Masterlist
Tumblr media
The first time you went drinking was when you graduated from Class 1-A to Class 2-A! The Bakugo squad decided it would be really cool to drink to your heart's content as a form of celebration
Mina your bestie for life, wanted you and your bf Shoto fucking hammered, seeing as it was his first time drinking
Your first time drinking was on your birthday last year, while Todoroki was doing his retake for his license
Safe to say Mina got you drunk so she was the one to take care of you the whole night
You guys drank at a club btw, Momo’s cousin was the owner so you girls had a night out, while a few guys from your class came. And by few I mean Sero, Kirishima, and Kaminari
Someone had to distract Iida and lie about going somewhere else
Good thing Shoto wasn’t there or he’d freeze and burn the 5 guys who tried to flirt with you
Ok so you guys end up keeping the night a secret from everyone who was excluded from that night, which included Shoto😭
Well all of that was true up until tonight at the graduation party, when Kaminari was yelling for everyone to take advantage and drink while Iida and Aizawa were out
Bruh, Kaminari slung his arm around your shoulder and began recalling your birthday and how you drank at least 10 glasses of different cocktail drinks
Shoto was like 👁️👄👁️😐🫤😑😯
Asked you why didn’t you tell him, you said it was a secret from everyone who wasn’t included that night, Shoto was sad at first why you didn’t tell him but all of that was erased when you gave him a peck on the lips
SMOOCH- MWAH MWAH 😘
After that Mina and Kaminari were behind you and legit made you drink
This was done by Kaminari grabbing your arms from behind you, holding you back and making you tilt your head back
Mina from in front of you quickly with ninja moves poured the whiskey into your mouth, straight from the bottle
Shoto stood there in shock and not sure what to do
But he was sure about one thing
Kaminari wasn’t going to hold his girlfriend ever again
Legit shoved off Kaminari and took his place, giving him a harsh death glare when Kaminari pouted, like his quirk, this boi literally bolted off to hide behind Kirishima
Midoriya who watched the situation unfold was like 😨😰
Uraraka was like 🫢🫣
Bakugo cackling on the ground- Bish can’t even breathe anymore
Mina made you down the whole bottle, getting you fucking hammered
Next thing Shoto knew was that you were on him
Nuzzling into his neck while whispering compliments and love confessions to him
Fuckkkk—
He was turned on-
He was so smitten with you, he would do anything for you
And that’s how he ended up drinking, Mina passed you a very expensive whiskey bottle
Courtesy’s of Endeavours black credit card ofc-
You asked him with puppy eyes to drink with you, no questions asked. He just drank it.
Midoriya tried to get him to stop but Shoto just brushed him off
Bakugo was cheering for Shoto because he was also so drunk
Ok so you and Shoto being drunk together was chaotic. So fucking chaotic
Which made it so fun-
On the dance floor dancing to whatever song they were playing, didn’t matter what
Shoto can’t dance, we all know this. But lemme tell you this, this little shit. Was dancing like he was born for it, he freaking matched your energy
You guys took more drinks throughout the whole night but that’s fine
Class 2-B entered the dorm and brought more drinks! Yayyy!!
More drinks!!🥳🥳🥳
Mina suggested you guys play 7 minutes in heaven, good idea??
Hell NAH!! That’s cuz you landed on Monoma Neito from class B, Shoto legit picked you up and threw Monoma the middle finger, carrying you bridal style to the closet
So many hickeys were visible on you after that
Lots of moans and groans came from the closet- oops
Everyone was cheering from outside cuz they were all drunk, even the innocent ones like Midoriya😤
They recorded having to pull Shoto off of you, and drag you guys out of the closet-
Damn that vid could go viral yk and his dad would be pissed AF lmaoooo
You and Shoto ended up passing out together on the couch, with a blanket wrapped around you guys
Everyone else passed out on the floor-
Woke up around noon with a major headache, running towards the toilet and throwing up
Shoto was besides you in an instant and held your hair back, rubbing your back in comfort
His turn was next. He also puked like A LOT.
But yeah, that’s ok because you guys had a really fun night last night!
Bonus:
Aizawa walks in on the dorm with everyone passed out
Legit closes the door and walks away
Iida goes in and is pissed🤬
Everyone kicked him out for being loud- lolll

Mha Boys When You Sleep Over For The First Time
———————————————————
Featuring: Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, Shoto Todoroki,Denki Kaminari, Eijiro Kirishima, Keigo Takami (Hawks), Shouta Aizawa, ————————————————————————————
I.Midoriya: Honestly poor boy would be so nervous he barely could achieve sleep, expect a lot of him asking you if you need anything “are you cold? do you need another blanket? are you sure you wanna be this close?”. . . yeah you’re in for a long night.
K.Bakugo: Starts out farthest away as possible from you claiming he didn’t even want you over to begin with, but… gradually as the night progresses he inches closer unbeknownst to you. you wake up the next morning practically capsuled in his arms, the boy actually looking peaceful for once as he slept.
S.Todoroki: Hesitant at first, offers to take the couch multiple times before eventually giving up as you two climb into bed, is kinda awkward but relaxes gradually as his arm drapes loosely around your neck resting on your collarbone. definitely a back sleeper, you feel comforted by his. slow and paced breathing as you drift off.
D.Kaminari: Is practically bursting at the seems with excitement, can’t help but imagine lewd things that might go down with you sharing a bed, has unmistakable disappointment when he realizes there would be no… suggestive activities. is still ecstatic to be this close to you, accidentally shocks you once during the night because he was so excited…
E.Kirishima: Probably the chillest about it, pampers you and makes sure you have everything you need (because chivalry is manly he says). cuddles galore! lets you play with his hair while it’s down, lacking any product. you braid and put cute little barrettes in it. definitely is a snorer, as well as the one who moves all over the map in their sleep.
K.Takami: Hawks is over the moon on the inside but acts nonchalantly, definitely has a big ass double king size bed for his wings loaded up with pillows, snacks right before bed, you don’t know how but you’ll randomly find a feather or two smushed between some pillows. he’s a stomach sleeper curtesy of his wings, unknowingly drapes a wing around you in his sleep, you wake up to him snoring face down in the pillows.
S.Aizawa: Definitely is out cold once he hits the pillow, is already tired as is throughout the day, so once his head is graced with the luxury of a mattress he.is.gone. on days where he’s not as tired he’ll ask for massage, which you happily oblige to, your fingers working out the stress built up from teaching and being a hero. his worries slip away when he’s with you and there’s nothing he loves more than a night where he’s falling asleep in your arms, his mattress having the extra weight of his lover accompanying him.

𝑠𝑢𝑚𝑚𝑎𝑟𝑦: In order to placate your anxious mother, you agree to return to your hometown to participate in a mating run—knowing full well that betas rarely get chased, never mind betas nearly old enough to age out of the practice. You’ve decided to treat it like a vacation, a chance to visit with your childhood friends, the mating run itself a nice relaxing hike. All in all it’s a solid plan—until alpha Todoroki Shouto, your best friend's little brother, steps in and blows it all to pieces. 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑡: omegaverse, no quirks au, alpha!shouto, beta!reader, mating rituals, age gap, best friend’s little brother, older reader, afab reader, some class differences, aged up characters, semi-public sex, slight small town romance vibes, background implied dabihawks for some reason, smut, 18+; mdni! 𝑙𝑒𝑛𝑔𝑡ℎ: 5.7k | chapter 3 of 4

