Pumpkin Ginger Cupcakes These ginger cupcakes are delicious, light, and fluffy. They taste of fall, and the crystallized ginger gives them a lovely little zing. Even people who don't like pumpkin love these cupcakes. These disappear as fast as I can set them out.

could i ask for headcanons of what petnames / endearments the Weasleys like to be called by their significant other 😄
thank you if you do! and thanks anyways for reading this even if you don't 😊
Oh my god this is so adorable yes yes yes yes yes-! The flip side of what the Weasley call you. Now THEY must be attacked with the affection mwhaahahah!!!!
Nick Names The Weasley Siblings Like To Be called By
William ‘Bill’
Tumblr media
His siblings, and the goblins at the bank, get to give him little wolf inspired nick names. Anyone else will be stabbed. But you are the exception to the rule. He won’t lie. He always gets flustered whenever you call him “Mr. Wolf” all teasingly, in a sing song tone. What gets him red in the face is you calling him “Red Riding Hood-“ Tho. As a flip of the script, and also the fact he’s a red head. That’s the only nick name you are blessed with saying. Calling him Red, Big Red Wolf, and other teasing nick names of that nature. Maybe the Weasley twins, on a good day, but you are his little fairy tale.
Charlie
Tumblr media
He’s the playboy type, so you calling him Big Boy is a winner. Daddy to. That’s one way to get his engine going real fast. He does have a nick name he likes that you are only allowed to say, and not infront of company. Amber. He likes the nick name amber. A cute play on the fact many dragons of hoards, and a compliment to his ginger hair. Makes him feel like he’s precious. Big guys deserve to feel soft.
Percy
Tumblr media
He’s not really one for nicknames. It feels childish to him. He has an image to uphold. He’s always trying to act like he’s the exception and what everyone aspires to be. Doesn’t help Molly fed that idea to him. Still, what gets him to flush will be those cheesey wifey names. Calling him Pumpkin, Honey, Dear, Darling. The classics. Hey, his nose is always in books. He’s got that hopeless romantic in him.
Fred
Tumblr media
Freddy, kinda a given. A names branching off that. It’s simple and classic. But everyone does that. Like Charlie, he’s a sucker for the Big Boy comments. His real heart stopper, though, gotta be Boss/Bossman. Bossman in the playful tone, and Boss for the…You know what tone. What can he say? It feels good to be in charge.
George
Tumblr media
Similar to Fred. Georgie though gets to him a lot. He loved being called Georgie. Along with very sugary names. Like Pumpkin, Sugar, Cupcake, Sweetie, stuff like that. He’s adorable like that. He loves flirty nick names. He just loves it. Call him Teddy Bear, and he’s puddy in your arms. Since he loves hugs and cuddles.
Ron
Tumblr media
Ever since his sixth year at Hogwarts, he’s kinda not the most excited by nicknames. Can you blame him? He LITERALLY got drugged. Bro. There is an exception, though. It sounds egotistical, but it really isn’t. He loves when you call him “My Hero.” He doesn’t really feel appreciated or as loved as the others. He deserves to feel special. He’s not smart like Hermione, special like Harry, and don’t get him started on his siblings. Make him feel special. He deserves it.
Ginny
Tumblr media
She has a weird thing about her femmnity. Not because she was raised by brothers. Just that she is excepted to be femmine, and gets called a pick me for not being it. So Nick names are very but it miss. Her siblings get a pass, but still. You gotta find that special one. You took notice how her siblings did dumb names. Like to make fun of the act of Nick names. Such as Gin Gin, Ginger Ale. Stuff like that. So, one day, you called her your “EnerGinny Drink-“ She laughed so hard she fell off her broom. Now you have an inside joke that her nick name is “Energy.” Only the twins figured it out, but are bros and keep hushed. So you two can have your special inside joke.

