Darlin in their teen years when they started rebelling against the pack and subsequently their parents started becoming friends with older people that seemed ‘trusting’ regardless of if they were empowered or not.

They would make these friends and not all of them were bad of course. They’d talk to teachers and friends parents who would give them the guidance and support they weren’t getting or the guidance and support Darlin didn’t feel like they were getting from the pack and their parents.

But then there were the adults they clung onto weren’t good characters. These awful people saw poor Darlin as a toy they could use for their own means. They would start by being someone they (Darlin) could vent to and get support from before things would go all wrong.

Darlin would get attached to these people, feeling like they belong around them, a stable place finally and they would be pushed into a relationship because they feel like they finally have stability. Only these awful people would make it worse and alienate them even more.

Darlin would rebel more with their parents because regardless of how you think Darlin’s parents are, they would probably be upset and concerned that their child is an dating adult and would try to keep the two apart and keep Darlin safe. Darlin’s so blind to the danger they’re in it feels like they’re losing an important part of their life again just like when their family moved to Dahlia.

This leads them to unfortunately meeting Quinn. While most of these people after they have their fun or the novelty of dating young Darlin leaves they throw Darlin away, but not Quinn. Quinn was the toxic thorn in Darlin’s side and it took Quinn attacking Darlin’s friend for them to end things this time and when the dust settles and what feels like the first time in forever they’re able to see clearly and how wrong the relationship was and how wrong their previous relationships were and the manipulation they faced not only from Quinn but all these other people who took advantage of their naivety.

And what hurts Darlin the most is now they’re truly alone. They don’t have the Shaw pack to fall back on, they don’t have their family to fall back on; and they couldn’t face anyone after that, no one from their past with how blind they were to everything and how cruel they were just to stay with people who used them so disgustingly.

Darlin was alone and had a mess to clean up not only to get revenge for their friend but themselves as well.

I love how I have so much more appearance (and general, honestly) headcanons for Oblivion AU than for canon. Like, I cannot for the life of me imagine what Aaron or Sam look like, but in Cyrodiil I know that

the former is absolutely breathtaking half-redguard half-orc, with great dark curls, tusks, deep brown skin colour with a slight green undertone and he dresses very refined and has small half-round glasses with golden frames

and the latter is half-breton half-dunmer, he has dark olive skin, pointy ears and dark red eyes, short hair, a stubble and he dresses like a Grazelands farmer despite being a healer. Like, I have more headcanons for Oblivion!AU Sam's guar (whose name is Blue, thanks Arsenal) than for canon Sam.

He was enchanted by you and after finding out that you were a noble, he began grooming himself in order to be the perfect servant for you. When the position of being an attendant opened up in your manor, he quickly signed up for it. Yandere! Butler made sure to perform his duties as perfectly and diligently as possible while in that position. It was all to ensure that he would be promoted to be personal butler.

🌟 Yandere! Butler was not able to communicate with you when he was first hired to your manor due to being too low of a rank. He could only stare at you longingly from afar and wish that he could be closer to you. Yandere! Butler during this time period would discreetly follow you around wherever you went. Although he wasn’t allowed to talk to you, he still wanted to feel like he was a part of your life, like some secret protector. While doing this he’s definitely stolen a few of your possessions and stored them for his own personal use.

🌟 Yandere! Butler is so enthralled when he finally gets promoted to being your butler. Finally!!! After all these years he can finally talk and touch his beloved person! He’s so excited that he can’t stop shaking with joy when he hears the news. Every waking moment of his life from this point in time will belong to you and only you. He is willing to do anything you ask of him. No matter how small or difficult the task is, he will make sure to complete it as if his life depended on it. As long as it gets you to look and notice him then it is all worth it.

🌟 Yandere! Butler is only loyal towards you. He is not willing to take orders from anyone but you, even if it’s from your own family members. How dare they try to take away his time and thoughts of you away from him? Have they no shame?! Yandere! Butler would definitely be willing to fight anyone who dares to insult you. He doesn’t care if they are young or elderly, his hands are rated E for everyone. His love language is words of affection, so get ready to hear a barrage of compliments every waking moment of your life. Even when you’re not around, he’s still singing praises about you much to the displeasure of literally everyone else.

His movements with you are light and delicate almost as if he were scared that you would break if he were ever too rough with you. He loves to hear you talk about your day and ramble on about meaningless things. It’s somewhat therapeutic to him and it’s like listening to an asmr podcast in his eyes. He takes in everything that you say and a majority of times gives good advice when you need it. If you ever fall in love, never tell him. He will either gut that person alive or give you the worst possible love advice you have ever heard.

