Claudia Durastanti, Strangers I Know / NBC’s Hannibal (2013-2015)
"Every crime of yours feels like one I am guilty of. Not just Abigail's murder, every murder stretching backward and forward in time. Freeing yourself from me and me freeing myself from you, they are the same. We're conjoined."

There's a lot of fics out there that show how willing Poseidon is to make Percy immortal and it's like, granted yeah, Percy was part of two huge prophecies, but... those wars were Nico's too. So I think Hades would be inclined, if not more enthusiastic, to bestowing Nico immortality.
Like think about it: throughout the books, Hades sees his son grow from a grieving child trying to talk to his mom once more, a desperate boy pushing the limits to bring his older sister back even though he can't to a hero who looks past all the grievances he has to help the gods who hurt him before, to help the demigods who have quietly distrusted and ostracized him, just because it's the right thing to do.
Impressed by his tenacity and love, Hades rewards the demigod with dignity, a birthright he was taken away from too quickly. He argues with Pluto secretly, and tries to bargain with him to let Nico see New Rome. The idea is ridiculous Pluto thinks, and the deal of Nico becoming his Ambassador is to be permanently off the table. That is, until Nico brings back Hazel to the land of the living. It's at that point Pluto begrudgingly allows Nico entrance to Camp Jupiter and to wear that title.
In the events succeeding Son of Neptune and preceding Mark of Athena, imagine Hades going indefinitely silent in Pluto's mind when Nico is sucked into Tartarus. Pluto wonders if that's the price that was to be paid -- a daughter of Pluto for the son of Hades.
But then he returns (albeit, severely weakened and trapped in a jar), and Hades is somewhat relieved.
Timeskip forward and now Nico is going back there... again. Just because friends don't leave friends behind.
There's a reason why holding grudges is a fatal flaw for children of Hades. Their lives are marked by unfathomable sorrow and it changes them to the point they're unrecognizable.
But there are parts of little, loving, Niccolo alive still, regardless of the horrors Nico has faced. And Hades knows this. He knows this demigod is unlike any of his other children he's sired. And with the oath he took to never have affairs with mortal women, Nico would also be his last child.
As someone who took the oath seriously, wouldn't it make the matter of Nico's mortality all the more pressing?

Pluto isn't a planet anymore.
It was reclassified in 2006.
That is around the time Percy Jackson is set, right? It could be the year of titans curse. It could be the year Zeus and Poseidon found out Hades also has kids yet he technically never broke the pact made after WW2.
I say these guys are petty enough, how about you?

Yknow, as much as Percy's god dad is loved, I see Hades as one of the best god dads as well in some ways. Man really tried his best to save the entire Di Angelo family after the pact was formed. Loved Maria, loved his kids too. Hell, he gave Nico a room when he was practically homeless.

On they went then in darkness, through the lonely Shadowing night, a nowhere of deserted dwellings, Dim phantasmal reaches where Pluto is king-- Like following a forest path by the hovering light Of a moon that clouds and unclouds at Jupiter's whim, While the colours of the world pall in the gloom.
