were happy finally.
Until two weeks later, when you came across a photo of you and your high school class, trekking up a mountain on your senior trip to the north. Jungkook saw you sad again, missing Earth and your loved ones. Some were dead, some didn’t make it here, and some lived on the hotter side of the planet.
He put up the same pop song again, and cuddled with you on the couch. For the first time ever, you really felt grateful to God for something. You felt grateful that you were alive, and that you had Jungkook along with you. He looked how he looked every day, wearing a casual white t-shirt and grey baggy sweatpants. You adjusted yourself on his lap, and looked at him, and looked into his brown eyes. As you traced his face with your finger, he laughed, “Princess, do you feel better?”
You smile at the word of endearment, kissing his cheek, “You make me realize the difference between a house and a home. A house is a place, made with bricks and concrete, and materialistic items. But a home, is so much different. A home is where you feel belonged, a home is a place where you get that feeling of love. You make me finally realize how Earth was more of a house for me, but here, in your arms, I finally feel like I’m at home,”
Tumblr media
You never thought Jungkook would be an overprotective boyfriend. Or a way too over protective boyfriend. During sex, he would go crazy on your body – sometimes treat you like a china doll, fragile and easily breakable, and sometimes it would be rough and harsh, not that you minded it.
His apartment was well, more suited for Jubal people because the ceilings, the bed, and of course, the kitchen cabinets were all bigger in height and size in comparison to your apartments back on Earth. Often, without thinking Jungkook would put food on the top most cabinets, and you often either felt too embarrassed, or too stubborn to ask for his help.
Which resulted in you – dangerously – climbing on the shelf to grab your precious food. This was a routine now, so you didn’t exactly pay attention to your limbs – just letting your muscle memory do the work for you. Right foot on the counter, and then you push your left knee as well, until you’ve made yourself stable on the counter top. Then, you stand up, holding the cabinet handle. Today was the same, but Jungkook had recently scrubbed clean the shelves, so they were more slippery than usual, and there was a fleeting moment when you thought you were about to fall (which would, by the way, give you the nastiest head injury), and before you realized it, Jungkook had looped his arm around your waist.
You were still shocked – chips in hand – when he settled you on his lap, almost like a child.
“Princess, what were you thinking?” he says as he lets you turn around, so you straddling his lap.
“I just wanted some chips, Kook,” you say with an amused grin. He was obviously distressed, as he sighed while running his hands through his hair, like he would when he was frustrated.
“Baby, you have to tell me if you need something from there, okay? What if you had hurt yourself?” his voice seemed to get louder with every words, and just like that, your amused grin was replaced with a pout, as you lowered your head.
You didn’t mean to make him angry like that.
Looking at you, he knew he couldn’t ever stay mad at you. It was physically impossible for him. He hugged you, and your head rested on his cheat, feeling his fast heartbeat morphed into a more, stable and steady beat, “I’m just always worried for you. Even if everything is wrong, it’s alright, you’re the only good thing in my life,”
Tumblr media
It had been ages since you had gone to a festival, and there was going to be a carnival-like festival in Corellia soon. You didn’t think Jungkook would be that interested, so you were quite surprised to see him… so excited about it.
“It comes twice in a year, you have to come! I’ve heard they’ve made it more human themed this year, so you feel welcomed, but we’ll have our traditional rides too!” he spoke with a gleam in his eyes, as you both got ready.
Jungkook of course, made sure you were wearing at least five layers of clothes, two pairs of gloved, and three pairs of socks. It was night time, and he couldn’t help but chuckle at the sight of you looking like a walking marshmallow.
“Baby, you look so cute!” he exclaimed, holding your hand. The dead town looked really alive tonight, as the red, yellow, purple and other multicolored lights lit the place up, to make it feel even more alive. You were really shocked at the amount of people present, but that’s what made it even more fun.
The first thing had to be food, you got two plates of fries, because, well, is it even possible or human to share food? And that too, fries? No way.
Jungkook had recently discovered ketchup, and now he would dip everything in it before eating. Ramen, dipped in ketchup. Chips, dipped in ketchup. Bread, dipped in ketchup. And now, you saw him cover every single chip in ketchup before eating it. While you thought this was disgusting, you were still amused by his new found love for it.
You both scared a giant cup of strawberry milkshake, that looked like it was out of a romcom, cotton candy pink color, with whipped cream on top. And naturally, the cherry. Your noses touched, as you both drank at the same time, and you couldn’t help but want to live in the moment forever.
You both had spent the night, either enjoying rides that were too scary, and hazardous to experience but at the same time too fun to miss out on, or competition with each other to the next level. You knew Jungkook had always been a competitive little shit, whether it was about who would cook better and faster, or about who loved the other one more, he was always in a competition. This was no exception either, as you both we immersed in a car racing game, where you were well, obviously losing.
You had never really been the best at arcade games, and this car games was extremely frustrating, because the goddamn seat was too big and your legs could barely reach the pedals on the bottom while holding onto the steering wheel simultaneously. He laughed as you struggled to multitask, and at one point you didn’t realise you were going the wrong way until you heard Jungkook laughing so hard, he was struggling to breath. Three tries later, Jungkook had had his fair share of victories as he put you in his lap, and told you to focus on the steering only. He’d handle the pedals part. Together, you guys had broken the fastest record of the day and of course, he had to congratulate you. And the congratulations came in a form of a heated kiss – which wasn’t liked by the Jubals waiting in line to play the game.
Later, you both had way too much fun beating others in basketball as you paired up, and beat a Jubal power couple. Then came the bumper cars. The same Jubal power couple had hit your and Jungkook’s car so hard that you almost flew across the set-up, if it wasn’t for the seatbelt, and Jungkook’s arm around the waist. It was safe to say that Kook took his revenge by hitting their car repeatedly, as he shoved them into a corner. You kissed your over protective boyfriend on the cheek, he was just so fricking cute.
You both ate more food than you could handle, and as you were walking, Jungkook bought a donut and tried to feed you.
“No! No, Kook, I swear!” you tried to get away from him, but he held your waist as he pushed the donut in your mouth, smearing it over your cheek in the process.
“Kook!” you exclaimed, as he kissed you, and licked away any leftover icing.
You couldn’t help but blush when he smirked, “Sweet.”
At the end of it all, you pushed Kook into a small photo booth that sat on the other end of the carnival.
“Please? Come on!” you tried to show him your puppy eyes, and turned your lips into a pout.
“But baby, I don’t look good in photos!” he whined as you inserted the money to take a four portrait photo.
“Please? Just this once? For me?” you pouted again, and pushed him in with you, and you tried to drag his arms.
“You can’t give me the puppy dog face! You know I can’t say no to that!” he whined, adjusting you in his lap.
“Just pose, Kookie,” you said as you closed the red curtain on the side. In the first one, your arms were around his neck as you laughed and looked in the camera, and he looked at you, pouting. The second one, you both looked at each other and smiled, his hands in your hair. The third had been him grabbing your face, squishing you cheeks and bringing you closer (but because of the movement – it was also blurred, at which you were disappointed, but Kook assured you it looked good), and lastly, in the fourth one, you were kissing passionately, while Jungkook smiled in the kiss.
You both climb the small hill, where people are buying and lighting their lanterns in an orderly manner. You both buy one, and you end up writing “JK X Y/N” on it with red paint, and before Jungkook lights it, he adds a red heart, and “4EVER,” underneath which looks so cheesy, that it makes you laugh.
He looks at you, and kisses your forehead. Around 10:30, everyone lets go of their lanterns, and you both also let go of yours, letting it fly in the sky, as Jungkook cups your cheeks and pushes your hair back, before kissing you, sweet and slow.
The night had come to an end as all the Jubals were leaving too. You didn’t know exactly what time it was, but it was definitely i-can’t-walk-o’ clock, as Jungkook gave you a piggy back ride without any questions when he saw you stumbled into others. In one hand you held the teddy bear he had won from the water gun thingy, and in the other you held a cotton candy like sweet – but it wasn’t exactly cotton candy. It was blue and purple, and shined because of the crystallized sugar on it.
The last thing you remember was resting your face where his shoulder and neck met and mumbling, “This was the best day of my life,”
Tumblr media
If someone had told you that you’d have a cook off with an alien in two months’ time, you would’ve laughed in their face. But. Here you were. Trying to cook the best alfredo pasta he would ever taste in his life.
You tried to glance on his cooking station multiple times, only to be pushed back, “Baby! It’s supposed to be a surprise!”
Jungkook really seemed to be absorbed in the cooking process, and you were starting to feel deprived of his love and adoration that he would usually shower at you when he was not working in his office.
30 minutes later, he brought you his favourite dish, the one that his mother used to cook for him when he was younger. It was orange red-ish coloured deep fried small cutlets, that smelled… amazing. You couldn’t exactly pinpoint what it tasted like, it was salty, but in a different way. And so, so, yummy. You were a little insecure when Jungkook took a bite of your pasta, and showed no emotion.
Oh no, you had tasted it and it felt pretty normal, juts how you’d make it on Earth. Was he allergic to something in it?
“Baby, what did you put in this?” he asked, but he didn’t seem to stop eating it. He didn’t speak anything until, well, he finished the dish.
“Can you make that for me every day?”

It had been over six months, since you and Jungkook had been seeing each other. Naturally, as a couple you both did fight – mostly over stupid stuff, like which restaurant to go to, or disagreements on what to buy etc. But you both would always sort it out, no matter what it was, he was always by your side.
It was his birthday, and Jubals never really celebrated their birthday – “Why would you celebrate this? I’m just one more year near death,” he said as you told him about ‘Earth Traditions’.
Albeit to whatever he said, you made yourself busy when he went out to meet the gang. You’d met them a couple of times before, being much closer to Taehyung because he never really questioned whatever you did, and just went along with it. You had enjoyed Jimin and Jin’s company as well (mostly because they cooked for you, not gonna lie).
As you hung up the balloons that said, “Happy Birthday!” individually, you had started to well, decorate yourself as well.
You knew how Jungkook always looked at you as if you were the most pure creature in this universe, his innocent little baby, so you decided to dress the part. Dressed in white panties, with a small bow on them, you adjusted your pink tinted, bra that came along with it. It left little to the imagination, as it was see-through, but there were small bows on each nipple, making you look like a present. You’d never really been the one to dress up in stockings as well, but here you were, tweaking your garter, as the pink shaded white see-through material latched on your legs as a second skin. Now, you waited patiently.
He finally came, around half past seven, and looked better than ever. You’d worn your silk robe that you would usually wear around, so he wouldn’t suspect anything. He looked so happy, his eyes crunched up into its usual crescent shape as he laughed while blowing the candles and eating your home-made cake. He had always loved your baking, so when you made his favourite Oreo cake, he was really, really happy. You’d made him a teddy bear – you were bad at sewing, but hey! A for effort.
“Kook, there’s a present in your bedroom too,” you said as you took his left hand and guided him in the bedroom. You had given him several gifts already, so why were you giving him another one?