“This guy I met at the bakery was super attractive. How do you think I should approach him?”

You could tear him apart or take everything he owns and he’d still be loyal toward you. When he signed that contract, he did not only just promise to be your butler but also made a heartfelt vow that everything he does will be for your greater good. He loves the look of a smile on your face and would do anything to keep it there. Murder is not beneath him, if anyone dares to make you cry then he won’t hold back. Whether it be poison, decapitation, drowning, and etc. He’s willing to do it for you, all in the name of love.

🌟 Yandere! Butler takes care of any task that you deem stressful and overwhelmed by. If he sees any type of distraught look on your face he is taking over. Has that business deal been causing you to lose sleep? Don’t worry your pretty little head about it, he’ll make sure to handle everything. Are you getting a migraine while doing some paperwork? Well then, wait right there as he brews you some tea and he’ll get right in on working on it. If he ever sees you sneeze and sniffle then he is going straight mama bear mode. He’ll force you to stay in bed even if you aren't really sick and he won’t listen to any of your protests. No job is a headache to him when it involves you in the picture. So why don’t you just sit back and relax so that he can just take care of you.

Blitzwing: Bengal cat who goes from 0 to 100 in a split second. Sleeping one second, zoomies in the next. Sleeps on your face whenever possible. Goes insane for canned food. Will fight you for butter. Likes water. Demands to drink your cereal milk. Cuddles then sudden attack!! Loafs and stares at the ghosts in every room- growls when you try to stop him. Collects socks.

Shockwave: Sphynx. Spends most of his time on a cat shelf, judging everyone. Stares out the window, planning demise for the birds and squirrels. Chronically tries to escape to the great outdoors... but freezes in the backyard (easy to grab him and drag him back indoors). Tends to try to jump on things but fails and lands facefirst on the floor.

Lugnut: Huuuuuge gray cat. Likes to watch the TV. Always guilty when he gets in trouble. Loud meows. Gets his head stuck in things all the time. Cat no like banana. Scared of the printer. Tries to groom Megatron but Megatron bites him :(

Blackarachnia: The spider that Shockwave brought in after an escape attempt. Blitzwing plays with her until Soundwave's kittens eat her. [Sorry if you're a Blackarachnia fan. I do not like her, for her actions against my boi Blitzwing. There is a bias here]

He thinks you’re so badass and incredibly attractive. He finds your taste in style pretty unique and your western accent so fucking attractive.

If you wear a western hat, you can bet Hobie will tease you so much and often grab it off you, waving it above you to see how you’ll react. Nevertheless, he finds you cute with it on.

With your style of clothing, Hobie is the type to have something similar for the both of you to wear, so people know you two belong to each other. Hobie will likely give you a necklace, or a keychain to go around your belt loops.

Isn’t really all that interested in learning how to ride a horse, but he does enjoy seeing you ride – especially staring at your muscled thighs from behind. If you’re a Spider person, you can bet Hobie will jump on the back of your horse to check up on you before swinging off in the middle of combat.

If you have a ranch, he will try to help, but he ends up just messing with the cattle and making sure they do mischievous things; finding your annoyed state funny. But! He will help you groom the horses and feed the animals.

At your ranch, he’ll try to make a little competition with things – such as who can lift more hay barrels, feed the most animals, etc.

Will definitely go out of his way to buy sugar cubes or snacks for your horse(s), rubbing their chin and patting their neck. Probably has a superb relationship with them.

Loves to call you outlaw, (his) cowboy, dusty boots, and buckaroo.

Will sometimes poke at your accent, even though he loves it a lot. And yes, he will playfully correct your grammar when you say things a bit off.

Miles Morales:

Thinks you’re the coolest person ever. Loves your style, your accent, and everything you do. He has a sketchbook dedicated to you, colored in pretty Western colors.

If you have a horse, you can bet Miles will be mouth wide and immediately run up to the horse, trying to pet them and ask you all sorts of questions about them. By the time his rambling shuffles down, Miles realizes he’s probably overwhelmed the horse and asks what he can do not to scare your best friend so much.

Absolutely asks if he can ride with you, or if you can teach him how to ride. He’s a slow learner, but, with your guidance and reassuring comforts, he becomes more comfortable riding. Although, he does whine about his body hurting afterward.

Your accent is so attractive to him. He’ll be looking at you like you’re the world’s best singer when you’re telling a funny story.

You can also bet he’ll be going with you to rodeos, being the few people in the crowd who’s cheering you on very loudly.

