Tim Testing
Pairing: Tim Bradford x fem!cop!reader
Summary: After transferring to the Mid-Wilshire division because of toxic male officers harassing you, you find yourself partnered with Tim Bradford. When you are injured during a Tim Test, you hide the injury so he doesn't think less of you.
Warnings: angst to fluff, misogynistic comments and actions toward reader (from police officers), reader is injured and passes out, Tim is a softie
Word Count: 2.5k+ words
A/N: This was such an amazing request!! Tim (and everyone at Mid-Wilshire) would be so welcoming after dealing with something like this, so I really enjoyed writing this one. I hope you enjoy and please feel free to let me know what you think!🤍

You knew from the beginning that it would be different for you, that being a female cop would have its pros, cons, and tough moments. What you didn’t expect was the men who were supposed to be your equals harassing you and making each moment far worse than it should have been.
Between the crass comments about how your uniform fit, questioning whether it was your time of the month whenever you tried to stand up for yourself, and their inability to trust you in the field, you learn your place quickly.
“I’d like to request a transfer to a different station,” you tell your commanding officer.
“Why?” he asks.
“Because there is no respect, no trust in this station. Looking over my shoulder while I’m trying to work, and having to defend myself against the very people who are supposed to have my back is exhausting and it makes me unable to do my job.”
He sighs, rolling his eyes as he slides a form to you. “Your decision. Though showing how weak you are by moving around every time things get hard, or your feelings get hurt isn’t plausible.”
“And you had to ask why,” you mutter, snatching the paper off his desk and walking out to fill it out in private.
“Hey, princess, before we leave on patrol I need to know you don’t have your gun at the front of your belt,” someone calls. “Don’t want to risk getting killed by your poor aim.”
You remain silent, which makes them quit or spurs them on to push you further. As if your day isn’t going poorly already, they take your silence as a weakness.
“Just her gun? You should be more worried about how her attitude changes if her bra rides up or her hormones spike,” a second voice adds.
“You’re on your own today,” you reply. “I’m on desk duty.”
“Finally, someone put you where you belong.”
The men laugh as they walk toward their shops, and you take a deep breath as the quiet settles over the station. Once your paperwork is complete, you take it to the captain. You can only hope it goes through quickly before you get fed up and quit forever.
✯✯✯✯✯
Your commanding officer yells your name as you walk in, intercepting you on your way to the locker room.
“Your transfer just came through, you’re expected at the Mid-Wilshire division for roll call first thing in the morning; today’s PTO while we complete the paperwork,” he informs.
You accept the paper he hands you and pretend not to hear as he adds, “I hope they know what they’re getting into and have the patience to deal with you.”
Smiling as you empty your locker, you hope things are looking up. Although, you know it will be hard to open up to new people and trust new cops, even if they are different than your previous team.
✯✯✯✯✯
Entering the Mid-Wilshire station, you cross your fingers that transferring was the right decision. Sergeant Wade Grey is your new commanding officer, and your day (and your future) relies on this meeting going well.
“Sergeant Grey?” you ask, knocking on his open door.
He looks up, smiling as he beckons you inside. Saying your name, he opens a folder and compliments your arrest record. “I was surprised to hear you asked for a transfer, it seemed like you were doing well at your previous station.”
“The environment was making it difficult to do as well as I know I can, sir,” you answer.
Grey nods. “I can understand that. Our people are good, though, so I expect you will fit in well and succeed in all you do here.”
“I appreciate that, sir.”
“And you can drop the ‘sir,’ we’re not as formal as some other stations.”
Blinking in surprise, you look away from Wade when another cop enters the small office.
“Sergeant Bradford, I’d like to introduce you to your new partner. I will warn both of you this is likely a temporary partnership, but one I trust will do you both some good.”
You smile at Bradford, who tilts his head to the side as he looks you over. It’s clear that he isn’t thrilled about having a partner, having grown used to working alone since becoming a sergeant. As long as he doesn’t treat you like a boot, or worse, like a girl who doesn’t have what it takes to be a cop, you can survive working with him for a few weeks.
What you don’t see, though, is that Tim can look at you and tell you’re a good cop. He reviewed your paperwork and arrest record with Wade yesterday, and he’s impressed by you. You’re good, but you have the potential to be better with the right help. And, for some reason, Wade is convinced that Tim can give you the push you need to be your best.
“Okay, let’s go,” Tim says, turning away as Wade tells you to have a good day.
✯✯✯✯✯
Tim acknowledges that you’re not a rookie but warns you from the beginning that you still have something to prove.
“I know you’ve been a cop for a while, but I haven’t seen you in action. Your records are admirable, but I need to see proof that you’re still that good,” he explains. “So, I will test you and challenge you while we’re riding together, but don’t view it as starting over, more like proving grounds than qualifications.”
You nod, remembering something Wade muttered about “Tim Tests,” which you’re sure are unique to Bradford.
“I understand. I’ll do my best, and I want to learn to be better.”
Tim doesn’t reply, and you raise your guard, unimpressed with how shut off he is with you. In general, your past has made you wary around men; after Tim’s insistence that you have something to prove, you are determined to hide everything that could be taken as a sign of weakness. You will do whatever it takes to show you are a good cop, worthy of respect.
Slamming on the brakes, Tim yells, “We’re being ambushed; what do you do?”
“Radio for backup, stay in the shop, stay low, and fire only if necessary,” you answer, nearly robotically, as he catches you off guard.
Tim eases back onto the road, ignoring you once again.
✯✯✯✯✯
Just before your scheduled lunch break, something which you haven’t actually enjoyed in far too long, Tim parks between two old warehouses.
“There’s a suspicious package in the gray building, you’re riding alone and need to check it out,” he explains. “Radio any information as you find it.”
You switch your radio to a private channel with Tim, accepting the call as you exit the shop and enter the building. It’s dark and wet, but you refuse to accept any comments or disdainful looks from Tim if you fail this test, so you will find the package and impress him as quickly as possible.
“7-Adam-9, located suspicious package: brown paper bag situated between steel beams,” you radio.
“Dispatch, requesting additional information,” Tim replies.
You sigh, moving forward to look at the bag because you can’t touch it. When you move, the beams sitting upright in the warehouse shift. Stepping back a second too late, one side of the heavy structure hits the back of your shoulder, shoving you forward into the crate holding the package.
Pain radiates through your shoulder as you move to the side, pulling yourself away from the mess you made with a sharp inhale.
“7-Adam-9, false alarm. Suspicious package is empty. Code 4.”
“Copy 7-Adam-9.”
Taking a step toward the door, you hiss in pain as the pain moves from your shoulder around to your ribs, where you fell against the crate. It seems likely that you broke something or at least got a deep bruise, but telling Tim would be like admitting that you’re weak. So, as you level your expression and cover your pain by walking normally, you decide to hide your pain.
Being labeled weak or incapable, or as before, giving Tim a reason to view you as less than is not an option anymore. Buckling your seatbelt, you press your lips together to keep your pained sounds muted, and the feeling of the seat on your shoulder makes you count down the minutes until you can get out of the shop.
✯✯✯✯✯
As the day goes on, your pain grows in intensity. Each breath causes immeasurable pain, and your stomach turns when you move your shoulder in any direction.
“Wade’s going to ask me, so how’s your first day going?” Tim asks, turning down a residential street to respond to a noise disturbance.
“Fine,” you answer quickly, clenching your jaw to stay quiet.
“Good,” he replies, though his voice sounds different. “Glad you found a station that works for you.”
You can’t tell if his comment is passive-aggressive, implying that you are the issue rather than the station you transferred from. The overbearing pain you’re feeling makes it nearly impossible to care.
“You take point on this one,” Tim offers as he parks by the curb.
“Yes, sir.”
Asking questions and explaining the city’s noise ordinances to the tenant, you’re momentarily distracted from your pain. The moment you turn to return to the shop, though, you’re reminded that your new position isn’t quite as enjoyable as you were expecting.
“Take us back to the station,” Tim says, tossing the shop keys to you.
When you raise your hand to catch the keys, your shoulder screams in protest, and you close your eyes momentarily to hide the pain.
“You alright?” Tim asks.
Nodding, you release a sigh when Tim climbs into the passenger seat, too easily convinced by your answer.
✯✯✯✯✯
After a quick meeting with Wade, discussing your new role, and signing a few documents, you head for the locker room. When you pull your shirt off, you glance in the mirror, surprised to see the size and color of the bruise; your entire shoulder, over to your neck and down around the front of your ribs, is a sickening purple. The yellowish tint around the edges is a sign that it will only worsen before it begins to heal. Attempting to raise your arm again, you feel something shift under your skin and step into one of the bathroom stalls, kneeling as you try to keep yourself from being sick. When you lean your head against the metal wall, the coolness is soothing, and as you finally let yourself acknowledge the pain, it becomes all you can feel.
✯✯✯✯✯
Tim opens Wade’s door, furrowing his brows when he sees you’re not there.
“She left a few minutes ago,” Wade answers.
“Her car’s still here.”
“Must be in the locker room then.”
“Why’d she transfer?” Tim asks, stepping inside to close the door.
“I don’t know, Bradford. You’re going to have to ask her.”
Tim nods, turning away to search for you. He knocks on the locker room door, and when no one answers, he opens it and says your name. Once again met with silence, he steps inside and looks around. Your locker is open, but you’re nowhere to be seen. As he rounds the last row of lockers, he sees someone sitting on the floor in one of the bathroom stalls.
Tim says your name, knocking on the door. It opens at his touch, and he catches it before it hits your arm. Kneeling beside you, he looks across your face, pressing his hand behind your neck as he tries to find the source of your unconsciousness. His hand dips to your upper shoulder, and you groan, opening your eyes.
Tim ignores you as you wake, gently leaning you forward as he surveys the bruise where it’s visible past your tank top.
“Stay awake,” he says, moving you again. “Just your shoulder?”
You nod, and he demands to know: “Home or hospital?”
“Home,” you whisper. “But I can-“
“Obviously you can’t,” Tim snaps, his arms gentler than his voice as he lifts you from the ground.
✯✯✯✯✯
You stay conscious, fighting against the pain as you give Tim directions to your home. After getting you inside and as comfortable as possible, he leaves your side to gather a few things before returning. He gives you a glass of water and a few pain reliever pills, waiting until you’ve taken them to lay an ice pack across your shoulder. You take a deep breath at the cold before catching yourself.
“What else hurts?” Tim asks.
“My ribs,” you admit.
He leans you back gently, pushing your tank top to your sternum as he surveys the darkening bruise across your lower ribcage. Gently moving his hand across your skin, he doesn’t feel anything obviously broken, apologizing as you whimper at the pressure. Pulling the first aid kit he brought from your kitchen to his side, he places several cooling packets over your ribs.
Satisfied that he’s done all he can do for you, Tim moves to sit across from you, making himself comfortable in your living room.
“What are you doing?” you ask.
“I’m not leaving,” he answers quickly, “what if you collapse again?”
“I’ll be fine.”
Tim silences, closing his eyes as he leans back. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
You’ve heard that question dozens of times, but previously, it was asked in a much different tone. Always an accusation that you hadn’t handled something correctly or that you should have let someone else do whatever it was that needed to be done.
When you look back at Tim, his eyes are on you, and you shrug. His eyes narrow as his gaze intensifies, demanding your answer.
“The last station that I worked at made me nervous to tell people things, especially other cops. All of the guys that I worked with harassed me constantly, and they tried to convince me that I wasn’t a good cop because I was a woman. So, I have trouble trusting other police officers with personal things. During your Tim Tests, I thought that if I acknowledged something had happened, you’d see me the same way.”
“Which way?”
“Weak, incapable,” you answer, trailing off.
“They were bad people,” Tim explains. “They may have been okay cops, but no one deserves to be treated like that.”
You nod, licking your lips as your gaze drops to the blanket across your lap.
“Want to tell me what happened today?” he pries.
“The steel beams around the bag?” Tim nods, so you continue, “They fell. One of them hit my shoulder and knocked me forward.”
“I’m sorry.”
“You couldn’t have known that would happen. Besides, you helped me. My last partner would have found a way to blame be.”
“Like I said, bad people. But you… you’re a good person and a good cop,” Tim continues. “I’ve known that since you walked in, but I needed to know that you knew. Getting hurt or being unable to do something on the first try doesn’t make you less of a person, or a cop. Being a woman doesn’t either. And if they didn’t see that, it’s their loss.”
“Thank you,” you whisper, looking into his eyes.
“And my gain.”
You furrow your brows at Tim, but he leans back and closes his eyes instead of elaborating.

