In the post-Twilight scenario where Edward cheats, who does each Cullen side with?

Edward will cheat on Bella, a manifesto.

Anon, you're basically asking me to write the fic, you know that right?

It depends exactly how it goes down, when things are revealed, and how it's presented to the family.

Edward Cheats with Jacob to Get Out of Sleeping with Bella

For the Love of a Woman features its own breakdown, but in that scenario it's very clearly Edward having gone completely bonkers and abandoning Bella for a man he may or may not have feelings for (it's unclear to the others by the end of the fic).

In that case, it was easy for most of the family (sans Esme) to side against Edward even with no real connection to Bella.

Edward 'Practices' to Prepare for Sleeping with Bella

Two Men and a Baby and Prima Nocta star here and mostly, so far, the family has no idea what's happening or what to think of it. They're mostly just very scandalized by all of it.

If push came to shove, we'd probably see most of them taking Bella's side again, because this is very clearly Edward's fault, but both fics sort of avoid the issue.

Edward Gets Tired of His Wife

Here's where it gets complicated.

What we have here is years of a dysfunctional marriage where, depending how this goes down, it seems as if Edward's simply fallen out of love with his wife.

Unlike the other situations, failing to feel what Bella wishes for him to feel is not his fault, it can't be helped, what can be helped is the fact that he acted on it by sleeping with someone behind her back rather than trying to break it off.

But then you get to them being stuck together forever, that breaking it off would mean one leaving the coven most likely, or being awkwardly around forever, not to mention what will happen with Renesmee.

It could be argued by some that Edward does want to love Bella, that this was an act of passion, but that he hopes that it will fade and they can rekindle their relationship.

So, I guess to break this down, here's where I'm at as far as how characters will take it.

Alice

Alice sides with the winning team, the one who will bring the most stability and peace to the family as a whole. Most likely, this will mean 'siding' with Edward, though 'siding' here will be enabling him to conduct his affair on the sly until he gets bored with this new lover, killing the lover if it's a human before Edward can do the cheating, gaslighting Bella into thinking Edward's not really cheating, and doing everything in her power to keep the status quo.

She won't like it, whatever she ends up doing, and as in canon she'll give Edward endless grief over it and blame him for things going completely awry, but if she sides with Bella then the family will fracture and she'll most likely lose her brother.

If she plays her cards right, then she can keep everything as it is.

Bella

Depends how Edward manages to present it/how good a job of gaslighting Alice does. Bella could very well be convinced that Edward cheating is her fault because she's not good enough and never was, that this is a personal failing on her end. Bella could very well meekly step aside and make room for Edward's latest lover, telling everyone it's okay, and then crying in the bathroom when she thinks no one is listening.

Carlisle

Depends how it's presented/the order he finds things out in.

He'll think this is a giant mess but potentially that this is a sign that Bella and Edward married too soon and married too young: they weren't meant to last.

It's unfortunate, but no one can make Edward love Bella if he doesn't. The best he can do is try to mediate the fallout.

Now, if he finds out Edward's sleeping around with Tanya and or a human behind Bella's back, that he hasn't settled things with Bella first, then he's going to be much more disapproving about all of this.

Edward

Edward always supports Edward because Edward is always right.

Emmett

He's staying out of this one. He's going to say whatever gives him the least amount of grief personally and wait until it blows over. This will mean agreeing with whatever conclusion Rosalie comes to in public and in private not saying much or just giving Edward an awkward shake of the head whenever Edward looks at him imploringly.

Esme

Depends.

If she's come to see Bella as a daughter, she'll be very torn, as she wants them both to be happy, would prefer if they're happy with each other, but again if Edward's not happy with Bella then no one can make him happy with Bella.

Esme doesn't really understand why Edward changed his mind, why he would risk wife and daughter for this, but she also won't want to judge him for this and will try to give him the benefit of the doubt.

If Edward's very openly cheating on her though, and with no rational behind it as in For the Love of a Woman, Esme's going to have a harder time coming to terms with this.

Jasper

Jasper's also staying out of this one. He very likely disapproves of all of it, for all that he never says it out loud, and immediately thinks lesser of Edward as this means Edward is a creature of passion who fancies himself in love with whatever catches his eye next, but he would view it as not his place to say what he thinks.

Plus, Alice is falling apart over this, he needs to focus on supporting her through this mess.

