HEY IF YOU STILL TAKE REQUESTS,,
Scout driving Sniper's Van
Tumblr media
Haiiiiii yeas I still do take reqs :33 if they interest me enough anyways!!! I couldn't get this one off my mind <3 so thank you for requesting this pisslord. I never draw vehicles tho lol so it was a challenge!!! Drew this sorta quick to wind down from school work They're listening to Jane Child's Don't Wanna Fall in love song.... Headcanons/writings below... Sorrey for cringe, is posting writings cringe or is it in now? Obvi just a quick thang and unedited
...
Sniper is an extreme lightweight. It doesn't take much for him to get buzzed, one or two pale ales do him in easily. Being an honorary old man at the ripe age of 26 (or was it 27? 28? He forgets) he just falls asleep wherever he can manage. This being the case, he avoids drinking when he goes out (which is rare on its own) and sticks to doing it by himself in his camper. It wasn't until a while after he and Scout became friends that he drank in any company.
Scout had one day mentioned off-handedly that he never really learned how to drive. Growing up with a handful of brothers and in a poorer part of Boston, as the youngest of them a car wasn't going to be given to him anytime soon. It felt odd to Sniper that something so integral to his being, the ability to freely travel whenever wherever, was something that the runner had never really experienced.
"I'll teach ya." Though of course the only car he had to teach in was his precious camper that has been with him through thick and thin, he didn't have to give much thought to the offer. Scout was smarter than people gave him credit for, he couldn't mess it up too much. And a more dramatic part of him felt bad that someone as free-spirited and independent as Scout didn't have (what Sniper considered anyways) a basic necessity to freedom.
"Aw for real man? Hell Snipes you barely even let people look at the friggen' van, you sure about this?"
"yep. I'll let you take a crack at it, sure."
And so Sniper taught Scout how to drive, and he took to it fairly quickly. Though the runner doesn't have his license, he is 'Sniper Approved. The few times he's gotten pulled over, he pulls out his approval badge and they let him go (he pulls out his bat and smacks their shit up).
And this leads into Scout being Snipers designated driver. Since Sniper has someone he trusts enough to drive the van, he's safe to drink whenever they all go out. Scout is not the biggest fan of drinking himself ('what's the point of drinking sumn' nasty just to get all sick n' dizzy?'), plus being sober means he has an advantage in pool and any card games.
Whenever Sniper asks for him to drive them back he typically goes "ah fine whateva! I'll drive, AGAIN." It means more to him than he lets on that Sniper trusts him enough to have broken his unspoken never drinking out rule and let him drive his camper. Though that's not something he would ever openly admit.
The same way Sniper would never admit that half the time he doesn't drink enough to get tired. He just pretends to sleep so he can sneak looks at Scout as the scenery of the New Mexico night passes by the window.

I Didn't Ask For This (part eight)
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7
Summary: Marriage had always been something sacred to little Y/n, something dream like, where her husband would come and whisk her away to a fairyland. At least, that's what she had always thought.
All her dreams would be shattered.
But maybe she can salvage them?
•○●⛦●○•
Tw: forced marriage, azzie sulking about (lmao), none more that I can think of, so let me know if I need to add anything.
A/n: okay, guys, first things first, I'm so sorry for the delay in this part. I just couldn't get to writing it and for the past few days I have had a lot of work to do. And, the part everyone's been waiting for is here. The slap is here. 😌
Enjoy!
•○🌑○•
It had been a week since Y/n had walked away from Azriel and left him alone on that balcony. Everything had gone back to the way it was before, with him doing his best to ignore her and her doing the same. The only difference was, he cared for her now, and she could see it in anything he did.
Filling her glass of water or filling her cup of tea at meal times. Not pretending that she didn't exist. Helping her and instructing her when training with other priestesses. So that was... progress?
As she stepped through the door to the training area, her eyes immediately started searching for her husband without her permission. But he wasn't in his usual spot in the corner of the ring. No, he was in the middle of the ring, sparring with Cassian.
And he was shirtless.
It wasn't as if she had never seen someone shirtless. Having a brother and living in a camp, it was an everyday occurrence.
But seeing Azriel was different. The way his muscles flexed as he spun and attacked Cassian, the way sweat dripped down them. It gave her butterflies.
"Not hard on the eye, don't you think?" Nesta murmured, startling Y/n. "Or are you too busy drooling over him to form coherent thoughts?"
"Shut up." Y/n mumbled. That was when she noticed that there were no priestesses, including Gwyn. "Where are the others?"
"They had some ceremony today. And Emerie had important business in her camp. It's just the four of us today."
Y/n nodded, then realised that would mean that she would have all of Azriel's attention on her. Her mouth dried.
Nesta and she started with some warmup exercises while the Illyrians finished off their sparring. When they were done, Cassian sent her a cheeky grin and a wink as she walked to Azriel. Y/n shook her head, exasperated.
Azriel was waiting for her when she neared him. And when he looked up, she knew today was going to be one hell of a day.
•○🌑○•
Y/n panted, crouching for a moment. She had discarded the upper jacket that she had worn that morning on a nearby bench. She was sure if she squeezed all the sweat from her body, it would rival the water of the Sidra.
Azriel had shown her absolutely no mercy today, with all his undivided attention upon her.
"Tired already?" Azriel asked, sweat dripping down his forehead.
Y/n gaped. "What do you mean already tired? It's been hours since we started. Atleast 5 hours, if you ask me."
He raised a brow. "Actually, its barely been over an hour."
"Excuse me? You're lying."
"No I'm not."
"Hey Y/n!" Nesta called before she could answer. Y/n turned to her and Cassian. "I have some work to do in the library and Cassian has a meeting with Rhys. We're leaving. Is that okay with you? You can come with me if you want."
Y/n shook her head. "You go. I'll go and get some rest after this."
Nesta nodded, waving to her and exiting the training area with Cassian on her heels, wiggling his brows at Y/n. She tried to scowl at him, but couldn't. He was just too adorable.
Azriel was looking at her with an unreadable expression on his face. He brushed a stand of hair back from her face, his hand lingering on her cheek. She felt butterflies erupt in her stomach.
But then he went rigid, a muscle feathering in his jaw. She noticed his shadows thickening around him, hiding him from view.
And then her eyes flitted to the arch that led into the training area, where the middle Archeron sister had appeared. She smiled in that perfect manner of hers when Azriel glanced at her.
"Azriel." Her said in her lilting and melodic voice. "Its been weeks since we talked. Where have you been?"
He studied her for a minute before turning back to Y/n. "I've been busy."
A flash of hurt crossed Elain's features before she smiled again. She placed a hand on his shoulder and Y/n looked away.
"I think I'm done with training today. Have a good day." Y/n said, making a beeline for the arch, ignoring the sound of protest azriel made behind her.
She raced down the steps, heart beating wildly. But then she remembered that she had left her jacket back on the bench near where she was training. She felt weirdly naked without it.
Cursing herself, she turned back, practically flying up the stairs, praying and hoping she wouldn't find them doing something she couldn't handle.
But, as said before, her life never went as she wanted it to.
When she emerged in the training area, she found the middle Archeron sister standing in the exact same spot Y/n had been in a few moments prior. And they were kissing. Elain was all over Azriel, his hands holding her waist.
An involuntary gasp escaped Y/n, and it must have been loud as Azriel pulled back and turned to her. He paled.
"Y/n–" She ignored him, walking straight to the jacket lying near him and donning it. When she turned to leave, he tried to get her attention again, to no avail. And so he caught her wrist.
Before she knew what she was doing, she whipped around and her hand flew up. She only realised what she had done when her palm started stinging and Azriel stumbled back, landing on the bench where her jacket had been.
He stared at her with wide eyes, his mouth gaping like a fish.
She had slapped him.
It was completely unexpected. She didn't mean to slap him. She wanted to apologise, but she stopped herself.
"Don't play with my life Azriel. One moment, you look like you actually want me, the next, you turn around and kiss her. This is not a game, Shadowsinger."
"Y/n– I swear it is not what it looks like. I can explain. I–"
But Y/n couldn't stand to be in his presence anymore, so she left.
•○🌑○•
Night descended swiftly on Velaris, and Y/n found herself sitting next to Nesta while eating dinner. She hadn't told Nesta about what she'd witnessed yet. She didn't have the energy.
Azriel was nowhere to be seen. And, even though Y/n was happy about it, she couldn't help but wonder where he was.
After dinner, as she was about to step into her room, a shadow darted in front of her face, making her stop in her tracks. It looked frantic as it flew around Y/n before flying towards the general direction of where the training area was supposed to be.
Her brow furrowed. It looked like the shadow wanted her to follow. And so despite the fatigue weighing her down, she followed it.
It took her straight to the stairwell that led to the training area and up it. She slowed down when she heard voices coming from beyond the arch.
"How many times do I have to tell you I don't want anything to do with you!" That was Azriel.
"Az–" Y/n froze. That was Elain.
"No Elain. I am married. And I want to have a relationship with my wife. Why can't you understand–"
"You didn't want her–"
"Now I do! I want her."
"What does she have that I don't?"
"It's not about being better than the other. She is my wife, and I want to get to know her."
"But she doesn't like you."
"Yeah well, she might have started to like me if you hadn't kissed me this morning. We might have had a chance at ahappy life, and now you've ruined it. She will never want me again, all thanks to you. Are you happy now?"
"Then tell me you didn't want me to kiss you."
Y/n peeked around the arch to see them standing near a practice dummy. He was shirtless and gaping at her. "Me telling you to not kiss me was not enough? Me trying to step away, push you away when you kissed me was not enough? Fine. Listen closely Elain, because I will not repeat it again. I. Do. Not. Want. You. And nor did I want you to kiss me. I did not enjoy it."
Elain stared at him for a moment before turning and marching straight towards the arch. She looked furious. When she got closer, she realised Y/n was standing in the arch. Elain sneered at her, bumping her shoulder harshly on the way out.
Y/n watched her go with her mind spinning.
Azriel had been forcibly kissed by Elain. He hadn't wanted it, despite what she had believed.
A thump sounded from below, and Y/n looked down to find a first aid box her her feet. She frowned, but then that little shadow came to hover around her face before darting to Azriel.
That was when she saw that Azriel was sitting down on a bench, his head in his hands. There was a small puddle of dark liquid beneath his feet, some of it dripping down his hands.
With a jolt of horror, Y/n realised it was his blood. Drops of it led to the training dummy, and she summarised that he had been punching the dummy for so long that his hands started bleeding.
She picked the box by her feet, walking to where he sat. He looked up when she came near, his eyes widening slightly. He said nothing as she kneeled in front of him, opening the box and setting it next to her. He watched her as she took his hands and examined them, starting to work on him.
She knew how to patch wounds up, from the most tiniest to fatal wounds. She was the one that mostly patched her brother up.
She worked in complete silence the whole time, except for when azriel had hissed in pain when she was applying a gel into his wounds.
When she was done, she surveyed his hands. Then she finally glanced up.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have slapped you." She mumbled quietly.