“Red Robin, sound off. Status?”
“All good here, Oracle. Everything okay?”
It’s been a slow night, never a good sign. Pent up energy itches under his skin and he stretches when he stands, preparing for whatever Oracle is going to throw his way. It’s going to be something, he can tell.
“Good.” Relief briefly colours her voice answers, before she becomes serious again, keys clacking away in the background. “There’s been a report from Agent A. It appears that one Timothy Drake has been kidnapped and is being ransomed for five million dollars and a helicopter. I’m tracing the call now.”
“A helicopter, too? Kidnappers these days, used to be they just wanted their money and that would be the end of it… a fucking helicopter, wow.” Red Hood scoffs, and Red Robin can’t help but join in the laughter over the comms.
“Doesn’t exactly sound like these are the brightest tools in the shed now, does it, Hood? Wonder what poor schmuck they’ve got instead.” Nightwing says, slightly out of breath.
The smile slips off Red Robin’s face and clammy, cold dread shivers down his spine. A stone settles in his stomach. He wets his lips and clears his throat. “Oracle, can you pull up the CCTV on my apartment near WE? Any closer to tracing the call?”
“Still on the trace, they’re using a jammer. Agent A is cooperating so they should phone back soon, which will help.” she reports, falling into silence as he finds the video feed.
“You know who it is?”
“I hope not.”
It’s tense, he taps his feet on the rooftop, fingers tightening over his grapple as he fights the urge to fly off the roof and check for himself. It better not be him. Please, dear God, don’t let it not be him.
“What are you thinking, Red Robin?” Batman growls through the comms. Red Robin can hear the wind under his words, whipping fast as he no doubt makes his way over to his position.
“I had a, uh, a friend coming over tonight. From behind, he… he could be mistaken for Tim Drake.”
The jokes fall silent, the comms growing serious as they pick up on his tone.
“Well, fuck.”
“Eloquent as always, Hood.”
“Shut up, bat-brat.”
“You were right, Red Robin, it looks like it was your… friend they caught, instead. About two hours before the call came in. I’m following their van now, I should have the destination soon. In the meantime, it looks like they’re heading towards the docks.”
Red Robin throws himself off the building, shooting his grapple as low as he dares to get the fastest swing he can.
They have Danny.
Worry gnaws at his gut even as gravity pulls it into his throat with another swing.
Danny is… And Red Robin means this in the nicest way possible, but Danny is fragile. They haven’t talked about it, but RR knows that Danny has health problems. Something plaguing him since he was young, that’s landed him in the hospital more than once. A weak heart, far too slow to be normal, possibly chronic fatigue—he’s always so tired, falling asleep anywhere he can.
Sometimes, he doesn’t even need to put his head down. Once, when they had gone to the corner store to get some popcorn to enjoy their movie (which Danny had explicitly and repeatedly promised he wouldn’t snore through this time), Danny had rested his head on Tim’s shoulder while they were waiting and he’d just… gone. On his feet, asleep, just like that.
He’d laughed, when Tim woke him up. Apologised. Said Tim made him feel safe enough to fall asleep just about anywhere and—
Red Robin grits his teeth and corrects his course as Oracle updates them with more precise coordinates.
Tim had carried him home that night, piggy-back for four blocks, but by the end of it, he wasn’t tired at all. And that’s another thing, Danny’s just so light. It’s concerning.
They never did watch that movie, but it’s a night that Tim can’t help remembering fondly all the same. They’d ended up rewatching some old sitcom that Danny’s seen countless times but Tim’s never really bothered with, Danny drifting off to sleep again and Tim eventually following him, because… sleep is easy with Danny.
It’s the same for him, he thinks. He can’t explain it, but he feels safe enough to sleep with Danny, too.
He needs to be alright.
“So… Is this friend just a friend? Or a friend friend?”
“A friend, Nightwing. Now hurry up.”
He’s not in the mood to play these games, not now. There’s a reason why none of them know about Danny, and this is one of them. His family, as much as he loves them, are just too damn nosey for their own good.
“You know that doesn’t answer my question at all.”
“Then why don’t you ask something intelligible, rather than continue with your childish antics?” Robin snarks, and for once, Red Robin has to agree with him. Or, rather, he’s grateful for the distraction that it gives him.
Tim has secrets. He’s sure that Danny does, too, and so far—aside from the standard background check he always runs on new friends and friend friends alike—he’s done very well to respect them. He just can’t say that his family would do the same.
They can be overwhelming, to say the least, and Tim has tried his best to protect Danny from that.
Only to fail to protect him in every other way that it counts.
“How long have you guys been ‘friends’?”
“Nightwing, save it, please.”
“What’s his name?”
He ignores him.
Red Robin lands on the building first, thank goodness. He wastes no time in finding a skylight that can be pried open fairly quietly, slipping inside without a second thought.
“Wait for backup, Red Robin, that is an order!” Batman says, when he lets them know he’s in.
“Negative, Batman. I’m getting him back.”
“Red Robin!”
He weaves silently through the desks on the second floor of the warehouse, always moving, always keeping a trained eye on the shadows around him.
When he reaches the stairs, he hears voices.
“Looks like three of them, armed. The-the hostage is tied to a chair in the middle of the room, he…” Red Robin takes a steadying breath. The person has a burlap sack over their head is slumped to the side, from where he is, Red Robin can’t see if his chest is moving. There’s blood on the floor. “He needs medical assistance. Another two on the northside entrance.”
The comms explode in admonitions, everyone pleading with him to stay where he is, to wait for help, but fuck that. With a tap, he switches them off and he can finally, just about make out the words of the kidnappers as he creeps down the first few steps.
“—shouldn’t he have woken up by now?”
“I don’t know, man, you’re the one that hit him! Do you think he’s—”
“No! I didn’t even hit him that hard, I swear!” the man cries, holding his hands up in surrender. “I just couldn’t take any more of his stupid jokes!”
If there was any doubt in Red Robin’s mind that they picked up Danny by mistake, it’s gone now. Yeah. If you get Danny, you get his stupid jokes, too.
He creeps closer.
There’s some storage crates between him and Danny, if he can get behind there without being seen then that leaves him in a good position for when whoever’s next in takes out the guys at the front. He can’t do anything without them gone first, not without risking them taking shots inside and endangering Danny.
The man that hit Danny circles round behind him and grabs at his hands.
“What are you even doing, Pat? Who gives a shit, leave him alone.”
“I’m just checking! I just gotta see!”
“Fuck’s sake, guys, who cares? We just gotta get our money, that’s it—”
“And our helicopter!”
“And our—”
“Shit, I can’t find a pulse! Shit, Frank, I killed him, I—”
Jason told him once that when the Pits overtook him, he used to see green. Instead of blacking out, he’d be swimming in that putrid Lazarus colour and he’d slip into that rage and bad things would happen.
He’s heard of people seeing red, too, but really, he thinks that’s more of a literary device.
Tim doesn’t see anything aside from his targets.
A barrage of birdarangs take the guns from the guys at the front, the three around Danny startling badly enough that the guy that kil—that’s behind Danny—stumbles, losing his footing.
Only one of them shoots.
Amateurs.
There’s a round of curses on the comms as the shots come through. Oracle must have turned them back on.
“Fucking hell—Nightwing and I are at the front, Red Robin, don’t worry about them.”
Red Robin’s barely listening.
He spins, kicking the largest guy in the stomach hard enough so that he doubles over, wheezing. Following through the movement, another kick lands on the side of his head and he’s down.
The second one, Frank, gets his wits about him and raises his gun, spraying wildly. He’s a shit shot, going wide in panic, and Red Robin simply ducks and rushes forward, keeping low. Tackling the guy, he grabs the gun off of him and uses it to smash him across the face, once, twice, three times, before he stops moving.
“Oracle, get police and paramedics on scene, now.” Batman says, the displeasure in his voice evident. “Red Robin, Robin and I are coming in from the top.”
Pat hasn’t even made it up off the floor yet, scrambling backwards, fear plain on his face.
Red Robin stands, breathing heavily, gun still in hand.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I swear I didn’t mean to do it! Please—please, don’t, please!”
Red Robin doesn’t kill.
Well, no, Red Robin doesn’t normally kill.
No, that’s not quite right, either.
Red Robin has killed. Red Robin will more than likely kill again. Red Robin sees no problem with killing.
The gun is up, pointing towards the guy without any real thought about it.
Footsteps rush behind him, the familiar heavy footfalls of Batman and Robin, so he doesn’t bother turning around. The gun follows the guy as he keeps pulling himself backwards, snot and tears mingling down his face.
“Red Robin,” Batman says, softly.
It’s always weird hearing Batman’s voice like that. It’s not the first time, obviously—Batman can’t use his scary intimidating voice on victims or children, after all—but having it used on him is weird.
“Breathe.”
“He’s dead. They killed him.”
If hearing Batman’s voice was weird, Red Robin can’t even recognise his own.
Distantly, he realises he’s dissociating. There’s a tightness in his chest, it’s hard to breathe, a growing buzz drowns out any noise in his ears and he can’t think, he can’t—
A heavy hand squeezes his shoulder, jolting him out of his thoughts. Batman reaches around and gently removes the gun from his grip, and Tim feels the instant loss of it. He should have done it, why hadn’t he done it?
Robin takes care of the last man, his crying cut off by a swift kick to the head. Nightwing and Red Hood join them, zip-tying the men on the floor and starting to drag them back to the entrance of the warehouse one by one.
No one says a word.
Shrugging off Batman’s hand, Tim moves towards the chair.
Shaking, he takes a deep breath and removes the sack. The small part of him that was left hoping it wasn’t him, it couldn’t be him, please dear God let it not be him, shatters.
Even dead, he looks peaceful.
Tim’s seen death. He’s no stranger to it, he’s seen what it can do to a person. There’s some blood coagulating over his eyebrows, but otherwise, he looks peaceful. Is that comforting? That he didn’t suffer?
Danny’s head lolls to the side as the sack comes completely away, his hair flopping over his eyes. Tim’s been on at him to get a haircut lately, he thinks it’ll be nice tidied up a bit, just on the sides. It’ll get rid of that permanent bedhead. Help him with job interviews, he’s got to be thinking about that now that he’s in his last year of college.
It’s about the only thing that’ll hold him back, Tim thinks. Danny’s brilliant. Any employer would be a fool to turn him down because of his shaggy hair, but employers are stupid so it makes sense to put your best foot forward and—
Tim falls to his knees.
Fuck.
He’s dead, he’s really—Danny’s skin is horribly pale, cold to the touch. Gone is his bright, cheerful smile.
“Danny, I’m sorry, I’m so, so sorry, I—”
He stops himself with a deep, shuddering breath. He can’t break down here, he can’t, he can’t, he can’t.
Instead, he tips forward to rest his head in Danny’s lap, arms curling around himself. They were too late. They got here as fast as they could and they were too late.
“Danny, I’m so sorry…” he whispers. “I… I love you, I love you, I’m sorry.”
Dimly, he can feel the others standing around them. Someone crouches down beside him, resting a comforting arm over his back, but he doesn’t turn his head to see who it is. He squeezes his grip on Danny’s legs tighter.
“Come on, baby bird. Let’s—”
They’re interrupted by a huge, honking snore as Danny jerks himself awake.
Tim’s head snaps up, staring at Danny with wide eyes.
“You were asleep?” Red Robin springs up, several different emotions rapidly flip flopping through him.
“Wha… What?” Danny heaves a yawn, blinking blearily down at him. “Sorry, I’m just… they were shit kidnappers, man, really boring. Honestly, worst abduction yet.”
“You were asleep? I thought you were dead!”
“Not mutually exlusive, you know.” Danny says through another yawn. He rolls his neck around with an almighty crack and glances at everyone. “Didn’t think I’d warrant the whole Bat brigade, though…”
“The kidnappers thought they had Tim Drake.” Batman supplies, while Red Robin tries to work through the emotional whiplash.
“Ah, makes sense… wait.” Danny sits up suddenly, squinting at Red Robin. “Did you say you loved me?”
“No, of course not, why would I—”
“Tim? Is that—are you—are you Red Robin?”
“Everyone, hold the fuck up!” Red Hood shouts from the other side of the warehouse, having finished securing the perps to a streetlight outside. “Double R is dating Danny fucking Nightingale?”
Well, there goes his identity… Oh, who’s he kidding, Danny’s smart. There’s no way he could have salvaged that. This was not how he thought the night was going to go.
“Cranberry, is that you?” Danny twists in his chair, somehow delighted to see Red Hood rescuing him, too. “I thought I smelled you lurking about!”
“Shut it, you little shit. Since when were you dating this dweeb?”
“I’m sorry,” Red Robin pleads, hands in the air to try and slow down the onslaught of information and insults, “you two know each other?”
“Cranberry?” Nightwing echoes, looking as lost as Red Robin feels.
“Yeah, Cranberry—The Cranberries—zombie, zombie, zombie-ie-ie. Obviously. Also he’s wearing a big, fuck off red helmet.”
“Yeah, sure, makes sense.”
It’s about the only thing that does.
“And please don’t call my boyfriend a dweeb, Cranberry. Especially when he just said he loves me for the first time.”
“He only said it because he thought you were dead.”
“I am dead, so it counts.”
“Only half, so I’d say that puts you at a solid ‘like’. Tim’s—and savour this, Tim, because I’m only going to say it once—Tim’s intelligent, so I’m sure he’ll come to his senses soon.”
Danny just throws Red Hood such a shit-eating grin. A level of feral that Tim’s only seen before in Damian.
“That’s what I used to say about Jazz, too.”
Hood scoffs in offence, and to be honest, Tim’s not sure where he should go from here. What the hell is happening, how do they know each other?
“Come on, is anyone going to untie me or am I really meeting your family mafia-style?”
“Do it yourself, Slimer.” Red Hood laughs, crossing his arms.
“Ugh, you suck so much. I’ll fucking slime you, just you wait. Can’t believe Jazz even likes you, I preferred it when she was dating Johnny.”
And then, without Danny doing anything other than muttering obscenities at Red Hood, the ropes fall to the ground. In one swift motion, Danny stands up and stretches himself to his full height of 5’6.
“All of you need to explain, now.” commands Batman, and honestly, Red Robin’s very much on his side of it.
“I can’t believe it… Jason and Timmy are both in secret relationships? That’s… How come no one told me?” Poor Nightwing sounds the most shocked out of all of them. He turns to Damian and clasps onto both of his shoulders. “You’re not secretly dating, are you, D? Please tell me you’re not, please tell me you’re single, please?”
Of course, Robin just clicks his tongue and pushes his hands away. Really, Red Robin doesn’t think that Nightwing’s in any danger of that happening, he’d be surprised if anyone could stand Robin enough to actually date him.
He shakes his head and turns to Danny, who’s staring right back at him, worry clear on his face.
Fuck, he... He's alive. He's really alive.
Tim pulls him into a bone-crushing hug, fingers buried deep in his NASA shirt. Tucking his face into the crook of Danny's shoulder, he laughs wetly with the joy of it. He's alive. He hasn't lost him. He's safe.
“I’m sorry I haven’t told you before now, starshine, but…” Danny breaks the hug and softly pulls away from him to rise on his tiptoes to place a kiss his cheek. The skin burns cold where his lips touch. “I love you, too. Also, you’re gonna wanna sit down. This is going to be a lot.”

Summary: You’ve been in love with this boy forever, but he doesn’t return your feelings
A/N: Sorry that this is so short
Please don’t plagiarize my work, you may reblog if you like but I’m asking that you don’t steal my hard work
Tumblr media
You sniffled slightly, pulling open the door with shaky hands, doing your best to ignore the cool sensation that you felt on your face from the tears you hadn’t bothered to dry off.
How could you have been so stupid? How could you not have seen the signs? How could you ever fall in love with him?
True, you never were actually together, but you had fallen head over heels in love with one of your classmates in the beginning of the year. So much so, that you hardly knew what to do with yourself.
One thing you did do though, was rant on and on about him to your family at home. Your brothers and father had honestly begun to grow tired of it, especially after you had refused to give up his name so that they could go interrogate him. Just to make sure he was good enough for you.
But today was supposed to be the day after months upon months of pining after him, you were going to tell him how you felt. And then he was going to admit it back, and it would be glorious.
That wasn’t how it went, though. In fact, it went the exact opposite of that. Anything that could have gone wrong, went wrong.
First, you had stumbled over your words a million times trying to tell him how you felt, and then when you were finally able to form a sentence, he had informed you that not only did he definitely not feel the same way about you, but he also had a girlfriend.
You had been too crushed to even listen to any of his apologies and hopes to stay friends as you had stumbled away from him in sheer mortification and heartbreak.
You toed off your shoes at a snail's pace before shuffling through the foyer and past the living room, completely oblivious to the four figures that sat within.
Jason and Damian’s bickering immediately ceased as theirs and Tim’s and Dicks eyes snapped over to you, walking by the room with your head hung low.
“N/n?” Dick was the first to call out, standing up from the couch in slight alarm and worry.
Your entire body immediately tensed at the sound of your older brother's voice and your bloodshot eyes snapped over to him on instinct.
Everyone jumped up at the sight of your tear stained cheeks, “What is it?” Tim rushed out, “What happened?”
“Nothing,” You mumbled, moving to try and go past the room, “Leave me alone.”
They had other plans, though, Dick immediately following after and then gently steering you back into the living room- despite your weak protests- and sat you down on the couch so that they could all stand in front of you.
“What happened, sister?” Damian demanded, crossing his arms over his chest.
“I said nothing!” You snapped angrily, glaring at all of them.
They weren’t even slightly fazed by your tone, though, as they continued to press on, “Did someone hurt you?” Jason’s voice was dangerous, “I swear to god, just point me in their direction, n/n-“
“It’s the boy I liked!” You finally shouted, jumping up and glaring at all of them, “He has a girlfriend, alright? Are you happy now?”
All of their faces instantly softened and Dick didn’t hesitate to draw you into a tight hug, “Oh, n/n, we would never be happy about that, and you know it.”
You sniffled slightly, anger diminishing as you sank into his chest, “I know,” You mumbled.
Jason raised both of his eyebrows, “I can still go get my guns-“
“No!” Dick and Tim snapped in sync.
“I can agree with Todd on this one,” Damian spoke, “And if my katana should be needed as well-“
“No, Dami!” Dicks stressed before sighing and placing a kiss on the top of your head in hopes that it would comfort you, “I’m so sorry, honey.”
You shrugged to the best of your ability in your eldest brother's tight gasp, “I should have known.”
“It’s not your fault,” Tim spoke up, “You had no way of knowing.”
“I just wish I didn’t have to humiliate myself like that,” You admitted, “Or have liked him so much where it hurts as much as it does.”
Slowly, they each exchanged a look before they all wordlessly walked around you and wrapped you into the same bear hug that Dick had you trapped in.
So you stood there, in the comfort of your brother's arms and allowed yourself to calm down. Because it would take some time for this to stop stinging so much, but at least you had your family there to support you through it all.

