What to say? Maybe it's the ADHD or the fact that I just came from two long BLCDs, but I'm always in a bad headspace when I listen to OFC. 😅 The second volume just went the second route of sequels: misunderstandings/insecurities featuring third-party appearances. I really get where Nozue-san's coming from and I'm not saying that his insecurities are invalid or whatever—it's just that he's the one who wanted to make their relationship low-key, but he was doing the worst job at it. 🙄And like what I've said in my review for volume 1, they don't have a big age gap, so this age gag with Nozue-san just annoys me. It doesn't help that they mention it every five pages or so. The more Sagan Sagan does it, the more Nozue-san's age sounds more like an excuse than a gag.

Yoneda Kou's spoiled me to the point that I can't accept anything less, it seems. 🤷Don't blame me for comparing, they also have a Togawa over there.

Anyway, that's enough of the plot.

Chil-chil 2023 was a lie. There is no way Okitsu placed fourth while Youhei placed 13th. If anything, they should be reversed—and that's coming from me, one of the biggest Okitsu whores on this site. But being an Okitsu simp also means I know how that man sounds like, and that man sounds awkward af in this tone. His Nozue-san is too slow and too light for him. Nozue-san does have moments where he'll explode in panic or anger, but considering how light and slow Okitsu's portrayal of him is, you would expect his explosions to be more on the lighter side, right? WRONG. HE GOES FULL JONATHAN JOESTAR TO DO IT LMAO

I failed to mention in my first review that Nozue-san looks like Italy from Hetalia which is why I wanted NamiD for him... if he wasn't so problematic. Anyway, thankfully, we have a live-action. I very much prefer Kouhei Takeda over Okitsu as Nozue-san. HAHAHAHAHAHA

Youhei was the true MVP of this BLCD. I don't get how he placed so low. He was very stable, and his sex appeal shined throughout the CD. It kind of reminds me of Maeno's tbh. Chil-chil 2022 might've robbed him, but this man has earned his seat at the "tops you should look out for" table in my view. Congratulations!

The BLCD was pretty accurate to the manga. Read-alongs are indeed possible with it, but I will say that I had an issue with SuBLime's localization. For one thing, the second volume wasn't consistent with the first. Togawa calls Nozue-san "Mr. Nozue" in the first volume while he calls him "Nozue" in the second.😑I don't want to go on a long rant about honorifics, but when it comes to stories where age is an important factor, I am firm in my belief that the Japanese or a close English equivalent should be used. It's a Japanese story set in Japan; it's not your culture to localize. There, I said it.

Yes, we stan being redundant even when the original wasn't. 😌 I wouldn't be nit-picking if y'all just licensed Koi ga, SuBLime.

Still, please try supporting the official transla localization if you can. I can't say that the production was great because of Okitsu, but this actually placed fifth in the 2022 awards, so do with that info what you wish. If y'all want more office bl, then I shamelessly recommend Yoneda Kou's Doushitemo Furetakunai (Ishikawa Hideo x Nojima Kenji) and Soredemo, Yasashii Koi o Suru (Morikawa Toshiyuki x Nojima Hirofumi).

Hey y’all, just feel like venting about this because I’m genuinely frustrated with Amino.

Amino sucks.

And I mean it, it genuinely does. Back in my days, such as 2018, Amino was definitely a lot better, but also wasn’t very safe for children back then, and I’ll stand by that with my own personal experiences. It was also less-restrictive then, and its definitely changed now.

Entering 2024, I ended up staying late up one night, remembering old friends from Amino I was forced to leave 6 years ago, and out of nostalgia and missing them, I redownloaded Amino.

Everything was okay but everything was definitely different, and out of fun since I was wanting to wait for old friends to possibly come back, I joined a few communities.

Looking into guidelines, it’s easy to notice how ‘protect the children’ thing going on and it was like, “Weird… That wasn’t there before.” And it made EVERYTHING more restrictive and more ‘child-friendly’, when they’ve never worked to protect children before like ever.

Meanwhile they have communities about literal serial killers n shit:

I left because I posted some art there and was being silly and put smth like: I love my wife in the title, because I’m a Huntress simp. And they took it down despite my showing previous attraction to the character, getting awarded in the featured thing ESPECIALLY when I’ve shown that I was attracted to the character. I’m a simp, and like???

And it got taken down, and one of the people are like: “DM me.” Like no?? What was the point. I did nothing against the guidelines, but okay, sure. I deleted Amino after because I’ve already dealt with other issues that were just plain stupid to me.

Doesn’t help in other communities they also took down posts for small things like, I had a TikTok that I posted bc the video wasn’t working and they say, ‘Don’t self-promote’. ??? And then I made a post asking how to fix the wikis and turn them into blogs bc I wasn’t sure how the app worked. That post was also taken down bc I didn’t have art featuring at all and it’s like, okay then I guess. 💀

Those are just my personal experiences, Amino is bad. They restrict a lot and don’t allow a lot of freedom with your art or anything. It’s just not a good app, go to a place like Tumblr that’ll let you post most art and will give you more creative freedom and doesn’t restrict your speech either. Trust. Amino doesn’t like simps either lmao.

