So, I was sitting here thinking about Victor and Yuuri's wedding, as you do, when it occurred to me. That damned stripper pole is gonna make an appearance. I know it is. I see it. In my mind. Dose Chris carry that thing around like he's a secret BO staff fighter and he will dance off to save the world? This boy is a bard. He's a sexy dance bard. Bet he can stomp in 6 inch heals.

Anyway, that's not the point.

The point is, Otabek will not be caught dead doing that. 1: flexibility is not his strong suit and he knows it. Let others have their fun He's just be in the background contemplating the physics of it. 2: That is something he will *never* be suckered into because he knows they take photos. Nope. Big Nope.

But what he will do, as requested, is DJ the dance floor for the after party. Which means Yuri will not get to dance with him. Which is sad. EXCEPT. My head did a thing.

See, Otabek would totally be that one completely responsible, fire putting out, fixes stuff by walking thrugh a room and just correcting it person every wedding has. Even if all he does is direct the right person where they need to go so they can put out said fire. Takes a team, but the observant notice where they need to be. (I have been to so many weddings and I am telling you there is always ONE person who makes it all better by existing and OnE pErSoN who fucks it by by breathing.)

And like, I got so many head cannons about this. See, he wears a cravat, proper, for his competitions. Guess who's being tasked (along with Chris) to deal with people who cannot tie ties. Basic will not do. We're talking Fancy Tied Ties. FANCY. Yes, both Chris and Otabek can do these to perfection.

Guess who has to stop Yuri from climbing a wall when he's stressed because Yuuri is stressed and that makes Victor want to go comfort him, but he can't because he has to get ready for the wedding himself, and Yuri is supposed to stop Victor but Victor listens to no man save Yuuri and that's a mess he's tried to explain but no one seems to get but Otabek.

Guess who has to braid Yuri's hair to calm him down. Then has to tell Yuuri's mom - who is doing something else important at the time - what's up so it can be dealt with. Then has to deal with helping Yuri find where he threw his shoes in a rage.

Guess who has to go pick up the classic car they left to get detailed the day before instead of three days prior like he suggested and it may not be here on time because the delivery driver for it can't get anyone to drive him back, so he has to go and get it to the sight on time for when they 'go away' on the honey moon drive which is actually just a drive around the island so the pack of feral ice skaters can reset the scene for the after party. This doubles as having to pick up the wedding cake, and triples as getting Yuri out of there for a little bit so he can chill under the guise of holding the cake steady so it wont be ruined.

Guess who holds the ladders when they hang up flower decor because someone forgot they cannot en pointe to breach that last three inch gap between them and the hook for the flower arrangement. Seriously, you're gonna hurt yourself.

Guess who just sort of lugs boxes where they need to go with out a problem, and in general dose the dirty work quietly with everyone else, letting them set up - the fun part - while he considers this a light cardio day. Still shows up fresh and looking good, because of course he does.

And then he DJs and dose killer because you know he will, and everyone's having fun. All worth it.

But Yuri doesn't get to dance with him, and that's bothering Yuri, so Yuri hangs out with Otabek as he cleans up his set. Everyone else has decided to tear things down the next day. Not him. This shits expensive and he's not going to risk it.

And because Yuri pouts about it, Otabek sighs, grabs his hand, and with no one around just twirls Yuri's ballet doing ass about that floor in ways he's never danced before. Because while Otabek is not cut out for ballet, he dose dance. Far more varieties than Yuri. Lifts, spins, dips, twists. It's fast, and energetic, stuff to make Rodgers and Hammerstein drool. Then he just leaves Yuri drop jawed as he just walks back to his kit and finishes packing it up.

Yuri jumps on his back complaining all the way back to the place they are staying as he clings there like a particularly angelic daemon of a backpack about how dare Otabek hold out on him like that, and dose he think he can translate that to ice so Yuri can use it to kick JJs ass because he has to kick JJs ass, and also because that was so cool.

Otabek just shoulders his kit and says, "Maybe," but smiles just that little bit, until the lights show they are in range of people, his mask slipping back in place as he takes a sleepy Yuri to his room, dropping off his kit, and going to sit outside in the cool island air as an exhausted blond falls asleep still clinging to his back until he slides off from tired.

Otabek catches him. He always will. After a bit he takes him inside, and the rest of the party goes on... oh look. Chris did get out the stripper pole. Shaking his head, he continues to take care of Yuri before he wakes up from the tantalizing sent of possible blackmail pictures in the making. Because he would.

A sleep derived Yuri is a grumpy Yuri, and a grumpy Yuri just wont do.

Dancing, music, and laughter.

