You sat at the dinner table with your family, James at one end and your father, Sirius, at the other, Harry was seated next to you with Lily and your other father, Remus across from you both. While eating, you and Harry held hands under the table, everyone knew about the two of you and they all seen it coming before either of you did, it was the classic childhood friends to lovers scenario.

Everyone was chatting among themselves while you just enjoyed listening to the peaceful buzz and Harrys comforting touch. He was gently rubbing his thumb over your knuckles, moving them back and forth in a sweet, soothing rhythm. 

You twitched your nose a little, feeling an all so well warming sensation in your sinuses. Gently placing your fork down you squeezed Harrys hand 5 times to signal you were having a nosebleed. He reacts right away, reaching into his pocket and getting out a handkerchief for you

“Here love” he hands you the material, pressing a soft kiss to your temple as you hold it to your nose, his other hand moving to rub your knee until it passed

The rest of the family catches on soon enough, going into a little routine they had done many a time before. Remus went to fetch a damp cloth to clean you up, Lily goes to get you a clean jumper, James moves to go get the sweet early and Sirius scrapes his chair around to sit on your other side until it passes.

Your family was used to this, the first time it happened your normally cool and calm dad, Sirius, was running around thinking you were dying but now he just stayed with you, just in case.

The just in case had never happened, well until now. Usually the bleeds would last about a minute, two tops, but now everyone was back at the table, three minutes had passed and it hadn’t stopped yet

“Still going pup?” Remus asks worry lines on his face

You nod, head falling into Harrys chest for comfort but you were also starting to feel a bit woozy and unsteady. The extra blood loss had you feeling faint fast, eyes fluttering and your godmother noticed

“Y/n sweetie?” you continue to slip “I think she’s fainted” she says standing up and moving around while Harry tilts you head up to see your eyes are now closed

“Love” no response “Love” he repeats, tone much more panicked than the first

Harrys heart felt like it stopped, the tissue fell from your grip to the floor so he pulled on the sleeve of his jumper and used that to catch the bleeding

“I’ll call Dorcas” James says quickly, tone worried but clearly trying to keep it together

Remus and Sirius were by your side in an instant

“Harry let me take her into the Livingroom, she’ll be more comfortable on the couch” Remus says gesturing for Harry to release his grip

Harry squeezes you tightly before letting you go, his reluctance not lost on your fathers and their hearts warmed briefly. Remus scoops you into his arms, carrying you through into the next room

Harry wasn’t far behind when Sirius stopped him

“What?” he says breathlessly, head continuously darting in the direction of you

Sirius places his hands-on Harrys shoulders “You need to stay calm Harry” he says as composed as his voice will let him, it was clear from his pale face and glassy eyes your father was not alright 

“Calm she’s…she’s” he points backwards “The girl I…I…” his head falls into his hands rubbing his face, he was beyond worried, his head going to the worst scenarios

Sirius pulls him into a hug “I know and I’m worried too but we can’t help her if we panic okay?” he breaks away hands moving to his cheeks as he places a kiss to his forehead “Come on, Dorcas will be here soon, she’s the best healer we know”

You woke laying sideways on the couch. You felt fuzzy, hand moving to check your nose but there was no blood. How long hand you been out? As your eyes adjusted you saw it was now dark outside so you figured it must have been at least a few hours.

When you tried to sit up you felt your other hand being pulled down, looking over the couch you see Harry on the floor, a pillow under his head as he slept, worry lines still on his face as his hand clutches onto yours

“Sweetie” you hear Lily says softly “How are you feeling?” she asks, some bowls of ice-cream in her hands

You bob your head “Little light headed but a lot better” you look down at Harry “How long has he…” you start

“He never left your side” she says with a small smile “He really loves you” she says with a proud mum glance at her son

Your heart flutters looking down at him “I really love him too” you say truly

“These are charmed not to melt until the spoons break it” she gives you a warm smile, placing down the bowls next to the two spoons on the coffee table

“Thank you” you look around “Where are my dad’s?” you wonder

Lily lets out a quiet giggle “Jamie and them are all asleep in the next room, they were on the chairs but I made them move…I couldn’t convince him though” she gestures to her son

You nod “I’m still a little tired” you admit

She walks over, placing a kiss to your cheek “Sleep well sweetie” she says then leaves, heading to join your fathers and James

You shift off of the couch, bringing a pillow down along with the blanket. You lay down next to Harry, draping the cover over you both, the act causing him to stir