“Baby, you didn’t have t-“ he stopped as soon as you dropped your robe in front of him, letting him take in the sight of you, clad in your lingerie that he had only imagined in his wildest fantasies.
The light hearted aura around him seemed to vanish, as a darker shade took over his eyes. Without speaking anything, he carried you bridal style, to the bed and laid you down softly on it.
“Gonna let me taint you, angel?” he asked, and at the sight of him, you couldn’t help but moan and nod.
“Use your words, baby,” he said as he let his fingers roam on your figure, and lit a fire in your core, making you overwhelmed.
“Yes, Daddy, please make love to me,” you whine, but he tsks on your choice of words.
“Angel, my princess,” he says as he leaves a trail of wet kisses from your neck to you collarbone, sucking on it, “I’m not going to love to you today, I’m going to fuck you, baby”
You gasp as he circles around the bow on your nipple, before ripping the thin material completely, letting the cool air hit your vulnerable skin.
As Jungkook just keeps looking at you, his long hair shadowing in front of his eyes, you can’t help but feel needy, “Daddy, please, touch me,” you whine, trying to get ahold of his hand.
He gently brings his mouth down, sucking on the little tip of your nipple, as his tongue works magic around it, and you’re already starting to get wet.
“It’s u-unfair that you’re all d-dressed up,” you moan, as you try to take off his white t-shirt. He chuckles as he takes off his shirt, letting you look at his god-like body. You were speechless when you first saw him, and you still are every time you both have sex.
His lean body, is just perfect in every way, and the way the moonlight hits his face, giving his face the shadows that come along with the highlights, you were dumbstruck at how breathtaking he was.
While Jungkook loved to mark you, mark your body, make you his, today was harsher, much more aggressive as he bit your chest, making you cry out in pleasure. He painted your body in hues of purple and bright pink, using his tongue to make each bruise feel better. As soon as he reached the hem of your underwear, he stopped, and that resulting in a whine from you.
“It’s my birthday, and you said I deserve anything on this day. So, princess,” he said, unbuckling his belt, and you swallow hard before he lets his cock free, ”let me fuck those beautiful tits,”
He pushes himself into your mouth without any warning, letting you groan and whimper as you produce enough saliva to make him sopping wet, “Good baby,” he whispers as he lets his dick between your tits.
You smiled, as you held your breasts together, and he slides his hardening member between them, “fuck baby, you’re so soft, so pretty for Daddy,” he murmurs obscene praises as you whimper in pleasure from the friction between your breasts.
He places his cock between them, and first experiments with his movements, and as time passes, he becomes faster, and messier. You both didn’t mind the mess, as his pre-cum lands on your chest, collarbone and nipples, and you can only whine in pleasure while letting him use your body.
His movements go from steady and fast to uncoordinated and stuttering, as he pulls out and pants, letting him catch his breath.
“Fuck, baby, they felt like heaven, but there’s something else, way better,” he grins as pulls himself down on your body, and looks as you underwear, directly. It makes you whimper, when you feel his hot breath through the thin material. He laps his tongue on it, and it feels so good, but not good enough, and you wish he would just take it off.
“Daddy, please, take it off,” you whine and he pulls your legs further apart and digs his face between them.
He smirks and looks at you, already fucked out as a blush stays on your cheeks. Angelic.
“Keep the stockings on, okay, sweetheart?” he says as his finger traced down your leg, as you shiver under his touch.
He comes up to you and cups your face, pressing a kiss against your cheek – and it felt so chaste in comparison to what you both had just done.
And before you could realize, he slips his fingers under the hem of your panties, and shreds them into pieces.
“What do you want from Daddy?” he stops in front of your clit, spreading your lips, waiting for your answer. He knew you were shy, too shy to speak vulgar words, but you were just so needy right now.
“Daddy, I need your tongue,” you speak, and let his tongue sit flat on your bud, it gave enough stimulation, but at the same time not enough, and you just needed more. You couldn’t help but buckle your hips into his face, and that resulted in his getting up and looking at you, making eye contact.
“You’re being ungrateful now, huh?” he says as he smacks the bud hard, where seconds ago he let his tongue rest. It’s painful, but at the same time, it just feels so, so good. He smacks it two more times before letting his teeth sink in your inner thigh, as you let lewd noises escape your mouth, as he further marks your thighs, and you knew, for sure that they would last a long time.
After a lifetime of teasing, he lets his tongue slurp the cum that escaped your pussy, as he went to town on it, eating you out as if he’s been starving for years. You let your moans escape as he slips his tongue inside you, and lets his nose rub against your clit. You were so close, just about to fall off the edge as he pulls himself away, and you whimper, grabbing the sheets as if your life depended on them.
“Your cunt is always, always so pretty and tasty for Daddy,” he smacks between your thighs again, making you gasp, “always ready for Daddy,”
His ruffled, brown hair shines in the dark of the room, the moonlight being the only source of light, illuminating his face.
He lets his dick enter you, gently, until you reach your limit and instead of waiting like he always does, he rams back into you again, letting you adjust with his steady movements, as you grab his hand and hold it. He always holds your hand when he’s being rough, to let you know that he can stop anytime. (but u is a hoe)
He slides out until only his tip is inside you, and lets himself into you all at once, fast and reckless. Wild. It isn’t long before your walls clench around him, “Daddy, I-I’m so close,” you say as your rub you clit, slowly with a continual movement.
You orgasm starts first, hot and sticky liquid, dripping down you thigh, staining your perfect stockings, and soon Jungkook follows, as his head buries in your neck, and he groans before letting himself loose.
“Happy Birthday, Kookie,” you whisper before letting him take you to the tub, where you both well, fuck again.

Happy Birthday Remus!!
This fic is written by me and the brilliant dani! @unadulteratedpaperparadise. she'll probably say we both did the same amount, but without her there wouldn't have been a remus birthday fic today, so give her all the love! she deserves it.
Characters by @lumosinlove
“I don’t know about this…” Remus said questioningly.
“C’mon, Re,” Sirius pleaded. “It’ll be fun, I promise.” He punctuated his sentence with a kiss to Remus’ ear.
Remus sighed, “Fine. One time and if I hate it, I get to do yours.”
Sirius' eyes lit up and he actually bounced a bit on his toes. “Hell yes, Re! You’ll look even better than you usually do.”
A blush crept up on his face and he couldn’t keep the smile from his lips. “So?”, he asked, looking expectantly at his boyfriend.
“Ooh, okay. Sit down”, Sirius barely hid his smile as he turned around to get the makeup from where he’d put it.
“Okay, baby,” Remus laughed as he sat down. “You’re really excited about this, huh?”
“Yeah, I mean I just think you’ll look hot,” Sirius said. “I mean, you always look hot but-”
“Relax, I know what you meant,” His infectious chuckle continued.
“Okay. Can I start? Are you ready to become even more beautiful?”, Sirius was smiling over both cheeks now as he picked up a brush and some kind of container.
“Stop it,” Remus blushed a little every time Sirius paid him a compliment, even after all this time.
His smile turned into a grin and he was sure Remus knew what he had gotten himself into. “What? I can’t tell my gorgeous, brilliant, wickedly hot boyfriend that he is the light of my life and the best person on earth? Now what’s the fun in that?”, he leaned down and kissed Remus’ cheeks, where his blush had darkened to a deep red.
Remus hid his face in his hands, willing the blush to go away. He stared up into those beautiful blue eyes and suddenly it didn’t matter if he was blushing; it didn’t matter if he was at the bottom of the Mariana Trench or the top of Mount Everest, he would look up into those eyes. Those eyes that looked at him like he was worth something… worth everything.
Sirius’ smile softened, “You’re perfect.”, he paused and just looked at the other for what felt like an eternity, “Okay. Makeup!”
Sirius pulled out the makeup bag that Lily had prepared for him. It was reflective, proclaiming “Find yourself and be that!” Sirius smiled at the wording, knowing that now he had found himself and that he was, in fact, being that.
He got out a sparkly eyeshadow and a big fluffy brush and then stopped looking a bit sheepish, “What do I start with?”
“From the one makeup video I’ve ever watched, I think you start with foundation?” Remus guessed, shrugging.
“Ah. Yes, of course,” he went looking through the bag again mumbling to himself, “Foundation. Yeah, I know what that looks like, I’ll just-”
“Glass bottle.”
“I knew that, but thank you. Foundation.”, he said as he held up the bottle in victory, accompanied with a sponge in the other hand.
“I think you gotta wet the sponge first,” Remus supplied helpfully (?). “I mean, I think.”
“You’re awfully knowledgable for someone who’s only watched one makeup tutorial, huh?” Sirius smirked as he splashed a little foundation onto the back of his hand.
“Maybe I watch the occasional beauty guru,” Remus conceded. “Maybe I watch beauty ASMR videos and if I do, it’s my business and mine alone.” He huffed out, a little embarrassed.
“You are adorable.”, Sirius placed a lingering kiss onto Remus' forehead, “And now, foundation!” The black-haired boy carefully soaked the sponge into the liquid and dabbed it onto his boyfriend's cheeks. “Is this right, Mr. Makeup ASMR?”, he asked Remus in a teasing tone covering his face slowly in the light beige Lily had brought them.
“Yes,” Remus gritted through his teeth playfully.
“Awww, you look like an angry little puppy when you do that,” Sirius cooed whilst continuing his ministrations. “Don’t pout, it’s bad for the makeup.” Remus’ eye twitched in mock-irritation.
Remus sighed once the other was satisfied with his work. “Concealer is next. So please, make these under eye bags disappear.”
Sirius acted annoyed, but he knew Remus could see, he was glad for the instructions. “I love them, though. They’re part of you. You work too hard, that’s what they show.”
“This is makeup. It’s reversible.”, Remus smiled. He had never liked his eyebags, which had always kind of just been there, but it made him warm up to hear Sirius did.
“Fine.” a pout on his lips, the taller man covered the skin under Remus’ eyes with a lighter shade, watching the light purple disappear.
“So pretty, baby,” Sirius said lovingly as he patted the product into his boyfriend’s delicate skin.
“Hey, that’s my line,” Remus reached out to hold Sirius’ left hand, which was resting lightly on his cheek to give him stability when applying the makeup. He gently tugged it away from his own cheek to place a kiss in between his boy’s knuckles. “You’re so soft here. I thought your skin would be rough.” He flipped Sirius’ hand over in his his, analyzing every nook and cranny, crevice and callous.
“Why would my knuckles-” Sirius’ affection for the man before him killed the query on his lips. His eyes fluttered down briefly then, softly, met Remus’. “I like being soft with you.”
“I like all of you, baby. Smooth sides and rough edges,” Remus said, still absently playing with Sirius’ hand.
“Even after all these years, you still always know what to say to me,” Sirius said, staring deeply into Remus’ light amber eyes.
“I still don’t think that’s true,” Remus huffed a quick laugh.