“is it too late to call?” you asked.
“Is it too late to call?” he mimicked your voice sarcastically in an extra high pitched voice. “you wanna kidding me right, y/n?”
You didn’t need to see his face to notice he was angry, his voice was already dark enough to tell. He tried to call you every day for the last 5 days.
You tried to apologize but his mood was already getting on your nerves and got you annoyed. “Listen i’m sorry timmy-
“fuck dont call me that, little bitch”
Calling him was a mistake. Fuck he was so moody.
“You ghosted me for like the whole week. And you think it’s all fine when you just call out of nowhere?” he pouted.
“okay forget it, i will never call again!" You tried to shut him down, before getting more and more annoyed.
“don't you dare hang up on me now!”
Timothees and your relationship was complicated. You first met him 6 months ago. You could feel the fire since minute one. This fire that always light up when he was near you. Since the first time he touched your lips with his, there was no going back. During the first 2 months you tried to be in a relationship with each other but realized very quickly that this kinda commitment was too much. Both of you were quite busy and a real loving relationship would take too much time and effort. Now you saw each other and fucked from time to time.
Next thing you heard was your doorbell ringing. You winced as the loud sound echoed through your empty apartment. It was late at night and the street lights were already off. The thought of someone standing in front of your door at this time scared you a little.
“wait a fucking second tim, i need to check the front door” you cut him off.
you walked carefully over to the front door and opened it just a tiny little bit, if you felt scared you could slam your door shut easily.
Your eyes catched something familiar. Or more precisely someone familiar. There he stands, right in front of your door. In the middle of the night. Your on-off fling Timothée.
You opened the door completely as quick as you could, now staring into his eyes - hated to admit the most beautiful eyes you’ve ever seen. “what the- what are you doing here?”
His eyes stayed on yours as he stepped into your apartment and walked towards you until your back hit the wall behind you. “now you can hang up the call missy.” Without looking away, you turned off your cell phone. Still confused you tried to apologise again: “i already said it - i am sorry i didn’t call earlier”
Before you could apologize one more time, he captured your lips with his in a heated kiss and pressed you more against the wall. You kissed him back while a little whimper left your mouth. There was absolutely no self control that could have held you back. The passion in the way he kissed you told you something you haven't realized yet- he wasn’t just angry, he was horny. You felt his erection pressing against his pants into your body. He was angry because he was horny for you, only wanting to fuck you.
Timothée pulled away from you and said against your lips “you know what, i understand you don't have to call me everyday, you don't belong to me anymore but remember baby” he paused “this pussy is still mine, especially tonight.” His hand slipped down, finding your already damp panties. He chuckled “looks like i am not the only one who is desperate, let’s go to your bedroom”
Everything about him made you so fucking weak. You were laing on your bed with Timothée hovering over you. Your panties already laying on the floor in the corner of the room. Your hands grabbed his hair while his were under your tshirt on your tits. He played with your nipples, you couldn't hold back your moans. He knew all of your soft spots. An overwhelming feeling overcame you while he rolled your nipples between his thumbs and index finger.
“please just fuck me Tim!” was the only thing you said between your moans.
Without an answer, he kicked his trousers down his legs and freed his rock hard dick. He grabbed a condom from your side table. You were speechless, his dick was looking even more big today. You had missed the feeling of him inside you.
“put your hand over your head and spread your legs for me” he kissed you again before whispering in your ear “you're such a slut for calling me so late, but you know what? For me it’s never too late to fuck you good.”
While he said the last words, he pushed his dick slowly into your wet desperate pussy. A loud ‘fuuuck’ was the only thing coming from your mouth. your whole body was sweating, your brain was shut down, only his name and the feeling of his dick in your mind. His moans became louder the more he felt how wet and tight you were.. Your kisses were getting more and more passionate while your tongue explored his lips and mouth. His dick was sliding in and out of you with hard long strokes, reaching your sweet spot everytime. You already felt this overwhelming feeling of your appearing orgasm. “Tim i gonna..ahhh.. gonna cum!”, “Me too baby”
With that you screamed his name while the orgasm washed over you and he shot his load into you with a loud moan. After you two came down, he laid next to you, both of you heavy breathing. He looked into your eyes with a smile on his lips. you cuddled up into his arms and whispered “i will call you in a few days again, promise..and for tonight you can sleep here if you want.”

Here have a quick blurb I wrote partially inspired by that AU where Kon thinks Danny is a clone of his that has been mixed with Kryptonite, but it's Elle who's just escaped from the GIW instead (as always feel free to use this as a writing prompt if anyone is interested):
Trigger warning for mild gore in the form of implications of dissection/vivisection, torture, dismemberment/amputation as well as implied starvation. Nothing too detailed, but Elle is in bad shape and I want to give fair warning that it is there.
-
Kon was the closest when the glowing green tear in space and time ripped open in the sky above Metropolis.
Which meant he was the first to see the tiny, injured figure falling out of it, plummeting to the ground in tattered hospital scrubs stained red and green. He moved before he could think, darting forward in the air to grab the battered body, not caring what else might come out of the ominous tear in reality above them. He didn’t care if he got chewed out for being careless, not when the body in his arms was so light and the hazy eyes looking up at him were so scared.
It was just a girl.
White hair darkening to black at the ends, blue eyes ringed with glowing green, little fangs and ashen skin with an arm severed at the elbow and a horrible Y incision carved into her chest seeping through the thin fabric of the medical scrubs she was wearing. She couldn’t be any older than Jon, weakly grabbing at his jacket with her one remaining hand as Kon flew her away from the - thankfully? - closing portal and towards the nearest emergency medical team as quickly as he could. Super strength meant he never really felt the weight of anyone he carried, but there’s something about how gaunt and thin she was that made her seem as solid as sea foam and shattered glass in his arms.
“D…anny?” The girl asked weakly, voice a painful rasp full of such weak hope as she blinked up at him through tear filled eyes. Her head lolled so she was tucking her face into his chest, fragile body shaking with sobs she wasn’t really strong enough for. “Th-ank you, thank you.”
He looked down and saw this injured girl and all that’s been done to her - her green-red blood is seeping into his uniform, her body going cold, cold, cold - and all he wanted was to crush her close and give her the kind of protective hug he’d give Jon after a rough battle. He was too afraid of hurting her more to dare to try though, instead settling on the soft hushing reassurances that she was going to be okay, that he was going to get her help as he pushed himself as hard as he could to get her to medical as quickly as possible.
When he touched down at the nearest JL base, a swarm of doctors and nurses already there and waiting with a stretcher and a crash cart, the girl in his arms gave a weak wail of terror, clinging to him as hard as her frail body would allow her to. “Please don’t let them take me again, Danny, please I can’t - I can’t…”
“Hey, hey, hey,” He shushed her, “It’s going to be okay,” He said, careful as he gently shifted her down onto the stretcher. “They’re here to help. I won’t let anyone hurt you.” It took barely a touch to pull her too-thin hand from his jacket, her small body trembling as she laid there looking up at him. The green was bleeding further into the blue, but the glow of it was starting to dim. The white in her hair sunk down further, leeching all the color out of the black, letting him see the green and red of her blood staining it as it did.
“Promise?” She was so small, Kon felt his heart breaking at the hoarse desperate whisper in her voice as she wept. He wanted to find whoever did this to this girl and tear them apart with his bare hands.
“Promise.” He swore, giving as much of a squeeze to her hand as he dared. “They’re going to fix you up and I’m going to be right here. I won’t let anything bad happen to you.”
Tim found Kon exactly where he expected to: curled up in an uncomfortable plastic chair next to the bed of the mystery girl in the med bay.
Kon hadn’t left since he’d brought the girl in, stubbornly staying at her bedside and only able to be separated from her for as long as it took for the medical staff to stabilize the girl. She’d apparently not reacted well to the doctors, even less so to the prospect of the sterile white medical bay, and Kon had been the only one that had been able to get her to calm down long enough for them to actually work on her. Eventually the doctors confirmed that she was at least enough human that standard sedatives and anesthesia would work on her safely and they were able to knock her out, but even then Kon had refused to leave.
Looking at her in person for the first time, Tim could see why.
Their young Jane Doe was cleaned up compared to the state she’d been in when Kon had caught her falling out of the portal, but she was still a long way from out of the woods. Bones predominant beneath thin, sickly skin. Bruising and scars evident and recent. Left arm already partially gone when she’d appeared, now amputated up to just below her shoulder due to the amount of damage the doctor’s had found when going over her injuries.
She was small, smaller than Damian, and best estimates had her at about the same age as Tim’s youngest brother. Same age as Jon, too. And with some of her features similar enough - the blue in her eyes, the black in her hair, the glint of fangs - that it wasn’t hard to tell that Kon saw a nightmare of the things that could happen to his baby brother when he looked at the injured girl.
There’d been a bleak joke, when medical had sent pictures over of the girl for their investigation, to try and break the painful silence that filled the room when they all looked at this battered kid. That she had Bat-adoption written all over her face and that Tim should get ready to have another sibling. Tim had a feeling though that Kon wouldn’t let her go without a fight.
“Hey,” Tim said quietly, knocking softly on the door of the room. Kon blinked up at him blearily, dark circles under his bloodshot eyes, clearly tired enough to have not even noticed Tim’s arrival to the base. “She still hasn’t woken up?”
Kon shifted on the chair, rubbing his face with his one free hand - the other still firmly curled over the sleeping girl’s where it lay on the hospital bed - before shaking his head. “No. Doctor said it might be awhile. She has some kind of regenerative ability, but from what they can tell her body is so stripped of energy and resources it’s not able to fully kick in.”
Tim sighed softly, closing the door behind him before walking over to hold out the bag he brought. “I grabbed you a couple changes of clothes and some stuff from your apartment. I figured you’d need it.”
His boyfriend looked relieved, “Thanks. One of the nurses grabbed me some spare scrubs they had lying around, but uh,” Kon lifted his foot and wiggled it, showing off how short the pink and blue bunny scrub pants were on him. “They’re not exactly the most comfortable thing. Can you?”
He motioned towards the bed and the girl laying motionless and Tim nodded. “Yeah, go ahead. I’ll watch her.”
They swapped places, Tim taking over the chair Kon had been keeping vigil in, his gloved hand reaching out to cover the girl’s instinctively as his boyfriend slipped into the adjoining bathroom to change. The girl was cool too the touch, another oddity that the medical team hadn’t been able to say for certain if it was normal for her or a sign of something wrong. She had an abnormally low heart rate as well, though any attempt at raising it to healthy levels hadn’t proven successful.
DNA tests had been attempted on the blood they’d gotten off of Kon’s uniform, but there’d been…difficulties…with the system. Bruce and Barry were working together to try and fix the strange errors they were receiving, but there was no telling how long that would take. With the portal closing as soon as it opened and no good explanation of what had caused it or where it had led to, their only real source for answers was the unconscious girl. A girl who, while perhaps not at risk of flat-lining any second anymore, was still hanging uncertainly in the balance.
“Any news on her DNA?” Kon asked as he stepped out of the bathroom, looking softer and more comfortable in a pair of sweats and a hoodie. He moved to curl up in Tim’s lap, neither of them caring that the chair was in no way meant to hold two grown men, his eyes were back on the girl again nervously chewing on his bottom lip as he did.
Tim shook his head. “No. Every time they try the system just,” Tim made a vague motion to try and explain went up in sparks, “Flash & B are trying to work it out.” He studied Kon’s face, noting the lines of worry that crept in at the corners of his eyes. “What’s wrong?”
Kon curled an arm around him, other hand moving to cup the girl’s so that her frail hand was cradled between their larger ones. “I think…” He paused, huffing for a moment before letting out a soft rumbling purr. One of those that Tim understood was meant for self-soothing. “I think she might be Kryptonian. Partially, at least. She’s obviously has more going on but…” He motioned with his hand, “Here, listen.”
He pitched his purr a little higher, smoothing it out to that low murmur that never failed to pull Tim into a comfortable sleep. Tim kept quiet, head tilted as he waited for what Kon was showing him. It took a moment, but at length he did hear it. So faint he could almost dismiss it as the hum of the AC, but no. It was the girl, still unconscious, but softly, softly responding with her own weak little purrs.
Tim frowned, mind casting back to the fact that the girl had bled both red and green. They’d assumed it was due to her alien biology, but if she was at least somewhat Kryptonian…
“I’ll have B test the samples for Kryptonite.” He said, curling around Kon a little tighter as he saw his boyfriend’s eyes widen at the idea before reaching for his com. “It’s something they can look at while waiting on the DNA results. We have an antidote if it comes back positive.” He tried to reassure.
He kept his hand curled around the girl’s fingers twining with Kon’s. He would make sure she made it.