“Y/n” he says groggily before sitting up and looking at the couch “Y/n” he repeats a little louder and with alarm

You sit up cupping his cheeks and making him face you “I’m here Harry” you assure him

His hands grip yours then your face “You’re alright you’re okay?” he asks checking you

You nod “I’m okay” you give him a smile trying to pull him down to sleep “Let’s go to sleep”

He stops you “Promise me you’re alright” he asks you with the most serious tone you’ve ever heard from him “I can’t lose you, it’ll kill me”

Your heart ached, you felt bad at the torment he must have gone through “I’m not going anywhere, it...it was just a bad one” you give him a sad smile

He nods pressing a hard kiss to your forehead before resting his own there “I’m sorry…just gave me a bit of a scare” he confesses

“I know” you take his hand in yours “Come on let’s sleep”

You and he move to lay down, Harry manhandling you softly so your head lay on his chest, arms wrapping around you like you were going to disappear on him

“I love you so so much” he murmurs into your hair

You smile into his chest “Love you more” you say placing a kiss through the material of his shirt

“Not possible”

Thank you for the ask! Here we go:

Favorite female character? Ilia Penny Pyrrha Ruby Nora(!!!!) Emerald Weiss and most of all… maria😔she’s so fucking funny i loved her energy v6. Further explanations, Ilia has an adorable design, great voice actor and decent enough representation. Nora’s timeskip design was unmatched and she’s very quotable, plus her personality reminds me of one of my close friends irl. Ruby’s struggles in V9 (until they fucked that up) really hit with me as I’d gone through something very similar, and Penny… Penny just makes me happy. What they did with her makes me angry, but Penny makes me smile. :D

Favorite male character? I got a couple but at the moment it’s tied by Sun and Roman. Sun has fun energy and Roman is himself and iconic. Others are: James is hot and so is the bad bird BF he got by being autistic. Mercury is cool for the 5 seconds of screentime he gets every volume now. Tyrian and Watts got impeccable swag and the 5 hour long make out scene between the two of them was very interesting. Adam is cathartic and fun as hell to write my little meow meow. Jaune is best when he’s just a little loser dork, and Ren is very pretty.

Favorite Volume? Surprise surprise, Volume 3. I fucking love tournament arcs. I. Love. Tournament. Arcs.

Favorite Episode? That whole Apathy Arc in V6!!! Great horror in my opinion. I wish they’d show off more creative Grimm like that again. And as a side note, V6 is just… the best looking volume.

Favorite cast member? If they count, Jeff and Casey!! SUCH good music.

Favorite ship? *cracks knuckles* Freezerburn, Catmeleon, Monochrome, Schne//ekos, Pussy Magnet Purrah, Greek fire, nuts and dolts, Bees Schnees, Khali, Spicecream, Seamonkeys, Emercury, If there’s one between Ilia and Ruby put it here, Ginger Snaps, Arctic Winter, Silver Lotus, *looks at writings on my palm* Snow pines, Ironqrow, James x Oz, Crimsun, Strawbana, Nuts and Volts, and Rosebird. To name a few. Some might not be my favorites, these are just ones I like/like in concept. :) Character I’d die defending? Sienna fucking Khan. The whole White Fang, honestly. I do think protesting through violence against your oppressors is very swag and real actually. Plus she’s hot.

A character I can’t sympathize with? Uhhhhhh…… SALEM!!!!!!!!!! Cinder too ish but Salem mostly. Like, I feel a TINY bit bad, only because the gods are undeniably awful garbage horrible terrible. She still sucks though.

A character I grew to love? …Adam. I did not give a single shit about his decently attractive redhead ass until that reveal and his death in V6. He has become my blorbo; my skrunkly. My cringefail loser, my girly pop. Engrained within my brain like a silly silly worm. He’s fun to draw. Fun to write. REALLY fun to write. I can put him in so many situations. So many bittersweet, melancholic situations. And in so many outfits.

My Anti-otp? Ive got a couple.

Bumbl//Bee. Not my thing. Could have been, had they not continually tried making “Only disabled main character losing her arm” something “romantic” as well as paralleling said character to her partner’s… um… ex abuser? Hello?

Jaune: Next, you and Ren started arguing along with Yang and Ruby to where I had to break it up like last time. You left our team and when we got back after almost dying, no “Hi.”, “Hello” or at least some form of “I’m glad your here.”.