Pumpkin Cupcakes Feel-Good Abundance Spell Recipe
Yes yes yes, I know it's still summer and autumn is a loooong way away, but damnit, sometimes I want to call forth my Inner White Girl and indulge in pumpkin spice! Well, luckily for me (and for you!), I have a perfect recipe for you - because not only is it a dozen pumpkin spice mini cakes, but also a feel-good and abundance spell. So here's my abundance spell recipe - complete with cream cheese frosting and DIY pumpkin spice mix! So, without further ado, here we go!
What you'll need:
Pumpkin pie spice:
3 tablespoons ground cinnamon (adds power to the spell, prosperity, success)
2 teaspoons ground ginger (adds strength to the spell)
2 teaspoons ground nutmeg (money)
1 teaspoon ground allspice (money, luck)
1 teaspoon ground cloves (success)
Bowl
Spoon, fork, or whisk
Cakes:
2 eggs
1 1/4 cups granulated sugar (banishes negativity)
3/4 cup melted butter (enhances peacefulness)
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice (abundance)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (self-love)
1/4 teaspoon salt (protection, grounding)
Cupcake liners (I like these! Unbleached, chlorine-free)
Wire rack (optional)
Whisk, hand mixer, or stand mixer
Large mixing bowl
Cream cheese frosting:
1/2 cup softened butter (enhances peacefulness)
8 ounces softened cream cheese (meeting goals)
4 1/2 cups powdered sugar (banishes negativity)
splash of vanilla extract (self-love)
Large mixing bowl
Hand mixer, or stand mixer (trust me, you'll want a hand or stand mixer for this)
Piping bags (optional)
What you'll do:
Pumpkin pie spice:
Add all ingredients into a bowl
Mix mix mix
All done!
Cakes:
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees (F) and line a 12-cup muffin baking pan with paper liners
Place the wet ingredients (eggs, sugar, pumpkin puree, and butter) in a bowl or stand mixer bowl. Whisk or mix until smooth.
Add the dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract, and salt) to the bowl. Stir until just combined.
Divide the batter among the 12 muffin cups.
Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until just browned and a toothpick inserted in the center of a cupcake comes out clean. A chopstick also works but leaves a bigger hole. Don't worry, you can cover it up with frosting.
Cool for a few minutes in the pan on the wire rack, then transfer the cupcakes to the wire rack to cool completely. Don't frost until the cupcakes are completely cool!
Cream cheese frosting:
Put the butter and cream cheese in the bowl of a mixer or a mixing bowl and mix until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
Add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, and mix on low speed until combined. Add the vanilla extract and mix for a minute.
If the frosting is too thick, add 1 teaspoon of milk at a time until desired consistency is reached. You can use any kind of milk, but I don't recommend soy.
Optionally, you can put the frosting in a piping bag and pipe the frosting on the cupcakes. Or you can just dollop it on with a spoon. Or, if you're like a monster like me, you can put a cupcake in a bowl and scoop in some frosting with it. Oh who am I kidding, I mash it all up together like an ungodly goop...
I know it's a long post, but I promise it's actually quite easy! And delicious. Very, very delicious.
As always, practice safely, do your research, and blessed be!
Support your local witch on Ko-Fi!

Mainly for me, cause I couldn’t find a good list! (But if you like this, I will write headcanons about Pokémon character scents.👀)
I’ll probably come back to add more in the future.
ALSO! No scent is strictly ‘omega, beta, alpha’ but I will be moving some scents to the ‘distressed scent’ category, as I’ve felt people over look that.
ALSO! There is no canon for the omegaverse, tropes aside, you can do whatever you want with it. This is mainly just my roll with it.

Distressed scents! These are scents that are suppose to be attention grabbing, to let others know they are upset, in pain, or being hurt.
It’s suppose to grab other’s attention for help.

TxT | Halloween with them🎃
Soobin
Matching carved pumpkins😩
He makes fun of how bad your carving is
But his is even worse💀💀💀
Dressing up like ghosts but it’s just a sheet with holes in it
GINGER SOOB MAKES A COMEBACK
He loves sweets so he might steal all your candy lmao
He would tap your shoulder and take it when you’re not looking
You’d drag him to a haunted house only for him to not go in
So then you sit outside and just listen to the people scream inside
Yeonjun
He would try to have a sexy costume with you but really y’all would probably look dumb 💀
OBVIOUSLY GOING TO A HAUNTED HOUSE BC HE JUST LOVES THEM SO MUCH
jk he would almost die when people jump out
Screams the whole time
“Nope nope nope nope-“ and closing his eyes
But you’re doing the same lol you barely make it out
“I am never listening to you again”
You two would also look up cute Halloween recipes like brownies that look like ghosts or something
And then you’d get drunk and eat all the brownies
Beomgyu
Funny af costumes
But yet Beomgyu still thinks you look hot af ???
Another candy stealer
But doesn’t even try to hide it
Gets to the point you smack his hand and/or throw the candy far away
And then he gets dramatic and :O
You guys would end up not getting home until like 4 am
Also get a feeling Beomgyu would want one of those pumpkin heads where people actually carve the pumpkin and wear it on their head
And then try to kiss you with it
But it falls off and breaks 💀
Taehyun
He probably wouldn’t wanna dress up unless you do tbh
Will still eat ur candy tho
Most likely gonna end up watching scary movies all evening
And make Halloween themed cupcakes!!!
If you’re a person that gets super excited about Halloween and decorating for it, he’s gonna think you’re so adorable
Might try to plant a fake spider to scare you
HueningKai
You guys would dress up as like cartoon characters or something
You would go to a pumpkin patch
And do like a hayride and a corn maze :,)
Kissing when you get lost in a dead end
Probably eating every single piece of candy you got that night the second you get home
Tries to scare you by jumping out of corners all the time
Which works
Kai is gonna pass out before midnight LMAO so then ur just kind of alone watching movies while he’s passed out next to you

