To have finally finished this costume is mind-blowing and I’m still not over it. The textures bring me SO much joy, from the leather tooling to the feathers in the cape, and I felt incredibly powerful wearing it. I learned so much, and I really put all of myself into this build! Hope it shows! ☺️💚

WIP WHENEVER

Thanks @olath124 for the tag! I finally have something to show! Long story short, I was pissed off at the chicken feet Kurt has, and since I gave Wiosna VTK makeover I asked @xbaebsae about her secrets (that's a joke) and decided to do HD body for Kurt too! Especially since I will be doing MB NPV for my friend and it would be nice to have something better than vanilla body. Yeah so I just wanted to change the feet, but as I was at it I was like "fuck it we ball" so I took a speedrun of LEARNING SCULPTING IN BLENDER AND HUMAN ANATOMY. I think it turned out okay? I'm pretty satisfied with the results!

Anyway, yeah... I did it for the feet so here's the comparison!

Honestly no idea when I will finish him, he's literally constant WIP 😭 Plz, pray for me to Blender gods that UV unwrapping and texture baking will go smooth 🙏 Huge thanks to Xbae for the tips and @blackrevell for mental texture support 💚

My brain has revolted against only working on Aristeia during NaNoWriMo and I compromised by working on this one-shot which takes place in the same 'verse. I needed to let these two Married Forever guys fuck. And oh boy are they. Excerpt below is not explicit.

“Rain’s coming,” Gat said, leaning against the smelter as Pavo stepped out of the shadows of Kolskeggr mine. Pavo blinked a little in the late afternoon sun. The golden rays were illuminating white pillars of clouds in the east, only the deep purple shadows beneath them hinting at the possibility of inclement weather.

“I suppose I’ll do the evening chores early then,” Pavo said, moving to stand next to Gat. “Get Juniper settled before the tempest.”

Gat slipped his arm around Pavo’s waist, and Pavo leaned into his comforting bulk. Even after twenty years, his touch never failed to send a thrill down Pavo’s spine.

“I’ll finish up here, get everything secured against the wind,” Gat said against Pavo’s ear, his large tusks tracing the corner of Pavo’s jaw.

“Gat, I’m disgusting, at least wait until I’ve rinsed off!” Pavo yelped as Gat turned and took hold of him with both hands, pulling him close.

“Mmmm, if a little mine dust was a problem—” Gat buried his face in Pavo’s neck while Pavo laughed and tried to push him away. “—I don’t think my people would be nearly as numerous as they are.” He gave Pavo’s neck a final nip before releasing him.

“You’re insatiable,” grumbled Pavo. When he turned to head down the path to their cottage, Gat’s laughter followed him.

The chickens allowed him to drive them into their coop with the bribe of some kitchen scraps, but Juniper, their mule, brayed her protest when he came to collect her from her picket, despite the bucket of oats and corn he rattled at her.

“I know it’s early old girl. But you’ll be glad of the roof and walls tonight, mark my words. Don’t go kicking them down if the thunder gets loud, now.”

As he puttered around the small barn, Pavo heard the front door to the cottage open and shut several times. As he was filling the water trough, Gat appeared in the doorway, wearing a clean shirt with water droplets clinging to the fuzz of his shaved head.

“I left a towel and some clean clothes by the river for you,” Gat said.

“Oh? I thought the dirt was an Orc aphrodisiac,” Pavo said archly. “I’m getting mixed messages here.”

“Smelling like ore is one thing, smelling like Juniper is another.”

“Don’t listen to him Juniper, you smell wonderful.”

Gat laughed, and turned to leave. “I’ll get supper started. Don’t take too long—hey!” He whirled and Juniper brayed and tossed her head at his shout. Pavo just grinned back at him, trying to look entirely innocent and like someone who would never dream of pinching an Orc’s arse.

Shaking his finger at Pavo, and walking backwards until he was well out of range, Gat retreated back to the cottage.

3 times that i know of. novelhd dot com is a bitch. they stole JOHNLOCKed in a Closet (JLiaC), Strawberries and Cigarettes (S&C), and my oneshots on wattpad. it is fucking heartbreaking and really made me lose some trust in humanity as well as my motivation to write for a long time... DO NOT STEAL FICS!

no, because i don't feel comfortable with it. probably because of the shit that happened to me described above.

nope, but i would be up for the challenge:)

WIP so far of my progress with my custom Barbatos figure.

