It shouldn't have happened like that. The truth is, everything was going well between you and it should have been
You loved each other with a pure and sincere love, you were dedicated body and soul to each other and nothing could have spoiled this magnificent picture
But that was without counting on Fugaku Uchiha, Itachi's father
It's fair to say that he attached a great deal of importance to the family from which the people who were close to his sons came. A little too much for your taste
You came from a good family, and there were certainly proud ninja in the ranks of your clan. However, your clan wasn't one of the most outstanding clans in Konohagakure, nor was it from another country
Of course, Fugaku was careful not to tell his son, and decided to do everything in secret
You met him once, and since that day he's avoided you like the plague. Whenever lunch was set up with you, Itachi, his mother and sometimes Sasuke were the only ones present
One day as you were walking to the lake where your date with Itachi would be, you felt someone approach you and the next thing you knew you were cornered in an alley
You recognized him immediately, Fugaku "Leave my son alone. When are you going to realize that you're not enough for him ? All you'll do is hold him back on your low ladder. He's supposed to have a great life and his family should shine in Konohagakure. Do you think you're capable of taking over the Uchiha clan ? Do you think anyone will respect you knowing you're not even up to their level ?..."
He didn't stop talking for what seemed like an eternity. Each word a drop of venom that numbed your body even more. You didn't even realize that the flowers in your hand had ended up on the ground
"You've got it. Or do you need me to be more convincing ?" his sharingan twinkled in his eye. You, who loved to see it in your boyfriend's eyes, froze for the first time at its sight
You nodded vigorously, managing as best you could not to release the tears you were holding in front of him. This bastard won't be allowed to see you cry "Good now go away and don't let anyone tell me you were seen in the Uchiha district or near Itachi again. Or you'll both regret it"
And with that he disappeared in a poof of smoke. For a moment you were stunned. Your tears began to fall as you thought about his last sentence, "you both", was he going to hurt him ? The more you were thinking the more tears there was and soon you started choking on your own tears
You should have realized. He'd just seemed angry the whole meal when you'd first met him. Of course it had to be your fault
You bent down, quickly picked up the flowers and ran from rooftop to rooftop all the way home. By the time you got there, your eyes were red with tears. So you made a difficult choice that you never thought you'd have to make, and that you never should have had to make. But as you were no longer allowed to see him, you were going to leave him alone, ghosting him, as it were That night you didn't sleep a wink
As for Itachi, he was taken aback. It wasn't like you not to come to a date or not to warn him before canceling. He preferred not to bother you, believing that for one reason or another you had a valid reason for not coming
He began to worry, however, when the next day you didn't meet him at Ichiraku as you did every Wednesday afternoon. So he decided to drop by your place with a raspberry doughnut ( or something else )
Once at your place, your sibling / one of your parents / your cat ( idk 😆 ) opened the door. After politely saying hello and taking off his shoes, he excused himself and walked down the familiar path to your bedroom
When he got there, he saw something he didn't know was going to break his heart too
You were at your desk, writing frantically on a sheet of paper, tears streaming from your reddened eyes. As another tear mingled with the ink on the paper, you crumpled up the sheet and turned to throw it in your garbage can, except this time you met his gaze.
"Y/n what are you d-"
"Please get out of here, you shouldn't be there. Please leave now" your voice was everything but soft
"What are you talking about ? Did I do something wrong ? I'm sorry if I did" he replied in a worried voice, the doughnut still in his hand
"I brought you this" he said, handing it to you
That's when you realized that he wasn't going to let you have it easy, he knew when to trust you and now he knew that no matter what you did, even you weren't really willing to do it. He could feel it
"Keep it with you and go now. I don't have time to deal with you"
"Deal with me ? What does that-"
You knew you'd have to be sharp if you wanted him to really let it go. And knowing it wasn't going to be easy, you pulled out all the stops
"I don't want you anymore. I've had enough of you. Of the Uchiha and all the rest"
"What are you talking about ? Are you feeling alright ?" he said, starting to clench his fist around the snack he'd brought you. He could feel you slipping from his fingers, even your face showed you weren't doing it willingly
He activated his sharingan to see if you were under the influence of a genjutsu, but you screamed out
"Get the fuck out of here you and your fucking evil eyes. Go home to your fuckin' family-" ( Okay now you'd totally lost it. What the hell Y/n 😂 )
Okay now that was a bit too much, the doughnut in his hand tightly squeezed, jam dripping to the floor
Suddenly he moved very fast and in the blink of an eye tackled you to the wall - a hand on your throat - "What has gotten into you ?" despite the anger in his voice you also sensed a certain concern
Tears rolled down your cheeks as you tried to remain silent and say nothing. Itachi, however, decided to take the matter into his own hands and took you out of the house for some fresh air
He intended to find out what had happened to put you in such a state. A surge of protectiveness fuelled inside him, urging him to discover what was doing this to you
He asked you more and more specific questions, and you concentrated on not answering. But Itachi could read the answers on your face that you didn't want to give him. He knew when the answer was yes or no
Without even realizing it, he'd taken you back to the Uchiha district, and it was only in front of his house that you realized it. He must have suspected the cause of your change in behavior and changed his route
He couldn't just act on impulse. Seeing your panic, he took your hand in his "Hey hey don't worry nothing's going to go wrong. I'll protect you, you have my word. But I can't pretend and watch you torture yourself like this"
With that, he went into his house and called the members of his family, claiming to want to talk about something important. Everyone came more or less quickly, some smiling and well, another glaring at you. When little Sasuke came waved at you Itachi flicked his forehead and told him to go play elsewhere during they talked and that you both were going to join him after the talk
You sat nervously at the table next to Itachi's side of the table. Opposite his father and next to his mother's side. The more nervous you became, the more Itachi realized that his assumptions were possibly true
Her mother had seen your nervousness too, and tried to meet her husband's gaze, but he stared at you shamelessly as if he were going to kill you any minute
"Why is she here ?" he suddenly spoke up, and before anyone could reply, he added, "I made it clear last time. You're not enough for an Uchiha. What if the sharingan gene gets lost in the way because of your genetic weakness ? Izumi on the other hand-"
Something inside of you snapped. Maybe it was his degrading words or Itahi's unwavering presence that fueled you but you suddenly stood up "Don't you dare mention that bitch when I'm around ! I'm Itachi's girlfriend and no one beside him would be ever able to change that !"
His father looked unfazed and looked at his soon "Great then. Son tell her you don't want to prolong this futile relationship any long-"
He was cut off by Itachi "Don't finish that sentence"
Yet his father continued "But you don't need her anymore-"
Itachi slammed his fist on the table, his sharingan flaring in his eyes. His mother let out a surprised yelp. "Don't you dare speak to her like this in my presence ever again" anger and protectiveness pumping through his whole system as his voice dropped to an uncanny scarry tone
"I'll let it pass this time. But let her tell me someone tried to mess with her head again, or if I find out... you'd rather I wasn't your son"
Then he looked at his mother "I'm sorry you had to see that, but I wanted you to know. It won't happen again
She gave you an apologetic smile and nodded to her son "Very well Itachi. Now I think it's the right time to go and have fun with your brother. You too Y/n, my dear "
So you both got up and, after saying goodbye, went to see Sasuke in the house garden.
