───── ⋆⋅🍂⋅⋆ ─────
You stifled a yawn as you sat behind the counter at the convenience store, trying not to fall asleep. It was pretty late at night and there weren’t many customers that came around this time which, truth be told, you were happy about. Still, it made it hard to stay awake because of how boring it was.
You were tempted to close the store early and just go home but you knew you’d get an earful from your boss if you did that. You felt confident that he wouldn’t fire you over it, but it wasn’t a risk you were willing to take. You needed the money and it had taken ages for you to get this job.
Your phone buzzed in your pocket, Choutarou’s picture popping up on the screen. Seeing his smiling face instantly woke you up, a smile coming to your lips as you brought the phone to your ear. “Chou-chan~”
“Good evening, senpai,” he replied politely. “Are you busy?“
You glanced around the empty store, resisting the urge to scoff. “I’m at work, but this place is a ghost town.”
“I’m sorry!” He apologized quickly. “I didn’t realize you were working tonight.“
“Don’t worry, Chou-chan,” you told him softly, hoping to calm him down. “You’re helping me stay awake, honestly.”
“Are you sure?“
“I’m positive. What’s up? You usually don’t call me this late.” You glanced at the clock, the time reading 10:23. He was usually asleep by now because he woke up so early to attend practice.
He was silent for a moment before speaking, his voice laced with worry. “I think Atobe-san is missing.“
“Missing?” Your brow furrowed, eyes flickering to the door when a man entered. “Why do you think that?”
“No one has heard from him since yesterday afternoon. He’s not answering his phone, either.“
“Maybe he just decided to go on vacation or something.”
“He wouldn’t leave without telling us, senpai.” He sounded completely confident in that fact.
“Well, what if he had a family emergency or something? He wouldn’t have time to tell you, right?”
“Maybe… I’m really worried, senpai.“
“I’m sure he’s fine, Chou-chan,” you reassured him, but a strange feeling had begun to settle in your gut and you didn’t like it.
The man was slowly approaching the counter, carrying an armful of energy drinks and a family-sized bag of Doritos.
“I have to get back to work. Try to get some rest, okay? I’m sure he’s fine.”
“Okay. I’m sorry for bothering you. Good night.“
“You could never bother me, love. Good night.” You hung up the phone, offering the guy a smile. “Good evening, sir.”
He just grunted, rubbing at his tired eyes. He honestly looked more zombie than human so you assumed he was a college kid studying for a big test or something.
As the night wore on and your shift came to a close, you found yourself unable to shake the feeling of dread that had settled itself around you like an unwanted blanket. Atobe kept appearing in your mind and, though you tried to convince yourself that you were just being paranoid, a tiny voice in the back of your mind told you that something wasn’t right.
───── ⋆⋅🍂⋅⋆ ─────
The sun was just beginning to peer over the horizon when you entered the Hyotei school grounds, sipping a tall energy drink to keep yourself awake. You hadn’t slept yet, having spent the entire night out searching for the missing Atobe as soon as your shift ended.
There truly was no sign of him. It was as if he had just poofed out of existence. Something definitely didn’t feel right to you.
The plonk of tennis balls grew louder as you approached the tennis court where the regulars were. Despite the early morning hour, they were already covered in sweat and had no doubt been there for at least an hour. You would never get over how insanely dedicated they were to the sport.
Your eyes scanned the courts before settling on the chair where Atobe usually sat. It had a blue umbrella to block out the sun, a round table sitting beside it. Kabaji kept staring at the empty chair, paying no attention to the match he was playing with Oshitari.
If not even Kabaji knew where he was, this was more serious than you thought. Atobe didn’t go anywhere without the large male at his side.
The autumn wind picked up and your hair stood on end when you caught the whiff of something familiar. It was faint, most likely left over from several hours earlier, but you could still smell it and it made your shoulders tense up.
There was magic lingering in the air.
Atobe Keigo was no stranger to pissing people off. He seemed to have a penchant for getting under people’s skin and pushing their buttons in a way no one else could. It was certainly possible that he had crossed a mage without realizing who he was talking to.
However, there were strict laws in place against the use of magic on normal folk. Doing so not only risked jail time, but it risked said mage being stripped of their power altogether. Very few mages were willing to take that risk.
You tilted your head back, closing your eyes as the cool breeze wrapped around your body. Your fingertips tingled with magic. Every type of magic has a specific code to it, one that could be detected with proper training. You just so happened to excel at this very thing.
Though impossible to detect what spell was used, you could tell that it didn’t belong to the school of dark magic. ‘It feels like…’ your brow furrowed in concentration as you moved your fingers back and forth, almost as if trying to wake them after they fell asleep.
It was definitely a curse, you concluded, but not a dark one. The stench of death certainly didn’t permeate the school. An invisibility curse, perhaps? It seemed a fitting one for someone as pretty and self-centered as Atobe. A woman scorned, perhaps?
No student at Hyotei possessed magic, though. You had made sure of that multiple times after you started to date Choutarou because you wanted to ensure his safety. Then again, girls from all over the area often snuck in to watch them practice. It could be one of them.
That certainly didn’t make your job any easier.
Choutarou jogged over to you, calling out your name. He still looked worried, but he offered you a smile nonetheless. “What are you doing here, senpai?”
“I missed you,” you told him honestly. While you had come to inspect the area, you also did miss him and wanted to make sure he was okay.
“I missed you, too,” he smiled brightly, but it fell a bit as he inspected you. His large hand rested against your cheek. “You look tired. Did you not sleep well?”
You took a large gulp of the energy drink, not wanting to tell him that you hadn’t even gone home. “It was a rough night.”
His eyes flickered to the drink, sending you a disapproving look. “You really shouldn’t drink those, senpai. They’re bad for you.”
“I know,” you chuckled, letting your eyes scan the courts. “I’m guessing there’s still no sign of Atobe?”
He shook his head. “No… his parents called the police last night but they haven’t found any sign of him.”
You nodded, not surprised by this information. You had seen the multiple cop cars at the Atobe property when you stopped by last night to do a little sleuthing. There had been no signs of magic used there.
“You don’t think…” Choutarou bit his bottom lip as if scared to speak the words lest they somehow make them come true. “Do you think he’s okay?”
‘If he pissed off a mage, there’s no way in hell he’s okay.’ You sure as hell weren’t going to tell him that, though. Instead, you offered him a reassuring smile, taking his hand in your own. “This is Atobe we’re talking about. He’s going to be fine.”
He squeezed your hand for comfort, slowly nodding. “I really hope you’re right, senpai.”
“I’m always right,” you smirked playfully, earning a soft laugh from him.
There was a sudden yelp of pain from the courts and you both exchanged a look before rushing over. Gakuto was on his ass, finger raised accusingly.
“That cat just bit me!” He cried. “What if it has rabies?!”
You frowned at the feline sitting on the bench. It was fat as hell, more closely resembling a balloon than a feline, with dark purple fur and a white patch on its nose. He turned his head, navy eyes meeting yours. It was as if a shockwave coursed through your body, a strangled sound escaping your lips.
Choutarou looked at you with concern. “What’s wrong?”
“At -” you started before biting your tongue. The feline’s eyes narrowed at you.
“At?” repeated Choutarou with a frown. “Senpai?”
You had attracted the attention of all the regulars, the boys staring at you with a mixture of concern and confusion. You forced a smile, rushing forward to pick up the feline. He was just as heavy as he looked and your words came out strained because of the effort it took to hold him.
“M-My cat… Atoy…”
The feline tilted his head back, glaring at you.
“You got a new cat?” Choutarou put his hand on his hip, looking curiously at him. “You didn’t tell me that.”
“If someone has one secret, they probably have a lot of secrets,” commented Shishido with a scoff, arms folded over his chest. He had never liked you but it got worse when you started dating his best friend. “Really makes you wonder, doesn’t it?”
“Shishido-san,” scolded the silverette with a frown. He hated the fact that the two of you didn’t get along. You were the person he loves and Shishido is his best friend. Both of you were very important to him and all he wanted was for you both to be friends.
You forced a smile to hide your annoyance. “I just got him this morning. Why do you think I came here, huh?”
“Bullshit.”
Gakuto pulled himself to his feet before stomping his foot against the ground like a child. “He bit me! What are you going to do about that, huh? What if he gave me rabies?! What if I die?!”
You rolled your eyes at his dramatics.
“You sat on his tail,” exposed Hiyoshi before drinking from his water bottle.
“It was an accident!”
“He doesn’t know that.”
“Who’s side are you on, huh?!”
Hiyoshi shrugged, sending you a soft smile before turning and stepping back onto the court.
“Right, well, I better get him home. See ya!” Before anyone could reply, you turned on your heel and ran away from the group, ignoring your boyfriend’s calls.
You barely made it out of the school before you were huffing and puffing, your back hurting from the weight of the cat in your arms. “Christ, you’re so fat.”
He growled at you, attempting to swipe at your arm but he couldn’t get a good angle.
“Will you knock it off before I drop you?” you scowled, readjusting your grip before continuing down the street. “Honestly, Atobe. You’re the only person who could piss off a mage enough to be turned into an animal. Do you have any idea how much trouble it’s going to be to fix this?”
He growled again, making you sigh.
───── ⋆⋅🍂⋅⋆ ─────
Kai blinked at you a few times as his brain processed the story you had told him. Then he burst out laughing, clutching his stomach. Atobe growled in annoyance, the fur on his back raised. He waited until your brother was leaning over before he hopped onto the coffee table, barely getting enough air to rake his claws across the male’s face.
“Shit!” Kai winced, bringing his hand to his face. “You brat! I hope you never get turned back!”
“Kai,” you scolded, sending him a scowl. “No matter how much you dislike Atobe, you know we can’t leave him like this. We have to help him.”
He clicked his tongue. “You’re only saying that because of Choutarou.”
“I won’t deny that.”
Atobe growled again but you glared at him, taking a step back.
“Don’t you even think about it!”
Kai sighed, holding out his hand and focusing his power. “Cursed you may be, cursed you will remain. Alter this curse, grant him the power offered by these words. Speak!”
White light shot out from his palm, engulfing the feline. It pulsed and expanded before disappearing with a bright flash. You and your brother leaned closer, staring at him.
His tail twitched angrily as his navy eyes shifted between the two of you. “Stop staring at me!”
“Holy shit, it worked,” the two of you chorused before exchanging a look.
Kai scowled at you. “What’s that supposed to mean? You had no faith in me?”
You snorted. “You didn’t even have faith in yourself. You totally pulled that spell out of your ass.”
His lips parted to protest but then he closed them, looking away with a scoff, knowing you were right.
You shook your head, settling down on the couch. “What happened, Atobe?”
He turned around to face you, whiskers twitching. “I was getting ready to leave the school. It was late so I was alone.”
“No Kabaji?”
“I sent him ahead because his sister was waiting for him.”
You hummed, nodding.
“As I exited the game, a woman was standing there waiting for me. She spoke another language and her eyes started to glow purple. I was hit by a purple light and, when I woke up, I was a damn cat.”
‘Another language? A purple glow? Good lord…’
Kai snorted, amusement dancing in his brown eyes. “You got cursed… by a damn fairy.”
“Fairies don’t exist.”
“You were turned into a cat, but you refuse to accept the existence of fairies? Aren’t you supposed to be smart?”
You sighed, pinching the bridge of your nose. “Fairy magic is super potent and hard to counteract. They’re on a whole ‘nother level.”
“What are you saying?” demanded Atobe, a hint of fear in his eyes. “You can’t cure me?”
“No.” “Yes.”
You sent your brother a glare, throwing a pillow at his face before addressing the cat. “You can be cured, but… it won’t be easy. Breaking fairy magic is quite tedious and I certainly don’t have any experience with it. I didn’t even know there were any fairy mages in the area…”
Kai hummed as he approached the bookshelf, eyes scanning the spines. “Fairy mages are notoriously good at hiding themselves. You could be staring one in the face and have no idea what they are. With all other mages, you can sense the magical lines within them but that doesn’t work in fairy mages. It’s pretty annoying, really.”
Your phone vibrated from your pocket and you didn’t have to check it to know who it was. You did anyway, frowning at the new message from Choutarou. He was worried, both about you and Atobe. You knew that but you weren’t sure how to appease him.
You hated lying to him and keeping secrets from him, but you were afraid to tell him the truth. Your biggest fear was losing him because you loved him so deeply. You knew it was wrong and you felt guilty about it, but you also didn’t know how to tell him.
Kai glanced at you over his shoulder before returning his attention to the bookcase. He finally found what he was looking for, tugging the book free. “Did you know the woman?”
“No. I’ve never seen her before.”
“Strange,” you mused thoughtfully, bringing your hand to your chin. “Mages rarely attack humans for no reason. It’s even less common for fairy mages.”
“Leave it to Atobe to piss off someone he’s never even met,” snorted Kai, the book resting against his forearm as he tugged it open. “This is gonna take some time to look into. You better get comfortable in that body.”
You sighed, pinching the bridge of your nose. The thought of living with Atobe was bad enough, but living with grumpy cat Atobe? You knew you were in for one hell of a ride.
───── ⋆⋅🍂⋅⋆ ─────
Your eyes scanned the crowds of people as they passed by the café, looking for any traces of magic. You were sitting at one of the outdoor tables with Atobe beside you, sitting in his own chair because you didn’t want him sitting on the table.
The two of you had been there for the better part of two hours without seeing anyone that even resembled the woman. Despite how many people lived in Tokyo, there was a surprisingly small number of mages. From your studies, you knew that they tended to avoid overpopulated areas simply because it increased the risk of them being exposed.
The world of normal folk was simply not ready to accept the existence of mages. They had proved that time and time again.
“This is useless,” snapped Atobe, slapping his paw against the table.
You quickly glanced around to ensure that no one was paying attention before you hissed, “Will you shut up? If people see a talking cat, they’ll freak.”
He huffed in annoyance, navy eyes narrowed. “Order me some warm chamomile tea. I’m thirsty.”
You sighed at how he completely ignored you. You waved the waitress over and she smiled politely at you. “Can I order a warm chamomile tea, please? In a saucer…”
“A… saucer?” She repeated as if worried she had heard you incorrectly.
You sent her a sheepish smile, motioning toward the feline. “My cat is, uh… he has very refined tastes…”
“Oh… I see.” She sent you an obviously forced smile before bowing and heading back inside. She returned a few minutes later, setting the steaming saucer down in front of Atobe. “Please be careful, it’s hot.” And then she patted him gently on the head and walked away.
“I am tired of being treated like an animal,” growled Atobe angrily. He placed his front paws on either side of the cup, pushing his upper body up so he could reach the contents inside.
“I mean, you are technically an animal, so…”
“I may be in the body of an animal, but I am no animal!”
You subconsciously glanced around, feeling thankful that you were the only one willing to sit at the outdoor tables due to the cold autumn air. Still, you felt anxious every time he spoke and your mind was constantly weaving excuses you could use should someone catch him.
“Ack!” He cried out, shaking his head in disgust. “I asked for chamomile tea, this is mint tea.”
You sent him an exasperated look. “It’s still tea, just deal with it.”
“They’re completely different flavors!”
“They’re both herbs, aren’t they?”
“I don’t know how Choutarou deals with someone so uncultured,” he huffed, shaking his head.
“Excuse me for not being able to name and distinguish all 842 tea flavors, half of which are more expensive than my entire house,” you snapped back, feeling annoyed by the comment.
“What a ridiculous number.”
“I was exaggerating for -“
“There are over 20,000 different types of tea in the world.”
You blinked dumbly, your brain taking a moment to process that number. “You’re… you’re joking…”
Atobe just sent you a look before returning to his tea.
“Damn rich people,” you muttered under your breath.
“Senpai?”
Your body tensed up at the familiar voice behind you, hoping you had just imagined it. No such luck.
Choutarou appeared beside you, a worried frown on his lips. “I’ve been calling you for days! I thought… I thought you had been taken, too…”
You took one look at his watery brown eyes and a wave of guilt washed over you like a tidal wave. “I’m really sorry, Choutarou. I’ve just been super busy dealing with…” your eyes flickered to the feline and you bit your lip. “Family stuff.”
The tall male frowned, not missing the hesitation or the way you had glanced at the cat. He knew you were hiding something and he felt torn. If you didn’t want him to know, if you didn’t trust him, he didn’t want to force it out of you. At the same time, he was terrified because of Atobe’s disappearance and the way you were suddenly acting so cold to him.
You stood up, resting your hand on his arm. “I promise I’ll explain everything, just… not right now.”
“I was really worried,” he stated softly, struggling to hold back his tears. “I thought I had lost you, too…”
Your heart felt like it was cracking at his pain. You quickly pulled him into a hug, wishing you were taller so you could rest your head against his. You settled for his shoulder, rubbing his back soothingly. “I’m really sorry, Choutarou. I… I should have made time to answer you.”
He held you tightly, fingers digging into the back of your shirt.
You considered asking him if he wanted to join you, but you couldn’t trust Atobe not to –
“This isn’t even good mint tea. It’s clearly cheap and not freshly made. You should have listened to me when I told you I wanted to visit La Villa instead!”
Your body tensed up, cursing under your breath when Choutarou slowly pulled away, looking around in confusion.
“Senpai, did you hear that? It sounded like -“
“Nope, I didn’t hear anything!” You replied quickly, patting his arm. “I really need to get going because I have to get to work -“
“You can’t hide it forever.” Atobe narrowed his eyes at you, front legs crossed over his chest. “He deserves to know the truth.”
Choutarou’s eyes widened, a soft gasp passing his lips. “Did Atoy just… speak?”
“My name is not Atoy! What a stupid name.”
“I am going to murder you, Atobe,” you growled angrily, fists clenched at your sides.
“Atobe?” Choutarou looked at you in confusion, his brow furrowed. “Senpai, please tell me what’s going on!”
You exhaled sharply through your nose, trying not to snap at him because it wasn’t his fault. “Grab the damn cat so I don’t strangle him.” And then you tossed some cash on the table and started walking away.
Choutarou carefully picked him up before jogging after you, his long legs allowing him to catch up easily. The tension in the air made him bite his lip, not wanting to push you when you were clearly annoyed.
You threw open the front door of your house harder than you meant to, muttering under your breath as you kicked your shoes off.
Kai quirked a brow at you when you rounded the corner. “The hell is your problem?” His eyes flickered to the tall male that appeared a few seconds later. “Oh.”
Choutarou carefully set the cat on the ground before bowing to your brother. “Sorry for the intrusion, Kai-san.”
The older male pouted. “I told you not to be so formal. You’ll be my brother-in-law one day!”
His cheeks darkened at the thought. You scowled, hitting your brother upside the back of his head before heading down the hall toward your room. Choutarou bowed to him again before following you. He found you sitting on the side of your bed, head in your hands.
He sat beside you, rubbing his hand across your back. You were waiting for him to ask you what was happening, to demand answers from you, but you knew he wasn’t that type of person.
You sighed deeply, letting your hands fall from your face. “I’m sorry… I… I’ve been lying to you since the day we met.”
“About what?” he questioned softly.
You took a deep breath, trying to focus on the warm hand against your back. “I… I’m scared to tell you.”
“Why? Do you… not trust me?”
“Of course, I do!” You replied quickly, turning to face him. “I trust you with my life, Choutarou. That’s why it’s so hard to tell you, because I’m scared to lose you.”
He gently cupped your face, a loving smile on his lips. “No matter what you tell me, I’m not going anywhere. I love you.”
You exhaled shakily, your hand resting over his. “The truth is… I’m a mage. My father’s side of the family have been mages for generations.”
“Mage?” His brow furrowed in confusion.
You tugged his hand from your cheek, resting your fingers above his palm. You focused on your power, a tiny spark coming from your fingertips. He watched with wonder as it grew into a ball of flame, morphing and shifting until it looked like a tiny, flaming bird.
“Magical folk. Wizards. Witches. Warlocks. We have many names, but we are mages, users of magic.”
“It’s warm,” he spoke softly, cupping the bird as if it were real. “It doesn’t hurt, though.”
“I specialize in fire magic so I have pretty good control over the temperature. It won’t hurt you unless I want it to and I would never, ever hurt you.”
“I know you wouldn’t.” When his brown eyes met yours, there was no fear within their depths, just warmth, love and, most importantly, trust.
You threw your arms around his neck, hugging him tightly. “Thank you, love.”
“You don’t have to thank me. It’s the least I can do as your future husband,” he teased, sounding embarrassed that he had brought it up. “If that’s what you want, I mean.”
You laughed, pulling back to rest your forehead against his. “I would be honored to have you as my husband one day.” Your lips met his in a soft embrace that lasted only a few seconds.
“What happened to Atobe-san?”
“We’re still trying to figure out the whole story,” you sighed, running a hand through your hair. “So far, we know that he was cursed by a fairy mage but we don’t know why. Kai has been trying to find a counterculture while Atobe and I have been trying to find the woman who cursed him.”
“I can’t believe Atobe-san is a cat…”
“Not even a cute one, either.”
“Senpai,” he sent you a scolding look. “That’s mean.”
“After what he did today, he’s lucky that’s all I’m doing.”
He hummed softly, slipping his hand into yours. “I’m grateful to Atobe-san for it. I’ve always known you were hiding something and I’m happy that you don’t have to feel as if you have to hide who you are from me.”
“I feel stupid for worrying so much. I should have known you would be the last person to judge.”
“It’s a valid thing to be afraid of,” he smiled reassuringly, pecking your cheek. “It may sound strange, but… knowing that you didn’t want to tell me because you were scared of losing me makes me really happy.”
“Really? Why?”
“Because it tells me how much you love me.”
Before you could reply, Kai burst into the room, the door smacking against the desk before bouncing back and hitting him in the face. He cried out, holding his nose. “We have a problem!”
“Yeah,” you scowled, standing up to check the door. “There’s a hole in my door now, you ass!”
“Are you okay, Kai-san?” asked Choutarou with worry.
Kai smiled warmly at him before scowling at you. “My brother-in-law cares more about me than you do. That’s so messed up!”
“Because he doesn’t have to live with you,” you scoffed, sending him an annoyed look. “What’s your problem?”
“Oh, right!” His eyes widened again as he grabbed you by the shoulders, shaking you. “We have a problem!”
“You said that already.” You shoved his hands away. “Spit it out.”
“We found the woman who cursed him and you’re not going to believe it.”
Your brow furrowed, sending your boyfriend a look before the two of you followed Kai from the room.
───── ⋆⋅🍂⋅⋆ ─────
“You have got to be kidding me…” you muttered, looking wearily at the black house you stood in front of.
Kai shifted nervously from one foot to the other, nearly shrinking into himself. “We shouldn’t be doing this. If dad finds out, he’s going to freak. Assuming we even make it out of this alive,” he muttered the last bit under his breath, jumping in surprise when a raven cawed loudly.
You took a deep breath, glancing over your shoulder. Choutarou was looking around nervously, clutching Atobe to his chest. You hit your brother’s arm to get his attention. “If you take Choutarou away from here, I’ll go in alone.”
“Absolutely not!” replied Choutarou firmly. “If she’s dangerous, I’m not letting you go alone.”
“My love,” you sent him a stern look. “I appreciate your bravery, but I’m not letting you face down a mage. Especially not this mage.”
He shook his head, stepping closer and slipping his hand into yours. “No matter how dangerous it is, we do it together or we don’t do it at all.”
Kai looked between the two of you. “Welp, have fun, kids!” And then he turned on his heel and darted down the path, jumping through the portal that led out of the mage’s deadlands.
The sky in the deadlands remained black no matter what time it was. Orange lanterns lit the pathway but they were spread pretty far apart, keeping the land dark. The area around the house was nothing but hard desert, with no trees or buildings in sight.
The house itself looked as if it had been made for a horror movie.
Choutarou squeezed your hand while simultaneously hugging Atobe tighter.
“Choutarou -“
“I’ve made up my mind.”
You were surprised by the determination in his eyes. He wasn’t a stubborn guy by any means, but he was loyal and cared deeply for his friends. You knew he was scared, but he couldn’t leave you and Atobe. Your eyes flickered to his hand, feeling a bit better to see the protection ring secured around his finger.
Taking a deep breath, you started toward the house. “This should be a fun adventure,” you muttered.
The wrought iron gate squealed loudly when you pushed it open, lightning streaking across the sky as if to announce your presence.
“Stay behind me,” you ordered him before reaching up to knock on the heavy wooden door.
A moment of silence passed before the door was pulled open, revealing Maira Aarons. She was a tall woman with long black hair that practically melted into the tight black robe she wore. Ruby eyes narrowed at you with recognition, purple lips pursed.
“You better have a good reason for appearing on my doorstep, child.”
You straightened your back and lifted your head. “I’d say you using magic against non-magic folk is a pretty good reason.”
Her eyes flashed and she quickly tried to slam the door in your face but you were quicker, sliding your foot between the door and the frame. “I don’t have time for your games,” she hissed, eyes glowing. “Move, child, before I curse you into -“
“Mom? Who is it?” came a female voice from within the house.
Atobe’s ears twitched at the sound, brow furrowed. You sent him a look as if to ask ‘do you recognize her?’ and he nodded, squirming in the younger male’s grip. This caught the attention of Maira, whose eyes grew wide. She cursed, trying harder to shut the door but you shoved your body against it, pushing with all of your strength.
“Mom? What’s happening?”
“Go back to your room!”
“What? No! What’s going on?”
“I’ll explain later, just please -“
With the older woman occupied, you were able to wrap your magic around your body, increasing your physical strength for a short period of time. It was enough to overpower her, shoving the door open and stumbling forward. Choutarou grabbed the back of your hoodie to keep you on your feet.
A young girl stood at the bottom of the stairs, magic encasing her fists as she took a defensive stance. “Who the hell are you?! What do you want?!”
Before you could answer, Atobe jumped from Choutarou’s grip, landing on the ground in front of you. A gasp passed her lips when she saw him, the light fading as she straightened up.
“Atobe?” she breathed out, eyes wide. “What happened?”
“Ask your mom,” you scoffed, feeling a bit lightheaded as the enhancement magic left your body. It wasn’t your strongest magic type so it always left you feeling drained when you used them and they didn’t last very long, either.
Her eyes snapped to the older woman. “Mom? What did you do?”
Maira huffed, brushing invisible dust from her robe. “I did what any mother would to someone who broke their daughter’s heart.”
“You cursed him! Are you kidding me?” She cried, throwing her hands up in exasperation. “Fix him right now!”
“I will,” started Maira, her eyes narrowed at the feline. “As soon as he agrees to date you, Maki.”
Her face burned with embarrassment, mouth opening and closing.
You scoffed, folding your arms over your chest. “Why would you want that? Forcing someone to date your daughter who doesn’t want to date her… that’s so much worse than being rejected because you know he doesn’t want to be there. All you’re doing is hurting her more.”
“Silence!” snapped Maira, eyes flashing. “This is a family issue.”
“It stopped being a family issue when you cursed an innocent non-magic!”
“He deserved it! He only rejected her because she doesn’t come from a wealthy family like he does, because she isn’t a student at that dreadful school! He broke her heart and he’s lucky he’s still breathing!”
Atobe growled at her, his fur raised. “I am not such an asshole to reject someone based on their social status. I don’t have time to date and I don’t even know her, of course I would reject her.”
“You arrogant little -” her eyes started to glow red, a ball of red magic appearing in her hand. You darted forward, conjuring a shield at the very last second.
Her magic was more powerful and it sent you flying backward, hitting the wall hard. The wind was knocked from your lungs, vision blurring for a moment. Choutarou cried out your name, rushing over to you with worry in his eyes.
“Are you okay?”
“I’m fine,” you winced, putting your arm across his chest and pushing him behind you as you forced yourself to step forward.
“Mom!” snapped Maki, her own eyes flashing red. “You’ve gone too far! You can’t just curse everyone I come into contact with! Turn him back or… or… I’ll go live with dad!”
Maira gasped, her eyes wide and hand covering her mouth. She looked as if someone had just threatened her unborn child. “You wouldn’t…”
“Try me!”
She scowled, glaring at the feline. “What has been done must now be undone, the curse you bear will be lifted, I declare!” She clapped her hands together and purple smoke engulfed Atobe, swirling around him like a tornado.
You could only see glimpses of him through the smoke, his body glowing and shifting as he returned to his original form. The smoke exploded outward before dissipating.
Atobe put his hand on his hip, running his other hand through his hair as he scowled.
“I am so sorry, Atobe-san!” Maki bowed low despite her mother’s protests.
You put your hand on his shoulder, tugging him toward the door. “Let’s get out of here before you say something dumb and get your ass cursed again.” You kept your gaze on the woman until both boys were out of the house.
“Are you okay?” Choutarou sent you a worried look, reaching for your hand.
You offered him a tired smile. “Yeah.”
“I was the one who was turned into a cat for a week,” scowled Atobe, shaking his head.
Choutarou sent him an apologetic look. “Are you okay, Atobe-san?”
“He’ll be hacking up hairballs for the next week, I bet,” you snickered, earning a glare from the male.
“That sounds terrible,” Choutarou covered his mouth, trying to hide his laughter.
Atobe just huffed, muttering under his breath as he walked down the path toward the portal.
“Everyone is going to be confused. What are we going to tell them?”
“Kai will handle that, don’t worry.” You brought his hand to your lips, pressing a kiss to the back of it. “Right now, all I care about is getting you home safely and going to bed.”
“Do you mind if I join you instead?”
A smile tugged at your lips. “I’d love that, future husband of mine~”
His cheeks turned pink as he smiled brightly at you, brown eyes closed.