hi! can you do one where while Lucy was pregnant, Tim and Metro answer to a case where Sava was involved and heavily injured and everyone thought it was Lucy, Tim just shutdown for a few minutes before the paramedics/Bailey says it must be Sava and that's only when Tim starts functioning again. Something like when Aaron mistaken Jake as Tim but this time Tim and Lucy aren't together physically because Lucy was on a day off or smth. 🙏🙏🙏
Chenford + Sava is mistaken as Lucy & Tim panics
I hope you like this!
I would fight for you, I'd lie for you Walk the wire for you, yeah, I'd die for you
Tim sits outside the store knowing there is a group of suspects inside and possibly a hostage. He is about to move in they just need to be given the green light so the hostage is hurt. He sees Mad Dog and Po move in to the store. He counts to ten but there’s no signal for him to move in.
And then Mad Dog’s voice sounds over the radio his voice a mix of panic and fear. “We have a heavily injured woman. It’s Detective Lucy Chen.”
Tim’s entire body deflates and before he even realizes what is happening he’s running towards the store, his heart pounding and his mouth dry. He can’t think, he can’t breathe. He sees black spots in front of his eyes and he feels dizzy. In and out. In and out
Oh god!
“Sergeant!” He hears someone calling after him he’s not even sure who it is. His mind is on Lucy and her being injured. Her being the hostage. His baby girl being in danger too. And there’s no one who could stop him from getting to Lucy.
Someone blocks him from coming into the store and he pushes at their chest but they are stronger somehow.
“Sir.” Says a voice. “You don’t—”
“That’s my wife!” He snaps through he knows his voice sounds weak. “She’s pregnant let me in!”
Someone pushes past them and Tim realizes it’s the paramedics. He’s sees the back of Bailey’s head briefly before she inside the store.
“Let. Me. In.” Tim growls angrily even though his brain still isn’t working. His mind is on Lucy. Injured. And the images in his head are terrible.
He looks up to see Mad Dog looking at him sadly, “Sir she’s—”
And then Bailey’s voice sounds from the back of the shop. “Let him in! It’s not Lucy!” She calls. Tim’s heart beats faster and he pushes past Mad Dog and runs to where there’s a group of people gathered.
Bailey sees him first and rushes over to him. “It’s not Lucy Tim. It’s Sava.” She says reassuringly
“Why was she here?” Tim asks softly trying to calm his heartbeat but knowing he won’t be calm until he sees Lucy with his own eyes.
“As far as we know she was just stopping here to get a drink.” Bailey says. “Wrong place at the wrong time.”
Tim nods although he’s not really listening. He grabs his phone out of his pocket and taps on Lucy’s name. She doesn’t answer right away and he sees black spots in front of his eyes until….
“Tim?” Her voice sounds over the phone and he slumps against the wall, his entire body feeling heavy.
“Thank god.” He breathes. “Where are you?”
“At home—what’s wrong?” She asks her voice full of concern. And he swallows knowing he has a job to do. But he’s not sure he can look at someone who looks so much like his wife.
“Um.” He starts. “There was a hostage situation and they you were hurt. But it was Sava and I feel… I feel like I can’t breathe.”
Lucy makes a soothing sound. “I’m okay baby. Other than your daughter sitting on my bladder. I’m okay.” She says.
Tim huffs out a laugh and runs his hand down his face. “I love you. Just please..” He trails off and Lucy hums in his ear.
“Breathe Tim.” She says soothingly. “Just breathe. I’m okay. Our baby girl is okay. Now go do your job and come home to me okay?”
Tim nods and pinches his nose. “I love you.” He says a little breathlessly. His heart rate is still going fast. He breathes in and out. In and out. Lucy’s fine, their daughter is fine.
“Sarge.” Says Mad Dog and he looks up to see Mad Dog looking at him. “Um I’m sorry I got confused. They look so much alike.” The man looks guilty and Tim normally would be furious at him for not waiting for proper identification, he understands.
Tim waves him off. “Don’t worry about it. It happened to me with my look a like.” He says and Mad Dog looks like he has questions but Tim talks before he can ask any.
“How’s Sava?” He asks. Mad Dog sighs and looks over to where they are cleaning up the blood.
“She’s hanging on. She was pretty badly injured but it looks like she’s going to make it. We just need to figure out which one of these idiots beat her up.” He says. Tim glances over at the three suspects handcuffed and sitting on the floor.
He sighs and motions for Mad Dog to help him lift them up. His mind is still on Lucy.
Once they are back in the shop and heading back to the station, Tim leans his head back against the headrest trying to breathe. In and out. In and out.
The other officers process the suspects and Tim heads to his office ready to finish up and go home.
When he opens his office door, he almost falls over when he sees Lucy sitting in his chair. She stands up when she sees him and heads over to him.
“Hey.” She says softly and he wraps her in his arms feeling relieved and relaxed for the first time since they found Sava.
“Hi.” He mumbles into her hair. “What are you doing here?” She runs her fingers through his hair knowing it calms him.
“I could tell you were still.. worried. And I knew you wouldn’t relax until you saw me.” She says and he shakes his head because she really does know him.
He brings her in and sways with her for a little bit. “I love you.” He says his voice thick with emotion again. “I don’t know what I would have done if—”
“Hey.” She says turning his face towards her. “I’m fine Tim.” She places his hand on her heart. He feels it beating against his hand and then moves it down to her stomach where their baby girl rests and grows. 2 more months and they would be holding her in their arms.
“I’m okay.” Lucy repeats and Tim nods and kisses her while his hand is still on her belly. “How long until you are off?”
Tim shrugs looking at his desk behind him. “Soon. I hope.” He says. She nods and kisses him one more time before she turns to walk out the door.
Tim watches her go and then sits down at his desk finally being able to breathe normally. She’s okay. Their baby girl is okay. He could do his job knowing that she was safe.
He still was counting down the minutes until she was back in his arms and he was at home. He glances at the pictures on his desk, one of their wedding day and a recent picture of them. And then tucked inside one of the frames was their daughter’s first ultrasound. The one before they even knew what she was. He smiles and gets back to work. He’s got this.
***
When he gets home he wraps Lucy in his arms and doesn’t let her go for the rest of the night. He knows with their jobs there’s no certainty either of them will come home and they could be like Sava and just get caught at the wrong place at the wrong time. But he’s going to make sure to try and always come home to her just like she will always try to come home to him.
And that’s something he can hold on to.

I love this ask so much!! This is the first time writing for something that wasn’t an essay so please bear with me, this was really fun to write overall!! idk if I did this right because I’m not to fond of pit madness but it’s still a fun concept so this is my take on it
Warnings: PTSD, aggressive behavior, language
It was getting bad, really bad, extremely fucking bad. Jason was supposed to be getting ready for patrol. He went to Wayne manor to get one of his gadgets fixed up since the bat cave seemed to have every death trap and work bench in history. Jason was in the batcave, leaning against a wall trying to keep calm, focus on his hands, the colors he was seeing, anything but the pounding in his head and the urge to choke someone until they take one last breath.
There were footsteps, of fucking course, they weren’t heavy like Bruce’s, not as steep as Dick’s, and not as feathery as Tim’s.
“Do you plan on leaving or are you just gonna lean on my workspace?” Damian said with Witt, hands on his hips as he gave Jason a glance before noticing Jason’s eyes and how they looked glassy and angry
“Are you feeling alright?” Damian asked with a stand offish tone before letting his arms go down to his sides
“Fine just- want to be alone” Jason stumbled, his gaze looking away from Damian, his voice just wanted to make him pounce
“Because leaving you alone with the most deadly weapons would keep you and everyone feeling safe?” Damian replied, always so damn snarky, Jason thought.
He wanted to reply back with his own snarky, almost demeaning reply but he could only muster up a “Jesus I’m-I’m fine okay? I’ll be out in a minute, go.” Jason shivered, he crossed his arms over his stomach
“Seriously? You’re obviously not okay, Jason. I’ll go get father-“ Damian’s voice was cut off by a “NO! Do NOT get Bruce- Just-“ Jason lets out a shaken breath as he pinches the bridge of his nose. Frustrated, and scared, thats what Jason was right now.
"Fine. But I can’t leave you here, what’s wrong?” Damian’s voice was still normal but more with a hint concern when he didn’t get a response, only Jason’s eyes aimlessly looking at the wall to Damian’s right.
Jason was out of it, he wasn’t hearing a voice or anything other then the sound of a crowbar hit his ribs, his bones snapping. It made him aggressive thinking about what he could’ve done, how weak and hopeless he felt. He snapped his head forward when he heard a loud *SNAP* in front of him to be met with Damian’s hands clasped together before putting them down.
“You should lay down. Zoning out while feeling fatigued could mean you have hypoglycemia, do you not consume enough sugar?" He thought he was simply fatigued? Jason wasn't necessarily mad about that, it was better then him knowing he felt a need to quite literally beat someone to death and that he was reliving hell.
"Damian. Go. Please" He practically begged as his breaths sharpened. He didn't want to hurt anyone, but if he kept hearing this nagging, aching voice he would.
"I really don't necessarily like you but i know that you clearly need help, and said 'help' cannot be provided in the bat cave of all places" Damian didn't dislike his brother at all but he did right now he was being stubborn! Thats how Damian viewed it so he went on, and on for about 20 seconds before Jason practically lunged forward
"Listen, you are being a fucking- Damian, i'm begging just- don't talk" Jason's eyes became glassy as he walked off. Damian was opened his mouth to speak but was cut off
"I-I'll go to my room just- leave me alone" Jason walked as if he was drunk. Damian watched from a distance, following behind Jason to make it to his room until he came to a stop halfway in the hallway.
Jason nearly fell on his ass if his hand wasn't leaning on the wall. Nothing was off about the house just an anomaly, said anomaly being the chair he was sat in for months that felt like a decade. Jason knew it wasn't real but it was unnerving with the silence. He stared at the blood on the back, the arm rests with the ropes before snapping out of it. Walking forward until he got to his room. He slammed the door closed as he stumbled to his bed with a cry.
Damian was worried, he cared about his family even if he didn't act like it. He wasn't good at comforting people, so when he is told more then two times he should be alone he wanted to leave him alone. But he also didn't want his brother to feel alone. He remembered those cookies Alfred had made, chocolate chip with fudge in the middle, a complete sugar overdose that Jason *somehow* liked.
Jason's head pounded like a small alien was trying to take over his brain. He took the pain killers in his bedside drawer, which obviously wouldn't cut it off but would at least ease it, even if it was only a tiny bit. He laid on his bed as he felt like he was melting, the sounds of everything that had happened, the voices, everything was too much until there was the small click of his door opening. The talking in his head stopped and they sounds were fainting as glass was lightly heard tapping the carpeted floor.
He sat up, seeing cookies sat by his door he wobbly went to the plate, picked it up and brought it back to the bed. He unconsciously picked up a cookie and bit into it. His favorite cookie since he was 9. The fudge was warm and the chocolate chips were cold. He looked down at the plate, about to pick another one up before seeing a blue sticky note that read 'i've made Alfred make another batch. He says they will be done in about 28 minutes. Please come down into the living room by then so we can play chess PS: i will win' was wrote in red pen ink. Jason rolled his eyes as a grin threatened his lips. The pounding was like a light heartbeat now, no voices, no sounds, no anything. Maybe it was just low blood sugar after all.

