Novel: Pleasing Start-Over
Finally I was able to finish a novel. So let's review it.
Status: Completed (103 Chapters)
Personal rating: 7/10
What to expect: smart (OP) protagonist, obsessive ML with absolute sex-addiction, revenge
It's so very similar to Quickly Wear the Face of the Devil in so many ways that it almost feels like it's child.
It's good, if you are (like me) obsessed with Quickly Wear the Face of the Devil but reread it way to much times, so you need something alike but new.
It's bad if you are looking for something fresh. original and unique.
The plot is a bit weak, but at least it is here. No too much drama, quick passed and overall it is a very pleasant and easy read (I did finish it after all).
Warning: It has ML with sex-addiction stronger that in Quickly Wear the Face of the Devil and tbh I didn't think that it is possible... Some yandere-rape-dubcon tendencies it one or two arcs, but mild and not triggering at least for me. The translator made a good job warning about it every time it took place.

As Written
Nonfandom, Self Insert, under 500 words, unfinished.
A series of little pops echoed through the room as Tix leaned back into their seat. They'd spent a long couple of hours hunched heavily over their laptop, typing up all sorts of notes and scattered tidbits they'd jotted into their notebook over the past week. Twisting them into something a bit more coherent then their enthusiastic ramblings.
They were rather proud of the results too, if they were honest. It wasn't quite a fully fleshed out story just yet, but they'd managed to piece together five god-like figures, their personalities, motivations, and the powers they ruled over, along with the basics of the realm they ruled over.
The five reigned over a whole multiverse of timelines and stories, laid out before them like a rich tapestry, one they hadn't started, but one they continued as replacements for the five original gods.
Still, despite all the world building they'd managed that night, despite how much of their history they'd written, or how long they spent developing their powers, it still felt like something was missing. An integral piece that stopped the world from turning into a story.
"That would be you I believe," A new voice popped in, one Tix could swear they'd never heard in their life. The deep, masculine voice echoed around the room slightly, but it didn't boom or shout. In fact, it was a little softer than the average speaking volume, quiet enough to not attract attention, while still loud enough that Tix didn't have to strain to hear it.
They flicked their laptop closed in an instant, an instinct gained from one too many nosy people trying to read over their shoulder in the coffee shop, before spinning their chair around to try and locate the source of the mysterious voice.
Nothing seemed different at first glance. Their clothes were still tossed haphazardly into the hamper without worrying about wrinkles, their bed was still unmade, and their cat was still contently curled up on their bed fast asleep.
It didn't seem like anyone had fiddled with their things to try and hide a speaker, (a prank that sounded exactly like something their brother would do, if he'd gotten a hold of the keys,) and it certainly didn't seem like anyone had actually opened the door and walked in. There wasn't enough space for someone to be hiding behind their bedroom door, although there was perhaps a case to be made for someone hiding in their closet. Still, it seemed rather unlikely, and Tix hadn't recognized the voice.
"Who are you," Tix demanded, shooting a stern glare over the entirety of the room. Hopefully if there was an actual intruder, Tix would be lucky enough to nail them with a proper glare, even if they wouldn't know it.

I'm so upset. This manhua had me hooked. I finished all the available chapters in one go but apparently, it's been dropped? WHY ARE THE BEST ONES ALWAYS DROPPED??? This is unfair. It's similar to "Cheating Men Must Die" but has a very different vibe, I'm definitely in love with the MC and all the worlds she goes through. It's interesting and it's not too slow paced nor too fast paced imo. The only con is that it hasn't updated since 2022 ㅠㅠ

