Superhero AU where Tommy has healing powers, one of the rarest powers documented recently.
The thing is, it isnt actually a rare power, it's just that everyone who has that power hides it
now Tommy knows why
Healing powers had always been portrayed as a good power with a warm feeling, and the person being healed doesnt feel any pain
but whenever Tommy uses his power, he feels all the pain the wounded person is experiencing tenfold
For that reason, Tommy hides his power
It wasnt easy, coming from a family of famous and top heroes
Feeling the disappointment from his family was better than feeling pain that no one can stop
at least he had his wings from his father, he could still work and become a hero
just not one like his family
His fathers wings were far bigger than his, and he also had power over the wind.
His eldest brother, Techno, was the strongest hero out there
his other older brother, Wilbur, could make people do his biding with just a few words
then there was him, nothing really special
Tommy had tried joining patrol, but once things got too dangerous, everyone told him to stay back or go home
even his friends were more of use on patrol, one can charge objects with his energy and make them into explosions, one can teleport, and one has antigravity
If Tommy were to say he had healing powers, that would automatically make him important
but he cant go through feeling immense pain healing heroes, he's seen how badly they hurt themselves
he hoped to never use his power again. at least, he did until he had to heal his brother
Everything happened so fast that it became a blur
Purpled was running on the ceiling, but his power stopped working abruptly so he fell on Tubbo
Tubbo then dropped a rock he was charging up and it rolled over to a stone pillar and blew up
Ranboo fell back with the explosion, and teleported away before the pillar fell on him, but didnt see Phil behind him
Phil rolled away from the pillar, but not far enough so his wing was crushed under the pillar
Techno rushed to lift the pillar up and off Phil's wing
With everyone occupied, Tommy was the only one who noticed that Wilbur had the villain, and the villain, rather than be caught, pulled Wilbur back with him
off a multi-story building
If Tommy was fast enough, he could have caught Wilbur
but he was too late
It was a miracle wilbur was even alive considering the state his body was in, but it was noticeable that he was barely hanging on
there was no way Wilbur was going to make it if they had to wait for the ambulance, no way he would survive the trip to the hospital
Tommy had no choice but to use his powers
even if it felt like he was being torn apart
He could see Wilbur getting better, so he pushed through the pain, and ignored the blurry vision from the tears running down his face. Tommy couldn't hear anything anymore
was it because of how loud he was screaming?Probably, maybe also because his body was also giving out, not being able to handle this amount of pain
Wilbur was almost better, almost new
Wilbur has done so much good as a hero and could do more. More than Tommy
Tommy gave it his all, he wouldn't be able to do what Wilbur does. Couldnt become half the hero he is
So now Tommy lay on the ground, unconscious. The human body can only handle so much. And now it was unsure if Tommy would wake up.
at least Wilbur was alive

Now that I'm home and can actually type out my thoughts...
I cant believe I was right about something that wasnt angsty and doom and gloom! The tree is the way home and it doesnt work like anyone thought it would! You need a desire or a tie to get back to Remnant, and more importantly, its a choice to go back!
Now that I have that out of the way, I actually really liked this episode and it did give us a few answers that we needed. It gave us the answers to how they'll get home, how to get to the tree, what the tree is, and how ascension works for the most part.
But also, I really enjoyed how the paper pleasers came back so quickly just to give Jaune and his friends that confirmation that everything will be okay. Which gave way to them to accept their failures and allow them to finally be open to the tree. The fact that their worries start to easy about Ruby with the fact that Ascension isnt actually death, that death doesnt actually seem to exist here in the Ever After and that the tree essentially "heals" someone by allowing them to become who they want to be.
But going back to the door to Remnant, its nice to know that you have to have a desire to get back and I think this is what's going to help Neo. The fact that she doesnt have anyone or any ties left to Remnant right now is purely because of that hollow feeling she had after she got her revenge on Ruby. Now that she's finished that, she doesnt feel like she has anything. It didnt help her, it didnt fix anything, just left her more empty than ever. But this is just the first step to healing. The fact remains that once she's saved from the cat, she'll be given that choice to come back to remnant and to make that tie again so she can actually go back. While I doubt its going to result in her being best friends with any of the heroes, it'll be the hand she needs to be given a chance to be better.
And then Ruby. Ruby really is starting to feel the weight she's been holding on her own. And the blacksmith really is trying to help her by showing her what it is that she wants. Which means, with the way she started grabbing Summer's weapon, she may get to see a bit of Summer that she never knew about and maybe get to see the truth of what happened to her.
And the finale for this volume is going to be great. We'll finally see Ruby become who she wants to be, or at least who she wants Ruby to be, we'll get to see a bit of Summer, watch how everything happens between the cat and WBYJ, and maybe even see just how long theyve been gone from Remnant once they go through the door. I'm hoping a little time will have passed, like a week to a month for Remnant, or that we dont get to see any of it until vol 10. Either way, I'm stoked.

It’s all for his sake - Endeavor and the Sunk Cost Fallacy
My hero academia 301 is a pretty interesting chapter, but for me, the most notable piece of it was how Endeavour reacted to the realization that Touya couldnt surpass All Might.
Tumblr media
upon realizing that his son might not be able to do it because of inborn physical limitations, he immediatly stopped his training, which frankly was the responsible and adult thing to do.
This stint of real parenthood did not last long however.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After taking the matter to a doctor, he is flat out told that not only cant Touya achive what endeavor wants, but it is a direct result of his incredibly selfish and irresponsible attempt to play god, by trying to breed the “perfect” hero into being.
Tumblr media
It is how you react when you lose however, that shows who you really are, and endeavor illustrates that very, very well.
Upon being told in no uncertain terms that his attempts at Breeding an heir failed magnificently, producing a child that was not capable of resisting his own immense power, but also admonished by his doctor for even attempting it, and adviced not to try again, Endeavor instead doubled down, while focusing on the child he screwed over from the start with his attempt at genetic manipulation.
It was all for him you see. Endeavor doesnt use those words, but that is how he spins it here. it was all for Touya, all for his sake. if i stop now, then Touya was all for nothing, a mistake, im doing this for my son.
if im doing this for my son, then im not responsible for any of this.
his wife however, calls him out on it, as she understands Touya much, much more than endeavor does. or rather, she sees him fully as a human being, instead of as a thing, a weapon, a failed attempt at an heir.
Tumblr media
Unlike Endeavor, Rei is able to see the way this all is affecting her son. She is able to see, and understand that Touya has fully accepted what Endeavor wanted him to be. a stronger, and better version of himself. however, unlike Endeavor, she only cares about him as a person.
Endeavour by comparison isnt completely uncaring about Touya. like most abusive parents, he does possess love for his offspring, but it is forever tainted by the fact that however much he might care, or not care about Touya, any familial love he has for his son is tainted by the fact that to Endeavor, he is a failed experiment, a failed heir, not his child.
He is the golden child that Endeavor was building up as his true and only heir, who he breed, trained, and molded to for that single purpose, and now that he’s reached a point where he cant continue that legacy.
so, its time to abandon him, and start over new, despite literarily having just learned how stupid this plan was, and that it can, in fact, go completely wrong, with a quirk that will fuck over the person he brings into the world.
Of course, Endeavor doesnt use those words to frame it. there is no way to pretend to be a hero, if you phrase it like that after all. Intead, this is the words he uses.
Tumblr media
this is a very important series of panels for a great number of reasons, some that can be debated, argued, and we will probably never know the full truth to the questions because this is a series published in 2020′s shonen jump, and there are things that probably wasnt gonna fly with Hori’s editors, if it was the case.
but lets start with what can not be debated. Endeavor’s words here.
“If we want him to give it up, then we have no choice... Touya... Cant surpass him.”
These are very telling words, and however you believe The third and fourth children of the Todoroki family was concieved, there is not denying the meaning of what he’s saying here.
The only way that my son will stop being an idiot and fall into line, is if we have another baby. that is the only Right way to move forward. it is morally right, because if we dont do this, then he’s going to destroy himself.
there are two ways to interpret this scene.
The charitable way is to read it as the fact that he used Rei’s oldest son’s mental state as a justification of guilting his wife to have a third child, to give this attempt at a superpowered breeding project another shot, despite the fact that they now know that this can lead to a child who is essentially born crippled from his own powers, and despite the fact that Rei obviously understands the effect of them continuing this insanity will have on their oldest son.
the uncharitable way to look at it, is that he used this as justification for flat out raping her, and forcing a third, and then later a fourth child on her.
I personally believe the last one, given a number of factors shown in this chapter(the way this page is framed, the fact Rei obviously didnt want a third child, given she predicted exactly how touya would react, the way her eyes would latet turn when she looks at who is presumably touya which really brings to mind how she would later react to her youngest son’s face after her mental breakdown, etc.), but i’ll frankly admitt that withouth a direct quote from Hori, its impossible to know for sure one way or another.
either way however, this is a very good example of Endeavor both being influenced by, and using Sunk Cost Fallacy to justify bringing another potentially crippled child into the world for his own, selfish goals.
sunk cost Fallacy, is a mental reaction to when you invest more time and resources into a project, that you becomes so emotionally invested into said project that you will continue to invest into it, even if it reaches a point that it becomes clear that the resources you put into it, far, far outweighs the potential gains you can achieve.
because if you give up after having invested years, and years of effort to breed, raise, and train a kid, and then all that effort was absolutely wasted. hence he choose to keep going, despite having learned what a terrible idea this is.
He doesnt care about the fact that his next child might be even more crippled than his firstborn, he doesnt care about his son’s actual wellbeing. he cares about the fact that if he doesnt continue this insanity, then not only will he not achieve his dreams, but everything he did to get to this point was for absolutely nothing.
and endeavor cannot accept that. and so long as he can justify breeding more children into the world, and there being any chance they might inherit both quirks perfectly, he doesnt care about anything else.
Tumblr media
and the moment he realised that this kid wasnt gonna cut it either, he did it again. it is not a coincidence, that the age gap between Endeavor’s second, third, and fourth children were all 3-4 years apart. because thats the age where you can usually tell when a quirk will manifest or not, as established earlier in the series.
While she isnt brought up directly by Endeavor as a justification, it is very telling that Endeavor decided on having a third child, only after his second child was old enough that he could tell that that there was no chance she could take the place as his heir instead.