He smiled faintly. "I deserved it." He said back, equally quiet.
"That you did." She nodded. A surprised laugh left him, some of the tension bleeding from his shoulder.
They didn't say anything for a long time before she gathered all the supplies and the box vanished. As she stood up to return to her room, she paused.
She wanted this to work, she knew that. And she knew that he wanted th same thing. So, mustering all the courage she had, she glanced back at him. He hadn't moved, staring at her.
"I hope the offer to take a tour of Velaris still holds?" It was a peace offering. She knew they needed to sit and have a long chat about everything, but for now, neither of them were ready for a heart to heart. They might have been friends before, but they didn't know each other now. They needed to understand what the other had become in the last five centuries to understand each other.
His brows furrowed. "What..." But then he perked up, his eyes lit up with precious hope. "The offer still stands."
"Thank the cauldron." She smiled. "Tomorrow?"
"Whenever you say."
"You've lived here. What do you suggest?"
"Morning is a good time, though its prettier in the night." He searched her eyes.
"Well... I guess we have no option but to spend the whole day in the city, don't you think?" A bright, beautiful grin spread on his face as he nodded eagerly. "Be ready after breakfast then, Shadowsinger."
As she walked down the steps, she could hear faint cheers coming from behind her, and she smiled.
A little of the weight she seemed to carry around everywhere lessened.
And she knew this was the right choice.

The Night Shift.
Chapter 6.
Johnnie Guilbert x Fem!Reader.
I woke up, still tightly held in Johnnie's arms. I opened my eyes to look at him. his makeup was nearly off, and his hair was messier than usual. it was a cute look on him. I felt him begin to stir, so I closed my eyes and pretended to be asleep. I felt him remove one arm from me and his body tilt, but then it was back.
"y/n," I heard my name as he gently patted my back. "You can go back to sleep, but what do you want from mcdonalds?"
I squinted my eyes at him, my head pounding. I realized he was blushing when we made eye contact. A small smile formed on my face. "Is it breakfast?"
"mhm, it's like 9 in the morning."
"Ugh." I scoffed, I was never usually up until 5, but once i was up, I couldn't go back to sleep. "a mcgrittle, or whatever the fuck it's called. I forgot."
he chuckled. "okay." he paused. "are you cool with this? I can let go if you want."
"don't, I'm comfortable." I wrapped my arms around him tighter.
he laughed and went back to typing on his phone. I could feel he was tense. "are you okay?"
"yeah, why"
"you just seem really tense."
he seemed to be thinking about what he was going to say. There was an awkward silence for at least 30 seconds. "Yeah, sorry." I sensed he was holding something back.
"I don't bite." I joked. I started to feel like he didn't want to see me anymore. did I do something wrong?
johnnie didn't answer.
I closed my eyes and thought about it. I mean, he said his ex was crazy. Maybe she traumatized him or something. Well, obviously, he's traumatized. why would he even think of his ex when we were hugging. it's just a hug, friends do that. I settled on the fact that he had just woken up, so maybe he's still trying to wake up.
"is the alcohol still fucking with you?" He broke the awkward silence.
I felt myself tense as well. "I have a fatass headache."
he sighed before turning off his phone and making eye contact with me, the blush still plastered on his face. "we have ibprofien or something, I need to go wake up jake so we can look." he whispered.
"Why are you whispering."
"I have no idea."
"Okay." I said, rolling over to stretch. I felt cold without him. It was kind of scary how I'd love to just lay in bed with him all day. my bones popping filled the silence. "God damn." I mumbled.
Johnnie stood up and stretched as well. I followed him out the door to Jake's neighboring room. "Honey, it's time to wake up." he said in a sweet voice.
I furrowed my eyebrows while I giggled quietly.
Johnnie knocked before walking in. We saw Jake sprawled out on the bed, his limbs going every which way. his blanket was wrapped around his torso.
Johnnie attempted to push him off the bed to wake him up. "I ordered mcdonalds, get up."
Jake groaned, rubbing the sleepiness out of his eyes. "what the fuck, fatass?"
"good morning, sunshine." I called from the doorway.
"Hey, y/n."
"damn." Johnnie rolls his eyes and climbs off the bed, walking back towards the door.
"Why the hell did you wake me up." Jake was sitting up at this point, looking at johnnie with tired eyes.
"I ordered breakfast so you and y/n wouldn't be too hung over all day."
"That's so thoughtful." I said sarcastically.
Johnnie checked his phone. "says it should be here in like 4 minutes."
"That's 4 more minutes of sleep I could've gotten." he complained. "But, thank you for caring, cutie pie. my husband is so sweet."
Johnnie glanced at him, laughing. "husband?"
Jake ignored him and followed me out of the door into the living room. I sat on the couch, playing a game on my phone as we waited for food. as soon as johnnie had left the room because the doorbell rang, Jake turned to me.
"it looks like you have a little crush." Jake stated, wiggling his finger.
"what are you talking about?"
"no one gets that close to a friend in 4 days, y/n. it's so obvious." he rolled his eyes.
"I don't like him, we just kinda clicked."
"I'll be reminding you of that at your wedding." He replied with a dorky smile.
I rolled my eyes. "okay, jake." he kept looking at me, as if he was waiting for me to admit I did. "what?"
"it's not good to lie." he smirked as johnnie walked back into the room with food.
I flipped jake off. Johnnie looked up at me and passed me what I had ordered, same with jake.
after jake had taken a few bites, I commented, "I hope you choke."
"on what? dick? mmm, that's your job, sweetie."
I scoffed. "wow, you're such a slut."
he gave me the look, saying "I know you aren't talking right now" with his eyes.
I rolled my eyes and continued to eat my own food.
"what's up with you today?" johnnie asked me.
"well, I need to go home and clean my fucking apartment cause it's dirty as fuck. but, that's really it. what about you guys?"
"were recording today." Jake answered with a mouth full of food.
Johnnie looked a little shocked.
"recording?"
"yeah, we're youtubers." Jake explained.
"and musicians." Johnnie added bashfully.
"damn, that's cool as fuck. are you guys big?"
"yes ma'am." Jake replied with an accent I couldn't make out.
"oh, shit. I'll have to look for you guys then." I smiled. "I'm your new number one fan."
jake smiled sweetly. "why, thank you, m'lady."

"Mr.(lastname)!" (Sons name) squealed out as he got out of the motorcycle car seat and onto the ground, rushing to the teacher "oh hello! How was your weekend?" (Name) asked crouching before the pup who swayed his body happily "it was good! Papa took me to work!"
"Really that must have been fun!"
"It was! He and uncle Iza took me to a fancy redront!"
"It's restaurant bud" Mikey said walking up to the two from his motorcycle with a lopsided grin, raking his hand through his hair as he tried to look cool...only to trip over the little backpack his son dropped a few feet away.
"Mr Sano! Are you alright!" (Name) rushed to the tattooed man with the tiny pup "I'm alright... Just fell for you I suppose" Mikey tried playing it off but his bloody nose said other wise.
The gang leader was not looking really cool infront of the pretty omega who led him into the nurses office "the nurse isn't here yet so let me fix you up--here (sons name), why don't you help me by counting these stickers so we have enough today"
"Ok Mr.(lastname)!" The pup loved helping as he immediately tried counting, the two adults knowing he would not get far as he was still figuring out numbers past 7.
"Ok let's clean you up" (name) said getting the things needed and gently began cleaning the blood off Mikey's face, getting close and the Alpha could smell the pharamones off (name) and it took everything in him not to press his face into his neck for both the reason of that would be embarrassing as hell and he was covered in blood.
"Now we only have (cartoon) and (other cartoon) bandaids so what one do you want Mr. Sano?" (Name) asked with a smile and Mikey pretended to give it deep thought before pointing to a box "Excellent choice!"
(Name) gently patched the Alpha up "there, good as new!"
Mikey watched as (name) grabbed two lollies from a bowl and handed one to Mikey and one to the pup who squealed at the treat "Mr.(lastname), why aren't you also my papa?" The little boy asked curiously and (name) didn't know how to respond to the boy "well usually it starts with a date before it can get to that bud" Mikey said to his kid who slwoly nodded "well why you guys not dating!" The boy asked frustrated "I'm working on it kiddo" Mikey said "go to class yeah? I'll return your teacher in a second"
The toddler huffed and wandered off to class, giving his dad a look before closing the door "kids really just say whatever" Mikey said, feeling as if his chance was ruined and (name) just smiled "if you don't wanna see me again that's fine"
"Hey now, can't give my verdict till we go on this so called date"
"Really?" Mikey asked and (name) couldn't help but find the man cute covered in Band-Aids and a slight black eye and (name) just shrugged "here's my number, call me?"
Mikey was so down bad for the Omega who wrote his number on Mikey's hand and wandered out.
He was gonna fucking marry him.

ice skating ft. childe, ayaka & amber
cws: dating: childe & ayaka, est. relationship: amber, fluff, mild cursing, implied fem bodied reader for ayaka and amber, wc for each: 1.7k, 3.3k, 1.5k
mlist | based on headcanons
childe
if you had told your past self that you're going on a date with the infamous sweetheart, ajax, you would be thinking you were going crazy. maybe even a tad delusional. but here you are sitting down on one of the wooden benches as childe helped you lace up your skates. "name, is this too uncomfortable?" he scooted back letting you wiggle your foot.
"no, it's as snug as a bug!" you replied, watching him have a sigh of relief. "okay, let me lace up the other one. is it too tight or is it okay like this one?" he pointed at the already-laced shoe.
"it's fine! are we able to be on the ice now?" you asked. ajax looked at the rink, walked to the ice and pretended to pull out a detective magnifying glass, before confirming a 'yes'. he likes to call himself the ice inspector because he was considered the best of doing so. or at least that's what his parents had told him. when he was little.
you guys were finally on the ice. unlike the girl in blue skating on the ice like she was born to and dancing so gracefully, you were like bambi. childe was teaching you to push on the other sides like a zig zag and as you were attempting just that. you lost your balance and fell on the ice. it hurts like hell but hey at least you have ice under you. "that was not as 'easy' as you made it sound, ajax." you huffed out, dramatically crossing your arms.
childe tried not to laugh as he took off his scarf and wrapped around you, you were snug again. "don't be so butthurt. it's easier for me because i grew up with it. take my hand and i'll guide you through it, okay?" he offered his hand to you, and you took it just before you two ended up interwinted on the ice. childe couldn't just help but laugh just a little bit and you joined in too.
"let's skate for real this time."
"agreed."
---
ayaka
you giggled with glee when you called your friends for a debriefing session as soon as possible. it was morning at the cat's tail with kaeya and nilou. "guys, i have a date with THE kamisato ayaka." you said, sipping your coffee. nilou gasped as kaeya rolled his eyes,
"did you really or did you have another dream again?"