I'm going to back in and clean up the sharp edges where the two colours of his hair meet, and I'll blend everything so it gets that ombre/gradient effect like his in-game artwork has.

Once I've finished with the final details in his hair (and give him the protective clear topcoat) he'll be ready to go to his new home 💚

Hello!!!!! Yes I am SO stoked about that one honestly because I have literally like. 17k words of it or something cause it's one of my older fics! Here's a snippet:

“Hey,” Kon said, and the room was too heavy, too thick for him to be sarcastic the way Tim knew he wanted to be.  “Hey.” It was barely a whisper out of Tim’s throat, and for a moment he wanted to lean forward and wrap his arms around Kon.  Then he remembered to be angry. It had been so long since he’d been in his room that he barely remembered how he’d left it, but he knew somewhere in his head that it shouldn’t have been so clean. Everything was tidy except for his bed, which wasn’t made, and that wasn’t quite right. He knew he’d made it before leaving, the last time. He wanted to smell his sheets to be certain, but he was pretty sure Kon had slept in his bed.  No, Tim. Bad Tim. Creepy Tim.  There was an easier way to find out, anyways.  “Did you sleep in my bed?” he asked, and he hadn’t quite remembered to leak the anger into his voice. It came out soft, too soft, the way being around Kon always made him.  Kon’s face flushed, but he didn’t drop his gaze. “Didn’t seem like you were going to be using it,” he mumbled, shrugging, and that was the spark Tim needed to remember he was mad.  “Well, I wasn’t, to be honest.” His voice finally found that icy tone he knew Kon would recognize, saw the moment his posture stiffened as he recognized exactly which Tim he was talking to.  “I was just planning on stopping in here to breathe for a moment, because that party is starting to get a little too drunk for my liking, so imagine my surprise when-” “Why didn’t you leave?” Kon interrupted him, his gaze burning into him.

I'm going to answer how I am under a read more because that is sort of a complicated answer, and I'll be talking about health stuff so consider that my health CW/TW for it

Hi!!! Thanks for asking!! I have been wanting to give a little update on how I'm doing because the answer is... not great, honestly.

I got put on medical leave for two months and got diagnosed with degenerative disc disease in my spine (which is something that doctors keep telling me I'm very young to have), and I'm doing 6 weeks of physical therapy for that. Honestly, I've had chronic back pain for 8 years, and I really haven't had time to process that information with all the rest of the stuff I have going on. I'm waiting for an MRI to see what's causing the degeneration.

I've also been having heart palpitations and lightheadedness and chest pain that were mostly addressed when we figured out that I have anemia (not the traditional kind, though, and it seems to be being caused by something else). That said, I wore a heart monitor for a week before addressing the anemia, and the results on that were very reassuring, so my heart looks okay. I've still been having some symptoms, but much less.

However, I've also been having really horrible GI issues that I'm waiting for a bunch of tests to see if I need any procedures or surgeries done to fix, or if it's a problem that can be solved more easily. I have severe nausea, acid reflux, problems actually digesting food, and I've lost like... 12-13 pounds in the last month I think? I get hungry and then I eat and then food makes me feel awful, but if I don't eat, I also feel awful. My body is flat out refusing to digest certain foods and I do not know why. There are other symptoms that I just don't want to share. It's been really frustrating. I feel horrible all the time. I wasn't staying at home for almost a month because I just didn't feel safe staying by myself. I actually answered some of these asks tonight while sitting on the bathroom floor because I wasn't sure that I wasn't going to throw up (I didn't though! yay!).

But basically, just about all of my energy is going into figuring out what's wrong with me right now. And when it isn't going into that, it's going into spending time with my friends and loved ones in an attempt to get through some of the pain/stress.

So yeah, things are rough. It's why I haven't been super active on here or ao3 this year. I am having a really difficult time focusing on writing, and that sucks, because I love writing. It's my #1 outlet and like. I fully can't focus on it.

Anyways. I don't really know where to end this, but that's what's going on with me. I might post a little update later on next week if I get any answers. I have a CT scan and an upper gi scan next week to see if they can see anything wrong just from that, and then more tests after that too.

