Weiss: Do you think that is still there?

Ruby: It costs nothing to try

Blake: Let's go there first, then we'll go to Academy

Weiss: But wasn't Academy destroyed?

Yang: Who knows if Academy was rebuilt?

Weiss: I highly doubt it, I believe that the priority was to rebuild the city and Academy must have been left behind

Blake: Staying here arguing won't help anything, we'd better go and see about this soon and then see if Academy is up and running

Once again, the four girls headed towards a public park nearby, but along the way they noticed some different things.

There were men and women wearing blue and white attire, very reminiscent of the uniform of Atlas soldiers, Blake heard with his ear that these same "soldiers" are talking about them.

But they didn't do anything.

Blake “ there is something wrong ”

As soon as they arrived at the park they got a surprise.

A crowd of people gathered in one place and they were all looking in one direction for big screen.

Team RWBY looked at the big screen and them got a surprise.

The screen was showing a gigantic army fully armed and prepared for war.

On both sides of the screen there was a pole with 6 flags.

The flag that was lower was the flag of the White Fang which was more destroyed, torn, burned, holey and dirty.

On top of the White Fang flag there was a flag of Vale which was quite burnt.

On top of the Vale flag was the Mistral flag that had a huge hole on the flag.

And above the Mistral flag there was the Atlas Flag that had several holes and had a big hole in the middle but it still showed the Atlas symbol.

Above the flag of Atlas was the flag of Vacuo which was well burned, but the symbol, even though it was damaged, was still recognizable as the Vacuo symbol.

The last flag, the one that was highest.

An orange and white flag that had a crown and head of a jackalope who had big horns. The crown was between the jackalope's horns but was not on the animal's head.

Ruby “Why are the flags of the kingdoms like that? Where did that flag that's high up come from? ”

Team RWBY's attention changed and now their attention went towards the big screen.

There was a giant army.

An army larger than the Army of Atlas but much larger, proving to be the largest army ever seen.

But there were some familiar faces.

Cardin that bully was totally different, he was much older now he had a beard and slightly longer hair, he was wearing an orange and black uniform. He had his black mace being supported with his two hands.

On his left shoulder there was a kind of cape that only covered his shoulder, that had a half moon upside down with five stars on top.

Next to him was Velvet, that hadn't changed much. She also had the same cape as Cardin which only covered her shoulder and also had the same symbol the only difference was that the outfit and her cape were brown.

Next to her was Nora!

Nora had changed a lot, his hair was big, she was wearing pants too! But she still kept her skirt on, her arms were showing that she had those scars she got in Atlas. His uniform was blue with some pink details.

Her beloved Magnhild was upside down and her hands were resting on the end of the handle.

Next to her was her beloved Ren... Who looked like a real assassin.

If didn't his pink headband wouldn't be able to recognize he, his face was covered by a mask, his uniform was very reminiscent of his old outfit he wore in Beacon. He had it behind his waist.

Just like Cardin and Velvet, Ren and Nora had those capes on their shoulders with their respective colors.

Yang: Ren... Nora?

Weiss: What the hell is Cardin doing there?

Weiss had to control herself not to scream.

Ruby: Where did this army come from?

Between Velvet and Nora there was a door that opened.

Ruby's eyes widened.

Three figures came out of that door.

Jackalope, a creature with the body of a horse, the head of a rabbit and the antlers of a deer.

The second figure was Jaune.

But that wasn't the same Jaune that Ruby once knew.

He was totally different from before, he had a beard, your hair is long again, he was wearing more elegant clothes looking like a King.

On his left side was Neo.

Neo lost his long three-color head now his hair was short, she was wearing a dress and looked like a real lady she still had her umbrella.

Ruby: Jaune—

Soldiers: LONG LIVE YOUR MAJESTY!

Soldiers: LONG LIVE THE KING OF REMNANT!

Soldiers: LONG LIVE KING JAUNE!

The soldiers and public saluted the king.