So, he had his third child, and as time passed and it became obvious that he wasn’t gonna be able to fulfill Endeavor’s goals either, he dumped him, and instead breed a fourth child into existence.
and finally, he struck gold. he did it. he produced Shoto.
Tumblr media
everything was finally worth it, and now, everything would be absolutely fine. the cost fallacy had reached its end, and it was now all full sails ahead.
except of course it wasnt.
His oldest son, now in middle school, had been raised from birth to believe he would surpass his father, only to be thrown away, and getting to see his father try to replace him, not once, but twice.
Tumblr media
frankly, this scene is probably my favorite in the chapter, because it goes to show Endeavor’s mindset. Natsuo made a point that their father completely ignored his older children. and he did... from Natsuo’s perspective. however, having a more thourough picture of things, we can clearly see that this wasnt the case with Touya.
Endeavor genuinly cared for Touya, enough that once he got that child he tried to breed into existence 4 times, he genuinly wanted him to just abandon trying to be a hero. he genuinly thinks of himself as a good dad here, wanting his son to abandon the mission he set out for him before he was born. of course, with context, this heartwarming scene is incredibly sad and insidious, because we understand why Endeavor got so attached to his oldest child. because he WAS the golden child. he was the child Endeavor genuinly cared about, and invested in, and trained personally with great warmth and enthusiasm.
And not only did he abandon him as a failed project the moment he realized he wasnt gonna live up to his ridiculous standards, but he literarily created 2 more kids to try and replace him, just as his oldest son was old enough to understand what exactly his dad was doing. over the course of this chapter, we get to see Touya’s start as a 5-8 year old, his deteriorating mental state over the years, until he finally seemed to reach the breaking point with Shoto’s birth sometime in his middle school years 12-15.
Endeavor is in this scene, just not capable of understanding why Touya so desperately wants to become a hero, when obviously he isnt physically able to do so. he isnt able to understand that he is 100% to blame for the fact that his son is having a full emotional breakdown after literaly being replaced by his siblings.
In other words, Endeavor genuinly think’s he’s a good person. a person who has made a few mistakes along the way sure, but a person who was always justified in the end, and now that he’s having to face the fact that as dabi would later say “The past never dies” and has to face the aftermath of his inane attempt to play god for the pettiest of reasons, things simply arent going to work out.
He isnt going to have a happy family, who can now put the awful early years behind them, he put way too much effort, caused too much suffering and sacrificed too many years of his life for this not to work out as he wants.
after all, if he walks away from this project now, and lets Shoto have a normal childhood, and decide for himself, with no pressure from him, wheter or not to become a hero, then the sunk cost fallacy will have reached a negative end. it will all have been for nothing.
and we know he did eventually double down on this mentality, literarily beating into Shoto that he WAS going to become a hero, and there was not but’s or no’s about it.
there was no way that Endeavor was EVER going to let things be for nothing. His treatment of his older children could not be for nothing. His treatment of his wife could not be for nothing. His treatment of Shoto, and the way he beat him black and blue to train him, could not be for nothing.
Because if it all was for nothing, if everything he feels guilty about was for absolutely nothing, then he was in fact, a bad, bad person, who had no justification for anything he ever did.

Everything that... not exactly right with Uraraka Ochako. Part 2
Tumblr media
When I first read about Uraraka traitor theory my first thoughts were “Whoa, that would be really interesting. But it cant be because...” and here I freezed. I realised that the only big reason why I thought it couldnt be was because she is supposed to be Deku love interest. And that actually cant be counted as a real reason.
Before starting about Ochako possibly being traitor let me point out some things about Ua traitor in general.
Tumblr media
Personally I am surprised about this story point. When Mic officially announced it I felt this will not be long before revelation. But here we are in arguably last part of story and mystery still here. It means that traitor plot has bigger weight than I thought. Its something Kohei planned to fully get into play now when things have already got pretty dark.
Overall mole troupe in my option hast to follow two rules to make it work.
1) It has to make sense. Lets for example say Bakugou is a traitor. Shocking? Yes. Makes sense? Zero.
2) It has to have some impact. It doesnt mean it has to be shocking for the sake of shocking. But if revelation doesnt have any impact on readers then what even the point? So yes I get that someone like Hagakure has perfect quirk for the job  but at this point it would be just bad writing to make her one.
Can there be someone used for espionage without them actually knowing it? Ala first season of Young Justice? Sure. But I would say at this point it wouldnt be good writing choice. So I am not going analyze this theory.
First lets narrow numbers a bit. This just my option though.
Tumblr media
Is traitor even a student? Are they actually in class A?
Yes, most likely he or she is in Deku class. At this point ( I write these posts with manga being 323 chapters.) it makes little sense to be outsider. And 320 presented us with small ( but legit ) proof. I think. Just when Deku was thinking how nobody of his friends have any malice Danger Sense gave signal. It was very low so its not surprise Deku himself didnt notice it. He had emotional breakdown at the moment. Even if somebody ( Stain, Dictator companion) follows Deku I still pretty sure this is traitor hint. Its like “Nope, kiddo. Not all your friends are so great as you think of them”
Theres also possibly another hidden hint about traitor being in class A but I will point it latter.
And now using those two rules about mole troupe lets narrow this even more.
1) From having to make sense point I think it would be logical to exclude from the list of suspects Deku,Shoto,Bakugou,Momo,Iida and Kirishima. I am not going into details why I think people who have read all chapters will more or less get the reasons
2) From having to have impact I exclude four people. Strictly speaking it probably should be more but lets stay with four. They are Mineta, Koda, Hagakure, Sato.
So we left with something like this.
Tumblr media
The last point I would like to point about Ua traitor in general is that he or she works for Afo not Shigaraki. He or she started work prior Tomura made his official debut at Usj attack
Tumblr media
In other words he or she would be senpai to Toga, Dabi, Spinner and other League members. Thats to say I suspect except Shiraki and probably Kurogiri nobody in League knew that they have mole on their side.
My guess is that Afo pulled the strings and got info that All Might was gonna be teacher at Ua.
Tumblr media
It probably didnt take long for Afo to figure out what for All Might suddenly decided to become teacher. To find successor. Even if  it wouldnt be first year having someone inside would be the best way to find out. So uncle Afo either recruited  fitting person or already had someone for such occasion. How come? Who knows he is evil mastermind after all.
So if traitors main employer is Afo are they still works for Shigaraki? Was there something that proves it? Yes, I think was.
Tumblr media
During Yakuza raid Tamaki made assumption that hero side had a leak seeing how prepared Chisaki group was. This idea was brushed off but as readers we know a bit more than random police guy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is timeline of the morning of the raid. Kai went to see old boss, Eri grandpa, shortly before start of operation. He knew they were coming. Most likely Shigaraki shared information. It was a leak.
Tumblr media
Cutting pros, Aizawa, big 3,Deku we left with Kirishima, Asui and Ochako as main suspects. And since I personally cut Kirishima too it would means only girls left.
Thats first very-very base hint thats its Ochako
Though of course this alone doesnt means it cant be other student. Since theres not guarantee that in building full of people with super powers somebody didnt have ability to intercept information.
I know people like Hagakure and Kaminari would be always under suspicion because of that. Though Kaminari has another points. But it surprise me that fandom didnt put Jiro on the same shelf since she has fitting ability too.
Tumblr media
But anyway this is my first stone at the base of Ochako being traitor building. Lets go further.
Tumblr media
Lets start with blue point in her profile. I think at this point people interested in Bnha already know main meaning of her name so let me dont stop there.
Her name is indeed nuanced. If you change kanji reading in Ochako you might get osatsu ( お札 ) -  bill, note (currency) witch hints her problems with money.
But here comes the problem. Practically all characters ( except quirkless) in Bnha has names that hints their quirks. But hers doesnt have that. Kohei says this is very nuanced name but then it doesnt have nuance all others have. Is this a troll?
At best with big stretch first three kanji of her full name can be read as Uravity but thats not it if you ask me. Its all even more curious because in class A theres two people that dont have their quirks hinted in names. One Ochako and another is... Aoyama.
                                           Ochako and Aoyama
Tumblr media
Currently (323 chapters) Aoyama is probably the most obvious candidate for traitor role. If you just read things as they are without looking deeper.
His quirk is navel laze and his name doesnt have anything connected to that. Thats one of the reasons why theres option he is either actually quirkless or was given quirk by Afo. Not bad theory.
Personally I suspect his name does have a hint of his quirk but in unusual way. His name is Yuga and it might be reference to yugamu ( 歪む) - bend, wrap something because he has to twist his body to make his quirk useful. But thats just my thought.
Anyway it wouldnt surprise me if Aoyama turns to be a traitor. But I really doubt about that. If anything he give me impression of someone asked to find mole.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
His and Deku dorms are close to each other and I wonder if this is coincidence. Maybe Nezu and higher ups asked Aoyama to help figure out traitor? And look for Deku? (By the way Nezu is one of the character that had long pov about traitor so can people chill a bit about him being one?)
Why him though? For once Aoyama is surprisingly insightful. He is strange but he notices a lot. We still dont know where he was during Usj. So maybe he saw something back then.
Tumblr media
Maybe its just me but 167-68 felt like he tried to warn Deku about something. Or someone.
Tumblr media
Still waters run deep - quite or friendly people are not as simple as they look. They may have secrets. Thats to say have we seen similar stone already?
Tumblr media
Aoyama and her were in tag team against teacher. Interesting is that they were 4th team announced and their opponent was 13th sensei. 4 and 13 - two unlucky numbers. He was the first one to point out that she likes Deku. Not in teasing way. He simply constated that.
Maybe he noticed something else about her? Maybe thats why he tried warn Deku? (assuming thats what he tried to do)
Deku is friends with all his class but theres four people especially close to him.
Tumblr media
It would be level more painful for Deku if traitor is one of those four. Maybe Yuga just tried prepare him for that.
In short it wouldnt surprise me if Aoyama turns to be a traitor after all. But. It would also makes sense if he is someone who suspects Ochako being a mole. And worry for Deku because of this.
Last point about Aoyama is very random but I think its worth mentioning this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
During sport festival Aoyama was supposed to be living disco ball. However somehow rope thats was prepared for that ended up all frayed. What would happened if they didnt notice it? Well the twinkling hero would end up either dead or very badly hurt,  And I suspect it wasnt just coincidence. Somebody tried either kill Aoyama or force him to take long break.