Watches you in awe when you lasso things, especially him. Again, will ask if you can teach him to how to use a lasso and make one.

Doesn’t really say a lot of nicknames, but at times Miles will say: boots, mustang, and hoss.

Once you finished he glared at you and grabbed you, pulling you into a tight hug as I laid back down

Despite how much you tried to struggle he wouldn't let go, you woke him up, so now you have to help him sleep

okay idk if you’re still into your mermaid au anymore but I thought of smth.

I used to watch these asmr videos of someone wearing one of those fake mermaid tails and “cleaning” the scales with a make-up brush. Would Stone enjoy Robotnik doing smth similar (if not for it actually doing anything for hygiene but for the intimacy and pleasant sensation)? this also brings up the question if Stone ever needs smth similar to a bath or oral hygiene (I hope his mouth is getting cleaned somehow considering all the prey people he eats)

Stone does a very good job grooming himself! So long as he has access to clean water and his tools, he keeps himself very clean and tidy.

He was severely injured once, however, and at that time Robotnik took care of his grooming. Robotnik isn't normally the doting type, but he had no problem cleaning Stone’s scales and washing Stone's hair with salt water when he was unable to do it himself.

As far as Stone's teeth go, he doesn't need to do much as long as he can eat live prey! Like all predators, he keeps his teeth clean and white by ripping and tearing flesh and chewing on bones!

The thing about Otto and Alicent having boundaries overstepped by Otto teaching Alicent how to ensnare Viserys - I think people don't grasp the historical and cultural nuances here. Women over history have been coached on how to be attractive to men to get rich husbands or fathers pay for their daughters to go to deportment lessons etc. I think the book Gone With The Wind is a great example of how Scarlett is brainwashed into acting like a sexually attractive vacant vapid child woman by being taught by her mother and Mammy how to get a man. This includes what clothes to wear, how to flatter a man, use a fan etc and Scarlett adds on her own variations as well. It's like an inheritance.

Through a modern lens, ofc this is all wrong, parents shouldn't be teaching their children how to be sexually appealing. But historically there is a huge percentage where this was the norm from the ground up with the working class or lower middle class aping their richer counterparts to ascend the social ladder through marrying their kids off. Not everyone did this but it happened. If we look at The Buccaneers and Bridgerton it's all there. Mothers and fathers and guardians and brothers etc were all imparting to their kids, wards etc how to conduct and present themselves to the best advantage for the families benefit.

I think Otto is doing that here rather than abusing Alicent sexually. As a female and she is young and beautiful, Otto thinks he has a full hand. He sees Alicent as a pawn in his quest for power and when he sees an opening after Aemma dies, he immediately takes the opportunity because who are we kidding there would be other parents who would see a chance to put their daughter on the throne. When we get Aegon and Aemond maybe we romanticise it because they're young adult princes but the girls around them are being groomed to catch their eye whilst the princes are single. It all comes down to power and dynasty and I feel it we interpret by modern standards we lose the nuance.

Tbh I see it evolving into a different level with our influencer culture where TikTik tells us to be that girl etc, it's the parent grooming us to be as sexually appealing to the Internet gaze for advantage. And I see literal parents capitalize on their children by turning them into a product and it's becoming disgusting as they're ambiguously sexualising their toddlers to sate the abhorrent audiences they're attracting in the comments requesting to see the child eat cucumbers and fuck all is being done about it. That makes me so mad. Then we have parents teaching their little girls to be influencers and brainwashing them into doing that tapping their fingernails etc for asmr and to always have cute sound bites or manic smiles at the ready as soon as a camera is on them. We still have our Ottos today.

I do agree on the historical practices of coaching the daughters of the family, so that they become as appealing as possible to potential suitors. I would be wary, though, to ascribe definite time periods or geographical regions to these customs, since I am not an expert in this. I also believe these tended to be more prevalent in upper class / noble circles or in money-making spheres like merchants, bankers and other types of early capitalists, than they would be in working class scenarios.

Certainly, we are all aware, from our 19th century novels at least, of how the education of young ladies was focused on people-pleasing skills and other elements meant to appeal to men: piano-playing, sewing and embroidery (clothes-making might sound frivolous at first, but it was an important practical and economic skill to have in a household), drawing/painting, dancing etc. And the related concept of etiquette classes has certainly permeated through popular culture. So, yes, in a way, these are all related practices to how Otto advances Alicent as a potential wife.

