Mimic Chapter 24

The aftermath of the license exam brings unexpected secrets to be revealed and trust to be tested.

Hero and Villain. Good and Evil. Society has painted a clear picture of the two. Be seen agreeing to the villains and you’re seen as a sympathizer, show mercy as a villain and you’re seen as a traitor. Two men on the further side of each scale. The true hero and the true villain are destined to battle till heroes prevail or villains rise up. All while sharing the past of one that created the quirk for the other. All For One and One For All. The power to take and give and the power of its past users.

“This place is so restrictive…All Might.” The true villain says chained like a wild animal though lacking eyes is almost glaring into the true hero.

“Say..my back gets itchy, so I try to scratch it against the chair. In that instant, the turrets all around the room lock on to me. They’re constantly monitoring m vital signs and brain waves. The second I even think about using a quirk…my life is forfeit.” All For One says the prison he is trapped in with the slightest sign of resistance leads to a bullet in the head.

“Deep underground. Constantly monitored. Guarded by layer upon layer of security…it’s how they dispose of the broken, like me. Our society calls this place Tartarus, from greek mythology. It’s the name of a deity representing hell itself. Even I would have a tough time struggling against this particular god.”

“No. You can’t get out at all.” All Might says sat across from the villain a pane of glass probably strong enough to withstand a missile separating him from his enemy. The old hero costume of his younger hangs from his body like when a child wears clothes that are too big for him. A sign to say he is still a hero despite having no quirk run through his veins.

“Believe what you want. Why have you come?” All For One says, “Where’s Gran Torino? Or are you on your own? I assume the costume is your way of clinging to lingering regrets? Or no, don’t tell me…you’re still playing the hero?” He grins at the cold face of the former hero.

“You talk too much.”

“Humor me!” He laughs, “I haven’t had a real conversation in what feels like forever.”

“Where is Shigaraki?” All Might cuts to the chase done with the stupid formalities his enemy has put up, his way of trying to get any reaction out of him whether it be annoyance or anger.

“Dunno.” He says, “Unlike yours, my chick has left the nest.” A grin grows on his face, “Well, one seems to admit to leaving the nest. Tell me do you sense it?” All Might clenches his fist under the table, he was well aware of the divide growing between you and himself. He thought everything was going until that one night. He was with Aizawa discussing the plans for the summer when Young Iida had rushed in, breathless and frantic. He felt his heart stop hearing your name come through his lips and then seeing you. Frozen in your mind as you seized while Young Todoroki scarred your skin to get you to awake. Then it was when you stood before him just mere feet away but what felt like miles apart.

“My last name is Shimura…isn’t that right All Might?”

“I wouldn’t keep secrets from you…You’re someone I trust.”

You had said that to him, he could feel it…through the ghost feeling of One For All or just as a man watching their child grow up, but this growth is cold and a split forms. You knew he could tell. About your quirk, about Shigaraki, who you were and who you were meant to be. And as it gets wider and wider until it can’t handle it,

“As would I, Young Shimura.” He wasn’t.

And it snaps.

“You were there. Every time…she grows stronger as she always was meant to be because of me pulling further from the light you so desperately try to keep her in. She fears it less and less, the more she accepts it the more fearful you’ve become.” All For One says and All Might glares at him

“I’m not fearful of her strength.”

“Oh, but you are!” All For One laughs, “You can’t handle it, you die inside seeing her use my power and not yours. Seeing Nana Shimura’s grandchild wield your sworn enemy’s quirk makes you cringe. If you could have her never use her quirk just so she didn’t become me you would have done it already.” All Might looks down at his hands, his sworn enemy knew exactly what buttons to press.

Every time you used any quirk regarding All For One he couldn’t help but be fearful, what if you slip up and All For One gains control. Or what if you leave. Find Shigaraki and join him, reunite with your brother and let All For One fester and grow until you become unstoppable alongside Shigaraki.

“What do you? What did you want?” All Might says, “You surpassed your human limits. You might have lived forever with that body…instead, you squandered your gifts on manipulation. Exploitation. Toying with people. What did you hope to achieve?”