Thanks for asking, though! I appreciate everyone's asks, this was a fun little distraction from all the stuff I just talked about💖

Also want to add for anyone reading this: I have many doctors trying to figure this out right now and they are running every test we can all think of. Please, please do not tell me what thing you think may be causing this in a reply or a tag, because it'll send me down a medical anxiety rabbit hole and then all I'll be doing for the rest of the night is panicking. I know the goal of any kind of comment like that would not be to make me panic, but that is what it would result in. So please, anyone can feel free to reply, but please don't reply with any sort of diagnosis or suggestion of what you think the problem might be. Thank you for understanding 💚

I've had this week off work; my final vacation for the year, and it's flown by. 😫 I've spent it mostly catching up on writing though, and reading as well as visiting some friends and family.

Lots of late nights however, as I have bout of insomnia right now... sigh. So I've been super tired with sandpaper eyes most of this week. 😵‍💫

Back to work on tomorrow so I'm making the most of the last of my free time to get some WIPs worked on. Yay!

Not a lot this week, as I've been busy with writing and reading, so watching things was neglected a little this week.

☆ What have I been up to this week?

Mostly reading and writing and catching up on the usual things that come with adulting. Didn't manage a hike this week as the weather here has been gross. Plus, looks like the frosty weather is on it's way too 🥶

I'm reluctantly thinking about Christmas shopping... bah humbug. I'm not a miser, I love Christmas - just not the expense that comes with it! 😬

I am honestly in shock over how much I wrote in 2023. I had no idea that the rest of the year would turn out this way when I posted 'The Boy With The Storm-Colored Eyes'. Now, I'm done posting the companion fic, 'Another Deep Dive All The Way Down' and I'm having feelings.

Spoilers for both fics under the cut!

I adore Mermaid!Charles so much. Like I said in my very first author's note, it was the first fic that I wrote where I felt like it was good enough to share with the world.

He's sweet and naïve and completely uncaring about social norms since he's, you know, a mermaid. I can't blame Pierre for being completely besotted right from the start.

And I also had no idea that my handful of throwaway lines ("cute Spanish barista", "it's still early days with Carlos", etc.) would turn into a 70k+ epic. Some part of me feel like I could have done so much more with the jealousy and the angst, but I'm overall very pleased with how it turned out.

It's funny, it's lighthearted, it hits high notes and low notes, it tells the story of what happened when Charles couldn't be there to see, and it shows off the friendship of these amazing characters.

One of my favorite things is Pierre being the tactile best friend. Charles sees some of that, but he doesn't understand how unusual it is so it doesn't really register for him to think or talk about it.

Carlos, on the other hand, has his bouts of irrational jealousy. I love thinking about his perspective going from hey, this guy is cute!, to oh, wait, they're together?, to wait, they're ~not~ together?, and it's objectively hilarious.

Honestly, Pierre probably should have let Lando tell Carlos what the deal was with Charles but, understandably, he was betrayed by one of his best friends and that sort of thing cuts deep. If one of his decades-long friends was willing to hurt him, why would he trust the new coffee-shop owner that he's only known for less than a year?

There was always the chance that Carlos could have easily run to any news outlet and sold the story and become rich/famous as soon as he found out about Charles. It was only after Carlos accepted Pierre's friendship (and asked for Pierre's assistance with proposing) that Pierre felt like he could trust Carlos.

So, really, Another Deep Dive is more about friendship than romantic relationships. It's about balancing platonic love with romantic love. How both types of love are so incredibly important and that one does not negate the other.

And I love it so much. As I said in my author's notes, I had everything minus half the epilogue just sitting there for ages. It took the WIP ask game to give me the final push to finish it and it's so satisfying to finish out the year by posting this story.

This universe brings me so much joy. I will absolutely write prompted snippets of ANYTHING from this world or answer whatever questions anyone has in my inbox.

💚 WIP Wednesay 💚

It's WIP Wednesday, and I've got an update for my upcoming vampire!Fox x fem!reader fic for @anxiouspineapple99 Halloween Party!!!

The fic finally has a title and is currently sitting pretty at 5k+ words (short fics are just not my style 😅). It's going to be a doozy of a one-shot! Full of angst, fluff, and eroticism.

Below is a little snippet from the draft:

Fox stops in front of you and drops the lifeless body beside you. The man’s cold, dead eyes meet your live ones, and you feel sick to your stomach. You look up at the clone in fear and see now that his armor is red, red like the Coruscant Guard. Your breath quickens as you notice the blood smeared on his face and the elongated fangs visible as he pants.

“You’re a… a…” you stammer as you slowly inch away from his looming presence.