Then
“I want to climb trees, this is so boring,” Touya complained, face down on the sofa.
You flung a piece of plastic pizza at him, laughing when it bounced off his back. Touya turned to give you the evil eye, daggers in his gaze.
“Keigo and Rumi will be here soon, can you just wait?” you asked.
On your other side, Shouto made an unhappy grunt, leaning out from behind you to give Touya a narrow-eyed little gaze. “Y/N is busy. Do not interrupt,” he said primly.
Touya grunted. “Y/N isn’t yours, you little shit. Y/N is my friend.”
Shouto puffed up next to you, little hand gripping your shirt. “Y/N is mine, Touya.” His mismatched gaze was intense where it fixed on his older brother, like he was trying to set him on fire with his eyeballs.
You shifted in between them with years of long practice, blocking their line of sight. Brothers.
“I really want to play house, if only someone would stop arguing and play with me,” you said, making sure to sound extra pathetic. That always got Shouto.
As expected, he immediately abandoned Touya, patting you as if to reassure you. “Of course I will play with you, Y/N,” he pronounced solemnly, like he was declaring some oath of office.
You snorted, turning back to Shouto’s kitchen playset with him. It had been Touya’s first, several years ago when you first visited the Todoroki house. Back then he still deigned to play with it, bossing you around like the alpha of the house, though you didn’t quite think he was going to grow up as one. Then you’d gotten too old for it, preferring video games or board games or ranging around the neighborhood, up to little good.
Today was a rare day that Keigo was permitted to come out and run around the neighborhood with you, but you had to wait for him to get here first with Rumi. And so you’d allowed Shouto to drag you over to the kitchen set while you waited, he its final owner.
“What shall I make you, Mr. Todoroki?” you asked Shouto, shifting the little plastic frying pan around on the wooden stove top. “I make a mean sliced banana. Or a sandwich, or chicken.”
Shouto moved to sit next to you, peering at his options. “I want to make it with you.”
You smiled. “You don’t want me to cook it for you?”
Shouto shook that mop of scarlet and white hair. “I want to do it together.”
You laughed. “Alright, then how about you cut up the veggies for our sides and our sandwich, and I’ll cook the chicken.”
Shouto laid out a myriad of plastic vegetables on the counter, levering his plastic knife through the velcro in their center with great concentration. You tried not to reach out and pinch his cheek for how cute he was. You didn’t understand how Touya got so annoyed with all his younger siblings when they were this sweet.
You got to work frying your plastic pile of chicken, laying it out on fake plates across the carpet when you were done. Shouto carefully placed the sliced vegetables next to it, and then the two of you bent over the pieces of a sandwich, layering in the plastic onion, tomato, lettuce, and bread.
“Shall we make you up a plate, Touya?” you asked. Touya just flashed you a rude gesture from the couch.
“This is only for you,” Shouto insisted, pushing your plate at you. You grinned down at him, passing over the fake cutlery.
“Well thank you, chef Shouto. I am honored to be worthy enough of your cooking,” you said.
Shouto’s little cheeks flushed, as if embarrassed. He pretended to take a bite out of his sandwich, and then a swig out of his fake bottle of milk.
“So, how was work?” he asked, out of nowhere.
You blinked at him, then startled into another laugh. Oh, so he wanted to play real house, like you were married. So funny.
You pretended to take a thoughtful bite of your own meal. “Very busy and tiring,” you said. “I couldn’t wait to come home.”
Shouto scooted a little bit closer to you, pushing some of his fake veggies at you, their velcro innards rolling. “You need to eat a lot to keep your energy,” he pronounced. “Until I can make enough money that you do not have to work so hard.”
You grinned. So he thought he was going to be the breadwinner, huh? Not super traditional for an omega, but times were changing. You couldn’t imagine an alpha who wouldn’t want to provide for sweet little Shouto, though, so that was something he and his life mate were going to have to negotiate.
“We’re already rich, idiot,” Touya said from the couch. “Mom said we all have an inheritance.”
Shouto’s eyebrow twitched, like he was annoyed Touya was intruding on this private domestic discussion.
“Then you can have my inheritance,” he insisted to you, though you knew he had absolutely no idea what that meant.
You pretended to think on this.
“What if I use some of it to open my bookstore, and then pay you back the profits?” you asked.
Touya thought your dream of a bookstore was stupid, so you anticipated his annoyed grunt from the couch. But you still liked the idea of it. Ever since you were little, you’d wanted to own one of the brick-faced shops right along the waterfront, somewhere you could walk to from your house. You’d pile it high with thousands of books and plants and string-lights and have all your friends come over after hours to hang out.
You didn’t want to leave your hometown like so many people did. You wanted to make a home right here on the coast, where you could watch over your mom and hang out with Shouto and Touya and Keigo and Rumi.
Though these days you’d become aware that starting a business required upfront money first. Hopefully you would figure out how to get some by the time you graduated highschool. But the Todoroki inheritance would work nicely for your fantasy bookstore.
“You do not have to pay me back the profits,” Shouto insisted. “If we are married.”
You laughed. “Right, right. Then they’re our profits.”
“This is sickening,” Touya said, his voice muffled into a pillow.
You wiggled your eyebrows at Shouto, considering saying something that would bait Touya, but then the doorbell rang. Touya shot up off the couch, rushing over to let in his saviors.
“Looks like Keigo and Rumi are here,” you told Shouto. “Thank you for a delicious dinner.”
Some tiny flicker crossed Shouto’s serious little face, something like annoyance, which you so rarely saw on him. “I want to make it together again.”
You nodded, patting his fluff of multicolored hair. “Yeah, we’ll do it again. Next time we’ll even do dessert, okay?”
Shouto looked momentarily appeased. “And you’ll eat it all. So you have energy.”
You laughed, yanking on one of the strands of his hair fondly. “Absolutely. You take such good care of me, Shouto.”
A pleased little smile turned the corner of his mouth. He placed a hand on your knee as you heard Keigo and Rumi spill into the house, the rustle of Rumi and Touya immediately tussling.
“I will take good care of you always,” Shouto said seriously. “You have my word.”
“I trust it,” you said. And you knew he meant it.
Todoroki Shouto was such a sweet boy, and he was going to make someone a very good not-pretend husband one day. You waved to him as Rumi looped a nut-brown arm over your neck, pulling you outside.
These days, you’d been aware that life was not going to be as stable as you’d always assumed it would be as you grew up. But you hoped you’d still be around to see Shouto grow up too, married and happy like that with his own real life partner some day.
You wondered where you would be when that finally happened.
Tumblr media
Now
The next few days proved a test of your resolution to be normal about Shouto.
Everywhere you went, it seemed like Shouto was there—or maybe you were the problem, finding yourself drawn to wherever he was.
You took meals at the Todoroki house a couple more times, eating them out of house and home like you had as a teen—Shouto always stopping by too to eat something on his way on or off a shift. Twice your morning runs had taken you by the fire station, only to see a pair of mismatched eyes tracking you curiously from the engine bay, burning hot on your back as you quickly scurried away, feeling insane.
Shouto joined Touya when he met you and Rumi and Keigo for drinks one evening, Touya looking just as chagrined to have his baby brother tagging along as he had when you were kids.
“Shouto-duty,” he’d growled, the same as when you were little and he was charged with Shouto’s care. Shouto’s face had gone carefully blank, the paragon of innocence, and you’d laughed as he angled himself into the booth across from you.
Of course you’d quickly shut up when he’d pressed his calf up against yours, his long legs unfurling under the table. You’d quickly jerked your leg aside to make space for him, but he stretched out further, an ankle pressing to yours. He didn’t seem to mind, although it made your face warm for some reason.
Shouto had been good company, and had patiently endured Rumi’s hair ruffling and Keigo’s incessant teasing. He’d even walked you home at the end of the evening, like a protective alpha, even though you were not an omega and could damn well take care of yourself. And he’d lingered as you’d unlocked the door, smiling his tiny, careful little smile, and looking almost like he was waiting for something.
You’d bitten out a strangled good night and quickly barricaded yourself inside the house, lest you do something stupid.
That had the unfortunate effect of making you feel even more like a girl returning home from a date, however, and your mother had been almost beside herself with glee when she’d caught a hint of Shouto’s scent as you’d jerked the door closed behind you.
“An alpha?” she’d prompted again, abandoning her soap opera to lean over the couch arm eagerly.
“It’s just Shouto,” you’d explained hastily, waving your arms, a little loose with the drinks you’d had. “It’s not anything.”
Your mother’s eyebrows had gone up. “I thought he was your child bride.”
You hissed, shushing her, casting a stricken glance at the open window. You hoped Shouto had turned around immediately and gotten out of hearing range or you were going to have to kill your own mother.
“He is like my orderly, helping me off the shuttle back into the retirement home,” you said, turning and emphatically shedding your jacket and shoes, effectively ending the conversation.
But that hadn’t been the end of it. You’d seen Shouto a million times more since then, culminating in a final sighting the night before the run.
You’d ducked out to the grocery, intent on gathering up a day’s worth of supplies for the run. For most people it was over within a few hours—omegas had a thirty minute head start but usually went no further than a mile out, the ritual no longer the strict test of a mate it might have been back before things like showers and wifi and nine-to-fives were invented. But you always went to the coast, a hike of at least an hour or two, and you needed to stay up your tree for at least a few more while the more daring omegas who’d come out around you were summarily hunted down and properly bedded.
With the hike back accounted for, it usually took up most of the day, and you’d long learned your time was best spent with a book, a few bottles of water, and several snacks on hand.
You recognized Shouto’s distinctive mop of hair and broad shoulders as soon as you turned onto the produce aisle. He’d seemed somehow to sense you already—though betas were notoriously harder to scent than omegas—mismatched eyes already pinned to you as you rounded the corner.
You startled, your basket jerking in your grip.
“Hi Shouto,” you said, sidling up to him.
Shouto watched you approach, a tiny smile pulling at the corner of his mouth. “Y/N,” he intoned, peering curiously into your basket. A long-fingered, elegant hand reached out to touch the snacks you’d gathered there, everything but the apple you’d been targeting when you’d turned into this aisle.
“For the run?” Shouto guessed, eyes darting back up to catch yours.
You could feel your face flushing in acknowledgement of the ridiculousness of your participation. “Yes,” you said, dredging up a grin. You were happy to see him. “With any luck, and a heaping dollop of guilt, hopefully my last ever. I’m going all out.”
Something flickered behind Shouto’s eyes, a sort of glint you’d never seen before. For some reason the hair on the back of your neck raised. Maybe an alpha thing.
“With any luck,” he repeated, his voice rich, strangely deep.
You wiggled your basket of snacks at him. “What about you? Making preparations for the big day?”
Shouto’s eyes followed the basket as you dropped it back down to your side. “Yes. I was hoping to make something, for after.”
Your eyebrows shot up, a wave of helpless affection for him rising in you. “For your life mate? To take them home to?”
Shouto nodded, his scarlet and white strands falling into his eyes. He was so, so good.
You couldn’t help but reach out and pinch him, right on his rib cage. “You are too pure to be related to your family.”
Shouto blinked, eyelashes fluttering. His gaze was a little darker where it caught yours again. “I would not be so sure.”
You took a step back, slightly startled by this assertion. Another flush heated your cheeks, and you pinched him again for good measure. “Respect your elders’ opinions, brat.”
Shouto’s gaze softened, and he stepped closer, catching your fingers in his before you could do too much damage. Your heart hammered to a stop in your chest, your hand suddenly burning beneath his.
“Let me make you something,” he said, his tone dipping low again.
A surprised breath escaped you. “Like lunch? For tomorrow?”
Shouto watched you for a long moment before answering. “That, as well.”
“Oh, then you meant like, for dinner tonight?” You frowned, wracking your brain for his meaning, and coming up short.
That wry little smile played about Shouto’s mouth again. “Yes, dinner tonight, too.”
You squinted at him, unclear what he was trying to do here. “Touya says you’re a shit cook and that’s why you come eat all Rei’s cooking.”
Shouto’s face went pointedly blank. “I am passable.”
“I’ve heard conflicting reports.”
“Then perhaps you can help me.” Shouto’s fingers curled around yours more tightly. “I will purchase, and you direct the operation.”
Your mind suddenly flickered back, catching the wisp of an afternoon years ago, bent over Shouto’s fake plastic cookware, a tiny, round-faced Shouto insisting he’d provide for you. Cooking together, you directing Shouto to cut the plastic veggies along their velcro strips while you diligently fried your plastic chicken. Your heart swelled.
“In the interest of you not food poisoning your life mate your first night together, I’m willing to show you a thing or two,” you said, peering up at him, feeling slightly giddy.
Shouto’s mouth quirked. “I will watch carefully.”
You grinned. “Alright. What are we thinking for meals then?”
It turned out Shouto already had a plan in mind—fried chicken karaage, with marinated vegetable sides, and for lunch some jam-packed wanpaku sandwiches to keep your energy up out in the preserve tomorrow. He made a second pass through the snack aisle, seeming to pull in doubles or triples of everything you’d collected in your basket so far. Then he even snuck in two pieces of chocolate cake in the bakery section, crowned with little dollops of fresh whipped cream.
Shouto dumped your entire basket into his as well, holding you off with a strong arm when you made a grab for it, and ignored your protests all the way through checkout.
“Shouto, that’s my lunch, I should pay,” you insisted, getting a little hot in the face again when he was easily able to fend you off with one arm despite your genuine efforts. God, that was—you needed to not think about that.
“I once promised to take good care of you,” Shouto said, leading the way out of the store. You followed, realizing you had no idea where he lived now.
“You were a baby. You also promised me your entire inheritance,” you said, rolling your eyes. “Plus starting tomorrow you are going to have a life mate to provide for.”
Shouto turned to look down at you, eyes dragging down your face. “I will.”
“Okay then we’re agreed,” you said, digging around in your bag for his change. Shouto’s stride lengthened, however, like he was trying to dodge you. You hurried after him, swearing like Touya, and found yourself all but chasing him towards the waterfront, suddenly freezing when Shouto turned onto one of the shop-lined streets, stopping just before a familiar little brick building.
“Shouto—you live above this?” you asked, creeping forward to look in through the window.
The shop stood empty, as it had the day you’d graduated high school, but you could see it was well-maintained, new flooring installed in a warm light wood and windows shined to crystal clarity. “I used to be obsessed with this place, this is where I thought my bookshop was going to be!” you said, unsure if you were talking to Shouto or yourself.
The soft clink of Shouto’s key paused in the door. “I know,” he said. “I remember you telling me.”
You turned back to him, smiling. “That was a million years ago and you were like, barely out of the womb.”
Shouto’s eyes pinned you with an alarming intensity, grey and blue points burning through you. “I remember everything you have ever told me.”
Your breath wooshed out of you, leaving you startlingly vulnerable. You desperately scrambled for verbal cover. “I—you are so full of it. You weren’t even speaking words yet when I met you.”
Shouto’s mouth quirked again, and he gestured you inside. You followed behind him, trying not to admire the way his broad shoulders filled up the breadth of the stairwell, the way his thighs bunched in his jeans as he took the stairs.
No. That way lay danger.
Shouto’s apartment had the same lovely blonde wood across the floors as the shop downstairs, and a huge bay window overlooking the coast where you imagined you could see the sun come up over the water in the mornings. The rest of the apartment was modern in style, though strangely minimalist, as though Shouto hadn’t filled it with very many of his own things.
“My life mate will need room,” he explained, unloading the groceries on the counter.
Your heart twisted at that, and you purposefully set about drinking in your fill of Shouto’s space before someone else filled it in for him. You admired the large, cushiony couch, chosen as if Shouto had imagined a thousand nights cuddled up on it with someone else, what appeared to be a super old but working fireplace, and the neatly arranged rows of hanging copper pots, which you could tell almost never got used.
It smelled like him, his alpha scent everywhere, like sweet campfire smoke on a cold breeze. It made you want to curl up in here and never leave.
“It’s amazing, Shouto. Your mate is going to just die over this,” you said, totally charmed.
You tried hard to ignore the little tinge of jealousy souring your gut.
Shouto’s gaze flashed up to yours, his long fingers arranging the groceries neatly on his countertops. “I would prefer if no one died,” he said solemnly.
You laughed. “You know what I mean.”
“I had hoped you would like it,” Shouto said, something pleased in his deep tone.
“I love it. You’ll have to invite me back over next time I’m in town,” you said.
Shouto’s fingers hesitated over a tomato, and a small, shy sort of smile pulled at his mouth as he peered down at it. “Perhaps even sooner.”
You blinked, mystified. You weren’t going to have time before you left for the city again, not with the run tomorrow, and definitely not if Shouto spent the traditional several days curled up here with his life mate afterwards.
“Yeah sometime,” you said vaguely, trying not to think too hard on it.
You had sort of enjoyed being Shouto’s favorite when you were kids, your time and attention prioritized even above Touya’s. But Shouto was all grown up now and it was time for him to have a new favorite—you probably hadn’t been his since you’d graduated and disappeared into the city to generate parental support money. It had been years.
“Anyway let’s get this stuff prepped, sous-chef Shouto,” you said, coming around the counter to his side. “I’m thinking the old plan of attack—you slice the veggies, I’ll fry the chicken?”
Shouto’s mouth pulled in a wider smile than you’d seen in a long time, a heart-stoppingly handsome flash of white. You gripped the counter carefully.
“I’d like that,” he said.
He set himself up with a knife and a cutting board, and set you up with a few small bowls for breading, flour, and egg. You noticed he sliced his vegetables a little more dexterously than the velcro veggies of years past—though certainly not expertly. The two of you worked in easy tandem as you whisked the egg, then laid all your chicken pieces out as you waited for the pot on the stove to warm.
The peace was only broken when Shouto suddenly leaned over you, bringing with him a puff of that delicious campfire scent. Your breath reflexively seized in your lungs as you froze, hyperaware of him as his hand went to the side of your hip. He gently pulled you out of range of one of his drawers, moving you like you were an expected piece of his kitchen—like his life mate he was long-used to dancing around, pressing close enough that you could feel the heat of him.
Something like electricity spiked across all of your nerve endings. You tried not to shiver with the feeling of Shouto’s soft exhale over your shoulder, the heavy weight of his hand on your hip as he slid open one of his drawers.
It took you a few moments to recover enough that you realized he’d been pulling out plastic wrap. He hadn’t been curled over your back just for the intimacy of it—god, you were such a fucking creep.
You peeled yourself out of Shouto’s hands and beat a hasty retreat to his fridge, scrounging around for the ingredients you’d need to make the vegetable seasonings. The warm kabocha and fried chicken were going to make perfect leftovers for Shouto and his mate to scarf down after a windy run along the coast tomorrow.
Maybe you’d try to make something similar when you made it back to your mom’s tomorrow. Although, come to think of it, you didn’t really want to be reminded of Shouto stuffed up back here with someone else.
A frown pulled at your mouth, and you pinched your thigh, gathering yourself back together. What Shouto did with his own life mate was none of your business. You needed to remember that.
When Shouto finished cutting up the vegetables you helped him arrange everything into two enormous sandwiches, then covered in plastic wrap and stowed in his fridge to set. He watched you carefully as you fried the chicken, hovering closely behind you like a tall, handsome shadow. You fought against some strange impulse to lean back against his chest, watching the chicken burble in the oil with an intense focus. Shouto didn’t seem to mind the sudden quiet, smiling a small half-smile when you turned back to him.
When it seemed ready, you fished the chicken out, setting it on paper towels to absorb the excess. Shouto followed you, taking hold of your face as you turned back to him.
You froze for the second time, pulse racing, as his fingers came up to brush along your cheek, just under your eye. The touch was gentle but firm, and his gaze swept over you assessingly. He seemed to linger for a long moment—until he came away with flour across his thumb.
A weird sense of disappointment twisted your gut as Shouto looked it over. How embarrassing.
“Oh, thanks,” you managed to say, swiping at your face yourself.
Shouto’s mouth quirked softly. “As I said, I did once promise to take care of you.”
Your face went warmer, and you deliberately did not think about how much you liked that. The only person taking care of you was you, and it was going to have to be that way for the foreseeable future. Flour was only flour.
“Again, you were a baby. You needed taking care of more than me,” you accused.
Shouto shifted closer, an intent look settling over his features. “I am not a child any longer.”
That much was upsettingly clear these days. But that was beside the point.
“Neither of us are,” you agreed. “And I assure you, other than the occasional flour mishap, I am excellent at taking care of myself now. You on the other hand, with all these unused pots…”
Shouto’s eyes lingered on your face. To your horror he absently brought his thumb to his mouth, tongue barely flicking out to lick the flour—and that ended the discussion immediately.
Your face immediately flamed, overcome with shit you absolutely should not be thinking, and you shooed him away to fetch plates. Shouto let himself be shooed, looking contemplative.
When he returned with plates, you busied yourself serving up two large portions of rice, followed by crispy golden fried chicken, cucumber salad, and soft, steaming kabocha. It all looked excellent, if you did say so yourself, practically Michelin-starred compared to the plastic meal you’d made together all those years ago.
Shouto led you over to the coffee table and you both took positions on the floor, your back against his couch.
“This reminds me so much of when we were little,” you said, grinning. “Except the couch is mercifully devoid of any complaining.”
The indent at the side of Shouto’s mouth deepened. “I prefer the lack of Touya as well.”
You laughed, biting into your chicken, pleased when it tasted as good as it looked. Hopefully Shouto’s life mate was going to love it. Shouto looked like he liked it too, his long eyelashes fluttering over the tops of his cheekbones as he chewed. Your stomach flipped.
“So how was work?” you asked Shouto, flipping the script on him from when he was younger.
An electric blue eye cut sideways towards you, like he remembered too.
“Very busy and tiring,” he repeated, almost an exact parroting of your words, if you remembered correctly. “I could not wait to come home.”
“You really do remember a lot,” you said, impressed.
Shouto took a mouthful of squash, chewing neatly. Was it normal to look that pretty when eating?
“As I said,” he said, something slightly smug in his voice.
You rolled your eyes—Todorokis—and took your own mouthful of food, chewing thoughtfully.
“You’re so similar and yet so different,” you informed him when you’d finished. “I’m sad I missed you graduating school, and the academy. You’ve really grown up into an amazing person, Sho.”
Shouto’s chopsticks wavered over his plate, and a pink flush stained his cheeks.
“I had always wanted you to think so, when we were younger,” he said slowly, eyes fixed on his plate.
You smiled. “You were so cute. I was always going to think so. Even when I thought you were going to grow up an omega and had no idea what career you might have wanted. You were just good, I think.”
The tip of Shouto’s ear went red, almost matching the left side of his hair.
You couldn’t help but continue, warmed by how much the praise clearly meant to him. “Touya was my best friend but I liked spending the time with you, even though you were that much younger. I am sorry I haven’t been able to stick around and spend more of it with you.”
Shouto took a deliberate bite of rice, like he was calming himself.
“Your job in the city,” he said, when he finished. “Do you like it?”
You shook your head, snorting. “It’s fine. If I had a say I’d be running that storefront just below us, but my job is at least guaranteed money for mom. I don’t mind, though I do regret not coming back here enough.”
Shouto seemed to take a moment to think on this. “But you would quit it, if you could,” he said.
You nodded. “Yeah, I think so. But like I said, it’s not so bad. And it’s pretty good money for a single income if I do say so myself.”
Shouto turned to watch you. “It would be easier if you had your life mate,” he said.
You paused, considering the weight of this statement. “Well yeah. But as you know, not everyone finds theirs. And as a beta I’m sort of stuck waiting for my life mate to find me—I’ve sometimes wondered if any of those alphas I hid up a tree from were actually it, all those years ago. But something tells me no. So I’m doing my own thing in the meantime.”
“Do you hope to find your life mate, this time?” Shouto asked, pinning you with an intense look. He’d abandoned his food it seemed, watching you with singular focus. It was slightly unnerving.
You wondered how best to answer without making him pity you.
“I’ve always hoped, but I’ve never counted on it,” you said. “But one thing is for certain—I wouldn’t accept just anyone. I’m not going to end up like my parents did.”
Shouto’s fingers shifted on the table top, and he seemed to be holding them out to you. You carefully placed your hand in his, gratified when his hand closed over yours, thumb smoothing your skin.
“You are not,” Shouto said, sounding sure. “You will have a life mate who has cared for you and will care for you his whole life.”
He sounded like he meant it. He was so sweet all these years later.
You flushed, embarrassed by his declaration. “Okay. I’ll—trust you on that.”
Shouto looked satisfied, letting your hand go so you could return to your food. You both scarfed down the rest of your meals, like the two of you were storing up enough energy for tomorrow, and then Shouto pressed a slice of chocolate cake on you, too, insistent.
He watched you eat it with the supervisory focus of a mother—or an alpha with his omega, a thought that you immediately put back out of mind.
You let him feed you too much, happy for the extra time in his company, laughing and chatting and reliving shared memories. You insisted on helping him with the dishes, too, washing everything as he packed up the leftovers, and then sorted out your prepared sandwich and the snacks he’d purchased for you. He didn’t let you out of his sight even as he did so, moving in front of you to block your access to your bag when you remembered you owed him money.
Shouto kept hold of it on the way to the door, too, so you couldn’t dig out cash and fling it before running out—he really did know too much about you after all these years.
Once he surrendered your bag to you, he leaned forward, fingers finding the side of your face again, cupping it and turning it up to his.
You went perfectly, embarrassingly still in his hold, breath coming short. His thumb smoothed across your cheek, and a private little smile pulled at his mouth.
“I will see you tomorrow,” he promised, his tone rich and dark, like the chocolate cake you’d just had.
You barely resisted a shiver, having to manually kickstart your lungs again, breathing in and out deliberately.
“Only if your life mate goes so far,” you said. “I hope for your sake they keep things easy.”
Shouto’s smile widened a bit. “They will not.”
You tried not to be too irritated at whoever it was. Only an idiot would make it so hard for an alpha like Todoroki Shouto.
“Well then, good luck,” you told him. “I’ll be on the lookout for you from my tree. And I’ll have snacks if you need them.” You rattled your bag.
Shouto’s eyes roved over your face, something warm in his gaze. “You will see me,” he said. “Though I do not plan to need any luck.”
Okay that was—he was not allowed to be that confident. That damn omega had no idea how lucky they were.
It took everything you had to wrench yourself away from him, only the knowledge that he was meant for someone else carrying you away. You made yourself salute him, smiling. Then you bid him good night, promising to text him when you got in, and scurried off to your mother’s house, trying to put yourself on the right track again.
You scolded yourself as you readied for bed, dropping a kiss on your mother’s head as you passed her asleep on the couch. You would not be a weenie about this. You were, at least, glad that Shouto was going to find his happiness tomorrow.
Even if you envied them even more tonight after seeing the life Shouto had built for them to share. Even if you wished, despite all odds, that you could find a life mate to share yours, too.