Vanilla Chai Pumpkin Latte Cupcakes with Cinnamon Brown Sugar Frosting
Prep Time: 30 MINUTES Cook Time: 20 MINUTES Total Time: 50 MINUTES
Ingredients
Chai Spice
4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon all-spice
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/3 cup granulated sugar
Pumpkin Chai Cupcakes
1/2 cup melted coconut oil (melted butter or canola can be used)
3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs, at room temperature
1 1/2 cups pumpkin puree
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
Brown Sugar Frosting
8 tablespoons salted butter, at room temperature
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Instructions
To make the chai spice. In a shallow bowl, combine the cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, nutmeg, all-spice, cloves, and pepper. Divide the mix in half. Mix one-half of the spice blend with the granulated sugar and set aside for topping the cupcakes. Reserve the remaining chai spice blend for the cupcake batter.
To make the cupcakes. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line 16 cupcake molds with paper liners.
In the bowl of a stand mixer (or use a hand-held mixer), beat together the coconut oil, brown sugar, vanilla, eggs, and pumpkin until combined. Add flour, baking powder, soda, salt, and chai spice. Mix until smooth, and no lumps remain in the batter.
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared pan. Transfer to the oven and bake for 18-22 minutes, until the tops are just set and no longer wiggly in the center. Remove and let cool.
To make the frosting, melt 2 tablespoons of butter, cream, and brown sugar in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook for one minute or until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat and add to the bowl of a stand mixer. Place the bowl in the freezer (or fridge for longer) for 15-20 minutes or until cool to touch.
Grab the cooled butter mixture from the freezer and add the remaining 6 tablespoons of butter, vanilla, and powdered sugar to the bowl. Beat until well combined.
Frost each cupcake and sprinkle with chai sugar. Add cinnamon sticks, if desired.

fluffy goodecox hcs pls 🥺
RIGHT i’m assuming (hoping) you’re referring to goodecox au bc i literally have a whole doc just for hcs but these are my fave fluffy ones (per usual i’m putting in a cut bc i cannot control myself)
🥐 jackie lives in the apartment above her café — she lived there while she was studying, before the café was hers, and worked there when she could before she took it over. her and gigi eventually move into a brownstone with a fireplace because gigi struggles with the cold weather
🥐 it took jackie months to teach gigi how to make a ‘real’ coffee. for the longest time gigi burnt the milk and jackie thought everything tasted like dirt, but she finally got the hang of it, and gigi makes them coffees most mornings
🥐 gigi is always the first taste tester for new recipes that jackie comes up with. the biggest hit to date is the seasonal psl croissants — and now there’s always dough in the freezer in case gigi craves one in march
🥐 their cat’s name is pumpkin, she’s a teeny, affectionate little ginger cat
🥐 gigi likes to bake for fun. when they lived above the café jackie would always find gigi baking cupcakes and little treats at like 3am before the staff show up. jackie and nicky teach her to pipe and do decorative icing and now every now and again they sell gigi’s creations
🥐 gigi is the passenger princess and spotify playlist curator, jackie is the driver. they have an automatic car so they can hold hands or so jackie can have a hand on gigi’s thigh
🥐 gigi’s love language is physical touch, and jackie dedicates herself to making sure gigi’s needs feel met. they touch when driving, sleep with their legs intertwined, sit with tangled limbs on opposite sides of the couch — they always have some sort of touch going on
🥐 jackie’s love language is quality time. they watch bake off together routinely, have date nights that don’t involve each other’s work, have quiet self-care nights that include a bottle of wine and a bubble bath — gigi makes sure jackie is always feeling as loved as jackie makes her feel
🥐 they agree quite early on that gigi will be the one to propose. jackie hates surprises, so she starts getting really on edge when she knows the time is near, thinking every moment is ✨the✨ moment, but she bawls her fucking eyes out when it actually happens