Renesmee

Renesmee gets a lot of awkward talks with her extended family about how her mommy and daddy don't love each other anymore. She didn't notice because mommy and daddy hadn't talked to her in weeks.

Alternately, Bella sobs to Renesmee telling her they'll get through this and Renesmee finds herself in the strange circumstance of trying to comfort her mother.

Rosalie

Rosalie I imagine is torn. On the one hand, she never liked Bella all that much and that Edward fell out of love with her is unfortunate but not unthinkable to her. Could they try to do couple's therapy or make it work? Sure, but it's not technically Edward's fault and something he shouldn't be blamed for.

However, if Edward is openly cheating/caught before the cracks become known, Rosalie's going to think he's a selfish pig who didn't even try to keep his marriage together.

I think the real question is not if Alice could have saved the Titanic, but if she would even bother trying.

Let's be completely honest, the answer is no. If she was on the Titanic, she wouldn't be in any real danger. The second she knows the ship is FUBR, she's jumping overboard and walking back to the mainland.

And, unless her Gift tells her to, I doubt she's gonna stick around to help out some random, unlucky humans. Alice is looking after Alice, so what is she gonna get out of playing hero? Besides, even if she did, word from the survivors would probably get out about a superhuman woman immune to the freezing water saving them while the Titanic sank. All that would get Alice is the Volturi showing up at her doorstep. No thank you.

For the rest of the world, the Titanic is an unimaginable tragedy. For Alice, it was a crappy night where she had to walk home under the ocean, ruining her fancy dress, because the stupid humans somehow sank the "unsinkable" ship.

I'm actually going to come out in Alice's defense here. The trouble with her is that she wants to care. She wants her life to have meaning, to have an identity, and so she chooses for herself the life she lives in canon.

There is no point to being a Cullen, to having a family and hobbies, interests, to following the diet, if it's not to make Alice something more human than a vessel for visions. Does that mean she's going to be able to connect with humans, or even other vampires, no, if it did she would be concerned by issues like "If Bella becomes a vampire, she is very likely to kill people and have to live with it" (she's not at all). She wants to, but from what I can tell she can't truly make up for what she lost when she forgot having ever been anything but what she is now.

Not caring isn't the same as not wanting to care, however. Alice has her "It helps if you think of them as people!" litany, she's delighted to interact with humans, and most importantly she chooses to live on the animal diet. I don't think Carlisle would kick her out if she didn't, she'd have a rough time of it with Edward and Rosalie but Jasper needs to be on the animal diet and for his sake Alice would be allowed to stay as well. Alternatively, she could just slip whenever she pleased, but this doesn't seem to be the case.

Faced with 1500 people dying and assuming Alice could prevent it, she wouldn't be able to continue believing she's Alice Cullen or that any of her attempts to reclaim some humanity have meant anything if she didn't, just as it would be a grim thing to witness if she couldn't prevent it.

Empathy is a difficult thing and she's not without it, just... stunted by her inability to connect with humans.

I'm new-ish to writing (i used to write fanfiction when i was like 13. i'm 18 now soo..) but I really wanna do it again.

So this is a list of characters/fandoms I write for as well as some rules for asks. Some things may be missing from this list so if you dont see something on this list, feel free to ask. :))

I will add a prompt list to this blog soon but again feel free to request other scenarious. Do add as much detail as you want to a request and please ALWAYS have at least some sort of prompt, as i'm really not good with coming up with storys on my own yet.

What if, through some magic curse, Rosalie feel in love with Carlisle, as in a 'love at first site' type moment?

The last time we discussed Carlisle/Rosalie on this blog.

Things get tragic fast, anon.

Carlisle's already married to Esme, now he finds he's in love with this traumatized young woman who's been raped to death. I doubt it would ever occur to him that Rosalie could possibly interested in him, especially when by his having this sudden horrible interest--it looks very much like he's intending to take advantage. He's faced with the dilemma of trying to suppress his sudden feelings or else have a hard conversation with Esme that this just isn't working after all and it turned out he wasn't in love with her and Edward was wrong. Given what happened to Rosalie, I imagine he chooses feeling suppression and tries to spend as little time in Rosalie's presence as possible.

Rosalie, for her own part, feels similarly in that she's coveting another woman's husband and a man she'd thought was much older than her (turns out he's not, doesn't shake the fact that he was posing as an older man in town for most of when she knew him). Added on to that that this man turned her into a demon, something she'll never ask for, that she can never have children as she wanted, and that her last not-really romance ended in her violent death and Rosalie also chooses the 'suppress your feelings' route and spends as little time in his presence as possible.