“This is hardly a productive discussion.” He says, “I could tell you, but you’d never accept it. There are always people who just refuse to understand. We’re the same. You and I. You looked up to heroes who stood for justice…while I looked up to the devil. Simple as that. I held on to my ideals…and acquired the power to embody them. I would have spared no effort to live forever in a world shaped by those ideals.”

“So why set up a successor..?” All Might says, there had to be a reason for All For One to collect both you and Shigaraki has the boy become a successor and you some kind of vessel.

“Really? You’re asking me that?” All For One cackle as it fills the empty room, “I love it! Because you stole everything away from me, of course!! Look at this body. These tubes are the only things keeping me alive. My ideals had unlimited potential until you put an end to my designs.”

“When people know the end is near they leave legacies. Think about it. All the houses and buildings are everywhere. Even the food we choose to eat would be different. It all passes from one person to the next. I was just trying to do what everyone else does.”

“Three more minutes, All Might..” A voice from the speakers calls out and that seems to make All For One frantic.

“No, Wait! You can’t do this to me. I want to talk. More…” He seems to pause before relaxing, “Ah, right of course. I imagine society is shocked by your sudden retirement. But how’re things going really?”

“There’s an embargo on all information from the outside world. We ask you to divulge anything carelessly…” The same voice from the speaker breaks in on the conversation.

“Right.” All Might nods and All For One frowns,

“What a shame…But…I have a hunch. Right about now, the media’s probably going on about how concerns over your retirement and the people’s reticence to accept your replacement, Endeavor, warrant a renewed unification of hero society. Meanwhile, others can sense the growing unease. Those in the shadows who never really supported heroes are starting to mobilize. They’re teaming up, thinking that they, too, have a shot at changing how the world works.” All For One says,

“I’m sure Tomura and his people are still lying low…waiting and getting a good look a the other groups rising to power, hoping to spread their influence. And I bet some of those villain groups are even butting heads. That’s probably how things are at the moment right? Assuming all my machinations are going according to plan. Let’s keep in mind, though that it’s really all thanks to your retirement and the public face you used to wear.”

“But you can’t save people anymore, “All For One grins feeling the growing anger coming from All Might, “All you can do is watch in horror at the explosion of villain activity that you caused. I picture you living out your remaining years cursing your own powerlessness. But tell me, really…How does it feel?” The sudden movement from All Might as the chair screeches back.

“That’s close enough, All Might.” The voice warns him, the tension between the two thick.

“Yes. People get angry when their true feelings are perceived! Yet here you are, unable to even punch me. What a shame.” All For One grins seeing the frustration in her nemesis.

“Don’t assume you’re the only one who understands… And I know every thought in your head too… Shigaraki’s related to my predecessor. And you’ve spurred him to kill me and the boy too. Is that the plan?” All Might says

“So?” All For One says.

All Might thinks back to what Gran Torino said, “Find him and what? If you’re seeing him as anything less than a villain, no good can come of it. No matter his parentage, he remains a vicious criminal.”

“I won’t die. I won’t let Shigaraki kill me. I won’t let myself be killed! The future in store for this world isn’t the one you want!” All Might says a declaration to All For One and himself. All For One frowns before almost seeming distracted before a grin grows on his face.

“I wouldn’t be so certain All Might. You try so hard to keep those two children close to you to protect them. But you can’t put all your attention into your successor if you are torn between two and the second you let your hold go of her. That is when I will swoop in and claim her as my own. She was smart to leave my grasp the first time but the more she accepts All For One the easier it will be for Shimura to become Shigaraki…” All For One says and the look on the man before him confirms all his secrets and fears.

“And it seems like it has already begun… I would keep your toys close to you. Wouldn’t want to lose them, especially something so fragile and already so close to breaking.” The grin of pure insanity and evil shakes the hero to his core because All Might knew, the cracks that had formed, the distance, his closer connection to the Midoriya than you, and the secrets he’s kept from you. It would be so easy for you to find the truth and leave U.A, leave the heroes, leave him.

“All Might. Time’s up. Please exit.” The voice speaks and the doors behind him open.

“This future you foresee…I’ll smash it! As many times as it takes.” All Might gives one last look at his enemy before heading towards the door, “You’ll be the one watching in horror while you live out your remaining years.