Fugaku's gaze remained fixed on the table, on the cracks created by the impact of his son's fist a few minutes before
His wife's voice snapped him out of his thoughts "Seriously, you should have known better. She means more to him than his own life. He'd never have let her go. Let that be a lesson to you" and with that she left him to reflect on his behavior
Your hand securely held in Itachi's, your fingers intertwined he said softly "No one will ever keep me apart from you. You're the only one who can come up with this that I'd listen too"
You hold his hand tighter "You're very brave, I'd take you as an inspiration Itachi. I love you forever and always"
He smiled fondly "I love you too forever and always whatever may happen" If only you knew at that time,  that in a little while he was going to be given a secret mission that may or may not compromise his promise to you. Who knows 🤷 maybe you'd like to be part of the Akatsuki someday

Just a random TobiMada story in mind where Tobirama and Madara both have a thing for each other but refuses to admit it so they tend to act hostile. Time passes and Madara went sad boi and decided to leave the village out of grief. Tobirama began to realize how much Madara means to him and how wrong he has been treating the man. Months came by and Tobirama was depressed asf, then big bro Hashi came to the rescue said encouraging brotherly stuffs blablablah. Therefore, Tobirama decided to search for Madara but when he was just about to pass through the gates of the village, he saw Madara and immediately ran up to him, carried him with both arms and starts twirling him around saying "you came back!" giving a teary-eyed and goofy smile like Hashirama. Madara became flustered and confused as he just couldn't believe that the man that he's been pinning for actually misses him. Then confessions were made followed by bone crushing hugs from Hashirama and failed attempts of a shovel talk from Izuna. Needless to say, they all lived happily ever after.
Though Madara bitched about all the trouble he went through by leaving the village to take his mind off the Senju, but then returning with the man actually liking him back. Tobirama just laughed and kissed him as he rails his Uchiha hard into the mattress. The End. uwu
(If some actually makes a story out of this pls lemme know 🥺 btw I just wanted to draw Madara being easily carried by Tobirama, the story just came along lol)

You Never Have to Forgive Me - I Will Always Love You.
⭐︎ Word Count: 5844 ⭐︎
⭐︎ Warnings: Canon-typical violence, hurt/comfort, angst ⭐︎
⭐︎ Description: Itachi drags you along with him for a trip to Konohagakure without telling you what’s going on. When he comes back, tears streaming down his face with a clear indication of pain, you know something’s gone wrong. ⭐︎
*a/n: i originally posted this on my main blog, but ive since created a new one and decided to repost it here. im still the real eyeles i promise!!
You and Itachi arrived in Konohagakure early in the morning - you were quick to disguise yourselves as simple tourists upon entering the gate, flashing a bright smile to the guarding ninja and telling stories of your wide travels across the Land of Fire. The ninja let you into the village with a kindhearted smile and a wish of success. You and Itachi quickly made your way to the nearest inn, where you promptly set down all of your items and made a plan for the day.
When Itachi asked you to accompany him on a mission to Konoha, you were hesitant to agree. In all the years you had known the man, he had never once expressed an interest in returning to Konoha. You were only vaguely aware of what had happened in the Leaf all those years ago, but you knew enough to know that Itachi was correct to stay far away. He’d never talked about it with you despite your status as his closest friend; Itachi was stuck with his walls up at all times and very rarely expressed any emotion. He was objective, honest, and emotionless - it’s what appealed to you the most, but it concerned you when he hid his emotions from you. You never knew when he was in a bad place, and that’s what confused you the most when he asked you out of the blue if you would join him on a mission to Konoha.
As soon as you had settled into the hotel, Itachi was heading out the door. He moved silently and didn’t even bother calling your name - the man had fully intended on leaving you in the hotel room and heading out to the streets on his own. Before you had even realized he’d left the room, he was already making his way down the pavement.
Itachi walked swiftly to his destination, using the distinct muscle memory that was ingrained into his mind years ago. He took a left turn, went straight for a while, turned again at the large flower pot, then circled around the fountains to reach his destination - it was the same route he took to the academy almost every single day of school when he was a child.
The dirt was still the same reddish brown that he remembers; it kicked up the exact same way as it used to and created the same dust clouds as Itachi walked. He was entranced by the ivy that had grown across the building he’d admired since he was a child - he’d stare at it every morning as he walked past it and always expressed how much he wanted to live there when he was older. At the age of 21, though, Itachi felt an unfortunate pain in his heart when he first saw that building now overgrown with ivy and grass. It looked abandoned, even.
The sound of a bell had taken Itachi out of his thoughts. He was standing at the corner right across from the Konohagakure academy and his eyes scanned the crowd of children that were now pouring out of the building. He recognized a few kids as members of clans based on their familiar outfits, but beyond that, Itachi felt saddened by the lack of recognition in his mind. Nothing in the village had changed, it seemed, yet Itachi felt as though he’d never been there before.
A kid with bright yellow hair dashed out of the crowd, an intelligible yell escaping his mouth. He appeared happy as he ran, and Itachi watched the two kids trail behind him. A girl with gorgeous pink hair followed the blonde boy with her arms crossed in clear disappointment. Behind her, trailing even slower, was a boy that Itachi had failed to recognize entirely. He looked angry at first, but it became easy to see that he was indifferent to what the boy was yelling about. Itachi furrowed his brow in confusion at the dark-haired boy before it had finally clicked.
The child, who must have been no older than 12, was Itachi’s younger brother - and Itachi was unable to recognize him.
There was nothing about Sasuke that was different or unusual for an Uchiha member; he wore the same white shorts and blue shirt that even Itachi wore as a kid. The familiar Uchiha crest was sewn into the back of the shirt, even. It had simply been too many years since Itachi had last seen his younger brother, and the memory of Sasuke’s face and mannerisms had slowly faded. Every time Itachi failed to recall a memory of his brother, he felt the same aching pain in his heart. Yet, he stayed away.
Sasuke had not noticed Itachi, thankfully, because Itachi had taken a few steps forward in a risky attempt to get a better view of him and almost drew attention to himself. In a moment of desperation, Itachi had activated his Sharingan to solidify the memory in his mind. He had forgotten everything else about Sasuke - he was not going to forget him again, he was determined. Unfortunately, the glow of the Sharingan was far too eye-catching.
Out of the corner of his eye, Sasuke Uchiha could have sworn that he saw the familiar red glow of the Sharingan eyes. He’d seen a tall figure in the shadow of a building across the street as he slowly trailed after Naruto and dreaded the next two hours of training. The figure was out of his mind almost as soon as he’d looked away, but the familiar glowing red he saw out of the corner of his eye was enough for his heart to drop to his stomach. He turned his head instantly to get a better view, but the figure had disappeared entirely by the time he realized what he was looking at. Sasuke muttered to himself and returned his attention back to his teammates, who were now significantly ahead of him. The thought of his older brother lingered in the back of his mind.
When Itachi returned to the hotel room, you were about to release a wave of anguish on him. You had a speech written and rehearsed for the man - it was a powerful proclamation of how you will never be disrespected like this again, how it was extremely inappropriate and immature of Itachi to invite you here and then immediately abandon you. Before you could even open your mouth, though, you stopped in your tracks once you realized Itachi was standing in front of you with tears silently streaming down his face.
“I didn’t recognize him,” he said at a whisper, voice clearly shaking.
“Who?” you asked as you walked toward Itachi, arms held out to him.
“Sasuke.”
Your expression softened instantly upon hearing that name - though you never knew much about the relationship Itachi had with Sasuke, you knew that they were family. Despite everything that happened in the Uchiha clan, it was understood that Itachi cared for Sasuke far more than you’d ever know. When Itachi spoke those words, it stirred a wave of emotion inside of you that could not stop you from pulling him into a hug.
Itachi collapsed into you and sniffled as he attempted to take a deep breath and prevent his tears from falling. It failed, though, when a sob came out of his chest unintentionally. His crying became borderline uncontrollable as he fell into your shoulder. Your arms wrapped around his body as you pulled him closer; gently, you tried to reassure him.
“You’re okay,” you whispered, doing your best to fight back your own tears, “you’re okay.”