Jaune: And Ren I don’t know what the hell was wrong with you but you were tripping!

Ren: Um.

Jaune: Like I was trying to help you. I was trying to understand what was wrong but everytime---Everytime I try you be acting like Sasuke with a stick up your ass. Like I wasn’t into lying to James but we still did it. You still chose to keep the secret.

Ren: Hinse why I was upset.

Jaune: Then why didn’t you tell him? Hell, what were you doing to make things better? Cause I hate to break it to you brother but without me, your semblance is as useful as your upgraded weapon and skill set. Which is not high.

Ren and Nora: *sad*

Jaune: I’m just saying, where was the love? Cause I sure as hell didn’t feel it. In fact, ya’ll used me as a test dummy for the portals. Even though Emerald was there.

NRO: … … ….

Jaune: And this is why I wanted Ilia on our team. Hell, I regret killing Penny! Cause at least I can finally have someone to have my back. Something I can’t say for you three!

Ruby: Okay but still Neo is a trickster. What if she stabs you in the back?

Jaune: I’ll take my chances.

Yang: Why?!

Jaune: As the saying goes, “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.” Meaning Neo hates Cinder just as I do. So I can at least trust the fact that she wants her dead.

Neo: *nods in agreement*

Jaune: Emerald worked for Cinder especially so… how do you know she won’t sell you out if it means she keeps Cinder’s praise?

Ruby: That… is actually a good point. No matter. You will regret this Jaune.

Neo and Jaune start not talking to each other for now. After a few months of working together, Neo suddenly starts opening up to Jaune. Jaune even starts to make her laugh a few times. They then started spending time together as friends. Neo then proceeds to start talking to everybody though they had a hard time considering she’s a mute. Neo then continues showing everyone kindness however other than Jaune no one else believed it.

Jaune started appreciating more and more. This caused her to start valuing him to the point it started to feel weird. She decided to tell Nora about but as Nora started understanding what she was feeling she was shocked, happy, and yet angry that Jaune was right.

Nora: (Damn it.) Well… Neo, what your feeling maybe has to do with… … love.

Neo: *turns red*

Nora: (Ruby is most definitely not going to want to hear this. Her pride wouldn’t be able to take it.)

1: sexuality headcanon - I HC James as a disaster gay lolz how can I not with how many bitter exe's he has?

2: otp - IronQrow for sure. I just love their dynamic as a grumpy old married couple that loves each other very much. They trust each other without question at least until volume 8 and I love that for them. Yes the hug made me ship em but now that I do the scene where Qrow looks ready to kill when he see's the grimm going after James? *chefs kiss* The couple that slays together stays together.

3: brotp - James and Glynda. I just see them as really good friends who like to poke fun at each other and will argue and disagree but would fight to defend the other no matter what.

4: notp - quiet a few lolz but I'll say probably James x Robyn just no please no lolz. She constantly tears into him without knowing the full story and to me it feels like an unhealthy dynamic.

5: first headcanon that pops into my head - I 1000000% HC James doesn't sleep well most nights. Be it either nightmares or phantom pains or just general discomfort he just has a lot of trouble getting a full nights rest which just fuels his workaholism. In his mind what's the point of trying to get a full nights sleep if he won't get it anyways?

6: favorite line from this character "You have two choices. Defend your kingdom and your school or save yourselves. No one will fault you if you leave." It's no nonsense, it's letting them know how bad the situation is while also showing them kindness and understanding and recognizing they are still students and this is not something they should be expected to be dealing with yet. It is just the perfect example of who he is as a person. He doesn't beat around the bush, but he is still kind.

7: one way in which I relate to this character (too many) the biggest thing I relate to though is just how exhausted and stressed he is in volume 7. I was in management during the height of COVID so like I painfully understood the struggle of trying to keep everyone happy and everyone accusing you of not doing enough then turning around and saying you're going to far and doing too much regarding the exact same thing. The constant battle of never being good enough and everyone hating you for just trying to do your best in a hellish situation is just....something I went through and seeing James go through the same thing in volume 7 hurt and was painfully relatable.

8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character. His speech to the mains when he gives them their licenses. He is so awkward and the way he temporarily errors out when they don't react how he expects is just painfully relatable.