Bo’s Favorite Pumpkin Bread
In my Bo Sinclair fic “Didn’t Your Momma Ever Tell you not to Talk to Strangers?” The Reader bakes him a special pumpkin bread that he sort of fixates on. If anyone’s actually curious about the recipe, here it is.
Tumblr media
Dry Ingredients
• 2 Cups All Purpose Flour (240grams)
• 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
• 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
• 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
• 2 Teaspoons Cinnamon
• 1 Teaspoon Ginger
Wet Ingredients
• 1/2 Cup Butter (One Stick)
• 1/4 Cup Applesauce
• 1 Cup Brown Sugar (200grams), I prefer dark. If using light, replace all sugar in recipe with light brown sugar.
• 1/2 Cup Sugar (100grams)
• 2 Large Eggs
• 1 Tablespoon Vanilla
• 1 (15oz) Can of Pumpkin. If using fresh pumpkin, blot away some of the moisture before weighing it out.
Add Ins/Toppings
• At least 1/2 Cup of Mini Semisweet/Dark Chocolate Chips. Must be Mini, measure with your heart. They WILL stay Melty—I was not kidding when I write that in the fic—this is one of my signature baked goods for a REASON.
• If you’re baking these as muffins or divided into two loaf pans, sprinkle the top with cinnamon sugar for a pretty and tasty crust. If you’re baking them in a Bundt pan don’t bother, because you’ll be turning the cake out anyway.
Instructions (Alternate Cooking instructions if making Muffins—mixing instructions are the same)
• Preheat oven to 325(F)
• Line or Spray your pan of choice (Two Loaf Pans, One Bundt Pan, or Cupcake tins are my favorite)
• Whisk dry ingredients together in a medium bowl, set aside
• Cream butter and sugar together in a large bowl
• Beat in applesauce and vanilla
• Beat in one egg at a time
• Beat in pumpkin(it WILL look gritty and weird, this is normal)
• Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet until uniform (Batter will taste weirdly like toasted marshmallows at this point)
• Fold in chocolate chips
• Pour batter into pan and bake
• Should take at least an hour, but I’ve had apartments with ovens with WILDLY varying temperatures over the years, so I always check after the first 30 minutes and check every ten until it starts getting close to done (it’s done when a toothpick/knife/whatever you test with comes out with crumbs sticking to it, but no batter. If it comes out completely clean you have overbaked—it will continue to bake slightly from its own heat even after you remove it from the oven, so you want that crumb)
• Give it at least a half an hour to cool before cutting.
Tumblr media
Muffin Baking Instructions
This will ensure that you have the nice bakery style muffins with the big fluffy tops.
• Preheat oven to 425(f)
• fill muffin tins 3/4 of the way full
• refrigerate loaded muffin pan for at least 30 minutes before baking
• put a pan of water in the oven on a rack below your muffins if possible (to create steam)
• bake for 13 minutes before reducing the oven temp to 350(f) and DO NOT OPEN THE OVEN
• bake 7 minutes longer before checking—they may be done now

Pumpkin Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting
Oh my goodness, y’all. I made these for our annual Halloween party a few weeks back and they were SO delicious. Moist, decadent, fluffy, and full of flavor, these pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese frosting are there definition of fall.