It would be another hint about traitor being in class A.
Its very random though.
This part turns out to be more about Ua traitor in general that about Ochako candidacy. But 3 part will be only about that.

hi this is evilmario666 anon. im ok now and i realized that despite the misogyny that does exist on account of genre and perspective re:zero actually understands the subaru archetype of guy very well and i was jumping to conclusions too quickly based on what i was seeing. it was impolite and unfair of me and id like to apologize both to re;zero and you, i am no longer on the verge of a blood rage. thanks once more because i am genuinely having a ball of a time . lost track of arc numbers but im on the one where subaru accidentally SPOILERS kills emilia becaus he tries to reveal return by death
NO YEA ANON ITS OK sorry i didnt respond to ur first ask last night i was too tired to read long things lol
but i TOTALLY get how you feel like subaru early on legit annoyed me with his behavior, and it was completely intentional. not that he didnt have his endearing traits, i think the first thing that made me really like him was the fact that he got to know the names of the village kids and legit cared about them a lot because before getting to know them he just considered them and everyone around him as "npcs", and the village kids in particular arent "important" characters. (also dont take all of what im about to say as subaru hate, having read most of the story now i legit love the guy but im just talking abt his portrayal in the show in the early arcs)
basically arc 1 just served to introduce us to characters and concepts so there wasnt all too much of an arc there, subaru is dense as hell so he still came out of all that thinking he was gonna get his Isekai Harem Fantasy and so when he arrived at the mansion in arc 2 he literally treated all the characters like tropes (even before that though he would assume emilia's behavior based on what the tropey response would be). he just didnt see any of them as people and thats where a lot of the conflict came from, in order to overcome in that arc he had to actually befriend both rem and ram in a way that actually mattered, and he really did start to care about them as people and we know that because of the story he tells ram about the ogres.
arc 3 though addresses his mindset about this hero fantasy he has a lot more bluntly, because while he may have grown some in arc 2, he still has a huge martyr complex and places emilia into this role where he gets to be her hero even though she didnt ask for that, and their fight about it is simultaneously really satisfying to see him called out, and hard to watch because hes being such a child about it, hes so incredibly entitled to her at this point. the show luckily frames him as completely in the wrong and shows us the nastiest parts of this mindset in him. one of my favorite scenes in this arc is the one where he accidentally kills her, but just before that. when he rushes into the room and yells at her about how shes useless and unable to save anyone and we focus on her face, and she just says "why are you crying?" and the cut zooms into her eye to reveal that he was staring at his own reflection in it, he was talking to himself. that just perfectly describes what she is to him at that point- a beacon to project all his insecurity and doubt. re:zero loves using those eye-reflection shots, and i love seeing them because my absolute favorite theme in the story is "self-recognition through the other"
subaru does legitimately learn and become better, he acknowledges how shitty hes been in his convo with rem and it gets turned into a really sweet moment between the two of them, and it gets memed a lot but "i love emilia" is honestly a really good line because its in that moment that he stops trying to either run away or project and face his feelings genuinely in a way that doesnt throw her under the bus. by the time arc 4 rolls around hes so much more likable, and his dynamic and relationship with emilia becomes honestly really cute, the way they talk is sort of dorky and charming (spoilers, but even when they have another argument that calls back to the one they had in arc 3, you feel its coming from a legit place now, and when he kisses her he does so only after getting explicit consent and telling her its okay to dodge). hes so much more sympathetic and you really root for him. i loved the choice to not show any of his backstory until arc 4, the point where youre supposed to be on his side completely.
all that being said though its NOT a series i think is perfect nor do i think its super feminist, i just think its a good deconstruction of these isekai tropes and calls them out in a blunt way that i enjoy seeing. there are lots of things about it that i dont like too though, some of the character designs sort of bother me and seem antithetical to this, part of that is that the writer and character designer are different people but it still passed. but i still enjoy the story and characters enough that it doesnt totally sully my enjoyment of it (some are more egregious than others tho). at the end of the day im so along for this whole ride, i love the way it explores its themes, again especially the whole "self-recognition through the other" thing but also suicidal ideation and of course the deconstruction of what the isekai genre has become.
TL;DR: the series perfectly understands the type of nerdboy that watches isekai anime and wants to be sent to another world just like their favorite blank-slate nerdy protagonist and it directly calls them out, saying "no. youre not gonna be an OP hero who saves the day and gets all the bitches with that fucking attitude. youre not gonna be able to escape your insecurities via this escapism, you treat the women around you like trash, youre not entitled to any of this, youre just pathetic." and though subaru is a character that gets better many of the viewers of the series straight up plugged their ears to its themes so they can jack off to rem lol.

The Wrong Way to Put Out Fire
Tumblr media
I wanna talk about some details about Touya, Todoroki family and the different situtions Touya and Shouto had.
Tumblr media
Touya is introduced us as innocent, nice kid who just wants to enjoy his father.
Tumblr media
Thats actually first difference we saw between Touya and Shouto. Sometimes children fond of one of their parents more than other one. For Touya, he was daddy’s boy. Shouto is more like mommmy’s boy. (Even their clothes are parallels. Fire, ice. Daddy, mommy.)
And let me say this;
This marriage was wrong to begin with. Quirk marriage, the fact that Endeavour decided to put his ambitions on his children is wrong.
But as a first born, for Touya, his family was normal. Children dont magically understand what is right or wrong.
Tumblr media
He simply saw that he got his father’s attention and it made him really really happy. Training was the bond he had with his father. Touya’s thoughts probably like; I am daddy’s son, my father is really happy when i become more strong etc etc.
Even he realize his family is different from other people, he probably simply thought that it might be different but its their thing. This is why we saw Touya as happy. Touya felt special when he got his father’s all attention.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Touya saw his mother is okay with it. He probably saw that many times even when father being disrespectfull, mom doesnt seem to mind that much. This is probably why he starts to looks down on his mother too. Its just children dont respect adults who dont respect theirselves. If child think he can get away with it, they would simply do it. Mommy allows daddy to be the boss of the house, mommy allows daddy’s to be disrespectfull to herself so its ok to disrespectfull to mommy too. Thats how children think in those situtions.
What was Shouto’s difference then?
Tumblr media
Shouto as last born, he never think his family is normal or this sitution is okay cause when Shouto is born, everyone in family already starts to break down. Mommy wasnt okay at all.
Tumblr media
Endeavour put his own ambitions on Touya’s shoulders, he gave him impossible expectations which is literally name of the chapter. Wrong way to put out the fire. Those impossible expectations is abuse, btw.
Tumblr media
Everything started cause Endeavour put out fire on wrong place, his family.
And after Touya failed, he was thrown away. Touya probably felt like; his father took him to the highest hill of the building, made him feel special but then threw him down.
Tumblr media
Touya started to get the attention he had at first place to the point he started to burn himself over and over again. Look at how terryfying he looks when his brothers were born...
Tumblr media
At this point, he understand he is replacable which made him question why was he born at first place.
Tumblr media
Of course, Touya wouldnt listen Endeavour when he said ‘there is a life outside of being a hero’ cause Endeavour himself doesnt live his life like that. Children arent stupid, they observe adults’s actions too. Endeavour’s words condract with his actions thats why his words didnt reach out to Touya.
Tumblr media
Touya was in a lot of pain to the point his heigh stopped growing (Look how he is shorter than his siblings), burns himself, his hair starts to change probably cause he used his quirk too much, he even starts to pull his hair which is sign of suicide. He was literally small kid who was mentally breaking down and he expressed his pain every way he can do but he was ignored.
Tumblr media
Fuyumi-chan didnt understand him. Natsuo-kun doesnt listen him either. (Touya thought Fuyumi-chan didnt understand her cause she is girl but the reason she and Natsuo doesnt understand is they didnt have the same expectation at first place.)
Tumblr media
And mommy is at fault too cause she is the one who allowed daddy to raised him like this at first place. She is the one the accepted this marriage, she is responsible too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For a child, to be understood is very important thing but they didnt get it. He realized his siblings dont understand him. Even though, Touya was so mentally unstable to the point he attack his baby brother, his parents still didnt get him help or didnt specifically take care of him, instead they constantly ignore him. They kept telling him to forget what happenned and look other way.
Tumblr media
This is exactly why Touya couldnt hold on something else cause in deep, he knows only way to be seen is prove himself.
Tumblr media
For Touya, his mother didnt there for him. His mother allowed this to happen too. This is why his situtions are opposite of Shouto’s.
Touya thought family is normal, his daddy loves him, this is why training was fun.
Tumblr media
This is why he end believing everything Endeavour taught him. Even he uses same words, literally in same chapter.
Tumblr media
‘I live in different world from others.’
Tumblr media
Shouto realized family isnt normal and father is the one who make everyone unhappy. This is why he hated training cause he realized father is forcing him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For Touya, mother wasnt there for him and ignored his pain.
Tumblr media
For Shouto, his mother was there for him, this is why she became his emotional support.
This is also why Shouto tried to protect mom cause Rei at this point was really in pain and she was reaching her breaking point. Mommy is there for me, i love mommy but dad make mommy upset, dad is the bad guy here.
Meanwhile for Touya, he didnt really see his mom as sad, he saw her being okay with sitution, thats why he probably think that the way Endeavour treat her as normal cause she accepted this sitution.
Tumblr media
All those opposite situitons made them think opposite way. Not because one is good or bad, its just they had different kind of abuse. (Also hair symbolism is nice parallel too).
Though despite opposite situtions, they were also similar too. They were so cold child soldiers who only think about getting revenge from father, just opposite way cause Shouto has.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Touya waited his father to come forest to watch him but Endeavıur didnt come until Touya was burn to death.
Tumblr media
Touya’s death wasnt just an accident but its both also suicide and murder. Touya was suicidal, he kept burning himself but parents didnt look at him and Endeavour is the one who push him this mental state. Even Touya says himsef;
‘After all, the only  thing he taught me was how to turn up the heat’
Tumblr media
Touya had to burn and reborn to get daddy’s attention again but even after his death, he was hardly mentioned by his family. I mean if Dabi never become a villain, they wouldnt even discuss this case as family.
And i honestly dislike how Todoroki handle this sitution.
Tumblr media
Rei says everyone is responsible but Shouto, Fuyumi and Natsuo were children, its not their fault. Rei is at fault for not being there for Touya and Endeavour is the most at fault for making Touya mentally unstable. I hate how children carry the mistakes of Endeavour, it wasn their fault.