9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave? He's a problematic fav for sure but the best characters I say are. He made mistakes (understandable ones but still) he's flawed but still a good person at heart what can I say I love that. Pre volume 8 he was a genuinely caring person trying to navigate surviving a war and yea as I said he's not perfect but he's trying and sometimes that's all you can do.

do you have any voice headcanons for Antares? how they talk, stuff like that?

Okay well here’s the characters that I think would keep the voices similar to what they have in show, because the performances given were excellent and really defined the character to me. The cadence, the tone, all that, these ones work well.

Winter, Ironwood, Tyrian, Watts, Salem, Hazel, Oscar, Ozpin, the Ace Ops are all solid, Robyn, Whitley, Sienna, Raven, Mercury, Vernal.

So here's the ones I'd mess with:

Ruby: I’d want to still have her sound light and innocent, but I’d definitely make her way less squeaky then she was in the show. A voice that can still have a bit of grit, if she needs it. I’m picturing something like Dani Phantom in Danny Phantom, or X-23 in x-men evolution (Andrea Libman’s version). Childish but able to get dangerous.

Weiss: definitely something posh but not necessarily snooty. She should have a very clear voice, one that’s clearly been through a million dictation lessons and speaks quite musically at that. Pick a soprano broadway singer, go from there.

Blake: I think she’d probably have the deepest voice of the main four girls? Not raspy, but resonant. Able to soften up, I picture something like Vi from Arcane or Korra from Legend of Korra.

Yang: Not as deep as Blake’s voice, but definitely with a bit of grit to it that gives her that tough vibe. Where Blake has resonance, Yang does have rasp. Sorta Ryuko Matoi-esque, or like Amethyst from Steven Universe.

Qrow: as much as I like Jason Liebrecht’s work I don’t think he works quite as well for Qrow, which is not anything against him just the voice doesn’t fit as much as I’d prefer. I’ve always felt Qrow should have a voice with a deeper register anyway, so I’d be picking a performance like Wolverine from X-Men Evolution, or Ghazan, Legend of Korra.

Sun: I really like Lego Monkie Kid and all the voice actors are great, I just can’t decide if Sun gets MK’s voice (younger, peppy, excited, also Sokka) or Monkey King’s (equally peppy, a little more deep, a bit tricksy, also Goku).

Ilia: I think Cherami Leigh’s voice acting is great (maybe she can be Blake?) but my Ilia is a bit younger and a lot softer so I’d want her to have more of a higher voice, to contrast Antares-Blake’s lower register. Something that still cracks, a bit like Luz from Owl House, mayhaps, or Marcy from Amphibia.

Summer: if any of you have watched Critical Role 3 Bells Hells and have listened to Ashley Johnson’s voice for Fearne, that’s it exactly. Really soft and breathy and gentle, really distinctive from the rest of the cast.

Tortuga: Tortuga had a very deep voice compared to the other Ace Ops, but not gravelly. Not quite on the levels of like, James Earl Jones, but more like Keith Davids in his Dr Facilier role, able to be quick but with gravitas.

Cinder: needs to be huskier, definitely able to have charisma behind it rather than risking sounding childish, or whiny. I picture something like Meg from Hades or Lust from FMA.

Jaune: I think he’d have one of the higher pitched voices of the male cast? Definitely a tenor, speaks fast and nervously, I picture kinda like Martin Blackwood’s voice from the Magnus Archives (I have no idea what anyone’s accents are and I don’t want to think about it), or Rocky from Lackadaisy.

Nora: super high pitched and nasally, but really sweet and cute nonetheless. I’d say kinda like, Molly from Epithet Erased, or Ivy, Lackadaisy again.

Pyrrha: I think she should have the most standard teenager voice? She deserves it, she deserves normal and not exceptional. I picture, like Gwen Stacy from Spiderverse, or Wendy from Gravity Falls?

Ren: a very subdued, almost monotone voice, its not necessarily particularly low or high, but could totally drop down to something very menacing if pushed. I’m thinking, like, a chilled out version of Percy from Vox Machina, with that same ability to go right down into a danger zone.

Emerald: what if we took Cherami Leigh's Ilia voice and just moved it here what then? Other options I think would suit her would be something like Miriam from Dragon Age (Kimberly Brooks is always a win)

Penny: If Nora was high pitched I think Penny should sound like a literal child, on account of Pietro really leaning into the 'innocent little girl' thing when he was downloading voice clips to make into her synthesizer- or, hear me out: Penny voiced by a vocaloid.