i usually feel better when i ramble about my day so
i've been trying to get my toilet fixed for a year (it wasnt properly installed in the floor so it wobbled when you sat on it / there was a leak under it and lots of little bits of soaked wood) but finally got a maintenance guy scheduled today
i woke up 3 hours early to a combo of that text + my cat pooping on the floor it's an ongoing issue i'm trying to figure out atm, pls no suggestions i am already moving forward with plans to figure out the root cause, i'm just a little frazzled because there's so many things it COULD be so i'm probably going to be cleaning up more messes for a while. i think it's a combination of hating the litter, only having 2 boxes instead of 3, and constipation
i already had a big grocery trip planned because the only thing in my kitchen right now is condiments, eggs, and ramen and i'm AWARE you can make good food with that but i've eaten... like, not kidding maybe 150 boiled eggs in the past few months. love them! but i'm autistic and hardboiled egg texture can sometimes be a little much so that on top of needing a bunch of supplies was stressful, because i had already trimmed a lot of items off my grocery list due to low funds.
in general money has been pretty tight, which has been very stressful. i'm kind of just barely skirting by on bills, which sucks because i'd love to be able to save up for things like a desktop in case my laptop can't be fixed, getting real internet set up and not having to use my phone, having a savings in general. but not having a vehicle means i have to doordash groceries at times and try to arrange big trips with a friend, which means i am usually paying doordash fees + tips, or buying food for my friend in exchange for their kindness.
that + paypal fees really all adds up omg. and i feel like there's a dip in people buying designs / comms right now due to the holiday season, inflation, cons... and i know i can't blame people for cutting art out of their budget, but i also can't help but get wracked with anxiety at the feeling like i can't really raise prices, despite desperately needing to. i have the next two weeks blocked off to work on designs and i just keep wigging out like "what if i have to sell them all for $25" or "what if i can never make more than $75 per design consistently" and of course in the middle of that, the site i get the most attention on is being ruled by a wax figure incel
i know that going back to freelancing was the right decision and times are just tight right now, and things do get a little better every month. and after posting that i needed help i got the help i needed + more within a few hours, which i cannot tell you how grateful i am
sorry if this seems super unorganized there's a couple with a child parked right outside my window and the children are hanging out of the window and screaming HELLO EVERYONE. HELLO EVERYBODY. HEY LADY I SEE YOU I REALLY WANNA TALK TO YOU. HELLO HEY LADY. I REALLY WANT TO TALK TO YOU. I SEE YOU. and honking the horn
anyway
the toilet got fixed, i tried to go back to bed to rest but couldn't sleep much. and also i tried to make dinner tonight and completely ruined it, like i kept trying to "fix" it and it went so far off the rails. i got it to taste OKAY. but i don't want to eat it. and i don't want to waste it and throw it away. probably just gonna throw it away and have some ramen honestly DSFSDF it's too sad to eat.
i'm tired physically and mentally and i hope one day i have enough money for that to not be so bad

it’s been a rough couple of days. my ac went out, and we had to wait till the next day to get it fixed, so I did not sleep. I was still coughing & it was almost 90 degrees & this house has no fans, so I dozed off out of sheer exhaustion between 5:30 and 7, then had to get up, be productive, and then go work a nine hour shift. got home from that & started coughing up blood, so I went to the ER. they were so busy they forgot to put a bracelet on me, did a quick X-ray that looked fine and sent me home. said it was probably bronchitis. coughing up blood can be normal. it did wonders for my anxiety. at this point it’s 5 am again, and I’m in two hours of sleep over two days so I manage to fall straight asleep and sleep till 10. I did not dream. I woke up so dehydrated with the worst headache, feeling like absolute shit, went grocery shopping, tried to eat and shower and then went back to work for an 8 hour shift where some guy at the bar told me if he didn’t dramatically move out of my way when I passed, that he was going to slap my ass, and then I would have probably smacked him, and now this morning, on the day I make the most money at work, my boss asked me to come in an hour late, which isn’t a big deal but I’m thousands behind on shit, and Sundays I average $40 an hour, so that’s $40 I lost out on to sit in my bed already ready waiting to go which is frustrating. I’m tired & anxious & paranoid I have lung cancer or some shit because I’ve been coughing for a year. I test negative for viruses & I don’t have cold symptoms & Google says 20% of lung cancers are first missed on X-rays, and coughing for this long, blood, getting worse, it can’t fucking be normal. and my son doesn’t want to go to school anymore, and it’s a battle I don’t know how to fight, and my boss texted me that the girl I worked with last night tested positive for the flu & strep today so I’ll probably never be well again, and my family still needs my help & I genuinely think people just don’t like me anymore, and I don’t blame them, but I’m just so tired.I’m trying to stay positive, but the truth of the matter is, some people won’t get better. Some people will be sick or sad or lonely or miserable forever. Some people will not forgive you. Some people will use you every chance they get. Some dreams will be unfulfilled forever, and I don’t know what my future holds. If I’ll be lucky or not, because it all boils down to that doesn’t it? It doesn’t matter how hard I try to change what I can, sometimes shit just happens, and I hate it. I don’t want to be tired or sick or hated forever but I don’t really get to choose.

I have a request with Nat x reader. It’s a party at the compound and nobody has ever seen Nat drunk but this night she was completely gone like blackout drunk. So you end up having to carry her to her room and take care of her but she accidentally admits her love for you, you end up sleeping on the armchair in the room and in the morning you wake up to a Nat that’s throwing up on the floor, at first she don’t remember shit but later during the day she remembered what she said and gets really flustered and embarrassed but it ends I fluff reader admits her love for Nat to
Title: Drunken Confessions
Pairings: Natasha Romanoff x fem!reader
Genre: Fluff
Warnings: alcohol
a/n: thank you for the request! happy reading <3
1.4k
Everyone knew Tony Stark loved the glamour of his extravagant parties often threw in the Avengers tower. Everyone also knew that while everyone else got batshit drunk, the black widow never got even slightly tipsy after several rounds of drinking games when everyone else was drunk enough to strip to their undergarments and start pole dancing. She always only watched with a hint of amusement glinting in her emerald eyes
That led to the bet going on amongst the other Avengers, Tony threw in a solid 500 dollars to whoever got Natasha drunk while the others put in smaller amounts. Thor had been lurking around with a smug grin for a whole 5 minutes since the party had started, you had no doubt that he’d been up to no good and opted not to touch the alcohol at the bar for tonight.
Spotting a certain redhead, you sidled up to the bar in your new dress that you definitely haven’t bought to impress her and new heels that again, you definitely didn’t buy to awe her. “Someone put in effort for tonight’s party” Natasha said, dropping her gaze to your heels and all the way up until she met your eyes “trying to impress someone?” she winked teasingly. Damn it, were you that obvious “Steve maybe?” she pressed, seating yourself on one of the rotatable, red leather stools you laughed “I don’t swing that way”
Natasha hummed in acknowledgement “me neither” she said. You turned to look at her so quickly that you thought you may have given yourself whiplash “Then…You and Bruce?” you asked cautiously “there’s a reason that didn’t work out” she said, taking a sip of her martini and sending her glass a peculiar look “you’re new?” she asked the bartender “no ma’am I’ve been working here for three years” Natasha’s lips formed into a silent ‘oh’ and you stifled a laugh
After a few more glasses of alcohol, Natasha was clearly very drunk, the rest of the avengers who hadn’t seen Thor’s expression of obvious smugness had drunk the alcohol unknowingly too and Tony and Steve were challenging each other to a dance off. In their boxers. You watched with amusement and second-hand embarrassment. Meanwhile, the Russian that was the heart of all this chaos was standing across the room apparently having an argument with Clint about whether the walls are green or red. The walls are white. Then it suddenly clicked in your mind, the only alcohol that could get her so shockingly drunk, Asgardian liquor
Of course, why hadn’t you thought about it before. Thor was incredibly competitive even if he didn’t look it. You continued sitting aside from all the havoc erupting on the party floor taking tentative sips from the water you’d brought, keeping an eye on Natasha before she does something stupid. Normally that was her job, unbeknownst to you, Natasha always looked out for you during Tony’s parties, knowing your alcohol tolerance wasn’t exactly high.
Glancing at the clock, you could see that it was almost 3 in the morning and the noises had died down and all the Avengers were splayed out on the couch only half awake, Natasha was half laid half seated on two bar stools barely keeping herself upright. Deciding that you really didn’t want her to fall off and give herself a concussion, you tugged at her sleeve “come on Nat, we’re going back to your bedroom” she smirked at you with her painted lips which were normally perfect but tonight, they were slightly smudged, you liked the look on her though
“Bedroom? Getting frisky already y/l/n?” you raised your eyebrows while helping her off the chair and draping your jacket around her shoulders “getting concerned about how drunk you are” you corrected. Natasha hummed and after a few steps let her head slump onto your shoulder, you were half supporting and half carrying her but you were glad she wasn’t sober right now because your heart was probably going a million miles a minute, her hair smelt so nice, her tresses were gently tickling your neck
Caught up in your thoughts you had to abruptly steer Natasha towards her bedroom before she walked directly into a wall. Practically dumping her onto the bed with a huff from the exertion of dragging her all the way back to her room, you pulled off her heels and hung up the jacket “I love y/n, don’t you think she’s just so pretty, she’s so smart too and how she fights, it’s soooo hot” she slurred and your cheeks heated up.
You were ready to dismiss it as a hallucination, you had feelings for the redhead, you’d been harboring them for a good 2 months because you thought they’d never be reciprocated. But Natasha turned to you “do you think she likes me too?” she asked “yeah, yeah I’m sure she does” you whispered. Natasha seemed to hear it, she sighed contentedly and let her eyes close. Making your way out of the room, you heard her say “stay” it was barely a whisper but you heard it and you could never refuse her
So you slumped onto her chair with your chin supported by the heel of your hand just appreciating how gorgeous she looked even blackout drunk, ginger hair all over the place and smudged makeup. It sounded creepy but you were really just taking the advantage of being able to stare at her now before she’s sober again tomorrow and your act of indifference had to come up again.
You didn’t know at what point you fell asleep but you woke up to Natasha rushing to the bathroom and throwing up in the toilet. Hastily pulling her hair back into a ponytail, you rubbed her back in an attempt to soothe her. She glanced up at you when she was done and flushed the toilet “why are you here?” she asked while rinsing her mouth in the sink and holding a hand to her head while wincing. You tried to hide your disappointment, last night it was the alcohol speaking, not her, it didn’t even make sense that she would remember it, really. “you couldn’t stay on your feet on your own, let alone walk back to your room, I wanted to make sure you were okay so I slept in that armchair” you gestured to the armchair at the corner of her room
“You didn’t have to do that” she said “but I’m glad you did, thank you” sending you a tired smile. You squeezed her shoulder “I’m gonna go make some breakfast you want some?” you asked at her doorway “please” she said while removing the makeup from the night before. You nodded and made your way to the kitchen
Once you step foot in the kitchen, you saw Thor with a triumphant smile on his face and the rest of the Avengers grumbling, you slapped a 50 dollar note on the table, shaking your head amusedly as you passed by. Thor’s grin widened further as he stuffed the money into his pocket. There were pancakes in the pan, courtesy of Wanda most probably. You put two each on separate plates, slathering Nutella on yours and drizzling syrup on Natasha’s. you made some coffee and poured out two mugs
When you came back to the table, Natasha was already seated wearing a hoodie, one of yours you realized with a skip of your heartbeat, and sweatpants. Setting the plate and mug of coffee in front of her, you took a seat and dug in.
It was only in the afternoon when you and Natasha were working on reports that her cheeks suddenly went pink and she stared at you with an expression of mortification. You frowned at her sudden distress and walked over to her “what’s wrong?” you asked, genuinely concerned. “last night, what I said, I’m sorry if I made you uncomfortable, I didn’t, I mean, I do feel that way, but if you don’t it’s completely understandable and I-” you cut her off by pressing your lips to hers, the feeling of her lips against yours was heavenly, they were soft and tasted like her vanilla and cherry chapstick.
“I love you too” you whispered slightly dazed from the fact that you’d just kissed Natasha and that she hadn’t pulled away “show me how much” she said and kissed you again.

Okay i sended my request before i finished it basicly MC died became a angel and is dating 1 of the most powerfull demon that their is then threw whine at God to become a demon (luke and simeon saw it all happen) cause they want to be with the brothers and their reasons?
They wanted to be a demon, they are gonna live their life however they want and nobody is stop them not even fucking God himself and how many people get to say they threw whine at God only 1 and thats MC *proud MC noises*🥴😁🤪
Just how would everyone react? or if you don't want to do everyone just the brothers
HELLO, I JUST WANTED TO SAY I LOVE YOU /p
It's not everyday that you get to write about someone throwing wine at God.
Also, I decided to do the brothers with Simeon and Luke!
I'M SO SORRY THIS IS LATE, MY BRAIN HASN'T BEEN WORKING SO IT'S HARD TO THINK
I also went off track, if you want me to rewrite it, please tell me </3
Requests open! Please request at @local-pansexual-writer !
The brothers, Simeon, and Luke reacting to Angel MC throwing wine at God to become a demon
Warning: A little angst (MC's death) and a little vulgar language
I hope I got that right-
I also did not proof read this
Lucifer
When MC died, Lucifer already knew that they were becoming an angel.
He didn't like that but he didn't want to be selfish, so he overworked himself to not think about it.
That is until MC comes to his office, in a demon form with a proud look on their face.
Lucifer first thought he was imagining things until MC ran to him and gave him a hug while he was sitting down.
He was in shock for almost a minute but he quickly gave MC a hug, got them on his lap, and pulled them in for a kiss, not caring that he broke his composure.
But then Lucifer realized that they were a demon, what happened?
MC quickly told him the story.
"Well, being an angel wasn't so fun, I just missed you guys. So I decided to throw wine at God because he has the audacity to boss me around!"
Lucifer was very starstruck, MC threw wine... at God?
Fucking loves MC so much.
It's hard to see someone else living your dream. Marry him now.
Of course he's still concerned for MC because they did just become a demon.
Lucifer will take in the pride of having a partner who threw wine at fucking God.
He may or may not tease MC sometimes.
"You never learn do you?"
Mammon
Mammon became depressed after MC's death, they were like his other half.
Now they're probably with the angels so he'll never see them again.
He just gambled away all his money and got into more debt.
That was until Mammon came back to his room and seeing MC sitting on his bed, waving at him.
Didn't even think for a minute and ran to them, hugging and kissing them while they both sunk on the bed.
But after they stand up from the bed, he finally starts thinking and is confused on how they're in the Devildom.
MC tells him the story while having a proud face.
"I threw wine at God! I just want to be free and not follow so many rules."
Starts laughing nonstop, imagining his Father's face.
Ruffles MC's hair.
"I'm proud of ya!"
Leviathan
When MC died, he would not get out of his room.
Games and anime abandoned because they somehow remind him of MC.
His brothers needed to force him to eat and get some fresh air.
While he was ranting to Henry, MC bursts into his room.
Levi was SHOOK and was a little frightened thinking that it was one of his brothers to force him out until he heard their voice.
"I'm back!~"
Levi never got up so fast and ran to MC, hugging them hard.
His awkward attitude got thrown out the window, he was just relieved to see MC again.
That was until he remembered they were in the Devildom, he has lots of questions.
MC excitedly told him what happened.
"Well, I was starting to get bored and tired as an angel so I decided to throw wine at God!"
Needed a minute to comprehend it but when he did, he started laughing.
Wishes MC got a picture of it.
"I wish I had your confidence!"
Satan
When MC died, he really didn't know what to do.
Satan tried reading books but it was hard when there's a slight comparison to MC.
He tried going to cat cafes but it just reminded him of MC.
Satan was cleaning a classroom when someone hugged him from behind.
He quickly turned around, ready to push them away until he saw it was MC.
Quickly hugs and kisses MC, he's really excited to see them back and already starts thinking of date plans.
Until he realizes that MC was in their demon form, weren't they suppose to be an angel?
MC's face lights up and quickly tells him.
"God was giving me a lot of orders to do so I decided to throw wine at him!"
Takes a minute to process.
But then Satan starts laughing and pats their head.
Secretly, he was REAL proud of them. I mean, God did kill his sister right?
New date idea: Drinking wine.
"You will always be a troublemaker, won't you?"
Asmodeus
Starts going out to parties less and less after MC's death.
Asmo tries to keep up with appearance but it feels like a chore.
He'll sulk around his room, trying to think that MC is happy in the Celestial Realm.
Until someone kicks open his door. Asmo is ready to scold one of his brothers (Mammon) but his words get stuck in his throat when he sees MC.
They both run to each other and Asmo will hug h a r d that MC needs to ask to breathe.
MC only gets 1 second to breathe until they get attacked with kisses all around their face.
Asmo only realizes that MC is a demon when he remembers why he was sulking around.
MC excitedly tells him the story.
"I threw wine at God! You should've seen his face!"
H u h . . H U H
Kind of worried? I mean, MC did throw wine at GOD.
But that was kind of hot of MC?
That's one of his reasons on why he loves MC, they're fearless! It's kind of a problem sometimes
Though, Asmo is disappointed you didn't take any pictures. He could've posted it on Devilgram!
"You're so fearless!~ But I think we should set up on some boundaries..."
Beelzebub
Didn't eat a lot after MC died, even if his stomach growled REALLY loud.
His brothers forced him to eat because it was too loud.
Everyone was concerned for him.
While he was sitting at the dining table, looking at his plate of food, until he heard MC's voice.
"You're not gonna eat that?"
Never hugged someone so fast.
Even if he hugged MC fast, he was still surprised to see them.
Weren't they suppose to be in the Celestial Realm?
"Oh yeah... The Celestial Realm... Well I threw wine at God so I could come back here! He was kind of a bitch too..."
W-What
Yeah he was happy that MC was back with him but throwing WINE at GOD?
Worry chuckle.
He's also kind of proud though?
God deserved that honestly.
"You should be more careful MC... But since you're back, how about we eat? I'm hungry..."
Belphegor
Would not stop sleeping.
But even in his sleep, he felt cold, no matter how many blankets.
Belphie was used to MC's warmth.
On some nights he can't sleep, he tries to hold one of MC's favorite plushies.
While sleeping, he suddenly woke up because he felt a familiar warmth.
Quickly opened his eyes to see MC grinning at him.
Belphie became WOKE and hugged them tightly.
But then he realized, slowly but surely, that they aren't an angel.
MC told him the story.
"Well... I threw wine at God because he's so bossy. I just wanted freedom, y'know? You should've seen his face!
Belphie being Belphie, broke out laughing.
Is PROUD of MC.
Belphie kept imagining God's face, he wishes MC took a picture, he would've made it his lockscreen and laugh at it.
"Good job MC! I wish I could do that too!"
Simeon and Luke
(Writing them together)
What did they just watch?
Simeon and Luke saw how angry MC was to be in the Celestial Realm but didn't think they would throw WINE AT GOD.
Luke quickly brings napkins to God while Simeon calms MC down.
They are both thinking "Is this a dream??"
Didn't think MC would have that AUDACITY.
Simeon and Luke visit MC in the Devildom.
"Why would you do that! That was really unreasonable of you MC! Good thing we were there to calm God down!" Luke yelled out of concern.
"MC, you shouldn't pull stunts like that." said Simeon, also concerned.
"Serves him right! Shouldn't have been so bossy with me." Huffs MC.
In the end, Simeon and Luke are happy that MC is okay.