Rosalie though doesn't realize why Carlisle's avoiding her in turn and assumes he hates her/regrets his choice. She's very bitter over this.

Edward, of course, could resolve misunderstandings but has concluded Rosalie is a seductress trying to break up Carlisle and Esme simply so that she can confirm she's the most beautiful woman in the room.

Edward does everything in his power to drive her out of the family.

Rosalie likely demands Emmett be turned in the desperate hope that she'll fall out of love with Carlisle Cullen.

It doesn't work.

Canon somehow proceeds except Edward says even nastier things about Rosalie to Bella and Rosalie looks slightly more dead inside.

general opinions: she doesn't deserve all the hate from the fandom and here's why: no one new hybrids existed before resume. why would she go down there to talk it out with them when she already knew the cullens had broken many vampire laws recently? she was also grief stricken not only from losing her mom, but also from losing her mate, and vampires don't just get over it when they lose someone they love, especially their mate. her death was just used as a battle strategy, she didn't commit an actual crime, and during the confrontation she did apologize and refused to make an official complaint against the cullens. that's a convincing redemption arc if you ask me!

A/N: ok, I'll admit it.. I've had a crush on this cutie since like forever and I have daydreamed many scenarios with him. XD

tags/warnings: plays after the last movie, reader is a hybrid like renesme, he has siren-powers, including the headcanon that the vampires don't sparkle but their skin becomes "see through" when the sun hits them so you can see black blood swirling beneath it etc., I tried to make Edward a bit less suffering drama queen and a bit more comical/happy

So, you’re a siren

"Hello", Carlisle spoke with his soft tone to the wolf pack, "We're glad you came." He signaled for them to get inside the big house with floor-length windows. The sunlight shone through them for a few seconds and caught on the vampires' skin.

Some of the wolves still flinched at the sight of the swirling black blood, frozen organs and white bones under the translucent pale skin. It was something shocking, even horrifying. It made the fact even clearer that those people infront of you were undead. Caught it this body, this age and state, forever.

Edward heard all their thoughts. He had gotten used to the nonverbal comments, the mental shiver going through them at this scene. But as always he wasn't prepared for some of the more comedic things some of the boys thought from time to time when it came to his family of immortal beings.

He let out a snort and turned away to hide his growing grin as he surpressed the fit of giggles rising in his chest. The try to restrain made his organs visibly twitch and fortunately the sun went to hide behind a cloud again so that it was only noticable for a second.

Carlisle who had yet again been very observant smiled softly. "Apologies for making you a bit uncomfortable with this sight but we like to have one place where we don't have to hide."

"Don't worry", Sam answered just as calmly, "You don't have to apologize. It's just a bit surprising seeing it happen in real life. We'll get used to it eventually."

They had greatly detailed stories about the translucent skin of vampires and they had heard them a few times already. But as good as a storyteller can be, even if it's an old sacred legend, seeing it in person can be slightly terrifying. It made it much more real what actually happens around you.

"Tell me about it." Bella stood in the doorway to the kitchen and made her way towards them to hug her best friend Jacob. Just in time before her daughter walked out of that room too to hug her soulmate.

"So", the older alpha started, "Why did you want us to come over?" He had not missed the fact how Esme had placed a grounding hand on her husbands shoulder, how both Rosalie and Emmet seemed to stand guard on the stairs leading up towards the living room or how Renesmee stayed glued to Jake's side with a worried look on her face.

"We have something to show you. Or rather someone to introduce to you. We wanted to inform you properly of our newest family member since.. well, follow me and see yourself."

Sam quickly exchanged looks with some of his pack members before moving. They followed the vampired up the wooden stairs. Emmett, Rosalie and Jasper stood infront of the sofa purposely blocking the view to the person sitting there. When everyone stood in place Carlisle gave a signaling nod to the wall infront of their newest member.

"May I introduce (Y/N) to you. The reason why we wanted to do it this way is beacause he is like Renesmee. He is half vampire half human." The vampires moving to the side revealed a boy looking around the age of 19. You seemed worried and clearly anxious looking up at them and Emmett stayed close to you - just in case.

You looked into each new face trying a nice smile even though you knew it looked more like a forced grimmace.