The Yule Ball was a smashing hit at Hogwarts. The Kiddiewinks were downing butterbeers while having a mini dance circle amongst themselves. Heels were long forgotten as soon as most of the formal dancing was over. Everyone is having a good time, letting themselves get lost in the night and remembering to be young.

You haven’t been this happy in a long time. Your cheeks hurt from how much you were smiling throughout the night. You never considered yourself to be a dancer, but you found yourself dancing almost the whole time. Lino even asked to slow dance with you, something the two of you haven’t done since you were kids. It was wonderful to see Marina and Changbin flirting with each other, especially when they have been secretly pinning on one another for some time now. Annaliese ditched Viktor right after the Champion’s dance. You and Chris, well, you two have been glued to the hip the whole night. He made sure you were not drinking too much butterbeer and hydrated with water. He was showing you how wrong you were about him.

After some time, the group started to drift to their respected dorms. Surprisingly, you stayed with Chris. The two of you were sitting watching people dance. “Alright everyone. We wanted to thank you again for coming tonight! We are going to close the night with one more slow song. So, grab your date and let’s have one more dance.”

Chris finishes his cup of water before standing in front of you, holding out his hand, “Will you have the last dance with me?”

You look up into his dark brown eyes, the stars shining in them. “I would love to,” you smile, taking his hand for him to move you to the dance floor. Chris places his hands on your waist as you wrap your arms around his neck. A soft slow song plays in the background, but you don’t pay attention to the music.

“Thank you,” you say.

Chris cocks his head slightly, “Why are you thanking me?”

You shrug your shoulders, “I haven’t felt this free in a long time, and I wasn’t going to come to the Ball without a date. So.. thank you for asking me. I’ve had lots of fun with you Chris.”

Chris’ cheeks turn pink, “Of course. I’ve had fun with you, too, Y/n.”

He takes one hand off of your waist to take one of your hands and spin you, your dress flaring as you turn. A giggle escaped your lips as you collided back to Chris’ arms. Everything felt so magical.

Chris’ eyes were diverted to the window, the moon shining brightly into the Grand Hall. “Let’s go outside,” he suggests.

You agree and put your heels back on. Walking next to him, you noticed that you were only just a tad bit shorter than him. It was funny to see the little high difference there was between the two of you. Chris holds the door for you to exit outside. The wind was cold, but it felt nice from being hot from the Ball. Snow was falling for the first time this winter. It didn’t take long for goosebumps to spread across your skin. Chris noticed and didn’t hesitate to put his coat around your shoulders.

Chris leads you to an archway to stand under to keep you away from the snow falling onto you. The moon was big and bright, the stars illuminating around it. You lift your hand to the sky to catch a snowflake. “It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” you wonder aloud.

“It really is,” Chris replies.

You glance at him to only catch him looking at you. You chuckle at his cheekiness, “Real classic, Bang.”

“That was cheesy wasn’t it?”

“Just a little bit.”

A burst of giggles fills the air. In this moment, it is just you and Chris watching the snowfall. Faint music from the Ball plays in the background. You never imagined this scene happening. You and Chris watching the first snow fall together as he attempts to awkwardly flirt. If this was you last term, you would be fighting your way back inside. Now, here you are having this moment with him.

“What's your favorite season?” Chris asks suddenly.

You think for a moment. “I think it would have to be autumn.”

“Why’s that?” he questions further.

“Growing up, it meant coming back here. Somewhere I consider my second home. The colors are amazing. The weather is perfect. I love the seasonal food. It makes me feel warm inside as it is getting cooler,” you explain. “What about you?”

Chris nods in agreement. “I do love fall, but winter has a special place in my heart. It’s the best time to look at the stars. I also love the snow.”

You tug Chris’ jacket closer to keep you warm. “I used to watch the snow fall with my parent’s. Lino would automatically lie on the ground to make snow angles. My mom would get onto him because she didn’t want him to catch a cold. Then my dad would throw a snowball at her which started a war.”

Chris listens fondly as you recall the happy memory of your family. He noticed how happy you are. Your cheeks were already light pink from the wind, but they turned darker as you told the story.

“That sounds wonderful, Y/n. I can tell you love your family very much,” he smiles.

You nod and look down at your hands. “I do. A lot.”

Suddenly, Chris steps in front of you, taking his coat into his hands and clasping the button on his jacket to keep the cold from slipping between you and the coat. “I don’t know if I told you already, but you look beautiful tonight, Y/n.”

You look up at Chris. He avoided your gaze, keeping his focus on the coat. He moves his hands from the button to onto your arms, rubbing them up and down to cause some friction. He finally meets your eyes.

“Thank you,” you whisper.