More actor!AU headcanons for RWBY, continuing off from part 1

• much of Ruby's blowup took shape the day of shooting. Jaune wrote the episode with some of her edits and she was hitting it, but something felt off to both of them+the director. she eventually was like, "hey, this feels like a speech, right?" and it clicked for all 3 of them. It couldn’t be a speech, it had to be rambling, like she was angry and finally let it out. With that in mind, she nailed it in two takes

• to go along with that: J+R's argument was improv'd. Jaune generally wrote "they have a fight," and they kicked ideas back and forth over text. There's a version shot where she hits him at the end, but they pulled back cuz it didn't feel like Ruby

• training for the RWBY/AO fight of V7 was done in the same room as ORNJ v Neo, and sometimes Nora would heckle them (or Ruby/Harriet doing the heckling). One time Nora and Jaune did fighting game commentary and made Weiss burst out laughing as she hit Marrow w her play sword

• from V2-onwards there's at least one point in the season, usually towards the very end, where Blake just takes her ears home with her and doesn't even realize it until she's halfway back to her place.

• Ren had to braid his hair in V7+8 because it kept blowing in his face during 5+6, and he also lost a bet with Yang

• as each season is airing, the gang texts Weiss video compilations they find online of her eating shit, and she saves them on a playlist for when she's feeling sad

• Neo+Ruby took acting classes together and were actually good friends. Ahead of V9's back half, Neo texted Ruby saying "I'm gonna fuck you up" and Ruby said, "yaaaaaaaay :D"

• Pyrrha shot her V9 scenes+her RWBY/JL cameo in the same day, and was utterly geeked to find out she got to emotionally devastate her good friend and her boyfriend hours apart from each other

• RWBY's mirror convos were shot as such: first, they'd do the scene in their current outfits, then again in their old ones. One of the other girls would stand in as the other version

• Nora turned out to be pregnant towards the end of V8's shooting, which kinda prompted her being on Vacuo side of things/her+Ren not being in 9 p much at all

• the scene where the Paper Pleasers "die" and Jaune goes "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!" had to be reshot like 3 times because Yang broke and cackled at his anguish over paper people

After a hard battle, Jaune landed the final blow upon Neo. Neo after Jaune attack fell to the ground. Jaune semblances was slowly fading away yet neither Neo or Jaune cared as they stayed, locking eyes with each other. Jaune after hearing her pleasant word Jaune smiles back at her. He then replies-

Jaune: Thank you.

Neo: Hey…

Jaune: Yeah?

Neo: Do you think… I’ll be able to see him again?

???: Well, you certainly kept me waiting. Neo.

They Can't Steal the Love You're Born to Find - childhood soulmates repeatedly torn apart and reconnecting, with courtroom drama. One of the most angst-ridden Bee fics I've ever read.

Fucking In Love - pornstar AU that gets right to the sex and slow burns the romance. Hot as hell while also full of tenderness and pining.

Midnight Menagerie - exotic dancer, kinda-cyberpunk dystopia AU. Edges you forever with the sex, earns all the angst tags, and we are majorly trusting @kaelidascope when she promises an amazing happy ending.

Bite Me Like You Love Me - one of the hottest Bee smutfics I've ever read.

Rise from the Ashes - Cinder has a Vader moment and saves Ruby from Salem, and Ruby's pure heart helps her heal, and their adversarial relationship turn to affection. Peak RWBY enemies-to-lovers.

Odds & Ends

The Bermuda Triangle - great modern AU BeesSchnees that gets filthy hot at the end.

Midnight Rose - Summer rescues and adopts Cinder out of Atlas. Their relationship, and Cinder coming to love the Xiao Long-Rose family, is beautifully depicted. Still very much ongoing (no ships as of yet).

Fallen Maiden - Jaune dies protecting Pyrrha at Beacon, and the Fall Maiden power remains split. Will Pyrrha's bloody crusade of vengeance consume her? Or, 'Pyrrha goes full Magneto and fucks Cinder up'.

What's In A Name? - Winter and May grow up together, struggling to cope with their feelings for each other against the background of the Atlas aristocracy.

Linked In Life and Love - I'd be remiss if I didn't mention this one. I really, really love the first act, where Team RWBY sees Blake suffering terribly through a surprise heat cycle and decides that they will all "help" her with it. It's sweet and tender and feels legit for them. I'm not a huge fan of where all the series has gone since, but I would invite anyone to judge that for themselves.

