Life is so unfair. That's the only thing you know. He's soon to be king, and you still a nobody. You can only hear people talking about Prince Hyunjin getting married soon. You know you can't do anything about it. You know this situation was inevitable, but it still hurts to know that.
You and Prince Hyunjin had always spent time together. You would meet in your secret spot near the river, where you could talk and laugh without anyone bothering you. He was always so much fun to be with, and you felt like you could tell him anything. You had grown up together, and he had shared all of his stories with you. You had shared yours with him too. But even though you were close, you couldn't forget that he was a prince and you were just a villager. There was always a barrier between you, a barrier that you knew could never be crossed.
He always told you that he didn't mind your different statuses. He said that he loved spending time with you, no matter who you were. It was heartwarming to hear him say that, but it also broke your heart. You knew that you were nothing in his life. He was a prince, and you were just a villager. You knew that one day, he would forget about you. He would become king, and he would have to marry a woman of his own status. You would be left behind, a distant memory.
Your heart wasn't ready to meet him today. You knew what he was going to talk about. You had never been ready for a goodbye, especially not with someone you had always loved. But you still went there, to the place you had always spent time with him. He was already there, sitting on the bench by the river. So you just stood there, watching him. You memorized every detail of his face, so that you could remember him even after he was gone.
He noticed you coming and turned to you. His smile was different today. It was still there, but it was sad. There was an awkward silence. You didn't know what to say, and he didn't seem to know either. You took a seat beside him, admiring the river. The sun was shining, and the birds were singing. It was a beautiful day, but you couldn't enjoy it. "I guess you already heard about that," he said. You nodded. You had heard the rumors, but you had been hoping that they weren't true. "I'm getting married," he said. You took a deep breath. You knew this was coming, but it still hurt to hear him say it. "Congratulations," you said. "I hope you have a happy life." You didn't know what else to say. You were trying your best to stay strong, but it was hard.
Hyunjin let out a frustrated sigh. "How could I be happy by marrying someone I don't know?" he asked. "How could I feel so happy when you gave me your congratulations? What should I do? I don't want anyone else. Don't you feel the same?" He raised his voice, but then he saw your face. He couldn't think about anything else. He hated this feeling right now. He badly wanted to run away from his life, but he couldn't. "Aren't you feeling sad?" he whispered, but it was loud enough for you to hear. "Don't you love me like I do?"
"Hyunjin, if you ask me if I love you, I do. But this is the main reason why I keep saying we are different. You and I will never be together. You know it. From the day I knew I loved you, I already knew our love story would end. You would be with someone else." You felt the tears coming down your cheeks, and the situation made it so hard to breathe. Hyunjin looked at you, his eyes filled with pain. "I don't want you to get hurt if you refuse the king's order," you said. "But what else can we do? It's nothing but a goodbye." The sun was setting, and the sky was ablaze with color. But you didn't notice the beauty of the sunset. You were too busy feeling heartbroken.
"Loving isn't always mean that we should be together," you said. "I never regret to love you, Hyunjin. Please be a great king for us. I will be so proud to see you there." You could see Hyunjin's tears too. Everything was a mess for both of you, and love could be so hurtful. "I will," Hyunjin said. "I will make sure you're safe no matter what, y/n. I will never stop loving you, and even if I should die for you, I will." He pulled you into a hug. It was a goodbye hug. Even though it was warm and safe, you knew you would never have him this close again because he was no longer there. He would be with someone else. You hugged him back, savoring the feeling of his arms around you. You knew that you would never forget this moment.
He pulled away and turned to walk away. You watched him go, and you knew that you would never see him again. But you would never forget him. He would always have a special place in your heart. You took a deep breath and wiped away your tears. You knew that you had to be strong. You had to move on with your life. You turned and walked away, determined to find happiness, even though it would be hard.

Hyunjin stood in his bedroom, staring blankly at the wall. He couldn't believe today was the day. The day he was supposed to get married to someone he didn't love. He thought about you, the love of his life. He knew he would never be able to forget you. You were always in his mind, even though he had to push you away. He knew that he had to do this for the kingdom. He had to marry the princess, even though he didn't want to. He stood up and walked to the window. He looked out at the crowd of people who had gathered to celebrate his wedding. They were all cheering and congratulating him, but he couldn't bring himself to smile.
He made a promise to himself. He promised that he would be a great king. He promised that he would protect everything that was dear to him. And he promised that he would protect you, even from afar. The ceremony was short and simple. Hyunjin didn't really listen to the words that were being said. He was just glad that it was over. After the ceremony, the crowd cheered and threw rice at the newlyweds. Hyunjin and the princess waved to the crowd, but Hyunjin's heart wasn't in it.