“I’ll be the judge of that,” Sirius pulled away slightly to pick up a small pot of blush.
He used a large fluffy brush to pick up a little bit of the bright pink product and leaned back over to his lover.
“Light, upward strokes,” Sirius spoke softly, intently focused on the application of the blush.
“Huh, never knew you to be one for light strokes,” Remus joked.
Sirius couldn’t help the smile, but chose to wash over the comment, instead applying the pink power onto his boyfriend’s cheeks. “You look so cute! Like you’re blushing.”, he said, once he was done, looking at Remus.
“If that’s what it looks like you might have added too much.”, he laughed, ignoring the actual blush that spread under the makeup across his cheeks. As Sirius just kept staring at him,his face felt hotter. Remus took a deep breath, “Come on. Want to do something with my eyes?”
The black haired shook out of his trans, “Yes, yeah, of course. This is the most important part. You’re going to love it.”
“You promised that for the rest aswell.”
Sirius turned around, the smallest amount of actual hurt on his face mixed with a load of cockyness. “What? You don’t love your look so far?”
“No, I adore it. I look fantastic.” Remus answered, his voice dripping in irony.
The other smiled and then dropped a kiss onto his nose, “You always do.”
“So we’re done?”
“You’re not getting out of this, love,” Sirius came back with a whole palette of colors, ranging from deep purples to sparkly golds. He struggled to open it and after a while wordlessly held it out to Remus.
He smiled, but opened it for his lover and returned it.
Sirius sprinkled a light layer of sparkly gold over Remus’ eyelid. He added a burgundy to the crease, accentuating the shape of his eye with classic Lions colors. He added a couple swipes of mascara.
“I’m not fucking around with eyeliner,” Sirius laughed. “I feel like I could do some real damage with that stuff and I do not want to go to the ER today. Or anyday. No ER for you, my sweetheart.”
Remus joined in with his boyfriend’s laughter. “Yeah. Imagine having to explain that.”
“I accidentally stabbed my love blind with eyeliner,”
“Sounds about right,” Remus chuckled. “That would definitely happen to us.”
Sirius made grabby hands at Remus’ sweater paws and reached out to pull him up and out of the chair he was sitting in, spinning him around slowly to face the mirror.
“I look…” Remus trailed off. Sirius came up behind him and snaked his arms around his waist.
“Pretty. You look so pretty, sweetheart,” Sirius cooed sweetly.
“Yeah,” Remus whispered, vaguely aghast. “I look pretty.”
“Let’s go take some pictures, pretty boy,” Sirius swatted at Remus’ ass playfully. Remus cracked up, tilting over the hips just laughing so hard.
“Let’s go, baby,” and with that, Remus placed a sweet kiss on Sirius’ lips and took his hand, leading them downstairs for a mini photoshoot.

Henry had called his family and yours to let them know you were in labor, as he drove you to the hospital.
When you were admitted and shown to your room, Henry helped you undress and get into the hospital gown. You sat up in the hospital bed, letting the nurses put in an IV port and everything else they needed to do to make sure your labor and delivery went smooth. Your OB came in a little while later to check on you, see how you were doing and to see how dilated you were.
“It looks like you've just dilated to three centimeters.” She told you, waiting patiently for the contraction you were having to subside. “So, you're officially in active labor and it's just a matter of time until its time to push.”
“How long can that take?” Henry asked, curiously, rubbing your arm as you relaxed.
“It varies, it can be as short as three hours or as long as five. But, all mums are different, especially new ones.” She explained to him. “We'll check how dilated you are in two hours, and go from there. Do you have any other questions?”
“No.” You shook your head at her.
“Nope.” Henry smiled, squeezing your hand. “How you doing, babe?” He asked after the doctor left.
You turned your head and cracked an eye open at him, giving him a look. “What do you think, Witcher?” You asked, smirking.
“I think, you're doing really well.” He blushed, pressing your knuckles to his lips.
“Well, at least one of us does.” You chuckled, pressing your free hand to your stomach as it slowly started to firm up again. “What did your parents say?” You asked, taking deep breathes and preparing yourself for the inevitable.
“My parents, Charlie and Heather are booking a flight to come out here.” He told you, rubbing your back as you leaned forward through the pain. “Your mom and Luke are doing the same thing.”
“Cool.” You said, letting out a long breath.
Henry got up and grabbed one of the wash clothes by the sink in the room and wet it with cold water, sitting down on the edge of the bed, he gently wiped the sweat from your face, pressing the cold cloth to your forehead, the sides and the back of your neck. You smiled softly at him, you always loved how caring and attentive he could be, the amount of love and affection he showed you never creased to amaze you. Henry smiled back at you, resting his hand on your flushed cheek and leaning forward to kiss your forehead.
“Can I do or get anything for you?” He asked, setting the damp cloth aside.
“I'd kill for a cuddle.” You laughed, grinning.
“Shove over, then.” He laughed back, motioning at you with his hand.
“Are you really?” You giggled, surprised.
“You want to cuddle, we'll cuddle.” He said as you rolled onto your side and carefully laid down next to you, draping his arm over your side and gently caressed your belly.
He kissed the back of your shoulder as another contraction came, rubbing your tense stomach, shushing you as you whimpered and whined in discomfort and pain, pressing your back against his chest and grabbing at his hand, squeezing so hard you felt his joints pop and he grunted at the pain, but he didn't pull it away, you needed it more than he needed you to not break his hand. He kissed the back of your neck, when he felt your body go slack against his, wrapping his arm around your torso and hugged you back against him, curving his legs into yours, so you both laid in a near ball together. He picked up his head a few minutes later, when you started laughing.
“What's wrong?” He frowned, rather concerned that you were laughing so hard after a contraction.
“We're spooning.” You laughed, tears dripping down your face.
“Yeah, you wanted to cuddle...”
“I know, but...” You panted. “You're the big spoon, I'm the medium spoon and Lily is the little spoon.” You explained, and started laughing afresh.
Henry pressed his forehead to the back of your neck, and started laughing with you, grinning into your back. “I didn't even think of that.” He chuckled, pressing his lips to your spine.
“I've seen a lot of things.” Your OB said, walking into the room. “Spouses cuddling in bed, is one of them. But, I've never seen them laughing, while they cuddled.” She grinned, chuckling herself.
“Sorry, she made a funny observation.” Henry laughed, shaking his head and getting up.
“It's quite all right.” She assured you both, pulling on a pair of gloves. “Laughing during labor is actually very beneficial. It helps relieve tension, increases air intake and therefore increases oxygen intake, and helps give the full benefit of your endorphins, nature’s painkiller.” She explained, sitting on the edge of the bed, and started checking how dilated you were. “Five centimeters, you're half way there, y/n.” She praised you, smiling brightly.
“Thank god.” You sighed, resting your head back on your pillow.
“Just a little bit longer.” She assured you, then went to make her other rounds.
“I'm going to go get a drink, you want something?” Henry asked, standing up and patting his back pocket to make sure he had his wallet.
“Ice.” You told him.
“Just ice chips?” He made sure.
“Yes.”
“All right.” He nodded, kissing your temple and going out. “Mum!” He grinned, getting off the elevator on his way to the cafeteria.
“How is she doing, sweetie?” Henry's mom asked, hugging him.
“She's doing amazing.” He smiled, hugging her back. “She's five centimeters now, so a few more hours and the baby will be here.”
“How are you holding up?” She asked, rubbing his arms.
Henry took a deep breath, held it for a long moment and let it out, his shoulders dropping. “I'm scared shit-less, I don't know if I'm ready to be a dad. I don't even know, if I'll make a good one.” He raked his hand through his hair and looked down at his mom, reminding her of the little boy that would call her crying everyday at boarding school.
She rested her hands on his face and smiled up at him. “You are going to be an amazing father, Henry. I know you will, and so does y/n.” She assured him, kissing his cheek. “What room is she in?”
“She's in room 18C.” He told his mom, hugging his dad as he came up behind her. “Where's Charlie and Heather?” He asked.
“They're at the hotel settling the kids in, they'll be over in a bit.” His mom told him, pressing the up button for the elevator.
“All right, I'm going to get a drink and y/n some ice chips, so I'll meet you up there.” He said and went down to the cafeteria.
“Marianne!” You grinned as your mother-in-law came into your room.
“Y/n.” She smiled at you, throwing her arms around your neck and kissing your cheek. “You look glowing, love.” she told you, brushing your hair out of your face.
“That's very sweet of you.” You blushed, smiling at her.
She laughed, patting your cheek and moving out of the way so Henry's dad, Colin, could hug you next. You all talked, Marianne would hold your hand and use a cloth to wipe your face, while you had contractions, talking you through it and offered her support to you, Colin got you some water and tried to stay quiet and out of the way. Henry finally came back up to the room with his drink and your ice, he kissed your temple as he gave the ice to you. He'd been detained by Charlie and Heather arriving, they'd left the kids at the hotel with a friend to watch them. They all stayed in the room with you and Henry for a while, before the contractions got to be too much, then removed themselves to the family waiting room down the hall. A nurse came in and gave you a shot of Pethidine in thigh, to try and help with the pain, since you were refusing a epidural.
“You're doing so good, baby.” Henry encouraged you, rubbing your back and shoulders as you stood bent over your hospital bed. “I'm proud of you.”
“Easy for you to say.” You panted. “You're the one with the cock.” You told him, flexing your back and shoulders.
“I know.” He smiled, not taking anything mean you'd say personal, knowing it was just the pain and exhaustion talking, it was something he'd learned to expect from the baby books and birthing classes. “I'm still proud of you.” He told you, moving back and letting you pace the room.
“Thanks, Puppy.” You sighed, pressing your hands to your back.
Henry grinned as you held your arms out to him, wiggling your fingers for grabby hands and he crossed the room to you, letting you rest your arms on his shoulders, hands caressing the back of his hair and rested his hands on your hips, you started to sway together, like you had back home.
“How about we set the mood?” He grinned at you.
“Oh, lord.” You smirked. “Leave it to you, to wanna have sex on the maturity ward.” You teased him as he moved away.
“No.” He blushed, going into the baby bag he'd packed.
Henry pulled out a small speaker, turned it on and opened a music app on his phone, pulling up the labor playlist you and he had put together over the last few months, pressing play. You laughed, hearing Tell Me Baby, by the Red Hot Chili Peppers start to play, softly.
“Tell me, Baby, what's your story?” You smiled, singing the song to him as he rested his hands on your hips again and you put your arms and hands where they had been on his shoulders and in his hair.
“The thing we need is, never all that hard to find.” Henry sang back to you, grinning.
“Run for cover, my sense of fear is running thin. Undercover! Just like a candle in the wind, Tell everybody, tell everybody. Brothers, sisters, the ending is coming.” You sang to Henry, resting your forehead on his and closing your eyes. “Ohhhhh...We are fallen, we are fallen...Ohhhhh, We are fallen, we are fallen. Now, we're just gonna ride it out.”
