i need the bkdk reluctant bff era where things are relatively normal post war and they have to awkwardly try to do normal friend things because they both acknowledge that their lives are intertwined and they're actually important to each other but there's no war where they can simply express all their feelings by sacrificing themselves for each other so instead they just have to like hang out and idk watch movies together or something

Not Enough
has anyone else just wanted Danny to go completely fucking feral at Dash? anyone?
yeah me too
this is some truly self-indulgent shit y'all
"Hey Fenton!"
Danny slammed his locker shut, sighing as Dash clapped him roughly on the shoulder.
"I'm throwin' a huge ass Halloween party this weekend, ghosts are all about Halloween right? You should totally come!"
It wasn't the first party Danny had been invited to since being outed as Phantom, but somehow Dash didn't seem to get the hint that he wasn't even remotely interested.
"No." Danny snapped, he threw his bag over his shoulder and turned his back on Dash, walking away without another word.
"What's your problem?"
Danny stopped, turning back around with a face of utter disdain.
"Excuse me?"
"I've been trying to be nice, but all you do is just brush me off! Like you can't even pretend to be busy or something?"
Danny stared, mouth halfway open as he tried to find the words to respond.
"Are you actually serious?" he finally choked out, almost too bewildered to be angry.
Almost.
"You're not still mad about all that stuff from before right?" Dash asked. "Like, I don't even do that shit anymore, it's over."
"Is it?" Danny's eyes flashed brightly and Dash took a half step back as the air went cold. "Because I'm pretty sure it was just yesterday that I pulled Mikey out of his locker."
"Well, yeah but that was Mikey." Dash laughed. "C'mon man, I wouldn't do that to you. We're totally cool now, so why you gotta keep blowing me off? You talk to Kwan like it's not big deal, and he used to wail on you all the time!"
Danny took a deep, slow breath, then another.
"Have you considered that maybe it's because I don't like you?" Danny said through gritted teeth.
Dash huffed, shoving his hands into his pockets and staring at the ground.
"Look, I get it, I was a jerk, but it's over! I'm actually trying to be nice, now you're the one being an asshole."
Danny looked as though he'd been slapped.
"You're such a fucking idiot Dash." Said Danny, his voice trembling with barely restrained rage. "You can't just treat someone like shit every single day for two years and then expect them to get over it because you invited them to a few parties."
"Then how come Kwan gets to hang out with you?" Dash could feel his face heating up. "You're just gonna let him off the hook? That's not fair!"
"HE APOLOGISED!"
In one thunderous moment, every locker in the hallway slammed open, sending papers and books flying across the floor. The few students still packing up their things got the fuck out of dodge, whether this was a ghost thing or a Fenton thing (was there even a difference at this point?) they wanted no part of it.
Dash couldn't move, his feet felt heavy, he wasn't entirely sure if Danny had done something to him with his ghost powers, or if he was just afraid.
Because he was certainly afraid.
Even after everyone found out, Danny still didn't use his powers at school unless it was a ghost emergency. He didn't use them for pranks, didn't use them to get even, didn't even use them to show off.
But he was sure as hell using them now, and Dash suddenly realised why he was always holding himself back.
He was terrifying.
Danny took a few steps forward, stopping barely an arm's length away from where Dash was rooted to the spot, trembling.
"Kwan apologised to me." He said, quietly this time. "He apologised to my friends, he even apologised to some other kids, and when I told him that I wasn't ready to forgive him, he accepted that and left me alone until I was ready to talk to him again."
Dash wanted to speak, but he couldn't seem to make his brain form the words he needed, it was too busy buzzing with danger run danger get out run run RUN.
"You made every single day of my life miserable for two whole fucking years, and that isn't even counting the bullshit you pulled in middle school. How do you feel right now Dash? Does it scare you to be around me? Does it scare you to be at the mercy of someone that you know damn well can hurt you?" Danny leant in, grabbing a fistful of letterman jacket. "I hope it does, because now maybe you'll have an idea what it was like for me going to school every fucking day knowing that you would be there, ready and waiting to hurt me. Every single FUCKING day."
Dash found himself being thrown backwards, his feet finally able to move again as he caught himself.
"I'm s-sor-sorry." he mumbled, his lips felt numb and tingly and his head swam with panic as he struggled to get the words out. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry."
"Are you?" Danny's voice cracked, his face wasn't twisted in rage anymore, his eyes were blue once again, and shining with tears. "Are you really sorry for hurting me? Or are you just sorry that the guy you were beating the shit out of turned out to be Phantom?"
"I didn't... I didn't know." Dash gasped out, he could barely hear his own words, all he could hear was his own heart beating loudly in his ears as he struggled to draw in breath. "I didn't know it was like that, I just thought-"
Thought what? What had he thought? That he wasn't really hurting anyone? That it wasn't that big a deal?
No, he hadn't thought that, because he hadn't thought at all.
"And you're gonna stand here and tell me I'm an asshole." Danny was almost sobbing as he raggedly spat out each word. "Because I won't forgive you for something you never even apologised for. This is the first time you even acknowledged that you were an absolute jerk to me, and you followed it up by demanding that I just get over it."
Dash stared down at the floor, it sounded terrible when Danny put it like that.
"I wasn't... demanding anything." he said, he was embarrassed by how whiny he sounded. "I was just trying to make it up to you, I was trying, I just thought... it's not fair that I can't have second chance. I was trying so hard and all I wanted was a second chance-"
"I DON'T CARE." Danny's eyes were screwed up tight, but it didn't stop the tears of fury from pouring down his cheeks, his voice so shredded with pain it was barely recognisable. "I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU. I DON'T CARE ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT. I DON'T OWE YOU A SECOND CHANCE. I DON'T OWE YOU ANYTHING. YOU FUCKED ME UP AND YOU. CAN'T. FIX IT."
Dash didn't know what to do. Danny was openly sobbing, his breaths came out in grunts as he couldn't hold the rage and misery back.
He was still standing within arm's reach, Dash cautiously put out a hand, to comfort him? He wasn't sure, but he barely brushed Danny's shoulder before Dash found himself spinning violently and his cheekbone exploded with sudden pain as he hit the floor. Cold hands drew away from him roughly.
"DON'T TOUCH ME." Danny screamed. "DON'T YOU EVER FUCKING TOUCH ME EVER AGAIN."
Dash watched as Danny grabbed his backpack and his footsteps disappeared down the hall.
It was over, just like that it was over.
Dash sat up and touched his face, he wasn't bleeding but he knew it would bruise pretty bad. It hurt, he would be squinting through one eye for a few days.
Danny could have done this to him at any time, he could have done it to him every day if he wanted, and maybe he would, now that he'd done it once.
The thought made Dash feel cold as dread pooled in his stomach.
The next day Dash told people he'd gotten his black eye from playing football, his team knew it wasn't true, but they didn't ask. He kept his eye out for Danny, wondering if he would pop up invisibly and knock him off his feet, or drag him through the floor, or hit him when nobody was looking.
He clung to Kwan's side all day, afraid to be alone.
Phantom could be anywhere, he could get him anywhere, if he wanted to hurt Dash nobody would be able to stop him.
Nobody had been able to stop Dash, and he didn't even have superpowers.
But in the end, nothing happened.
Dash went through the day untouched. Danny didn't even look his way. Not once. He just acted like yesterday never happened.
But it did happen, Dash still had the bruise on his cheek, and the terror set deep in his bones.
In the following days, weeks, months, Danny still never touched him, never looked at him, never talked to him. Dash realised that Danny probably wasn't going to do anything else after all, that maybe he hadn't even meant to hurt him in the first place.
He was a hero after all, he protected people, even people he didn't like. The only time he had ever come into contact with Dash again was to haul him out of the way of a ghost, and he did so with the same care as he would with anyone else.
Danny wasn't like him, he didn't gloat about hurting him, he didn't revel in the fact that Dash was scared of him. He just went about his day, acting for all the world like Dash didn't even exist.
Dash never gave him a true apology, it was clear Danny didn't want one, it was far too late for that.
It left Dash with a sick feeling of unfulfillment. He understood now what Danny had been going through, the pain, the terror, he wanted Danny to know that he was truly sorry, that he really had changed this time.
But he couldn't, because forcing an unwanted apology on him would just make Dash the asshole all over again, he was trying to steal a forgiveness that he could never have.
So he had to find his closure somewhere else.
He stopped picking on Mikey, and Nathan, and all of the other nerds he frequently hassled. He even tried apologising to them, some forgave him, others didn't, and he had to be okay with that. He struggled not to lash out, it still felt unfair, the world had always told him that you were supposed to forgive people when they apologised. It always happened that way on tv, in the cartoons he grew up watching. The mean kid would apologise, the other kids would forgive him, and they would all become friends.
He was realising that the real world was a whole lot more complicated than that, he didn't earn forgiveness just because apologising was hard, he was learning fast that he didn't earn any brownie points for taking responsibility for his actions. He was just doing what any decent person should.
It took him a while to come to terms with that, to stop being angry at people for not letting him make it up to them. For not letting him prove that he had changed.
All it took was to occasionally pass by Danny in the hallways for him to cool his jets and think more clearly. To remind him that he was the bad guy, he was the one who hurt people, that his victims did not owe him anything.
In his last year of school, he had found himself watching the juniors below him falling into the same behaviours, the same struggle for power and control. Pushing other kids around without so much as sparing a thought to how it made them feel.
After a lengthy chat with Mr Lancer, Dash was given permission to pull out younger students from detention one day a week. He would talk to them, ask about their lives, ask about their feelings. He would ask why they lashed out, why they thought it was okay to treat people that way. Most of them didn't have an answer, or simply refused to give one, but he would push, he wouldn't let them hide in ignorance like he did.
Some of them did feel guilt for the way they treated people, and they only needed someone they could talk to who could understand what they were going through, so they wouldn't take it out on whoever was around at the time.
Others would take more effort, they need a far stronger push in the right direction, they were defensive and combative, selfish and unapologetic.
Dash had been one of those kids, he knew they would be hard work, but he did his best. He couldn't help all of them, some were simply unwilling to change.
So he contacted the school-board, he pushed for better protection for students, more programs to help troubled kids, he volunteered to keep running his own counselling groups even after he graduated.
It still never felt like enough.
After graduation he turned down his favoured college to attend one closer to home so he could continue his volunteer work. He joined petitions and rallies for change across entire school districts, he spoke at other schools' anti-bullying campaigns. He'd attended enough of them in his own childhood that he knew they did next to nothing, but it gave him the opportunity to reach out to kids for one on one support.
He found more volunteers for his counselling groups, he helped people start them up in other local schools. It was a lot of work, especially when he was also juggling his college studies. He was taking a major in psychology, it was brutal, Dash had never been good at studying, but he'd decided that this was what he needed to do, this was important to him.
It still wasn't enough.
It would come at him in the night, as soon as he laid his head down on his pillow. He would see the faces of all the kids he hurt, it felt so much worse the older he got, they just looked younger and younger every time the memories came back to plague him.
He had beat the shit out of children. Kids who were the same age as the students he now counselled. He beat them until they were bloody or bruised, he shoved them into lockers, pulled pranks that humiliated them in front of the whole school, and he had laughed.
He'd laughed at their pain.
When the guilt weighed him down, he would begin searching for new programs to volunteer for, new petitions or rallies to get behind, always finding another way to help protect kids like Danny from kids like him.
And to protect kids like him from doing things that would one day haunt them.
He had spread himself thin across every school in the district, barely keeping afloat at college, but it wasn't enough.
It was never enough.
Kids still slipped through the cracks, schools were still too lenient, there were too many kids, not enough volunteers.
Casper High was holding another anti-bullying assembly. It had been a few years since Dash had attended one at his old school. This year they had excitedly announced that they'd even secured an appearance from Phantom himself.
Dash's blood ran cold, his hands shook as he went over his notes, he was slated to do his speech alongside Phantom's, they would be sharing the stage for a solid 75 minutes, barely a few feet from one another.
When Danny showed up he was already in Phantom form, Dash spotted him discussing emergency exit plans with one of the organisers in the event of a ghost attack.
He was so different from when they were in school.
He was tall, and broad, he stood with confidence and had a good natured charm to him. He was a hero, he was strong, he was brave. He could fight monsters ten times his size with a smirk and a witty one liner. He could take on anything, he wasn't afraid of anything.
He was a kid, running down a hallway, screaming words that still pierced through Dash's mind every time he saw the hero's face.
"DON'T TOUCH ME."
Dash's hands clenched around his notes, shaking so violently that they barely even looked like words.
"DON'T YOU EVER FUCKING TOUCH ME EVER AGAIN."
"Dash?"
A deep voice cut through the chaos in Dash's mind as cold hands closed over his tremblings ones.
"It's good to see you again."
Phantom was smiling at him, his hands still closed around Dash's.
"Good... good to see you too." Dash mumbled, not able to meet the man's eyes.
Phantom paused before releasing Dash's hands.
"I've heard all about your work." Phantom grinned as Dash finally looked up and met his eyes.
"Yeah." he said, and then before his mind could catch up with his mouth, he blurted out, "I'm sorry, for everything."
Phantom's eyebrows rose for a moment, before he gave a gentle smile and clapped a hand on Dash's shoulder.
"I know." he said warmly. "Thank you."
They gave their speeches, Dash had told his story many times before, the victim that he'd pushed to breaking point, the boy whose words drove the change that made him the man he had become.
For the first time ever, that boy was listening.
After the assembly had packed up and the volunteers were heading home, it was Danny Fenton who approached Dash and asked if he wanted to go grab a beer together.
Dash thought it would be rather awkward, but Danny had plenty of experience socialising with the public, awkwardness slid right off him, and soon enough Dash found himself laughing alongside Danny as he told a story about the new misadventures of the Box Ghost.
He returned to his dorm that night, head still swimming from one too many beers, and he had the best sleep of his life.
He pulled back on some of his volunteer work, hunting for new people to take his place as he focused on college. He was falling far behind, but he would work hard to make his way back. As a volunteer he could only do so much, but with the right education and training, he could do so much more.
The guilt still haunted him, every so often when the pressure and the stress weighed heavy, it would creep back into his mind. It would probably never go away, not entirely, but at least now he had his closure.
Finally, it was enough.

BnHA Chapter 318: On Your Left
Previously on BnHA: The Hawksquad+Lurkers were all “well this sucks” and sat around a bit talking about how maybe they should actually come up with a new plan that is actually good, but then in the end they were like “nah.” Deku was all, “THERE’S SOMETHING INSIDE ME THAT PULLS BENEATH THE SURFACE!! CONSUMING, CONFUSING!! THIS LACK OF SELF CONTROL I FEAR IS NEVERENDING. IT’S HAUNTING HOW I CANT SEEM TO FIND MYSELF AGAIN. MY WALLS ARE CLOSING IN.” Just, literally that whole entire song. All Might was all “Deku you should take care of yourself, try eating a thing,” and Deku was all “BYE, ALL MIGHT,” and just LEFT. He left!!! What the fuck!!!
Today on BnHA: Endeavor is all, “maybe if Deku didn’t listen to All Might he’ll listen to me instead.” Deku is all, “[doesn’t listen to Endeavor]” because, well, yeah. The Vestiges are all, “surprisingly, even we are a little concerned -- maybe you should get some rest, kid.” Deku is all, “((Ò ‸ Ó)).” The Vestiges are all, “holy shit.” Deku is all, “[wanders the ruined city streets terrifying the populace on account of him looking like Shelob had a baby with one of the Nazgul].” Some shriveled-up puppeteer villain asshole is all, “HORIKOSHI SAID IT’S MY TURN TO ATTACK DEKU TODAY SO I AM GOING TO SUMMON MY FRIGHTENED HELPLESS ATTACK MOB!!” Kacchan is all “WHADDYA MEAN THEY FOUND THE NERD!!! -- oh wait, that’s me, I found him. I found the nerd, you guys.” And just in time, too. I was about to owe a whole lot of people a whole lot of dollars.
so I have been super good about spoilers this week as always, but let me tell you guys, for the past 36 hours my dash filters have basically been nonstop “manga spoilers” this and “bnha 318” that, and so I’m coming in with a fair amount of hype here. your move, Horikoshi
oh, good! they got Endeavor to call Deku to try to talk him out of it. what a great and wonderful plan
Tumblr media
“listen up kid, you haven’t slept since March and you are basically a walking biohazard right now, I’m just telling it like it is. didn’t you get shot like three times?? and there was a whole thing about how you urgently needed medical attention?? and supposedly we gave it to you, but I mean you haven’t even changed your clothes and don’t seem to have any fresh bandages or anything, so did we?? did we, really?? and also we all got blown up yesterday, so yeah.” hmm he’s making some reasonable points here you guys, but you sure do go on and on, Endeavor
oh he says foreign aid is finally on its way! I’m sure they’ll be very helpful. I mean in fairness they can hardly be worse than the home-grown heroes at this point
hey Enji, could you maybe try appealing to Deku the sixteen-year-old human boy, as opposed to Deku The World’s Last Hope? he does have value beyond his quirk. I know that’s always been an incredibly difficult concept for you to grasp, but could you maybe TRY, jesus
Tumblr media
and also we’re worried about you as a person?? you’re just a kid and you’re pushing yourself way too hard?? you were going to say that part next, right. why the hell didn’t Hawks make this call instead
“don’t worry about me... I’m completely fine” Deku you do understand that saying it over and over again doesn’t actually make it true
and again with the rush!! all the rush rush rush!! we’re running out of time, we can’t let AFO and Tomura keep getting stronger, I have to end this now, there’s no time to rest, etc. etc. etc. just the constant pressure of this whole big countdown on top of everything else
holy shit, you KNOW it’s bad when even the Vestiges are telling him to chill
Tumblr media
these guys are basically the walking talking embodiments of self-sacrifice; if even they’re telling him he needs to take five, then he must seriously be like half a step away from death’s door
OH SHIT LMAO
Tumblr media
DIDN’T EVEN LET HIM FINISH HIS SENTENCE BEFORE HE SENT HIM INTO THE FUCKING SHADOW REALM WITH THAT FUCKING LOOK. HOLY FUCK. DIDN’T EVEN KNOW IT WAS POSSIBLE TO DIE TWICE. SHIT
(ETA: so I’m pretty sure this was just Danger Sense activating and so he cut them off to go do more hero stuff, but I’m gonna go ahead and stick to my original interpretation anyway lol.)
anyway so how’s everybody doing. we all good? En, you good? Banjou? Shino? I’m imagining you guys all curled up in a little ball on the floor right now lol. can’t say I blame you though, no shame
lmaoooooooooooo
Tumblr media
“SHEESH.” sheesh indeed, lmao. “what in the FUCK was that”
see, this is why y’all need Kacchan. you need someone who’s not going to back down from him no matter what. if it’s a matter of out-stubborning Midoriya fucking Izuku, then there’s only one other person on the planet capable of that, and we all know it. don’t pretend like you don’t. I am not going to shut up about this! we’ve had our hurt so now what about SOME COMFORT, DAMMIT
“I’m afraid that he’s becoming influenced by my conscience” nah are you kidding Nana this is all 100% made-in-Japan pure original Deku right here
see, Banjou gets it. “that kid, he’s totally going on his own.” exactly. this was so inevitable it was basically scientific law
“well I for one don’t see the problem with Deku being so obsessed with saving everyone else that he pushes himself until his body and soul literally fall apart” okay, whose speech bubbles are these?? we’re about to have words
lol of course
Tumblr media
well you always did prefer the direct route didn’t you. but even you can’t possibly think this is okay lol
Tumblr media
dark AU!Kacchan please tell us more about your badass doomed timeline in which everything went to shit and you apparently had the same character arc that Deku is having right now except it somehow made you sexier instead of turning you into a rabid t-rex. I have so many questions
oh so now you want to help??? well -- good, actually. sorry if that sounded offended just now lol
Tumblr media
(ETA: so at first when I got to the end of this chapter I was wondering if Katsuki B. had somehow summoned his alternate-universe counterpart through trippy OFA space telepathy lol. but in the original Japanese there’s no reference to “we”, so this appears to be a mistranslation. this line should probably read more like “if there’s something/someone out there that would be able to complement/complete the current Midoriya Izuku [it would be]…” which, oh hello, is that Horikoshi once again reaffirming that Deku and Bakugou complete each other lol. “guess what guys, the Vestiges ship it too" heck yeah. they know what’s up!)
look how admiring his boyfriends are. HORIKOSHI GIVE US THE REST OF THIS BACKSTORY ALREADY GODDAMMIT
“meanwhile somewhere in the depths of the ruined city, Deku was having a dance-off with the villains”
Tumblr media
I like how the villains all have this “AHH WHAT THE FUCK” kind of body language to them lol. I mean if it were me, and an eldritch horror suddenly clawed its way from the shadows with its writhing glowy tentacles and pants-shitting nuclear death stare, I would probably just die on the spot. no need to stick around. only pain awaits
lol for a minute I thought this was Can’t Ya See-kun and I was like “WHAT A FASCINATING CROSSING OF PATHS” but it’s just some random girl
Tumblr media
he seems genuinely confused lol
Tumblr media
Deku it’s because you look like something that crawled out of a sewer drain, sweetheart
lol they just took his word for it?
Tumblr media
so trusting. even though they’re immediately hauling ass anyway just to be safe lmao
“my appearance is frightening to others” no shit Deku it’s because you look like a fucking alien exorcism. you look like a Lich that got caught up in an oil spill my dude
NO NOT THE CHOSEN ONE ANGST AGAIN
Tumblr media
I RAN OUT OF ESSAY JUICE FOR THIS ALREADY HORIKOSHI!! I’VE BEEN TALKING ABOUT IT FOR MONTHS NOW WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG!! BUT ANYWAYS, GOOD!! I MEAN, BAD, THOUGH, OBVIOUSLY. BUT YES
“ENJOY THIS MONTAGE OF DEKU BATTLING A RANDOM KAIJU AND WANDERING THE WOODS LIKE A DERANGED GREEN BABA YAGA” okay yes but sir, exactly how much longer is this going to go on. if it’s a matter of you wanting to make sure we get it, let me assure you that aside from a few stray chuunis who think that Deku embracing the Darkness is the coolest thing he’s ever done, all of us here in fandom fully comprehend that this is Not Good
-- OH SO IT’S LIKE THAT
Tumblr media
really. with the flashbacks to his loved ones’ smiling faces and everything. not even gonna try to aim above the belt, huh
AND NO KACCHAN??! NO CLASSMATES?!?! IS HE PURPOSELY NOT THINKING OF THEM??? OR ARE THEY BEING SAVED FOR THE NEXT PAGE??? SO HELP ME, IF THE NEXT PART OF THIS SENTENCE IS “CAN PROTECT THEM”, OR EVEN WORSE, “CAN SEE THEIR SMILING FACES AGAIN”, I...
WHAT DID I JUST SAY
Tumblr media
(ETA: my man did Sero and Kaminari fucking dirty lmao. I miss their smiling faces too omg.)
the sheer, unparalleled irony of him saying this while he stands there looking like the gargoyle demon from Fantasia got crossed with an umbrella that got struck by lightning. Deku :(
oi who the fuck is this clown
Tumblr media
is he controlling this mob with his evil hair. “what if I made an exhausted, running-on-fumes Deku battle a brainwashed mob at Ground Zero.” Horikoshi do you just have like a checklist of horrible things you want to do to your protagonist
easy there Sasori
Tumblr media
well joke’s on you buddy because he’s apparently “completely fine”, so
“here’s to hoping that you know more about AFO’s location than the others” jesus christ Deku you really have hung your mercy out to dry huh
now he’s forcing his mob of terrified prisoners to attack Deku ahhhh. sucks to be them. at least they’re not being controlled by bees
so Deku is saying that Sasori’s control can be broken with “physical trauma.” similar to Shinsou’s quirk I guess. but so does that mean he’s gonna have to hurt them? ( •﹏•)
NO NOT MORE SAD EYES
Tumblr media
“DEATH BY EMPATHY!!!” HORIKOSHI NO
fuck. he looks like he’s on the verge of passing out
Tumblr media
this is what happens when you nerf a character’s self-preservation stats in favor of spamming their bone-breaking stats instead. NOW ACCEPTING BRAIN CELL DONATIONS FOR A BOY IN NEED!! with your loving generosity we can hopefully help him live to the ripe old age of seventeen
OMGFGGG
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Tumblr media
[grabs your hands] ლ(*꒪ヮ꒪*)ლ [swings you in a circle] へ(゚◇゚へ)
THASSSSSSSS WHATSSSSSSS UPPPPPPPPPP
HORIKOSHI REALLY SAID FUCK THAT MASK (ノ°ο°)ノ YOU FINALLY LEARNED!! IT’S CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!!!!
JUST FOR YOU KACCHAN, HORIKOSHI LEFT THIS ONE BAD GUY WHO’S STILL WEAK TO FIRE. GOD BLESS
IT’S YOUR COUNTERPART, KATSUKI B!!!! HOW WE DOIN OVER THERE IN THE TRIPPY COSMIC OFA SPACE REALM LOL. DO WE BELIEVE YET, FANDOM???
LIGHTS!!!!
Tumblr media
INSTANT RESULTS!!! IT’S SUPER EFFECTIVE!!!
(ETA: imagine what this must look like to Deku though. he’s been caught up in this dark cloud of despair and exhaustion that’s been building up over... I’m gonna go ahead and say “weeks”, because yeah. and now he finds himself here, in the place where All Might’s legacy ended and the torch was passed to him. and the world is in ruins, and he’s surrounded by frightened people who are all trying to hurt him -- because who isn’t trying to hurt him, these days -- and he’s scrambling to figure this all out, but meanwhile the weariness is finally starting to catch up to him, and so he’s basically just standing there in a fog of complete and utter misery.
and then all of a sudden through that haze, he hears the one voice that’s more familiar than any other that he knows. like, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if he thought he was just imagining it at first. Kacchan showing up to save him right when he’s at his most desperate and feeling the most alone. Kacchan, showing up to save him.
this is the person he always looked up to as a child (to be fair he was quite a strange child lmao). the person who was even closer to him than All Might. the person he always thought was amazing. and bam, here he is now. appearing in the sky out of nowhere to one-shot the bad guy with a single blast (which, btw, that was his armor-piercing attack too lmao dslkjlk take it easy there kiddo). like, that must have felt absolutely surreal to him, especially coming at a time when he’s already half-delirious and barely hanging on to reality. he must have really thought that he was losing it there for a second.
but he’s really there. it really is him. and for this brief moment -- before the rest of the situation catches up to him, and he remembers about all of the fucked-up AFO stuff, and remembers why he was so afraid and why he was pushing everyone away -- for just this one brief moment, he’s too exhausted and stunned to do anything except to just react. just stands there, looking up at him in awe.
and you know, it almost reminds me of...
Tumblr media
just. you guys. the character development. the freaking character development. someone who brings reassurance. someone who shows up and makes you think, “oh, it’s all going to be okay now, because [person] is here.” the role reversals. the growth. the payoff!! because who is the one person who always had faith that Kacchan would one day grow up to become an amazing hero like that. WHO IS IT. YOU ALREADY KNOW.
omg. anyways, bless you Horikoshi, my feels which have been on backorder since fucking September have finally arrived lmao. yes, good, thank you. worth the wait. it is always, always worth the wait. fuck yeah.)
“LOWFRIES” SO YOU’RE TELLING ME THE WHOLE GANG IS HERE, AHHHHHHHH (º̩̩́⌣º̩̩̀ )
BEAUTIFUL. WONDERFUL. SENSATIONAL. I DON’T EVEN CARE THAT JUMP IS ON BREAK NEXT WEEK. THIS RIGHT HERE WILL SUSTAIN ME

