The lessons flow better? It doesn't feel like one arc is squished into two lessons and then you must immediately jump into another different arc. It feels like it's all just happening in a connected sequence?

Better pacing in my opinion. It doesn't feel rushed.... like the part where satan discovers cats and then later is seen still sitting next to the cat and watching it? It feels appropriately spaced out

MC's relationships with everyone doesn't feel isolated. Like earlier there'd be a lesson or two dedicated to one character and we won't see much of the other characters during it. Now it feels like everyone is there interacting with everything in a normal, natural way. Yes there are lessons dedicated to getting to know one brother but the others are there, interacting with each other and MC during that time as well

The emotions & relationships are discussed/written in a way that feels very real and believable that it becomes actually really moving (s1-s4 also did this well but in nightbringer because of arcs/scenes/relationships not being isolated, of things flowing better and having a better pacing, of them outright discussing their issues it has a greater impact - yes I cried more than once shut up)

In the end, Nighbringer is darker than og OM! but not in the "grrr gonna kill you" way. It's "darker" because they address more serious topics in depth

OM! Headcanons I think about at like 3 am

Simeon talks in his sleep. Like, almost every night. The topics range from spoilers for his next TSL book (Levi found that the hard way) to how Michael terrifies him. Solomon has a video of his late-night rambles, and it’s honestly endearing to see the angel babble away in his sleep.

Lilith used to bring lots of souvenirs from the Human Realm for all of her brothers, and each one cherishes whatever she brought for them. For Lucifer, it was a book, Mammon was given a wooden bead bracelet that she threaded herself, Levi got a set of paints made from seashells, Asmo was given the hand mirror that he always keeps on himself. Beel and Belphie have the most amount of gifts from Lilith.

The brothers learnt not to steal from Mammon the hard way. Once Levi, fed up with his brother’s stealing and selling of his items decided to take revenge on him by selling a wooden bead bracelet he found in the second-born’s bedroom, not knowing that it was the one given to him by Lilith after one of her Human Realm visits. It was one of the very few times that Mammon transformed into his demon form in rage and had to be held back by both Lucifer and Beel.

Dia adores butterflies ever since Barbatos took him to a butterfly garden in the Human Realm. The young prince did try to recreate it, but unfortunately, the Devildom butterflies were a little too cannibalistic for his taste.

Barbatos doesn’t really like people in his kitchen when he’s cooking or baking. The only exceptions to this particular thing are MC, Diavolo and Luke.

MC gets hounded by demons to make pacts with them after it is leaked that their magic is stronger than even Solomon. Now, based on their personality they either revel in the attention or shy away from it, but this makes Lucifer put in ‘security measures’. And by that I mean he had at least one of his brothers around MC or in their vicinity at all times. All of them are extremely territorial and do not appreciate lower demons coming up to MC to make pacts with them.

Satan and Lucifer are surprisingly more cuddly and loving with each other when they are drunk. Asmo has a video of a drunk Lucifer and Satan holding each other and crying with watching a compilation of kittens being cute. He has been sworn to secrecy by both brothers.

Belphie has an old elephant plushie that was given to him by Lucifer when he was young and wouldn’t go to sleep. It’s stashed between piles of clothes in his closet, but on especially bad nights, when his thoughts and self-doubts keep him up, he cuddles it to sleep.

you know it's bad when lucifer cries, and you know it's extra bad if he cries in front of someone

it was just a lot of stuff going on at the same time that got him, work, feeling like his brothers hate him, all that stuff

you walked in at the worst possible time and you expected him to send you away but that didn't happen

he just held you in his arms as if protecting you, mirrorring what he craves but can't ask for

Mammon

it would take something really heavy happening to get him to actually cry from sadness

and mammon is kind of embarrassed to let the tears flow in front of somebody, honestly especially you

but his need for comfort is stronger than his shame in that moment, so he lets you hold him

mammon will explain to you what happened when you hold him

Leviathan

he sometimes cries over 'little' things like an anime figure being sold out or a new volume of tsl coming out, those cries are pretty short

but this time levi started crying in front of you during game night, because there was a scene in the game that reminded him of his former pet snake

he was ashamed, but one second after being hugged by you he realised it's okay to need comfort

Satan

satan crying is a rare sight

sometimes he gets extremely angry, but he never cries in all of his rage

and honestly you never thought you'd see him cry until today when you walked in on him crying after he wasn't at dinner

satan probably won't tell you why he's upset but he'll let you comfort him (and as long as you don't tell anyone you saw him cry)

he'll instantly cheer up a little if you got cat videos or pictures on your ddd

Asmodeus

you've seen him cry before but it wasn't very serious, more like some fake sobbing to add life and emotion to his words

so you were kind of shocked when you walked into his bathroom to retrieve your robe but instead found asmo crying

and he does not like it when people see him cry one time solomon found him crying and he wiped his memory, but asmo fully trusts you

he'd like it if you were just there for him, he might not tell you what happened though

Beelzebub

he did cry over food before because it was so good or akudonald's ran out if cheeseburgers

but you knew it was serious when belphie was at your door at 6am asking for your help to calm beel (and maybe himself a little) down because he couldn't do it

turns out he had a dream about lilith and he got upset because she's not here anymore

there's not much you can do but having you and belphie around is a huge comfort

Belphegor

belphie crying is a rare sight as well, so you were shocked when he knocked on your door in tears

he was trying to sleep but all that was on his mind was the incident, the guilt was eating him and eventually he decided to come see you

you've never seen him so vulnerable, asking stuff like 'do you really forgive me?' when the incident happened long ago

he'd like to stay close to you until he's calmed down a little

Honestly have been having platonic yandere vampire au brainrot for the obey me brothers for so long....just a bunch of vampires looking at a human and just going "yup. You're coven now." And turning them whether they want to or not....

