Autumn Nights

Warnings: A LOT OF DIALOGUE!!! Extreme cheesiness!! It is so cliche I couldn’t help myself lmao! Maybe some cussing?? Use of “Y/N” And a kiss.

Also not proofread!!!

Summary: Dalton, Chris, and Y/N attend a Halloween party and feelings start to come to the surface as the night progresses.

A/N: so I watched Insidious The Red Door and I got inspired to write something fun and cute so I hope you all enjoy! 🥰

Your eyes slowly open and adjust to the morning sun. You raise up and stretch your arms with a big yawn glancing out your dorm window and your gaze is met with the colors of autumn. You smile to yourself, giddy with the excitement of your favorite holiday coming up. Halloween and Fall was the time of year that you thrived in. The brisk air, the smells, and the coziness was just a few things you enjoyed with this time of year.

You had plans tonight with your roommate, Chris. You two were going to a Halloween party. You weren’t necessarily an extrovert like your counterpart but you didn’t mind going to a fun party for a little bit. Especially when it’s that dumb frat house. You couldn’t wait to see what costumes they were made to wear this year so you could silently make fun of the assholes.

Chris had mentioned taking her other friend with her, Dalton, but you weren’t too sure if he would come. You had only met him a few times and he was always extremely quiet. He definitely fit in with the whole starving artist cliche; but you didn’t mind it, he always listened to what you had to say and sometimes would carry the conversation. You couldn’t help but crush on him just a little bit but you’d be damned before telling Chris about it. You couldn’t imagine the absolute torment that girl would put you through.

You could tell in the few times you three hung out Dalton acted different with you. You weren’t sure if it was a good different or a bad different but you definitely noticed that his demeanor would change when you would join them. You had heard a couple of conversations exchanged between the two on the phone and most of the time he was cracking jokes and having fun with Chris; and then he would hear you laugh or shuffle around and he would go quiet. Chris claimed that it was because he was shy but you had feeling it was something different. False hope, right?

Maybe so.

“Y/N! Wake the hell up!” You hear Chris yell throughout the room as she busts in the door.

You turn your head away from the window and look at Chris with Dalton standing beside her with a coffee in his hand.

You give a small smile, “I am awake, excuse you!”

Dalton lightly pushes past Chris to hand you a coffee, “I got you one. I—I— uh— wasn’t sure if you liked coffee? But I thought I would get you one just in case,” he awkwardly smiles. You feel your heart beat skip a little and small blush creeping up from your neck towards your cheeks.

“I do like coffee, thank you.”

You glance behind Dalton to Chris and you see her with an inquisitive smirk on her face.

Oh shit.

Is she onto you?

No way.

You’re not that obvious.

“So,” Chris lightly claps her hands and makes her way to the bed and sits on the edge, “what’s your costume gonna be, Dolphin?”

Dalton shrugs his shoulders at her, “Dunno.”

She scoffs, “ you don’t know? C’mon! You must have something in mind!”

Again, Dalton shrugs his shoulders with a small exhale and no answer.

Chris gives up for the moment, “Fine. Y/N, what about you?”

“Okay, I have two options and I need your help picking one!”

Chris perks up, “The options are?”

Dalton makes his way to edge of the same bed as Chris and sits beside her patiently waiting for your options.

You run to your small closet space and take out the costumes. You remove them both from their bags so you can hold them up to your body.

“Option one is obviously sexy nurse! Classic, right?”

You hold the costume up to your body and make eye contact with Daltons wide eyes but you quickly subvert your gaze to Chris.

“Totally cute but so basic!” Chris laughs causing you to chuckle.

“Option two is cheerleader but with a twist. A dead cheerleader.”

You hold the short skirt up with your hands and tuck the shirt under your chin with a smile.

“Alright! We’re getting somewhere with that. Sexy but spooky!” Chris exclaims.

“So Chris votes for dead cheerleader!”

You look at Dalton who still has wide eyes but he’s expressionless.

You break him out of his daze, “Which one do you vote?”

He meets your eyes, “Uhm— which ever one you feel more comfortable in, I guess.”

“Dude you’ve gotta pick,” Chris lightly slaps his shoulder.

“I like the cheerleader idea,” he, again, shrugs his shoulders at you.

“Ha! Two votes dead cheerleader!” Chris screams.

“Dead cheerleader it is! Chris, what’s your costume?”

“Oh, I’m going as a pirate! The bandana was cute so.”

“Of course you bought a whole ass costume for a bandana,” you laugh.

“Now. It’s time for you,” Chris points at Dalton.

“Me? I already told you I’ve got nothing.”

“Don’t be boring, Dalton!” You say causing him to look back at you.

“I am not being boring. I just don’t have a costume.”

Chris quickly stands up with a mischievous smile on her face, “I have an idea!”

“Oh no,” you say.

“Oh yes! Wanna know what it is?” She raises her eyebrows, smirking.

“Not really. But I’m sure you’re gonna tell me any way,” Dalton unsuccessfully hides his annoyance.

“Dead football player!”

You scoff, “No way.”

“Way.”

“I am not dressing as a football player. Shoulder pads all night? Absolutely not.”

“Awh! It’ll be cute though! You two will match,” her devious smile returns and you see a shade of pink wash over Daltons face.

You decided to run with it, “I mean, she has a point. It would be kinda cute to match.”

Daltons eyes soften at your statement, “I don’t know.”

You sit down beside him and nudge him with puppy dog eyes, “Please? It could be fun, ya know.”

He looks down at you with a tight lipped smile, “ugh! Fine, I’ll be the dead football player.”

“Yes! This’ll be so much fun! We need to go get the costume! Daylight is burning!” Chris exclaims making her way towards Dalton and grabbing his hand which for some reason made you feel a twinge of jealousy.

“You guys go get the costume. I need to start getting ready,” you say with a small drop of bitterness that Chris didn’t seem to notice but Dalton did.

“You’re not coming?” He asks.

“Nah, I gotta get ready,” your tone is short.

“Okay, we will see you later then?”

“Yeah, I’ll see you later.”

They both exit the room and you start to put on your costume and your makeup. Close to an hour later you’re done with everything and you’re satisfied with the look. Dark eyeshadow and pale makeup to make you look like the life had drained out of you. Chris walks back in the room quickly and starts grabbing her costume to get ready. As you two finish up the looks you both look in the mirror together and smile.

“Damn! We look good!” Chris exclaims.

“Yeah, we do,” you say quietly, “I wonder how Dalton looks?”

“Why don’t you go check on him?”

“Yeah, maybe I should. He might need help with his makeup,” you say.

“Yeah, sure, help with his makeup,” Chris says with air quotations.

You look at her with mock confusion, “What does that mean?”

“Oh, nothing.”

You shrug pretending that you don’t know what she’s talking about and leave the room to go check on Dalton.

You lightly knock on his door, “who is it?”

“Uh— it’s Y/N!”

You hear shuffling as he comes to answer the door and you were met with Dalton in his costume with his hair half up in a small bun, you were pretty sure that your heart skipped a few beats when you met his eyes.

“Hey, come in,” he says quietly.

You step in and shut the door behind you, “I just wanted to make sure that you didn’t need any help.”

“Oh! I’m managing, do I look okay?”

You nod your head not being able to find any words.

Dalton chuckles lightly, “you sure? I know you and Chris are kinda picky.”

“I am so not picky!” You laugh.

“Ha, yeah, sure,” Dalton jokingly rolls his eyes at you.

“Anywhoo,” you sigh, “you look great Dalton.”

Dalton looks down at the ground trying to hide his slight blush from you.

“Hey guys!” Chris busts in the door interrupting you two from your little bit of flirtation, “I need help with— whoa! Dolphin! You look hot! Good for you.”

“Thanks.”

“What do you need help with?” You ask.

“Well, I need help with what boots I should wear? I need to capture the pirate vibes.”

You and Dalton help Chris pick out her boots and then you all head off to the party. The walk there made you feel like you were trick or treating again. The slight breeze nipping at your legs, goosebumps starting to creep down your appendages. You unsuccessfully hide a shiver and you feel an arm rest over your shoulders pulling you closer.

“Cold?” Dalton mutters, you almost couldn’t hear him.

You lean into his touch, “Yeah, I am,” you chuckle.

You catch Chris glance at you two with a small smile.

You all make it to the frat house and greeted with gross looking lime green Jell-O shots with gummy worms in it.

“Hello, ladies! Interested?” The young frat boy asks ignoring Dalton’s existence.

“No. We’re good,” you answer feeling Daltons arm move away from your shoulders. You almost shiver again from the cold wrapping it’s fingers around your shoulders, but you hide it. You three walk into the house met with the absolute ear shattering rap music playing in the background.

“I’M GONNA GET A DRINK FOR US!” Chris yells and you nod in response.

You make your way through the sea of bodies with Dalton closely behind slowly reaching the kitchen. You wanted to see what snacks they had because you were feeling a little hungry and the music wouldn’t be so blaringly loud there either.

You two make your way to kitchen and stand where someone wouldn’t be able to bump into you all. Dalton leans on the counter and you make your way to the snack bowls filled with wrapped candies and chips. You take a piece of candy and unwrap it looking at Dalton and offering him one, he declines.

“Nervous?” You say loud enough for him to barely hear.

“A little. I’ll be okay,” he gives you a small smile.

Chris approaches you two with drinks and you practically chug yours hoping to get tipsy quick. You were a lot more fun when you’re tipsy. Dalton takes a small sip of his, actually, you weren’t even sure if he sipped it. Finally, another song starts to play and you hear Chris say, “my jam! Come on, Y/N! Let’s go dance!”

You take her hand and you two run to dance. As you two were dancing you lose sight of Dalton thinking that he decided to leave. He wasn’t into parties any way and you were surprised he even came or dressed up for that matter. You go get another drink or two… or was it three?

You down them starting to feel it hitting your system. Your head and body becoming light and the room slightly spinning a bit. You keep dancing and laughing until you start to get vertigo.

You knew what was gonna happen next. You make a beeline upstairs to find a bathroom. You check each door to see if they’re unlocked. At the end of the hallway the last door opens and you find Dalton laying on the floor hyperventilating.

“Dalton?”

He quickly looks at you with wide eyes, “Y/N? Is that you?”

“Yeah, yeah. It’s me,” you rush over to him on the floor your nausea starting to dissipate and you start to feel sober from the pure adrenaline rushing through your veins, “are you okay?”

Dalton sits up, hair disheveled, “Yeah, fine. I got too drunk I think.”

He wasn’t drunk. You knew that. He barely even sipped his cup but you didn’t want to push when he was clearly shaken up like this.

“Oh, seeing shit?”

“Yeah, seeing shit.”

You look away from him and stare at the wall in silence. You can feel the vibrations of the bass from the loud music in the living room but for some reason you were comfortable. Quaint, even. You wanted to say something to him but you didn’t know what to say. You and him have hung out and talked alone and even had deep conversations before even with the few times you’ve talked to each other. You couldn’t help but wonder if he felt the same way about you.

You weren’t sure if it was from the alcohol and the second hand smoke from the marijuanna filling your system but you had a sudden burst of confidence. You look over at him and catch him staring at you.

“Shit, sorry,” he readjusts himself on the floor sinking down further.

“No, it’s okay. Is there something wrong with my outfit?” You glance down to see if you had spilled something or even puked on yourself without knowing it.

“No! There’s nothing wrong at all!” You could tell he’s holding something back but he speaks again leaving you practically speechless, “you look beautiful.”

As you were sitting down the intoxication has slowly started taking over again. You didn’t want to speak because you knew that what you had to say would be something stupid but your brain couldn’t control what you say, “No. no. You look beautiful, Dalton!”You let out a bubbly laugh.

He raises an eyebrow, “How much have you had to drink?”

You look at him with doe eyes feigning innocence, “Oh you know— not much.”

“Not much?”

“Nope! Maybe one drink? If that!”