Ok, Theory
Ok so in the webcomic Aurora, the “main” character Kendal is an entirely new uncategoriseable entity, a god’s incarnation that survived the god leaving it and developed its own mind and personality.
Now the god that this happens to is the hero god of the city Vash and, like the Ancient Greek Eros or Nike is named after his domain. So what we know about Vash is that he cut his teeth in this god business by defending his city from and defeating the storm god Tynan, the way he does this is explained here with an in universe telling of the story. What we know is that an alien metal and jewel was worked into an incarnation of Vash at a thematically appropriate moment and became an extremely effective power up, enabling Vash to defeat the hitherto undefeated Tynan.
Now how this works in the world built magic system of Aurora is really interesting. So in Aurora it appears they're are two (or eight depending on how you count it) fundamental substances of magic, the elements and soul energy, now we know where elemental magic comes from as a central piece of lore in the main storyline so far has been about the ancient war between the elementals and a Void Dragon and how the elementals died defeating this Void Dragon and their bodies meshed together supplying the materials as the world, but the elements still count, and can be persuaded to act, as one body essentially unique to the other elements and so because they belonged to a living entity with a soul can exist in two states, the material element and a sort of potential/soul element held in other materials or channeled by mages to enact elemental effects.
Now soul energy is something very different and despite the excessive amount of time I've spent explaining the elements, is what we’re focusing on here. Soul  energy is what living things are “made of” being literally the material of souls, now I could be wrong but from I can figure out everything alive contains and in someway uses soul energy, and soul energy has a connection with other soul constructs allowing for an in any capacity uniform group of living things to develop a larger social soul that becomes a god. Vash for instance is a city of people and so through the interaction of their soul energy, construction of early incarnations, and people assigning these incarnations personality or motivations became the hero god the city imagined, as the god itself is made up of the whole cities population who once saw incarnation interpreted them a certain way and influenced some of their aspect. Basically, because the god is their domain how they are viewed by the creatures in their domain effects their personality and most comfortable form.
So what does this really have to do with Kendal. Well if Vash’s sword was constructed from an alien metal, a solid substance, which issomething almost impossible to make without an elemental, after Vash worked his soul energy into like soul shaper monks do with human prosthetics, which would more than likely work some of this starmetal soul energy into his own soul lattice. Then its likely that Kendal’s soul is made of what little of soul star metal was in the solid material of the meteor. And it’s not just background lore magic systems backing this up.
In the series of pages telling the mythical story of Vash’s Sword we find out that it’s being told through the framing device of the smith god who forged it, to a similar style god to Vash of the Fire influenced race of Ignans. Now while why they're talking and what this incredibly effective smith who uses the arcs and emotional journeys of the wielders of his weapons in his smithing process is doing with a god of fire and fire people directly related to one of our adventuring party is incredibly plot important and personally intriguing, there is something else I wanted to focus on here.
Tumblr media
In these panels Tahraim appears to be talking about Dainix, a character Kendal is currently imprisoned with and who are jelling suspiciously well. Now we can see that Tahraim is using his Xanatos gambit forging technique of social engineering to forge out a weapon and fighter for Caliban (probably to fight the fire demon from Dainix’s backstory (who is probably another elemental emissary for Fire (like two other characters currently being heavily associated star metal soul Kendall (I see you Red, with each subsequent layer of brackets I get closer to the truth, witness as my bracketry grows)))) and describing some of the forging fires he’s using fo this weapon (who is probably Dainix, if not definitely)calls one of them “the divine blade”, referring to Vash’s starmetal sword currently held by Kendal, but the blade its self is isnt world shaking, its been around for millennia and everyone is very familiar with its power and prowess as a sword because Vash is an incredibly well known god. But that’s only as a sword, and we know Kendal is world shaking after his discussion with Ilia here where he is told explicitly that the gods fear what he represents but respect the fact that he is an incredibly powerful being with all the strength and ability of a godly incarnation but with no responsibilities of upholding a domain or the limits of staying within they’re domains range. And so the theoretical soul that is Kendal in this incarnation must be made of whatever remainder of star metal soul is left from the solid  star metal in the sword. That had been given the shape and properties of a human/incarnation soul by being weaved into and by Vash and then had the Vash soul ripped apart from they’re shared incarnation leaving the star metal soul to have to develop as its own being in this body
And if all you wanted is proof of this theory you can honestly stop reading here. So far this is dense and a lot and I wanna run through some stuff with this head cannon to nerd out. So if you don't wanna have to read anymore, my argument for this theory is basically through
Kendal being the star metal soul can provide a reason for, guess plot dent instead of plot hole? when Vash takes Kendal to where he is being held by the Collector. The reason this could be a plot dent is that one of the working theories for why Kendal exists can be found in the Sentinels. Essentially building sized stone statues animated by a god semi incarnating in them, its hard to explain so if your interested read here (Also read the comic, it’s really, really good. Like really good. If you get into the extra lore on the website and then scroll through Red’s Aurora Tumblr answers you get to appreciate how truly spectacular her worldbuilding and magic systems are. I mean clearly they’re cohesive and well thought out enough that just off of the magic system you could make a (if I don't say so myself) well reasoned prediction for a major character reveal.) the theory being that because these Sentinels can develop these echoes after being un-possessed by a god over time, the unique way Vash was taken out of his incarnation without dis-corporating it that the body developed a similar echo and is now ambient soul energy drawn into the empty body. However, this wouldn't make sense with Vash taking Kendal to the Collector’s hideaway in his sleep, as if Kendal is made of ambient soul energy he has no actual connection with Vash’s soul and so Vash shouldn't be able to bring him to the crystal he is being held in. But, if Kendal is in fact the star metal soul then he would still have that connection with Vash, as they are the same soul but different parts made of different materials, and so ca operate separately whilst still being so intricately connected.
On one final note, there is one character that already seems to know all this, Tahraim. That Kendal in everyway is the weapon he forged, that they're is a capacity for new elements and therefore different soul energies, that Erin has been possessed by the Void Dragon, and that the Collector has revived life, who has taken Alinua as an emissary, and is using this information not for his own divine or dastardly machinations but on commission. Which is A) a potential threat if Tahraim turns out to be a tad more amoral than he first appears, working as effectively for the next customer instead of esoterically guiding events for the cause of good and B) show cases an incredible mesh of world building and character work with gods being influenced by how their perceived and a god perceived and heralded as an unachievably proficient smith knowing more than any other character or entity we’ve ever seen before and doing exactly what is necessary to forge his commissioned weapons into the most powerful and effective instruments they can be almost only because of how in the magic system some gods are made from ideals and interpretations instead of groups of living things and actually fits the way they are most commonly perceived

A Miraculous DC Crossover
ALL RIGHT!!
I’ve been sucked into this unholy sub-fandom and I have thoughts okay? lots of them. Almost none are coherent and I don’t care. I have no plotline to write a fic but by the gods do I need to get out all my ideas.
Behold:
the Salttm
Lila, obviously. But she’s a petty nuisance at best, and an annoyingly competent akuma to fight at worst. manipulative, but not really dangerous ya feel?
Alya. which like, home girl probably doesn’t deserve but like,,, the drama??
CHLOE REDEMPTION YOU COWARDS
She and Marinette become surprisingly good friends (because I love that for both of them and you can pry it from me cold, dead hands)
Nettie-bug and Queenie
They pick on Adrien together
Mari’s friends Protection Squad That Don’t Take No Shit
Adrien
Chloe
NINO BITCH HE DESERVES MORE LOVE TBH
Alix?? Probably
Luka obvi
Felix (PV)?? Or does Marinette have enough emotionally constipated boys in her life?
(Answer: no. no she does not.)
Nath? He be a good fox tbh. creative and sneaky boi
Kagami!!! I love her
They’re all heroes because I say so.
Felix (Sparrow) is an honorary member even though he doesn’t have a miraculous
He handles PR and other background things along with Chloe
Joined up a few years back when Parisians were getting a bit too critical of the heroes
No Hawkmoth b/c fuck that guy
He existed, just not anymore. Bitch got yeeted
There’s other villains in town now. After Hawkmoth’s defeat other metas/supervillains looked at Paris and was just like, ‘free real estate?”
So now the Miraculous Team are Paris’ Actual Full-Time Hero TeamTM… yay.
Ladybug, Chat Noir, and Abielle (or like, Wasp/Yellow Jacket idk Chloe changes her name because ~identity stuff~) are the core three team. like, the wonder woman/batman/superman trio of the MTeam.
Nath is called Reynard Ambre b/c I love him
The public knows he exists but he’s never seen in battle and no pictures exist.
but there are plenty of instances where Paris knows he out mucking around because those akuma battles always get really weird.
Marinette be the guardian?
Guardian in training
Along with all the other holders b/c jesus. Give the girl a break.
Yeah. I like that Idea. All current holders are training to be guardians as well, but Mari’s going to step up as Guardian Supreme when Fu steps down.
Hero fashion!!!
The Miraculous Team is all decked out in their own merch like 24/7
Rarely is it thier own hero persona tho
Not because of like,,,, secrecy or anything. Just because they’re all nerds who love each other
Marinette is the lead producer of Miraculous Merchandise. It’s like,,, her BrandTM It was completely unintentional too
(Adrien and Chloe financially support her work tho. She designs, makes a prototype, and has her two blondes get others to replicate it)
Half of Paris is wearing her without knowing it
(Go MDC! get it girl!)
She totally makes Gotham inspired outfits because what else would she do????
Don’t get her wrong, most of Gotham’s fashion sense royally pisses her off but it’s fun and hey, supporting her fellow heroes ya know?
She wears a Robin hoodie after being officially acquainted with both Damian and Robin (separately of course)
Damian chokes on something, probably his own tongue.
It confuses Nettie. But then she thinks maybe he’s a fan too? She offers to make one for him but he steadfastly refuses much to his brothers’ amusement.
Might make a robin themed dress?? If so, she crosses paths with Robin when she does, thoroughly embarrassing her and almost sending poor Dami into a crisis.
Rogues Gallery
She makes a lot of designs off the rouges gallery because like, supporting people trying to get better??? also they’re some of the few who’s aesthetic aint shit?
She can’t make all of them because she ran out of time, so the rest get posited up on her Instagram and MDC blog (that’s run by Tikki mostly. She’s a great secretary and gets bored in Mari’s purse all the time)
Everyone is very flattered
Harley, if she ever finds it, immediately commission all pieces and wears them around Gotham don’t @ me
Daminette obvi
Marinette meets him and is just like ‘wow, you’re horrible. I want five’
Marinette, in the group chat later: so I met Kagami and Felix’s love child today
Kagami and Felix, seconds apart: I would never stoop so low
immediately after: Hey what the fuck? Rude
Nino: Nettie, dearest, sunshine, light of our collective lives and reason I breathe, what the fuck
Adrien: Kagami, my love, how could you? the Betrayal
Chloe: ew
Luka: Send pics or it didn’t happen
Nath: [insert the ‘right in front of my salad?’ meme]
Whenever they cross paths as Robin and Mari, he’ll just like,,, appear from nowhere hanging upside down spiderman style. Mari finds it endearing but she also wants him to stop scaring the shit out of her
Nicknames, because I have an unhealthy obsession with them, alright?
Misc Mari names: Bug, Bugaboo, Buginette, Madame President/Colonel (when the Team’s being cheeky), Princess, Marigold, Nettie (by like, Nino and Alix)
Jason calls her Pixie-pop
The bird boys call her Nightingale/Mockingbird in like, honor of her being a kickass civillian
Mari refers to them as ‘the flock’ (and bird-brains after getting to know them better)
Damian calls her: Starling, Habibti, ya qamar(my moon), malaki (angel), ya wardati(my flower) (b/c like, angel’s cute an all but I just think Damian’s way more dramatic than that tbh. he’d put thought into his nicknames)
Mari calls Damian: mon soleil (my sunshine) (because symmetry and also Mari thinks she’d hilarious), Birdie, petit oiseau/oisillon
I like the idea of Jagged being a native Gothamite tbh
it’s just so fun honestly???
He’s probably the reason the MTeam are in Gotham in the first place? maybe? anyway, the class is there, right? right.
Kagami, Luka and Felix are all holding the fort down in Paris. Ain't no akumas but sometimes they need backup so when certain heroes need to disappear, Nath has Trixx set up an illusion of whichever one so they can slip away with the horse miraculous.
Mari’s the one who has to leave the most because she’s still Paris’ damage control, so like,,,,, ya know.
Mari doesn’t get left behind, at least not on the first day b/c come on people! She has plenty of friends in class watching out for her and a semi-competent teacher who does care even if she’s non-confrontational to a fault.
She does eventually become separated from the group. Half because of Lila and half because she’s always fucking late and got distracted.
She actually runs into one of the civilian batfam in the first place because the class was allowed an hour or so to wander around the shopping district or whatever to explore/buy things/get food. They just needed to return to the meetup spot at a certain time but Mari is like ten minutes away when it’s five minutes to the meetup
So she’s just… fucking booking it and completely takes out this trained vigilante without trying to.
Mari, as she’s groaning on the ground, tangled around a boy: By Kwamii, I thought my luck was supposed to be good Tikki.
That or like, the subway doors close before she can get on them and the rest of the class ends up ahead of her leaving her to get caught up on some bullshit in the next train or smth.
Oh, like. Of course it’s her train that gets held hostage. Wonderful.
(Later, Mari will rant at Tikki about her luck. A common conversation between the two tbh.)
This could be where she officially meets the Batfam as the Batfam. Or, like. A couple of em, at least.
Marinette getting serial adopted by the whole goddamn batfamily because i will die for this trope tbh i dont even care
The Robins nickname her Nightingale before they realize she’s Ladybug
They still call her that after but it’s not with the intention of making it her hero name anymore
Her and Alfred are def bros you don’t understand
Actually, Gina and Alfred are old friends. Mari totally knows Alfie before the bat fam and calls him Poppy/Pépé
which floors the batfam because what? Since when does that happen???
Alfred and Mari never, like, actually met in person before, but video chats exist and Gina def talks about the two to each other so it’s like they may as well know each other.
I also like the idea of Alfred being a former holder, probably the peacock. I would adore that
Just,,,, so many fun hero shenanigans
Yeah sure. The batfam are super detectives and have a history of figuring out people’s identities in no time at all. Whatever. Where’s the drama in that though? The showmanship?
Fuck canon, the Miraculous all have glamours because magic bitch and it plays fucking hell on the Batfam and all their shit
Every single Batfam member is simultaneously pulling their hair out because they don’t know who these heroes are???? Why can they figure them out?? Confusion???????
Miraculous team is just…. Straight up laughing at them. The poor dears.
That one gag where it’s a well-known secret that Mari has connections to every Parisian hero and is basically their own personal catering service/comfort place.
Also, it’s the worst kept secret in Paris that Mari is Multimouse
None of the MTeam have confirmed that rumour but they also don’t deny it.
they actually started the rumour. If all of Paris thinks Mari’s the mouse, a temporary hero, no one’s going to think she’s Ladybug/or that she’s an easy target to go after
chloe actually came up with that one
Mari meeting all of Damian’s associates’ (ie pets)
She adores all of them and they her.
Especially GOLIATH, why isn’t he talked about more honestly???? He’s GREAT
She meets Goliath as Ladybug and Robin is just… so done with him??? You are supposed to be a fearsome beast and a professional why are you rolling over and expoSING YOUR STOMACH??? Meanwhile, Ladybug is just: Awww! Who’s a good boy? Who’s the best boy? You are! Look at how handsome you are! Cute widdle baby-
Miraculous Team hanging on the roof of their hotel kinda chilling
Maybe having a debate about doing some free-running/parkour?
Also maybe about whether or not they should be heroes while in Gotham
MT being like, why can’t we go and stop an armed robbery? we can help!
“Gotham already has very active heroes-”
“Vigilantes!”
“-whatever. I don’t want us stepping on any toes. This isn’t our terf and Batman’s known for being strict about Metas rolling around here.”
“We aren’t Metas though.”
“I don’t think he’ll enjoy splitting that particular hair, Nino. Just- not unless lives are at stake, okay? Emergencies only.”
“Yes, Colonel Ladybug.”
This debate most def gets crashed by batfam and confusion ensues upon both sides
batfam didn’t hear anything, they’re just really confused about these french kids hanging out on a roof in Gotham
Just.... yes. all of that. I have like, more but those are not organized or even remotely coherent. here you go! I might write for this but I already have other fics rn so... it wouldn’t be for a while. and as I said, I have no plot.
take this though, i guess. *throws confetti*