Tumblr media
And with their talk, they made it sound like Shouto is better than Touya cause look, he became a hero and he forgave them!
Tumblr media
I mean, Shouto didnt have much choice cause Endeavour forced him to be a hero. Even Endeavour wasnt there, Shouto had emotional support (mom) and inspiration (allmight) to be hero, he also has strong qurik so no wonder he can be hero, you know. But Touya didnt have any of it. He didnt have emotional support, inspiration to be better or strong quirk.
Tumblr media
Not even need to mention how both Early-Shouto and Dabi obsess with revenge, cold child soldiers who dont pay attention to people around them. Just Shouto was in better environment and then he met Deku and he started to heal.
Tumblr media
Even Shouto saw himself in Dabi, how he could be like him but he was lucky to be saved. Even their wound smbolically shows their pain. For Shouto, it was boiling water but for Touya, it was very strong fire that will burn him to dush.
Tumblr media
Yeah, Dabi is villain but even so. To Deku, Shigaraki is completely stranger but he still thoguht that he needs to be saved. Meanwhile, Todoroki family knew what happenned to Touya. They are personally involved with him but i found it weird it how they didnt mention about ‘saving him’.
Tumblr media
I mean maybe thats what they will try eventually but still....i think heroes are good, villains are bad sitution contnues even in this sitution cause they say Dabi is the one who needs to be stopped and Endeavour is the one who take a hand.
Shouto needs to offer that hand to Dabi, not Endeavour cause the one who needs to be saved is Dabi/Touya, not Endeavour.
Not to mention how Best Jeanist and Hawks coldy listen sitution.
Tumblr media
I guess, even after this, they still dont really look at Dabi’s pain cause if they saw it, at least they would talk about helping him more than stopping him...what a tragedy.
Tumblr media
Touya, after everything he had been through is still ignored, even by his own family, remind me of Tenko’s sitution :’))).

Can I request a All Might x reader where class 1-A finds out hes dating someone whose quirk is a siren (Can control someone when they sing)? Maybe the students reaction especially Midoryia?
I don’t know if I did this one justice hahah but I did my best!
AllMight x reader (I went for gn but I might have slipped up in a few places just let me know)
Hero name: Sirenity
“Okay class today we are having a surprise special guest coming to talk to you guys” Aizawa sounds completely uninterested in this day and honestly he did feel like it was a drag, but he figures with your lecture and answering questions he could buy at least a 30-40 minute nap, at best you’d take up the whole hour. That is if nothing went wrong and with you being the number 5 hero he doesnt think too much trouble will happen. “They are a fairly new hero but that didn’t stop them from rising to the top ten quickly” you walk through the door and chuckle when it seems you interrupted him introducing you.
“Sirenity here will be talking to you about their experience with hero training and being a side kick” You were a few minutes early and Aizawa was mentally adding the few minutes more to his nap time. As Aizawa was zipping up his sleeping bag you stopped in front of the class with a smile “Good morning class!” you say to the students who were freaking out talking to each other about how cool you are, you see a green haired boy absolutely losing his damn mind in the back, muttering to himself while staring with wide eyes. “QUIET!” Aizawa yelled from his place on the floor and the class stopped talking, the green haired boy snapping out of whatever he was doing.
“Hey guys! I’m Sirenity and if you aren't familiar with me my quirk is like a siren, I can control people when I sing. I’m also an amazing swimmer but it isn’t related” you chuckle and watch the green haired boy laugh and then scribble intensely in a notebook, a few other students gave you pity laughs or smiles and you took it, any laughter is good in your book.
“When I graduated from UA, I was actually in general studies. It wasn’t until I went to America and went to a hero university that I realized what I could offer as a hero. I actually had a little help and training from a friend to really encourage me to realize my dream.” green haired boy’s hand flies in the air, his other hand coming over his head to hold his elbow, his eyes shine as he waits for you to call on him. “Yes in the back? What’s your name?” he stands and bows “Izuku Midoriya Ma’am/Sir but my hero name is Deku!” you hold in a chuckle as you smile at his enthusiasm, realizing this is the boy that All Might talks about all the time. a blonde in the middle of class snickers but you ignore it “it’s a pleasure to meet you Deku” he stands up straight and sends you such an intensely excited look “did you know All Might in America?!” he asks and then sits back down
“I did actually, he was the friend i was talking about. I stayed in America though when he came back here” you smile at the young boy as he scribbles away again, his question and the subject making you think about those days when you first met All Might. Strong and cocky, always smiling. You didn’t like him when you first met him, thought it was weird that a kid in your same high school also came to the same area in America. You kept finding yourselves around the same people during parties which was even more annoying when you were actively avoiding him. You blame his best friend at the time who was dating your best friend at the time. After a party that ended in drinking games with truth or dare and spin the bottle, you got to know him a little bit better and you became actual friends when you both ditched before they could rope you into seven minutes in heaven.
“Hey” you say with a slight chuckle as he walks into the kitchen where you were “hey” he says as you open the fridge “do you want a bottle of water?” “yes please” you chuck one to him on the other side of the kitchen. “You’re a…. support student?” he asks and you shake your head “general studies right now, thinking about going into law” you involuntarily scowl at the thought, it was what your parents wanted and you thought they were right. “Why do you look like you would rather die than do that?” he asks, pulling a deep sigh as you confess “it’s what my parents want for me” he moves close to you until he’s leaning against the counter across from you “what do you want for you?” you shrug “I dont know” he chuckles and takes a sip of water “why do I feel like you do know?” your cheeks flush and you dont feel like you could really sell a lie right now, you sigh again “i’ve always had a dream to be a hero, but I was in the general studies course in high school and now I’m undecided here. I feel like I wasted time and now I don't have a choice” you hop on the countertop behind you, kicking your legs gently “but you always have a choice. It is never too late to be a hero someone can count on. You never know if you are the one hero that someone needs! You can do anything! What is your quirk?” you get shy from his intensity and you look at your thighs “I can control people when I sing” you whisper and he closes all distance between you, tilting your chin up to meet his eyes “that is an AMAZING quirk! You are going to be an amazing hero! I can help you if you want” he says and you feel for the first time in your whole life that maybe, just maybe you could be a hero even though you’re late to the game.
“But any more questions will have to wait until the end!” you say when you see Deku’s eyes flash up to you again, a million questions floating around his eyes and he laughs with a nod. You continue with your story, recounting the extra training you had done with All Might to prepare for your hero exams, the exams you didn't have to take in high school. How an encouraging word from a friend was all you needed at times to get your ass in gear. You talk to them about your internship with America’s #4 mind hero, Brian, who’s one choice behind his name was that he thought it was funny because its just one misspelt letter from being Brain. His birth name wasn’t even Brian.
“After my internship I was offered a sidekick position with him, around this time was when All Might came back here, I had plans to come back as well but I couldn't refuse his offer. I worked with Brian for three years, during those times I grew exponentially as a hero and as an individual. you may want to rush the process of being a sidekick so you can become your own solo heroes, getting all the praise for yourselves. But this time in your career will mean so much and I really insist that you take the opportunity every day to learn everything you can from the heroes you work with. As someone who was late to the game, I have no doubt you will grow into even more amazing and brilliant heroes. More so than those we have right now, and yes I do mean All Might. You guys are the heroes of tomorrow! That is amazing! And I’m telling you right now you have a lifelong fan already” you point at yourself and mouth ‘ME’ with a smile “I am behind you all, ready to support your dreams just like my hero supported mine.” You pause for a moment “Any questions?”
Deku’s hand was up first followed by half of the class all raising their hands. You beam at the kids response “okay when i call on you please tell me your name or hero name, whichever you are comfortable with. Deku” you look over at him “I’m guessing you have about a billion questions?” he nods shyly, his cheeks flushing “that’s fine, i feel flattered honestly how about you ask the biggest one you have right now and then after you can stay behind and i’ll answer every single one. That goes for everyone who has more than we can get through in the next 15 minutes of class” they all nod and you begin taking questions.
You had all questions about being a sidekick or a pro, how hard it was rising the ranks, a blonde boy who introduced himself as Aoyama, who you thought was adorable, asked you how to not get scared, you smiled warmly at him “to quote one of my favorite american movies, “courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something is more important than your fear. The brave may not live forever, but the cautious do not live at all.”
You paused for a moment as you looked across the class, some really thinking about what you have said “I have fear, I feel it often, but I let the fear fuel my actions, let it make me brave because my biggest fear is about what would happen if I didn’t act.” you see Deku pause for a moment to truly think about your words before he scribbles away again.
You call on a pink haired student “hi i’m Mina Ashido! Hero name Pinky!” you love her energy “what’s your question Pinky?” she grins “I read in Hero Daily that you said you still find time for dating as a pro and that your boyfriend is also a pro. Do we know him?” she sits down and then adds “oh! What was that American movie?” you chuckle, your cheeks heating thinking about your boyfriend.
Before you could answer the door opens and All Might walks in “speak of the devil” you say with a grin and then turn back to Mina “the movie is the princess diaries. And you guys do know him i think quite well actually. Just another rebut of advice, if you guys want to date as pros, then you can find time for it if you really want that. It isn't for everyone and that’s okay too. But there is someone out there who will be an understanding partner and help encourage you. Don't give up any of your dreams, you can have all of them if you want them.” All might has stopped next to you as you talk, his hand resting on the small of your back as he leans up to whisper in your ear “I couldn't wait any longer. I missed you” your cheeks flush and the class starts to put 2 and 2 together, whispering to each other as you turn and kiss his cheek, Mina squealing in excitement, whispers flying around, blonde boy that hasn’t said anything this entire time was staring with mouth open, and you can feel the energy Deku is pouring out as his scribbles freeze as he stares at his idol and hero. His hero had a significant other and he didnt know.. He knew everything about All Might so how come he never knew he had a S/O and why didnt All Might Say anything?! Waves were rolling off the kid but you didn’t say anything about it yet, you just leaned closer to All Might “I missed you too” you whisper back to him but before you can say anything else the bell rings, signaling the end of class.
Deku stays frozen in his seat as the rest of the students get their things together and leave the classroom, some stopping to shake your hand and talk to you for another second before leaving. All Might’s hand never leaving your back. When the room is clear, somehow Aizawa slipping out unnoticed as well, your eyes flick to Deku, still seated frozen. “Young man what’s wrong?” All Might says and he finally snaps out of it.