“Right,” he chuckles.

You laugh with him and look back at him taking in his features despite your drunken haze. He had a slight 5’oclock shadow and his hair had a little bit of wave to it from the heat of the house.

“What?” He asks.

“Nothing. Just taking in the view,” the small portion of your brain that was becoming sober wishes it could slap you in the face, “a nice view.”

“Yeah, okay, I’m calling it. Let’s get you back, huh?”

“Aw! I don’t wanna go yet. It’s just getting started!”

Dalton stands up and holds out his hand for you to take which you unwillingly do. He starts to lead you out of the house trying to catch a sight of Chris. He pinpoints her standing in the kitchen eating some chips.

“Hey, I’m gonna get her back to the dorms! She’s smashed,” Dalton exclaims.

“Hey! I’m not that bad!”

“Okay, I’m gonna stay here a bit. I’ll see you all later,” she waves you both off.

Dalton tightens his grip on your hand slightly and leads you out of the house.

“Shit! It’s cold!” You wrap your arms around yourself.

“Sure is. Let’s go.”

You and Dalton make your way back to the dorms trying to ignore the annoyingly freezing temperature outside. You were sure you would get a cold from this. You two finally make it back and Dalton walks you to the door.

“Before I go, do you need anything? Water?”

You flop on your bed and take a deep breath. You lean up a bit so you could look at Dalton balancing on your forearms, “I hate to ask but water sounds pretty good. If you don’t mind?”

“Of course I don’t mind,” He walks over to your mini fridge and grabs a bottled water and opens it for you, “small sips, okay? We don’t need you getting sick.”

You heart flutters at his low voice filled with so much love and care for you. Even if he liked you or didn’t he was a good friend.

“Thank you,” you sip on your water.

Dalton sits there for a second making sure that you are able to keep the water down and you lay back down.

“I gotta get this makeup off,” you groan.

Dalton stands up and walks over to your makeup bag and grabs a few makeup wipes. He hands them to you and you start wiping your face, “don’t be alarmed when you see me without makeup. I look like an actual goblin.”

“Don’t say that about yourself.”

“Listen, I know truth is truth,” you smile at him.

“You’re perfect, Y/N.”

You wipe the last bit of makeup off your face, “You’re sweet and all but you don’t have to lie.”

“I’m not lying.”

You turn to look at him again, “You really think I’m pretty?” Shit. Here comes the drunk man’s words.

“Yes. And so much more.”

You felt it. The word vomit starts to seep out of your mouth.

“I like you, Dalton. Like, like you.”

Dalton sits there for a second trying to calculate the right words to say. He didn’t really know how to answer that. He liked you too but did he want to take it to the next step? This could not only jeopardize you and him but also Chris.

“Dalton,” you lean back up and place your hand on his warm flushed cheek, “say something.”

“I—I don’t know what to say,” he genuinely admits.

The liquid courage was still hitting you almost full force as you lean in. Dalton is quick to stand up leaving you disappointed in his rejection.

“Not like this,” he whispers.

“But I like you?”

“I like you too! But you’re intoxicated.”

You felt tears well up in your eyes but you push them back, “it’s okay. Thank you for walking me back and the water,” you raise your bottled water in the air.

“Y/N, I didn’t mean it like that,” he huffs out air, “I just don’t want to take advantage of you.”

“No, no, I get it. Have a good night Dalton. I’m tired. I’ll see you tomorrow, okay?”

Dalton gives in, “I’ll see you tomorrow,” and with that he walks away.

After you hear the soft click of your door you cover up not bothering to take your costume off and lay your head on the pillow accidentally letting a tear escape as you start to drift off.

You wake up the next morning with vague memories from the night before and a pounding headache. You check your phone to see what the time was. It read 11:20AM and you saw a few messages from Dalton.

“I’m sorry that I hurt your feelings.”

“It wasn’t my intention.”

“I like, like you too.”

You put your phone down and lay your head back on the pillow and sigh loudly.

“What are you sighing about, grumpy?”

You weren’t sure if you wanted to tell Chris about it yet. You were afraid it might hurt your friendship with her and Dalton. You wanted to tell her she was your best friend but… you just weren’t sure. You laid there in silence for what felt like hours but it was only a few seconds before Chris raised up a bit and turned on her side to look at you. You didn’t want to look at her because you knew if you did then you’d tell her everything that went down. Even though, most of your memories were coming back in as quick flashes.

Your phone lights up again and curiosity definitely killed the car when you picked it up to see who it was.

Dalton.

“Wanna get lunch?”

Your eyes widened without you even noticing, “Who was it?”

“When’d you become so nosy, Chris?”

“No reason. Just curious, I guess?”

She was obvious. Too obvious. Had she caught on?

You give in a little, “It’s Dalton.”

“Dolphin? What’d he say?” Her tone was excitement. Too excited.

“He asked if I wanted to get lunch with him.”

Chris fully raises up and dangles her legs off the edge of the bed, “No way!”

“Way.”

“Well? You should go!”

“You think?”

“Yes! You two would be so cute together!”

You were shocked by her positive reaction. Chris was a very supportive friend and was happy for you in any situation but you didn’t expect her to fully support you being in a relationship with Dalton.

You decided to agree so you message him back, “Sure!”

He messages back almost instantly, “Meet me at my dorm in about an hour.”

“I have an hour to get ready. I’m still in my Halloween costume!”

You hadn’t even noticed that you were still in your costume that smelled weird from the night before.

Chris practically jumps off the bed and claps her hands from excitement and jogs to your closet space to find you the perfect outfit while you gather your shower supplies.

After you shower and get ready you take a quick glance in the mirror admiring the outfit Chris chose for you.

“Are you ready, cutie?”

You laugh, “Not really. But I guess I’m as ready as I’ll ever be.”

“Don’t be nervous! He really likes you.”

Your breath catches in your throat, “He does?”

“Uh— yeah. He fricken adores you, dude.”

You smile at her and grab your things to head out. You say your goodbyes to Chris and make your way down to Daltons dorm. You lightly knock on the door.

Dalton answers with a small smile, “Hey.”

“Hey.”

“Come in.”

You walk in and you can smell the scent of his cologne, “Let’s just address the elephant in the room. I was really drunk last night and whatever I did or said I’m sorry.”

“No, no! It’s no problem. You were pretty gone last night. I’m surprised you even remember most of it.”

“Yeah… I remember.”

“I’m sorry for hurting your feelings. I just—” he stutters “— I just didn’t wanna take advantage of you.”

“Thank you for that. Really. Thank you, that was so beyond sweet,” you continued, “and I was a little asshole about it.”

Dalton chuckles and scratches the back of his neck awkwardly, “It’s okay.”

“But nevertheless I meant what I said.”

You take a step closer to him and he answers, “me too.”

You smile, “you know,” you hesitate, “you can kiss me now, if you want.”

Dalton takes the invitation and gently places his hand on your cheek and leans in touching your nose and staying there for a second or two just savoring the moment; so you make the move and connect your lips with his. You could tell he was nervous with shaky hands and not knowing exactly where to place them. He decides on placing them on your waist to pull you in closer. You then moved your hands behind his neck and through his hair. You felt like your world was spinning, fires were igniting, and fireworks were going off all at the same time. The kiss was damn near perfect and you weren’t sure if this would ever be topped.

You two separate for a second to breathe but you both end up chuckling from pure bliss. You both stand there for a second and just breathe, taking in each others scent and happiness. You looked into his eyes and you weren’t sure if there was anyone prettier or more perfect than he was.

You break the silence, “I have waited so long for that.”

“Me too.”

“I like, like you, Dalton,” was the next sentence you muttered not sure of what else to say.

“I like, like you too,” he laughs.

Nothing was never going to compare to this moment, this time of year, the person you were with. Nothing would compare to him. You felt like he was your sun, your moon, your stars, your galaxies, and everything in between.

This was gonna be a Halloween you’d never forget.

a/n: so i rewatched grease for the millionth time, which explains this. take these headcanons while i get to requests!

i’d also like to say, thank you for the immense support on my last post! i’ve had a lot of free time recently so i’ve been writing nonstop. hope you guys to continue to enjoy my work.

Having a greaser boyfriend named Steve Harrington:

- He’s definitely got like 70 different hair products and gel. You know all his hair secrets, and he’s made you swear to not tell anyone them.

- At your place, he’s stashed at least 12 different hair products in your bathroom sink cabinet so that he never has to worry about his hair.

- You bought him a leather jacket for his birthday one year and he’s barely taken it off since. Only to wash it.

- He wears a lot of black and constantly complains about the heat — but when you try to make him wear clothing of any other color, he throws a fit and claims that it ruins his intimidating image.

- He has a motorcycle, but is clueless when it comes to using it. He scares you shitless every time he pulls into your driveway, revving the bike loudly, and nearly falling off in the process.

- He annoyingly revs his car wherever you guys go, but when you glare at him — both him and the car go quiet.

- Your dad let you keep his old 1970 Dodge Challenger, which is in pristine condition — and Steve insists that he drives it instead of you every time.

- He acts like he’s the shit around everyone until you show up.

- You caught him bullying a freshman once. You made him write an apology and get the kid some candy.

- He’s seemingly irritated all the time, but the moment you two are alone he’s practically melting into you. A total sweetheart.

- “Can you rub my back?”

- “Can I have a kiss, please?”

- “Can I lay with you?”

- Sometimes he chooses not to use his words, kind’ve like a cat rubbing up against someone as a way of asking for attention.

- He’ll lay on top of you, caressing your arms, and kissing whatever he can reach.

- “Steve, baby, you’re stabbing me with your elbow.” “Mmm.” “I swear to god, Steven — “

- He struggles in his classes sometimes because he’s too busy trying to be cool — and he misses the entire lesson. You do his homework every once in a while.

- If there’s a test coming up, he suggests that you two study together — but you guys just end up making out all night.

- Not a lot of people know you two are dating, but when someone gets suspicious, Steve always has some stupid plan.

- A girl had somewhat caught on to the fact that you two were a thing, so you fake fought each other in the cafeteria. not without making it extremely dramatic.

- “You want some of this, Harrington?!”

- “I’ll beat you to a pulp, L/N!”

- He was offered a cigarette once by one of the other greasers he hangs around, and immediately coughed and choked on the smoke. He came to you whining about how embarrassing it was.

- He only ever smokes around his asshole friends though, never around you.

- He lets you style his hair on the days that you two decide to stay home.

- One time he tried to dress you up in his greaser get up. Leather jacket, slicked hair, and all. He got jealous because he thought everything looked better on you.

- On the days that he can’t come over — he calls you to tell you about all the drama. Who got who pregnant, who cheated on who with who, and who’s banging who’s momma.

- He steals your jewelry and proceeds to flaunt it like it’s his.

- Sometimes he steals one of your shirts and wears it under the leather jacket. He zips it up to keep his aesthetic going — but he likes knowing that he’s carrying something of yours with him.

- bonus: He loves the movie “Grease” and sings all the songs to you.

MOTS ON:E DVD Pt. 2

This package was released in September 2021 and covers the online concerts performances filmed on 201010 and 201011. There are 3 DVDs included in this package. The first 2 DVDs cover the actual concert in full from 201010. The 2nd DVD also includes the last part of that day 1 concert as well as day 2s solo stages. Disc 3 includes the merch and poster making film and VCR making film, the Rehersals and practice making films and the concert d-day making film. (300 minutes in total from all 3 DVDs.) You can find my post over the first 2 discs here. And Disc 3 is what I'll cover in this post. Reminder again that this is simply me bullet point talking about this as I go basically, like I'm reacting to a friend. Lol I'll also add here that I found a link on YouTube for the whole 3rd DVD as well that you can all watch. It only goes up to 360p but it's Still pretty good!