He smiles to the point his dimples show. You so badly wanted to poke at it, but your arms were glued to your sides.

All of a sudden, there was a rustling sound above you. It sounded as if leaves were falling around you. You both look up at the same time. A mistletoe was growing right above your heads. If your heart wasn’t already beating hard enough, it was now beating out of your chest. You slowly look down to see Chris still staring at the growing flower. He swallowed hard before starting back at you once again. Your eyes flicker between his eyes and his lips. His eyes do the same. You didn’t realize that you were leaning in, feeling his hot breath on your lips. There is hesitancy between the two of you.

“Fuck it.”

Chris softly, but firmly, grabs your waist and kisses you. His lips were soft like clouds, yet fireworks were bursting through. The kiss was slow, at first only a long peck, but soon enough your lips were moving together. Your hands finally move to his shoulders. His hands caress to the smallness of your back. The kiss took your breath away.

Slowly, you both pull away to catch your breath, foreheads pressed together. Slowly, you open your eyes to stare at his puffy lips.

You gaze up to his brown orbs before speaking.

“Please do that again.”

It’s day one of the Triwizard Tournament.

Hogwarts is filled with students from Durmstrang and Beauxbatons. It almost feels claustrophobic with how many students are in the castle. There wasn’t one person who wasn’t talking about the first task today. That includes your friend group. All during breakfast, they kept smothering poor Chris about the first task. He just kept his bright, charming smile on his face even as strangers kept coming to the table.

It was finally the afternoon and time to head to the Forbidden Forest. You, Marina, and Annaliese linked arms together to keep each other warm. “Why couldn’t they have done this closer to the spring? It’s absolutely freezing out here!” Marina shrieks.

“Mare, you are wearing a skirt. Of course you are freezing!” Hyunjin laughs.

“Fashion doesn’t stop in the fall/winter, Hyun!” she smirks.

“Don’t you know her at all?” you giggle.

It had been a while since you have been to the Forbidden Forest. You used to go to feed the Thestrals after studying for your OWLS. Lee Know would have to drag you out of there because you found comfort in the invisible creatures. One caught your eye as you were walking to the bleachers set up. It made you feel like you were becoming yourself again.

“Bloody hell! Why are there so many TV’s?! Are you saying we could have just gone to the Great Hall to watch the task?!” Changing whines.

Jisung puts his arm around Changbin, “Oh come on! It won’t be that bad!”

“We are here to support Chris. That means we are here live so he can see us at the finish line. Aren’t you best friend after all?” Annaliese jokes, dragging you and Marina up the bleacher’s stairs.

The group finally decided to go to the middle of the bleachers as if they were in the movie theatre watching a new film. You guys almost take up a whole row: Changbin is at one end, Marina sitting next to him, then I.N, Seungmin, Annelise, Hyunjin, Jisung, Lee Know, and lastly you at the other end. Crowds of students were gathering around the bleachers to watch. You scan the forest. You couldn’t see anything out of the ordinary. However, you did find Chris with the other two champions. He is laughing at something one of them said. Viktor, who was related to Viktor Krum, was a talk, buff, guy. He is 5-6 inches taller than Chris. Chris looks tiny compared to Viktor. Zora was a beautiful Indian girl. She has long, black hair that was pulled back. You envy Chris; you wish you could connect with people like he does. It used to be one of the reasons you couldn’t stand him, but now it was becoming a reason you admire him.

“Y/n!” you hear a deep voice call out.

You snap your head towards the direction of the voice. It was Felix. “Hey! Over here”

Felix runs up, maneuvers around the herd of people, and sits down next to you. “Finally made it!” he smiles.

“Yeah, where were you?” I.N asks, wrapping his blue and silver scarf around his neck.

“Oh! I just had to take care of a few things. Don’t worry about it!” Felix says.

“Where you snogging that Gryffindor girl from your DADA class?” Jisung asks, raising his eyebrow and smirking.

Felix scoffs and turns his attention to the forest in front of them. You look to see what he was looking at, and it was Headmaster Waterburn with his wand to his neck. “Attention students! Welcome to the 126th Triwizard Tournament!” Students rawer with cheers and applause. “It has been way too long since our last tournament, and we do we have a show for you guys! Our champions have been practicing these past few days for an exciting task! They will be participating in Capture the Flag!”

“Well, that’s boring,” Seungmin mutters. Annaliese smacks his arm, and he over exaggerates his pain, leaning into I.N who shoves him back into Anna.

“Each champion has a flag in the forest they need to find in order to win the task. Viktor, orange; Zora, blue; Christopher, green. Now, this isn’t any ordinary Capture the Flag. We have put a spin on it. Instead of a flag, they will be finding flame. Hence forth this is now Capture the Flame. There are items scattered in the forest to help them. Since they are finding their flame in the Forbidden Forest, there will be creatures along their path. What will those creatures do? We will find out!”

