KYLE CROUSE: Here's a question from Morlas. "It's a beautiful bumbleday outside. The bumblebirds are singing, the bumbleflowers are blooming. On bumbledays like this bumblekasters like you should be answering this bumblequestion. Do you wanna have a bumblebad time? Because if you take one more bumblestep you are not going to bumblelike what bumblehappens next. Tangle falls into Undertale what happens?"

IAN FLYNN: Oh, the Paragon route. That's not the official term, I'm mixing with Mass Effect, I know -- but the good route. KYLE: [chuckles] The Pacifist Route? IAN: Pacifist Route! There we go. Yeah. KYLE: She tries to make friends with everybody? IAN: Yeah, she's gonna make friends with everybody. She's gonna laugh at all of Sans' jokes. She's going to save the underworld... home? God, it's been so long, what do they call it? New Home. Ah, I've fallen behind on my Undertale lore. Almost called it Deltarune, jeez o' pete. KYLE: [laughs] IAN: Point is, no, she- she's going to defeat Flowey, she's going to get the best possible end, everyone's going to be happy and, y'know, live happily ever after. Nah, nah, nah, Tangle- Tangle's the best thing to happen. KYLE: Mhm, mhm. Besties Papyrus and Tangle... terrifying. IAN: [chuckles, then in a Papyrus voice] "Now you are blue! That's my attack!" [as Tangle, excited] "Oh my God, I'm blue now!" KYLE: [laughing] The Tangle and Mettaton Dance-off! IAN: [chuckling] Ratings go through the roof within the first ten seconds. She's like, "No no no no no, keep- keep the fight goin', I wanna dance to this music more!" [begins humming Death by Glamour from the Undertale soundtrack] KYLE: [laughs] "Breaking news! Local lemur saves hell!" Tangle looks in the mirror. "Despite everything, it's still you." And then she's like, "Heck yeah!" [chuckles] Starts dancin'. IAN: [chuckles] The biggest hurdle she has is actually wanting to leave Toriel's house and all the pie. Like, she's super comfy. "Aw yeah, this is great!" She can hang out here for awhile! But eventually she'll want to go home, and that will lead to the confrontation, but she'll- it'll take her longer to move on. KYLE: [after chuckling] Yeah. Yeah...

Disney leaving out the backstory for Rapunzels name is so funny to me, because in the fairytale it makes sense but in the movie she's just named after a salad.

There is not NEARLY enough Rapunzel AU fanfics. I'm thinking of mighty witcher Geralt coming across a lone, tall, moss, ivy, and lavender covered tower out in the woods, and being surprised to find a young man imprisoned there. I love the idea that instead of paintings like Disney's Rapunzel used to fill up her time and tower, that instead he sings and makes songs, so there's like.. Lyrics and sheet music scribbled onto the walls.

♡!Optional addons!♡ • Geralt is tracking down an evil infamous mage, of whom turns out to be the captor of this gorgeous musician he found

• Jaskier has blonde hair until it's cut like in Tangled, to call back to his Dandelion roots (hah.. Roots... Like hair... and dandelions..) • We could go the Disney's Tangled route and have there be a lost Prince Julian that Jaskier just so happens to resemble (and secretly is)

• Perhaps Jaskier is physically bound there by magic or chains, Or perhaps he's there out of nothing more than guilt, shame, and/or fear toward the person keeping him there • Perhaps Jaskier is a painter in this universe, and above all, wants to see real buttercups, dandelions, etc, out in the wild, for they don't grow near his tower, and the best he can get is his own paintings of their descriptions in books.

• Maybe if we feel more adventurous, Jaskier could be part harpy, kept in a mage's tower in a birdcage, kept for his magical hair activated by his magical singing (Ooh, this gives me more bird jaskier ideas.. You might see those soon)

• Or perhaps, after Blaviken, a witcher is sealed away in a tower, only for some dumbass (affectionate) struggling bard to stroll across and think it a perfect shelter from the oncoming rain.

Tangle Tales: Tangle in Middle Earth

KYLE CROUSE: SamCyberCat has a question! “We have a lot of these ‘putting IDW characters in different worlds’ questions, so how would Tangle fare if she took on the role of Frodo in Lord of the Rings? As a bonus, Jewel can be Sam, because they came from the same home town. All other characters remain the same.”

IAN FLYNN: Uh… you know what? It would probably play out generally the same, anyway. KYLE: [laughs] IAN: You would just have a more immediately upbeat and happy… [hesitantly] Frangle? KYLE: Frangle! [laughing] IAN: Frogle… KYLE: Frodangle? IAN: Frogle… Nah, I dunno. I guess Jewelwise Gamgee? But anyway, you got Tangle goin’, “Maybe I can just reach Mount Doom from here?” And starts stretching the tail out. [clicks tongue, then as Tangle] “Nope, can’t get that far. Oh well.” KYLE: [chuckling] IAN: [as Tangle] “Let’s go on an adventure!” KYLE: Aw, man. I just want Tangle telling, uh… [chuckling] …uh, telling Gandalf to, “Alright, keep your secrets.”[both chuckle] IAN: I mean, pretty much that entire opening sequence, I can just see… Tangle, more or less… KYLE: Yeah. IAN:  …rolling with it. And, you know, all the more tragic that someone so upbeat and undefeatable being corrupted by the Ring. KYLE: Mhm. IAN: Heartbreaking when she tells Jewel to go home, and the utter, absolute triumph of Jewel saying, “I may not be able to carry it, but I can carry you!” And just taking flight and hauling Tangle KYLE: [laughing] Oho, yes! Yes! IAN: Although when Bilbo goes whole, you know, snarly scary jumpscare, she’s gonna punch him across the room. That would be different. KYLE: [cackling] IAN: Just like, [hisses] Pow! [as Tangle, misspeaking] “Oh, sorry Uncle Frodo! So sorry! Are you okay? Oooh, [inhales] you’re a hundred and eleventy, I bet that smarts. I’m so sorry.” KYLE: You mean Bilbo, not Frodo? [chuckles] IAN: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [sigh] One of the ‘bo’s. KYLE: [laughs] One of those guys! I dunno. IAN: Okay, that would be another difference. She would actually be fighting the Cave Troll. Like, actively trying to get into the mix, but.. KYLE: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [laughs] You shall not pass!