hello! would you mind doing some soft hcs for shouto, i mean like the ones you did with hawks & bakugo, please???
- YES. shoto is so babygirl and I love him and I want him so i’m so glad someone reminded me to do this. i hope I did this some justice with the psychotic ideas that pop up in my head, ENJOY ^_−

soft shoto hcs
Tumblr media
- this song is literally the type of music shoto would listen to while thinking of you at like 3am, and he’d sing the “we should stick together, you’re my best friend I’ll love you forever” part while imaging your smile. it’s tru because I said so, if u don’t think so just remember I don’t care what u think if it opposes what I think, uno the vibe. (^_−)−☆
———————————————————————————
(just some SFW soft headcanons of what shoto would be like in a relationship)
————————————————————
- shoto can’t sleep without you, at all. you either have to be beside him, or on a FaceTime call with him so that he can rest properly. your light snoring is comforting to him and he likes staring at your face while you sleep. he studies all your features and traces them lightly with his thumb if he can. he holds you so gently that he’s afraid if he makes any sudden moves you might break you. the thought often scares him. he can’t lose you.
- shoto ties your laces for you. he hates when you do it for yourself, and when you do he just looks you dead in the eye and doesn’t look away. so you end up having to untie them and ask him to tie them for you himself. he smiles at your gesture and kisses your forehead before kneeling down to assist you.
- if you call him while you’re lying down on his bed and he’s at his desk doing homework, he will drop everything to come over to you. and if you usher him into your arms to cuddle, his face will light up and he’ll crawl over to you, curling up and resting his head on your lap. play with his hair and he’ll literally sound like he’s purring.
- whenever you’re sitting down and you want a hug, he will get down on his knees and hug your mid section instead of getting you to stand up. he then proceeds to look up at you with the prettiest eyes. if you ever compliment his eyes he’ll just pout at you and cover his face with the hem of his shirt so you can’t see his blush.
- shoto has really soft lips, so whenever he’s putting vaseline on himself he instinctively puts some on you too. gently using his thumb to rub the gel onto your bottom lip with care. then right after he gives your a kiss, his vaseline combining with yours. he always caresses your cheek with his knuckles afterwards.

Hii douma! May I request Shoto just in love? Just him being in love for the very first time and the concept of love just so foreign to him? Have a great day/night!

MY HERO ACADEMIA MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
The cold spring air of U.A. High School's training grounds swept across Shoto Todoroki's face, his distinctive heterochromatic eyes glancing stoically at the horizon. As he approached the courtyard, the brisk wind tousled his dual-toned hair, and for the first time, a peculiar sensation stirred within him. It was an emotion he hadn't experienced before, a feeling that seemed to thaw the icy demeanor that usually defined him, yet he couldn't put a finger on what was it.
As the son of Endeavor, emotions had never been a territory he explored willingly. However, this day would mark a shift, an unexpected twist in the stoic narrative of Todoroki's life.
Shoto was no stranger to intense emotions. Anger, resentment, and the relentless pursuit of self-discovery had been his companions for as long as he could remember. But this was different – a foreign concept that had invaded the carefully constructed fortress around his heart.
As he walked past the cherry blossom trees, their delicate petals swirling in the air, his gaze landed on a figure standing by the fountain.
It was you, a fellow classmate whose presence had recently begun to captivate him. You were a presence in his life that had begun to defy categorization. You were just a person — a puzzle piece that didn't quite fit the mold he'd grown accustomed to. He admired you from afar, appreciating your strength and determination in both academics and combat.
It began innocently, Shoto noticed. A shared glance across the classroom, a casual comment during training, and the casual camaraderie of shared laughter. But as days unfolded, the puzzle piece shifted, creating a mosaic he hadn't anticipated. He was no stranger to intensity; after all, his own quirk bore the duality of fire and ice. Yet, this newfound sentiment was a flame of a different kind, uncharted and unsettling.
"Hey," he called out, his voice surprisingly steady despite the internal turmoil.
You turned towards him, a quizzical smile gracing your lips. "Todoroki, hey. Is everything okay?"
Shoto hesitated, his usual calm exterior cracking just a bit. "I… I wanted to talk."
Curiosity sparked in your eyes as you nodded, inviting him to continue.
"I've been thinking," Shoto began, his usually concise words replaced by a rare vulnerability. "About feelings. Emotions. And there's something I can't quite comprehend."
You listened intently, sensing the gravity of Shoto's words. "What is it?"
"I've always been driven by my goals, my desire to surpass my limits, and the need to prove my father wrong," he continued, "but lately, I find myself caught in a different struggle. It's like a flame inside me, burning with an intensity I can't control."
You tilted your head, intrigued. "Oh?"
Shoto nodded, his gaze meeting yours with an intensity that surprised even himself. "It's a distraction, an enigma that I can't unravel. It's like standing at the edge of a precipice, uncertain of the fall," he admitted, a rare flicker of uncertainty crossing his features.
Your lips curled into a gentle smile. "Love, Todoroki. It sounds like you're in love."
Todoroki's brows furrowed, the word foreign on his tongue. Love. A concept he'd analyzed in textbooks but never expected to encounter firsthand.
You smiled gently, understanding the conflict within him. "Love is complex, Shoto. It's not something you can control or quantify. It's a force that binds us together, that makes us vulnerable and strong at the same time."
Shoto absorbed your words, his internal battle slowly subsiding. "I don't know how to navigate this unfamiliar territory."
You reached out, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "It's okay not to have all the answers. Love is a journey, not a destination. Take your time, Todoroki."
"I think… I might be in love with you," he confessed, the admission hanging in the air like the delicate petals of cherry blossoms.
Your eyes widened, a subtle blush adorning your features. "Todoroki, that's…" you began, but he silenced you with a tender touch as he placed his hand to your rosy cheek.
"Let me finish," he whispered, his breath mingling with the soft evening breeze. "I might not fully understand it, but I know that being around you feels just right. I love spending my time with you, it doesn't matter if we just chat or study together."
A heartbeat passed between you, the air charged with unspoken emotions. And then, in a moment both tender and profound, Shoto leaned in, placing a gentle kiss to your cheek. It was a sweet, hesitant kiss, a step into the uncharted territory of love.
As he looked at you, the world around seemed to fade, leaving only the two of you in the quiet embrace newfound feelings. Shoto's stoic facade melted away, revealing a vulnerability.
A quiet moment passed before you chuckled, breaking the tension. "Well, that's unexpected. I never thought I'd be the one to thaw Todoroki's icy heart."
A small, hesitant smile tugged at Todoroki's lips. Embracing the vulnerability he rarely allowed himself to show, Shoto took a deep breath. "Would you mind if I… explore this feeling with you?"
"I'd like that, Shoto," you replied, reaching your hand out to intertwine your fingers with his.