Merch and Poster Making Film:

The DVD opens with everyone's individual shoot in a backstage setting for their concert merch. Namjoon telling us about how sad he is that his cherry blossoms haven't bloomed yet on his tree. He is a precious soul. 🥺 NamKookMin in a unit. And so cute. Lol jikooks constant giggles and bickering and the way Jimin pinched JKs nipple so JK pinched his upper thigh and their constant touching. Lmfao Joonie asking to be saved 🤣 "who put me In a unit with these two" will always be so hysterical

They did their shoots for their poster in October 2019. They shot in front of different backdrops while standing in water and they looked so pretty. And then we of course have jikook posing separately in front of some of the backdrops and taking photos of each other for themselves. Lol very cute. And Hobi just watching them giggling.

And when they shot silhouette shots, Hobi asked if ARMY would be able to tell who was who and they started making guesses. And JK just goes "anyone would be able to tell Jimin is right there" 🥺 They did the next shoot in front of an all white backdrop. Lol Everyone teasing about their running poses and Tae taking a photo of Jins silly running pose to keep too 🤣 and everyone kept crashing into each other 😭🤣 and then the softest moment ever in their shoot on the sand. When the director asked JK to please relax his eyes a bit, Jimin goes "just a sec" and then gently makes eye contact with JK and rubs at his neck before JK does soften and then he goes "yeah" and they get back to shooting. Like omg?? Jimin softened him right up and JK clearly loves him so much. And that just felt like SUCH a moment?! One that is so underrated.

VCR Making Film:

VCR was filmed sometime in early 2020, according to their hair colors/styles. JinKook immediately bickering and play fighting and kicking each other. Lmao as always. It's their love language. And Yoongi being so flabbergasted yet endeared by Jins craziness. Lol JK saying that he hopes that even when Jin hyung is 60 he would play around with him like that 😭🥺

During a break in the shoot, they start teasing Jimin about No More Dream MV. And then JK just says how he was at home with Jimin and Jimin brought up No More Dream so they started watching the old MV together. Lol they are just literally ALWAYS together, at home together too. 🥺

Namjoon saying his solo VCR shot is one he is thinking of as a clash of his persona and his ego from within. Jungkook saying his is a reflection of the Jung Kook inside him and the Jungkook of BTS. Taekook filming their scenes with the paint was so cute. Lol I still don't get the purpose but I enjoyed it. The staff telling JK to hold on and be still afterwards but he can't help acting really silly and ended up with a mouthful of paint anyway 😅😂 the consequences of your own actions lmfao. He then changes and moves to shoot for his My Time solo of the VCR with clocks for a "boy experiences time difference." Jimin then does his Filter solo shoot for the VCR and Yoongi isn't even there but he is still trying to pick fights 😂 "shouldn't we break things. Im better at breaking things then yoongi" Lmfao Jimin said his concept for that VCR video was about youth.

Jimin opening day 3 of VCR shooting with the film to play after they Dance to Black Swan and his solo dance. And he says he tried to portray turning into a black swan so wretchedly broken. 😭 he did. The emotions! And he is also just so beautiful and cute while shooting. Yoongi said he shot his where he was looking into his own shadow. Tae playing with the ball on his solo set and saying he wants to give it to his little cousin. 😭 V with kids hurts me, it's so precious. My heart! And the way the members all teased their eldest hyungs with the closing marks. Lmao Suga trying to make them all jump to go to the next segment and then Jin trying to do it too, but then the other 5 just kicking them out of frame like they disappeared on their own 🤣

Practice Making Film:

These days were all filmed sometime during the month of September 2020 I believe. Jikooks matching ponytails era. Lol Jungkookie giving out encouraging butt patts before practice starts 🤣 One of my favorite things about practice making films is seeing Dance Leader Hobi as well as Jimin giving up advice and suggestions. Our main dancers 😍 Lol they work so hard honestly yet still have fun! Jimin crawling on the crowd to the beat and JK smacking his ass to the beat while everyone else just stares. No one knows what they are doing either 🤣🤣

The next days practice staring off with the Boy with Luv umbrellas and Jinkook play fighting with them. "Practice starts off with more bickering between the youngest and oldest." Lol we know editors. It's their love language. Vmins smiles as they play with the umbrella. "Two people who can have the most fun with a single umbrella." Editors so cute. JK starting another day of practice off by picking up all the other members to help them stretch. Lol it was so cute. He is so strong!! Jin offering to do it for JK only to give up before even picking him up at all 🤣 Poor Jungkookie. And the way they all practice standing and jumping over the backup dancers. Lol Jimin feels so bad about it. He keeps shouting sorry! And even tried to go brush off their backs after JK stepped on them too 🤣🤣 He is such a sweetheart. JK moving Jimin away and back to his spot too lmao Its the hand on the waist 🥺 plus I love that this practice has them in full black and white feets. Literally had to toe to mask. Lol

Tae holding onto Hobi for hugs and cuddles. GOD THEY ARE SO CUTE. Jikook joining vhope all sitting together in the corner (our vhopeminkook cuddle line) and are all just playing with a go pro. Lol JK is so cute with it too, zooming into everyone's face. Then we get shots over several days of them practicing their solo stages. And God i love seeing them dance and work so hard. I'm obsessed with all of them. Plus still having fun. Hobi DYING laughing on the floor watching Maknae line perform Ego for him. Lol and then the beautiful vocals we got blessed with when Tae decides to join JK and they sing My Time together during one of his practices. Jikook play boxing together while the rappers practice Ugh. I relate. That IS the mood it creates. Vmin making up cute dances together and Joonie coping it too. Lol

They all gather again to do a full practice run through of the whole concert and they are so all looking so cute. Hobi's outfits are always so on point! 5 of them all in matching mastermind fits (2seok the only ones not in it). I believe this was at the very end of September 2020, same day Jikook posted at 4am. Maybe? Correct me if that's not right!

JinKook once again fighting as everyone else warms up. It IS their warm up I guess. Why are they all warming up by crawling around on all 4s. Lol Everyone exhausted after practicing their intense choreo and jikook just resting together so cutely. Jimin laying in JKs lap. Oof. And then joking around and untying his shoe before leaving lol

Jin and JK sprinting like crazy around the practice room because Jin was trying to take JKs ponytail out. Do those 2 never get tired?!! I love seeing that JK helped make the choreo for My Time himself too. That's honestly SO COOL. And Hobi getting SO EXCITED during Jimins filter practice. Lol Tae giggling like crazy and Hobi whooping during THAT moment. Lol and Hobi even shouting out to JK after too. Literally why 🤣 post over that here.

They really are each other's fanboys. I love it. Jin saying he is worried about having to perform after Jimin does because his was so good and everyone hyping him up. He really did perfect and shouldn't have worried at all! Tae joining in for the Ego dance with the backup dancers and continuing after to show Hobi his dance. Vhope really are so cute. 2seok joking about greeting each other with the Ego/Moon dance moves from now on too. Lol and practice continues straight into day 2 the very next day. Namjoon stretching and jikook being the embodiment of monkey see monkey do.

Jimin needing to take off his shoes super quick between Black swan and his solo Black Swan dance as the group disperses. Lol the way he throws both his shoes and socks at Tae 🤣 Tae running off the "stage" with his stuff yelling the whole time that he was supposed to give one to Namjoon too, not just him 🤣🤣 and Jimin trying not to laugh as he starts his very serious contemporary emotional dance. Lol I love them so much. AND THE WAY JIMIN PRACTICES FILTER WITH REAL PEOPLE AND NOT FAKE ONES. How did one get THAT job?! Lol the way he tried desperately to change his clothes so fast but couldn't make it. Lol the members giggles watching him try to strip so fast 😅🤣 and the way a member or two joins Hobi's Ego practices EVERY SINGLE TIME! And the film ends with Jikooks no more dream iconic lift. Except instead of running along everyone's back, JK just picks Jimin up with EASE and carries him spinning down the line. Lol their SMILES. (Gif from this moment is the very first one in the post)

Chapter 68 Analysis

It’s new chapter time!! And boy, was this a good one! I haven’t been this excited about the next chapter in quite some time, but that’s how you know for sure that we’re definitely in the climax of the story!

Also, this gif totally was my vibe while reading this chapter.

Without further ado, let’s delve in!

Call it Tsubasa PTSD if you wish, but seeing a absolutely adorable color page always has me worried that something bad is about to happen. Lmao! CLAMP has a tendency to give us these really heart warming pictures before crushing our hearts, but I’m going to have faith that there is a different meaning here. Perhaps this is to remind us of Syaoran’s promise to not let Sakura become unhappy. Or perhaps it is also a reminder of what Sakura said when she made the new Mirror card. She said she wished she could look in the mirror and see herself the way everyone else does. And in a way, Syaoran becomes her mirror in this chapter, but I’ll delve into that a bit more further into this analysis.

The chapter starts off very similarly to the ending of chapter 50 where Momo narrates and asks what happiness is to her, and how it is that she can always believe everything will be all right even during times of hardship. ‘Alice’ comes to on a gondola-like boat moving down a calm stream between two huuuuuuge shelves containing thousands of books (I wish I had a library like that). I love CLAMP’s landscape designs once again, but the incorporation of the trees is quite nice here. It gives the vibe that this library is not just full of books but is alive.

The Red Queen asks ‘Alice’ whose voice she heard and asked if it was something important. Something flashes across her face that indicates that perhaps for a moment, a brief moment, Sakura is starting to remember who she is. The smile in particular feels much more like herself than the character of ‘Alice’. And it seems practically confirmed that she did have a brief glimpse of self recognition based on ‘Mr. Cat’/Kaito’s brooding expression and clenched fists. Lol!

Kaito seems most displeased and doesn’t hesitate to let Momo know he doesn’t appreciate it by asking her not to give Sakura any more hints. He also reminds her that she’s supposed to not assist the characters in the book. Momo explains that it’s ‘narration’ she’s helping move things along by facilitating and not assisting in any way. Lol. Kaito gives his usual smile at her scolding, which is so weird on Syaoran’s face, and I feel this is his way of covering up how irritated he actually is by this. Hahahaha. He lets Momo know he’s still not particularly happy about it, but decides to let it go for now so they can continue following them.

‘Alice’ comments on all the books surrounding them, and the Red Queen states that books are incredibly important in this land, and that they have always been there for her. As we know, it was shown many many chapters ago (our first glimpse of Akiho’s past) how she had no friends as a child, and books were her only friends, so it seems almost like a flash of the real Akiho here. She’s still in there, though not out quite yet.

However, these books in this library are no ordinary books. The Red Queen explains that each book holds a person’s memories and serves as a record. They contain a person’s feelings, hopes, and even the magic they created. I am totally creeped out by this because we know Akiho’s Clan (aka the Squid Clan or Asshats), performed a spell on Akiho so that she would absorb the contents of all grimoires that pass before her and engrave them on her very soul. She is an artifact meant to absorb magic, so all of these books….are potentially magic and memories she’s stolen (unconsciously I’m sure) from people. And that’s absolutely horrifying to think about. I figured she had absorbed a lot of magic from people, but that is way more than I ever imagined, so it’s no wonder why she’s so close to breaking!

This also brings another theory to mind. Since we know they are in the Alice in Clockland book, I find this fascinating how when Akiho tried to absorb Sakura before in the pool chapter, it was pages of a book that sprung from her feet to capture her to ‘bring her magic inside the book’. And now that we know what else the Alice in Clockland book contains (memories), this leads me to believe that the book isn’t just something that Akiho owns, but is a reflection of her own soul. And currently, it is writing Sakura’s story within it to ‘record’ it too (this is a theory, so I’m not stating anything definitively here). This might explain why Akiho can read the book when no one else can, why she dreams of the stories within its pages, why Kaito seems to be so invested in Sakura’s life and history, and even why Momo said before that they were synchronizing. What if Sakura’s story and magic are being written inside of the book that is Akiho’s soul? The one that was considered a ‘blank book’ by her clan before. What if they actually turned her soul into a book so it could literally be written upon?

