This is a very dreamy energy (lol), and feels very nostalgic, very different from the first group message. Maybe a school friend or someone from uni. I get the image of them looking down a bit absently, tracing their fingers over an open hardback book with a red cover. This is someone you may have not seen for a little while, or perhaps won’t see for the summer (if you’re in Northern hemisphere). Lot more angst in this group. Someone feeling very angry with themselves over how things were left between you if you’re not talking, or how they’ve been unable to communicate well if you are in contact. This has a stronger emotional/spiritual connection than like #2, and feels more like a partner/former partner. There’s a volatility here and the image of someone frustratedly punching into their hand. The anger feels directed at themselves, and there’s the awareness of their own emotional blockage(s). For some of you, they may be trying to come up with ways to approach you or talk about how they feel/what’s going on, but it feels like they’re coming at it from a pretty rigid headspace. This energy feels very peaceful, and I get that this is either a past life connection you haven’t met yet or you have, but have not been in contact for a long, long time (potentially many years). You could also have met this person recently or briefly, but don’t know them very well yet. There’s a patient energy to it, earthy and contant. Like the way a tree experiences life and seasons, this love for you feels eternal. putting this over here and not on my rp blog because i just feel more comfortable talking over here lately and because this isnt even BAD or me complaining, just saying a thing i noticed and being entertained, but i worry that people will think im being rude

theres like, this bingo card meme going around in my circles lately, where you make one for your muse, specifically of their "type" when it comes to romantic partners

so i make one for miranda, as you do, and i include a box on there that says "respects her sister", because. you know. a vital thing to miranda.

and its funny that all of the other muses who have marked that off are ones who neither i nor bellanda nor miranda would say COULD mark that off

namely because like. why is respecting bellanda so important?

because shes miranda's sister. and even more than that, she has been, for all of miranda's life, both her only friend and her caretaker. bellanda is one of those people that miranda trusts with literally EVERYTHING, and is wholly incapable of thinking bellanda can ever hurt her, let alone hurting bellanda in turn. bellanda's opinion is final to miranda, she is what matters above everyone else, and either her potential paramours accept that theyre always going to be playing second fiddle to bellanda or they leave miranda's life. so much of what miranda does is dependent on bellanda and she is basically everything miranda has.

which is important context, because the reason why not just any single person can mark off themselves as respecting bellanda, is because bellanda is going to be mean as hell to them. bellanda doesn't trust landfolk, very seldom trusts other merfolk, and is highly suspicious of ANYONE who tries to get too close to miranda. for very good reasons, sure, but also this means she is going to try to drive them away as much as she can without upsetting miranda. and like, miranda knows bellanda is doing this. she knows she will insult, berate, and even try to physically hurt people who bellanda perceives as a threat, and miranda knows why bellanda does this, and thus she will give bellanda a very loose leash. again, miranda takes bellanda's side in everything that matters, and her loyalty to her comes first before everyone else.

as you can imagine, this is not an ideal situation to be sandwiched between. you cant even really DO anything, because trying to do anything against bellanda immediately sours miranda's opinion of someone, and bellanda is never really going to do something she knows would be over the line for miranda. the only option is winning bellanda's favor, and thats a tall order when she already mistrusts and suspects them for a full list of potential manipulations and careless blunders that bellanda won't be sharing with them. shes tough, shes strict, and shes very set into what she knows to be true and whats allowed her and miranda to survive this long.

hell, it's why aaravi is one of the very VERY few people to do well with bellanda, because shes already used to people hating her and suspecting her. already knowing that out of the gate and knowing bellanda's type (from her own experiences with gruff older slayers), getting the reassurance from miranda that she actually is good and sweet and funny was enough for her.

but you see the problem still. you see why this is such a dealbreaker for so many muses. you see why its specifically phrased as RESPECTING bellanda, because if you dont fully understand why she has to do all of this and be this way, then you arent going to make it.

I think the thing about it for me is that transmascs have the fundamental right to tell you what our experiences with misogyny and male privilege are, not the other way around.

You don't know what we go through unless we tell you. I don't know what other transmascs go through unless they tell me. Cis women, other trans people, even people with the exact same identities, the exact same life trajectories- none of us know what another person is experiencing or has experienced, let alone how they have interpreted and internalized those experiences, unless they tell us. Even then, we will only ever have access to an imperfect version of that true experience filtered through several layers of language and our own perception & biases.