Its mid-afternoon in the UA library. The early Spring sunlight is streaming through the tall windows and across the sci-fi novel you're flipping through. You sigh; content to finally have a Saturday off after a grueling few weeks of classes, training and internship activities.
You think back to a particularly tough training session that had taken place the day before - you had finally kicked Shoto Todoroki's ass in front of the whole class. You smile as you remember the shocked look on his face as you reached down to help him back to his feet.
"You had it coming, hot stuff." You winked as he grabbed your hand and let you pull him back to standing position. His face had flushed red in humiliation at the loss.
You're suddenly jerked out of your reverie when a figure looms over you, casting a long shadow on the desk before you. You turn, startled. As if pulled from your daydream, Shoto Todoroki has materialized before you – tall and handsome. You look up at him in surprise, mouth half open.
"I think we should kiss." Shoto's deep voice says above you, his tone neutral.
"Huh?" Your mouth drops fully open. Shoto is looking down at you with eyes alight with determination. That cute blush is back - splashed across his pale cheeks and across his aristocratic nose.
"I was thinking back to our fight yesterday, and the reason why I lost. It was because I was thinking about kissing you the whole time. I let myself get distracted. I think that if we kissed, I could get over it and refocus on training." So matter-of-fact! That was one thing you liked about Shoto - he was straightforward.
"Um...okay." With an effort, you close your gaping mouth. You’re absolutely dumbfounded. Shoto has never shown any romantic interest in you before. You’ve never caught wandering eyes on you in class, he’s never stashed a love note in your locker. None of the typical school love tropes have been leveraged here. If anything, the two of you are loose acquaintances on the cusp of being friends. Maybe a few more months of class and group activities together would have helped you bridge the gap and fully form a decent friendship.
You wonder if he’s been into you all this time, or if this is just a whim he’s exploring. Either way - who are you to let an opportunity to kiss a hot guy go by the wayside? You snap your book shut and stand. "You want to do this right now?"
Shoto nods, and turns to walk away with the expectation that you’ll follow. You get up and sweep your things into your bag, heart beating double time. You quickly jog to catch up with Shoto – he’s already out the door. The two of you walk across the UA grounds in silence, your footsteps falling into a soft rhythm.  Your mind is going at a million miles per minute – could this all be an elaborate prank? Shoto has never struck you as the type to play a cruel joke on a classmate. Quite the opposite – when he’s not training he seems so soft and sweet. He strikes you as more of an introvert than anything else. He keeps people at a safe distance. You’ve always been under the impression that when it comes to Shoto, trust is earned, not freely given.
You wonder if this kissing business means that you’ve earned a bit of that trust? Who’s to say.
“So…” you say, attempting to break the tension. “Where are we going?”
Shoto looks back at you, confused. “Isn’t it obvious? We’re going to my dorm room.”
“Oh.” You pause. “Wouldn’t that be a bit inappropriate? Like, what if someone catches us kissing in your dorm room? Won’t we get in trouble?”
“I’ll lock the door.” He says sensibly. “It’s no one’s business but ours.”
“Huh.”
“Oh – I think I understand what you’re getting at.” He runs a hand through his hair reflexively. “It’s no wonder you’re one of the top members of the class. A good hero always has a strategy. So we should come up with an alibi.” He brings his thumb to his chin as he stares into space, pondering.
“If someone catches us, I can say that I experimentally froze my lips with my power and that I asked you to help me warm them up. Naturally, the best way to do so was with your lips.” He turns to you expectantly to gauge your reaction.
What the actual hell, Shoto.
“You’re um…you’re fucking with me, right?” You look at him uncertainly. Shoto’s unusually harsh upbringing has caused him to be shockingly literal at times. Your eyes scan his face until the corner of his mouth quirks upwards into a small smile.
“Yes, I am.”
You burst out laughing at the unexpected joke, and his tiny smile grows into a full grin. He likes making you laugh.
“Listen…” He says reassuringly, “No one is going to bother us – it’s such a nice day. I overheard some of the girls saying they were going to take pictures near the campus cherry blossom trees. They roped Midoriya, Ida and a few other classmates into the activity as well. Bakugo, Kirishima and Sero are all training across campus in the gym. We should have at least an hour or two before anyone comes seriously looking for us.”
Wow. That must be the longest group of sentences he’s ever said to you directly.
“You’ve really thought this through.” You say, following him across the threshold of Class 1A’s dorm complex.
He smirks. “I’m strategic.”
You look at him appraisingly. He looks clean and trim in his tailored UA uniform. Aside from the scar surrounding his eye, he has the most perfect skin of anyone in your class. While the rest of your classmates have been stressing about moisturizer and SPF and acne treatments, you’ve watched Shoto sail through his hormonal teens without a skincare care in the world. The skin of his cheeks is the color of porcelain and looks so, so soft and deliciously kissable. His face holds a mixture of determination and apprehension.
You enter the kitchen and common room area of your dorm and see that it’s completely, blessedly empty - odd for a Saturday. Shoto is right - it is one of the first nice spring days on campus. You assume everyone is out enjoying the nice weather as he said. This is a good thing – it means your clandestine meeting with Shoto can stay secret. Everyone in Class 1A can be so nosy sometimes. You’re determined to keep this juicy little secret between the two of you.
He leads you up towards one of the hallways that encompasses the boy’s dorms, pausing in front of his door to fiddle with his key. His usually steady hands are shaking a bit as he turns the lock and pushes open the door to reveal his immaculately clean bedroom with it’s traditional Japanese décor.
You step inside and slide off your shoes, letting your bag drop to the floor.
“I forgot how traditional your space is, Shoto.”
He closes the door behind you and clicks the lock into place before discarding his keys on his desktop. He looks around the dorm room thoughtfully.
“It’s how I grew up. I never really had the chance to develop my own taste or style.”
“Maybe now that you have your own space, you finally can!” You say enthusiastically. “If you’d ever like to go shopping or want help putting together a Pinterest board, Mina and I can definitely help you find some inspiration.”
His flat line of a mouth quirks up into another small smile. “I haven’t really had the time to think about anything other than school work and the L.o.V. since we moved into the dorms. Maybe you’re right – this could be an opportunity to broaden my horizons. See what I like.”
“Yeah! There are so many fun ways you can bring more of yourself into this space. We can start with a throw pillow.” You say knowledgably, pulling up the Pinterest app on your phone. “What’s your favorite color?”
“Blue.”
You type the color into the search bar, and immediately the screen is flooded with hundreds of different shades of blue throw pillows – all kinds of patterns and sayings and beading and embroidery. You hand him your phone and encourage him to scroll through the options.
“I’m sure we can find something that makes you feel like you.”
His eyes soften a bit as he takes the phone from you, intrigued. He scrolls through the colorful images, overwhelmed by the options. After a few minutes of careful deliberation, he finally stops and double taps a picture, hyperlinking to a website.
“This. This feels like it could be me.” He sends himself the link so he can purchase the pillow later. He hands back your phone and you take a curious look – the image he’s drawn to is a long rectangle of fabric shaped like a whale. It has navy blue stripes along with a small curved tale and button eyes sewn on. You look up and see that the tips of Shoto’s ears are bright red.
“This isn’t what I was expecting – but I see now that it suits you perfectly.” You say, picturing the whale pillow in his room – a dash of whimsy against the otherwise stuffy outdated décor.  He practically glows at the compliment. You realize that this is likely one of the first times someone is validating a choice he has made for himself. You cough and toss your phone into your discarded bag – the moment feels oddly intimate.
Shoto’s eyes scan across your face and he speaks his next words slowly, almost deliberately. “This is what I’ve always liked about you, y/n. You always seem to know what to say to get someone to smile or to open up. Admirable traits in a future hero.” You feel your own face heating up at the sweet compliment. Shoto has never given you so much direct attention outside of class, and it’s exciting and almost unnerving to have those two intense eyes focused in entirely on you.
“Thank you Shoto, that’s a very kind thing to say.” You suddenly realize how very close Shoto’s face is to your own. He’s only a few breaths away. Shoto is a few inches taller than you, so you need to crane your neck in order to get the full picture of his beautiful face. You wonder nervously if he expects you to initiate – should you reach out and grab his face? Your heart starts beating much too fast and you see his intense eyes dart down to your lips, wanting. You take a step closer to him, leaning up to meet his face, and…
“Let’s get started.” He says abruptly, breaking the moment. He walks over to his closet and pulls out his bedroll, hastily moving to set up his sleeping space so that you’ll have a comfortable place to sit. Once he sets up the space, he takes a seat on the soft mattress and motions for you to join him. This wasn’t really what you were expecting, but you remember that Shoto is pretty sheltered. He clearly has a plan in mind here, so you decide to let him take the lead.
“Alright, before we start – I just want you to know that we can stop at any point you’d like. I want you to be comfortable here, so please let me know if at any time you feel like you don’t want to continue. Ok?”
You nod, appreciating the dialogue and Shoto’s forethought surrounding consent.
He takes a deep breath and closes his eyes. Leaning his head back, he exhales slowly through his nostrils. After a moment of deep breathing, his eyes flutter open. “It’s an exercise my father taught me for clearing my nerves before a battle.” He explains as he runs a nervous hand through his two-toned hair.
“Are you anticipating a battle here?” You tease, reaching over to place your hand on his thigh. Shoto eyes the hand curiously before matching your gaze.
“Of course not. But surprisingly – I have the same feeling of anxiety now that I usually have right before a sparring match.” His expression is stone cold serious, not even the hint of a joke this time.
“I understand that. It’s nerve wracking to kiss a person for the first time.” You quickly double back on your words. “N-not that I’m implying that this is your first kiss or anything, I-”
Shoto blinks. “Oh – this is my first kiss. I thought it was fairly obvious.”
“Oh! Oh, Todoroki – I didn’t realize!” You trip over your words a bit and it brings out a soft smile in Shoto.
“I think that’s why I’ve been so distracted lately. Once I know how it feels, maybe then I can move on and focus back on my training and studies. Is this not your first kiss?” He tilts his head to the side, questioning. You see no hint of jealousy in his eyes – he’s legitimately curious.
“N-no. I’ve kissed a few people before. Never anything serious! Just here and there at summer camp.” You smile weakly, face burning. Shoto nods appreciatively at your candid answer.
“That makes sense – you’re very competent at everything you do. And very attractive.” This last part brings a blush across Shoto’s pale cheeks. “I had assumed there were plenty of people who have wanted to be kissed by you.” The compliment is unexpected and it makes a laugh bubble up your throat. You start giggling and Shoto seems taken by surprise.
“Did I say something funny?”
“No – no! You’re just so sincere and sweet and I am so nervous right now. Shoto you’re competent and attractive, too. I hope that you know that!” This brings his smile back out again, like the sunshine after a long rainstorm.
“Why don’t we just get it over with, then? I’ve read a few articles and studied some movies and…well, I think I’m as prepared as I can be.” Shoto’s face is so open and earnest your heart squeezes in your chest. He studied for this??
Slowly, carefully, Shoto reaches out a delicate hand to cradle the side of your face. He scoots somewhat awkwardly closer to you, but the rest of his movements hold his typical grace. He leans forward, eyes half closed, and brings his lips to your own.
You dip your head to receive the kiss, and you feel his soft lips melt against yours. You close your eyes and revel in the feeling of his mouth. Everything about him is soft and electric at the same time – the points where your bodies are connected feel charged with some kind of buzzing energy that leaves your breathless. And just as soon as it’s begun – it’s over. A brief peck, a stolen moment in time. Shoto pulls away from you, eyes wide, as he catches his breath.
“So?” You ask, trying for nonchalance but failing when you realize your voice is just a hoarse whisper. “What did you think?”
“It’s…” Shoto looks at you thoughtfully, touching his fingers to his tingling lips. “It wasn’t what I was expecting. I just feel like I want to do it more – like I need to keep going.”
You laugh – “Did you really think you’d want to stop after your first kiss?” Shoto shrugs, unwilling to answer the question.
“Can we kiss again? Please. If you’d like to, that is?” He asks, and you note the want in his voice. You’ve never heard Shoto Todoroki sound desperate for anything in his life before this moment. You’re surprised at how he sounds fairly desperate for you.
You smile at him and lean in close, bringing your foreheads together. You can feel different temperatures playing across his skin as he works to keep his quirk in check as excitement roars across his body.
“Follow my lead, lover-boy.” You whisper, before crashing your lips together. You move at a faster pace this time, showing him how to slide his mouth against yours to have a proper make out. He picks it up quickly and absolutely relishes in it. His eyes are closed and his hands find either side of your face again. You let him hold you like that for a few minutes before you decide to take the reigns a bit more. You reach out to place a hand on his chest and softly push him away from you.
“Here – this will make things a lot easier.” You stand up and move to straddle him, slowly sliding into his lap and wrapping your legs around his back. You place his hands on your waist and wind your arms around his neck. “Comfortable?” He nods, his eyes blown wide and almost glassy with lust.
“This is okay?” He asks, looking down at the way his hands grip your hips.
“Absolutely. You’re going to want them there for leverage.”
“Leverage?” He asks weakly, his eyes trained on your lips.
“You’ll see.” You smile deviously as you take in how absolutely undone Shoto looks. “Okay, next step – have you done any research on French kissing?”
Shoto nods again, looking a bit uncertain. “I watched a romantic comedy online and at the end the main couple kissed that way.”
“Well it’s super easy – I’ll walk you through it.” You tilt your head towards his and melt your lips back together, starting out with a slow and soft kiss. As he begins to get comfortable with the pace of your kissing, you move to deepen it – running the tip of your tongue across his lips. He naturally opens his mouth to you, and you move so that your tongues meet. You guide him into a light dance, your kisses becoming more frantic as your mouths and tongues collide. This brings out a ferocity in Shoto that you hadn’t expected, and you feel his hands grip your hips with almost bruising force. You groan, turned on by the contact. You automatically rock your hips into his and he stills at the motion. You blush as you realize that you can feel Shoto’s dick becoming hard beneath you. Shit.
His hands fly off of your hips and he sits back, mortified.
“I’m so sorry-” you start to say as he runs his hand anxiously through his hair again. Shoto takes a deep breath and looks at you, eyes still fuzzy.
“Don’t be sorry! That was amazing, I just…didn’t want to make you uncomfortable.” He looks down between you pointedly. He doesn’t want you to get freaked out by the fact that he’s got a boner.
“Oh I’m not uncomfortable at all! Actually, quite the opposite.” This answer makes Shoto’s sculpted eyebrows fly up into his hair.
“Really?” He whispers.
“Yeah. It’s actually really hot.” You reach down and take his hands in yours, moving them back to your hips. You make piercing eye contact with Shoto as you roll your hips experimentally again – feeling his hardness even through your clothes. He groans at the contact this time, a soft sound that is just: So. Goddamn. Hot.
You grind against him again, picking up a steady rhythm as Shoto enthusiastically moves your hips. Struck by sudden inspiration, you lean forward to kiss a sloppy line up his neck. This draws a moan from Shoto that you weren’t expecting – low and sweet. You smile as you continue to kiss his neck, using your tongue when you find a particularly sensitive spot beneath his ear.
Shoto grabs your face with one hand and tilts your head up before crashing his lips back into yours. His kisses are heated and passionate as he bounces you on his lap, making you both see stars. You’re so wet you can feel yourself soaking through your panties. You pray that your school uniform pants won’t get damp beneath you – how embarrassing would that be?! At the same time - you don’t give a damn; Shoto’s mouth and his hands and his dick feel far too good. At the moment kissing Shoto Todoroki feels like the only thing you were put on this goddamn earth to do.
Tentatively, you feel Shoto’s hands wander up from your hips. You moan into his mouth as his hands find your breasts. “How is this?” He whispers hoarsely, running delicate fingertips across the peaks of your breasts. “Is this okay? I can stop if you want me to.” You moan your consent enthusiastically, and when he begins to softly knead your boobs over your shirt, your hormones fully take the wheel.
You hop off your classmate so you can quickly unbutton your shirt – your tie flying off as you work. Shoto remains sitting on the floor and does the same with his own uniform. In a moment he is sitting shirtless and beautiful before you, chest heaving as he works to catch his breath. He stares at you with bright eyes as you stand above him in nothing but a bra and UA’s uniform slacks. He has never seen a woman with so little clothing on before, and he is in awe.
You kneel down beside him on the bedroll and reach out to touch his perfect body. Your hand hovers above his perfectly sculpted abs and you look up at him, eyes asking permission. He nods, giving you his blessing to touch. You smooth your fingertips lightly across the defined planes of his chest and abs, marveling in all that he is. Your palm comes to rest against his chest and you feel his heartbeat – a quick staccato beneath your delicate hand. You push him lightly so that he moves to lie on the ground before you.
“You alright with all this?” You whisper, moving slowly to straddle him on the ground.
“If I get to have you on top of me again – absolutely.” And he grins – a genuine smile that radiates comfort. You’ve never seen a look like that before on Shoto’s face and it stops you in your tracks. You just want to bask in the glow of the rare gift of his beaming face.
After a moment, you collect yourself and move so that you’re on all fours and hovering over him. You shiver – you’ve never been so close to someone in this way before. He seems to notice your hesitation.
“You look cold – do you want to grab a blanket?” He reaches up and runs his hands up and down your arms, giving you more goose bumps. You nod, and he reaches to grab a thick grey knit blanket that’s folded neatly to your left. He pulls you down to lay on top of him and easily casts the blanked across your intertwined bodies. The knit feels luxurious and expensive – and it smells deliciously like Shoto. A scent that’s a mixture of sandalwood and fresh sheets wafts around you. It’s comfortable and warm and you feel so, so happy to be sharing this moment with Shoto.
He wraps his arms around you and feels himself get hard again at the delicate feeling of your bare skin against his own. He pulls you in for a kiss – and this time the passion is slow, sensual. You’ve never kissed someone like this before – like you have all the time in the world. He moves his hands up and down your bare back beneath the blanket – warming you up. He’s keeping his ice quirk at bay – both of his hands are the perfect temperature as they run across your soft, supple skin. His hands come to rest on your lower back as he moves to experimentally kiss down your collarbone.
“Oh! Oh, Shoto, yes.” Is all you can say. The use of his given name seems to turn him on even more, because his kisses become sloppier and he runs the edge of his teeth against your skin. He continues to kiss down your shoulder, pausing for only a moment in order to roll you both over so that he can have a turn on top. You gasp at the sudden movement – the dynamics have unexpectedly shifted and Shoto is in total control.
He gazes down at you, shifting the blanket so that it doesn’t get tangled between your bodies.
“You’re so beautiful.” He says, a note of wonder in his voice. “Your skin is so soft…I never realized how great it would be to touch you.” He runs a light fingertip across the delicate skin of your neck and across the expanse of your collarbone. He watches as he runs his finger down the slope of one of your breasts, stopping when he meets the soft cotton of your bra.
“Can we take this off?” He whispers, moving to palm your breast over the delicate white material. You nod, and prop yourself up so you can reach behind yourself to unclip the clothing. With a light “pop!” the bra clip comes undone and Shoto helps you discard the item. He takes in your breasts with a look of absolute amazement and cautiously reaches out to touch them. He gently runs the palm of his hand across your right breast experimentally. You gasp at the contact, and he nervously glances at your face to make sure you’re not in any discomfort. You smile at him, encouraging him to keep going. He kneads the breast in his strong hand a few times before experimentally rolling his thumb over your nipple. You gasp at the contact as pleasure surges through you – you had no idea you were so sensitive. Shoto repeats the motion, earning a soft moan. He smiles at the praise – unexpectedly mischievous as he moves so that he’s kneeling over you, able to tackle a breast with each hand. He goes to work pinching and massaging and rolling your breasts between deft fingers, drawing the sweetest sounds from your mouth.
“Shoto!” You cry out as he moves to spread more kisses across your neck as his left hand plays with one of your breasts. You reach down and squeeze the muscular plane of his ass, begging him to grind into you. He gets the message loud and clear – moving against you gently so that you can feel his hardness graze against you.
He’s causing so many delicious sensations across your body with his lips, hands, hips, groin – it’s almost too much. You feel like you might drown in him when suddenly –
A knock on the door causes you both to still.
“Todoroki?” Mr. Aizawa’s voice is muffled behind the door. You’re both rigid with fear. Shoto’s lips are at your neck and his breath tickles your bare skin. Your fist is tightly squeezed around his left ass cheek. You stare at the ceiling as you start to panic, wondering wildly what you’re supposed to do in this situation. Oh shit oh shit oh shit.
Mr. Aizawa knocks on the door again. “Todoroki – your father is here to see you.”
“My father?!” Shoto blurts out before he can stop himself. He scrambles off of you and looks around in a panic. “Why’s my father here?”
The walls seem to be thinner than you thought, because Mr. Aizawa supplies an answer from the other side of the locked door.
“Endeavor had a press conference at a hotel down the road this morning. He wanted to check in and discuss internships. I left him waiting in the common area. I’ll be in my office if you want to grab any internship paperwork while he’s here. I wouldn’t keep him waiting, kid.”
“Of course – thank you Mr. Aizawa!” Todoroki calls through the door awkwardly, listening as your teacher’s footsteps recede into the distance.
You and Shoto stare at each other in absolute horror.
“Do you think he heard us? Do you think h-he knows?” You whisper, panic lacing your voice.
Shoto shakes his head no as he gathers up his shirt and shakily tries to re-button it. “No – I don’t think he was out there long enough to hear anything incriminating.”
You let out a breath of anxious air, reaching for your discarded bra. “Thank goodness.” You re-clip your bra and shrug on your shirt.
“Endeavor is here?” You eye Shoto with concern as he dawns his tie and straightens his hair in a wall mirror on the back of his door.
“My old man likes to pop up at inconvenient times.” Content with his hair, he looks down at you. You’ve started to fold up his blanked and bedroll, patting down your own hair along the way.
“We should probably talk about what just happened…” He starts to say, but you shush him as you hear heavy footsteps coming from down the hall.
“Shoto!” A booming voice rings through the hallway, sending shivers up your spine. The heavy footsteps come to a stop right outside Shoto’s dorm door. The doorknob rattles as someone tries the lock. “How dare you keep me waiting!”
“I’ll be out in a minute, old man!” Shoto calls back bitingly. He glares at the door, thankful for the meager lock. He turns to look at you, and his eyes fill with panic. You scan the room for a place to hide – there is absolutely nowhere to conceal yourself in Shoto’s sparse, plain room.
Suddenly, you’re struck with inspiration – you point to the window. Shoto nods in agreement, dashing to grab your things from where they lay abandoned at the threshold of the door.
Quietly, you pad over to the window and pull back the curtains by a foot. You unlatch the window and slide it softly open before hoisting yourself into the wide window frame. It’s lucky you’re not afraid of heights – because Todoroki’s room is on the fifth floor. There is a small escape ladder for fire emergencies (you smile at the irony of Endeavor being the fire emergency in this case). You move to settle your feet on the top rung of the ladder, with plans to climb your way back to the ground so you can re-enter the dorm building from the back.
Shoto leans out the window and hangs your messenger bag around your shoulder.
“Find me later so we can discuss this.” He says, looking apprehensively over his shoulder as his father continues to bang on the door and callout his name. “I’m sorry this ended with you having to sneak out the window like some sort of criminal.”
“Ah, it’s no big deal! Makes it more exciting.” You grin and he smiles back. He leans forward and presses a small kiss to the corner of your mouth before moving back to close the window.
As he slides the glass closed, he says to you “I don’t think this is going to help me refocus. If anything, I’m more distracted than ever.” You give him a wink as he shuts the window soundly, drawing the curtains to cover your escape.
Hastily, you climb down 5 stories worth of thin metal ladder, landing gracefully in the soft spring grass. You walk to the dorm’s back entrance and let yourself in, walking past the laundry room and up towards the common area. Mina waves at you as she tosses some clothes into the washing machine, and you say a silent prayer thanking the powers that be that none of your friends had come looking for you while you spent your blissful hour hidden away, half-naked and moaning, in Shoto Todoroki’s room.
You climb the stairs two at a time until you hear the voice of the Number 2 Hero grumbling in the common area. Curious, you peak around the corner to see Shoto and his father seated on one of the couches, sorting through paperwork. Shoto has a dead look behind his eyes as his father lectured him about the importance of networking. He nods blankly a few times before his eyes catch sight of your small frame hiding around the corner. His entire face softens at the sight of you. Endeavor notices and turns to see what’s captured his son’s attention.
“You there! Are you a member of Class 1A?” He booms out, almost polite in his delivery. You walk out into the room, drawing yourself up to your full height.
“Dad – this is my classmate Y/N. She lives on the girl’s side of the dorm. Her quirk is extremely powerful.”
“It’s nice to meet you Mr. Endeavor.” You say, trying not to blush at Shoto’s compliment. Endeavor waves you off with a fiery hand.
“Ah, that’s right. I recognize you from the Sport’s Festival. Your quirk and fighting style were both quite impressive.” He looks at you appraisingly. “Are you a close friend of Shoto’s?”
“She is.” Shoto answers smoothly. “Actually, she’s been tutoring me a bit lately on some techniques I’m not familiar with. She’s a greatteacher.” The subtext is not lost on you.
“Surely you don’t need help in your studies, Shoto. You’re at the top of your class.” Endeavor says gruffly, looking to his son for further explanation.
“Just showing him a few moves I picked up in one of my martial arts classes, sir! Shoto picks up new techniques like a Pro.”
Endeavor seems mollified by this answer. “Of course he does. He’s on track to become the best of the best.” The hero claps his hand on Shoto’s shoulder proudly, and you smile weakly at the discomfort that flashes across Shoto’s eyes.
“Well – I’ll let you both get back to your work! Shoto – if you want to practice those techniques again later, I’ll be in the library until 8 tonight.”
You see Shoto ever so slightly lick his bottom lip. His face is tinged with the lightest of blushes.
“Got it. I’ll see you there, Y/N.”
You have a feeling that Shoto isn’t going to be able to focus on his studies for quite some time.