Hello! I don’t know if you know this character well enough, but I’ll try my best. Can you please make some kind of scenario with G1 Sunstreaker?
Good day, dear anonymous!
I'm very sorry that completing this has taken so much time... But, finally, I've come up with an idea for the writing. Perhaps, it has turned out too fluffy...
Nevertheless, hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
Not alone.
- Y/n!
You turned – your eyes locked on the lemon-yellow frame of Sunstreaker. Your big autobot friend had just returned from the mission: his crimson brother was somewhere nearby too since you could hear his loud crispy voice; he was buzzing annoyingly like a big bug in a child's fist. Definitely, boasting again… If there was a battle, those two inevitably found themselves right in the middle of it – and none of the twins was shy to show off, talking about their victories and crazy adventures. Though, that time it seemed like one of the young heroes decided to spend some time with a little human instead…
- Hi, pal! How’s it goin’? – You tried to make your voice sound in the most optimistic way possible, though a careful listener would easily recognise you pretended.
- We’ve fried some ‘cons, obviously! You should have seen how their armor got covered with that appetizing crisp! – He went down on his knee, his blue optics looking attentively in your eyes. – A usual day, really… But I see there’s somethin’ wrong. Mind to tell me?
- It's nothing. Well... I don’t know. It’s not that important. – Your gaze avoided his, your hands going back and forth, rubbing your hips and leaving long white stripes on the jeans.
There were many other bots around. Optimus, Ironhide, First Aid… Of course, they were very compassionate and understanding - but you didn’t want to talk about your problems while it was so crowded. As for Sunny, you felt grateful for being cared about, especially if it was someone who usually cared about himself more than about anyone else… Still, such stuff were not for everyone to know…
There were many things going wrong in your life lately. It would be hard to count them all… However, it didn’t mean you would let yourself act like a baby and cry on a random shoulder – no matter fleshy or steely. The bots and people working with them had a lot of things to do. Decepticons never lost a chance to cause even a tiny trouble – though, honestly, usually it was a complete disaster. It was a war… There was no time for being weak. The world wouldn’t save itself.
Sunstreaker titled his helm on a side and smiled softly.
- I thought of a ride around the base… I wondered if you'd like to join me, huh? I doubt you will reject such a cool guy like me.
- Sure not, Sunny. – You couldn’t help but smirked teasingly at his charming behaviour. - Though, I’m afraid to burn down like those ‘cons. It’s getting kinda hot around here, haven't you noticed?
He laughed lightheartedly, you accompanied him. Then he turned into his vehicle mode. Getting in the car, you heard Wheeljack calling for you two:
- Hey, guys! Where are you going?
- Oh, doc! It's just a little ride!
- Don’t you remember, Streaker – you and Sideswipe are helping me in the lab this evenin’!
- Don’t worry, doc! You know, you can count on us!
- Yeah… I don't think so after the previous time I…
- Whatever, bye!
Before the inventor could say anything else, the Lamborghini drove off the place at full speed, heading to the exit.
Evening air was refreshing; it carried soothing scents of warm sand and wild flowers. Rubby-gold clouds swam in the peach sky; tired ochre sun was slightly touching the edge of the horizon. The bot was silent. It was a little bit surprising, though you was grateful. You didn’t want to chat at that moment.
Looking at the rocky, orange landscape, you sighed with satisfaction. That was exactly that you needed. Noisy and humid atmosphere of the base tired you up; Sunstreaker saw this perfectly at the very minute he spotted you on that corner. He knew you well enough. You two didn’t waste much time on long preludes at the first meeting and got along just fine. The more you hanged out together, the closer you became. So, you quickly reached the point when friends start reading each other’s minds.
He was enjoying your presence, your body lying conveniently on his cushy seats and your hands touching the steering wheel. Though you weren't a cybotronian, you were one of the most important souls in the world for him – after his beloved brother, of course. And your low spirit concerned him much. He really wanted to speak to you there and then, however, he saw it wasn’t a good moment. Well, you would be at your secret place soon anyways – there he would ask…
After one-two kilometers he slowed down and pulled over to the side road which soon made its way upwards a sloping hill. There were much more plants than before; slim and dry trunks of acacias surrounded you, throwing long lavender shades at the car and the passenger inside. Endless blue sea of the heavens was broken into pieces of rainbow glass with thin, blooming brunches. The bot stopped; you hopped out and ran forward to a long pink cliff looming behind the trees. Sunstreaker followed, already on his feet too.
The cliff was a good spot for relaxation. It was calm, quiet, peaceful; a colorful blooming plain and a small bunch of the trees created a beautiful, almost wild landscape. Everywhere you could see was a domain of prairie. Though, downwards, there was a small town in a valley; the streetlights always switched on pretty early, they looked like fireflies sitting on the ancient eastern carpet. At that moment they were shining too – tiny stars floating in the violet air. Tough stone was drowning in plants; yellow grass tickled your bare ankles. The grove on the left rustled softly in the coming twilights; wide waves were walking over the fields.
- So… Now, we are alone. – The bot began, looking at the transparent, smoky moon starting its way above the world. – Maybe, now could you tell me?
You shrugged your shoulders, then looked at your boots – a tiny ant was running around your foot helplessly. You took a long stalk and helped the insect down on the ground.
- I don’t know. It’s… a lot.
The bot chuckled.
- I’m all audio sensors.
- Since when have you become so thoughtful, buddy?
- Since I’ve known you!
- Really? Ok, ok…
You were talking till the sun sat and the sky got covered in its cute glittering freckles. The wind rose; it was already chilly, almost cold. Thin summer shirt wasn’t able to protect you from the cooling night weather. You rubbed your forearms, trying to regain warmth; Sunstreaker glanced at your shivering figure, worried.
- Are you cold, little one? – He asked.
- Yeah… A bit. I think, it would be better for us to return.
- Agreed… - He responded, transforming…
At base everyone had been sleeping when you came. Trying not to wake the comrades up (especially, Wheeljack), you sneaked inside and turned into one of the corridors, heading to your quarters.
- Are you sure you’ll be all right on your own? – Your friend kneeled and let you climb on his large flat palm. His optics were gleaming softly in the darkness.
- Are there any other options? – You smiled.
- Well… - His voice became shaky. – I could… take you with me…
- It would be uncomfortable for both of us, don’t you think?
He thought for a minute or two, then turned to you, expression of his faceplate showing a mix of hope and... embarrassment?!
- Actually, I have an idea… But I don’t know if you…
- Just say it out loud, boy.
He took a deep “breath”, stabilizing his systems.
- I could… I could put you in my fuel tank. So, you would be safe while sleeping and… not alone as well.
You heart skipped a beat.
- Wait, wait, wait… But transformers’ fueltanks work in the same way human stomachs do, don’t they?
- Still, we can’t process organic materials, remember?
He had a point. You exhaled.
- Right… Nevertheless, it sounds so crazy…
- I understand. So... It’s your choice.
You rubbed your chin, considering the offer. On one hand, you were about to be swallowed(!) alive by a metal titan and spend a whole night inside him without any guaranties that something wouldn’t go wrong. But at the same time, he was your best friend; you could trust him. After all, that all was just a matter of trust.
You met his gaze once again - the bot waited for your decision, though you could see the flames of impatience jumping in his optics.
- I… I don’t mind. I know you won’t hurt me.
You could tell he was happy to hear that; tension released the bot’s figure, he grinned joyfully like a big cat.
- Wow! Thank you, Y/N! I swear it's gonna be the best experience possible for you!
- Fine, big guy! Let’s get it over with…
He opened the door of the room he and his brother were sharing. Sideswipe was snoring peacefully on his berth; he didn’t notice neither of you and didn’t hear how Sunstreaker closed the door and lied on his own bed.
- Shhhh… - He whispered as he saw you trying to say something. – He won’t bother us. Sides won’t open his optics even if the skies crack on two.
You giggled. But the bot’s faceplate suddenly went sober.
- Are you still sure?
You nodded confidently.
- Perfect… If anything scares you, just call for me - I'll stop and let you out. Don’t be shy, Ok?
- Ok.
- Good… Now, please, hold still…
His grip tightened a little as you were lifted to his opening mouth. Your feet were laid on something wet and warm – it wrapped around them, coating you in heavy, slick slime. Tingles ran down your spine as you realized it was his glossa tasting you, and the slime was the drool coaxing your limbs, preparing you for… for the way down. Sunstreaker’s throat produced a silent moan of pleasure – it seemed he liked your flavor! Huh… You couldn’t help but blushed, thinking about you being such a tasty tiny candy.
Meanwhile, the bot very gently pushed you further, to the pharynx. Your hands finally met with the pulsing, smooth tongue which leaned to them eagerly, then slipped behind you back. The servo loosened up; now you were in the bot’s mouth entirely, being held by his long, plushie glossa. Misty, hot air filled your lungs; it was too dark to see, but you could feel your toes wriggling in the open space – the awaiting entrance of the esophagus. Streams of oily saliva vanished in that black hole with loud, delicious sounds of gulps. At first, they frightened you; instinctively, you grabbed the flesh of your improvised bed and made an attempt to crawl away from the danger. However, the very minute you did that, the swallows faded. Sunstreacker froze still, granting you a chance to stop – undoubtedly, it would disappoint him, but he didn’t want to startle his human friend. You took a big breath and forced yourself to calm down. There was nothing that would mean harm to you. The mech wouldn’t hurt you - he loved you! You went through so many things together – undeniably, he was reckless sometimes, but he wouldn’t do anything that would lead to death of those he valued the most.
Hesitantly, you patted the glossa – it licked your cheek playfully, comforting, then bend over, letting you slide back to the throat. Powerful metal muscles contracted around your ankles and tugged you in the comforting embrace of the esophagus.
Trembling, the bot outlined a small round bulge on his neck with his digit as you were fully pulled inside his throat. He swallowed hard, yet carefully, sending your warm, fragile body further down his huge tough body. The mech could still sense you wriggle, moving deeper and deeper inside beneath his chest plates. Some more slow seconds – and you arrived at your destination, being dropped into whining chamber of the alien “stomach”, making a nice little bulge on Sunstreaker’s abdomen.
His servo leisurely traced your path and stayed on the lump, massaging it slightly. Inside, it was gurgly and wet, but cozily warm and soft. You felt your friend’s indecisive caresses and pressed your hand against a thick grey wall permeated with long thin energon cables from the bottom to the top.
- How are you, Y/N? Is it OK?
- Yes, Sunny, it is. Don’t worry so much! You did great, by the way…
- Oh… That’s good to hear, I guess… You too.
- Thanks…
It was awkward to have a conversation in that position, so neither of you said a word anymore. You rested against the plump bumps of the fueltank rubbing at you lovingly; soothing quiet sparkbeat and dim light coming from the walls as well as gentle growling sounds and warmth made its work – your eyelids soon grew heavy, you yawned and snuggled into the squishy metal.
- Sweet dreams, Sunny.
The bot curled up around you, hugging his growling, full middle.
- Same for you, dear.

why do I feel the need of having a timmy angst after his coachella makeout???? 😭🥺🥲 why am I here asking this to you for writing one????
I’ve gotten tons of cheating Tim requests and the Coachella kiss, so I’m combining them into one right here. Hope you enjoy!
A Moment of Weakness
Warnings: angst, cheating, fluff
Tumblr media
“Y/n! I’m home, baby!” Timothee called from the front door. You were still in your bedroom and had been preparing for this moment since the night before, when you found out your “boyfriend” was a lying, cheating son of a bitch. You gathered the picture you printed online and your phone and met him at the front door.
He was beaming, so happy to see you and the sight of it made you want to cry. Normally, you’d run and throw yourself into his arms, covering every inch of visible skin in kisses. He ruined that.
Timothee dropped his bags and held his arms out for you. Instead of embracing him, you shoved the picture into his chest, he stumbled back a little bit and wore a shocked and confused expression.
“What is this?” Timothee asked.
“Look at it and you tell me,” your voice shook but you had to stay strong.
He squinted, studying the photo. It was printed form your phone and the quality was horrendous and blurry. Still, anyone with eyes could tell it was a picture of two people kissing, their bodies close together.
“You don’t think this is me, do you?” Timothee turned the photo to you.
“Timothee. It is you. That’s your fucking clothes, your hat. That man has the same stature as you. You can even see your stupid fucking rings shining from flash.”
“That’s not me I don’t remember it.” He sounded confident, but so were you.
“Maybe this will jog your memory.” You shoved your phone in his face, the video of him and the woman making out already playing. Like the photo, it was blurry and taken from far away. But it was him.
He took your phone, playing the video again, “Y/n...I...I don’t remember this.”
You pushed him and his back hit the door, “that’s fucking worse, Timothee. At least fucking own it. What the fuck is wrong with you!?”
You ran your fingers through your hair, shoving his hand off of your shoulder as he attempted to console you, “wait, it gets better.” You snatched your phone from Timothee’s hands, switching the tab to another article you had pulled up and prepared for him. An article featuring the woman from the video, toying with the fact that she kissed Timothee Chalamet.
Timothee read the article, his eyes rapidly scanning your phone. You snatched it form him, too annoyed and hurt to care if he read the whole thing or not. Again, he tried to embrace you, and you knew if he did, you’d melt into a puddle of tears. You didn’t want him breaking you more than he already had.
“Y/n-”
“No, don’t say my name. I am so embarrassed! Do you know how many people have texted me about this, called me about this, do you know how many articles that have already been published talking about you cheating on me?! I can’t believe you, Timothee.”
You started toward your bedroom, Timothee cut your path off, standing in front of you blocking you from traveling any further. His long arms touched either side of the wall in the hallway, “Listen, I had a lot to drink and....a lot to smoke that night-”
“Oh god,” you shook your head, turning back in the other direction, not bothering to hide your disgusted tone. Timothee intercepted, somehow managing to get in front of you again.
“Listen to me!” He yelled.
You stood there, eyes shaking with sadness and hurt, your heart was broken, and you were quite sure he could see it through your eyes. You were quiet, waiting for him to speak.
“It was a moment of weakness,” even as he cried, he was beautiful, and that pissed you off even more. “I wasn’t in the right mind; I was not my self right there. That is me, but it is not me. Please believe me. I love you.”
Tears spilled down your cheeks and you wanted him to kiss each one away. You wanted him to love you, and you wanted to love him and forget. But you wouldn’t be able to, not for a long time.
“I need to not be around you for a while,” you finally said, “I’m going to stay with a friend, do you think you can manage to keep your hands and your mouth to yourself while I’m away?”
“Yes,” Timothee answered, defeated.
He dropped an arm, letting you pass. You had already packed a bag, knowing you would want to be away from him after you confronted him. You grabbed it hand headed for the door, but before walking out, you turned to him.
“You know what makes it even worse?”
Timothee turned to look at you, his eyes already swelling from the abundance of tears he’d produced.
“A friend of mine asked me how I was so comfortable with you being away for weeks at a time. I told her that it was because I trusted you and I loved you, and I’ll be damned if you didn’t play me for a fool.”
You shut the door and you didn’t speak to him for a week. During your time away, you reflected on your relationship with Timothee. He loved you and even though he fucked up, you loved him. Ultimately, you believed him. You believed that he was drunk, and he always smoked around his friends, he was under the influence and even though you were still pissed at him, and would be for a long time, you decided to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Timothee was asleep on the couch when you walked back into the apartment. You dropped your bag and made your way to him, smiling as you realized he was covered with your favorite blanket and his head was resting on your pillow. You climbed over him, snuggling yourself in between the back of the couch and Timothee’s side. He stirred at the movement, humming lightly in his sleep, before he realized that it was you who disturbed him. His arms wrapped around your body firmly, pulling you on top of him.
“I didn’t think you’d come back,” his voice was laced with sleep and cracked a little as he talked.
“I decided to believe you,” you lifted your head a little to meet his eyes while you rested on his chest. “And I love you.”
“You don’t trust me anymore though.” He said into your hair, “I don’t blame you.  I hate myself for what I did, for what it did to you.”
“It’s going to take a while for me to fully get over this, but I know you’ll earn it back.”
“I don’t deserve you.”
You sat up, straddling his waist, wondering what his thoughts had been like while you were gone. You were harsh, but you didn’t regret it, he needed to hear how you felt and you needed him to understand the position he put you in, the heartache he caused.
“Don’t say that.” You leaned down to press your lips against his, lingering slightly before pulling away.
“It’s true, and if you’re still allowing me in your life then I’m going to spend the rest of mine making this up to you. You are the only one I want. The only one that matters, the only one I’ll ever love. I am so sorry I hurt you.”
And that was all you needed to hear to forgive him.

||⏳it's never to late⌛|| written by me
Pairing:Geto x reader
Plot:you're struck by an illness but who said it's too late for doing stuff you love?