Oh vampire au! I don't think much about this particular au, but it's fun to write about.

Covens: Families or unrelated groups of vampires who live together.

Yandere!Vampire!Brothers who are very protective of the new human exchange student. They must protect the poor fragile human from the lesser vampires. Should any harm come to the human, they'll be answerable to Diavolo. They'll control their urge to suck out your blood, no matter how painful it be.

Yandere!Vampire!Lucifer who wishes to spend all his time with you, and as a result, makes you do your RAD homework in his room while he looks at you from his desk, under the pretext of 'keeping an eye on you'. He will ask you to prick the tip of your finger and put a drop of your blood in his teacup, just enough to enhance the flavour of his tea.

Yandere!Vampire!Mammon who is so sweet and clingly towards you, always sitting close to you in the class, walking you home to after school, wanting to take you out shopping as soon as he gets goldie again. What? He adores you so much! He'll accompany you everywhere he can because he doesn't think you can protect yourself from the lesser vampires. Just don't let his hand go okay? He will keep you safe!

Yandere!Vampire!Leviathan who is grateful for a friend who actually listens to him! He tries to keep your attention focused on him by engaging you in his video games, keeping you cooped up in his room by pulling all nighters watching anime and TSL. Whenever he mentions being thirsty you rush out to get him some water, but he wasn't referring to water now was he? You'll surely let him have a sip if he asks nicely right?

Yandere!Vampire!Satan who helps you out when you're in need. Your task is to write about vampire as a human being? Don't worry, he's there to help you. Let's study about the basis anatomy of a vampire first? Hours and hours spent in the library or his room, your nose buried in the books, while he relishes in your presence. He'll delibrately pick books written in ancient script so you're forced to take his help in deciphering them or he'll delibrately select books with sharper edges so that he gets to enjoy a little treat after you leave.

Yandere!Vampire!Asmodeus who can't help but drown himself in your affection. The online account he made for you has already reached millions of followers, thanks to yours truly. The two of you spend time filming videos to post and do online challenges together. Many people compliment the new blush he's wearing, asking him the brand name. He just smiles sweetly and he tells them "it's one of a kind". The blush being your blood stored in his little compact case.

Yandere!Vampire!Beelzebub who is worried the most out of all the brothers about your safety. Everyday he feels like he lost Lilith yesterday, but now that you're here, he wants to make sure he never repeats that mistake again. He'll hog you as much as he can and will definitely put you on a training routine to make you strong. He will purposefully stuff his mouth with more food when you're around, he really don't wanna hurt you.

Yandere!Vampire!Belphegor who bares his teeth when someone tries to wake him from his sleep, but if it's you then it is replaced with a gentle smile, persuading you to join him instead. Before he used to hang around the planetarium and the attic, but now he can be found dozing in your bed. He will ask you to cuddle up to him everynight, even invites Beel from time to time. Sleeps with a part of his pillow in his mouth, should his vampiric urges take control in his sleep.

Yandere!Vampire!Brothers who are shocked by the news of your return to the human world. You have completed your year as an exchange student, now you must return home.

"But can't you just stay here? With us? We will protect you from any and all danger, so don't leave, there is no reason to go back" Mammon's voice had a lining of desperation that the others sitting in the room could catch on. All the brother where gathered in the living room to convince you to stay. "It was nice spending time with each one of you, but the presence of a human for too long might upset the natural balance. Plus I have a family I have to go back to" That's it! A family!

Yandere!Vampire!Brothers who pursuade you to become a vampire, then you can be a part of their family right? They can always get another human for the exchange program, but you, no, you're special. You will live with them as a vampire if you can't as a human. You'll not be taking the place of Lilith, no one can, but you've made your own and you'll be a part of their coven. What? You refuse? It's okay, supper's almost ready and the sleeping power should be kept here somewhere......well you don't have to worry, they will take care of everything. From the transition to the struggle of containing one's lust for blood, they'll be there with you at every step of the way. You will outlive your human family, and then they will be your only family, whom you will live with forever....

What They Think Of You (Season 1): 💳Mammon💳

✦ I'd say we're all keenly aware of how annoyed Mammon was at having to babysit the Human Exchange Student. Lucifer is always pushing the menial work off to him, as if he's the only one with more important things to do!

✦ Well, at least you were being compliant and causing little inconvenience to him so far, but really, a whole year of this? Yeah, he was going to drop you as soon as he found the chance to…

✦ …And then you made a pact with him.

✦ Not one of his proudest moments, he will admit, but now he'll have to pay more attention to you, or else he'll just have another person yanking on his chain and telling him what to do! At least, that's what he wants everyone else to believe.

✦ Because admittedly, he was very curious about you. In most social situations you were anxious yet agreeable, but in the moments where you were alone with him, you'd quickly gain the confidence to tease and joke around with him.

✦ And so the first time he sees you genuinely smile and laugh, he already knows that he's a goner. His greed never lies, after all.

✦ And the TSL Showdown sealed the deal for him. He didn't want to see you hurt, because he was the one supposed to protect you, and no one else. You were his problem to take care of, and he was gonna make damn sure that everyone else knew that, including you.

✦ And somehow, despite his foolproof logic, you had seemed so surprised by his confession...

✦ He was willing to accept all the jabs, all the jokes, all the insults if it meant that you would start to rely on him the same way he was starting to rely on you.

✦ He didn't realise it at the time, but he really just needed someone who would accept him for who he was without the constant attacks on his character: A fresh pair of eyes that were able to see him for more than his outward bravado and scummy acts.

✦ You were kind to him, you defended him, and you really seemed to be fond of him.