Anyways sorry for the rant, it may look ridiculous to some people but I just wanted to express my frustrations because why have Amino in the first place and advertise it like, “Oh it’s a place to express yourself and your art!”?

Usually, he was the one crumbling. He couldn't know she was crumbling too.

She forced her voice to sound level, to sound normal.  

"Yes?"

"Do you know where my buzzing magnets are? I could've sworn I left them on that table there…"

"Oh, I put them on that bookshelf over there." She gestured towards the general direction, forcing down a sob that was crawling up her throat. She heard rustling and the buzz of the magnets being clacked together.

"Thanks Gem!" he exclaimed, and she could hear the mischievous grin in his voice.

Which usually would've made her smile fondly, but now? It only reminded her of the moment before disaster, before he gets in trouble and she gets the blame, the punishment, and takes it for him, because he's younger. Not by much, only 15 minutes, but he's younger , and he needed to be protected.

( What good did that do, when he would've gotten hurt eventually? The bitter thought crossed her mind, but she pushed it away.

the ratings for bl’s are so weird on mdl. when i first starting watching bl’s back in 2020 the most popular dramas LBC, TOL, TT etc had ratings over 8.5 and now 90% of bl’s are rated in the 7 range. it’s like people judge bl’s the way they judge academy award winning movies

I mean I think it goes without saying that the fact that the quantity of these shows exploded so massively over the last 2 years resulted in a bigger competition and a more critical audience - especially on MDL. Which is not surprising as more and more shows are raising the bar, but as I said it’s no reason to be as aggressively negative as most of these people. I’m still pissed about this but I’ve also come to the conclusion that it's best to just not take these things so seriously lmao. Both the shows and the fandom. Like just watch what you enjoy, find a platform to express that joy, and let the rest go. And as you said, none of these shows are part of any oscar lineup or anything lmao so yeah. They’re just there to enjoy, simp over and make fun of every once in a while lmao. maybe we should all just chill a bit. ✌️

My Ranking of JJBA Parts

From my favorite to least favorite, let's go!

Vento Aureo (Part 5): The fact that it takes place in Italy and has lots of likeable characters makes part 5 my favorite. Giorno is as kind as Jonathan and as ruthless as Dio. Truly interesting. I also really like Bucciarati, Doppio and Risotto. And here is a fun fact: When I watched this part for the first time, I got spoiled that Diavolo had an alter personality. But I thought it was Abbachio and I was shocked when he wasn't the big evil mafia boss lmao 🤣

Stardust Crusaders (Part 3): I really enjoy series where they travel the world, and enemy stand user of the week formula was interesting to me. There were a few times it felt repetitive though 😅 I really liked stands like Death 13 and D'arby Brothers too!

Diamond is Unbreakable (Part 4): I used to find this part boring, but when I rewatched it I loved it. Minor villains become side characters and Rohan is petty enough to let his house burn down 🤣 I find his relationship with Josuke funny.

Jojolion (Part 8): This could have been my number one. Gappy trying to find his identity and Yasuho being his sweet GF is wonderful. Rock humans and fruits plot is interesting. But unfortunately this part has the brainless incel Joshu and whenever I saw him, I wanted to go blind. He is a horrible simp who attempted to force himself on Yasuho every chance he gets 🤬

Battle Tendency (Part 2): I find Joseph overrated and something about him rubs me the wrong way. But I have to admit that he fought well against pillarmen.

Phantom Blood (Part 1): This part's plot is weaker compared to other parts, but Jonathan is an amazing Jojo. If the plot was better I would put this a few ranks higher.

And the bottom, the worst part award goes to... Stone Ocean (Part 6): Jolyne is powerful and determined to save Jotaro. FF is best girl and Anasui is much more tolerable compared to Joshu. But I hate this part's enemy stands. They are too complicated to understand and I felt like I was tortured when I was watching Dragon's Dream. Plus the main cast is struggling in vain. What's the point of fighting so much if they can't stop the gay af priest? Then there is the asspull of Dio having more sons than Giorno yet him or his GER not being there to trap Pucci in a loop. Or not even knowing about his evil siblings.

As for SBR (Part 7) I can't rank it. Because I haven't seen it yet and it would be unfair if I tried to comment based on my very limited knowledge.

hood is just, perfect. reading those 100 chapters were so much fun. it is the best smau i have read yet! truly, i love it so much. first of all, i'd like to point out the hilarious things i found in the profiles chapter. i love how sunwoo's username is "thesunrises" and his bio being "when i start rapping" LMAO plus juyeon's tweet in the same chapter reminds me of chan's "do you know what else is big? my feet." it was hard silencing my laugh, especially since it was around early morning and everybody else living in the house is asleep. the concept that hood is not one, but 3 entities, is really cool. it legit felt like i was watching a movie.

i'm really happy with the endgame, bias things ig ✨ the pictures of changmin that you used for the tweets were really 😌👌 changmin shy trope is now my favourite. i promise, you won't be able to imagine the many times that fic made me flustered. when he straight up confessed, omaygad. at first, i thought reader would end up with younghoon. but reading their first conversation with changmin after many many years of not talking (?) , I PROMISE YOU, I FELT IT. i felt the changmin endgame mate.