Tumblr media Tumblr media
"I have a month to live" you said drily rubbing your arm looking away from Geto. For a few seconds that followed this sentence, everything felt frozen. His heart beating, his eyes darting, his mind racing. Was this… a joke? But your words lacked any hint of humor. “What… you’re dying?” "I don't..know maybe..that was the doctor told me.." His jaw went slack, as his arms slid down to his sides. What the hell? How was this possible? His body felt as if it was made of jelly. He took a step back, his expression slowly changing… to anger, to fear, to shock, before settling on disbelief. He took another step back. “You’re joking. You’re joking with me. Please… tell me you’re joking. That that doctor is lying.” You shoocked your head "I'm not..I mean..I didn't even know I had this illness but it's slowly killing me without pain..just like..a blind death..that's what the doctor told me, he too was shocked" His breathing felt like he was trying to suck in air with a thin straw. His whole body felt frozen in shock. It wasn’t fair! His heart was beating so fast he couldn’t think straight. This felt wrong on so many levels. Everything felt wrong. Why?! Why were you dying?! Why did this have to happen?! “How are you so… okay with that?” "Because I lived happily and did what I needed to do" You said mustering your usual kind smile He took several deep breaths, his eyes narrowing. This couldn’t be it, why were you already accepting this? He took a step towards you (he was now close enough for you to touch), and he took your hands. “No. That’s not the end of it. You are not allowed to just… disappear like this.” "But I'm okay with it..I wouldn't feel pain or anything just like..sleeping you know?" He paused, holding your hands close to his chest as he looked you in the eye. Your gaze was so… calm. So accepting. “Well I’m- I’m not okay with it. And I won’t allow you to just… die. We’re getting another opinion, we’re- we’re going to find a solution to this.” "Geto..." you said calmly "I'm okay with this..." He squeezed your hands as he closed his eyes, his jaw clenching. He knew you weren’t joking. You weren’t messing with him, it wasn’t part of some cruel joke. His breath hitched as he squeezed his eyes tightly shut. You meant it when you said you were okay with it. That was the terrifying part, that you didn’t even want to fight this. “I’m… not.” "I know ..I'm sorry if..I'm a burden maybe this will help you so that I will never make you suffer" His anger turned to hurt, pain that could only be found in his expression and tone of voice. His jaw clenched as he let go of your hands. “Don’t… even think like that. You aren’t my burden. You aren’t hurting me. You’re… you are-“ His words had no follow up. He didn’t know what his feelings for you were, love, attachment, friendship…? Your instinct tooked the better of you so you kissed Geto on his mouth  "I love you Geto,so so much, I'm sorry that it camed to this" your voice was shaky and you looked at him with regret, regret that you didn't have told him sooner how you really felt His lips parted in surprise, and he was left speechless as you kissed him. Your words left him breathless and your lips made his knees weak. Your body pressed against his and your arms wrapped around him. He let out a short gasp, eyes squeezed shut as he let himself fall into this moment. A hand came up and cupped your cheek against his, holding you close to him. "I know it's strange to ask but...do you wanna ..." Your words faded into the background as this moment was all that mattered. His body pressed closer and his hands shifted to your back, pressing him into you. A small smile appeared on his lips and the answer was already in his eyes. Yes. Yes. A million times yes. "But it feels like I'm doing this because I'm gonna die soon..and I don't want to force you either...I.. don't know what to do"
He leaned back a bit until he could look into your eyes without his lips being against yours. They were the most beautiful eyes he had ever seen, like the purest shade of amethyst. He smiled once again, his voice soft as he took in a deep breath. “You aren’t forcing me, and it doesn’t matter that you’re going to die. Because in the time you have left, I want to spend that time loving every second that we spend together. I want you."
He leaned forward once again, allowing your lips to press against his. His hand cupped the back of your neck, pulling you against him as the other hand wrapped around your waist and he pulled you in tightly. Your lips felt warm, almost hot and he couldn’t contain the slight moan that escaped him and he kissed back with enthusiasm.
The passion grew rapidly, his lips moved with yours in a rhythm, your bodies pressed tightly together. The world grew distant as the only sound was the two of you kissing. He couldn’t help but close his eyes, enjoying the heat that seemed to build by the second. His hands had traced down your back, his fingers curling around to rest on your lower back. His lips tasted you, and his kisses moved down your neck.
"Mhm mhn anhn" you phanted biting your lip
He had no control over himself and his breath grew heavy as his lips travelled down your neck. Your taste was one he never wanted to lose. His hands squeezed you tightly as he nibbled and licked your neck. One hand slid up to behind your head, pushing down your hair to reveal the nape of your neck. He traced it with his lips, nibbling gently before moving back up to your mouth. His hand began sliding under your top.
“Mm…” He pulled away after just a bit, looking deeply into his eyes and biting his lower lips. His eyes grew heavy with desire for you. He had no words right now, but you could see just how much he wanted you in his actions. His hand glided down the front of your shirt and rested against your chest. His thumbs brushed against you, he could feel your heart beating… just under the thin material. He wanted more.
His eyes grew heavy, desire beginning to cloud them. His movements became frantic, his hand beginning to move slowly up your shirt. He kissed you again, this time more roughly and urgently. He couldn’t stay still, his hands growing restless as the two of you kissed like there was nothing but each other in this room. He pushed himself into you, leaning you close as he pushed his body against yours. A hand ran along your side, brushing against your hip as a sharp intake of breath could be heard. "Ah ahnn ah" you gripped Geto shoulder moaning, gentle but firm trust felt like heaven
Your moans felt like a reward. You liked what he was doing, he hadn’t done something wrong or crossed a boundary. Your moan of approval sent him a wave of confidence, and he bit his lip once again. Your body felt so good and warm, and you sounded even better. He couldn’t help but move just a bit faster now as his fingers began tracing along a line on your skin. He kissed you, and kissed you more."Ah Geto ahn" you moaned in a frenzy as you were alredy close
Your moans were like a signal to him, telling him to be even rougher. He bit his lip, taking in the sights of you in front of him once again. You were such a beautiful sight. Your neck, your lips… your body. Your moan was like music to his ears. It turned him on, sending him closer to the edge. He moved more, his hands pressing down on your skin as his body rubbed against yours. “Hnnggg… you…I ..love you y/n” His breathing became rapid as he moved against you, his hands beginning to move quickly, squeezing and kissing. Your body felt so good, so nice. His movements weren’t as controlled anymore, they were more frantic. You were making him lose control of himself. “Hnnnngg… mmnn…” His voice was almost breathless, and you could see that his entire body was reacting to you. His hands ran up your back before gripping the material of your shirt. His breathing became heavier and his lips came down to your neck, his tongue began to trace circles around it. He wanted more. Your body was feeling nice and warm, and it was pushing him off the edge…
You moaned along with him moaning his name repeatedly as you were nearing your release too
“Ah… ah… AHH!” His lips were against your neck, your hot breath tickled his skin, his mouth opening and releasing a moan. His hands began to squeeze and his lips began to nibble and kiss. His body rubbed against you harder and harder. There was no stopping that feeling now, and your moan only sped up his movements.
He moaned again, his head leaning back as he felt the build of pleasure, the heat that was growing by the second. Your body felt so good, that sensation he couldn’t explain. You were driving him over the edge, and he didn’t care anymore. He wanted you, and he was going to have you. Your body felt like heaven to him as his movements quickened even more. "G..geto..ah geto!" You moaned gripping his shoulder tightly digging in
“Ah…” His moan was cut short as he felt both of you hit your peak. He grunted, the feeling overwhelming him. You felt hot and sweaty, and so did he. Your legs wrapped around him tightly, you pulled him close as he thrust once again. Your breath was heavy, you were both panting and your hands gripped his shoulders tightly as his body shuddered.
He was still breathing heavily, trying to come back to his senses. His eyes were closed as he continued to thrust at a slower pace, and his body pressed against you. It felt nice, and was exactly what he wanted. He wasn’t in a rush, he wanted to stay in this moment for a little while longer.
He remained against you. His hands found a place at the back of your neck as he pushed himself against you, letting his breath fall onto you. You felt good, his body fitting perfectly with yours as he remained in you. He didn’t plan to pull out just yet, you felt so nice and snug. He didn’'t want this feeling to end at all, even if the world started to blur out it would be more than okay. You were worth all of this… you meant everything to him and for that, he was happy.
“I- I don’t want this to end...I want to stay like this forever,” He groaned in delight, feeling you against him made him feel like he would explode from how much he was enjoying himself. He was almost in a trance, and you were the beautiful creature in front of him that made him feel these beautiful, wonderful feelings.
“You’re… so… warm”
“You’re… so… warm” He spoke softly between grunts as his breath grew shallow. His body moved with you, as a wave of pleasure washed over him once again. He couldn’t keep a soft moan from escaping his lips, his tongue tracing your neck as he continued to move against you.
The feeling went from euphoric to pure ecstasy, like an explosion of happiness and pleasure had taken place deep within. Your bodies were pressed together and your breaths met, sending you both into a state of relief and euphoria. The feeling made him squeeze you as hard as he could, taking deep breaths just to savor this moment. You came together and it was a feeling he would never forget.
He held you tightly, wrapping his legs around you as he continued this soft and slow pace for a while before slowly pulling out. His body lay on top of yours, and he was still coming down a bit. He was smiling as you both rested, breathing heavily. His body lay on top of yours, your scent filling his nostrils as your breath matched his. You were right there, right there with him and this feeling was so nice… it was perfect. He wanted this forever, but the back of his mind told him that it couldn’t last.
"Geto..do you think we did something wrong?" He raised an eyebrow, as he looked down at you. His body lay against yours but he wasn’t feeling weak or tired, just satisfied. He was glad that you had chosen to trust him with this moment. He took a deep breath, before kissing your forehead and placing a hand on your side. “What do you mean? I’m not feeling anything wrong, are you?” "No it's just..it's still..I know you told it was okay but..I will die..and still I did sex with you.." you looked down before looking at him with teary eyes "am I a bad person?"
He moved so that he could prop himself up on his elbows to look down at you. He smiled softly as he looked down at you, as his hand moved up and wiped your tears away. You weren’t a bad person, you did nothing wrong. "Sweetheart... you did nothing wrong. I told you before, I don’t care if you're going to die. I just wanted to be with you and share this moment with you. I... wanted this."
"Then why I feel so wrong? Why when they told me that i was dying i felt..the need to do this with you? I tought I had more time" You sobbed wiping away your tears but more comed, you felt miserable and pathetic
He moved so that he could hug you properly, pulling you in close and making sure you were wrapped in his arms. He tried to calm you down, stroking your hair and wiping away your tears. "Darling... you wanted closure. You wanted to share an intimate moment with me, and that is what happened. It's okay for you to feel like this, but nothing you did was wrong. I told you before, I wasn't upset with you. I'm glad we shared this moment together."
You sobbed letting out your frustration of this shitty situation
He held you close to him, rubbing the back of his hand up and down your spine. You were crying, and he didn’t like to see you like this. He wanted things to be easier, he wanted this to be simple but it was nothing of the sort. Your body was pressed up against him, and your sobs were breaking his heart. "Shh... It's okay, I know this is all just so... unfair to you. I wish it was easier, but it isn’t. This is just how things turned out." "I feel tired..." “Let your body rest, *sweetheart.” He pulled you back close to him, his body pressed against you as you lay in his arms. “We can talk more later, for now rest.”
"But what if my illness take me away...I told.you it looks like sleeping...I wouldn't feel anything but..I'm not prepared.." He didn’t say anything at first, his fingers rubbed up and down your back as he contemplated what to say. You were scared, you knew you were going to die, and you weren’t prepared either. He pulled you a bit closer, resting his chin on the top of your head. “You’ll be okay… I promise. I’ll be there right beside you, okay?”
"Even if I die?" “Even if you die” His voice wavered, but he swallowed the fear that came with the thought of you possibly dying. “I will never leave you. I’m going to be there with you every step of the way. I promise, I will never let you be alone.”
His breath hitched when you went limp, as if you were already gone. A wave of panic overcame him but he quickly shook his head. Your chest still rose and fell with breaths, your heartbeat was still present. His hands kept a rhythm brushing against you, until you relaxed more in his arms. He sat there, watching you as your body settled more and more. It sent more waves of panic through him, but your breathing assured him. You were still here, still alive. You still had more time.
You died on December 25th when Geto tooked you to watch the fireworks for Christmas, you were so peaceful sitting on the bench.
Bonus(previous of what happened before reader death)
Geto sat on the bench alongside you, taking in the beauty of the moment. The lights of Christmas were lighting up the air, making you feel at home. You were smiling, and your breath was warm as it filled that silent night with the sound of life. It was a perfect night, you felt safe and protected. He leaned against you, making you feel all sorts of warm and happy emotions as you watched the lights dance in front of you.
Geto felt your body relax in his arms, as if you were already gone. His eyes shot open and he held tighter to you, his voice beginning to waiver. He didn’t want to believe it or look at the state of your body being limp, he didn’t want to believe any of this. His mind was flooded with panic and worry, he began to tear up as you lay lifeless in his arms.
The tears fell from his eyes despite his efforts, he felt like his whole world had ended. His body shook as he felt the overwhelming emotion wash over him. Your hand slit out of his as you lay lifeless in his arms, the one thing he feared more than anything else had happened. You were gone, ripped from him before he could even hold you close again. His voice was filled with sobs and gasps, it was clear that he didn’t want to let go of you.
"N..no p..please just a little bit more....p..please" Tears ran down his face as he continued to cling into your lifeless body, his voice breaking as he continued to sob. He was so shaken by this turn of events, you were supposed to have a bit more time. He was supposed to spend this whole month with you, you were supposed to be his for a while longer.
His hands began to shake, his fingers curling into claws as his heart thumped in his chest. You weren’t breathing, your heartbeat had gone silent, your body was lifeless. He began to cry uncontrollably, as he rocked your body back and forth hoping it was all a bad dream. He didn’t want this, this wasn’t what he wanted, he didn’t want you to leave him like this.
“No, no no… You… you can’t leave. Not like this… I promised you.. I promised I would never let you be alone. You were supposed to be here, with me… you were supposed to have more time… why…” His voice grew shaky, and his tears began to spill more and more onto your body. You had been ripped away from him, and he was too late to save you. He didn’t want this moment to be a reality, but it was. You were gone, and he was heartbroken.
It just wasn’t fair….... It wasn’t fair.
As the fireworks went off Geto sobbing filled the scene as he holded onto your body wailing, they sparkled as if they were the little bits of your soul that remained. Your soul will continue to shine in the fireworks :)

“Why the hell is there glitter everywhere?”
Shit. Tim was hoping to have it all cleaned up by now.
“Long story, don’t ask,” Tim calls, smoothing a comforter over the freshly made bed. He thinks he’s gotten most of it out of the bedroom—that and the en suite were the worst areas, but the living room took a pretty big hit as well.
“Okay, but you know I gotta ask, baby bird,” Jason says, appearing in their doorway. He’s lost his boots and gloves, but he’s still wearing his jacket and his hair is still mussed from his helmet.
Tim pouts at him, but it’s hard to feign irritation when there’s a smile tugging at Jason’s lips; eyes crinkling in the corners. He’s unfairly cute.
“Don’t give me that,” Jason says with a laugh, crossing the room to pull Tim against his chest. “Bed looks nice. Hurricane sparkles hit here too, huh?”
Tim can hardly help melting against him. He’s always so unfairly warm. (Jason says the same thing about him. ‘Then again, princess, if you’d eat more, maybe you’d have something to hold it in—‘) “I don’t want to talk about it. I’m still traumatized.”
Jason snickers. “Traumatized, huh?”
“Mhm.” Tim twists in his arms, pressing their chests together and winding his arms around Jason’s neck. He plays with the strands there. “Be a good boyfriend and comfort me.”
That gets him another laugh—each one makes a little more warmth pool in Tim’s chest. Jason kisses him softly, sweetly; turning that pool into an ocean. Tim sighs into it, a little weak in the knees despite how brief it ends up being. Jason just has that effect on him.
He brushes their noses together. “C’mon, pretty bird,” Jason murmurs. “I’m gonna die of curiosity.”
Tim heaves a sigh far more put-upon than he actually feels, and kisses the corner of his mouth. “Well, we can’t have that. I just got used to you.”
Jason’s brows raise; a grin on his face. “Only just? It’s been over a year, babe.”
Tim shrugs. “I’m very resistant to change,” he says. “But you wanted to know about the glitter.”
“Please.”
“Alright. It’s Steph’s fault.”
Jason snorts.
“No, really!” Tim says, doing his best not to grin himself. “You remember when she and I went clubbing, right?”
“Three nights ago, yeah.”
“Right. Well. At one of them, there was a lot of body glitter. Like—a lot. And—I dunno. It was kinda hot? Which was unfair. I mean, I don’t look that good when I wear it. Which I told Steph, and she said she doubted you’d agree with that. And I kept thinking about it. I mean. It sounded kind of fun, to dress up like that. Different, definitely.
“Except, uh. Things did not go as planned, and I made a big mess instead. Oops?”
Jason doesn’t laugh like Tim thought he would. Instead his head tilts, almost thoughtfully. “You know,” he says. “I’ve got pretty steady hands.”
Tim takes a second to process. “I— Are you offering to apply it for me?” His mouth is suddenly dry, imagining himself under those strong, talented, and yes, steady, hands as they paint patterns of glitter on his skin.
Jason’s hands curl around his hips, thumbs stroking the sharp points of them. “We’re going to be finding glitter for months anyway,” he says, voice dropping, the deep baritone rumbling through his bones. “Might as well get some fun out of it.”
Tim shivers. “Have I ever told you you’re brilliant?” he asks, tightening his grip on Jason’s shoulders and feeling him tense in preparation. He jumps; legs locking around his waist while Jason’s hands grip his ass.
“Mm—not recently.”
“I’ll make it up to you,” Tim promises, and kisses the place where his jaw meets his ear, relishing the soft noise that gets him. “Glitter’s in the bathroom.”
He’d buy Steph a thank-you card later. A very sparkly one.