shoto, very suggestive, mention of cunninglingus, 500ish words
Tumblr media
Thinking about Shoto, your sweet, naive boyfriend, who just doesn't get it most of the time, and how he comes to you one day, asks in the sweetest tone, in the most unbothered way imaginable, if he can eat you out.
And by god does it take every bit of your patience not to call up every last friend of his until you find exactly which one of them put that phrase in his vocabulary.
Instead, you press the pages of the book you were reading closed, turn to him calmly though you're feeling anything but, fold your hands in your lap as if you're heart isn't running a marathon in your chest.
You'd been intimate before, but never like that.
Wandering hands, and heated kisses, and seeing each other in your most raw, and intimate state is one thing - Shoto tasting you is another. Not that you didn't want it, not that he didn't want it either. You just didn't want to go too far, too quick, didn't want to push him out of his comfort zone, didn't want to mess up something so good.
It's why you don't take him seriously when he asks something so out-of-pocket, suggestive in ways you've never known him to be. Why you're absolutely, surely, positive, he isn't asking permission to be in between your thighs, why you're sure he must've heard something wrong, got the meaning twisted somewhere along the way. It's the very same reason you straighten your shoulders to hide the way your knees press together when he adds a little "please" to the end.
"Shoto," you say with as much indifference as you can muster. "That doesn't mean what you think it does, I'm sure you probably think it means to go out to eat, or that-"
He shakes his head, lays a hand just above your knee, squeezes gently until whatever excuse you were blubbering dies on your tongue.
"That's not what it means," he says in the exact tone you use when explaining something obvious to him. "Do you want me to explain it to you?"
You hate how innocently he tilts his head, red hair falling softly over one eye, hate how the butterflies burst, warmth spreading over your cheeks and down between your thighs, because you know he doesn't mean it like that.
"No, Shoto, I-" you sigh, carefully thumb the cover of your book. "It's just, I don't think you know what it means."
You think you hear something like amusement rumble in his chest; it's rare, Shoto's laughter. You've heard it on occasion, fell for the soft reverberation and crescent-moon crinkle to his eyes. But this, this is different.
"I know what it means," he says, matter-of-factly, small, crooked smile tugging the corner of his lips.
He drops to his knees, and you promptly forget how to breathe. His dual gaze finds you from beneath dark lashes; one bright and blue, and eager, the other grey like smoke, clouded with something imploring - it fills your lungs until you can feel just how much he wants you with every bated breath.
His hands are warm when he kneads the fat of your hips between slender, calloused fingers. "So can I?"
Maybe Shoto gets it more often than you give him credit for.

shoto todoroki crushing on you
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: shoto todoroki x gn!reader
tags: fluff, inexperienced shoto, confession
Tumblr media
shoto is going to be a little bit confused about his feelings for you at first
he really likes you! he definitely likes you more than he likes midoriya or momo or any of his other friends
but he's never been in love before and he isn't sure if what he's feeling is how love is supposed to feel like
he's probably going to do some research on his own, before he talks to his friends about it
he's going to watch youtube videos like "10 signs you are in love" or "how to talk to your crush" to get a better idea
once he thinks he figured everything out, he starts to tell his friends about his feelings for you, asking them for advice how to confess to you
the poor guy has zero dating experience, despite tons of girls actively crushing on him–
izuku and the others are going to try to help shoto out with you. they'll set the two up for situation where you are alone and they'll tell him what to say or do to win you over
every time he's about to talk to you, they are hyping him up and encouraging him to finally confess to you!
shoto isn't particularly shy to talk to you, he is just unsure if he's saying or doing the right thing
he decides that the best way to confess to you is to do it the classic way:
he'll put a letter in your locker, asking you to meet him behind the school by the end of the day
he'll wait there for you, with either a single flower or a small box of chocolate that he bought the day before
he doesn't want it to be anything big, otherwise you would noticed it right away behind his back–
once you arrive there, he finally confesses to you
he'll tell you when he fell for you, what made him fall for you and by the end of it all, he'll ask you to be his significant other…

PLATINUM IT IS!๑♡՞
in which, your boyfriend stumbles into your shared home, drunk
and keeps mumbling about something..

aged up
Warnings: Intoxication, Love Drunk + Actually Drunk Shoto, Fluff, Puppy love 🫶.. and spelling mistakes
❥ · ゚₊ You were patiently waiting for your boyfriend to come to your dorm room, he had been spending the afternoon with the guys somewhere. although you and the girls also went out, you had gotten home way before he did. it had just been a few minutes ago when you received a text from izuku, informing you that he'd be dropping your boyfriend off at your door. as apparently, he's been fussing about wanting to see you ever since they left the restaurant.
the green haired boy also told you that your boyfriend was drunk, so you had enough minutes to prepare your room. taking a sip of the cold water you placed on the counter, you turned when a knock came from your door. you opened it to reveal your pouting boyfriend with his arm slung on izuku's shoulder.
your shoto's face instantly perks up at the sight of you. laughing as you picture his metaphorical tail wagging a mile per second, izuku sends you a tired smile. almost like a reflex, shoto latches himself onto you, happily nuzzling into your neck. izuku waves you goodbye and whispers a 'good luck' before he closes the door. you fumble to lock it with your boyfriend putting all his weight onto you.
"my lovelyy.. i'm homeeee," he slurs, tightly hugging your waist to keep you close to him.
you giggle as you brushed his hair out of his face to reveal his dazed smile, "i can see that, my love," you whisper as you press a kiss to his nose.
he all but hums, closing his eyes in bliss. as he slumps his figure onto you, he softly mumbles something into the crown of your head. leaning up to kiss him along his jaw, you whisper and ask him to repeat what he said.
he lifted his head up and quietly recited his words, "my darling,, let's get married," he suggested with a caring smile on his face.
your eyes widened, struggling to respond as you nearly fumbled while carrying your boyfriend's weight.
"oh shoto.. honey, you're not thinking clearly, let's get you some water and then to bed," you muttered, feeling your palms getting moist by how flustered your boyfriend could make you even when drunk.
"I memorized your ring size way back when we started holding hands,, so now you gotta tell me, pretty.." shoto murmured to you in a hushed whisper.
you dragged the stumbling boy towards the kitchen, pouring water into a glass, you lifted it towards your boyfriend's lips, "and what should i tell you, handsome?"
with a gentle smile, he leaned away from the glass, "you need to tell me what ring you want," he dropped that information as if it was nothing and leaned toward the glass of water in your stilled hand.
"i-.. pardon..?" you blinked feverishly, did he just say what you thought he did??
he kept silent as he gulped down the water you held up to him, letting out a delighted sigh when finished, "what do you want your ring made of? is there any diamond you have in mind?"
you stiffly placed the glass into the sink, shutting off the lights behind you and sauntering the both of you towards your shared bedroom. zoned out, you only snapped back when your boyfriend repeatedly poked your cheek with a noticeable pout on his face.
"i want my answer, dearest.." he seemed to sulk when you didnt answer his question.
"shoto.. i'd rather have this conversation when you're sober,"
"love, please, any diamond you could be thinking isn't out of my reach,"
"i really think we should talk about this in the morning-"
"there's no limit to any brand sweetness, i could even call up someone in the states-"
"darling, let's get you to bed-"
"y/n.."
hearing him say your name crumbled your resistance instantly, sheepishly turning to face him, you shrunk at the saddened yet stern stare he gave you. giving up on avoiding the question, you sighed and turned away to hopefully hide from his pricing gaze.
"i'll take platinum.. any brand is okay.." not even noticing how his entire being perked up, you turned back as you felt him lift himself off of you.
he stumbled and flopped onto your shared bed with a happy and satisfied smile. he snuggled deeper into the pillows, as if you not answering his questions were the only thing keeping him up tonight.
yet even if this was cute, which it was, you realized something..
he didnt even brush his teeth yet.