Left in the solitude of the hell forced onto the true villain he stares back at where the once true hero stood. A chuckle comes from him, how naive he believes he is. Anger that is not his own growing stronger within All For One from the other user makes the original user grin. It was beginning.

“Remaining years. Right…”

“Meet me out front later. We gotta talk about your quirk. Yours as well Shimura.”

Forced to join unless your secret is revealed you kept a harsh glare on Bakugo’s back as you followed after him. The night sky illuminated your walk with the occasional streetlamp, the cool breeze created goosebumps along your arms only dressed in a t-shirt and leggings your sneakers crunch under the rocks along the rock and leaves from some of the trees.

“Kacchan..! How far are we going?” Midoriya calls out he was in the back following the two of you, “We’re not supposed to be out a night…” Bakugo’s silence seems to silence the younger boy as the three of you continued to walk.

“Gound Beta…” Midoriya says as the three of you stood in the city-like landscape Bakugo had his back to the two of you his hands stuffed in his pockets.

“I fought you here during our first battle training. It’s where I lost to you. And I’ve felt like crap about it ever since… A worthless, quirkless wonder like you..somehow got into U.A, of all places. And somehow got a quirk of his own.” Bakugo says, did he figure out Midoriya and One For All if so then it would be next to impossible to figure out the truth of your quirk and everything,

“You were always the little weirdo, spouting cryptic crap…and making that face like you were the only one in on the joke. Climbing higher and higher. Since the whole sludge thing...Nah..since All Might first came to town…High and higher and higher. And now you’ve got your license. While I don’t. I mean, what the hell seriously?” Bakugo says anger at himself and Midoriya but you were just annoyed if he was going to spend all night complaining you were just going to leave.

“If you’re going to keep complaining-” “I wouldn’t say it necessarily reflects our actual abilities-”

“Will you two shut up and listen, you dumbasses!!” Bakugo yells at the two of you, you roll your eyes while Midoriya apologizes. The blonde looks to the ground kicking the pebbles,

“This whole time...I’ve felt crappy about it. It’s been pissing me off. But then…after the business in Kamino, I got this idea. See I’ve been thinking that…you’ve got your quirk from All Might.” He says looking straight at Midoriya who tenses up. Here was the truth.

“Y’know that big bad villain boss? Apparently, he can suck up quirks to use or just give away. Hard to believe but when we know someone with a similar quirk…” He says turning his gaze from Midoriya to you, “It was impossible, that one cat lady lost hers and can’t be a hero anymore. Then there’re those freaking Nomu things with multiple quirks…So I’m pretty darn sure. All Might and Boss Mook seemed to know each other.”

Bakugo keeps his gaze on you, “Seemed like he knew you pretty well huh...Shimura or do you prefer L/n. Makes sense why Shigaraki seemed all friendly as well with you.”

“We know it’s possible to transfer quirks. And we know that wasn’t the first time those two met. Then there’s your whole ‘I got it from someone else’ thing. When you met All Might…that’s when everything changed. And All Might lost his strength you were the only one who understood him differently.” Bakugo says looking back at Midoriya, “All Might himself wouldn’t gimme a straight answer…so I’m coming to you..” He finishes with Midoriya who is silent, not sure what to say or do before he turns to face you again.

“And you…I don’t know where to begin, from day one you were something different we all thought you just had a copying quirk, you could copy anyone’s quirk. You were normal. But then the USJ happened, then the mall, Kamino, and even now. You never were normal. Shigaraki knew you and know of us questioned it, you told everyone you didn’t know your childhood but you did. How long I don’t know.” He says shaking his head before looking up at the sky,

“Then at Kamino that wasn’t you, it was as if someone was controlling you. You looked at me as if you never met me. You fought against yourself, told whoever was controlling you to stop. That villain was doing all of it, he called you Shimura, he used you like a puppet you shared something with him I couldn’t understand until now. In training when you used his quirks, some that you have never seen him use. What you told Midoriya. That you have two quirks and your relation to Shigaraki. How long were you going to keep this from everyone? Were you going to wait it out until you found him or something?”

“Why does it matter..” You say and he looks back at you to be greeted by your cool gaze, “You heard it yourself already want me to clarify? Shigaraki is my brother. My grandmother was All Might’s old mentor. Midoriya and I share the same quirk. All For One gave me his quirk and I’m destined to destroy society as he uses me like a puppet and I can do nothing about it.” You say your voice was light as if this heavy news was just casual conversation.