“Do they know about …?” he asks and you chuckle “yes I do. He talks about you a lot by the way” you say and smile at the sweet way the boy’s face flushes and his eyes widen, smiling like you just gave him the best news. “How come you never told me you were in a relationship?” Deku asks and All Might laughs “you never asked me about my dating life” you walk down the rows of desks and sit in the one next to Deku’s “I’m happy to answer any more questions you may have” you say and the boy short circuits again when you sit next to him. He cannot believe how lucky his day was, getting a one on one interview with an amazing pro hero that is also dating his Idol and father figure, give him a minute, he’ll pull himself together.
You spend the next 30 minutes answering every question the young hero had for you and All Might answered some for you, ones that you couldn't really explain correctly. This was probably your most favorite interview, his questions were almost entirely about your hero work, they were thought out and original questions that weren’t superficial to make the public interested in you. This boy wanted to know every single thing about you as a hero, not you as a public celebrity. His eyes bright as he learns more, asking how you defeated your worst villain, asking your weakness was a fun one, you never got that before since it was fairly obvious.”hard of hearing individuals, ear plugs” you say and he laughs “i should have known that” All Might shakes his head, sometimes common sense eluded the boy, he was so intelligent and unafraid of asking questions that sometimes he lacked common sense for seemingly simple things.
“I’m sorry Midoriya but Sirenity here has to get back to work now” Deku frowns but understands, you give him your personal email in case he has any more questions and then you follow All Might out of the classroom. You chuckle once you reach All Might’s office, he locks the door behind you and then pulls you into his arms “if you wanted some one on one time with Deku’s new favorite hero you should have just asked” you joke as you wrap your arms around him. “I know you dont have work but i do soon and i needed a little time with my brilliant and amazing partner before then. Midoriya will understand plus you gave him a way to contact you.” you nod into his neck “how long until you have to go?” you ask and he looks at his watch “20 minutes” you smile and take his hand, pulling him over to the couch he has in his office and you sit down with him, laying back and pulling his head to your chest, pulling your gloves off with your teeth, carding your fingers through his hair. The entire time he had was spent laying together, as he moves to get up you realize something, they think you are only partners, only dating… “Hey Yagi? How do you think Midoriya will react when you tell him that we aren't just dating and are in fact engaged?”

i saw this post here and just wanted to dissect everything lmao
aot 139 spoilers
“Eren admits that he literally killed 80% of the world’s population, he then says he only did it so it would look like eldians stopped a threat”
eren admit to killing 80% of the population bc he did... he’s admitting to what he did, and he says that he wanted to paint them to be the heroes— but not only did he do that, he ended the curse of ymir and gained freedom for his people. it wasn’t just to paint them as heroes
“He also did it so the rest of the world couldnt murder them”
he didn’t “also” do it for that reason, it was an effect, the rumbling ended up killing so many people that they can’t wage war on the eldians like eren says, it keeps them a little safe which they needed especially since some of humanity knows that paradis is what started the rumbling. it’s a cause and effect type thing. because eren killed 80% of the population that remaining population won’t be able to retaliate and try to kill the eldians since there are so little of them
the tybur family is treated like some of martyr and apparently pulling the strings which led to the deaths of millions of innocent eldians was actually a GOOD thing
this scene was interpreted wrong, armin says “...so you want us to be like the tyburs after the great titan war? we’re supposed to protect paradis from reprisal from humanity outside the walls?” he’s asking eren if that’s what they’re gonna do, he never says it’s a good thing. then that’s when eren explains that either way so much of humanity is destroyed that they wouldn’t be able to retaliate if they wanted to
Armin THANKS him for it
armin thanks eren for doing what he did to free them. not thanking eren for for mass murder period. it’s because of eren that the curse is lifted and that they are free and that’s what armin’s thanking eren for. mass murder is inexcusable, and eren knows that. that’s why after he panics and goes “but i dont want to die!” he comes to a realization that all the people he killed didn’t want to either, that the only way to atone for his sins is by dying himself. even if he didn’t die he would’ve probably been executed, or imprisoned for the rest of the life. just like in mikasa’s ova, “eren’s death is inevitable, no matter what reality you go to eren will always die because he carries death within himself.”
in another translation of the chapter armin thanks eren for being the bad guy so that they could win. he knows what eren did was bad. he’s not excusing it, he just understands why eren had to do it and that eren had no choice if he wanted them to be free.
from the get go freedom was one of the themes of eren’s character. if eren lived the whole entire world would be ruins and eren would’ve been even sadder than now, there would be nobody and it would’ve been worse than it is now. eren killing everyone was definitely not the ending to go. the ending we have could’ve been executed differently, sure, but in my eyes since i get the gist i think isa did an amazing job portraying what he had in mind.
“Armin is more upset with Eren saying he doesnt know how he feels about Mikasa moving on than mass genocide”
once again, armin isn’t all that upset with eren because he understands that eren had a path laid out for him that he had no choice to follow. the point of eren committing mass genocide keeps getting brought up as if it’s not know that mass genocide is a terrible thing. it is and that’s why everyone was so angry about it from the get go, that’s why that one plan of blackmailing humanity with the rumbling and not actually go through with it was brought up once— because they knew how cruel it is. armin knew how cruel it is as i believe it was him who brought that up
he’s upset with eren about mikasa’s feelings in like a banter kind of way. it’s like “this whole entire time this is how you felt but you couldn’t tell her that and let her suffer???? don’t forget what you said to her, she went through hell!” kind of thing. they had already talked about the whole mass genocide thing, mikasa was the next topic of discussion
“Eren then finally shows some fucking emotion and cries abt how he doesn’t want mikasa to be with anyone but him”
in another post i say, "okay so first i think the issue is that a lot of people fail to realize that the way eren acted all throughout season 4 isn’t eren really, that is him putting his emotions at bay so that he can complete something that he laid out for himself for his friends.eren from season 1-3 still exists, and that’s lowkey the eren that was talking the whole time in chapter 139— you can see the how he cares for his friends, you can see the desperation again, the compassion, everything in between.”
eren is still that s1-3 eren, season 4 eren just had to put his emotions aside so he could walk on the path that ymir put in front of him.
him crying over mikasa was one of his selfish desires coming to light, and it was realistic. it’s finally dawning on him that he’s gonna die, he’s finally getting to sit down and ponder about mikasa, he’s getting desperate, he’s panicking, and that compassion that he’s always had for his friends is showing through again. this gives realism to his character— it makes his character all the more human. one second he’s complaining about how he doesn’t want to die and wants to be with his friends bc its crashing on him, and the very next second he’s trying to be at peace with himself, realising that the only way to atone for what he caused is by dying. one second he’s complaining about how he wants miksa to be with anyone but him, the next second he’s coming to terms with himself and that mikasa needs to move on, because he loves her and wants her to live a long and happy life even if it means without him. the selfishness that showed for that mere second makes his character realistic. it shows that he’s still whiny, that little whiny angry boy from s1-3. he was never heartless and he was never cold. he was and is still eren jaeger, and you get a glimpse of the eren we know in that scene.
The founder ymir was apparently in love with the king???? another women stupidly devoted to a man, great.
i’m not too in depth with ymirs story so im not gonna speak too much about this because i myself do wish that whole love thingy went more into depth. i get how mikasa and ymir parallel each other, but other than that i’m not too sure myself, and i’ll admit that. it could be a case of stockholm syndrome, it could be that bc ymir was infatuated with living and she was confined to such a familial role she wanted to live in that role again with the king bc he’s the only person who gave her that familial lifestyle. i’m not sure. but if anything mikasa was im pretty sure the only character “devoted” to a man in aot. and it was because of the role eren played in her life, she’s not a bad written character, she has her developement. which i explain here
apparently mikasa’s unhealthy devotion to eren is what took her out of it????? in fact the series overly romanticizes mikasa’s love for eren despite the two having no chemistry and eren being an ass to her
in a sense, but that’s a simple minded way of saying it. ymir’s devotion to king fritz was unhealthy, eren describes it as “agony of love” because it was pretty unhealthy obvi. like i said ymir and mikasa parallel each other, and seeing mikasa be able to let go and kill the one she loves was that realization for ymir that she was able to do the same thing— that’s how i interpret that scene personally.
and in mikasa doing so, killing eren lifts that curse of ymir and frees ymir regardless, so ymir was happy about that as well. thanks to mikasa for cutting eren’s head off.
the series doesn’t necessarily over romanticize mikasa’s love for eren in my opinion. how i see it is that since eren is a big part of mikasa’s character he was necessary for her development as well, and her development was to let eren go because of how infatuated she was with him. this being said the series points out how unhealthy the way she loved him was especially in s1-3, and her love becomes more healthy when she gets her development in chap 139, finally being able to let eren go and move on. compare that to in the s1 when eren almost dies and she’s ready to die as well. thats development if you ask me.
one of the themes of the show is sacrifice, and almost every character has made one, mikasa sacrifices eren— she kills him and she chooses to go through with that decision despite how much she loves him.
eren was definitely mean to mikasa in s1-3 because she was overbearing, and thats one reason why i say the way she loved him was unhealthy at first. eren wasn’t able to reciprocate her love in the way that she loved him because it wasn’t healthy. eren also wasn’t able to reciprocate it because the last thing he was focused on was the concept of love. once again he had a path laid out for him that he had no choice but to follow, and mikasa didn’t have any play in this path until the very end, so the boy who keeps moving forward does just that and doesn’t pay her much mind, doesn’t get to sit down and think about his feelings for her, what she is to him.