SORRY FOR TAKING SO LONGGGG
AND SORRY IF IT WASN'T WHAT YOU WANTED </3
BUT THANKS FOR REQUESTING!! :D

You and Ashley have been friends for four years now. You went through a lot of hardships together, especially when Ashley had an unplanned pregnancy in the last year of college. Luckily, Mason, now her husband, is an amazing person, and even though it was hard, she was able to graduate. You loved her baby, Arthur, so much, like it was your little brother. You knew that their anniversary was getting closer and you wanted to surprise her.
"No way, I cannot ask you for something like that."
"You're not asking, I'm offering. Besides, you know I love spending time with Arthur," you said, holding your phone with one hand while you tried to wash the dishes you used to eat dinner with the other.
"I don't know Y/N..."
"Girl, just stop. I'm not taking a no for an answer. Spending quality time with your husband is important and I know that you have been not getting laid lately."
"You have no idea how hard it is to have sex with a one-year-old making a mess everywhere." You both laughed.
"I'll go to your house tomorrow at 7 pm. Get a reservation at a nice restaurant, get shaved and, wear your best dress. I want you and Mason to have a good time together."
"Okay, but only because it is our anniversary. I'm gonna take this as a present." Ashley sighed, knowing that she had to say yes anyway.
"Because it is, Ashley. I'll see you tomorrow, bye."
"Bye, honey."
You finished your shores and were planning on watching some videos on youtube when you heard your phone buzzing. You picked it up and saw that you had a message.
Felix, 8:45 pm: Hey
Felix, 8:45 pm: Sorry for messaging late but, are you free tomorrow?
You chuckled. Almost 9 pm wasn't late.
Y/N, 8:46 pm: Sorry, I'm going to my friend's house after work.
Y/N, 8:47 pm: I'm going to babysit her baby so she can go have dinner with her husband.
You met Felix at work, during lunch. He was new there and you have seen him sometimes walking around the place, but you never talked to him. Until one day when he dropped his coffee on you. You remembered how embarrassed he was, his cheeks were red and he profusely apologized. Ever since, you had some small talk with him here and there until one day you gave him his number, saying that he could message you if he needed help with something from work. You know it was bullshit since he was from a different department, but still, you needed an excuse to talk to him. He messaged you a few times but eventually, you thought it was a lost cause.
Y/N, 8:57 pm: Why do you ask?
Felix, 9:00 pm: Nothing.
Felix, 9:01 pm: It's silly.
Y/N, 9:03 pm: If it was that silly, you wouldn't have messaged me.
Y/N, 9:03 pm: Spit it out.
Felix, 9:12 pm: There's a convention for Star Wars fans tomorrow. You said that you loved the movies one time so I bought tickets for you.
Y/N, 9:14 pm: Why didn't you tell me before?
Felix, 9:15 pm: I didn't know if you would want to go. But it's okay, don't worry about it.
You thought for a moment. You really wanted to spend time with him. Felix was so sweet, respectful and kind. He was also very, very handsome.
Y/N, 9:30 pm: Do you wanna come to my friend's house tomorrow with me?
You looked at your phone five minutes later and saw that Felix visualized the message but didn't answer. "Congratulations, you fucked it up, Y/N," you said.
You sat on your couch and turned the tv on, planning on finally watching your favorite youtube videos, when you heard your phone buzzing again.
Felix, 9:50 pm: Sure, why not? Is it okay with your friend? She doesn't know me.
You sighed, happy that he answered.
Y/N, 9:51 pm: I'm gonna tell her but I'm pretty sure she'll be fine.
Tumblr media
"Is he cute?" Ashley asked, putting on her earring. She looked gorgeous with a tight red dress that accentuated her curves and contrasted with her dark skin. Her curly hair was in a bun, leaving her neck and shoulders exposed. You knew Mason would love it.
"He is very cute. And he's so nice too. I only invited him over because he seems really sweet."
You went to Ashley's house one hour before she would leave for dinner so you could help her get ready, and by help, you meant to force her to wear something that wasn't a t-shirt and jeans.
"How do I look?" she turned around, facing you.
"Gorgeous as always."
Ashley hugged you tight. "Thank you so much, Y/N. You know you don't have to do this, right?"
"But I want to."
The bell rang.
"That's probably Felix," you said.
"Let's go downstairs, I wanna meet this boy."
When you went to the living room you saw Felix talking to Mason.
"Hello, I'm Ashley, nice to meet you."
"I'm Felix, nice to meet you too," Felix raised his hand so he could shake Ashley's hand but she gave him a light hug. You smiled, finding really cute how awkward he was.
"Arthur is sleeping now, he already ate, but if he wakes up, there's milk on the fridge. He usually sleeps all night so you don't have much to worry about."
"Okay, you guys have to go before you're late for dinner," you said, pulling Mason and Ashley towards the door.
"Call me if you need anything. We'll be back tomorrow morning so you'll don't have much trouble with him."
"Don't worry about it. You can take your time."
"Also, don't forg-"
"Baby, we have to go," Mason insisted, holding her hand and trying to get her inside of the car.
"Fine. Bye everyone, see you tomorrow."
You waved at them before going inside and closing the door.
"I'm gonna check on Arthur for a second, you can wait here, okay?" You told Felix.
"Sure."
You went upstairs and checked on Arthur's room. He was sleeping soundly. You felt the urge to lightly pinch his chubby little cute cheeks but you decided not to bother him. You went to the living room again and Felix was sitting on the couch.
"Are you hungry? We bought pizza."
"Uhm, not really."
"Are you sure?" you insisted.
"Okay, one slice would be good."
Felix got up and followed you to the kitchen.
"Your friend has a beautiful house," he said, admiring the place.
"She does. I mean, she's an architect and Mason is an engineer, so they were able to buy a nice place," you cut a piece and handed it to him.
"You said that you studied together."
"We went to the same college, but I graduated in graphic design. For obvious reasons, I don't make as much money as them," you laughed. "Did you always wanted to work in a publishing company?" Felix sat on the balcony standing in the middle of the kitchen. "Honestly, I just wanted to work with what I love. Graphic design is not something that people value but it is what makes me happy." You looked at him and Felix smiled at you, his dimple prominent on his face. He was so cute. "What about you?" "Oh, marketing is definitely not something I dreamed of working with. My family has a long line of people that have been working with it, so I barely had a choice,” Felix confessed. "Oh, yeah?" "Yeah." He looked thoughtful like his mind was somewhere else. "I actually wanted to work with art. I love painting." "Really? That's so cool. Do you have a picture of a painting to show me? I would love to see it." Felix hesitated for a while before he grabbed his phone and scrolled through his gallery. "Please don't think I'm weird," he said before showing you the picture. You raised your eyebrows when you saw what was on the screen of his phone. A beautiful painting of you. You realized that he used your profile picture on Facebook as a reference. "Felix, this is amazing." "It took me a week to finish it," he said, holding his hands behind his back, clearly feeling shy. "I love it, really." You and Felix finished eating. You talked more about your plans for the future, the things you wanted to do with your life, your dreams. You were sitting on the couch watching tv when you heard Arthur crying upstairs. "Ops, somebody woke up." You got up to go to his room and you noticed that Felix was following you. "You don't have to go if you don't want to." "It's fine, I wanna help you." When you entered the room, Arthur was up in his crib, deeply crying. "It's okay," you said in a soft tone, picking him up. "I think somebody needs to change its diaper," Felix said. "You are right," you laughed. "Let's change this little boy." You put Arthur on the changing mat and started to change him, but to be honest, you had no idea what you were doing. Felix laughed. "Let me help you." Felix quickly changed his diaper, he clearly knew what he was doing. "Woah, how do you know that?" you asked, looking at him dumbfounded. He laughed again, amused by your reaction. "I have a small brother so I have changed his diaper plenty of times." "Aaah, that explains a lot."
"Let's see if he wants to eat," Felix said, holding Arthur in his arms. You went to the kitchen and looked for the milk. After pouring it into a pan, you heated it up. "We need to make sure we don't overheat it so it won't burn the baby," Felix said while he tested the milk's temperature. You put it into a baby bottle and gave it to Arthur who promptly drank it. "I guess he was hungry," Felix chuckled. "Do you plan on having kids, Felix?" you looked at him, completely mesmerized by how good he was with kids. "Yes, I love kids. I plan on having two kids one day." "That's so cute, I'm sure you'll be an amazing dad." Felix smiled, making your heart skip a beat. "Do you want to have kids, Y/N?" he looked apprehensive. "Yeah, one day. I still need to find the right person." "Of course." Arthur went back to sleep again when he was done eating. "Not gonna lie, taking care of a baby can be tiring," claimed said, sitting on the couch. Felix sat next to you, his knee touching your leg. "Do you want to watch a movie?" you asked. "Sure!" Twenty minutes later, you started to sleep. Your head felt heavy until it fell on Felix's shoulder. He simply smiled, enjoying the feeling of you so close to him.
Tumblr media
The sound of the bell ringing woke you up. You were laying on the couch, a blanket over your body. You looked around and Felix was sleeping on the smaller couch next to yours, with just a pillow under his head. You got up and answered the door. "Hey!" Ashley said, hugging you. "Hi. How was your night?" "It was amazing. Thank you so much, Y/N." Ashley went to the middle of the living room to drop her bag on the couch, Mason following behind. "How's Arthur? Did he behaved?" Mason asked. "Yeah, he slept almost all of the time." You rubbed your eyes, still feeling sleepy. Ashley turned around, seeing Felix sleeping on the couch. "You guys could have slept in the guest room," she laughed. "I'm gonna check on Arthur. What about some breakfast later?" Mason suggested. "That sounds great, but I think we should go home. Besides, you guys need to spend some family time with your baby." You woke Felix up, and while he was trying to get conscious, you chatted with Ashley about dinner. Mason went downstairs with Arthur and you chatted a little more before leaving. "Do you want me to take you home?" Felix asked, leaving Ashley's house by your side. "No, it's okay, I'll get an Uber." "Aw, come on. I'm not gonna let you leave on an Uber so early in the morning." You looked at him, admiring the freckles on his skin. His pink lips looked soft and you had to fight the urge to kiss him. "You know what, okay. I'll go with you." The drive to your house was silent, the music playing on the radio helped you to distract the thoughts on your head. The night you spent with Felix was amazing, seeing him being so sweet like that only made you even more attracted to him. Felix stopped in front of your house. "Well, we are here." "Do you want to come in?" "Oh... uhm, sure, yes, that would be great." You smiled and left the car, running to open the door for him. "Please don't mind the mess," you said, taking some clothes that were on the couch. "Don't worry about it." "Do you want to eat something?" "I'm fine, I'm still full because of the pizza from yesterday." "Okay." There was an awkward silence for a while and you realized you didn't think this through. Invite him over and what? "You know what? There's something I want to eat," Felix said. "Oh, okay. What do you want? I have bread, cereal, we can make panca-" "You." "What?" you looked at him, your eyes wide. "I w-want to eat you." Felix stuttered, his face showing that he was feeling too shy to be saying the words that left his mouth. "Oh, I'm... I-" you didn't have the chance to finish, Felix approached you and kissed you. You were still processing what was happening so you didn't kiss him back yet. Felix noticed and stopped kissing you. "I-I'm so sorry, Y/N, I shoul-" "No! It's okay. I just wasn't expecting." You kissed him, holding his face and tasting his lips. His left hand held the back of your head while the other held your waist. He bit your lower lip, his tongue entering your mouth and playing with yours. He pressed his body against yours and you felt his semi-hard dick. You whined, trying to control your breath. "Do you want to keep going?" Felix asked, his forehead resting against yours. You simply nodded. "Where's your room?" You grabbed his hand, guiding him to your room. Once you were inside, Felix slammed you against the door, pressing his body into yours. He started to grind his clothed cock on your heat and, this time, you couldn't hold your moans anymore. "Felix," was all you managed to say before he kissed you again. A messy kiss that screamed how much he was longing for you, how much he desired you. His hand grabbed your ass, pulling you closer as if it was even possible. "I wanna taste you," he said, taking you to the bed. You laid down and he wasted no time to take off your pants, pulling your panties with them in a swift movement. Soon enough, his tongue was exploring your wet lips, savoring the taste of your arousal. Felix played with your clit, his tongue sliding against the sensitive skin. You hoped that your neighbors had already left for work, otherwise you would end up waking them up because of your moans. Felix stopped eating you out to unbutton his shirt. "You have no idea how much I wanted to fuck you," he said, his voice deep, making you raise your hips, craving to be filled up. "Felix, please," you moaned. "You want me to fuck you, baby?" "Yes, please." It was embarrassing, you weren't used to begging. Most of the time that you had sex, you were always the one in control. But not with Felix. "Are you on the pill?" Felix asked, taking the rest of his clothes off and pumping his rock-hard cock. "Yeah, please fuck me." "Anything for you," he growled, sliding his dick into your dripping pussy. Felix already started an incessant pounding into you, stealing moans from your throat. "You are so fucking beautiful." You closed your eyes, feeling the burning on your stomach getting stronger. "Fuck, so fucking good, Y/N. You are taking me so well." "Please, don't s-stop." "Turn around, I wanna fuck you from behind." You didn't have much strength left, but Felix helped you out. He was inside of you again, hitting the right spots in this position. Felix felt your pussy tightening against his dick and he started to play with your clit. "Fuck, Felix, I'm gonna cum," you screamed, not being able to control yourself anymore. You came, a long moan leaving your mouth. "I'm gonna cum inside of your little pussy, I'm gonna fill you up so good." He didn't slow his pace, his hips hitting yours in a fast rhythm. "I'm gonna put a baby in your little cute belly, baby girl," he said, closing his eyes as his dick slid in and out of your pussy. "Fuck," you moaned. "You are gonna look so good, all swollen, f-fuck." A few lazy thrusts and Felix came inside of you. He kept thrusting on you for a while until you milked him out. He laid by your side, trying to catch his breath. Felix put his arm on his face, hiding it. He looked completely flustered. "I'm sorry, Y/N. It was way too soon for me to let out this embarrassing kinky stuff." "Felix, shut up. It was fucking hot," you smiled, turning around to hug him and rest your head on his chest. He played with your hair, the warmth of his skin making you fall asleep. But sleeping wasn't on Felix's plans. "Ready for round two?"

"Hongjoong!"
You were practically swinging your feet in the air, whining and pouting like a child out of boredom and annoyance at being cooped up in the studio with your boyfriend.
"5 more minutes." He repeated.
"You've said that for the last 45 minutes." You groaned, tired of waiting for him to finish up.
"I promise I'm serious this time." He assured you.
5 minutes quickly turned to 10, nearly becoming 15. You let out a huff every now and then, eyes staring daggers into the back of your boyfriend's head. Seriously, why could he not take a little break? You wanted to spend time with him yet even on what's supposed to be his day off, he still chooses to work when you could both be doing.....other things.
Getting an idea, your hands quickly worked to rid yourself of your pants and underwear, Hongjoong, still focused on his task didn't even budge at the sound behind him. But when he began to hear some rather familiar moaning, he swung his chair around and was shocked to see you legs spread on the couch, your fingers rubbing against your clit as you stared at him through hooded eyelids. Hongjoong instantly got hard. Licking his lips, he got up and took his place next to you on the couch. Fumbling with his zipper, he pulled his pants down enough to stroke his hardened member.
"Let's play a game since you're so bored. If you can get yourself off before I cum, I'll eat you out right here. But if I cum first, you have to suck me off."

You were even more tired and angry than when you woke up. Why did your boyfriend have to be so difficult and special about cleaning? You literally spent over an hour lint rolling the shelves over and over again because you had 'missed a spot.'
"Make sure to get the corners, that's where the dust mostly accumulates." He called out from the kitchen.
Not being able to take it anymore, you threw the roller and the rag you were holding down onto the floor. You were tired of being ignored by your boyfriend except when he came over to inspect your cleaning. So you decided it was time to get back at him while simultaneously showing him getting dirty isn't such a bad thing.
Picking up the bucket of murky water, you mentally patted yourself on the back for choosing not to wear a bra underneath your white tank top. Looking over at Seonghwa, who still had his back turned, you put your plan in action. Splashing some of the contents all over you, you let out a squeal that had Seonghwa running over immediately.
"What?" He asked as he came in.
Putting on the biggest pout you could muster, you turned around to let him see the mess you made: white tank top soaked, your breasts completely visible through it, nipples poking out. Seonghwa's mouth dropped as he stared at them, unable to peel his eyes off.
"I'm dirty." You let out a huff.
Discarding the rag he was holding, Seonghwa pulled you against him as he began to peel your shirt off.
"Why don't we get you cleaned up then?"

Once again you tried to pull your boyfriend out of bed.
"Yunho, baby. Come on. You have to get up."
You tried to tug his arm, pulling it but he didn't budge at all. Dropping his arm, you looked at him with an 'are you kidding me' expression.
"You said you were going to get up early to spend time together." You reminded him.
Letting out a tired groan, turned onto his stomach and hugged the pillow underneath him.
"I will....just give me a few more minutes..."
Shaking your head, you smacked his back before getting up yourself. You decided to let him have it his way. You had a lot of things to do today, starting with taking a shower. You made sure to slam the drawers rather loudly in an attempt to annoy your boyfriend, which he did not really appreciate, but still didn't say anything.
You were barely 2 minutes into your shower when you remembered you forgot your shampoo in your vanity dresser. Not even caring to turn off the water since you would be in and out in less than 10 seconds, you sprinted out the bathroom, door accidentally letting out a loud noise that startled your boyfriend. He quickly shot up and his gaze fell on you and your dripping naked body.
"Sorry Yunho, I forgot this." You apologized profusely.
Yunho blinked slowly, eyes scanning your entire body as he began to move off the bed.
"Damn...I'm definitely up now." He chuckled at the double meaning behind his statement.
Although you didn't plan it, you couldn't complain when he pulled his shirt over his head and began walking you back into the bathroom.
"Let's hurry before the water gets cold." He said with a smirk on his face as he closed the door behind him.

"I swear to god, you probably love chicken more than me."
Besides the fact your cold boyfriend was being a selfish asshole by not sharing his meal, he had been blatantly ignoring you when you both knew damn well he was more than capable of maintaining a conversation while also eating his dinner. You let out a scoff when he still didn't acknowledge you and just kept munching on the stupid drumstick. Picking up one of his fries, you flung it at his head.
"I am talking to you!" You exclaimed.
"Busy." He pointed down at his food, mouth full of chicken, you don't even get how you even understood that one word.
"Well you definitely answered my question. You do love chicken more than me. I bet if you had to choose between me or a chicken leg, you wouldn't hesitate to grabbed the chicken leg and ditch me."
You were seriously about to smack him when he just stared you down as he reached for another chicken leg.
"Are you serious-"
Getting up in frustration, you were going to go the bedroom and make him sleep on the couch, but suddenly an idea popped in your head. Turning back around, you stood right in front of him from across the table, hands on your hips. He gave you a questioning look when he finally looked over at you and then proceeded to choke slightly when you lifted your shirt up and flashed your boobs at him. The poor boy was nearly wheezing at the sight. Feeling satisfied, you put your shirt down and chuckled at him.
Quickly putting the leg down, Yeosang began wiping his hands on a napkin as he walked over to you.
"I'm suddenly hungry for something else."

"Who's the prettiest girl? You are..yes you are." San cooed at the siamese he was currently smothering in his embrace.
Meanwhile you were on the other side of the couch, no longer paying attention to the movie playing. Well technically neither was your boyfriend, but you weren't watching cause you were too busy witnessing some furry feline steal his attention away from you to the point of abandoning your cuddling session in favor for her.
"San, she doesn't even want to be held." You pointed out how her claws were sticking out, her head looking in all directions trying to search for a way out of his embrace.
"Nonsense! My babygirl loves me." He chuckled as he kissed the top of her head.
"I thought I was your babygirl." You whimpered slightly.
San didn't respond which made you even more jealous of the stupid yet totally innocent cat who just wanted to be free from her owner's caresses. Tapping a finger against your cheek, a sinful idea popped in your head. Taking advantage of the fact a blanket was covering your lower half, you pulled your shorts and panties down without San noticing anything. Pulling the blanket off you and lifting his hoodie that you were wearing slightly up, you spread your legs before calling out to him in a sing song voice.
When San looked over, his jaw dropped at the sight and he immediately put Byeol down on the floor.
"Go on now girl, run along." He patted her behind.
With a sly smirk, he began to position himself in between your thighs.
"Cause there's another pussy I want to play with."

It was supposed to be a date night with your boyfriend. You two had already finished eating the delicious meal you cooked specially for him and were now supposed to watch a movie together, yet his eyes were glued to his phone. Glancing over, you frowned when you saw he was texting no one else but Yunho.
"Mingi?" You poked his cheek.
"Hmm?" He barely acknowledged you.
"You're not watching the movie." You said.
"Yeah I am." He responded, typing something into his phone.
Rolling your eyes, you then asked him what part was it on.
"The part where they found out the butler did it." He answered you.
You wanted to face palm. The idiot forgot it wasn't even a thriller since his baby ass couldn't handle them. Getting up, you told him you were going to the bathroom, which he probably didn't hear since his conversation with Yunho must obviously be more important than his date night with you. Turning on the light, you peeled off your pajama set to reveal the new lingerie set you bought specifically for tonight. Pulling out your phone, you quickly snapped a photo and sent it to him. Hearing a loud thud, you smirked as you knew he saw it and that noise was of him dropping his phone.
When you came back out, he was no longer on his phone, instead his attention was fully on you. Clearing his throat, he stared at the pastel pink set.
"You got that just for tonight?" He questioned you.
"Yep." You nodded.
Letting out a long sigh, he got up and went over to you, an arm slinging around your waist.
"I'm an ass aren't I?"
You giggled at him and pecked his lips.
"Just shut up and come on. I didn't spend so much money on this for it to go to waste."
Mingi was a giggling and blushing mess as he allowed you to lead him into the bedroom.

You covered your ears at your boyfriend's obnoxious and loud laugh, no doubt signaling another victory on the stupid game he was currently playing. He had the volume up so loud you could actually hear some of the sound effects emanating from it.
"Jung Wooyoung!!!!" You screamed at the top of your lungs and yet he still couldn't hear you.
Throwing your hands up in frustration, you gave up and went into your room. Taking out your phone, you began scrolling mindlessly through tiktok. Nothing besides cat videos were actually interesting at this point....
Until you saw the newest challenge that was trending all over. Perfect for girls who had oblivious gamer boyfriends like the one you had. Getting up, you decided to put the plan into action. Stripping out of your clothes, you grabbed a towel to wrap around yourself and grabbed a nearby plushie toy to throw at him since yelling wasn't going to work.
As expected, he did not notice you standing in front of him for a while after you came out. Aiming the plushie at him, you struck him right on the face. He immediately ripped his headset off.
"What the fuck are you-"
He froze when he saw you standing there, a mischievous look on your face. Swallowing hard, he widened his eyes when you let the towel drop on the floor, your naked body on full display for him. Not even bothering to see if he paused the game or not, he quickly got up and started walking towards you.
"Come here babygirl."
Knowing his teasing tone to well, you quickly sped down the hallway, giggling loudly as Wooyoung chased after you, catching up to you and holding you in his arms.
"Stop right there. You caused a problem, now you fix it."
Throwing you over his shoulder, he gave your ass a slap as he walked into the bedroom. Throwing you on the bed, he straddled your lap and began to free himself out of his sweatpants.
"Ok. Why not show me your skills with a joystick for once?"

You could not peel your eyes off your boyfriend's arms as they continued to lift up the weights he was holding. You were pretty sure you were drooling at this point. Every time his muscles flexed, you were tugging at your bottom lip with your teeth, your thighs clenching closer together.
"Jongho?" You shyly called out to him.
He didn't respond since he had his earbuds in, music full volume. Besides, when he was concentrated on something it was very difficult to get him to break focus. So you needed to think of something that would work.
Looking down and fumbling with the hem of your skirt, you finally had an idea. Moving cautiously so he wouldn't notice, you slipped a hand inside and began pulling your panties down your legs. Not like you needed them, they were practically drenched already.
Casually walking in front of Jongho, you pretended to be on your phone and 'accidentally' drop it. Bending down, you made sure your skirt rode up enough for him to notice you weren't wearing underwear. That is if he had even looked over at you. Glancing back, you caught your boyfriend's eyes, which were staring at you in disbelief.
"Guess it worked." You chuckled inwardly.
Putting the weights down, Jongho took off his earbuds and walked over to you. His fingers glided down to your skirt.
"Are you trying to tell me something?" He whispered, lips ghosting over your earlobe.
Sucking in a breath, you whined at him.
"I want you to pay attention to me."
Chuckling softly, he pressed your body to the wall, hands going to the back of your thighs and lifting you up effortlessly.
"Well then. Wanna help me out? Let's see how long I can lift you in and out of my cock."