Sakura seems confused by the name of the book, as she still is recognizing herself as ‘Alice’ and asks Akiho if she is the Red Queen. She states she does not remember who she was before she came to Clockland, but that she remembers she had a very special person and that ‘Alice’ has a name more befitting of who she is. The Red Queen begins to lift her veil, and it seems in that moment that she has returned to being Akiho and is bringing Sakura back to remembering her own self. @meimi-haneoka also mentions in the Japanese version that the font changes in her speech, which collaborates with Akiho coming back to herself (strong girl!).

However, it seems it wasn’t needed as Syaoran comes to the rescue, shouting her name loudly and cutting through the world to get to her (I love how the cuts reveal book pages. Guess Syaoran skipped a few chapters. Hahaha). Kaito is quick to respond to this interruption and he applauds him for managing to not get kicked out of the world by the trickery he pulled earlier using Mirror. He states that only one cat can be here right now, and he lunges forward to try and grab Syaoran. But suddenly, Syaoran seems to vanish in his grip and the light left behind zooms behind Kaito to..Syaoran? That’s right everyone, Syaoran fooled Kaito using Mirror, and I am absolutely living for it. Like, I am so proud of my boy, I can’t even. What a freaking 1000 IQ move.

Sakura calls out his name, indicating she is fully herself now, and Syaoran apologizes for his late appearance (not that he needed to, since he totally made up for everything in that moment). Sakura shakes her head and gets emotional (man, I would too) about how she couldn’t remember who she was until he called her name (which is exactly why Kaito wanted him to stay away!). Syaoran continues being cool af by telling her that she will only ever be Sakura to him and no one else, which seems to reassure Sakura that everything will be okay. It’s almost like he was telling her “I will always help you find your way back”.

Kaito returns to his usual form, but potentially not by his own doing? He states that Syaoran didn’t just retrieve the Sakura card version of Mirror, but that he also dispelled the illusion created by the new Mirror. It’s unclear if Syaoran forced this change on his own or if just happened by default due to Kaito’s ‘attack’ on him. Momo had mentioned before that even the slightest of magic tricks could ruin his disguise, so it’s possible.

Syaoran is looking up at him rather intensely, and Kaito starts to analyze Syaoran again, praising him for a moment at his magical growth, before stating personal details about him. I swear to god, Kaito get so chatty when he’s around Syaoran, and I find it so fascinating to observe. I speak a lot more on this particular subject in my post titled “Syaoran and Kaito Analysis” which you can find here. It has definitely been observed by me and others that Kaito particularly likes to bring up details about Syaoran’s life to him, and it’s unclear exactly why he does this, but it’s entirely different from how he interacts with other people, and I love it.

Technically, he mentioned Syaoran’s mother and her divination skills once before, but since time was turned back the last time they fought, Syaoran actually doesn’t remember this conversation, so it is a bit of a repeat now. However, he does actually say something not entirely confirmed before but now is. He confirms for us that Akiho’s clan (the Asshats) takes particular interest in the Li clan and despises them due to their connections to Clow Reed. Now, this was implied before in Akiho’s first backstory chapter where the clan was ranting about Syaoran’s birth and how they felt they were being beat by the Li Clan due to Akiho being the only child of the same age and having no magic of her own. It was very likely this anger over Syaoran is what stirred them to do what they did to Akiho, but having Kaito confirm this just gives it another creepy factor. I mean, in a nutshell he just told Syaoran “I know this information about you because this magical family who hates your family stalks the ever living shit out of you”. Being “famous” to a clan that hates you is not a good thing at all. Not good indeed….

But Kaito doesn’t say much more and flashes his pocket watch, claiming that Syaoran cannot stay here. His pocket watch looks more broken than ever, a metaphor for his life, and it really seems he doesn’t have much time left. Syaoran, not sure of what is coming, uses Mirror to copy Flight, and OMG THE RESULTS ARE SO FREAKING COOL. SYAORAN, WHY ARE YOU SO COOL IN THIS CHAPTER?!! He forms really cool looking wings made of glass, which resemble the glass pieces that stem from the Mirror card’s back, and Flight respectfully goes to both Sakura and Akiho. I was seriously wondering how much Mirror would be able to help him last chapter, but holy moly is he making amazing use of her.

The chapter ends with an intense stare down between the boys and Syaoran making a declaration that he will definitely bring Sakura (and Akiho implied too in the Japanese version) back with him, which obviously goes against Kaito’s master plan. It seems obvious the next chapter is going to include an epic fight between these two again, and I cannot wait!!!

I also cannot forget to mention Akiho’s sudden quietness once Syaoran appears. Her lack of reaction and the fact that CLAMP specifically keeps her face concealed has me incredibly concerned that she’s gone into ‘book-mode’ and that will certainly complicate matters in the next chapter if so. GOD, I’M SO EXCITED.

ANIME REACTION YUBISAKI TO RENREN Episode 3

Okay, onwards I will try to catch up to this and Dungeon Meshi cause there're quite a lot of episodes out already. You may notice I would be uploading more than one episode reaction per week for these series in particular. I want to be at least caught up in reacting to these two because they are of this season's releases.

I noticed this is already rated 8.9 in MAL. That's quite high, guys. Well, let's see if the ratings live up to my standards. As I've said before, romance genres are not my favorite. This is usually because they're either unrealistic or at the very least the characters feel like they have no substance. Romcom genres are different because they have the other goal of making the audience laugh. But romance... there should be intense emotions involved, plus it is based on real life occurence. Judging from the first 2 episodes alone, I am giving this series like a 7/10. For now that is the benchmark rating.

I want to see a bit of drama or conflict developing between these characters because that's how things realistically happen in real life and I think this anime is trying to gauge to that realistic view of romance, hopefully. And then, I can rate it higher depending on how good the conflict is written and delivered in animation. So yeah, I'll see.

I listened to the opening again, and I truly, truly hope this anime will tug my heartstrings cause the opening surely has. The song is just fcking beautiful. I feel like I want to cry listening to it.

He's not wrong, to be honest. Meeting up with a guy at night these days is not very safe for girls. And she's deaf, so that's even more risky for her to go out on her own. She should at least go with someone she trusts.

Mm. I strongly resonate with his line of thought here. I know several friends who have gone to live or work abroad either because they want to live in a different culture, or they believe they will like living there. Personally, I think there are plenty of great things nearby, that you don't need to go so far to feel complete or to enjoy. Perhaps it's because they haven't found it in their motherland, that they seek for it in other lands and hope to live their best. But if they never tried to see everything their original home has to offer, it makes me think how can they truly appreciate other cultures and countries?

I ain't talking about people who have nowhere else to go though.

It seems things are looking like Itsuomi's taking a step. A small step towards making this romance fly. And there's this lady who I hope her character will be given some depth, and that she's not just a desperate girl clinging to her guy friend. I can't wait for them to show the reason why she and Yuki's male friend fell for the main characters. I wanna know. Here goes me getting into the next episode then. Maybe I'm a little glad that I stayed behind in watching these episodes so I can binge more. Hmhm.

[ . . . the moment he saw you, he was head over heels and wanted to get to know you more. when he found out that you were older than him by two years, it honestly didn't phase him that much. surprised, but not exactly taken aback. genuinely thought you were the same age as him but is overall not too worried about the age gap. one day though, you were talking about one of your guy friends who is the same age as you. the way you spoke highly of him, well it got hyunsuk a little insecure. it made him think that you like people who are the same age or older and once you noticed how quiet he got, he was quick to cover all his emotions up and made a simple joke out of the whole situation. "oh, so you like older people, huh?" "uh... not really, i actually like you, hyunsuk." "uh what? (；´д｀)ゞ" til this day, you make fun of him for that joke. let's just say that hyunsuk was hittin' the dougie straight up LMAO

[ . . . everyone knows that park jihoon likes you, and you like him so why was he feeling down when he saw you with your guy's mutual friend, who he knows is the same age as you? jihoon's usually pretty confident in himself and he honestly took that whole encounter as a sign to just confess already. why best around the bush? his confession was sincere and full of love but there's was just something... off, almost like vulnerable. it wasn't something you seen often from him but that made you accept his confession even quicker. you do take the time to sit him down and ask what's up. at first, he brushes it off but once you tell him that he could tell you anything... boy would not shut his mouth LOL it all worked out in the end because you shut him up with a big ol' kiss (ㅅ´ ˘ `)♡

✶ kanemoto yoshinori.

[ . . . at first, he wasn't phased about your small age gap but he soon because the color green whenever he saw you with that one coworker. he wanted to talk to you about it but then he felt like he didn't have the right because technically, you weren't together. yoshi swallowed his pride because the thought of losing you to someone else especially when you like him back was way bigger than his ego and pride. talked to you in the softest voice, so soft that you almost didn't hear him. once the words "i like you, y/n" tumbled past his lips, you had to do a double take, "come again?" you ask him and his cheeks turn red awwwww after confessing though, he felt more secure in your relationship. safe to say that he was the color pink now (•ө•)♡

✶ kim junkyu.

[ . . . genuinely thought you didn't like him back and made up this whole narrative about how you like those who are older than you rather than younger and that you'd never date someone like him. you'd honestly need to make the first move because he's certain that you only like him platonically. as you can tell, this man is wayyyy insecure. he dug himself this little pouch insecurities and got way to comfortable in it. "kyu, you know i like you right?" "yeah, of course y/n. we're friends :)" "no kyu, i like LIKE you!" man fr is clueless for a second, needs a second to take in what just happened. once he's good, he looks exactly like (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و ﾖｼ!

[ . . . pretty secure with himself tbh. i don't really see mashi getting insecure but if he does, he bottles it up and stashes it away deep in his brain. once you've gotten into a relationship with one another, he totally forgets the small insecurities he felt because his love for you definitely overpowers it! he usually brings it up once he's over the whole ordeal and makes a joke about it. "before we got together, i thought you fr liked older guys hehe" "hUH WHAT?" though he doesn't need or ask you to, you're showering this boy in love, praise, and all the above to shows that you love him for him! :3

✶ yoon jaehyuk.

[ . . . so smiley all the time, you don't even realize that he's practically melting inside because of how sad he is. an absolute kicked puppy if he sees you being buddy-buddy with someone your age. you started to notice that he gets less affectionate after he sees you with that person. it started off as less texts and calls, he stopped linking his arms with yours, he would find any excuse to not hang out. def got sick of it and called him out, "if this is your way of saying you don't like me anymore, that's okay but i'd rather you tell me to my face." you were beyond pissed and upset because of this whole situation and it was so silent that you could even hear hyuk's heart crack :< "y/n, i like you so much it hurts. i just thought you didn't like me because of our age difference ( ᵒ̴̶̷̥́ _ᵒ̴̶̷̣̥̀ )" you literally giggled because you never even worried about your age difference. made sure to make it crystal clear that you like him for him, not because of some age T^T

Being a witch has nothing to do with your quirk, you just like practicing the dark arts and witchy things.

I'm not going to mention what your quirk is, so you can imagine that you have whatever quirk you want, or you can imagine yourself as someone without a quirk.

💀 Tokoyami had been fascinated with your hobby of witchcraft ever since he met you. He was most fascinated with the fact that your actual quirk has nothing to do with how your witchcraft works.

🕯 He had already thought you were cute before, and he had been in that time of his life where he was starting to question his sexuality a little- but after you showed him your witchy interests, he fell hard for you.

💀 He may be a dark and edgy birb boi, but he's also quite shy and awkward. He probably would have never confronted you about his crush if you hadn't told him your feelings for him first.

🕯 When y'all started dating, literally everyone was like "FINALLY!!" cuz it was super obvious that the two of you were meant for each other.

💀 When it comes to what type of witch you are, i'd say you're a witch of all traits.

-You love dark and spooky things, but you also love pastel colors and nature.