"NO. it's for real this time, kae! kamisato and i. on an ice-skating date. this afternoom." you replied smugly. of course, it gets oddly silent whenever you say something big to your friends which only means one thing. they are second guessing you.... again.
nilou quirked a brow, "ice skating?" you hummed in confirmation, "yes, lulu, ice skating!" she stirred her hot chocolate with a stick as kaeya sipped his orange juice loudly, drawing your attention to him, "name, do you even know how to ice skate? last time we ice skated together, you hit the crevice of the rink, fell to your face and cried."
"in my defense, i was four when that happened. annnd yes, i do know how." nilou and kaeya shared a knowing look together before looking at you. "okay, i don't! but i kinda sort of lied to ayaka and said i do have experience with it..."
"oh my god." kaeya said with desperation as nilou pinched her nose bridge. "what if i ball it and she would never know."
nilou replied, "miss kamisato is really talented in that field, name. she would definitely know."
"for real?"
"yes."
--
it was noon, you still don't know how to skate, and you don't know how to tell ayaka that you were lying to her. thank god, the rink was inside a building instead of being outside. in a corner you saw a ginger offering his hand to his date, giggling, and you pray to have a moment like that with ayaka. across from that couple was ayaka, dressed in baby blues and whites, skating gracefully like a princess. you glanced at her in awe, she is so pretty. the word 'pretty' couldn't describe ayaka as her beauty can be like the fresh snow or something. you aren't really a person with good words but gosh, ayaka is so pretty.
you called out her name as she was twirlling on the ice, she stopped with a clean finished, specks of ice flew off her white ice skates. she saw you and smiled, skating her way near the rink, "hello, name, are you ready?"
"not quite, um, can you help me with my shoes?" you asked as she nodded. "it would be my pleasure." she opened the gate and walked with you to one of the benches stationed outside of the rink. you opened your bag and realized, you forgot kaeya's your shoes! ayaka noticed you looked lost while looking in your bag, "did you not bring your own shoes, or did you forget since you had have skated before?"
shit, you forgot you lied that you were the better ice skater than kaeya even though it was the opposite. "um, i forgot, i haven't skated in a while and my skates were pretty old and tarnished-" you started to whisper, "-because kaeya keeps stealing it."
she chuckled, "really?"
"really."
--
after ayaka helped you lace up your shoes, it was time to shine. but also known as, time to ball and hope ayaka doesn't notice. however, little did you know that ayaka already knew you didn't skate. especially when kaeya was one of her ice-skating buddies in the club. it didn't matter though since she was finally able to have a date with you despite your obliviousness to her advances.
amber
when amber said, "i know a place.", you didn't expect her to bring you into an excluded place in dragonspine that wasn't overran by abyss mages and other mobs. it was cold for sure, and you weren't sure how amber wasn't cold in her mini skirt. the evergreen trees were reaching for the skies and there was even a rock shaped like hearts. amber picked it up and said, this is us. you laughed and agreed.
once you guys ended up at the right place, a frozen over pond about 2 times bigger than the ponds you had seen in mondstadt. she pulled you into a hug and then told you a disclaimer, "by the way, babe, there is a teensy minor chance the lake might crack so if it is, i'll sacrifice my life for you. but seriously if it does crack, yell my name and we'll go the cat cafe and get coffee instead."
you exhaled a laugh, "okay, amber."
"awesome! now since that's said and done, let's party! but first, we need to have safety." she pulled out of her tote bag, knee pads, a helmet, another helmet, leg warmers and most importantly, pocket hand warmers. "wait, you know how to skate right? not in a kamisato ayaka or eula lawrence way but in a way where it's average but not too little like klee."
"yes, i promise you that i'm experienced in this."
"okay! we don't need the helmet then, i'll wear mine because it's baron bunny inspired, see?" she showed off the red helment with bunny ears. you nodded to gesture "yes, i do see it."
you and your girlfriend went off to skate and thankfully, no cracks in sight. it became a yearly tradition to go this specific place together.

Hey I would like to request a good omens Crowley x reader angsty sad fic where they are pining over him but he loves aziraphale and they don’t want to interfere. Kind of Laufey’s song Let You Break My Heart Again vibes. Thx!!❤️
"Why couldn't I have what THEY had, [y/n]?! Maybe it's...it's all part of God's great ineffable plan! As if fallin' weren't enough...y'know? Why not allow him to walk outta my life and crawl back to the other angelss, too? Keep fuckin' me over, I suppose. This must be karma, I swear.."
"Crowley.." You began, only to stop as the demon on the other end of the line continued his drunken sorrowful ramblings.
He was still clearly hurting, and you were his only company left.
The only one who knew about him and Aziraphale and everything they've done together for the past 6,000 years.
You've been around for a thousand or so, not aligned with Heaven nor Hell, but living as a simple immortal being.
However, only very recently have you learned that they've in fact known each other since the very dawn of Creation.
So their history goes way back.
It's no secret that Crowley's been pining after the angel all these years, forced to pretend he hates him just because he was on the "opposite side".
But he was sick of doing all of that, and finally got the courage to tell him how he really felt. He begged him to stay, to stop taking sides, and to think about just them for once.
In the end, Aziraphale still chose the side that shunned him for conspiring with a demon, halting Armageddon, and hiding Gabriel on Earth...all because he was offered a higher position of power and couldn't so easily let go of Heaven.
Not as easily as Crowley could. He couldn't understand that, or why Gabriel and Beelzebub could go off together and they couldn't.
Now you were here, having to comfort the very same demon that you've fallen in love with yourself.
It felt like such a selfish desire, knowing that you haven't lived nearly as long as either of them. You weren't there at the beginning of Everything. You weren't there at the Garden of Eden.
You could never fully understand their deep-rooted bond.
There's no way he would ever see you in a remotely similar light.
Even still, the heart wants what it wants..even if it's unobtainable.
"Listen, Crowley.." You tried speaking again. "I'm next in line, do you want anything?"
Perhaps that was rather poorly worded, as you heard a sniffle and what sounded like him holding back a sob. "I just want him to come back.." His voice broke.
There was that feeling again, constricting your human heart with pain.
It was such a fickle organ, you often thought. It kept people alive, yet when put through emotional toil..it felt like it was killing them, and they wanted nothing more than to rip it out of their chest to be rid of the pain.
But right in this moment, you felt like that because deep down...you wish he instead said that he wanted-
"W-Wait..you're..at that café 'cross the bookshop, right?" You heard Crowley mumble. "I'll get the usual..assuming she remembers. Actually...don't bother-"
"It's fine, Crow. It'll be my treat. I'm getting something, too...not that we actually need it. But we both enjoy it, right?"
"...right." He chuckled depressingly. "Fine. I'll be outside."
That was a surprise, although when you briefly glanced outside the window of Give Me Coffee or Give Me Death, you noticed the Bentley parked next to the sidewalk. You sighed, hanging up the phone before you stepped up to the register, smiling at Nina.
"Hello, Nina. I'll have my usual..and Mr. Crowley's, too. Six espresso shots, was it? And one of those [favorite flavor] pies, pretty please." You pointed to the menu.
"On it." She nodded, already getting to work on your order. "You know, I haven't seen that chap around in a while. How's he holding up? I heard he took it pretty hard."
"Yeah." You muttered, recalling how you've talked to her about your own feelings for Crowley.
You weren't expecting a human to solve the relationship woes of immortal beings when she herself was going through her own issues.
She worried that her and Maggie's little "intervention" caused the demon and angel to split up, but you didn't blame her. And neither did Crowley, although he was torn between wishing he didn't kiss Aziraphale and wondering if he'd regret not doing that at all.
He hasn't been back at the coffee shop since.
"Well, do you plan to tell him anytime soon?"
You nearly choked on your own spit. "N-Nina...I..I can't just do that. He clearly doesn't see me that way. He talks about him every day and night. I've stayed up past midnight consoling him, letting him stay with me the moment I learned he's sleeping outta his car. But...it's him he loves, not me. And I can't interfere with that..it would be wrong."
"Then...what's your plan from here?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.
"..I'm not sure anymore. I guess hope that one day..I'll stop falling in love with him. Maybe his angel will come back and everything will be as it was."
"Sounds like wishful thinking at this point, but I'm sure things will work out. Maybe he'll move on."
"I doubt it, but time will tell."
"Right." After finishing the drinks, she set them down into a cupholder, before giving you the pie as well. You paid and bid her farewell before heading out of the café and to the Bentley.
Inside, you saw Crowley sulking, lost in thought until you knocked on the passenger's window. He sat up with a start, fixing his glasses when he realized it was you. "S-Sorry."
The door opened, and you slid inside, passing him the tall cup with tons of espresso shots. "It's okay. So..where did you wanna go today?"
"I was thinkin'..St. James Park. Feel like I've been neglecting the ducks for far too long."
You blinked. 'Wasn't that..his and Aziraphale's thing-?'
"Yeah, I know..it...was our thing." He responded as though he read your mind. "'s just..been so lonely without him to chatter to. I hate siting all alone on that bench. But it's not like I can just walk Upstairs and tell him to screw all of them, right?"
"Sadly..no." Shaking your head, you glanced over your shoulder at the plants he's shoved into his backseat. Closest to you was a venus fly trap that had spots and other flaws, looking rather frail and wilted and sad.
Not too different from how its owner felt.
You smiled sadly and stroked the top of its head with your thumb, feeling it cease its trembles. Its mouth closed as it seemed to...purr?
How cute.
"Well would ya look at that...ya even treat the bloody things the same as he did.."
You tensed, looking back to Crowley and frowning upon seeing the tears sliding down his cheeks. But he was quick to wipe them away once you noticed them, yet a sniffle still managed to escape him.
"I'm sorry, I don't mean to keep doing stuff that reminds you of him.." You set a hand on his back. "Do you...want me to drive?"
"No, it's fine.." He shook his head, sniffling loudly one last time before he managed to pull himself together. "Let's just..go."
You nodded, taking a sip of your coffee and a small bite of your pie, before you reached for the radio-
However, you forgot that the Bentley was sentient, instead turning it on for you and playing a song that nearly made you choke once again.
"--All I've had is coffee and leftover pie. It's no wonder why. Ooooh, still you take up all my mind. I don't even think that you care like I do. I should stop, Heaven knows I've tried..."
Even Crowley froze as he listened to the lyrics.
And not because it wasn't a Queen song.
"One day, I will stop falling in love with you."
Neither of you spoke a word, instead staring at the dashboard with looks of sadness upon your faces. You thought he would've changed the song by now, but...when you looked over, you could see his glasses now resting on the bridge of his nose.
His golden irises have almost completely taken over the whites of his eyes.
What little you saw of them..
Were growing redder and glossier.
"Some day, someone will like me like I like you."
You felt your own eyes start to sting, too, so you looked away and opted to pet the venus fly trap that was nuzzling your hand, clearly asking for more much-needed affection.
Sentient plants were easy to comfort.
If only your demon friend could be the same way..
If only you could show him that you wished to be more than just friends..but this simply wasn't your place to tell him that.
Not here, not now...and possibly not ever. For as long as you lived on this mortal plane.
All you could hope was that one day, the feeling will pass.
If Aziraphale came back, things might be better. You wished the idiot would at least check in with you both once in a while so you knew he was alive.