Just Smile (George Weasley x Reader)
Requested by @aboutpotter awhile back.... Im just here doing some serious rewriting
Prompts used:
Dont just stand there looking at me
And
You're probably wondering how I got here
Enjoy!
--------
If George could describe her in one word he would choose sullen. But in truth, it was just one out of many. Intelligent, conscientious, logical, anxious, beautiful, but sullen always came first.
The reason why: he had NEVER seen her smile. He had seen almost everyone at Hogwarts smile at least once. Even Snape. But never her. And he wondered why.
Curious, he went to someone that would know the answer- (S/n). But all she did was sigh and say that things happen.
That was the day he decided to make it his personal mission to make (Y/n) smile. But no matter how many pranks he pulled on her, or jokes, dirty or corny, the corners of their mouth never moved. Not even slightly.
Since (S/n) wouldn’t tell him he decided to ask her directly. But the only response he got was the cold shoulder.
As she walked away he yelled, “I  SWEAR TO YOU, BY TIME I'M OUT OF THIS HELL HOLE YOU WILL SMILE!”
What reason did she have to smile in the first place? She could give you a long list of reasons not to smile. How about being a muggleborn in SLYTHERIN while her sister was chillin with the twins in Gryffindor to start you off? Or maybe the disappointed looks from the teachers? How about the constant looks of pure disgust from her fellow Slytherins? And that was just a few off the top of her head.
George takes his seat at the Gryffindor table across from Fred and (S/n). Groaning, he lays his head down on the table with a ‘thud’.
“What’s wrong with you, George?” (S/n) asked, writing something down with Fred watching her paper intensely.
He sets his chin on the table so he could look at her. “Your sister. How can someone go that long without smiling?”
“She’s had it rough.”
“So you have said. What exactly do you mean by that?”
(S/n) sighs and sets down her quill. Neatly, she folds her hands on the table like she was getting ready to spill some dark shit. “She'll give you a lot of reasons. But I think the main reason is because her so called "friends" stabbed her in the back.”
George was shocked but it was Fred that let it be known. “What! Why?”
“It’s not possible to be friends with a muggleborn and date someone in the same house as you.” The twins looked confused. (S/n) rolled her eyes. “Her friends ditched her so they could get dates.”
The twins nodded their head, understanding.
Fred and (S/n) went back to eating (and in (S/n)s case- eating and writing) but George just stared at the table, thinking.
Swiftly, he stood up and started walking off.
“Where are you going?” (S/n) asked.
“I’ll be right back. I have to go do something.”
Fred and (S/n) were sure he was leaving the Great Hall, but George had other plans.
The hall went silent as he approached the Slytherin table. There wasn’t even any chatter coming from the professors as they watched. George could feel several eyes on him but he could care less.
(Y/n) looked up from her book to see why the hall had gone silent. Alarmed washed over her when she spotted George approaching her.
All attention was on the two of them now.
“What are you doing, Weasley?” she whisper-yelled.
“Weasley? And to think we were friends.”
That was enough to get a few people going. Whispers started to be exchanged throughout the Great Hall.
(Y/n) scoffs, “I don’t need or want friends.” A series of “oooo”s traveled around the hall.
“Fine, but you need your family. Your sister needs you.” He lied.
That caught the Slytherins attention. She loved her sister more than anything and they knew it.
“Did she say why?”
George bit back a smile. He knew he had her now. “She said it was important.”
Sighing, (Y/n) gathered up their stuff and followed George.
The Hall went silent again to the point where you could hear a pen drop.
She sat down next to George and looked (S/n) in her confused eyes. “You have something important to tell me?” (Y/n) asked.
George suddenly grabbed her arm. She looked at him suspiciously but didn’t question it.
“Um,” she set her cup down and folded her hands. That was her thing- folding her hands before she spoke. Gave her time to think about what she was going to say. “No, but I assume that’s what George told you to get you over here.”
(Y/n)’s jaw tightened in anger. She tried not to let it show but (S/n) noticed.
“It is.”
“Oh, come on, (Y/n). Stop being such a grouch,” (S/n) sighed, rolling her eyes.
“Oh, so I’m a grouch now, eh?” (Y/n) retorted, raising her voice slightly.
(S/n)s face softens. “No. It’s just- I haven’t seen a smile since the incident last year so-”
“So what, (S/n)? Maybe I don't have a reason to smile!” She stands up and slings her bag over her shoulder. With steam coming out of her ears, she leaves.
George watches her, praying she'll turn around.
 She doesn't.
A pang of guilt hits George. “Guys, I think I’m going to call it a night.”
“This early?” (S/n) asked. She may have been the most clueless person at this table but Fred knew that face anywhere.
“Yeah, I, uh, actually have a big test tomorrow so I better turn in.”
(S/n)s eyes went wide. “WE HAVE A TEST TOMORROW??!?!?!? BDJIBUDHIHYSFTDRTDFGH-”
Fred motioned to George to leave. He would take care of it.
What a nerd. But they loved her anyway.
George stopped to listen to what he was sure was voices around the corner. When he peeked around he saw what he was looking for. He also saw someone that wasn’t supposed to be there. Graham Montague.
“Get the hell off me, Montague!” (Y/n) shouted, trying to shove him away only for him to pin her roughly against the wall(FREEZE PERVERTS CAUSE THIS AINT WHAT YOU THINK).
“So you think it's okay to just shove us out of the way, mudblood? Show some damn respect to those above you. Now, I think it’s best if you apologize for what you did to my friend.”
Now downright furious the girl makes a split second decision. (Or should I say spit-second decision?) Graham backs off a bit and wipes the spit off his face. Snarling, he backhands her causing her to drop her bag and fall to the ground.
“HEY!” George yelled gaining the attention of Graham and his friends.
 Now what?
“Oh, great, just what we need a Weasle-”
Graham stumbled back as George's fist makes contact with his nose. His eyes water profusely as blood start to run down his face.
“Never touch her again,” George growled, daring one of them to try to make a move.
Graham scoffed and turned his snake like eyes towards (Y/n). His eyes burned into her before he turned on his heel and sauntered off, his friends hot on his heels.
George turned to (Y/n) to ask if she was alright but before he could ask he noticed the tears welling in her eyes. Alarmed, George walks over and starts inspecting her, only for (Y/n) to push him away.
“DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT YOU JUST DID?” she scoffs, “no you don’t. You’ve just made my life hell is what you did. What they did just now was considered nice compared to what they’ve done to other people.”
“(Y/n), I was just trying to-”
“Oh, save it! We can’t all be heros, George. Just… just leave.” She turns her head away waiting for him to leave. But he doesn’t. “Well? What are you waiting for? Don’t just stand there looking at me! Leave!”
 But George doesn’t budge.
“Why are you still here?!”
George doesn’t know. Why is he still here? Instead of leaving he engulfs her in a hug. (Y/n) struggles but George was stronger and not to mention taller.
“Please don’t fight me.” His voice cracks. (Y/n) pauses.
Was he seriously about to cry?
“Then let me go.” she hisses.
George obeys this time with a sigh.
With a sad expression and a broken heart, he watched her walk away.
-------
“I thought you were calling it a night.” (S/n) says with a confused face.
Her face goes to confusion to one of pure spite as George tells them exactly what happened.
“Well, I say we push him back.” Fred spits once George was done with his story.
“I doubt that would make it any better, Freddie.” (S/n) replied.
“Well, obviously, (S/n), that’s why I have a very well thought out plan," Fred announces, an evil grin crawling upon his face.
Well that didn't take very long.
“Plan?”
“Yep! You see, Georgie and I found something last week. We looked at each other and thought ‘this could come in handy’ and it seems it will.”
She looked between the twins confused. "Okay?"
George smiled as he recalled what Fred was talking about. "You in, (S/n)?"
"Me?"
“Yes! You see, we have noticed that Graham Montauge has taken a special liking to you.” Fred states, venomously.
“Huh?”
“He fancies you,” George concluded.
“What? You’re joking right?” She asks, her cheeks heating up.
 The twins grin.
She looks between them again. “Ya know what, I don’t even want to know details, just tell me what I need to do.”
------
Angry tears ran down (Y/n)s face as she stares at the wall, thinking about what happened. She couldn’t help but think that if she wouldn’t have left the table then she wouldn’t have ran into Graham and then none of this would have happened.
She was so caught up in her thought that she didn’t pay much attention when the other side of her bed dipped down. But she could care less. It was actually a bit comforting to know that at least some imaginary person at least cared.
“Why can’t he understand that it would be easier for both of us if he just left me alone?” She asked the person as she stared down at her feet.
“Well it’s probably because you don’t even attempt to help him understand.”
(Y/n) jumps up. She didn’t expect anyone to answer back.
She turned around to find a tall figure with blazing red hair. And… in the girls dormitory?
She couldn’t make out which twin it was through her blurry vision but assumed it was Fred. George wouldn’t even consider sneaking up here after the way she had treated him. Right?
“You’re probably wondering how I got here.”
She let out a shaky laugh. “Um, a little bit, yes.”
He stared at her wordlessly. After no response, (Y/n) became slightly worried.
“Fred? You good there?”
He snaps out of it. “Oh! Yeah!” Wait Fred? Oh! He guessed she can’t see because she was crying. “Uh, George told us about what Graham did so we cracked a plan.”
She froze. "What did you do?"
As far as she knew, she could kiss her sister goodbye and say hello to her new home: her grave.
George laughed a bit at her alarm before recounting the tale. " Last week George and I found a cabinet that makes things disappear, and ya see, Graham has a thing for that sister of yours. So, naturally, we got her involved. She lured Graham into the closet where we were waiting. Then, we forced him to give up the password to the Slytherin common room, which he wouldn’t do unless we put him in the cabinet. Of course, he wasn’t at all intimidated but then we demonstrated what it did which broke him. We originally promised to not throw him in but things happen and people change their minds.”
(Y/n) smiles a bit. “Soooooooooo… where is he now?”
He shrugs. “Who knows. He could be anywhere in the school.”
“That still doesn’t explain how you got up here without anyone seeing or helping you.”
“I guess I have that undeniable Weasley charm.” He winked with a flip of his nonexistant long locks. “Sure, the girls were confused and very angry when I walked in but I buttered them up just enough so they smuggled me up here. So, there you have it.”
It took a moment for everything processed. “But, to be honest, you’re the last person I expected up here. Why didn’t George or (S/n) come instead?”
He just stared at her smiling before changing the subject. Ya know, I don’t think George would be very happy seeing you like this.” Which was true, it broke George’s heart to see her like this but he couldn’t tell why. Deep down he knew he always liked her a bit but he always denied and pushed it away. It was like this time he couldn’t. "And I have a feeling you got over the whole incident pretty quickly. So what's got you so upset?"
“Your brother, actually… Swear to me you won’t tell anyone what you hear.”
George crossed his heart and zipped his lips, throwing away the imaginary key.
“Alright, don’t tell him I said this but he makes my life a living hell… and I can’t help but love him for it.”
She lets out another shaky laugh and shakes her head.
‘There it was again.’ George thought.
“Yeah. I fancy him I suppose and he makes it so damn hard no to.” She pauses. “Why am I telling this to you again?”
He laughs a bit and stands up, towering over her. “I don’t know. However, I do know that you should smile more.”
Her eyebrows knit together. “Why should I-”
“Because it makes it hard not to fancy you too.”
Her vision was totally clear now and only then did she realize who she had just spilled out her deepest darkest secret to.
She stared at him, a lump forming in her throat. What was she even supposed to say?
"George, I-"
Before she could finish, he grabs her arm and pulls her down, pecking her lips. It was short, sweet and just enough to leave her in a state of shock.
He smiled seeing what he had done to her. “I told you I would make you smile, beautiful.”
He winked before calmly standing and leaving a shocked (Y/n) to her whirlwind of thoughts.

This is technically the last chapter, but I will be writing a few drabbles to go along with the series, if anyone has any requests.
Around a week later Peter and her were safely back in New York, laying together on his dorm room bed. Beck had been arrested and Fury and a legal team were working adamantly to form a case against him. They looked into him to find his past at Stark Industries, along with slowly revealing the team he worked with. William and Victoria had been arrested and were cooperating on a plea deal to uncover the full extent of Beck’s plans.
But for now, the pair were cuddling, comfortable in their pyjamas watching Ferris Bueller. The daisy necklace was still sat on her chest, the same place it had been she’d gotten it. Peter stared down at her, relieved she was safe. She looked more relaxed than she had been since London, simply caught up in the enjoyment of the film. Eventually, she felt his gaze, flicking her eyes up to meet his.
“What?” She smiled.
“I’m in love with you.” He confessed without thinking. Her face switched instantly, softening in a confused way.
“What?”
“I’m sorry, I, I shouldn’t have said that.” He backed away from her. He felt absolutely terrible, she was in a vulnerable position and Peter in no way wanted to take advantage of her. “You can tell me to fuck off if you want, or go away or anything. I’m just sorry.” He stood up, stressing over what he’d just done.
“Why would I tell you to go away? This is your dorm?”
“Cause I was one who just fucked everything up.”
“Do you mean it?”
“I-I,” He could make up some lie, some excuses, something to try to get him out of this situation. But he had to own up to his feelings like a man. “Yes.”
“Really?” “I’ve loved you since we were kids. I bought that necklace and I had this whole plan to tell you, but then-”
“Life got in the way.”
“Yeah.” He admitted, running his hands through his hair nervously. “I completely understand if you don’t feel the same way. And if you don’t, I don’t want anything to change. I still want to be your friend, and I-”
“Peter.” She cut him off, pulling his hands out of his hair, holding them in hers. “I love you too.”
“Wait really.” He replied shocked, cupping her face in his hands.
“Yes. I’ve loved you for so fucking long, but I was too scared to say anything. And then I thought you liked MJ.”
“You thought I liked MJ.”
“Yeah, you guys seemed really close and, you know. I got jealous.” She explained bashfully.
“We’re friends, I’ve never liked her like that. And you were jealous of me, seriously. I was always the one who was jealous of all the guys staring at you, not the other way around.”
“Are you really that blind? Do you actually not see how many girls fancy you?” Peter rolled his eyes, blushing slightly, “C’mon, you got that whole hot nerd thing going for you.”
“And you like that?”
“Absolutely, I always go for the annoyingly smart guys.” She joked, “And as much as I want to jump into this, but I can’t right now. I just got so caught up with Beck and that was a fucking mess. And I know if I throw myself into another relationship one of us will end up hurt. I’m sorry.”
“No, no. You gotta do what’s right for you. And I will wait, however long you need, for you to be ready.” She pulled him into a tight embrace, nestling her head in his neck.
“I love you, Peter Parker.”
Six weeks later the two of them sat in the court, waiting to be called to the witness stand. Peter felt ridiculous sitting in his Spiderman suit while everyone else was in formal suits. He held onto her hand to relax the both of them. Each sweating at the thought of seeing Beck for the first time since London. The man was soon dragged out into the room and the hearing began. Beck was being charged for a series of charges, from fraud to the destruction of the cities, right up to the deaths he caused through his malicious plans. She kept her head up, refusing to make eye contact with the older man trying to stare at her. For the most part, she blocked out what was going on during the hearing, not even realising she was being called up to the witness stand until Peter was shoving her up.
“Mr Beck, please describe your relationship with the witness.” The prosecutor asked.
“Well, we know each other very intimately.” He smirked. She clenched her jaw in response, trying to ignore his comment, knowing he was just trying to fuck with her. “We were involved in a romantic and sexual relationship while the two of us were in Europe.”
“And how do you respond?” The lawyer turned to ask her, “Were you complicit within this relationship?”
“Yes, everything was consensual.”
“And considering his character, why would you travel through Europe with him?”
“Because at the time I, like everyone else, believed his story. I got caught up with the idea I had of him.”
“And why did you stay with him after you found out his true character?”
“When I first found out I was alone with him in a foreign country with no way of getting home on my own. I was scared of what he’d do. And later he threatens to kill my friends if I didn’t comply with his plans. Beck was trying to blackmail me into staying with him.”
“And when did you figure out he was lying?”
“I was in a hotel room, unpacking our stuff, and I found illusion technology initially created for Stark Industries within his Mysterio suit. Then I realised the elementals were fake and if that was fake, I thought everything else would be.” A few more questions were asked before she was allowed to sit back down.
“The jury had spoken.” The judge announced a few hours later. “Finding Mr Beck guilty for all accused crimes and will be given three life sentences at a maximum-security prison with no opportunity for parole.” They said before smacking the gabble down. She watched Beck being assorted from the courtroom back to his holding cell. The experience was oddly therapeutic for her. With the truth out there and Beck behind bars, she could truly put this unfortunate chapter behind her. She and Peter made their way back to his dorm. Peter pulled off his mask before turning back to face her.
“We did it,” Peter said, hugging her, “It’s all over now.” She wrapped her arms around her neck, pulling back a few moments later. She traced her fingers over his cheeks, a dumb grin on her face. Within her mouth was on his. It was gentle, but with an underlying passion of years of built-up feelings.
“Wait, wait, wait,” Peter mumbled against her lips, “You sure about this, you’re definitely ready?”
“Yeah, like you said, it’s over.” She kissed him again, walking the two of them over to Peter’s bed, pulling him on top of her. She traced her tongue over his bottom lip. She moved her hand, tracing her nails down his chest and lightly grazing over his groin. Peter let out a gasp.
“So you wanna do it, do it?” He asked nervously.
“Yeah, if you wanna too.”
“Yes, yes. I really want this.” Peter nodded eagerly. He immediately pressed the spider logo on his chest to loosen his suit. She pushed the suit of his shoulders, pushing it off his body. And removing the tight material helped the growing strain in his underwear. Peter slowly unzipped her dress, she raised her hips slightly to help him shimmy the dress off. Peter looked at her body in complete awe. She raised to a sitting position, unclipping her bra and sliding it off before lying back down on the bed. Peter crawled back on top of her, gently kissing his lips, down to her neck and further down to reach her chest. He ghosted his finger over a nipple, flicking his eyes back up to her when he heard a soft moan. “God, I’ve dreamed about this for so long.” Peter whispered.
“I hope I live up to your expectations.”
“This is so much better.” He kissed further down her stomach, loving every inch of her body. He reached her panties, brushing over the lace. “Can I?”
“Please.” She let out breathily. He pulled the thin fabric down her legs, taking her calf in one hand to kiss back up towards her core. Experimentally, he flicked his tongue over her clit. She moaned, grasping at the bedsheets below. Pleased with the reaction, Peter went in again, more confidently. Her back arched as she snapped one hand from the bed to Peter’s curls. A coil built up before Peter finally tipped her over the edge.
“Fuck Peter, feels so good.” She moaned. Peter felt a surge of pride rush through his body. He’d just made the girl of his dreams cum. She pulled him back up, pushing his boxer’s waistband down. Peter helped, shrugging them off, groaning embarrassingly loudly when she wrapped her smaller hand around his cock. “I want you in me.” She whispered in his ear. And that had to be the sexiest thing Peter had ever heard. He pushed into her, bottoming out hastily. They both moaned, gripping onto one another for dear life. He pulled back out more slowly, then thrusting back in. He immediately set the pace, slow, deep and loving. It was the most passionate thing either of them had ever felt. Everything else was completely irrelevant. All that mattered was the two of them in the moment. They were completely immersed with each other. Soon they were both coming down from their highs, wrapping around each other’s bodies.
“I love you so fucking much.” She said.
“I love you too, more than you could possibly know.”
Everything was going perfectly, at least for that night. The next morning she reached over to check her phone, only to see her twitter blowing up.
“Peter, Peter.” She shook him awake.
“What’s going on.” He said, dazed.
“You’re trending on twitter.”
“It’s probably cause of the trial.”
“No, you’re trending, not Spiderman.” Peter shot up at that. They opened the app to see a final interview with Beck. Within it, he revealed Spiderman to be Peter. He dropped his head into his hands.
“I’ve made a huge mistake.” Peter sobbed into his hands.
“Hey, hey, hey.” She said, running her hands through his hair to try relax him, soothe his woes just a bit. “Why would you think this is your fault.”
“Cause I showed him who I was and I should have -” “We’re going to get through this.”
“You promise.” Peter said between panicked breaths.
“I promise. I’m gonna be right by your side and it’s going to be alright. You haven’t made a mistake.” She reassured him.
“Not with you.”