✦ And his brothers would question why you would defend him so frequently, how you shouldn't feed into his ego when he was so clearly in the wrong, but you would always reason your way out of things. He really started to admire your steadfast and caring nature.

✦ As long as you were there alongside him, he would go just about anywhere and do almost anything that you asked.

✦ The whole Belphie situation left an indelible impact on him. Because first of all, his baby brother had been hidden away without them even knowing (which made him utterly pissed at Lucifer, though he didn't let it completely show.)

✦ And then what Belphie did to you…

✦ Even if you would ultimately end up alive after it all, he doesn't think he'll ever forget the sight of your dying body in his arms, and how it made him feel. He was mourning his human, and he couldn't bring himself to do anything else but sob.

✦ And like everything else in the aftermath of that situation, he just held his feelings back and tried to not let it affect him. Because you were Lilith's descendent, which suddenly made everything better apparently!

✦ …But that did make him wonder; if he felt like this, so distraught and racked with guilt over what happened, then what in all the Three Realms were you feeling?

✦ His brothers mocked him for his stupidity, and while he may get ahead of himself at times, Mammon was arguably the most emotionally mature of them all. It was just as the second eldest, he would hide his true feelings almost as much as Lucifer did.

✦ For the sake of his family, he played the clown. Partially because he was pretty stupid at times, but also because that's just how their family worked. And he was more than fine with that, because as long as his family stayed together, that's all that truly mattered to him.

✦ And guess what? You were part of the family now too: 🎉Congratulations!!! 🎉 So he just wanted to be there for you in whatever way you needed. Just as long as he could be with you, he would be happy.

✦ Just as long as he kept himself in check, and cared for you only as much as you did for him, he could hopefully keep his greed at bay…

The Hunter Becomes the Hunted

I have more ideas for Badass MC and have taken a lot of inspiration from Supernatural. This is slightly different, though, and focused specifically on a female MC. I might give this OC a name. If you have ideas for one let me know:

Armor Art

After Lilith was reborn into human form, as she matured, fragments of her celestial past began to resurface despite Diavolo's attempt to erase her memory. Memories of her time as an angel gradually returned, though the specifics of her rebirth remained elusive.

Over time, through relentless practice, she managed to rekindle some of her angelic powers, particularly her skill in summoning celestial weapons at will. Silently honing her abilities, she painstakingly learned to wield these gifts without endangering herself or others in her newfound human existence. With each passing day, her muscle memory gradually reawakened until she attained a semblance of mastery, adapting to the limitations of her mortal form.

As she reached adulthood, Lilith assumed the mantle of humanity's protector, driven by an enduring love for the beings she cherished. Vigilant against both angelic and demonic threats, she passed down her skills to her daughters, then their daughters, and their daughters, creating a lineage of guardians spanning generations.

However, as time marched on, the noble cause she championed began to fray at the edges, tainted by the relentless march of human ambition and pride. Dogma hardened into unyielding doctrine, and corruption seeped into the fabric of her legacy. And the power passed down waned, sealed away through the mixing of bloodlines.

Centuries after Lilith's passing, MC emerged into a world practically devoid of celestial or demonic presence. One of the lucky few over generations to have been born with the power to use weapon summoning. Armed with the techniques of her forebears, she displayed remarkable prowess and dedication from a tender age, assuming the mantle of hunter at a mere sixteen. Dispatching angels and demons alike, she began to question the righteousness of her cause. Why were these beings targeted? Had they truly committed wrongdoing, or were they merely puppets of human whims?

Years later, one fateful encounter with a young demon challenged MC's convictions. Confronted by the genuine fear and innocence in the demon's eyes, she hesitated, recognizing the injustice of her actions. Letting mercy guide her, she allowed the demon to escape, defying the expectations of her kin. But this act of compassion came at a cost — her status was revoked, and she was shunned from her family's legacy, her very existence erased from their annals.

In the present day, MC finds herself summoned to the Devildom, expecting retribution for her past deeds. To her surprise, the demons are oblivious to her lineage and history, and she resolves to keep it that way, having left her former life behind.

Despite her best efforts to suppress her instincts, a confrontation during the TSL quiz exposes her true nature. In a split-second decision, she defends herself against an enraged Levi, revealing herself to the stunned onlookers with a display of angelic weaponry. Though she spares him harm, the revelation leaves all present dumbfounded, questioning the depths of her secrets.

The dreaded day had arrived, and MC found herself standing in the council room facing Leviathan, whose smug expression grated on her nerves. She silently hoped to navigate through this ordeal swiftly, reluctant to escalate tensions with her new found companions. However, deep down, she knew that a confrontation was inevitable.

"Alright, everyone! Finally, the wait is over! It's time for Devil's Trivia Showdown, the quiz show that pits demon against human!" Asmo's melodious voice rang out.

MC couldn't help but smirk inwardly at the irony of his statement.

As Asmo continued his introduction, MC observed Leviathan's prideful demeanor, sensing his unwavering confidence in victory. She felt a twinge of guilt for what she was about to do, but she couldn't let his overconfidence go unchallenged.

"I am the G.O.A.T. None can oppose me!" Leviathan boasted.

"And his challenger claims to have been introduced to TSL only very recently after binge watching the DVDs! Say hello to MC!" Asmo declared.

With a polite wave and a small smile, MC acknowledged the introduction, mentally preparing herself for the impending quiz.

Leviathan's bluster and threats didn't intimidate her, and with each correct answer she provided, she could sense his frustration mounting, exacerbated by Satan's commentary.

When the moment came to reveal her trump card, Leviathan erupted into a rage, vehemently denying her assertion with a torrent of protests. Yelling that the Lord of Masks wouldn't do such a thing to the Lord of Shadow.

"Lies, all of it! Pure hogwash! Don't think you can fool me by making up random stuff like that!" he bellowed.