You chuckled and rested your forehead on Henry's shoulder as Paul Anka's song Put Your Head On My Shoulder, started to play. Henry smiled, caressing the back of your hair and pressing his lips to your temple, shushing you as he felt the warmth of your tears drip onto the skin of his neck as a particularly hard and agonizing contraction tensed up your body.
“You're so close, Nugget.” He whispered into your ear, as you just let yourself have a moment and released all your pain, exhaustion, crankiness and just the general feeling of really being over being pregnant, in a good cry. “Two more centimeters, a bit of pushing, and it'll all be over. We'll have our beautiful daughter in our arms, and it will be worth it, I promise.” He purred, his lips brushing against the cove of your ear and wiped the tears off your face. “I love you, y/n. I am so proud of you. You're going to be an outstanding mother, because you are a phenomenal wife. None of this has been easy, the last two years, for us. Being shoved together by our parents, our first year, the divorce...”
“That lasted ten minutes.” You groaned, throat tightening.
“Still, it was hard.” He whispered, pressing his lips to your ear. “Then, you getting hurt and what happened after that. I know, this pregnancy hasn't been easy for you either. But, we got through it, Nugget. Both of us, together, as one, and we can get through this. Together.”
“As one.” You said, softly, relaxing and feeling better. “I love you, Henry. So much. You're going to be an amazing father, just like you are an incredible husband.” Henry rested his head on your shoulder and the two of you stood there at the foot of your hospital bed, resting against each other, swaying and rocking to the sound of the playlist that was still going, streaming out All of Me by John Legend. How insanely appropriate.
“Henry.” You whispered, almost soundlessly.
“Y/n.” He whispered back, rubbing his hands up and down your back.
“I have the very strong urge to push.” You told him, gulping. “You might wanna get the nurse.”
“All right, let's get you into bed then.” He said, very calmly, and guided you back to bed, making sure you were comfortable, before going to the nurse's station, to tell them you had the urge to push.
A nurse came into the room and check your cervix, finding you were now fully dilated. Things got chaotic after that, Henry rushed out to the waiting room to tell his family that you were getting ready to do the real work, then came back to you. You gripped his hand, super tight, nails digging into the top of his hand, but his focus was on you, using his other hand to mop the sweat from your face.
“You'll be all right.” He said, seeing the fear, you finally let show. “I'm right here.” He told you, gripping your hand with both of his and touch his forehead to yours.
“Don't go.” You panted, and let out a painful groan and whimpered.
“I'm not going anywhere, sweetie.” Henry smiled at you, brushing your sweat damp hair out of your flushed face, looking at you with most tender expression. “You're stuck with me.” He chuckled, starting to shake as emotion and adrenaline kicked in, it was finally hitting you both.
This was it.
In a matter of moments your sweet little girl would come into the world, and life as you both knew it, the life you and Henry screamed, fought, slipped, clawed together, shattered, redefined and created, through it all, was once again changing, for something so much more precious. It was never going to be the same. The world outside would look so different to both of you, seen through the eyes of parents wanting to protect and nurture their child, at any and all costs. This was the last puzzle piece to the picture, and the picture in a whole was so blissfully beautiful and bright.
You threw your head back, every inch of your body drawing tighter than a piano wire, and screamed, the veins in your neck showing as you did. The pain of the contractions now was unbearable and you really regretted foregoing the epidural, it was too late now to get it, too. So, you went to the next best thing, your hand trying to find out how much pressure it had to exert to break Henry's hand, which you so far hadn't achieved, thankfully, and yelling.
“Holy fuck!” You snapped as the nurse helped you bend your legs, getting into position for pushing. “You have to get her out of me, NOW!” You yelled, tearing at the sheets beneath you with your free hand. “Don't you fucking laugh at me, Henry William Cavill, or so help me God!” You threatened him, as he chuckled at you,
He didn't exactly find the situation funny, you were in agony and trying to birth his daughter. But, even being the hot mess you were right now, sweaty, flushed, crying and seriously pissed off, he still found you irresistibly gorgeous. He did find it humorous that you busted out his full name, yelling at him like he was your child, that was being naughty.
“Is this what our daughter has to expect, when she's in trouble?” He asked you, between contractions and smirking at you.
You rolled your eyes and your head in his direction, making him laugh yet again. “I swear, Henry...” You didn't get to finish the sentence as another one hit, and Henry decided to drop it.
“Are you ready to push, y/n?” Your OB asked, positioning herself between your bent and open legs.
“I was ready to fucking push; nine months, a week and three days ago.” You told her, straining against the pain and resisting the urge to push, until she told you too.
“You've been keeping count.” She said, amused and shaking her head. “Let me have a quick look, and we'll see, if you're really ready to push.”
“Fuck me!” You howled, arching your back and whining.
“Y/n.” Henry smiled, shaking his head at your choice words during the contractions. “Our daughter's first word is going to end up being, fuck.”
“Oh, fucking go to hell, you little shit!” You barked at him, purposely putting several cuss words into the sentence. “You say, fuck, more than I do.” You accused him, making murderous eye contact.
“Geralt!”
Henry instantly blushed, a huge and shy smile on his face as he dropped his chin to his chest to hide it. “More than fair.” He mumbled, still to shyly embarrassed to look you in the eye again, or any else in the room for that matter.
“All right, y/n.” The doctor cut in, smirking at your and Henry's banter.
She usually had the wife screaming at the top of their lungs about how much they hated their husband for doing this to them, or angry that they were touching them. But, she rarely saw you and Henry not touching throughout the long seven hours you'd been in the hospital, with some rather painful laboring, or arguing with each other.
Bickering, yes.
But, that's not the same thing. It rather impressed her, and part of her wished more of her patients and spouses were like you and Henry, it made her job a million times better; since she didn't have to play referee between them and goalie for the baby.
“I think, we're on time to push.” She told you, getting comfortable between your legs. “All right?”
“Yeah.” You nodded, out of breath.
“You need to calm down now.” Henry whispered to you, in a gentle voice, petting your hair and caressing the side of your face with his knuckles. “Just focus on your breathing, clear your mind as much as you can and stay relaxed, and calm.” He coached you, so focused on you, that the pupils of his blue eyes were like pin pricks. “I'll be right here with you, the whole time, you have nothing to be afraid of, or worry about, all right.”
“Minus, pushing a whole human out of my body.” You said, trying to put the humor you actually felt about it, in your voice, but failed. Luckily, Henry got the jest of what you were trying for and kissed your cheek.
“Y/n, the next time you feel the need to push, whether it's during or after a contraction, do it.” the Doctor instructed you. “When you do push, I want you to hold it for five, then relax. All right?”
“Right.” You nodded, taking deep breaths in and out.
A few moments later, the very strong urge to push happened and you did what the doctor said, pushing down and held it there as she counted. One....two....three....four....five. Then, relaxed again with your eyes rolling shut, you were so exhausted and spent, and you'd only just got to the hard part. Another urge, another push and count to five, relaxing again. You did it several times, Henry praising you from your side, the doctor encouraging you from down between your legs.
“This is the most fucked up ab workout, ever.” You groaned, relaxing after another push.
“Soon, you'll have better abs than I do.” Henry joked back, wiping a cold cloth across your face.
“You can keep them.” You snorted, grunted and starting pushing again.
“You're doing fantastic, y/n.” the Doctor smiled. “I can see her head, so she's starting to crown.”
“My Princess, already.” Henry grinned looking down, but could see anything with your gown in the way.
“You are a fucking sap.” You chuckled, shaking your head and bearing down again.
“That I am.” Henry smiled, rubbing your back through it. “I have my Queen, and now I'll have my Princess. What more could I ask for?”
“You can ask her to come out faster.” You retorted, letting out a deep breath.
“That request might be filled in the next two or three pushes.” the Doctor told you.
“Two.” You told her, stubbornly.
“Then, make them good.” She remarked, looking up at you and smirking.
“Challenge, accepted.” You smirked back, and when the next urge came, you pushed as hard as you could.
“Little bit more.”
You took deep breathes in and out, in and out, staring up at the ceiling and preparing yourself. It wasn't any different than being on the track. If you could take a nasty fall on your bike and get up, and walk it off. Then, you could give one hell of a last push and welcome your daughter into the world, asking her what took so long. Henry could see the wheels turning in your head as you laid there, waiting for the next push, and knew that that one could be the one to do it. You'd grown exhausted and highly stubborn, a combination that made you dangerous. You slowly closed your eyes, feeling the urge start to build in the base of your stomach, spread up your spine and take control of your mind. Taking a sharp breath in, tensing every muscle you could and bared down with all your strength. Then, felt the incredibly strange wet swoosh from your core, a great pressure relieved in your stomach and let out the breath you were holding and laid back down.
A moment later, the absolutely magical sound of a babying crying filled the room and you knew everything was all right in this new world, feeling Henry's lips on yours and hearing his excited voice, you dozed off for a few minutes.

Please, it won’t stay down. -One Direction
Disclaimer: I don’t own these lovely boys unfortunately.
Summary: You wake up sick in the middle of the night and the boys attempt to keep you hydrated.
Warnings: Vomiting, sickness in general.
——————————————
I woke up in the middle of the night feeling miserable.
As the sole girlfriend of a 4 person boy band, I was always pampered and loved. We bought two of the biggest beds we could find, put them together, and shared the huge bed. The order went, from left to right: Louis, Harry, me, Niall, and Liam. The oldest preferred being on the outside incase anyone needed anything or something happened, then the youngest were safe and cared for.
So, when I woke up feeling terrible, I snuggled closer into Niall’s chest and reached over to nudge Liam. Liam woke with a start and shot up, looking around. When my hand came in contact with his arm, he looked down and connected the dots, smiling down at me.
“What’s wrong love?” Liam asked, reaching over Niall to push my hair back. He yanked his hand back pretty quickly with a concerned look. “You are absolutely burning love.”
I pouted at Liam as I looked up at him, making grabby hands. “Don’t feel good Li. My tummy hurts.” I whimpered out.
Liam pouted back and gently woke Niall up. “Hey Nibear. Wake up. Y/N doesn’t feel good.”
Niall woke up and pulled me closer, kissing my forehead. As his lips touched my heated skin, his eyes shot open. “Jesus.” Niall breathed, trying to understand what was going on in his sleepy haze.
My tummy gurgled and I felt liquid making its way up my throat. My eyes went wide and I started scrambling to get up as I squeaked, “LI”
Liam was quick to lift me up and put me down so that my feet were on the floor. I sprinted to the bathroom with Liam right behind me. As soon as I crashed in front of the toilet, I said a quick thanks to whoever left the seat up as I immediately started vomiting.
Liam was quick to crash to his knees beside me and brush back my hair as he rubbed my back. “Woah. Okay. I’m right here love. It’ll be over soon, I promise.” Liam soothed.
Liam continued to be a steady presence next to me while I vomited. When it finally ended, Liam ripped off some toilet paper and wiped my face, threw the tissue in the toilet, then flushed before pulling me into his lap. We sat there as he allowed me to catch my breath. Whispers and the pattering of feet could be heard outside the door.