Itachi tried to speak, but another cry came out by accident. You shushed him and pressed your hand to his back and began rubbing circles on him in an attempt to soothe him. After another minute of his cries, you carefully led him across the room to sit on the bed. He followed without any issue and sat down next to you, but didn’t dare show his face to you. When he pushed himself away from your shoulder moments later, you looked away from his face. Itachi was a man who was obsessed with his image - he’s eternally poised and always holds himself to the highest degree of decorum; being seen in a state like this is something that he’d be embarrassed of for the rest of his life, so you consciously did your best to avert your gaze.
“I thought that seeing Sasuke after all this time would reassure me, but it’s done the opposite,” his voice faltered as he sat up, still clearly distraught. “I could tell, even in that short moment, that… That I destroyed all potential for him to succeed.” He lowered his head and rested it on his palms, pressing one to his eye in an attempt to clear the oncoming headache after his tears had slowed down.
“You cannot predict the future,” you said, wrapping your arm around his shoulder, “you have no idea what Sasuke will do. I’m sure he’s amazing.”
“He would have surpassed me by now if I hadn’t done what I did,” Itachi whispered, “I destroyed his potential. I created his pain and I solidified his life of grief and isolation.”
“You were a kid,” you hugged him tighter, “you had no choice.”
Itachi shook his head. “What I did was beyond horrible.”
“Yes,” you agreed, “but that does not mean that you are horrible.”
Itachi crumbled once more, leaning further into your touch.
The tears continued falling silently until the sun had began to set. The sky had turned a gorgeous pink color and reflected beautifully on the lake in front of the inn - when you realized how late it had become, you peeled away from your sleeping partner to get dinner for the both of you. He had eventually cried himself to sleep, you assumed, and was now resting. You wrote a note for him just in case he woke up during the time you were gone. You threw on a jacket and went to the front desk to ask where the best takeout food was.
You kicked the red dirt as you walked, slowly chasing the same pebble that you’d accidentally brushed forward. It became a game to you, to see just how far you could take that single pebble. It made it only a few more kicks before you’d underestimated your strength and sent it flying off your charted path. You turned your attention toward your surroundings and found yourself peoplewatching as you walked.
There was a kid, maybe 13 at most, who was being screamed at by a girl of roughly the same age with the highest ponytail you’d ever seen. What she was saying was mostly incomprehensible to you, but it was clear that the boy did not seem to care. In fact, there was another boy right next to him feasting on a bag of chips while watching the entire ordeal.
After you’d turned the corner, your destination came into view. There was a group of kids across the street with a few ninja watching over them, the adults having their own conversations while the kids were busy trying to show off the different jutsu they’d allegedly mastered. A boy with an adorably small dog was boasting about his seemingly excellent kunai-throwing accuracy while a different boy in an alarmingly green outfit was proclaiming his dedication to being a ninja. Seeing the kids just be kids sparked a warmth in your heart, a tender feeling that everything just might be fine.
You entered the ramen shop with intentions to get a light dinner. However, when you sat down and looked at the row of people next to you, it was obvious that the proportions in this restaurant were huge. You ordered your food and stared at the posters while you waited. You’d also decided to passively eavesdrop on the group next to you.
“You’re being a total loser,” an unfamiliar voice said. From what you could tell, there were three kids and a ninja - you could only assume that they were a team.
“What?” another one playfully groaned, “I just wanna see whose quicker at eating a bowl of ramen!” The boy smacked his chopsticks on the table, signaling to the chef to make another bowl.
“Did you ask me if I’d buy you enough ramen for that, Naruto?” The ninja at the opposite end of the table asked, not even bothering to look up from the book he was reading, which had a large “18+” sticker on the back of it. It made you cringe just a little to see a man reading that in public.
The blonde boy, who you assumed was Naruto, smiled sheepishly and shook his head. “What’s a little more ramen, huh?” he asked. He then turned to the boy he was taunting previously. “What, Sasuke, you scared?”
Instantly, your head turned to the boy. The lighting in the shop wasn’t amazing, so you couldn’t exactly see his face, but you could tell just by looking at him that he was an Uchiha; the crest on the back of his shirt gave it away completely, but even just looking at his face was enough. The resemblance to Itachi was undoubtful. This was Sasuke Uchiha, and you were somehow lucky enough to run into him.
“Would you QUIT IT?!” A hand smacked Naruto’s face quickly, causing him to scream in pain. “Sakura!” Naruto whined, putting his head down on the table. Sakura huffed and returned to her ramen while Sasuke smirked in satisfaction.
Your own bowl of ramen was placed in front of you and you began to eat. You quickly discovered it was far too hot, though, so you needed to pass the time until it cooled off.
“Excuse me,” you smiled at the group next to you, “but I’m a tourist from the Land of Water and I was hoping you’d be able to tell me about Konohagakure. You’re ninja, correct?”
You didn’t intend on spending the next hour talking to the group, but you did - The team’s leader had introduced himself as Kakashi Hatake, who you’d most certainly heard of because of his use of the Sharingan eye. Though you were a more peaceful participant of the Akatsuki group, you were still knowledgeable on the organization’s biggest enemies. Kakashi was certainly one of them, mostly because of his amazing abilities as a ninja.
Naruto Uzumaki was the one to do most of the talking. It was very easy to see that he was someone who was constantly bouncing off the walls with excitement over the prospect of being a ninja. You’d learned all about his academy life within just a few minutes and, with one of the cutest smiles you’d ever seen, told you that he’d invite you personally to be in the front row of his inauguration as the next Hokage. With how dedicated he seemed, a part of you truly believed in his ability.
Sakura Haruno was next to tell you about both herself and Konoha, though she mostly told you about the different herbalist and medicinal specialists throughout the village. She told you that she wanted to become a medical ninja and wanted to do everything she could to help those in need - seeing such a bright and kind young girl filled your heart with a warmth like no other and in that moment, you felt a true hope for the future world.
“What about you?” You’d asked, turning to Sasuke Uchiha. You only started the conversation with Team Seven simply to talk to Sasuke, and yet he was the one who spoke the least. He appeared to have no interest in talking to you, though, as he only answered with a short sentence.
“I’m going to be the best ninja in the world,” he said sternly. He’d been picking slowly at his ramen that was nearing empty and when he spoke, he stabbed the noodles with precision.
“You’ve got to be pretty amazing to do that, y’know. Would you say you’re pretty good?” You inquired.
“Sasuke’s the top of his class!” Sakura chimed in, leaning over the table to look at him. She grinned at Sasuke, who appeared entirely indifferent to her presence, and she giggled.
“Really?” You smiled. Sakura nodded enthusiastically. “He’s the best! He’s totally mastered his Fireball Jutsu and he’s even mastered the Chidori!”
Though you had no idea what the Chidori was, you could sense that it was an impressive move when Kakashi nodded in confirmation. Sasuke didn’t respond to you nor Sakura’s compliments - instead, he continued picking at his food.
“Well, I’m sure you’ve got tons of people that are proud of you,” you smiled at him. In a low voice, you continued. “I know your family is proud of you, at least.”
Sasuke noticeably tensed up. “You know nothing of my family.”
You shook your head. “Not much, no, but you’re clearly a talented boy. It’s hard to miss that.”
An hour later, you returned to your hotel room with a box of ramen for Itachi. He remained laying in the same spot you’d left him, though this time he was wide awake. At first, you thought he was maybe dead because of his stillness - instead, though, he was staring at the ceiling simply because he didn’t want to get up.
“I brought you food,” you said.
He sat up slowly and pushed the hair out of his face. Itachi took the bag from you and began eating what you brought him. He didn’t say thank you, but you could see his appreciation despite the silence and averted gaze. He’d voice his thoughts many days later once the two of you returned home, but you knew it before then anyway.
“I… I saw Sasuke,” you said after a few minutes. His hand went still, pausing in the middle of lifting some noodles out of the bowl with chopsticks. He looked up at you and met your eyes for the first time that night. He looked exhausted, and it filled you with a feeling of sorrow just at the sight of his tired eyes.