“Go to hell, y/n!” I shut my eyes tightly as something hit my back hardly when my step sister started throwing things towards me.
I just turned 18 and now they’re trying to kick me out of from the house my Dad had left us. Well, my Mom died when I was just 9 years old. My father got so lonely because of her and he thought I was feeling the same way so he decided to re-marry.
He married my Step-mother four years ago. She have one daughter and they weren’t that nice to me. She just treat me nicely whenever my Dad is around, and now that he left me too. I have nobody else beside me. I’m all alone.
I cried silently as I tried picking up my things that were now scattered all over the floor. My step-mother starred down right at me with no sympathy. Beside her was my step-sister whose smirking widely while watching me suffer. I bet they’ve waited long for this to happen, to get rid of me.
After getting all of my stuff, I started walking directionless. Like a lifeless human, I was walking mindlessly. I don’t know where to go or even what to do. It will be night soon and I don’t think it will be too nice for a young girl to be all alone out here.
I gulped and quickly search for my phone. Delighted to see that there was still a little battery left, I gulped dialing someone.
“Who’s this?” I gulped feeling thrilled that she actually picked up.
“It’s me y/n.” I bit my lower lip and I heard her heavy sigh right away.
We weren’t close and maybe she’s even annoyed that I gave her a ring but I don’t have anyone else to call. My hand automatically made its way over to my lips as I started biting my fingernails.
“Why did you call me?”
“U-Uhh.. I don’t have anywhere else to go. My step mother kicked me out and--”
“And you’re calling me right now because? Hey, not because i’m the class president you're allowed to do this.” she sounded so sarcastic and annoyed at the same time.
You were silent for a while. You can’t fully blame her, to be called out of nowhere by someone you’re not close with will definitely weird and creepy. Not to mention that you’re one of the most bullied students in your class.
“Can you p-please help me out? Just this o-once. I just don’t know what to do anymore.” you’re mind are all messed up. No thoughts at all, the fact that you’ve been kicked out from the house where you spent your whole life with was still not sinking in to you.
Your eyes can’t even produce any tears at the moment. You feel like you’ve been crying too much that you actually got tired of it.
A sigh from the other line was heard and it pulled you back to reality, “What do you need?”
“C-Can I stay with you? Even in just a few--”
“What? No way! Don’t you have anyone else?” she sounded more irritated. Feeling more anxious about it, you gulped.
“I have nobody else.” you’re voice sounded so low and lifeless. Having nothing else to push you to live anymore, your last resort was to just take your own life.
“Ugh, why do you have to be a sore loser?” you bit your lower lip trying to ignore her rude comment. You have no one else who can take you in for a few days while you look for a job.
“Fine. Just go here.” and she dropped the call right away.
A small smile actually spreads through your face as you headed towards her apartment. Finally feeling like you’re starting to make a change in your life, you plot some plans inside your head. Things you need to do in order to live a better life.
As you arrive at her place, you knocked and waited patiently for her to open the door for you. With an unpleased look, she faced you and lets you inside.
She didn’t even ask if you’re okay or anything. Despite the bruises all over your body, she ignored it and just guided you to a vacant room. It was dusty and unorganized but you can’t complain. You should even be grateful she lets you be here for a few days.
“3-4 days maximum.” she reminded you before going out of the room.
You nodded your head even after she left and roamed your eyes around. Letting out a heavy sigh, you started arranging things so you can fix the bed and maybe get ready for sleep. You can feel your stomach grumbling out of hunger but you ignored it completely. You have no money to buy any food and you don’t want to trouble your class president for food as well. It would be too much hindrance for her.
You slept with an empty stomach that night so when you woke up the next day, you kind of don’t have any strength. When you went out, you saw a note over at the table saying she left some food and some spare keys.
Feeling thankful about it, you had breakfast and made sure you’ll thank her later on. When you arrived school, your step-sister was already there smirking at you. You tried hard avoiding her and just straightly went to your seat at the back.
The students around were starring at you for a bit while and even whispering with each other. Seems like your step-sister had announced at the whole class that you’ve been kicked out from your house. You were wondering what kind of false rumors did she create this time.
“It’s Jake!” your head snapped right over at the door when the girls inside your class got so excited about someone.
Jake Sim. Your eyes settled at the handsome boy who entered the class smiling. He was really attractive and almost the whole class likes him, including your step-sister. She was crazy for him.
You can’t blame her since he was really gorgeous. He’s nice too, always wearing a smile and kind to everybody. But theres just one thing that you’ve noticed with him. His eyes looked dead sometimes. Like even if he’s smiling, his eyes were lifeless.
You jolted a bit when both of your eyes met each other. With light red tinted over your face, you quickly looked away. This isn’t the right time to have a crush on somebody, y/n! You’ve got to find a job first.
After the bell rang, indicating that the class had finished, you hurried yourself out avoiding students. You’re determined to go and look for a job to support your needs.
The whole time remaining, you just tried looking for a job but no luck. You went back disappointed and trying hard to convince yourself that you can try and find for another one tomorrow.
The next days were just the same for you. It was no luck, you feel like you’re step-mother were starting to meddle with it as well. And also, lately, you’ve noticed Jake’s stares over at you during classes. He never done that before, but it was often these past two days. You don’t want to sound assuming or anything but that’s just how you noticed it.
The third day of hunting for a job, it was also a failure. With a heavy heart you trailed over at the quiet street of your town. It was 9pm, almost 10. Less people can be seen outside. After some rumors about the missing persons, people in your town started to be more careful.
Your feet brought you over a bridge. You starred right over at it mindlessly. Mind completely blank with thoughts, your mind wondered over those timed when you’re still happy. When you’re Mom was still there, back when you still have someone to lean on.
For the first time in days, you felt your eyes teared up. The image of your Mom that were always so clear for you flashed back right in your mind. Her comforting smile and warm hugs, you sure miss them the most. You cried silently while walking towards the edge of the bridge. You starred right down, it was the cold river.
With eyes full of tears, you roamed them around trying to check if somebody else was there. You wiped off your tears and started climbing over it. You have no will to live anymore so you just decided to take your own life.
Trembling a bit while standing at the other side of the bridge, you starred right down beneath you. The water looked so cold and dark. Feels like you’ll die right away once you jumped down.
Having just both of your two hands and the little space your stepping on as the only things that keeping you alive, you started battling with your own mind. Being completely confused, tired and lifeless, you really wanted to jump off.
“What are you doing?” your eyes snapped open and looked over at your right.
You gulped, eyes grew a bit at the sight of somebody in front of you. He was starring right at your eyes and you saw how cold his eyes were again.
“What are you doing here?” you asked him back emphasizing the you at him. Jake pursed his shoulders and even leaned over at the railings of the bridge beside you.
He’s acting like as if you were not at the other side and life’s in danger.
“Taking a stroll.” he casually answered.
“At this time?” you asked doubting him.
He smiled a little after nodding his head at you, “How about you? What are you doing? Are you gonna jump off?” he asked and starred down over the river.
You gulped, “N-Nothing.” if anything, you don’t want to cause trouble to anybody else.
He chuckled lightly, “Doesn’t seem like nothing to me.” he tilted his head then eyed you back.
“You’re planning to kill yourself, aren’t ya?” he asked, his accent popping a bit. You gulped, guilty. You were silent because one, he knows. Two, he still look gorgeous even if it’s dark already. The only light you guys have was the one from the bright moon.
“I don’t have any will to live in this cruel world.” your voice were low. The wind blew right towards at both you but you saw how he starred right over at your eyes.
There was a moment of silence before he lets out a sigh, “This world sure is cruel.” he agreed.
For the first time, somebody agreed with you. A small smile appeared over at your lips as you felt your heart races a bit. You don’t know if he’s really agreeing with you or he’s just really kind. Because honestly, there's nothing you can think of a reason why he’ll think this world is cruel for him. It seems like he already have everything and that his life was perfect.
“But if you live in it in a different way, it’ll change.” he muttered meaningful and he starred right at you once again, eyes piercing.
Your brows furrowed in confusion. You don’t get what he just said but even before you can ask him, he pulled out something from behind. It was tumblr?
He handed it over at you with a sweet smile. “What is this?” you asked, one hand holding over at the railing as the other accepted what he handed over. The space that you’re stepping over was enough to keep you steady but you're still holding on over at the steel railing.
“Wine. Might as well have some of that before dying right?” he smirked right at you.
Wondering a bit because of what he just said you looked at him with full confusion, he chuckled opening the lid for you.
“If you drink that, I won’t say any word about what I saw today.” he said smiling at you.
Biting your lower lip, you decided to do what he just said. Taking a sip, you groaned a bit finding it a bit strange. Having your eyes shut, you didn’t notice how Jake’s eyes turned red out of excitement just by looking at you drinking what he just gave you.
“Do as you promised.” you said after putting the almost empty bottle over at the railing.
You wiped over the corner of your lips and saw the familiar red color of wine. After having a sip from that drink, you kind of became more brave to do what you just planned moments ago.
Jake stood just beside you from the other side of the bridge. He watch how sorrow took over your eyes, tears streaming over your eyes. He hates it. All of it. He hates how people were so cruel to you, how you punish yourself from it and how you still try to keep a smile even after being treated badly by this world.
His face turned serious as he watch you slowly let go from the railing, body falling right over the cold river. He starred over as your body collided at the surface of the water.
He was sure it would take your life. A loss from the human world and a gain to his. With a smirk, he put his hands inside his pocket as he heads down over the river.
He roamed his eyes that quickly turned red and went over the water to go look for your body. He found you pretty much faster than expected, your face was full of bruises and probably broken bones. He gently placed his fingers over at your wrist to check your pulse.
He pulled you out and carried you bridal style, slowly he lets your body over the grass beside the cold river. The silent night even made it more colder but it doesn’t matter because Jake wasn’t even a living person so the cold is nothing to him anymore.
Jake’s eyes turned red as his fangs slowly showed as he leaned closer. A smirk spread right into his face as he felt no heartbeat coming from you. This world had lost you but now he have you for him, all for him.
Jake buried his fangs over your neck and drink from your blood, making all over his veins get too excited.
He leaned away starring right over at your unconscious body. He smirked, wiping off some blood dripping out from his mouth, “You’re gonna be with me forever, y/n.”
Tumblr media
Your eyelids felt a little heavy as you open them slowly. An unfamiliar ceiling greeted you that made you furrowed your brows a little. You were confused where you were so you stood up.
You roamed your eyes around at the place. It looked elegant and cozy at the same time. Head aching a bit, your hand rested over at your temple as you try to remember the previous things that happened that can help you to know where you are.
Your eyes quickly snapped open when you remember yourself jumping off from the bridge. You starred right over your arms and you saw them completely fine, both of your legs were fine as well. There's no trace of signs that you’ve committed suicide.
It was so strange because you were so sure that you jumped off. Feeling completely confused, you ran your hands over at your hair and to your surprised, they grew a bit longer. Your eyes then notice how more pale you became.
“I see you’re awake now.” your head snapped over at the corner when you heard somebody talked.
“J-Jake?” you muttered his name.
He smiled sweetly at you. To your surprised it didn’t look so lifeless anymore. It looked livelier for some reason.
Oh right! Jake was there too! He watched you jumped off the bridge. Is he the one who saved you?
He slowly walked closer to you and sat down over at the edge of the bed. You looked at him, a lot of questions were already inside your mind.
“Let me see your eyes,” his voice sound so calm. You furrowed your brows as he leaned closer.
You felt this tingling inside your stomach as he smiled in satisfaction in front of you, “Beautiful.” he mumbled that made you flustered.
Did he just said beautiful?
“Do you feel hungry?” he asked like it's just normal for you to be here inside wherever this is.
“Did you save me?”
He starred at your eyes and he smiled. “You jumped, remember?”
You nodded your head because that’s clearly what you remembered. He nodded as well as he looked over your arms then back over at your face.
“Do you know anyone who lived right after trying to jump off from that bridge?”
You pursed your lips and shake your head no. In the cases you’ve known from your town, nobody ever lived after jumping off. So... why?
“Then... how?” you looked at him anticipating of any answers.
He smiled, hand stretched out over at you. He brushed away some hairs from your face and hung them over your ears. You were pretty sure you were flushed, but for some funny reason, you can’t feel any warmth from your body.
“You said you have no will to live anymore and that the world were so cruel.” he started, you nodded listening to him. He was right about that, even if its a bit blurry, you can still remember saying that to him.
“I told you if you lived it in a different way, it wouldn’t be so cruel. I just did you a favor.” he explained but you were still clueless about the things that were currently.
“I don’t understand.”
He smiled and stood up then walked towards the side table just beside the bed you were tucked in.
“Are you hungry?” he asked while holding something.
You didn’t talk, you actually don’t know. At the moment, you were confused and doesn’t feel anything.
But you felt the sudden hunger the moment he open the lid of the container he was holding. Letting out a small chuckle, Jake walk back to the bed.
“Ahh, I can’t get over with how beautiful you look, y/n. What to do? I think I found my obsession.” he muttered eyes fixed over at you.
You blushed hardly because of what he just said but quickly got distracted over the thing he was holding. The closer he gets, the hungrier you get.
When he hand it over to you, your brows furrowed at the sight of a red liquid inside.
“W-What is this?”
“I figured your body won’t take somebody else’s blood since it's still adjusting so i’ll be your blood bank for the mean time.”
You were stunned at your position when you heard about it. It is blood. Fresh blood of Jake. Why does it smelled so good? It make you drool in hunger.
“Am I...?”
You’ve heard about those things before. They were often became topics specially lately because of the sudden missing people over at your town.
Jake sat close to you, “Yeah, a vampire.”
Your hand lowered letting the cup rest over your thigh, you almost lose your mind. You don’t want to believe it but what else can explain the reason why you’re still here breathing when you jumped off a freaking bridge?
“B-But why? I told you I wanted to die.”
“Well, basically you’re already dead.”
You looked at him, frustrated. Okay, you are dead but that doesn’t even make sense! You're seem like you’re still alive. Breathing, but dead.
“You don’t understand, Jake. I wanted to die because I don’t want to be here. I have nobody else with me.”
His face turned serious and you’re not gonna lie, you somehow felt intimidated when that soft smile vanished from his face.
“Then what do you call me, baby? I’m here for you.” he said softly hand raised over to cup your face.
“Life’s been cruel to you and you were too good for that world.” his eyes turned red and you don’t know but they looked so pretty.
Two sharp fangs showed over from his lips as he smiled at you. Your mouth fell, right now, Jake looked really out of this world. You never know vampires can look this good. The books you used to read never told you they look this attractive.
“Now that I have you, I’ll make sure you won’t suffer anymore. Be with me,”
“Why me?”
Out of all the girls who were giving him attention, why you?
“Why not you?” he said starring right over at your eyes.
You were stunned, silent after he answered that to you.
He leaned closer to you, lips touching your cheeks lightly then over at your ears. It sent shivers over at your whole body but you loved it. Jake’s effect over at you, you enjoyed it.
“I’ll be here for you, y/n.” he whispered.
You gulped, lowering your head as you shut your eyes tightly.
“O-okay.” you answered.
Jake smirked, “That's my girl.”
Tumblr media
You’ve noticed some changes from your physical appearance and even at some aspects of your personality. You’re not that anxious anymore, confidence filled you up for some reasons. It isn’t a bad thing.
You trailed over the empty hallway of your school. Classes already started so you’re now heading over your classroom. You’ve learnt that you’ve skipped school for 3 days already.
Arriving at the entrance of the room, heads turned towards your direction. Looking directly over your teacher, you smiled right at her. She was furrowing her brows while trying to determine who you are.
“Is that... y/n?” you heard one of your classmates whispered.
“I’m sorry for being late, Ms. Choi.” and you even bowed at her.
She looked dumbfounded looking right at you. She doesn’t know how to exactly describe but something changed.
“U-Uh... Ms. Y/n--”
Your teacher can’t even finish what she was about to say when a hand wrapped over your shoulder.
“Sorry for being late, Ms. Choi. We kind of had some problem on our way here.” Jake suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
You blushed but kept still. You were used to Jake’s affection. He’s such a loving person. He took care of you and you never felt that way ever since you’re Dad died.
“It’s o-okay, Mr. Sim. You two can sit now.” she said. The class were still silent as they were very shock at what’s happening right now.
Your eyes traveled over the students inside. They were looking at you in a different way, not in the way how they used to back when they’re still bullying you. Some of them looked at you with confusion, some with desire and some with fear.
You chuckled softly, starring at their pathetic faces. Specially your step sister, her eyes were a bit bigger than usuall.
“Y/n, right here baby.” Jake called you out. You nodded and turned your head towards him. As the teacher gets back to where she was interrupted, you sat down beside him.
Jake rested his hand over at the back rest of your chair. His hands started drawing small lazy circles over your other arm.
He leaned closer, “Did you see their faces?” he whispered at you dropping a kiss over at your shoulder before he leaned away.
You smirked nodding your head as you turned over at him. “They were so surprise.”
He chuckled, “Who wouldn’t be surprise? My girl looked so beautiful.” he said while facing the front. You blushed and you saw how his ears turned a bit red too. You chuckled and just tried focusing at the lesson.
As time pass by, you started to get more dizzy. “I’m dizzy.” you mumbled softly.
“You hungry?”
You looked over at him and slowly nodded your head. He chuckled finding you cute. He rummages over his things and pull out a tumblr. The same tumblr he handed you that night.
He brushed away some hair away from your face, “Take it easy with you in-take of blood.” he whispered after dropping a kiss over at your forehead.
You started drinking from the bottle and felt yourself getting much better. The class continued with you having your meal. Jake find you cute while you enjoy it so much.
When the classes were finally over, Jake and you headed outside the school hand in hand. Students followed both of you with stares full of curiosity.
“Uh, you should go on Jake. I’ll just go to the class president because of my things I left at her place.” you told him.
He nodded his head at you, “I’ll wait for you in the car.”
You smiled at her before nodding your head. When you saw him walked away, you started to walk back inside the campus to go and look for the class president. You did find her pretty fast. She was with your step sister and some from their circle of friends.
“Class president.” you called her out. They looked over you in unison and they looked surprised once again.
“oh y/n!” unlike before, she doesn’t look irritated by your presence. Your step sister was lowering her head as well, trying to avoid eye-contact.
“I’m just gonna inform you that I’ll be getting my stuff at your place later. Thank you for letting me stay.” I said smiling. Well even if she acted annoyed, I can’t deny that she was nice enough to keep me in.
“H-Huh? Why? You know what, I actually felt alone. You c-can stay if you want.”
You starred right at her eyes. Lies. It doesn’t look so sincere like how Jake’s eyes sparkles whenever he talks with you. He was so sincere with everything, warmth taking over you once he started comforting you.
You smiled a little, “Nah, it's fine. I already have a place to stay.”
“Where were you these past days? We w-were looking for y-you!” she said. Again, you can’t feel anything from her.
“I jumped off a bridge.” you straightly told her. She was dumbfounded as well as the other girls that were with her.
After seconds of silence, you chuckled. “I was kidding. Jake kept me in.”
They gulped and obvious envy were over their faces. You sighed and decided you should go on. As you turn around, you felt somebody held your arm.
“Y/n, Mom said you s-should go home.”
You slowly faced her then your eyes trailed over to her hand that was holding you. Her eyes weren’t blank and doesn’t look so rude like always. You were stunned and can’t talk for a while. You don’t know what to response to her.
Even before you can talk, a hand brushes away her hold off from you. A hand instantly held your waist and pulled you closer to his body.
“Her home now is with me.” Jake said and you felt that familiar comfort that you’ve never felt for so long.
Jake guided you away from and you went along without saying a word.
Tumblr media
Weeks passed by with Jake and you’ve been very happy with him. He introduced you to this amazing world he have. Days with Jake was never boring and full of surprises. He clearly made you happy.
You let out a loud breath while you felt his soft fingers caressing your arms while you’re both snuggling close to each other.
You’re both enjoying the silence between you while laying down to your bed.
“How did you turn me again, Jake?” you were curious.
“The wine I offered you that night have my blood in it.” he chuckled remembering what he just did back then.
“Why do you have a thing like that with you while strolling around?” you turn over and rested your hand over at his chest while you lay your head over it. You looked over to Jake and he have this smirk right over his face.
“I was following you around for days and I figured I should be prepared once I saw an opportunity to give you that drink.” he said.
“So you do wanted to turn me.”
“Yeah. You thought I was kidding when I said that?” he raised an eyebrow at you. With a chuckle you nodded your head.
“Jake, I’ve always noticed your eyes were cold before. Why?”
He kept his smile while starring right at you, he sighed then gently brush away some strands from your face.
“You know, not everyone is fond of living forever. I’ve never found somebody who’s willing to stay with me. I was born as a vampire and I felt so alone.” He sound so sad that you actually felt bad for him.
“When I saw you, I knew I wanted you. I told myself I’ll take it slow and won’t force you. But when I saw you struggle in this life and really planned to take your life, I became selfish.” his eyes turned red as he starred lovingly at you.
You gulped cupping his face. “What if I told you I don’t want this?”
You saw pain over his eyes as he held your hand that was holding his face. With soft kiss, he showered your hands with it. “I don’t know, baby. I don’t know if I can let you go.”
You pursed your lips, “I’m all alone in my life too, Jake.” you said and he opened his eyes to look at you.
With affection, your eyes turned red as you leaned closer to his face. “But now that you’re here, I have a home I can call mine. I have a person I can be with forever.” you mumbled and he leaned closer as well for a kiss.
“I love you,” you mumbled.
“I love you, y/n.”

Hollow Knight Telephone Round Two: Babysitter SL
Prompt: Shade (lord) is in the midst of final exams and they’re more stressed and tired than usual while babysitting. They accidentally fall asleep in the middle of a calm spell and the god babies become worried. The next time Shade comes over, all of the god babies present a gift they all made together!
By @minnesotamidian-blog
Shade barely noticed their surroundings as they entered the nursery playroom. Plastic clattered and they sighed as Radiance yelled at the top of her lungs. At least she wasn't screaming. Yet. The scene was set: Unn was still in a crib and chewing on a bar, Root was climbing slowly onto a chair. Radiance was knocking over plastic blocks as Grimm cackled away. For once, Wyrm was playing peacefully with a kick toy, batting at it with his tail. Root got onto the chair and squealed, raising her arms. "Big Root now!" The little blue-eyed godling squeaked out.
Shade picked her up, hugged her to their chest before holding her out. "Now you're a flying Root."
She screamed laughter as Shade tiredly walked her around the room before setting her down near some of her favorite toys. They made sure nobody else had claimed the chair and took a seat, bending over to pick up the fussy moth. "Ancient enemy!" Of course she bit their hand.
Shade winced and just ran a hand over her fluff. "Are you hungry for something that isn't void?" They spoke tiredly.
"Oranges!" She yelled out.
The teen sighed as he went to the mini-fridge with snacks and found some miracle of miracles! pre-peeled oranges. Shade pulled them out and put her in a high chair with one at a time so she wouldn't be tempted to throw the extras at them.
Finals were here and they were really taking it out of the gangly god. Why did they have to know stuff about inorganic chemistry? Why did they have to know about history nobody cared about? There were some fun subjects, but the finals seemed to even suck the fun out of those classes, going over notes and studying everything just in case. They'd been pulling long nights and the night before had been an all-night cram session-and they still had to come to work, they couldn't afford not to. They'd underlined all the stuff the teacher had said was important to remember and had written down stuff from the last finals about each teacher's usual tests.
It made narrowing down what to study from impossible to I'm totally toast. They groaned as they set down a calmer Radiance the opposite side of the room from Wyrm. She found toys that interested her, at least. Root wandered over to Wyrm, who was really into knocking at the kick toy and purring. Root settled nearby and burbled as she hugged and gnawed a plushie.
The teen couldn't help it. The kids were calm for once; their head started to tilt forward, eyes heavy. They were exhausted. Shade's eyes closed and their breathing deepened. At first, their toys were too interesting to notice their babysitter's state; but it didn't take long for Grimm to get bored enough to fly over and notice. "...Shade? Shade's eyes are closed." They landed and the four children not in a crib headed for the batlike godling.
"Is Shade dead?" Wyrm sounded worried.
"Don't be stupid, they're having a nap!" Radiance huffed.
Root looked up and swayed before patting Shade's leg. "Grown-ups don't have nap times." She was tearing up.
"Nuh-uh, they're having bad dreams and it's tasty!" Grimm clamored onto their lap.
The others joined, Radiance grabbing Unn to join them on the sleeping teen. Grimm rested between Shade's horns, Unn was on one shoulder, Radiance on the other, with Root and Wyrm curled up together on Shade's lap, Wyrm purring for once.
When Shade woke up, they were surprised by the weight on their body and forced themself to look down and around before moving. "Uh oh, I fell asleep… sheesh, I'm glad this place isn't a fiery disaster." They picked the godlings up. "You're not dead!" Wyrm exclaimed.
Root burst into tears and even Grimm joined in on the crying spat. Shade sighed and spent the rest of the time comforting them until meal time and settled them down. Time to go home for them all!
But the worry didn't leave the heads of the little godlings. "We should make something for Shade. If they're having nightmares, they might be sad." Radiance sighed. "But that doesn't mean I feel bad for my ancient enemy!" "What do we make?" Root twirled around, slowly turning in place until she fell onto pillows in her dizziness.
"Something of clay! I can burn it dry!" Grimm hopped around.
"But there's no clay." Unn spoke slowly, thoughtfully. "But there's crayons and paper."
"Oooh. We can make a pretty picture for Shade!" Wyrm waved his head happily. The group went for papers and each started to draw on the paper. "You're taking up too much paper!" Wyrm whined.
Radiance complained in turn, pointing at the color he was using. "I want that color!"
Wyrm growled and argued back. "I had it first!"
They started rolling around over their drawings, biting and clawing. Grimm gave a solid scream that startled the two. "You ruined Shade's pretty pictures!" He yelled.
The two looked at each other and hung their heads. "...sorry." Radiance muttered.
"-'m sorry." Wyrm looked away from the moth, skulking. "Start again? You can have the crayon, Radiance…"
Radiance took the crayon and they all picked up the last piece of paper. "I think this is better." Root spoke cheerfully.
It was three days later, once Shade had a solid night's sleep and finals completed that they'd returned to work. A large construction sheet of paper in grey covered in scribbles and rough names and messages was waiting for them.
Feel better soon Shade