Interrupting his tirade, Diavolo interjected with a calm, observant tone, "Hmm. Actually, MC doesn't appear to be lying as far as I can see."

"Levi, you know as well as I do that Lord Diavolo has the ability to discern whether someone is telling the truth." Satan added.

Leviathan's protestations faltered, disbelief etched on his features as he struggled to reconcile his convictions with the truth before him.

"But...no...! Everyone online has been talking about how the Lord of Masks and the Lord of Shadow are totally going to make up... What you said CAN'T happen! It...it just CAN'T!"

Leviathan's transformation was swift. With a surge of dark energy, his form contorted and shifted, the air crackling with unsuppressed power. In an instant, his slender frame elongated and his features sharpened, his skin taking on a sheen of iridescent scales. Horns sprouted from his forehead, curving gracefully as his eyes blazed with a molten hue, reminiscent of lava that boiled the deepest reaches of the ocean. His serpentine tail thrashed and lashed out with erratic intensity, mirroring the agitated movements of a threatened serpent.

Leviathan lunged towards her, and time seemed to slow to a crawl. Despite the urgent warnings from Mammon to flee, MC's instincts held her firmly in place. With desperation coursing through her veins, she summoned her magic, a claymore materializing in her grasp while armor enveloped her body in a protective embrace.

Shifting her stance just in time, she deftly dodged to her left, using the flat side of the blade to intercept Leviathan's attack and push him away. The vibrations of his scales against the blade sent a shiver down her spine, and she silently prayed that she hadn't inflicted any harm, though deep down, she doubted her abilities to cause him significant injury.

As the claymore vanished, replaced by a shield and spear, MC turned toward her opponent and could feel the weight of everyone's gaze upon her. Her heart hammered in her chest, knowing that her true nature had been laid bare, and that she faced imminent danger.

Leviathan rose from where he had fallen, his rage palpable in the air. MC knew that her initial success had been a result of surprise, and she doubted her chances of repeating it.

"Please, don't force my hand," she pleaded. "I don't want this, but I'll defend myself if I must, even if I know the odds are against me."

The chamber fell into an uneasy silence, broken only by the ominous hiss of Leviathan's discontent. Before the tension could escalate further, Diavolo's commanding voice sliced through the air like a scythe.

"Stand down, Leviathan," he ordered, his authority brooking no dissent.

Leviathan's protests withered in the face of the Demon Lord's command, and all eyes turned to Diavolo as he addressed MC with measured scrutiny.

"Look at me," he commanded, and she obeyed, steeling herself for what was to come.

"So, you are a hunter," Diavolo stated matter-of-factly.

"I… yes, but no longer. I left that path behind years ago," she confessed, her words weighted with remorse and resignation.

It felt as though she stood on trial, offering her final confession before an inevitable reckoning.

"Were you ever going to tell us?" Mammon's voice cut through the tension, his hurt palpable.

MC sighed heavily, her gaze shifting between the assembled figures. "No. I wanted nothing more to do with it."

"Why?" Diavolo's question hung heavy in the air, demanding honesty.

"Because our purpose had been twisted from protecting humanity's free will to become senseless slaughter," she admitted, her voice tinged with regret. "I won't deny that I took pride in it in the beginning. The ego boost from besting entities who were supposed to be far more powerful than I was intoxicating. It wasn't until my hands were stained with the blood of many angels and demons that I realized what it was I was truly doing."

As she allowed her weapons and armor to dissipate, MC's gaze fell to the floor, heavy with the weight of the lives lost by her hand. Faces of beings flashed before her eyes — some had fought fiercely, others had surrendered, while some had never even seen her coming.

"The more I came into contact with them, the less I could see them as mere creatures to be culled for humanity's protection," she confessed. "They were people, with wants and fears, individuals who had been born into their roles without choice. They had no control over which realm they were born into. They had feelings, desires, just like I did. And most had been summoned to the human realm against their will, called forth by humans seeking blessings or curses. From then on, I let mercy guide me."

"For that," she continued, her voice growing faint, "my sisters in arms cast me out, wiping my name from our history."

Mammon's features twisted with a mixture of hurt and disbelief as MC's confession unfolded before them. His eyes, wide with shock, darted between her and the others in the chamber, struggling to reconcile the image of his friend being a hunter. A pang of betrayal pierced his heart, as if the ground beneath their bond had shifted. Yet, beneath the hurt, there lingered a glimmer of understanding, a recognition that there was more to MC's story than met the eye. Despite the tumult of emotions swirling within him, Mammon's gaze remained locked on MC, silently conveying his unwavering support and the hope that their bond would endure.

Lucifer's stoic facade remained unyielding, though a flicker of suspicion danced in his steely gaze. His keen mind worked overtime, dissecting her words for any hint of deception or ulterior motive. The revelation only served to validate his lingering doubts about MC, solidifying his belief that her presence among them was fraught with hidden agendas. His eyes narrowed ever so slightly, a subtle indication of the wariness that had plagued him since their first encounter. He made a mental note to keep a closer eye on her, his resolve to protect his brothers from any potential threat only strengthened by her confession.

Satan's eyes gleamed at the promise of uncharted knowledge, his mind ablaze with a myriad of questions, each craving to unravel the enigma of her past and the intricate motivations of her order.

"How is it that your 'sisters' managed to elude discovery for so long?" he inquired, his voice laced with curiosity. "Centuries of clandestine hunts on both celestial and infernal fronts surely would have left a mark. When did this begin? And who was its progenitor?"

MC hesitated, her uncertainty stemming from the lingering remnants of spells that had once bound her to silence.