(and i dont think i even need to explain the “mikasa i’ve always hated you seen, the chapter covers that enough)
they do have chemistry time to time, the eren v dina fritz scene, the scarf scene, “what am i to you”, little stuff like that goes into play and gives them these little sparks of chemistry. they couldn’t always grasp onto the full scope of the relationship they had and it was only some times they were able to do that with everything going on.
apparently the titans are just gone now….??? i cant even tell if its because Eren died or because Mikasa really made Ymir calm down
... eren controlling rumbling, eren dies rumbling stops, ymir finally lifts curse bc 1) eren died 2) shes able to come to realization that like mikasa lets eren go, she needs to let fritz go and the curse go. ymir lifts curse, eren’s goal is complete, if titan curse is lifted there are no more titans
Characters who murdered thousands and were the cause for AOT’s entire plot in the first place are now treated as heroes to the eldians… despite the shit that they did.
everyone in aot did some “shit” they all are murders, eren commited mass genocide, reiner commited mass murder, annie murdered so many people, reiner, armin destroyed thousands of people in one go, they all have killed somebody. they are seen as “heros” because they stopped the rumbling that was going to kill everyone else...... idk about you but if you just saved me from a horrid death, my racist opinion on you doesn’t really matter because you just saved my fucking life lmao, yes despite the shit that you did— because they have killed people too, and they were ready to kill the eldians still until armin told them that they killed eren, that they saved their lives and eliminated titans for good.... like whew???
the series went from “The military is cool” to “the military did a lot of fucked up shit” to “the military is SUPER cool”, and buffed it up
i’m not really sure where you got that tbh,, like the military wasn’t really a big thing up until the whole marleyan thing??? and they didn’t have much plot in the story besides it existing so like i’m not sure what to say ab this, i can’t really remember many times the military was even mentioned until now, but if anyone wants to elaborate on this for me that’d be nice
oh and they buffed up the military because since paradis had eren jaeger who started the rumbling, just in case, they had to be ready to fight again if the rest of humanity wanted to do something. after marley they updated all their technology, why can’t they update the military as well? it’s realistic, new weapons, new military, and all that
The military was buffed up bc the eldians are scared of the rest of the world retaliating, so Eren didn’t really fix shit except giving the Eldians an upper hand in the war
eren jaeger was the one who always screamed “i will kill all titans, we will get freedom” ya de ya de ya.... didn’t he do both of those things????? i thought those were some of his main goals as a character, he fixed those issues, the issues that have been issues since the start of the show
the rest of humanity don’t know the full scope like the eldians or marleyans, they’re probably just as scared and like in real life not all nations are at peace with one another. this is just another realistic factor— attack on titan is becoming a world closest to the real one we live in, there are militaries, there are still conflicts, there is still all these little aspects that bring the manga even more to life.
in my opinion it’d lowkey be weird if the rest of the world was just like “oh yeah those mfs that started the rumbling we love them haha” no... it killed 80% of the population like eren said... that’s not something to love.
Historia has a really disturbing speech about how the fight isnt going to end until either the Eldians or the rest of the world are exterminated, despite Gabi has an entire arc about her being deradicalized and learning to see the other side of things.
and yes i am not kidding, the heroic conclusion is that there’s still going to be a war, eldians are going to commit mass genocide (which was proposed by eren) and people straight up thank eren for the evil shit he did.
“this fight will not end until either eldia or the world dissapears. this is what eren said and he may be right.” she doesn’t say that it’s for sure gonna be a fight until one or the other is wiped out, she says there’s a possibility of this being the case because of the fact that these nations aren’t at complete peace yet.
not everyone is gonna be able to see the other side of things, and this applies to the whole word— us as humans will never be able to agree on one thing, and that’s what this shows. no matter what the cycle of hatred will always continue, and this applies to real life and this manga. we are human beings and that’s what makes what historia says even more real. “this is the world we live in, a world without titans.” titans are no longer their conflict. now it’s only like the real word— humans against humans, and as far as humanity existed it’s always been humans against humans. historia’s speech shows that.
the heroic conclusion is that as a human race nothing will always be agreed upon, eldians are going to fight if they need to like our military fights when they need to. people are thanking eren for freeing them and ending the curse of titans that they suffered with for 2000 years. nobody’s thanking him for his actions of mass genocide, they are thanking him for the motive behind his actions, and thats what makes him so heroic.
that he endured and did something so terrible so that anybody who lives after him can be free, and humanity can continue existing as humanity should’ve existed from the beginning.
and that concludes this for me, thanks for reading<3.

reasons Mako is really really great and should be appreciated so much for how he raised Bolin coming from just watching Republic City Hustle:
He made robbing people fun. It was a necessity, and clearly a dangerous way to live but their only choice, so he not only clearly picks a target that isn’t a threat but turns it into a game where Bolin can play the Good Guy and fool around, be a hero, and have fun.
In that same vein, with almost every chance he gets he compliments Bolin (“nice grab little brother” etc. a trait he continues until adulthood with people he cares about, it’s stilted and awkward later but clearly Mako’s trying) this is probably why Bolin’s confidence is basically through the roof.
Bolin recognized Toza and calls him his “hero” indicating he has been to pro-bending matches before, later we see them both working at the match while Mako has to remind Bolin he is working too. Mako also doesnt recognize Toza on sight. I think it’s safe to imply Bolin working with Mako is new (some evidence for that later as well) and Mako would normally work while letting Bolin have a fun night watching the matches.
Bolin is sad to see his hero lose, Mako tries to reiterate a lesson that basically boils down to “they wouldnt help us, why should we care?” It’s a lesson that rings true for Mako, the caretaker, but doesn’t for Bolin because Bolin always had Mako and knows what it’s like to be cared for.
When Shady Shin threatens to send them back to the streets Mako’s first instinct is to give Bolin a reassuring pat on the back and tell him not to worry.
While Bolin is doing his antics we always see Mako just behind him, watching and keeping an eye out. The only time he isn’t is when it is implied Mako was doing some work on his own (after Bolin got mad) and Bolin snuck away, after which Mako immediately finds Bolin the moment he’s in danger to save him.
Bolin wants an adorable pet, Mako immediately tells him “No. The last thing we need is one more mouth to feed.” Again, Mako as the parent having to juggle being the good guy and the bad guy, taking all the responsibility of caring for them on his own shoulders. And he has a point. Mako is clearly struggling just to keep Bolin and himself fed (“We didn’t eat anything yesterday.”) and the last thing they need is a pet.
Bolin begs Mako (typical kid stuff wanting a pet “aw he’s so cute!” “Ple-ease??”) and is suprised it doesn’t work and sad when Mako tells him to toughen up. Bolin begging is interesting because it tells us it often probably works, Mako giving Bolin what he asks for; and in this instance Bolin is very much acting like any normal child while once again Mako is the (reasonable) parent.
From what I inferred earlier where Bolin helping with the work being new, Mako has just started to get Bolin into this criminal world with the Triple Threats and is clearly worried Bolin is too soft for it, while at the same time interestingly never brings up how Bolin is five years older than Mako was when Mako started taking care of them. I think one of the arcs of this series was Mako realizing Bolin, because of who he was and how sheltered he’d been, couldn’t survive in the same environment Mako was. Mako has earned the respect of Shady Shin, meanwhile Bolin can’t even handle this one job. (Mako, a pragmatist, realizes by the end that if Bolin stayed in this work he’d have to become more like Mako, and so Mako takes the out Toza offers.)
Bolin. Is. An. Optimist. Bolin grew up living on the streets, hungry and poor, and he’s an optimist. Why? Just jump back to the scene with Shady Shin where the moment things seems scary Mako immediately reassures Bolin. Mako is hypersensitive to Bolin’s emotions, even when chastizing him he falls back to a kind voice and explains why, so it’s no small leap to say Bolin always thinks things are going to turn out okay because that’s what Mako has told him his whole life.
“Maybe I’m not as mean as you! Maybe I just can’t turn my back on people when they’re down!” Bolin calls Mako mean and uncaring, and Mako.... sighs. He doesn’t respond, just takes it in, lets Bolin have his emotions and even say cruel things to him and just internalizes it and leaves it alone.
Mako weirdly knows exactly how to handle a dangerous snake. I don’t know what this means. Either he has experience or it’s pure Mom Instinct where he sees Bolin in trouble and just wrangles a dangerous snake and flings it back into its cage in seconds.
Mako relents on the Pabu business right after Bolin puts himself in danger to save the animal and Bolin gives him puppy dog eyes (also after Bolin called him mean). Maybe he thinks having a pet can teach Bolin responsibility, or maybe he doesn’t want Bolin to think he’s mean, either way, Mako knows it’s not a great idea to have a pet but still gives up, apparently not able to say no to Bolin twice.
Bolin never apologizes or is asked to apologize for calling Mako mean and uncaring. In fact, considering the sequence of events, Mako is the one who apologizes by letting Bolin keep Pabu even though by all accounts Mako was right not to want a pet. When Mako does admonish Bolin it’s only in ways Bolin needs to act in order to survive, otherwise Mako seems unwilling to defend himself or make Bolin change in any way. (Mako models this type of forgiveness despite being the wronged party which interestingly, Bolin shows later throughout LoK and it is something people love about him, but the origins are here, coming from Mako.)
“You really have a habit of getting in stupid situations” Mako tells Bolin, indicating this type of behavior, Bolin getting in trouble and Mako coming to save him, happens a lot. (Even in the end, Mako finds out Bolin bet all their money on a fixed match, like c’mon Bolin.) Bolin just says “I know” and Mako leaves the conversation at that without rubbing it in. A surprising amount of maturity for a fifteen year old.
Bolin can’t keep his mouth shut and gets them in trouble, shouting and excited during the match; as Mako looks embarrassed and worried, another indication that this, Bolin being present with the Triads, is a recent development and a clear indicator Mako was right telling Bolin to toughen up or he wouldn’t survive, as they instantly find themselves running and fighting for their lives.
“Can we, Mako? Mako, can we? Mako, please!” Mako is so explicitly the parent to Bolin it’s sad. He is fifteen, he’s been on his own with Bolin since he was eight and literally witnessed his parents die, and throughout the series we see him comforting Bolin, suppressing his own emotions, and being a parent over and over again. Meanwhile Bolin acts like a child, who had a normalish childhood, who plays games and laughs and is optimistic and confident and wants a pet, so despite everything they went through, and how hard it was, Mako was clearly a very good parent to Bolin.
Shady Shin miscalculates in the end by telling Mako “don’t go soft on me”, the same thing Mako was telling Bolin; which goes all the way back to my earlier point that Mako knows Bolin won’t last as a Triad and needs something else. “I do have to take care of my brother, and I think this is what’s best for him.” There, explicitly, the only reason they become pro-benders is because Mako thinks it’s right for Bolin, ‘what is right for Bolin’ is the basis of all his choices, what is right for Mako isn’t considered because what Mako wants is for Bolin to be happy.