i'm going to rant about changmin's character just bc. HE'S ADORABLE!!!!! changmin trying to find out hood's real identity for reader is so cute huhu. and the part where he got jealous of sunwoo bc reader and him kept on calling each other 'baby' just for funs, really got me screaming. that was my favourite part, i honestly don't know why. maybe bc i'm a sucker for jealousy leads or bc that's when changmin accepted his own feeling. idk lmfao. as much as how i love his simp-like (??) tendencies, i adore the fact that he stood up for himself at the end when he felt like he wasn't trusted by reader. it just shows that as much as he cares for them, he has self-love and respect, sum shit like that. anyways, i like their (reader and changmin) relationship. they can comfortably talk out any problems lol. v v v v v cute.

reader's character is just 🙇👑. i love how determined they are about their goals. the robin hood idea is just wow. i love how they were set on in exposing the academy's dark side even though they knew how much trouble they are getting into. just, mad respect. the thought itself seems reckless but how are we going to achieve success if we don't take risks? i just love love love love them. periodt. plus the fact that they were ready for any consequences is just 👌👌👌.

younghoon is so clever in thinking of using sharpie to hide the notes. like omg. kinda dumb if you were supposed to you know, 'not get caught' BUT SINCE THAT'S NOT HIS PLAN, i just pure adoration for him please. it really was insensitive of reader at the end when they asked younghoon to help with the 'sending president kim to jail' scheme. it's still his father after all (add the fact that reader literally apologized and thanked every single character individually to the 13 reasons why i love reader). but, he thought rationally and that's why the plan succeeded. younghoon is king. happy for him that he gets to pursue music <333

eric and sunwoo deserves the best best best friend award, like seriously. i cannot get over the 3's friendship, they are wholesome af. eric and sunwoo might be my favourite characters in the series huhu. hyunjae was surprisingly perceptive. his character is the most hilarious one LMFAO also haknyeon, like wtf. he's smart. if reader didn't end up with changmin, might have shipped them with haknyeon LOL chanhee is such a mood every damn time. i love him too. Hello! Maybe you have already receive such question but... Who is your favorite character in tw? And why?

Hi! Hi! It's okay, this is the first question of its kind heheheheh! (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧ Hope you don't mind it being long though!

It's very hard for me to actually choose cause really all of the characters are just superb from their designs to their personalities and dialogues and even small gestures. The team really worked on every detail and I think it's why I was so pulled into this Fandom in the first place.

But since you ask so uwu-ly I shall answer to the best of my abilities lmao

I'll make it into categories cause these characters are my favourites for very different things

First off we have my bias, my one and only Red Eclipse Emperor,Riddle Rosehearts.

Funnily enough,Riddle was ranked the lowest when I first got into Twst cause every inch of him falls short (no pun intended) in my type of man lmao

I literally said; "He looks like a little brother character, Def not my taste"

Oh,how tables turn.

Riddle is my all time favourite because his story and conflict resonates with me alot. That fear of being excluded and not being able to control everything even when you give it your all hits home for me, especially the way Riddle clings to rules to patch up the wounds he had to endure along his childhood.

Of course I'm not nearly as troubled as he is, but I get it,you know? The way he just lets his frustration eat away at him because he doesn't want to seem weak or incompetent in front of his peers and mother is similar to me not wanting to look vulnerable to my family and friends. He also has this soft side that makes me want to hurl all my love to him 😩💖

My favourite in the aspect of character design has to go to Leona even when all I wanna do is just smack him square on the jaw every single time he comes up

I'll only say this once and that is Leona is just the most well designed Character throughout the whole game (in my very humble opinion ofc) I mean seriously he just looks gorgeous from his hair to the way his eyes turn this dull,green when he's upset or angry and the fact that his built is my ideal type is just 👌🏻👌🏻

I love how they made it so Leona has this rustic yet elegant feel to himself that's just so rarely done in anime,like you can actually feel the overbearingness of his arrogance and intimidation. And from a glance you can actually tell he's a Prince or of Royal blood from how richly coloured he is.

Just 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 to the team who worked on him! YA'LL DESERVE A DAMN AWARD 😤😤😤

Next is my favourite sunshine Kalim. I love this boy because he's just so genuinely wholesome. Usually characters like these are really hard for me to like cause they usually come off as pretentious to me but Kalim just nailed his way into my heart and now when I talk about the sun it's really just Kalim 😩✨

Jamil wins favourite voice because hot damn he takes chotto eroi to a whole new level. I have a voice kink (surprise surprise) and Jamil really shocked me with his voice and Its ironic cause in general terms he's my least favourite (no offense to his stans tho 👉🏻👈🏻) and I'm not familiar with his VA at all.

Again, I love all the boys in Twst because in the end they're very different with very unique aspects to their character build that makes me extremely envious as a writer and it doesn't necessarily mean the ones I listed out today are the only ones I'd simp over HAHAHAHA they're just the ones who's given me the biggest impact throughout the game.