“I’m a walking time bomb Bakugo and I’ve just stopped caring. I try to fight against him he could easily take over, I try to find Shigaraki I get arrested as a traitor. So tell me what should I do, huh. All I can do is keep fighting against everything cause the second I stop, I lose.” You say and he is quiet and you glance over at Midoriya.

“And that hero you so look up to Midoriya is nothing but a lying scumbag who rather keep you in the dark for his benefit. Are you really ready to die for him when the time comes?” You say and Midoriya looks away his heart straining.

“Nothing to say Midoriya..you aren’t going to deny it?” Bakugo says and Midoriya looks at the blonde.

“If I tell you..what then? You also look up to All Might. Hm? Ain’t that right?” Midoriya says and Bakugo scoffs.

“So here I’ve got this punk I thought was a pebble in my path all of a sudden getting recognized by the guy I admire..and some walking time bomb who’s too blinded by their past to see what’s right in front of them. Which is why…we’re gonna fight. Here. Now!”

“Why?!” “I’m fine kicking your ass.” The two of you say at the same time one more frantic the other ready to get the show on the road.

“Huh?! Wait, why’s it have to be like that?! I mean we’re not even s’posed to be out here, to begin with! At the very least...we could go spar in a training room! There’s no reason it has to be now.” Midoriya tries to calm the situation but you two were already set on a path.

“If we fight all out here, nobody can stop us...You gotta show me just what it is about you…that made All Might wanna bring you this far.” Bakugo says and Midoriya looks over at you to try to reason with you but you cross your arms looking back at him,

“I’m not going to fight alongside you Midoriya neither am I with Bakugo.”

“Better get ready if you don’t wanna get hurt. You’re all about kicking now, right?” Bakugo says stretching his arms out while you crack your wrists focusing on your breathing.

“W-WAIT!! WE CAN’T DO THIS!” Midoriya yells out but Bakugo is already sending an explosion towards him sending a right hook which Midoriya quickly dodges now up in the air.

“You think too much, y’know... COME AT ME!!” Bakugo yells when something latches onto his leg and flings him across the road and he hits the ground rolling a bit before stopping scratches on him. Bakugo looks back seeing you standing your hand out the black and red rivets returning from your fingers.

“You’re too blindsided with anger to see someone else attacking you.” You say and Midoriya hits the ground next to you.

“Thank you-” Midoriya goes to thank you when a quick attack of ice has him jumping out of the way and he looks at you shocked.

“We’re not allies Midoriya.” You say before Bakugo quickly rejoins the fight and the brawl continues. Explosions and ice fill the air as a robot from the distance view it all.

“Three students from Class 1-A detected at Ground Beta outside of regulation hours! Class A..Homeroom teacher..is Eraserhead...Intercom line #8. Hey Eraserhead! Three of your students are at Ground Beta unsupervised! Take responsibility. Come discipline them!” The robot calls out to your teacher who freezes in the middle of his work.

“Seriously?” Your teacher groans, “I am quite serious.” The robot responds and your teacher sighs ready to tear a new one in his students when he is stopped.

Smoke surrounds the three of you as you use your left side to warm your body to melt the frost growing on your right.

“I said hold on! Do we really gotta fight?!” Midoriya yells out to the two of you while explosions pop from Bakugo's palm and your hands twitch ready to fight, “It doesn’t mean you were wrong about anything! Nobody ever said that your looking up to him was wrong!” Bakugo sends another explosion which Midoriya dodges, “I said wait!” He yells out before hands grab his shirt and throw him to the ground. The smoke clears for a second for Midoriya to see you with green sparks of One For All running through your body. Before Bakugo quickly lunges toward the other boy and when Midoriya tries to deflect he receives a fierce kick to the face, as Bakugo tries to attack his arm. Midoriya leans flipping back kicking Bakugo sending him back as he stumbles back.