When you came to a certain boy's face with warm eyes, cute features and a welcoming curious gaze everything stopped. The wolves tensed up slightly as they felt and saw the change in the room and Edward shoot up from the armrest of the chair Bella sat on.

The young wolf's eyes widened just like yours. And on top of that you also blushed as you couldn't turn your gaze away from him. "At least you can be sure now that he won't get hurt by us", Jake jocked earning a slap from Nessie.

Carlisle looked at Edward questioningly even though he was quite sure what was going on. Ed sighed and then grinned. He was happy for Seth who had become a good friend and almost like a brother to him. And he was happy for (Y/N) too. You had been so anxious the whole time with your thoughts racing around constantly and imagining almost every possible bad scenario.

"Seth imprinted. On (Y/N)", Eddie finally said out loud. Seth let out a heavy breath and looked at his sister anxiously. But she smiled when she catched his look even though she was still suspicious of this new boy they didn't know anything about yet.

Carlisle smiled calmly again. "Well then, I guess we get to the part of explaining a bit more." He gestured for everyone to get more comfortable. Seth immediately went to the sofa (Y/N) sat on making them both blush when he realized that his body had moved entirely on its own. Most of the others sat down or leaned against something while hardly suppressing giggles.

„Alright, another reason for that is the fact that he has powers too“, Carlisle continued. Every wolf‘s gaze went to the new hybrid trying to figure out if you had mental powers like Edward or Alice. „Do you want to explain them yourself?“, the oldest vampire asked you softly. You considered it for a moment before nodding. He smiled and signaled you to start.

“Uhm.. so, my dad, the vampire, had the powers to lure people in so that they would do what he wants them to do. That‘s how he managed to impregnate my mom who was apparently a very good singer. And well, my powers are basically a mix between those. I can hypnotize people through singing.“ You looked down at your hands feeling insecure with being so exposed to all those new people. „So you‘re basically a siren“, Seth said. You looked up at him with wide eyes.

You could only nod slowly and blushed again when your eyes caught his again. You had never thought of it this way. This term made your power seem really cool to be honest.

“Sorry“, Sam said to get your attention, “May I ask how you came to be here with the Cullens.“

Your eyes instantly went to Carlisle and Esme. They had been the most calming parts to you from the start. As well as Jasper of course who used his power a tiny bit so you wouldn‘t get another panic attack.

Esme gave you a warm smile. So, you gave them a short summary of your not so pleasant life.

How you were born and your mother had died immediately. That you were ‘raised‘ by her boss - the owner of a strip club. You didn‘t really have a choice or chance to get somewhere else. Then your so called father had shown up when he heard of your powers and wanted to take you with him.

Well, jokes on him because you had researched in secret, had heard from the Cullen clan and actually managed to run away. Bonus point that your ‘dad‘ had followed you and was.. removed with the help of the Cullens who had took you in when they heard your story.

It was quiet for only a few seconds but it was enough for your heartbeat to pick up again as you started to tense up.

Untill warm fingers brushed over yours. Seth didn‘t take your hand entirely but it helped you calm down. You looked at him and saw the small smile he gave you. It was warm, sweet and sunny. And you noticed that he had a cute dimple.

You gave a smile back, almost not noticeable. But Seth‘s senses were already fully focused on you. Every little change in your handsome face, those pretty eyes or your body was as clear as day from the moment you had linked eyes.

“Thank you for telling us“, Sam said with a warm voice. “I guess it is already clear that we will protect you as well. And you‘re always welcome on our land.“ He looked at Seth and then at your liked fingers laying on the cushions.

After that you all relaxed much more. Emmett still stayed close to you - he was pretty sure that you weren’t in danger anymore but he couldn’t deny that he had immediately had the urge to be like a big brother to you. And like with all his family, he wanted to protect you no matter what.

Leah came to you and introduced herself. She was still a bit cold and reluctant at first but soon warmed up to you. You really seemed like a good choice for her little brother - though she still swore to give you at least a light shovel talk once you felt better and safer. She didn‘t want to scare you off, just give you a little warning with care.

Isabella Swan is incredibly bisexual.

She dates Edward in the end but when she first saw the Cullen's, she couldn't decide who was more beautiful, Rosalie or Edward.

Also, the amount of fanfics with the Rosalie/ Bella pairing is amazing, if you haven't read any, I definitely recommend. I ship those two more than Bella/ Edward.