If that's the last time you hear from him, well....you weren't sure if Crowley would ever want to try loving again after what he's suffered through. He poured his heart out, only for it to get broken and stomped on before being left all alone on Earth.
He couldn't go through that again.
And you didn't wanna say anything about how you felt for the centuries you've known him. He could very well perceive that as you trying to replace him and ruin this friendship.
The wounds in his heart are still clearly fresh..and they likely will be for a long, long time.
For now, you'll just be by his side and be mindful. Perhaps he'll eventually realize how you felt about him...but you doubt it.
"Until then, I'll drink my coffee, eat my pie. Pretend we are more than friends. Then of course, I'll let you break my heart again-"
Crowley's hand suddenly shot towards the button, the car filling with an abrupt silence as he shut off the music. Then he switched between several Queen songs, eyebrows furrowed as none of them seemed to suit his current mood.
If Queen didn't make him happy anymore...he was seriously in emotional distraught.
But eventually he settled for "Somebody to Love", and you smiled, wiping your eyes as you leaned back in the seat. "Good choice."
He nodded absentmindedly, before finally driving off to the park after adjusting his glasses.
No further words were exchanged. You didn't even scold him for speeding down the tightly-knitted roads of London. That's the last thing he needed right now.
Especially since you picked up that habit from Aziraphale.
But even as Freddie's voice reverberated through the Bentley, you two couldn't stop thinking about the lyrics of Laufey's song and what it meant to both of you.
Yet the people it reminded you of...were completely different.

The boys when y/n has a bad day (haikyuu)
Characters: Kuroo, Bokuto, Kei, Atsumu x f! reader TW: unchecked works
Tumblr media
Kuroo Tetsuro
Quietly wraps his figure around you from behind, enveloping you in his chest and arms. Then he presses a kiss to your temples. "Want to talk about it?"
If you did, he'd quietly listen and give advices. Even in situations where he couldn't help or there was no way to make things better, he'd tell you, "take your time, it's okay to feel upset, kitten."
If you didn't want to talk about it, he'll accept it and try to change the topic and find something to do with you. "how about we have a nice dinner together? Or do you want to catch a movie tonight?"
Has his arms around your waist and press kisses to your cheeks, temple, hair, forehead and tells you cheesy pick up lines every now and then until you break into a smile or giggle.
And when you finally do, he'll smile too, "there's my baby~"
He'll cuddle you in his arms and warm body, stroking your hair until you've fallen asleep. "I love you" He whispers to you.
Bokuto Koutaro
Gets upset when he learns you're upset. "Who made / why are you upset baby owl!?"
He pulls you in a tight hug and looks at you with glossy eyes and a little pout.
You tell him of course, else he wouldn't let you go. He'll be all mopey for the entire day like that ONE TIME you didn't want to tell him, he was so pouty and his hair was even deflated.
Once you let him know of your worries, he'll try to suggest ways where he can help you. Of course most of the time it's his silly ideas but it cheers you up a little because he's so funny.
"How about I go over and pretend to be a girl and join your friendly game next week!!"
"I'll totally be down to wear a skirt like yours baby! You look so cute in them!"
When you finally convinced him that it was okay and you didn't need any help, he'll try to cheer you up instead.
"OKAY! LET'S GO ON A DATE! AND HAVE LOTSA ICE CREAM!" He'll lift you up in his arms and spin in circles.
Tsukishima Kei
Knows you're upset but has no idea what to do. Low key panicking.
Decides to give you your space and cool off, hoping that you'd figure things out and just need some time to clear your mind.
Brings some water to you after awhile and gently pats your head.
"do you want me to be here?" he quietly asks.
he'd leave if you wanted to be alone and he'd stay with you if you said yes.
Puts his headphone over your ears and plays some of his favourite happy music for you. Then climbs into bed and lie next to you, scrolling on his social media and showing you any funny videos he came across.
When you've finally calmed down and had the energy to tell him, he listens and tells you not to care too much if it can't be solved.
He's right, but you still give a sigh anyway. This boy has no idea what are the right words to say, nor is he the romantic type, so he wraps his arms around you and pull you close to him, pressing a kiss on your hair.
"You hungry?"
Orders your favourite take outs plus desserts and you have dinner in bed while you binge on happy dramas together.
Miya Atsumu
"Ehhh? Who made my pretty princess upset??" he jokes light heartedly until he sees that you are indeed, really upset.
"hey hey," his voice suddenly drops a tone and he comes over to engulf you in a hug, "talk to me, baby."
He's totally team y/n whether or not you were right or wrong. "Sheesh, come on, tell him/her to just chill the fuck out! It's totally a small issue~"
If you're upset over something that is not regarding anyone, he'll give a little pout and kiss you on your cheek, "wish I could help shoulder some pain for ya, baby."
Holds you for soooo long, even your back is numb but his arms are fit as hell, so he doesn't feel sore at all.
After you're feeling slightly better, he'll carry you bridal style, "Let's go play some arcade or watch some movie or go to that cafe you always wanted to, baby!"
Won't take no for an answer, cause this man will carry you all the way into his car and peppers lots of kisses into your face until you have to swat him away.
"There's ma pretty princess~"

Deal.
July 2018
Em still wasn't sure why she'd agreed to do this. She could have left. She could have walked away and pretended that Dan never sent that text, that she'd leave Dan alone and pretend they'd never met. That Monaco never happened. It would have made her life easier.
But Dan had actually called her and she couldn't turn him down over the phone. And without thinking she told him to meet her at her favourite cafe in Ealing, close to where she'd been to uni. So she was sitting there trying to get some work done before he arrived. She'd nearly texted him to go to the Pret down the street, somewhere unfamiliar, but she deleted the message. A familiar place would be better for her nerves, Sue grinning and starting her latte as she walked in and asking how Em was and what she was doing.
She sat in the corner with her coffee and a chicken sandwich that Ron handed her with a smile and a greeting. She'd have loved to say that she didn't notice Dan walking in, but she did immediately. It was too small to not notice someone arrive, but that curly hair was too much to ignore. He came straight across to her with his broad smile and she couldn't help but return it.
"Hey Emmy, what're you drinking? I'll get one."
"Caramel latte, just tell Sue it's for me and she'll know." It took five minutes before he was back, one of the little trays in his hands carrying everything. There was a coffee for each of them, a blueberry muffin for her and a noodle salad for Dan, with a slice of cake in between them on the table to share.
"The woman at the counter said this is your favourite, is that right? I guess you come here often."
"Yeah, I used to work here in uni. Still pull shifts if they need a hand and I have time." Em took a sip of her coffee, smiling at the taste. "Congrats on France, by the way. And happy birthday, I hope it's a good year for you."
"Thanks, we're doing drinks after Silverstone for it. At least I got to finish the race this time! Plus some good points. But how are you? How was the last few weeks?"
She paused, trying to work out how to make it sound more fun than it had been. "You know, the usual. Working, making sure Blake's apartment doesn't fall apart while he's running around the world."
They both took a bite in the awkward silence that had fallen between them and Em waited for him to speak. It had never been awkward between them before.
"I owe you an apology." It was the most serious she'd ever heard him before.
"Dan-"
"No, Emmy, please. I owe you one. I shouldn't have just ignored you, that was wrong and I'm sorry. I know it doesn't fix it but I didn't mean to. Yeah I was busy, but I shouldn't have. I promise I didn't want to. Work was insane and with the way my schedule is I didn't want to bother you when you have enough going on." She watched him take a few seconds to work out how to phrase what he wanted to say and let him pause. "I'm sorry. It wasn't a one night stand, and you're my friend. I don't want us to lose any of what we have."
"You don't need to apologise, Dan. We both did it."
"Yeah but I w-"
"Look, Dan, I still want to be your friend. I still want to hang out with you and spend time with you when you have it, and we both know you don't have much." She took a breath to get the rest of what she needed to say out, "But I don't think we should sleep together anymore. You mean a hell of a lot to me, and if we keep sleeping together we're going to fuck up eventually. We can be friends though, right?"
"Yeah. Friends." The smile on his face didn't fully reach his eyes and that hurt Em, but she knew it was the right call. And if he didn't want to be her friend he could fade out of her life. It'd be fine. They stayed quiet eating for a few moments.
"So you're coming to Silverstone, right? I organised a hotel room for you."
"Dan..."
"I have your pass!" He pulled four passes from his jacket, lanyards wrapped around the neatly stacked batch. "You don't have to take a flight this time. Please? As my birthday present?"
"I have your birthday present, actually. It's not much, but here." Em felt so silly pulling it out of her bag. The book was carefully wrapped in blue paper. She'd seen Jack Brabham's autobiography in her favourite second hand book shop the week after Monaco and picked it up. Trying to think of a birthday present felt impossible for the man who could have it all. Now sitting in front of him it felt ridiculous to give a Formula One driver a book about one? Stupid. But Dan was opening it so she couldn't take it away.
"It's for me?" Dan asked, oblivious to Em's internal freak out. "Emmy you didn't have to."
"It's nothing. Like seriously, it's nothing. I don't even know what I was thinking when I got it, but you said you wanted to start reading more and I thought it'd be nice."
She took a sip of her drink and looked down at the table for a moment, wanting to give him a couple of moments to act like he was happy instead of just seeing disappointment on his face. Why did she think this was a good idea? Stupid. Stupid.
"You saw this and thought of me?" He smiled as he held it up. A real smile.
"I mean Australian, driver, it made sense in my head. I know it was a stupid idea."
"Emmy it's perfect. I love it. Thank you, seriously. Dad used to tell me stories about watching him drive when he was a kid, he'll love me saying I have this. I love it."
"Glad you like it." She smiled shyly, picking off a piece of muffin to pop into her mouth. "Can I think about the race?"
It was absolutely a lie. She knew she'd say yes. She knew it. There was nothing those brown eyes couldn't make her do.
"Of course you can. But if it helps in any way, I have to say I'd love to see you there." Dan insisted. As much as Em hated to admit it her heart began to melt just a little bit.

Oh, boi, oh man.
Imagine: C.C with a hopeless romantic angel reader, the one who read too many human romance books and now wants a lover for eternity, the one who bring him flowers and chocolate when going to a date, or bringing him to special places (aka his or reader's favorite places) just to enjoy their time and pretend they are a normal human couple.
My heart--
(oh this is good. Reader is also a Cupid for added flavor)
"Stay safe out there, everyone! And remember, love is around every corner!"
Your heart soars at the DJ's words. You had always had a love for human romance, partly due to your role in guiding them to one another. The cheesy romance novels you read, and dramatic films you saw filled you with such glee. There was nothing sweeter than a lover's embrace; that first "I love you." Absolute magic.
You fell in love with the concept so much, you wanted your own partner to spend entirely with. Wrapped happily in a blanket of affection and undying devotion; no better dream than that to your lovesick mind. Unfortunately, you didn't have much contact with other angels due to most of your time being on earth. With that out of the question, you decided to settle on one of its residents.