More than your semblance (Qrow Branwen x Reader)

This is a pretty angsty fic and CONTAINS VOL 7 SPOILERS.

Synopsis: You try to comfort Qrow while in prison- basically just a rewrite of the prison scenes in volume 7, but make it a lovely little Qrow x reader fanfic. This may be a multiple part series Warnings: Strong language, mentions of death, mentions of alcohol abuse

"This is your fault. You realise that don't you?" The voice comes from the cell next to yours. The sound of Robyn's pacing filled the solemn silence of the room, and as you looked to your left, you saw Qrow staring at something in his hands. "All I wanted was to bring people together. To give them a chance at a better life. But you..."

"Me?" You hear a voice that brings a visceral feeling of rage and hatred with just a simple syllable. Great. Not only were you imprisoned by the Atlas Military, but you were stuck in a room with Jacques Fucking Schnee. You were somewhat grateful that you were here with Qrow but something seemed... off with him. You could usually distinguish the differences in each of Qrow's brooding expressions, but this one was new. He looked like someone had ripped his entire soul apart. There was no emotion in his eyes and that worried you.; you both had seen numerous things on your missions together that no amount of drinking could make you forget, but the huntsman seemed as if he had seen something worse than anything you had encountered.

"Qrow," you softly call, he gives you a soft hum in response. "What happened back there? At the crash?" Qrow freezes. He fiddles with whatever is in his hands and doesn't look up at you.

"And although my hands may not be clean, at least I am not a murderer!" You hear Jacques call out in response to Robyn's comments. What was he trying to insinuate? That Robyn was a killer? Robyn stopped pacing and looked at Qrow. Why would she look at Qrow? What did he-?

"He didn't kill anybody." You couldn't quite comprehend what was happening here. You knew he was an asshole but Jacques wasn't the type of man to blatantly accuse someone of murder. So why now? What exactly happened out there? You had now tuned out of the finger-pointing between Hill and Schnee and just stared at Qrow. He knew you were looking at him. You had to have hated him now. You must see him as a monster now. He couldn't bring himself to look up and meet once kind eyes now filled with hatred.

"Qrow, look at me." No answer. "Qrow." He didn't look up. HE just kept looking at whatever was in his damn hands. "QROW, LOOK AT ME DAMNIT!" The outburst took the huntsman by surprise and he finally looked up at you. Your eyes were glossed over as if you were about to cry. Not tears of hatred. Tears of concern, of fear. "Just tell me what happened." Your voice was quiet, timid; searching for an answer and praying it was the one you were hoping for. Qrow isn't a killer. Sure, you two have killed in the past but it was necessary means. Qrow was not the type of man to kill unless it was a last resort.

"I-" Qrow started, but was quickly interrupted by an alert sound and the opening of doors. Three Atlas guards walked in, guns in hand to collect... Authur Watts? What did they need him for?

"You do realise you've already caught me?" He quips, and receives a hard strike to the head from one of the guards, if you were not currently locked up in this fucking chicken coup- you'd be laughing at the sight. You watched them drag his pathetic self out of the room, only turning away when you hear a sigh from Robyn.

"I hate not being able to do anything."

"We can do something." Qrow responds, "We can kill the man who put us here." Qrow's voice is laced with pure rage. His words shock you.

"Kill James? I don't know what the hell happened between you two but you can't just say shit like that!"

"Really? 'Good Ol Jimmy' doesn't seem to think that's the case. Or did you not hear what my niece said? He's going to destroy Mantle. All to protect this floating piece of shit."

"I'm- I don't know what to think of it. James was never the one to simply abandon ship like this. There has to be some meaning behind all this!"

"How do you do that?" Qrow sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose and lying back on the 'bed' in his cell.

"What?" You snap, frustrated with him

"Always look for the best in people- even if they're a lost cause." You hug yourself at this comment.

"You make it seem like I'm naive, Birdbrain" You joke lightly

"You aren't. Your ability to show kindness is admirable. It's one of the things I love about you" He smiles, You at him in shock,

"Can we skip the romantics, please? I'd like to spend however long I have left in here without hearing your vexing voices" Jacques comments from across the room. You start to walk towards the wall keeping you and the weasel apart.

"What did you mean before, Schnee?" You asked sternly, "When you called Qrow a murderer?"

"I meant exactly what I said." He responded. "Qrow Branwen murdered Clover Ebi in cold blood."

"I didn't kill him, asshole." Qrow choked out quietly. You turned to your partner.