In conclusion, if you hate Mako and love Bolin, I think you need to take a step back and remember who raised Bolin.

do you have ocs? i'd love to hear about them!!
i have so many ocs i cant hold them all
currently the ones i am fixated on (because the pandemic made me regress) are literally revamped versions of my ocs when i was like, 9, based on toys i had... but that's information you gotta beg me for
The more Relatable ocs I have include the ones from video games with character creation. Some of them have tags on my blog. I will focus on the big ones and leave the others in the dust. just like my sketchbook.
Dragon Age: (if youve never played da i apologize)
my hero of ferelden Opal Tabris who i have had since early high school and if you couldn't tell from my url, she loves zevran. seems cold on the outside but is super caring and kind on the inside
Tumblr media
my blue hawke Jade Hawke she loves fenris... i dont have any da2 gifs of her bc i dont have in on pc
Tumblr media
and then I have multiple inquisitors i actually care about my most fleshed out is Bade Lavellan who was originally created for Dorian back in 2014 but has then evolved into being in love with my friend's da oc, Mahonan, an angry and traumatized dalish elf. I like their dynamic better because in summary, Bade is kind to everyone and puts others before himself even though the world is constantly dragging him through the dirt. They balance each other out. He also doesnt think hes fit to be a leader but tries because he thinks he has to. I also REALLY care about his best friendship with Sera they both help each other be better people
Tumblr media
Next up is Athera Lavellan, aka necromancer barbie. She's a Dalish mage who cares about her people before all else and feels like she's betraying her clan by being inquisitor, but she knows she can do good in the inquisition. She LOVES Blackwall they are very codependent on each other and like grossly in love
Tumblr media
I also have Amber Trevelyan which i usually dont like playing humans if I have another choice but I decided to make a backstory for her to make her more interesting. Her noble family disowned her when her magic was discovered so she found family in the circle (but shes not necessarily pro-circle. she hates templars and her eye scar is from a templar). Vivienne is her new mom and she's in love with Sera
Tumblr media
Mass Effect:  I only have one and it’s Evangeline Shepard she’s a paragon because i cant be mean she loves Thane and hates Earth because of her Tragic Backstory
Tumblr media
Stardew Valley:
This is Jude i love him he’s nice and gay and could probably be a lumberjack if he put on plaid. he likes nerdy junk and is stoked when he learns magic is real. he quickly becomes close with sebastian and wants to experience the magic with him :’’’)     (im not very good at art but the only other picture i have is his little in-game pixels)
Tumblr media
I also have another farmer named Lorna. I dont have a good picture of her but she’s a goofball and has a big ol’ crush on Penny
Fallout:
I like your courier so I’ll put mine here too! Her name is Rapunzel. Why? I don’t know. That’s just what I put in the character creator all those years ago. Maybe after getting shot in the head since she had memory loss she forgot her name but remembered liking the fairy tale? your guess is as good as mine. Bisexual disaster. Would be dead if it wasn’t for boone&arcade and her high speech skill.  She acts bubbly and sarcastic which she is but its partly bc shes using it to hide the fact that she doesnt think of herself as anything more than a “deadbeat mailman” and thinks she has no place having such influence over new vegas and the mojave. She has a big school girl crush on Boone which may or may not be unrequited but she’s like his best friend and instead she sees herself as clingy and annoying and an inconvenience.
I do not have a good picture of her I apologize but shes basically just like blonde with green eyes

My love for Bane!!
Before you read, I want to make it clear that there are some nsfw parts to this posts. If you are under 18, please don't read!
This post will go over various details and reasons why my heart belongs to the big green giant know as Bane from Batman and Robin (1997). Get ready for a long read, because I've got a lot to say.
(If you haven't check out my Bane Wallpapers, go do check them out! They bring me so much joy, I hope they do the same for you ppl too!)
Tumblr media
His mask is very cool and unique, because if you look closer you see they used Bane's comic book mask as a base and then just changed the mouth area and added black eye pieces on top of the red piece he normally sees out of. Imo, it is the best movie Bane mask we have ever had! A lot of people hate the multiple tubes coming out of his head, but I think it makes things extra spicy! A constant reminder that your not just dealing with any normal super human, you dealing with a venom infused one that can fight you like it's nothing! The bulging veins that can be seen in certain lighting is a detail I feel deserves more love. It adds to his big and tough demeanor. You can really tell the venom is working wonders on him! The zipper on the top of the head and the fact that his mask is most likely made of tight leather or latex brings thr entire thing together and is truly a marvel to look at! I absolute love it!💚Imagining him slick that smooth, stretchy, husky mask on while the venom starts to pump into his brain and muscles just does things to me. If Bane offered me a chance to wear it, venom or not, I would do it in a heart beat! It would probably reek of sweat, his bad breath, and of old leather, but I wouldn't care. Just the thought of inhale all those smells brings me a joy I can't describe! 😍
Tumblr media
When I was a kid, in addition to his lovely mask, his clothing choice was another thing I loved about him. It looks like Bane is just wearing a black cotton tank top with some black sturdy pants, but I've always the headcannon that it's actually very flexible black latex one piece! It makes a lot more sense when you notice his collar, chest harness, wrist bands, crotch diaper, and boots are also make out of a harder leather with spikes and studs! I swear, half of my clothing choices/dreams come from this man! His boots, for the most part, are very frankenstein/gothic inspired with thick sole and it going all the way to his knees. The copper rivets are the only things that make them stand out, imo. I've had thoughts were in order to prove my love to him I have to lick or kiss his boots while he judges. I'd hate it for the most part, because they probably taste like dirty and dust, but I want him to know that I do love him, so I'd do small smooches starting from his toes and work my way up his leg until I'm straight up licking his boots. I'd get so carried away he'd probably make me stop pretty quickly so I don't get sick 😂. His spiked collar and wrist bands are easily the clothing items I want the most! Any time I see someone on the street with spikes in their clothing I immediately think about him. Because he's worn them for so long, they're probably not that tight or rough but still firm enough to not sag. Maybe even a little flaky in certain parts. I don't think I'm comfortable with myself enough to wear a collar in public but I've come so close to buying spiky wrist bands or gauntlets it's crazy I don't actually own a pair yet. One day, I'm sure. His crotch diaper, for lack of a better name for it, is the one thing I'm 50/50 on. Some days I think it really adds to his look, especially with the spikes that go out. Plus, to a certain extent, it makes practical sense because that way heroes cant go from behind his and try to restrain him, or can't throw too many kicks, without getting poked/cut by the spikes. But other days I think it just doesnt look that great, because it ultimatly looks like a big metal diaper, it takes away from his intimidation. Plus, I won't be able to give him proper hugs! (I want to give daddy all the hugs he deserves! 💚) His chest piece is what brings everything together. The little Bane symbol is so cute, I've always looked for a pin or something to buy but no luck. I actually used to have this Bane cape that I won at Six Flags when I was little. I cut the symbol of his face out of it and tried multiple times to attach it to my jean jackets but I suck at sowing. 🥲 The leather straps that hold the chest piece compliment the other leather pieces of his outfit. The metal looking chest piece looks wonderful and adds a layer to his character that I both love and hate. In this movie he's a drone, a mindless agent that is only allowed to follow orders. I'll will discuss this in a bit. But for the record, I hate the fact that Bane is written as big dumb idiot in this movie. It's the one big problem I have with him, which sucks because I literally love everything else about him!
Tumblr media
I've probably watch the Bane transformation scene in Batman and Robin, like, a thousand times. No joke. I didn't realize it then, but seeing a short, thin, twink become a tall, hulking, king really hit my desires in the right way. Like, now, I know for sure that's one of my kinks and it makes me so damn happy! Granted, I've never been skinny in my life, but I've always wanted to be a musclar and strong man, so it makes sense why I love this scene so much. It's a literally fantasy of mine brought to life! More specifically, I've always wanted to be a type of strong that allows me to run miles like it's nothing, throw punches that instantly knock someone out, and lift so much weight that I borderline have a superhero body. Don't get me wrong, this is seriously mentally unhealthy because I know it's kind of impossible considering my personality and the actuality of gaining so much muscle, but I believe as long as I realize it's a dream and not beat myself up over it, it's not too bad of a thought to have. Actually, if you think about it, this Bane is kind of a plus size body representation. Sure he's got giant arms that can crush my bones like tooth pics, but he's pretty bulky with a big belly. That might be too much of a stretch to say, and I totally understand if people don't agree with. That being said, I have to say it, this man probably gives the best hugs in all of Gotham! He's so big that you don't even need a jacket in the house! Just let him embrace you and you'll never feel alone or cold again! His thick hands holding you in really tight, his muscles locking you in and warming your arms, while his gut pushes you back a little of your feet, like he wants to swoop you into his arms and carry you! 🥰 He'd be careful with his spikes of course, don't worry. A detail that sends me over the moon about Bane in this movie is his green skin. I can't put my finger on it, but it really adds to the whole transformation and therefore my thirst for him grows even bigger! Especially because it's completely unique to the movie. It looks so good that I wonder why the comics haven't adopted something similar.
Tumblr media
I could go for hours about how I think the writers butchered Bane's character in this movie, but I want this post to mainly act as a positive appreciation post/background for head cannons that I might post about him one day. So to end, and give a taste, I'll finally talk about Bane being a drone in this movie. In weird way, because he's played as a mindless servent, it makes this version of Bane one of the easier Bane's for me to fantasies about. This is because in the movie, it's implied Bane only follows Poison Ivy because she was the first person he didn't see as a threat. Plus, I wouldn't be surprised if she used some of her suductive powers on him. (I would too, just saying) So, with that established, I like that he's a mindless drone because it means that, in my head, he's not exactly my "servant" but he will basically do whatever I say. Why? Because I will prove to him I not a threat either, and only want to love him!! He'll have a concuious and his own goals, and I'll follow along and help because I trust him and want to support him, but, for the most part, he will do what I say and love me in return. I could explain this more, but I want to save the juicy parts for the follow up post I have planned for this. 😏
If you've read this far, thank you. From the bottom of my hear. I've never wrote something this personal or long. I hope I can continue to do more of these, if I'm passionate enough.