-Your room in the class 1A dorm is most likely full of plants, candels, a variety of antiques and trinkets, and shit that you can't buy at stores until it's around Halloween time.

🕯 Tokoyami likes to ask many questions about all of the different types of things you do, and he actually pays attention and is super interested. You'll even teach him some new things, and show him how to do them himself.

💀 You love Dark Shadow as much as you love Tokoyami himself. Though they're both very different in personality, you find them both charming and adorable (despite them both saying they're not "adorable," they're dark and spoopy lmao).

🕯 He also loves your animal familiar.

-Your familiar rarely comes out of your bedroom. Since you're dating Tokoyami, you allow him in your room (which means a lot more than he probably thinks it does, cuz spaces where witches do their magic and recharging are very sacred to them) so he gets to see your familiar quite often.

💀 It's rare for familiars to show affection to anyone that isn't their bonded witch, but your familiar absolutely loves Tokoyami.

-They'll hop onto his lap immediately as soon as he sits down in your room.

🕯 Both you and Tokoyami thrive in the darkness, so there are often times where you both hang around in your dimly lit room cuddled up together just talking all day (or even sometimes laying there in comfortable silence).

-You'll be in there together for so long that all of your friends will start questioning where you're both at, and not even realize that you're just in your room.

💀 He obviously likes you a whole lot, but he's super bad at saying it with words. He's just shy and bashful. BUT THEN DARK SHADOW EXPOSES HIM LMAO-

-You'll be standing there looking super cute, and Tokoyami will just stare at you and want to say something so badly. Then Dark Shadow appears and is all like "wOw yOu'Re sUpEr hOt" and Tokoyami just dies right there in the very spot he's standing cuz he can't believe that just happened.

🕯 That's another thing- Tokoyami stares at you a LOT. He even did it before y'all started dating, but now he doesn't even try to hide it.

-You barely noticed at first, but once you started noticing how often you catch him staring at you, you can't help but tease him a little.

-You'll stare at him back, directly in the eyes, and he'll get super flustered and embarrassed.

-Then to calm him down and make him feel less embarrassed, you'll giggle at his flustered-ness and give him a lil beak kiss...which just makes him even more flustered.

💀 He's definitely the type who wants to be a total romantic, and speak all poem-like to you, and shower you with praises, ect. BUT he gets so flustered when it comes to affection, and second-guesses himself when it comes to his ideas of showing affection.

-He's scared of coming off too strong, or seeming to clingy, or even not doing enough, so he never really gets the chance to act out any of how he wants to show affection- and to top it all off he can't help but be absolutely smitten every time you give him affection of any sort, and he'll not know how to react to it.

🕯 You never call him out on his shyness or how he reacts to your affection, you're not offended with any way he reacts to you. You think it's super cute how innocent he seems when it comes to all of this, and of course you encourage any time he gets a little bit of confidence to hold your hand or compliment you (without the help of Dark Shadow lol).

💀 His feathers get all ruffled when he's flustered, and OMFG it's too cute. 🥺😭

🕯 Something that he loves so much is when you borrow his clothes. Because for him, it's kind of a way to show affection towards you without being super direct about it.

-So him being like "you're cold? here, wear my sweatshirt" translates to "TAKE EVERYTHING FROM ME, KEEP IT FOREVER, I LOVE YOU FJSKDJFHR-"

💀 Don't come @ me- Tokoyami listens to death metal, but he'd totally vibe with something like kpop if you introduced him to it.

-He'd have Will He playing in his headphones, and he'd be all edgy and in his feelings, but he'd also be doing something like baking cookies at the same time lmfao.

-He'd have a playlist named "songs to cry to," but he'd be listening to it while knitting sweaters for puppies or something.

🕯 If he's at a store, and sees something kinda spooky looking that makes him think of you, he'd quickly get it and think all day of giving it to you, and he'd want to watch you add it to your collection of lil trinkets and antiques.

-This poor baby would rehearse how he'd give it to you in his head over and over again, and then when the time comes to give it to you, he'd get suddenly so tongue-tied and worried if you'd actually like it or not.

-But, of course, you love whatever he gets you every time. Your always super surprised when he gets you something, cuz it's not your birthday or any special day, and you never expect gifts from people.

-Every time you accept a gift from him, you always want to squeal, tackle him, and shower him with kisses- but you resist doing so with all of your being, cuz you know he'd malfunction.

-Instead you very profoundly thank him many times, and give him one especially loving kiss.

-Seeing your extra surprised and happy reaction always relieves him so much, and it makes him want to do it all over again and gift you a whole shop full of trinkets. His lack of hundreds of dollars is the only thing that stops him.

💀 You're the type of person who wears a lot of black, and scatters bright colors here and there within your look. Your style ranges from goth to pastel e-boy.

🕯 You don't like to change other people's styles or tell other people what to wear, but every once in a while, Tokoyami expresses an interest in dressing like you- which you go NUTS over.

-You'll let him borrow your pastel sweaters, and he'll let you put bright colored hairclips in his feathers.

-He now even owns some pastel colored clothing of his own, that you either gifted him or he secretly bought himself at some point.

💀 He used to be shy about changing up his style every once in a while at first. Whenever you'd take pictures of him wearing bright clothes, he'd softly ask you not to show them to any of the others.

-Eventually he became confident enough to go out in public those rare days he'd wear bright colors, and everyone is always super supportive of the different style.

-He started questioning his sexuality around the time he started high school, but it was never a priority at first because he was more focused on working hard to get into U.A. and thinking about his future being a hero.

Summary: You're livestreaming Among Us for Twitch and you come across another person who's doing the same thing and they also happen to be your favorite gamer??? Whaaaat?

A/N: Based off my post here.

“Hello everyone!” you greeted your viewers that were hopping onto your livestream. You used your split screen feature to show that you were hopping onto Among Us, but you were also to be seen as well.

“So like I said on my instagram story, I will be playing Among Us. Soooo let’s see how this goes!”

You typed in your twitch username as your name for your avatar. You then tapped onto a server with seven people. You were assigned the color cyan and you went to pick out your accessory, “What should I wear, peeps? Should I wear a plunger? Oh, how about the flower? Wait! The cowboy hat! Save a horse, ride a cowboy,” you snickered at your statement.

“Okay. Let’s do this!” you watched as the countdown started and you were assigned to be a crewmate.

You looked at your list of tasks and proceeded to head to the admin first to swipe your card. Several other people did the same and you caught sight of a username you know, “Hey! BorkyBarks! i wonder if that’s actually him. Anyway, I’m gonna keep going.” your little cyan character went towards electrical and you found lime green dead. You immediately report and you’re all brought to an emergency meeting.

Many players immediately ask, “Where?”

And you reply, “In electrical. Went fix wires and found lime. Didn’t see anyone else.”

The yellow character, whose username was MacnCheese, asked, “Wait, are you actually Y/N the twitch streamer?”

You look into your camera and shrugged, “Should I tell them the truth?” you read the chat on the side and saw many people say yes, so you did, “Lol yeah. It’s me. I’m streaming right now. Say hi!”

The users say hi and the supposed BorkyBarks exclaimed, “WAIT. I’M STREAMING TOO!”

And then you craned your neck, looking at the game chat, “WAIT, YOU’RE REALLY BORKYBARKS?!”

“Lol yeah!”

You quickly pull out your phone and tap onto the twitch app, typing in BorkyBarks and see he’s streaming too.

You screamed, “OH MY GOD, YOU GUYS! IT’S REALLY BORKYBARKS AKA BUCKY BARNES! WE’RE IN THE SAME GAME! HAHAHAHAHA! WHAT EVEN?!”

You quickly type, “LOL THIS IS WILD!” and then tap on skip since everyone else was doing so.

“Alright. I’m gonna finish these tasks.” you travelled to electrical to do your long task. You did the wiring there, then moved to admin, then while in the middle of fixing the cafeteria wiring, a meeting is called.

Black, whose username was sndnoods, said, “I SAW ORANGE VENT!”

To which orange replied, “whaddahex i didnt vent!”

Black, “YES YOU DID! I SAW YOU!”

“Hmmmm...,” you pursed you lips and narrowed your eyes, “Should I vote for black or orange?”

You read the chat and got more replies on black than orange, so you voted for black. While waiting for everyone else, you asked, “Hey, Borky, you almost done with tasks?”

He replied, “Yeah. I got two more.”

Then you responded, “Wanna stick together when you’re done?”

“Sure!”

So, black got voted off and he wasn’t the imposter. So the game continued. You went to finish the wiring in the cafeteria, and then empty the garbage shoot in O2. Lastly, you had to go to weapons and shoot debris.

While you were in the middle of it, a death was reported.

Orange was dead, so that meant they weren’t the imposter either. Some people left the game, so it was only five of you now. You and Bucky as Cyan and Blue, then brown, red, and green.

Brown said that red was looking sus and green agreed. It seemed like there was a consensus so all of you voted for red, but red was taking a while to vote. So in the meantime, you chatted to Bucky.

“Can I just say that you’re one of my favorite twitch gamer?”

To which he replied, “No way! Same here!”

And then he added, “I meant, you’re my favorite twitch gamer too. lol.”

Then you said, “[insert spiderman meme here]”

Your phone started blowing up with notifications from twitter, so you quickly checked it out.

gamergirlxoxo: OMG. BUCKY AND Y/N ARE BOTH STREAMING ON TWITCH AND THEY ENDED UP IN THE SAME GAME AND THEY’RE EACH OTHER’S FAVE TWITCH GAMER. WE LOVE TO SEE IT.

meesaisamessa: wait, ngl, bucky and y/n would make a really cute gamer couple. i ship it.

Meanwhile on Bucky’s end....

“Oh my god, oh my god,” he cups his round, bearded cheeks and stares at his computer screen and then his camera, “I’m Y/N’s favorite gamer? What? How? I-” he pauses to chuckle in disbelief, “This is so crazy, guys. I’ve been following Y/N’s twitch career from the beginning. They’re an awesome player and so cool and I’M their favorite gamer?! So fucking unreal!”

The meeting ends and, obviously, red is voted off, but isn’t the imposter.

Bucky’s finished with his tasks, so he goes to follow you to watch you finish your tasks. He wipes his hands on his tshirt that hugs his round belly, “I’m suddenly nervous and I don’t even know why. I’m not, like, actually meeting Y/N, so I don’t know why my hands are super sweaty now. Heh.”

You finish in weapons and he thinks that’s your last task since you start just roaming around. When you get to storage, the doors suddenly shut in front of Bucky and he’s freaking out, “Oh no! Y/N!” he starts running around in circles waiting for the doors to open and when they do, he rushes inside to find your dead body, “OH NO! Y/N!” he reports your body and then types, “I WILL AVENGE YOU Y/N!” and then added, “also they were found in storage. I was with them, but got locked out and when the doors opened, they were dead.”

“It’s gotta be brown.” Green said and Brown immediately defended themselves, “No! It’s Green! They’ve been faking tasks!”

Bucky groaned, “Shit, I don’t know who to choose. Guys, help.”

The chat started blowing up with different people saying Brown or Green, but a lot of people were saying green.

“Alright, I’m trusting you guys!” he votes green and then the Victory screen appears.

“Aaayyee! We did it!” when he’s back in the lobby, he immediately goes into the chat, “Y/N, I AVENGED YOU!”

You replied, “lmao! thank you! green was a punk for that!”

He smiled at the screen and then checked the chatbox:

ZoeSmoey: LOOK AT THOSE HEART EYES!

ZoeSmoey: BUCKY TOTALLY LIKES Y/N!

greenmeansgtfo: tell them you love them! lol!

thatspideyguy: Dude, go for it. Message them!

He snorts, “We don’t even know each other, guys! I don’t wanna be creepy and shit!”