"Then what happened Qrow?" You asked

"What always happens" Qrow clutches the object in his hand tightly. "My semblance fucked everything up again."

"It wasn't your fault" Robyn chimes in

"It was though," Qrow sighs "I made a deal with the darkness, and he paid the price. It was all happening so fast but Clover wouldn't let up. We could've worked together against Tyrion if Clover just-" he swallowed the lump in his throat "But the thing that really stings? For the first time in a while, I thought 'Maybe- Maybe I could be around somebody, anybody without my semblance making it... complicated." Qrow finally looks up, only to look at you. "And now, it just feels like a childish dream. Gone. Like everybody else." He looks away from you again. There is a heavy silence for a while.

"I'm still here Birdbrain." You say, walking to stand close to the barrier between the two of you. "And I'm not leaving anytime soon."

"You can't promise that. My semblance-"

"You are more than your semblance." You interrupt, "You are not a bad luck charm, Qrow. You are a strong, kind, funny but deeply troubled man. I wish you would just let someone in, let someone who loves you take care of you for once." You started to tear up at your words, "Let me in Qrow." Hot tears started to stream down your face. Qrow was about to speak but was yet again stopped by the opening of doors. The guards drag in Arthur and lock him in a cell again. The guards are joined by Marrow and Harriet.

"You don't get to keep that" Harriet snaps at Qrow, his hand was no longer clasped around the object in his hand and now you could finally get a look at what it was he was so attached to.

It was Clover's pin. Covered in... was that Clover's blood?

"I didn't kill him."

"Hmph, you keep saying that, but it was your weapon covered in his blood."

"If you really want to know what happened, Mohawk," Robyn chimes in, "Why not open this cell and take my hand?" She challenges Harriet, only to earn a smug chuckle in return.

"If I open this cell, it won't be to shake hands."

"Yeah, because you don't care about the truth. You just want someone to be mad at." Robyn scoffs.

"Easier than taking an honest look at what side you're fighting for." You add. To this, Harriet lets out an angry grumble, looking at the keypad on Robyn's cell, as if she was considering actually accepting Robyn's challenge.

"Har, what are you doing?" Marrow calls out.

"Nothing," Harriet responds with a scoff, shoving past the Faunus boy to leave. Once all the guards leave, Robyn goes to lie on her bed.

"Well, that was... almost exciting."

"Might have had some actual entertainment," you joked. Qrow lets out a small chuckle.

"And he smiles! Did we win?" Robyn teases.

"Hey, it's your game. I don't make the rules," Qrow responds melancholily.

"Way to be cheery, Featherboy" You quip, Robyn chuckles at the nickname.

"Featherboy?" Qrow questions, fighting back a small smile.

"Seem's fitting doesn't it?" you say, laying on your side on the brick of a bed, facing Qrow.

"Whatever you say, dumbass." He jokes back, he still has a sad tone to his voice, but his face is a little brighter. You just let your eyes memorise every bit of his face while you slowly drift off to sleep, the sight of his stubble, his crimson eyes, his greying hair and the soft curve of his lips seem to comfort the deep feeling of dread in the pit of your stomach.

“Probably but let’s not mention this to Re…Moony just yet. He got the good chocolate yesterday and he won't give us any if finds out what we were using our new abilities for today”

You giggle nodding “That’s if he and Siri leaves us any…what?” you eye your friend

“Nothing, just cute you call him Siri” he mocks you and that earns him a playful shove

“Fuck off” you whine “He’s my boyfriend now…oh my god Jam…Prongs” you jump up and down “Sirius Black is my boyfriend!” you say excitedly, still in disbelief that you and he were really together

James lets out a laugh “Hell yeah he is” he wraps his arm around you “I’d say you’re a lucky gal but let’s face it he’s a lucky man…dog…pup?”