Oh my goodness, y’all. I made these for our annual Halloween party a few weeks back (I had some leftover pumpkin from the cinnamon pumpkin bread I made a few days before) and they were SO delicious. Moist, decadent, fluffy, and full of flavor, these pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese frosting are the definition of fall.
Here is the perfect recipe, from livewellbakeoften.com:
Ingredients
1 cup (125 grams) all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup (250 grams) pumpkin puree (NOT pumpkin pie filling)
1/2 cup (120 ml) canola or vegetable oil
1/2 cup (100 grams) light brown sugar , packed
1/4 cup (50 grams) granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
FOR THE CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:
1 (8-ounce) package brick-style cream cheese , softened
1/2 cup (115 grams) unsalted butter , softened
2 cups (240 grams) confectioners sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Line a 12 count muffin pan with cupcake liners and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, and salt. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, oil, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla until fully combined.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
Evenly divide the batter between all 12 cupcake liners and smooth out the tops of each one.
Bake at 350°F (177°C) for 17-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cupcakes comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and cool for 5 minutes in the pan, then carefully remove the cupcakes from the pan and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
TO MAKE THE CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:
Using a handheld mixer, or in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the butter and cream cheese together until smooth.
Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract and mix until fully combined.
Frost the cooled cupcakes as desired.
These would be so perfect for a Thanksgiving gathering or honestly just on a cold fall weekend. Hope you enjoy them as much as we all did!!

Cupcake ingredient substitute
I was making cupcakes and realized we were out of milk, but we did have a partial container of whipping cream (about two-thirds of a cup), so I diluted it with water to get the 1-and-a-quarter cups I needed, and the cupcakes turned out extra smooth and fluffy!
Whipping cream doubles in volume when whipped, so I wonder what adding actual whipped cream would do to the cupcakes ... Cream and water is probably a closer match for milk, though.
It’s a spice cake, so there’s also cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg in it. Throw in ground cloves and allspice and they could be pumpkin spice cupcakes; something to think about for October.
Here’s the full recipe:
Half a cup of margarine or butter (optional substitute: one-quarter cup of margarine with one-quarter cup of either peanut butter, applesauce, mashed banana, crushed pineapple, grated zucchini, or pumpkin purée)
1 cup sugar (you can sift this but you don’t have to)
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs (optionally, put in the egg yolks first, then beat the egg whites and add them when you add the milk)
2 cups flour (you can sift this but you don’t have to)
1-and-a-half teaspoons baking powder
Half a teaspoon baking soda
1 cup powdered cocoa (if making chocolate cake)
For spice cake:
Half a teaspoon ground cinnamon
Quarter teaspoon ground nutmeg
Quarter teaspoon ginger
For pumpkin spice cake, these plus one-quarter teaspoon each of allspice and ground cloves (optionally, reduce the cinnamon in pumpkin spice so every spice is one-quarter teaspoon each)
1-and-a-quarter cups milk (optional substitute: two-thirds cup whipping cream, diluted with water to get the needed volume of liquid)
(This is when you add the egg whites if you separated the eggs)
Grease and flour a cake pan or muffin tin, or use paper muffin wrappers. I find a little more than 1 Tablespoon of batter per muffin cup bakes into a nice size muffin.
Bake at 350 °F (175 °C) for 20 minutes, though it’s a good idea to check it at 18 minutes just in case. It might take 25 or 30 minutes if baking a cake instead of cupcakes.
Spice cakes go nicely with lemon frosting.
Buttercream frosting ratio: for every 1 cup of powdered sugar (also called icing sugar or confectioner’s sugar), include one-quarter cup margarine (or butter, or crisco), one teaspoon of milk, and one-quarter teaspoon vanilla.
4 cups powdered sugar, 1 cup margarine, 1 Tablespoon of milk (3 teaspoons), and 1 teaspoon vanilla is the amount I usually make for a full cake or full batch of cupcakes.
For chocolate frosting, add 1 Tablespoon cocoa powder to start, then increase by the teaspoon until you get the degree of chocolatiness you want.
Add other frosting flavourings, such as lemon juice, one-quarter teaspoon at a time and taste-test.
If icing is too thick, add milk or water, 1 teaspoon at a time.

Why that instead of cakes? Because they're smaller, one serving, and also that "I like you, have a cupcake" audio clip that's been trending. Here we go!