“He’s amazing, Itachi,” you whispered with a smile, “he’s such a bright young boy. I talked to him and his teammates.”
Itachi nodded before returning to his food.
He cleared his throat. “Could you tell me about him?” He asked just above a whisper, voice wavering. You nodded.
“I asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up,” you laughed, “and he said he wanted to be the best ninja ever. It was adorable.”
Itachi’s lip twitched at your remark, which was usually an indication of a smile for him.
“His teammate said that he mastered both the Fireball Jutsu and the Chidori.”
“The Chidori?” Itachi inquired, eyebrows furrowing, “that’s a high-level jutsu.”
You smiled and nodded. “His teacher is none other than Kakashi Hatake, Itachi. He’s the best in his class, I’m told. He’s an amazing kid.”
Itachi smiled this time. “I always knew he’d be an amazing ninja,” he whispered, “but mastering the Chidori at his age is unheard of.”
You sat down on the bed next to Itachi, leaning your shoulder against his. “He’s got some pretty awesome teammates too,” you grinned, “there’s this kid Naruto. They’re like, best friends and enemies at the same time. Couldn’t stop bickering with each other, it was adorable. He says he’s going to be Hokage some day, and I think I believe him.”
Itachi hummed in response. You continued. “Kakashi also has the Sharingan, too, which means Sasuke has someone to teach him at least a little bit, you know.”
Itachi shrugged. “He can only teach Sasuke so much.”
You nodded. “I’m sure Sasuke’s already passed him in the Sharingan by now.”
The rest of the night was spent retelling every single moment of your dinner with Sasuke. You made sure to leave out nothing - you went as far as telling Itachi exactly what his brother had ordered at the ramen shop, even. Itachi deserved to know every single second of what happened, no matter how small. When you’d finished telling him and the two of you had gone silent, you turned off the light in the room and crawled into the bed next to Itachi.
“During the mission briefing,” Itachi whispered, “I was told to eliminate everyone.”
It went without saying what mission Itachi was referring to. You reached out for his hand in the dark.
“I couldn’t hurt Sasuke,” he said, and you could tell he was crying once more. “I knew I couldn’t, so I planned to tell him the most vile things to make him hate me.” You furrowed your brow, but didn’t speak up. He continued. “Just to give him a reason to live after everything that I’d done.”
Itachi was shaking now, and you couldn’t tell if it was because of his crying or if he was having another panic attack. You squeezed his hand in reassurance.
“I couldn’t say anything to him,” Itachi whispered. “It pains me to say that I have no memory of the last conversation I had with my brother.”
“You should talk to him,” you whispered to him. Itachi stayed silent. At one point, you thought he had fallen asleep.
“I’d like that,” he responded. “I would like that.”
A whole fourteen hours later, you and Itachi found yourselves outside the academy. He wanted to talk to Sasuke but expressed to you that he was unsure where to start. Even though Itachi had a delicate and practiced mask of indifference on at all hours of the day, it was obvious that he was incredibly nervous at the prospect of meeting his younger brother. Itachi’s mask was cracking and falling off, though, as his nerves increasingly got the better of him. His hands were twitching and fidgety as you walked together through the streets and he completely ignored everything you had to say, almost as if he was lost in thought entirely. It was normal for Itachi to ignore you, but never this much - if he truly didn’t want to listen to you, he’d have gotten far away by now.
“Itachi,” you whispered, gently elbowing the man, “look.”
From where the two of you stood in the shadows of a nearby building, it was difficult to see the oncoming flood of children that were released from school at the precise time of 2o’clock. However, the striking appearance of Naruto in the crowd was enough to draw your attention. His bright yellow hair and rowdy attitude drew your eyes in, which lead you to the Sasuke and Sakura that were trailing behind him with annoyed faces.
You looked to Itachi, who appeared as indifferent as ever, and did your best to scan his face for any indication of what he was thinking. He seemed completely frozen.
“They have training after school most days,” you whispered to him, recalling your memory of the shared dinner and remembering how Naruto told you all about how hard he trains.
His bright smile was contagious. “I train pretty much every day, you know!” He beamed at you, “every single day after school!” Naruto giggled. “Well, except Mondays and Wednesdays…”
“It might be best for us to wait until after training.” Itachi nodded at your comment, but didn’t respond. You watched Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto walk down the path until they had become specks along the horizon. Then, the two of you were on your way.
“Wait,” Itachi grabbed your shoulder as you turned to walk back to the hotel. You stopped in your tracks and turned to him with a look of bewilderment.
“I want to watch them train,” he proposed, “to see if I… truly did destroy his chances.”
Together, you walked to the training grounds where Sasuke and his teammates had gone to. The walk was quiet but comfortable, though Itachi’s nerves were still present. You tried to reassure him during your walk, but it proved to be useless once it was clear that Itachi was not looking for your advice.
“There is nothing you can say that will subdue my unease,” Itachi muttered, “it’s best to leave it alone right now.”
When you finally arrived at the training grounds, Sasuke and his teammates were sitting in the grass together.
“Maaaaan!” Naruto groaned, leaning back into the grass, “Kakashi-sensei is so lame, making us wait here all day for him!”
“You’re lame, loser,” Sasuke mumbled, using a stick to mindlessly drag along the grass in boredom. Naruto huffed in response at the childish insult, but didn’t respond.
The three chattered about school for almost twenty minutes until their sensei had finally arrived to the training grounds.
“Sorry guys, a black cat crossed my path-”
“So you had to go the long way,” the three children chimed in, a sure sign that Kakasshi’s excuse was long worn out. He smiled sheepishly and shoved his book into a pocket, making sure to bookmark the page first. Despite the long wait, Sakura had a soft smile on her face and Naruto was giggling at the absurdity.
“Now then, should we get started?” Kakashi asked, which made all three students rise to their feet and await instruction.
The training session was focused on building team trust - the copy ninja had his students working together to achieve a goal, however the major handicap was Naruto needing to listen to his teammates and Sasuke needing to cooperate with Naruto. There was plenty of fighting, but they eventually reached their goal. Sasuke got to practice a few of his jutsu during the training session as well, which caused Itachi to let out a chuckle of satisfaction at the sight of his younger brother being a talented ninja.
“He’s acquired quite the set of skills,” Itachi commented under his breath, “it’s impressive.”
You smiled. “I told you,” you said, “he’s a gifted kid.” Itachi, for what seemed like the first time in his life, smiled. It was small and soft, but it was definitely there - his lip curled upward and twitched a little at the unfamiliarity of the muscle being used, but it was certainly recognizable as a smile. It filled you with a feeling of felicity.
When training was finally over, you and Itachi trailed Sasuke back to where he was living. Upon first glance, you thought Sasuke had been living in the Uchiha property alone all this time. He entered through the main gates, but instantly turned right and walked down a small path that lead to a small shed in the back of the property. As you slowly trailed the boy, you peered into the windows of the buildings surrounding and found that they were either boarded up or riddled with crime-scene tape. As you walked past a window, you were met with what appeared to be a black reflection. However, you quickly recognized it instead as a swarm of flies covering the panes. You shuddered and directed your attention elsewhere.
Itachi was noticeably tense, presumably reliving that one night all over again, and he remained completely silent as the two of you walked. Sasuke was just barely in the distance, but he was close enough to just barely be seen. The growing darkness assisted in hiding your figures from Sasuke, so you grew less concerned with staying hidden.
Once Sasuke had disappeared inside his shed, you and Itachi stepped behind a building to quietly discuss the plan you had come up with that morning.
“Okay,” you smiled at him reassuringly, “you’re just going to go up there, knock on the door, and talk to him.”
Itachi nodded, remaining quiet.
“And if he gets violent or starts acting like he’s going to do something irrational, you get out of there immediately, right?” You nudged him to make sure he was paying attention.
“Yes,” Itachi spoke, suddenly aware of how dry his mouth was.