Your first stop on your mission for love was a club. Not exactly the most romantic place, but it was filled to the brim with potential sweethearts. You chatted about, but never really felt that click with any of the people you talked too. Just before you decided to leave, the lights grew dim.
"Hey, folks. Sorry I was a little late. Had some car trouble."
An unfamiliar figure walks on the small stage in the front of the room. He smiles at the crowd, fangs poking past his lips. He was dressed in a pink jacket, wings strapped to a harness on his back. He had a hair pin in his white hair depecting a ribbon with an arrow shot through it. There was already a fuzzy feeling in your chest, but when he spoke again your heart was stolen.
"I'm C.C.. Your hometown cupid, and DJ for the evening. Let's have a good time and fall in love tonight."
Your face grows flushed. Where one might have found this act a little cringy, you thought it was the cutest thing ever. There was something off about him, but you couldn't put your finger on it. Could he possibly be an angel like you? The music began to play, but you paid no mind; all attention on him.
You had to meet him.
-
C.C walks out the back door of the club, the throb of a headache already coming on. It was a long night, and he really didn't need people shouting in his ear after the show.
"Hi!"
"Ah!" C.C shouts, dropping his keys in the process. He sees you standing there, smiling. He waves.
"Oh, uh, hey."
"I saw you in the club.. It was a nice show."
"Thanks.."
"This may be an odd question, but are you really one?'
"One what?"
"A Cupid? I heard you say it on stage, and you don't have the same aura of a human. It's kinda... dark."
"What the fuck are you- Oh shit." C.C backs up. With a second glance, he could tell what you really were; having dealt with your kind in the past. You on the overhand had no experience with a demon and therefore were clueless.
"Look- I really need to go." He reaches for his keys, you doing the same.
"Oh, I'll grab those for you."
Your hands meet somewhere in the middle, yours over his. A wave of nausea hits C.C upon contact with your skin; his face warmer than a million suns. Something like that meant only one thing for an incubus; he was in the presence of a potential mate.
"Aw, hell no."
-
You continued to pursue him from that day on. Even after finding out he was a demon, you still gave it your all. To C.C, angels were on the same level as humans; he disliked them. Especially as a family member fell victim to one in the past.
He refused to acknowledge any of the attention you gave him, or how adorable your laugh was. Or how cute you looked in the sunlight... or any light.
You showered him in gifts, and tried to find out what places he liked so you could take him. When you managed to get reservations for an exclusive club in a nice part of the city, he couldn't say no to coming. You even dressed up for the occasion, his decrepit heart pumping at the sight of you. Not even the bartender could get near you that night to ask what you'd like to drink.
You eventually wore him down to somewhat of a friendship. He let you follow him home sometimes, and you took care of him when he had hangovers. Your existence was kinda nice- not just because of the previous fact. You genuinely seemed to care for him, and that wasn't something he was used to.
However, one question still rang in his mind.
"Hey, Y/n? Why don't you just use one of your arrows on me to make me like you?"
"Why would I do that?" You laugh, voice softening as you continue. "Humans can fall in love without my help and I want that sort of true love. Plus, I can't use them for my own means... and I'm about fourty percent sure they'd kill you."
The latter part of your sentence falls on deaf ears. It was that one moment of genuine feeling that made him truly fall for you, as much as he'd still deny it. He decided, that if you were going to shower him in so much affection, he'd kill you with the same. Definitely not because he wants to see that smile of yours for the rest of your days.
Your first "date" is to a rose garden. C.C honestly didn't know much, but knew roses were a huge deal in romantic media. You brought him his favorite candy, which were gummies of any kind, but worms. He came prepared for it this time, bringing you a bouquet of flowers and a teddy bear.
In hind sight, it may have been a little silly to bring flowers on a date to a whole garden, but it was the thought that counted. You both enjoyed the day quite a bit, heading to a bakery nearby afterwards. The second you returned home, you were met with with fleet of texts from the demon, the final being just a simple wish goodnight.
His possessiveness bled through the longer you dated; something you would never pick up on. He would talk about you to friends or colleagues, but never let any of them meet you. He made the wall paper of ever device he had a picture from a carnival you went to. Constantly made subtle posts about you on all his pages. And if anyone talked shit about you, there would be hell to pay.
It wasn't until your twelfth date that he said the words you were waiting to hear. His obsession with you was too much to keep the damn of his heart closed forever. You were his muse, his everything; the love he never knew he needed all found in one of the cheeseist cliches there was.
Sitting atop a ferris wheel, hand in hand as the sunset before you, C.C squeezed your palm just a little tighter as he looked into your eyes.
"I love you, Y/n."

🎲 Fandom choosing is so hard! Either S&H or H50, a random kiss pls!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
oh hell yeah. there are two directions you could go with this (bridal or h/c) and I went with. the other one.
Send me a fandom and I'll generate a kiss to write!
Steve stared down at the top of Danny's head. Not that that was an uncommon state of affairs, but there was a greater distance to stare right now. It made his hair even shinier, especially under the bright lights of Iolani Palace HQ. "Danny, what the hell are you doing?"
"Just-" Danny grunted, wrapping an arm around Steve's legs. "Just shut up."
"Danny. It wasn't actually a challenge."
"Oh no, boss," Tani chipped in helpfully. "I was definitely challenging him."
"Didn't think it was to propose, though," Grover said, making a manful attempt at pretending he wasn't laughing.
Steve sighed. Danny was reaching up for his hand, but he was reasonably sure he wasn't actually going to just grab his wrist without Steve's cooperation. He rested his hand on Danny's shoulder instead. "Does it have to be fireman's carry? I am supposed to have some authority here. Where did you learn fireman's carry, anyway?"
That, at least, achieved the desired effect of Danny standing up. Apparently he couldn't be appropriately offended while kneeling at Steve's feet. "I was trained as a first responder! I should be asking you how you know it."
"The military invented it."
"That's true," Junior volunteered from the other side of the table, where he'd wisely confined himself.
"No, it's-" Grover interjected. "Honestly. You Navy boys think you made the sky blue."
Steve couldn't help shrugging and responding, "Well, it is our colour."
Danny rolled his eyes. "Oh-"
The man could move fast when he wanted. Stocky and low to the ground came with advantages. As did, to be fair, Steve's reaction time being stymied by his aversion to hurting Danny in the process. Somehow it all ended up with Steve halfway to exactly the position he'd been trying to avoid.
Danny's back was, frankly, a less appealing view than the top of his head. At least at this angle and fully clothed.
"What were you saying about authority?" Danny said smugly.
"I think I lost it ten minutes ago," Steve admitted to Danny's scapula. He was tempted to go dead weight, which he was pretty sure actually would drop Danny, but that probably wouldn't end up in any more dignified position for either of them.
"You lost it years ago, boss," Tani told him. "You're way too much of a softie to keep it longer than first impression."
"You know I led a SEAL team?"
"You've softened since then," Danny said, and poked him in the side. "Candy left in the sun."
Sighing, Steve accepted that as merely the latest in a long line of fond but slightly derogatory food-based analogies. "Are you planning on putting me down anytime soon? All my blood's starting to go to my head."
"Can't have your head getting any bigger," Danny agreed, and helped him heave himself back over Danny's shoulder onto the ground.
Safely standing, Steve blinked a couple of times, letting the dizziness subside as Tani clapped Danny on the back and handed over a dollar bill. "Shouldn't have doubted you."
"No, you shouldn't have," Danny said, and went to take the money.
It floated to the ground untouched as Steve crouched and lifted, one arm across Danny's back and one under his knees.
Danny squawked, and Grover started laughing, bending over with his hands on the computer table.
"Hey! No-one challenged you!"
"Partnership equity."
"I don't think you know what either of those words mean," Danny grumbled, and crossed his arms. Which, given his current bridal-carried state, made Grover's laughter redouble and Steve snort, the movement shaking Danny slightly and pushing his elbow further into Steve's ribs.
"I hate you," Danny said, and let his head fall onto Steve's shoulder.
"Yeah, I love you too." Steve bent his head to kiss Danny on the forehead, which was met with a faint mumble that deniably may or may not have contained words of affection, then he looked over at the rest of the team. "Now, who wants to put money down on how much I can beat his time by?"
"Oh, I do."
"Hundred percent."
"Hey!"

17. Needing to kiss to hide from bad guys
content: some creeps won't leave you alone at the bar so a stranger (eren obviously ♡ ) stands in as your fake boyfriend, alcohol, explicit language, cheesy but i think it's fun :3
Tumblr media
This had been going on long enough. And you finally decided to put an end to it before these idiots could ruin any more of your night.
Okay, maybe it was less of a putting-your-foot-down decision and more of a panicked, last-ditch effort. But hey, at least it was something.
When you went for your second drink, the same guys from earlier—the group that pestered you—were still hanging around the bar. You were really hoping they would have left by now, but as luck would have it, you'd have to keep your head down and hope they got the hint last time.
It was flattering at first, when one of them offered to buy your drink, but it quickly became anything but after you politely declined. The bozo became pushy and crude—and that was putting it lightly. None of his friends had the decency to tell him to cut it out, either, only drunkenly egging him on as if you were their amusement for the night.
That was where the said 'last-ditch effort' came into play. Backed into a corner—quite literally—the sole solution you could come up with was, "Leave me the hell alone, or else my boyfriend will kick your ass."
It appeared to catch them off guard, but they clearly weren't convinced.
The brute that tried to buy your drink earlier, their ringleader, scoffed. "Boyfriend, huh?" He leaned in. You winced with disgust. "Where is he? Let me see what I'm up against."
Shit. Out of everything you could have blurted out, why did you have to go and say that?
He could see right through you; there was no doubt about it. But the way he looked at you, that sick entertainment twinkling in his eyes, you couldn't take it back now. Your only choice was to double down on it.
You peered past him, eyes scanning the room, searching for someone—anyone. Your only criteria was that they were around your age, so it was believable, and wasn't already clinging to another.
"There," you bluffed less than confidently. You nodded in the general direction of the table across the room. Around it, a group of four boys. You were purposefully vague about which you were referring to, and before he could question it, you continued, "Now, if you'll excuse me—" You snatched your drink from the bar. "I'm going to go back to him."
You were stiff as you made your way to the table. Slow about it, too, taking your time as you contemplated how insane you were for actually going through with this. But now that you were here, you couldn’t slip back to your table of girlfriends unnoticed. So you pressed on, your hand clenched around your drink so tightly that you thought it might slip in a mess of condensation and sweat.
You smiled as best you could—you were sure it looked pained—as you approached them. When you were close enough, you sat your drink on the table like it was entirely normal, while they stared at you because, obviously, it was far from normal. It wasn't an unfriendly look but more of a 'where the hell did you come from?' sort of thing, which was fair.
"Pretend you know me," you said through a gritted smile, aimed at no one in particular, as your nervous eyes darted between them. "Please."
One spoke up. The man across from you. Blonde and big. "Why—"
You lowered your voice, leaning in. Interested, or at the very least, mildly curious, they all followed suit.