Pumpkin Spice or Apple Cider, which is your fall flavor?
Basic Bitches, we all know them, we may love them. Hell at some point, depending who you ask, I may or may not have been married to one. I will however neither confirm nor deny it, cause MIND YA BIZNASS we not here to talk about me, we are here to talk basic bitches who love them some fall flavors!  Yeah that’s right, It’s September so you know what that means, the secret fight of Pumpkin Spice everything vs Apple Cider Flavoring. Okay there is not really a fight, one is way more popular when anyone thinks fall and I may just be trying to stir the fall flavoring pot but you gave me the spoon so here we go!
Once August hits, you see the stores and chains slowly and sneaky like rolling out the pumpkin spice everything from lattes to cookies and all these basic people just start squealing  “Pumpkin Spice it’s a viiiibbbbeee”.  But here is the thing, IT GOT NOT PUMPKIN IN IT! It’s just a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger and depending on if you want to get whimsical a dash of allspice.   It is literally the mix of spices you add to pumpkin to make pumpkin pie.  With a name like Pumpkin Spice you would think “ Oh there is Pumpkin in there”, but you are wrong, so sit down.   I swear my social media feeds have been dominated by it and it is just annoying. I can’t escape it, I’ve got 6 orders for pumpkin spice flavored items and when I mention adding actual pumpkin they freak out! I’m like so you like the stuff that flavors the fruit but not the fruit itself? And for those of you who did not know that pumpkin is technically classified as a fruit because it starts out from a flower, well I just taught you something so you are welcome!  So don’t get mad at me when you ask for pumpkin spice cookies or cupcakes and I'm like so you just want spice cake. SPICE CAKE people.  Hell let’s add some carrots and call it Carrot cake but we won’t go down that rabbit hole right now, maybe later, remind me okay.  In social media terms It’s like those memes making fun of people who are like “Oh this fireball flavored item is amazing” and someone says “It’s called Cinnamon Brenda.”
I know you ask yourself “But why would a gorgeous and talented baker such as yourself” , and thank you for such kind words, “ be so against it?” I’ll tell you I’m more of a Apple Cider Red Headed Nun myself, and guess what that has actual cider, I mean APPLE, yeah I Said APPLE.  I love the yearly traditions of me and my best friend just going to the orchards picking apples and getting fresh made cider or having a warm out the oven cider muffin.  What makes Apple Cider taste so yummy you ask, well it’s of course the yummy mixture of Apples with cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and allspice. It’s so tasty and very specifically a flavor I think of as fall.  Apple Cider drinks, apple cider donuts, apple cupcakes, hell you can use the mixture to make some yummy Apple Pie even if that floats your boat. Plus you can get hard cider if you are an adult, and drink responsibly people.
What’s the face for? Yes, I’m talking to you, the one standing there with the smug face thinking “Those Spices are the same” And you would be wrong so shut up.  One, the actual fruit was used, and B did you see me mention ginger, nope, so totally different! In fact my best friend, a genius six year old many of you know as Lord Little Man, agrees with me and whatever he says is fact and will stand in any court of law.
I could go all day about this but I got some apples waiting to be stuffed, yeah I said stuffed. So let me ask you, what side are you one?  Pumpkin Spice or Apple Cider? And If I see you say that you like Apple Pie Spice items, well I’m just gonna throw a cupcake at your head. Ask James, it happens.

Yvonne’s Vegan Kitchen, 11 W Dayton St, Pasadena, CA 91105
Tumblr media
I remember seeing Yvonne’s Vegan Kitchen cookies and treats at Yoga-urt years ago, but I hadn’t tried any of her baked goods till I visited the shop in Old Town Pasadena. Yvonne’s is a gluten-free AND vegan bakery. All items are vegan and gluten-free. I spotted cake balls, donuts, cookies, beautiful cakes, pies, cupcakes, scones, loaf cake slices, muffins, biscuits, vegan cheese, crackers, etc. Everything edible was made from scratch, except the bottled beverages and coffee.
Ginger date molasses cookie ($3.25): Very nice, thick, chewy, moist, lots of molasses flavor, no ginger chunks. Couldn’t tell that it was gluten-free.
Vanilla cupcake with lemon curd ($5.75): The cupcake was smaller and about 50% of it was cake, 50% frosting. The frosting was firm, smooth, creamy, and very sweet with a hint of vanilla. It tasted natural but there was too much of it. The cake was less sweet than usual, moist and nutty – there wasn’t enough of it. The lemon curd was tangy and delicious.
Vanilla spice cake with date caramel + pumpkin buttercream cake slice ($12.50): I couldn’t taste the pumpkin. Enjoyed the flavors but the cake was dry (probably because it was kept in the fridge).
Pumpkin loaf slice ($5.55): On the dry side and it didn’t have much pumpkin flavor
Custom cakes are available. The shop is small with no indoor seating, but there are few small tables and chairs outside. Also, the business is cashless.