A quick movement in the wind and Midoriya barely dodges your kick that is filled with One for All similar to his own. He reaches out grabbing your arm flinging you past him and you hit the ground rolling before stopping on your side. Your side is burning your shirt ridden up scratching from the road all along your side. Midoriya huffs out a breath looking back at the blonde rushing towards him, “Are you oka-”

His hand is quickly slapped out of the way as the blonde yells at him, “Quit freaking worrying about me!! Just fight! I mean what the hell? How?!” Bakugo pushes himself to stand his stance unstable as he cries out. You wheeze out pushing yourself to your knees, “How’d I end up chasing after a dweeb who was always playing catch-up?! Why’d a twerp like you get that kind of power..? You got All Might to recognize you…you got way stronger! So why was it me… why…was it me… who put an end to All Might?” He clutches his shirt him face that of utter despair.

“If only I’d been stronger…If I hadn’t been kidnapped by those stupid villains..everything woulda have been fine! I’ve got no freaking idea…what I’m supposed to do!!” He cries out tears falling from his eyes hitting the concrete underneath you all. Bakugo hears footsteps come closer to him stopping before him and he looks up seeing you stand before him your hand clenched he can see a small spark come from it but he thinks he was imagining it.

“I thought I would have been easier to kick your ass…but you’ve already lost.” You say and a part of Bakugo snaps and he sends the biggest explosion straight at you point blank. Midoriya cries out your name, you shouldn’t be alive from that. The smoke clears and you’re still standing there but the smoke seems to curve around you, your hand was held out a blueish barrier surrounding you. You drop your hand and the barrier leaves and your grab onto Bakugo’s shirt before flinging him in the direction of Midoriya who sends a kick straight at him a cut appearing on his lip.

“No this is perfect…I’ve been wanting to find out if my shoot style works against you or not…If we’re really doing this…I’ll give it my all!” Midoriya calls out as Full Cowling covers his body and Bakugo grins explosions filling his palm and you grin as red sparks grow from your palms.

“I’m not going to be your punching bag Kacchan!” Midoriya yells at the blonde before a loud blast sends the two boys flying, the air pressure shattering the windows and sending loose objects flying in the air. The two boys skid along the ground both turning to see you walking along the street the red sparks fading from your arm.

“I shouldn’t be so worried about him being your punching bag.” You call out and Bakugo lets out a yell sending explosions your way and you dodge at the last second he reaches out to send a well-timed punch when a black goo appears and Midoriya takes the punch for you which sends him hitting the ground.

That quick second and a hand latch onto your shirt and you flung up into the air and Bakugo quickly appears above you and sends a swift kick in the ribs. Your breath hitches and you hit the wall your back seizing up the wind knocked out of you. Shit, you can’t breathe. With Bakugo rushes towards you lift your hand rivets shooting out towards him which he quickly dodges some knicking his skin or clothing before he could reach you he is kicked away by Midoriya who looks at you, you had some scuffs on your face and you clutching your ribs in pain.

“I said I don’t need your help!” You yell tackling the two of you hit the ground and he gets on top of you trying to pin you down when your legs hit his chest sending him flying over you and he hits the ground before he grins.

“Guess it should’ve been obvious but…you both are getting stronger..” Midoriya says and you rush to him red sparks covering your hand as Bakugo rush towards him explosions covering his hand,

“The hell you grinning at!” “I’m not holding back Midoriya!” You swing your hand out which he dodges. The air pressure tears up the ground and Bakugo sends a blast at you and Midoriya, the brute of it hitting your arm burning part of your sleeve the rest sending Midoriya back.

“You say you ain’t gonna be my punching bag anymore, huh?” Bakugo yells and Midoriya gets up rushing towards the blonde while Bakugo pulls his hands back.

“I won’t!” “Sounds to me…like you’ve got another scheme!” A bright light comes from Bakugo’s hand stunning the two of you before he sends an attack and Midoriya is up in the air again before hitting the ground.

“Always thinking and looking at me! With those eyes that seemed to know something, I didn’t! Always like you were looking down on me. Like you were just waiting for a chance to surpass me. You freaking eyesore!” Bakugo yells out and Midoriya stops in his step.