“I told those jerk-offs over there that I was with my boyfriend so they'd leave me alone. I don't have a boyfriend. I'm at a table full of girls." You paused only to sip your drink; you needed it. "So, which one of you will it be?" Then you threw in another 'please.'
They looked at each other disbelievingly, silently asking not if they’d do it but who would do it, until the guy to your right finally said, "I'll do it." Your eyes flew to him, shocked that your lame plan was working, and he shrugged. "I'm the closest to you, aren't I?"
You didn’t mean to, but you looked him up and down once. He was cute, very cute, with pretty green eyes and dark hair he had loosely tied back. As much as you wanted to continue ogling, his handsome appearance was your last priority right now.
"Thank you, thank you," you squealed in a mix of relief and surprise. Grateful that you weren’t shooed away, you weren’t thinking when you excitedly hugged him around the waist. He was tense for a second but must have realized what he had agreed to because he placed a hand on the middle of your back.
“Ah, sorry,” you said as you pulled away. You let out an embarrassed chuckle as you joked, “I think I’m moving too fast.”
“No worries,” he replied, a genuine smile on his face. “Saving our first hug until after we’re official is pretty slow, if you ask me.”
You stayed close enough to make a believable couple. He played along well, sliding his hand to your lower back. When he whispered to ask if it was okay, you nodded, so he kept it there comfortably.
You didn’t know how long you’d have to stand at his side. That didn’t mean it had to be awkward, though. There was no harm in some friendly conversation.
You tilted your head to look up at him and ask, “So, what’s your name?”
“Eren. Yours?”
You introduced yourself and chatted for a moment. Nothing more than small talk, but you smiled like it was the most riveting conversation to sell the charade.
Until one of Eren’s friends interrupted you. “Hey, lovebirds. I think those guys are coming over here.”
“Damn it,” you muttered, your anxiety welling up in your throat. You turned to Eren, hopeful, and asked, “Think you can take them?”
“In a fight?”
You felt your nose scrunch. “I may have said my boyfriend would kick their ass.”
In your peripherals, you could see them nearing you. And before Eren could decide what to do—yes, he had been in a bar fight before. Just one, but it wasn’t something he would proudly share with you, a stranger—you had another bright idea.
“Kiss me,” you exclaimed.
Deal, Eren thought. That was much easier than getting into a brawl.
Eren cupped your face and more than willingly pulled you in. You kissed for a moment, your lips tentatively moving against his. You let him lead; he was the one helping you out, after all. And surprisingly, you didn’t want it to end.
But you couldn’t stay there, hogging up this poor man’s lips, so you broke it off when you heard Eren’s friend say, “The coast is clear.”
To your delight, the creeps were on their way out of the bar. You watched the front doors shut behind them and finally let out a deep breath. You didn’t know when you had stopped breathing. Was it when Eren kissed you?
“Thank you, seriously,” you said to Eren, one last time.
“Anytime, but hopefully they don’t bother you again.” He gave you a half-smile. “Go find your friends. I’m sure they’re worried about you.”
You picked up your drink, ready to leave, and you only meant it as a joke when you asked, “After all that, you aren’t going to ask my number? I must be an awful kisser.”
Eren, who you were quickly learning was full of surprises, laughed as he replied, “Trust me, I want your number, but this didn’t exactly seem like the best time to ask for it. Can you blame me?”
The night was taking quite the twist, wasn’t it? Not that you could complain, of course, because now you could fully appreciate that Eren was one good-looking dude. You’d be happy to give him your number.
“You can have it,” you said, smiling coyly to hide the fact that your heart was about to thump out of your chest. “So I can properly thank you for tonight. Then we’re even.”

Secrets, Secrets Are No Fun(2)
Outer Banks x Teen Wolf PT.2
WARNINGS: Fighting scars, , R@pe talk.
*This isn't going to follow the Teen Wolf movie plot exactly because I wanna get right to the point in some areas. For the sake of the story pretend Dereks loft was in the middle of the woods :)*
Tumblr media
It's been about five years since you left Beacon Hills and you and Rafe have been together for those five years. Your life has been quiet thank god, not having to deal with the supernatural for years. You've of course talked to Scott, your mom, and some of the others on occasion. No one in Outer Banks knows your secret but they're definitely starting to be suspicious of some of the scars on your body, wounds that your super healing couldn't fully heal. The group including Rafe also noticed your eyes glowing when you got insanely pissed at a guy one night. Rafe was always the one to comment on the scars that ran across your back.
It was after a 10-hour shift at The Wreck and you had been sleeping over Rafes for the past couple of days so you headed over after work hopping in his shower. You knew he would be home soon after a long day at the course. You were letting the water cascade down your body and you heard the door open knowing it was Rafe. "Hey ba-" His sentence was cut short when seeing the laceration scars across your back. "What are these?" Rafe whispered running his finger across them.
"I don't want to talk about it. Bad memories." You whispered back leaning back into him his arms wrapping around your waist kissing your shoulder. "Okay, baby. I'm all ears if you ever wanna talk." He reassured smiling against my neck and running his hands over my stomach. "You wouldn't understand Rafe. Very few can understand." He didn't know what to say knowing that if you said he wouldn't understand you meant it and he didn't want to push it. He didn't let him stop from wondering what happened to you. He wasn't stupid he knew they were whip lacerations and the thought of that happening to you made him sick. He would probably have a heart attack if he found out everything.
You were at Rafes end of summer party and everyone was wasted out of their minds. You were drunk as hell due to the wolfs-bane in your drink. During the summer you made friends with a girl at your job and you became very good friends and you guys knew each other's secrets (most of them.) One thing you knew is that she had a restraining order against her r@pist. You were standing in the kitchen sipping on your mixed drink looking around the party. Your eyes landed on the drunken girl and the same guy she told you about. You slammed your drink down marching over and pushing him away from her.
"Get the fuck away from her." Your voice was stern and hard glaring at him. "It's fine, she's my girlfriend." He tried making your face turn in disgust and your glare turning even harsher. "I'll call the cops right fucking now." He put his hands up in defense a smile on his ugly ass face knowing I knew. "I'm innocent, the bitch is just fucking crazy." You cocked your head to the side your tongue poking your cheek. "What the fuck did you just say? I'm gonna give you a chance to walk away." He crossed his arms thinking he would win just because he was bigger than me. I could fucking kill him in a second if I wanted to.
When he realized I wasn't to back down he scoffed turning to walk away. "It's not r@pe if she liked it." He said under his breath and you grabbed his shoulder turning him around and punching him right in the middle of his face. A whole circle formed around you guys including Kie, Rafe, JJ, Pope, and so on and so forth. You threw multiple punches at him your face stone cold as the pogues and Rafe were watching in shock and terror. They've never seen you angry and this went from 0 to 100 real quick. Since they were all relatively in front of you they all could've sworn they saw your eyes glow red. They never said anything they just blamed it on the strobe lights.
You were sleeping in Rafes' bed on your side of the bed the same dream occurring the past few months. It was Allison well a form of Allison and she was in distress screaming for help and it's all that would happen before the dream ended. This time she seemed so real, the screams sounded real and you were there with her trying to save her but she kept getting farther away. "Allison! Allison! Allison!" You chanted in your dream. Rafe woke up to you screaming a name in fear and hyperventilating in your sleep. "Baby! Y/N! Y/N!" He shook you until you woke up and your eyes shot open tears rolling down your face as you were sweating and your chest heaving.
"You're safe baby. You're okay I'm here." He moved the blankets off of you to cool you down and turned his fan on sitting in front of you on the bed. "Are you okay love?" He rubbed his hands up and down your arms as you nodded even though you weren't. "Can I ask something?" He knew not to ask about your past but it was worth a shot. "Of course." You whispered grabbing the water from the nightstand. "Who's Allison?" You took a gulp of your water slowly putting the cap back on deciding on whether to say anything or not.
"Uh, she was my best friend. My brother's first love. She died for me. She pushed me out of the way. We couldn't save her." You whispered closing your eyes as you relived one of the worst nights of your life. "I'm so sorry baby. But that's not your fault, she loved you and you can't blame yourself for not being able to save her." He tried to reassure. The thing was you would've been able to save her but she wasn't in pain, you can't take away pain if there's none. "Goodnight baby." You kissed him laying back down with Rafe wrapping his arms around you from behind. When you woke up you informed Rafe that you were going to go back home(new home) for a few days to clear your mind.
You were chilling in your room watching tv when all of a sudden you got a text from Liam only saying 'We got a problem.' You sat up in bed abruptly. You called Liam chewing your lip. "What kind of fucking problem?" You immediately asked when he picked up the phone. "I'm good Y/N, how are you." You laughed at his sassiness pinching the bridge of your nose. "Yeah, I'm great Dunbar. What is the problem?" "Uh, the Nogistune escaped. Onis are back. You know same old same old." You knew he was nervous and you gulped hard. "How'd he escape?" "A hooded figure freed him. I don't know who it is." "Okay, I'll be back in Beacon Hills as soon as possible." You hung up calling Scott immediately after.
"Liam text you?" He immediately asked. "Yeah with no explanation at all." You laughed as did he agreeing Liam did the same thing to him. "Dunbar hasn't changed. So are you going back to Beacon Hills?" "I don't think I have a choice, Scott. I'm packing now and I'll be back home the first chance I get. It's going to come back after us and we'll get killed if we don't fight." The conversation continued as you grabbed your bag and keys leaving the house and heading to the airport texting your aunt and uncle saying you were going back home for a few. Kie hid behind the bathroom door so she wouldn't be caught eavesdropping on your conversation. Kiara heard you leave the house but you were already long gone. Kie rushed out of the house heading to the Chateau texting Sarah to have Rafe head there too.
"Guys! Guys!" She yelled sprinting up to the porch and flinging the door open. "You good Kie?" JJ asked standing up and heading over to her and she shook her head. "It's Y/N, she's going back home and she was on the phone with her brother talking about how something is after them and they might get killed." She rushed out in one breath and everyone was confused telling her to slow down. "What the fuck do you mean she'll get killed?" Rafe asked standing up and running his hands over his buzzcut. "I don't know Rafe! All I heard was that if they don't fight they get killed! It's all I heard!" The whole group started stressing and worrying sitting down and putting their heads in their hands.
"Okay well, the only option is to go to Beacon Hills after her," Cleo said with a shrug acting like it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Alright, let's go." JJ piped up not about to sit around while his friend is in danger. "How the hell are we going to get there?" Pope asked the reasonable question. Rafe and Sarah looked at each other smirking. "Ward's private jet." They all went their separate ways packing and Sarah was of course able to get Ward to give her the plane. They all met up at the plane and loaded their things before starting their journey to California.
You had arrived at Beacon Hills four hours later texting Scott saying he was back at home and that Mom was at work. You entered the house, and Scott instantly wrapped you in his arms. "I've missed you." You whispered into his shoulder hugging him tightly. "I've missed you too." You felt him smile against your head. You guys pulled away and you saw Argent, Lydia, and Derek standing in the kitchen. You hugged all of them then all sat around discovering that you, Scott, Lydia, and Argent have been having the same nightmare/vision about Allison.