"No."
The kids protested louder. Shade lifted the TV remote higher up, now above their head.
"Screentime's over, I said no."
Wyrm attempted to crawl up their leg in what was a rather pathetic attempt at stealing the remote, but was promptly shaken off. Grimm tried next, flying overhead to snatch the controller. Shade ducked and grabbed him by the tail before he could send himself flying straight towards the ceiling fan for the third time that day.
"Find something else to do," Shade said as they stuffed the remote deep into their pocket, much to everyone else's dismay. "Look, as much as I'd love to shut you guys up for the whole day, you've all been staring at the TV for hours now and I don't want to get in trouble with your parents."
Louder complaints.
"No, no, no. I am not cracking this time." Shade announced as they pulled Radi, who was hissing like an angry cat, off their jeans and pulled their phone out. "You guys got me last week, never again. No more TV for you, we're doing something else before I lose my money for tonight. Google almighty, what is your suggestion."
activities to do with children
fun activities to do with children
activities to do with toddlers
what can I do with kids that isn't a major headache to deal with goddamnit
Go to the park? Shade took about half a second to consider the thought before wondering why they even thought it was possible anyways. Five kids from the deepest depths of hell, outdoors? No. No park.
Finger painting? A pain to clean up, but better than outdoors. Then they looked up from their phone and considered the idea with greater thought. Grimm's wings, Radi's legs, Unn and Wyrm's… er…. Body?.... Nevermind.
Play pretend? …. If they hear the name Hallownest one more time they might just go insane.
Hide and seek? No. No no no no no. No more hide and seek. Shade was utterly sick of hide and seek. If they had to spend another second stuffed inside the closet or trying to get Radi off the roof they'll probably quit the job right there and then.
Baking?
… That might work. Sure, cleaning up is gonna be absolute hell but it's the only thing Google suggested that they haven't tried yet without horrible results.
Shade stuffed their phone back into their pocket and made a getaway to the kitchen, everyone else following, probably still trying to get the remote back. Butter, eggs, flour, sugar, oh, even some chocolate chips…
"Well then," They declared, pulling every ingredient out of the cabinet and fridge. "We're making cookies! And no, no one is allowed to touch the oven when it's hot. If you guys behave we'll have cookies in like, an hour or something like that."
The kids watched in confusion as Shade ran around the kitchen, pulling out bowls and spoons and a bunch of other utensils while typing furiously on their phone.
Cookies recipe
Cookies recipe easy
Cookies recipe for beginners
Cookies recipe for kids
"What do you guys think about chocolate chip cookies?"
Multiple chitters of approval. "Chocolate chip cookies it is then."
Step one: sieve the flour. Oh wyrm, first step and it's already gonna go to shit.
"Okay, you guys can watch this but for the love of the holy wyrm, do not touch it." Shade measured the correct amount of flour before scooping Wrym and Unn off the floor onto the table so they could see while Radi pulled herself onto the chair. The Lady had already clinged herself onto their sweater and Grimm was doing just fine flying nearby.
“You guys get one chocolate chip each if you guys behave and don’t get flour everywhere.” Shade added. “Now, Lady, hold still and don’t move, I gotta keep my hands steady for this…”
************
"Okay, chocolate chip time." Shade popped open the jar of chocolate as the kids cheered. "Actually, we’re not supposed to be eating this plain, cause it's going into the cookies. But no one actually does that so you guys get five chips each for not setting the kitchen on fire so far."
"The recipe says a cup of chocolate chips but we all know that's a lie." They added while shoving their phone back in their pocket and grabbing a handful of chips before mixing the batter together. "I'm probably not someone you should take life lessons from, but here's one thing I can guarantee you should take to heart: never follow the recipe when it comes to chocolate chips, you count that with your soul."
Final step: oven time. The oven was preheated earlier, and the only thing left was to get the cookies into the tray and into the oven. "Now, who wants to make heart-shaped cookies?"
****************
Three deformed stars, five mutated trees, two malformed cats, several irregular hearts, a couple handfuls of chocolate eaten straight from the jar, and one (1) perfectly round cookie later, the cookies were on the tray, in the oven, and in a surprising turn of events, no one burned themselves… yet. Shade grabbed everyone and made sure no one was in a five-meter radius within the oven before picking up all the dirty bowls and utensils. “Cookies will have to sit in there for about 15 minutes, we’ll be cleaning up in the meantime.”
“Don’t look at me like that, and no whining, if you want cookies you gotta deal with the mess afterwards. That's the payoff, unless you're a wizard who has a passion for baking. Then that's fair, I guess." They dumped all the used utensils they could find and turned on the sink. The sief, three bowls, tablespoons and teaspoons.. Oh wait.
"Radi, the big wooden spoon, please?" Shade called, sponge in their hand and bowls being thoroughly rinsed.
Radi, of course, was not willing to help, because she's basically a feral house cat that just so happened to grow more legs than the average feline. Shade sighed and moved on to finding the next helper they could find.
"Grimm, I know you're touching the oven, stop it. I'm pretty sure you're immune to fire but not everyone else and you're setting a bad example for them. Get me the spoon please."
“Lady, here’s a cloth, help me dry the bowls up. Wyrm, … i have no idea how you can help, no limbs and all but uh, could you go get Unn? I have no idea where she went. Thanks.” The last sentence was to Grimm, who flew over with the mixing spoon and dropped it into the sink while Wyrm scurried away to find Unn, wherever she’s napping at.
"Radi? Radi, I know you're right behind me, stop pretending that you can't hear me. Lady has an extra cloth with her, you're on table wiping duty."
*********
“See? That wasn't so bad,” Shade sent the last of the bowls back into the cupboards and closed it shut. “And the cookies are pretty much done.”
“Also, no. You may not eat the cookies the moment I pull them out of the oven. These rules also apply to Grimm because it's unfair to everyone else.. Don’t look at me like that Grimm, I know you’ll eat them all before they cool and leave us nothing.”
The cookies smelt delicious, and were left on the dining table to cool. “Now that it's cooling down, it's naptime.”
A chorus of groans and wailing.
“It’ll be ready when you guys get up. Up up up, sleep time.”
**********
If you’ve been anywhere near toddlers before, you’d know that getting them to nap in their bedrooms is a near-impossible situation. And Shade was not a person who deals with near-impossible situations well. So following the months old custom, Shade turned on the tv, remote miraculously not pickpocketed, collapsed onto the couch, and waited for everyone piling on them to fall asleep before moving them into their bedroom and pretending they managed to wrangle them all into bed.
And it all goes to plan, the Lady and Wyrm were sound asleep on their lap, Radi and Unn were dozing off on their shoulders, and they're pretty sure the snoring from the top of their head was coming from Grmm. Now, step 2: get everyone off them and onto the beds.
… Or maybe later. It's been a long day, and the couch is pretty comfy. Yeah, just five more minutes, nothing wrong with that…
And if the parents came home to see a cleaner-than-expected kitchen, a tray of chocolate chip cookies, and five kids snoring on top of their babysitter, also sound asleep, then that’s nobody’s business.
And if the originally completely full jar of chocolate chips was pretty much empty, then that’s no one’s business as well.

Shade lord wanted to take a nap. They are sooo tired, but they are babysitting 5 baby gods for 5$/H. Grimm is a brat, Radiance his sister is also a brat. Unn was ether eating or seeping, same with grub1. Lady was, well sweet and cuddly. they needed to find a distraction for the kids, what would work?
Would tv work, would cartoons work? They had dinner already. Tv had to work or grub and radiance would destroy the house. They needed to take a nap. Now what to watch was a different question, they would have to ask the kids. “so, what do guys want to watch? “Movie!” well they were all in agreement, what was good. “What kind of movie do you guys want to watch?” “Fire!” “dath” “animal” “tree” “ok. No, we are NOT watching fire.” “awww” “i do not know what dath means so no. So nature show it is then.” they go over to the tv and turn it on, then select the world around us. Lady was quick to fall asleep, on their lap. Shade lord slowly fell asleep, and grub nested between grub and shade lord. Grimm climed up to shade lord's head.

A gentle darkness surrounded the shade lord. He finally felt at ease. "finally", he thought, "rest." it didn't take long after that before the darkness started to take shape and a whole new world created out of shadows sheathed him.
But the happiness of the shadows didn't last long. A new and a new sound drowned out their world and all the animals and plants took to hiding back in his head. The shade lord felt the distressed creations stir inside his mind and woke up to the sound of his phone ringing. He rubbed his lowest eyes and accepted the call
"Hello, with shade lord. How can i help you?" "Oh sorry dear, i know it's terribly late but we got an unexpected call and need to leave. Since you've babysat Unn multiple times we assumed she would like to stay with you. Is it okay for you? Can we bring her to your place?" The shade lord thought for a moment and decided he could use the money. "Yea it's fine, she's always such a pleasure to babysit." The voice on the other side sounded relieved. "Thank you. You're a life saver. We will make sure you're compensated accordingly."
Feeling a bit more awake after the phone call he started to prepare for having baby Unn over. After a while her parents arrived and after some greetings he was home alone with the baby. He walked with her in his arms towards the living room and placed her gently inside the crib. She opened her eyes for a moment after losing the feeling of someone holding her, but then closed them again and fell back asleep.
The shade lord decided he couldn't sleep anymore and made some popcorn and decided to put on a movie. It didn't even take 20 minutes before he got called again.
"Hello, with shade lord. How can i help you?" "Oh yes finally someone who answers. Sorry but you're our last hope. We were going somewhere tonight but our babysitter called off. Do you think you could babysit our lovely Radiance? She's very good behaved and won't cause you trouble." "yea, no problem. You'll just need to bring her to my place if it's no trouble"
Not even 5 minutes later the parents showed up and dropped of their larva. Shade lord looked at it a bit confused but didn't get the time to say anything because the parents left as soon as they handed her over. He closed his front door and gave the larva a good look. She was white and had a fluffy appearance. She had 5 pairs of legs and yellow-orange eyes. She started to writhe a little bit and shade lord made sure to hurry to the living room. He took a pillow and placed it on the couch and softly laid her on it. She seemed at ease and rested on the pillow all stretched out
Shade lord continued his movie, which was finally starting to get interesting, but as usual the commercial break hit. He was in the kitchen making more popcorn when he got another call.
"Hello, with shade lord. How can i help you?" "Hello, is this the babysitter?" "Yes, that's the one you're speaking with." "Great, a family member had an accident and i need to be there for them so do you think you could babysit for me?" "Yep, totally." "Thank you, can we bring him to you?" "Oh yea, no problem."
A few minutes later his doorbell rang and he hurried towards it. The father carried his toddler in what could only be described as wing-esque appendages. The shade lord extended his arms for the man to put his toddler in and felt a gentle brush of the leathery membrane. He shivered lightly before feeling a sudden warmth light up in his face, like someone has started a fire. When he looked back up the man was gone and he closed the door. The creature he was holding in his arms was unlike anything he had ever seen. 2 horns sprouted from its black head. The face was as bleak as white linen on a summer day. It seems she likes make-up because she had already 2 black lines running from her cheeks towards her eyes, eventually fading into the darkness of her head. She had the same membranes as her father and no limbs besides it.
He wasn’t even in the living room before he heard his front door being was under siege. He put the weird creature down and opened the front door. Immediately he was assaulted by Hollow, a very energetic child. He was wearing a green cloak today and it finally seemed he was starting to grow bigger than a hand. His horns has also branched into the inside. Immediately after Hollow jumped on his he could hear Pale complain about his unprofessional work attitude. Although he was bigger than most it seems he wouldn’t grow much anymore. His tiny stature didn’t discourage him from being bossy. Finally White entered. By far the biggest of the bunch, she was also the most introverted. Her roots slid elegantly over towards him and even managed to stop Pale from talking for a moment.
He took them inside the living room only to find that somehow the larva and the winged creature had somehow gotten into a fight and now both were in hiding in opposite sides of the room. Normally he wouldn’t make such a big deal out of this if somehow his couch wasn’t full of tiny needles and a chair was on fire. He rushed to the tap to fill a bowl of water to extinguish the little fire. With the attention being diverted Hollow managed to slip from the watch of Pale and could now be found in the corner Radiance was hiding. The larva figured out quickly he liked to play games and had soon enough set up a plan to make him betray Pale.
In the meantime White had climbed the couch and started pulling out the needles while Shade lord had figured out what the membrane between the appendages from the weird creature were for. Namely, for flight. And now she was attacking his horns and he couldn’t reach her. As if her flying was not good enough alone, whenever he raised his arms she would back off and launch a little fireball  All this commotion woke up baby Unn who slowly started to slither away from her crib to find food.
The shade lord finally had enough of the little fire hazard and rushed towards the pantry to get a kettle. Once he had found it he peeked around the corner only to find that fire hazard eating his popcorn! All caution was thrown aside and he grabbed her by the guts and put her inside the kettle. She tried to heat it but he added some water to it. While it evaporated quickly it was apparently enough to bring over the message. Now he could focus his attention back on the larva again, only she could’ve produced those needles, which White was making great progress with removing them as a quick glance told him.
Now back to Pale and Radiance who were apparently having a fight (Darkness, that larva really has a talent to provoke others). They were arguing near the coffee table, because apparently they wanted a fight so bad they just ran to each other and met in the middle. Hollow was climbing one of the legs of the table, but wasn’t noticed by the shade lord because he was too occupied with the other 2. He tried to separate the arguing pair but they were at each other’s throats. They even had summoned a needle and a tiny dagger to fight each other. The shade lord obviously didn’t count on this tiny factor and had soon enough one in each hand. He screamed, trying not to curse, barely not failing miserably, and Pale managed to escape. In any other situation this wouldn’t pose a problem, but Hollow, after eating some popcorn, found himself at the right edge of the coffee table and pulled out his tiny wooden sword he got from Pale. The larva, Darkness curse her, used this to her advantage and made the sign to Hollow to betray Pale. The act of betraying Pale involved jumping off of the coffee table and hitting Pale as hard on the head as possible. Naturally, all of this went according to plan and even brought some extra spectacle. After Hollow had hit Pale on the head he wasn’t prepared for the recoil of the wood and ended up hitting himself in the face.
All of this lead to 3 crying children (1 of them from laughing, the others from pain) and 1 very angry young adult. He put the larva on the couch and took care of the others while White held a close eye on the damned 10 legged thing. After Pale and Hollow weren’t crying anymore he took the little fire hazard out of the kettle and continued his movie, which was getting to an end.
After the film ended a documentary started and had all the kids hooked. He went to check on Unn only to find an empty crib. He could however see a slimy trail lead up his wall and onto the ceiling. It went through the door into the pantry where he kept his food and toys for the toddlers. He looked up on the ceiling only to find a sleepy Unn with a letter block in her mouth. Suddenly Unn started to make a very weird noise and fell from the ceiling onto his face. He swiped her off of his face onto his shoulder and then washed it.
He returned back to the tv to watch the documentary that was still playing and plopped down on the couch. Not long after he was asleep with White on his left shoulder, Unn on his right shoulder, the little fire hazard on the same arm and Pale curled up in his lap. Radiance and hollow were still awake but occupied with the documentary instead of causing trouble. After the documentary ended they crawled up against his sides and fell asleep.

Exhaustion seeped into Shadelord’s body, limbs weighed down by a heaviness they hadn’t experienced in a while. The smatter of godlings that lay around them on the couch, or on them in Radi’s case, was enough to convince them that they had died and that this was the Eternal Void that was created to punish them for cheating on that test in the 8th grade. In their defence, it had been on rock sedimentation.
Wyrm continued his grumbling from the corner of the couch, still infuriated by the attack on his person only moments before. Root, the aggressor, looked remarkably pleased with herself. Shade knew they should probably punish her further in some way but... well, to be perfectly honest, they simply were not paid enough to do so.
They really should have charged more. Fifteen dollars at least per tiny demon they had to look after rather than the whole bunch. Fifteen dollars was not enough to encourage discipline. It was enough for them to make sure none of the godlings killed the other. And they had thought they had come up with an ingenious plan to secure some peace and quiet.
After much wrangling, they had finally managed to set up two separate playpens, each far enough away that the godlings wouldn’t start screaming if one of them saw their rival. Wyrm and Root in one pen, Grimm, Radi and Unn in another. It was a gamble, but one that thankfully seemed to have paid off. Radi was still exhausted from the tussle she had just had with Wyrm, and Grimm seemed content to chew off the heads of the plastic Garbies they had found. Unn continued to watch, and occasionally helped Grimm execute a Garbie in a spectacular manner. It was both reassuring, and beyond disturbing. Root and Wyrm meanwhile were cheerfully ignoring each other as they both played with their own toys.
It should have been foolproof.
Unfortunately for Shade however, they were dealing with infants instead of fools.
For some damned reason, Root had decided that now was the perfect time to act up, instead of being the sweet little darling she had been so far. Her target, much to their dismay, had been Wyrm. In all fairness, the godling had probably deserved it in some way; most likely he had tried to worm too close in order to steal some of the grubpaste and mushroom sticks Shade had left out as a snack. Root had seen this theft as a cardinal sin, and had subsequently decided that Wyrm deserved nothing less than absolute annihilation.
The momentary doze Shade had managed to fall into was abruptly interrupted by loud shrieking and wailing, resulting in them vaulting over the couch to hurriedly find out which one of the godlings was being tortured.
The scene that greeted them was... well, it wasn’t any less ridiculous than some of the other stuff the little goblins had pulled before.
Using her flexible tendrils, Root had seen fit to wrap them around Wyrm, and aggressively dunk him into the bowl of grubpaste he had attempted to steal from. His shrieks and hisses had woken up Radi and drawn the attention of the other children, who were now cheering on Root’s attack on Wyrm’s person.
“Enough,” Shade declared, shooting a glare behind them, “Root, let him go.” Root looked up innocently.
No, she seemed to say with her eyes, justice must prevail.
“Justice won’t get me my fifteen dollars,” they hissed out in return, and they could have sworn that Root shrugged, turning away from them to dunk Wyrm into the bowl yet again.
“No!” they cried out, quickly whipping down to grab the poor child before he could be further humiliated. After finally being saved from his vicious tormentor, Wyrm decided it was time to go into hysterics, lashing out with a sharp tail to fully show his displeasure. Root simply watched impassively as the rest of the children cheered.
Shade wondered if fifteen dollars was even worth it at this point.
“Alright, alright, enough! Root, you go in time out. We do not waterboard our fellow godlings in grubpaste. Wyrm, calm down, it’s just grubpaste- Settle down!” they yelped out, flinching as something heavy settled onto their head. The soft fluff revealed that Radi had decided to fly out of her pen and taunt Wyrm in person. Shade wanted to sob with frustration.
The door cracked open, and Ghost peered in, head tilted curiously.
Need help? they signed, and Shade wanted to collapse in relief.
“Please,” they begged, and their sibling nodded grimly, even as amusement danced in their eyes. Shucking off their school backpack, they quickly headed over to the other pen and signed to them, bobbing their head up and down in a soothing motion. Grimm and Unn were entranced. Radi less so. She remained seated on their head, but at least seemed to have finally stopped provoking Wyrm.
“I’m just going to clean him up,” Shade explained uselessly, watching as Ghost simply nodded and waved them off.
With a tired gait, Shade wandered into the kitchen and turned on the tap, listening as Wyrm’s panicked yelps grew louder at the realisation of what was going to happen next. Radi snickered softly, before leaping off and gliding back into the living room.
Bath time, according to the godlings, was a fate worse than death, and something to be avoided at all cost.
Unfortunately for both Wyrm and Shade, it was a necessary evil. Wyrm disagreed. Loudly. And with claws.
He howled furiously as Shade slowly lowered him into the warm water, softly scrubbing at the now-dried grubpaste sticking to his skin. Despite his attempts, Wyrm failed to prevent them from continuing his bath. He turned to pathetic pleading instead, making soft mewling sounds as though he was nothing more than a poor innocent child who had done nothing wrong, ever.
Shade, who remembered the little bastard knocking a glass ornament onto their head, was not convinced. Ultimately there was no escape, and Wyrm reluctantly gave in to the soft scrubbing, though he made sure his rumbling complaints were known.
“Yes, yes,” Shade said quietly, “I truly am the worst. Close your eyes so I can rinse you.”
Wyrm, in a dumb act of defiance, did not close his eyes. The hysterics started again, and Shade contemplated drowning themself in the half-filled sink. Fifteen dollars, they repeated. Fifteen dollars.
Grabbing a tea towel, they quickly dried the godling off, carefully teasing out water droplets from soft scales. He child gnawed on their fingers in revenge. “I’m done,” they announced, wandering back into the living room with a now clean, and furious, Wyrm.
Ghost looked up from their position on the floor, back leaning against the couch as they played with Grimm. Radi immediately perked up at the sound of Shade’s voice, and quickly flew over, making herself at home on top of their head. Unn seemed to have decided to undertake the momentous task of scaling up the back of the couch, leaving a thick trail of slime behind. Root, still stuck in her pen as punishment, let out a wail, demanding to be let out.
Shade was all out of energy to fight back or deal with a tantrum.
“Alright, alright, out you go,” they muttered, depositing Wyrm on the couch before reaching down to lift out the petulant child from her terrible prison. She clung to them desperately until they finally collapsed on the sofa. She quickly wriggled out of their hold and instead plonked down beside them. Wyrm had hissed at the sight of her, and slunk to the other side of the couch to sulk.
Grimm let out a raspy cackle at the sight, before diving down to nip at Ghost’s fingers.
Unn finally made her way to the top of the couch and waved her eyestalks victoriously. All Shade could do was give her a tired pat.
They sank into the couch, the exhaustion creeping back in. It should have been foolproof.
Fifteen dollars.