Chapter 10 : | Series Masterlist
Tumblr media
Things turned out to be great, it seems like no one suspected me for now. It was satisfying how everything was at this moment. Shoto held me by my waist as we made our way towards the main hall.
Class 1-A and B trailing behind after us as we led them to our destination. Everything was truly great, and for a moment I forgot all of my worries. We all laughed and passed around jokes about Monoma and Bakugo who were in the back of the group currently bickering about class 1-A’s victory.
Their friends had to hold them back from tearing each other apart. ‘Poor Kirishima and Tetsutetsu.’ I laughed along with them, Shoto smiling beside me. Mina who was at my right began to joke about some stuff.
By the time we were done with the whole competition it was already nearing 5 PM. I continued to joke around with all the girls and some of the guys. At this moment I was so happy, but something happened. And then I realized, happiness doesn’t last forever. It’s only temporary, if you want it as well. You’re going to have to fight for it.
.
.
.
.
.
.
A creature popped out from the direction of the cabins, it was limping slowly towards us. It had the form of a human, but you could barely call it that anymore. Its shirt had rips and tears at the hems and blood scattered around it, most notably from his shirt and mouth. The smell of rotting corpse was prominent in the air, whilst groans and moans of pain sounded off from the creature.
The creature looked familiar to everyone, but then again they couldn’t be sure. It was too different from the Nakamura Haru that they knew, the smartest boy in their entire grade. But no one could deny the strikingly disheveled bright purple hair that looked almost exactly the same as his, that hair color was what made Nakamura stuck out like a sore thumb. But what made Nakamura Haru stick out to both Shoto and (Y/n) was the fact they could recall that he was the cashier that flirted with (Y/n), that was just recently as well.
The pupils of the creature were clouded over by some white mist, as though it was in a cataract. He was deathly pale and his blood red veins were prominently visible, especially in his eyes. His face looked like it was dead, cuts and bruises all over. The heavy smell of metallic broke through the air.
If you looked closely at him you could spot the red blood dripping from his mouth with bits of food all over as if that was the aftermath of him throwing up. Upon close inspection of his neck, you could spot the remains of a bloody gauze pad and pieces of medical tape on it, which was forcefully ripped off of him. Exposing the massive chunk of missing flesh on his neck, with dark bite marks surrounding the area.
It was patient zero or otherwise known as the first infected…
However I could tell he hasn’t turned yet officially, because his color of his pupils were still somewhat visible. Not fully white and because of the fact that he hasn’t lunged at someone yet in the intentions of eating them, he might be dead but his consciousness was still present. That is why I hadn’t made my move. Partially this was also because I was contemplating on letting go of this life that I built with everyone.
Regardless if there was an antidote for the virus right now with me. He’s gone too far for us to save him, the only thing we could do for him now was to put him out of his misery. To make sure he doesn’t harm anyone else, to make sure the virus doesn’t spread. Once the virus takes over, there won’t be anyone stopping him. Except for me or a gun… If he manages to bite someone as well, I’ll have to either find an antidote or kill them before they turn.
“Ah! What is that?!” Uraraka screamed when she set her eyes on the creature.
“Holy shit! It looks like it’s barely holding up!” A random guy from class-B yelled
“Someone get some help!” Mina shook me
“Oh God, I think I’m gonna be sick!”
“He looks dead!”
“He’s a fucking zombie!” They weren’t wrong
“We must assess the situation first!” Iida yelled and karate chop the air
“We must inform the teachers as soon as possible and bring him to recovery girl!” Kendo backed Iida up
“Shit. But it’s so soon…” I whispered frustratingly
“What’s so soon?” Shoto asked but I didn’t reply.
Panic ensued behind us as they glanced at the creature. Screams of fear and terror littered the air, causing them to grab the attention of the other classes, the teachers, and camp counselors. I needed to form a plan and fast! He’s going to turn full at any moment now!
‘I don’t have any weapons on me or anything to tie him down with as of right now, fuck! I let my guard down!’ I began looking around for anything. Then my eyes caught on Shoto’s belt. That’ll have to do for now I guess.
“Oh my God! Isn’t that Nakamura?!” A class-C student yelled
“Nakamura?! Are you alright?! We checked the cabins a while ago but you weren’t there!” A few people tried to go to Nakamura but ultimately failed.
Nemuri-san or better known as Midnight-sensei, pulled back the students who I assumed were Nakamura’s friends, directing them to head to the main building, “Students get back! We will assist, Nakamura!”
“It looks like he’s sick, so I’ll need you all to wear a face mask to ensure you don’t get sick as well.” Principal Nezu announced, still calm as ever despite his face contorting into that of worry, “Present Mic please lead all of these students into the main hall. Vlad, please get the umbrella corporation men.” Principal Nezu shooed the teachers to do the task he had given them.
As I looked around I saw it, his eyes fully turned white. ‘There’s no more time to think! Everything’s happening so fast! So just fucking move!’ I screamed at myself internally. In truth I was also scared to accept this reality and that’s why I couldn’t move or think fast enough. Midnight appeared from in front of us and unfortunately, I was too late. Nakamura or what once was him, screeched as he jumped at Midnight, latching onto her shoulder effectively pinning her down.
It was eating her flesh, tearing apart whatever it could sink its teeth into. The anticipation and fear before was still manageable before this but now a full on panic ensued and so Shoto pulled me with him towards safety. But I couldn’t do that, I had to handle this before the situation worsens than it already has. I stopped running with Shoto, the distance we covered from that scene wasn’t exactly far. We maybe only took 15 steps before I deliberately stopped.
The crowd of students around us were in a rush to get away as Present Mic, other teachers, and class representatives tried their best to lead and help the students towards the main building, where they would board up the doors and not get out until it was deemed safe.
Despite everyone’s best efforts to stay calm, in this situation it wasn’t an option. It was like kill or be killed, stampedes of people came. Unfortunately me and Shoto were caught in it and had almost been trampled, however we were pushed apart by the mere force of everyone. I tried to yell to everyone to keep calm, yelling out also the names of all my classmates and friends, searching for their response so that I could at least know that they were alive.
It was hard to tell anyone’s voices in the middle of the raging sea of terrified people as screams were all over the place that I couldn’t even hear my own voice over the other people. Despair and fear filled the air, and no matter how hard I silently pray for the umbrella corporation men to come and help us despite it destroying my pride. It was undeniable that if they were here the situation would improve no matter how incompetent or weak they may be.
Some people got trampled in the stampede, resulting in their deaths. It was disgusting how they were lying on the ground, footprints all over them yet nobody could help them. Others who were luckily not caught in the stampede had either been bitten by Nakamura, hiding, or puking.
I felt all hope was gone but I couldn’t give up just yet! What about all those smiles and the memories given to me this year! Will I let them fall down the drain?! No! ‘I promise! No matter what I’ll save everyone who I can! I promise to help you all, just as you all helped me before!’
I couldn’t stop this stampede, that’s for sure. But I could help lessen it. But I’d need to get my classmates out first. Quickly thinking up a plan I put it into action. Using the person in front of me, I grabbed their shoulders and used them as a base so I could launch myself.
I managed to launch myself far away and started to help the teachers direct the students to the main building, I did this by cutting off a large group of students and yelling at them to help everyone, and if they were to disagree I instilled fear in them. A death glare and bloodlust aura was enough to let them know not to mess with me.
And so despite their fear, they followed my order. Now the burden of the situation was lessened. I pulled out all the class 1 students I could find, being very grateful that they were all still alive. But I almost wept tears when I saw Shoto, he was well and breathing! He ran to me and pulled me in a tight hug. I hugged him back but I knew I had to handle the situation with Nakamura before it gets even worse. So despite not wanting to, I pulled back from Shoto and hardened my mind, completely focused on what I needed to do.
“Are you alright?! Do I need to carry you?!” Shoto yelled looking at my body to see if I had any injuries.
“Shoto, I need you-“ Before I could finish my hurried sentence, I was cut off by another scream, Nakamura had taken another victim.
“Later, okay! We need to get out of here first!” He yelled angrily, almost picking me up to run off to safety.
I wasted too much time, I need to help now. And so I dropped to my knees and quickly undid Shoto’s belt, to which he grabbed at my hands to get me to stop. But I simply refused, continuing to try to take his belt.
“(Y/n)! My love, if you want to, we’ll do it later! Right now is a bad time! I need to get you to safety!”
“Bullshit Shoto! Get your mind out of the gutter, I only need your belt!” He was shocked that I yelled at him, but he got it because of the severity of the situation.
“What do you even plan on doing?!” He screamed trying to get me to stop, but to his surprise I was strong enough to hold him back, as I finally grabbed his belt from him.
“Izuku! Take Shoto to safety!” I screamed as Midoriya did what I asked him to do.
Since I was the one who helped lessen the burden of the stampede, Midoriya fully trusted in me. Izuku got the hint that I knew what I was doing so he obliged in doing my request also truly not wanting to do it. Kirishima had to come including Iida who saw what was happening, instead of trying to stop me, they helped Midoriya hold Shoto back. Trying to drag him to the main building was almost impossible as he was practically built so it’d take a lot to hold him back.
Shoto was scared of what would happen to you, his girlfriend! The love of his life…! So his friends should understand his feelings yet, they didn’t let him go to you! They didn’t even try to get you back, the teachers were trying desperately to hold back Nakamura but ultimately ending up in them getting bitten, so far he had bit more than 4 people for sure but they couldn’t be certain at this point as bodies were dropping quickly by the second. They were sure Nakamura wasn’t this strong before, it was like he gained super strength and that’s why they ultimately got bitten.
Running over to the scene I used the buckle of the belt to hit Nakamura in the face with a swing, so powerful that it knocked him back and out of Aizawa-sensei’s grip just the right timing before Nakamura could sink his teeth into him. It happened so quickly that sensei didn’t have any time to protest when I made my moves.
“Sensei, let me handle this. Just help by finding some rope or chains to hold them down. Don’t get bitten or you’ll become infected.” I was calm, too calm.
“(L/n)! Get to safety!” Sensei replied
“No time to argue or explain, but we need to kill him or at least hold him down and I’m the only one here who’s capable of doing that!”
Secretly this scared sensei, at how much information I poured out. I pushed him back, not enough to hurt him but just to hurry him up. The other teachers also saw what happened and decided to trust their precious student seeing as I’m the only one who seems to know how to handle the situation. They didn’t want to trust this situation to their student, but what else could they do exactly?
Nakamura was powerful and it seems like nobody but me could hold him down. The U.A.’s teacher hands were tied. They needed to make a decision quickly, or more deaths will stain their bloodied hands… So against their will and good conscience, they placed their faith on me. Hoping that they made the right decision and that it wouldn’t lead to me getting bitten as well.
“Tch, fine. Be careful, I’ll look for something to help you!” He yelled, running in the direction of the activities area
“Preferably a gun!” I added
It wasn’t long before Nakamura stood up from the hit, his intentions to devour my flesh unwavering. Luckily for him, today I was going to do my best to put him out of his misery. He moved quickly to lunge at me but I dodged him faster, going up from behind him, grabbing his nape and waist. I threw him over my back. The impact was so strong that you could hear the sounding of his ribs cracking.
Before he could move, I pinned him down and flipped him so that he was facing the dirt, putting both of his hands together, using the belt to secure them so that he wouldn’t be able to hurt anyone anymore. Now I just need something to kill him with. He kept on struggling under me, turning his head from side to side to try and bite my delicious flesh. Being pissed off at this I grabbed his hair easily and lifted him up.
Then quickly I smashed his head to the ground, it should have put a lot of damage to his head, but not enough to actually kill him just managing to knock him out. I’m not sure how long though so I’ll need to act fast with the others, judging on the blood that kept on spilling nonstop from Nakamura’s head then I’d give maybe around 2 minutes tops. For now my next top priority is the handle the people he bit next. That is if they turn quickly, if not then good.
My senses were heightened towards the situation so I wasn’t paying attention to how everyone had stopped and stared at me in shock at what had happened. Shoto who was still protesting and trying to get out of his friend's grip at the time, stopped struggling when he saw how I handled the situation.
I knew what I was doing for sure now.
“So this is what you were hiding...” Shoto whispered in fear
He definitely wasn’t expecting it. When you said you trained endlessly at him, he’s now beginning to think his training didn’t cut half of yours. Sure he was strong, but you literally broke Nakamura’s ribs. He didn’t even think he would be able to do something like that. So how strong were you actually?! Also both of your will have lots to talk about, right now he’s really worried about your safety.
Next thing everyone knew was that Midnight sensei turned quickly into a monster, a zombie. Blood dripped from her mouth and she ran towards you, screeched out incoherent words. However just like before you stepped out of the way and roundhouse kicked her to the head. Making her fly off and hit the trunk of a tree. Forcefully knocking the wind out of her.
“I need a weapon!” I yelled out to anybody who was listening
Midnight sensei seemed to have a great stamina and endurance because your move did not hinder her for long. The minute she caught her breath, her eyes which were crying blood glared daggers into you. Clearly you had her complete attention, so you took a fighting stance, preparing for the worst to come.
“(L/n)! Catch!” Aizawa yelled throwing a line of chain at you
You caught it, and looked down for a second. It wasn’t too long, just enough to tie a person or two to a tree, but it made up for its size and thickness. Grabbing around the middle of the chain using the end, you twirled it around to your side. Preparing the momentum for what you were going to do.
Midnight got off the tree but it seems like her legs were fractured in the process, as she had to crawl towards me, then despite all odds she stood up. Which was a terrible idea because her bones became ever more fractured and broke through her muscles and skin. The bloody bone stuck out of her, and to make matters worse it was for both of her legs.
She ran towards me, not letting her broken bones hold her back. Using all the built up momentum I had with the chain I threw it towards her, wrapping her neck in it. She tried to untangle it but failed miserably as she just kept on clawing at it instead of unwrapping it. So while the chain was wrapped around her neck, I ran towards the trees she hit previously.
Throwing my end of the chain over a large tree branch, I grabbed the end of it and pulled, hauling it over my shoulder and walking to the opposite direction. Midnight’s body was lifted into the air, and she struggled to breathe. Clawing at the chains even more, she screeched and roared in pain but it didn’t even sound anything remotely human.
Opening her mouth, 4 weird separate things that looked somewhat similar to a tongues or that of a plant's leaves/petals which were lined up with large sets of spiky teeth. A tongue that looked like it belonged to a snake slithered out of the small mouth opening. It tried its best to free her from the wretched chains that prevented her from chomping down on our flesh and brains. Yet it was unsuccessful with every helpless movement it made.
Now I just needed something to pin the chain down with so that I could deal with the other 2 people who were bitten. Hopefully they hadn’t turned… Welp there goes those thoughts down the drain. Another person literally rose from the dead. Having the exact same symptoms as Midnight and Nakamura had.
“You have gotta be shitting me...” I groaned but then a brilliant idea came to mind, “Hey, shitface! Come at me!” I screamed, grabbing its attention easily
Instead of charging at other people who aren’t able to protect themselves. It charged at full force towards me with no strategy behind its moves. This fight was beginning to feel easier and boring by the minute. ‘If all they’re gonna do is charge at me, then this should be an easy win. At least I hope it’ll be, we still need to deal with the consequences after the situation has been handled. Not to mention the fact that yesterday there were so many umbrella corporation men stationed all over the camp. So how the Hell are they not on top of the situation!’
The answer was simple, and even I knew it but tried to refuse it in hopes that they would be there to save us. It was silly, but I only believed it because of Chris Redfeild. The Umbrella Corporation orchestrated this whole ruse. And if I don’t play my cards correctly, then I’ll fall back into the clutches of the deepest parts of their trap. Not to mention I’d also be dragging down everyone into this mess. Especially Shoto.
‘God! This is not how I wanted him to find out! If only I had the courage to tell him the truth…’ O nearly cried, but the fear of him hating me never ends and so I decided to conceal the truth. Thinking that it was the best choice for us, now I realized that it wasn’t my decision alone to make. After this whole thing is over, I was going to be telling the truth from now on.
“H-Help!” A distorted monstruos version of the once human spewed out.
It seemed as though they were trying to fight back against the infection, the parasite… However, we all know that won’t last because I’m the end, they’ll turn in mere moments from now, or it may be quicker than we anticipated. Honestly it all depends on their immune system response and their will to live. No one would be able to overcome this virus, not unless you were (L/n) (Y/n)… Me, and that’s why I’m so worried about my friends.
The virus took control over their mind and body completely. Still charging at me, instead of moving out of the way like I usually would do, I kicked it’s left foot harshly causing it to buckle to the ground. Taking advantage of the situation quickly before the tides could turn, getting on its back. Placing both my feet on their back and pulled back on their hair, forcefully revealing its neck and face to me.
I wrapped the ends of the chain that I was still holding onto the whole time around their necks. Easily missing their attempts to try to bite me. Getting off of them rather quickly right after I secured the chains, I jumped a back handspring off their back.
Which in result since my weight wasn’t helping to hold them down anymore, they flew up with many screeches of pain following. Both them and Midnight were now next to each other, the only thing dangling them up was the chains around their necks that hung over the trees' big and high branches.
Now that I finally finished that, I looked for any more people who had been bitten by Nakamura. There were many more… But they were lying dead on the ground not yet transformed so I was safe for now. Speaking of Nakamura, he sounded off from behind me. I was right, it only took around 2-3 minutes give or take, for him to recover from the impact.
“Looks like you haven’t had enough yet!” I screamed at him, preparing for when he’d charge at me.
“Stop it!”
The brunette camp counselor named Watanabe Ren yelled in fear but managing to hide it well enough, trying to diffuse the situation. He ran into the situation, shakily holding a shotgun in his hand. An unloaded one at that. The rest of the camp counselors followed after him though unlike him they weren't loaded with any weapons. In Watanabe’s other hand held some real shotgun ammo. ‘Thank God!’
“Shoot him now and aim for his head!” I screamed at him
“We aren’t going to kill him or any of the others! This is just wrong!” A camp counselor whom I wasn’t introduced to yet tried to make their way towards me before being pulled back by Aizawa sensei who had my back.
He pushed the camp counselors back before they could stop me, other teachers of ours following in his lead and supporting him, “We’ve got them, (L/n)! You better deal with the situation!”
“Will do!”
“Oh, you’re not going anywhere! Just who the Hell do you think you are?!” Another random camp counselor that I didn’t know yelled at me.
“What-t the Hell is going on?! Someone p-please explain! Watanabe fearfully asked, staring directly at Nakamura, their eyes locking.
Frustrated with the event I growled at him, “I’ll explain later, just kill him now before it’s all too late!”
“No, we want answers now!” The blonde camp counselor Yoshida Akane, inserted frustratingly
Before I could answer her, Nakamura didn’t waste any time in running towards them as they were closer to him and in many numbers. In fear, Watanabe tried loading the gun as fast as possible, but it was an impossible task when he was shaking too much. Using this as a distraction. I immediately scanned the area for any possible weapons to use.
‘Fucking finally! Bingo!’ I yelled in my head running over to a metal baseball bat that was lying on the ground randomly. I grabbed it and ran towards the camp counselors by now though, Watanabe Ren had been pinned to the ground by Nakamura. But he wasn’t bitten yet for he had used the gun to shield himself from Nakamura.
He held the gun horizontally with 2 hands, whilst Nakamura chomped on it. With every ounce of strength he had, he struggled against the monster. The monster seeing as he couldn’t bite him, clawed into the counselors shoulders, easily tearing it apart and drawing blood.
Though that wasn’t the only place hold was drawing out from, Nakamura’s mouth also had blood flowing down nonstop from it and just like Midnight, something horrific came out of his mouth and this time because of that, it was able to throw the gun out of the counselors hands and wrap itself around his head.
Behind Nakamura was the blonde counselor who tried to pull him away from the brunette which failed from how weak she was and she also got scratched in the face and arms, lines of blood dripping from them. The other camp counselors had panicked and bailed on them, choosing to save their own lives than help their friends. ‘Some friends they are!’ I thought sarcastically.
I swung the metal bat right at Nakamura’s body, throwing him back to the ground, rolling a few meters away from us. I was emotionless as I ran up to him and swung the bat to his head this time, causing him to fall to the ground, I didn’t stop there though nor did he. I ran towards the gun near the dead brunette counselor and the crying blonde counselor who held onto him as she wailed.
Grabbing the unloaded gun and the ammo that was conveniently near and not lost. I loaded it as quickly as possible, whilst Nakamura got up and ran at me full speed, even faster than before. The weird thing coming from out of his mouth was still visible. I only managed to load and cock the gun, aiming at him. The distance between us was only a single meter.
“Eat this, motherfucker!” I screamed, pulling the trigger
A loud bang went off, making birds and other animals which lived in the woods run away in fear. I had hit Nakamura successfully in the head, he fell back from the impact and was now finally dead. Which I really hoped stayed that way this time.
I looked around me and grabbed some bullets from the dead counselor's pocket while the blonde counselor was still in a state of shock and broke down crying. Using the last bullet in the gun to shoot Midnight who was still alive. After that I reloaded and killed off the rest leaving no one behind. Even the camp counselor and anyone who hasn’t turned yet.
By now every student was at the main building safe and sound, watching the entire scene happen in front of them through the high tech holograms. They were crying at my actions of killing their classmates, friends, and family who were already dead. ‘Why couldn’t you leave them in peace!’ They thought, however, they were simple minded. They didn’t understand my actions or they refused to understand and acknowledge them.
Gasps of shock and disbelief sounded off behind me coming from the teachers and camp counselors and no one protested my actions because of the fear they held for me. No one except principal Nezu, who walked up to me and placed a hand on my shoulder and thanked me for my actions.
I was stuck in fear of everyone hating me for my actions but I needed to do it before they would turn and kill us all. But most notably I was scared of Shoto’s reaction. Would he break up with me? I can’t handle that as ever since the incident happened, Shoto became my number 1 pillar (Besides from my best friends) and reason that I kept on pushing forward.
Everyone including myself was on edge and although everything felt like it happened so fast yet so slow at the same time. In reality, it was still 5:30. Only 30 minutes had passed since the beginning of the end started.