He reads the incoming messages of encouragement and then throws his hands up in the air, “Fine!” he picks up his phone and pulls up his twitter. He knows you two are mutuals, so he goes into your DMs and types up, “Hi. I know we’ve been following each other for a while, but I figured I’d give a proper greeting, not on the livestream.” when he’s done typing, he looks at his camera, “There, I did it, guys. I don’t think they’ll-”

Ping!

He looks down at his phone to see that you replied and his eyes widened, “I stand corrected!”

The two of you proceed to make your own Among Us server. Bucky is the host and he sends you the code. As soon as you’re in, he opens it up to the public and people start pouring in. You two play for another hour before you have to go.

You leave him a DM saying, “That was fun! We should play again sometime! Let me know! xxx-xxx-xxxx”

And it was the start of a beautiful friendship.

reasons why "mune: the guardian of the moon" is a masterpiece

the color palette

bruh, the colors are amazing. i love the contrast between the day and the night. in the places were the sun shines, the color temperature is higher and in the places were the moon is in the sky, the color temperature is lower. here's an example:

the colors of the characters are awesome too and they help you to deduce more or less their personalities.

mune is blue. everything in him is blue. his eyes, his hair, his skin, his lil' cute nose, e v e r y t h i n g. the color blue is associated with open spaces, freedom, intuition, imagination, expansiveness, inspiration, and sensitivity, according to bourncreative.com and this words describe perfectly mune's personality.

sohone's skin is a mix of orange tones, orange being a vibrant color that is hot, healthy and engaging, but it can be abrasive and crass. this things describe more or less his personality. his eyes are yellow and his hair is white, combining in a nice way with his skin color.

glim's color palette is kinda similar to sohone's, but her personality is totally different. she's enthusiastic, adventurous, full of determination and kinda optimistic, and her colors demonstrate that pretty well. but she's a waxling, and when she freezes her color palette changes drastically, everything in her turning white. now, the color white is associated with innocence, fragility, clarity, simplicity and brilliance and guess who has those traits too (*cough cough* it's glim *cough cough*)

the awesome plot

i will not start to describe every detail of the plot, because if you don't discover them all by yourself then you won't feel the magic of this movie :(( all i have to say it's that the creators had a lot of imagination and creativity.

the character development

oh boy, esto se está poniendo bueno xd. let's start with phospho, one of the most underrated characters.

phospho was a guardian of the moon long time ago, while necross was the guardian of the sun. in his "teen ages" he was selfish and coward, hiding behind a rock when necross (a traitor who wanted to keep the sun all by himself) and xolal had that titan fight. but after 700 years, when sohone has entered the underworld and was attacked by those manipulative weird-ass snakes, he sacrificed himself to save the new guardian of the sun, this demonstrating that he wanted to change and become a better person (creature??) btw he gives me a lot of ray (from "the princess and the frog") vibes.

the next character is ofc, mune, the protagonist. at the beginning of the movie he was a shy and indecisive cute guy that wasn't really sure that he's the right one for the "protecting the moon job" and his insecurities made him to lose control of the moon temple, messing up the normal course of the world. bit he decides to correct his mistakes and goes in the underworld with sohone to help him to bring the sun again. in this lil' trip our baby blue satyr demonstrates that he's not a crybaby and that he's powerful too :"3

now, let's talk about sohone. i really dislike him (just look at him, he's a creature-like version of gaston from "beauty and the beast" lmao), but i can't ignore his character development. at first, he's a f*cking prick that is only interested in his good looks, his important position as a guardian of the sun and in succeeding in flirting with girls. when he meets glim he's fascinated by her, but when she starts to say that he's going the wrong way to the underworld bc that's what the ancient books say, he starts to throw sexist words to glim and his attitude towards her changes drastically. b*tch, if you don't like to read books, don't judge the others who like to read and accept their opinions too, it won't hurt. and how could i forget how mean was to mune too? (rn, while searching more about this movie, i saw that there are people who ship mune and sohone 😳 wtf is wrong with you??) but, in the end, he redeems himself in a way or another, stops subestimating mune and glim and becomes a little more aware of his actions.

the animation

the animation, for a non-disney movie that was published in 2014 in a country that isn't USA or Japan it's f*cking amazing! the details in the skin, the hair, the plants, the fur and the sky are so well done that i could even have the guts to say that it's the same as in frozen 2 whOoPs-

the transition from the real world to the dream world

the whole thing with the dream world is absolutely amazing. not just the idea of it, but how it was integrated into the movie. the creators had the awesome thought to change the animation style when the plot was performed in the dream world, into a "sketchy" one, with basic colors and without pompous shades and stuff. this thing was made so well, that everyone who watches the movie can understand the difference between the two worlds. even if the drawings are more sketchy and basic, the animation is still pretty smooth and really pleasant to look at.

the soundtrack

omaigash tHe sOuNdTrAcK 7u7 i really simp the composers of this marvelous songs that fit so well with the animation and the plot. the background music literally floods you in a pleasant atmosphere. this makes me go so emotional, because i haven't seen in a long time a movie were the soundtrack is this good that makes you feel like you're a part of the fictional world :"3

the message of the movie

first of all, it's a movie made for little kids, so it's pretty logical that the message is a simple one, bUt that doesn't mean that a teenager or an adult can't learn from it too. as we can see, at first, mune was really insecure about his worth and powers and he felt unworthy of the honor of being a guardian of the moon. but after a little 💫adventure💫 he learned that he's powerful and that HE CAN DO IT. so, please, don't subestimate yourselves, you're strong and awesome <3 and be ambitious too, if you aren't ambitious you can't succeed in life. so go and reach your dreams, you deserve it uwuwuwu

“Well yeah. But if it’s about you, shouldn’t you read it?”

“What’s so interesting about my life that’s got TMZ all over it?” Y/N laughs at the thought because besides being a married successful actor, what interesting thing can they get?

“As much as TMZ isn’t the best source the fans should look at, this stuff can still hurt actors” Kristen states showing Y/N the article off her phone.

Y/F/N Y/L/N seen with Bill Hader without their significant others—Is there something there?

Y/N gave it a neutral look before handing Kristen her phone back. “Textbook rumor, hell. It was probably a teen that wrote that”

“Are you going to tell Bill or have him find out himself?”

“Knowing him and media, I’m gonna have to tell him” Y/N laughs before pulling up the article on her phone and sending it to Bill.

Bill: Wow. Haha, that’s a textbook rumor

Y/N: Thats what I told Kristen lol

Bill: So...You’re already in New York for SNL Saturday right?

Y/N: Right?

Bill: You want to grab drinks? Night before of course

Before Y/N can say anything more she stops herself from replying when her husband texted her. A smile formed on her face loving that he did but there’s so much more to it...

Evan: Hope New York ain’t that humid like it is here. Honestly if it weren’t for our careers, we would totally be in a colder state. Can’t stand the heat

Bill frowns seeing she hasn’t responded and feels like he’s come on a little strong when...it’s just drinks.

“Hey, you gotta get going or you’ll miss your flight” Maggie smiles handing Bill his coat before he left.

He of course kisses his wife goodbye, but the lingering feeling in his chest grew.

When Bill was in the air he decided to shoot a text to Y/N indicating that he invited their friends but Y/N didn’t receive it. Reception and everything. But—

Y/N: I’d love to

was sent before Bill’s when his plane landed and he didn’t realize until it sent.

Bill: I invited Kate, Kenan, Fred, and Kristen...John is a maybe and Seth isn’t going to be in town.

“Shit. Should’ve—-fuck” Bill frowns waiting in baggage claim when Fred scared the man out of the blue. Even if Bill did know he was his ride.

Y/N sat in her hotel room staring at the text for a minute before checking the time and suddenly getting a semi crazy idea.

Y/N: You told me the other day you got a late flight...wondering if you want to order in some room service at my hotel room. If you’re not tired

Bill: Fred picked me up from the airport if you don’t mind him tagging along

Y/N: More the merrier :)

More the merrier...

After arrival and ordering in, Fred and Bill had already started to argued with each other about true crimes as Y/N sat back watching the two go back and forth. She laughs as she drinks her wine.

“So does it always end with her snapping?”

“No but when she snaps-“

“She snaps”

“Okay” Y/N laughs setting down her glass as Bill couldn’t help but smile enjoying her laugh.

“Well. I’m gonna get some sleep. I’ll see you two tomorrow” Fred got up giving Bill a look before leaving the two alone.

“Damn and I was just starting to enjoy your talk about true crime. I’m more into medical dramas”

“Like Grey’s?”

“Oh definitely Grey’s” Y/N smiles laughing as Bill moves himself beside her on the bed leaning against the headboard. “Did you even start it when I recommended it to you?”

“Okay I got up to season...eight and that is a shitton of Drama for me to handle”

“And yet you watch Snapped like it’s something you can’t live without”

“Ok ok...Snapped. Is the greatest show that I don’t even have a valid reason to explain why I like it so much.” Bill states looking over at Y/N as he...found himself lost in a thought.

Can’t really say the thought hasn’t crossed my mind. What if my life would’ve been different if I met Y/N before I got married? It clearly would’ve been different but would life have gone the same route as it is now...I’m lucky. Fuck. Lucky she’s in my life as it is...just

Friday rehearsals went by fast, Bill got a kick out of watching Y/N take off the liquid latex off her eyebrows. He laughs as he hands her the makeup wipes to get off the residue. Y/N rolls her eyes flicking Bill in the forehead for laughing at her.

“Y/N, John is looking for you. Wants to run lines again” Fred smiles watching Y/N clean up a bit before going to find John.

“Didn’t John leave before the rest of us?”

“Yeah but I wanted a minute to ask you”

“Ask me what?”

“I don’t know. Guess I’m stalling” Fred wasn’t stalling, he honestly wanted to be nosey asking if anything more happened when he was gone. He didn’t think exactly that. But the thought did cross his mind. “Uh. So about drinks tonight. That’s still down?”

“You really has to ask without Y/N present? Yeah it’s still down” Bill laughs patting Fred’s back before grabbing his things.

Soon the gang was hitting the bar late and really just enjoying each other’s time. Fred handed Kristen and Y/N their drinks as Kenan handed Kate and Bill theirs.

“You owe new a game of darts Fred”

“You are so on” Fred laughs at Kenan as he immediately got up from the booth.

“So Y/N, how’s your life in LA?” Kate smiles. “I have a role down there and wanted to know if there’s anything worth it”

“Well if you’ve in LA as long as I have, it’s pretty much worth seeing everything. When you have the time of course” Y/N smiles taking a sip of her wine catching Bill’s gaze on her which instantly made him look away.

“None of us have been in LA as long as you have. Literally. The phrase that “no one is from LA” is true when it comes to you” Kristen smiles watching Y/N shrug. “What’s stopping you from leaving?”

“Yeah, and don’t say career. Because you can easily live here and become a full on regular for SNL. Also get a few gigs here” Kate states as Y/N rolls her eyes smiling.

“I would do anything to get out of LA...but yknow. My husband is the reason.”

“God I hate that” Bill says out of the blue catching all three of them staring at him as he quickly downs his scotch. “Um. Y’know. If they really love and support you. You can do anything. But if they don’t...”

“They aren’t the one for yeah” John cuts in sliding into the booth beside Y/N. “Sorry for coming late. Had to get a few last minute ideas run by Lorne”

“You’re all good. But Kenan and Fred have beat you to the dart board”

“Shit. I call winner, re-fills?” John asks catching a nod from everyone but Y/N. “Want a new drink or?”

“Or...I’m gonna walk back to my hotel. Not feeling that great”

“Already? Damn...well at least get drinks with me when I’m in LA?”

“Of course Kate, see you guys tomorrow” Y/N smiles grabbing her coat and leaving the booth.

Bill watches her go giving John a look as he shrugs pointing with his eyes. He immediately got up going to catch up with her. She wasn’t far...but he hesitated for a second.

“They aren’t the one for yeah” Thanks John. I’ll be thinking about that for the rest of my life. Or well...the rest of my marriage.