Does this clash with what feminism says about men's experiences? Yes, absolutely! A lot of (generally mainstream) feminism believes that women Know what men experience better than they themselves do, colored as those experiences are by bias and privilege. And this is a fundamentally isolating, egotistical belief. It cuts us off from each other, it prevents us from connecting, and it shuts down meaningful conversation before it can happen. It says women are pure and perfect, and men are sullied by privilege; that anyone touched by privilege cannot be trusted, and should not trust themselves.

When cis men say they've never experienced privilege, the answer should not be, "you don't know that," it should be vulnerability & curiosity. Why do you think that? I find that hard to believe for these reasons, but I want to know more. I want to co-create understanding with you. Are you curious about me, too? Will you offer me this same kindness? (And if not, they're probably not worth your energy!)

And y'know what, maybe they haven't actually experienced the things you think they have! Maybe the framework you are using is imperfect- maybe it works on a systems analysis level, but it doesn't apply universally. Particularly when we're talking about marginalized men!

This idea that experiencing privilege means you cannot be trusted, ever, to understand that privilege or to know when you have or haven't experienced it? It's so fucking dangerous. Case in point: transfems should be able to talk about the ways in which they might have experienced male privilege without it immediately discrediting everything else they have to say, up to and including about their own identities.

We cannot operate like this. A framework that denies people's self-knowledge will never be capable of liberating anyone.

So yes, actually, some transmascs may experience conditional male privilege at times. But will you, do you believe transmascs when we tell you that we don't?

LUNAR PHASES

The moon acts as a guiding light within the night sky and humans have used it to orient themselves within time and space since the dawn of our existence. However, our connection to the moon goes beyond practicality. Looking up at the moon evokes a sense of comfort, and its beauty is inspirational. As much as our planet has changed, for better or for worse, the moon remains consistent with its cycles. This sense of stability offers us wisdom, and each period of the lunar cycle represents a different stage of growth. I was inspired to write this post after reading a fascinating article that is titled, “Effects of different phases of the lunar month on humans.” The Author, Ujjwal Chakraborty, explored the ways in which the lunar cycle exerts influence upon human psychology and physiology. Chakraborty states, “The altered autonomic neural activity and cardiovascular activity during different lunar phases is probably one of the fundamental causes of the changes of human physiology.”(2014) The autonomic nervous system regulates heart rate, digestion, respiration, blood pressure, and sexual arousal. Any changes that occurs within the autonomic nervous system is going to affect human behavior. To see a spiritual phenomenon be explained through scientific research is incredibly thought provoking; this leads me to believe that the spiritual meanings attached to each lunar phase must hold a certain amount of truth to them. ✰ New Moon - Individuals born under this phase tend to be psychic and are gifted in their ability to acknowledge the unseen. They represent new beginnings and trust their inner instincts. Stats and abilities are based on who your character is as a person. Freeform character creation allows you to build a totally unique little guy, and have a totally unique gameplay experience with him! This is supported by the backbone of the Composure mechanic. Stress, fear, fatigue, and hunger will wear your investigators down as they trudge deeper into the unknown. Food, sleep, and connections with their fellow investigators are the only way to keep them going!

Secrets inside and out!

Any investigator could be a monster, helping their friends while trying not to reveal their true natures. The party will learn to trust and rely on each other, or explode into a tangled net of drama!

Intense, tactical combat!

Hits are devastating, and misses are unpredictable–firing a gun will always change the situation somehow, for better or for worse!

Tears ran down your face as you walked towards a familiar hotel with a backpack and your Beige suitcase. It was raining so people might mistake your tears as Raindrops and thankfully you won’t correct them. You carefully wiped your face just in case and opened the hotel door.

Charlie saw you and instantly got excited. “Hello! Are you here to stay and be redeemed!?” Charlie asked hopefully making more at eased.

“Yea, Uhm I’ve done stuff for love and never actually did stuff for me” You said nervously fiddling with your hoodie strings.

You actually reminded Charlie of her father being depressed because of being betrayed so she welcomes you with open arms.

“That’s okay, let me help you with that” She reassured before taking your suitcase before you could reject her.

“Let me lead you to your room miss-“___” You finished as she nodded excitedly before leading you upstairs to the guess room.