Seconds later, Louis came in with new pjs in his hands, which was a pair of his basketball shorts and Nialls shirt, and wet a wash cloth and filled a small cup of water before bending down next to Liam and I.
“Hey love. Niall thought you guys could use some help so he woke Harry and I. I’ve got some fresh pjs and water for you here baby girl.” Louis cooed.
I took the water and held it while Louis wiped me down. Liam helped me stand and Louis changed my pjs.
“Where are the other two?” Liam asked Louis.
“I have them getting supplies. Harry left to get some ginger ale and crackers. Niall is gathering a bucket, bottled water, tissues, and towels.” Louis listed off getting my tooth brush out and putting tooth paste on it.
I slowly brushed my teeth, careful not to trigger my gag reflex. The cooling mint was a nice change, but a tough one. Liam set to cleaning up as Louis took his place beside me, rubbing my back and watching me in the mirror. Once I was finished, I washed my mouth out and leaned heavily into Louis.
“Ready to go lay down love?” Louis asked. I was quick to nod, so he led me back to the bedroom with Liam in tow.
“Hey lovely. How are you feeling?” Niall cooed, reaching for me. I jumped into his arms and laid my head on his shoulder.
“Like poo. Cuddles?” I whispered into his ear.
He chuckled before replying,”Of course love.”
Peeking out of Nialls shoulder, I saw a towel over Liam’s pillow, a bin, and various tissues, medicines, and water bottles.
“I get to sleep in Lili’s spot?” I asked all curious, new to this situation. This was a first for all of us since moving in.
“Yep! You sure do princess! Now, who do you wanna cuddle?” Niall asked, bopping my nose.
I let out a little giggle and quietly whispered in his ear,”you.”
“Alright lads! I’ve got the girl! Liam, behind me, I’ve grown fond of your snuggles. Louis, on the outside in case we need help. And Hazza…. Wait. Where’s Haz?” Niall asked.
“Here!” Harry panted, running through the door with two bags in tow. “I got everything! Ginger ale, crackers, soup, and Gatorade!” Harry said, taking up a triumphant stance.
“Well come here you cheeky lad. Hand over the goods!” Louis said, all dramatic per usual.
Harry handed the bags to Louis and slid into bed, right in his spot. Liam switched our pillows and Louis grabbed a blue Gatorade out of one of the bags.
“Alright love. A few sips for me.” Louis said, trying to be sweet and calm.
“Noooooo. Please don’t make me try.” I wailed, hiding my face into Niall’s neck.
“Love. You have to try. Please try.” Liam added, making his puppy dog face at me. “Don’t make me go Daddy Direction on you lovely.”
I sighed and nodded. Niall situated us so that he was propped against the head board and I was propped up against him. Liam held the bin, just in case, and Louis popped open the Gatorade before handing it to me.
“Small sips.” Louis encouraged.
I took a few small sips, which turned into a few gulps as the drink started quenching my thirst. Unfortunately, the boys were not quick to notice, everyone being half asleep and all. Niall was the first to catch on.
“Woah there. Stop. You are going to make yourself sick again” Niall chided, pulling the drink away.
I pouted, but immediately felt the error of my ways. I scrambled for Liam and he was quick to hand over the bin. Louis took the drink from Niall so that Niall could steady me. All of the liquid that I had ingested came right back up. Harry scrambled to the bathroom for a wet cloth, Liam held the bucket, Niall held me, and Louis grabbed some tissues and held my hand. By the time I finished this round, I was sobbing and hyperventilating.
“Princess. Shhhh shhhh. It’s over. Breathe with me.” Niall encouraged. He put his hand on my chest and helped guide my breathing. Louis took the bin to wash it out, Liam kept track of my pulse on my right wrist, and Harry came back with the cloth and wiped me down again.
“Hey angel. You okay?” Harry asked, his voice deep and slow from sleep.
“Nooo. I don’t feel good Hazza!” I wailed, turning back into Niall’s neck.
“I know angel. I’m sorry.” Harry said, rubbing the back of my neck with the cloth.
“Hey love. You need to take a few more sips.” Liam said, rubbing my upper thigh.
“It won’t stay down. Please don’t make me try again LiLi.” I whimpered out, shooting him my own puppy dog face and sniffled.
“Okay. Fine. Not right now.” Liam considered pushing it, but couldn’t resist my sad face. “But later.”
I huffed and turned fully into Niall, pulling him down with me to lay down and snuggle.
“Fine. But sleep and Ni cuddles first.” I demanded.
All the boys chuckled, including Louis who returned just in time, and climbed into bed, following my lead.
“Fine. But wake us if you need to.” Liam said, leaning over to plant a kiss on my forehead.
“Mhmm.” Was the last thing I said before drifting off in Niall’s arms.

always (part ten) | harry holland series
summary: 3 years later and things are looking perfect for you and harry. you’re engaged with a whole new surprise on the way to add to your family.
word count - 4.6k
warnings - language, mentions of giving birth
The day of your wedding felt like it was creeping up on you unexpectedly, even if it was still many months away. It still felt like yesterday that Harry was proposing to you in your bedroom in front of your daughter. Part of you couldn’t believe it had already been five months.
You had come home from spending some much needed time with friends at a local pub, to find your flat dark, and from the eerie silence, what you assumed to be empty. Confusion ran through you, Harry didn’t tell you he was taking Lily anywhere so you had expected them to be there when you got back.
“Harry?” you called, hoping to gain some form of an answer from your boyfriend, or even your daughter. You heard little footsteps running down the hall, a sudden flash of brightness lighting the room and taking you off guard as she stretched to turn on the light.
“Hi Lily, where’s your dad?” you asked, bending down to brush some curly hair from her face. She just giggled, taking your hand and pulling you in the direction of your bedroom. You followed her questionably, not having any idea what your menacing daughter was up to.
Gently, she pushed open the door to your room, leaving you to find your love standing there nervously, playing with the strings on his hoodie.
“Is there a pyjama party no one told me about?” you joked, motioning to Harry’s sleep wear and then your daughter’s adorable dumbo pyjamas. Which you could recall being her favourite.
Harry laughed, shaking his head and taking your hands in his. He placed a greeting kiss on your knuckles, ignoring the noise of disgust that Lily made.
“I actually wanted to talk about something.” Your heart dropped, your mind automatically thinking you’d done something to upset him.
“Did I do something, I’m sorry if-“ he shook his head, squeezing your hands reassuringly.
“You didn’t do anything, you’re perfect.” You tried to ignore the feeling of heat in your body at the compliment, choosing to let Harry’s comment pass and let him continue talking.
“Well, here goes nothing,” he mumbled. You watched with wide eyes as he bent down on one knee, a nervous grin on his face as he glanced at Lily. She gave him a thumbs up, one which made you giggle.
Harry delved into a heartwarming speech about the memories you’d shared together, being best friends and then more. He told you about the time when he knew he was in love, and it turns out it was years before your relationship even became a possibility.
“I also just, I want to thank you for giving me Lily, and letting me love her like she’s my own.” Tears were streaming down your cheeks at this point, only threatening to do the same to Harry. He finally pulled out the ring box, Lily squealing excitedly from the side.
“Y/N, will you marry me?” he asked, looking at you with those same big brown eyes you’d fallen in love with a long time ago.
“Yes, yes, of course I will.” The ring was slipped onto your finger and you couldn’t help your sudden urge to kiss your new fiancé. Your lips moulded together with his, Lily trying to pull you both apart so she didn’t have to see that.
The rest of the night after that was spent with the three of you watching Disney films in your bed, Harry’s lips basically refusing to leave your head.
You smiled at the thought, your thumb subconsciously running over the beautiful engagement ring, while your eyes took your time to look at the dress in the mirror. Your nose scrunched up in dislike, already having decided this wasn’t the one for you.
“You okay in there Y/N?” your mum asked. You opened the door, taking her hand to help guide you into the middle of the room without falling over the trail of the dress. You noticed them try to pretend as if they liked it, complimenting random details just to make you happy. Frowning, you shook your head at them.
“I hate it.” The two women let out relieved sighs and finally gave you their honest opinions. You were close to tears, you didn’t think you were ever going to find the perfect one at this rate, and with some more recent uncontrollable emotions you’d been having, you were all over the place about it.
You finally got to take a moment for yourself when Tom entered the shop with your angel on his hip, her happy smile widening when she saw her mum.
She almost leaped out of her uncle’s arms, running to you and pretty much demanding that you pick her up. You giggled, cradling her against your chest as she buried her head in your neck. You asked for her opinion on the gown, knowing that the three year old would be brutally honest, which she was.
“I hate it,” she said, pulling a face that made you crack up. Nikki announced the idea of a break, one that you felt you both needed and deserved after this mess.
The break was taken up by small talk between the four adults among you, the little girl slowly falling asleep in your arms until she was out completely, almost drooling on your shoulder.
Sadly you had to hand her over to someone else, letting her sleep on Tom’s lap in one of the uncomfortable chairs as you took the dress off.
You ended up being at the dress shop for hours, and you still hadn’t found the right one. The women- and Tom, suggested you go home and then try somewhere else tomorrow, but you insisted on trying one last dress, just in case.
You were staring at how it looked, slightly mesmerized by the flowy, princess like gown draped across your body. Snapping you out of your daze, was a soft knock on the dressing room door, your quiet come in barely being heard through the wood.
“Hey, you seemed to be taking a while, so I came to check on you,” he said. “and I brought you something,” opening the door to the dressing room to let your little monster run in. Your heart swelled, bending down to scoop her up into your arms. You gave her some kisses on her head, letting her back down onto her feet so she could get a better look at your dress, this one she liked much more.
“Hello my gorgeous girl.” The girl’s grin was wide, looking at your dress in awe, “Did you have a good nap?”
She nodded her head, not even really listening to what you were saying, reaching forward to gently touch the material of your dress.
“You look like a princess.” You smiled at her, bending down to her height. You lifted your hand and placed it on the back of her head, trying to tame her wild bedhead. You thanked her quietly, mumbling something about how she’d also get to look like a princess when the day came. Grinning, she told you she couldn’t wait.
“You look incredible Y/N.”
Tom’s arms wrapped around you in a brotherly hug, showering you with a few more compliments. Glancing at the time, you knew Harry was meant to be here any minute. You’d all planned on going to a celebratory dinner after you found your dress, and up until now you weren’t sure there was any point.
“Alright, let’s show them,” you said, motioning to the door. Lily took Tom’s large hand, wanting to walk with him back to the main area.
Just as you opened it, you noticed your sneaky fiancé standing in the room. A shocked gasp escaped you and you quickly pulled it shut so he couldn’t notice your dress.
“What’s wrong?” Tom asked, trying to look around you.
“Harry’s here, he can’t see my dress,” you panicked, looking at Tom for some kind of help.