as the lecture went on, shoto found it harder to focus. he wasn’t sure when it became his habit to stare at your back during a lecture, but he knew if he didn’t stop soon, then it’ll take a toll on his grades and that would be very unconventional.
shoto’s mind wandered to you quite often nowadays, thinking of holding you close, brushing his fingers through your hair, kissing you…
the bi coloured boy abruptly grabbed his pen at that last thought and began writing down notes in his book, furious at himself, he used to be much more collected, level headed and didn’t start blushing in the middle of a lecture because of some girl.
but you weren’t just some girl.
you were the epitome of kindness, a gentle soul who conquered his ghostly heart, filled with void and unworthiness, without even knowing. shoto knew you were like that with everyone, there isn’t a single bad bone in your body and your presence brights up the whole room. he was also mesmerised by your looks, your glowing face and radiant smile, your whole being is beautiful.
“shoto, your book is burning” momo’s voice with an urgent tone, pulled him out of his thinking process and shoto began to cool off his table and save the remaining pieces of paper, feeling many pairs of eyes on him, including yours.
“i’m sorry” he mutters quietly, but his voice was loud enough in the silent classroom for everyone to hear and they all turned back towards aizawa who blankly stared at the boy before continuing with his lecture. shoto looked down at his destroyed book, the evidence of his lacking focus laughing in his face and he wished the ground would swallow him up, leaving no trace.
though, his heart felt rather full when you showed up at his dorm on the same night, with a brand new book, filled with all of the notes he accidentally burned and a warm smile adorning your features.
shoto knew right then and there, this is his chance to ask you out on a date.

𝑠𝑢𝑚𝑚𝑎𝑟𝑦: In order to placate your anxious mother, you agree to return to your hometown to participate in a mating run—knowing full well that betas rarely get chased, never mind betas nearly old enough to age out of the practice. You’ve decided to treat it like a vacation, a chance to visit with your childhood friends, the mating run itself a nice relaxing hike. All in all it’s a solid plan—until alpha Todoroki Shouto, your best friend's little brother, steps in and blows it all to pieces. 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑡: omegaverse, no quirks au, alpha!shouto, beta!reader, mating rituals, age gap, best friend’s little brother, older reader, afab reader, some class differences, aged up characters, semi-public sex, slight small town romance vibes, background implied dabihawks for some reason, smut, 18+; mdni! 𝑙𝑒𝑛𝑔𝑡ℎ: 4.7k | chapter 2 of 4

Then
The Todoroki house was the most interesting place you had ever been.
At home it was just you and your mom, and most of the time she was working, or recovering from working, but the Todoroki house was packed with children from wall to wall. There was almost never a dull minute—except when Todoroki Enji came home and everyone got stiff and weird—but when he wasn’t around, you found you preferred the Todoroki mansion to the loneliness of your own empty house.
Touya seemed to sense this, and deigned to invite you over often, enough that you found yourself following him home after school at least once a week.
After the first time, you’d been introduced to his other siblings, Fuyumi and Natuso, who were both much nicer than Touya, and notably far more talkative. Shouto was a near-constant too, almost always propped on his mother’s hip when you arrived home, and always eager to be handed off to you, enough that you could tell Touya was annoyed.
“You’re not even related,” he complained, and you hid a smile at his barely-couched jealousy.
“I’m just better than you,” you told him, sticking your tongue out, dodging when he tried to grab it. You’d never had siblings, and you’d been forced to learn quickly that nothing was off-limits to people with younger siblings. Revenge would always be exacted.
Even when Shouto got older, old enough to talk in complete sentences and toddle about on his own, he seemed to prefer your company. You and Touya were almost never left alone to play on your own, Shouto always in the room with you, almost velcroed to your side.
He was on the floor next to you in the living room on one such occasion, Touya absolutely destroying you in Super Mario, when Rei called Touya in from the kitchen.
Touya rolled his eyes, pausing and flinging his controller at your head with the manner of someone who hoped it actually connected. “Don’t restart while I’m gone or I’ll kill you.”
You saluted him as he stomped out, taking a minute to stretch out from where you’d sat hunched over your controller. You bumped Shouto as you did, and he looked up at you from his coloring book, where he was shading in a pair of penguins in hot pink.
“Nice choice,” you told him, and Shouto looked a little bit like he was trying not to preen.
“Izuku in my class says penguins mate for life, like us,” he said, authoritatively.
You blinked, your brain snagging on the like us. Alphas, betas, and omegas could mate for life, and were generally expected to, but that didn’t always quite play out if you didn’t find your life mate. Your mother was a near-hand example, your father having left her while you were still in swaddling clothes, only to pass away a short few years later. They hadn’t been life mates, you’d come to realize recently—though your mother still believed in them. You hoped she’d find hers still, someday.
You thought maybe, however, that you were not going to hold out hope for your own, if it was as tricky as it seemed.
“You know not everyone does, right?” you asked, peering down at Shouto.
Wide, guileless eyes stared back up at you. Shouto had lost a little of his baby fat recently, but absolutely none of his sweetness.
“Who does not?” he demanded, sitting back on his haunches.
You fiddled with the controller in your fingers, wondering suddenly if you should have brought this up with him. “Some people. My parents didn’t,” you said, cautiously.
Shouto’s eyebrows rose a fraction of an inch. “Your parents?”
You shook your head. “Sometimes people don’t find them even after all of the mating runs.”
Shouto did not look pleased with this. His eyes roved over you, pinning on you with a sort of sudden, unnerving intensity. “Sometimes people go on mating runs. And their life mate is not there because they are too young to go yet.”
You blinked, surprised by the specificity of this conclusion. “Sometimes, probably, yeah.”
Shouto’s tiny frown deepened, and he carefully arranged himself up against your side. “You will wait though, right?”
Your hand found its way unthinkingly into his hair, ruffling it. He was a sweet kid. “I mean, people usually go through more than one mating run, right?”
Shouto pressed more insistently into your side. “You will keep going until your life mate is there, though.”
You had an image of yourself, greying and eighty, slowly wobbling on your cane through the preserve. You suppressed a laugh. “I’ll go as I can until I age out, how about that?”
Shouto nodded, satisfied. His crayon resumed on the penguins, fiery pink streaking across the page. “I will be there,” he pronounced definitively.
His decisive tone startled a laugh out of you. You grinned down at him, unable to help the urge to ruffle his hair again. “I’ll stick around until we can run together. Although you better get good at climbing trees.”
Shouto blinked, his mouth pursing in puzzlement. “Trees,” he repeated to himself.
You nodded. “If I’m not an alpha, and I have to hide somewhere, I’m going to find the best tree in the preserve and go up it and not come down until I find my life mate.”
You would not be like your parents. You would not settle, and you would be realistic about your prospects.
Shouto’s eyes tracked across your face once more, like he was committing the statement to memory.
“You’re welcome to come up with me,” you said. You couldn’t imagine Shouto as anything other than an omega like his mom, not with that sweet little face. You didn’t like the idea of some alpha trying to get at him, so it was better he stay safe in your tree with you.
The thought suddenly rankled, and you decided you were done with this discussion. Better not to think of Shouto all grown up and spirited away from everyone until you absolutely had to.
You tapped a finger on Shouto’s coloring book, turning him back to it. “Anyway. Tell me about the other animals in here? Did Izuku tell you about any of these?”
Shouto looked down at the page, his expression shifting seriously. “This is a killer whale,” he said, pointing to a corner of the page he’d colored in with a blob of forest green. “They are related to dolphins. They are the biggest dolphin in the world.”
You nodded, relaxing back on your hands, gesturing for him to go on.
Shouto took his job very seriously, explaining solemnly and in great detail all the animals on the page, the way he sometimes described all his toys to you. You let him go on, finding that you liked listening to Shouto talk—he was rarely so wordy, but he was easy and familiar and funny in how seriously he took everything.
You laid back and listened to him, hoping Touya took a little extra time in the kitchen. Shouto looked pleased to have your attention, and soon enough you found yourself dozing, your head against his little thigh, content with Shouto’s sweet little voice washing over you.
In Shouto’s company, the Todoroki house felt a lot like home.