“Is there anyone else doing this?” You asked curiously as you walked beside her.

“Just one person but I guess you can say we force him a bit to do this but other than that it’s just you who seems to want to be redeemed. Demons usually don’t care for these types of things” Charlie said honestly making you nod in agreement.

You yourself are down here because you were just blinded by love. You did anything for your ex like helping him hide a body that he killed or things he asked you’ll immediately do.

“Here we are ____, Call me if you need anything and also breakfast starts at 8:00-9:30” Charlie said as she handed you a key to your room.

“Thank you” You mumbled before entering your room with your suitcase. And all honesty it was bigger than you expected. Plus you got a window to see all of hell.

You sigh before throwing your backpack off your shoulder then flopping on the comfortable bed before falling to sleep accidentally.

A soft knock made you open the door to see Charlie and another girl who looked more intimidating. “Hiii ___ I hope you don’t mind but me and my girlfriend will be escorting you to breakfast” Charlie cheerfully said making you smile at her.

“Of course let me get my sweater” You said before rushing to get your light pink sweater and then closing your door before walking in between the two.

“I’m vaggie by the way” The girl said making you introduce yourself all over again. You weren’t paying attention til you bump into some making you fall to the ground and him only stumble to balance himself.

He turned around and saw you, A beautiful-no A gorgeous woman. “I-I’m so sorry” He said before reaching out to help you up.

“Dad!” Charlie said excitedly, as Lucifer eyes sparkled continued after looking away from you. “Charlie!!!” He said hugging his daughter. You and Vaggie stand there waiting for the father,daughter to be done.

“Oh! ___ this is my dad lucifer and dad this is ___” Charlie introduced making both adults make heart eyes at each other.

“OR you can call me the big boss” Lucifer said jokingly said making you chuckle.

“It’s pleasure to meet the big boss himself” You said sending shivers down his spine and heart racing. He blushes as Vaggie and Charlie stare at the future new couple.

This led to you two being talkive to each other more making you put your trust in him to be able to tell him why you’re in hell.

“I had this Ex who was manipulative but I was really in love to not see it, So whenever he told me to help him hide a body I did it without a doubt and it was more then one time sadly” You said as tears came out your eyes.

He shushed you as he pulled you into him cuddling you. You cried in his shoulder as he rubbed your back making you sleep on his shoulder.

He kissed your forehead before putting you on his lap to get you in a more comfortable position.

A month later:

You woke this time feeling someone under you, His arms around your waist and legs intertwined with yours.

You carefully got up but Lucifer held you down more tightly. “Stay” He mumbled as he put lazy kisses on your neck with his hands slipped under your shirt to rub your back to get you back to sleep. You hummed in agreement feeling sleepy at his touch.

“I love you” You mumbled

“I love you too My Queen” He whispered in your ear.

Veritas Ratio.

Just the mention of this name made people tremble with fear and excitement. A genius who hides his face behind a plaster mask, he will make a person feel insignificant only after a couple of words. Despite this, he was respected by students and other professors, but the problem is that Dr. Ratio himself respected practically no one. Practically.

You are a promising scientist striving to improve the world through your inventions and discoveries. Many said that you were destined to become part of a society of geniuses, some of whom you even knew and had the honor of working with, but all you wanted was to share your knowledge with others. Perhaps this is what attracted Ratio to you. Your passion and desire.

Everyone was shocked when they saw that you and the local single professor started spending a lot of time together, especially after the unsuccessful first meeting. Your clumsiness and shyness led to you spilling some liquid on him. His judgmental gaze made you cry. No one knows what happened after that, but some claimed that they saw Ratio enter your office.

Fortunately, after many years of work, you opened up and became the right person to talk to about all your problems. However, your relationship with Dr. Ratio did not remain at the same level. If his attitude towards you had to be described in one word, everyone would say “protection”. He was seen more than once scolding you for your clumsiness, especially when it came to experiments. If there was an explosion in your laboratory, then after a couple of seconds Ratio would run in and start lecturing you, while at the same time treating the wounds on your face.

Or those moments when you were invited on dates. Although you refused, everyone could see how his behavior had changed, and if at that moment someone approached him with a question, they could even experience his anger on themselves. However, this did not apply to you, on the contrary, your innocent “did something happen?” made him cool down, although his voice was just as cold. Ratio trusted you so much that he even let you make him coffee! Although before your arrival he categorically refused to accept coffee from someone else’s hands.