“Is that what you thought? Normally I wouldn’t want anything to do with someone like you but as you said…I had nothing going for me..as bad as your bad side was…your strength was just impressive,” One For All quickly returned to his veins glowing a brighter green than before, “You had so much that I didn’t. I could admire All Might from a distance, but you were right there. This amazing person in my life! That’s why...I always chased after you!” He seemed to speed up the percentage he kept it at before, moving faster, being stronger, that the fight between him and Bakugo seemed to happen in flashes that even Bakugo could barely keep up with. It was flashes of kicks and fist explosions and sparks of green before the two hit the ground again.

“I won’t lose to you!” Bakugo yells out explosions in his palms,

“Bakugo!” “What!” The blonde freezes in place his eyes glazed over the explosions disappearing from his palm and you walk closer standing beside him before you press your finger against his forehead pushing him back, “Sleep.” He tips over hitting the ground unconscious, you didn’t know how long but he would wake up sooner, he seemed like a person to fight a forced sleep.

Turning away from the blonde to Midoriya who is catching his breath, “Don’t think your nice words are gonna make me feel better.” You say and he looks at the unconscious boy back to you.

“I just wanna understand.” He calls out and you look up at him, “Will you fight him…Shigaraki when the times come?”

“You can’t make me do that.” You say and Midoriya clenches his fist,

“He’s a villain.” “He is my brother.” “Your brother who tried to kill you and us multiple times already.” “I can stop him.”

“And if you can’t. If you had to fight him…or even kill him would you do it?” You were disgusted by the words coming from his mouth, you can’t picture innocent Midoriya saying this. Your hands shake, your eyes burning and you shake your head,

“I-i can’t…he’s the only person I have left.” You cry out looking back at him and Midoriya looks more saddened than upset.

“Would you join him?” He says and your head snaps up to look at him, “Would you do it. Join the League..join him.” Was he seriously insinuating you would join the villains just to be your brother?

“No…why would you say that-” “You keep using it…All For One’s power…even Shigaraki’s..” He cuts you off, “Against Stain, at the exam, even now. You don’t seem to hesitate using their quirks. They are villains.”

“They are just quirks.” You respond your mind flashes back to what the commission said. You were dangerous for using villainous quirks, but you used them to help people.

“Quirks that were used to hurt people…to kill people.” He says and he looks down at his hands, “I don’t know what it’s like to deal with both One For All and All For One but I don’t know if you should keep using those quirks…”

“I’m helping people. I’m being a hero. It’s not the quirk it’s the user that makes them bad. I’m not the successor here Midoriya I wasn’t destined to stop the great evil. One For All is just as much of a burden as All For One is…” You say before looking down at your hands,

“I’m done talking…are we going to fight or are you ready to be my punching bag.” You say the same feeling of betrayal filling you again. First All Might now Midoriya the list could only get longer of those you couldn’t trust.

Midoriya looks down at his hand before closing his fist and One For All covers his body while red sparks come from your hands.

“I’m not the bad guy in this situation.”

You say and Midoriya gives a pitying frown,

“Neither am I…”

The two of you rush to each All For One rushing through your body and One For All rushing through his as your fists collide shaking the building around you almost in a familiar way when a true villain and true hero fought together, but now it is confusing. Neither of you knew what you were, one trying to follow a destiny that seem to lead to pain while the other discovering more of the sins they committed that started to create a weight pulling them under. The force of the attack sends the two of you flying back, Midoriya skidding along the ground as you stop yourself with a barrier of ice that causes your back to sting.

Midoriya quickly appears in front of you sending a kick towards you which you dodge twisting behind him kicking him to the ground rearing your fist back sparks appear heading towards his face. Dodging your hand hits the ground creating a shockwave. A hand latches onto your arm and you are flung into the air spinning around you stop in the middle of the air floating above the ground and Midoriya looks up at you. He rushes towards you springing against a building to attack you in the air sending a kick with a large percent of One For All that you haven’t experienced. You block the brute of the attack but it slams you into the ground a crater is made and Midoriya hits the ground.

The dust settles and he gets closer to where you lay your eyes were closed cuts and burns covering you. Midoriya let out a sigh looking up at the sky why did this all have to happen. A hand latches onto his shoe and his whole world is turned on its axis and he’s on the ground with you on top of him one hand clutching on his wrist in a painful grip while your foot is pressed on his other wrist as you pin him down.

“L/n what are you doing. It’s over.” Midoriya calls out but you seemed almost out of it.