“A vampire?” Fox finishes your sentence, still feeling woozy from the alcohol invading his system.

“That’s… impossible,” you continue to be at a loss for words, your brain flipping between fight, flight, or freeze. Sure, you’ve read stories of vampires, but they were just stories. Vampires didn’t exist in real life, did they? You’re not sure what to think. You look around everywhere, except in front of you, looking desperately for an escape.

Fox kneels down in front of you and grabs your chin, forcing you to look into his caramel eyes. “This is our little secret. Do you understand?”

You nod your head, too shocked to give a verbal response.

Fox searches your face for a moment, unsure of what he’s looking for, but eventually, he releases you. “Run along, little one,” he whispers darkly, “or the fox might catch you.”

Wednesday WIP

Hello! 👋🏽 Nerdie here, I am working on a few things:

1. A second entry for @undercoverpena ‘s April Showers Challenge (maybe featuring an agent I haven’t written for a bit). I had a burst of an idea which was different than the original one I had. Such is a Nerdie brain. Don't get lost in there, but there are cookies.

2. Finally progress of my “Wedding 101 with Dieter” fic! I had been having trouble with it. I’m happy to have more Maya, Dieter and Daisy. 🤭 I apologize to @angelofsmalldeath-codeine in advance for any undue stress I shall cause you.

3. Going to finish up my short Frankie body part series which sounds menacing but is the opposite. 😂 Very much so lol It’s called “Only Parts of you Mr. Morales.”

4. I’m working on a Javier Peña series because I feel like I need to give him something nice. Just one thing. 😆 It's very sweet, I have 2 chapters and no idea what to call it. Pfft, go figure. No idea how long it will be - sorry, won't be ready for a bit. Between Javier P and Joel recent. I need to be nice to them. They’re both very haunted. 😖

5. I'm still working on both Din fics and Benny. I'm redoing the outlines. Bullet points are friends and not our enemies. I think. Will there be more random Star Wars people? Is Obi Wan Kenobi a children’s author and Luke that old man who swings his lightsaber in the yard?! Both these things are true. 😌 Messing with Star Wars canon one character at a time. 😂😂😂 The sweet Din fic will remain so. My walking pile of nervous Beskar. 💚

And that's about it, I've cut back a bit on writing to do more school work (papers...ugh...writing about not Pedro. 👀 Eww...)

Anyway, somehow, I went from being stuck in chapter five for 'Weddings 101 with Dieter' to now being in chapter six. I'd like to thank Hemmy for being so encouraging and @megamindsecretlair for discussing Pedro and Oscar with me the other night. I feel like I should make notes and keep both of those in mind for future fics because it's the right thing to do.🫡 Just thinking about it is… 🫠

This is a small excerpt from chapter six, we should all know Nerdie's humor by now 🤣:

“Who’s banging on my door this damn early?! You better get out of here!” “Dee at least ask who it is.” “I don’t care, it could be the president, pope or, no Beyonce could come in.” “I am not meeting Beyonce in my robe. My hair is a mess, my face is puffy, I haven’t showered yet…that’s not who it is!” “I mean, if she shows up on this door, she’s gonna have to be okay with my bare ass, balls and your robe with your cute puffy face. It’s just us. You don’t need one. I’m just going to take it back off to eat you for-” “MR. BRAVO IT’S ME ZACK! YOUR ASSISTANT!” He screamed, he didn’t need to hear Dieter removing anything off of Maya or eating her in any capacity, they can do that after he leaves later. Never any filter with this damn man, he just needs to remind himself of his loans. This job pays the loans.

Gotta love how....open Dieter is with everything. Even Sasha Fierce is not safe. 😭

Second is from my pending Javier Peña fic (I'll think of a good name, I swear!):

Meeting his gaze had her mouth run dry, the sandy tone to his skin contrasted with more papaya tones in his neck. Dark hair and kind eyes behind a gold pair of aviators perched on his curved nose. Tourmaline waves parted on the left side of his crown were matched by his bold eyebrows and thick mustache. His lips were a lace pink and plush. The sunlight made the sweat along his neck glimmer, accentuating its definition. The light blue shirt made the reds and browns in his skin stand out even more. “Did you need to get some fresh air too?” She asked, he could be doing that, escaping someone like she was doing or something else entirely. Now she was curious too, about this man who’d chosen to sit next to her.

I very much enjoy my description of Javier, hehe 😉
