Hi (I really did not know what to do with my hair this day and although this discomfort/sensory annoyance to me is painfully obvious the pics have grown on me)

You know what, it really sucks not seeing a lot of lgbt poc in the media.π₯Ί Not even a fictional character, I see a bunch of yt enbies have models on how they would love their styles to be and have the ability to look just like the person they aspire to be. (Even fictional) When they do have poc characters they don't really go very broad with their characteristics. I don't know.
(If you're a poc and nonbinary can you reblog with a person/character (it being fictional, historical, etc) that is your gender goal?)

If you're a trans POC please stay alive!!
Even if it seems like the whole world is against you, I promise there are people out there who care about you. One day there will be a world where we can live freely.

We need better queer representation in shows movies and books
We need queer POC
We need people who don't want to label their gender or sexuality
We need trans people who's transition goals aren't to look cis
We need queer people with diverse religions
We need queer people who use pronouns that don't "match" their gender
We need aromantic and asexual characters
We need disabled queer people
We need queer people who use multiple labels for themselves
We need queer people who's entire personality isn't being queer
We need queer people who aren't just there because of romance
We need real and diverse queer people in the media

if you are a person of color and are struggling to understand or express your own gender because you do not and/or cannot conform to white beauty & gender standards you're not alone and you do not have to warp yourself to suit someone else's narrative- every culture on this planet has their own relationship with biological sex & gender and you do not have to mold yourself to suit gender roles that literally just don't exist in your cultures, or don't make sense to you
you do not have to try to change your face, hair or body to match standards that don't apply to you. you are allowed to approach gender in your own way, in whatever ways make sense to you. it's your life, your gender, your culture, your expression. you don't have to screw yourself over like that. good luck in finding the real you, you'll find them

My relationship with my hair is so huge in so many ways. In reclamation of my culture, in recovery from racism in a western world, in the physical ways it helps me continually learn to take care of myself, to be patient with growth, and remember my physical self needs continual feeding and love to blossom.
Also as someone neurodivergent it has always meant a great deal to me sensory wise, not only does it genuinely block out certain things that would overstimulate me otherwise, but itβs also the source to many favourite stims that have not really changed since early childhood

Why do they make it so difficult to get testosterone?! Like you know I have to take it every other week and being off and on can lead to dangerous outcomes for my body. But no, continue to use a system that doesn't work because you don't trust me to safely or knowingly take this life-saving hormone. I'm not stupid, give me more to last me a bit longer, and stop waiting for the last minute to give me it! Why are you making it so difficult!? (I live in a state that is allegedly supposed to be on my side and fighting for my rights in health care.π) Yup, doing such a good job. /Sarcastic
Sorry for the rant, I'm a bit frustrated.