The Lazarus Problem Chapter 4
Jasonette Ch1 Ch2 Ch3 Ch4(you are here)
Ao3 Dedicated to @girl-in-thechair
Marinette was expecting Jason to come in, but she wasn’t expecting a familiar source of the Lazarus pits to also come in. She was caught off guard, as she blankly stared back at Jason who seemed to be trying to find the words to speak. Her trance was broken by Jason’s voice cracking.
“Marinette?” He still looked as though she wasn’t really there.
“Jason!” She rushed toward him, and he swept her into a hug and spun her around.
“You’re MDC?” His hands rested on her shoulders as he looked her up and down, like he still didn’t fully believe she was there.
“And you’re a Wayne! I didn’t know whether you were alive or not till I moved back to Gotham. Not only were you alive, but you got adopted?” She said while swatting his arm.
“Yeah, it happened about a month after we were separated, I was caught trying to steal Batman’s tires. He then took me to Bruce, and you know the rest.”
Marinette ignored the lie, it had been years since they’ve seen each other and she of all people knew the importance of keeping a secret identity.
“Really, Jason? Batman’s tires? Please tell me it wasn’t the Batmobile.” She already knew the answer though. Trying to steal tires from the Batmobile was a very Jason thing to do.
“Okay, it wasn’t the Batmobile.” Jason said with a grin.
“Oh that was so believable,” Marinette teased while rolling her eyes. “Okay let’s start the fitting.”
~~
After Jason had left the room where Marinette was working, he walked aimlessly around the Manor when he was accosted by Tim.
“Were you aware your friend is MDC?!” Tim grabbed Jason by the shoulders and shook him with urgency.
“Tim, don’t you think I would have brought that up if I had?” Jason swatted Tim’s hands away. “I was very much caught by surprise.”
It was well known that Tim was a huge fan of MDC. Getting to commission her was a big deal to Tim. After he had gotten confirmation on it he had sobbed face down for a good few hours in disbelief. If Jason had known, he might have kept it from Tim for shits and giggles, but would have most likely told him.
“Well, she lived in Paris for the entirety of the Hawkmoth situation. Should we see if she would be willing to help us with that?” Jason could see Tim’s mind racing. Marinette was a possible resource, because even though the Paris situation was known now, there was still a frustrating amount of mystery.
“We couldn’t ask, the Waynes have no reason to dig into Paris, while the Bats have no connection to her.” Jason paused. “Although maybe we could have one of the Bats come to her and ask, saying we let them know she might be able to help.”
“Well whatever we decide, you need to rekindle the friendship so I can befriend her. I can’t believe you know MDC.” Tim finally let go of him and started for the kitchen. Jason was pretty sure Alfred had already switched everything with decaf though. “I’m going to have to invite her to the Gala, even if she wants to attend anonymously.”
~~
Batman stared back at a very unamused Wonder Woman. This was a necessary briefing but was already really uncomfortable.
“I understand you don’t like magic in Gotham, but the business of the Miraculous isn’t something you should get in the way of. She is there to help you, the effects of the Lazarus pits is a weakness that hinders Red Hood and Robin. To have it removed is an opportunity you can’t afford to pass up. As for seeing if she is telling the truth, I must meet her.” Wonder Woman wasn’t pleased he waited this long to tell her. She had been looking for the current Ladybug as soon as Paris had been revealed to the world.
“If she is actually there to do what she says then I’m okay with the magic, but for now she is still an unknown. To give her access to Red Hood and Robin without confirming her claims would be unwise. Robin is still partially convinced that she may be a spy from the League. Ra’s does have an unhealthy obsession with obtaining the Miraculous according to him.”
Wonder Woman shifted uncomfortably at that.
“Before my mother was Ladybug, Ra’s succeeded at just that. He used the Ladybug and Black Cat to create the pits. To make a wish is to rewrite the universe and it always has to balance out, like the negative effects. I don’t like to think what his next wish might be.”
Batman thought this over, if just one wish could create something as dangerous as the Lazarus pits, then Ra’s definitely needed to be kept from the Miraculous. Lyca was the close they had gotten to finding Ladybug. She seemed to be able to take care of herself, but Batman wanted to offer the protection of the Justice League. He’d sleep better at night if he knew that the League of Assassins would have to go through him before they could get to the Miraculous. Not to mention Ladybug and Chat Noir would be great additions to the Justice League.
“Well after you meet Lyca, let me know if she is who she says she is, and if she is willing to help us contact Ladybug. Meanwhile I’ll still search on my own to see if any leads appear.”
Batman held out the phone Lyca gave Jason. It had taken some convincing to get it from him, but it was the easiest way for Wonder Woman to reach the Fox heroine.
“Trust me, Bruce. She won’t be found unless she wants to.” She accepted the device.
~~
So Jason was Red Hood, and Damian Robin. The kid had barely kept from trying to skewer her as she got her measurements. Marinette couldn’t blame the kid though. He had a significantly greater trace amount of Lazarus pit on him. As the grandson of Ra’s al Ghul she wasn’t surprised. But her commission had revealed the identity of the Bats, something she hadn’t expected to uncover.
While she was planning how that information could aid her in her mission, her phone rang. Not her main phone, the one that was connected to her yo-yo. She answered expecting a Bat to be the one calling.
“Lyca? This is Diana of Themyscira. I would love to meet with you, I believe I might be of some help to you.” Marinette dropped the phone in shock.

#16. Duke & Jason. "Squeeze my hand." (1 out of 20) Duke, Jason, & Joker Venom
Pressurized yellow gas billows out, filling the room before either of them have a second to comprehend Tim’s words. Duke sucks in an instinctive breath and holds it, slapping the side of his mask with hands that shouldn’t shake – they shouldn’t. He’s a vigilante. A hero. He’s faced worse things before already even though it’s only been a few months. His hands can’t be shaking as he fumbles for the latch on his helmet, going for the release of his rebreather. It doesn’t take him several tries to find it.
His heart doesn’t stop when he feels a crack along his cheekbone all the way to his ear, the points of his gloves catching on wire. Duke’s eyes water behind the lenses of his cowl, his lungs scream at him. There’s a giggle forming in the back of his throat, threatening to break out, but he holds it back. Grits his teeth and, and – his chest spasms and he drops to his knees, shoulders shaking. There’s no laughter. Not yet. Duke digs his fingers into the crack of his armor. No. No, please. Nononono. This can’t be happening.
I know it’s you. I’m ashamed of you, Duke.
Duke chokes on the laugh that grinds out of him, like scorching metal and nails on a chalkboard. He chokes on it and breathes in sharply, flooding his system with more Joker venom. He covers his face, one hand pressed over his mouth, the other covering his eyes over the cowl.
“Shit. Shit,” says a familiar voice.
There’s hands tugging on his, pulling them away. He giggles helplessly and can’t fight it – his mom is screaming in his face, unrecognizable in her screaming and laughing and I hate you. I’ll kill you. and the way she slammed her head against the glass over and over and over and over again. He sobs and laughs and falls into the body in front of him, shaking.
“I got you,” someone murmurs above him. “I got you, Narrows.” Then something’s being pressed against his face, cool, clean air spilling down his lungs. He breathes greedily, tears on his cheeks, his chest aching. He keeps his eyes closed even though it hurts. “Yep, that’s it. Keep going, kiddo.”
Duke huffs out a laugh – only tinged with the venom as his enhanced system works the gas out of his system as quickly as it got in. “Not a kid,” he mutters.
“When you’re old enough to buy your own lottery ticket, I won’t call you kid,” Jason says – and he sounds…weird. His grip on Duke’s shoulder is tightening enough for him to feel it through the reinforced kevlar between the gaps of his armor. His voice is tight, controlled…strained.
And he likes to think he knows Jason pretty well by now.
So, he dreads looking.
But he does anyway.
Jason grins at him, casually and carefree, a little hint of fang peeking from his smile. Duke touches the mask over his own face, sees red in the corner of his vision. Jason twitches, smile faltering before turning into something mean to comfort despite how strained it is.
“Hood,” Duke rasps out, panic seizing hold. He lashes out without thinking, gripping Jason’s jacket in a vice grip. “No – you – .”
Jason pulls him away, grasping his hand in a gentle hold. “It’s fine,” he says even though the words tremble around muted laughter. It hasn’t sunk its claws in just yet. “See? I’m fine.”
“Jason – .”
“No,” he cuts Duke off. The corner of his lips twitch, his eyes crinkle in the corner – pain, not reassurance. Duke blinks and he sees an echo flashing forward – Jason hunched, shoulders shaking, one hand buried in his hair – and he shakes his head. Jason squeezes his hand. “I know what it’s like,” he says quietly. “I’m not going to make you go through that. It’s okay.”
Duke shakes his head again. “I can take it,” he argues and even to him it sounds weak. “I can’t watch you…”
“You won’t. I won’t, Duke. C’mon. This is me we’re talkin’ about. I got this.” A noise rips out of his throat – half-formed laughter that sounds like it hurts – and he bites his lip, canines immediately drawing blood. “Listen. My hand – okay? Squeeze my hand and I’ll squeeze back, that’s my proof that I’m still here. I’m not leavin’ you. We East Enders gotta stick together, right?”
Duke cracks a smile at that then tentatively squeezes Jason’s hand. Jason instantly squeezes back, a little rhythmic motion he recognizes from Stephanie. His eyes are clear, a muscle in his jaw keeps jumping as he grinds his teeth, his chest spasms as he tries to hold in laughter, but he squeezes back again when Duke tests it one more time.
“Signal, Hood. Report,” Batman crackles over the comm.
Jason presses fingers against his ear and Duke can’t help but follow the motion, seeing the not-so-subtle tremors. “All good here, B,” he says haltingly. “Got dosed with some venom, but we’re all – ,” he jerks, sucking in a sharp breath. Duke squeezes his hand and gets that rhythmic response. “We’re all good. Hope you got an antidote somewhere in that – that ridiculous belt of yours.”
“Hood,” Batman says firmly – and Duke may not know Batman as well as he knows everyone else, he can tell the difference between “unimpressed with your antics” and “the reason I sound so stern is because I’m ridiculously worried.” “Can you move? Reduce your exposure immediately.”
“R-Right. Expo – Exposure. That’s – ha – a thing.” Jason’s shoulders curl in, hand falling away from his ear to go to his hair, fingers pulling on the strands. A giggle slips through his clenched teeth and he closes his eyes, brows furrowing.
Duke can only watch, heart in his throat, as Jason fights to compose himself, to keep himself here. He squeezes Jason’s hand and – for a long, long second…Jason doesn’t squeeze back.
But then he lets out a shuddering breath and finally, finally squeezes back.
“Jason?” he asks quietly, his stomach hollowing out and dread filling its place. His mom’s wide, wild eyes, blood trickling down her forehead, glass cracked between them. I’ll kill you. I HATE YOU! I’ll KILL YOU!
Jason takes a moment to breathe slowly – but not steadily – before he sits up, mouth smeared with blood from biting back the laughter. He smiles and it almost looks normal. “Let’s get outta here.”
Duke settles himself, slowly and carefully, then stands, never letting go. Jason stays kneeling on the ground, face pale, pain pinched around his eyes and mouth, that sort of stiff tremble that comes from holding in laughter and trying not to show it.
He squeezes one more time – and gets a response – before he’s helping Jason stand, arm wrapped around his back. Jason throws his arm over Duke’s shoulders, hand held out for Duke to grab again. This time Jason squeezes first, and Duke smiles as he replies.