Tom rolled his eyes, shooing you away from the door. He whispered something to Lily, assuming he was using her as part of his plan.
“Are you using my daughter as a distraction?” you asked. Tom grinned nervously and ushered her out of the door, waving goodbye to you without another word. You laughed, shaking your head at the immature man.
“Daddy!” she yelled, running towards the curly haired man standing with his mum and your mum. Harry turned his head, grinning at the little girl. Harry’s heart still fluttered everytime she called him that, just like the first time it happened, right after her first birthday.
Ever since Lily had learned how to say the word no, she’d been using it as much as she could. When you told her something she didn’t like, no. When you asked her to put her toys away, no.
Even if you tried to put her to bed when she didn’t want to, all you’d receive was a stubborn no in response.
You were currently trying to get her off the couch and upstairs, where you’d simply bathe her, change her and then put her in her crib for the night. However that was not what she wanted to do.
“Come on angel, need to get you ready for bed.” This was already your fourth attempt, but the girl just kept shaking her head and making it impossible for you to pick her up, flailing her limbs around awkwardly.
“Is everything okay in here?” You turned your head to your boyfriend and pouted, explaining the problem and then turning back to the baby expectantly. Lily gazed up at Harry with a lazy smile, you were glad that she still adored him as much as she did when she was first held by him.
You tried again, showing Harry the struggle you were having with her. Her gaze wasn’t even focused on you, but rather over your shoulder at the curly headed man smiling at her.
“No,” she whined, “Daddy.”
Your eyes widened, cheeks growing a deep red as you nervously glanced at Harry. He seemed frozen in his place, staring down at her as she made grabby hands.
She got more and more agitated when Harry didn’t make a move to pick her up, her face scrunching up in distress. “Daddy,” she tried again. A sense of stress in her tone.
She let out a cry, causing Harry to jump into action. He carefully picked her up, cradling her to his chest. Beginning to rock her in order to calm her dad, shushing her quietly too.
“You’re okay,” he whispered, glancing up at you nervously, “Daddy’s here.”
You let out a sigh of relief with a grin, happy that she didn’t make him uncomfortable and manage to scare him away.
“Come on, let’s let mummy have a break and i’ll put you to bed.”
You thanked him silently, watching the two head down the hall. Your heart was still beating faster than normal, and you were unable to remove the grin from your mouth.
When Harry came back he was still utterly shocked at what he’d heard, taking a seat beside you and pulling you into his arms.
“Did that really just happen?” he asked. You nodded your head, burying your face in his chest with a happy laugh.
“Congrats dad.” Harry could feel himself tearing up, unable to wipe the grin from his face due to the utter happiness he felt.
“Hi precious.” He lifted her up onto his hip, kissing her cheek. The two mothers watched him interact with the girl with warm hearts. Even if she wasn’t biologically his, Harry was more than happy to treat her as his own. He’d loved the girl from the second he learned about your pregnancy, and nothing had changed.
“How does mummy look?” he whispered, trying to keep his volume to a minimum so his own mum wouldn’t scold him for trying to get the girl to say anything about the dress.
“She looks beautiful.”
“Even more beautiful than normal?” he said, a tiny grin on his face. Lily nodded her head rapidly, making Harry laugh and kiss her head.
Tom explained to his brother that he had to turn around and close his eyes while you showed everyone else the dress. He whined and protested, insisting like a child that it wasn’t fair. Nikki had obviously scolded him, telling him to stop being a baby, which had made Lily giggle.
He knew you’d stepped out when he heard gasps from the two women, he pouted, resting his head against his daughters.
“Oh wow.” Harry felt his heart sink. He wanted nothing more to turn around and gush about how gorgeous you looked along with everyone else.
To tease him even more, you shuffled over and placed a kiss to his cheek, greeting him sweetly, but making sure he could only see your face.
“I want to see you,” he frowned. You giggled quietly, kissing in between his clothed shoulder blades.
“You’ll see me on the day.” He rolled his eyes, throwing his head back to try and catch a glimpse, complaining about how far away it was.
You scoffed at him, quickly covering his eyes with your hands. “Stop peeking.”
Harry let you keep your hands over his eyes, but turned his head and puckered his lips for you to kiss him. You rolled your eyes, granting his wish.
“Let me just change and then we can go.” You heard Harry huff, ignoring his complaints and heading back to change into normal clothing. He got the chance to properly greet you with a hug once you were back in the clothes you’d put on that morning.
Your heart was racing as you bought the dress, hearing the two men behind you choking on their own breath at the price, neither one of the lads was aware that a wedding dress could cost anywhere near that much. It wasn’t long before you were ready to leave, slipping your hand into Harry’s while he happily carried your girl on his hip, listening to her innocent rambling.
Once you were in the restaurant and ordering, you got a few confused looks from the rest of the table when you didn’t order any alcohol, choosing to go with water instead. In their heads your mother and Nikki were also thinking about when you rejected the champagne at the dress shop when you’d arrived.
You tried to brush it off, gulping nervously and telling them you just weren’t in the mood. Harry was skeptical, he knew you better than you knew yourself and you seemed really nervous at the slight intrusion, you also hadn’t mentioned feeling off in any way to him.
He made a mental note to ask about it when you got home later, not wanting to bring it up in front of your families just in case.
When you got home that night, both you, Harry and Lily were exhausted. He offered to go and put her to bed, letting you do whatever you needed so you could get in bed.
Even after taking the time to read your angel a quick bedtime story, Harry still ended up in bed before you, ignoring your eye roll at how eager he was to sleep.
“I’m still sad I wasn’t allowed to see your dress,” he whined. You just giggled, pulling back the covers of your bed and climbing in next to him. You laid beside him, the two of you laying in a comfortable silence, just appreciating being near each other. You could tell just from the dazed expression on his face that he was picturing it.
“I can’t wait to marry you.” Your heart practically exploded in your chest, turning your head on the pillow so you could admire your fiancé.
“About that,” you winced. Harry’s eyes widened, snapping towards you out of fear.
“Oh no, do you not-“ you cut him off instantly, shaking your head rapidly at his statement. You felt guilty for worrying him.
“It’s nothing like that, I promise.” His heart was still beating irregularly. You took a deep breath, smiling at him nervously, while blindly searching for his hand to hold.
“I think we need to push the wedding back a little,” you explained. His eyebrows furrowed, cocking his head like a confused puppy. He asked why, happily letting you take his hand in yours. You guided his hand to your stomach, trying to see if he would get the hint. It did take him a few minutes for it to sink in but he eventually gasped in surprise.
“You’re pregnant?” he asked, tears welling in his eyes.
“Yeah,” you cried, giggling to yourself as he practically tackled you in a hug. He let a few tears slip, not even bothering to wipe them away, “I wanted to tell you better than this but, here we are.”
“I had an idea, I noticed you weren’t drinking,'' you rolled your eyes. You hadn’t thought that would’ve been obvious. He shook his head, unable to tear his eyes away from you and your stomach. “I can’t believe it.” He refused to stop pressing kisses to different parts of your face, your laugh echoing around your shared room.
“I love you so much,” he whispered. You leaned forward and rested your forehead on his, smiling softly at him, while watching all the emotions swimming in those brown eyes. “Thank you for giving me the perfect family.”
This pregnancy was even better than your first one. Harry was much more attached this time and he barely ever let his hands leave your belly when he could.
In the beginning you would slap his hands away, telling him to stop so your families wouldn’t suspect anything. He would obviously take offense, just wanting to be close to his love and his growing child. But as it got harder and harder to hide, Harry would give you those puppy dog eyes that you couldn’t say no to.
This pregnancy felt different on some level, even though you had Harry the first time around too, this felt much more personal and you weren’t sure if it was because this time around, the baby was his.
He would often be encouraging Lily to talk to the baby with him, about anything and everything they could think of.
It had become one of Harry’s favourite things to do to talk to the baby. Anytime he could he’d be lifting up your shirts to just below your bra and pressing kisses to different spots on your protruding belly, telling the growing baby a story about his day.
That’s what was currently happening here. You were all ready to go to sleep when Lily had claimed she had a nightmare, tears running down her face, crawling into your bed for some comfort. Harry’s attempt at calming her down was by distracting her with talking to your five month pregnant belly.
He lifted up his old shirt you were wearing, placing a few greeting kisses on your stomach. He got comfortable on his elbows before motioning for Lily to follow, having her lay down on your other side.
“Come on angel, that’s your sibling in there.” Harry had been trying forever to get her to just talk to the baby, but she clearly didn’t grasp the concept of where the baby even was because she couldn’t see them.
“But there’s nothing there,” she pouted, laying her head on your chest. You ran your fingers through her tangled hair, just like your other hand was doing with Harry’s hair.
Lily watched as he began to tell the baby anything that popped into his head, rubbing his thumb over the skin gently. She shuffled down the bed, placing her tiny hand on your belly, trying to mimic her dad’s actions. She started to tell them a random story about her day with her uncle Tom, something about what had happened in the film they’d watched. The whole experience was actually quite soothing to you, giving you a chance to close your eyes and try to fall asleep while your two angels did their thing.
A sudden and slight flinch and your eyes snapping open alerted your fiancé, the man looking at you concerned.
“They kicked,” you laughed, “I think they like their sisters' voices.” Lily’s eyes widened, letting you guide her hand to where the kick had been. You told her to keep talking, not having to wait long for another energetic kick from your bub.
“See, they like you already,” Harry smiled, nudging her shoulder gently.
“Can we talk to them everyday?”
When you first told your angel she was over the moon, she was really excited at the idea of having a sibling and it warmed your heart to see. Nothing had changed from when you told her to know, the obvious baby bump being the centre of her constant giddy moods.
It eventually got to the point where there was no way you could hide it from family members any longer, and you had to tell your families about the pregnancy and postponing the wedding.
“So, we have some news,” you announced, gaining everyone around the table's attention. You squeezed Harry’s hand, running your hands over the material of your loose dress and pulling it tight against your belly.
There was a chorus of gasps, a few tears and lots of hugs from your families, hearing congratulations upon congratulations. You couldn’t help but glance at your fiancé while in a hug with his twin. You both sent each other lovesick smiles from the embraces you’d been dragged into, your hearts warm.
It felt like the last few months were over in seconds, and you were definitely going to miss it. The back rubs from Harry, the constant helping you and even the practically never leaving your side, you were surprisingly going to miss that too.
Your water breaking was nowhere near as chaotic as the first time, things were much calmer the second time around. Harry called one of his brothers, you couldn’t be sure which one in the moment, and asked them to meet you at the hospital so they could watch Lily. He then helped you into the car, making sure to give you a break when a contraction would hit, allowing you to squeeze the life out of his hand.
It was incredibly early for Lily, so she seemed to fall asleep as soon as she was settled in her car seat, a soft smile on Harry’s face just looking at her. He was about to be a dad again.