Hyunjin continued his life with more studying. He was really busy being a good king for the kingdom. He turned into someone who never smiled. He was always serious and focused. Sometimes, he would still go to the places where he and you used to spend time together. But you were no longer there. He would just sit there and remember all the memories they had shared. He would remember the way you made him feel special. He would remember the way you made him feel like he could do anything.
Everything kept going. Hyunjin kept himself focused on his flat life. Until in recent months, everything has changed. The agreements have been broken, the friendships have dissolved, and the kingdoms are now on the brink of war. Hyunjin, could sense that something dangerous was coming. He trained himself and his soldiers day and night to prepare for the inevitable attack. He wanted to make sure that no one would get hurt, especially you. But Hyunjin's preparations were not enough. The other kingdoms were not interested in talking things out. They wanted war, and they were willing to do whatever it took to win.
that night when he woke up in the middle of the night, hearing that the other kingdom had attacked them and was already heading into the village. His heart raced as he told all the soldiers to be ready, but before he could go anywhere, his enemies had already attacked the kingdom. He swung his sword, taking down one enemy after another. As they fell to the ground, he felt a surge of adrenaline. He was a good king, and he would protect his kingdom. After giving his soldiers a command to take care of the rest, he ran to the village. He could hear the screams of the villagers as they were attacked. He knew he had to do something to help.
He had never felt so scared in his life. He wasn't scared for his own life, but for the fact that he might be late to meet you. His eyes darted around as he fought off the oncoming enemies, his sword moving with deadly precision. Then he heard someone mention someone trapped in a burning house, and he immediately ran to help.
Hyunjin looked around, but he couldn't find you. He heard a noise coming from the back of the house, so he ran to investigate. In the backyard, he saw you with a soldier holding a sword to your neck. Hyunjin knew he had to save you, so he charged at the soldier. The two of them fought fiercely, but Hyunjin was injured and lost his balance. The soldier took advantage of Hyunjin's weakness and stabbed him with his sword. Hyunjin looked into the soldier's eyes as he was dying, and he saw that the soldier was also injured. The soldier then turned and walked away, leaving Hyunjin and you badly injured in the backyard.
Hyunjin struggled to get up, his body aching from the sword wound. He slowly made his way over to you, who were sitting on the ground, leaning against the wall. You were both bleeding badly, and tears were streaming down your cheeks.
"I'm so sorry," Hyunjin said, his voice hoarse. "You must have been so scared." He reached out his hand, which was covered in his own blood. "I'm so sorry."
"Hyunjin," you whispered, your voice barely audible. It was hard to breathe, but it was nice to see his face one last time. You never thought this would happen, but having him by your side felt so right, even for the last moments of your life. "Thank you for coming here," you continued. "I never thought I'd see you again, but I'm so glad you're here."
Hyunjin held your hand tightly. He could barely feel his body anymore, but he didn't care. All that mattered was you. "I make myself a promise to protect you," he said, his voice barely a whisper. "But I failed. I'm so sorry. I'm not strong enough."
Hyunjin held your hand tightly, his tears streaming down his face. "But you should know that you are the best thing that ever happened to me," he said slowly. "I love you."
You smiled weakly, your breath coming in short gasps. "I love you too," you whispered. Hyunjin leaned down and kissed you, a soft, gentle kiss that was full of love and regret. When the kiss was over, you closed your eyes and took your last breath. Hyunjin held you close, his tears soaking your bloody clothes.
Hyunjin closed his eyes and let the last tears fall. "I love you," he whispered. "And I hope that in the next life, we can be together again and live happily ever after." He had lost the war, and he knew that it was his fault. He had not been a good king. He had not been able to protect his people. The kingdom was in ruins. Fires were burning everywhere. The streets were littered with blood and bodies. Hyunjin felt sick to his stomach. He had failed everyone. He felt a wave of guilt and grief wash over him. He had promised to protect you, and now you were lifeless beside him.
He knew that love is not always as sweet as the stories people tell about it. Sometimes, love could hurt you that bad. But even though their love story had ended in tragedy, Hyunjin knew that he would never forget the best memories they had shared. Their love would always be a part of him, and it would be written on the history of their world as a tragic love story that would never be forgotten.
Hyunjin took one last look at you, and then he closed his eyes as well. He wished with all his heart that he could find you again in another life, and that he could live with you happily ever after.
Hey everyone,
Happy birthday to me! It's my special day today, and I'm feeling inspired to share a new story with you. I've been working on this story for a while, and I'm not sure if it's any good, but I'm excited to finally share it with you.
I hope you enjoy it, and I appreciate your support as always.
Have a great day!