Share a Lair 05 || Share a Party
Charlotte was a little bit uncomfortable and for most of the drive, she was worried about saying too much, saying too little, saying stuff that made her seem like a pretentious egomaniac, saying stuff that made her seem like a dumbed down conformist… and in her thinking so much about what to say and what not to say, she decided at least on one thing, “I’m sorry that Henry and Jasper did this to you.”
He frowned. “Nothing to be sorry about. You don’t want to be stuck with those nerds, anyway.”
“Nerds.” She said it with no context and no tone. He didn’t know if she was making a declaration, questioning his choice of words or what. “I’m one of these nerds that you speak of,” she added after a long pause.
“Hardly. I mean, you totally are, but one of those people went through a bucket phase and the other is Henry, and I feel like I shouldn’t even have to expound on that, because you’re a smart lady.” She laughed.
She was typically very defensive of Henry. She stuck her neck out for him and had his back a lot. Something about him not even just telling her that he didn’t want to hang out with her tonight made laughing at his expense acceptable in the moment.
“Yeah. They’re nerds. But, they’re supposed to be MY nerds. Over the last few years, they just get closer and closer, but damn - I guess I didn’t think that they’d ever just shut me out completely.” She didn’t want to bum him out. He was about to link up with his friends and she probably should have just went back home when she realized that she wasn’t included in plans.
“Don’t think of it as them shutting you out. Think of it as them finally letting you breathe! Maybe you’re so uptight because somebody had to make sure that the two of them didn’t accidentally stupid themselves to death.” She laughed again, a little harder than before, then gasped, suddenly stricken with fear! “They’re NOT gonna stupid themselves to death, Charlotte,” he said. “You deserve a night off. You’re not a single mom and they aren’t children, just idiots, but most people are, especially compared to people like us.”
Sadly, she whimpered, “They’re supposed to be my idiots.”
“I’ll introduce you to new idiots! And my idiots are nice and loyal.” He smiled. She could have Oyster for free… But… He’d likely keep a barrier between her and Gideon. She didn’t deserve that.
He got out of the car and telekinetically opened her door for her as he met her on the other side, then said, “Oh, and that was my last one of the night. They’re not supposed to know about my powers continuing.”
“Continuing?”
“Relax, Char. We haven’t even had our first date yet. You don’t need to know everything about me right now.”
“Our FIRST date? YET?” She repeated, incredulously.
“Oh look, she knows how to mimic.” He smiled, so she’d know he was just giving her a hard time, but then he took her hand and led her to this house that looked very much like a movie scene, with people all over the place, outside and in, but nothing extravagant and unbelievable happened right as they approached or right as they entered, so she knew it was real life. Whenever they got in, an old Asian man handed her a bottle of champagne and she tried to give it back, but he was very excitedly greeting Max and cheering about the party, the New Year and his grandson.  After a while, Max said, “This is Charlotte.”
“Max Thunderman, you always find the prettiest girls!” the old man said.
Max pulled her closer and warned the old man playfully, “Don’t get fresh.” Her face was warm and the heat was flushing through her entire body. They parted ways with the old man, but Max didn’t let go of her. She rationalized, because the room is kinda crowded and we’ve gotta stick together…
He introduced her to people just like, “This is Charlotte,” which her brain began to toss around after the 3rd or 4th time - is he saying it like that to avoid telling anybody anything more about me, or have they already heard my name before? Does he just not have a cover for why we would know each other? Or… has he told his friends that I exist? But, she shook her head, why would he tell his friends you exist, Girl? This man wasn’t thinking about you. He just got swindled into distracting you and the hero in him is trying to do right by that obligation… But, wait… Nobody makes Max do anything that he doesn’t want to… and his hand has pretty much made a little groove in my waist now…
He was right, though. His friends WERE super nice, and… kind of idiots. But, she was relaxing more and more as time went on and eventually, when she seemed comfortable enough, Max let go of her. They were chatting and laughing with his friends and several times the two of them exchanged amused looks, KNOWING that they were the only two people there who noticed something or caught something hilariously ignorant that was said. They weren’t being malicious, just… clearly the smartest people in the bunch. It was kind of like whenever she was with the Man Cave and nobody else caught something but her, but this time, somebody else was there to give a look of acknowledgment.
At some point, Oyster suggested, “Since all of us are here tonight, we should do a one night only band reunion!”
Max laughed and shook his head. Charlotte gasped and said, “That would be SO cool!”
Max stopped laughing and immediately said, “Of course it will! Let’s umm… Let’s do this,” he said to Oyster, who was VERY excited. The boys gathered and started trying to quickly make a plan and Phoebe spotted Charlotte, sitting by herself, not too far away from them.
“Charlotte!” She called and waved. Charlotte smiled and waved back. Phoebe came over and introduced her best friend, Cherry, and wondered, “What are these goobers doing?”
“A one night only band reunion,” Charlotte said, giggling.
“Oyster’s plan?” Phoebe and Cherry both asked. Charlotte nodded. “I’m surprised that he got Max to agree to it,” Phoebe said. “Unlesssss… Charlotte… Did you get Max to agree to this?”
Charlotte shook her head, “All I said is it would be cool…”
“She’s got him,” Cherry and Phoebe said at the same time.
“Please stop doing that,” Charlotte said, laughing a little uncomfortably. “And also, what do you mean by that?”
“Max has the hots for you!” Cherry said, with an expression on her face like it was obvious. But. Charlotte had literally JUST met this woman. Cherry and Phoebe sat on either side of her to ask her questions and gauge to see if she both liked Max back and if she was even right for him…
Max looked over, noticed them hounding her and gasped. He grabbed Charlotte’s hands and asked, “Hey, would you like to play a song with the guys?"
"Not reall-” he gave her a push towards the band and she furrowed her eyebrows.
He turned to Cherry and Phoebe and whispered loudly to them, “Back off! Whatever you’re doing, just back off!”
“We’re helping you!” Cherry loud whispered back.
“No!” He turned and Charlotte had a guitar. “Hi! Okay. Ummm.. I’ll take that."
"Okay?” She said, handing it to him. “Are you okay, Max?"
"Haven’t played in a while and we weren’t great the first time…”
“Yeah, the only good songs were from when he stole Phoebe’s diary and turned her pain into lyrics.” Max’s eyes narrowed at her and Phoebe’s eyes widened.
“That’s horrible!” Charlotte said, looking at Max with disdain. “You really WERE a villain.”
“Right! Past tense! He hasn’t done anything that foul in a long time. Good Guy Max, now,” Phoebe said. Max sighed. They were obviously persistent to make it worse.
“I was a kid, you know? Surely, there have been times when you’ve done something not that great to somebody you cared about when you were younger?”
Charlotte recalled distracting Jasper so that Piper could pore moth pheromones on him, against his will. Terrible thing to do to someone… So, she nodded and let it go. Max said to Phoebe, “By the way, we only had one hit and that was about Link’s toe, so that’s what we’re going with.”
“Wait…” She said, but the band was taking it to the makeshift stage. Charlotte didn’t know if she was simply the only person not drunk or if this was a Hiddenville staple or something, but this song was downright terrible. She laughed about it and hoped it came across as a laugh of support. But, the guys were good at instruments and Max’s singing voice did things to her. Whenever they were done, he rushed off and she was confused.
Where the heck did he go? “Max’s Girlfriend! Max’s Girlfriend!” She heard somebody calling and looked around to see who this person who was supposed to be his girlfriend, or if maybe there was a different Max or something. But, when she turned around, Oyster handed her the guitar and wondered, “What songs do you know?”
She accepted the instrument and said, “I’m not Max’s girlfriend. We’re just…” She couldn’t realistically say friends, because she had only known him for a few months and it didn’t even seem that long, to be honest, as they didn’t spend much time around each other. She couldn’t say that they were on a date, because they technically weren’t. But, to say that she drove with a stranger to another town to party on one of the hottest party nights sounded off too, because that didn’t seem like her and she wondered how she had come to make such a decision. “We’re just hanging out tonight,” she said.
“So… You’re available?” Gideon asked, excitedly.
“No,” she said. Technically, she wasn’t. She had school, work, and Henry to take care of. She wasn’t as upset as earlier and knew that she wasn’t fed up enough not to.
“That’s gonna make Max sad,” Gideon said, with a frown on his face. She was going to ask more, but Max showed back up, looking refreshed and just… delightfully handsome. He smelled really good too. She figured he must’ve went for a touch up and she appreciated that.
“So, what songs do you know?” Oyster asked Charlotte again.
She knew a ton of them, but wasn’t exactly in the mood to play, because now she was all confused. Did… Max like her? Like, like her like her? Max noticed her discomfort and told everyone that she wasn’t here to serve as a musician, but to have a good time. That settled it.
“So, Charlotte - how did you and Max meet?” Oyster asked. Even though she said she wasn’t his girlfriend and Oyster hadn’t spent a lot of time around Max lately, he knew that look when he saw it. He and Max used to double date all the time.
“Well, I work with his roommate,” she said. And that settled whether or not he’d mentioned her before.
“Sorry to hear that. That guy sounds like a tool,” Oyster commented. Max snickered. But, he’d obviously had the time to mention HENRY.
“He’s my best friend, so, I don’t think so,” she said, shrugging her shoulders. Max remained quiet and the German guy, Wolfgang, was talking. He didn’t seem like he knew English very well, but they could at least understand him. She was having a bit of trouble, but used context clues. Basically, something about how they should all hang out after the party. Max looked at her for an answer. Of course, he wanted to spend more time with his friends. She knew his schedule, sort of. He was always on a mission somewhere. “Um, sure. I can always get a car service if it gets too late.”
“And have them take you all the way to Swellview?” He wondered. “That’d be crazy expensive.”
“Well, my car is actually at your place.”
“Still too much to pay for a car. We don’t have to go,” he said.
“No, no. Of course we will. It’s fine. Henry won’t be working tomorrow. I don’t have to get to bed at any certain time.” She said it, but it was the complete opposite. More than likely, with Henry partying tonight, she would be his backup for everything tomorrow. And she wasn’t much of a partier anyways. But, it was extremely nice of Max to take her out tonight and she didn’t want to ruin his time or be the reason that he had to cut it short from hanging out with his nice friends (probably for the first time in a while).
“Hey! It’s almost countdown!” Cherry rushed over, cheering. “Grab your dates!” She and Oyster took each other’s hands lovingly and Charlotte had just realized that she and Max were the only people who weren’t paired up! Well, in this group at least.
He called, “We gotta go outside for my fireworks presentation!” And grabbed Charlotte by the hand, waving his friends out with the other. She furrowed her eyebrows, but moved quickly so they wouldn’t run her down. He moved them aside, let the others out, then pointed two fingers to start the presentation. “Okay, THAT was the last time,” he said. He wrapped an arm around her waist and directed her to the terrace that his friends were all on.
The fireworks began, glowing up number designs among them as everyone counted, “10! 9! 8! 7!…” Charlotte was excited. She’d seen fireworks before and she had rang in the New Year before, but never with a group of people that seemed to genuinely like her, or at least be nice to her all night, and never with a hot guy… Who… well, she wasn’t WITH him, but.. She glanced at him as the other’s around them reached one, screamed Happy New Year! And began their first kisses of the year. Max looked bashfully at the ground and said, “You should look at the fireworks. Worked hard on them.”
She turned back to the exhibit, which had his friends’ names and a little character or icon to represent them, and then, “And Charlotte!” She gasped and looked at him.
“Had to work quickly once I realized you’d be coming out tonight…” He smiled and she knew that she still had time. She leaned up as far as she could, but he was about a foot taller than her, only slightly less with her boots on, so he leaned down to meet her. He thought that was going to land on his cheek, but it didn’t. She kissed him. On the lips!
It took him but a brief moment to realize that she had, and once he did, he pulled her closer and kissed her a little harder. Not for long, because the moment that he nibbled on her lip, she seemingly came to her senses and pulled back, with a bashful laugh. “Sor- sorry!” She said, warm in the face. “Guess the spirit of the night jumped into me.”
“I like that. I was hoping that you’d loosen up before the night was over and what’s this? *Gasps!* Casual kisses???” He teased, a glint of joy in his eyes.
She covered her face with both hands and said, “I don’t normally do stuff like that!”
“Hey.” He pulled her hands away gently and held them, “You don’t have to feel like you’ve gotta explain yourself to me, Charlotte. I’m a great guesser, and I’ve got a feeling that I pretty much know what kind of a person that you are.”
“What kind of person is that?” She asked, with a twist of attitude in her voice.
He just laughed lightly, “The kind that just needs to give herself a break and not have to worry about things so much. Just a few hours and you’ve managed to start your year out carefree.”
She actually had SEVERAL cares right now!
…But, looking at Max, she couldn’t remember what any of them were. She shivered. Jeesh! Why hadn’t she programmed a jacket into this dang outfit? Max noticed and asked, “Can I try something?”
“Ummm…?”
“It won’t hurt,” he said, with a smile. She nodded slowly. Max wrapped himself around her from behind and breathed warmth onto the back of her neck. She shivered again, but in a different way and then, she was warm. She leaned back against him and stayed there for a moment. “Okay, I should just stop saying that it’s my last time using my powers, at this point.”
“You really should!” She laughed.
“Max! We’re heading to Maddie’s!” Someone called.
“Right behind you!” He said and let go of Charlotte. “It doesn’t have to be weird, you know? I’d prefer if it isn’t.”
“It isn’t. It wasn’t. It was nice.”
“Good. Still wanna hang out some more?”
“Yeah.”
“Cool.” He took her hand and they went to meet up with his friends at another party.
.
High Energy! That was what she felt, on only a few hours of sleep. This new year was already great and she was glad to have let it all out last night and just be for a moment. Whenever she got to the lair, she came in through the tower entrance, but couldn’t find Henry or Jasper. Then again, it was pretty early, so they were probably asleep. She began to make everyone green matcha tea smoothies, get the control panel up and running and get started on some assignments in the lab, for the new year. She peeked into Henry’s bedroom. He wasn’t there. She called his phone. No answer. No worries. He probably just spent the night at Jasper’s and they’re asleep… But… Why spend the night at Jasper’s? This place was MUCH better and closer to their party last night.
Not that she was worried, but she figured that she might just go check out the party site. Hopefully, nobody got arrested… or worse. She drove out there and saw the party boat out in the middle of the water. What was it still doing there?  She looked at the lake, And when did it get cold enough for the lake to freeze? She wondered. She tried to call Jasper and some girl answered his phone, “Hello?”
“Hi! This is Jasper’s friend. The person who this phone is for. Is he around?”
“Oh… No. He’s probably either still on the boat or they had to send out for help.”
“What.”
“Party boat got hit with a HUGE prank. I took the phone and after telling somebody where the dude is, I drop it off at the Pear store.”
“A prank?” Charlotte repeated, recalling Max’s friends talking about the elaborate pranks he pulled in school.
“Hilarious. These two dudes got left behind and somebody froze the water.” She laughed. “Well, Happy New Year. I’m going to the Pear store, Bye!”
Charlotte couldn’t help but to laugh too. But, the water was still frozen. They couldn’t move the boat. She called Max.
“It is before 9,” was how he answered the phone.
“It is. But, I’m looking at this abandoned boat on a frozen lake and have the sneaky suspicion that my friends are trapped on it and also that you can un-trap them.”
“Ugh. Call Phoebe. I’m off today and she cares about rescuing idiots,” he grunted.
“Max…”
“Char…” He mocked. “Seriously. I’m not getting out of bed. They aren’t gonna die.”
She sighed, “This is very, very unprofessional and not heroic.”
“Maybe. But, don’t lie and say that you didn’t find it funny.”
“When did you even find the time to do this???” She wondered.
“Who says I did this?” She could hear a sly smile in his voice. He wasn’t going to reveal his secrets. “Hope it works out for them.”
“You don’t care, do you?”
“No, not really.” He laughed and hung up. She laughed too. Might as well call Ray and Schwoz to get these dudes off the boat with the Man Copter.

William and the demon Ch. 1 - The day I met him
Before I start with this, I should introduce myself. My name is William Cooper. I’m a student at OceanVille High School. I’m not really an important person, nor I have any special power that would turn me into this story’s hero. Just what seemed to be an error, in the universe’s big scale. I’ll start with the day I met him, when everything started to go downhill.
It was an autumn morning, two months after classes began. Everything was normal at school, everyone was chatting around, making the most of their time before the first class, and etc. I don’t intend to bore you with details, but my school never stood out, nothing interesting happened.
I entered with the rest of my classmates, we knew each other from years ago. They could be dicks from time to time, but never with bad intentions. You could say we were all friends, yeah. Specially me, I liked the idea of being friends with a lot of my schoolmates just because I was nice. I believe there’s good in everyone, so I would never turn my back on a possible friend.
I went directly to my locker to grab my stuff, as I talked to my best friend, Harry. Just like me, he was an average guy. His hair was a bit longer than mine, and darker, dark blond to be precise. And his face was a bit rounder, but still good looking.
It was a normal day, we had science class, but before we met up with the rest of my friends on the hallway, we had a few minutes after. We actually were a group of 4 guys (Harry, Derek, Tony and me). We discussed normal stuff, videogames and TV shows. Some of them heard some rumors from our schoolmates, and while I found them interesting, it was nothing from another world.
My group was the best. Not socially, since we didn’t fit in any of the school stereotypes (unless you count us as videogame-loving nerds, of course). But my favorite part was that nobody bothered us. The jocks didn’t care about us enough to bother with their stupid pranks. The cheerleaders acted like we didn’t exist at all. The others were mostly friendly with us. It was perfect!
Harry patted my back and tried to get me to turn around. One second later, I discovered why. Lily passed by, she was my crush and also one of my friends (but that wasn’t important since I was friends with almost everyone). She gave me a little smile as she walked with her friends too. Man, life was perfect.
Don’t worry, I’m getting to the point. We went to science class. It was senior year and some of my classmates didn’t really give a fuck about some classes. But not science class, this one was one of the hardest ones at the school, and it was because of the professor, Mr. Sawyer. That man was really demanding when it came to schoolwork, but I actually enjoyed his class.
When I went to my place, there was already another guy sitting on the other half of the table. Harry seemed annoyed by this, we always sat together. Even when we were mad at each other. He seemed like a new guy though.
“Uh… Hey, that’s my place” Said Harry. The guy didn’t care; he was too focused on his phone to care, I guess.
Harry frowned, he touched the guy’s shoulder to get his attention, to no avail. “Man, mind if you sit, I dunno, somewhere else?”
“Dude, just go over there and stop bothering me” That sounded more like a command than a request, and I knew Harry enough to think he wouldn’t be so kind at the next time.
However, nothing happened. Harry just nodded and went away to another table. That should have been the first sign to move away from the table too, but I was too dumb to care.
Maybe I should give him the welcome? He obviously started with the wrong foot, maybe he was a good guy! I thought. Poor silly me.
I started thinking about how should I introduce myself as I sat back on the chair. Meeting new people always made me nervous. “Hi! My name is William!” No, too much energy.
“’Sup, name’s William” No, sounds weird.
Funny thing, Mr. Sawyer doesn’t let you change your science partner unless he states otherwise. You’re stuck with whoever you sit with in the first class. But he entered after a bit, stared at my new classmate, and just shrugged it off.
Finally, the guy left his phone on the table and looked over at me. “Kevin, nice to meet ya” said him, extending his hand. I had a look at him before shaking hands. He was good-looking, despite having a childish face with a mischievous smile, but for some reason that made me feel comfortable with him? He also had his black hair neatly combed. He wore a leather jacket with a white shirt, and blue jeans.
“Hi, I’m William” I finally said. We shook hands, then he remained silent once again.
He kept staring at me, like there was something on my face, but suddenly he sighed and looked away.
A bit later, as Mr. Sawyer was explaining today’s lesson, I noticed Kevin was looking at the rest of my classmates, then he stopped at one of the big jocks. Coincidentally, the guy got up and ran to the door, probably to the bathroom. The professor sighed “Damn millennial kids, thinking they can do whatever they want” Kevin smiled. I shrugged it off and went back to paying attention to the professor. The rest of the class was mostly normal, besides the fact that my classmate started typing on his phone, while Mr. Sawyer saw using phones in his class like disrespecting him and would normally send you to the principal.
Class was over, but Kevin asked me if he could stick around for today. “I’m new here and would appreciate having a bit of company”
“Sure, I guess” I grabbed my stuff and walked out of the room. I gave him a quick tour of the school before heading back with my friends. He didn’t seem interested at all on what I had to say, but still followed me around.
We passed by the now broken trophy display. The principal was yelling at someone besides it, and I noticed it was the jock that left the classroom before. From what I’ve heard, he threw a rock to it, ‘accidentally’. And of course, the principal wasn’t buying it.
It wasn’t my problem so I walked past them, heading to my locker, but Kevin was a bit interested on it. He started asking if I found that funny, but I didn’t. “That seemed so… random. I’m curious about why but I wouldn’t get myself involved on it”
We finally arrived with my friends, and Harry wasn’t happy to see Kevin with me.
“Hey guys, this is the new guy” I said, pointing to Kevin.
“Name’s Kevin, nice to meet ya” They were mostly silent, so I assumed Harry told them about what happened with the seats. However, if he did, they didn’t care at all, because a minute later they started talking with him like he was another guy at the group.
The rest of the day was as normal as it could be, luckily.
Kevin got really friendly with the rest of the guys pretty quickly, like it was natural for him. And the others (except for Harry, who was still bitter) seemed to like him a lot. Derek asked him if he wanted to come around his house to play some games. I found that weird because he wasn’t that social normally, and would not ask a stranger to come over his place.
I shrugged it off and went on with my day.
Derek’s POV
After school, I went home with Kevin. He gave me a ride on his bike, and it was fantastic. I’ve never been on a bike before, and now I’m glad I did. I knew he was new around the school and I shouldn’t take strangers to my house, but something about him felt… right, I guess? I couldn’t really tell, but I felt compelled to invite him over today.
We entered the house after parking his bike on the garage and greeted my mom. She was a bit surprised to see Kevin, but I made up that we were friends since the classes started. Again, I felt compelled to, because I never lied about anything before. Never
But it wasn’t weird at all! Just something normal anyone does at some point in time, I assumed.
“A pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Michaels” Said my new pal. Mom seemed to like him already, which was a bit surprising, too! After a bit of chit chat with her, we went directly to my room.
“Nice place you’ve got here, man” Said Kevin. It was a normal bedroom; I’ve had a few posters around from movies I liked. Everything was neat and organized, luckily. My room was like my sanctuary or something, so I tried to leave it as nice as possible.
“Thanks! So, wanna play something?” I said, I didn’t actually know if Kevin liked videogames, we actually haven’t spoken that much. Now that I think of it, we barely spoke at all, why did I invite him over?
Kevin stared at me, and those thoughts vanished as soon as they appeared. He was a good friend, a really good one.
“Nah, not now. Let’s have a chat, alright? Just two good friends speaking”
“Sure, a chat sounds neat” I said, sitting on a nearby chair.
“Good. Good.” Said the new guy, I was curious. What would he want to talk about? “I’ve heard you’re a goody two shoes around school, is that true?”
“Well, I wouldn’t call it like that, but I do really enjoy sticking to the rules…” Who told him that about me? And geez, that was fast! Didn’t he arrive just today?
“So, you don’t like breaking the rules, do you?” What’s with all these questions? He kept staring at me, expecting an answer I supposed. My worries vanished and a calm washed over me. I felt ready to answer anything. It was the right thing to do.
“No, I don’t like breaking the rules” I said, dreamily. I felt amazing for answering that!
“Wrong answer, you do like breaking the rules” I nodded, he was actually right. I liked breaking the rules. Wait, what? “In fact” He continued “You’re not a goody two shoes, you’re more like a rebel, you love breaking the rules.”
I stopped worrying, he was right. I wasn’t a goody two shoes like everyone said, I actually loved breaking the rules. A little smile formed on my face, I felt like on a cloud. “Pfft. This is way too easy.” I could hear the new guy say “C’mon, get up, we’ll have a chat about your dressing choices now.”
I did as told, we had to talk about my dressing choices, Kevin was right! I saw him snapping his fingers and a leather jacket, similar to his one, appeared on my bed. Along with a white shirt and worn out jeans. It all seemed my size, amazing! I didn’t ask him how he did that with his fingers, I didn’t need to ask any questions!
William’s POV
Next day at school, Derek was nowhere to be found. We waited for him on the hallway, which was already weird since he was always the first one to arrive. He HATED being late to class.
Some time passed and it was time to enter the first class. And that’s when he came in. Kevin appeared wearing a tank top with jeans, but that wasn’t important. Derek was walking alongside him, wearing a similar leather jacket and white shirt. And sunglasses. His hair was a bit darker and longer than yesterday, too.
We stared amazed, as the guys walked towards us.
“How’s it going?” asked the new Derek. Kevin was smiling a lot, and I could swear he winked at me.
“Dude, what the hell?! You look awesome! And did you dye your hair?” said Tony. Harry was amazed by it as well, but refused to go near Kevin.
“Thanks man! Yeah, Kev here helped a lot, he told me he would help me be as cool as himself!”
“Neat! Can you help me too?” asked Tony, he seemed excited by Derek’s makeover. But something was weird, he seemed… off. It wasn’t a normal change, something was up. I tried to shrug that weird feeling away, but it seemed impossible.
Derek still made me a bit nervous, and he got a bike. ‘HOW DO YOU GET A BIKE THAT FITS YOUR NEW STYLE IN LESS THAN A DAY?’ I thought, but again just shrugged it off. It wasn’t my problem.
I went on with my day, trying to ignore his new ‘style’ as he liked to call it. He refused to enter the first class, but entered 15 minutes later after the hall monitor threatened him with detention.
And Kevin was also awfully close to me now, like I was his favorite friend from the group. I tried to ignore that too, excusing his behavior thinking it was because I was nice with him on his first day.
Yeah, that should be it. Nothing could possibly go wrong, right? We’re just high school seniors!
Boy, was I wrong.