Y/N froze when she heard fast movement behind her indicating the short run Bill made. She looks at him confused as he gave her a concerned look.

“We...are in the same hotel. Want to walk with me?”

“Yeah..I do” Bill states catching a very light tint of pink growing on Y/N’s cheeks as she quickly looked away. “Um. Are you only leaving because of what I said?” he asks as they started walking side by side.

Yes. Because...well what am I supposed to say to you? I can’t live to you. You’re one of my best friends. Someone I can be honest with. But you...make my mind go blank for a good minute. Forgetting that I’m married. Married to someone I’m just trying to make it work with at this point...I love Evan don’t get me wrong...but god what would I do—

“Uh. Can I lie saying it didn’t bug me?”

“So it bugged you”

“Little bit”

“I’m sorry” Bill frowns wishing he didn’t say it at all or let his emotions be a factor in it all.

“Be honest with me?”

“Always”

“Are you and Maggie okay? Because there....um. Must’ve been more to it personally than the obvious” But what’s the obvious? That I’m in love with you? Shit.

“Well, she loves me. I love her. But...the feeling is mutual. We haven’t talked about it entirely but when...the spark dies. It dies” Bill said bluntly making Y/N think too hard about what he just said. She didn’t want to feel bad, a part of her felt differently. “We really just yknow what to get everything in order before officially”

“Yeah no...I get it. Well. Yeah I do. I get it” Y/N frowns before flinching to the sudden boom.

Bill looks at Y/N freak a tad to the boom which was the sound of thunder. It’s not New York without one day of rain. Let alone lightening. He instantly wraps his arm around her out of instinct directing her under an awning.

“Should’ve...taken a cab”

“Mm. We can make it. If you trust me out in the rain”

“If we get electrocuted. It’s God hating me” Fuck.

“Come on...you should get out of the wet clothes” Bill says as he rests his hand on her cheek catching her gaze. Her beautiful e/c eyes looking up at him catching a whole other feeling.

After getting out of her wet clothes, Y/N opens her hotel room door looking up at a very distressed Bill. She frowns letting him in and once the door closed, he turned back to her taking her face into his hands kissing her.

Y/N shortly after pushed Bill off giving him a worried look before suddenly laughing and breaking down into tears. I’m sorry.

“Y/N—“

“I-...God. You have no idea Bill Hader. No fucking idea”

“What do you mean?” Bill frowns trying to comfort her but Y/N retracted herself.

“I feel so out of place here. Like. God. You drive me insane! And I don’t mean in a negative way. It’s never in a negative way. I’m just—-terrified!” Y/N laughs as she choked up on her tears. “I’m...I’ve been in love with you ever since we got close. But I’m married—you’re married—-and adultery is a fucking....sin? Hell I’m not religious but it is! Like Bill don’t get me wrong” She states resting her hands on his chest looking up at him as he continued to have a worried look. “I...I want to be with you. But I can’t...can’t do that to Evan.”

Bill watches her continue to cry as he takes in a deep breath before exhaling and resting his hands on her cheeks making her look at her. “It’s terrifying...falling in love again...especially to someone who has already locked that down. You’re...not alone in that boat. And I....I don’t want to give you an ultimatum or whatever the right word is called but...”

But?

“I’m willing to wait until the end of my lifetime to be with you. I know the next chapter in my life and my wife is on the same page. But the one after that...I’m willing to wait forever if I have to. If it means being with you. I’m not going to force you Y/N. You mean the world to me, but I don’t want to hurt you for eternity by forcing you”

And that’s that. He said that and Y/N took it to heart. Knowing exactly the next thing she does.

Is her choice.

The two haven’t seen each other in six months the after that SNL night, let alone talk to each other. Bill got a divorce, and he has set time for himself until he got a role at the end of that six month period heading straight for New York. Pretty common place for movies to be shot but he didn’t want to go anywhere crazy at that moment. Stepping onto set first day meeting the people you’ll be working with for months wasn’t a hard thing to do, but being handed a physical script that has the character list within it. Bill took his seat at the table read opening the script and reading-

“Hey Hader” Y/N smiles sitting beside him setting down her copy of the script and her tea. “It’s been a while”

“It has...you cut your hair” Bill smiles admiring the new look of hers. Y/N shot him a smile before elbowing him.

“Working out for Barry still Huh?” Y/N smiles catching a laugh as Bill nods crossing his arms. “You’re perfect no matter what. Y’know that right?”

“I do, do you?”

“Of course” Y/N smiles as the two straighten up when it got time for the actual read.

Afterward...

“You have a ride?”

“Rental”

“Oh shit. Hold on. Did you pay for a hotel room yet?” Y/N asks confusing the fuck out of Bill as she laughs at the confused look. “Just answer it Bill”

“Not yet. I just got in to be honest”

“Stay with me then” Y/N smiles. “I live in a loft on 408 Greenwich Street...it’s not that far and I have plenty of room”

“Lead the way?” Bill tosses her his keys as Y/N smiles nodding.

She’s...still the same happy girl when he first met her. Even if they both been through a lot the past six months. A lot has changed but the one thing Bill worried about...hasn’t changed. Because she doesn’t want their relationship to change until...then

Bill looks out into the street from her loft’s window. It’s not that bad of a neighborhood. Makes him wonder if it’s ever crazy loud at night or if it’s safe. He wants her to be safe.

“So, how long have you been here?”

“Uh. A month. But I put a down payment two months ago. It’s nice right? Not too big. Not too small. Just right...” Y/N smiles walking over standing beside him. “How are you? How’s everything in LA?”

“I’m good. Everything is good” Bill smiles. “And you? Evan?”

“Well, the decision wasn’t mutual. But it brought more things to light. So...Yknow. It was a matter of time” Y/N shrugs. “But hey. We are finalizing it. He’s still in LA and I’m here. Kinda...starting over. Turning a new leaf” she laughs at how that can sound but he understood. He understood completely.

“So, I know...the wound is still fresh. But baby steps huh?”

“Yeah” Y/N smiles taking his hand into hers feeling him gently squeeze. “Baby steps”

☆Summary: On the stage, an idol is someone who is the center of the spotlight, they have all the attention in the world. But what goes on behind the scenes? Do they shine as bright like when they're on stage?

The cheers and yells of fans were muffled by the loud thumping of your ears that goes with the rhythm of your heart beat. You were a part of a rookie group that just debuted not too long ago and it was your first time performing for 2020 MAMA. You trained for almost five years for this, but that didn't stop you from being nervous, yes you have performed in front of a big crowd before but not as vast as this! Not in front of so many different idols!

You swallowed the lump in your throat once you heard the music starting from the ear monitor. The spotlight was so bright, if the audience were close enough, they could definitely see the fear in your eyes. You were not the best dancer nor the best singer, you've always practiced so hard just to be where you are right now. Small mistakes cripple your confidence entirely so you always make sure to perform as perfect as possible.

In the middle of your performance, you caught the eyes of your lover, Lee Felix, he's a part of this popular group called 'Stray Kids', and although you trained together with him for a short time, he debuted first, which made you very proud of course. He gave you a reassuring smile and it was enough to boost your confidence up that you nailed your part and ended the performance with flying colors.

You were huffing and sweating but it didn't stop your heart from beaming with so much joy, the wild crowd slowly died down as you disappear into the backstage. "You did a great job out there y/n!" praised your leader and patted your back. You flashed her a grin and told her she did the same.

After the makeup artists retouched you, you and your group went to watch the rest of the show. As Seventeen was performing, you felt Felix stand next to you, he slowly slithered his hand to capture yours. "You did a great job earlier, babe," he whispered in your ear and it sent shivers down to your spine hearing his deep voice, you quickly retracted your hand from his grasp. "Don't do that, someone might see and create a scandal," you scolded and gave him a slight glare.

He shrugged and stuffed his hands inside of his pocket, slowly retreating back to his own group. When it was his group's turn to perform, you cheered and felt yourself beaming with pride, you were genuinely happy to see where he is now. You remembered when he was eliminated and you watched him practicing day and night, to become better. You saw yourself in him and that is how you got even closer, you helped him train by working hard together, helping one another, and correcting each other's mistake.

After the show, you bid your group farewell and headed to your own apartment. Your parents insisted that you get your own place and so you did, it was also Felix's second home, he would stay at your place every once in a while. You decided to cook dinner as you waited for Felix to come home, as you were cooking, a song to which you danced together with Felix started to play and you started swinging your hips to the beat.

You finished the dance out of breath, Felix was holding you and a bead of sweat covered his forehead. You never got this close to Felix so you took the opportunity and counted his freckles.

"What are you doing?" he asked as he released you and left to fetch you both a bottle of water. "I was trying to count your freckles," you shyly admitted and caught the bottle he tossed towards you.

"So how many was it?" "I didn't finish, I only got to ten, something was distracting me," you whispered the last part and took a huge gulp. "Well, you can count it again if you want to." He offered and you began to choke, he ran towards you and slowly patted your back.

"Dude, don't say it like that, it's too weird," you said and wiped your mouth. "Why not? We're close enough to stare at each other's faces," he shrugged and took a swig of his water.

"Look, we trained together and now that you're no longer eliminated-" "you want our friendship to stop?" well that caught you off guard, he was not totally wrong of what you wanted to say, but hearing it come out from his mouth, it actually sounded kind of stupid.

"I-I just think, that you will be busy now because you just debuted," you inhaled deeply and stared at his eyes, "and I don't want any rumors to come out, I don't want you to have a scandal just after your debut." you finished explaining.

"What if I'm okay with having those rumors?" he muttered but you heard it well, "what if I'm okay with people thinking that you're mine?"

"What are you saying, Lix?"

"I'm saying that I like you, and I want you to be mine," before you could say anything, he grabbed the sides of your face and smashed his lips against yours. It felt like the 4th of July inside your heart, electricity filled your entire body and you snaked your hands to the back of his neck, pulling him even closer.

Unfortunately, you both needed air so you released each other. You panted and looked at Felix who was staring at you expectantly. I like you too was what you wanted to say but your body betrayed you and you sprinted out of the studio, leaving Felix utterly confused.

You realized what you did was totally stupid and uncalled for, so you thought of ways to apologize to Felix and admit your feelings too. You wanted to go to him casually and solve the problem easily but avoiding him for three days did not help your situation.

You touched your lips and remembered the way his lips moving perfectly in sync with yours, you felt your heart beating faster at the thought of you kissing him again. You were busy thinking about him that you mindlessly entered the studio, your thoughts were interrupted by the music that you just now heard.

You quickly shook your head and everything was in focus again. Felix was standing in the middle of the studio with an unreadable look on his face, of all the places you could've entered y/n, yet you chose this, you mentally scolded yourself.

"What do you want y/n?" Felix muttered and continued to practice his dance. "I like you too," you blurted out before you could even stop yourself. Felix stopped and turned to face you. You went to turn off the music and headed towards him, you stared up at him and felt yourself blush at his stare.

"Look, I'm sorry I ran away that day, I-I just panicked and I didn't know wha-" you were cut off when a pair of lips was suddenly attached to yours, you were as stiff as a stone but you quickly melted into the kiss. Felix took that as a good sign so he guided your hands and wrapped it around his neck, and slowly slid his one hand to rest on your hips while the other held your face.

You pulled away, out of breath and face heating up, Felix was no different, he looked like a tomato, but a cute one at that. You giggled and started to pepper him with kisses.

"Does that mean I'm forgiven?"

"Kind of, but it mostly means that you're mine now," you giggled at his goofiness and you two shared another kiss.

You smiled to yourself until you smelled something burning. You yelled and quickly turned off the stove when you realized that you burnt your cooking. You facepalmed and grumbled, you were supposed to have a nice dinner with your boyfriend but you completely ruined it.

"Babe! Are you okay? I smelled something burning," you saw Felix appear in the kitchen, worry plastered on his face. "I'm fine baby, but I accidentally burnt our dinner." you sighed and quickly disposed of the mess you have created.