“I’m surprised. This much anger she let go of control so easily.” Your voice is cool and Midoriya freezes this wasn’t you.

“All For One…” He breathes out fear running through his body. He was warned by All Might. Only he had the power to take away One For All and since you shared his quirk you could easily do it right now. A cynical grin grows on your face as you hold a hand above his face.

“Izuku Midoriya how pitiful you fail your master this quickly. All Might has truly failed you all.” You say before your hand presses against and he feels a painful sensation fill his body as red mist surrounds the two of you. Was this really happening. He was going to lose One For All and then it would be all over. With flashes of faces some he’s never seen before he finds himself on an empty plane the sky dark with twinkling stars flashing by him. The sound of struggling and he looks forward and sees you struggling against someone. Your body seems to mold with the other shadows seemingly covering the man so Midoriya couldn’t see his full face but had to assume. This was All For One…

“Resisting is futile child. This defiance will only lead to your demise.” All For One’s voices echos throughout the plane as his hand tightens a grip on your head trying to push you within him while you claw at him with the one arm you have. You two were joined together in a mosh of flesh as if he was growing from you.

“I…won’t ever…stop fighting! I will…kill you.” You hiss out shaking your face and cringing in pain. All For One grins looking up from you to see you two weren’t alone…

“Ahhh One For All..” He addresses the boy who can’t help but shiver in fear. Your head snaps up your eyes widen in fear of seeing Midoriya in front of you.

“Midoriya! Run…please he’ll..he’ll kill you!” You beg him. All For One grips your hair harshly shoving you down and you cry out in pain.

“Your words are no use. One For All will be in my grasp shortly and your pitiful life will be finished!” All For One cackle and Midoriya gasp out in pain a striking pain in his chest as he falls to his knees. All for One grins feeling power growing within him but just as quickly as it was with him it is yanked from him. All For One looks down seeing you gone looking back up you are beside Midoriya the boy holding onto you.

“I won’t let you corrupt this child…” A voice calls at the two of you look behind you and there is a man with white hair similar to yours, he looks small and frail but held a sort of power in him.

“Brother..” All For One grins looking at the other male standing protecting the two of you, “I wouldn’t expect to see you after all these years.” This was All For One’s brother.. which meant he was..the first user of One For All.

“While you may have forced this quirk of yours onto her she will not become your puppet.” The first user says and Midoriya holds onto you, the feeling of another hand and you look over seeing Nana Shimura giving you a look of confidence as she holds onto you. Looking behind you see more people joining in, were these the past users?

“You can’t escape me, Shimura. I…OWN…YOU!” He bellows and the world around you shakes as the full force of One For All stands off against All For One.

A gasp of air and you’re back at Ground Beta underneath you is Midoriya who is also awake from having experienced All For One looking at you frantically,

“L/n?” He whispers and you quickly disappear from his view. The full body force of Bakugo tackling you disoriented you to have him pin you down one hand holding your hands while his legs pin your body down. He holds on hand above your hand explosions popping from his hand threatening.

“You’re not hurting anyone, you bastard.” Bakugo hisses out as you stare up at him shocked while Midoriya pushes himself out of the crater his body weak from almost losing his quirk.

“Kacchan it’s not All For One! It’s her.” Midoriya calls out stumbling towards you as you lay frozen staring back up at the blonde who was seconds away from sending your ass straight to hell.

“That’s enough, all of you!” A familiar voice yells and the three of you turn seeing All Might walking towards you.

“All…Might..” You all breathe out and Bakugo drops his hand and steps back as you sit up rubbing your wrist from the harsh grip.

“I’m so very sorry…Bakugo…Shimura.” He says and Bakugo scoffs turning to face away from the hero while you look down to the ground. Could you listen to any word that comes out of his mouth after he lied to you, and betrayed your trust?

“So why Deku? Ever since the sludge thing…why? Why him of all people?” Bakugo says his voice harsh but cracks in some places, almost ashamed. He was the perfect student in the eyes of heroes, with good grades, a strong quirk, and the winner of the sports festival, but in his eyes, he wasn’t good enough for All Might. Miles behind Midoriya that he wasn’t seen as the one to succeed him.