If you use the word "abused" to describe Snape's behavior, then it's only fair to use the harshest vocabulary for Remus Lupin's behavior too. We don't get the last words of a bystander bully who grew into a coward adult who walked out on his wife and unborn baby. No one cares he gave some kids chocolate since he let a believed mass-murderer run around the school. #soloving
*sits up* *cracks knuckles* ok let’s do this
No, Lupin isnt perfect, obviously no one is. Abandoning his family in the deathly hallows made me realize that, and I lost a lot of respect for him then. But is he a coward?
After Harry yelled at him for abandoning tonks and teddy, something he shouldn’t have to had done as a 17 year old, he came back to them.
And the thing is, he wasn’t a deadbeat afraid of failing as a father or something like that, he was afraid his being a werewolf would bring serious harm to his wife and baby, and they might be hunted down for it. He genuinely—and wrongly—believed they would be better off without him.
Coming back DOESNT erases the fact that you left at all, and let’s admit that was a fault. But is lupin. A coward.????
I think not. He fought in the battle of hogwarts and was a hero that died that night. (Along with tonks Rest In Peace u two) he died on the battle field fighting for his family, friends, freedom and rights. He was never afraid for himself, but for his friends.(Unlike Snape who died in The Whomping Willow with his last wish to see Harry’s eyes because even though he treated Harry like scum because he looked like his father who he hated, he was obsessed with Lily Evans and that makes up for it.)
And before that, Lupin went underground working with werewolf connections including ones who must have worked with Fenir Greyback, the monster who turned him as a child. Because Dumbledore told him to. He was hurt, worn, and tired, but he didn’t complain. He wanted to do good in the world.
So if Lupin isn’t a coward, you must think, why did he never tell anyone vital information about Sirius Black being able to turn into a dog while everyone believed he was a mass murderer?
I think we both know considering he resigned himself and everything he did for the Order, it wasn’t so he could keep his job. It was because he loved Sirius, his closest friend. James and Peter (to his knowledge) were both dead, and Sirius, traitor and all, was all he had left. He didn’t want Sirius to get his soul destroyed by a Dementor’s kiss. He thought, oh, turning into a dog isn’t that much of a threat, I’m protecting Harry anyway…
And yes it was so shitty of him to do, to basically choose the safety of his dead best friend’s innocent 13 year old son over the safety of…well, a murderer. The guy responsible for his dead best friend’s death. And that’s why Lupin resigned.
He felt like the worst kind of monster because of that, and I won’t call him one, but it was a horrible thing that happened because of his choice.
(If this was a hate essay on Snape, I would point out that Snape, a death eater who had worked with Peter Pettigrew, knew Peter was the traitor and not Sirius and yet he never told dumbledore this information...and let Sirius go to Azkaban…because of a school grudge... But this is not a hate essay on snape so let’s get back to lupin)
Do you think Lupin is a bad person? I’m genuinely curious, and i would love to know your opinion on snape too.
Look—there IS NO ADULT IN HARRY POTTER THAT HAS NOT COMPLETELY LET US DOWN AT SOME POINT. name any adult, any, and I will explain how horribly they failed the kids.
But flawed doesn’t equal bad person.
Hagrid, McGonagall, Sirius—they were some of the best hp adults, flaws considered.
How many flaws does it take to become a bad person? I don’t know. But I do know snape has so many more flaws than virtues.
I dont think being a death eater necessarily means being a bad person, becuase many people who “fought with Voldemort” were there becuase their fate had already been decided. They had to stick with their families. Look at Draco Malfoy. In the chapter malfoy manor, you can really see how dark and terrifying living with the death eaters are. So much pressure to give everything you can to being a bigot and serving Voldemort. If draco didn’t, his parents and him would be killed by Voldemort, already on the end of his tether. (And yet he still helped Harry but that’s another essay)
Being a good person means how you treat people, and how you fix your mistakes when you fk up. And look how snape treated people.
Admittedly when I was comparing lupin and snape in the original post, I wasn’t talking about the deeper parts of if they were good people or not, though I know it’s not white and black.
I was comparing their professor ways. How they treated children, from a 13 year old’s perspective. I was thinking, hey, I’m as old as Harry was in the prisoner of Azkaban, and if I had to face snape on a regular basis, I would break down.
But yes, they are so much more deeper than who they were as professors. And giving out chocolate doesn’t make you a good person x
But I really do think flaws included, despite his flaws Lupin was a good person. And yes, I should have pointed out his flaws in the op post, so I’m pointing them out now. He is one of my favorite characters, so I hope you understand. I admit he isn’t perfect though, he’s flawed and messed up, but still to me, a good man on more or less.
oh ps— I’m not an anti. When I used to love Snape I was attacked by many people in a comment section for “defending snape” and now I am called an anti. There will always be criticism so let me make something clear.
No, I don’t like snape. But I’m not blocking others from liking him.
I will never let the fact that I don’t like snape make me drag you if you love him. I respect that. I hope you can respect me too!
Anyway thanks for sending this I never get asks, and hope you have a good day!! ♥️ 😆

You know, it may sound harsh - but all might was the most selfish in passing on ofa. And I don't mena that in a bad way and don't think All Might had any ill intent - however, all ofa holder prior to him passed it one cause to fight afo - all might taught afo was death. He passed it one to have somebody take over the role as symbol of peace which right now backfired in the hero society. Again, no shame on him I think he actully might feel a bit guilty about this nowdays. It was the best choice, jsut not for the best reasons.
hmm... i think i have to disagree? i dont think all might was really all that selfish, for passing on ofa. while you’re right in saying that ofa was a quirk made to take down afo, and all might thought he had done that years prior, defeating afo is not its only purpose. with this power, all might was able to save many, many people. all might was able to stand in when many heroes could not, and take on that mantle despite how damaging to his own health it was - and even if it in part lead to where society is now, this power under all might has done so much good for their society.
deku himself even tells the ofa vestiges - ofa is no longer just a power for taking out afo. its not a power for killing. its a power for saving others. and all might would know this, and would want to give another person that chance to save as many as their heroic heart could manage.
think about it kinda like this... would deku be selfish for accepting the quirk, or for wanting one to begin with?
perhaps all might did not take into consideration how society could not deal with a singular symbol - but thats not something you can entirely blame on him. a big part lies with not only other heroes who become incompetent, but with society itself, because society was unable to see heroes as people, viewing them too high to make mistakes or to be questioned up until current events.
and im certain all might feels guilty, especially now, and he likely does feel incompetent - all his mistakes are coming back to haunt him, and now responsibility has been thrust upon the shoulders of a child who just wanted to save people and live his dream. its incredibly harsh and unfair, because deku doesnt get to be a kid anymore, and all might may feel as if he’s now stripped that away, even if he was not the only contributing factor. thats his successor, and he feels powerless in this situation.
but truly, all might thought all for one was dead, and whilst he should've made deku aware of the history between the quirks, he himself wasn't aware what would lie in wait - you cant entirely blame him for that, when he was certain he had snubbed out afo for good.

i know im predictable, but i really reaaaaally want izuku in a skirt and katsuki having an aneurism everytime izuku flashes his (killer) bare legs that had sent more than one person to the hospital because they're dangerous in so many ways lol.
it started with an usually cold snap in the fall of their third year and all the girls were complaining about wearing skirts in such a cold ass weather. they wanted to wear pants instead but school officials were being asshats and refused to budge against the 'dress code'. which THEY SHOULD HAVE KNOWN rile up the female student body because now all the more they want to wear pants whenever they want because of society enforced gender role while boys get to be safe and comfortable in pants while girls have to wear skirt just because it more socially acceptable even in the bitter cold of winter.
majority of the girls at U.A. start wearing pants under their skirt and some even just wear pants with their uniform as a protest which get them in all sort of trouble with the school because even if this is a hero school that teach kids to fight and survive its still stuck in old tradition. izuku get dragged into this because he's a sucker for a good cause and seeing his close friends (mina and ochako spearheading this protest) he wants to get involved in any kind of way to help them and show solidarity especially when it's only the girls getting into trouble for it because while it started with girls just wanting to wear pants but now it become I WANT TO WEAR SKIRT OR PANTS HOWEVER I CHOSE BECAUSE THIS IS MY SELF DETERMINATION, gimme a choice instead of having that choice taken from me.
so it becomes a thing, kinda of a movement to assert their freedom of expression – to dye their hair, wear earrings, etc. to be free from the archaic entrapment of societal expectations of who they should be and what they should wear. it's especially important in this generation where quirks dominate because look AT THIS DAY AND AGE WHERE not everyone look even remotely human anymore and that's taken for granted now so why should they be conforming to gender norms. so izuku got caught up in it and decided to fuck it and wear a skirt as supportive of the girls' protest.
the first day he wears a skirt, it turns plenty of head. more than the girls in pants, it is izuku that get all the attention because girls in pants, power suit, masculine attires is consider a power move but man wearing skirt or dress is consider soft, delicate, and most of all weak. the sexist standard that dressing masculine make you stronger, powerful while feminine attire makes you weak and frail which is all bullshit when izuku knows many of the girls in his class whether they dress overly in pink lace or not that doesnt stop them from kicking people ass in training.
it's the thing that izuku doesn't notice until he wear a skirt bc suddenly everyone is looking at him strangely especially the boys while the girls make noise of compliments and encouragement with his choices. katsuki wouldn't look at him at ALL but when he does, he looks like he's SUFFERING LOL.
"do i look that bad?" izuku asks worriedly, hands twisting around a handful of his skirt.
mina grins. "No, it's because you looks so good that it's terrifying the boys," she says, giving him a thumb up. "Especially katsuki. now that's real fear in his eyes."
izuku scrunches up his face in confusion "w-what does that mean?"
Mina wags her brows and gestures behind him. izuku looks back and is quick enough to sees katsuki staring intently at his rather bare thighs with knee high socks as a series of conflicting emotions run across it. a cocktail of confusion, annoyance, anger, and something else runs a gauntlet all over his face. izuku bites down on his lips and parts his thigh just a little more and katsuki seemingly chokes on air as he jerks up, their eyes meet for a brief heated second.
the air is still, the world pauses, everything falls silence around them, and as though they're the only two in the world—katsuki looks to be in pained, face twisted in a rare show of raw unfiltered emotion before cutting away quickly, cheeks stained red in conciliatory defeat.
izuku turns back to mina who grins on proudly at his flushed expression. he tugs at his skirt, feeling high and powerful as though he'd slay some beast. "this is a dangerous weapon," he mumbles.
Mina cackles. "to hormonal teens boy, yes."