"We gotta save Allison," Scott said and you all agreed and found the ritual that you all had to do to help her. You, Scott, Lydia, and Malia made your way into the forest during the night heading to the Nemeton to perform the ritual to break her free. You guys started walking away when nothing started to happen but as you started walking you heard the tree start crackling and when you turned around the stump was glowing and soon enough a naked Allison was laying on the tree stump unconscious. You rushed her to the hospital, your mom getting her into a room.
When Allison woke up she snuck out of her room and you all split up to try and find her but she kicked your asses each time someone got a hold of her. She left the hospital while you and Scott ran into Argent and Deacon. You all looked at each other and ran after Allison but she was already gone. "She didn't recognize me," Argent said and Scott agreed. "She was expecting me to say my last name was.." "Hale." Scott and Argent said at the same time. "We need to find Derek." You said looking at Scott and both of you got in his truck using your senses to find him.
"We need to find Derek. Now." You and Scott were able to track him to the high school to see Liam and Hikari standing over Derek ready to fight Allison who was holding her crossbow but ran.
"Go after her, I got Derek." You said heading over to him ripping off a part of your shirt to place on his neck trying to slow and stop the blood. "Eli- find Eli." Derek choked out and you looked up at Liam. "Find him." You told Liam and him and his girlfriend ran off leaving you with Derek. "Stop talking. I got you." You were able to drag him to the car but as soon as you got him in arrows were shot into the tires. You turned around to see Allison walking towards you her crossbow raised at you.
You put your hands up in defense not wanting to have to fight Allison. The Pogues and Rafe tracked your location to the high school and hid in the bushes when seeing you exit the building but to their surprise, you weren't alone. "What the fuck?" Kie gasped when seeing you were carrying someone who was missing a piece of their throat. They watched as you loaded the mystery man into a truck and as a brunette shot the tires and was stalking toward you. "I just want Derek Hale," Allison stated holding her crossbow at your head and you shook your head. "You're not getting him." "Looks like I'll just have to kill you for him."
You knew if Derek didn't get help soon his chance of surviving was low. Allison shot an arrow at you and you caught it throwing it on the ground. She throws her crossbow on the ground grabs her knives and runs toward you swinging at you but you duck and dodge every swing she took at you trying not to fight her. Sheriff Stilinski pulled up and you yelled at him to get Derek in the back of the cop car and take him to the old loft. "Why does that look exactly like Allison?" Sheriff yelled as he and Mason dragged Derek out of the truck and you kept Allison away. "Because it is Allison!" Sheriff's mouth dropped but he knew he didn't have time to talk to you about it at the moment.
Rafe's mouth dropped when hearing you say that because just two days ago you told him that Allison was dead. That she died for you and here he was witnessing you fighting her. Allison cut your knee making you fall and she was about to stab you until Scott ran over and tackled her. "Go with Derek. I got this." You nodded climbing into the car and speeding off. The Pogues left when you left and found a little motel to stay at for the time being. "Okay, so there's a lot to unpack from what we just saw." John B said and everyone nodded never being so confused in their lives.
"T-That girl is supposed to be dead," Rafe said sitting on the bed and running his hands over his buzzcut. "How do you know?" JJ looked at him suspiciously. "The other night Y/N had a nightmare and was screaming 'Allison' in her sleep. When I woke her up she said Allison was her best friend and that she died for Y/N. She pushed Y/N out of the way of something and she got killed." "Well, she looked pretty alive to me," Cleo said making Rafe roll his eyes, he didn't know how that girl was alive but he knew she was supposed to be dead.

Be At Rest (Both Soul and Body)
Furina barely, if ever, caught Wanderer sleeping. He was always on the move, often whizzing by in a blue and white blur - or simply blending in with the crowds in Sumeru, allowing himself to sink into the sea of people around him.
So when she found him resting in the forest with a rather rotund bird on his head, the sight had her speechless for a good few moments. Not wanting to disturb his peace, Furina tiptoed closer and sat next to him as quietly as possible, folding her hands over her lap as she observed the sky- the clouds drifted lazily overhead, and she found herself relaxing, the air calm and warm. Looking back over to her companion, Furina wondered if he was truly sleeping, or just resting. Curious, she lifted a finger and gently poked his cheek, and an indigo eye opened instantly.
"What," he said, voice heavy with weariness.
"Were you sleeping?"
And just like that, the slight irritation she'd come to know shone through in his gaze. "I was TRYING to. Before somebody decided to bother me."
"..ah, sorry. I can lea-"
"I didn't ask you to go," he went on, closing his eye again and shifting so he was on his back. "As long as you stay quiet, it's fine." He folded his hands over his belly then, sighing, and Furina couldn't help but giggle - he looked like a little tired old man, and he acted about as crabby as one sometimes too, honestly. "The hell is so funny?"
"You look like a little old man," the white haired girl grinned, more giggles bubbling out of her, and the offense on Wanderer's face was palpable.
"I do not."
"You act like one, too. Crabby little guy who pretends he doesn't like anyone -"
"I don't pretend not to like people," he countered.
"..okay, but you do care a lot more than you let on."
".. I didn't know this was a character evaluation," Wanderer deadpanned, but the way his voice softened let Furina know she wasn't far off track.
"S'not a bad thing to care, you know."
A pause.
".. I know. A heart is a very heavy burden to carry though, sometimes. Almost too heavy."
"I think that's what makes us human though," the girl replied gently, also shifting so she was laying a few feet away from the young man. "The weight of - feeling, of loving, and holding things dear to us, and hurting when they're gone- that's a part of living."
"..hm."
"And yeah, hearts are a very heavy burden. But you don't have to carry it alone, either. Remember that." Furina looked up to the sky again, folding her hands over her breast, and Wanderer looked to her briefly with an unreadable (but visibly softer) expression before closing his eyes once more. A comfortable silence fell, and the warmth of the sun had Furina taken by slumber before she knew it.
When she woke up, the stars had already started to twinkle in the sky, and the girl sat up, slightly discombobulated. Sniffling, she rubbed at her eyes to wipe away her weariness, and then froze in her tracks when something akin to a sob broke the silence. For a moment, she thought she had imagined it, but then it came again, louder, and she turned to her companion, crawling over on her hands and knees. "Wanderer...?"
He didn't answer, but the tears rolling down his cheeks told her everything she needed to know. "Oh..." Furina's heart clenched, and she gently placed a hand to his back. "Hey ..hey, it's okay, it's just a dream, you're alright." Carefully, she reached out her free hand and patted him gently on the cheek, hoping to rouse him- if he was crying, his nightmare must be something awful. "Come on. Wake up."
Wanderer stirred, but did not wake, and to her shock, he began to mumble in his slumber:
"Please don't leave...don't leave me behind...."
"I'm not going anywhere," Furina assured.
"Mother," Wanderer begged, tears falling faster. "I'll do anything, just don't leave me here alone -"
Oh.
"Wake up," Furina pleaded, shaking him harder, and he did, taking a sharp gasp and settling into raggedly breathing. Wanderer looked around frantically, not quite awake yet, and she took his hand, to ground him. "You're okay. It was just a dream, it's alright -" the young man stiffened once he seemed to realize she was there, freezing up like a startled cat who had just been cornered.
"What - what are you doing here?" he breathed, chest heaving, and she frowned.
"We were just hanging out and I fell asleep and I guess you did too, and when I woke up, you were crying...are you going to be okay?"
"I have no choice," he mumbled, placing an arm over his face, and Furina shook her head, slowly.
"That's not true. It's okay to not be okay."
"Not for me."
"Why not?"
"Because -" he trailed off then, pulling his hand away from the girl, and she let him. ".. because I just - I just have to be. Okay?"
"It doesn't make you weak, you know. Do you think I would be weak if I wasn't okay?"
"..that's different -"
"Why?"
"Because you're human-"
"So what? You think beings that aren't human just have to be these immovable pillars of stability? You feel, just like I do. You have hopes and dreams, and fears, just like I do. You've experienced so many different aspects of life. Maybe- maybe people treated you like you weren't human, but that doesn't mean you aren't, you know. I mean, weren't you saying earlier a heart's a heavy burden? That's part of being human. Sometimes we feel weak and like we're all alone, but - even when we do feel that way, people care."
".. I don't know why they do."
"Do they need a reason to?" Furina challenged gently, tilting her head. "Love never needs a reason. It's just there, regardless of who you are, where you've been, where you're going, what you have done and what you will do. That's what makes it so beautiful. It's always there."
"..then why-"
"??"
"...no, forget about it. I don't want to talk about it."
"Alright. I won't push you."
"Even if you did, I wouldn't talk."
"I know, I just -"
"I understand what you're trying to say," he mumbled, sniffling. "...thanks."
"Is there anything I can do? Do you want me to leave?"
"I- I don't know. I don't know," Wanderer replied, almost inaudibly, and she nodded. And then, all of a sudden, he got up and made his way over to the lake nearby, sitting in the water so he was waist deep. He looked awfully small without his hat, Furina realized. Maybe that was why he wore it all the time.
"Come here," he beckoned, and she stared, in confusion.
"Huh?"
"Come here," he repeated, stronger this time. "You wanted to know how you can help me, right? Come sit. Just- I don't know. I don't want to be alone right now, weird as that is."
"Okay," she nodded, making herself comfortable in the water next to him. Minutes passed with Wanderer sitting rigidly, and then suddenly he hissed, clenching at his chest so hard his hands made wrinkles in the fabric.
"Wh- what's the matter?" Furina cried, eyes wide with alarm, and Wanderer shook his head, eyes glossy.
"Hurts. But it shouldn't, I -"
"Look, I don't know what you saw in your dream, but it's clear it's hurting you more than you want to admit. . will ..will the pain pass?"
"It usually does."
"...is it okay if I hold your hand until then?"
For a long moment, he did not speak, and Furina half expected him to say no. But then he shakily removed one of his hands from his chest and linked it with Furina's gloved one, and she paused. "..wait a moment." The ivory haired girl removed her glove then, holding Wanderer's hand with her bare one. His was cool and very smooth, like porcelain, and hers was warm and soft. The contrast was nice, she mused, noting sadly how her friend's hands trembled.
".. please don't tell anyone about this."
"I won't," Furina smiled. "I got 500 years worth of experience in keeping secrets, so no need to worry~" Wanderer sent her the most withering gaze at that, and she startled. "..what?"
"That's not funny," he mumbled, expression sullen. "Your pain, and everything you went through - you shouldn't make fun of it like that."
"Oh," she replied, heart dropping to her feet in shock. "I was just trying to -"
"I know what you were trying to do. Please don't do it at your expense. It isn't helping anyone feel better."
"..okay."
"Good."
A pause.
".. did I say anything weird? When I was sleeping?"
"..you were calling for your mother."
Wanderer stiffened, pain streaking across his face. ".. I see. Ridiculous of me." Furina did not push, but he looked to her, reading the question in her eyes. "..she hasn't been a part of my life for years now, so there's no reason to feel like this."
"..isn't that all the more reason to miss her? If she hasn't been there?"