You went to Felix and wrapped your arms around his, inhaling his perfume that seems to intoxicate you. "I'm sorry I ruined our dinner Lixie," you mumbled against his chest and you felt it rumble when he laughed.

"It's fine, silly. We can order out and still watch the next episode of Stranger Things!" You looked up at him, grinning and nodding like how a puppy wags her tail when waiting for her food.

Felix felt his chest tighten at your adorable sight, he cupped your face and gave you a long kiss, to which you gladly returned. You spent the night at each other's arms, binging your favorite show and eating your takeout food.

This was your behind the scenes, no spotlights nor cameras around to pose at. You were not idols that shines bright when they're on stage; in the present, you were just a couple spending their quality time together, shining differently but brighter, now that you were at each other's side.

TWT analysis - spoiler alert!

First of all, I just wanna start off by saying that this is heavily based on my opinions and just my personal review about the movie. I’ll try categorize them into different parts and make it brief as possible.

Story

I’m just go out and say I freakin LOVE Trolls World Tour. The concept of the movie where each tribes of trolls is a combination of different genres of music was very uniquely established and it feels so clever. The amount of energy in this film is more fun and exciting than the first film as it kinda introduces different types of trolls and their types of music and culture, showing that there’s more than just pop trolls in the troll kingdom. The underlying themes where dreamworks introduces the ideas about cultural appropriation, colonialism and musical criticism has never been more relevant and more applicable in society’s issues. The message behind the movie is very clear and they executed that perfectly to the viewers, especially to the younger audiences teaching about diversity and that it’s okay to be different and that differences matters. Although I do noticed some inconsistencies in the movie like they have been given a very little time to introduce the different types of trolls and the rushed subplots of the film, Like Cooper having his own story arc where he found out he’s actually a funk troll, (a pop and funk troll) Though I hope they left all those details on Trollstopia.

Animation

I could just let the movie speak for the animation itself and not give a review about it, but I just have to. The animation is a 10/10! periodt. from the visuals to the color to the character designs, you will never be disappointed. Dreamworks animation has a reputation for its good animation, and Trolls is definitely a game changer and the team outdid themselves with this one. Not only with the vibrant colors that stayed since the first film, but also the follow up included new visuals to overall enhance the look of the story, like with pop trolls and their combination of vibrant hues of colors and glitters, and with rock and their angsty mood and redish hues, and the other tribes of trolls that correlates with their type of genre.

Characters

I feel like this is gonna be longer than my other reviews for I do have a lotta bone to pick with this one. So WARNING, this ought to be long. You can skip and scroll it down if you want.

let’s start off with Poppy. Little Queen Poppy. She now became the Queen of the pop trolls and it’s up to her how she’s gonna rule the trolls. (obviously) Then she found out that there’s this whole other world of trolls and she now.. suddenly wants to reunite all trolls and their music. She also got a side plot where she tries to be this epitome of a “good queen” that is kinda her motivation throughout film. At first you’ll think, what’s wrong with Poppy? Like she IS the main protagonist in the movie, so creators must’ve made her like the ‘hero’ in the film. Well... 👀 hmm I— I dunno bout that. let’s see.

I get that the film wants to give her an arc where she has to understand the differences between them (pop trolls) and these other kinds of trolls. And then in addition to her optimistic, bubbly personality, she wants to unite all trolls against the viewed villain in film Queen Barb who wants to destroy all music and make em under rock. Everything could’ve ended greatly if Poppy will just listen. (i get it. whole point of the film is poppy not listening) Her tunnel vision kinda made her annoying at this time around. Her overall ideology about pop being the superior music has made it hard for her to accept all the other types of trolls and their genres of music. In a scene in Lonesome Flats, she kinda just.. disregarded the whole idea of “music can be also sad cause life is sad sometimes” she thinks that music is suppose to make you happy, which is true in a sense but not disparaging the fact that music can also be about sadness and other things in life.

Throughout the whole film, she’s only too focused on one thing and refuses to listen to any advice, especially given by Branch, Biggie, even from her own father. It just felt a bit out of character for me. I guess she might’ve thought her positive, optimistic ways that led the bergens to be their friends kinda checked out and saved the trolls so might as well do the same on this one, when clearly that’s NOT the case.

There was also that one scene where she kinda gets down on Branch for being a bad friend when he gave her constructive criticism and advice (in the raft), completely taking his words out of context assuming he doesn’t think of her as a good queen. (At this point, I wish he could’ve just said yes cuz honestly, it’s getting annoying lmao.) Which is.. why exactly? He’s with her throughout, supporting her despite all the warnings.. but anyways.

I guess the only thing I like about her is she did get the arc that she needed. I mean I thought her not listening has been her whole thing in the franchise like in the first film and Trolls Holiday. I kinda wanted her to realize the stubbornness she acted upon throughout the whole film and somehow it was executed quite nicely..? I sure wish this is the last time she won’t listen and that she learned from all these things. Overall, her character.. didn’t really work out for me this time unlike in the first film though her growth and development is enough. Hopefully they’ll work out on her character more in the future.

Now, Let’s go to Branch. Personally, I love him. He’s my favorite throughout the whole franchise. I’m just gonna say it now, but i’ll try not to look biased here. lol

I love how branch is the sensible one this time. I get that he became like the voice of reason for Poppy and her consort. And let me just say the character development of Branch, from being reclusive, withdrawn type of troll now becoming more open and congenial, the personality growth has made his character so much fitting and I’m so glad to see that. His vulnerability made it easier for him to connect with other trolls, especially to Poppy. There was that one scene where he opened himself to Hickory about his feelings towards Poppy. Just minutes before that scene, he didn’t trust him. But then moments later, he became honest to him, showing a huge amount of growth in his character.

All those aspects really built Branch’s character more stronger. However, I couldn’t help but wish there’s more like an arc to him as well. I mean there has been a lot of injustices for his character. Like basically since the first film, no one’s ever listened to him, even with his warnings about the bergens returning to get them, which turns out he’s actually right by the way and yet no one acknowledges it and still same thing happened in the second film. It’s like a running gag now at this point, where no one listens to Branch and Poppy and the other trolls downplays Branch’s excessive preparedness for danger, then at the end he was actually right about his assumptions. I’m not saying that Branch is always right and that Poppy is wrong. I’m saying they could’ve at least find a balance between that, where Poppy would listen more to Branch and Branch would at least dial down the paranoia and acknowledge the positivity Poppy tries to show. (but then I realized if that happens, the show wouldn’t be as interesting anymore lol)

His range of emotions and awareness is definitely not like other pop trolls. I saw this observation in where he claimed he liked the music of country trolls, sad and a bit gloomy not like the kind of music they are used to sing. And then I realized, he was actually the first troll to ever like a different genre of music. His flexibility and openness to different ideas and genres of other trolls has made him more unique from Poppy or any other pop troll, even blending in with the kpop and reggaton trolls. I just wished they didn’t just reduced his character as being the typical “love interest” of the main character, but making like an arc storyline for him as well (hopefully in future) in my opinion.

Now I bleed Broppy. I definitely love the subplot of the movie where Branch tries to confess his love for Poppy, which at first I thought “didn’t we already do this in the first film though?” but then I guess it wasn’t really official. Basically the story kinda revolves around them and how they teamed up to discover all these new types of music and trolls. It’s almost like a nostalgic feeling for the older viewers when they first headed out to an adventure in the first film. Only difference is Branch is harboring strong romantic feelings for Poppy, whom may also feel the same but totally oblivious to it. The subtle interactions between the two of them brings different energies in the movie, and those interactions are just what we need. Like with affirmations they give each other, and the cheeky smile exchanges. You can really feel the romantic tension between the two, which really vibes with the atmosphere of the show, especially given the chemistry between them in the first film.

The third act breakup of Branch and Poppy was definitely relevant to the story and their different personalities having to give them space for a re-evaluation of their friendship. Honestly that was totally necessary for their relationship, considering how different they are together, especially with Branch who wants to take their relationship in the next level (and that applies for Poppy as well whom I’m sure also feels the same way) So it’s reasonable they had to split for a while, not to ultimately close the chance of them being friends again because of being different but the fact that despite their differences, their love and care for each other will always be stronger, and that will help them find a way to make up again, which is what the message of the main plot tries to exhibit. I do wished they put like a moment for them where they just apologize for their actions (talking to you poppy. ahem)

Overall Branch’s character has left me half satisfied and somehow craving for more development and revelations about his background. The overall growth of his character since the first film is definitely something worth treasuring.

Now with Queen Barb. Well, She’s something else huh? 😆 With the movie running low on time to introduce these whole new characters, they definitely put enough time for us to get to know Barb. Her character as villain was introduced quite nicely. Although rock genre being shown as the villain, isn’t that a little overdone now at this point? But anyways..

Her plan was to unite all strings and make all trolls from different genres become a rock troll or rock zombie. Basically she just despises other genres of music so she forcefully took all different strings to destroy all music except rock. Kinda like what Poppy wants..? Now here me out. It’s like when Barb said she and Poppy are the same. Both of them wants to unite all trolls. Only difference is their mindsets about music. Barb thinks all other genres music are awful except for rock, and Poppy thinks pop music is the right music. There is one who thinks that other music are distasteful and one who thinks their music is the superior. If anything, Barb has a more reasonable point in trying to dominate the troll kingdom. Barb acknowledges the differences between them and the other trolls, and it may not be the right way to do it, she just wants to unite all trolls because she thinks music is what divides them. While Poppy wants to unite all trolls despite their differences, it’s almost like forcing them to give up their own music to follow what Poppy thinks is the right music. Either way, their interpretation of music isn’t really helping with what they want to achieve.

The only hole in her story I guess is that as she tries to dominate the troll kingdom, she didn’t seem to realize that her motives to destroy all music is almost the same as what the ancestors of pop trolls did, making her look like a hypocrite even though totally despising the pop trolls after what their ancestors did in the past.

Overall her character is very well executed as the villain of the film. Although you can easily sympathize with her. Unlike with the Chef in the first film, I can’t show any sympathizing emotions towards her. All throughout you’ll only be feeling mad toward the Chef. While with Barb, I honestly even had a hard time picturing her as an antagonist. For me she’s just a queen, who wants to unite all trolls. I guess her twisted ideologies made her look like the bad guy, but despite that, she’s doesn’t really look like the villain in the film. Now she had a change of heart, I am very excited to see more of her in the future.

Others

Like I said, with a short amount of time given in the film, there’s really not enough space for the creators to introduce these other trolls and their background like the Classical, Techno, Funk, and Country trolls. Though I had a little problem with TWT. I am such a fan of classical music, and I think they had the most brief screen time throughout the film. I was excited to see them in the trailer tho, and they had shortest amount of time in the film. lol but that ain’t important. I’m just saying, there’s a lot more to see and learn about these new introduced trolls. Now i’m not gonna lie though, as adorable as it looks, there are those characters that are only made for merchandise. (*ahem* tiny diamond *ahem*)

The musical numbers are definitely a feast in the eyes. Although very much consuming all the time in the movie and didn’t leave enough space for character development, I still love the music. I feel like the TWT soundtrack is so underrated though. For the whole week since I’ve first watched the film, I cannot stop bopping along with Don’t Slack. 😆

The new casts are adorable! Anderson Paak was there, Sam Rockwell was there, Heck Ozzy Osbourne was even there! I cannot stop watching the behind the scenes of the movie. They are all great!

Conclusion

Overall, the whole theme of the movie and all the underlying messages behind it was definitely well executed in the movie. The line that pretty much sums up the whole movie would be “denying our differences is denying who we are” has a powerful impact, and the message behind it is very relevant till this day. It also teaches the viewers about having to respect one’s preferences of their taste in music. From the storyline to animation to character developments, although there’s still a lot of inconsistencies in the film, they still managed to make the movie worth watching and worth recommending.