You watched the man walk across the gravel and knock gently on the door before taking a step back. Almost thirty seconds later, the door opened and you watched the look of pure confusion on Sasuke’s face change into horror the moment Itachi opened his mouth.
“It’s you,” Sasuke spat, “I hoped that you’d be dead by now.”
Itachi was about to speak, but Sasuke was quick to cut him off.
“Nevermind that, I’ll be the one to do it then!” Sasuke yelled, dashing toward Itachi with a spark of lightning in his palm. Itachi was far too quick, though, and easily dodged the attack - Sasuke went flying past him and almost into the garden wall.
“I came here to talk,” Itachi said, watching Sasuke stumble back to his feet. “I do not wish to fight you.”
“Really?!” Sasuke spat, “you told me you only let me live so I could be the one to kill you!” He shifted positions and pulled out a kunai. “You held me at knifepoint, Itachi, and said I was too pathetic to kill!”
He dashed toward your partner again, and Itachi reached a hand out to stop Sasuke. The force of his brothers actions were enough to send Sasuke flying into Itachi’s body before he quickly jumped back.
“You’re the pathetic one, Itachi,” he raged, “you’re too much of a coward to even fight me!”
Itachi nodded. “You’re right, Sasuke.”
His breath caught in his throat upon hearing the words, but his position did not falter. “Are you really that craven?” he taunted, beckoning Itachi forward with the kunai.
“I wanted to apologize,” Itachi stated. Sasuke scoffed.
“For killing our clan?” Sasuke tightened his grip on the blade. “You’re long past forgiveness for that, brother.”
“No,” Itachi stepped forward, “for accepting the mission.”
Sasuke’s brow furrowed. “What the hell do you mean?” he asked. He held his grip.
“Our clan was planning a coup,” Itachi explained, “and intended to overthrow the Hokage. I was given direct orders to eliminate all the participants.”
Sasuke scoffed. “However,” he muttered, “I could not bring myself to eliminate you.”
“I was too pathetic to kill, right?” Sasuke narrowed his eyes. “I was too pitiful. Say it, Itachi!”
Sasuke took a few steps toward Itachi and pressed the blade to his older brother’s neck, indenting the skin just enough for it to be truly threatening. He locked eyes with his opponent. “I want to hear you say it.”
“You were too precious, Sasuke,” Itachi said, which caused Sasuke to stumble backward in surprise. “I loved you too much to hurt you, and every day I regret what I did.”
Sasuke shook his head. From where you were standing and watching everything going down, it seemed as though tears were beginning to form in his eyes. You found yourself thinking about all the years Sasuke spent alone because of Itachi, and your empathy only grew stronger for the boy.
“You told me I was pathetic,” Sasuke said, perplexed. His brother nodded slowly.
“I had to give you a reason to live after what I had done.”
Sasuke shook his head again, refusing to believe his brother. “I have spent my whole life waiting for the day that I could kill you,” he spat, “and you’re here telling me it was all for nothing?!”
“I’d be honored if you were the one to kill me,” Itachi whispered.
“Every day, my dear brother, I regret what I did. There is not a moment that goes by where I am not in an unwavering state of lament because of my actions. I left you alive because I could not bring myself to hurt you. I love you more than anything, Sasuke, and it’s the reason that I stand before you today.”
Sasuke growled, seemingly unaffected by the words Itachi just spoke. “You’re a monster,” he hissed, “you deserve to spend every second of your life in despair for what you did!”
A kunai was thrown swiftly from Sasuke, which struck the door where Itachi was standing. With a quick lean to the left, the kunai went right past him and into the wooden frame. Sasuke let out a groan of frustration.
“I hate you,” he condemned, “and I want nothing to do with you!”
“I do not need you to love me, dear Sasuke,” Itachi expressed, “I just need you to know the truth.”
Itachi revealed a scroll beneath his cloak. It was something that you’d never seen before, which caused you to wonder exactly how long Itachi had been planning this trip to see Sasuke. He set the scroll on the ground and rolled it across the pavement.
“This scroll contains the mission briefings and all the paperwork associated with it. You will see Danzo’s signature on every single one of those papers, along with exactly what I was ordered to do.”
Sasuke peered down at the scroll and, after a moment of consideration, picked it up. His hands traced the words written on the seal. Itachi produced another scroll, smaller this time.
“This scroll is a communication scroll.” Itachi rolled it across the ground. “This one is connected to another I have in my possession. Whatever you write on the scroll will appear on mine, and the same for my writing.”
Sasuke picked up the second scroll and opened it and found a large sheet of what appeared to be simple parchment. A seal was drawn across the top.
“I left you for so long because I believed you were not strong enough to understand the information contained in that scroll,” Itachi stated. “However, a dear friend of mine told me all about your talent. I’ve been told that you’re the best in your class and that you’ve mastered some impressive jutsu already, Sasuke.”
A shade of pink rose to Sasuke’s face. “So what?” He huffed.
“I am proud of you,” Itachi smiled. “You’ve turned into a fine young man, and I couldn’t be any more delighted to hear how amazing you’ve become.”
Itachi’s eyes glanced over to you, and he gave you a look before quickly signing a few hand formations and disappearing into a cloud of smoke.
“I truly wish to be your brother again, Sasuke,” Itachi had said just a second before disappearing, and Sasuke’s face formed a look of sorrow. A single tear had slid down his face after his brother had disappeared, and you waited until he went inside to move.
When you returned to the hotel, you found Itachi sitting on the bed and peering outside the window. You greeted him quietly, and he nodded his head at you in response.
“That went as well as it could have,” you stated. He nodded.
“I believe that, in due time, Sasuke will open that scroll and finally understand.”
You smiled at Itachi and sat down next to him, leaning your own head on his shoulder. “I think Sasuke is lucky to have you as a brother, minus the killing your family part.”
Itachi actually chuckled lightly at your remark despite the untoward joke.
“I can only hope that a day will come where Sasuke himself could think that, Y/N.”

Relationship: Hatake Kakashi / Uchina Itachi
Prompt: First time
Language: English
Title: I won’t tell

#kakaitaweek2023
Summary
The encounters between Kakashi and Itachi were few but the emotions they left behind were always very intense. A bond that failed to materialize caught between the contrast of the reasons of the heart and what is right. Although convinced that his affection is not reciprocated, Kakashi knows very well that feelings cannot arise or disappear on command. Is this really the case or has it been misled? Some things are always better not to talk about.

Love me Mercilessly Kakashi x Akami Chapter 25: Kintsukuroi word count: 6.7k tw: grieving, implied/referenced suicide, implied/mentioned sex
Kakashi struggles to mourn for his father on Sakumo's birthday, he finds comfort in and old friend and a new one.
She headed towards the single tombstone isolated from all the rest. She cleaned the grave and laid the bouquet before the headstone. She was never quite sure what kind of flowers to buy, but as always White Lillies for the White Fang seemed appropriate.
She kneeled in the crisp green grass that grew undisturbed and waited. Of all of the days Kakashi came to mourn, to wallow in his grief, this day was always the hardest. Akami never cared much for visiting the Cemetery, the dead weren’t here anyway. She didn’t believe in an afterlife or gods, or any of that. When you were gone, you were gone and that was that. Bidding the dead farewell like this was only punishment for the living.
Kakashi wouldn’t be late today...
“You didn’t have to come this year,” Kakashi mumbled, kneeling beside her.
“Yes I did.”
“You didn’t even know him.”
Kakashi was right, Akami never met the man. She couldn’t even say she’d seen him in passing. Sakumo died nearly three years before she came to Konoha. Akami admired him though, she liked a man that thought for himself. And of course she knew who he was long before knowing him as Kakashi’s father; heard tales of that infamous blade. She looked into repairing the Saber many times but Kakashi didn’t want to fix it. So despite herself she let it be. But it didn’t really matter, she didn’t come here for Sakumo.