He tried to get there as quick as he could, finding Tom waiting outside in the early morning cold. You gathered that Tom was the brother he’d called earlier, but right now you didn’t really care. He greeted you politely, taking a sleeping Lily from her car seat while Harry helped you inside.
After you were given something for the pain, you seemed more concerned with if your family members were aware of the incoming new arrival, rather than actually being in labour. Something that Harry had to remind you was much more important.
“Did you call or-“ Harry cut you off, brushing some sweaty hair out of your face.
“I sent a text to everyone, okay, stop worrying.” you nodded your head, taking deep breaths to try and ease the pain that was still lingering. Harry didn’t let up playing with your hair, placing the occasional kiss on your hairline and always whispering words of encouragement to get you through.
You didn’t realise how much relief you’d get when the doctor told you it was time, a flood of thanks flowing through you as you were finally able to get this baby out.
This one took longer than the last, your new baby turning out to be a lot more stubborn than Lily was already, but you were eventually greeted with the cries of a newborn echoing around the room.
Harry choked back tears hearing that it was a boy, ignoring your teasing comment about the Holland curse as he got a look at his baby.
The boy was passed to you first, letting you get a good look at him. At first glance, he seemed to be a perfect mix of you and Harry, but when you really took the time to study him, you noticed all the features that were his dads. That button nose of his that you completely adored, those honey brown eyes that you’d spent hours staring into on some days.
You could feel Harry watching you both from where he resided next to your bed. Snapping a quick picture that you’d be able to look back on whenever you wanted. You ran your hand over your boy's head, kissing his forehead and then glancing up to your fiance.
“He looks like you, he’s so beautiful.”
Harry’s heart swelled, itching to get the chance to hold his new son. Before Lily came in to be introduced to her new little brother, Harry got to cradle him, noting every one of his features to memory. Especially noticing the ones that he believed belonged to you.
“He’s perfect,” he whispered. Your heart fluttered a little, watching how he was so mesmerized with the new life in his arms. He placed gentle kisses on his chubby cheeks, choking up when his tiny hand wrapped around his finger. You let him have his moment, taking this chance for yourself to relax a little bit. A single tear rolled down his cheek and he didn’t even attempt to hide it, allowing you to get an insight on how truly happy he was right now. It felt like the first time he’d held Lily in his arms over three years ago. He remembered the moment where he stayed mesmerised with her for eyes, analysing every little mark on her face that resembled you. That was the day Harry properly fell in love with the tiny angel, and it was happening all over again right now.
You hated to interrupt his moment but you also wanted to let the tired, and probably very bored, girl in the waiting room have the chance to meet her brother.
“Can you go get Lily, please?” you asked. He nodded slowly, hesitantly handing you the little angel wrapped in blue back. He pressed a long kiss to your forehead, partly thanking you for giving him his angel, well both of his angels, and also silently telling you how proud and amazed he was at what you’d just done.
You talked to your son quietly while Harry was gone, even if it was only for a few minutes and even if he didn’t understand what you were saying. Reaching his little hand up to grab you as if he recognised your voice from all the conversations you’d had with him while you were pregnant.
“There’s someone we want you to meet,” he whispered, guiding her sleepy frame into the hospital room. She seemed hesitant, her lack of sleep leaving her confused. She couldn’t see anyone else in the room but you and her dad.
“Lily, c’mere,” you cooed. Harry lifted her onto the hospital bed beside you, giving her the perfect view of the baby boy. “This is your little brother.”
Harry watched you introduce your new babe to Lily, the girl watching her new baby sibling in awe. She seemed to lose all traces of sleep the second she saw him, becoming completely obsessed with the tiny human in front of her.
It’d definitely taken you both time to get here, to become a family, arguably too long for that matter, but Harry felt like this was right, he felt complete, and he was sure that he now always would.

The way you love me
A/N: I haven't written anything for Remus in SO LONG. I miss him! So I thought I would write this because Remus needs more love. As always, my requests are open, so feel free to either drop me an ask or a private message! Here are my request rules so you know the characters I won't write for as well as my masterlist so you can have a look at everything else! And here is a shameless plug for my writing challenge in which absolutely anyone can take part!
Title: Faith Hill - This Kiss (Practical Magic is my fave film)
Summary: It’s the way he loves you - snippets of the ways in which he loves you.
Pairing: Remus Lupin x Fem!Reader (Marauders era)
Requested: nope
Warnings: none - tooth rotting fluff
Word count: 1.1k
It’s the way he loves you:
On a morning, knowing that you’ll have overslept despite your best intentions, he’ll have a glass of a fresh orange juice waiting. He’ll press a kiss to your cheek, chuckling at the rushed expression on your face.
It’s the way he loves you:
Exam season starts to creep up on the seventh years and you start to spend more and more time in the library – reading and rereading the incantations and histories for spells you’ve been performing for years.
He finds you face down on a table; snoring slightly as the sleep deprivation and stress catch up with you. Your head is nestled on top of your arm, a textbook poking out beneath. It doesn’t look to be a comfortable position, he thinks, gently moving the textbook. He closes it, adding it to the pile of books around you.
A small smile breaks across his face as he shakes your shoulder. “Darling,” he whispers.
You frown, grumbling in your sleep.
“Come on, time to get up.”
“Why?”
“You’ve fallen asleep in the library – time to get you to your bed.”
You rub your eyes, making grabby hands at him. He indulges you; drawing you in for a hug.
“Stay with me tonight?” You ask, yawning against his chest.
His hand runs through your hair as he whispers, “Always.”
It’s the way he loves you:
After each full moon, you’re there waiting in the hospital wing. Ready to help with whatever injury to whichever friend.
He watches you flit around the wing, grabbing bandages and dittany and pumpkin juice. Anything and everything to help.
If anyone was to look upon his face, they would say that he’s in love and he has it bad. And he wouldn’t deny it; he is in love. He’s in love with someone who selflessly puts her own needs last whenever he or a friend needs help. He’s in love with someone who studies until all hours because she wants the perfect grades to get the perfect job so they can have the safest start to their lives together.
It’s the way he loves you:
The sun warms your face as you lay in the grass, and the summer breeze ruffles your hair. It’s turning out to be a perfect day.
You can hear James and Sirius bickering over something; Lily chiming in with her opinion every now and then.
Remus lies beside you, drifting in and out of consciousness. He was still feeling the effects of the full moon two days ago.
The entire left-hand side of his body is pressed against your right. He craved this after a full moon; the feel of you. It calmed him; it grounded him. It reminded him of what was waiting for him after every lunar cycle.
You turn on your side; your back to the rest of the Marauders, facing Remus wholly. His hair moves in the slight breeze; his face ageless as he rests. He’s beautiful, you think. You drag a finger up and down his arm, savouring the shiver that runs through his body at the feel of your touch.
But you could tell that the moon was still bothering him, “Up you get,” You whisper, poking his shoulder.
He opens an eye, “Why?”
“We’re going back to the common room – it’ll be emptier in there. You don’t need to worry about the noise and that. You can just rest.”
He groans, shifting to sit up, “You’re right as you often are.”
“You flatter me, Lupin. Let’s go,” You say, standing up, holding a hand out for him.
He takes it with no question. You wave to the rest of the group, telling them you’ll see them all at dinner. They wave back, telling Remus to feel better. His heart warms with affection for them.
His heart warms with affection for you – you could always tell what he needed and when. It had to be something of a cosmic connection.
He couldn’t help but think himself lucky, for the first time in his life, as you both walk towards the common room.
It’s the way he loves you:
You sit at the breakfast counter, a mug of hot coffee in your hand. Time has aged you, but it has him. And yet, to him, you’re still as youthful as the day you first smiled at him and he first fell head over heels.
You twist the wedding band sitting on your left hand; lost entirely to a daydream that Remus wishes he was party to. If only for a day, an hour – he would love to see what goes in your mind as you drift into your daydreams.
He takes moments like these often; where he can stand back and admire the woman who married him without a second thought. He admires the woman who has loved him every day since Fifth Year and would continue to love him to the end of time itself.
Your hair has started to grey and lines form around your eyes when you smile or laugh. He know his is doing the same, but for all the time, he has spent with you. He has never loved or wanted you more.
It’s the way he loves you:
With his entire being.
Remus Lupin has loved you from the very moment you were paired together in Herbology and you asked him if he truly understood what was happening; laughing when he admitted he did not. But your laugh, your smile – the way it lit up your face. All he could do after leaving the greenhouses was think of you; James, Sirius and Peter all gave him shit for it.
But he knew, he knew then and there that he had fallen absolutely arse over tea kettle in love with you – he just had to work up the nerve to ask you out.
He did or rather you beat him to it when he started to stutter through his question. Putting a hand on his, telling him that yes, you would like to go to Hogsmeade with him this weekend, that you’ll meet him in the clocktower courtyard and that you can’t wait. He watches you walk away in a daze with absolutely no idea as to how he just managed to get you to agree to a Hogsmeade date.
Remus has battled with who he is for a very long time; he knows that he won’t ever feel at peace with the curse bestowed upon him at such a young age. He has trouble accepting every single part of himself, but you do. You accepted it all and accepted it with open arms. In that instant, he knew he would follow you to the ends of the earth to ensure your happiness.
Everything was easier with you; as if the burden of his lycanthropy was lightened and that he didn’t need to feel constant pressure and worry of whether someone would find out his secret. You were there to kiss away any anxiety, any issue. For that, he devoted himself to you.

it’s the great pumpkin (t.l.)
pairing - tara lewis x reader
summary - you and tara take the simmons kids to the pumpkin patch
warnings - none
note - this takes place before rosemary was born
Tumblr media
it was no secret that you and tara were the usual go-to babysitters for any of the bau parents.
kristy and matt were the ones who utilized you the most. you two never minded, their kids were so incredibly sweet and you loved spending time with them.
matt had texted you earlier in the week asking if you and tara could possibly watch the kids that saturday. him and kristy were going to visit matt’s grandmother in northern virginia. they would be gone from early morning to late night and obviously the kids couldn’t be alone.
you arrived promptly at six-thirty in the morning at the simmon’s residence.
it was far too early in the morning and you still weren’t quite awake. tara had a bit more energy, but still leaned against you gently.
kristy was the one who opened the door, greeting you both and ushering you in. “how do you have such a bright smile this early,” you commented. “some of us have kids and are used to bring up at this hour.”
you’ve babysat for the simmons enough that you were fully used to their home. for that reason, you headed right into the kitchen to make yourself a cup of coffee. plus, kristy had gotten the fall holiday blend for their keurig and you both wanted to try it.
“hey tara,” you poked. “do you want some?”
your girlfriend nodded from the counter, still a little out of it overall.
“helping yourself i see,” matt spoke as he entered the kitchen. “hey matt, can you grab me the creamer?”
the agent chuckled at your deflection of the question. he didn’t mind at all. like before, you and tara were always welcome to help yourselves. besides, it was early in the morning and coffee was pretty much a must at this point.
as you stirred the two mugs of coffee together, matt went over the details while kristy was getting ready.
