hazel: has anyone seen percy and annabeth?
*frank, leo, and piper all at once*
frank: they’re joking around
leo: they’re arguing
piper: they’re making out
everyone (confused): …
frank: um when i saw them like twenty minutes ago, they were joking around together and laughing their butts off outside the senate house
leo: well when i saw them at the forum like ten minutes ago, they were throwing hands and pointing fingers and rolling their eyes at each other, like, viciously arguing over something
piper: ok well when i passed by them literally just five minutes ago, they were very heatedly making out against annabeth’s dorm room door
everyone:
grover: yeah… they tend to be like that

Ohhh, I'm rereading Mystra's entry in the Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide... and this detail:
Tumblr media
This means Gale was punished for trying to restore and preserve what he thought was a lost piece of Mystra's magic. Gale being Mystra's ex-lover put aside. He as her follower, she his goddess, was punished for attempting to do the one foundational rule of her faith.
I'm seething and so sad at the same time.
Edit: I used the word punish loosely, as in, toxic/abusive people will take any small mistake or action and twist it into something they can take advantage of. This post was also largely from the stand point of a toxic deity rather than a toxic partner, but both takes are valid here. Especially with the, “you didn’t stay compliant so now I’m giving you the silent treatment” part of it—from a god and a partner perspective.

I moved recently to start a new job and part of my commute now involves one of those high capacity toll booths where a two lane road suddenly flares out into 5-7 lanes of total anarchy with no lines anywhere, and then narrows back down to two lanes again, and we're just supposed to sort ourselves out? Who designed this
anyway I dreamed up this helpful anatomical guide on the drive home

I know Seth’s existence is a controversial topic because he’s so widely disliked but just think about it for a second. I think Seth would’ve grown to like Neil if he hadn’t been killed.
Like. Blood in the locker. Seth would laugh so hard and everyone would be like dude…stop laughing this is serious and he’s standing there like???? Are you KIDDING ME??? Neil is covered in BLOOD and turns out he’s lying about his age and probably so much more and you expect me NOT to laugh?
Neil’s lies would be so amusing to him. Him fighting Riko would be his favourite thing ever. Like in tfc he was so intrigued by Neil roasting Riko on TV, he literally wished he had went with them just so he could’ve witnessed it. I think Neil’s attitude would make Seth laugh so hard because he’s unintentionally bratty and argumentative and he literally can’t keep himself out of trouble. I’m not saying they’d be friends but I think he would love that little striker with an attitude problem that’s all!

“And sin, young man, is when you treat people like things. Including yourself. That’s what sin is.”
“It’s a lot more complicated than that –”
“No. It ain’t. When people say things are a lot more complicated than that, they means they’re getting worried that they won’t like the truth. People as things, that’s where it starts.”
“Oh, I’m sure there are worse crimes –”
“But they starts with thinking about people as things…”
(Granny Weatherwax, to Pastor Mightily Oats, Carpe Jugulum, Terry Pratchett.)

I have an insane amount of feelings about Mulder breaking down by Scully's bedside in Redux II. No, not breaking down. He doesn't break down. He breaks. For a moment, all his walls crumble and we get to see everything he's holding inside, to a point where it seems almost voyeuristic to be watching. Sure, it's shippy af -- he so obviously loves her and carries all this fear and despair that wants out. But it's so much more too.
He doesn't wake her. He needs this moment for himself. It's too private for even her to see. As so many things in his life, this is a burden he thinks he's supposed to carry on his own. He doesn't want her to worry about whether or not he's going to be okay without her. Because we get to see here, more clearly than ever before, that he doesn't think he would be. This is him being completely and utterly broken by the fear of losing her.
And it doesn't look like a moment he let's himself have because he needs to; it looks like a moment that just happens to him because his world is shattering into pieces and the shards are cutting into his soul until he can't ignore the bleeding any longer. His body can't keep going. And then he glues the pieces back together as much as he can and keeps going anyway.
But that moment is so far beyond seeing him vulnerable. He's in so much pain. And he's all alone in it. Because the one person who would be able to understand and to hold him together is the one person he can't share this with.

Changing the ending
Recently, Clockwork started treating dimensional events like a TV show. He could be time itself but he wasn't going to take care of all the dimensions; considering the number of times they destroyed themselves it really didn't make sense.
Danny accompanied him, it was quite funny, and there was a dimension that he liked to observe, Clockwork called him "How to die a thousand times" but the halfa only called it "Detective Comics" or "DC" for short. Everything about it reminded him of a comic if he was being honest.
It was a messy dimension, it had been reset so many times it was worrying and had several alternate line screens that ended very badly. Danny winced at the DC Zombies screen combining with another, that dimension worked in weird ways.
Both he and Clocky prepared for the season finale, a reveal about a hero named "Batman", when he saw Clockwork throw his popcorn at Alfred's death. His mentor was devastated, he used to avoid using his future vision to not "spoil" the ending, but it was obvious that Alfred was his favorite character.
When all of it ended horribly for the original dimension, Danny and Clockwork looked at each other. That ending was very unsatisfying, so they decided to...change it. They had some time to waste after all.
They disguised themselves as a couple of normal civilians, went back to the start of the problems, and started changing all the bad endings they could find (without interfering with some things, even if Danny wanted to save Jason, Red Hood had to happen).
Spoiler alert: Those heroes die a lot, and apparently they're determined to die!