Now
Your beloved mother woke you in the morning ramming the vacuum into the door of your old bedroom-turned-storage room.
You groaned from your air mattress, your old bed frame sold off already to pay a gas bill. You missed that thing.
“Only a week together and you were out all day yesterday,” your mother said when you emerged from your old room, shooting you a look that immediately made you feel like a teenager again. She was wearing one of your old sweatshirts, that she’d clearly commandeered because she’d missed you.
Your heart squeezed a little at the familiar sight of her, but not enough to curb your morning fussiness.
“Maybe I was out scoping alphas to pounce on during the run,” you said, shuffling towards the kitchen and the promise of coffee.
“You were out with the mayor’s son,” she said, sniffing. A small smile pulled at your mouth—she had pettily refused to call Touya by his name for years.
She’d been thrilled by your friendship with him when you were kids. From the outside, Touya had looked like a beautiful little boy from a well-to-do family. You knew she’d once held out hope for your friendship to turn into something more, to see you settled into a well-off family and taken good care of.
For your part, however, you’d been drawn to Touya but never interested in that way, and you knew Touya felt the same. And things had only gotten more complicated when Touya’s mental health had crumbled like dirt under his father’s heel, and even worse when the Todoroki family fire broke out; Touya’s extensive burns damaged his glands and destroyed any evidence of his secondary gender before he’d even presented. Though, personally, you’d always suspected he was an omega. He was showy, flashy, possessed of that classic omega need for praise and attention—not quite to your tastes.
You thought you probably preferred someone a little more lowkey, someone steady and easy. Definitely not Touya.
There was also the fact that his efforts as of late seemed directed at the one quarter of your friend group with blonde, fluffy hair. Though you knew Touya would rather burn his remaining skin off before admitting it.
Either way, your mother’s hopes of a marriage into the Todoroki family were dashed, along with her opinion of Todoroki Enji when things finally came to head, and she’d never quite forgiven Touya for it.
“Touya says hello,” you answered distractedly, fiddling around with the coffee machine, though of course Touya had said no such thing. “I saw Rei though, and Natsuo and Fuyumi and Shouto. Did you know Shouto is a firefighter now? He’s gotten so big.”
“An alpha?” your mom’s voice floated out from the living room, her eagerness not quite suppressed.
You laughed, though a tiny, strange sort of spark lit up your spine. “Mom, I’m a couple years too old for him. I’m like his grandma.”
“Oh you are not, you dramatic thing,” you heard her sniff.
“Our first date could be at my bingo hall,” you carried on over the hiss of the water boiling, the dribble of coffee into the pot. “And we could get drunk on our prune juice, and I could slide out my dentures waiting for him to kiss me—”
“I’m going to sell you,” your mother said, her vacuum starting up again pointedly. You heard the distinct thump of it being rammed into a couch leg and grinned.
You knew she wanted to see you settled because she loved you, wanted to see you taken care of in all the ways that she hadn’t been. Your father had let her down years before he’d even passed, which you thought should have besmirched any alpha’s good name in your mother’s book. But she was determined to believe in love and life mates despite it all, and you admired her for it. She was a stubborn thing.
You spent the morning helping her do chores, clambering up onto the counters and getting all the places she couldn’t regularly reach, hauling out her trash and googling your way through some low-level repairs. You shared a quick breakfast in between, dodging more questions about the mating run, before returning to cleaning.
You were covered in dust and a thin layer of Lysol by the time you remembered you’d promised to meet Shouto at the fire station for lunch. There was not enough time to change or shower if you wanted to pick something up on the way, and you supposed it was well enough that Shouto did not actually possess the level of interest in you that your mother might have wanted him to.
“Going to see my child bride,” you told your mom on the way out, laughing and dodging a sponge.
The walk to the fire station took the better part of forty-five minutes, including a long interlude spent hemming and hawing over the prepared foods section of the grocery store before you finally settled on cold soba—Shouto’s favorite from when you were younger, if you remembered correctly.
The fire station itself was an older, whitewashed multi-story building, set back from the main road. The garage doors were open in the warming spring air, the bright red of the fire engines clearly visible from blocks away. You must have been visible from blocks away, too, because Shouto stepped out as you turned onto the drive, the dark blue of his stationwear stark against his skin.
Your heart did a strange lurching motion in your chest, and you pointedly did not let your eyes linger on the way his uniform belted in at his hips, highlighting the trimness of his waist and the breadth of his shoulders. Nope.
“Hi Shouto,” you said, holding up your bag of spoils. “You still like soba, right?”
Shouto blinked, his eyelashes fluttering. Long fingers touched the bag, hefting it carefully from your grip. “You remember.”
You grinned up at him. “How could I forget? Especially because I was there when you had it for the first time. You flung some at Touya from your high chair and it ended up on me instead.”
Shouto looked embarrassed, a pink flush spreading prettily across the tops of his high cheekbones. “I do not believe you.”
“Uh huh,” you said.
Shouto’s mouth pulled into what might have been a nonexpression on anyone else, but was most definitely a pout on him. Cute.
“I can reassure you there will be no soba flung today,” he promised, his deep voice earnest. Then he paused. “Touya is not in range.”
A surprised laugh escaped you, and the edge of Shouto’s lips pulled. He looked pleased with himself for having drawn it out of you. He’d always made you laugh, even as a kid—though mostly for how incongruously serious he was as a child, even about the silliest things. But also for how he seemed able to press people’s buttons—Touya’s especially—just by existing.
Shouto gestured you inside, and you studied the firetrucks as you passed them, mostly so you did not watch the way Shouto’s shoulders shifted beneath his shirt.
When he caught your look of curiosity, Shouto led you over to one, opening the door for you to take a look inside. You peered at all the knobs and switches interestedly, leaning into the cab. It looked complex, and yet very familiar. It actually looked a lot like the toy fire truck that once spent a fair amount of time occupying the inside of baby Shouto’s mouth.
You glanced back, opening your mouth to tell Shouto as much, when suddenly two large hands were at your waist, warm and sure. They lifted you right into the driver’s seat like it was absolutely no effort.
You fell into the cab, suddenly winded. You whipped around to stare at Shouto, heart hammering with the casual display of alpha strength, unable to help the wide-eyed look you knew you were giving him. That was—that was—not allowed.
“Am I—can I be—in here?” you garbled out, trying not to make obvious the real reason for your sudden disorientation.
Shouto stepped up onto the wheel plate to lean into the cab beside you, bringing in a puff of that scent like campfire on a cold day. “Yes,” he answered, looking unbothered with how close his face was to yours.
You watched him helplessly, brain fogging with his proximity and his scent. He was very, very pretty up close. He’d grown into what had to be the most beautiful person you’d actually ever seen—his mother’s looks, dialed up to an eleven. The deliberate alpha edge to him should have been at odds with that delicate sensuality—but instead it was like his secondary gender sat on him like a beam of sunlight, highlighting his beauty.
It was totally at conflict with the round, pudgy little thing he’d been when you’d first seen him, the lanky preteen you’d left him as.
He felt so familiar and yet so strangely new. It was disconcerting.
You quickly averted your gaze, making a show of leaning in over all the dials and buttons. Shouto leaned right over your lap, his chest warm against your legs, patiently explaining what each one did in his low, calm tone. The depth of his voice was so shocking, but the tone so similar to what it had been—you could remember him explaining animals in his coloring book to you in much the same level of careful detail once.
Your head spun with the dichotomy. Baby Shouto, a lifetime away, and adult alpha Shouto here in front of you—
You hurriedly pushed the thought of adult alpha Shouto down before you could think too deeply on it. That was off limits.
When you’d had your fill and Shouto had managed to make sure you didn’t accidentally deploy the ladder in the station itself, he helped you down from the cab, his hands hot on your waist.
“I’m old but still spry enough to get myself down, young man,” you told him as he settled you back on the station floor. Your heartbeat felt like it was somewhere around your throat.
“I did not hear your bones creak at least,” Shouto said, startling you into a laugh again.
His mouth twitched as he led you further into the station, giving you a short tour of the gear racks, the office, the laundry room and fitness room stuffed with several of his coworkers, a room that smelled overwhelmingly of clashing alpha scents, none nearly as good as Shouto’s.
A cheery red head waved to you from the leg press, that Shouto introduced as Kirishima, and a blonde alpha greeted him with a towel whipped directly at Shouto’s face. Shouto ducked it with the ease of long practice.
“Oi halfie, who the fuck told you you could eat the cookies I brought in?” the blonde demanded, barely sparing you an acknowledging glace as he reracked a mind-bogglingly enormous set of weights.
Shouto introduced him anyway, in a deliberately bland tone that you immediately recognized as one he deployed to rile up Touya. “This is Bakugou Katsuki.”
“Answer the damn question,” Bakugou said.
Shouto blinked long and slow and absolutely meant to annoy. You hid a smile. “Am I expected to fight fires on an empty stomach,” Shouto said, flatter than a question.
“I’ll fucking show you an empty stomach when I rip out your—”
“You must be Y/N,” Kirishima said loudly from the leg press. You instantly clocked a beta disruption technique at work and smiled at him.
“Nice to meet you,” you said, searching for something to reply with, uniting in his peace-keeping mission. “That’s—an impressive amount of weight.”
“Thanks!” Kirishima said brightly.
Out of the corner of your eye you caught Shouto’s head snapping towards you, and you looked back to find his eyes narrowed on you.
“I can press as much,” Shouto said, his tone insistent. He crowded a little closer to you.
Your eyebrows crept towards your hairline, mystified. “I—that’s—great?”
A tiny frown pulled at Shouto’s mouth, and a disgusted sound issued from Bakugou’s corner of the gym. “You gotta be fucking kidding me. Take this shit right outta here,” Bakugou demanded.
Shouto ignored him, still staring at you. He pressed closer, his shoulders shifting so that he was angled between you and Kirishima, obscuring most of your line of sight.
“I—mean you definitely look like you can press, um, a lot,” you continued, bewildered. “The only pressing I do is, uh, french press.”
The frown evaporated from Shouto’s expression, something suddenly pleased descending over it instead. Beyond him, you thought you could see Kirishima smiling, mouthing you look like you can press a lot to Bakugou, and an answering eye-roll from Bakugou. Oh god. Had you said that?
Your face heated, and you immediately decided an evacuation was in order. “Well thanks for letting us interrupt you. Nice to meet you guys. Shouto—should we—?”
Shouto’s hand found the small of your back, gently guiding you. All thought of Kirishima and Bakugou suddenly evaporated under the feeling of that hot palm, and you barely managed another wave as Shouto shadowed you out of the room. He led you up a flight of stairs to the dorm area, where several more of his coworkers were arrayed, chatting over their own lunches.
Face still sort of warm, you helped Shouto unpack the soba and the various side dishes you’d grabbed. He disappeared further into the kitchen and returned with glasses of water and the appropriate utensils, arraying everything in front of you.
“So this is going to be your first run,” you said conversationally, after you’d taken your first bite of soba. “Got any lucky omega in mind?”
Shouto’s eyes darted up from his chopsticks to your face, grey and blue pinning you. “I have… someone in mind,” he said, after a moment.
A strange twinge made itself known in your chest again. You ignored it, shoving more noodles into your mouth determinedly.
“I am sure you will have absolutely no trouble, but I am happy to give you a quick rundown of all the usual hiding spots anyway,” you said. “Most omegas actually end up not too far into the preserve because they want to be caught, so it should be pretty easy.”
One of Shouto’s brows quirked the tiniest bit. “I have reason to believe I’ll need to follow at least a few miles.”
You felt your own eyebrows lift. Not too many omegas went super far in, unless they were looking to avoid someone or pose a real challenge. You went miles in specifically for that reason as well—to steer clear of the action, not that it was likely to find you anyway—and get up your tree before anyone came looking.
“There’s fewer spots that far out because the brush gets all scraggly at the coast,” you said. “There’s a few outcroppings though that I’ve seen omegas go for. You really think your intended will go that far?”
Shouto considered you for a long moment, those mismatched eyes roving over you. “I do.”
Whoever it was, they were going to make him work for it, huh? You suppressed a growing spot of offense on his behalf.
“And you’re sure about this person?” you asked.
Shouto nodded. “I have been sure since I was very small.”
Your heart skipped a beat at the same time as your stomach seemed to drop. That was very sweet—and also strangely disheartening to hear.
Why was that disheartening?
“Then—do you think they’re for sure your life mate?” you asked, taking a careful, studied sip of water.
“I do,” Shouto answered. The simplicity of his statement spoke for itself. You were a beta and did not have quite the same capacity to detect your mate as an alpha, but you knew alphas always knew. You wondered if he’d always known he was going to end up an alpha if he’d had that instinctive understanding since he was young.
You wondered why he’d never said anything, all those years you’d grown up together.
Your heart did a strange dip, sinking at the same time it lifted for him.
“I’m really happy for you Shouto. I’m glad I came back just in time to see you find happiness, when it feels like I have already missed so much else,” you told him.
Shouto leaned forward, catching your eye. His gaze was serious where it caught yours. “I am glad you came back, too. You have been… missed,” he said.
Your heartbeat fluttered, and you gripped the edge of the table, trying to quell the feeling. It would not do to be too overwhelmed by Shouto. Not now.
You managed a smile, and quickly rerouted the conversation back to the hiding spots you knew, and the forest trails you’d seen most omegas utilize. Shouto watched you carefully, and you hoped he was committing the information to memory.
After that the conversation turned to more innocuous topics, a rehashing of some of your shared childhood memories, some picking on Touya. The soba disappeared between the two of you, as well as all the side dishes you’d brought. Shouto was incredibly easy to talk to, you found—a fascinating blend of the earnest, slight shit-stirrer of a little boy you’d known and a blandly funny adult man. He had some of Touya’s underlying propensity towards intensity, and some of his mother’s thoughtful sweetness—and you liked the way the familiar traits blended into something faceted and interesting.
He really had grown up.
After lunch he let you explore more of the station, showing you all the compartments on the fire engines, explaining all the equipment. On the way to the door he also let you rifle through the gear bays, showing you his own rack of turnout gear.
He even let you try his jacket on, looking like he was suppressing a smile when the heaviness of it weighed your arms down, watching you flap your arms around, marveling as what was easily twenty pounds of heat-proof fabric resisted you.
No wonder he needed such an intense workout routine.
You couldn’t help but be amazed by it all—who Shouto had turned into, and the fact that he had such an impressive job, one that fit him so well. The fact that he was an adult now, with goals and ambitions that were a lot more grounded than yours. The fact that he was an alpha of all things, and could lift you up into a firetruck as easily as you’d once lifted him off Touya’s hip.
It was so much to contemplate, and you watched him, helplessly fascinated, as he led you around.
You lingered for long enough that the sky was tinging pink and orange by the time you left, and Shouto saw you to the door, insisting on plugging in his number to your phone so you could text when you got home. You could still feel his eyes on you as you turned the corner down the street, a strange warmth suffusing you as you walked. It kept you warm the entire way home, despite the cool evening air.
It was only when you arrived at your mother’s front door, shooting off your promised text to Shouto that you realized that you were mooning like a girl returning home from a date—a completely embarrassing, inappropriate tact for your mind to take with someone who had been your childhood friend. Your childhood junior.
Besides, Shouto had explicitly said he had someone in mind already, someone he intended to follow during the run. And you were too old for him, and a beta as well. Alpha-beta couplings were rare—and if Shouto had known who his life mate was since he was very small, and never given any indication it was a beta—well that spoke for itself.
You shook your head as you let yourself in through the door, trying to slough off the feeling as you called a greeting to your mother. It was sad you’d never get to haul him up a tree after you, the way you’d promised when you were kids. But such was life, you guessed.
Shouto may have grown up into an admirable man and a beautiful alpha—but he was off limits to you. You’d make sure you treated him with nothing but the respect and friendly fondness he deserved. Nothing else.
Absolutely nothing else.

Chapter Two
"Man, are you sure we won't get caught?" Eijiro said, following Katsuki reluctantly to the girl's side of the dorms.
"We will if you keep complaining so loud shitty hair!" Katsuki barked back at him.
"Sorry, I'm just nervous, you know?" Eijiro said in a much quieter voice.
"It's fine, trust me," Katsuki reassured his friend. "Besides, they both miserably failed and got caught by Iida last time so- it has to be us to sneak over this time," Katsuki explained as he hit the button for the girl's elevator.
Eijiro laughed at the thought of the girls getting scolded by Iida for trying to sneak into the boy's dorms, "It makes it easier that both of our girls are on the same floor, hu?" Eijiro said, smiling at his friend.
"I guess. It doesn't matter either way. We're not going to get caught like they did!" Finally, the elevator dinged open. However, to Katsuki's and Eijiro's surprise, it was not empty.
"Oh, um- hi," Shoto greeted the two boys, surprised to see them waiting for the girl's elevator.
"The hell are you doing here, Icy Hot?!" Katsuki asked.
"I'm just leaving from studying with Yayarozu," he answered.
"Studyinggg~ right," Eijiro said, laughing.
Shoto looked at Eijiro, confused by his statement.
Katsuki let out an annoyed huff, "Well, get out of the damn elevator then," he demanded.
"Oh- actually I forgot to give her back her book so- I was going to go back up," Shoto said, holding and pointing to a book in his hand.
"Well, guess we are all going up then," Eijiro said, cheerfully stepping into the elevator.
"Ugh- fine," Katsuki groaned and stepped in.
"Where are you two going?" Shoto asked as he waited to hear what button to press for everyone.
"None of your damn business!" Katsuki yelled.
At the same time, Eijiro politely said, "Fourth floor please."
"God damn it shitty hair!" Katsuki yelled.
"It's fine- I'm not going to say anything," Shoto said. "But um- what are you two doing up here this late?"
"Studying!" Eijiro answered too hastily, voice filled with anxiety. However, Shoto didn't question the two boys' motives any further.
"The fuck?" Katsuki remarked as the elevator stopped and dinged on the third floor.
"Oh- someone is getting in," Shoto mused.
The three boys stood uncomfortably in the elevator as the doors opened and revealed Denki on the third floor.
"Ohhhh~ hey you guys! What are you all doing here, hmm?" he said, giving the boys a wink.
"Shut the hell up and get in Dunce Face!" Katsuki yelled.
"Why are you acting so weird?" Shoto asked.
Denki just laughed and entered the elevator, then glanced over at the buttons.
"Hmm ok, so the fourth and fifth floor. I think I can guess what rooms everyone's headed to," He teased.
"Hey man, don't make it weird, ok?" Eijiro pleaded.
"What's weird about studying?" Shoto asked.
"Uh," Denki murmured, but before he could make a comment Katsuki intervened.
"Where the hell were you anyway?" Katsuki asked.
"I think it's only Jiro and Hagakure on the third floor, so- my guess is Jiro?" Eijiro said, turning to his friend.
Before Denki could confirm or deny, the elevator opened up to the fourth floor.
"Finally, I can get away from you morons," Katsuki grumbled, but before he could step out, Izuku came from around the corner and crashed into him.
"THE HELL?!" Katsuki hollered.
"Oh! Kacchan! I'm sorry!" Izuku said, apologizing frantically.
"The fuck are you doing here, nerd?!" Katsuki questioned.
"I was just leaving! I was um- studying with Uraraka!" Izuku explained.
Denki laughed, "A lot of 'studying' going on tonight hu?"
"UH- I guess so. Is that why you're all here?" Izuku asked.
"Yep! Just um- about to get started," Eijiro said, laughing nervously and rubbing the back of his neck.
"It's kind of late to just start studying, isn't it?" Izuku asked.
"Yeah, don't you think you guys should get some rest for training tomorrow?" Shoto asked.
"Are they for real right now?" Denki asked, holding in his laughter.
"Tch, probably," Katsuki exclaimed.
"Wait so- you two," Denki said, pointing to Izuku and Shoto, "Were actually studying?"
"What else would we be doing?" Shoto asked plainly.
Before Denki could make any more comments, the boys heard a loud bang followed by-
"Almost there, the forbidden lands~"
"Is it just me or- did that sound like Mineta in the vents?" Denki asked, looking between the boys.
"He never stops, hu?" Izuku said exhaustedly.
"Fucking perv!" Katsuki yelled and stalked over to the vent. "Yeah, that's him in there... Hey! Half and Half, heat up this vent!" Katsuki demanded.
"Won't that hurt him?" Shoto asked.
"Tch- nah it'll just teach him a lesson," Katsuki replied.
"Yeah besides, it's super unmanly to try and spy on girls in their private rooms," Eijiro convinced Todoroki further.
"I suppose you're right," Shoto said as he moved closer to the vent and shot some fire down, heating up the vent red hot in the process.
"OW!" Minoru's scream came ringing out of the vent.
Katsuki, Denki, and Kirishima burst out laughing.
"LAUGH ALL YOU WANT I'M CALLING AIZAWA AND BUSTING YOU GUYS FOR BEING AT THE GIRL'S DORM SO LATE!"
The boys exchanged glances with one another.
"BACK IN THE ELEVATOR GO!" Eijiro yelled, and they all hurried back in fear of being caught by Aizawa.
"Oh, this is bad!" Izuku exclaimed shaking in the back of the elevator.
"Come on Dunce Face! Press the fucking first floor already!" Katsuki yelled.
"I'm rushing, I'm rushing!" Denki said frantically, but as he pressed the button, his anxiety overtook him, causing him to pop off his quirk. A loud buzzing sound went off as the doors closed to the elevator and the lights shut off.
"YOU SHORT CIRCUITED THE ELEVATOR DUMB ASS!" Katsuki yelled.
"OH CRAP!" Denki yelled back in response.
"You guys! We are going to get caught!" Eijiro said, panicked.
Shoto sat in the corner of the elevator calmly.
Izuku panicked, mumbling to himself, "What do you think Aizawa will think? Surly, we were just studying so- that's fine, right? But it is 9pm, he might think that we were up to no good like Mineta bu-"
"SHUT UP NERD!" Katsuki barked.
"Hu, this is worse than the girls getting caught by Iida don't you think, Bakugo?" Eijiro laughed, finding comedy in the situation now.
"I'm going to murder every last one of you," Katsuki grumbled as he sat down on the floor, accepting his fate.
The other boys shrugged and gave in, waiting for their inevitable punishment from Aizawa.