“This’ll be interesting!” Hyunjin shakes his head, inhaling sharply.

Chris stands behind a green line. Professor Ryner was behind him, rubbing his shoulders while probably giving him a pep talk. The other champions had their teachers encouraging them as well.

“We will be watching them in the forest with our handy dandy drones! Who knew Muggles could invent something like magic!” Waterburn smiles.

Lee Know rolls his eyes, “Weirdo.”

“Next he’s going to find out there are cars that drive itself!” you nudge your brother.

“But we have had carriages that have been doing that for years!” I.N says.

All eyes are on their youngest friend. Marina pats his shoulder, “You’re too cute, Innie.”

Waterburn continues his remarks, “At the sound of the canon, our champions will march forth into the forest. Are you ready, champions?”

They all give Headmaster a thumbs up. “Let’s give them a countdown. Shall we?”

“3!”

“2!”

“1!”

The canon fires and the champions bolt into the forest. There were 3 TV’s; one for each champion you could watch. Your eyes bounce from each TV, not knowing which one to watch first. While looking at each of the screens, you could see there were different colored lights to indicate they were on the right path. It had the champions corresponding colors. They soon faded away once they got deeper into the forest.

Zora is the first to find an item: a sneakoscope. A very handy item to let her know if there is any deception around her. After a while, Viktor found an item: a broom. Another great object, but it has limitations. It only could fly for 10 minutes. Chris, however, is having a really hard time finding items. Zora kept finding object after object, but Chris couldn’t find anything.

The first creature was discovered, and Chris is the suspect. He is surrounded by huge spiders. The audience gasps at how huge they were. Lee Know grabs your hand, knowing you don’t like them. Thankfully, Chris thinks quickly and casts them away with an Expelliarmus. Cheers fill the bleachers. Hyunjin and Changbin even stood up to cheer on for Chris.

The next creature that surfaces is a swarm of Billywigs around Viktor. He runs faster, trying to lose them, but their tiny wings are faster than his long legs. You could see him contemplating with the broom in his hand. He finally puts the broom between his legs and flies towards the sky. He thinks that he out flies them, but one latched onto his shirt. It stings him and flies away.

“What did that bug just do?” I.N asks.

“For how much you study, did you pay attention to Care of Magical Creatures?” Hyunjin laughs.

“My potions classes were harder, so I needed to study for that more,” I.N defends.

“A sting isn’t harmful. He’s about to just be super loopy and start floating. Nothing too serious,” you explain.

“Puffy,” Changbin coughs. Marina punches his arm which didn’t hurt at all because of the muscles padding around his arm.

“How come Chris doesn’t have an item yet?” Lee Know questions.

“Right! Super unfair. It’s like they didn’t give him any items at all! He has found more creatures than anything. Who even brings Dementors to Hogwarts?” Jisung complains, resting his head on Lee Know’s shoulder.

“It’s super strange. Zora has double the amount of items even Viktor has,” Felix says.

“Wait, I think he found one!” Seungmin points to the TV.

All eyes are on Chris’ screen. He was looking inside of a tree’s hole. He pulls out a long piece of clothing. It’s an invisibility cloak! He quickly puts it on and disappears.

“At least it’s something! Hopefully that can help him divert around creatures,” Seungmin says, crossing his arms to keep himself warm.

It has been an hour since the task had started. Everyone is starting to get antsy on when the first person will find their flame. Thankfully, they didn’t have to wait too much longer. A blue flame came into frame as Zora found the torch. She reaches to grab it and raises it in the air. The crowd goes wild!

“We have our first winter! Beauxbaton’s Zora!” Waterburn announces.

Viktor is a close second as found his orange flame in a tree. After a little while, Chris found his green flame guarded by a centaur. The group still cheers for Chris, even if he is last. The champions are apparated back to their starting line, torch still in hand. Waterburn has them stand in the center holding up their flames. Zora has a huge smile painted on her face. Viktor waves to everyone. Chris slightly smiles, but you can see the disappointed look in his eyes.

Suddenly, their flames cover the torch and change into a bunny rabbit.

“This is your next clue for the next task! Good luck!” Waterburn exclaims.

The group runs down the bleachers to meet Chris. He notices everyone walking towards him, but he turns his back and walks away.

“Wait up, Chris!” Changbin says, running to him. Everyone stays back. Changbin reaches Chris and touches his shoulder, but he brushes Changbin’s hand and shakes his head. He then apperates away, leaving everyone in the forest.