"Our origins trace back to a single woman, though her identity remains unknown to me," she revealed. "Details of her existence were obscured, relegated to forbidden archives. What I do know is that each of us is a descendant of hers, inheriting not only her lineage but also her magic. I am the first in three generations to manifest this magic, however. The dilution of our bloodline has dimmed the genes potency."

A mix of astonishment and relief bloomed in her chest, a surge of liberation coursing through her veins. She had shattered the shackles of secrecy that bound her, reclaiming her voice after years of silent submission.

Undeterred, MC forged ahead, her loyalty to her sisters eroded by the passage of time. "As for our concealment, with each entity vanquished, we acquired new arcane arts, using them to cloak our existence and our elders used them to enforced our silence. Moreover, our armor veils our very souls, rendering us indistinguishable to both demon and angel when not in the field."

Diavolo cut in, prompting MC to look at him.

"Why reveal this now?" he pressed.

"Because I dedicated countless hours to unraveling the bindings that once tethered me," she declared, her tone resolute. "I refused to remain ensnared by chains that held no sway over me any longer."

Satan's contemplative gaze bore into MC before posing his next question, "How is that a meer human like yourself, magic aside, has been able to overpower angels and demons?"

"As I'm sure you know," she began, "angels and demons are inherently weakened when traversing the human realm. Some magics draw upon the energy of their respective realms, and when removed from that source, they become vulnerable to manipulation and restraint. This vulnerability applies primarily to lesser demons and angels. However, it's important to note that our tactics would prove practically useless against beings such as yourselves or the Archangels. Hence, why you have never been targeted."

Barbatos maintained his serene composure. He regarded her with a knowing gaze. His powers had afforded him a unique perspective. Though he had been privy to MC's past as a hunter, only sharing his discovery with the demon lord, Barbatos had seen no cause for concern. In his eyes, her journey had been one of growth and redemption, and he quietly observed her honesty in this moment with quiet approval.

Diavolo's cheerful demeanor returned. Barbatos' subtle encouragement had indeed led him to ponder the implications of MC's past. Yet, rather than rushing to judgment, he had chosen to reserve his conclusions until after getting to know her better and her honesty in this solidified his trust in her. In his eyes, compassion and understanding were the cornerstones of effective leadership, and he applied this principle not only to his fellow demons but also to humanity.

Diavolo's laughter filled the room, resonating with a warmth that belied the gravity of the moment. "Thank you for your honesty. It's clear to me that you've been truthful. I'm delighted to say that you truly were the perfect candidate for the exchange program."

Gasps of astonishment reverberated from the others, even Lucifer's usually composed facade cracked with surprise, while MC stood in disbelief, her jaw nearly hitting the floor.

"You knew?" she stated, shock written across her face.

"Of course," Diavolo replied with an unwavering smile. "We took great care in selecting participants for this program, ensuring the safety and integrity of all involved. I must say, I'm impressed by your ability to keep it hidden for so long, and equally surprised that others hadn't noticed your familiarity with certain subjects."

"But why keep it a secret?" MC questioned, her confusion evident. "Wouldn't it have been simpler to address it from the outset?"

"While it may have been easier, it wouldn't have fostered growth or understanding," Barbatos interjected, prompted by his lord to offer insight. "Your past is best shared by you, the one who lived it. Each person's perspective shapes their understanding, and by witnessing your emotions and reactions, we've all gained a deeper understanding of this aspect of humanity allowing us to cultivate better relations in the future."

MC stood in stunned silence, her emotions swirling in a chaotic whirlwind of relief, confusion, and disbelief. She struggled to find the right words to express the myriad of feelings coursing through her, her mind reeling from the unexpected turn of events.

"I honestly expected you to throw me into a pit of fire after killing some of your people," she finally managed to voice.

Diavolo's laughter filled the room once more, echoing with a warmth that washed over her like a comforting embrace. "While the loss of my people is indeed a tragedy, it's important to remember that those of us gathered here have all taken lives in the past," he remarked, his tone gentle yet resolute. "It would be hypocritical for any of us to pass judgment on you. Besides, I have full confidence that you no longer harbor any intention of causing harm to anyone."

As the weight of Diavolo's words settled over the room, a sense of peace descended upon MC. She felt a burden she had carried for so long begin to lift from her shoulders.

With a grateful nod, MC found her voice once more. "Thank you," she said. "For seeing beyond this and giving me the chance to prove myself.

Diavolo's smile widened, and with a final glance around the room, MC let out a deep breath. She was ready to embrace this change and embark on the next chapter with courage and resilience.

This got weird toward the end because I'm tired and have only slept 6 hours in the last 24. I may or may not do one more chapter that includes relationship changes with the brothers and the introduction of Simeon, Luke, Solomon, and of course Belphie and their reactions to her past. It really depends on how im feeling, and if I still have the urge to write. this whole thing probably sucks if im being honest.

Ch 16 wasn’t the first time we traveled back in time

And I'm not talking about NB

Theory time! (And a little rant)

Too much text incoming

What if I tell you that the timeline that we see in cannon (specifically S1) wasn't the first time we lived that year? What if we repeated that year over and over until it came right, not for us (and definitely not for the neckless MC that died in Mammon's arms) but for Diavolo?

You don't believe me? Well, I have a theory...

In multiple times, the brothers had told us that "they wouldn't do something like that for a random human".

But they had, indeed, showed too much attention and attraction to a random human. (Yes, MC isn't completely human but if Angel!Lucifer couldn't see what they were, they just saw a random human with a nice soul). Some of them didn't do pacts at all.

Even Lucifer was flirting with MC (in the form of dead threats like a good demon 😈)

What if that was the remanant of the feelings that they built in the previous time-lines?

But Barbatos vowed to never use his powers... Wrong!