Chapter 3: "Bus No. 44"
The middle-aged woman took out a lighter, lit a cigarette, inhaled a mouthful of smoke, and then exhaled it in Xia Lin Yin's direction. She angrily said, "Why are you asking so many questions?"
"Sorry." Xia Lin Yin smiled apologetically at the middle-aged woman and hurriedly walked away. She didn't care to ask for the rest of the cigarettes back.
In the middle of the bus, two seats were facing the door. Xia Lin Yin walked to those two seats, pulled down a stool, and sat down.
The middle-aged woman didn't know that she was on Bus 44.
Obviously, this middle-aged woman was a plot character, equivalent to an NPC in the game. If she didn't guess wrong, there would be more NPCs to get on this bus, and one of these NPCs was a ghost. Her mission was to find the ghost hidden among the NPCs.
Originally, she wanted to sit in the last row because the view there was the most open. It would be convenient for her to observe everyone.
But at the same time, she felt that this position was also the most dangerous. In those horror movies, ghosts love to find people who walk alone at the end, so she was afraid that if she sat in the last row, she wouldn't know when she would be silently killed by the ghosts.
Right now, this position should be the best. As long as she turned her head left and right, she could see the situation on both sides.
Her body tensed, wondering if there would be other players in this game?
At that moment, the bus stopped again.
Xia Lin Yin saw a young girl in a school uniform with a backpack standing at the bus stop. Her hair was tied in a ponytail.
The young girl took a few steps back in horror at the sight of the vehicle.
The bus did not move nor did the driver urge, but waited patiently for the girl to get on.
"Shit!" The middle-aged woman threw her cigarette on the ground, lifted her foot, and crushed it. She opened the window, poked her head out, and cursed fiercely, "Are you fucking getting on the bus or not?! Hurry up!"
The young girl shrank from the screaming middle-aged woman. Finally, she advanced towards the bus slowly.
She looked terrified, shaking like a sieve, face was pale as paper. Her expression was as if she was being rushed to the execution ground.
This was a player!
This must be a player just like her!
In other words, Xia Lin Yin wasn't the only player in this game. If they all had the same mission and they all worked together to deal with the ghosts, the success rate of completing the mission would be greatly increased.
Correspondingly, the danger rate would also be much lower than that of a single person.
Great! She wasn't fighting alone! She still had companions!
Xia Lin Yin looked at the young girl excitedly, and when the girl looked at her, the corner of her mouth turned up to reveal a friendly smile.
However, this caused the young girl to scream and fall to the ground.
The look of fright on her face was as if she had seen something terrifying.
Xia Lin Yin was flabbergasted and shifted her gaze to look at the opposite door bus that reflected herself.
Dressed in a red dress, her chalk-white face, smudged eyeshadow, blood-red lips, and long wavy hair scattered loosely. At first glance, she embodied a female ghost in red sitting there.
No wonder the young girl was frightened when she saw her.
The young girl in a school uniform sat down in the double seat at the front. She shrunk her body like a quail, folded her hands together, and started to recite words. You could vaguely hear "Namo Amitabha", "Buddha, Bodhisattva, and the Lord Bless", etc.
Then, a woman whose white dress resembled a nightgown entered. Her long and straight black hair with bangs fluttered. She had heavy dark circles under her eyes, looking a little lifeless.
She walked as silently as a ghost to the seat behind the middle-aged woman and sat down.
The young girl in a school uniform buried her head even deeper.
When the bus stopped at the next stop, an old woman dressed in ethnic clothes stepped onto the bus, carrying a bamboo basket that was covered with a black fabric in her hands.
Xia Lin Yin secretly observed the old woman from head to toe and her eyes fell on the bamboo basket, wondering what could be inside.
The old woman's head was wrapped in a navy blue turban. She slightly bent over and fished out a folded handkerchief from her pocket, opened it. She took out two yuans before dropping them into the coin box.
Then, she walked two steps and stopped in front of the double seat where the young girl was seat, "Girl, sit there. This old lady will sit here."
The voice was coarse, like a crow's caw, making people shudder.
Being stared at by an old lady's cloudy eyes, the young girl jumped from her seat and fled to the side.
The middle-aged woman and the woman in white turned their heads to look at the young girl.
Sensing that the woman in white stared at her, the young girl's features twisted in fear, and she dashed to the back of the bus
"You..." Xia Lin Yin had just uttered a word when the young girl turned her head, glanced at her, and instantly screamed in response. She stumbled as she walked up the stairs.
Ignoring the pain, she crawled and hid behind a chair.
"Nuts!" Watching the young girl's absurd behavior, the middle-aged woman turned around and cursed.
The bus stopped again and Xia Lin Yin quickly looked outside to see a woman in a suit standing there.
The woman looked intelligent and with her hair meticulously combed, she gave off a strong woman's appearance. However, at this moment, she was crying helplessly. This appearance of hers was like a small white flower quivering in the wind.
She just stood there and hesitated for a long time. She really didn't want to get on the bus, but she was worried that something more terrible would happen if she didn't do it.
It wasn't that she hadn't tried to escape before. After she saw the words in her palm, she ran wildly, but every time and no matter which direction she ran in, she always came back to the same place. Back to this empty bus stop.
It was like running into a ghost wall.
The night breeze was getting stronger, and its whistling was like wailing ghosts. The woman looked at the dark surroundings and then finally decided to hop on.
She shivered and covered her mouth with her hands tightly, not daring to cry. Her pair of red and swollen eyes looked around in the bus.
The strangely dressed old woman, the middle-aged woman with an unpleasant face, the woman in a white dress, and the woman in a red dress, as well as the man sitting motionless in the back row. She felt that none of these people looked normal.
Especially those two women, one looked like a ghost in red, and the other looked like a ghost in white.
She didn't know where to hide.

#It’s just so different#even though it’s public it still feels secret and safe. i feel comfy sharing a lot more on here than I do in my actual day to day life lol#in my head I’m also just speaking to myself 90% of the time which helps#if a friend off tumblr saw my thoughts I’d feel so weird ab it#esp bc they might get the vagueposting about certain situations and tell mutual friends#no thank u. this is for me. I’m not about to start censoring my thoughts bc someone I know knows my tumblr#u guys literally saw me have LIVE BREAKDOWNS#meanwhile I’ll have the worst fucking day in history and tell no one about it. I’m already cripplingly private but way more so in real life#this is basically a low stress journaling outlet for me. it’s so important for me to maintain the separation#like this is actually my diary & has been so handy for letting out emotions / articulating thoughts / staying on track !!#& I’ve met so many kind people on here who actually get me. which is so hard to find irl bc I’m surrounded by pre-med gunners/overachievers#who are by standard not very good w emotion & can be competitive/judgmental. or at least it’s hard for me to be vulnerable in front of them#and I’m part of that crowd so I reserve my emotions only to a handful of very close friends#it’s nice to hop on here and express negative emotions!! or positive emotions!! just whatever I want and it’s low stress and people get me#I don’t have to worry about judgment or competitiveness etc etc#like everyone on here is so kind & nice & understanding. & just a breath of fresh air from the types I run w. it’s just nice to have this#so idk that’s why I think I’ll always be strict about keeping the worlds separate. it just works#p

Clark needs to get into the alien spaceship that's attacking Metropolis. Kara, Jon, and Kon are all busy helping civilians. There's a force field around the ship that's stopping him.
Then an RV launches itself off of the building next to him and straight into the spaceship.
Jack and Maddie had been heading through Metropolis to Gotham to attend a tech expo. Danny and Jazz were left home, and they were getting daily updates from Jazz.
Then aliens started attacking Metropolis.
And, well, clearly none of these people know defensive driving. The GAV is more than equipped to punch a hole through that forcefield, they can tell from the readings they're getting.
So...why not lend a helping hand?
Anyways that's how the Drs Fenton ended up on the Justice League roster as resident Mad Scientists.