Dead end
Tanjirou has come to the conclusion that running away towards the big city was a mistake. He's never seen so many people before; it's overwhelming. Nezuko is grabbing his hand hard, almost painfully, although Tanjirou has learned to endure pain in the two years that he stayed with Urokodaki.
Nezuko pulls, managing to draw his attention away from the bakery and back to her. Almost desperately, she makes a few gestures with her hands, pointing in the direction of the mountain.
He sighs, feeling sad inside; he'd like to hear her voice again, but she has refused to speak a word since their family was killed. He's never pressed her though.
"You know we can't go back," Tanjirou mumbles, feeling bad for causing her sorrow. "I miss him too, but you know they're looking for us so he'll probably be safer alone."
Sighing, Nezuko nods, hugs his brother and keeps walking next to him, trying not to collide with the people around and holding his hand.
She's not the only one wishing they could go back, he's constantly thinking about it. Once he thought they could be happy there, in that small village with Urokodaki, but for some reason the people that killed their family also wanted to kill them both.
Tanjirou doesn't understand; Urokodaki said the man behind it was the leader of a crime syndicate and that his name was Muzan. There were two crime groups in Japan; the one led by Kibutsuji and the other by nine people who were called the hashira.
"The Pillars are skilled swordsmen; you'll never find people more capable than them in combat," Urokodaki explained one night. "But they're also dangerous in their own ways."
Urokodaki taught him how to fight with a katana during those two years; he insisted it was necessary in case Kibutsuji came back for him (and he was right).
However, since the katana was Urokodaki's Tanjirou left it behind, instead he brought an axe and hoped for the best.
Nezuko stops; she's blinking, trying to stay awake. They're both tired and hungry and even though Tanjirou would love to get something to eat, he needs to find a place where they both can spend the night first.
Tomorrow he needs to get a job.
His money is not enough to pay for a night in the first place they find. Tanjirou offers himself for any kind of job, but the owner claims he doesn't need more employees at the moment.
"I know a place where you can get money though," he grins, looking over his shoulder. "If you're willing to let your girl work."
Confused, he looks up at the man, who steps into the light to look closely at him.
"I also know a place for pretty boys like you," he adds, taking Tanjirou's chin. "Someone like you can get more than a few coins for spending a night with–"
Moving away from the man, as Tanjirou starts to blush, he runs away from there as quickly as possible.
"I think this was a mistake," he tells Nezuko.
He definitely doesn't like the city.
The second place they arrive to is even worse, not because of how it looks, but due to what they find out when they get there.
"I'm not sure," the woman mumbles, eyeing at them both. "I haven't seen you around here before. The hashira have strict rules when it comes to people from outside the city."
"The hashira?" Tanjirou shivers, feeling suddenly exposed; he looks around, nervous.
"This city belongs to them."
They need to go back immediately. Grabbing Nezuko's hand, he begins to run in the opposite direction, however in his desperation he ends up in a dark alley with a dead end.
"Alright. We just need to turn around," he mumbles, feeling nervous.
"The boy with the hanafuda earrings!" A voice says, amusement ringing in it. "Finally! My Lord Kibutsuji will be happy when I bring your head to him!"
There's a boy with her as well. He's carrying a couple of daggers while she's bouncing two temari in her hands.
"They're coming after me," he mumbles, almost in relief. "Listen, Nezuko, I want you to hide and wait for the perfect opportunity to run away. I'll try to distract them."
Nezuko narrows her eyes, she's fuming, angry at the thought of leaving him behind. She gestures something about never leaving him.
Even though he appreciates it, Tanjirou would've preferred her to choose running away.
However, there's no time to argue. He turns around with the axe in his hand, but a temari passes right over his shoulder. At first Tanjirou believes the girl missed, but when he hears Nezuko's scream and sees her fall to the ground he almost runs towards her.
He can't, there's no time. He charges at the girl quickly, dodging a temari as he runs, only to realize that the boy plans to stab Nezuko even though she's unconscious on the ground.
Without thinking twice, he throws the axe and cuts the boy's arm off; Tanjirou doesn't really like hurting others, but if Nezuko's life is in danger, he knows he'll do anything to keep her safe.
Even though the boy is bleeding because of the wound, he still tries to attack Tanjirou again.
The girl cackles in such a way before running towards his fallen sister at the same time the other tries to reach him, Tanjirou knows he will only have the time to block her attack.
But then, from the roof of the house next to the alley a shadow jumps in front of the Kamado siblings. The young man doesn't say a word as he moves his katana with such ability that it makes impossible for Tanjirou to follow the attack. In the blink of an eye he cuts their heads without even uttering a word.
They both fall to the ground, making Tanjirou gasp and think how glad he is that Nezuko is unconscious at the moment. Quickly, he gets closer and doesn't think too much before taking her in his arms. He wonders if he could run past the swordsman and back into the noisy streets.
However, the young man turns around and looks back at him. Tanjirou curls over Nezuko, trying to protect her with his own body.
"I'm not gonna hurt you or your sister, Tanjirou," he says, surprising him. The young man has black, long hair and blue eyes that don't let any emotion to be reflected in them. Well, perhaps... irritation. They're shadowed with it at the moment. "You should've stayed with Urokodaki."
"How do you know that? How do you know my name?" Tanjirou asks, flinching away when he sees the man with the mismatched haori moving his katana quickly to clean it up. When it's back into its saya, he allows himself to relax... just a little.
"I'm Tomioka Giyuu," he introduces himself, moving even closer. "I'm the one who saved you that day."
No... That's not possible. Well, Tanjirou only remembers falling on the snow from exhaustion, looking for a place where someone could patch her sister up and then... nothing.
He woke up in Urokodaki's house the next day. He just assumed...
"Come with me."
Before he can say anything, two people arrive to the scene; Tanjirou imagines them screaming and calling the police, but instead of even glancing in the corpses' direction, they bow in front of Tomioka respectfully.
"Clean the area," he mumbles and both man and woman nod, before using bandages to cover the corpses completely.
Tomioka is... He must be...
"I'm afraid you and your girl got in trouble in the wrong city, sweet boy," a young woman with a haori that reminds him of butterfly wings chuckles. Tanjirou notices that she's also carrying a sword, although it looks like a small one. "You're in hashira territory now. And you brought Kibutsuji's assassins here. Now you must face all the Pillars."
"Please... I just need to get my sister to a doctor. I promise we'll go after that and you'll never see us again."
"It's too late now," she grins gently at him at the same time Tomioka walks in the middle of them. "Oh? You've broken a few rules already, Giyuu. Do you want to break more?"
"Shinobu, he's... I'm sure they won't cause us any more trouble if we let them–"
"He needs to be judged by all the hashira, Tomioka," another young swordsman appears out of nowhere, he has a white snake around his neck; his mouth is covered.
Tomioka nods, knowing they don't have a choice now, but he gets closer to Tanjirou as if trying to shield him from the other two.
"Come," he says, as kindly as possible.
"But Nezuko is bleeding..."
"Don't worry," Shinobu smiles, clapping her hands together. "I'll take care of that."
Two people arrive and pry Nezuko away from Tanjirou. He tries to fight them, but Tomioka puts a strong hand over his shoulder to stop him.
"She'll be fine," he assures him.
However, Tanjirou knows that he's completely trapped now; if they have Nezuko he won't have other choice but to do as they say.
***
The house they walk in is huge. Tanjirou ends up sitting on the floor in a room with dim light and a table in the middle. Tomioka and Shinobu get in the room right next to it.
They don't even tell him to stay; they must know he would never leave without his sister.
He's worried, however, he doesn't get scared until he catches a few sentences of the conversation.
"See? Giyuu is putting his life at risk for them."
"That doesn't mean anything, Tengen! They mean trouble if Kibutsuji is after them."
"We're not afraid of him, Sanemi."
"No, we're not, but we also don't interfere in other people's problems."
"Besides, why do we do with Tomioka? He hid them from us all this time."
"Obanai has a point!"
"I saw the girl! She's so pretty! Is her the one you're doing this for, Giyuu? That's so romantic!"
"It's the boy, Mitsuri," Shinobu is the only voice Tanjirou recognizes because Tomioka hasn't said anything yet. Still, nothing they've been saying makes any sense to him. The only thing he's sure about is that he's in trouble. "He's doing this for Tanjirou."
"Now I'm curious, Kocho."
"Let's see him then!"
The door slides open and Tanjirou doesn't have time to react when nine people walk inside. All of them are carrying katanas.
He looks down, but a huge hand grabs him by the chin to make him look up at them.
"Hey! Be careful!"
"Calm down, Giyuu. You know me, I'd never hurt such a pretty thing like this one," the one speaking has white hair tied up in a ponytail and what it looks like a headband with a couple of gemstones all over it. His eyes are deep pink. He's one of the tallest among them.
"Come on, stand up, my boy. Let us see you!" Another says, putting both arms over his shoulders, lifting him like he weighed nothing to help him stand. His voice is loud, although the thing that surprises him the most about him is his hair and eyes. They're like fire: yellow and red. It's really difficult for Tanjirou to look away from him. "I'm Rengoku Kyojuro!"
"Kamado Tanjirou," he mumbles, after a couple of them introduce themselves.
"I want to keep him," Tokito says after a while. Uzui looks back at him with amusement.
"He's my responsibility now."
"I'm sorry, Giyuu, but you know the rules here. You too, Muichiro," Rengoku grins, cupping Tanjirou's face in his hands. Even though he knows he's in front of one of the leaders of a crime syndicate, he feels safe for a couple of seconds. "If we keep him, he's going to be under everyone's protection."
"What about Nezuko? Is she going to be alright? Will you protect her as well?"
Rengoku nods, stroking Tanjirou's hair. Right next to him, Tomioka's shoulders tense.
"Of course, but you owe us now, Tanjirou."
That's all it takes to remind himself that he's in front of dangerous people.
"I understand, I'll do my best to–"
"I can pay off his debt," Tomioka offers, surprising Tanjirou again.
"You know we don't want money, Giyuu," Shinobu says, waving her hand dismissively.
"And we want nothing from you," Tokito adds, almost bored.
"What do you want?" Tanjirou asks, nervous, even though he notices that a few of them are looking down at him with a fond expression.
Without giving him any warning, Uzui takes him in his arms, prompting Tanjirou to wrap his arms and legs around him out of instinct.
"We want to welcome you to our family," the hashira grins, confusing him.
It's hard to see them as dangerous criminals when they act like that.
"I'll introduce you to my wives..."
"Wait! I want to see Nezuko."
"Of course, my boy!" Rengoku nods, taking him away from Uzui who pouts immediately. Tomioka looks irritated, but he follows them close anyway.
She's not awake yet, but she looks much better now. She has a bandage all around her forehead and new clothes. Two girls are right there taking care of her, as soon as they see the hashira though, they start bowing nervously.
Rengoku puts Tanjirou on the bed and the boy leans to take one if Nezuko's hand in his. Tomioka kneels next to him.
"You'll be safe here, Tanjirou. I'll protect you."
He nods, feeling better despite of knowing his mother would never have approved of something like that. But what other choice does he have? If being with the hashira means Nezuko can be safe, then he'll accept it.
"You selfish, stubborn bastard! Didn't you hear, Giyuu?" Shinazugawa huffs. "We will protect the siblings from now own. Tanjirou owes us now. He's ours."
"I thought you were against this arrangement, Sanemi," Uzui chuckles, prompting the other to growl at him.
"I'm a Pillar. If the majority has decided that he's worth the risk, then he is worth it."
Even though he doesn't like when they don't mention Nezuko, part of him is glad that they consider the debt is only Tanjirou's to pay.
That way she can be free as soon as Kibutsuji stops hunting them or dies.
"No one will hurt you again," Rengoku promises, leaning enough for their foreheads to touch. His eyes are intense. "They're too afraid of us to even try."
Tanjirou is not sure, but something tells him that Muzan is not going to give up that easy.

You promised to meet Chan almost an hour ago.
The adrenaline coursed through your body as you ran out of the bathroom after a shower, which was relatively dangerous but you didn’t care, sprinting back to your room to get into some decent clothing.
As you looked at yourself in the mirror, you almost punched it from the frustration. But you didn’t, of course, as if you didn’t have enough bad luck already.
Are you that stupid to have fallen asleep on the couch? You thought to yourself. You were much too thankful that you already washed your hair in the morning, so it looked good enough now.
As you dropped your towel, you swore that you’ve never grabbed such a mismatched set of underwear and bra before, but it didn’t matter. You’d opt yourself to become quicksilver if it was for Chan.
Your hands let themselves skim through until your phone lit up on top of your cupboard and showed three notifications from the man himself. You froze in your spot reading the following messages.
chan: okay :( if u insist [5:02 PM]
chan: but since u seem tired [5:03 PM]
chan: i’ll pick u up since i’m only 10 mins away [5:03 PM]
Your mind went back to when you had woken up to three missed calls from Chan, various texts asking if you were alright since you never missed a ‘hangout’. At least, that’s what you two always called your frequent meets.
Your first instinct was to call him back, your voice rather nasally from the blocked nose you always got after sleeping. His kind voice kept replaying in your head;
“Chan, I’m so so sorry-”
“Oh, did you just wake up?”
“I.. yes. Yes I did. I’m so sorry, I fell asleep because I ran a million errands up until 3pm.”
“Hey, no. It’s okay. It’s not your fault. Do you want to move our hangout to some other day? I think I’m quite free this week.”
“No, no. I need to see you, honestly. My stress has piled up and it’ll be great to see you. You always cheer me up.”
“I try my best, Y/N. I’ll wait for you as long as you’d like. Go get ready!”
“Will do, Mr. Bang. Thank you so so much!”
The last thing you heard after the call ended was his farewell that was mixed in with his infectious laugh, and that was when you ran towards the shower to get the thin layer of sweat that always came after a nap in the living room.
Your fingers quickly typed away a ‘did god send u down to me as my angel or smthn THANK U BANG CHAN’ before going back to rushing to pick out a nicer outfit.
Because of him willing to pick you up, you had an extra ten minutes to get ready but your mind was still blank from the adrenaline rush. You had picked yourself out a cream-coloured pleated skirt, but you had no idea what to pair it with until you saw a familiar black sweater pushed to the back of the drawer.
You weren’t too sure why it was familiar to you, but it was nice enough for you to use with the skirt. For a reason you couldn’t pinpoint, it hugged your body well enough, but the area where you could see the stitch of the shoulders were clearly too broad for you, falling around the middle of your upper arms.
Strange, you thought, I don’t remember buying this but it’s so comfortable.
And just like he said, Chan was there in ten minutes, voice heard through your apartment intercom, asking you to come downstairs. Although you tried to ignore it, you were excited just from hearing his voice through that old system speaker.
Taking the elevator down to the lobby, you smiled seeing the boy standing around, clearly waiting for you to come down, as he kept shifting his feet.
It was music to his ears as well when he heard you call out his name. Although he would never admit it, or so he thinks, he swore that he heard a hymn whenever ‘Chan’ spilled from your lips. But he shook that away when he reached in for a side hug.
“Hey you.” he said, “You look awfully fresh for someone who just woke up.”
“I work my magic.” you boasted, not wanting to admit the fuss you made for him. Since Chan was a bit taller than you, not by too much (which you teased him about, but he only let it be because it was you), you held onto him as well by slinging your arm around his waist.
And as you both walked to the parking lot at the front, stuck together like two pieces of paper with a hefty amount of glue in the middle, that was when Chan stopped right in front of his car.
You looked at him with concern, thinking that he’d probably left something inside, “Did you forget something?”
He paused, looking at you with the face he’d make whenever Felix did something strange. That wasn’t new, but you felt flustered when he let you go and stood in front of you, arms crossed, eyes checking out your whole body.
You looked at him strange, not understanding what he was doing. Your hand only clutched your bag strap harder, not understanding the situation. But before you could say anything, he cut you off.
“Is that my sweater?”
And the realization hit you.
A few months ago, Chan had gone to your place to spend some time with you after not getting to meet you for three weeks. But of course, the two of you did not look at the weather forecast when a rainstorm dawned over the whole of Seoul.
You insisted that Chan should not be driving in this weather in fear of a accident, but he did have to get his car to the indoor parking lot incase it began to hail. However, once he had gotten back, the umbrella you had given him was soaked and so was he, the two of you getting into a hysterical laughing fit at the state he was in.
In all seriousness, you did quickly get him out of the clothes he was wearing and washed them, shyly looking away when he directly began to take his shirt off in the living room until you yelled “Chan! I have a bathroom!”
However, as the night passed, after he slept in the same bed as you, finding his arm around your waist in the morning to which he quickly pulled away in surprise— he left with only his jeans and socks that had been dry cleaned.
“Oh shit, this is your sweater!” you swore, the event having replayed itself in your forgetful mind, “I’ll clean it after this and give it back to you.”
“Oh, no. You look better in it than I do.” he complimented.
In between your reminiscing, he had clicked the car key, making the vehicle make the familiar unlocking sound and flashing lights. Running over to your side, he opened the door for you.
“M’lady.” he offered,
“M’Chan.” you joked, only to laugh for a bit then go in with a murmured, “Sorry that was cheesy.”
“It was!” he admitted, yelling so you could hear him through the car glass since you closed the door already. He did his little jog over to the drivers seat and went it rather smoothly, not that you were impressed by that.
“So, arcade?” he asked, smiling when you nodded and tapped excitedly on his dashboard.
Once again, in ten minutes, the two of you had reached the destination, quickly running out as if the both of you were six, and not in your early 20s.
As you ran into building, fluorescent hitting your eyes with a familiar nostalgia coming alongside them, much too familiar from the high school days of you and Chan going to another arcade that was already closed down now.
“So, what do you want to do first?” you asked, as if you didn’t guess the answer already.
Chan looked forward, scanning the place more and finally seeing a row of big,  bulky, metal boxes that couldn’t be missed. He pointed at them, rather cutely to add, smiling down at you.
You gave him an excited grin back, happy that you guessed right in your head. You walked ahead, pleased to hear him tread behind you at a faster pace to catch up with you.
Drawing back the curtain, the two of you went inside and swiped the arcade card that you had because of several trips that were forced by your auntie with your little cousins. Luckily, there was still money inside.
The recognizable ‘twinkling’ sound of the photo booth rang in both your ears, opting you to choose the frame decor, etc.
And as the screen showed both your faces, a robotic voice was heard through the same speakers at the sides of the booth, stating ‘please move more towards the centre, thank you’
But if anyone were to look inside, you and Chan were already considerably close, especially since the bench space wasn’t wide at all. But you side-eyed the boy, scooting closer to him as he did the same to you.
You felt his arm squish against yours, feeling flustered at the sudden contact.
“Can..uh..” he trailed, “Can I put my arm around you? I.. I think it’ll make the pictures look less awkward, don’t you think?”
“Y-yeah!” you responded a bit too enthusiastically. Clearing your throat, you gave him the gentle smile that he could never hate, “Yeah. Go ahead, Chan.”
He did as he asked. Unlike the playful hug that you two had shared in your apartment lobby, this one felt more intimate, especially when you saw the screen reflecting the two of you.
You could feel his rings dig against his cotton sweater on your body, assuming now that it was yours, comfortable enough for you to feel secure— at home. Nevertheless, you always felt that Chan was your home.
Your eyes fixated on the screen as you moved forward to press the red button that would soon make you both take simultaneous pictures together.
We look good together, you thought to yourself, Wait what? Shut up.
But why did this feel different? You two had taken hundreds of photos together, varied with ridiculous, attractive, and unnecessary ones. But you swallowed that wondering lump in your throat, quickly dismissing it as you posed with Chan for each one, your vision rather blurry for a reason you couldn’t pinpoint.
And as the twelve clicks ended, Chan stood up first. You were quite upset about the absence of his embrace, but didn’t mind it when he smiled at you like he always did,
“Let’s see the pictures.” he held his hand out for you to take, which you graciously did, feeling the pit of your stomach drop as you, as per usual, questioned what your relationship with him was at this point.
The two pairs of feet, albeit the both of you were wearing matching shoes on accident, met their way towards the printing area. Looking at the screen which read 99% complete, Chan heard the sound of the photo paper hit the stopper that avoided the prints from falling on the ground.
He bent down and took it, showing it to you. Naturally, your arms went around his left bicep, hugging it to look closer. Chan sucked in his breath, knowing that if he was in a cartoon right now, his brown head of hair would be sticking up in all places as a silhouette of his heart pumped dramatically out of his chest.
It was ironic, as most of your friends would say; it was ironic how you two hugged often but got shy whenever your hands would simpy graze, it was ironic how you two were so affectionate yet were so resistant, and it was very ironic that your ‘hangouts’ weren’t dates at this point.
He watched as you pointed at his face from top to bottom, questioning,
“You’re not even facing the camera in most of these! Stop looking at me and look at the lens next time. Do you want to retake these?”
Your question wasn’t too hard, but you didn’t understand why Chan looked at you with such solemn eyes, his eyebrows knitted together as if he was frustrated. But the look was soon replaced with one that held adoration, but that only increased your confusion.
“I mean.. we don’t have to retake these, Chan. What do you want to do?”
“If you were my girlfriend, I’d probably never stop staring at you.”
He didn’t know why he said that. Not a bone in his body was willing to let that out but his mind decided to play a little game of “thinking out loud”. The impulsivity of the statement made the two of your freeze in front of the photo booth.
But there was something that the both of you knew, something that neither of you wanted to admit. You had been friends for too long, had been too close for too long, but what was different now?
Why, after more than ten years of being best friends, was now the best time for you two to be together?
But something resided within you, and in Chan as well. This was to atone for all the pain you two had experienced without one another. You and Chan always wondered why you’ve always loved, but never been in love truly. All this time, the person that was it from the start was right in front of your faces, but pent up denial never allowed it to happen.
Until now.
Somewhere, somehow, this was the universe’s way of telling you that today was that day. You woke up late, wore his sweater, and Chan had slipped up with his thoughts aloud. It made sense.
So, you took a small step forward.
It felt as if the gravity between your feet and floor was much heavier than before, especially watching Chan’s jaw clench out of nervousness, but you knew it was just you mustering up a ton of courage to finally ask,
“Who’s stopping you from asking?”

I guess the sane sibling (as in the one who isn't interested in their stepsibling not-platonically) is a rule to have a incest or pseudo-incest kink but it's just saddens my perverted sick fuck self 😭 I just wanted to yandere!step-bro Tamaki to be his creepy shy so I could (probably kill him in the process) worship his cock knowing the boy would jest get SO overwhelmed 🥴 I'm sorry but I want him to stuff his lil sis with his cum while he sobs 😭 when he sees it oozing out he would RIP
When I write a character to be yandere, it’s usually my intent to not glorify their behavior. If I were in the situation as reader, it would feel like a horror movie, bc yandere actions are so not cash money.
But I’m able to write like, non-yandere smut y’all. I’m still a dark content blog, and I’ll write kinks that are a bit.... well, dark, obvs lol you just gotta ask!
and since you did -
(What to expect - incest, NSFW, unsafe sex, blowjobs, consensual sex, toys)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Tamaki?”
Your brother came around the corner, backpack still slung on his shoulder. Socked feet padded towards you on the couch, the ravenette shrugging his backpack off and gently setting it on the floor by the couch, before joining you as you sat on the plush cushions.
“Hey, you okay?” You asked, setting your textbooks on the coffee table in front of you before leaning against your older brother, rubbing his arm a little bit.
Both of you were in college, taking classes, working on the weekends to pay for the tiny little apartment you shared.
Tamaki looked tired, eyes downcast, soft frown on his lips, shoulders slumped. he was a shy man, but he didn’t usually look so..... defeated when he normally returned home after class.
“Mm.” The man hummed, sinking against you, melting into your touch.
“You look tired ‘Maki.”
He hummed again, closing his eyes as he brought his feet up, curling them underneath him as he pressed against you. The soft sweater he was wearing brushed against your bare arms, a little bit of your exposed thigh.
You weren’t shy about what you wore around the house, but for your brother’s sanity, you tried to keep somewhat covered, foregoing sports bras and wearing tank tops instead, ditching booty shorts for slightly longer (but not by much) shorts that covered you more fully.
Wearing less clothing meant Tamaki was clumsier, fumbling with the remote, bumping against things while he walked, bright red flush coloring his cheeks and melting to his collarbones, all because his eyes were glued to you.
Plus, it meant the man struggled with constant erections. He tried to hide it, embarrassed at his body no matter how many times you’d told him you adored it.
Your brother was shy, too shy to come to you and initiate, to find relief where you so gladly offered it.
That just means you had to get real good at noticing when he needed to relax a little.
You pushed Tamaki upright, ignoring his cute whine as you slid off the couch to kneel in front of him, dancing your fingers along his jean-clad thighs.
“Tell me how your day went.”
Your hands gently pushed his thighs open, watching your brother’s lips part with a gasp as you handled him. His head fell back against the couch, dark hair falling away from his eyes.
He was so pretty.
“Uhm, it was nice.”
“Mmhm.” You unzipped his jeans, slowly peeling the fabric down, your brother lifting his hips to help you out, his hands clutching at his soft sweater.
Boxers came next, Tamaki gazing down at you with red cheeks as you slipped them off his legs.
“Well, I-I woke up on time this morning, and I made it to class before the professor.”
“Oh, that’s good.” Praise easily tumbled from your lips as you wrapped a loose hand around Tamaki’s pretty pink cock, squeezing the shaft gently.
“Bio and psych went well, I got my test scores for my language class, and-and I got a B+.” His breath hitched as you took your hands off his cock, bringing a palm up to your mouth so you could wet it with your tongue, get it nice and slick for when you touched him again.
“I-I ate lunch with Mirio... and then I had math...” HIs voice was getting quieter, mumbling.
Math was never his strong suit, and you know it was one of his most-hated classes. Luckily, it was just once a week, on Tuesdays.
“How’d that go?” Your hands were on his cock again, wet with your spit, twisting around his length slowly as you moved them up and down.
“Uh, it-it went alright. I-I just ha-hate math.” Tamaki whimpered, his hips bucking up a little as you squeezed his tip, watching precum bead before bubbling over.
“Mm, well, maybe you can tell me some of the concepts? I might be able to help you out with homework.”
Tamaki couldn’t even nod, nor thank you for your offer before you were slurping his cock into your mouth. The man cried out, soft voice rising in pitch as you swallowed around him.
You fluttered your eyelashes up at him, but that didn’t get his attention, so you resorted to a gentle tap to his thigh to remind him to keep talking.
“Oh, oh, uhm... There’s..... ah...s-statistics. We-we’re learning how to.... how to display, and de-scrIBE-oh!” He lurched upwards, fingers flying to your hair as you used your tongue to play with the opening at the top. You could feel his little sweater paws as Tamaki gently fisted your hair.
Another gentle tap to his thigh.
“There’s also-also.... ohhh, uhm-ah! There’s.... prob-probablity, and I don’t.... unhh, unh-don’t get it at-at all...” His sentence ended on a breathy whine as you began bobbing your head. His voice was so cute, so pretty just like the rest of him, smooth and sweet.
“Oh, (Y/N), yes, yes! Can I-can I cum? Please?”
It had only been a few minutes, but Tamaki was close to the edge, slim thighs tensing behind your head as you considered his request.
You popped off his length, licking your lips and ignoring his pleading whine.
“Of course baby boy, always-” A soft kiss was laid against his thigh, and Tamaki threw his head back, thin chest heaving underneath his cute sweater, his face bright red.
He got overwhelmed at the littlest things.
Once his cock was back in your mouth, it took a tiny bit of work to bring him to the edge, bobbing your head, swirling your tongue, hollowing your cheeks and really sucking.
Those pretty moans echoed throughout the tiny apartment, filling up the space, filling your ears, making you want to smile. He was a sweet man, and you were glad to be so close to him.
A moment more and he was cumming, hot seed dripping down your throat, his fingers twisted in your hair, balls drawn up and pulsing against your chin.
-----
“Tamaki, you already got to cum and I didn’t.” You pouted, sitting on your bed.
You had helped your younger brother wash-up, licking his spent cock clean before tucking him back into your pants. Climbing up into his lap to boop his nose and whisper an “I love you” into his ear, grinding against his thigh in the process.
He had gotten his release, and now you were hungry for your own.
“Don’t be greedy-” Your fingers plunge into your cunt over and over, palm grinding against your clit as you stretch yourself out, watching Tamaki through hooded eyes as he sits obediently at the foot of your bed.
“Please, I-I just wanna t-touch myself a l-little?” His hands are pinching at his bare thighs, desperate to fist themselves around his dripping cock. You’d told him to be good and stay still and watch as you got yourself ready, and he had been.
Tamaki was just needy.
“Okay, but just a little, okay? No cumming.”
“Thank you, oh, thank you-” The man breathes, hands flying to wrap around his cock, his eyes fluttering shut as his hips bucked up a little towards the pressure.
You giggle a little at how cute he is, those big indigo eyes focusing back onto you again, dropping to your wet fingers as you eagerly fuck yourself on them.
But it’s not enough, and you want more.
A quick search through your bedside drawer and you find your vibrator, quickly flicking it on, watching Tamaki gulp as you bring it against your cunt. You sigh as it makes contact, the buzzy, rumbly sensation traveling through your thighs as you easily grind your hips forward against the wand.
“Mmh, I’ve been thinking... ooo, that feels so nice.” You moan, placing a hand behind you so you can steady yourself as you begin to hump against your vibrator. “I’ve been thinking though, that I should get you some-oh-get you some toys.”
Tamaki whimpers, high and pitched, and you smile when his cock visibly throbs. The man has to clench a fist around the base, squeezing hard to stop himself from humming.
“You like that idea? Yeah?”
He nodded, hair bobbing as his head moved enthusiastically.
“You’d look so pretty with a cock ring, mm, you would. And-oh, I could get one that vibrates, and it’ll feel like heaven when you fuck me.”
Your pussy was gushing, throbbing against the wand. You didn’t want to cum too soon, so you flicked it off, before crawling towards your brother.
“We could get you a nice little plug, maybe one that vibrates? And you could keep it in allllll day. You could go to class with it, and jerk yourself off in the bathrooms. I’d love if you sent me a video of you moaning my name as you cum into the toilet.”
The man whined again, his hips bucking up.
You giggled, rising to your knees so you could straddle the man, a hand finding his hard cock beneath you, lining it up to your dripping cunt.
“Would you like that ‘Maki?”
“Yes, yes-oh s-so much, please, that sounds-gUH!” His words choked off into a pathetic moan as you sank down on his length, and you sigh at the feeling of fullness.
Tamaki presses a hand over his mouth, embarrassed by the needy moans that he’s unable to suppress, hips bucking up against your warmth, trying to seat himself deeper.
“Don’t cover your mouth, I wanna hear you. You feel so good inside me.” You coo, using your thighs to bounce a little on his cock.
His hand falls to the side, and you lean forward to kiss him, letting your tongue play with his, slick, wet sounds filling the room.
And then you tell him to fuck you.
The man doesn’t hold back, greedy, slender hands fixing themselves around your waist as his hips work, pushing himself inside your cunt again and again and again.
Both of you are breathing heavily, and it feels so good, the way he fucks you.
“Oh fuck, keep going, ‘m almost there!” You pant, reaching a hand down to play with your clit, four fingers rubbing across the little nub as you climb higher and higher.
And when you cum, it’s with a full-body shudder, a cry tumbling from your lips as you slam your hips against your brothers.
Tamaki tumbles over the edge soon after, barely managing to pull free from your slick cunt before his cock is bursting with cum, painting the soft skin of your tummy with his release.
You rest against him, laying your head on his shoulder as you pant onto his skin, satisfied and warm.
When you gather your bearings, you shuffle off his lap, searching through the covers to wind the wand you’d previously dropped.
“You’re such a good boy ‘Maki, but I wanted you to cum inside-” You were pouting again as you held up the vibrator, waving it in the air.
Tamaki looked like a deer caught in the headlights, eyes wide. “W-what?”
“I’m gonna play with you a bit until you get hard again, and then I’m going to put your tip inside me-just the tip- and you’re going to cum while I use the vibrator on you, got it?”
The man shivers in anticipation, and you smile.
You love each other so much.