Quick thoughts on two person ships that I've seen in the fics I like or read fics for in both HP and RWBY

Percy x Penelope: I like it it's cute. Ginny catching them snogging would probably have a greater impact on canon if Penny was someone the Weasleys had a vocal opinion of.

Percy x Audrey: It's cute in fanfic. In canon though, it suffers from the thing of canon Audrey is just a name.

Percy x Oliver: This fits into so many of my favourite tropes, it's kind of hilarious. I think this was my first Percy ship.

Percy x Marcus: Character I love shipped with a charater that absolutely would go to hell and back for the other is probably the quickest way to get me to ship two characters and Flintley isn't any different. This is my favourite Percy, hands down

Percy x Anyone in Harry's year or Ginny's year: Not getting into specific ships because this is the most common theme of Percy ships that I end up filtering out. Personally, I only see it happening post second wizarding war after both members have left Hogwarts, and I have to be in a really specific mood to read fics for these types of ships. However, depending on who Percy is shipped with, it can be cute

Penelope x Audrey: I love these two together in fanfic and I love the versatility. If you thought Perciver fit a lot of tropes, then this ship can fit more because again canon Audrey is just a name.

Penelope x Fred: I think my enjoyment of this ship heavily depends on how Fred is characterized. These two in a ship read to me as Bookworm x Prankster, and I'm really not a fan of that trope. It absolutely doesn't help that the twins are tied for my least favourite (I don't hate them but I like the other siblings better) of the book series Wesley children.

Oliver x Marcus: I like the ship, and I think it's a good rivals to lovers ship. I'm pretty sure the only reason I've dropped a FlintWood fic is because I didn't vibe with the non-Flintwood ships in the fic

Ruby x Weiss: White Rose I think is partly as popular as it is because of the thing of pair off the spares. However, unlike a lot of couples I've seen with that thing, their canon interactions are. On the other hand, their canon status of getting partnered during initiation does help their cause.

Ruby x Blake: I know I've said it for basically most of the other ships on the list but it's cute. I think I got into this ship with either a Team RWBY poly fic or a Beauty and the Beast retelling that used Ladybug

Ruby x Jaune: I like their friendship and I think a romantic relationship would be fine. I don't really ship it myself but I can see the appeal.

Weiss x Blake: I like it. However, I think it would be better in the later seasons rather than when they were in Beacon.

Weiss x Yang: Freezerburn, my beloved. I know with recent events, it's absolutely not going to be canon, but imma just vibe with their dynamic with fanfic

Weiss x Pyrrha: I think this is my favourite Weiss ship. There's a possibility of one-sided rivalry to lovers while in Beacon, and I think that's my favourite trope the ship could fall into

Weiss x Jaune: Personally prefer a friendship between the two but the volume 9 white knight moments were cute

Blake x Yang: It's cute. I'm glad they got made canon, and I want to see more cute canon moments between the two if the show does somehow get another volume. In the meantime, I will be chilling with fanfic.

Blake x Sun: Like Bumblebee, its cute. I also don't want to see discourse between it and Bumblebee.

Blake x Adam: The exception to my Blake ships that I've read are cute. The stuff I've read have sometimes had this as a past relationship for Blake and it should stay a past relationship.

Yang x Neo: Would be an interesting friendship post s3 but I don't feel comfortable shipping them romantically with recent canon events even with the Neo age discourse I've seen.

Neo and Jaune start not talking to each other for now. After a few months of working together, Neo suddenly starts opening up to Jaune. Jaune even starts to make her laugh a few times. They then started spending time together as friends. Neo then proceeds to start talking to everybody though they had a hard time considering she’s a mute. Neo then continues showing everyone kindness however other than Jaune no one else believed it.

Jaune started appreciating more and more. This caused her to start valuing him to the point it started to feel weird. She decided to tell Nora about but as Nora started understanding what she was feeling she was shocked, happy, and yet angry that Jaune was right.

Nora: (Damn it.) Well… Neo, what your feeling maybe has to do with… … love.