TW: Blood and coughing
“Marinette?”
Tim’s lips parted when he recognized the girl working behind the counter as his assistant. Surprise painted her face in a similar fashion, fingers hovering above the register.
“Mr. Drake—er, Tim! Hey.” She tucked her hair behind her ear.
“What are you doing here?”
“I work part-time on weekends,” Marinette explained, plastering on a smile. “May I take your order?”
Tim leaned forward and lowered his voice. “I heard you were serving a cure for, um, flowers?”
He had found that coffee shop from late night research: a cafe that served drinks for those who had Hanahaki disease. It was hidden away in one of the streets of Gotham, but it was fairly popular too.
Marinette’s eyes widened. “You have—?!”
“Shh, yes I do. The petals started coming out a few days ago.” He’d be dead if the media somehow got hold of the news.
“Right, okay.” Marinette nodded frantically. “The drinks don’t actually cure Hanahaki, but they alleviate the effects for a short period of time. Should I get you the caffeinated one?”
He managed a weak smile. “Yes, please.”
The hot, frothy drink was served to him in no time. Tim coughed and covered his mouth, catching a few petals of delicate gardenia. Small itchy sprouts scratched his lungs at every breath. As he took a sip, he felt the relief spreading in his chest, accompanied by a sweet taste lingering in his mouth. Whatever was in the drink, it worked wonders.
He snuck glances at Marinette every now and then as he drank and worked. It was definitely cruel luck that brought him there.
---
Marinette was worried about Tim. So worried that she fixed up an anti-flower drink for him when she came into work that morning. She made it similar to his favorite coffee, making sure to put it in his favorite mug.
“Is your pay here not enough?” Tim asked when she brought over the drink.
“Sorry, that sounded rude,” he apologized before she could answer. “I was just wondering why you were working there.”
“My salary is more than enough.” She laughed a little. “I introduced the Hanahaki drinks to that cafe, so I drop by every week to help make them.”
He nodded, picking up his mug. “And this one?”
“The same as the one you ordered before.” Her face lit up. “I thought you might want to have some before your meeting later.”
“Thank you.” At the moment he brought the drink to his lips, he started coughing. White petals spilled out of his mouth and fluttered to his desk, followed by a round of yellow tulips after. Marinette rushed to get a cloth and a small broom to clean up the mess.
“If I may ask, sir, who is your . . .?” She questioned nervously while gathering the soft petals in her hands.
Tim wiped the corner of his mouth, immediately downing his hot drink to stop coughing. “That’s a secret. As long as I drink this all the time, I’ll be fine, right?”
She chewed on her lip. “I’m afraid it doesn’t work like that. If you keep drinking, your body will get used to it and it can lose its effects. The only way to get rid of Hanahaki is—well—the normal way.” Either you die or your unrequited love is returned. “I suggest only drinking this only when you absolutely need it.”
Tim paled for a brief second. “I . . . I see. If you don’t mind, can you keep quiet about this?”
“Of course I will!” She breathed out. “Just let me know if you need help, okay?”
“Okay.”
She wished she could help. Tim was admirable, an overall amazing person to be with. Ever since she started working for him, he’d been nothing but kind and considerate.
Whoever it is he likes, I hope they see him for who he is.
---
There was petal inside the folder.
A pink petal.
Tim didn’t cough out pinks. He had pure gardenia petals, yellow tulips, and blue salvias. Not anything pink.
And there was only one person who touched the folder aside from him.
“Marinette,” he called out to the girl, who was about to exit his office. “What’s this?”
She froze all over when he held up the petal, pinching it between two fingers. His voice softened. “Do you have one too?”
Her hand fell from the doorknob. Coughs suddenly rattled from her reddened face and she hunched over, slapping her palm over her mouth to catch pink and red petals. Tim ran over to her to rub her back and offer a glass of water.
“I didn’t want to worry you,” she said hoarsely.
“You should’ve told me.” No wonder she knows the recipes for the Hanahaki drinks. His chest squeezed at the thought of her suffering over a one-sided love. Who does she like? Why don't they like her back?
“I’ll be okay, I promise.” Marinette bent down to gather the stray petals that fell on the floor.
Tim stared at her. If . . . say, she were to fall in love with someone else, would it stop? He mentally shook his head. No, love doesn’t work that way.
“If there’s anything I can do for you, I’ll be right here,” he told her, gaze downcast.
“Thanks, Tim, but mine’s a lost cause.” She clutched the folders tightly against her chest.
“Why do you think so?”
“There’s no reason for him to love me back. And even if he did, it wouldn’t end up nicely for both of us.” Those were her last words before she slipped out of the room.
Tim wanted to tug at his hair. What did she mean there’s no reason? She’s beautiful! Talented! Good-hearted! And why couldn’t they be together?
Head muddled with thoughts, he retreated back to his computer. He had to figure out that recipe.
---
“You’re distracted tonight.” Red Robin bumped his shoulder on Ladybird’s after they both settled on top of a rooftop.
She yawned, side-eyeing him. He picked up on that? “Too much work in my civilian life.”
“I bet I’ve got more work than you do.” He stretched his arms.
More work, huh. She wondered what he did in his civilian life. If they had similar occupations. If he had to wake up early the next day as well, or whether he worked on the field or in a cramped office. She swung her legs aimlessly.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” He asked.
No, I’m not. I don’t know how long I have left to live. I’m getting more blood red petals than pink ones. It’s getting harder to breathe whenever I see you. I’m seeing chrysanthemums and columbines in my nightmares.
“Yeah, I’m okay.”
“I’m not buying it.” Red Robin scooted closer to her. “What’s bothering you?”
A pang shot through her chest, making her breath catch. She turned her head away to hide the tears pricking the corners of her eyes. “I don’t feel like talking about it.” She prayed her voice didn’t waver.
This isn’t good. If I stay here longer, he’s going to find out. Ladybird threw her yoyo and zipped away out of his sight. She made a note to herself to apologize to him during their next patrol together.
She reached a safe spot, detransformed, and collapsed to her knees, hacking out all the flowers blooming in her lungs. Tikki nuzzled her side as piles of petals formed on the ground.
Drip.
Drip.
A crimson liquid lined the petals that came out of her lips.
---
“What’s this?” Marinette raised her eyebrows at the paper cup Tim placed on her desk.
“I tried making a Hanahaki drink,” he responded sheepishly. “For you.”
She popped the lid open and took a sip. “Mmm, not bad.” She licked her lips. “I’m the assistant, you know. I should be the one making you coffee, Mr. Drake.”
His cheeks turned pink. “It’s the least I can do for you.” He frowned. “Unless . . . The drink doesn’t have an effect on you anymore?”
“It does. Just a little. The petals come back after ten minutes or so.”
“Oh.” He wasn’t helping her much after all.
“It’s okay. I appreciate it.” Marinette beamed.
Tim took a seat in front of her. Hanahaki was a difficult illness (he, of all people, would know) but he refused to accept that there weren’t other ways to make it disappear. “By the way.” He played with his suit jacket. "Have you tried—If . . . if you stopped loving that person, would it make it stop?"
She touched her fingertips to the cup. "I've tried. I tried my best. But it's just not something I can stop."
"But you know what?" His heart did a flip seeing her put on a sad but beautiful smile. "As long as I can stay close to him, I don't mind dying. I've done what I can."
"Have you told him how you feel?" He gulped. "Maybe he'll learn to love you if you're honest with him."
Just like how I learned to love you.
"I don't want to guilt him into it if he finds out. That's not love. It won't work."
"But Marinette . . ." What can he do? "I don't want you to die. You can't die."
"Don't worry. I'll find you a new assistant before I go." She chuckled. An attempt to to lift the mood. But his stoic expression didn't falter.
"That's not the point—"
"I'm fine, Tim, really." Her firm tone indicated finality. "I've made up my mind."
---
"Red Robin, have you heard from Ladybird?" Oracle's voice crackled through the comms.
Red Robin stopped on his tracks. He and Ladybird had split up to take care of two separate locations. She should be nearby. Did she run into trouble? But this is Ladybird we're talking about. She's more than capable in defending herself.
But his gut was telling him that something was wrong.
"I'll go check on her," he said, changing his route.
He kept his comms open when he reached the warehouse. It was quiet inside, with no sign of Ladybird anywhere.
"LB, if you can hear me, I'm coming to you," he whispered into his earpiece.
"No, don't come here!" Her voice echoed against the walls. He immediately examined the surroundings for any traps, but there wasn't anything suspicious.
"Just—just go and leave!" Ladybird yelled out again. "I'm fine!"
He took another step forward and heard a cough from her.
"Lady—"
She coughed a few more times, wheezing and gasping for air. "Go! I'm about to detransform! Don't you dare come here!"
He didn't listen. Those coughs sounded familiar, and he couldn't leave her alone in a vulnerable state. He ran, rounding a corner to see Ladybird slumped on the floor, clutching her chest tightly. A layer of crimson and pink petals surrounded her figure. Her earrings beeped loudly.
He stiffened when he saw the blood.
"I told you not to come," she whimpered.
He rushed to her side. Where had he seen those flowers before? Her hair was matted against her sweaty skin, and she was deathly pale. He let her lean against him. A million thoughts flitted in and out his head.
Red Robin opened his mouth to speak but she fell into unconsciousness. Her Miraculous beeped its last and her transformation wore off. He didn't get to close his eyes. He couldn't.
"Marinette," he whispered.
He couldn't focus. His heartbeat thumped against his ribcage as he picked her up in his arms. I have to get her home. Which home? My apartment? Which safe house is nearer? He could faintly hear a tiny creature speaking to him but he couldn't register anything else. Have to get her home. Have to get her to rest.
---
Marinette slowly cracked one eye open. She wasn't in her apartment; she could feel a cushion that wasn't her bed. She tried to move her body, but it wouldn't budge.
"Marinette," a voice said. "Thank god, you're awake."
She groaned. Marinette. Red Robin said 'Marinette'. Her eyes flew open as she gasped and sat up. I detransformed in front of him!
"It's okay, you're okay now." Red Robin soothed. "I brought us to my apartment. Here, drink this."
Her head was still spinning. Wordlessly, she took the drink from him, smelling the familiar flavor of coffee and anti-Hanahaki ingredients. "How do you . . ." she croaked out. "How do you know my name?"
He visibly deflated, seemingly hesitant to give her an answer.
Wait.
She touched her lips.
"It's gone." Marinette rubbed her chest.
"What's gone?"
She tried to breathe. In. Out. In. Out. Nothing obstructed her lungs. "The flowers," she said softly. "They're gone."
"What do you mean? What happened?"
"I don't know. I'm not coughing anymore." Have I stopped loving him? Or . . . She stared at him. Does he . . .? "Did you fall in love with me?"
"It was me?!"
"Of course it's—" She shook her head. "Wait, I don't understand. You've never shown interest in me before. Why now? What changed?"
A shaky, weary laugh escaped him. He tugged on his cowl and then his mask underneath, revealing Tim Drake. As shock passed over her, he tackled her into a hug, burying his face in her hair.
"I was worried," he murmured. "I was so worried."
"What . . .?"
"Mine's gone too," he said. "Now that you know."
Their identities. We fell in love with each other's alter egos and that's what set off the petals?!
She rested her hand on his cheek, rubbing his skin with her thumb and looking into his eyes. For so long. I thought I'd be gone because I carelessly fell in love with him.
"I'm so sorry, I should've told you sooner." He kissed her palm. "I love you so much, Marinette."
In turn, she pressed her lips on the edge of his jaw, closing her eyes. "I love you too."

Whumptober 2022: Day 19 - Enough is enough
Prompt: Knees Buckling
Summary: When he receives a call from his missing son, Bruce doesn't hesitate to drop everything and rush to get to him.
Enjoy! :D
“Master Bruce, you really ought to eat something.”
Bruce ignores Alfred as the man places a plate of sandwiches next to him, his focus is entirely on the screen opposite him.
“Sir, this really isn’t helping anyone.”
Letting out a long breath Bruce turns to his father figure to send him an annoyed glare. “I can’t stop looking Alfred. He’s been missing for five days now. Who knows what’s happened to him or where he could be right now. We have absolutely no leads and I’m not going to stop until I find him.”
With his usual level of calmness, Alfred straightens up and tries to reason with him. “Master Bruce, we are all worried about Master Tim, however running your ragged until you collapse isn’t going to help find him any quicker. You need to look after yourself so when we do find Master Tim you are fighting fit and able to help him.”
Bruce clenches his teeth. He hates it when Alfred is right. He has to admit ever since they realised that Tim is missing, the teenager never making it home after being out with friends, he’s been non-stop in trying to find out what happened to his son. All the family have been going non-stop in order to try and find him. So far they haven’t had any luck and every passing minute Bruce’s concern grows.
Turning away from the computer screen Bruce goes to answer Alfred but he's stopped when his phone begins to ring. Running a hand over his face, Bruce picks up his mobile from where it’s been face down on the desk next to him and notices that there’s no idea caller. Dread immediately fills him and he accepts the call with a sick feeling in his stomach.
“Hello?” He speaks into the phone. There’s a long pause afterwards and all Bruce could hear was heavy breathing on the other side. When no one speaks up for a while Bruce is about to hang up when he suddenly hears a weak and frail voice come through the speaker. The voice makes Bruce freeze and all of a sudden hope sparks inside of him.
“Tim?” He looks over at Alfred with wide eyes, noticing how intensely the elderly man is already watching him.
“-uce?”
“Tim is that you? Can you hear me bud?” Bruce could feel his heart pounding inside his chest and millions of questions flood his mind. Putting his phone on speaker he turns to the computer in order to try and trace the call from his mobile, however before he could type anything Alfred is there pushing him away and taking over the task, allowing Bruce to purely focus on the phone.
“Bruce please…” Tim’s voice sounds broken and it sounds like he's on the verge of tears. It breaks Bruce’s heart to hear his son like this.
“Tim can you tell me where you are? What’s around you? Describe anything to me.”
Tim does more than that, he somehow manages to rattle off an address he believes he’s currently at and Bruce sucks in a deep breath when he finds out that Tim is still in Gotham.
“Tim listen to me, I’m coming to get you alright. Stay exactly where you are, I’m coming to get you okay. I’ll be twenty minutes at most.”
Just as Bruce stands up a broken sob sounds out over the speaker. “Please don’t leave me!”
“No, no, no. Tim listen to me,” Bruce is quick to try and console Tim in a gentle voice, trying to get through to the distraught teen, “I’m not leaving I’m coming to get you. Stay where you are and it’ll be even better if you stay on the phone. Alfred is here. Keep talking to Alfred, Alfred will keep you company until I’m there okay?”
Stepping away from the desk, Bruce rushes to grab a set of keys from his collection but before leaving he back tracks to Alfred. “If anything changes keep me updated through the comms. Can you update everyone else on the situation as well please.”
“Of course Master Bruce. Hurry, go get our boy and bring him home.”
No more is said between them as Bruce sprints to the car and drives out of the Manor at law breaking speeds. He knows exactly where Tim is and prays that the kid is still there by the time he arrives. His thoughts are everywhere as he drives, he has no idea what’s happened to Tim and if its anything to go by the way he sounded over the phone nothing good has occurred. His son is hurt and scared and it pains his heart that’s happened to him, a child who he's supposed to protect.
Bruce told Tim he would be there in twenty minutes, he ends up making it in fifteen. His tires screech as Bruce pulls up to the curb in the middle of some old back streets and he carelessly flings open the doors as soon as the vehicle comes to a stop.
Rushing across the street and into a back alley where Tim mentioned he was, Bruce frantically looks around trying to find his son. It takes a couple moments but in the end he spots the almost hidden phone box against the wall and just on the side of the box clinging desperately on the phone is his son. For the first time in days Bruce feels a sense of relief wash over him. Of course he isn’t stupid, he knows they aren’t out of the woods just yet but they’ve reached the first hurdle, they’ve found Tim. That’s the main thing. They’ll tackle everything else once Tim is home safe and sound.
“Tim!”
He calls out to his son and immediately gets his attention. Tim turns to him, albeit sluggishly but there’s no denying that Tim easily recognises him. As Bruce starts forward he watches as Tim pushes himself away from the phone box, letting go of the phone and begins to stumble towards him on shaky legs.
Clearly struggling to hold himself up, Tim wobbles in place and as he takes his next step Bruce watches as his legs crumble underneath him, his knees giving out, making him crash towards the floor. Lunging forward Bruce is able to catch him just before he hits the ground, Tim falls easily into his arms and Bruce bundles him up closely, instantly scanning to see how badly hurt his son is.
“Bruce?” Tim breathes out, it’s a question and he sounds like he's in disbelief, as if not really believing Bruce is there with him.
Bruce runs a hand through Tim’s greasy and unkempt hair, not caring how gross it is. “I’m here Tim. I’m here. Thank god, I can’t believe…” Bruce couldn’t even finish his thought, every emotion is running through him and he’s just so thankful Tim is in his arms again.
He cups his son’s face and turns it towards him and for the first time in five days he gets a good look at Tim's face. His son is pale (paler than usual), he has dark circles under his eyes, there’s bruising along his cheek bone, some cuts and grazes aligning his forehead covered in smeared and dried blood.
“I’m sorry Bruce… I’m so sorry…” Tim is muttering to him, his voice quiet and weak, clearly showing how exhausted he is. Whatever happened, it’s easy to say these five days haven’t been kind for Tim.
Bruce shushes him. “No. None of that Tim. You have nothing to apologize for. You’re safe now and that’s all that matters. We’re going to go home now okay.”
Cradling Tim in his arms, Bruce wraps an arm around his son’s back and an arm underneath his knees so he's carrying him bridal style. Before heading back to the car however Bruce goes over to the phone box where the phone Tim had dropped is hanging by it’s cord. Adjusting his grip on Tim, Bruce reaches down and grabs the device.
“Alfred?” He speaks into, unsure if the call is still connected.
“I’m here Master Bruce.” Alfred quickly replies. “I assume you’re with Master Tim, is the lad alright?”
Bruce glances down at the kid now dozing in his arms. “I’ve got him. Whether he’s alright or not remains the question but we can check him over once we’re back. Please prep the med-bay for our arrival. I won’t be long.”
“Very well, sir. Everyone has been updated on the situation. We’ll see you soon.”
With that they hang up and Bruce puts the phone back where it belongs. Cradling Tim in his arms once more he finally heads back to the car. They’ve found him, thank god they’ve found him, now what they have to do is help him recover and piece together what happened. For now Bruce is just going to be grateful he’s got his son back alive.
