I have to talk about “Gods country” these lyrics have been stuck in the back of my mind for days now. “It was a highway to nowhere, and we rode it. Cold car with no gas and we chose it. Soft bodies playing in the street. Our kids will grow up with half as much, trying to build something out of dust.” This reminds me of small town rural America where young people get addicted to drugs and settle down with less than ideal partners. Their kids are raised in a twisted environment, and are set up to make the same failures as their parents. It saddens me to see the generational curses continue in these small towns. It makes me wonder about ways we could change and get those children out of their environments, and into one they can prosper in.

Sun in Virgo ♍️🌎 Moon in Aquarius ♒️💨 and Pisces ♓️🌊

The best thing that we can all do today, is be gentle. With ourselves and with one another. This Super Moon is packing a punch. You may feel extra sensitive, cathartic and really emotional.

The Moon will be in Aquarius most of the day and is conjunct Saturn in Pisces which too is in retrograde. We’re all thinking about the past in one way or another. Either longing for the way things were or reflecting on past mistakes.

The moon enters Pisces this evening where it will reach its peak of opposition with the Sun in Virgo and will be the second full moon this month. A rare occurrence making it a blue moon, hence the phrase, “Once in a blue moon.” It will also be the closest it can get to earth, making it a super moon. The moon represents our emotions and in dreamy, sensitive and empathetic Pisces will have us needing some tissues. Neptune which is its planetary ruler is also in Pisces adding another layer of sensitivity but also illusion and deception.

What we have here is Father Time (Saturn) which is reality checks, boundaries, rejection and practicality, clashing or not mixing so well with dreams, longing and delusion. But what this energy is asking of us is to let go of what isn’t real so we can move forward. It’s asking you to find the silver lining in your situation, see why it didn’t work out that way and be your own hero. Focus less on others and find the strength within yourself. Anything else will do more harm than good. It’s acting as a liberating release point. Turn this energy into a positive and let something go. ☮️💚✨

Originally I was trying to create “texture” for my photoshoot with my may-art paper dress, but then this happened!  

The colors are rainbow colors because those are the colors I have in my closet. I am super grateful to connect to the LGBTQ+ community not only with my own queer past/soul present, especially these political days when repression and fear seems to be growing, in this Seeking journey that every human is on … whether they know it or not. All-lines-are-beautiful is so much about expression, finding yourself, and being whole and so to me this artwork taps into my own sense of wholeness.

As I was working with these colors and shapes, I also thought about how interconnected we are. It took a LOT of hours making this piece, but if I could make another one, I would mix up the colors so that there are no sections of color. But for this sculpture, I love how they (we) are all touching each other, because that’s what our Souls do. If we don’t shut our souls down.

The biggest threat to our planet is the belief someone else will save it. Now is the time to take a stand and protect the earth! This is the only earth we’ve got, save, protect & love your planet.

Every day offers opportunities to help the environment. For instance, you could:

•Bring reusable containers to restaurants for leftovers 🫙🥡

•Stop the junk mail by unsubscribing from all those catalogs 📬🗞️

•Share important articles and petitions on social media 📲

• Plant a tree (or two!) in your neighbourhood 🌳🌲🌴

•Learn about endangered species and how to protect them🐢🦋🐋🐘 🐝🐅

•Get your ice cream in a cone instead of a single-use cup🍦

•Ditch the plastic bags and use a tote bag at the grocery store instead 🛍️

These are only a few examples out of hundreds of ways you can help save the planet.

Your influence doesn't stop there! Humans have a unique ability to alter our natural environment, and by making simple changes to the things you do every day, you can protect the planet now and make a real difference for the future. What's more, your commitment to sustainability may inspire others to take action as well! Who knows, when your coworkers see you using your own mug instead of Styrofoam cups, maybe they'll try out new travel mugs themselves. Want to make your neighborhood a bit greener? Start a compost pile to help your garden grow, and then share your strategy (and homegrown fruits and vegetables) with neighbors to spread the word.

Remember, little acts really do add up to big change.

Take some time each day you head out the door to start protecting Mother Earth!