Yes, he vowed to never see the future again... For himself. Diavolo can have totally control over them, over Barbatos. He's his butler and he has vowed to serve him. If assuring the succes of the exchange program (the first step to Diavolo's dream of interdimensional peace) wasn't important enough to use his power, when could they use it?

Barbatos already used his powers in front of everyone in ch16. But... Wasn't too ideal that he knew that MC only needed 5 pacts? As if... He already saw them open the attic before? How did he knew he needed to warp time? Because I'm not going to buy that he leaded MC to Mammon's room by accident. How did they knew (or even suspect) that MC were descendant of Lilith? (And that we could revive magically by her).

Barbatos, ordered by Diavolo, rewinded time and time again that year for assure that neither of the exchange students died in that year (any dead could mean war, depending of how good is the relationship with the Celestial Real. We already saw the threats that Michael send to Diavolo through Simeon in S2).

And like a cerise in a cake, end that annoying and dangerous 'hate for humans' of Belphegor. (And assure again the loyalty of all the brothers for Diavolo at letting them know the reason behind Lucifer's pact was to save their sister)

All ended too good for Diavolo. But for achive that, MC had to gain the affection of the brothers, little by little, or one by one. By the time the cannon is happening, Barbatos already knows what to do without seeing the future...

Of course I'm not saying that all the pacts were for his direct intervention. Mammon's and Satan's were for prophecies (arguably Levi's. When have you seen Barbatos left something dirty for more than 5 seconds? But he wasn't in Levi's competition, so Mammon slipped... but that could be thinking too much) but he helped planning the retire for doing Asmo's pact (remember that they are very close friends, how could he not know how to push his buttons? He could even ask Solomon to lend MC his magic if he wasn't planning it).

And of course, probably that's how they knew about the prophecies of TSL (and why Diavolo avoided the final act, and made Simeon rewrite it), seeing things that no matter what he did, there were thing that always happened. Not in the same way, but inevitable and unavoidable things.

Now! For finishing this :

We all know how OM like to insert the media (normally Levi's animes and games) with long and uncannily titles that adjust too perfectly to the situation they are living.

Poor MC with so many prophecies in their life, I don't know how they aren't paranoid in all their elections.

So... Diavolo said this in a chat.

The actual theory

There were routes. Bad ending routes. We died many times, and in at least one we survived thanks to friendship Lilith's magic and freed Belphegor (in the same or separate timelines). We said what she told us, but something was incomplete, something was wrong and we died again.

Then Barbatos did the little things that could done to be sure that we made the pacts. The moment MC had the 5 pacts, an MC from another timeline came, opened the attic and returned to their timeline (because this Barbatos wasn't an asshole and made the portal door close to the attic).

Belphie, Beel and MC go to PH.

Belph is a prisoner.

MC didn't die.

Lilith doesn't tell them their message (No good Belphie here 😔 only hate).

Then, as things weren't as good as they could be, Barbatos decide to... Expand his options, bending time. How? Well... Being an asshole Making MC to change the past.

He knows MC has to die to "speak" with Lilith and a Belphie filled with blame of killing 'a part of' Lilith again is a good Belphie. A Belphie that won't start a masacre or war in the human world. So, he sends MC to Mammon's room, directly to the past brothers (why risk that MC could be sneaky enough to avoid them in the Hall? Throw them directly to them!) And the rest is history...

So... The questions that we all are thinking (or at least me)...

Will OM! Music Nightbringer give us that bad ending routes?

Will they connect that past-timeline with the present OM, doing this theory semi-accurate or completely wrong?

Will they finally explain the limits of Barbatos' powers? Or is he an ancient god without limits?

Were Mammon's instantly crush in MC product of a past timeline that neither of them remember?

Were Diavolo and Barbatos assholes? Yes

Will Simeon fall?

Will I ever overcome my ADHD and procrastination and write a fic about this theory?

Did I overthink too much an Otome game?

- Fallen for a human man when visiting the human realm

- Caught for attempting to changing her human lover’s lifespan by taking the forbidden fruit

Lilith Survive The Great Celestial War/ Fallen Angel Lilith

- Lilith moved a bit trying to dodge the arrow, it struck on her arm. Caught her off guard she fell.

- Her white feathers turn black as horns painfully grew out of her head.

- During her fall, she can only think about her human lover and her brothers. She never get the chance to give the fruit to him nor have the knowledge if he was cured or dead. She feel ashamed of her self for dragging her brothers into the war

- And here’s the thing, since Lilith has survived the war in this AU, Lilith and Mc are NOT related!

Life in Devildom /Demon Lilith/ The Celestial Catalyst

- After the war, Lilith shut herself out once she has her room in the House of Lamentation, isolating herself from her brothers. Couldn’t bear to see their face without feeling guilt. Too scared to see them .

- She felt that her brothers resent towards her for being the catalyst of the war.

- She hasn’t come out of her room ever since unless her brothers all went to sleep, she’ll roam around and grabs food and drinks to take it to her room.

- Usually shut herself in her room painting and reading.

- Until centuries and years has gone by, she discovers video games and anime. She grew curious after listening to her 3rd eldest brother, Leviathan, rambles about a series called “The Tales of the Seven Lords”.

- Ever since then, she becomes obsessed with video games and anime as well!

- Just like Leviathan, Lilith is a hikikomori

Online Persona : MidnightXSirius

- Lilith became attached to the Internet that had made herself an online persona, she goes by MidnightXSirius

- She started as a TSL fan page account, gushing and commenting about her favorite characters!

- Until later on she discovers about digital art!

- She then made an alternate account for her to post her artwork, wether it’s fanart or original artwork! She then later became a freelance artist! (Now she can use her money instead of Lucifer’s—)

- She also owes a gaming channel! Too embarrassed to show her face, she rather kept her face and voice hidden. She edited her videos through text to speech, replacing her voice which require heavy editing!