"Not if she wasn't a good mother," he muttered, eyes dark. "I don't need her anymore."
"People can hurt you and you can still miss them, Wanderer. Those things don't have to be mutually exclusive. I don't - know what all happened so I'm not saying you need to forgive her or let her back in your life, but it's okay to miss her. It's ..okay to mourn what could have been," Furina ventured, looking to the water. "We were meant to be loved and cared for and when we're not, it- it hurts a lot, and it's not weak to be hurt. It's not weak to feel that hole in your heart."
"..it feels that way."
"..yeah. I understand. But I promise you're not weak."
The moon hung high in the sky before he spoke again. "..if nothing else, my life is my own now."
"That it is. You can do whatever you want with it."
"How do you just - seem to know what to say all the time?"
"I don't always, but... I often just speak from my heart. It's hardly led me astray."
"Hm. ...you should get some sleep."
"Will you be okay?"
".. I don't know," he admitted. "I'm.. getting there, though."
"That's good, that's good."
"I don't think I'll be going back to sleep, so just. Don't bother waiting up for me. I may go for a walk to clear my head."
".. alright. Please be safe."
"There isn't much that can hurt me, but I appreciate the concern."
"I know, but-"
"But you still worry."
"Because I care."
"..mhm."
"That's what friends do."
Wanderer turned his head, almost owlishly. "..what?"
"Am I wrong?"
"Well, no, but- you said -"
"That you're my friend, yes," Furina asserted, and he stared, bewildered. "You're nice to me, and you don't mind- well, who I am, yanno? You gotta keep those people close to you."
".. I guess so. I don't think I'm a very good choice, but- if that's what you want."
"It is."
".... okay."
She wasn't sure, but Furina could have sworn Wanderer was smiling a little when she fell asleep.
..of course, he vehemently denied it the next morning.

(ignore the fact I straight up forgot I had tumblr and pretend I don't disapear regularly)
You've seen the season 5 trailer, I've seen the season 5 trailer, you know my brain is instinctively rotting with no regard to my own health so lets cut to the chase on a run down of said trailer and what the hell I think is going on in it!! Plz excuse the low quality images and if you don't want to see anything from the trailer do not open this next part <3
Tumblr media
Something big is coming. Initially my mind went to potential kid at button house but the rest of the trailer kind of had me leaning elsewhere to the idea of them having to move? I'll go into more detail but either or of them feel like they could fit for "life changing" as both having a kid and moving houses are massive steps in life. I'm kind of hoping for the former because there could be a really cute story line there but also the latter is where I'm placing most my bets.
Tumblr media
BARCLEY! MY LEAST FAVOURITE AND FAVOURITE GUY AT THE EXACT SAME TIME! I HATE EVERYTHING HE DOES IN A GOOD WAY! No but seriously, Maybe something happens to him and he sees ghosts? Or maybe he just goes snooping a little too much and gets trapped. If so I'd love it if the ghosts tried to mess with him to get him out and we could get a little Jemima back! Though I'm not sure how old her actress is now so it might now work :|
Tumblr media
U good Thomas?
Tumblr media
I'm feeling like if Cap's backstory is explored here this could be Pat picking fun at him a little on something related to said backstory? Not necessarily but something along those lines. There isn't a lot of context attached to this but I'm kind of hoping it's something like that. It could be nothing though, this line could have been in any season and I would believe you, it is a very them moment. Maybe though its a little exploration of the Cap's sexuality though? I don't personally think he needs one, I think it's better as it is, making it clear that a LGBT character doesn't need to have a whole coming out scene or anything like that to make them valid, more characters who are gay rather than gay characters. I think I've ranted about that before though and how Cap is the kind of rep I want. If it is something like that though, I don't mind, I still love a good bit of rep!
Tumblr media
I mean it is what it says on the tin. They are being investigated for the claims regarding the fire. Thus triggers various theories for me, mostly surrounding the fact that that will not go in their favour and will cause financial difficulty but whatever, these claims will control and be the main plot of this series, like how running the guest house was a focus of series 4.
Tumblr media
Not entirely sure? Maybe something associated with the previous thing of the fire but whatever it is if it is to do with the fire then maybe some sort of lawsuit is placed against them? MAybe it's assumed that they started the fire on purpose to claim off of it and they're forced to gather money to pay back some kind of fine? I'm not sure of those legalities but it could work and could lead to an ending of them being forced to leave for financial difficulties. On that maybe it's to do with the loans from season 1 that Mike took out and they simply ran short of cash for paying it back. Regardless, it wouldn't be so significant in the trailer if it wasn't important for the series (probably)
Tumblr media
... I'm not happy about this but also I am. The clothes, the room dress, this just is a Kitty flashback. Hey maybe it could be Thomas but it couldn't be anyone later. I don't know when the pineapple became more popularised but everyone's shocked, Kitty was shocked at the concept of a pineapple in earlier seasons and just look at what she is wearing. Whatever episode this is in, this has to be the episode where we find out how Kitty dies.
Tumblr media
IDK BUT LOOK AT THIS INCREADIBLE SCREENSHOT I TOOK HE LOOKS DEMONIC
Tumblr media
Same to the Kitty point. This has got to be Cap dying. Even if it isn't it's a little bit of backstory because he has his lil hat on! I can't read the signs so I am likely missing a huge context lump but the sumary of it's his backstory stuff I think covers the most part. This too will likely shatter my entire soul
Tumblr media
Oh boy that's gonna be a stinger. It looks like older decor in a way so could be a flashback to when older ghosts and Robins friends got sucked off (chance for a little Mary appearance??? PLeaSE) but also the floor (maybe because of the low quality) looks kind of dusty and leafy which likely means nothing but to me it associates with the current disrepair Button house is supposed to be in? That is likely (and hopefully) me reading too much into things but if so, I'm going to bawl either way. Regardless, we will see someone else move on, mostly clear due to what Robin was saying over the top (Something like "There is battle to when one of us go whoomf")
Tumblr media
Maybe about Alison and Mike leaving? He's trying to lighten the mood? Or talking about peoples deaths? I know lots of people have said Caps death is probably going to be something very silly and if so this would be a likely appropriate response. Or its him talking about his own death and is one of those things trailers do to make them more editable for adverts as it is the last season, going out with a bang is an appropriate little phrase for them to snip in.
Tumblr media
I'm absolutely stuck on this theory that Alison and Mike will be forced to leave Button house at this point, hence Kitty's reaction which would be pretty appropriate, 'nough said.
Tumblr media
This feels significant. Like REALLLLLY significant and I can't figure out why. Maybe the framing? I have no clue but currently thinking if it is forced to leave, they had until midnight on a specific day to pay money or if not, maybe the time that the captain died? Maybe he died after being attacked or something while wandering around Button house at midnight and Alison finds out after finding him sleepwalking around the house which he has always done but she's never noticed before. Like how Fanny always throws herself out the window. It would work as well because of the time difference as that clock I believe is about 4 hours behind so if he died at midnight then he'd be walking around at about 4 which would be a bit late for people to be up (ordinarily)
Tumblr media
Nothing really to add, just reiterating that they all look pretty crushed and defeated in this screenshot - throwing hands at one theory AGAIN
Sorry for how long this was but in summary: I think the gate house burning will cause massive financial problems for Alison and Mike and they will spend the entire season trying to fix these problem but be unsuccessful. We know how heart-breaking this show can be after all. It would lead to a very tragic but very round ending where Alison and Mike are forced to leave via financial difficulties and they are forced to say goodbye to the ghosts and there could be a heart-breaking scene as they pull away and the ghosts run after the car like children following their parents down the road. The though crushes me a little but I feel like the most logical ending is that they have to leave. If that is how it ends though I think the last line should go to Julian awkwardly standing there as everyone's sobbing and he just kind of goes "... Now what?" I don't know why, I just think it would be funny :D

september 10
gabe had told the girl twice now that he doesn't give up, and he is staying true to his word.
if she wanted to play hard to get, he would play her game, even harder than she was.
when he got dressed this morning, he made sure not to wear anything hockey related
distract her mind
make her not think about the fact that you're an athlete who's apparently going to screw her over
although he wasn't. that wasn't his plan in the beginning, and that sure as hell wasn't his plan now.
why would he be trying so hard with her if he was only going to mess it up?
and that is why he kept on trying. he thought if he continued to prove to her he was serious, she would change her mind.
however, it might have to wait, because when he walked into the coffee shop he didn't see her.
he looked around for a moment, his eyes darting every which way, hoping to see her.
he was about to accept that she wasn't there today and leave, when she walked into his eyesight.
she had some sort of iced drink in her hand that she set down on the end of the counter before leaning on it and going on her phone
she seemed to be on break, perfect. no distractions.
taking a breath, he walked up to her.
she was sipping her drink, and her eyes looked up from her phone as she felt a presence approaching, keeping her lips around the straw
she raised her eyebrows, giving gabe a 'really?' look when she saw him
"good timing." she said, releasing the straw from her mouth. "my break ends in 5 minutes."
gabe grinned, "well that's 5 minutes to chat with no customers behind me in line."
"hmm" she hummed, squinting her eyes at him. "you know i'm glad you showed up actually."
gabes heart sped up when she said that
"you are?" he asked, smiling slightly.
"mmhmm," she smiled. "a couple of girls came in yesterday when some of your teammates were sitting at a table over there, and they were freaking out."
she stood up from her leaning position on the counter
"oh my gosh, look who's over there!" she began to mock the girls. "it's the hockey team!" she put her hands on her cheeks, acting shocked.
gabe laughed at her impression
"yeah, this went on for quite a bit. it was pretty entertaining to watch." she said
"but anyways, made me think of you."
gabe grinned
"so now you're thinking about me?" he asked
she nodded her head up and down
"yep, i was about to go over to the girls and let them know i have the PERFECT guy for them!"
gabes grin fell
"oh ha ha" gabe sarcastically said
"yeah, so, next time they come in i'll put a good word in for you, how's that sound?" she asked, smiling
gabe however, was not smiling.
he shakes his head as he says, "no thanks, i'll pass."
the girl quirked her eyebrows up, "wow, you sure? i'd be happy to set you up." she sarcastically says
"i'm sure, no interest in going out with any of them. if you however want to go out then i would be up for that!"
she hums in response, pretending to think for a moment
"nah, i'll let you take one of them out." she starts, grinning at gabe who is blankly staring back at her. "hey, they were pretty!"
"and you're very pretty."
the girl is a bit taken aback at his sudden compliment
she couldn't help but smile, yet she tried so hard to hide it.
"flattering will get you nowhere."
gabes lips tug up slightly
"that's fine, i have more tricks up my sleeve."
the girl rolls her eyes slightly at his response
"i've gotta get back to work.." she says as she slides her phone in her back pocket and picks her drink up
"you didn't say no.." gabe says before she can walk away.
the girl spins on her heel, fully facing gabe.
"okay, no!"
she says that with a huge grin on her face, humor laced in her voice
gabe couldn't help but laugh and shake his head at her response
"guess i'll be trying again."