But, I would argue that (and, again, because this is HotD, there is bound to be some focus on the dysfunctional) what Otto does is more of an overstep of boundaries, because he is deliberately shown to instruct Alicent in wearing a dress that is more revealing that what she usually wears and he is actively placing her into scenarios in which she is alone with Viserys. Whereas, "in the past" (broadly speaking), there definitely was a focus on maintaining a maiden's honour and girls would not be paraded in sexy dresses in front of their suitors, nor would they even be allowed to be alone in a room with any man that is not related to them. Otto's tactics here can be construed as rather scandalous. So the sexual aspect here is brought to the surface more than in other, more innocent "tutelage" scenarios.

Hi, can I ask you how you came up with Percy and what inspirations did you use to create it? And also, some facts about Alastor x Percy, for example about how they started dating

Oh hello anon, I’m happy to know people are so enthusiastic about my little guy!! Here’s the story on how I made Percy. So I knew since I watched ep 1 that I wanted to make a oc for shipping with alastor, and since I’m a big fan of age gaps I knew they’d probably be a young character (plus shota/kodo characters give me sooo much gender), which led me to the concept of a young boy getting groomed into being Alastor’s plaything. That morphed into the kid being Al’s adopted kid (because I figured it would be way easier for him to have unfettered access to the child then) which led me to killing off/removing Percy’s birth parents so they wouldn’t interfere with the grooming I mean totally healthy and normal relationship! Originally I had it were Percy killed his parents, but that felt a bit too edgy for my liking, plus having him be a orphan allowed me to make him even more traumatized and neglected (because historical orphanages weren’t the best..) which would explain why he ran off any trusted alastor. The bit about him being a yandere for another boy actually came from a asmr my friend Lyra sent me (link here)! Honestly the hardest part of making Percy was getting his design right, I had bits and pieces picked out since the beginning (rose covering/replacing one of his eyes, rabbit features, possible doll/stuffed animal imagery) but getting them all to work together and feel right was a challenge. That was until I rediscovered my old blog @r0tt3n-rabb1t and realized how perfectly the creepy cute/lovecore/doll vibes fit Percy’s character (plus the contrast of him looking so incredibly innocent but being a sick little yandere was too intriguing to pass up) so I made a mockup for them in gl2 and now I’m just looking for a opportunity to commission actual art of them (I’ll post his finalized design soon, just want to make some finishing touches :3)

As for how they started dating, it wasn’t the typical sweet and innocent love story, oh not at all. To quickly summarize, Percy had just ended up In hell after brutally butchering his orphanage’s residents (mini fact that Alastor actually originally owned the orphanage Percy grew up in before his death) Percy is still pretty heartbroken over his last darling’s rejection and somehow finds out that alastor is a absolute creep/utterly obsessed with his own son (like collected Percy’s baby teeth and used underwear + other fun yandere thing) and is of course freaked out by it (because reminder he’s a LITERAL CHILD) he makes the stupid decision to confront his father about it (or more accurately Alastor catches him snooping) and Percy gets punished severely (leading to the rose replacing his eye) once Percy wakes up from the blood loss (because HIS EYE WAS LITERALLY RIPPED OUT) he finds himself getting cuddled up by alastor (who’d been flirting/grooming Percy to fall for him since like day one) and is so mentally broken/traumatized/manipulated that when alastor makes a move Percy doesn’t stop him..and that’s how they fell in love!! <3

Alastor is absolutely the dom in the relationship, he’s overprotective and so incredibly jealous (do NOT look at Percy for too long or you WILL be killed) and just generally a all around hard/scary dom

Percy’s demon form was actually created by alastor using his eldrich powers (he somehow bound Percy’s soul to it while the boy was alive which permanently secured Percy as his/that he would end up in hell, and gave alastor so much more power over Percy then he has with any other owned soul) Percy is also a lot weaker then most sinners for that reason (and it keeps him trapped and helpless)

Rosie does know about their relationship and is totally cool with it! (Percy actually talked to her about it a few times before they were official of course Alastor listened in on these talks)

Alastor tries to keep the more..provocative parts of hell hidden from Percy to keep him dependent away from all those dirty perverts who’d surely do something awful to him <3

These two are H O R N Y they can’t keep their hands off each other when alone, there’s a 9/10 chance they’re making out/possibly getting intimate as soon as the door is shut

Percy does have to deal with some fun side effects from being a rabbit/doll demon, mainly his face is incredibly easy to break (skin is the same as real porcelain) and easily upset stomach (because rabbit tummies aren’t the best) oh and mating season, but that’s for a different post Thankfully he can eat meat with no real issue and him and Al often go out and try any butcher they can find both their selection of meats and the demon running it