Share a Party

So, okay. I’m sick right now. Starting the year out great! With illness and war, apparently. Ugh. Gross. Anyways, I had a couple of options for where I was gonna go and one option was angst and we all know that I can play that really well, and the other option was this. Hopefully, I didn’t make a mistake by not goin’ full angst. That’s the rivers and the lakes that I’m used to.

Share a Party
She rationalized, because the room is kinda crowded and we’ve gotta stick together… He introduced her to people just like, “This is Charlotte,” which her brain began to toss around after the 3rd or 4th time - is he saying it like that to avoid telling anybody anything more about me, or have they already heard my name before? Does he just not have a cover for why we would know each other? Or… has he told his friends that I exist? But, she shook her head, why would he tell his friends you exist, Girl? This man wasn’t thinking about you. He just got swindled into distracting you and the hero in him ids trying to do right by that obligation… But, wait… Nobody makes Max do anything that he doesn’t want to… and his hand has pretty much made a little groove in my waist now…
He was right, though.
He grabbed Charlotte's hands and asked, "Hey, would you like to play a song with the guys?"
"Not reall-" he gave her a push towards the band and she furrowed her eyebrows.
He turned to Cherry and Phoebe and whispered loudly to them, "Back off! Whatever you're doing, just back off!"
"We're helping you!" Cherry loud whispered back.
"No!" He turned and Charlotte had a guitar. "Hi! Okay. Ummm.. I'll take that."
"Okay?" She said, handing it to him. "Are you okay, Max?"
"Haven't played in a while and we weren't great the first time…"
"Yeah, the only good songs were from when he stole Phoebe's diary and turned her pain into lyrics." Max's eyes narrowed at her and Phoebe's eyes widened.
"That's horrible!" Charlotte said, looking at Max with disdain. "You really WERE a villain."
"Right! He hasn't done anything that foul in a long time. Good Guy Max, now," Phoebe said.
She had school, work, Henry to take care of.
9! 8! 7!...” Charlotte was excited.
“It is. But, I’m looking at this abandoned boat on a frozen lake and have the sneaky suspicion that my friends are trapped on it and also that you can untrap them.”
“Maybe. But, don’t lie and say you didn’t find it funny.”
Might as well call Ray and Schwoz to get these dudes off the boat with the Man Copter.

peter figured most of this was his fault, not having enough time for each other. he was the one who had the entire world on his shoulders, being a super-hero part time, there’s no excuse for him not to be there for his best friend. absolutely no excuse. still, you were there - you always there. you were the first person he’d come to for anything.
every single night after patrol, you’d keep your window open, awaiting your best friends arrival in his red spidey suit, here to pick up any broken pieces. because you know it was a lot. peter was just a seventeen year old kid; this was a lot to handle and the best thing you could do was be there for him.
he was there for you, too. you were one of the most hard working, kind, yet very broken souls he’d ever known. tough, definitely a tough one, but all because you were broken inside, and he tried so desperately to get that side out of you so you could feel better and more at peace, but it wasn’t always the easiest.
thankfully, peter was patient. he was always patient with you.
the next twenty-four hours for Peter were nothing short of pure anxiety and fear; how could he of all people think that he could sing, let alone dance and act - at the same time. he spent the next day only with you, singing almost non stop and having to be calmed down by you many times. peter assured you that he wanted to do this; he wanted to spend more time with you, he just wasn’t so sure this plan was quite sufficient.
but, he requested you more than anybody. and he’d do anything for you, his best friend. that sometimes gave him a pretty gross taste in his mouth, not because of you; you were perfect. but, that was the problem, you were only his best friend. not his girlfriend, not someone he could kiss and live a real-life romance novel with. maybe he was a fool for believing in love, but that wasn’t something he thought was necessarily a problem, persay.
you had been best friends him ever since he shared his pizza lunchable with you in the second grade, and when you defended him at recess when flash and a few other kids were picking on him — you threw sand at them. and you definitely got in trouble, but peter liked you. he definitely liked you.
after that, you shared everything together. laughs, hugs, pizza at two am on the roof of his apartment building, and nothing but loyalty.
you were his person, and he was yours.
~
“just like that, lift your body up as you try and hit that high c.” your hands graze onto the piano keys, awaiting peter to do what you asked, some vocal exercise that he was definitely having a difficulty with.
“is there a way i can just....not suck? like, skip all of this weird vocal technique thingies and just become, like, beyoncé or something?” peter frowns, rubbing his stomach as he was desperate to figure out whatever it was you were talking about. all this geeky stuff about singing and music was cute and all, but he didn’t get it. there was so much more to singing than just sounding like a goddess, and peter did not sound like one.
“no, silly. it takes time. now, breathe in and out slowly through your diaphragm. come on, just like we practiced.” you motion your hands towards him and turn back to the piano that was sat in the middle of your living room, the sunlight shining on the sheet music making it just a little difficult to see the notes.
peter was a little distracted, for the sun was also framing your body perfectly. it was..pretty, ethereal. but he needed to focus, auditions were in less than 24 hours and he felt like he was getting nowhere.
“ready?” you ask sweetly.
“mhmm.” he responds, remembering everything you taught him within the past hour and a half of singing and breathes through his diaphragm, just like you taught him to.
surprisingly, he slides through the little exercise perfectly, and can’t help but smile at his progress.
“there you go! see, you’re getting the hang of it.” you cheered, turning around so you were fully facing your best friend. “that sounded so nice!”
peter giggles and bows his head, trying his best not to blush, but to no prevail.
“i’m a work in progress,” he says.
“aren’t we all?” you teased.
you glance over at your phone, eyes slightly widening at the time. you were really nervous that you were pushing peter too hard, but he assured you many times that he wanted to do this with you and that he would tell you if you were. so far, nothing but peter being absolutely sweet and patient with your teaching and rehearsal methods. sweet and patient as always, that’s who peter parker was — your peter.
“we should stop for a while, i don’t want you to strain your vocal chords.” you get up from the piano bench, shutting it slightly as you cross over to the couch, plopping down and patting a seat for peter to sit down.
“man, is this what it’s like to be on broadway?” peter asks, letting out a loud, tired sigh as he sits down next to you, his head resting on your shoulder.
“slow down, weirdo, we’re not broadway bound yet,” you laughed, nudging his side.
peters eyes grew soft as he looked up at you, his chin still resting on your shoulder. “but you will be someday.” he spoke with sweetness and reasurment.
your heart fluttered, “you really think i could make it to broadway, peter?”
“i know you will, you’re so talented. it’s insane how talented and driven you are, y/n/n.”
peter has never met anyone as hard working and determined as you. there wasn’t a time he knew you were you weren’t constantly on your feet, doing something that made you happy or something that you strongly felt for. you were hardly ever resting, which also worried him. you could never catch a break. nonetheless, he wanted to be there for you through it all.
and he would be, he promised not only you but himself that he would be there with you forever — and peter parker never breaks a promise.
you smile sweetly at your best friend, words fail to come out.
“say something, dork.” he teased.
you both laugh heartily, something you did quite often together.
“thanks peter. i really don’t know what i’d do without you.” you respond after a tiny fit of giggles filled the air.
“probably suck at life, i dunno.” peter jokes, giving an attempt to wink.
“shut up, nerd,” you scoff, laying your head on his lap, peters hands automatically going to your hair as he begins to massage your head gently.
a moment of comfortable silence filled the air, only hearing the metronome on the piano and peters steady breathing. worry started to fill his chest as he began to think about tomorrow; what if he messed up at the audition?
what if all this time and effort spent on you coaching him was an absolute waste. peter was not a performer - that was more your element, he was a nerd who loved the stars and comic books - that was his.
“something wrong?” you quipped, knowing that the sight of his eyes growing more ire wasn’t avoidable.
“what if i don’t make the show? i-i mean, you spent all this time and effort on helping me prepare, what if it’s not worth it? what if i can’t do it?”
“the last thing i wanna do is be the boy who disappoints his best friend.”
you sit up from peters lap, positioning yourself to where you were fully facing him, assuring him that you were listening and that you were there.
“look at me, pete, yeah?” peter does as you say, his puppy-like eyes dazzle over your skin.
“you do know i would never ask you to do something for me if i didn’t think you could do it, right?”
he nods and you continue to speak, “so i know you can do this, pete. i know you better than anyone, i know your heart and it’s full.”
“i know yours too. and it’s much fuller than mine, like hella full.”
“you’re being dorky now, stop it.” you nudge him.
“hey, but i’m your dork, remember?” peter playfully winks.
you tilt your head slightly, fully aware that peter parker was your best friend and always will be.
“no, you’re also my best friend.”
a hard, cold, pain hit peters chest - something that’s never occurred before. it was weird, it hurt: he didn’t like it at all. somehow, it only happened when you said the words ‘best friend’. you were his best friend, he couldn’t ask for a better one, but what if he wanted something more?
don’t be an idiot, parker. he shook off.
“best friends forever.” peter smiles through the broken heart, but held your hand anyway against his heart, that you somehow healed each time it was broken with that graceful smile of yours.

A HTTYD 3 AU
@hiccup-is-left-handed did a thing (which I cannot link because mobile) and I really don’t wanna hijack their post but credit where credit is due ok? Ok.
This got way out of hand, I apologize for the long post… Idk how to put it under a read more on mobile, heh <3
So. The Hidden World AU where Toothless and the Light Fury are friends/“just like me” sort of situation + Hiccup is the one captured:
• That add on where the beginning was dark and grimy, yes. • The Grimmel scene happens between him and a fallen drago. Drago desperately needs a new Alpha to control his dragon army, so he enlists Grimmel. • The Light Fury in the cage is not in fact our LF girl, but a young male, about Toothless’ age in HTTYD 1 • Grimmel’s comment about him is around the line of “Furies are social creatures”, so through that line we learn that Toothless would in fact crave a “pack” (I keep calling a group of furies a pack bear with me), except he doesn’t really know that yet.
• Toothless meeting this equivalent of yearling male would go the same way except the dynamic would be (as hiccup-is-left-handed mentioned) similar to spiderverse’s “you’re like me”– a connection but not a romantic one
• Grimmel would still attack Hiccup’s home, but his deathgrippers actually torch down a good deal of the village • Because of the grimy beginning we see this is just another attack and Berk’s people have been suffering (injuries, slings and stuff in the great hall scene) • a bigger deal is made out of them leaving, there’s probably a scene where Hiccup is sitting next to his father’s statue after the meeting and talking to it, asking for advice • Astrid comforts Hiccup there– you’d have time for this since we’d cut most of the Hesitant To Get Married subplot, it’s in fact treated as something to happen someday in the future but both agree with the current situation it’s best to postpone it • or maybe Valka, since because we’re removing the marriage subplot, she could still get One Good Scene with Hiccup. It would still be a little stiff between them, since she’s still relatively new at this mom thing, but they both try. It’s up to you. Either way, Hiccup is convinced they must leave now. • Personally, because I’m a nerd, I’d make the beginning of the scene about Hiccup telling one of them (Valka or Astrid, your call), about how when he were little he always wanted the glory, and to be a Hero to his tribe… But he has so many difficult choices to make and it’s hard. And Valka/Astrid comments that yes, indeed, some people win glory “easily”, how Hiccup would have gotten had he killed that Night Fury, others… Well, others like him need to become Heroes the Hard Way <3 • Probably a scene of the Berkians sadly looking back to their old island and and then forward to their new future
• The yearling doesn’t go back for Toothless, but (in Nova Berk) Toothless does pick up his scent and follows him to that beachy area Toothless tries to woo the LF in the actual movie • There we find out the yearling male has a sibling, a sister, and THAT would be our girl. He calls out to the mountains and she appears and makes a huge fuss about him being back (which gives them both some nice personalities as well as showing their devotion to each other)
• Toothless is in fact attracted to her, but it’s a very minor thing in the grand scheme of him meeting others like him • Toothless tries to join them, and like in the movie Hiccup tries to coach him through befriending these dragons which are so like him • LF girl still gets offended, Toothless still falls down from the tree. yearling LF is very amused at this but also very curious about the branch, so he picks it up and starts playing with it in a rather catlike fashion • Toothless decides to show them how HE plays with the branch, so he picks it up and starts drawing • It’s no big fancy drawing, just his usual scribbles, but both siblings are very intrigued and impressed by it • Toothless still growls at the LF when she tries to step on it, and she growls back (they do NOT get started on the best terms despite Toothless’ original attraction– it could even be read as him just being curious about the fact that she’s a female), but the young male does get it, so he hops around the lines like Hiccup did, grabs the stick and flies away • Following her brother’s example, the LF tries to get to Toothless by hopping around the scribbly lines • We’d get a similar scene to Hiccup hitting his back on toothless and looking up at him, except the LF just gazes at him and Toothless smiles a little at her • She in turn tried to copy his facial expression and smiles as well, and it’s -then- that they click • The siblings still find Hiccup, but Toothless stands between them and his friend so they just choose to leave instead • Toothless still falls on the water trying to follow them but he doesn’t glare at his lack of tail, just looks longingly up at them
• Hiccup does NOT make a new tailfin right away for Toothless. Instead, we get a very “See You Tomorrow” montage, except it’s with Toothless going between the dragons and Hiccup, and each time he learns something new about himself • You could also show Hiccup looking a bit down/feeling left off during this montage, but trying to be happy for Toothless • Eventually, Hiccup decides to make the new tailfin. The scene would go basically the same way except there’s a bigger moment for Toothless not wanting to leave Hiccup, he smells the old saddle and Hiccup comforts him, saying it’s okay. He would have explained to astrid the reason why he made the new tail is not cause Toothless “never had a reason to leave”, it’s just cause Toothless is discovering a new side of him and Hiccup wants him to be happy
• the “third date” scene would be mostly be a platonic scene between the three furies, where Toothless learns to harness lightning • The difference would be the young male gets separated from them for a bit, chasing after some bird or something (he’s young and excitable, also a personality point for him) • You’d then get a smaller version of a romantic scene, but you can clearly see that after that wrong first impression the LF and Toothless do seem to like each other. Still would get the scene of them flying up into the moon and Toothless kissing her, and the “wing holding”. That was cute, and I like that scene, but the romance would still be comparatively secondary • The young male would interrupt the “hand holding”, and that’s where they’d find the hidden world. Male goes in excitedly and toothless hesitates but LF cheerfully drags him down after her brother
• The Hiccup side of it remains the same. They go after Grimmel, there’s an emphasis on all the anti-dragon humans banding together to take down berk. • Grimmel’s villain speech gets a flashback in which we get a scene more akin to the one of the first Dragons movie, there’s a slight discrepancy compared to Grimmel’s words. In the flashback, Grimmel -hesitates- before killing a wounded, sleeping night fury (it could even be faking its sleep, kinda like how Toothless just closed his eyes and waited for death, but that might be too much for a kid’s movie), but eventually does kill it • All the riders make it out of Grimmel’s trap.
• Hiccup and Astrid still go after Toothless • the Hidden World scene is expanded upon. We actually get two things that Hiccup sees: one (and this is optional but a personal headcanon of mine) being the LF siblings introducing Toothless to small, wary, scarred group of night furies (complete with Hiccup’s awe at finding more of them but also his realization that HUMANS did that to those dragons, they’re scarred and crippled because of them) • The other would be that Toothless doesn’t have the time to meet them properly, he gets distracted by squabble between two groups of wild dragons over food. Toothless instinctively uses his alpha command to take one of the groups to another feeding location, avoiding a fight. • The dragons recognize Toothless as a benevolent Alpha, and bow to him. It’s then that Astrid says that “now that’s a king” line.
• Hiccup chooses to leave Toothless there (the shock and pain of the Night Fury survivors being a factor of Hiccup deciding Toothless is better off without him, and besides, we’ve been building up on that “Toothless prefers his new friends over me” issue Hiccup is dealing with) • The whole rumblehorn thing happens and Toothless still brings Hiccup home, but Toothless isn’t angry or anything. The two light Furies do follow them. Seeing them actually only hardens Hiccup’s resolve, and he essentially kicks Toothless out, but he’s lashing out out of hurt, worry, rejection, and overall being overwhelmed by his duties as a Chief (namely the very large group of vikings bent on destroying Berk due to their philosophy) and his love and worry for Toothless • Toothless does leave, looking hurt but he does. • Astrid tries to comfort Hiccup again, but this time he just wants to be alone. Once she leaves, Hiccup mourns a little, but then he’s suddenly shot with one of Grimmel's darts. Astrid sees him be taken, but it’s too late to rescue him
• Hiccup wakes up in a ship of the armada his mother had seen on Cloudjumper, and is surprised in a very angry way to see Drago there (we hadn’t seen him since the moment he lashes at Grimmel for letting the Berkians get away– but he does so in a logical and tactical way) • Drago wants the location of the Hidden World – something he probably got from Grimmel who overheard it during the raid on his lair – and he plans to use Hiccup for it • Remember when Hiccup was called a devil in the beginning of the movie? This scene would get its payback here!! In a very clear parallel to Dragons 1, Drago would shackle Hiccup and sail east, and in a very Stoick-esque way, tells him to “lead the way, [to the nest], little devil” • Y'know like what happened to Toothless in HTTYD 1
• Cut to Toothless in the Hidden World. He’s looking at his tail, rather forlorn and lost • The Lightfury comes to see him, looking rather affectionate- they’re a couple, it seems. Toothless looks to her and then to behind him, where the other Light/Night furies (and some other dragons in the background) are waiting for him • Toothless isn’t ready yet. He licks the LF (think of a “I have to” kiss on the cheek Hiccup gave Astrid in HTTYD 2), and flies towards the waterfall and out of the hidden world, back to Hiccup.
• Drago is sailing towards the general direction of the hidden world, guided by the direction Toothless flew off before he captured Hiccup • Hiccup is unable to free himself, but then he (and the antagonists) is surprised to see that Berk is flying towards the armada to free him, en masse. All seem determined to defend the Hidden World’s entrance from Drago’s fleet • It’s a nice shout out to both HTTYD 1, where that small team fought the read death, but also to how the vikings have changed, how Hiccup has changed them. A small team has become a whole village. • no one can quite get to Hiccup tho, but then Drago is surprised to find Toothless there, looking very very angry • Grimmel still threatens someone Toothless loves, but it’s Hiccup this time. For a brief moment, Toothless controls the dragons away from the fight, so Hiccup isn’t killed. Toothless cannot let Hiccup die. He can’t. He loves him too much. • Drago and Grimmel however, are distracted long enough for Toothless to grab Hiccup and flee– not by humans but by the whole group of light and night furies. It seems as though Furies are a very territorial species, and act as protectors of the hidden world.
• Grimmel still grabs the LF, Toothless still follows him with Hiccup. The whole thing that went down in the movie happens here. Grimmel dies. Toothless is rescued by the young, excitable LF Male, while our girl, who has always been more distrustful of Hiccup, saves his life. She does smile crookedly at him, that very Toothless smile she learned from him.
• Drago is still out there, though. Hiccup, Toothless and the dragon gang regroup while most of Berk still fights. Hiccup is alive, but feels lost, he always wanted to prevent a war and now a war has happened anyway • This is where Astrid comes in again, and where she repeats that “what are you going to do about it” line • The gang goes after drago– and surprise: Hiccup is using the old saddle, but Toothless still wears the new tailfin, one last big fight for the two of them: this time, while they’re still connected, they’re able to fight apart from each other– maybe it’s here that we get that sword/explosion/look between Hiccup and Astrid. Toothless is flying on his own, and Hiccup is fighting on his own as well. By mutual choice this time, knowing how their differences don’t affect their devotion to each other • The furies fight alongside Hiccup, Toothless and the Berkians, showing the beauty of cooperation and mutual respect between humans and dragons that do decide to work together… As well as allowing Hiccup one big flight with Toothless and other night furies, as was his dream for his friend. • Drago is defeated, and the army scatters (how it’s up to you, I’m still fond of the jailed idea, except Drago falls under water and drowns, or something. Idk. For a man who’s so determined to control and dominate, dying in a cage designed to control and rip freedom away would be pretty good poetic justice, but idk.)
• Hiccup and Toothless still part ways. Hiccup’s speech isn’t really about how his dream wasn’t the dragons’ dream. Instead, much like the books, he says that Humanity isn’t quite ready to share the world with them, and that Toothless needs to take them away for their own safety (basically the same message of the movie but sans the weird “hiccup is clinging to toothless” subplot.) • That heart-wrenching scene still happens pretty much the same way.
• The ending is also very much the same, the babies and stuff. We’d probably see more light furies and one or two night furies on the other rocks surrounding the hidden world– they still act as protectors. • the ending goes very much the same way: I’d just tweak the words a little to explain that this isn’t just about hiding the hidden world’s secret (though you do see that in a way, Hiccup and Berk = the Furies’ role, all are guardians of the Hidden World, kinda binding them together even if they are away), but also about spreading the message that one day humans and dragons (wildlife?) can coexist someday, and when We’re ready, the Dragons will one day return.
— ……. Well that was long. I’ve been furiously typing on my phone for a good hour and a half actually. My fingers are dead but I just love this idea so much.
Also very much Not Revised so forgive any grammar/spelling mistakes!
Sorry for like. Making this way too big, Hiccup-is-left-handed. I got way too excited about it :’D