First Encounter

- After Lucifer led MC back to their room, Mc couldn’t help but to be curious about the staircase. They couldn’t sleep. How could they not? Their curiosity is eating them alive! And so they wait until they get out of their room. However just before they can get to the staircase

- Some light noises can be heard from the kitchen, their curiosity had now turn to the kitchen. What was that? Would that be Beelzebub?

- Sneaking their way to the kitchen, they took a peek and saw a figure, rummaging through the fridge.

- That is not Beelzebub.

- No. This figure appears that they have long hair and Mc recalled that the brothers don’t have any longer hair.

- A thief? Is this person stealing food?!

- What the hell are they going to do? They can’t tell Lucifer about that! He’ll get suspicious about why they’re not in their room!

- And certainly they can’t ask Mammon. They’re not close and it seems that Mammon doesn’t like them, not even considered to be an acquaintance!

- Asking the rest of the brothers are out of the question! They’re not comfortable with talking to them!

- With no options, MC took a deep breathe and entered the kitchen sneakily.

- Well it seems that Mc realized that their stealth wasn’t good because the floor creak.

- The figure quickly lifted their head up, in a high alert state, they look everywhere until their sight is on MC.

- With the refrigerator open, the dim light shows the mysterious figure. A person with a feminine face, dark skin with moles adore their face. The color of their hair was uncertain due to the light but it’s seems more of a greyish color with a hint of blue

- Blueish greenish eyes widen in shock at the sight of MC. “Eek!!” Shutting the door of the fridge quickly, the mysterious “person” scrambled their way out through the kitchen

- Mc stood there dumbfounded, they’re relief that they’re not attack.

- Looks like they’ll have to ask Mammon in the morning…Goodness gracious…

Simeon’s Demotion (HC + Theory)

The other day I was re-reading some of the lessons and noticed something interesting.

Simeon used to be a seraph, which is considered the highest rank for angels in the Celestial Realm. However, something happened that made him lost that rank to the point he is introduced to us as an archangel.

Its hard to draw conclusions since we don't really have a solid timeline of the events that led to the Celestial war and afterwards. But we can imply the possibility of him losing his rank was due to something related to it.

For example, we hear from Belphie that life was peaceful in the Celestial Realm now that the war was over, and it seems unlikely for angels to get into troubles to the point of demotion just because. Thus, when Lilith disobeyed God's commands their immediate solution was to end her.

I find it hard that Simeon, who is very much shown to fear God's disapproval will do something reckless enough to get him demoted. Yet there had to be a reason.

What if the reason was Simeon's disobeying not God's orders but another seraph orders? Perhaps once the Celestial war started he was made to choose a side, and he refused to fight against his brothers. Thus making Michael, or someone else, suggest Simeon's demotion. Specially since its implied angels are promoted by recommendations or the word of other angels rather than just by their power.

Simeon's neutrality was enough to get him demoted but not enough for him to be considered a traitor and fall with them. Perhaps Lucifer didn't know about this and that's why he treated Simeon coldly at the start, or maybe his pride made him dislike that Simeon didn't have enough guts to choose a side.

Another posible reason for Simeon's demotion could be the discover of him being the creator of TSL. I find this rather unlikely since it seems not many people know about this. But its a possibility.

TSL seems like a way for Simeon to cope with the brother's fall. As far as we know, the lords are not shown as evil monsters but misunderstood main characters who thrive to do what they think is good.

Perhaps writing TSL was a protest, Simeon trying to express the unfairness of it all, while keeping his brothers in his memory, without actually going against God's orders. And since the Celestial Realm acts like a totalitarian government, the idea of having a seraph -from all angels- write in a good light about the 7 angels that fell from heaven after starting a revolution against God, could be reason enough to demote him.

Who knows.

nightbringer notes

- surprise guests presents are far less often, i think only 3 per day

- intimacy seems to give nothing and has been broken constantly resetting. i dont think theyve given us any apology reward for it either despite it being in a bug update. they possibly give phone calls but again. Games broken

- its easier to quickly earn dp through levels

- there are more daily tasks to do which makes it more gridning to earn daily dp

- item unlocks are now labeled in devils tree

- asmoxsatan has become one sided canon... which is. Great. :/

- asmo seems to be pushing in a non li direction, and has been completely turned into creep who wants to fuck satan. i thought this game was about fixing problems with the original story?

- things are getting retconned such as asmo and solomons pact being formed hundreds of years before it happened in the original timeline. yet solomon tells mc not to mention theyre from the past because it could "mess up space time continium" okay.

- luke is somehow alive

- no one seems to be mourning lilith until like chapter 10. despite it being so hard on belphie he kills mc in the original timeline, thousands of years later

- satan hates everyone

- mc basically is the reason for everyones early character development including introducing levi to tsl, which has somehow already been written, giving the brothers their rulers of the underworld status

- the brothers dont seem interested in mc at all, who kisses them which does raise their affection, however outside of mammon its never mentioned again (yet)

- theres more information on diavolos dad the demon king, michael, and lilith

- ruritunes are fun and easy. much easier than other rythm games as even if you get a nice as long as you dont outright miss the note you will maintain your combo

- while it seems easier to get through battles i fear in the long run it will be the same. as cards are harder to level, see below

- instead of being able to level the full card (minus leveling up skills) with just one card, you can now only 3 ☆ a card before you have to use multiple karma (?) to increase your skill level to unlock each ☆ level. i honestly have no clue how this system works nor do i have the patience to learn.

- it seems that the only way to get the cards (called jokers) needed to unlock skill levels is through raven, which is now nearly impossible to earn lots of. so far ive made 100s of dp playing, but only 19 raven. you cannot buy raven, which makes it seem like youll have to play the gatcha multiple times to get good cards.