Students who come to Ratio after classes are over (because he very often bullies poor students and they need to ask for extra assignments) often find you there together, excitedly discussing something. Moreover, Professor Ratio's plaster head is missing, which is not undesirable, given his beauty, but shocking. Unfortunately, as soon as they are noticed, the plaster head again takes its rightful place, and Ratio's sharp voice speaks and goes inside.

Each such situation gives rise to a lot of controversy and rumors. Someone says that you are friends, someone says that you are a couple, but no one can say which is true.

You are not against all this, like Ratio himself, although it infuriates him that each of these fools wants to get into your life.

At least it's nice to fall asleep to his complaints while you both relax in a warm bath.

He’s extremely obsessed with himself, especially his appearance, so I imagine his love would merely be an extension of that

In his eyes, his lover is perfect, from their appearance to every little thing they do

They can do no wrong, and he completely overlooks their flaws

If anything, he doesn’t even see them as flaws

Just more reasons that the person is perfect

That being said, his love is probably pretty suffocating

Physical and verbal affection are his go-to, as well as spoiling them with gifts

The former two he expresses in random mushy gushes

The latter will occur randomly, just whenever he spots something he think they’d like

He’s either fawning over them or raging at them in a characteristic outburst of blind anger

Either way, the emotions are intense

“Chill” moments are rare with him, and they consist of him being burnt out/too tired to feel anything

He probably doesn’t even acknowledge his lover when this happens

They might take advantage of this, using the opportunity to bask peacefully in his presence without having his full attention on them

This is partly because he’s wary around them; he doesn’t fully trust himself not to attack them

But there’s something magnetic about the relationship, and he can’t stop it (and though he won’t admit/realize it, he doesn’t want to)

The relationship never stops deepening: the love grows stronger every day, new boundaries are explored, relationship milestones like moving in together are reached

But there’s still that mysterious barrier that prevents them from talking too much

Are they afraid to expose themselves? Is the silence too comforting? Who can tell…

Infatuation

He would’ve noticed them first

Interest piqued, he’d try to speak with them

He’d advance the relationship quickly, but not in the way you’d expect

Instead of asking to hang out often, he spends perhaps a little too much time investigating them

Talking to their friends, looking up their name online, scrolling through their social media…

He knows everything about them before they tell him themselves

Of course, he’d never let on that he knows more than they believe

When the relationship really starts to get intimate, he’d ramp up the “investigating”

He’s a little obsessed with knowing everything about them

He does it because he can’t stand wondering about them

The only thing that’d make them stay would be the sporadic shows of affection

They’re small, few, and very far between

A pat on the head, a mumbled compliment, locking pinkies for a moment, draping his arm across them in bed, tiny things like that

He’d get flustered easily by any show of affection towards himself

He’d feel overwhelmed by frequent displays, so his lover would have to be strategic in planning when to act

Honestly it’d be like they weren’t even dating

But then someone would see them share a lingering glance, or sit silently together in the rain, and they’d start to wonder

Speaking of, most of the pair’s time together would be like that; just sitting silently, not talking, not touching, not even acknowledging the other

Smoking on the balcony late at night or early in the morning, standing in the rain while they wait for a bus, eating sandwiches in a diner, solemn-faced and unspeaking all the while

The relationship would be held together by a very long and thin string, but it would be strong as steel so long as they both remained stubborn

Nina the Killer

Magical

She’s like an enchantress: absolutely captivating, but still with a dangerous air about her

She would show her love unapologetically to the one she deemed worthy of it

She’s a pretty affectionate person when it comes to her loved ones

Physical affection, verbal affection, hand-made gifts, helping them out, exciting and romantic dates, taking pictures together, the whole nine yards

This being said, her craziness does almost always shine through

There’s just something so subtly off about the things she’ll say, or the things she’ll do

A splotch of blood on a gift, a comment that might be a threat from anyone other than her, just little things that catch one’s attention every now and again

If you bring it up, she’ll share the truth openly

She’d have to have picked someone she trusts fully, so transparency is never a problem when they have concerns

Even if she’s sharing something disturbing or distressing, she’ll tell it in full

She’d expect her lover to do the same, and would help coach them if they didn’t

The relationship would not last if they resisted; she knows what she wants and what she deserves