Guiding Light turns two years old today!
It’s crazy to think this all began only a couple of years back... and also hilarious it falls on the same day as “International Mystery Dungeon Day” over on Twitter. More after the cut. This is gonna be a long one, so I appreciate anyone willing to read this. ^^
Tumblr media
For a long time, I had been a casual consumer of fan fics. It started in the late 2000s when I was in a Spyro craze thanks to the more story-driven Legend of Spyro trilogy. I had an itch that I needed scratched and FFN fulfilled that to some extent. I also looked at some Mario fics, including Paper Mario: The Temple of the Sun, which I greatly enjoyed and thought did a good job adapting the formula that made Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door so beloved and putting a unique spin on things.
But it was until the early 2010s that I actually started getting back into Pokémon games with Gen V. After Emerald, I fell out of touch with Pokémon for a time. When Gen VI came around, I dipped my toe into the fandom through Twitch livestreams, but also through reading a few anime-based fics that are very long and still going, even now.
Tumblr media
At the same time, I ended up buying PMD: Explorers of Sky... and damaged my cartridge before I could properly finish the game with my Vulpix/Riolu team. So, I watched cutscenes for what I missed on YouTube, then got Gates to Infinity and, later, Super Mystery Dungeon and had fun with both of them... though more for the stories and characters than the actual gameplay. Truth be told, I don’t care much for roguelikes at all.
Tumblr media
It was during the gap in time between Super’s release and the first official footage of Sun & Moon in mid-2016 that I found myself hit with a recurring thought: “What if someone made a PMD story where the hero and the partner are forced to fight one another with the fate of the world at stake?” I wound up (loosely) brainstorming an idea for a PMD story revolving around an antagonistic Hoopa character who would use its ring portals to collect entire communities, including the Pokémon living in them... all so that he would never be bored. This would lead him to “collect” the partner to add to his “toys,” so when the hero shows up, he’d sic the partner on them.
Tumblr media
But that was as far as I got with the idea. I ended up graduating college and took a job with late evening hours. It left me pretty tired and exhausted and unmotivated to do much of anything. I withdrew from the parts of the Pokémon community I was involved in.
Tumblr media
Then the Generation VII games came out and, while divisive in the fandom, I found myself really liking some of the concepts. There were so many times when I thought, “Gee, I wonder what this would be like if it were in a PMD game?” For example, one of the ideas I had was a sort of edgy rival rescue team akin to Gladion, which would have a Midnight Lycanroc, a Zoroark, and a Type: Null character in it.
Tumblr media
So, toward the end of 2016 and early 2017, I started creating an idea for a Choose Your Own Adventure story with the intent of putting it on this really small forum I was a part of. It would be a Gen VII-themed PMD story, but because I didn’t think that sounded interesting enough, I decided that, not only would the human keep their memories, but they would be from the real world and be a major Pokémon nerd. The idea was that the choices the readers made would affect the relationship between the human and partner. I even came up with a point system. The more points the readers earned for their choices, the “closer” the relationship the hero and partner would have and the happier an ending the story would get. If the hero and partner couldn’t stand each other, one of them would likely end up working with the bad guy and winning. If they became steadfast friends, they’d work together to save the world.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, the forum shut down before I got too far into planning it, so I shelved the idea and continued focusing on my job. And things stayed that way for several months, until I ended up getting into med school and scrambling to move.
Tumblr media
During the downtime I had when I wasn’t doing moving related stuff, I decided to look at FFN again and found Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Defenders of Warmth. I wound up reading through the entirety of the story quite quickly. I guess you could say it sparked something in my head. The fic itself focuses on what, at the time, was the newest Gen (Gen V). It also has multiple humans and is set on a continent separate from the canon locations (which were just the Air and Grass Continents, since Gates and Super didn’t exist when the fic was written). In short, it renewed my desire to pursue my idea of a Gen VII-flavored PMD story.
Tumblr media
So, I set about creating my story outline. It is so... so much different from the actual story, though I’ve gone into that in previous posts (search for #amby answers). Originally, I used Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time as the framework for the fic: an alien invasion in a colorful, comedic world. I took more specific cues, too. Zero was meant to be a (mostly) silent antagonist a la Princess Shroob, for example.
Tumblr media
The problem was, I really didn’t have much confidence in myself or my abilities. I’d like to say I was writing for myself, but I really did want validation, too. I think any author is lying to themselves if they say they don’t feel this way at some point. Because of this, I figured if I put the fic on FFN, it would get ignored. The site’s huge! There were, at the time, around 85k fics in the Pokémon section alone. (That number’s since gone up to over 90k!)
Tumblr media
Given I had experience with forums, I decided to post it to Serebii, because the fic community seemed much smaller and more open to giving feedback to one another. In an effort to try and, y’know, establish some connections, I actually read other pieces and reviewed them before posting any stories. This also helped me build up a backlog of chapters and prove to myself I enjoyed writing this enough to keep going.
Tumblr media
When I finally did post the fic, it was a bumpy start, for sure. I do think I made a lot of mistakes out of the gate, including uploading chapters way too quickly for readers on Serebii to (reasonably) try to keep pace. That probably cost me a few potential readers... or made them silent readers who I never ended up hearing from. Which is why I’m especially thankful to @girl-like-substance (who I can seem to tag, drat) for all of the well-thought-out feedback given throughout the fic’s run. I don’t think I would’ve made such significant strides in my writing otherwise... and there are plenty of long-running fics where the quality tends to stagnate.
Tumblr media
In any case... it was thanks to a request from @deliriousabsol to put the fic somewhere more mobile-friendly that I chose to mirror Guiding Light on FFN starting in October 2017. I would’ve kept going on Serebii had she not asked so nicely, so she’s the one you can thank for it showing up there! (She’s a fellow author who does cyberpunk-themed fics and art and her characters have cameoed in the fic.)
Tumblr media
And, honestly, I’m just... beyond shocked at what wound up happening to the fic once it hit FFN. Well, actually, for the first several months I was lucky if I even got a comment when I put up a chapter. I’m not sure any of the people who first commented on FFN still follow the fic anymore. I haven’t seen/heard from them at all, so I assumed they moved on with their lives.
Tumblr media
In any case, around March of 2018, the word count on FFN passed 300k and... somehow, the fic starting getting more attention. Like, a lot more attention. This was... not really something I was even remotely prepared for.
Tumblr media
(Yes, this means there’s gonna be a giveaway. More on that later.) I never would’ve thought I’d reach a number like this. I never imagined I’d meet another PMD author who’d be willing to do a fun collab (thanks @virgil134, Spiteful Murkrow, and Namohysip). I really did not imagine that I’d ever get fanart of characters that I wrote (huge thanks @thebreak-ofdawn, @ask-nicky-and-others, and @cresselia92). I mean, above everything, I not expect the fic or characters to resonate with anybody the way it wound up.
Tumblr media
A part of me feels like I don’t really deserve it. I’ve made a lot of serious gaffes with writing this. When initial Serebii feedback had people intrigued by Shane’s jerkass attitude (when I didn’t actually intend for him to come off as a jerk), I dialed things up in the hopes I’d keep their attention. It probably cost me readers. Then there’s the slow pacing of the early episodes and the mistake of making Special Episode 3 as long as it was... which my speaks to my (bad) tendency to give into some of my strongest impulses even though I had an outline I was trying to stick to.
Tumblr media
And, I mean, there’s also some of the “shamlessly shameful” stuff I’ve done with the fic. I’m not fooling myself. Guiding Light has grown progressively more furry and, uh, probably fanservicey, too. All the big furbait (and some scalebait) ‘mons are accounted for. There’s a lot more sexual humor when I initially promised myself I would stay away from romance and keep everything platonic. I practically turned Xerneas into waifu bait, if some of these asks are anything to go by. This blog certainly didn’t help in that regard. Maybe I’m just being my usual nervous self?
Tumblr media
I am worried that this fic’s performance has, somehow, affected my thoughts and behavior. There are very popular fic authors who let their popularity get to their head... or chose to open up Patreons (something that makes me uncomfortable) or start doing things like taking commissions for written pieces, which is understandable... though I think it’s an easy way to lose your passion for writing. I guess some of that worry stems from a debacle I learned about on a Discord server I’m in, but that’s not something I’m comfortable discussing publicly.

And I haven’t even talked much about the blog itself. Like, it somehow passed 100 followers? Where? When? How? I don’t actually draw stuff like many other Pokéasks. And, like, for a lot of folks, I have no idea if they’ve actually read the fic or just check in on the blog. It’s the same with the fic, I suppose. If you’re a silent reader/follower, I would really love to hear from you! I promise... I don’t bite or anything. I’d love to know what (if anything) you’re thinking. And if you’re a blog that’s following this one and we haven’t interacted, please feel free to reach out! It’s honestly hard to tell if people like what I’m doing, so any feedback is always appreciated.
Tumblr media
In any case, if I haven’t lost you by now, I guess all I can say is... thank you. Thank you all so much for all of the support... whether it’s on the fic, the blog, or both of them. I really do hope this final episode can meet your expectations. I’ll try my very best to make this an ending to remember. Nothing would make me happier than to hear you guys enjoy it and feel it does justice to the PMD series.
Sorry for all the rambling. The inbox is open again if you’d like to send any messages for the ficaversary. Again, thank you all so much! You’re the best!

