When children of Apollo feel very alone or sad...Apollo likes to send his kids signs that he's watching and is there for them, for example if it's in the winter he might make sure they have and extra sunny day or he'll make sure they find a new song they really like. He makes sure his kids see the number 7 a lot...Just small signs but signs none the less his precious babies aren't really alone.

Honestly I'm loving all the new characters. The rest of the overwatch issues though.... yikers.

I think Illari and Tay would get along pretty well. They would be the two ppl who could just have someone in the room with them without speaking and feel fine. End game they lean against each other wordlessly in a mutual platonic agreement. It seems they both the share the Don't Touch Me trait, for different reasons. But Tay doesn't like being perceived and it doesn't feel like Illari is particularly interested in prying and probing people. And Illari (from what I can tell) has at least some fear of people physically being too close, but Tay would not be in danger if she exploded again, so there's no concern there.

“I did an oopsie.”

Clockwork paused in his work, gaze turning from his work towards his ghostling (it didn’t matter if he was an adult, he’d always be his ghostling) who was smiling nervously, avoiding his eyes.

“Oh?” He kept his tone light, even as he worked on untangling a time knot. Honestly at least Danny was immune to any effect of time, even if he couldn’t look into his timelines in exchange. It came with being the other half of Infinity.

“Yeeah… you know that corner of the multiverse you told me not to go to because you’re working on some time problems? I might have stumbled into one of the worlds in the corner…”

He stopped his machinations, fully turning towards Danny- Space, his Core whispered and quivered in utter delight at having an Equal in power- with a raised eyebrow, leaning on his staff and silently telling him to explain.

Danny poked his fingers together, giving a nervous laugh. “So uh, I was just exploring right? Well me and Ellie, you know how she gets when she can’t wander, and um… I er, we might have messed with some things in the creation of it… I didn’t know it was part of that universe, I swear! It was so far at the fringes and halfway into the Zone and I couldn’t just let a universe die before it began and-”

Oh- Oh! His ghostling (and his grand-ghostlings it sounded like) had claimed his first universe! He could put off these time knots, this was a grand milestone for any Ancient, nevermind such a primordial force as one of theirs.

And this is how a DC world came into being with humans evolving with more avian traits. Like wings. And claws. Look, Dan thought it’d be funny if they gave baby humanity wings and Ellie started rambling about how much farther they could travel if they had them and Danny thought it could be cool. Oh well, time to keep an eye on their itty baby world now…

Idk if I ever mentioned this but Serana builds a house near Kili's hive (with Niralek's blessing as they live by her forest) bc she does Not like the idea of living in a cave, But that's her family too!! :D the hive Does construct a tunnel leading from them to her cellar tho, so they can all very easily visit each other and bring supplies. Vyr and Kili spend nights at her house like All the time, and bring dinner from the hive at least once a week. Serana's house becomes known as a good stopping point for traveller's and adventurers as she mysteriously has incredibly high-quality health, magicka, and stamina potions as well as many other healing items. She trades them for alchemical ingredients if you don't have money and she gives the ingredients to Kili.

She does occasionally visit the hive but they're all Very aware of her dislike of caves. The elders tend to fuss over her a tad and make sure all the fires are nice and bright for her and insist Vyrthaal cast plenty of magelights lol. She appreciates it So much she loves her Falmer Family :)

Her, Vyr, and Kili also meet up w Marzog's compound often, especially if they've traveled to their area!! They'll set up near Serana's house most often during winter and spend the season there!! They're allowed down with the hive of course they just have to Really mind their volume as 1) echoey and 2) chaurus Don'tike loud noises, it scares them :( But the falmer all LOVE when they visit, they have the BEST honey and meats, and the armorers always make sure they leave with fresh sets of falmer armor, as well as repair any of the equipment they've been given. The first week of their arrival is always a really big party and reunion, they go off to a different section of the caves where they won't bother the chaurus (or anyone who doesn't like loud party noises) and go absolutely Wild. It's a wonderfully fun time for everyone, esp Vyr Kili and Serana :D Also, Sina (very embarrassingly for Vyrthaal) dramatically shares whatever new stories have spread about The Dovahkiin. Everyone loves how hilariously embellished everything is (and her singing voice is beautiful).

Idk what prompted this random long post abt these guys but I'm thinking about em soooooo much rn 🧡🧡🧡🧡

I’m just gonna say this, the main reason people don’t like Damian Wayne as a character is the same reason people didn’t like Jason Todd back in the 80s

People don’t like either of them because their favorite Robin (Tim Drake and Dick Grayson) got replaced by them.

Damian and Jason are both really interesting and complex character, objectively more complex than both Tim and Dick, but some people (cough, obnoxious Tim fans, cough, and Dick fans who over sexualize him, cough) don’t see that and just want their little blorbos to never grow into their own character apart from Batman.

So I’m actually gonna answer these for all 3 of my active WIPs: In Theory and Practice, a Rings of Power modern college & reincarnation AU and my most blatantly self-indulgent WIP; Child of the Sun, my Jedi-critical Star Wars AU; and a yet unpublished and untitled Rings of Power soulmate AU :)

12. What emotions do I expect my readers to feel?

Dang, I don’t have expectations for my readers to feel anything! What I hope my readers might feel would probably go like this:

For ITAP, like I said, it’s self-indulgence first and foremost. I’ve written about fundamentalist trauma, parental abuse, closeted-to-open queerness, first love, and self-actualization as an artist and a person, so I hope people might resonate with some of those emotional journeys??

For COTS, I hope people pick up on the fact that I like the Jedi a lot and care about them as people, but I also hope readers kinda get my frustration with them collectively.

For the soulmate fic, while the couple’s external circumstances do throw them a lot of curveballs, I do conceive of it as a romance at its core, so I think of them as being really sweet and supportive with each other, and I really want readers to like them and root for them.

13. What common trope(s) do you feel are used in this chapter/fic?

Girl I’m terrible with remembering tropes!

So with ITAP the central trope is Found Family, but we also got Only One Bed, Adoption, Hurt/Comfort, good stuff :)

With COTS I’m drawing a complete blank. I know there are tropes because I’m not a creative girl, but naming them? Help!

For the soulmate fic, aside from soulmates obviously, I’m thinking there’s gonna be Hurt/Confort, Only One Bed, possibly a little tiny bit of Whump, and um. Uh.

14. What have you been finding frustrating with writing this chapter/fic?

So with ITAP, the big thing is that I’m already a little worried about how long it’s rapidly turning out to be. Like, I intend it to be a college fic, and I’m barely into the second semester of freshman year and I’m already past 100k words. Who the f wants to read a beast as long as thing is inevitably gonna be?? Especially a dumb college reincarnation AU??

With COTS, it really comes down to the plot, because I have no head for either long-term military strategy or short-term tactics. Like, not even enough to write a Star Wars fic! So whenever Anakin or Obi-Wan is on the field I’m just like “Idk they did battle things I guess.” Same with politics, I dunno wtf Padme’s doing.

With the soulmate AU, there’s a little bit of politics headache but mostly it’s that I don’t think my skills are sufficient to plumb the emotional depths that I want my two soulmates to experience.