-More Hearts Than Mine-
Tumblr media
Summary: Raising a child is hard. Raising a child with one of Hollywood’s biggest stars is even harder. And raising a child with one of Hollywood’s biggest stars who you’re not actually in a relationship with is even harder still.
Especially when a global pandemic is sweeping the world.
With lockdowns and stay at home orders looming on the horizon, the uncertainty of their situation becomes almost too much for Whitney Taylor to handle. Chris suggests that they quarantine together to avoid any potential separations but, given what happened the last time they spent more than a few brief moments in each other’s company, that could cause more problems than it solves…
Chris Evans x OFC
Sequel to: Once Bitten - Twice Shy
Note: I’ve decided to make this five parts instead of four. I was originally going to combine this part and the next one, but I feel like it flows better with a bit of separation between them!
Part One
____
Part Two
The rest of our first afternoon together was spent lazing around. Grayson was tired, but continued to refuse his nap so we kept things low key to avoid any exhausted toddler meltdowns. By the time the evening rolled around, I was tired from the stress of the day myself and since I still had to unpack, I went up to my bedroom shortly after we'd tucked Grayson into bed.
I slept a lot better than I thought I would given everything that was on my mind and when I woke up, I could already hear the sounds of breakfast echoing up from the kitchen. Taking a few minutes to let myself wake up properly, I checked my phone and scrolled through social media before getting up, stretching and heading downstairs.
"Good morning," I smiled, finding Chris and Grayson sitting at the island eating some scrambled eggs while Scott leaned against the counter with a cereal bowl in his hands.
"G'morning, Mama!"
Grayson's greeting was said through a mouthful of food and Chris reminded him that wasn't polite before greeting me himself.
"Help yourself to whatever you want," he insisted. "There's some eggs left in the pan or cereal, whatever you can find. Maybe Grayson will even share his apple slices with you if you ask nicely."
Grayson gasped at that suggestion and frantically shook his head.
"No, Daddy!" He protested. "I don't want to share!"
I laughed as he reached over his plate to move the little bowl of sliced fruit closer to his body where he could keep it guarded.
"Not even one slice?" I asked. "But I'm so hungry!"
"Over there!" Grayson giggled, pointing at the counter.
I turned around and saw a few more apples in a bowl, making me smile as I turned back to the boys.
"But they're not nicely sliced like yours," I pointed out. "How can I eat those?"
Grayson shrugged and plucked one of his apples out of his bowl. He looked smug, thinking he'd won, but he was so distracted while he took a bite that he didn't see Chris' hand sneak over until he'd snatched one of the slices and tossed it to me.
"Catch!"
I did as Chris instructed and Grayson's jaw dropped. An indignant huff fell from his lips as he looked between the two of us.
"That's not nice."
Chris laughed, but I bit back a smile and returned his apple.
"You're right, baby," I agreed, kissing the top of your head. "That was mean, but we were just tricking you. You don't have to share your apple."
"Thanks, Mama."
The frown on his face turned back into a grin and I scraped the rest of the eggs that were in the pan on the stove onto a plate before turning back to the boys once I’d pulled a fork from the drawer.
"So, how do you want to work it with things like groceries while I'm here?"
"Just tell me what you want and I'll order it," Chris told me. "They've started doing curbside pick up pretty much everywhere so I was thinking I'd just do that."
"Oh, that's handy, but I meant like money wise. Should I just transfer you my share or do you want to alternate who pays?"
Chris stared at me for a moment as if he was trying to figure out if I was joking before he chuckled.
"I'm not taking any money from you, Whitney."
His voice was firm, but I furrowed my brow in confusion.
"What? Why not? I can't let you pay for everything."
"You're not still working, are you?" Scott asked. "Or is it different since, as a photographer, you're so far away from whoever you're taking pictures of?"
"I'm not working," I admitted. "I think it would be doable if it was, like, family portraits or something like that, but the big photo shoots involve too many people. Everyone cancelled on me last week or delayed my contracts until at least the summer."
"So, don't worry about paying for anything then," Chris shrugged. "It's not like you're going to eat that much, I think I can handle the cost."
He was trying to do a nice thing. He was a very generous person with those that he cared about, but I wasn't going to take advantage of him.
"I have savings, Chris," I insisted. "I'm not completely helpless."
As if sensing a rising tension, Scott put his bowl in the sink and grabbed his coffee mug before turning to Grayson.
"Hey, Gray, let's go see what cartoons we can find."
Grayson nodded eagerly and Chris helped him down from the tall stool so he could follow Scott out of the room, taking his little bowl of apples with him.
"I wasn't trying to imply that you're helpless," Chris assured me once they were out of earshot. "But you're tiny, I don't think that buying you a few groceries for the next couple of months will financially cripple me."
I tried to temper my defensiveness before I answered him, reminding myself again that he was trying to be helpful.
"I know that, but I don't feel comfortable living here for that long without contributing," I told him. "You already give me more than you need to every month for Grayson."
It was true. Since our custody agreement was that Grayson spent fifty percent of his time with each of us, he wasn't required to pay me any child support. But he did anyway. It was something we’d argued about on and off over the years because the amount that he gave me was way over the top. I appreciated his generosity and I did use all the money to buy things for Gray, but most of it ended up in a bank account that I'd opened for him because there was no way to spend it all in one month without Grayson becoming the most spoiled child in all of Massachusetts.
"I like to make sure he's taken care of."
"Which I am capable of doing with my own money when he's in my care," I reminded him. "But I don't want to start that whole conversation again. I just want to feel like I'm doing my part while I stay with you."
"And I appreciate that gesture, but it won't be necessary," Chris insisted. "You can clean, you can cook, do anything like that to help out, but I won't accept any money, especially while you're not working."
I sighed as he stood up to put his plate in the dishwasher while I put mine on the counter, too distracted by our conversation to eat. I knew it would be a struggle to get him to agree to take money from me, but I wasn't ready to back down so I thought of a compromise and hoped he would accept.
"How about we drop it for now," I suggested. "But if this thing goes on for more than a couple of weeks, can we talk about it again?"
Chris paused and crossed his arms. I could tell that he wanted to argue, but I was relieved when he agreed.
"Alright," he nodded, hesitating for a moment before adding a stipulation to the deal. "But we're going to talk about your car too before you leave here."
"My car? What about my car?"
"Grayson told me that it's not working properly," Chris admitted. "He said it sounds angry sometimes and that you haven't gotten it checked out yet."
I rolled my eyes, guessing that was one of those 'secrets' that he mentioned.
"It's fine," I assured him. "It made a weird sound one time last week when I tried to start it, but it's still working. I was going to take it in, but then all this virus stuff happened and I didn't have chance."
"You need a new one," Chris informed me. "That one is getting old anyway. I'll take you car shopping when things reopen."
I laughed at the absurdity of that statement, but I could see the annoyance on his face at my reaction.
"You're not buying me a car, Chris. The one I have is perfectly fine and if it's not then I will take myself car shopping, thank you very much."
"Why do you get so defensive when I try to help you?" He asked, his eyes shifting into a glare. "I'm not going to accidentally think that you're in love with me just because you accept a nice gesture from me. I can take a hint, Whitney, I get it."
My jaw dropped and I couldn't hold back a disgruntled scoff at his insane change of topic.
"What are you even talking about? This has nothing to do with that," I argued. "I wouldn’t have accepted your invitation if I knew you were going to hold that over me and throw it in my face all the time."
“All the time? This is the first time I’ve mentioned it!”
“Yes, but I’ve not even been here for twenty-fours hours and you’ve already brought it up!”
Perhaps it was my harsh, snappy tone that did it or my very valid criticism of his low blow, but Chris' body language softened.
"I just don't get why you get so worked up when I'm trying to help you..."
"Because I don't need help, Chris," I explained. "I might not be Captain America rich, but I do just fine and I can take care of myself. I can buy my own groceries and if I really needed to, I could buy myself a new car. You throwing money at me for things like that makes me feel like you don't value the success I've had in my career or my ability to manage my finances which is, quite frankly, offensive."
Chris dropped his arms so they were no longer crossed and his shoulders relaxed. Clearly, he'd been getting quite defensive as well and had realized it, whether he would admit it or not. I held my head high, proud of myself for explaining my feelings so well and taking him down a notch, but that feeling disappeared as soon as Chris spoke.
"If you were the richest woman in the world, I would still want to buy you a car," Chris started, looking more nervous than the dismissive, self-assured attitude I was getting moments ago. "I'd still want to buy you anything you could ever need because making you happy makes me happy."
My face fell at his confession and my heart clenched again, knowing what the underlying sentiment behind his statement was. It stung more than any hurtful words could have as the sincerity, the genuine care and appreciation, in his voice was heartbreaking. I regretted not adding a condition to our cohabitation that specified he wasn't allowed to say such nice, guilt inducing things as I stared at him for a moment, trying to think of a way to get out of this conversation that was more polite than just bolting out the door.
Too much time was passing as his words hung between us so, short of any good comeback to his words, I shrugged.
"If you want to make me happy, let me contribute for the groceries."
It was Chris' turn to look shocked now, as he was obviously expecting a more thoughtful response to his rather vulnerable admission, but he pulled himself together quickly and a dry laugh fell from his lips.
"Nice try, Whitney," he smiled, shaking his head. "But that's not going to happen."
Without giving me any more time to argue, he turned on his heels and walked out the door leaving me alone to wallow in my guilt and wonder how much longer I'd be able to keep up my act of nonchalance.
-
There was a weird sense of restlessness in the house that day. Usually, killing a few days at home would be no big deal but, as soon as the stay at home orders came into place that morning, the knowledge that we were now unable to do anything else made it feel slightly more suffocating.
Chris wasn't lying though when he said that he planned to make this lockdown as enjoyable as possible so we managed to keep ourselves entertained as we planned out some of the things we could do. Chris and Scott were compiling a list of old movies they wanted to watch again, I ordered a bunch of puzzles and books (some more child appropriate and some for the adults), Chris dug out an old wiffle ball set he had from when they were kids and Scott organized Chris' video game collection, pulling out all the good ones like their favourite: Mario Kart.
By the end of the day, we were all feeling much more optimistic about how our time at home would go. Especially Grayson. It was finally starting to sink in for him that he got to spend the foreseeable future surrounded by all his favourite people - something that was unfortunately a rarity for him given our situation. He was bouncing off the walls as he threw his ideas into the mix and couldn't wait to get started on all the fun.
The excitement of the day led to another early night for him and I excused myself shortly after, declining the invitation to start practicing my Mario Kart skills.
After our conversation that morning, I was trying to keep a bit of distance from Chris. I wasn't mad and it didn't seem like he had any lasting feelings of annoyance either, but our earlier discussion proved to me that there was still tension and resentment between us. I wanted to let it settle and give him some space so our small disagreement didn't turn into a full-blown argument. Living together after everything we'd been through would be an adjustment period and easing into it would probably be the safest route.
So, I took myself off to my bedroom and lounged in bed watching some new mystery show on Netflix. I started it thinking it would just be a good way to pass a few hours until a reasonable time to go to bed but as usual with Netflix, I got sucked in and before I knew it, it was almost midnight.
I closed my laptop, knowing I needed to get some sleep as Grayson was an early riser, but I noticed the glass of water I'd taken upstairs with me hours ago was empty and my mouth was dry. With a sigh, I dragged myself out of bed, taking the glass to the kitchen to fill it up.
I crept down the stairs, assuming everyone would be in bed already, but I was surprised when I got to the kitchen to see the light on. I poked my head into the room and saw Scott sitting at the little island in the middle of the room, a drink in his hand and a melancholy look on his face.
"Hey," I greeted him, alerting him to my presence. "You're up late..."
"I was just FaceTiming with my boyfriend. He's in LA so it worked with the time difference."
"Boyfriend?" I questioned as I headed over to the sink to fill up my glass. "I didn't know you had a boyfriend."
"It's pretty new," he sighed. "We've only been together about a month now."
"That's so exciting! You didn't want to stay in LA and quarantine with him?"
"No, we thought it was too fresh for us to, like, fully move in together and if I was in LA and not living with him then we wouldn't see each other anyway, so I decided I may as well come here."
"That's really hard," I frowned as I pulled out the chair next to him and sat down. "I'm sorry that you had to make a decision like that."
"It's alright," he shrugged despite the sad look on his face. "A lot of people have had to make much tougher decisions than that lately."
"That doesn't mean you can't be upset anyway."
"I know, but I'll be alright. I'm just glad we've got so many ways to stay in touch." He flashed me a smile and I was glad to see it. Scott was a good guy and one of those people who was usually so positive and upbeat that it was hard to see him feeling down. "What about you? How are you doing with everything?"
"Oh, I don't know," I sighed. "Do you mean the deadly virus plaguing the world? Or the fact that I'm in lockdown with the father of my child who I have a fairly complicated history with?"
"Both," Scott chuckled as he sipped his drink of what looked to be whiskey. "But I was more referring to being here in lockdown with Chris."
"It's hard, but I'm doing okay. It's just a weird situation."
"It'll definitely take some time to get used to for both of you," he nodded. "He felt really bad this morning. He told me what you said about how offensive it is when he throws money at you all the time and I totally agree, but I hope you know his heart was in the right place. He tells everyone how talented you are, he would never want to belittle your career."
"I know," I winced. "I overreacted a little bit."
"No, not at all!" Scott assured me. "He needed to hear it. I've been on the receiving end of it too so I know how you felt, but he doesn't realize how it comes off some times. He's just trying to be generous and help the people he loves."
I nodded and I knew that I should just end the conversation there. Tell him that I understood what Chris' intent was and leave it at that. But my heart overpowered my brain and I found myself opening up before I could stop myself.
"I just don't exactly deserve to be on that list," I reminded him. "And I shouldn't take advantage of any feelings he might have for me after the decision that I made."
"You really do deserve to be on that list," he told me with a smile. "He's really in love with you."
"Love might be a bit extreme," I scoffed. "He's made his feelings clear, I know he cares about me, but it's not love."
"He's not made his feelings clear enough then," Scott countered. "Because he's been head over heels in love with you since pretty much the moment he met you."
My mouth went dry as my brain fought to comprehend that claim while all my instincts were telling me that it wasn't true. Scott wouldn't lie to me, he wasn't that kind of person, but he could be exaggerating especially since he had been drinking. There was an honesty in his eyes though, a look that told me he was telling the truth, but I couldn't accept it, it just didn't make sense.
"That's not true," I argued. "He only ever saw me as a friend until that one night and that night was a mistake."
But Scott was confident in what he'd shared and he shook his head.
"He never saw you as just a friend. You were his endgame from day one."
Perhaps it was a delaying tactic, perhaps it was a nervous response or I was subconsciously trying to buy myself some time to make sense of what he was trying to tell me, but a giggle slipped out at Scott's choice of words.
"Endgame? Is that an Avengers joke?"
"It wasn't intentional," he assured me with a laugh, but he was quick to get us back on topic. "But I mean it. We had a conversation just a few weeks after you met and he was talking about you like you hung the moon. He's been enamoured from the start."
I couldn't wrap my head around it. He was speaking with such confidence, but the words he was saying might as well have been another language. Knowing what I knew about our situation, how things had unfolded between us, how that first night together went down and the aftermath of it, there was no sign that Chris had been in love with me. He cared about me, that much I knew, but to be in love? That didn't add up.
Especially when I'd had those feelings all along as well. Surely, I would have noticed had they been reciprocated.
I'd fallen silent as my brain buzzed, scrambling for any gesture or obvious evidence that I'd missed that might prove Scott's claim, but when he spoke again, I was pulled from my thoughts.
"Do you not feel the same way about him?" He asked. "And there's no judgment here, I can see both sides. I love Chris and I want him to be happy, but I respect what you're trying to do."
I felt my heart rate spike again as my palms grew sweaty in a way that was becoming annoyingly familiar.
I was aware of the importance of this conversation, but I was also aware that I wasn't having it with the right person. If Scott was being honest then Chris must have had his reasons for not sharing the depth of his feelings with me and it felt sneaky and deceitful that I was finding out from someone else. It also felt wrong that the answer to Scott's question was on the tip of my tongue. Chris deserved to know before his brother, but I was tired. Fighting through this mess all by myself was wearing me down and Scott had always been one of those people that compelled you to pour your heart out to him. He was a better listener than most and I needed someone, anyone, to give me some kind of guidance. So the words were out of my mouth before I could stop them.
"I do feel the same," I admitted, my eyes firmly locked on the glass of water on the table in front of me as I worried I'd be too anxious to speak if I looked Scott in the eye. "I love him very much."
"Then why are you so scared to give him a chance?" He questioned. "Just because of Grayson?"
I nodded, but even I was starting to doubt my own motivations.
"We work together so well right now, but if we give it a shot and someone ends up getting hurt then we might not be able to put our feelings aside and keep things peaceful."
"But aren't you hurting each other every day that you spend in love with each other, but not together?" He pointed out. "Yet, you manage to put Grayson first through all that pain."
His words hit me like a bucket of ice water had been dumped over my head.
It was an excellent point.
We were both hurting from being apart, it was clear from how defensive we got over silly little things like we had that morning. I could only imagine how Chris felt, but it was hard for me to be around him all the time and just keep things friendly when in my heart I wanted more. I ached at the sight of him every time I dropped Grayson off or picked him up, but we still managed to be friendly and polite through that.
"How many of those drinks have you had?” I teased earning a laugh from Scott. “They’ve made you too wise.”
"Not enough," he joked. "But it's true, isn't it?"
"It is true, but it's different," I insisted. "If we were together and broke up, that kind of hurt can come with a lot of anger. Right now, we might be sad or disappointed about the situation, but there's no anger."
"Oh, there was anger," Scott informed me, grimacing slightly. "After Christmas, when he came back from dropping Grayson off at your house there was definitely anger. He slammed doors, stormed around the house, got drunk off his ass and ranted about it for hours. I've never seen him that upset over being turned down before."
My heart sank at that news. I knew that he'd been upset, but I didn't think he'd taken it that badly. I thought he was just a bit sulky, but now my guilt intensified.
"Why are you telling me this?" I asked, my voice thick with emotion. "I feel bad enough as it is..."
"Oh, honey, I'm not trying to make you feel bad," Scott assured me, reaching over to rub my back as I forced back the tears that had sprung to my eyes. "But it proves that even if one of you ends up heartbroken, you can still put Grayson first because you just did it."
"I didn't, Chris did," I pointed out after clearing my throat. "If it wasn't up to me, if Chris came to his senses and ditched me for some beautiful actress, then I'm not sure that I could be so forgiving."
"Why would he ditch you?"
As promised, there was no judgment in Scott's voice, just genuine curiosity and I shrugged as I answered.
"Because he could have any woman in America."
"Maybe not any woman, let's not get carried away," Scott smirked, his teasing tone making me smile. "But for such a relationship loving guy, don't you think it's interesting that he hasn't been in a serious relationship in about five years?"
That wasn't something I'd put much thought into, but it wasn't the 'gotcha' moment that it seemed like Scott had hoped it was.
"Not really. He's been busy with work the last few years," I pointed out. "And having a baby with me must have complicated his personal life a bit."
"You complicated his personal life the moment he met you," Scott insisted. "That's my point."
He sounded so sure of himself, but the words he was saying were still hard for me to comprehend. I'd always been so confident in my understanding of our relationship and if I was to believe him, it would shatter everything I thought I knew.
"I just don't see why he wouldn't have mentioned this by now..."
"You know how he gets with his anxiety. He's not always the over confident hotshot that people assume he is," Scott reminded me. "But you'll have to talk to him if you want more information than that."
I let out a sigh as I knew he was right.
"There's a lot that we need to talk about," I admitted. "Thank you for this though, Scott, you've given me a lot to think about."
"Anytime," he smiled. "And I completely respect that you're willing to put Grayson first despite whatever feelings you have. You're a wonderful mom and I would be proud to call you my sister-in-law."
I laughed at his outrageous leap from even considering a relationship straight to marriage and shook my head.
"You need to go to bed, Scott," I instructed. "You've clearly had too much to drink tonight."
"I probably have," he agreed. "But I meant everything that I've said. Think about it, okay?"
I nodded as I slid off the stool I was sitting on, wrapping my arms around him in a quick hug.
"I'm here for you too, you know that right?" I asked as I stepped back. "If you ever want to talk about your situation or vent and complain about the distance, whatever you need, I'm here."
"Thanks, Whitney," he smiled before dragging himself off his stool as well. "Goodnight."
I returned his smile and mumbled a 'goodnight' of my own before heading back to bed with all the new information that Scott had provided echoing around in my head. While it had been a very informative conversation, I wasn't quite sure whether I came away from it with the clarity I was looking for or just more confusion.