Our Home Is A Safe House
Bakugo blew in and out of their lives like the wind. Eventually, Jirou and Shinso decide they want to keep him there.
[Shinso/Jirou/Bakugo]
[Aged Up Characters, Pro Heroes, Established Shinso/Jirou, Living Together, Getting Together, Domestic, Domestic Fluff, Polyamory, OT3]
They moved in together after high school.
Shinso became an underground hero, often doing undercover missions and staying away for weeks at a time. Jirou decided that the danger in trying to balance a music career with her hero career was worth the inherent effort it would require if it would earn her the money and popularity she would no doubt need to support herself and Shinso, especially when she was on a hero team with half of her band mates. Momo had told her, based on her own internships, how much popularity and reputation fed into each other, and how much those fed into monetary gain. Shinso would never have much of either, if he was working as well as he was supposed to, and while she wasn't sure how that would translate to his paycheck, she thought it was better to plan ahead.
They traveled a lot. Small tours at first, promotions and live concerts, picking up whatever hero work they could in the area, then larger and larger things as they got more and more popular.
Bakugo dove head first into his hero career. No one expected differently from him, so it was a pleasant surprise when he made time once a month to meet up and practice with them.
Their home was more like a safe house. People would crash there; Shinso when he was home from missions, she and her band mates when they were home from tour. Sometimes they would be home at the same time and they would be unnaturally clingy due to how rarely they saw each other. They would be together, regardless of where they were or what they doing. Sometimes Jirou would be at her desk working on music or lyrics and Shinso would sit beside her to fall asleep. Shinso might be eating at the table and she would place herself in his lap and doze off until he had to move.
They had more couches than actual furniture. They weren't broke, but they also weren't home often enough that either of them had made the house into a home. There were enough couches for her and her band mates, two tables, one for eating and one for working, and then everything else was bare necessities. Kaminari found time to comment on it every time he was over and Momo would secretly leave behind little things she made with her quirk; pillows and blankets and fancy looking dishes. Jirou told her that she didn't have to do that, but still thanked her every time it happened.
On one notable visit from Bakugo, they were all there, Jirou and Shinso sitting practically in each other lap on one couch, Kaminari and Momo relaxing on the other, enjoying the first day they'd all had off together in months. Bakugo had arrived for his monthly practice with them, took one look at them all and proclaimed, "You all look like shit."
"Thanks, Blasty, you always know just what to say," Shinso told him. The bags under his eyes seemed worse than usual, but she couldn't say whether that was because he was working too much or sleeping too little. One of the downsides of their conflicting schedules was that she couldn't keep an eye on him like she wanted to.
"Stuff it, Brain dead," Bakugo snapped as he strode toward the kitchen. He opened their fridge and stared into it for a full minute before growling, "The fuck? Why the hell is this so empty?"
"Probably because we're hardly ever here," Jirou answered in a bored voiced.
Bakugo stomped back into the room, glaring at Kaminari. "Get up, Sparks, you're coming with me."
"What?" Kaminari jumped at Bakugo's voice, blinking around as he wondered what he'd done wrong. He'd been half asleep beside Momo and his abrupt movement seemed to wake her, as well.
Bakugo's impatience boiled over as he made small explosions in his palms. "Just get the hell over here!"
Kaminari scrambled off the couch and to Bakugo's side. Bakugo pushed him toward the door, snatching up their keys from the table.
"Hey!" Jirou objected.
"You idiots get some fucking sleep, I'll let myself in," Bakugo commanded.
"What are you even--"
"Shut up and go to sleep!" Bakugo interrupted her, then he pushed Kaminari out the door and slammed it behind them.
Shinso huffed. "Good to know he's exactly as he pushy as always."
"Whatever. Let's just ignore him," Jirou said. Despite saying so, all three of them were asleep again in under ten minutes.
Jirou woke to the smell of food. Her eyes landed on the opposite couch first, where Kaminari and Momo were snuggling together underneath a blanket that Jirou was sure hadn't existed when she went to sleep. She had fallen asleep in Shinso's lap, but now her boyfriend was on top of her and she had to wiggle herself out from under him in order to stand. Shinso could be a heavy sleeper when he was exhausted and he barely moved when she got up except to turn over in his sleep, luckily not falling off of the couch. They really needed to buy a bed. They kept swearing to do it, but neither of them had.
She wandered into the kitchen, only somewhat surprise to see Bakugo standing at the stove and stirring a pot. "What's that?" she asked.
"You idiots were going to starve yourself, so I cooked," he answered without turning to look at her.
"What's that? Did I hear concern?" she asked with a smirk.
He didn't turn to see it. "Fuck off, Earlobes. I already know you can't cook worth shit and that bag eyed boyfriend of yours probably isn't far behind. This is charity work."
"Yaomomo could have cooked," Shinso said around a yawn as he walked into the kitchen, leaning against the wall. "So try again."
"This is her day off, asshole!"
"Aww, you care," Shinso told him.
"Say that again!" Bakugo yelled, setting off explosions threateningly. "I'll fucking--" Bakugo stopped abruptly, a blank look coming over his face as Shinso's quirk took effect. Shinso had come a long way in being able to comfortably use his quirk and some part of her smiled whenever he used it playfully.
Shinso grinned, strolling forward and looping an arm around Bakugo's shoulders. "Thanks, Blasty. We appreciate it. Really."
Jirou moved to his other side, taking the opportunity to give Bakugo a hug, in part because she was actually grateful and partly because she knew it would annoy him. "Who knew you were so sweet?" she asked mockingly.
They both pulled back.
"Why don't you go wake up the others," Shinso ordered. Bakugo marched out of the room and Jirou found herself laughing as she watched him go.
"He's gonna kill you," she told him.
"Yeah, guess I better eat fast," he replied. They grinned at each other before she went to grab bowls and he went to get glasses, and they went about serving the food.
They were both surprised when the day ended without Bakugo threatening to kill them again. He tossed their keys back on their table before he left, looking them in the eye and telling them, "Buy a fucking bed already." He slammed the door behind himself, leaving them both smiling more than they had in a long while.
They bought a bed. Momo made them a bed frame and Kaminari gifted them with a new set of sheets. They didn't get a chance to sleep in it before they were off again.
Jirou rarely got even a hint of her boyfriend in the news. It was his job to be discreet, that was true, but she sometimes combed through article after article just hoping for a hint of him or a signature that suggested his involvement. She often came up empty. Midoriya had more luck, having the experience of an obsessive fanboy and she had reluctantly asked him early on if he could send things her way when they were about Shinso. He didn't seem to mind. She secretly suspected that he kept a scrapbook or something on everyone in class and avidly watched their hero careers, though she wasn't sure how he had time, since she was always seeing him in the news doing... something.
Jirou sent him tickets to her upcoming concerts as a thank you, and that was how her band and hero team, Royal Flush, ending touring with Deku and Explosion King.
"Whoa, I wasn't expecting you to bring Bakugo," Jirou commented when the two joined them backstage.
"I figured he would want to see you guys, but he was too embarrassed to say so," Midoriya said brightly.
"Who the fuck asked you?" Bakugo asked loudly. "I'm only here because Round Face was busy."
Midoriya smiled at them. "Do we have time to catch up before you guys go on stage?"
"Hmm, maybe not, but we can catch up afterwards!" Kaminari answered excitedly.
"Oh, one more thing," Midoriya said. He blushed as he held out a notebook. "Can I please have your autographs?"
"You fucking nerd," Bakugo grumbled.
The five of them spent five weeks traveling, doing hero work together and making a name for themselves in new parts of Japan. The headlines were impossible to avoid.
Have Explosion King and Deku Joined Hero Team Royal Flush?
Explosion King and Creation Queen On A Date? Could This Be The Start Of A New Romance?
Chemistry Between Sound Jack and Electric Ace? The Secret Lives of Royal Flush.
"Ugh, this is trash," Jirou groaned as she tossed the newest buzz article onto the table. They were all sitting around the table in Momo's hotel room, since it was the largest of all of them.
"I'm surprised they'd write this when Kacchan already has a girlfriend," Midoriya said, only sparing the article a glance.
Kaminari nearly fell out of his chair in his haste to sit up. "What? Really? Why didn't you tell me? Who is it?"
"Because it's none of your damn business," Bakugo snapped.
"What? Come on!" Kaminari whined. "We're friends, aren't we?"
"Says who?"
"Ack! That hurts!"
"That aside," Momo said, looking at Midoriya and Bakugo both. "We worked together really well. I wouldn't be opposed to having either of you join us. If you wanted to, of course."
Midoriya looked at Bakugo before quickly shaking his head. "Kacchan doesn't want to be on a team with me."
Bakugo's eye twitched, but he stayed silent, crossing his arms and looking away from them.
"You don't have to make your decision based on him," Kaminari said.
Midoriya smiled softly, looking down. "I know, but I don't want to get in the way."
"In the way of what?" Momo questioned.
"Shut up, already!" Bakugo yelled, not looking at any of them. "If you want me on your shitty team so badly, I'll join your shitty team."
"Gee, thanks. Don't go out of your way or anything," Jirou told him.
Bakugo ignored them all after that.
Despite their best efforts, they couldn't get Midoriya to give away what he had meant or what Bakugo might be thinking.
It was nearly midnight when Jirou got a call from Shinso. She had just gotten back to her hotel after a villain unexpectedly crashed their concert and had only moments before allowed herself to fall onto the bed. Without bothering to move, she had her earjacks move to the bedside table where she'd placed her phone, pressing the speaker button.
"Hey, Shin," she breathed, hoping that her voice would carry so that she didn't have to move.
"Hey, Kyo. You sound like that beast hit you harder than it looked."
Jirou turned her head toward her phone. "You saw?" she asked him.
Shinso hummed in ascent. She could hear moving in the background, but she didn't bother trying to decipher it. She wondered if he was at home or not. "Some kid caught most of the battle on his phone and put it on the net."
"Great, just what I needed," she groaned.
"Hey, you looked great out there. One fall isn't going to wreck your reputation," he assured her. "You're killing it in the charts right now. Better than some of our classmates."
"Oh yeah?"
"Yeah. I'll send you the video of Todoroki's last interview. I swear he tanks every time there's a mic in his face."
They shared laughter and Jirou felt herself relaxing a bit more. She didn't always notice how much she missed him, but it was moments like this that she really realized how often they were apart. It sucked, but they were both doing what they loved. It was enough. For now, anyway. Maybe one day it wouldn't be. Maybe one day they would be popular and productive enough to take more time off.
"Tell me what else is going on with you," she said softly. She didn't say, I miss you, but she was pretty sure that he heard it anyway.
"Sure, I'll tell you how Hagakure wiped out and helped me save the day."
Shinso wasn't usually very talkative. Neither was she, really, but for her, he usually found a way to spin story upon story. She listened until she was on the verge of falling asleep and he paused.
"Hey, Kyoka?" he called softly. He probably didn't want to wake her if she'd fallen asleep.
"Hmm?" she hummed, hanging on to consciousness by a thread.
"I love you."
She was pretty sure that was the first time she'd ever heard him say that, but she was too tired to think on it much or even respond, she just let the warmth spread through her as she fell asleep.
"I'm so glad to be back!" Kaminari yelled as he fell face first onto the couch.
"I'm surprised you decided to come back with me," Jirou told him as she sat on the opposite couch. "Even Momo decided to go home after being away so long."
"Kiri asked me to wait before coming back. I'm pretty sure he and Mina are trying to throw a surprise party for me or something," Kaminari answered.
She looked around slowly, happy to be back, but it felt so... empty. It really hit home how bare bones her place was and how much more empty it seemed when Shinso wasn't there with her.
Kaminari turned to face her on the couch to give her a concerned look. "Hey, you okay over there?"
"Yeah, just..." she shook her head at herself. It was silly to feel so lonely when she wasn't alone and had spoken to Shinso not two days ago. "It's stupid."
Kaminari pushed himself up, watching her more closely. "You can talk about it anyway, you know. We're friends. Let me help."
"You can't really help," she told him. Jirou let her head fall back onto the couch and closed her eyes. "I just... miss him a little."
"I get that," he said. "You guys are gone a lot. It makes sense."
"It's stupid," she argued. "It's stupid and clingy and... frustrating," she admitted.
"Clingy like how you guys are all over each other every time you're in the same room?" he asked. "Or like moving in together immediately after high school, no hesitation?"
jIrou felt her face heat up and she grabbed a pillow to toss at him to hide her embarrassment. "Sh-shut up!"
He laughed loudly, even after getting hit in the face with the pillow. "It's okay to be clingy sometimes, Jirou. You don't have to try so hard to hide it."
"When did you start making sense?" Jirou asked indignantly.
"I had to wise up at least a little eventually," he answered. "Between Yaomomo and Bakugo always being on me, you know."
She smiled at him. "I guess you're right."
He pushed himself up off the couch. "I'll see you later, yeah?"
"Yeah, see you later." She watched as Kaminari saw himself out. A minute later she got up and went to the fridge, but she wasn't surprised when she found it empty.
She was asleep on the couch when Shinso came back. She heard the door creak and slowly opened one eye to watch him as he came to her side. Shinso pressed a kiss to her forehead and spoke softly into her skin. "Hey."
"Hey," she answered sleepily.
"How about we actually use that bed for once?"
She smiled, rolling over to wrap her arms around him and he dutifully lifted her up and carried her to be the bed. She tried to keep herself awake long enough to revel in the feeling and found herself lulled to sleep anyway.
It was a nice feeling, waking up in a bed beside her boyfriend. She watched him as he slept, combing her fingers through his hair and holding him close. "Hey, Shin," she whispered. "I think I love you, too."
She'd thought he was asleep, but he proved her wrong when he squeezed his arms around her tighter and mumbled a sleepy, "I know."
She felt her face heat up and she buried it in his hair. "D-dummy, you were supposed to be asleep."
He chuckled, the sound causing warmth to pool in her stomach. "I wouldn't have wanted to miss that for anything."
She curled around him more, glad that he couldn't see her face. "Don't say things like that..."
He laughed again. "You're lucky I can't see your face, because I would remember how you looked saying you love me forever."
She made a surprised noise in the back of her throat. He squeezed her again.
"You're so cute, Kyo."
"Sh-shut up, Shin..."
Shinso made coffee when he dragged himself out of bed. It was a nice morning, one of the few that they'd been able to spend together since moving in. Jirou made herself comfortable in his lap, clinging to her coffee even though she'd been up longer than he had. It was nice, having her close, holding her, feeling her warmth. He pressed his face into her neck, taking in her scent and leaving a lazy trail of kisses.
"Wh-what are you doing?" she asked. He could hear the embarrassment in her voice, and he smiled against her skin.
"Waking up," he told her.
"If this is how you wake up, what do you do when I'm not here?"
"Sleepwalk."
She huffed, holding in her laughter. That wouldn't do. He liked the way her laugh sounded. He wanted to hear it. He didn't get the chance to make her laugh as much as he wanted to nowadays and he wasn't going to let this opportunity pass him by.
"Hey, Kyo?"
"What?" She became still as his power took hold of her.
He pressed a kiss to her neck as he said softly, "Laugh for me."
He smiled as she immediately burst into raucous laughter. He pulled back to see the unrestrained joy on her face, feeling warm and soft and wanting her to feel the same. He took the mug of coffee from her hands and placed it on the table, then her cupped her cheeks in his hands. "You can stop."
It wasn't an immediate stop, the laughter taking a moment to die down. "Really, Shin?"
He leaned forward and kissed her. She made a noise of surprise, but melted into him almost immediately. Her earjacks wrapped gently around his wrist and her arms went around his neck. He hummed in contentment, holding her close to him. They were reluctant to part and did so slowly. Shinso pressed his forehead to hers, smiling softly.
"You're surprising romantic sometimes," she told him.
He chucked. "And you're surprisingly easy to embarrass."
Jirou playfully slapped his arm. "Shut up."
"You're right, you're right," Shinso said. "It wasn't all that surprising."
Their fridge was as empty as it always was. They couldn't really keep much when they were rarely ever home, so after finishing their coffee they got dressed and headed out for lunch, since it was well past noon.
"We should go shopping," he said once they were done with lunch. "Our place looks like villain hideout."
"It could do with some sprucing," she agreed. "Wanna go now?"
By the end of the day they'd gotten a desk, a bookshelf, another set of dishes, and a host of useless decorative items that made their place look actually lived in. They spent most of the day decorating, moving things around, arguing about placement, and goofing around in a way they'd sorely missed.
"Blasty just texted me," Shinso said. "You feel like dealing with him?"
"Tell him he has to cook if he wants to come over. Saves us from having to get take out."
"And buy groceries," he added. "You're a genius."
"True."
He responded to Bakugo's text quickly before pouncing on her and tickling her for her arrogance.
Bakugo showed up half an hour later with a suitcase and a bag of groceries. He dropped both on the ground immediately. "Round Face broke up with me. I'm going to take a shower. Don't talk to me." Then he stomped off to the bathroom.
They both looked at each other with wide eyes.
"Did you know he was dating Ochako?" Shinso questioned once he heard the shower running in the other room.
Jirou shook her head. "I had no idea. Midoriya mentioned that he was dating someone, but they didn't say who."
"Well, fuck," Shinso said, looking down at the suitcase Bakugo had dropped at the door. "What do we do?"
Jirou's eyes also dropped to the suitcase. "Wait a minute, he went to take a shower, but he left his stuff here."
"Do we own extra towels?" Shinso questioned.
"I think. We're they in the bathroom?" Jirou asked. Her face was turning red and her eyes widening with incoming panic. Shinso couldn't say that he didn't feel the same at the thought of an angry, naked Bakugo possibly storming around their house.
"You fuckers are pathetic," Bakugo said as he stormed back into the room. Jirou squeaked and hide her face in Shinso's chest before she even had the chance to look at him. "You still haven't gotten this shit hole together yet?"
Shinso's arms went around her immediately, but his eyes were drawn to Bakugo. There had, apparently, been a towel in the bathroom, but Sinso wasn't sure if that made things better or worse. The towel was wrapped around his waist, but there were still drops of water on his chest, glistening in the light. His hair was still wet, making it look the softest that Shinso had ever seen it. Shit. Bakugo was hot. He could feel his eyes widen at the sight, was far too aware of his own staring, in fact,  and completely unable to make himself stop. "Fuck," he swore softly.
Bakugo swept past them to pick up the bag of groceries. His eyes landed on Shinso's and he glared. "What?"
"Nothing!" Shinso replied quickly. Too quickly. He was still staring. Fuck.
Bakugo held his gaze for a moment longer, but when he didn't say anything, Bakugo just snorted and walked away.
Shinso shook her as soon as Bakugo turned around. "Kyo. Kyo, I need you to see this."
"What? Why?" she questioned, pulling back enough to look at him.
"I can't unsee it and I need you to suffer with me," he told her sincerely.
"What?"
"Please."
"No wa..." she trailed off as he took control of her.
"Look, this is important, I need you to go in there, look at Bakugo for a full minute, and then come back here and tell me what you honestly think."
He watched her as she walked off, waited for her to return, and then let out a deep breath when she said, "He's hot."
"Thank god it's not just me."
"Oh god, he's hot," she repeated as she came out of quirk, covering her quickly reddening face with her hands. "Why did you make me realize that?"
"I refuse to be alone in this."
"He's an asshole!" she argued.
"We're assholes," he replied.
"Fuck me," she groaned. She sounded nearly as pained as he felt.
Shinso opened his mouth to reply, then he thought about it. Then he remembered the thread of conversation and thought about a few more things. Then his face was becoming as red as hers and he was hiding in his hands, too. "Don't say that, Kyo."
She looked at him with wide eyes. "Shin!"
"You're the one that brought it up!"
"What are you idiots whispering about?" Bakugo asked as he leaned in the doorway.
They both jumped. Jirou let her embarrassment turn to anger as she demanded,  "Why are you walking around in a towel?" She was hot when she was angry and embarrassed. She stomped toward him, jabbing him with her finger as she demanded, "Put some clothes on."
"Fuck off," Bakugo replied easily. He knocked her hand away, rolling his eyes.
"This is my house!"
"Could have fooled me. This place looks basically abandoned."
Shinso really needed not to be thinking what he was thinking right now. Why was he attracted to hot, angry assholes? Granted, Jirou wasn't angry as often as Bakugo, but...
"Why did you bring a suitcase with you?" he asked. Anything to get his mind off it's current thoughts.
Bakugo looked away. It was a rare show of vulnerability that struck even Jirou, making her pull back on her embarrassment. "I was staying with her and Deku. I didn't think it was a good idea to stick around under the circumstances."
"Wait, her and Deku?" Jirou questioned. "Does that mean..."
Bakugo glared at her. "What of it?" he asked harshly.
She took a step back, putting her hands up. "Nothing! I just didn't know you guys... any of you, were a... thing..."
"Yeah, I know," he said. "That's because I don't like people in my business."
"So why us?" Shinso questioned. "Why'd you chose to come to us?"
Bakugo hesitated. It wasn't something that he was used to seeing and Shinso found himself watching Bakugo with more interest.
"You two are less nosy than the other idiots," he eventually answered. "Even Ponytail would ask a million questions and you two actually know how to mind your own shit." He lifted his eyes to meet theirs. "Also, you guys could probably use the help. This place is an abandoned building half the time. I figured I wouldn't be in the way if I had to crash here."
There was a question in there if one could speak Bakugo. Shinso glanced at Jirou, but they already knew what answer they'd give. He was right, after all. This place was empty most of the time and he wouldn't be in the way. "Sure. You can stay," Shinso said. "As long as you cook."
Bakugo rolled his eyes as he headed back into the kitchen. "As if I'd think either of you could."
Bakugo crashing with them was pretty unobtrusive. He always found a reason to be elsewhere whenever they both had a day off, the fridge was suddenly never empty and they found cooked meals and leftovers fairly regularly. It was surprisingly nice.
Bakugo's presence in their life was louder in other ways. Royal Flush skyrocketed in popularity once people realized that Explosion King had actually had joined the team, which lead to benefits all round. They got better, more lucrative work, which meant Jirou could have more days off and thus had more time to see Shinso.
A week after Bakugo had been staying with them, Shinso came home to find him drinking at the kitchen table. Shinso pulled up a chair, poured himself a shot, and gave Bakugo a questioning look. "Rough night?"
"You're the one that looks like a rough night," Bakugo replied. "Do you ever not have bags under your eyes?"
"Are you ever not an asshole?" Shinso shot back.
Bakugo chuckled, taking a long sip from his drink. "Don't get the wrong idea," he said. "I'm not upset."
"Oh yeah, of course. I sit in the dark and drink heavily when I'm not upset, too."
Bakugo frowned. "I'm not upset because of her," he corrected. "I knew we were heading this way. Stupid Deku knew we were heading this way. He told me he wouldn't stand in the way of whatever I wanted and she was tired of watching me not decide. Like it was even any of her business."
"And what were you supposed to be deciding?" Shinso asked.
"Like it's any of your business," Bakugo replied.
Shinso shrugged. "I could argue that this is my house and that makes it my business. I could also use my quirk and just make you tell me." He watched Bakugo closely as his hand tightened around his glass before chugging what was left of it. "I won't, if you were worried about that," Shinso said. "That would be kind of a dick move."
"Isn't that your whole thing, as a hero?" Bakugo questioned.
Shinso laughed. "You could say that, yeah. Doesn't mean I have to be an ass all the time. You could take note of that, by the way."
"The idiots would have a heart attack if I ever started being nice."
"Hmm, maybe," Shinso agreed. His grin widened as he looked at Bakugo. "But maybe that's a perk, not a flaw." He pushed himself away from the table, stretching briefly. "You can bring your stuff here, by the way. Kyoka and I already talked about it. We've got an extra room, you won't be in the way if you move in."
"You two don't want your privacy?" he questioned.
"This place is already a safe house. The team crashes here most of the time anyway, it won't make that much of a difference."
There was silence between them and Shinso was almost out of the room before he heard a quiet, "Thanks."
"You're going on tour again?" Shinso questioned, looking up from his phone at this announcement. Jirou was sitting at the table with a cup of noodles, Momo was in the kitchen helping Bakugo, and Kaminari was lazing about on the other couch.
"Yeah, sorry this is kind of last minute," she told him. "They called us out for a mission, but our producer jumped on the chance to have us play again when she found out where we were going."
"You should play with us Bakugo," Kaminari spoke up. "You're already on the team, you'll be coming with us anyway, and it's not like you're out of practice."
"No one asked you, Blondie!" Bakugo replied immediately, but there wasn't any heat to it.
"It could be fun," Jirou said. "And you don't have to join the band again if you don't want to."
"Idiot," he said. "Who's going to keep an eye on the crowd if we're all on stage? What if some moron crashes like last time?"
"We'll have a better view of the crowd from the stage, genius," Jirou replied sarcastically.
"Not if we're too busy playing, Earlobes."
"Only if you don't think you can multitask, Dummy."
Their back and forth went on for a while, as it usually did. It was amusing to watch. Perhaps it was as as amusing to watch him and Bakugo, or him and Jirou when they traded their own barbs. He couldn't help but look at them and notice the chemistry between them. The way Kyoka's grin lit up her face and she leaned toward him, the way Bakugo kept his full attention on her whenever he looked he way. He wondered if it was the same when he and Bakugo were bickering, wondered if he wanted it to be.
"How long do you think you'll be on tour?" he asked.
"Shouldn't be longer than a month," she answered. There was a small curl of satisfaction in him at how easily she dropped her conversation with Bakugo to answer him. There was something less warm at the way Bakugo curled in on himself when he turned away from them.
"I'll take some time off when you get back," he told her. "I think I'm finally at the point where I can plan this sort of thing ahead of time and not worry about someone taking my spot."
"Yeah?"
"It helps that Hagakure and I work so well together. Once you learn to tune her out a little, it's way easier."
"You mean once you've used your quirk on her to shut her up," Bakugo mumbled.
"I never said how I had to tune her out," Shinso replied with a smirk.
"I'm glad that things are going so well for you," Yaoyorozu said, smiling as she began to set the table. He had a suspicious those were new dishes that she was putting on the table, but he wasn't about to complain. Half of the reason their house was as lively as it was was due to her.
"Yeah, well, while you guys are going off to live your rock star dreams, I'm going to have t go undercover with Hagakure and Monoma." Shinso sighed heavily. "They get along like spiders and flies, and I'm never sure which is which."
"That sounds pretty rough," Kaminari said with a wince.
"Yeah, and I have to put up with Monoma tapping me every few minutes to take my quirk. I know he's increased his limit, but he refuses to tell us how long and tries to keep up the pretense unless we're actually in the field."
"All this time and he hasn't let go of his stupid rivalry thing yet?" Jirou asked.
"With very few exceptions," he answered, looking at Yaoyorozu.
"Me?" she asked. "Why me?"
Shinso shook his head. "Have you met you? You're pretty much impossible to dislike."
She blushed slightly. "That's sweet of you to say."
"It's true of me to say."
Bakugo walked out of the kitchen and stole the cup of noodles from Kyoka's hand as he walked past. "Hey!"
"Food is ready. Stop eating this garbage," he told her.
"I like that garbage," she protested.
Bakugo looked her dead in the eyes as he used his quirk to blow them up. "Too late now."
"Asshole," she pouted. It was hard for her to stay mad when there was a full meal placed before her, though, and it was only a few minutes before she stopped pouting and started eating.
It was two weeks later on the phone that Shinso brought up the idea that had been lingering on his mind for so long. He was sharing a room with Monoma, but he'd used his quirk to put him to sleep before locking himself in the bathroom. "Hey, Kyo."
"Hey, Shin," Kyoka answered. "What's up? Miss me already?"
"I always miss you," he told her.
She hesitated in her response. He always surprised her when he said things like that and she always hesitated in saying similar things back. Kyoka had an easier time with physical affection; sharing space, sharing touches, that was something she excelled at. Shinso had always been good with words when he wanted to be and putting that to use with Kyoka was always nice.
"I missed you, too," she admitted with a heavy sigh.
They spent a few minutes updating each other on how their days had gone, how their missions were going. It was mostly comforting small talk, a reason to hear the other's voice, and a way for Shinso to procrastinate a little longer. But he didn't want to keep it up forever, so eventually, he asked her, "You're alone, right?"
"Yeah, why?"
"I... had something I wanted you to think about," he told her. She was quiet, waiting. He tried to imagine what expression she would be wearing, how she would tilt her head in confusion and play with her earjacks nervously if he took too long. "You remember when Bakugo came to us that day?"
He wouldn't need to be more specific than that. He was pretty sure it was burned into both of their brains. "What about it?" she asked quietly.
"Do you still think about it?"
Silence. He wondered what she was thinking about it. What she was thinking about him for asking. He held the phone tighter as he waited.
"Yes... Do you?"
"Yeah," he told her.
So that was out in the open.
She asked the question that he had called to ask in the first place. "What do you want to do about it?"
Jirou spent the last two weeks of her tour contemplating the question. They hadn't really come to a conclusion on the phone, spending more time in silent contemplation than conversation. It hadn't been bad. In fact, it was nice that they could come together on this. That they could talk things out and not feel pressured or the need to pressure the other.
She didn't even think that the problem was what they wanted to do, but what were they willing to do. It was more than obvious that they both found Bakugo attractive and that they got along with him. He was her teammate, her band mate, her housemate... Bakugo had already ended up wound up in their life. He was fun to bicker with, and it had been nice not coming home to an empty house.
Jirou would never say that there was anything mission between her and Shinso, that just wasn't true, but maybe there was still a space that he could fill. Thinking about it, Bakugo was the thing that made their safe house into a home. He was the one that had forced them to buy a bed, he was the one that put food on the table (not that they couldn't, but they never had when left to their own devices). He was a nag, both in battle and at home. Whenever both she and Shin were home he always stole their keys when he went out (until the point when they'd given him his own) and he always respected their time together, but he still... fit. He fit with them. He always had, if she were honest, they'd just never considered what that might mean.
So say they did ask, then what? Did they want him for a night? A weekend? Forever? And what if he said no? How would that make them feel? There were a lot of questions and she felt like she was just spinning her wheels.
Something cold touched her forehead and she jumped, forcefully falling out of her thoughts. "Quit getting lost in your own world," Bakugo scolded her, holding out a bottle of water. "We're supposed to be practicing, not day dreaming."
"Sorry," she answered quietly.
"Something on your mind, Kyoka?" Momo asked.
"Yeah, it's not really important. Don't worry about it."
"Idiot," Bakugo said, lightly rapping her on the top of her head. "If it worries you, it is important."
For a moment she felt surprised, then her expression softened. Bakugo had moments like this sometimes, soft moments that he had displayed more and more since moving in with her and Shin, but it still came as a complete surprise whenever he dropped his guard enough to let her see it. She smiled at him. "You're right. Maybe... I might want to talk about it later?" she didn't mean for it to come out as a question, but she met his gaze anyway. He looked curious, but he didn't say anything, only nodded.
As soon as they were home, Bakugo breezed back out the door to go get groceries. As long as they had been away, it was a guarantee that the fridge would be empty and Bakugo had taken it upon himself to take care of most, if not all, of their grocery shopping. Shinso was home by the time dinner was ready. Momo and Kaminari had fallen asleep on the couch by the time she'd finished her second glass of wine.
It was obvious to her, though she wasn't sure if Shin could tell, that Bakugo was waiting for them to bring up whatever was on their mind. He had shuffled Momo and Kaminari off while he did the dishes and used the wine as an excuse to keep her and Shin in the kitchen. Not to mention the looks he kept shooting them, somewhere between impatient and encouraging.
Finally, Shinso sat back in his chair and I said, "I don't know what to do about this."
It seemed he'd come to the same conclusion that she did. They definitely wanted to do something, if only they could figure out what that something was.
"About what?" Bakugo asked. He leaned against the counter, watching them both with narrowed eyes. His body was tense and she could read the wariness as loudly as he if he had screamed it at them.
"This," Shinso gestured between them all. "Whatever this is. Whatever this could be."
"I don't know what you're talking about," he replied.
"It isn't like you to play dumb, Bakugo," she scolded.
He glared at her. He didn't deny it. "There's nothing that needs to be done."
"Yeah, that's an option," Shinso said calmly. "Certainly not the most interesting option. And I'm guessing that's not the answer that you want."
"I haven't said shit about wanting something," Bakugo told him.
"You haven't," Shinso agreed. "But I've been thinking about it and it makes sense, doesn't it?" He looked at her. "He came to us. Midoriya didn't want to get in the way and Ochako didn't want to watch him doing nothing. As soon as they cut him loose, he came to us. That seems as close to a declaration as this asshole would get when he was still trying to be unobtrusive."
Jirou sat up straighter. It... did fit. It fit really well. She suddenly remembered how easily he had agreed to joining their team. She looked at him more closely, noting the slight blush on his cheeks. Then another idea hit her. "Is that why you decided to walk around here in a towel that first night?" she asked.
Bakugo shrugged, keeping his gaze firmly fixed on anything but them.
"What? Were you hoping that we'd offer you comfort sex or something?" Shinso asked.
"I didn't say--" Bakugo stopped as his eyes glazed over.
"Come here, Blasty," Shinso ordered, holding out his hand. Bakugo approached them obediently, Shinso taking one hand and Jirou taking the other. "What do you want?"
"I want you two assholes," Bakugo answered.
"In what way," she questioned.
"Answer her," Shinso said softly.
"Anyway. Every way," the answer seemed forced, as if were fighting it.
That was... more than she had been expecting. She looked at Shinso and he was already looking at her. Did they want that? Shinso reached out for her hand. He smiled, shrugged, leaving the decision up to her. She turned the idea over in her head, but as she'd thought earlier, he had already threaded himself through them both. This wasn't much more than that. (It was everything more than that and maybe that was the point.)
"Okay," she answered. "Yes."
Bakugo inhaled a breath, looking at them both with wide eyes as if he thought this would be some kind of trick.
"You already live here," Shinso told him. "It's not that different."
"It is," Bakugo said. He sounded a little choked, as if he had to force the words out. "It's completely different."
"It is, isn't it?" She rubbed a circle on the back of his hand with her thumb. "But it's what you want, right?"
"You two haven't said what you want," he said softly.
"We want this," Shinso told him. "We wouldn't offer it if we didn't."
Bakugo stared at their hands silently for a moment. He gripped them a little more tightly. "Don't think I'm gonna be any nicer to you assholes." He already was, but neither of them were going to call him out on it.
"Wouldn't dream of it," she told him. They didn't want to change him, after all. He was a good fit for him just as he was. Besides, there were better things to dream of. Bickering and banter and this... that she could image instead. She met his gaze and squeezed his hand in return. He seemed to relax a little as he looked at them and he smiled.