“all of the kids are still asleep. david is usually the early riser out of the group but he goes in and brushes his teeth before coming down. they all know you two are here so their shouldn’t be any surpises. chloe and lily will probably need a little help with hair and getting changed but once one wakes up, the other is two. them and jake should be down maybe thirty minutes after david,” matt explained.
you nodded along. you heard this speech a couple of times and it was already memorized in your head.
“we should be back by eleven. everything else with breakfast, lunch, and dinner is up to you. there’s money in the dining room for takeout if you want but other than that i think your good to go.”
matt and kristy departed soon after that. they had a long drive ahead of them and both wanted to arrive sooner rather than later.
for you and tara, you took your coffee into the living room to sit. all you could do at that point is wait for the kids to get up so you could make them breakfast and start the day.
reruns of the office played on the tv as you sat together. just as tara had taken both of your mugs back into the kitchen for refills, you heard the first set of foot septa coming down the stairs.
david grinned when he realized that you and tara were already over. the young boy ran as quickly as he could over to the couch. you let out an ‘oof’ as he jumped beside you, already clinging to you with a giggle.
it didn’t take long for the rest of the kids to wake up. they had heard the commotion downstairs and wanted to figure where it was coming from. they had greeted you both the same way david had before chloe brought up breakfast.
you made pancakes for everyone. they were simple enough and the kids loved them.
after breakfast, you and tara helped the kids get changed, brush their teeth, and fix their hair. by eleven that morning, they were ready to go for the day.
prior to arriving, you and tara talked briefly about what you wanted to do with the simmons kids. you settled on something that could be fun for fall, but it depended on how it went down with everyone.
after successfully gaining everyone’s attention downstairs, tara brought up the idea. “how would you all feel about going to get some pumpkins to carve?”
chloe and lily jumped up and down at that while david let out a ‘yeah!’ jake agreed too and was already going on about what he wanted to carve.
it took a bit to get the kids fed lunch and all together to get ready and go. when everyone was finally seated into the car seats, you took off.
the farm you went to was a bit outside of the city, maybe twenty minutes to get there from the simmons home. you could tell the kids excitement only grew as you were closer to your destination.
once arriving, you and tara helped the kids out of the car. “make sure to stick with one of us and we can go,” you informed them all.
lily resided comfortably on your shoulders, clinging to the base of your neck to keep herself upright after making grabby hands at you. she was the shyest one of the kids, preferring to stick to either you and tara or her parents when they were around.
the other three kids ran ahead. jake led the pack, pulling david with him as chloe did her best to catch up.
“come on auntie t!” david called.
tara gave you a quickly glance. “go ahead,” you motioned with your hand. “i got this little one.” lily giggled as you leaned up to tickle her gently.
as tara picked up the pace to keep up with the three, you and lily turned a different route of the farm. “alright lily, let’s go find our perfect pumpkin,” you beamed.
while tara, jake, david, and chloe were all trudging through the main field in search of a carvable pumpkin, you and lily stayed towards the main part of the farm. she seemed to really love the mini pumpkins they had. you grabbed a basket and put a few in much to her delight as well as another medium sized pumpkin.
“should we go meet up with auntie t and the others?” you poked lily. the young girl on your shoulders nodded, going quiet for a moment before she pointed towards the entrance to the field.
tara and jake were holding two very large pumpkins while chloe and david trailed them. you pressed your lips together, already preparing for the mess that was going to come with it.
back home, you brought the pumpkins, both big and small, inside first. tara helped you lay down some newspaper so the kitchen table wouldn’t be permanently damaged by the goop. after the knives and other scoopers were gathered up, it was time to start.
“alright now,” you announced. “what kind of pumpkin do we went to carve.
there were shouts from the kids all ranging from ‘dinosaur!’ to ‘princess!’ and even just a plain old face.
the last one was obviously the simplest and you ultimately decided to let the kids draw what face they wanted you to carve. while they did that, you walked over to tara.
“have any of the kids mentione what they want for dinner?”
“yeah actually. david brought up pasta and the other two agreed. i mean i’m nowhere near rossi level but i can make the one i usually so for us,” she offered. you nodded, “that sounds perfect.”
“auntie y/n! we’re finished!” chloe called. you turned to tara, “that’s my cue.”
you started off by cutting both tops off and diving in with your hands to scoop out the inside of the pumpkin.
the kids seemed to think it was hilarious everytime you threw more of the inside of the pumpkin down. adding onto the fact that it was slowly getting all over you and even on your face, they could not stop laughing at you.
you were elbow deep in pumpkin goop when tara started cooking. there were two pumpkins to carve and you needed to finish the first at that point and start on the second.
jake was helping tara cook. well, by helping it was pretty much him taste testing what she made. david and lily say with you as you carved away. they were in slight awe watching you work.
when the two pumpkins were finally carved, you let the kids pick out what candles they wanted to put in and light. with help from david, you all brought them outside to sit on the front porch.
dinner was a bit after that, then just time to relate, and finally time to put the kids in bed.
you and tara brought them up around nine. lily had already fallen asleep beside you and the rest weren’t far behind. after they lazily brushed their teeth and got their pajamas on, you said your goodnight, read them a bedtime story, and it was lights out.
matt and kristy got home that night right around the time they told you.
in the two hour difference between the kids going to bed and the two arriving home, you and tara pretty much just sat around and watched tv before you finally had to start the final parts of cleanup.
you were just heading back inside from the trash can outside when you saw their car pull down the street.
“hey y/n, where’s tara and the kids?” matt first greeted. “did everything go okay?”
you stopped what you were doing, tossing the rag you were using to wipe down on the table. “they’re upstairs. chloe couldn’t sleep so tara is up with her right now. the boys and lily passed out almost immediately,” you informed the parents.
kristy looked a little shocked at that. “really? it usually takes a bit for all of them to fall asleep.”
“well i think we tired them out,” you smiled, motioning with your heads to the pumpkins that sat on the table. “we carved pumpkins.”
“you did?”
you nodded. “yeah we put them outside on the porch. we went to the farm and let the kids pick them out and then brought them back to carve them.”
tara appeared in the kitchen a moment later. “chloe’s asleep,” she spoke first. “oh hey guys. everyone’s already in bed and tucked in.”
kristy nodded. “thank you guys so much. it really means a lot for you to do this.”
tara waved her hand. “it’s no issue. we rarely have any issues and they’re truly a joy to watch. besides, we have to get those favoritism points somehow.”
“you know you two are going to be great parents someday,” matt commented.
you leaned against tara with a smile. “you always say that matt.” kristy jumped in next. “well i mean it’s true. the kids really love you both.” for once, you finally felt like you agreed.
something about you and tara being parents just felt so incredibly right.

Sleigh Ride
Happy second advent everyone! As promised here is another Christmas fic. This one is rather short, but I hope you like it nevertheless. Also I think it’s less christmasy but rather wintery (does this make any sense?).
And as always: Thanks @heyitssmiller for proof reading. And thank you @spookydiyharrypotterbat for sending some motivation to sit down and write it. It’s fluff like I promised you for christmas!
Enjoy y’all!
Remus was waiting for Sirius. He sighed.
“Sirius we’re going to be late.”
“Yeah, yeah. Have you seen my gloves?”
He opened the top drawer of the dresser next to the main door and took a pair of black gloves out.
“I have them here. Come on now.” Remus said and handed them to Sirius.
Sirius kissed him on the cheek and smiled.
“Thanks, love. You know where to go?”
Remus nodded, took Sirius's hand and together they apparated to the agreed meeting point.
It had snowed for the last three days but today the sun was coming out finally. The whole city and the land around was perfectly covered with fluffy white snow. It was the perfect day to go sleigh riding.
Lily, James and Harry waited already for them. Harry ran to them as soon as he’d seen them. He was three years old now and his little legs had to fight their way through the high snow. He was smiling nevertheless.
Sirius smiled at the little one and picked him up.
“Hey there buddy.” Sirius said.
“Hello Harry.” Remus said, smiling at him.
“Hello!” Harry beamed at them.
Together they walked to Lily and James, standing next to a small hill. James had a sleigh in his hand.
“We thought you’d forgotten us.” James said.
“How could I ever forget a date with your precious little son?” Sirius said, tickling Harry through his thick snowsuit.
“Some of us had problems finding their belongings this morning.” Remus teased Sirius.
But Sirius didn’t hear, he was too occupied with Harry.
Remus looked lovingly at the two of them. He loved the sight - Sirius with a kid and both of them very carefree, fooling around with each other.
Remus felt a soft pressure on his ribs, Lily had elbowed him.
“Stop pinning. I want to have the first ride with you.” she said and took the sleigh out of James’ hands.
“Hey!” he protested, but Lily just stuck her tongue out and walked up the hill together with Remus.
She put the sleigh down and sat down. Remus took his seat behind her and put his arms around her.
“Ready?” she asked.
Remus grinned.
“Let’s go.” he said and they pushed the sleigh down the hill.
Remus could hear Lily's laugh and couldn’t suppress his own. It was a quick ride, the hill wasn’t very high, but it was a great one.
Lily leant onto Remus' chest as they had reached the foot of the hill again, both of them giggling like kids.
“Momma! I want!” Harry said and made grabby hands at Lily.
Lily looked at him and nodded.
“We’ll have the next ride, honey.”
They both got up from the sleigh and Lily took Harry from Sirius.
“So you already became uninteresting.” Remus stated as he watched Lily and Harry climbing up the hill together, Lily holding Harrys’ little hand in one and the sleigh in her other hand.
Sirius took Remus' hand and pulled him closer.
“As long as you don’t think I’m uninteresting.” Sirius said.
“Never.”
Remus kissed him softly.
They took their turns riding the sleigh, most of the time with Harry. But all of them had fun, all of them being children once again.
They took a walk afterwards, their faces flushed from the joy and the cold equally. Sirius and James walked in front of Lily and Remus, Harry was sitting on James’ shoulders, his hands holding fistfulls of James’ hair.
Sirius turned into Padfoot and started running around James and Harry. Harry squealed in delight and James had to put him down. As soon as his feet hit the ground he started running after Padfoot. James started throwing snowballs and Padfoot chased after them, Harry following him, stumbling around on his short legs.
Remus looked at Lily, who watched the scene in front of them with so much love in her eyes. Love for her husband, love for her son, love for her friends. She put a hand over her belly and caressed it absentmindedly.
Remus watched her for a moment in silence. He narrowed his eyes.
“Lily, are you pregn-”
“Sh!” she cut in, putting a finger over her lips to silence him.
“James doesn’t know yet. I want to tell him on christmas. Oh he’s such a great dad.” she said with a glint in her eyes.
Remus just pulled her in for a tight hug.
“I’m so happy for you. Congratulations.”
They both smiled at each other, until they heard Harry laughing loud as Padfoot licked all over his face.
His laugh was infectious and it was as if there was nothing wrong with the world. And for the moment there wasn’t. It was a perfect day.