5. Only One Bed
-------
You loved your job, you really did, but you hated being covered in grease. Granted, it didn't happen every day, in fact it happened quite rarely, since you always made an effort to be really careful, but today was just one of those days. Your alarm didn't go off in the morning, meaning when you entered the mess hall all you got was cold caf, H9J, the droid that usually assisted you with repairs, had some lose wiring that needed fixing before you could even start work for the day and once had finally finished repairing the first starship and started on the second you were startled by a loud bang, which resulted in you cutting the wrong wire and the engine unloading every milliliter of oil and fuel and grease onto you. "If one more thing goes wrong I'm gonna kill someone", you muttered under your breath while walking through the hallway to get a change of clothes before hopping under the shower. "In that case I don't think you'll like what I have to say." You came to an abrupt halt and turned around to see Wolffe walking up to you. Just seeing him brought the hint of a smile to your face. Wolffe was probably the only person who could always make you smile, which was ironic, since the stoic soldier didn't smile much himself. "Just tell me so I can get out of these clothes." Wolffe looked you up and down, a slight hint of disgust on his face, probably due to the different fluids staining your overalls, but there was also the hint of something else, something you couldn't quite decipher. “The ship needs to be taken in for some sort of internal moderation, so we’ll have to spend the night somewhere else.”  You raised an eyebrow at him. Not only because ‘internal moderation’ sounded a bit suspicious, but also because he knew as well as you did that none of you, neither clones nor crew, had someplace else to stay.  “The GAR has arranged hotel rooms for all civilians on board”, Wolffe quickly added, probably having recognized your shock and disapproval.  You just nodded. “When do we have to leave?”  His crooked smile told you everything you needed to know. Apparently this day could get way worse, now you couldn’t even shower in peace.  “Alright”, you sighed. “Just give me fives minutes to pack an overnight bag and then we can head out.”  You didn’t wait for Wolffe’s reply, sure he’d turn up at your door in five minutes to tell you to hurry up. What you didn’t expect was for him to follow you once you turned around and made your way to your room.  “I won’t be going with you, none of the clones are. The hotel rooms are for civilians, not clones”, he clarified. His tone made it very obvious how little he liked the arrangement. “Most of my brothers have already left, the majority lent some camping supplies and the rest are hoping to find someone at the local bars to spend the night with”, he continued.  You hesitated for just a moment before voicing your proposal.  “In that case I think it would only make sense for you to stay with me. Unless you’d like to go to the bar as well.”  You didn’t dare to look at Wolffe and just kept your eyes locked on your door, which had finally come in sight. The idea had been rather spontaneous, mostly because you knew how he despised camping, but in the time it took him to reply you quickly came to regret every single word.  “You don’t have to let me stay with you, I’ll be fine”, Wolffe tried to argue.  Though this might have been your way out of this awkward situation, you shook your head. You were nothing if not stubborn and since you had proposed it you couldn’t back out now.  “Please, you’ve done so much for me, helped me when I first joined the 104th and protected me ever since then, it’s the least I can do to repay you.”  When Wolffe finally nodded in agreement you weren’t sure whether to be glad or if this was the final straw on your bad day.
-------
About twenty minutes, and a deadly silent walk, later you found yourself in front of yet another door, though this one didn’t lead to your room, but rather a hotel room.  “Here goes nothing”, you mumbled as the doors opened after you scanned the key card, knowing how little funds the army had and that they wouldn’t waste them on hotel rooms.  “This isn’t that bad”, you exclaimed as you made your way into the room. “Look, there’s even a pretty decent view of the city.”  Other than you, who now stared out the window, Wolffe focused on the bed. Bed, singular. He should have known, after all the room was only supposed to be for one person. It wasn’t even a large bed, just slightly bigger than the one Wolffe was used to in the barracks.  “Maybe this is a bad idea”, Wolffe said, hating how uncertain he suddenly sounded. But who could blame him? He’d have to sleep next to you, with only very little possible space between his body and yours. Just when he thought he was finally getting over his crush interest, this had to happen.  “Why would you say tha... Oh... Oh, Wolffe, I didn’t realize”, you said as your eyes followed his and also landed on the small bed.  “I’m gonna go”, Wolffe said.  He began to turn around when he suddenly felt your hand around his wrist. You both knew that you weren’t strong enough to keep him here if he really wanted to leave, but just this slight touch broke down all of Wolffe’s walls.  “C’mon, Wolffe, we’re friends, and more importantly, we’re both adults, I think we’ll manage to sleep in the same bed for one night.”  The part of Wolffe that was still thinking straight was telling him to get out of the room as fast as possible, but the irresponsible and honestly down right tired side of him relented. How bad could it be?
-------
Though you were having second thoughts while brushing your teeth in the small refresher, once you stepped out and saw Wolffe, in only the trousers of his blacks and with hair more unruly than you had ever seen it laying on the bed you thanked the stars for your spontaneous idea.  “Do you need to use the refresher again?”, you asked as you sat down on your side of the bed.  Wolffe only shook his head, his gaze glued to the window and the city beyond.  “Alright then... Good night, I guess”, you said as you pulled the blanket (yes, only one blanket for the two of you to share) up, though you were slightly disappointed at the fact that it now covered more of Wolffe’s toned chest.  “Night”, he echoed before reaching over to the bedside table and turning off the small lamp.  You didn’t know how it was possible, but in the dark you were somehow even more aware of Wolffe laying only a few centimeters away from you, so close that you could feel his body heat under your shared blanket and smell the shampoo in his hair, which somehow smelled better on him than the other clones, even though they all used the same one.  Even though it took you a while to fall asleep, you tried your best not to move, partly because you wanted to avoid accidentally touching Wolffe, which would only result in even more confused feelings, and partly because you knew Wolffe was a light sleeper and didn’t want to risk waking him up.  Finally, after what felt like an eternity of laying still in the darkness, you fell asleep.  Though only shortly, because next thing you knew you were awake again. Awake and sweaty and shaking.  “Shh, it’s alright, everything’s fine. Just focus on me, focus on my voice.”  The voice was familiar, as were the hands on your cheek and shoulder, though it took you a moment to place them, still too consumed by the nightmare you had just woken up from.  “W...Wollfe?”, you stuttered, hating how shaky and scared your voice sounded.  The hands on you grew firmer and you could have sworn that for a split second you felt a pair of soft lips on your sweaty forehead.  “I’m here, cyare”, the same voice, definitely Wolffe, whispered in the dark.  Though you still couldn’t see him, his familiar voice, touch and smell helped you to return to reality.  “Wolffe, I... I’m so sorry”, you choked out, trying your best not to sob. The nightmare was still in your bones, and the embarrassment of having woken Wolffe didn’t help.  Instead of the gruff reply you had been expecting Wolffe suddenly pulled you closer. Your chest, clad in only a thin top, was now pressed against Wolffe’s naked one, one of his arms around your shoulder and the other grabbing your hip.  “There’s nothing to be sorry for. You had a nightmare, we all have those. Hell, mine could probably give yours a run for their money.”  You just nodded before moving closer to him so that your nose was buried in the crook of his neck. You might have just had a nightmare, but luckily it had been replaced by this dream, a dream of laying in Wolffe’s arms that you had already had more often than you’d like to admit. Sadly you knew deep down that that dream would never become reality.
-------
When the light of one of the planet’s suns streaming through your window woke you up the next morning you were somehow still tired.  It took you a moment to remember where you were, and even longer who you were with. Your eyes widened in realization when you noticed that you were cuddled up next to Wolffe, your legs intertwined with his and his arm around your waist. Though you had to admit that you were rather fond of this position you knew that it would be terribly awkward once Wolffe woke up.  Speak of the devil...  “Hey, you feeling better?”  You looked up at him through your eyelashes. Surely this had to be another dream, if this were real Wolffe wouldn’t be so relaxed to waking up with you in his arms.  You gave him a moment, maybe he was still too sleepy to realize who exactly he was cuddling with.  “(Y/N)? You alright?”  The way he said your name in his even rougher morning voice, and the fact that he said your name at all, clearly knowing who it was next to him, did things to you you’d rather not analyse, at least not in that moment.  Finally it dawned on you that the dream after the nightmare had not been a dream after all, it had all been real. Your nerves slowly began to fade away at the realization, and curiosity took over.  “Wolffe, what does cyare mean?”  Instead of answering your question he untangled his body from yours and sat up against the headboard. The look in his eyes was something you couldn’t decipher, though it wasn’t altogether unfamiliar.  “Buy me a cup of caf and maybe I’ll tell you.”  A laugh escaped you, unexpected, but not unwelcome since it seemed to lighten the mood.  “How about two cups of caf and you’ll call me that again?”, you tried to bargain with a raised eyebrow and a smile you hoped was something between smug and seductive. In truth, you’d buy him all the caf in the galaxy if it meant he’d say that word again in the same voice he used that night, if he held you again like that even better.  “Oh, cyare, I don’t need caf for that, all you had to do was ask.”  His tone easily beat your when it came to being smug and seductive, but you didn’t mind at all, not after hearing that word again.  Stars, that man, especially early in the morning and without a shirt, would be the death of you.
-------
I sorta just used this prompt to deal with the terrible nightmare I had last night, so sorry for that, but hopefully you enjoyed it anyway

Nurse Y/N
A/N: I’ve been working on this for a couple of days and happy to finally be able to post it. Mob Tom fic, i tried to add smut but i don’t think my writings there at the minute, i’ll do it eventually. Bit of a slow burn but not too much. As always i hope you enjoy.
Summary: You’re a nurse and you’ve always been on the right side of the law, what happens when you meet a man that sweet and caring but definitely not on the right side of the law.
Warnings: Language, mentions and hints of smut.
W/C: 4.4K,
You’d lived with your best friend for around a year now. A bad relationship had brought you to his door, he took you in and the rest is history. You were working as a nurse in the local hospital and you had no idea what exactly it was that your best friend did, he didn’t talk much about it, claiming he “just did odd jobs for someone”. You were sceptical to say the least, the amount of times he had come home covered in bruises led you to believe that his activities were probably not legal. But he never brought it home and being non the wiser made things slightly easier for you. It was your day off and you were stuck into a Netflix series when you saw your best friends name light up on your phone screen. You noticed it was 1am and wondered why he wasn’t home yet.
“Hi James. What’s up?”
“Y/N? Where are you?” He asked in a rushed tone. He sounded out of breath. You could hear the slamming of a car door over the speaker.
“I’m at home. Why? James what’s wrong?” You asked him, voice growing more concerned.
“I need your help. If I text you an address can you meet me there?”
“Sure. James are you okay?” You asked as you started to put your shoes on.
“I’m fine! I just need you to meet me.”
“Okay, text me the address.” You sighed as you hung up and grabbed your car keys.
Once you received the address you set off in the direction that your SAT NAV was taking you. As you came nearer to the destination you started to feel more and more uneasy. It was almost too quiet for London. You pulled into what looked like an abandoned warehouse, now you were really uneasy. You fumbled around your bag as you tried to find your phone, with a tight grip you dialled James’ number.
“Y/N? Where are you?”
“I’m outside but what is going on? Where have you brought me?”
“Stay there I’ll be out in a second.” He huffed as he put the phone down.
He wasn’t wrong, it couldn’t have been 30 seconds later that he arrived at your car, pulling the door open. He looked physically fine but the worry on his face still had you on your guard. What on Earth was going on? You glanced at the time in your car 1.10am. What the hell is happening?
“Y/N. I’m sorry for calling so late but I didn’t know who else to call. I can’t go to a hospital and I need one, so I need your help. I need you to do something for me.” He spoke faster than you thought physically possible.
“Slow down. What is it? Are you hurt?” You asked as you scanned him overlooking for wounds that weren’t there. What did he mean he needed a hospital but couldn’t go?
“The guy I work for. He’s been injured, someone managed to get a shot off on him.” He rambled as he pulled you towards the building.
“Shot! What the hell are you talking about? What do you do?” You almost screamed.
“Look. I promise I’ll explain everything Y/N. But right now I need you to help him. I can’t take him to a hospital it would be too risky. I need you to take the bullet out and stitch him up. Please, he’s my boss. He’ll make it worth your while.” He asked you with pleading eyes as he pulled you further into the warehouse.
“James. I’m not a surgeon! I don’t know if I can do that!” You started to panic now.
“You can give stitches though? He’s been shot in the arm, he’s losing blood, but I think the bullet is stemming the bleeding. I don’t think it’s lodged too far in. Please and I promise I’ll explain everything.”
The nurse in you was screaming at you to try and help who ever it was but you were frightened, you weren’t a surgeon. What if it went wrong? He could sue you; you’d lose your career. You weren’t supposed to do this off duty. So many things were running through your mind as James took you into another room that was filled with 4 other men. All dressed rather smart to say they’d clearly been involved in illegal activity. The man who James had informed you was the boss became apparent when you saw him clutching his arm. Blood dripping down it.
“Boss. This is Y/N, she’s a nurse.” James explained as you both stopped in front of him. He was attractive at first glance. Beautiful brown eyes and brown curls that were almost begging to have fingers run through them. You kept quiet, feeling intimidated as he stared you down, expression completely unreadable.
“Can you trust her?” The ‘Boss’ asked James.
“She’s been my best friend for years; you can trust her.” James answered confidently. You just shook your head, finally having the courage to speak up.
“Hang on just a second. What do you mean can you trust her? I’m the one who should be wondering that, your sat there having been shot, apparently need my help and you have the audacity to ask if you can trust me?” You almost screamed at the man in front of you. You don’t know what made you snap, maybe it was the stress of the situation or how tired you suddenly felt. James grasped your arm in a tight grip.
“Y/N. I love you, but this is no time to be head strong. Just please, be respectful, he’s an important man.” He said to you as he released your arm. Before you could say anything, the brown eyed man spoke first.
“No, that’s quite alright James. She’s feisty, nothing wrong with that.” He said as he smirked in your direction. He may have been good looking, but he was irritating the hell out of you. You just looked at him as if to say, “what the fuck?” He just smiled at you. “Now, I would very much appreciate it if you could help me out. I will pay you what ever you want, and I promise not to say a word to anyone about what you have done for me.” He gave you what seemed to be a genuine smile and you sighed. Perhaps doing what he asked was the fastest way to get to bed.
“Look, I’m not a surgeon. I might not be able to do much, but I’ll try. Let me have a look.” You said as you eyed him carefully. James had left to stand near the other 3 men in the room. You took his arm as you assessed the damage. Maybe you could do this. The wound didn’t look all that bad. “I think I can do this. It just, it will hurt, and I don’t have anything to numb the pain. In fact, I don’t have anything at all to work with.” You suddenly realised.
“Well I came somewhat prepared. Sam? Have you got the first aid kit?” He turned to one of the men. ‘Sam’ nodded and made his way towards you, handing you the first aid kit and making his way back to his original spot. This really was some strange operation.
“Like I said, this might hurt.” You sighed as you got to work.
**
“Okay. All done.” You said as you finished up the stitching. You were surprised at how little he flinched throughout the process. He must have one hell of a pain tolerance. “Take some paracetamol and ibuprofen when you get home. I really would suggest you go to an actual hospital to make sure I removed that bullet properly.” You said as covered the stitching with a bandage.
“Thank you very much. I’m sure I won’t be going to a hospital, not sure how I would explain a bullet wound without the police getting involved and what would I tell them? I’d have to tell them nurse Y/N helped me out in the first place.” He teased.
“Whatever, just please don’t sue me if you end up losing your arm.”
“I promise. Now how much would you like for what you have done. Name your price. It’s yours.”
“I don’t want anything. Just please don’t tell anyone what I did and try and stay out of trouble.” You sighed as you looked into his brown eyes. You really were tired now, thankful that you had a day off tomorrow, well today.
“I already promised that I wouldn’t say anything and as for staying out of trouble I’m afraid I can’t promise you that. But hopefully I won’t need your services like this again. Are you sure you don’t want any money?”
“I’m sure. It wouldn’t feel right to take money when I know I shouldn’t have done that. I really just want to go home and go to bed.”
“Whatever makes you feel better princess.” He said as he flashed you a genuine smile and that nickname made your stomach do things that you’d rather not think about. He wasn’t someone you should get mixed up with. That much you could tell.
“James? Are you coming?” You finally turned to your best friend and he just shook his head, saying that he had things to finish up there and with that you left. You fell into bed and as soon as your head hit the pillow you were asleep.
**
You woke up at around 12pm, having not gotten into bed until 3am and you were still feeling exhausted. You briefly wondered if last night was just a strange dream was just but you knew it wasn’t. You made your way downstairs and made yourself a coffee, yeah you were going to need caffeine to wake up today. You wandered into the living room where you saw James sat on the couch, he looked over at you.
“Y/N. Thank you so much for last night. I’m so fucking sorry that I dragged you into that, but I couldn’t let anything happen to him, he’s a very important man.” James rambled as you took a seat on the opposite end of the couch, sipping your coffee.
“I just want an explanation, James. It’s the least you can do.” You were still slightly pissed at him, but you knew he wouldn’t have risked you and your job if it wasn’t important.
“Okay. Look, I’m involved with the London ‘mob’ if you want to call it that. I’ve made it pretty far up in the ranks and that was my boss, the leader you saved last night. We were reclaiming some old territory when things went a little south and he got shot. I can’t thank you enough for what you did, and I promise I wouldn’t have gotten you involved if I didn’t have to.” He sighed. You’d stayed silent, taking in his words and you just sighed back.
“Listen, I’m still pissed but it’ll pass. I had a gut feeling you were involved in something illegal and I think you should get out if you can but please don’t get me involved like that again and we’ll continue to pretend that this never happened and you don’t do what you do for a living. The less I know the better.” James smiled at you as he hugged you.
“Thank you Y/N. You’re the best. I love you; you know that. I can deal with you being pissed; I deserve that much. I promise I’ll make it up to you, pizza for tea. I’m buying!”
Most people would say that you’d had a rather nonchalant response but honestly. You didn’t want to know more; he was your best friend and maybe you were trying to look the other way to protect your image of him or maybe you were still tired and your brain hadn’t quite caught up yet but you left it at that and he told you he was going to ‘work’ and off he went about his day as you started going about your own.
You’d just been for a shower when you heard a knock at the door. You hadn’t been expecting a visitor and assumed it was your friend who also had today off. You threw on your pyjamas which consisted of shorts and a tank top as you made your way to the door.
“You know Lizzy, you could’ve texted me before you decided to- “Your words were cut short as you opened the door. It wasn’t Lizzy at all, it was the man you’d helped last night, escorted by two other men that you didn’t recognise.
“If I had your number, I might’ve done sweetheart.” He said as he took in your attire. You suddenly felt self-conscious under his stare and wished you’d have grabbed your dressing gown.
“What are you doing here? How did you know where I live?” you asked him.
“My apologies but James said you lived together, and I know where all my staff live.”
“Okay, so what do you want?”
“I came to thank you properly for last night. You don’t want paying and I can’t take what you did for free.” He said as he watched you cautiously eye the two men that he’d brought with him. “Don’t worry about them, apparently I’m not aloud to go anywhere alone until my arm is healed. Mum’s orders and you know you don’t argue with your mother.” He said, trying to ease you, you still looked somewhat tense. “Can I come in? I’ll make them stay outside.” He asked and there was that genuine smile again. It made your stomach flip and you just nodded as you moved aside and let him in. Shutting the door rapidly as he crossed the thresh hold.
You hadn’t noticed his hands were full until he placed down a large box on your kitchen counter. “Do I want to know what’s in there?” You couldn’t help but ask.
“Well unless you’re allergic to anything in there, I wouldn’t be too concerned.” He teased. You made your way over and opened the box, it was full of god knows how many boxes of all different types of chocolate. “I did ask James and he said you loved chocolate so I thought I could repay you by starting there.”
“Well thank you but honestly I don’t want anything else. It’s not like you were on deaths door.” You joked back. Something about him set you at ease when it probably shouldn’t have.
“Well who knows? I might’ve lost my arm.” He laughed. You couldn’t help but laugh with him, it was almost contagious. “Tom by the way.”
“Wow. James didn’t call you Tom; I must be honoured.” You laughed.
“Well unlike James, you don’t work for me princess.”
“No, I suppose I don’t.”
“Cute pj’s by the way.” He teased as he eyed you again. You instantly wrapped your arms around yourself, feeling conscious under his stare, but not in a bad way, in a way that made your stomach flutter and heat rush to your cheeks.
“Um, thanks. Look, not to be rude but what do you want?” You asked as you locked eyes with him. God he was beautiful.
“I’d like to take you out to lunch, as a thank you. Don’t read too much into it.”
“Will you take no for an answer?”
“Not really darling.”
“Fine. Give me 10 minutes.” You laughed as you made your way upstairs to get changed.
**
He took you to a nice restaurant at the other side of town, it seemed expensive, but he didn’t seem to mind, it seemed like he knew everyone that worked there. He probably owned it; you came to realise. It was actually a lovely afternoon spent chatting and getting to know him. There were numerous times when you found yourself wondering how he ended up being part of a mob. He was sweet but every time you remembered what he did for a living you were reminded that you couldn’t let yourself go there.
**
“And where have you been?” James teased as you came through the door.
“Out.” You answered vaguely.
“With a certain brown eyed, brown haired mobster?”
“How did you know?” You asked, shocked.
“Well I know he was interested in how I knew you and then we didn’t see him again all day.”
“Right, well, he just wanted to say thank you.” You said as you joined him on the couch.
“Bullshit Y/N. I think he has a soft spot for you.” He continued to tease you. “I mean come on. He’s gorgeous.”
“It was just a thank you lunch!” You defended yourself. “Besides it wouldn’t be a good idea, you know with what he does for a living, if you want to call it that.”
“Yeah, but he could offer you protection and all the money you’d ever need. He might do illegal stuff but he’s not a complete monster Y/N.”
“James, please don’t go there.” You groaned as you took a slice of pizza from the box he’d ordered in.
“Okay, okay. I know that look though. That one you had when you came through that door. I just have one question for you.” He said as he laughed.
“What’s that?” You asked, mouth full of pizza.
“When are you seeing him again?”
You picked up the nearest pillow and hit him with it, mumbling a ‘fuck off’ as he laughed at you. You finished your night watching a movie before heading to bed, dreams of a curly haired, brown eyed boy flooding your dreams.
**
Two weeks passed before you saw Tom again. James had mentioned he wasn’t going to be in for the night, and you’d decided to read a book as there was a knock at the door. You made your way over and opened the door, there he was, alone this time.
“Déjà vu. I swear you had exactly the same thing on the last time you opened this door for me.” He laughed as he gestured towards your attire.
“I did. What are you doing here Tom?”
“I actually just came to see you.” He said as he made his way past you so you could close the door.
“And why’s that?”
“Look, I can’t stop thinking about Y/N. God knows I’ve tried but I can’t, and I know we hardly know each other but I’d like to change that.” He answered, he’d stepped slightly closer to you.
“Tom.” You sighed. “We shouldn’t. This isn’t a good idea, you know that right?”
“Trust me, I’ve been through this a thousand times since we last saw each other but I can’t help it. I think I like you, like a lot.” He said as he reached towards you, catching a strand of your hair as he played with the end of it. Your heart rate was starting to pick up at the closeness.
“Tom I-“
“I could give you everything and anything you want princess. I’d look after you and that’s a promise, I know my line of work is messy and comes with risks but I’m willing to risk everything for a chance with you.” He’d tucked the strand of hair behind your ear and placed his hand on your cheek, moving his face closer to yours, you could feel his breath on your lips.
“We shouldn’t” you whispered, although you knew you didn’t mean it. He just shook his head in agreement with you. Lips almost touching.
“If you don’t want to just tell me to stop.” He whispered against your lips. Your body moved before your brain could catch up and you connected your lips. It was like fireworks had exploded in your stomach. Your lips moved against each other as your fingers made their way into his curls, god they were soft.
He backed you up until your back hit the cool wall behind you, moving his hands to grip your hips. His tongue slid over your bottom lip asking for access which you gladly gave. Your tongues danced together like they were old dance partners. Knowing exactly how to move together and it made you moan slightly. You pulled back for a bit of air before his lips were back on yours. You’d never been kissed like this before. Almost as if he was trying to tell you everything through the kiss.
He tapped your thigh and you jumped, his strong arms instantly catching you as he pinned you further against the wall. Your mind was racing, this was possibly the hottest, most intense kiss you had ever engaged with. “Do you want to stop?” He mumbled against your lips. You only shook your head in response reconnecting your lips as he carried you through the flat, you directed him towards your bed room and the night was spent with you receiving the most amount of attention and pleasure you’d ever experienced with another human being.
**
You woke up with a warm arm wrapped around your waist, your mind flooded with the events of the night before. You smiled to yourself as you carefully removed his arm and made your way into the bathroom. You examined yourself in the mirror after having brushed your teeth and gasped at the large hickey that had been left on the sweet spot of your neck. You bit your lip and smiled. You threw on Tom’s shirt that he’d worn last night and some underwear, making your way into the kitchen. You boiled the kettle as you got two mugs out, lost in your thoughts you didn’t hear a second person enter the kitchen.
“Well someone looks happy.” James laughed as you lightly screamed and turned around to face him.
“James, I didn’t think you’d be back so soon.” You gasped, hand on heart as you waited for it to beat at a regular pace again.
“I recognise that shirt.”
“How can you recognise a white button up shirt?” You asked in disbelief.
He just laughed at pointed at the sleeve, you looked down and on the cuff of the shirt was ‘T.H’ embroidered in gold. Heat instantly rose to your cheeks.
“It’s none of your business!”
He threw his hands up in defence. “You’re right, it’s not. You look happy though, I’m happy for you.”
“I don’t- we haven’t spoken about it.” You sighed. Just as you spoke Tom walked into the kitchen, he smiled at you.
“I wondered where that had gotten to.” He laughed gesturing towards the shirt as he said morning to James. James shook his head and laughed.
“I’ll leave you two to it.” He grabbed his keys and wallet and walked out of the flat. Leaving you and Tom stood in the kitchen. He was shirtless and he looked good, you bit your lip as you looked at him.
“Morning princess.” He smiled as he wrapped you in a tight, warm embrace.
“We should talk about last night.” You mumbled against his chest. He sighed.
“Look, I meant what I said. All of it.” He kissed the top of your head. You pulled out of his embrace as you looked at him.
“I just- I know it might seem ridiculous because of last night but I want to take it slow. We should get to know each other. We don’t know enough about each other yet and last night, I don’t regret it but maybe we should take it back to step one.”
“Whatever you want princess. I promise I’ll look after you. I know my line of work bothers you and I hope that you can accept that it’s part of what I do but I understand if getting to know me more means that that is too much for you.” He said as he looked into your eyes. He was being vulnerable, honest and you knew you had to give him the chance. You’d regret it if you didn’t.
**
You went on dates and it would be three months before you found yourself in bed with him again. You fell hard and you fell fast for him. You ended up leaving your job in favour of becoming the woman who oversaw all of Tom’s books. He kept you safe and he loved you and made you feel more loved than you thought possible. Anything you wanted, you got. Anything you needed, you had. Anything you asked of him, done.
You never imagined that you’d end up dating a man on the wrong side of the law and being okay with it, being complicit in it but here you were. You married about three years in and nothing changed, he still made you feel the same way he had years prior. You had three beautiful children with him, and he was best, most loving father a child could hope for. You had two boys which he would do anything and everything for and your little girl well he doted on her completely, she was his little angel, couldn’t do a thing wrong in his eyes.
“You know I never thought I’d say this” he spoke one night as you were cuddled up in bed “but I’m actually thankful I got shot that night.”
“Most people wouldn’t be thankful for that Tom.” You teased him.
“No probably not. But I never would have met you had it not happened.” He said sincerely as he ran his fingers up and down your arm.
“No, you wouldn’t have. I’m always thankful I gave you the chance even if at the time I was wary.” You laughed as you kissed his chest.
“Admit it. I had you the second I kissed you and then gave you one of the best railings you’d ever had.” He teased which earned him a playful smack on the chest.
“Yeah that always helps.” You laughed as you rolled your eyes at him. You couldn’t be more in love with this man if you tried.
