part 0.1. LOVE CONFESSIONS

NOW PLAYING . . . before the day is over by joji

she’d known him before the rest. seen in him all his dreams and passions that would make him beautiful before he grew into the man he was now; captain of a volleyball team with an entire fanclub of his own. she just hoped she’d be a part of one of those dreams.

that hope was slightly struck down in a simple conversation in the years before secondary school. she didn’t even know how they had gotten onto the topic, she had barely tuned back in just in time to hear him say, “i don’t think I could ever like any of my friends. not like that.”

it almost felt like her heart ceased for a moment at those words. she would never have a chance. he would never like her the way she did. perhaps she had misinterpreted everything. her own feelings. how he treated her. she weren’t sure if she should distance herself from him or to go on ignoring her feelings and just remain friends with him.

she tried to distance herself for a while, but it didn’t work. it was like something pulled her towards him, and something in her head wanted to use that to prove it was meant to be. she wanted to believe it was like binary stars, you were both bound to each other, unable to grow apart.

but there her head went again, being hopeful. she didn’t want to be crushed. perhaps, even if there was a bond between them, it was best to pretend it wasn't anything special. or to believe that you were only meant to be friends and nothing more.

seijoh 4 is literally yn's squad, but basically what went down is that yn tried to distance herself from tooru so that her feelings would die down and she had to find new people to grow close to bc it would be impossible to try to hangout with the other seijoh third years and not see tooru

hence the group counseling hours squad was born <3

and tooru was also forced to find more friends </3

now that yn's returned back to seijoh 4 tho, ofc she still kept in touch with her other friends and they're always her people to go to when she has problems

for example, mixed signals from tooru that have her kicking her feet and simultaneously giggling and sobbing at the same time