“No, but he gave me you. That’s enough.” She said, offering Kakashi her hand.
Kakashi didn’t take his eyes off the headstone, reading the date over and over. He didn’t need his sharingan to remember today, September 3rd. His father’s birthday was engraved into his heart much like the limestone that sat before him. He accepted Akami’s hand as his eyes followed the curve of the 3 yet again.
He made himself come every year. Kakashi wasn’t sure anymore if it was because he wanted to or if he was duty bound to pay his respects with what little honor and dignity he still had left.
He never realized what exactly that burning feeling was that radiated through every muscle and nerve in his system, that burrowed deep in his bones. The one that begged to be set free, and only lessened when he could scream into the night sky, or pummel an advisory with his bare hands. But it always came back, always grew stronger. He hadn’t recognized that slow churning of anger, not until Akami beat it out of him that day years ago.
Kakashi had long since forgiven his father for what he did on the battlefield, Obito made him see the sense in that. What Kakashi couldn’t come to grips with was how his father had abandoned him . He was supposed to value his comrades, his friends. Kakashi was all Sakumo had left and yet he chose to leave his only son behind.
Kakashi, like with all things in his miserable life, blamed himself. Maybe his father cursed him that day, to live alone and have the people he loved taken, to abandon him the way Kakashi shunned his father, the way the men he risked his life and reputation for had ostracized him. Or maybe Sakumo thought he was doing his son a favor, righting his wrongs, clearing the family name from the dishonor he brought to the Clan-but he was wrong. He never should have left.
I never should have let him.
Kakashi’s grip on Akami’s hand tightened like a vice, she didn’t flinch or try to wiggle free. She saw it coming the same way she did every year. Instead she rested her head on his shoulder.
“Do you want to be alone?” She whispered. He inhaled shakily through his nose and the grip on her hand grew impossibly tighter.
“No,” he said through clenched teeth.
Akami cradled his hand within both of hers and kneaded it until the tension faded, until he loosened his grip strong enough to crush bone. Then and only then did he rest his head on top of hers. Taking another labored breath.
Kakashi didn’t say anything, she knew he wasn’t embarrassed to speak in front of her. She’d never make him feel embarrassed for that. For reading porn in public yes but not for talking to the dead.
The first time Akami came here with him, Kakashi was mad. It was shortly after Rin died. He made her leave. The second time she watched him head off to the Cemetery—after Kushina and Sensei had been laid to rest—she followed him. Visited their graves with him and watched as he slunk away to the far corner and crumpled in front of a lonely headstone. It wasn’t until the fourth or fifth time that he wordlessly asked her to accompany him. She stood behind him while he sat in silence, kneeling before that single grave. After that she came with him whenever he asked, and even when he didn’t.
One warm autumn day, much like today in fact, Kakashi was different. This day in particular seemed excruciating for him. Like he didn’t want to go but he was being forced to by some other worldly power.
Akami waited for him to walk over to the lonesome headstone but he just stared from where they stood at Rin’s grave. His hands trembled and his grasp on the flowers was suffocating. Akami pried them from between his fingers and headed to the grave herself. She placed them to the side and cleaned the tombstone. In doing so she read it for the first time.
September 3rd…it was his birthday.
Akami kneeled and waited as Kakashi tentatively joined her. They sat in silence, a silence filled only with Kakashi’s suppressed tears and constricted breaths, and the soft rustling of dead leaves as the wind dragged them through the vacant Cemetery. Akami couldn’t listen to it anymore and for the first time in their almost daily visits she straightened her shoulders and clasped her hands together, like she had seen him do hundreds of times. She took a deep breath, shut her eyes and mumbled to grave, finally introducing herself.
“It’s nice to meet you, Hatake-San. I don’t know if Kashi has mentioned me, maybe it’s better if he hasn't. I'm not always the nicest.” Akami could have sworn she heard that soft exhale of Kakashi’s sad smile. “I can’t promise you I won’t hit your son again or say something I regret. But you gave me my best friend and for that I’ll always be grateful. So I can promise that you don’t need to worry, I’ll look out for him now.”
She found it easier to tell Sakumo that she would always be there for Kakashi; so long as he and this world would have her. And ever since then Akami hadn’t missed a single birthday– this year would be no exception.

Naruto and H1n0t0's wedding chapter confirms SNS
For part 4 of Shippuden’s last chapter analysis, and how it actually confirms sns, we’ll go back to the events previous to the wedding.
Pt 4. On how Iruka failed Naruto
As I mentioned on pts. 1-3, the chapters leading to the wedding always seemed odd to me. Something about the flow of dialogue made me feel like there was something I wasn’t understanding. There was one scene in particular in which I felt one of the characters was overreacting about something that shouldn’t be that big of an issue. That scene is where Naruto asks Iruka to attend the wedding as his father.
First, I’ll let you watch the clip (sorry about the quality and lack of sound)
The scene starts with Naruto visiting Iruka. There’s some small talk until Naruto mentions his bachelor days are numbered and wants to make the most of that time, to which Iruka reacts by shouting at him and recriminating him for how hard Hinata has been working for the wedding.
Look at Naruto’s face
Tumblr media
He doesn’t understand Iruka’s reaction, and I agree. Why is Iruka so upset? Naruto’s joke might have been in poor taste, but it was a joke. Granted, planning a wedding is a pain in the ass, but Hinata mentioned in the previous episode that her father had taken care of most of it. Hell, she’s the heiress to the wealthiest most powerful Clan in Konoha. Everything gets done for her (she had fucking bodyguards during the war!) She is not doing the planning alone if at all.
Then, Iruka says he failed to raise Naruto as a decent person (blow #1), which is an overstatement because a couple of ramen bowls and heartfelt conversations don’t equal raising a child, then tries to drag him to Hinata’s house to apologize for raising such a thoughtless man (blow #2). Naruto stops him and says they can’t go to Hinata because if Hinata is present, he can’t say what he wants to say… seriously? Iruka asks what he wants to talk about and Naruto responds he’d like to talk about it over ramen (his comfort food) and some drinks, and Iruka cuts him off.
Look at their faces after that
Tumblr media
Naruto is nervous because of Iruka’s reaction
Tumblr media
Iruka is pissed. I know that face. My mother made that face whenever she was about to tell me how I had fucked up something, and it was never pleasant. But why is Iruka so pissed when Naruto hasn’t even said a thing? What does Iruka suspects or knows Naruto to be guilty about? Then he goes and throws this bomb on Naruto (blow #3):
“I guess I didn’t need to mull over what to say and how to congratulate you.”
「おまえをどう祝ってやるべきか何を伝えればいいのかいろいろ考え必要はなかったな」 I leave the original dialogue too, but it’s pretty much the same:
Like, what? That must have hurt, and it did because look at Naruto’s face when Iruka is walking away.
Tumblr media
As I see it, Iruka’s line can be interpreted two ways. Either he knows about sns and that’s the reason Naruto has neglected Hinata, so Naruto doesn’t deserve the consideration of his words. Or, he suspected Naruto was planning to call off the wedding, in which case there was no need for Iruka to prepare a speech.
There’s a pause before Naruto says he has something to ask from Iruka. This makes Iruka turn back because he wasn’t expecting a request (what were you expecting, Iruka?) and notice we don’t get to see Naruto’s eyes but he’s mouth is tense.
Tumblr media
When we see his eyes again Naruto looks sad. Why? Okay, maybe he doubts Iruka will grant his request after the way he has been treating him. Or, maybe, he has realized he can’t trust Iruka with what he actually had wanted to say.