- because of this although the game is seen as more easy to progress in than the original obey me, i presume as time goes on the battles will only get harder, and the cards are already incredibly difficult to level up. with the original game although you needed to do a lot of grinding, and battles werent as fun as ruritunes, it was easy to get to the end, so long as you were dedicated to logging in and read battle guides. now its up to gatcha luck and if you are skilled at rythm games, which isnt as easily learned as a original game battle strategy.

- all voice clips are redone, i presume with the same vas, however they all sound like youtubers trying to minic the official dialogue especially mammon, who sounds like a 12 year old boy with a chest cold

- the game is incredibly buggy which makes sense given it was pushed up to be released months earlier than intended (sept 2023)

- ur+s are easier to obtain as you can get multiple pieces from early hard lessons. ur+s no longer contain animations

- the ur+s being easy to obtain makes me suspect they will be releasing higher ranked cards as gatcha games typically do after a while to increase difficulty and gambling

- there are seemingly no longer daily chats

- you are not allowed to record fabsnaps (in game tiktoks) as the screen goes black

- the chats, phone calls, and friendship ap swapping is all in the same place, the decomm app

- you have to unlock the hard lessons to get all akuber locations, specifically you have to go to level 10 hard, which in order to get cards high enough you need the items in akuber (you can do it other ways)

- they still havent officially announced that theyre "decontinuing" the original app, leading to players still paying and grinding for the upcoming lessons thinking that theyll be doing that. they wont

- as i was writing this it told me a new nightmare was avalible. i tried to open it, even restarted the game but it doesnt show up for me at all, its 8pm and this is when they normally release them so i doubt it was a misclick, i just... literally cant see the nightmare

- upon release of the game they already had a 3000dp/160$ usd charge card mission, preying on gambling addicts and new players who think its a good deal

- you have to pay dp to unlock more comment options and emojis for fabsnap

- the 3d models are horrifying

- theres a new video call feature, which is also horrifying

- the fact the wanderers whereabouts episodes are called situations is hilarious to be. put that beast in a situation

- overall, the story is heartbreaking and nerve racking for orginal fans but i guess its fun if youre a new player, since theyre marketing this game to you, and not people who have already spent 100s to 1000s or more in this game

- cards are non transferable but apparently there will be co-events on both games. i have no idea how this will make sense plot wise to people in the original app, or vice versa

- the brothers now wear their demon outfits for the main story, with their casual outfits being up for sale for 300 raven in exchange raven mirroring the original game

- items in exchange raven are now limited, where as previously you could buy as many as you want, now you are limited to so many per month

- the ui is much more slick and futuristic

annnddd thats it at least for now. be sure to rb and add anything youve noticed. i kept it story lite cuz the story makes me literally nauesous but im up 2 date as well

I got struck with a small angst idea recently which might be a bit heavy, and i apologise for that : , MC gets struck with a sudden existential crisis. They've experienced death, but never anything beyond. They know of the celestial realm and devildom, of course. But they've never died long enough to experience either. The concept of the after life frightens them as they don't know what would actually happen. And I just really want to see how the brothers would react to their normally calm and collected MC get struck by this sudden dread, their thoughts coming out as word vomit while spiraling.

lucifer will offer you a glass of water and hush you in an attempt to stop your racing mind

if you want to, he'll hold you close to his body

lucifer will try to answer whatever question you have about the afterlife, since he's lived in both the devildom and celestial realm, but he has never died before either, so he doesn't know how accurate his answers are

he just wants you to feel a bit more at ease

Mammon

he thinks he can fix the situation with some jokes and laughter at first

then, he realises the matter is much more serious than he first thought

mammon didn't expect this behavior from you at all, it took him by surprise

but, his protective instinct kicked in

he'll sit you down somewhere, take your hand in his, and ask you what's wrong

when you tell him, he doesn't know how to respond, but he's fixated on easing your mind, so he'll tell you something about his experiences as both a demon and an angel, hoping it somewhat helps you

Leviathan

levi really isn't the best at comforting people

instead, he'll try to distract you

by playing a game, watching an anime or reading some tsl, anything really

but, levi quickly realises his tactics don't work this time

he honestly knows how you feel, he's experienced existential crisises before too, and what he remembers from those is how much he needed a hug and somebody to tell him everything's okay

so, shoving all shyness aside, levi does just that to you

Satan

your sudden breakdown takes satan by surprise, he is great at reading others, therefore he did not expect this from a usually composed you

if you are very deep into the pit of panic, satan will do some breathing exercises with you

he'll try to answer any questions you have as accurately as he can using his books, hoping it helps you

afterwards, satan takes you to a cat cafè, in the hopes to prevent you from falling back

Asmodeus

he takes you to his room, and asks you what's wrong there

you try to explain everything to him as he runs you a warm bath, with your favorite scents

he helps you get into the bath while you tell him you're scared of what will happen after you die

asmo hasn't thought about that question before, he assumed things would pretty much remain the same

but, to reassure you, he said: 'well, one thing will always stay the same: my love for you'

Beelzebub

teddy bear mode activated

unless you don't want to be touched, he will hug you and won't let go until you verbally tell him you feel better

he'll give you your comfort foods to calm you down so you can speak properly again

when you eventually tell him what's wrong, he kind of relates to your words

the fear he felt during the war, how much he wonders where lilith is right now, he felt similar to how you are feeling right now

but, he got better, therefore so will you

'I don't know what's next, but I know you'll be okay'

Belphegor

all he feels is guilt

if he hadn't killed you, you wouldn't be feeling like this right now, correct?

he hates the fact that he's still making you suffer with his past actions

he apologises before even attempting to comfort you