The Breakup Scene
Fandom: Avengers Pairing: Peter Parker x Male!Reader Summary: It’s just a total mayhem Word Count:1658 Request: Peter Parker x Actor Male Reader and the Reader is reading his lines to him and the lines are like saying I hate you because it like from a breaking up scene, and the team hears this and is not having it.
Tumblr media
“What’s the scene?”
You came sauntering into the Avengers tower that day, you were glad that you had a place to hang out with cameras flashing in your face. Your boyfriend was the famous Spiderman, and when his team found out you were dating (the gay icon and hero) they basically wanted to you to stay. Peter was here almost all the time, but even when he wasn’t you liked hanging around the team.
You found Peter very supportive and enjoyed your relationship with him.
“Does it matter? You don’t even watch my show,” You complained as you sat down next to him, averting your eyes at his English literature book, “Shakespeare?”
“It’s boring anyway,” You gasped, offended, as his bright smile beams at you, chuckling how silly you were, “Anyway, even if I don’t watch your show I want to know what scene you’re doing.”
“Why don’t you ever watch my show?” You asked as you watched Peter shut his book and throw it at the table.
The Avenger Towers was surprisingly quiet, like too quiet, but you enjoyed the sincere moments with Peter. Since you were just two teenagers, the adults (aka the responsible heroes of the world) like to make sure there isn’t any funny business - which all happens at your house when your parents go out for date night.
The living room was almost spotless, you figured that Tony was at breaking point when he ordered everyone to clean their mess, actually in fact, now that you think about it more - it was probably Pepper who scowled at them, they were all secretly scared of the CEO.
“You have to kiss that girl you work with since your characters are in love and do the kissy stuff-” Peter made a face, his nose scrunched up with his tongue out feign out disgust.
“Pete,” You gave him a pointed look, but there was an amusement in your tone as Peter rolls his eyes.
“I know, I know! You’re gay, she’s gay, no strings attached, I just don’t like when my boy kisses someone else.” Peter grumbled, whining like a little child as he crossed his arms over his chest and pouted.
You chuckled, your hand playing with his hair and softly placing a delicate peck on his cheeks, which turned red almost instantly. Your boyfriend likes to say that he isn’t jealous, but if the world knew that Spiderman was actually the greatest dork Peter Parker and he could control the plot line for your character he would most definitely make sure you weren’t kissing some co-worker of yours.
“Luckily for you, my dearest spider of mine, my character breaks up the relationship,” You shrugged as you hand him your script, shrugging your shoulders, “I think I almost got them perfected, but it doesn’t hurt to practice again, right?”
Peter looked at the words on your paper and looking at you, he wasn’t unfamiliar with the concept of helping you, but he has never done it before in a very open place. Mostly do it in his room back at Queens or at your place.
“Are you sure-?”
“Positive, I have the shooting tomorrow and this is practically my last opportunity to practise before I could possibly make a fool of myself.”
“Honey, you’re already a fool,” Peter started as he gave you a smug smile, “A fool for me.”
You choked out a laughter, throwing your head back as Peter grinned happily, watching you with bright eyes. As you calmed down, you both stare at each other with fond looks and genuine happiness.
“Alright, babe, come at me!” Peter spoke enthusiastically as he turns to face you fully, the sheets of papers pinched between his fingers.
You cleared your throat, your mind wandering before looking directly at Peter, when you had first started practising your lines with him Peter used to get uncomfortable with your stare, but now, he felt comfortable and he loved looking into your eyes.
“I used to think we were us verse the world kind of couple,” You started, reeling your lines, Peter always find your transition between your real you and your character, “You were my first love, and you always will be, but I don’t collapse for you like I used too, and I never will. “
Peter watched you acting, taking a deep breath, looking anywhere but him. Peter watched you in your full glory, it took his breath away.
“We can make it work!” Peter read the lines in front of him, with full emotions thinking that if he didn’t participate it’ll make you feel weird. “We can start over.”
“From where? We were doomed from the beginning.”
A bitter laugh had escaped your lips, a shiver had run down your boyfriend’s spine, watching how your eyes dilated when you looked back him. His heart was wildly thumping, he knew, he knows that you loved him but when your pupils dilated he knew that he was captivated in your spell.
“I guess, we’re better off as new people and different paths.” You continued as Peter’s lips tugged in a small smile.
“I hate you,” Peter seethes, looking at the paper and back at you as you nodded encouragingly to continue the scene, “After all that we’ve gone through? You are dead to me.”
However, getting caught up in your practice, some Avengers were peeking through and heard you running your lines, only to get misinformation as Tony burst into his living room.
“Are you breaking up with Peter?” The man exclaimed as he strode to hug Peter, gripping him tightly.
“Peter is a wonderful child,” Rhodey came crashing too, limping as he defended your boyfriend.
“I’m 16!” Peter exclaimed as you held back a laugh.
“Hush!” Tony and Rhodey spoke in unison as you watched the newly reformed team pile into the living room.
“Peter is a great man,” Steve had started, you raised an eyebrow, “He’s brilliantly smart and a gentleman, you must a fool to ever let him go!”
You crossed your arms over your chest, “I-”
“I think we can all agree that we would hate to see this baby face-” Natasha started but was cut off by an annoyed teenager, waving his arms and trying to get out of Tony’s grasp.
“Hey!”
“Be upset, this kid is the heart and soul of the team!” Natasha finished, “Though this is the last time I will mention it, so take it in, kid.”
“That’s nice-”
“I can’t believe you want to break up with him, this nerd is at best when you’re around,” Clint mentioned as Sam hummed an agreement, “Like I don’t want to suffer his science jokes that only you seem to understand, excluding the science nerds over there.”
Both Tony and Bruce looked offended as Bruce counted back at his teammate, “Clint, you’re like, one of the biggest nerds here.”
“No, I’m not-”
“You’re all nerds,” Natasha cut them off, as Wanda giggled behind Vision.
“Breaking up with Parker here is a terrible idea,” Bucky piped up from somewhere, you turned to see him standing by the Norse God.
“Not only that-” Thor had started before you got irritated.
“Hold it, pointbreak,” You hear Tony snort as you looked at each of the team, you pull Peter into a hug, him leaning his weight on you, “I’m not breaking up with this dork.”
“You’re not?” Vision questioned as you roamed your eyes to see furrowed eyebrows of confusion, “But, we heard you before-”
“For apparent nerds, you are really idiotic sometimes,” You mentioned as you felt Peter’s laughter rumble against your chest, “And I say that with much affection.”
“So, you’re not breaking up with the kid?” Sam asked, his arms folded over his chest.
“No-”
“Tragic,” Dr Strange had piped up as you narrowed your eyes at him, “Joking, obviously, we’re very protective of the youngest.”
“I know, but I can assure you that I am not breaking up with Peter,” You had let go of Peter, who sat up and leaned his head on your shoulder, “He was helping me run my lines for tomorrow, spoilers: It’s a breakup scene.”
“Oh,” The team had spoken in unison, soon their faces flushing in a crimson colour.
You suppressed a smile as you affectionately kissed Peter on his temple, “I love Peter too much to even think about leaving him.”
“Right,” Steve scratched the back of his head, “I guess we owe you an apology.”
“No need, spangle,” You waved him off, “Just a mistake, but please next time don’t assume our relationship, it’s, what’s a better word for-”
“Rude?” Peter offered as he sends the team a pointed look, who looked mildly embarrassed.
“So, you’re stuck seeing us still be in love,” You commented with a toothy grin with Peter had copied, the team had watched with great happiness.
“I guess we’ll leave you to it,” Tony said, awkwardly before sending both of you a wink as he started to loudly exclaim to evacuate the scene.
You couldn’t help but smile, appreciating how the team had great protectiveness of their youngest team member. You sighed in relief as the silence had once consumed the living room yet again.
“I’m sorry about them.”
You chuckled, shaking your head and pressing a kiss softly against his lips, smiling as you parted ways, “It’s okay, Pete, they care for you.”
“It’s annoying,” He whined as he collapses in your arms.
Falling back, you wrapped your arms around him as he snuggles closer to you. Your hand travelled to his prince charming hair and started to gently unknot the knots in his wavy hair.
“They love you, you know.”
“I know,” Peter sighs, shutting his eyes, “It’s overbearing, but I love them too.”
You softly laugh as you too shut your eyes, allowing the silence to consume you once again. Content in taking a slumber with your spider nerd in your arms.

Hello! You can make a fanfic about Karmi, you could write, please, a story where maybe her mother does not support her being a biotechnologist and they argue and she ends up in the bad-tempered lab and ends up talking to Honey or Baymax and about how her father is support. Thank you!
I was already planning on having Honey Lemon being the one to comfort her, but now that we know they get along, I’m even more excited about this!!
Needed Support
Fandom: Big Hero 6: The Series
Rating: K
Characters: Karmi and Honey Lemon
Word Count: 2,121
Summary: Honey Lemon comforts Karmi after she has an argument with her mother
“Why don’t you ever want to hear about myprogress at Sycorax?! I created a serum that cured Orso Knox and you barelyacknowledged that!
“You know how I feel about all this. You’rerushing into this bio-stuff too quickly. It wasn’t that long ago that you gotaccepted into SFIT and now you’re interning at some new business? You’re toocooped up in your labs all day.”
“Doing important research that will shape thefuture! All of this means so much to me and you don’t care! You never have!”
“I never said I didn’t care. I just think youneed to be smart about this. Don’t let all of this be the only thing you do inlife. There’s a big world out there. Make some friends…outside of yourviruses.”
 —
It may not have been their worst argument, butit wasn’t exactly the best start to Karmi’s morning. While having breakfastwith her parents, her father asked about her most recent work at Sycorax. Stillfull of pride to being an intern for Liv Amara, Karmi immediately went into detailabout how she, Liv and Chris managed to stop the Mayoi from attacking SanFransokyo. As she was telling this thrilling tale, she noticed how differenther parents’ reactions were.
Her father was fully invested; nodding andsmiling at what his daughter had to say. But each time she glanced over to hermom, she was either paying attention to the remainder of her breakfast orchecking the time on her watch. By the time Karmi was explaining how the serumwas made, she watched as her mother got up from her chair, hurriedly going intothe kitchen to wash off her plate. Instead of returning to the table to listento the rest of Karmi’s story, she went upstairs to grab her briefcase for work.
Her actions weren’t surprising to Karmi, but itleft an nagging pang in her chest. Nonetheless, she finished the conversationwith her dad who congratulated her on her hard work. He made sure to tell herhow proud he was, bringing a temporary smile to his daughter’s face.
It faded the second her mother came back downstairs, announcing that she was going to work. Karmi could admit now that she probablyshould have voiced her dismay over her mom’s lack of enthusiasm later thisevening. Yet, in the moment she decided to confront her about how she wishedshe would have been more engaged in the conversation rather than rushing off togo to work. It was admittedly a bit selfish on her part. She knew her motherworked hard to provide for the family. San Fransokyo traffic was unpredictable.Trying to talk to her about something like this when one foot was practicallyout the door wasn’t a wise move. Not only because her mom was in a hurryanyway, but also because they’ve had talks like this before.
Unlike her father, her mother rarely asked abouther schoolwork. When she asked how school was going, she was more curious aboutwhether or not she was making friends than scientific breakthroughs. She knewher mom meant well and wanted her to be more social, but that wasn’t a concernto Karmi. In the past, classmates tended to let her down, but science neverdid. Over her years of school, Karmi realized she didn’t need friends to makeher happy. She was perfectly content growing pathogens and now discoveringcures for the recent monsters that had been popping up in the city for whateverreason.
As anticipated, an argument followed. Neither ofthem raised their voices too high, but it ended on a sour note. Karmi’s momstormed out of the house, slamming the door on her way out. After trying tokeep her emotions from spilling over, Karmi rejected her father’s offer ofdriving her to school, preferring some alone time on a trolley.
The fight was still bothering her as she walkedonto campus. Karmi held onto herself, fingernails pressing against her arms. She was at a point where she knew tears weren’t going to fall, but anger stillbubbled in her veins. All she wanted was for class to be a decent distraction. To go to her lab later. To be alone. She had the feeling that it wouldbe a tense evening at home.
As she walked through the halls, she unknowinglypassed by the Nerd Lab. While doing so, she had paid no attention to who wascurrently exiting the room.
Honey Lemon absentmindedly hummed to herself.Being the morning person she was, she had already stopped by her lab to work ona project before her first class. With that done and none of her friends beingaround, she decided to get going to her class a little early.
When leaving the Nerd Lab, she happened tonotice Karmi passing by. Her face instantly lit up seeing the biotech genius. They hadn’t talked much since they cured Globby together.
“Hi, bio bestie!” She cheerfully greeted.
Karmi stopped walking. No. Not now. Of all thetimes for Honey to spot her in the hallway, why did it have to be now?
It’s not that Karmi didn’t like Honey Lemon. Sheenjoyed working with her when they found a cure for Globby. She was nice totalk to. She was friendly. Very friendly. At times, she was too bubbly andoverly optimistic, but she always meant well.
Her personality was something Karmi still wasn’tused to. She’s never been around someone as energetic as Honey. It didn’t takelong for her to figure out how fitting her nickname was. While a part of hercould admire her positive attitude, it was off-putting considering she’d ratherbe by herself.
Despite that, she didn’t want to be rude andkeep walking. Karmi could pretend she didn’t hear Honey, but that would onlyraise concerns. Forcing a small grin, Karmi turned to face the chemist.
“H-hi, Honey Lemon.” She raised a hand up togive her a little wave. Hoping that that would be all, Karmi quickly turnedaway.
The second she continued walking, she could hearthe heels of Honey’s shoes clicking in her direction. She caught up to Karmi, beaming down at the younger girl.
“It’s been awhile since we talked. What’s new?”Honey was going to eagerly wait for a response, but something about Karmilooked off. The way she clung onto herself and how her eyebrows were slightlyknitted together were huge giveaways that something was wrong. That on top withher looking away with a frown didn’t sit well. “Is everything okay?”
Again, Karmi stopped walking. She didn’t want toget into what happened earlier this morning. She wasn’t in the mood to vent toanyone. Especially someone she hardly knew. “I’m fine.” She lied, makingherself smile to ease Honey’s worries. “Just going to my lab.”
Unfortunately for her, Honey didn’t buy it. Shecould always tell when someone was feeling down.
“Hey, you can talk to me if you need to.”
“Really, I’m ok-”
“Karmi. You helped me when I needed it forfinding a cure for Globby. Now why don’t you let me help you?”
Karmi froze. She looked down at the floor, wondering if she heard Honey correctly. A fellow classmate offering help to herwas such a foreign concept. She was used to dealing with her problems on herown. To being ignored and invisible to those around her. Honey wanting tolisten to her troubles shouldn’t have been all that surprising. The older girlthought of her as a “bestie” after all.
While they got along great, Karmi still didn’tview Honey as anything more than a classmate. Maybe it was because she was goodfriends with Hiro. Maybe it was because they didn’t see each other much due tohaving different classes. But she knew Honey enough to know that she wasn’tgoing to let her walk off without an explanation.
“I just…got into an argument with my mom thismorning.” Karmi mumbled. “No big deal.”
Honey Lemon frowned. She was glad that Karmiopened up to her, but she could tell how much this was upsetting her. From thedeep scowl growing on her face to her fingers shaking as they clenched harderon her arms, she could tell it was bothering Karmi.
“Aw, I’m sorry to hear that. I’m sure you twowill work things out though.”
Karmi scoffed. “It won’t. We’ve had fights likethese before and they never get resolved. Anytime I talk about what I’m workingon either here or at Sycorax, she never wants to listen. She thinks I’m tooinvested in my studies and is more concerned about my social life.” Karmi letout a huge, frustrated sigh. “I’ve tried telling her that I’m more interestedin working, but does she listen? No.”
She still would have preferred her space, butventing was helping somewhat. Karmi could feel her tension easing, but it wasstill present. She didn’t know why she had decided to reveal so much personalinformation to Honey. She insisted on wanting to help, but would she care nowthat she knew? Or understand?
“I’m sure your mother cares about what you do,”Honey responded. “From the sounds of it, it seems that she wants you–”
“I know what you’re going to say,” Karmiinterrupted. The last thing she wanted was for Honey to finish her naive statement.“I’ve heard more times than I can count from her. ‘Make some friends.’ ‘Yourviruses aren’t much for company.’ ‘Staying in your lab all day isn’t good foryou.’” She remarked in a mocking tone. Pinching the bridge of her nose, shecontinued. “In her own way, she means well. That I understand too. I just wishthat when I talked about what I’m doing, she was more…attentive. That’s all. That’s not too much to ask for, is it?”
Honey gently reached out to Karmi, placing ahand on her shoulder. She flinched at first, but allowed herself to look upHoney. She was smiling, but it wasn’t the usual, cheery one she almost alwayshad. It was warm and comforting. Karmi’s shoulders lowered, her grip on herarms loosening.
“Of course not. Biotech is something you’rereally passionate about. It makes you excited and you want to share thatexcitement. I’m the exact same way with chemistry!” Honey exclaimed. “You dohave someone to talk to about all this, don’t you?”
Karmi nodded. “My dad. He’s always been sosupportive. I know that when I have something to tell him, he’ll listen andwant to know all sorts of details. He may not understand all the scientificjargon, but he always hears me out. He’s the best.” The smile that had made itsway on her face faded the second she thought about her mom again. “I don’tknow. I guess that’s what I want my mom to be like too. I don’t expect her toknow what I’m talking about, but it’d be nice if she was as intrigued as mydad.” “Well, maybe you should try telling her that.”
“…I-I’ve wanted to. But I don’t like arguingwith her. Why did I even bother trying to confront her this morning? I knewshe wouldn’t listen. It wasn’t a good time when she was trying to go to work.”
“Try telling her how you feel when it isa good time,” Honey encouraged. “When both you and her aren’t busy. Patchthings up. Maybe this is all some misunderstanding. If you’re both open andhonest, you should be able to find common ground.”
Karmi took Honey’s words into consideration. These days, talking to her mom was like pulling teeth, but perhaps Honey made agood point. When she argued, Karmi only mentioned what her mom seemed to notcare about. Things only escalated worse from there until one or both of themstormed off. She was tired of it. She was sure her mother was tired of it too. They needed to figure things out sooner or later. Sooner being the betteroption.
“Okay…I’ll do what I can.”
“That’s the spirit!”
Without warning, Honey wrapped her arms tightlyaround the biotech major. The embrace was suffocating, not to mention a littleembarrassing due to being in the halls. Karmi nearly forgot how much of ahugger Honey Lemon was. She had told Honey that she wasn’t a hugger before.Either that slipped her mind or she chose to ignore it in an attempt to comforther. Whatever the case was, Karmi reluctantly leaned into the hug. Maybe alittle support from someone else was needed after all.
“Thanks.”
I really like how this one turned out!! I definitely wanted to get this fic out and done before season 2 started, but I’m actually glad I didn’t. Season 2 gave me more stuff about Karmi to work with for this fic and since her and Honey get along so well, it made this even better imo!! I loved seeing their interactions in Nega-Globby!
I do hope that at some point in this series we get to meet Karmi’s family (as well as the nerd gang’s family PLEASE LET US MEET THEM!!!) While it’s hard to guess what Karmi’s family life is like, I do hope she has parents that love and care about her. I can see at least one of them being a little unsure about what she wants to do, but still approve of it at the end of the day. Only time will tell (possibly)
Anywho, I guess that’s it. Thanks for the request @ficsinhistory I really enjoyed writing it!! :D