You and James are in fits of giggles as you enter the boy’s dorm, but they fizzle out when greeted with Remus on his bed looking a little worried

“You okay mate?” James asks while your eyes search the room for Sirius

“Where’s…” you start only to hear the sound of retching coming from the bathroom “Is that?” you look towards Remus

When he nods you run through into their bathroom, finding Sirius hunched over on the floor, turning to look up at you as you close over the door behind you

“Darling please go wait outside…” he sucks in a breath “…I don’t want you to see…” he can’t hold it in, turning to continue throwing up in the toilet, hands clutching the edges of the bowl, knuckles turning white

You quickly move next to him, pulling his hair from his face and holding it back with one hand “I’m not going anywhere” you kiss his temple

His breathing is heavy when he finally stops and looks back up at you, face chalk white “Still fancy me?” he jokes

You nod “Very much…but I’m going to kiss your forehead because well…” you scrunch your nose and bob your head, making him chuckle as you kiss his hair line

“Don’t blame you darlin” he shifts back onto his butt and as you let go of the make shift pony tail you shuffle over to wrap your arm around him

“You feeling a bit better now pup?” you test the waters with the nickname, heart fluttering as his ears literally pick up at it

He gives you a lazy toothy grin “Call me that again?” he sucks on his bottom lip for a moment

“Call you what?” you reply coyly, grabbing a spare hand towel and wetting it

He huffs at that

“Don’t tease me when I’m sick” he pouts, arms hugging himself

You cup his jaw “I’m so sorry puppy” you smile at his giddy reaction as you gently wipe the sick from the corners of his mouth and chin

“You should be a nurse” his hand gently caresses your knee “Everyone would fancy you” 

You shy away at the complement, placing the towel up and over the sink “Would they now?” 

“They would, almost as much as I do” he scoots closer to you, head nudging into your armpit like he’s trying to get you to move, humming when you lift it up and slither it around his shoulders

“What happened?” your free hand goes to his stomach “Just a tummy bug?” you kiss his hair

He shakes his head “I think I have an incline…well a theory based off of a joke Re…Moony made” he lets out a nervous chuckle and you can feel his cheeks heating

“What would that be?” you lean forward to look at him, pressing your lips together as you are meet with your boyfriend’s big beautiful puppy eyes “Sorry but before you tell me” you bring your hand from his stomach to his cheeks and squish them “You’re so pretty puppy” you tease softly before retracting your hand

His cheeks are pink but his eyes let you know he fricking loved that

“I am your pretty puppy” he nods sincerely before his eyes widen mouth opening and closing as he grows flustered “D-did…I said that out loud, didn't I?” he closes his eyes

“You did” you place a kiss to his nose and he opens his eyes “I kinda like you like this” you confess

“I kinda like me like this too” he admits “Don’t tell…”

“My lips are sealed” you pretend to lock them 

He smiles thankfully at you before his face contorts

“You going to be sick again?” 

He shakes his head “No just tired and I have a headache now” 

“You wanna lie down?” you offer "We can cuddle?"

“In a bit darlin the tiles are cold and my arse feels nice right now” 

You giggle but nod at his reasoning, gently rubbing his lower back before he removes your hand and places the other around to the front

“So what is the theory?” you circle back to the cause of his sickness

“You remember when R...Moony made a joke about you walking around eating a raw carrot out of the blue like that bunny from those muggle cartoons?” you nod slowly “Well what if I’m sick because dogs aren’t supposed to have chocolate?” he poses

Your eyes widen, sitting back a second as it processes in your mind. It made perfect sense, no wonder Peter loved cosy blankets and little nooks to sleep in now, why you and James had suddenly started eating anything green, why Sirius was acting like a puppy at times

…like how you were currently giving him a belly rub...

“I think you’re right” you let out a tiny giggle “Aww puppy” you coo, taking his hand in when he seems upset

“Can’t believe I need to give up chocolate” he sulks “Fucking stupid...this is karma I swear for raiding his stash so often...what am I going to eat now”

You did find his pouting and complaining rather adorable

“Maybe we can find you a stick to replace it with” you tease

He scoffs “You’re mean” he lets out the smallest of chuckles

“You’re laughing”

“Am not” he tries to supress his smile and laughter but fails “Fine” he caves “But seriously why does the idea of a stick to chew on sound so appealing?” he whispers 

You bite back laughter

“If you want tomorrow when you're feeling better we go to the forest and I can throw one for you to fetch” you offer

“100% serious?” he checks, making sure this isn't a joke

You nod “100% you yes” you giggle, more so as he hugs you tightly

“Merlin I’m so happy you’re my girl, no one else would understand or put up with me”

Meanwhile in the next room

“Why are you smiling?” James eyes Remus, a small smile on his face at his friend’s ecstatic look

“You remember when I was totally against you lot becoming animagi?” he replies, almost doing a little dance 

“Yeah?” James extends the syllables

“I’m not as mad anymore” he says, eyes flicking to his chocolate stash