Tumblr media
Naruto seems lost in thought when he asks Iruka to attend as his father, which softens Iruka’s face like effective immediately. And Iruka is like “Oh, that was it? I thought you were about elope with Sasuke.” And once more, Iruka’s body language doesn’t make sense to me. The tears, ok, it’s an emotive moment, but the clenched fists and the eyes (as if he is containing himself from doing or saying something) before he accepts, don’t add up to me.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Naruto doesn’t look happy, just relieved. Again, not the right reaction in my opinion if his original plan was to ask Iruka to attend the wedding as his father. Naruto should have launched himself at Iruka like he did after Iruka gave him his headband in the first chapter. Instead, they go all formal and thank each other, then Naruto makes a haste exit. Where is he going? Just before the conversation went awry, he was insisting on them having ramen and drinks. Shouldn’t they be celebrating? Moreover, why couldn’t Hinata be present when Naruto presented his request to Iruka? Just a couple of scenes later, Hinata herself says she knew about Naruto making his request.
And why does Iruka starts sobbing when Naruto gets out of sight when they have seen each other cry before? This reeks of guilt and explains why he was behaving the way he did during the wedding.
Imagine being Naruto full of doubts, searching for the support and understanding of the person he trusts the most, the closest thing he ever had to a family and getting this reaction. No wonder their relationship is inexistent in Boruto.

It's impressive how easily he can get into trouble. VERY impressive.
He is always bruised or cut from a fight.
Most students are afraid of him because of his bad reputation (besides his unfriendly appearance), but he is the total opposite of this image with you.
The teachers hate him, because as much as he is a "problem student" he gets good grades - He is not a prodigy or anything, but he is far from being a complete idiot.
And yet he asks you for help with his studies, but it is only to spend more time with you.
In reality, he is a very quiet student in class, not a nuisance. His bad reputation is due to the fights he gets into after class, almost always with older students.
And he is more than ready to pick a fight if he knows that someone is bothering you.
You probably got closer because of some school work, some student position assigned to both of you, something like that.
And when he was alone with you he was so shy! Being so respectful and gentle that he made you disbelieve the rumors about him. (He could barely look you straight in the eyes😭)
(there's also the possibility that he's had a crush on you since he was a kid, but you don't need to know that)
The conversation between you flowed well, and when you realized it, you were already spending all your spare time together.
He always goes to your classroom for you to have lunch together.
He is very shy receiving your affection, but he loves all your demonstrations of love.
Is >>very<< protective of you.
He doesn't want to involve you in his "business", so he hides some things from you.
He's not part of any club because he doesn't have much time for that.
Has some issues with jealousy, will never admit it but is a bit insecure. He will say that he doesn't trust anyone and is afraid that someone will hurt you (which is also true).
I don't need to say that you are his first dating, right? That's why all this concern and care.
Loves to gift you and hang out with you (especially at night, he would take you to some high place to see the stars and say that if he could he would give you the moon as a gift, and that still wouldn't be enough to show you how much he loves you).
He gives you absolute preference, he can be in the middle of class reading a paragraph from the book, if you walk in and say you need him he will stop what he is doing to help you.
He cares a lot about your safety and does everything to protect you, including training together (as much as he doesn't have the courage to attack you and actually hurt).
Overall, he is a very caring and romantic boyfriend, always making you comfortable and making you laugh. He just has a bad reputation for getting involved with the wrong people, and is also a bit temperamental.
Once Obito falls in love with you, it will be for life.

Hi! Would love if you agreed to write an Isekai where female reader "appears" in the Shinobi world and meets Itachi, they fall in love, etc. Female reader has special powers and Itachi protects her. She heals Itachi from his chakra illness and turns his regular Mangekyou Sharingan into an Eternal one.
Something like that, you can add whatever inspires you whether that's fluff, smut or angst (as long as there's a happy ending).
Out Of Nowhere || Itachi Uchiha x fem!reader
A/n : Hello my dear ! Thank you so much for trusting me with your idea. I'm so happy I turned this way !
Part 2 : And Everywhere : Sex In Tsukuyomi
A/n 2 : IMPORTANT TO READ - This part was supposed to be the intro of a smut fic where Y/n wants to ask Itachi to have sex inside Tsukuyomi. But it got out of hands and now it's Part 1. So yes there will be a Part 2 published tomorrow or the day after
Warnings : Fluff, angst, fluffy ending slowly turning into a slow burn, Itachi loves ypu and he needs to protect you, but you're here to protect him as well. Next Part will full smut.

You never thought you’d ever end up in this situation when everything started. You never conceived the idea of someone like him existing. And he never imagined meeting someone like you
How you met, well it was only the chance of destiny
You didn't even know what had happened. You were just walking along when all of a sudden you felt yourself falling ( like just before falling asleep ) and then poof all of a sudden you were somewhere else ( let's say you didn't care about your family and friends lmao because it would be very depressing )
At first you didn't really know where you'd been moved to. You watched the world around you with rapt attention, eager to understand what the hell was happening to you
Nevertheless, you could feel a force within you, like a fire of energy burning deep inside you
But before you could think further your head started throbbing painfully, you started to feel hot flashes. Your hand found a grip on a tree trunk and you slowly slid to the floor. Not even two minutes later you were out, lying unconscious in the middle of this foreign forest
It is some kids that were playing around the area who found you there. While some stayed at your sides, the others ran at full speed to get someone to help
The inhabitants of Konohagakure who were brought by the kids could have been suspicious - like so many other times lmao - but they somehow decided to give you a chance. According to those who found you you were wearing funny clothes and clearly looked disoriented
When you came back to your senses, they didn’t lose any more time to bring you to *inoichi Yamanaka, who sounded your mind to be sure that you weren’t any threat for the village
The more you stayed in Konohagakure the more you started to feel at ease. You quickly learned that you were surrounded by a ninja world in which chakra mastery was a prerequisite for success
You figured that you too, you possessed this form of vital energy that enabled you to enhance your abilities
The most astonishing thing was that yours - probably because of your journey to this world - was different from the shinobis. It had the power to heal the effects of time and disease - like Rapunzel lmao
But you eventually got used to it and started training to become a ninja - Iruka never had such a respectful, elderly pupil 😂
Thanks to your talent and willpower, you were finally able to complete your studies quickly enough to be allowed to go on simple B or C ranked missions within a year - yeah so impressive
However every time you went on a mission, you felt like you weren't at 100%. It was as if you were only using a fraction of the power you had. But you wanted to improve yourself and be best you could be for your fellow comrades So you took matters into your own hands. You went to the central hospital of Konohagakure and asked the doctors to run some tests on you, to try and understand your situation a little better. And a lot has changed after this
The doctors indeed realized that your chakra contained traces of the proteins present in the composition of the Mokuton, Shôton, Byakugan, Sharingan, Rinnegan… the list was so long
They couldn't believe it, they found traces of every Kekkei Genkai in existence, even those thought to have disappeared
Of course, the information leaked out and many ill-intentioned people began to take a close interest in your case. Your power was invaluable and, if used properly, could create an invincible army of ninjas who, thanks to you, could possess several Kekkei Genkai
You weren’t Y/n the newbie anymore, but more the weapon to to declare war on a major power
That's how you met the person who changed your life and made your day. The most talented ninja of his generation had been summoned by the Hokage V to ensure your security
"You understand, Itachi, her safety is our priority. I don't want her to be left alone until all the bounty hunters we know about are put out of action"
"Very well, I won't disappoint you" the young man answered with conviction
Though he hadn't anticipated that he'd take his mission much more to heart than he should have. And finally, even when you were theoretically out of danger, he couldn't resist staying with you. To accompany you on missions or just come for tea after training. And finally he confessed, unable to keep his love for you a secret any longer