“Even powerless he was more of a hero than anyone. I could tell you were strong. You were already on your way,” All Might explains, “So…I decided to give him a chance to walk that path too.”

“Nah,” Bakugo whispers shaking his head, “I’m weak… This whole time, I wanted to be like you! But I was weak! And you wound up like that!” Bakugo cries out his hands shaking in fists pointing at All Might’s frail form much different than the hero form you all were used to.

“This is not your fault.” All Might says walking close to the boy, “I was fast approaching my limit either way…This was always my destiny. And you are strong. However...I was distracted by your strength I burdened you with it. I’m sorry.” All Might places his hand on Bakugo's head almost pulling him into a hug,

“You too are only a boy.” Bakugo grits his teeth slapping the older man’s hand off him and stepping away.

“And you still put us in a battle that you failed to finish.” Your voice cuts through the night and the three men turn to look at you. Your voice was calm but the tension held in your body and how your hands shook you were bottling up everything that was waiting to burst. Your eyes leave the ground to make contact with All Might.

“If you had stopped All For One...If you had killed him the first time. We wouldn’t have to worry about villains trying to kill us. There would be no League, Bakugo and I wouldn’t have been kidnapped, I wouldn’t be forced with two quirks, my brother would be with me right now, and maybe Nana would still be alive if you hadn’t lost.” You say and All Might looks down to the ground,

“But now it’s our responsibility to pick up the pieces and fix it,” You say before a chuckle leaves your body, “When I joined U.A. I just wanted to become something to help people, but now…I wake up thinking the next fight I’m in may be my last or maybe All For One takes over again and I can’t stop him and he kills everyone I care about. Did you plan for this All Might?” Midoriya and Bakugo just watch you as you rant, all these pent-up negative thoughts, your fears about the future that seemed to be rapidly approaching.

“I never planned for this Shimura and I’m sorry..” He says and you shake your head,

“Sorry means nothing to me. Sorry isn’t going to help when I’m dead fighting the league. Sorry isn’t going to help when I’m some mindless puppet forced to watch the world burn. I’ve lost the will to accept sorry as a response.” You say it’s quiet no one knowing what to say after your confession. Pushing yourself to your feet your ribs cry out in pain along with your whole body. Turning away from them you begin walking away, away from the fight, away from whatever excuses All Might might try to throw at you, just away.

“Shimura..Y/n wait!” All Might calls after you but you don’t look back. If you look back you knew he would use whatever destiny bullshit he used on Midoriya to draw you back in but you were done. You weren’t the main character in this story, more of the side character that was meant to guide the hero down the path never to be seen.

Returned to the dorm your body covered in scrapes and cuts, your sleeve burned from Bakugo’s explosion, and the feeling of a bruise forming on your ribs and back from getting thrown around like a ragdoll they seemed to numb by the upcoming pain you were to receive when you gaze locked with Aizawa who was standing outside.

“I wasn’t surprised hearing two children fighting and knowing they were Bakugo and Midoriya but you. L/n your quirk is dangerous and using it in an unsupervised area could have caused you to hurt your classmates or yourself.” Aizawa scolds as he paces the small office he had you in while you sat in a chair staring straight ahead letting his criticism strike you with each word. He looks back at you sees your emotionless face and feels angrier at your lack of enthusiasm or remorse.

“Are you even listening to me! Do you understand the amount of trouble you are in, I can have your license revoked, or would you rather me expel you? Which will have you respond to anything that is happening.” He rants before pausing when he sees a single tear slip down your face and you quickly wipe it away.

“No matter what you do…take my license, expel me, nothing is going to stop him.” You confess looking down at your hands and Aizawa looks down at you...

“Him…?” He says having some idea about what happened in Kamino,

“All For One,” You whisper out feeling a shiver run through your body, “I can’t keep fighting this internal battle. He may be locked up but he’s strong…stronger than any of us thought. He has plans…for me..for Shigaraki..for everyone. We’re all just pawns in his plan and we all fall right into his hand.”

Aizawa can’t help but feel nervous. What plans? For you or Shigaraki or anyone…

“L/n…Shimura” He says and you look up at him as he kneels to your level, “What is his plan.” And for once you didn’t feel afraid, he wouldn’t hurt you…Aizawa wasn’t that kind of man.