To his surprise, you reciprocated his feelings, and that's when the two of you became each other's most important person
After that, you'll all share. Long, exhausting missions that have brought you closer together and strengthened your bond. And then there were the more difficult times, when things had to be done with heavy consequences
But you always managed to find each other. In more or less good shape and condition
This never-ending game of getting lost and finding each other finally came to an end the day he came back to you partially blind. You sensed from his restraint and the almost empty look in his eyes that he couldn't see much. Indeed, his eyes couldn't even make out the contours of your face through all that mist in his eyes and it destroyed him - seriously I'm sure it would have created some ptsd
You couldn't let it go on and convinced him to stop. You kept him close to you and protected him as he had done for you all those years ago
Though there was one thinking you didn’t know. You thought you'd protect him by keeping him away from battles so he wouldn't use his Mangekyou Sharingan, thinking it was the latter that had caused him to lose his sight, but you didn't count on the rare and devastating disease he was suffering from. For some reason, his chakra was the source, and the more it coursed through his veins, the more poisonous it became for Itachi. As a result, his eyesight and health were declining more and more You exhausted yourself day after day, night after night to finally find a way to give him back his sight. He wasn't lost, so to speak, his sharp ninja senses enabled him to perceive everything around him, but... he'd give anything to be able to see your face again
And so, after a few weeks, you succeeded in perfecting a jutsu to restore his sight. He trusted you blindly ( pun unitented / gen ) and he was right. Because it only took you fifteen minutes. And after that draining effort, when he reopened his eyes he felt slightly different
He looked at his hands for a moment, and when he could see the details of the lines in the palm of his hand again, he swore he felt tears starting to well up in his eyes. You'd done it
He saw without any blur your tired face dripping with drops of sweat. When your eyes locked with his, a sigh of relief escaped your lips and you let yourself fall back tiredly onto the bed behind you. His hands came to cradle your face
"You've done wonders Y/n. You're a miracle from heaven" his thumb was rubbing softly against your cheek "I'll never be grateful enough. But you must rest now. Let me take care of you"
With that he took a towel of cold water and passed it over your face to invigorate you. Then he tucked you into bed before joining you like every other night
He spent some extra time admiring the features of your face, which he had missed so much lately. He struggled to understand how such an extraordinary being had crossed his path. How someone like him had been blessed to have you by his side
"Itachi..." he heard you mumble in your sleep, and he couldn't stop a wave of warmth from flooding his heart. He gave you a gentle smile despite the fact that you were fast asleep and pushed a few strands of hair from your forehead. He placed a lingering kiss on it before getting up to brush his teeth
On the way to the bathroom he noticed a slight weight and a tingling sensation in his eye ( does that even make sense ?!? ) as if something had changed. He brushed it off and decided to take care of the task in hand
He took his toothbrush and put some toothpaste on it. Bringing the brush to his mouth, he raised his head and froze. He had just met his own gaze in the mirror, his pupils now adorned with a pattern different from the three tomoe pattern of his Sharingan and the Mangekyou Sharingan he had awakened a little while ago
He swallowed hard as he recognized the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan. He took a deep breath and concentrated on regaining control. When he opened his eyes again, this time he saw his everyday black orbs in the mirror. The ones who admired and observed your every detail
It was the first time he had witnessed this particularity of your chakra. He'd heard about it like many people, but he'd never seen you create or awaken a Kekkei Genkai in someone before
He wondered if you'd done it on purpose though, or if it was just a mistake on your part. He decided not to bother tonight and to address the subject the following day. Finally, he continued brushing his teeth, counting the seconds until he could join you in bed and sleep with you in his arms... or the other way round - he also loves to be held
Little did he know that sleeping wasn't really what was going on for you right now. Sure you were sleeping, but your mind and body were restless
When he raised his head earlier, you did your best not to let your breath hitch when you saw the new pattern in his eyes. You knew enough about the Uchihas to know what it was and the many properties this power possessed
You body felt like on fire as you dreamed a whole host of scenarios in your sleep "That's so hot" you kept thinking
In real life your cheeks were flushed and your thighs clenching. And when Itachi came back to bed he thought that you were feverish from using that much chakra earlier. So he held you close, hoping his warmth would help your fever go down at some point But you wished just one thing right now, having several of him taking care of you at the same time in a timeless dimension

Well I did something
Update! We are at chapter 14 going on 15 now. This is going to be So Much Longer than I thought. Bout to start phase 2 of the KakaIru relationship, dip into the NaruSaku and then spam like three chapters of KisaIta cause I have way more scenes for those two lol
Check it out if you’re into it. Takes place somewhere in the middle of Shippuden, after the Itachi Retrieval arc but in an alternate universe in which Hidan and Kakuzu don’t die (nor does Asuma) and Deidara doesn’t fight Sasuke, though Kisame eventually does. I’ll work out the kinks later (haha punny punny)
Very Naruto-fandom Summary updated:
For Shinobi, Love is tantamount to Sin. There are good reasons for that.
For each Shinobi harbors Scars, and hides Secrets. Scars that twist them; Secrets that scar them. Sometimes love can heal. Sometimes it can hurt. And sometimes it’s just inevitable.
A tale focusing on a few sets of Lovers whose stories drift together, and as they collide like galaxies, they create new, otherwise implausible worlds along the way.
Or, a tale in which Itachi doesn't quite get his way, and Sasuke has no choice but to return home to find his brother, with some...unexpected, company of his own; Kakashi becomes a savior and surrogate lover as well as a real one, and Kisame is hopelessly doomed by the narrative because love makes you do stupid things. Selfless, honest, terrible, very stupid things.
*smut officially begins in ch. 9* *Sasuke’s arc starts ch. 12* SLOW BURN with disjointed character chapters/arcs at the beginning. This will resolve as the arcs collide.
PAIRINGS: Kakashi/Iruka and Kisame/Itachi main, in that order more or less. Eventual Kakashi/Itachi and maaaaybe a three way. Maybe.
Others include Sasuke/Suigetsu (which isn’t exactly serious) and Sasuke/Karin (with consequences) cause we are goin with the repressed hyper sexual teenager trope again, Naruto/Sakura (no! Not like that! Don’t compare me to the incels that write that crap) and eventually a Naruto/Sasuke/Sakura polycule. They’re rare! And honestly I Love writing Sakura way more than I thought I would. Exploring the Naruto verse from Kunoichi perspective is Fun! (If a bit depressing)
Loads of BDSM stuff particularly where Sasuke and Kakashi are concerned. Are you surprised? lol.
Genre: Hurt/comfort (much ow. Lots of angst. Plenty of bittersweet.) some Whump-ish moments, especially in the Awkward Caretaker trope. no horror elements (gasp! No horror from me? Unheard of!) but some medical stuff that’s pretty accurate but not very gory. I tried to curb my itch to make it bloody but if you’ve read my stuff or been around on my blog you’ll know that’s hard.
WARNING: Explicit Rating Justified. A Dead Dove: Do Not Eat (pfffft like I write anything else) Some vague but critically important scenes of SA. Deals with heavy PTSD issues, SA recovery, and Cancer, because Itachi is Dying and I needed something more survivable than the alternatives. Some medical ickiness and Ew moments but nothing too graphic. (Eh…for me, that is. Take it with a pinch of salt.) among these are mentions of morphine use in hospice, euthanasia, The Death Rattle, vomiting, migraines, aforementioned cancer, and Awkward Caretaker moments.
There’s also some um…social commentary? About the Japanese-flavored society these characters live in embedded into the story, things like social homophobia and sexism that are similarly Japanese-flavored and kinda historically accurate. (Plus like, Kishimoto man. He built that crap into the manga and it feels weird not to notice it?)
Itachi LIVES but so does Sasuke. They do eventually make nice…The Hard Way. (Undecided how I’m handling their relationship. Might decideto go for a Brother Complex Sasuke. Right now the fic is writing itself and I’m just letting it. Will update if that happens.)
Also I know way too many things about sharks so my Kisame HC’s are working through lol Sharks Make Sounds and You Can’t Stop Me.
